Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome.
- 0:01Speaker 2: It is the Ben Ferguson Podcasts, and I am under
- 0:04Speaker 2: the weather, sick as a dog. And Senator Cruz and
- 0:08Speaker 2: I did our podcast together as a joint podcast as
- 0:12Speaker 2: we've still got a country to save and we still
- 0:15Speaker 2: got to fight. But I am really under the weather.
- 0:17Speaker 2: So I want to let you know that on the
- 0:19Speaker 2: front end as we decide to do a joint pod
- 0:22Speaker 2: for you this morning. Take a listen, as we're going
- 0:25Speaker 2: to be talking about several different issues, including deportations and
- 0:30Speaker 2: Zelensky coming to America in a campaign for Kamway. Harris,
- 0:33Speaker 2: how is that not a major violation of campaign finance laws?
- 0:37Speaker 2: Plus President community now becoming a big issue in Washington
- 0:42Speaker 2: with hearings on Capitol Hill. No, why Senator you're beating
- 0:46Speaker 2: me today. You're somewhat under the weather. But I think
- 0:48Speaker 2: you've got more energy than I do. Well, I think
- 0:51Speaker 2: that's probably right. But but but hopefully neither of us
- 0:53Speaker 2: cough cough up along and we can wait. We can
- 0:56Speaker 2: talk about the great things that that that that are
- 0:59Speaker 2: happening in this country that are really threatening our nation,
- 1:02Speaker 2: and that gives you reason to fight even when you
- 1:06Speaker 2: may not feel great. Amen to that We've got a
- 1:09Speaker 2: very interesting subject that has popped up, and that deals
- 1:11Speaker 2: with Kamala Harris.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Well, that's right, Kamala's radical past keeps coming back to
- 1:16Speaker 3: haunt her. She's trying to run a presidential campaign pretending
- 1:20Speaker 3: not to be a radical leftist, and the problem is
- 1:23Speaker 3: truth keeps getting in the way. We now have video
- 1:27Speaker 3: and audio of her at a rally chanting down with
- 1:32Speaker 3: deportation and amazingly doing it right next to discredited hustler
- 1:40Speaker 3: Jesse Smolette, and they're chatting with the whole mob. Up
- 1:43Speaker 3: with education, down with deportation. It's really quite remarkable. We're
- 1:46Speaker 3: going to talk about that. We're also going to talk
- 1:49Speaker 3: about a story unlike any I've ever seen before, which
- 1:52Speaker 3: is Ukraine's president Zelenski, came to Pennsylvania and is essentially
- 1:57Speaker 3: campaigning for Kamala Harris and he's attacking Donald Trump and JD.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Vance.
- 2:01Speaker 3: It is shocking. I do not recall ever seeing a
- 2:04Speaker 3: foreign leader do this. It's infuriating. We're going to talk
- 2:07Speaker 3: about that too. And finally, we're going to talk about
- 2:09Speaker 3: a hearing yesterday in the Senate Judiciary Committee where the
- 2:12Speaker 3: Senate Democrats once again are attacking the US Supreme Court,
- 2:15Speaker 3: and this hearing was all about the Supreme Court's decision
- 2:18Speaker 3: on presidential immunity, and they're trying to wrongly convince the
- 2:21Speaker 3: voters that it's some sort of outrageous decision that allows
- 2:26Speaker 3: Trump to do whatever he wants.
- 2:28Speaker 1: That is a lie.
- 2:29Speaker 3: We're going to talk about that hearing and what the
- 2:31Speaker 3: actual truth is.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Let me take you a quick moment to tell you
- 2:34Speaker 2: about an incredible company that stands up and fights for
- 2:38Speaker 2: our First and our Second Amendment rights. They fight for
- 2:41Speaker 2: the rights of unborn children, and they fight every time
- 2:45Speaker 2: you pay your bill to them, for our veterans, our
- 2:49Speaker 2: first responders, and our wounded warriors. I'm talking about Patriot Mobile.
