Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / Trump Calls for the House to RELEASE the Epstein files, plus Republicans WON the Shutdown
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome in his verdict with Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you.
- 0:04Speaker 1: It's so nice to have you with us, and Centator.
- 0:05Speaker 1: We can start with some very interesting news. It seems
- 0:09Speaker 1: like Democrats are playing checkers. Donald Trump is playing chess.
- 0:14Speaker 1: He got them to go all in on Epstein everything.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Now Trump's like, all right, fine, let's see it. No,
- 0:19Speaker 1: by the way, I think we should be investigating a
- 0:21Speaker 1: bunch of people that were hanging out with Jeffrey Epstein
- 0:23Speaker 1: as well. I don't think Democrats had that on their
- 0:26Speaker 1: bingo cards.
- 0:28Speaker 2: No, I don't think they did. Sunday night, President Trump
- 0:30Speaker 2: called on the House of Representatives to vote for releasing
- 0:33Speaker 2: all the Epstein files. This is a big deal. We're
- 0:36Speaker 2: gonna break it down why he did it, and what
- 0:37Speaker 2: it means. We'ress gonna talk about the polling numbers that
- 0:40Speaker 2: have come down that showed decisively the Democrats lost the shutdown.
- 0:45Speaker 2: It did not go well for them. The American people
- 0:48Speaker 2: view it as the shutdown, the end of the shutdown
- 0:50Speaker 2: as a major victory for President Trump and Republicans. We're
- 0:53Speaker 2: gonna break that down as well. And finally, we're gonna
- 0:56Speaker 2: talk about Michelle Obama did an amazing interview that week
- 1:01Speaker 2: in which she was asked if she would run for president,
- 1:03Speaker 2: and she basically said no, the American people are too
- 1:06Speaker 2: much of bigots to an elective woman. That apparently is
- 1:09Speaker 2: why Kamala Harris lost is because the voters are all
- 1:13Speaker 2: secret misogynists. And Michelle Obama of why she will not
- 1:17Speaker 2: grace us with her presence is the same. All of
- 1:20Speaker 2: that we're going to get into in detail right now.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Yeah, it's truly incredible.
- 1:24Speaker 1: I want to tell you where the holidays coming, and
- 1:26Speaker 1: many of you may be looking for charities that you
- 1:29Speaker 1: can get involved in, especially to spend time with your kids,
- 1:32Speaker 1: your grandkids and talk about how you can get back.
- 1:35Speaker 1: There is an organization I want you to know about,
- 1:37Speaker 1: and it's an amazing one, Compassion International. I want you
- 1:41Speaker 1: to just pause what you're doing for the next sixty seconds,
- 1:44Speaker 1: and I want you to imagine Lucy, a seven year old.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Her stomach often aches with hunger, her small hands instead
- 1:51Speaker 1: of holding crayons, now only the struggle of survival on
- 1:55Speaker 1: dusty streets. School is a distant dream, medical care forgotten hope.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Lucy's potential is overshadowed. Her future is dim, but what
- 2:05Speaker 1: if someone stepped in. What if there was a way
- 2:07Speaker 1: to ignite hope for children just like Lucy? Well there is,
- 2:11Speaker 1: and that is with Compassion International Partners and the local
- 2:15Speaker 1: churches that provide children holistic support more than just food.
- 2:20Speaker 1: They receive critical medical care, life changing education, vital skills training,
- 2:26Speaker 1: and spiritual development, all in Jesus's name, And you can
- 2:30Speaker 1: empower a child just like Lucy to break free from poverty.
- 2:35Speaker 1: I want you to do what I've done and sponsor
- 2:37Speaker 1: a child today. You can visit Compassion dot com. That's
- 2:41Speaker 1: Compassion dot com, all right. So, Senata, this has been
- 2:46Speaker 1: a very interesting couple of weeks with the Epstein files.
- 2:49Speaker 1: You probably dealt with it the same way I have.
- 2:52Speaker 1: The media is like obsessed with it all of a
- 2:53Speaker 1: sudden out of nowhere. They were they didn't give a
- 2:55Speaker 1: damn about the victims for literally years and years and years,
- 2:58Speaker 1: but now they think they hurt Donald Trump somehow with
- 3:01Speaker 1: the Epstein files, so they're obsessed with it.
- 3:03Speaker 3: And I said this to the night on CNN.
- 3:06Speaker 1: I said, I genuinely wish that you guys, and I
- 3:09Speaker 1: was referring to the liberals on the show, and the
- 3:11Speaker 1: host cared about the victims of Jeffrey Everstein this much
- 3:15Speaker 1: years ago.
- 3:16Speaker 3: And they didn't.
- 3:18Speaker 1: But this time it's only about trying to hurt Donald Trump. Now,
- 3:22Speaker 1: Donald Trump seems to be playing chess in an amazing way, saying,
- 3:26Speaker 1: all right, fine, hey, I'm in favor of doing it.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Now, let's vote on it. Let's get it done.
