- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome.
- 0:00Speaker 2: It is the Ben Ferguson Show, Hour three. It is
- 0:04Speaker 2: so nice to have you with US Secretary of Transportation
- 0:10Speaker 2: Sean Duffy saying on ABC this week that once the
- 0:13Speaker 2: straight opens you'll see immediate relief on gas prices. He
- 0:18Speaker 2: did a one on one interview about the economic fallout
- 0:23Speaker 2: is how the Democrats had described it and the issue
- 0:27Speaker 2: with key shipping routes that have been blocked. As he
- 0:31Speaker 2: went on ABC this Week, Democrats trying to score major
- 0:35Speaker 2: political points and trying to say that this is all
- 0:38Speaker 2: the fault of President Donald Trump and therefore you should
- 0:42Speaker 2: blame him for everything. The hosts came out well doing
- 0:47Speaker 2: exactly what you'd expect from the fake journalists, saying, we
- 0:50Speaker 2: just heard our experts say gas prices could great record highs,
- 0:54Speaker 2: and then Shawn Duffy finally was able to respond, I
- 0:58Speaker 2: want you to listen to part of this back and forth,
- 1:00Speaker 2: and I also want you to remember this is the
- 1:02Speaker 2: same media that praised high gas prices in the name
- 1:07Speaker 2: of global warming and the Green New Deal. They weren't
- 1:11Speaker 2: badgering the Biden administration or the Obama administration when prices
- 1:14Speaker 2: skyrocketed on purpose. Remember it was the Obama administration that
- 1:20Speaker 2: said that their goal was to have gasoline prices higher
- 1:23Speaker 2: than Europe, to force you into buying an electric vehicle,
- 1:27Speaker 2: making gas so expensive that you would have no other
- 1:30Speaker 2: choice to turn to solar and wind and Kumbai Yai energy. Well,
- 1:36Speaker 2: now they're angry Donald Trump for protecting America from a
- 1:39Speaker 2: nuclear weapon and a nuclear Iran. And so what are
- 1:42Speaker 2: they doing. They're talking about gas prices twenty four to
- 1:45Speaker 2: seven because they know that many Americans are angry when
- 1:48Speaker 2: they pull up to a pump and they see higher prices.
- 1:51Speaker 2: All right, I want to take a moment and I
- 1:53Speaker 2: want to talk to you about the incredible impact that
- 1:55Speaker 2: you can have for the people of Israel. Right now,
- 1:58Speaker 2: Right now, are Jewish friends are feeling forgotten. There's a
- 2:02Speaker 2: Jewish woman named Esther I'd like to tell you about,
- 2:05Speaker 2: and her home is an Israel. Esther is living through
- 2:08Speaker 2: days and nights of fear. Sirens are sounding, rockets screaming
- 2:13Speaker 2: through the sky, long stretches spent in a bomb shelter.
- 2:17Speaker 2: She's eighty four years old. Esther is elderly. She's fragile
- 2:21Speaker 2: and all alone. Now imagine that, no help, no food deliveries,
- 2:25Speaker 2: no medical care, no one knocking at the door.
- 2:28Speaker 1: It's a war zone.
- 2:29Speaker 2: But because of friends like you, Esther is not alone
- 2:33Speaker 2: now through the IFCJ, they are there, bringing her food,
- 2:38Speaker 2: meeting her urgent needs, and reminding Jewish people like Esther,
- 2:42Speaker 2: you are not forgotten in times of fear and uncertainty.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Your compassion brings hope and real help. Esther asks that
- 2:50Speaker 2: you hear these words quote to those who give, you
- 2:54Speaker 2: are doing a very great mitzvah, a good deed you
- 2:57Speaker 2: give from your heart.
- 2:59Speaker 1: May God tech you friends.
- 3:01Speaker 2: I want you to know your gift to God's people
- 3:04Speaker 2: is truly hope giving and life saving. So if you've
- 3:08Speaker 2: not gotten involved with the IFCJ, please do it now
- 3:11Speaker 2: and don't wait. Call eight and eight for eight eight
- 3:15Speaker 2: IFCJ right now. That's eight and eight for eight eight IFCJ,
- 3:22Speaker 2: or go to if CJ dot org.
- 3:24Speaker 1: That's IFCJ dot org. Now.
- 3:27Speaker 2: They had no problem covering for the Green New Deal,
- 3:31Speaker 2: and for Obama and for Biden, and not just weeks
- 3:34Speaker 2: or even months, but literally years of high gas prices.