- 2:54Speaker 2: They're the only conservative Christian wireless provider in the country,
- 3:00Speaker 2: and when you pay your bill to them every month,
- 3:03Speaker 2: they actually take about five percent of your bill and
- 3:05Speaker 2: give it back to the causes that I just mentioned
- 3:08Speaker 2: at no extra.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Cost to you.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Now, the reason why that's incredible is because if you're
- 3:13Speaker 2: with Big Mobile, you're actually supporting and funding the left
- 3:17Speaker 2: in a very big way. Big Mobile gives big donations
- 3:22Speaker 2: to organizations that pay and advocate for abortion on demand.
- 3:27Speaker 2: They give big donations to Democratic candidates and causes at
- 3:31Speaker 2: the local, state, and national level. Another reason why you
- 3:37Speaker 2: should make the switch to a company that stands with
- 3:40Speaker 2: your values. Now, making the switch space your mobile is easy.
- 3:43Speaker 2: You can keep your same cell phone you have right now,
- 3:46Speaker 2: keep your same cell phone number, or you can upgrade
- 3:49Speaker 2: to a new phone. And you don't have to worry
- 3:52Speaker 2: about coverage because in twenty twenty four, it is actually
- 3:55Speaker 2: really easy to make the switch, and you're gonna have
- 3:58Speaker 2: the same exact coverage that you are used to because
- 4:01Speaker 2: they use the same exact towers that you're using right now.
- 4:05Speaker 2: So call right now nine seven to two Patriot that's
- 4:11Speaker 2: nine seven to two Patriot or Patriotmobile dot com slash ferguson.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Now when you use the promo code ferguson, you're gonna
- 4:19Speaker 2: get a free month of service. So don't wait any longer.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Stop giving your money to companies that literally hate your
- 4:27Speaker 2: family values and hate your Christian values. Make the switch,
- 4:31Speaker 2: get nationwide coverage, and make a difference with every phone
- 4:35Speaker 2: call you make. Nine seven to two Patriot that's nine
- 4:39Speaker 2: seven to two Patriot or Patriotmobile dot com slash ferguson.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Promo code Ferguson, you'll get one month of service for free.
- 4:48Speaker 1: So Center if you go back.
- 4:50Speaker 2: And it's amazing how many of these videos start to
- 4:53Speaker 2: surface here. Uh, and the media clearly isn't doing their job.
- 4:57Speaker 2: You've got this video and it's Kamala Harris. She's straight
- 5:01Speaker 2: up out there, she's very proud of it, shouting she's down,
- 5:06Speaker 2: she's not down with deportations at this rally. And when
- 5:11Speaker 2: you see this resurface video of her protesting against deporting
- 5:15Speaker 2: migrants with a disgraced celebrity, you go, man, I wonder
- 5:19Speaker 2: how long the media had this and they decide to
- 5:21Speaker 2: sit on it.
- 5:22Speaker 3: Well clearly that they don't want people to see it,
- 5:25Speaker 3: and and and give a listen. You need to listen
- 5:27Speaker 3: to what Kamala Harris, the sitting vice president and someone
- 5:30Speaker 3: who right who wants to be president of the United States,
- 5:33Speaker 3: what she was happily chanting with the mob on the street.
- 5:59Speaker 2: I mean there it is up up with education, down,
- 6:03Speaker 2: down with deportation, saying we're not importing anybody.
- 6:06Speaker 1: This is what she believes. Believe her when she says it.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Yeah, and when you watch the video, they're all dancing joyously.
- 6:15Speaker 3: I mean it is these are a bunch of radicals.
- 6:17Speaker 3: They support open borders. Kamal Harris is a radical. She
- 6:21Speaker 3: supports open borders. She always has. She's always voted for
- 6:24Speaker 3: open borders. She's always advocated for open borders. And right
- 6:28Speaker 3: now her strategy is to try to lie to the
- 6:31Speaker 3: American people. She is literally right now spending millions of
- 6:34Speaker 3: dollars running ads TV ads with video of Trump's border wall,
- 6:40Speaker 3: something she's opposed from day one, But for the next
- 6:43Speaker 3: six weeks on the campaign trail, she is going to
- 6:46Speaker 3: pretend that she's all for securing the border and all
- 6:50Speaker 3: four deportation, unless God forbid, she wins, and then you're
- 6:54Speaker 3: gonna discover the open borders we've had in the last
- 6:56Speaker 3: four years, they're just getting started and they're only getting work.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Well, and you talk about that just a straight up lying.