- 3:30Speaker 1: And not only that, I want to investigate people that
- 3:33Speaker 1: were in around Epstein to see what may have been
- 3:36Speaker 1: covered up, and that includes names like Bill Clinton.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Well Sunday night, Donald Trump said out a lengthy truth
- 3:42Speaker 2: on Truth's Social Here's what he said. He said quote
- 3:45Speaker 2: as I said on Friday night aboard Air Force one
- 3:48Speaker 2: to the fake news media House, Republicans should vote to
- 3:51Speaker 2: release the Epstein files because we have nothing to hide
- 3:55Speaker 2: and it's time to move on from this Democrat hoax
- 3:58Speaker 2: perpetuated by the rat left lunatics in order to deflect
- 4:02Speaker 2: from the great success of the Republican Party, including our
- 4:06Speaker 2: recent victory on the Democrats shutdown. The Department of Justice
- 4:09Speaker 2: has already turned over tens of thousands of pages to
- 4:12Speaker 2: the public on Epstein and are looking at various Democrat operatives.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Bill Clinton, Reid Hoffman, Larry Summers, etc. And their relationship
- 4:21Speaker 2: to Epstein and the House Oversight Committee can have whatever
- 4:25Speaker 2: they are legit and titled to. I don't care. I
- 4:28Speaker 2: don't care as in all caps. All I do care
- 4:31Speaker 2: about is that the Republicans get back on point, back
- 4:33Speaker 2: on points in all caps, which is the economy affordability,
- 4:39Speaker 2: where we are winning big, our victory on reducing inflation
- 4:43Speaker 2: from the highest level in history to practically nothing, bringing
- 4:47Speaker 2: down prices for the American people, delivering historic tax cuts,
- 4:51Speaker 2: gaining trillions of dollars of investment into America a record
- 4:55Speaker 2: in all caps, the rebuilding of our military, securing our border,
- 4:59Speaker 2: deporting criminal illegal aliens, ending men and women's sports, stopping
- 5:03Speaker 2: transgender for everyone, and so much more. Nobody cared about
- 5:07Speaker 2: Jeffrey Epstein when he was alive, and if the Democrats
- 5:12Speaker 2: had anything, they would have released it before our landslide
- 5:16Speaker 2: election victory. I'm going to come back to that in
- 5:18Speaker 2: a minute. Some quote members of the Republican Party are
- 5:23Speaker 2: being used, and we can't let that happen. Let's start
- 5:27Speaker 2: talking about the Republican Party's record setting achievements and not
- 5:32Speaker 2: fall into the Epstein trap, which is actually a curse
- 5:36Speaker 2: on the Democrats, not us make America great again. So
- 5:42Speaker 2: that tweet went out Sunday night. I got to say,
- 5:44Speaker 2: it's breaking news, and I think it's a big deal.
- 5:47Speaker 2: I fully expect the House we'll do exactly what President
- 5:50Speaker 2: Trump urged them to do, which is vote to release
- 5:53Speaker 2: the files, and hopefully the President is right that that
- 5:57Speaker 2: will put the constant obsession about the Epstein files behind
- 6:03Speaker 2: us for the media, because I understand the media is
- 6:05Speaker 2: not upset and obsessed over the victims of Jeffrey Epstein.
- 6:10Speaker 2: They're not obsessed over protecting the teenage girls who were
- 6:13Speaker 2: sexually assaulted. They're obsessed over one thing, which is attacking
- 6:16Speaker 2: Donald Trump. If it's not attacking Donald Trump, they have
- 6:20Speaker 2: zero interest. By the way, the Democrats, if it's not
- 6:22Speaker 2: attacking Donald Trump, they have zero interest. And one of
- 6:26Speaker 2: the important things to understand, Jeffrey Epstein was a Democrat.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Jeffrey Epstein was a major Democrat donor. Jeffrey Epstein was
- 6:37Speaker 2: one of the major fob's friends of Bills a very
- 6:41Speaker 2: close to Bill Clinton. Jeffrey Epstein was so close to
- 6:44Speaker 2: Bill Clinton that in his New York home, he had
- 6:48Speaker 2: hanging on the wall a painting a Bill Clinton in
- 6:54Speaker 2: Monica Lewinsky's blue dress wearing red pumps. Now that is
- 6:58Speaker 2: weird and freudian, and I'm very glad I was not
- 7:01Speaker 2: Jeffrey Epstein's shrink because I don't want to know what's
- 7:04Speaker 2: going on inside of his mind that he's fantasizing about
- 7:07Speaker 2: Bill Clinton in a blue dress with red pumps. But
- 7:12Speaker 2: at the end of the day, this guy was a
- 7:14Speaker 2: massive donor to Democrats, including Bill Clinton, including Chuck Schumer,
- 7:18Speaker 2: including Nancy Pelosi, and the Democrats have engaged in one
- 7:22Speaker 2: of the most incredible political ju jitsus that I think
- 7:26Speaker 2: has ever happened, because they've tried to hang this scandal
- 7:31Speaker 2: around Donald Trump's neck and what he said Sunday night
- 7:35Speaker 2: is enough of this already. Vote to release the files.
- 7:38Speaker 2: We're witting, we're winning every day, and this is about Democrats.
- 7:43Speaker 2: We're not going to pretend it's about anything else.
- 7:45Speaker 1: By the way, there was also another really big story
- 7:47Speaker 1: that was connected to this the media did not want
- 7:49Speaker 1: to cover either. It wasn't Republicans that Epstein was texting
- 7:54Speaker 1: during apparently hearings on Capitol Hill. Epstein was texting House
- 7:59Speaker 1: Democrats during the Michael Cohen hearing, uh and trying to
- 8:03Speaker 1: give advice on how to hurt Donald Trump. That is
- 8:08Speaker 1: like completely been admitted by the media. They are not
- 8:10Speaker 1: going to cover the story that Epstein was literally texting
- 8:13Speaker 1: trying to hurt Donald Trump, texting Democrats in real time
- 8:18Speaker 1: like you're if you've ever watched Congress Center during a
- 8:21Speaker 1: hearing and they look at their phone, Epstein's texting what
- 8:24Speaker 1: you should be saying or doing.