- 3:38Speaker 2: They had no problem covering and justifying those prices. But
- 3:42Speaker 2: this time when it comes to issue national security, no, no, no.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Ahead of the midterm elections, they're gonna do everything they
- 3:49Speaker 2: can to beat conservatives. Take a listen to the back
- 3:53Speaker 2: and forth on Duffy.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Good morning to you, Secretary Duffy. We just heard our
- 3:58Speaker 3: experts say gas prices could break record highs and even
- 4:02Speaker 3: if the Strait open today, it would take months to
- 4:06Speaker 3: recover and for those gas prices to go down. What
- 4:09Speaker 3: is your reaction, Well, a couple things.
- 4:13Speaker 4: I'll tell you that every time I go into the
- 4:15Speaker 4: Oval Office, I hear the President talk about energy prices.
- 4:18Speaker 4: That's been going on since he took this second term
- 4:22Speaker 4: in Washington. He's been concerned about American energy dominance, making
- 4:27Speaker 4: sure Americans produce more, we drive interview energy prices down.
- 4:31Speaker 4: But he's also confronted with the idea that could there
- 4:34Speaker 4: be a nuclear Iran and understands the threat of that reality.
- 4:40Speaker 4: This Iran has been the most destabilizing force in the
- 4:42Speaker 4: world for forty years. He sees that as untenable, and
- 4:46Speaker 4: I would agree with him. We can't have a nuclear Iran.
- 4:47Speaker 4: And so he's taking action, bold action, and again he's
- 4:52Speaker 4: going to make sure that the world in America is
- 4:53Speaker 4: safer as we look forward, not just in the several
- 4:57Speaker 4: months after this conflict, but in the several years and
- 4:59Speaker 4: decades after he's out of the presidency.
- 5:01Speaker 3: So that clearly seems the most important thing to President Trump.
- 5:05Speaker 3: But meanwhile, back to those gas prices, do you agree
- 5:09Speaker 3: it could take months even if the Straight opened today,
- 5:12Speaker 3: and that those gas prices might break record highs?
- 5:19Speaker 4: Well, listen, So I'm at DOT, I'm not in the
- 5:21Speaker 4: energy sector, but from all the briefings I've had, once
- 5:25Speaker 4: the Straight opens, you'll see prices come down, come down immediately,
- 5:30Speaker 4: and again there's going to be a.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Tail to that.
- 5:32Speaker 4: It's going to take time to get back to where
- 5:33Speaker 4: we were before this conflict began, but you're going to see,
- 5:37Speaker 4: I think, immediate relief once the Straight opens.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Immediate relief. Okay, President Trump said Friday that he is
- 5:44Speaker 3: dying to make a deal with Iran.
- 5:45Speaker 1: You mentioned Iran.
- 5:46Speaker 3: Of course, I know you're at the DOT, but this
- 5:49Speaker 3: is a big issue clearly, And what kind of offer
- 5:52Speaker 3: he has gotten from the Iranians.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Do you know anything about this?
- 5:55Speaker 3: And why the President would say they have not yet
- 5:57Speaker 3: paid a big enough price. What does that mean exactly?
- 6:02Speaker 4: Yeah, listen, So the President has done very well in
- 6:06Speaker 4: his career as a builder and as a president, and
- 6:11Speaker 4: he doesn't talk publicly about, you know, what those negotiations are,
- 6:15Speaker 4: doesn't necessarily say and front run what he's going to want.
- 6:20Speaker 4: I think we've let this play out. But the President's
- 6:21Speaker 4: going to look for a good deal, a great deal
- 6:23Speaker 4: for the world, in for America with the Iranians. But
- 6:26Speaker 4: I think it's untenable to think that the Iranians have
- 6:28Speaker 4: a nuclear weapon and they're going to have to open
- 6:31Speaker 4: the straits. And again, the President's going to negotiate that out,
- 6:35Speaker 4: and I think in the end, America is going to benefit.
- 6:38Speaker 1: One of the let's just hit pause there.
- 6:41Speaker 2: You just heard two and a half minutes of doom
- 6:44Speaker 2: and gloom and every question that was asked from ABC
- 6:49Speaker 2: this week. ABC refuses to be intellectually honest about what
- 6:55Speaker 2: the president is trying to do. They are intellectually just
- 7:00Speaker 2: honest about the real threat that Ran is to this
- 7:03Speaker 2: country if they get a nuclear weapon. They refuse to
- 7:08Speaker 2: talk about how the prices will come down after they've
- 7:14Speaker 2: gone up, because this is a temporary thing. This isn't
- 7:17Speaker 2: a policy thing, I want to be clear, and they
- 7:21Speaker 2: shouldn't understand that they should get that They should know
- 7:24Speaker 2: that this is not a policy decision like the Bay
- 7:29Speaker 2: Obama years with the Green New Deals, that they made
- 7:31Speaker 2: a deliberate policy decision to make the prices skyrocket of
- 7:37Speaker 2: oil and gas. They stopped exploration, they stopped leasing federal lands,
- 7:45Speaker 2: They did everything they could to make the prices go higher,
- 7:51Speaker 2: not lower for the American people. This time, this is
- 7:55Speaker 2: a cause and effect of US protecting our national security.