- 7:03Speaker 1: You know.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Her new ad shows Trump's wall, which she said was
- 7:07Speaker 2: inhumane and that she would tear down and never allow
- 7:10Speaker 2: and it should never be allowed to be built. Now
- 7:12Speaker 2: apparently she's in favor of it, but she's obviously not.
- 7:15Speaker 2: She's just trying to buy votes because she understands it's
- 7:18Speaker 2: a liability. What's going on at the Southern border right now,
- 7:21Speaker 2: and how every city in America has become a border city,
- 7:24Speaker 2: and every liberal city that was a sanctuary city has
- 7:26Speaker 2: now turned into a total disaster. And then you see
- 7:29Speaker 2: this video come back out or this video come back
- 7:32Speaker 2: up that they were a guest trying to hide because
- 7:34Speaker 2: it's not popular right now, and you know what she
- 7:37Speaker 2: believes center Like, it's very clear she wants to flood
- 7:42Speaker 2: the border with illegal immigrants if she is elected president.
- 7:46Speaker 2: And this also comes as a new report has come
- 7:48Speaker 2: out talking about how Mexico has launched a massive operation
- 7:54Speaker 2: through which migrants are intercepting, apprehended in northern States, brought
- 7:59Speaker 2: to the corner of the country furthest from the US border,
- 8:03Speaker 2: then process and released. As the Washington Post summarize it, quote,
- 8:07Speaker 2: aided by the military, agents, added checkpoints on the highways,
- 8:11Speaker 2: and ramped up searches of trains and buses. In the
- 8:14Speaker 2: first half of twenty twenty four, Mexico logs seven hundred
- 8:18Speaker 2: and twelve thousand apprehensions, nearly triple the number in the
- 8:21Speaker 2: same period last year. And what we're being told now
- 8:24Speaker 2: is this all came out of the deal with Biden
- 8:26Speaker 2: Harris when they had that meeting with the leadership in Mexico, like, hey,
- 8:29Speaker 2: right before election day, we need the number of border
- 8:32Speaker 2: crossings to drop. Can you guys help us out? And
- 8:34Speaker 2: now we know the plan is actually working very well
- 8:38Speaker 2: in Mexico.
- 8:40Speaker 3: Well, and listen, there is a reason that the left
- 8:43Speaker 3: is not upset with Kamala because they know this is
- 8:46Speaker 3: who she is. They know this is what she believes.
- 8:50Speaker 3: She's been the borders are for four years. If she's president,
- 8:53Speaker 3: the open borders get worse. The eleven and a half
- 8:56Speaker 3: million illegal aliens becomes twenty million becomes thirty million. That
- 9:00Speaker 3: is their plan to fundamentally change the American electorate. They
- 9:04Speaker 3: view all of them as future Democrat voters, some voting
- 9:08Speaker 3: illegally immediately and some voting when Democrats seize control and
- 9:13Speaker 3: give them amnesty. That is their plan. And nobody, you know,
- 9:17Speaker 3: the radicals who were dancing in the street with Kamala
- 9:21Speaker 3: chanting down with deportation, they're not upset with Kamala's ads
- 9:25Speaker 3: with the border wall. Why is that because they know
- 9:28Speaker 3: she's lying. They're perfectly happy for her to lie to
- 9:30Speaker 3: the voters, and they think the voters are gullible enough
- 9:33Speaker 3: that they'll be like, oh, oh, she agrees with me
- 9:36Speaker 3: on border security. I got to say, I don't think
- 9:38Speaker 3: the American people are nearly as gullible as Democrats think
- 9:41Speaker 3: they are.
- 9:42Speaker 2: You look at the headline and it says Mexico goes
- 9:45Speaker 2: into overdrive to help Biden Harris administration slow illegal immigration
- 9:51Speaker 2: before election day. So it's all a POI. This is
- 9:55Speaker 2: all being done quickly on purpose. They're saying today the
- 9:58Speaker 2: illegal border crossings are now. However, thirty five one hundred
- 10:02Speaker 2: for the day that's down, and they're going to campaign
- 10:05Speaker 2: on this. Do you really believe that this is going
- 10:08Speaker 2: to work with the American people.