- 8:25Speaker 2: That's insane House Democrats while they're cross examining witnesses trying
- 8:30Speaker 2: to attack Donald Trump. Jeffrey Epstein was like, Okay, ask
- 8:32Speaker 2: this now, ask this, and and and and the Democrat
- 8:35Speaker 2: congresswoman was doing that, and and and and this is
- 8:39Speaker 2: that broke this week. And of course the corporate media
- 8:42Speaker 2: doesn't want to cover it because their narrative is Epstein
- 8:45Speaker 2: equals Donald Trump. At the end of the day, Epstein
- 8:48Speaker 2: was a major Democrat donor. And I gotta say, the
- 8:52Speaker 2: most important sentence in what Trump tweeted is is is
- 8:57Speaker 2: the following. Nobody cared about Jeffrey Epstein when he was alive.
- 9:02Speaker 2: And if the Democrats had anything, they would have released
- 9:08Speaker 2: it before our landslide election victory. So understand all the
- 9:12Speaker 2: Epstein files were in the possession of the Biden Department
- 9:15Speaker 2: of Justice. Yep, they were in the possession of the
- 9:17Speaker 2: Biden FBI. Now I know that the corporate media, their
- 9:22Speaker 2: hearts are going pitter path. They want some incredibly damning
- 9:26Speaker 2: evidence of Donald Trump committing a crime. They want video
- 9:29Speaker 2: of Donald Trump committing a crime. They've been dreaming about
- 9:31Speaker 2: that forever and ever and ever. And I just want
- 9:34Speaker 2: to ask you. I want to ask you what Trump
- 9:35Speaker 2: said if there were evidence of that, and the Biden
- 9:41Speaker 2: Justice Department, the most politicized, politically weaponized department of Justice
- 9:45Speaker 2: in the history of this country, had it, what are
- 9:48Speaker 2: the chances that they would not have released it before
- 9:51Speaker 2: election day last year? Yeah?
- 9:53Speaker 1: Zero percent chance. I mean they of course they would
- 9:56Speaker 1: have used it. They would have leaked at their masters
- 9:58Speaker 1: at leaking. If there was anything they could come up
- 10:00Speaker 1: with to hurt Trump, they will use it. Hell, they'll
- 10:02Speaker 1: even make up stuff like the Stele dossier to try
- 10:05Speaker 1: to hurt Trump. I mean, there's nothing they won't do
- 10:08Speaker 1: to try to bring him down, including trying to connect
- 10:10Speaker 1: the Epstein files now to Donald Trump, which there again
- 10:13Speaker 1: this goes back their obsession. They don't care about the victims.
- 10:16Speaker 1: They only care about hurting Donald Trump, orange man bat.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Yeah, and look, I assume somewhere in the vast files
- 10:22Speaker 2: there is something that is embarrassing to some Republican somewhere.
- 10:26Speaker 2: I assume that sure, because there was clearly some hesitancy
- 10:31Speaker 2: to release this information. They haven't done so. But everything
- 10:35Speaker 2: we know about it is the overwhelming weight of the
- 10:38Speaker 2: evidence is a bunch of corrupt Democrats who were on
- 10:41Speaker 2: Jeffrey Epstein's plane on the Lalita Express, who went to
- 10:44Speaker 2: his island, and who presumably participated in sexually assaulting underage girls.
- 10:50Speaker 2: And I've said for a long time, release that all
- 10:53Speaker 2: make it public. If anyone has sexually assaulted an underage girl,
- 10:57Speaker 2: prosecute them. And so I think Donald Trump and the
- 11:02Speaker 2: Trump White House said, all right, fine, if some Republican
- 11:05Speaker 2: is embarrassed by some glancing reference, and I have no
- 11:07Speaker 2: idea what it is, I haven't seen these files, so
- 11:10Speaker 2: be it. But the bulk of the evidence, from everything
- 11:14Speaker 2: we know, is going to be evidence that is a real,
- 11:18Speaker 2: real problem for I suspect a significant number of Democrats.
- 11:22Speaker 2: I'm glad the President did this. I'm hopeful the House
- 11:26Speaker 2: can vote, we can put this behind it, and then
- 11:28Speaker 2: we can have some real accountability to people who committed
- 11:32Speaker 2: criminal acts and and hurt underage girls.
- 11:35Speaker 1: When all this comes out, and if it does go
- 11:38Speaker 1: the way that we believe it is, we're just gonna
- 11:40Speaker 1: it's all gonna be there. What is the obligation then,
- 11:44Speaker 1: and what can people expect will happen afterwards? From a
- 11:50Speaker 1: congressional oversight perspective.