- 8:00Speaker 2: They know that, but they also understand that they can
- 8:03Speaker 2: turn this into a crisis and make the American people.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Their goal is to hopefully turn on the President of
- 8:08Speaker 2: the United States of America. They want this to be
- 8:12Speaker 2: a midterm disaster for the President of the United States
- 8:16Speaker 2: of America. That is what this is really all about.
- 8:21Speaker 2: And if you listen to her questioning here, there's not
- 8:25Speaker 2: one thing that she's said so far that says, hey,
- 8:28Speaker 2: there's obviously been a forty plus year track record of
- 8:31Speaker 2: Iran doing everything they can to kill Americans and to
- 8:35Speaker 2: sponsor terrorism and to obtain a nuclear weapon. They refuse
- 8:40Speaker 2: to talk about the reality of that situation. And you
- 8:43Speaker 2: have to ask yourself the question, why keep listening to
- 8:48Speaker 2: this interview? I want you to just keep listening to
- 8:50Speaker 2: what is said here. It is incredible. I mean, it
- 8:55Speaker 2: is truly incredible to see the out of disdain that
- 9:02Speaker 2: they have for Donald Trump and his administration.
- 9:05Speaker 3: Things the President said early on is that the war
- 9:07Speaker 3: would be over in about four to six weeks. I
- 9:10Speaker 3: also want you to listen to Energy Secretary Chris Wright,
- 9:13Speaker 3: who told me in this program what he told me
- 9:15Speaker 3: back in March when I asked him how long Americans
- 9:18Speaker 3: should expect high gas prices.
- 9:21Speaker 5: I think that this conflict will certainly come to the
- 9:23Speaker 5: end in the next few weeks. Could be sooner than that,
- 9:26Speaker 5: but the conflict will come to the end in the
- 9:28Speaker 5: next few weeks, and we'll see a rebound in supplies
- 9:31Speaker 5: and a pushing down of prices after that.
- 9:34Speaker 3: That was seven weeks ago. You said essentially the same
- 9:38Speaker 3: thing about a week later, saying it would be short
- 9:41Speaker 3: lived in your view. Why didn't that happen?
- 9:45Speaker 4: Well, I think if you listen to the Secretary, Hegseth
- 9:47Speaker 4: and Raising Kane, our general who's orchestrating this war militarily,
- 9:54Speaker 4: they've been wildly successful. The President's been successful in executing
- 9:59Speaker 4: the the military operation. Again, we're now navigating, you know,
- 10:03Speaker 4: the safety through the Strait of Hormuz and also trying
- 10:06Speaker 4: to navigate the UH the the nuclear material that Aron
- 10:11Speaker 4: has taking a little bit longer, and that's going to
- 10:15Speaker 4: play out over the next several weeks. But per Chris
- 10:19Speaker 4: Wright's point, again, you're gonn start to see immediate relief
- 10:22Speaker 4: once the straight opens and supply flows again, we are
- 10:25Speaker 4: going to be in a way better place. I will
- 10:27Speaker 4: say this, Martha, it's important for Americans to understand we
- 10:30Speaker 4: have a tremendous amount of energy in America, and so yes,
- 10:34Speaker 4: it is priced globally oil and gases, but in America,
- 10:38Speaker 4: we're not going to have supply shortages because we produce
- 10:40Speaker 4: so much here and that is a net benefit to
- 10:44Speaker 4: the US as we look at for me jet fuel
- 10:47Speaker 4: prices or even the supply chain for energy at the
- 10:51Speaker 4: pump for American citizens. We have deep supply here and
- 10:54Speaker 4: I think that's that can't be forgotten because President Trump
- 10:57Speaker 4: has focused on American energy and America energy dominance.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Mister Secretarya, I know you're feeling optimistic about this, but
- 11:04Speaker 3: Americans are apparently not. Our new poll makes clear they
- 11:07Speaker 3: feel generally bleak about their financial situation. Again, forty four
- 11:12Speaker 3: percent cut back on driving, forty two percent, cut household expenses,
- 11:16Speaker 3: thirty four percent, changed vacation plans. The rise in gas
- 11:20Speaker 3: prices is having a real effect.