- 10:10Speaker 1: I don't.
- 10:11Speaker 3: But I got to say, the president of Mexico is
- 10:14Speaker 3: not the only foreign leader who is trying to influence
- 10:17Speaker 3: this election and wants Kamala Harris selected president. President Zelenski
- 10:22Speaker 3: is in the United States and he's effectively campaigning for
- 10:27Speaker 3: Kamala That this is a story, as I said at
- 10:30Speaker 3: the outset, that just shocks me. I've never seen this
- 10:34Speaker 3: happen where a foreign leader comes. He went to Pennsylvania,
- 10:39Speaker 3: the biggest swing state in the country. He went to
- 10:41Speaker 3: an ammunition factory. He arrived on an Air Force jet
- 10:46Speaker 3: presumably paid for by the taxpayers. And he does this
- 10:50Speaker 3: whole interview in The New Yorker where he slams Donald Trump,
- 10:56Speaker 3: and he slams JD. Van Zelenski says in the interview
- 10:59Speaker 3: that Trump quote doesn't really know how to stop the war,
- 11:03Speaker 3: even if he might think he knows how. And then
- 11:07Speaker 3: on Vance, he attacks Vance directly and says Vance's quote
- 11:12Speaker 3: too radical. Now, I got to say, who the hell
- 11:19Speaker 3: is Zelenski to be trying to interfere in our election?
- 11:22Speaker 3: The arrogance of this guy, And you know what, in
- 11:25Speaker 3: the Congress, this guy has gotten Republican support for military aid.
- 11:31Speaker 3: You want to find a way for that to disappear.
- 11:34Speaker 3: This is an awfully good way to do it. And
- 11:36Speaker 3: the guy, I've got to say, is an absolute moron
- 11:41Speaker 3: for coming to the US six weeks before the election
- 11:44Speaker 3: and attacking Trump and Vance. I don't care if Zelensky
- 11:49Speaker 3: likes or dislikes what they have to say. He is
- 11:56Speaker 3: if he had the sense guy gave a cricket, he
- 12:03Speaker 3: would have said on that question, you know what, I'm
- 12:05Speaker 3: not going to comment about US elections. That's for the
- 12:07Speaker 3: people of America to decide. That would have been smart
- 12:11Speaker 3: but you know what, Kamala Harris is perfectly happy to
- 12:15Speaker 3: use this guy as essentially a campaign prop. And and
- 12:19Speaker 3: and as I said, it is absolutely infuriating. Yeah, you
- 12:23Speaker 3: look at what he was here for, and it was
- 12:25Speaker 3: to get a check. And that's the part I think
- 12:26Speaker 3: people need to understand. And and it wasn't just to
- 12:29Speaker 3: get a check.
- 12:30Speaker 2: It was also tou They described it as a victory
- 12:35Speaker 2: plan quote unquote that he was going to lay out
- 12:37Speaker 2: to President Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. They also said
- 12:40Speaker 2: he was going to show it to Trump, which made
- 12:42Speaker 2: me laugh. This is a two and a half years
- 12:45Speaker 2: of war with Russia and now they've come up with
- 12:48Speaker 2: a victory plan. It look he knows if he wants
- 12:51Speaker 2: unlimited cash, then then then Biden and Harris are the team.
- 12:55Speaker 2: And that means Harris now is a team because they
- 12:57Speaker 2: will write him a check whenever he needs.
