- 2:05Speaker 1: You are listening to the voice, Come on dig me now.
- 2:08Speaker 1: One and only Steve Harvey man got a radio show man, Yeah, dude,
- 2:14Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show because I can't tell
- 2:19Speaker 1: it to you any other way. Because God has been
- 2:23Speaker 1: so so very amazing to me. But the same God,
- 2:29Speaker 1: and there is but one that same God he is.
- 2:35Speaker 1: It can and will be amazing in your life if
- 2:39Speaker 1: you just allow it to happen. You know. I was somewhere,
- 2:44Speaker 1: you know, and I was driving on the freeway somewhere,
- 2:47Speaker 1: and I saw a billboard and there was a guy
- 2:54Speaker 1: in a field on his knees. And on this billboard
- 2:58Speaker 1: it said something to the effect when you've run out
- 3:04Speaker 1: of answers, try prayer. And I was going somewhere and
- 3:11Speaker 1: I don't even remember I go so much. Man, I
- 3:15Speaker 1: was just going somewhere and I saw this billboarding and
- 3:20Speaker 1: I thought about that, And man, I cannot tell you
- 3:25Speaker 1: how true of a statement that is. When you've run
- 3:30Speaker 1: out of answers, when you don't know what to do,
- 3:33Speaker 1: when you feel weak, when you are at a low point,
- 3:38Speaker 1: when things just seem to keep happening to you, and
- 3:41Speaker 1: you don't understand why. Prayer is an amazing weapon. Prayer
- 3:48Speaker 1: is available to all of us. Here's a deal. You
- 3:54Speaker 1: don't have to go through the all of that you're
- 3:57Speaker 1: going through alone. See, I'm talking to men, women, boys, girls, students, leaders, bosses, employees.
- 4:08Speaker 1: I don't care what's happening. I don't care what your
- 4:10Speaker 1: situation is. I don't care if your relationship is all
- 4:14Speaker 1: jacked up. I don't care if your kids and your
- 4:17Speaker 1: relationship is jacked up. I don't care if your relationship
- 4:22Speaker 1: at work is shot. Your coworkers seem to always make
- 4:26Speaker 1: you the buddy end of the joke. You always somebody
- 4:29Speaker 1: always talking about you behind your back. You're finding it
- 4:33Speaker 1: more and more necessary to try to hold your head
- 4:35Speaker 1: up and walk past these people when some days you
- 4:38Speaker 1: can't even get your chin up off your chest. If
- 4:42Speaker 1: You're a woman out there and you've been alone by
- 4:45Speaker 1: yourself for so long, and you just tired of being alone.
- 4:48Speaker 1: You really want a relationship, you really want to be
- 4:52Speaker 1: have a mate, You want to meet your soul mate,
- 4:55Speaker 1: whatever it is, whatever it is, p is the answer.
- 5:03Speaker 1: You are listening to a guy who is a direct
- 5:06Speaker 1: recipient of prayer. I can't tell you anything that I've
- 5:12Speaker 1: gotten out of that I didn't pray about. Oh, now,
- 5:17Speaker 1: there are a lot of things. Hold on, let me
- 5:19Speaker 1: backtrack a little bit. There are a lot of things
- 5:22Speaker 1: that have happened in my life that I've gotten past
- 5:25Speaker 1: without prayer because I think my Mama was praying for me.
- 5:29Speaker 1: And then there's this thing that God has called grace
- 5:32Speaker 1: and mercy that he just somehow keeps us all waking
- 5:35Speaker 1: up every day without foot on some form of solid
- 5:39Speaker 1: ground because he's just waiting on us to come to him.
- 5:43Speaker 1: But y'all, if you can implement prayer into your day
- 5:48Speaker 1: every single day, and I'm talking about put it in
- 5:52Speaker 1: there at the top of your day, put it in
- 5:55Speaker 1: there in the middle of your day, put it in
- 5:57Speaker 1: there when you close your day out, when you're sitting
- 6:01Speaker 1: at your desk and ain't nobody bothering you. That's a
- 6:05Speaker 1: good time. Now. Look, you don't have to make no sing.