- 11:23Speaker 1: So what, let's just stop there.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Where was this reporting when they had high gas prices
- 11:28Speaker 2: for like four years of Biden, When we had it
- 11:31Speaker 2: for countless years under Obama.
- 11:33Speaker 1: They didn't do these stories.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Notice that he just went back to the insuanacial security
- 11:38Speaker 2: and she immediately goes.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Back to the economy matters.
- 11:42Speaker 5: Right.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Remember when we had that whole fight over egg prices.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Remember that was like a big thing, and then when
- 11:47Speaker 2: the egg prices dropped, you never heard anything about it
- 11:49Speaker 2: ever again, because Donald Trump did what he said he
- 11:52Speaker 2: was going to do when.
- 11:53Speaker 1: The gas prices dropped.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Did the did Martha and all these others talk about
- 11:57Speaker 2: how amazing Trump's policies of a mayor first actually were. No, Nope,
- 12:04Speaker 2: they just move on to the next crisis they try
- 12:06Speaker 2: to create and then try to destroy Donald Trump in
- 12:10Speaker 2: that moment. I will be the first to say this,
- 12:14Speaker 2: I genuinely hate the gas prices where they are right now.
- 12:20Speaker 2: I also understand why the gas prices are where they
- 12:24Speaker 2: are right now.
- 12:25Speaker 1: I'm not an idiot. I understand that this is temporary.
- 12:29Speaker 2: I also understand that it's going to take probably a
- 12:31Speaker 2: couple months for the prices to come back down after
- 12:35Speaker 2: the strain of Horm Moves is open, which, by the way,
- 12:37Speaker 2: brings us to another part of this story. Donald Trump
- 12:41Speaker 2: has come out and is said now that the US
- 12:44Speaker 2: will begin to guide stranded ships out of the strainerform
- 12:48Speaker 2: Moves on Monday, after a cargo ship came under tack
- 12:51Speaker 2: near the waterway. President announcing this Sunday afternoon, Trump said
- 12:56Speaker 2: countries from all over the world that operate the hundreds
- 13:00Speaker 2: of ships stuck around the straight of Horm Moves have
- 13:03Speaker 2: reached out to US for help, with the President vowing
- 13:06Speaker 2: to step it up. Quote for the good of Iran,
- 13:09Speaker 2: the Middle East, United States of America. We have told
- 13:12Speaker 2: these countries that we will guide their ships safely out
- 13:16Speaker 2: of these restricted waterways so they can freely and ably
- 13:19Speaker 2: get on with their business.
- 13:22Speaker 1: These are ships from.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Areas of the world that are not in any way
- 13:25Speaker 2: involved with what is currently taking place in the Middle East.
- 13:30Speaker 2: The ship movement is merely meant to free up people,
- 13:33Speaker 2: companies and countries that have done absolutely nothing wrong. They
- 13:37Speaker 2: are victims of the circumstance. The President said the operation,
- 13:43Speaker 2: which he dubbed Project Freedom, would begin on Monday morning
- 13:47Speaker 2: local time. The announcement came hours after a cargo ship
- 13:51Speaker 2: was struck by multiple small craft near the Strait, the
- 13:54Speaker 2: first such attack on a shipping vessel in the waterway
- 13:56Speaker 2: since April the twenty second. The ship, which was not
- 13:59Speaker 2: a immediately identified, was hit right off the coast of Iran,
- 14:04Speaker 2: just east of Astrait, according to the British Military United
- 14:07Speaker 2: Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations Center. They said all crew members
- 14:11Speaker 2: were reported to be safe. That's the good news. There
- 14:15Speaker 2: no country or groups taking responsibility for the attack at
- 14:19Speaker 2: this moment, but Iran's military has repeatedly warned that any
- 14:23Speaker 2: ship that tries to navigate the Strait would be attacked
- 14:26Speaker 2: unless they paid a toll and proved they are not
- 14:29Speaker 2: affiliated with the US or with Israel. Now beyond the
- 14:33Speaker 2: threat of strikes, Trump noted that the estimated twenty thousand
- 14:37Speaker 2: seafarers stuck in the Persian Gulf for running low on
- 14:40Speaker 2: food and everything else necessary for large scale crews to
- 14:44Speaker 2: stay on board in a healthy and sanitary manner, saying
- 14:48Speaker 2: the United Nations had previously highlighted the danger of being
- 14:51Speaker 2: posed being posed to the trapships and their crew. Amid
- 14:55Speaker 2: Iran's stranglehold on the Strait of Hormuz, Trump said that
- 14:59Speaker 2: if Iran were to all of the ships across without problem,
- 15:02Speaker 2: it would be a sign of goodwill amid ten amend
- 15:05Speaker 2: the tensions and the peace talks between the two countries.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Now.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Quote if in any way this humanitarian process is interfered with,
- 15:14Speaker 2: that interference will unfortunately have to be dealt with forcefully,
- 15:17Speaker 2: the President warned on Sunday as well, saying it remains
- 15:22Speaker 2: to be seen if any ship will take up America's
- 15:25Speaker 2: offer to be escort across the Straight from moves given
- 15:29Speaker 2: rans repeated threats against US and Israeli ships, t Iran
- 15:32Speaker 2: has kept a key oil choke point in retaliation for
- 15:36Speaker 2: the US Israel joint air strikes. They with at least
- 15:40Speaker 2: two dozen attacks reported around the Straight since the war began.