- 12:59Speaker 1: It, and they.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Will continue this for apparently another two and a half
- 13:04Speaker 2: years or another five years, whatever it is. But when
- 13:07Speaker 2: he comes here on our dollar, how is this not
- 13:10Speaker 2: an enkind donation? I mean it used to be that
- 13:13Speaker 2: when I was on campaigns, they would spend hours with
- 13:17Speaker 2: us Senator going over campaign finance rules and laws, so
- 13:20Speaker 2: that none of us ever made a mistake and it
- 13:23Speaker 2: was not a joke like they took real time of
- 13:25Speaker 2: like the dues and don'ts and certain things that you
- 13:28Speaker 2: can and cannot do. This dude's flying over here. Taxpayers
- 13:32Speaker 2: are paying for it. He's on a big I mean
- 13:34Speaker 2: a big jet. He lands in a swing state, he
- 13:38Speaker 2: gets off the plane, he does the interview. This is
- 13:42Speaker 2: obviously a campaign contribution to the Harrison campaign, and no
- 13:48Speaker 2: one back to Andy that the taxpayers are paying for
- 13:50Speaker 2: this propaganda.
- 13:52Speaker 3: So Ben, you're saying they didn't pick Pennsylvania at random.
- 13:54Speaker 3: It wasn't just let's throw a dart at the map
- 13:58Speaker 3: and see where it hits. The fact that it's the
- 14:01Speaker 3: most critical swing state in the entire country was was
- 14:03Speaker 3: was a factor in why why Kamala Harris wanted him
- 14:06Speaker 3: in Pennsylvania.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure, I mean pretty obvious.
- 14:13Speaker 3: And listen to combine that ostensibly what he said he
- 14:18Speaker 3: was there as he was thanking the ammunition plant, because
- 14:21Speaker 3: they were making the ammunition that's being sent to Ukraine.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Doing that I think is unacceptable, but combining it with
- 14:32Speaker 3: explicitly attacking both Donald Trump and jd Vance is incredibly
- 14:37Speaker 3: foolish and and let's be clear. Look, look, if you
- 14:42Speaker 3: look at the polling, I don't know what the odds
- 14:45Speaker 3: are that that that that Trump wins. I certainly hope
- 14:47Speaker 3: and pray he wins, but the odds are significant, whatever
- 14:51Speaker 3: they are.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Neither of us know what the odds are.
- 14:53Speaker 3: Sitting here today, Zelensky that this is just dumb on
- 14:58Speaker 3: his part because if Trump wins, he's got a huge
- 15:04Speaker 3: problem that just got bigger. And if Trump loses, you know,
- 15:09Speaker 3: good luck trying to get Republicans to listen to what
- 15:12Speaker 3: he has to say if he just behaves like a
- 15:16Speaker 3: Democrat campaign activist.
- 15:19Speaker 2: One other question I want to ask you is about Zelensky.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Real quick was going to this you know AMMO plant
- 15:28Speaker 2: that they went to. It made me laugh that he's
- 15:31Speaker 2: like acting like, you know, there's some do gooders that
- 15:34Speaker 2: are giving him this AMO. To be clear, the American
- 15:37Speaker 2: tax dollars are paying for them. He would never need
- 15:40Speaker 2: to go there if this wasn't for a political stunt,
- 15:42Speaker 2: because they're going to cast a check. And that's how
- 15:45Speaker 2: they've set this up where hey, they make them America
- 15:48Speaker 2: get pays for that AMO. The AMO then goes to
- 15:50Speaker 2: Ukraine and it just was such a made for TV
- 15:55Speaker 2: propaganda moment, and I want people to understand that that's
- 15:58Speaker 2: what this was, to support and advocate for the campaign.
- 16:02Speaker 3: Yeah, no, that's exactly right. And I'll tell you an
- 16:05Speaker 3: additional point that was made by Donald Trump Junior on
- 16:08Speaker 3: Twitter I think is really quite significant. So so Trump
- 16:11Speaker 3: Junior tweeted, So, a foreign leader who has received billions
- 16:15Speaker 3: of dollars in funding from American taxpayers comes to our
- 16:19Speaker 3: country and has the nerve to attack the GOP ticket
- 16:22Speaker 3: for president. And he does this right after a pro
- 16:27Speaker 3: Ukraine zelot tried to assassinate my father. Disgraceful and and
- 16:34Speaker 3: and that's a point. Look, this, this this lunatic who
- 16:38Speaker 3: camped out on the golf course and was there to
- 16:40Speaker 3: assassinate President Trump. The facts that have come out on
- 16:44Speaker 3: him as he was truly a pro Ukraine zealot, so
- 16:47Speaker 3: much so that he flew over there and was trying
- 16:50Speaker 3: to enlist to fight with the Ukrainians and he was
- 16:53Speaker 3: such a kook. The Ukrainians said, we don't want you.