- 11:53Speaker 2: I don't know. I think you will see Congress engage
- 11:56Speaker 2: in some oversight. You know, I've talked in this podcast
- 11:59Speaker 2: before how Pambondi, the Attorney General, told me there were
- 12:03Speaker 2: significant videos that they were in the process of reviewing
- 12:05Speaker 2: to make sure they're protecting the victims. Obviously that's important,
- 12:08Speaker 2: you want to protect the victims. There are also, as
- 12:11Speaker 2: I understand it, limitations in terms of what can be
- 12:14Speaker 2: released publicly based on orders from federal judges. My understanding
- 12:18Speaker 2: again is those judges are all judges appointed by Democrat presidents,
- 12:23Speaker 2: and so DOJ feels some constraints because of those judicial
- 12:26Speaker 2: orders in terms of what they can release. I'd like
- 12:29Speaker 2: it all to be public, make it all public, have
- 12:31Speaker 2: there be accountability across the board, and I think the
- 12:34Speaker 2: President's tweet Sunday night is a big step in that direction.
- 12:37Speaker 1: I want to play with Donald Trump, I had to
- 12:39Speaker 1: say before he got on the plane to return back
- 12:42Speaker 1: to Washington, before this tweet was put out, and he
- 12:45Speaker 1: got in the face of reporter who asked him a question,
- 12:48Speaker 1: trying to again make this into some sort of ap
- 12:50Speaker 1: scene Trump connection.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Take a listen to what he said.
- 12:53Speaker 4: Fake news like you, you're a terrible reporter, and fake
- 12:57Speaker 4: news like you. They just keep bringing that up to
- 12:59Speaker 4: deflect from the tremendous success of the Trump administration. So
- 13:04Speaker 4: a guy like Massy, his full numbers is showing, he said,
- 13:06Speaker 4: six percent approval rating right now, and we call him
- 13:10Speaker 4: Ran Paul Junior because he never votes for the Republican Party.
- 13:15Speaker 4: So that using Jeffrey Epstein as a deflection from the
- 13:19Speaker 4: tremendous success that we're having as a party.
- 13:23Speaker 1: You know, I do think there's politics here. President Trump's
- 13:26Speaker 1: figured that out, and he's like, they just bring this
- 13:29Speaker 1: crap up whenever they want to start hitting me on
- 13:30Speaker 1: something because they don't want to talk about something else.
- 13:33Speaker 1: And that's why I think you so irritated. And it's
- 13:35Speaker 1: also I think the reason why on the plane decided,
- 13:37Speaker 1: all right, forget it. I'm all in on this one.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Let's go well and listen. The substante point about his
- 13:43Speaker 2: tweet is exactly right that we have seen major historic
- 13:46Speaker 2: victories the past year. You look at illegal immigration. We
- 13:50Speaker 2: went from the worst invasion of this country in history
- 13:53Speaker 2: twelve million illegals by far the highest rate ever, to
- 13:57Speaker 2: illegal border crossings dropping more than ninety nine percent. When's
- 14:00Speaker 2: the last time the corporate media covered that. They don't
- 14:02Speaker 2: cover that, the fact that this crisis that was endangering
- 14:06Speaker 2: Americans across this country, President Trump has solved that. You
- 14:09Speaker 2: look at the one big beautiful bill you and I
- 14:11Speaker 2: have talked about before. There are more conservative victories in
- 14:14Speaker 2: that one big beautiful bill than any legislation that has
- 14:17Speaker 2: ever passed into law, including more than four trillion dollars
- 14:21Speaker 2: in tax cuts, including no taxes on tips, no taxes
- 14:24Speaker 2: on overtime, no taxes on Social Security, including the provision
- 14:27Speaker 2: I authored, the largest federal school choice provision in history,
- 14:31Speaker 2: that is going to help millions of kids across America
- 14:34Speaker 2: get access to an excellent education, including the Trump accounts
- 14:38Speaker 2: that is going to make every child in America an
- 14:41Speaker 2: owner of the biggest companies in America. These are landmark victories,
- 14:46Speaker 2: and I think the President is frustrated that not enough
- 14:49Speaker 2: Republicans are talking about that, the media is not talking
- 14:52Speaker 2: about that. And I think this is his efforts to say, look,
- 14:55Speaker 2: let's focus on our real success as the president as
- 14:58Speaker 2: a result of his leadership, where seeing trillions of dollars
- 15:01Speaker 2: of new investments in the US economy, opening new factories.
- 15:05Speaker 2: I'm talking to CEOs every week who are talking about
- 15:08Speaker 2: making massive new investments in America, creating jobs. Then I
- 15:12Speaker 2: think the President quite rightly says that's what we should
- 15:15Speaker 2: be talking about, how we're making a difference in the
- 15:17Speaker 2: lives of Americans, not the Democrats political game trying to
- 15:21Speaker 2: blame this Democrat donor who was a pedophile, trying to
- 15:25Speaker 2: blame him on Republicans. I think that's exactly right.
- 15:30Speaker 1: By the way you go back to what the Republicans
- 15:33Speaker 1: have done compared to what the Democrats have done. It's
- 15:35Speaker 1: a great segue into some data that we now have,
- 15:38Speaker 1: and it may explain why the Democrats, eight of them,
- 15:42Speaker 1: decide to go along with the Republicans after the longest
- 15:45Speaker 1: shut down in American history. It also, in theory if
- 15:49Speaker 1: there is sanity in the Democratic Party could tell you
- 15:52Speaker 1: a lot about what may or may not happen come
- 15:55Speaker 1: January with another government shut down, and that is the Democrats.
- 16:00Speaker 1: This isn't because I'm saying it. The polling is now
- 16:03Speaker 1: saying it. Democrats lost on the issue of the government shutdown.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Let's break those numbers down for everybody.