- 15:43Speaker 2: So the President saying, hey, we're gonna guide you through.
- 15:48Speaker 2: It's pretty I mean, it's pretty intense's I guess that's
- 15:53Speaker 2: the best way to describe it. And the President saying
- 15:55Speaker 2: this and saying, look, there will be hell to pay
- 15:57Speaker 2: if you attack. As we're trying to put these these through.
- 16:00Speaker 2: That's the part that I think is the most encouraging.
- 16:03Speaker 2: The President is still not backing down on this. I
- 16:08Speaker 2: it's like, you know, it's he's not going to back down.
- 16:12Speaker 2: They're not going to all right, and the President's doing
- 16:15Speaker 2: I think the right thing here. There's also a third
- 16:19Speaker 2: aspect of this story that I also want to talk about,
- 16:22Speaker 2: and that is coming from the Polish Prime Minister Tusk,
- 16:26Speaker 2: who has now warned that the Western NATO military alliance
- 16:31Speaker 2: is in jeopardy of disintegration in the wake of the
- 16:34Speaker 2: announced US troops with draw down in Germany. Again, this
- 16:39Speaker 2: goes back to the President saying what he said, like, Hey,
- 16:41Speaker 2: we're tired of always taking up to be the protectors
- 16:45Speaker 2: of the world. We're tired of you guys not paying
- 16:46Speaker 2: your fair share or not pulling your weight. And on Friday,
- 16:50Speaker 2: the Pentagon said that around five thousand US soldiers would
- 16:53Speaker 2: be relocated from bases in Germany over the next year.
- 16:56Speaker 1: I'm in a.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Broader shift in the four deployment, they said of US forces.
- 17:01Speaker 2: President Trump said on Saturday that the drawdown in Germany
- 17:04Speaker 2: would likely be much larger, though he did not specify
- 17:07Speaker 2: how many more of the approximately thirty six thousand US
- 17:10Speaker 2: troops will be relocated from the country, and President Trump
- 17:15Speaker 2: has also suggested moving American forces out of countries such
- 17:18Speaker 2: as Italy and Spain, all of whom he is accused
- 17:21Speaker 2: of disloyalty over their response to conflict against the Islamic
- 17:25Speaker 2: regime in Iran. This all goes back to what we're
- 17:28Speaker 2: witnessing right now.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Now.
- 17:30Speaker 2: While the US administration has not suggested a withdraw from Poland,
- 17:35Speaker 2: there are some eight five hundred troops that are currently
- 17:38Speaker 2: stationed there. The Prime Minister Tusts ever less, warned that
- 17:41Speaker 2: the NATO alliance was on the brink. And by the way,
- 17:44Speaker 2: this is exactly I think what the President wanted to happen,
- 17:46Speaker 2: to say. We're not screwing around all right, riding on acts.
- 17:50Speaker 2: The Polish leader said this. The greatest threat to the
- 17:52Speaker 2: Transatlantic community are not its external enemies, but the ongoing
- 17:58Speaker 2: disintegration of allies. We must all do what it takes
- 18:03Speaker 2: to reverse this disastrous trend. Well, then, good stand up,
- 18:07Speaker 2: stand with America. I mean, it can't always just be
- 18:11Speaker 2: one sided. Now, this comes after US openly questioned America's
- 18:15Speaker 2: loyalty to Europe last week, expressing doubt that Washington would
- 18:18Speaker 2: honor Article five of the NATO Treaty, which mandates member
- 18:22Speaker 2: states to come to the defense of each other if
- 18:24Speaker 2: under attack. Now, President Trump is consistently affirmed that the
- 18:30Speaker 2: US would stand by its allies if it was called upon.
- 18:32Speaker 2: But we're not just going to do all of this
- 18:34Speaker 2: work and no one else be involved. That is the
- 18:36Speaker 2: point that the President has made now. Speaking the globalist
- 18:41Speaker 2: oriented Financial Times, Tess said that Europe's biggest, most important
- 18:45Speaker 2: question is if the United States is ready to be
- 18:47Speaker 2: as loyal as it is described in our NATO treaties.