- 16:56Speaker 3: But but that that really does add insult to injury.
- 17:01Speaker 2: It does, and it also I think tells you just
- 17:04Speaker 2: how tone death they are, or maybe they just don't
- 17:06Speaker 2: care at all.
- 17:07Speaker 1: I'm not sure that they care at all.
- 17:11Speaker 3: Look, I think I don't know, but I think it
- 17:14Speaker 3: was remarkably foolish. And you know, look, I normally try
- 17:19Speaker 3: to give some grace and leniency to a leader in wartime.
- 17:24Speaker 3: I mean, he's fighting for his country. I understand what
- 17:26Speaker 3: he's doing. This was foolish. I still want Russia to lose,
- 17:30Speaker 3: but I think what Zelensky did today was one of
- 17:35Speaker 3: the greatest unforced errors I've seen a foreign leader do.
- 17:40Speaker 3: I've never seen this happen in my entire life, and
- 17:44Speaker 3: I think it really was a bad, bad mistake by Zelensky.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree, and it could.
- 17:51Speaker 2: And again, if you're going all in, because you know,
- 17:53Speaker 2: you get unlimited funds, and you came over here for
- 17:55Speaker 2: a check, and every time you show up, America writes
- 17:58Speaker 2: you that check. He's probably just looking at the politics, going, hey,
- 18:01Speaker 2: this is my meal ticket, Harris is the meal ticket.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Let's go help her win reelection or get elected, I
- 18:07Speaker 2: should say, And then I get the funds flowing for
- 18:10Speaker 2: another four years. And they obviously made that calculated decision.
- 18:14Speaker 2: I agree with you. I think it was really really foolish.
- 18:17Speaker 2: I want to move on also to something else that
- 18:19Speaker 2: you mentioned earlier, and it's happened today. Set the stage
- 18:24Speaker 2: for everybody in Congress and explain exactly what was going on,
- 18:29Speaker 2: and it dealt with presidential immunity.
- 18:32Speaker 3: Well, Senate Democrats for two years have been engaged in
- 18:36Speaker 3: a relentless assault on the Supreme Court and trying to
- 18:40Speaker 3: undermine the Supreme Court. And so today the Senate Judiciary
- 18:43Speaker 3: Committee held a hearing on the Supreme Court's decision on
- 18:46Speaker 3: presidential immunity, and the whole purpose of the hearing was
- 18:49Speaker 3: to say that the Supreme Court decision is ridiculous, that
- 18:53Speaker 3: it's out of bounds, that it basically said Trump is
- 18:55Speaker 3: a king, that he's unaccountable, that it's some you know,
- 18:59Speaker 3: bizz our decision, and they're trying both to attack Trump
- 19:04Speaker 3: and to delegitimize the Supreme Court, and and and so
- 19:09Speaker 3: among the witnesses testifying was was Michael Mucazy, who was
- 19:13Speaker 3: the former Attorney General of the United States under George W. Bush,
- 19:17Speaker 3: and he was a federal judge for nearly twenty years
- 19:19Speaker 3: before that, and he was one of the witnesses, and
- 19:22Speaker 3: and so I took the opportunity to actually question the
- 19:26Speaker 3: former Attorney general and to lay out the the utterly
- 19:29Speaker 3: false narrative the Democrats were putting forward. Give a listen
- 19:35Speaker 3: to my questioning of of Attorney General mucasey. Thank you,
- 19:38Speaker 3: mister Chairman. The nub of the Democrats argument today is
- 19:43Speaker 3: that the concept of presidential immunity is somehow unprecedented, is
- 19:47Speaker 3: somehow remarkable. That claim is utterly ahistorical and disconnected from
- 19:54Speaker 3: the entire constitutional history of the Republic. General Mucasey twenty
- 20:00Speaker 3: twenty three.
- 20:02Speaker 1: How many times has the President of.
- 20:03Speaker 3: The United States been indicted Dohn before twenty twenty three?