- 6:09Speaker 1: You ain't got to let everybody know, Oh I'm spiritual,
- 6:12Speaker 1: I love God, look at me, Oh I'm down or
- 6:14Speaker 1: you ain't got to do none of that. Matter of fact,
- 6:16Speaker 1: don't do it for that reason, because if that's your
- 6:18Speaker 1: reason for doing it, that's gonna be your reward. If
- 6:21Speaker 1: you want somebody to just say, oh, they pray every
- 6:24Speaker 1: you know, they pray at lunch and they have a
- 6:25Speaker 1: Bible on they desk and they have a bunch of
- 6:28Speaker 1: highlights in it. If you sitting it out there so
- 6:30Speaker 1: people can see that that's what you do, then that's
- 6:32Speaker 1: gonna be your reward. Please know, that's gonna be your reward.
- 6:38Speaker 1: What I want you to do is pray. Ask God
- 6:44Speaker 1: for the things the desires of your heart, have a faith,
- 6:48Speaker 1: believe in them. But pray earnestly.
- 6:52Speaker 6: Man.
- 6:53Speaker 1: I mean, actually go at it with saying, hey, God,
- 6:57Speaker 1: listen to me. I can't do this without you. I
- 7:00Speaker 1: need your help. Listen, man, I know a lot of
- 7:04Speaker 1: people that pray. I know a lot of it. If
- 7:07Speaker 1: I told you the rich and famous that I talk
- 7:11Speaker 1: to that pray constantly. It would a mazed you. Go
- 7:15Speaker 1: talk to God about it. Man. Matter of fact, you
- 7:17Speaker 1: done already got yourself into trouble. Go talk to God
- 7:21Speaker 1: about it. You can't see no way out. You're in
- 7:24Speaker 1: a situation. You're thinking about doing something straight crazy. Pump
- 7:28Speaker 1: your brakes, partner, Slow down a little bit, my man,
- 7:31Speaker 1: Slow down. Don't. All you're gonna do is make situation worse.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Go over there today and talk to God. Talk to
- 7:42Speaker 1: God for real. Just and look, man. You know what, Man,
- 7:46Speaker 1: Sometimes I've gone to God and I've just said, Hey, God,
- 7:50Speaker 1: I don't have a clue. Matter of fact, I'm so
- 7:54Speaker 1: jacked of right now, God, I don't even really know
- 7:56Speaker 1: what to ask you for. I just need some help.
- 8:00Speaker 1: So deep in some mess right now. Not only can
- 8:05Speaker 1: I not see the way out, I can't see my
- 8:07Speaker 1: way round. There's a there's a poem called Invictis, and
- 8:13Speaker 1: the opening line says, out of the night that covers
- 8:18Speaker 1: me black as a pit from pole to pole. I
- 8:24Speaker 1: thank God's for whatever be for my unconquerable soul. That
- 8:30Speaker 1: this line is so deep. It starts off saying I
- 8:35Speaker 1: am in deep trouble. I'm in a pit black as
- 8:40Speaker 1: a pit from pole to pole. I'm talking about man.
- 8:44Speaker 1: From over there to over there, it's pitch black and
- 8:51Speaker 1: and and man that man. You've been in that situation before, y'all,
- 8:57Speaker 1: because I have. I'm talking about black as a pit
- 9:01Speaker 1: from pole to pole. God is there, God is available.
- 9:08Speaker 1: God is always standing by. He just wants you to
- 9:14Speaker 1: come to him. See, he been coming to you a
- 9:17Speaker 1: whole lot of times. He's presented himself. I can't tell
- 9:21Speaker 1: you how many times he's shown you how good a
- 9:23Speaker 1: god he is. He's given us all grace and mercy
- 9:26Speaker 1: without us asking for it. He's gotten you through some things.