- 18:51Speaker 2: You know what, good, I'm glad these guys are nervous.
- 18:54Speaker 2: They should be because I'm sick and tired of America
- 18:58Speaker 2: doing everything for everyone else. I want to start off
- 19:04Speaker 2: by just being really honest about what we've just witnessed
- 19:09Speaker 2: with the Spirit Airlines shut down. It is a super
- 19:13Speaker 2: low cost airline. Elizabeth Warren and I'm going to take
- 19:16Speaker 2: you back in time. Put this out on Twitter on
- 19:20Speaker 2: March the fifth of twenty twenty four. It has now
- 19:23Speaker 2: gone viral yet again. Elizabeth Warren and her socialist wackos
- 19:28Speaker 2: decided to stop a merger that could have saved Spirit Airlines.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Her exact words were this, I warned for months that
- 19:37Speaker 2: a Jet Blue Spirit Airlines merger would have led to
- 19:40Speaker 2: fewer flights and higher fares. Well, we know that she's
- 19:45Speaker 2: either incredibly stupid or a pathological liar, because the thing
- 19:49Speaker 2: that she warned would happen because she stopped that merger
- 19:53Speaker 2: has actually happened. Today, fewer Americans have choices over flights,
- 20:00Speaker 2: and all Americans now have higher fares. She then went
- 20:04Speaker 2: on to say that the Justice and the Anti Trust
- 20:08Speaker 2: Division at Justice, as well as the United States Department
- 20:12Speaker 2: of Transportation back and again, this is back in twenty
- 20:16Speaker 2: twenty four. We're right to stand up, she says, for
- 20:20Speaker 2: consumers and fight against runaway airline consolidation. She then said,
- 20:26Speaker 2: this is a Biden win for flyers. You're gonna say
- 20:31Speaker 2: that again, Elizabeth Warren, this is a Biden win for flyers.
- 20:37Speaker 2: So let's look at where we are now. Spirit Airlines
- 20:41Speaker 2: died this weekend, and it died at the hands of
- 20:45Speaker 2: the socialist crusader Elizabeth Warren. She must be so proud
- 20:49Speaker 2: to add another casket to her achievements, is what one
- 20:53Speaker 2: person wrote online at three am. Spirit turned off the
- 20:57Speaker 2: lights directly, more than fourteen one thousand jobs gone, thirty
- 21:02Speaker 2: plus smaller airports lost service. Now that's all because of
- 21:05Speaker 2: the Biden DOJ, because of the Department Transportation, Mayor Pete,
- 21:10Speaker 2: and Elizabeth Warren Jet Blue. By the way, this matters
- 21:14Speaker 2: in life, like the facts and history. At the time,
- 21:18Speaker 2: JetBlue offered three point eight billion dollars in cash to
- 21:23Speaker 2: buy Spirit Airlines in twenty twenty two. What's even more
- 21:27Speaker 2: interesting about that offer was who all agreed. Shareholders agreed,
- 21:32Speaker 2: flight attendance unions agreed, literally everyone voted yes. Why because
- 21:37Speaker 2: they knew this was the only way to save the airline. Now,
- 21:41Speaker 2: the combined company of JetBlue and Spirit would have held
- 21:46Speaker 2: only nine percent of the US market against a big
- 21:50Speaker 2: four that already owned eighty percent. Now, for anyone that
- 21:54Speaker 2: understands numbers, nine percent isn't a monopoly against eighty percent.
- 22:00Speaker 2: But Elizabeth Warren and her communist friends at the DOJ
- 22:04Speaker 2: and the Biden administration said no. Now, this wasn't an
- 22:07Speaker 2: afterthought for Elizabeth Warren. I want to be clear. She
- 22:10Speaker 2: was obsessed with this merger. She wrote letters, She pressured
- 22:14Speaker 2: Mayor Pete, who was a transportation Secretary Biden's DOJ got
- 22:19Speaker 2: involved and then sued. A federal judge finally killed the
- 22:23Speaker 2: deal in January of twenty twenty four, and that is
- 22:26Speaker 2: when Spirit died, even though it took a little more time. Now,
- 22:31Speaker 2: Elizabeth Warren in the communist argument, was very clear they
- 22:35Speaker 2: lied and said the merger would cost consumers one billion
- 22:38Speaker 2: a year. Well, let's just look at the collateral damage
- 22:41Speaker 2: that she dusts under the rug like it never happened,
- 22:44Speaker 2: and so many other Democrats. You have more than five
- 22:47Speaker 2: hundred pilots gone in the months after January twenty twenty four.