- 16:11Speaker 2: Yeah, So, CBS News conducted a poll. Here's what CBS
- 16:15Speaker 2: News tweeted. Quote. By a wide margin, Americans say it
- 16:19Speaker 2: was Republicans and President Trump who succeeded in getting more
- 16:23Speaker 2: of what they wanted from negotiations to end the shutdown.
- 16:26Speaker 2: This survey recontacted americans first interviewed in our early November
- 16:30Speaker 2: poll while the shutdown was in effect. And here's what
- 16:33Speaker 2: CBS concluded ending the shutdown. Who got more of what
- 16:37Speaker 2: they wanted? Trump and Republicans? What percent do you think
- 16:40Speaker 2: it has been?
- 16:41Speaker 3: What is it?
- 16:42Speaker 2: Fifty five percent?
- 16:45Speaker 3: There you go?
- 16:46Speaker 2: How about Democrats? Do you think it's close?
- 16:49Speaker 3: I'm going to go probably not six percent.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Fifty say Trump and Republicans got more of what they wanted,
- 16:57Speaker 2: six percent say Democrats did, fifteen percent say both equally,
- 17:01Speaker 2: and twenty four percent say neither. So that's what CBS.
- 17:05Speaker 2: CBS is hardly this right wing source, CBS is concluding
- 17:10Speaker 2: the American people clearly see this as a loss for Democrats.
- 17:14Speaker 2: And I want you to listen to Tim Kane. So
- 17:17Speaker 2: Tim Kaine is, as you know, a Democrat senator from Virginia.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Virginia has an awful lot of federal employees who went
- 17:26Speaker 2: forty three days without being paid, without getting a paycheck,
- 17:30Speaker 2: many of whom were frustrated, and Tim Kaine, by the way,
- 17:33Speaker 2: voted for reopening the government. And so I want you
- 17:36Speaker 2: to listen to Tim Kaine when he's being asked about
- 17:40Speaker 2: AOC attacking Senate Democrats for being willing to open the
- 17:44Speaker 2: government at all. Give a listen. The lesson that they're
- 17:47Speaker 2: learning is that Democrats are met and that next.
- 17:50Speaker 5: Time you just need to hurt working people and working
- 17:52Speaker 5: Americans more to get them to fold. And I don't
- 17:55Speaker 5: want them to learn that lesson.
- 17:57Speaker 6: Senator, what do you say to that argument that Democrats'
- 18:00Speaker 6: projected weakness here?
- 18:02Speaker 5: So twofold, I have three hundred and twenty thousand federal
- 18:05Speaker 5: employees in Virginia, and together with their families, that's probably
- 18:09Speaker 5: seven hundred thousand dependents getting them all back to work
- 18:13Speaker 5: with two paychecks that they've missed, restored with protections against
- 18:17Speaker 5: future firings. You know, some folks like AOC may think
- 18:21Speaker 5: that's nothing. Virginians think it's an awful lot. And second,
- 18:26Speaker 5: if the goal was to try to get healthcare front
- 18:29Speaker 5: and center, she was not at the table with the
- 18:32Speaker 5: Republicans in the Senate, and so maybe she thinks that
- 18:36Speaker 5: the Republicans would have caved. Would it have been another
- 18:38Speaker 5: week of SNAP recipients losing their SNAP benefits, another month
- 18:43Speaker 5: of air traffic or air travelers enduring chaos and even danger,
- 18:48Speaker 5: another two months of federal employees losing their paychecks. I
- 18:52Speaker 5: was at the table with the Republican senators, and I
- 18:55Speaker 5: knew if we wanted to get to the healthcare discussion,
- 18:58Speaker 5: we had to open up government.
- 19:00Speaker 3: I mean, this is a little bit of a civil war.
- 19:02Speaker 1: I think you're witnessing on on live TV if you're
- 19:05Speaker 1: watching Meet the Press, Tim Kay and Kan is exactly
- 19:08Speaker 1: like the most like conservative guy in the world of
- 19:11Speaker 1: the Democratic Party is pretty progressively liberal. AOC there, and look,
- 19:15Speaker 1: I think this is gonna be the fight they're gonna
- 19:17Speaker 1: have come January. Right, are the are they gonna be
- 19:20Speaker 1: held hostage again by the AOC's the party or will
- 19:24Speaker 1: the saying look at the poll numbers and say we
- 19:27Speaker 1: can't do that again.
- 19:28Speaker 3: It didn't work out for us.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Yeah. And by the way, the Civil War is playing out.
- 19:32Speaker 2: You know, Tim Kaine voted for reopening the government. The
- 19:35Speaker 2: other Virginia Senator, Mark Warner, did not. Mark Warner voted
- 19:40Speaker 2: to keep the government shut down. And by the way,
- 19:42Speaker 2: you know which one of them is on the ballot
- 19:43Speaker 2: in twenty twenty six.
- 19:45Speaker 3: Which one is that Mark Warner.