- 9:29Speaker 1: And you look at him, going, oh, man, I don't
- 9:31Speaker 1: know how the hell. Okay, that's cool. I'm cool. No no, no, no, no,
- 9:35Speaker 1: that wasn't cool. That was God. Pray man, when you
- 9:39Speaker 1: out of answers and you don't know what to do, pray.
- 9:42Speaker 1: If you see some trouble, come and pray. If you
- 9:45Speaker 1: already got into it, pray if you don't know the answers, pray.
- 9:49Speaker 1: If you can't see no way out, pray, pray, man,
- 9:52Speaker 1: Talk to God. Don't make a scene, just talk to God.
- 9:55Speaker 1: All right. Very important.
- 9:57Speaker 7: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning s.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Y'all, ladies and gentlemen, let me have your undivided attention.
- 10:08Speaker 1: The announcement is very similar to the one I made previously.
- 10:12Speaker 1: This is a public service announcement to make you aware
- 10:14Speaker 1: of the fact that only God can do what has
- 10:18Speaker 1: been done yet again, created another day, giving us another morning,
- 10:24Speaker 1: the rising of a new sun. Man who does that,
- 10:30Speaker 1: he's never late? That sun has always been on time.
- 10:34Speaker 1: He ain't never missed. Of the millions of days that
- 10:39Speaker 1: they can record throughout all through history, it's done, done
- 10:42Speaker 1: the same thing every day. Stop talking to people who
- 10:46Speaker 1: are telling you there is no God because they have
- 10:50Speaker 1: no explanation for what God. What's really going on out here?
- 10:54Speaker 1: It ain't nothing but God. But you know that's a
- 10:56Speaker 1: whole nother story. Somebody said, I'll debate you on that, Steve,
- 11:00Speaker 1: I don't have time for that. I really really don't.
- 11:02Speaker 1: I don't. I don't have time for them. I've seen
- 11:05Speaker 1: all the proof I need and it's not debatable. But
- 11:08Speaker 1: if you have time for that, then go ahead and
- 11:10Speaker 1: join them for a healthy debate. Now that ain't anyway.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Welcome to the riot, y'all. Steve Harvey mortershow Shirley Strawberry
- 11:16Speaker 1: Collin for real Mississippi Monica, who don't want to be
- 11:20Speaker 1: that no more? Look, Junior and the legend that is
- 11:23Speaker 1: Nephew Tommy. Sorry Monica, We're gonna just call you Monica
- 11:27Speaker 1: from now on. She don't want to be Mississippi Monica
- 11:29Speaker 1: no more anyway, JUNRPPI you know well what I've always known.
- 11:36Speaker 1: But you know, I mean to take people sometime their
- 11:38Speaker 1: whole life to come to the conclusion. Yeah. I saw
- 11:41Speaker 1: the movie Mississippi Burn, and that was it for me.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Man I knew, I know his sholder row I was. Yeah,
- 11:47Speaker 1: I was a little done with Mississippi. But then you
- 11:49Speaker 1: know what, Greg Calhoun took me to Waverley, Mississippi and
- 11:53Speaker 1: changed my mind about Mississippi. He really really did. And
- 11:58Speaker 1: I have really, really met some fine people from the
- 12:02Speaker 1: state of Mississippi. But in my comedy career, I have
- 12:05Speaker 1: been in no more fights than I have in Mississippi,
- 12:09Speaker 1: Hattiesburg and Meridian, just banging for my check. Let's go
- 12:12Speaker 1: to work, Steve talking about I forgave you, but the
- 12:16Speaker 1: memory still fresh? Yes, yes, go ahead, Junior's on your
- 12:22Speaker 1: mind to day.
- 12:22Speaker 8: Br Let me ask you a question, because I know
- 12:25Speaker 8: you got a lot of this before, But how do
- 12:27Speaker 8: you approach taking criticism from people?
- 12:30Speaker 1: How do you deal with it? And how we should
- 12:32Speaker 1: look at criticism from other people. Well, the number one
- 12:35Speaker 1: rule I have for criticism is that, and I've adapted
- 12:39Speaker 1: this over the past two years. I don't take criticism
- 12:42Speaker 1: from people. I don't take advice from And I just
- 12:46Speaker 1: started this a couple of years ago. I do not
- 12:49Speaker 1: take criticism from people. I don't take advice from You know,
- 12:54Speaker 1: I was, I was. Somebody posted something on me yesterday.