- 22:52Speaker 2: You had eighteen hundred flight attendants that were furloughed. In December,
- 22:56Speaker 2: you had then another fourteen thousand jobs that were lost
- 23:00Speaker 2: in twenty twenty three, and then last week another seven thousand,
- 23:04Speaker 2: five hundred. How many people do they employ now, zero
- 23:09Speaker 2: And that's just the people that were actually wearing Spirit
- 23:12Speaker 2: Airlines uniforms. There's other jobs that are gone as well.
- 23:16Speaker 2: And you need to understand this. And by the way,
- 23:18Speaker 2: all this that I'm saying to you right now, I
- 23:20Speaker 2: have put out this retweet on x You can see
- 23:23Speaker 2: it and you can use this. It's important, all right,
- 23:26Speaker 2: You had catering. That is not direct job of Spirit.
- 23:29Speaker 2: It's an indirect job. Because of the industry. Those catering
- 23:33Speaker 2: jobs gone. The fuel guys they're gone, the baggage crews
- 23:37Speaker 2: not Spirit employees gone. The gate agent's gone, the airport
- 23:43Speaker 2: coffee shops that service those where they were going, you
- 23:46Speaker 2: know where Spirit airlines flowing it out of they're now
- 23:48Speaker 2: hurting are gone. Then you had all the hotels and
- 23:52Speaker 2: all the rental cars and the seventy cities that Spirit
- 23:54Speaker 2: flew to. Every airline job. And this is using the
- 23:58Speaker 2: Biden by the way, their own numbers, the government numbers.
- 24:01Speaker 2: Right now, every airline job carries three more on its back,
- 24:05Speaker 2: meaning that if you got ten thousand, there's another thirty
- 24:09Speaker 2: thousand jobs.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Because of the ten thousand.
- 24:11Speaker 2: Direct airline jobs, you now have forty thousand people out
- 24:15Speaker 2: of work because of the socialist communists and Marxist morons
- 24:21Speaker 2: and their crusade against the markets doing what they need
- 24:25Speaker 2: to do in the private sector. Spirit, by the way,
- 24:29Speaker 2: you have another fallout from all this. Spirit has now
- 24:32Speaker 2: abandoned ninety routes during the death spiral. Fars on those
- 24:36Speaker 2: routes are costing you. The American people and remember, if
- 24:40Speaker 2: I remember correctly, Democrats say over and over again what
- 24:42Speaker 2: they stand up for poor people, little people, right, they
- 24:45Speaker 2: stand up for the people that live in paytrik Perry check.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Who do you think Spirit Airlines was serving? They were
- 24:50Speaker 2: an ultralow carrier, cost carrier, That's who they were. Some
- 24:54Speaker 2: people called them the Greyhound of the skies. By the way,
- 24:58Speaker 2: I did everything I could to avoid Spirit Airlines. We've
- 25:00Speaker 2: all seen the videos they've gone viral of the fighting
- 25:02Speaker 2: on airplanes and the fighting at the ticket counters and
- 25:04Speaker 2: the fighting at the bag check in. Like we've all
- 25:07Speaker 2: seen it, right, I will. I've flown Spirit in my
- 25:10Speaker 2: whole life, I think twice. And it was because it
- 25:13Speaker 2: was the only flight that worked that day after there
- 25:15Speaker 2: was another flight that was canceled scenario. But for many Americans,
- 25:19Speaker 2: this was the difference between going on a trip and
- 25:21Speaker 2: not going on a trip, going on a vacation, not
- 25:23Speaker 2: going on a vacation, going on a trip that they
- 25:26Speaker 2: had to go for because of a family member that
- 25:28Speaker 2: was sick or a funeral, and not going Spirit. Not
- 25:32Speaker 2: only abandons now ninety routes during the death spiral, but
- 25:35Speaker 2: fares on those routes. Remember This is what Elizabe Warren said.
- 25:38Speaker 2: We can't have this murder because the afairs are going
- 25:40Speaker 2: to go up. Well, guess what's happened now. The fares
- 25:42Speaker 2: are on up average of fourteen percent. Let me give
- 25:45Speaker 2: you some real numbers. Oakland and New York has skyrocketed
- 25:48Speaker 2: from one hundred and thirty five dollars of two eighty eight.