- 19:48Speaker 2: So every one of the federal government employees who didn't
- 19:52Speaker 2: get paid, Mark Warner voted even on day forty three, no,
- 19:56Speaker 2: we're not gonna pay you. And now, now look the
- 20:00Speaker 2: Virginia gubernatorial election. You had Democrat turnout because they're hardcore
- 20:04Speaker 2: partisans were mad, but the Virginia gubernatorial election was a
- 20:08Speaker 2: not a terribly high turnout election. It's an interesting decision.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Usually when you have two senators from the same party
- 20:17Speaker 2: from the same state, they vote as a pair because
- 20:20Speaker 2: they don't like to have a distinction. Mark Warner is
- 20:22Speaker 2: not going to enjoy for the next year being asked,
- 20:25Speaker 2: why didn't you vote with Tim Kaine to reopen the government.
- 20:28Speaker 2: That is a problem for Mark Warner, and ultimately I assume, look,
- 20:34Speaker 2: Mark Warner styles himself. He calls himself a moderate Democrat.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Now he votes with Chuck Schumer virtually every single time.
- 20:43Speaker 2: But Schumer himself has a fundamental problem. I mean, when
- 20:47Speaker 2: you said Democrat civil war, that's not hyperbole. And it
- 20:52Speaker 2: is the reason we had the Schumer shutdown, the largest
- 20:57Speaker 2: longest government shutdown in American history, is because Schumer as
- 21:00Speaker 2: a political crisis. His left wing wants to take him
- 21:04Speaker 2: out and fire him, end his job. By the way,
- 21:06Speaker 2: the second longest government shut down in history was the
- 21:09Speaker 2: first Schumer shut down under the first Trump term. So
- 21:12Speaker 2: Chuck Schumer has spots one and two in the record books.
- 21:15Speaker 2: But even though Chuck Schumer threw this temper tantrum, shut
- 21:19Speaker 2: the government down, didn't pay federal government employees, inflicted enormous
- 21:23Speaker 2: pain on the American people, even though we did all
- 21:25Speaker 2: of that to show his crazies, he hates Trump as
- 21:27Speaker 2: much as they did. Even though on day forty three
- 21:30Speaker 2: of the shutdown, Chuck Schumer still voted no, don't reopen
- 21:33Speaker 2: the government. You know what, the radicals still want to
- 21:36Speaker 2: throw him out. Of office. It wasn't enough. Take a listen
- 21:40Speaker 2: to Tim Kaine being asked about whether Schumer should.
- 21:42Speaker 6: Be fired the Democratic Party. More than a dozen House
- 21:46Speaker 6: members are calling for Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer to
- 21:51Speaker 6: step down, including my next guest, Congressman Roe Kanna, Senator.
- 21:55Speaker 6: Given this, given that so many Democrats are calling for
- 21:59Speaker 6: leadership to step aside, can he be an effective leader?
- 22:05Speaker 5: Yes, Chuck has been an effective leader. Remember when Chuck
- 22:08Speaker 5: was Majority leader during the Biden administration, he produced a
- 22:13Speaker 5: string of legislative wins with a bare majority, nearly unparalleled
- 22:17Speaker 5: in recent history. Infrastructure, the American Rescue Plan, the Inflation
- 22:21Speaker 5: and Reduction Act, fixing the Electoral College, first gun safety
- 22:25Speaker 5: bill in twenty five years, an important veterans legislation. Being
- 22:29Speaker 5: a minority leader is tough in the Senate. We have
- 22:32Speaker 5: some tools in minority, but not many. We don't control
- 22:35Speaker 5: what's on the floor. And you know, if you're dealing
- 22:39Speaker 5: with senators and Kristin you do. It's not exactly like
- 22:42Speaker 5: senators just get in line and follow the leader. So
- 22:46Speaker 5: I don't tell Rocanna or AOC or anybody else who
- 22:49Speaker 5: you should pick as your House leader, because I got
- 22:51Speaker 5: a full time job being a senator. I don't need
- 22:53Speaker 5: to freelance opinions about House leadership. They should focus on
- 22:57Speaker 5: their own leadership and let senators do what we need
- 23:00Speaker 5: to do to keep this country moving forward.
- 23:03Speaker 1: I mean, saty, this is just a straight up problem
- 23:05Speaker 1: for Democrats now right. They don't know who their leaders are,
- 23:09Speaker 1: they don't know who they're standing behind, they don't know
- 23:11Speaker 1: who they want to be in charge. And yet they
- 23:14Speaker 1: just were able to shut down the government and claim
- 23:16Speaker 1: they were successful.
- 23:17Speaker 3: And now that's even a backfire.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Look, this is Democrat on democrat political warfare. This is
- 23:23Speaker 2: a civil war.
- 23:24Speaker 5: You know.
- 23:24Speaker 2: It reminds me of the old quip that Ronald Reagan
- 23:26Speaker 2: used to say, which is the problem with Republicans is
- 23:29Speaker 2: the right hand doesn't know what the far right hand
- 23:31Speaker 2: is doing. This is an instance where for Democrats, the
- 23:34Speaker 2: left hand doesn't know what the far left hand is
- 23:36Speaker 2: doing other than they are punching each other. They are
- 23:39Speaker 2: fighting like crazy. And so it really is striking to
- 23:42Speaker 2: see Tim Kaine going on a Sunday show and getting
- 23:45Speaker 2: asked AOC says, you guys suck, and Rocanna says Chuck
- 23:48Speaker 2: Schumer should be fired. What say you and he's like,
- 23:51Speaker 2: they should butt out and let us be sentate Democrats
- 23:53Speaker 2: because we're screwing things up so badly that we're really
- 23:56Speaker 2: good at it.