- 12:57Speaker 1: I was reading the post. It was a legitimate post,
- 13:01Speaker 1: and I was reading the comments, Man, thank your fire,
- 13:04Speaker 1: inspirational blah blah blah blah blah, and it's somebody just
- 13:08Speaker 1: out of nowhere made a negative statement about me that
- 13:11Speaker 1: pertained to nothing to do with the article. Do you
- 13:16Speaker 1: know people just troll to say negative stuff and I
- 13:20Speaker 1: just read on through it.
- 13:20Speaker 5: Now.
- 13:21Speaker 1: That used to make me want to look them up
- 13:22Speaker 1: and see who they are. But they all have private
- 13:24Speaker 1: accounts because they're cowards. All of them have private accounts.
- 13:27Speaker 1: When you go to check somebody, they're uncheckable. So I'm fine.
- 13:31Speaker 7: I don't care, all right, Welcome to the Steve Harvey

- 17:05Speaker 6: allow them to be buzzed up. That's the rules here
- 17:07Speaker 6: of the building. So we definitely didn't do anything here.

- 18:14Speaker 13: What is your problem?
- 18:17Speaker 11: You got videos availings, right?
- 18:19Speaker 13: You got video footage of everybody that comes in and
- 18:20Speaker 13: out of the.
- 18:21Speaker 6: Building, right, yes, sir, but you know if nothing occurs,
- 18:25Speaker 6: we I think we should have footage that goes back
- 18:27Speaker 6: at least two weeks, so we should be able to
- 18:30Speaker 6: pull some things up for you.
- 18:31Speaker 5: Sir.
- 18:31Speaker 12: Yeah, I'm gonna need you to get that. And I
- 18:33Speaker 12: need to hit over to me right now. I'm at

- 19:14Speaker 6: Okay, Well, well you know you're saying I have a problem.
- 19:17Speaker 6: Maybe you have a problem pleasing your wife and that's
- 19:19Speaker 6: why she's buzzing other people.
- 19:22Speaker 13: Oh you talking to me like that.
- 19:24Speaker 6: You're you're being respectful to me as well, sir.
- 19:29Speaker 13: No, no, no, no, the disrespectful is you coming? And
- 19:32Speaker 13: then people come up to my buildings that you know
- 19:34Speaker 13: is now.
- 19:34Speaker 6: I haven't let anybody up here. I can't stop your
- 19:37Speaker 6: wife from doing what she's doing.
- 19:38Speaker 11: You don't forget what you're taking.
- 19:41Speaker 6: Taking out on me what you should be saying to
- 19:43Speaker 6: your wife. Somebody has got to dress up all the
- 19:45Speaker 6: time and always buzzing somebody up to the room when
- 19:48Speaker 6: you're gone.
- 19:49Speaker 11: That's what you me to the door man.

- 20:05Speaker 5: You're not.
- 20:06Speaker 6: You're not handling your business at home. That's why she
- 20:08Speaker 6: keeps buzzing people off. Sir.
- 20:10Speaker 11: You know what what the business I'm a handle when
- 20:12Speaker 11: I get home today?
- 20:12Speaker 6: Is show my, man, your your wife has been Sir,

- 22:17Speaker 7: on the privit for podcast. You were on the Pivot podcast.