- 25:51Speaker 2: Fort Myers of San Juan has skyrocketed from ninety two
- 25:54Speaker 2: dollars to two nineteen, and now it's probably going to
- 25:56Speaker 2: go even higher. Kansas City, for example, in Newark, is
- 25:59Speaker 2: up sixty six percent. All right, that's not by the way,
- 26:05Speaker 2: I want to be clear. This is reality. This isn't
- 26:07Speaker 2: some bs made up number from some random study. This
- 26:10Speaker 2: is really the life consequences of when the government got
- 26:14Speaker 2: involved in something they should have never been involved in,
- 26:16Speaker 2: stopping this merger center. Warren is an individual who will
- 26:21Speaker 2: look you in the eyes and tell you she's doing
- 26:22Speaker 2: you a favor while destroying a company and seventeen eighteen, nineteen,
- 26:28Speaker 2: twenty thirty forty fifty thousand jobs, and then is held accountable,
- 26:32Speaker 2: apparently by no one.
- 26:33Speaker 1: For doing this. Here's something else, it's interesting.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Cheap carriers in a market drop fares on average twenty
- 26:40Speaker 2: one percent across the board. Southwest, by the way, when
- 26:43Speaker 2: they used to be in a low cost carrier, they're
- 26:45Speaker 2: no longer right, they're one of the big four now
- 26:47Speaker 2: in my opinion, All right, Southwest did this in the nineteen nineties.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Do you know how much money?
- 26:52Speaker 2: They say that Southwest Airlines being in their markets were
- 26:55Speaker 2: the other airlines, the uniteds, the Continentals, the Americans, the
- 26:59Speaker 2: Delta's into Do you know how much money they say that?
- 27:02Speaker 2: The American people say because Southwest Airlines went into these cities.
- 27:07Speaker 2: They because they pushed fars down not up. There was
- 27:10Speaker 2: more options, more choice, and the other airlines had to
- 27:13Speaker 2: match to stay competitive. Southwest Airlines, they say, in the
- 27:17Speaker 2: nineteen nineties saved American sixty eight billion dollars over twenty years.
- 27:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna say that again.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Studies say that Southwest Airlines when they were a cheap carrier,
- 27:26Speaker 2: saved American sixty eight billion over twenty years. And so
- 27:30Speaker 2: what in Elizabeth Warren do she killed the next Southwest Airlines?
- 27:33Speaker 1: She killed it? And what was a.
- 27:35Speaker 2: Moronic political play led by socialism the socialist ideals is
- 27:41Speaker 2: what costs spirit? Airlines the ability to be able to
- 27:45Speaker 2: merge with Jet Blue, and then with her own blind arrogance,
- 27:51Speaker 2: she actually tweeted that the Spirit collapse is a Biden
- 27:56Speaker 2: win for flyers, a win. Yes, fourteen thousand jobs terminated, Yeah,
- 28:01Speaker 2: she says that's a good thing. She also wants you
- 28:03Speaker 2: to believe that Spirit loss because of the Warren Iran.
- 28:07Speaker 1: That's her new talking point.
- 28:09Speaker 2: She wants you to believe that Spirit Airlines was somehow
- 28:12Speaker 2: totally fine and not in bankruptcy before the Warren Iran,
- 28:16Speaker 2: and that this is all Donald Trump's fault.
- 28:18Speaker 1: And if you believe that, you're.
- 28:20Speaker 2: A special kind of stupid. This is a senator, by
- 28:23Speaker 2: the way, And this is the problem with Washington. They
- 28:25Speaker 2: don't understand the private sector. They don't understand what it
- 28:29Speaker 2: means to run a business. Elizabeth Warren's never made payroll
- 28:33Speaker 2: in her life, right, she thinks she knows how to
- 28:36Speaker 2: run a market in a business better than the people
- 28:38Speaker 2: who actually own and work in the company because she's
- 28:41Speaker 2: never actually held a real job or employed a significant
- 28:45Speaker 2: number of people in the private sector. So she's gonna
- 28:50Speaker 2: sit there and she's gonna say, hey, I saved you
- 28:51Speaker 2: a billion dollars on imaginary paper, when in fact she
- 28:55Speaker 2: costs ten times that in real life. She didn't protect
- 28:58Speaker 2: consumers from anything. You've got forty thousand jobs, and by
- 29:03Speaker 2: the way, where are they gonna go. They're gonna go
- 29:04Speaker 2: ask for government help, many of them. Some of them
- 29:06Speaker 2: are gonna end up on welfare. And then she says, well,
- 29:09Speaker 2: you know you should blame, oh, the evil billionaires in America,
- 29:13Speaker 2: the millionaires and the billionaires.
- 29:15Speaker 1: That's who you need to blame.
- 29:18Speaker 2: And by the way, she now has power over people
- 29:20Speaker 2: that are desperate for government aid.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Maybe that was her plan all along.
- 29:26Speaker 2: It makes you think, don't forget share this podcast wherever
- 29:29Speaker 2: you can with your family and your friends, and I'll
- 29:31Speaker 2: see you back here tomorrow.