- 23:57Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:57Speaker 1: And if you think that, by the way, that the
- 23:58Speaker 1: only ones that are just can right now, you would
- 24:02Speaker 1: be wrong. Let's move to Michelle Obama. She has come
- 24:05Speaker 1: out and basically said, I will not grace you with
- 24:08Speaker 1: my presence as a president of the United States America.
- 24:12Speaker 1: You don't deserve me because there's too many massagists out
- 24:16Speaker 1: there and I'm not gonna give you my candidacy.
- 24:20Speaker 2: Yeah. She was asked whether or not she would run
- 24:23Speaker 2: for president. Her response was, as we saw in this
- 24:26Speaker 2: past election, sadly, we ain't ready. That's why I'm like,
- 24:31Speaker 2: don't even look at me about running, because you all
- 24:34Speaker 2: are lying. You're not ready for a woman. You are not.
- 24:38Speaker 2: And she says, you know, we've got a lot of
- 24:40Speaker 2: growing up to do, and there's still, sadly a lot
- 24:43Speaker 2: of men who do not feel like they can be
- 24:45Speaker 2: led by a woman. And we saw it what utter
- 24:47Speaker 2: and complete nonsense by the way, Joe Biden was getting
- 24:51Speaker 2: his ass kicked. Now, I understand the Democrats can't tell
- 24:54Speaker 2: the difference between a man and a woman. So maybe Michelle.
- 24:56Speaker 3: Obama, a woman, is right that thinks that.
- 24:58Speaker 2: Joe Biden is a woman. But Trump was winning when
- 25:01Speaker 2: Biden was the nominee. Trump was winning when Michelle Obama
- 25:04Speaker 2: was the nominee. Trump was winning a because the Biden
- 25:07Speaker 2: Harris Democrat agenda was a train wreck that hurt the
- 25:10Speaker 2: American people, and b because the American people wanted President
- 25:13Speaker 2: Trump back in the oval office. Here, I want you
- 25:16Speaker 2: to give a listen to exactly what Michelle Obama said,
- 25:19Speaker 2: Give a listen.
- 25:20Speaker 7: Do you think that that impacts the room that we've
- 25:22Speaker 7: made for a woman to be president? Well, as we
- 25:26Speaker 7: saw in this past election, sadly, we ain't ready. That's
- 25:31Speaker 7: why I'm like, don't even look at me about running
- 25:34Speaker 7: because you all are lying you're not ready for a woman.
- 25:37Speaker 7: You are not, So don't waste my time. You know,
- 25:42Speaker 7: we got a lot of growing up to do, and
- 25:44Speaker 7: theyre's still I'm sadly a lot of men who do
- 25:47Speaker 7: not feel like they can be led by a woman.
- 25:49Speaker 7: And we saw it.
- 25:51Speaker 3: What was the question I just said, m So we
- 25:58Speaker 3: don't need to ask it again. Answer.
- 26:02Speaker 1: I mean, you listen to that, and the room goes
- 26:04Speaker 1: wild with women. It was clearly a female audience that
- 26:07Speaker 1: she's talking with there.
- 26:08Speaker 2: It was also a feminine man. Don't don't, don't forget.
- 26:11Speaker 3: Oh, that's true. We can't assume, I mean, this.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Is this is the Democrat Party.
- 26:16Speaker 1: Yes, we can't assume from the high pitchedness of the
- 26:19Speaker 1: screams in the room that it was actually when it
- 26:20Speaker 1: could women, it could be people that identify as a woman.
- 26:24Speaker 3: That's true. Valid point. I apologize.
- 26:25Speaker 2: When you have a male who's taking estrogen and like
- 26:29Speaker 2: wearing a tight strap to like tuck in, they have
- 26:32Speaker 2: pretty high squeels.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Well you know they jope during the holidays and shavit
- 26:36Speaker 1: target get those tucking swimsuits for them, right, And half
- 26:39Speaker 1: of them used to work at the White House anyway,
- 26:41Speaker 1: so there's always that as well. When I heard that,
- 26:45Speaker 1: When I heard that, I laughed because I thought it
- 26:47Speaker 1: was so funny. One, I don't think there's a bunch
- 26:50Speaker 1: of people that are wanting her to run run right
- 26:52Speaker 1: now for for president. Her best shout at it would
- 26:56Speaker 1: have been a coronation like we had with with with
- 26:59Speaker 1: Kamala Harris that obviously didn't happen. But she's like you basically,
- 27:02Speaker 1: don't deserve me. That is the weirdest Jedi mind trick
- 27:06Speaker 1: political thing I've ever seen.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Well, look, it's just arrogance, and you're right, had she
- 27:11Speaker 2: wanted to do it, they would have handed it to
- 27:14Speaker 2: her instead of Kamala Harris and you and I talked
- 27:16Speaker 2: about this a lot on this podcast. By the way,
- 27:18Speaker 2: this podcast predicted more than a year before the Democrat
- 27:22Speaker 2: Party pulled the rug out from under Joe Biden. We
- 27:25Speaker 2: predicted on Verdict. Regular listens to Verdict. No, we regularly
- 27:29Speaker 2: make predictions. We make predictions that frankly are risky, that
- 27:33Speaker 2: are out there, and the overwhelming majority of the predictions
- 27:37Speaker 2: we make on this podcast have come true. When you
- 27:40Speaker 2: and I said a year before Joe Biden was yanked
- 27:43Speaker 2: unceremoniously off the ticket, that Biden would be pulled off
- 27:46Speaker 2: the ticket, you and I, and by that I mainly
- 27:51Speaker 2: mean me. I was mocked mercilessly.