- 20:07Speaker 3: How many times has a former president of the United
- 20:09Speaker 3: States been indicted? None? In the last two years. How
- 20:13Speaker 3: many times has President Donald J. Trump been indicted?
- 20:18Speaker 1: Four times? I believe.
- 20:21Speaker 3: Now many presidents of both parties have engaged in controversial actions,
- 20:28Speaker 3: and yet none of them have been indicted.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Let me ask you, General mckaysey.
- 20:32Speaker 3: If a private citizen were to erect an internment camp
- 20:38Speaker 3: and to forcibly kidnap American citizens, to single them out
- 20:42Speaker 3: because of race, and to imprison them based on their race,
- 20:46Speaker 3: would that private citizen be subject to criminal prosecution. Would
- 20:51Speaker 3: when President Franklin delan Or Roosevelt did the exact same
- 20:54Speaker 3: thing and erected Japanese internment camps, was FDR prosecuted. Let
- 21:01Speaker 3: me ask you similarly, if a private citizen were, say
- 21:05Speaker 3: to detonate a nuclear weapon over a city and kill
- 21:10Speaker 3: over one hundred and forty thousand people, and then if
- 21:12Speaker 3: that private citizen a few days later detonated another nuclear
- 21:16Speaker 3: bomb over another city and killed seventy five thousand people,
- 21:21Speaker 3: could that private citizen be criminally prosecuted? He would? Was
- 21:25Speaker 3: President Harry Truman prosecuted for detonating nuclear weapons over Hiroshima
- 21:31Speaker 3: and Nagasaki?
- 21:32Speaker 1: He was going, all right, how about this?
- 21:35Speaker 3: If a private citizen launched a weaponized drove and killed
- 21:39Speaker 3: the United States citizen, could that private citizen be criminally prosecuted?
- 21:46Speaker 1: He would?
- 21:47Speaker 3: Was President Barack Obama criminally prosecuted when he killed United
- 21:53Speaker 3: States citizens using drones without notice and without due process?
- 21:57Speaker 3: He was not?
- 22:00Speaker 1: Although as far as due process is concerned, I believe
- 22:02Speaker 1: the comment of my successor to that question was that
- 22:06Speaker 1: anala'lacky got quote all the process.
- 22:09Speaker 3: That was necessary. Well, although I suspect he might disagree
- 22:13Speaker 3: with that assessment, were he able to present his case?
- 22:16Speaker 1: Right?
- 22:19Speaker 3: All right, Let's contrast that with the rules that govern
- 22:28Speaker 3: other federal officials. You were a judge for nineteen years
- 22:32Speaker 3: as a federal judge, did you have immunity from your
- 22:36Speaker 3: official acts for my official act? Yes? Do federal prosecutors
- 22:44Speaker 3: have an immunity from their official acts? They do? Now,
- 22:48Speaker 3: the distinction between official acts and personal acts is not
- 22:52Speaker 3: a terribly shocking distinction. Under the decision of Trump versus
- 22:56Speaker 3: United States, if any president walks onto the son of
- 23:00Speaker 3: the sidewalk and just shoots a citizen, is that president
- 23:04Speaker 3: libel to be prosecuted?
- 23:06Speaker 1: He is? How about this?
- 23:08Speaker 3: If a president steals funds from his campaign, does that
- 23:13Speaker 3: president face criminal liability?
- 23:15Speaker 1: He does? How about this?
- 23:17Speaker 3: If a president sexually assaults let's say an intern in
- 23:23Speaker 3: the Oval office, is the president subject criminal prosecution for that?
- 23:28Speaker 3: He could be? So that distinction, again, is not a
- 23:37Speaker 3: shocking distinction. The founding fathers vested the executive power in
- 23:47Speaker 3: a single president of the United States. What we have
- 23:52Speaker 3: seen in the last two years is we have seen
- 23:56Speaker 3: Democrats deliberately weaponizing the Department of Justice and our legal
- 24:02Speaker 3: system to target their political opposition. It is not an
- 24:05Speaker 3: accident that every indictment against President Trump was brought by
- 24:12Speaker 3: a Democrat and was brought after he announced his campaign
- 24:16Speaker 3: for president of the United States. Understand the target of
- 24:19Speaker 3: those indictments was not ultimately President Trump. It was the voters.