- 27:57Speaker 3: Hold on, I agreed with you at the time. Give
- 27:59Speaker 3: me a little no.
- 28:01Speaker 2: No, you did agree with me, but they didn't make
- 28:03Speaker 2: fun of you. The press went after me and says
- 28:07Speaker 2: Cruise is a moon bat numbskull. I think they kind
- 28:10Speaker 2: of bake into the cake that you're a moon bat numbskull.
- 28:13Speaker 3: So I do host this show with you. So there's that, right, Yeah.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Yeah, it's guilt by association. Sorry about that, but like
- 28:19Speaker 2: literally the corporate media went crazy. They had episodes mocking me.
- 28:23Speaker 2: What a crazy thing for Cruz to say, Biden's not
- 28:26Speaker 2: going to be the nominee. Obviously, anyone with any sense
- 28:30Speaker 2: at all knows he's going to be the nominee. Well,
- 28:33Speaker 2: we were right, and if Michelle Obama had wanted it,
- 28:36Speaker 2: she would have been the nominee last time. We predicted
- 28:38Speaker 2: that as well. She didn't want it, but the dripping
- 28:41Speaker 2: arrogance of her, you know, you listen to her comments.
- 28:44Speaker 2: The American people have a lot of growing up to do. Yeah,
- 28:47Speaker 2: like the absolute condescension. You people are too immature to
- 28:53Speaker 2: elect my magnificence. Why not because my ideas are terrible,
- 28:58Speaker 2: Not because the Democrat ideas are horrible and have resulted
- 29:02Speaker 2: in open borders, have resulted in people being murdered and
- 29:05Speaker 2: women being raped and children being assaulted. Not because we
- 29:08Speaker 2: had rampant inflation, not because Joe Biden. The Democrats caused
- 29:12Speaker 2: war all over the earth, turned peace and prosperity into
- 29:15Speaker 2: a war in Ukraine and October seventh and a war
- 29:17Speaker 2: in Gaza. You know, not because every single thing we
- 29:22Speaker 2: touched turned to absolute garbage. No, no, no, no, That's not
- 29:26Speaker 2: the reason Kamala Harris lost resoundingly. The reason, according to
- 29:30Speaker 2: the leftist ideology, is you all are bigots and your
- 29:34Speaker 2: racist and your sexist. And that's the only possible reason.
- 29:37Speaker 2: And I got to say that contemptuous condescension is one
- 29:43Speaker 2: of the worst characteristics of the Democrat Party today. But
- 29:47Speaker 2: it also does indicate this is not a party that
- 29:51Speaker 2: is reassessing. You know, normally, we lose an election, and
- 29:55Speaker 2: you lose an election badly. At least some people with
- 29:59Speaker 2: sense in the part to go, huh, wonder why the
- 30:02Speaker 2: voters rejected what we said. Maybe we should change, you know,
- 30:04Speaker 2: you think back to in nineteen eighty Reagan was elected.
- 30:08Speaker 2: In eighty four, Reagan was re elected one forty nine
- 30:11Speaker 2: out of fifty states, came within a few thousand votes
- 30:14Speaker 2: of winning every single state in the Union. Reagan won California,
- 30:18Speaker 2: New York, Illinois, Massachusetts, every state Minnesota. Nineteen eighty eight,
- 30:23Speaker 2: George Herbert walker Bush was elected and after losing three
- 30:27Speaker 2: consecutive presidential races. Democrats said, huh, maybe nominating Jimmy Carter
- 30:33Speaker 2: and Walter Mondale and Michael Dukaucus was a bad idea.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Maybe crazy left wing loons do not command a majority
- 30:41Speaker 2: in American What did they do? They pivoted, They moved
- 30:43Speaker 2: dramatically towards the center, and they nominated what was then
- 30:46Speaker 2: a moderate to conservative Democrat, the governor of Arkansas named
- 30:50Speaker 2: Bill Clinton. And Bill Clinton won two consecutive elections because
- 30:54Speaker 2: they shifted. You know what, I don't see any Democrats
- 30:57Speaker 2: doing that right now. I don't see them looking in
- 30:59Speaker 2: saying why did we get clobbered? Why did did Trump
- 31:03Speaker 2: win all seven of the swing states? I don't see
- 31:07Speaker 2: Democrats saying that at all. And Michelle Obama saying, you
- 31:10Speaker 2: people are a bunch of biggots in sexists and you
- 31:12Speaker 2: just need to grow up. You know what I'm saying,
- 31:15Speaker 2: Whoever the Democrat nominee is in twenty eight, please make
- 31:18Speaker 2: Michelle Obama your spokesperson, because we really need her lecturing
- 31:22Speaker 2: the American people how much the voter suck. Because you
- 31:26Speaker 2: know that historically has proved such an effective way to campaign.
- 31:31Speaker 1: Amen to that, don't forget we do this show Monday,
- 31:33Speaker 1: Wednesday Friday. Hit that subscribe or auto download button so you
- 31:36Speaker 1: do not miss an episode and makes you share it

- 31:42Speaker 1: greatly appreciated and we will see you back here on
- 31:45Speaker 1: Wednesday morning.