- 24:25Speaker 3: It was prosecutors who were terrified that the voters would choose.
- 24:28Speaker 1: To re elect President Trump.
- 24:31Speaker 3: One of the great things about the United States is
- 24:32Speaker 3: we're not a been out of republic. Since two thousand,
- 24:36Speaker 3: the nation of Pakistan has had six former prime ministers
- 24:41Speaker 3: prosecuted and convicted. Brazil has had three former presidents arrested
- 24:45Speaker 3: and imprisoned. Last year, Nicaragua and President Daniel Ortega arrested, charged,
- 24:50Speaker 3: and imprisoned forty political opponents. General mc caasey u are
- 24:54Speaker 3: Attorney General of the United States. Is it the proper
- 24:57Speaker 3: role of the Department of Justice to prosecute and target
- 25:01Speaker 3: the political opponents of whoever happens to be President of
- 25:04Speaker 3: the United States.
- 25:05Speaker 1: It is, most assuredly not, thank you, he says. It
- 25:09Speaker 1: most certainly is not.
- 25:11Speaker 2: But the reality is Donald Trump keeps getting attacked by
- 25:15Speaker 2: the left, and they keep trying to lock up their
- 25:17Speaker 2: political opponent.
- 25:19Speaker 3: Yeah, no, that's exactly what they're doing. And their claim
- 25:22Speaker 3: that that that that the ruling that a president can't
- 25:25Speaker 3: be criminally prosecuted for his official acts is contrary to
- 25:29Speaker 3: the law. It's what's why I use the examples I used.
- 25:32Speaker 3: It's why I use Look, the Japanese and Tournament camp
- 25:35Speaker 3: presidents can do a lot of things in exercising their
- 25:38Speaker 3: official power that ordinary citizens cannot. And we would want
- 25:43Speaker 3: our commander in chief. Our commander in chief can send
- 25:46Speaker 3: our troops into combat, can can use lethal force, and
- 25:50Speaker 3: they do regularly, and and and so the Supreme Court
- 25:54Speaker 3: naturally said, well, we don't want a situation where each
- 25:58Speaker 3: new president who comes in the first order a business
- 26:00Speaker 3: is let's criminally prosecute the last guy for the things
- 26:04Speaker 3: he did as president that I disagreed with.
- 26:06Speaker 1: And so.
- 26:09Speaker 3: You know, the hearing was really a dog and pony
- 26:12Speaker 3: show by the Democrats to mischaracterize the Supreme Court decision.
- 26:16Speaker 3: So I thought it was important to explain the actual
- 26:20Speaker 3: law in the real context.
- 26:22Speaker 2: Let me let me ask you another question about this.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Will there be a correction? I mean, if Donald Trump
- 26:29Speaker 2: is the president next time, will there be a correction?
- 26:32Speaker 1: Or once the cats out of the bag.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Is there any way of getting it back to where
- 26:37Speaker 2: we were before as you described it twenty twenty three.
- 26:41Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 26:42Speaker 3: I certainly hope we are not in a world where
- 26:45Speaker 3: we are a banana republic where it is routine to
- 26:48Speaker 3: prosecute your predecessors. I don't know, but I do think
- 26:52Speaker 3: the Democrats have gone down a road that it's very
- 26:56Speaker 3: hard to turn around and come back from.
- 26:59Speaker 2: Yeah, it is to be very very tough, to put
- 27:02Speaker 2: it mildly, to turn this thing around. And I think
- 27:05Speaker 2: once they realize they can do this, I don't see
- 27:07Speaker 2: Democrats being responsible moving forward with it. That's my biggest concern.
- 27:11Speaker 2: So is there anything we can do to protect former
- 27:14Speaker 2: presidents or it is something need to change with the law.
- 27:18Speaker 3: And Look, the biggest thing we can and should do
- 27:20Speaker 3: is re elect Donald Trump as president. The elections have consequences.
- 27:25Speaker 3: We're six weeks away from election day. The outcome of
- 27:27Speaker 3: this election matters immensely.