- 22:21Speaker 7: Like I said, you discussed your relationship, your bond with
- 22:24Speaker 7: your dad, with your family, your career, you talked about
- 22:27Speaker 7: Lori's dating life. So you're trending now. We'll talk about
- 22:32Speaker 7: that and other entertainment news, sports media, personality, money Quorum
- 22:38Speaker 7: is leaving ESPN's first take. We'll talk about all of
- 22:41Speaker 7: these stories at the top of the hour, but right
- 22:44Speaker 7: now it's time to ask the COLO, our chief love Officer,
- 22:49Speaker 7: Steve Harvey in the building. All right, this is from
- 22:54Speaker 7: Don and Holly Springs. Don writes, my husband told me
- 22:58Speaker 7: in Mississippi. Yes, my husband told me that he's going
- 23:04Speaker 7: to his twenty fifth high school class reunion, and he
- 23:07Speaker 7: already booked a flight. He never books his own flights
- 23:10Speaker 7: or reserves his own hotel rooms. Should I surprise him
- 23:14Speaker 7: at the last minute and tell him I'm going too?
- 23:17Speaker 5: What?
- 23:18Speaker 1: No? No, No, you shouldn't. And you know what, you
- 23:22Speaker 1: know why he did all that because it's his twenty
- 23:25Speaker 1: five year reunion. He didn't know you then you didn't
- 23:28Speaker 1: go to the school, and you don't want to look,
- 23:30Speaker 1: he don't know nobody. What he wants to do is
- 23:32Speaker 1: be able to go there.
- 23:33Speaker 5: Laugh.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Lie. He want to do it freely. He got you. Yeah,
- 23:39Speaker 1: that's what this is for twenty five year Oh yeah,
- 23:43Speaker 1: he booked his ticket, got his room, everything. A couple
- 23:46Speaker 1: of boys gonna be there, they gonna get some cigars,
- 23:49Speaker 1: they're gonna be talking straight trash. No, you shouldn't surprise him.
- 23:53Speaker 1: You should just let him have that moment. The man
- 23:55Speaker 1: ain't cheating with nobody. He just want to go and
- 23:58Speaker 1: have some me time. And I thought, I think you
- 24:00Speaker 1: ought to let him have that. No, don't go and
- 24:02Speaker 1: surprise him, because that that ain't cool. You're not going
- 24:07Speaker 1: to surprise him. You're going to check on him. So
- 24:10Speaker 1: we'll stop calling surprise sure.
- 24:13Speaker 7: Yeah, did you to your by the way, did you
- 24:16Speaker 7: go to your Hi.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Twentieth? You're oh, how was that one? As as a
- 24:25Speaker 1: complete failure? Nothing had gone right? Frost not look at
- 24:32Speaker 1: me now, Yeah, I had that wall to wall carpet
- 24:37Speaker 1: business card. But't nobody go out in the parking lot
- 24:41Speaker 1: and look at my car because the machine was in
- 24:43Speaker 1: my back seat. So I'm still there. Nobody went out
- 24:45Speaker 1: to all right, all right? My car was my van? Okay.
- 24:52Speaker 7: Moving on to Caleb and Edgewater, Caleb writes, I want
- 24:55Speaker 7: another baby, and my wife uses our two year old
- 24:58Speaker 7: son to keep us from having sex. If I put
- 25:02Speaker 7: my son in his own bed, she goes to get
- 25:04Speaker 7: him and brings him to our bed. She thinks, I
- 25:07Speaker 7: don't know what she's doing. How do I get our
- 25:10Speaker 7: kid out of our bed?
- 25:12Speaker 1: No, it ain't getting your kid out your bed. How
- 25:15Speaker 1: do you get your wife to have sex with you?
- 25:17Speaker 1: That's it's not get your kid out the bed. See
- 25:20Speaker 1: bru listen to me. If if she don't, If you don't,
- 25:23Speaker 1: whether the kid is in the bed or not, she
- 25:25Speaker 1: don't want to have sex with you. That's a problem.
- 25:29Speaker 7: She don't want no baby because she doesn't want a baby.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Yeah, so now, man, what y'all and and does he
- 25:35Speaker 1: say he wants a baby? Oh yeah, he wants another baby. Well,
- 25:39Speaker 1: see bro, see bru, listen to me that having a
- 25:43Speaker 1: baby thing. That decision is not yours, That decision is hers.
- 25:49Speaker 1: I thought it was a joint decision.
- 25:51Speaker 7: I mean if.
- 25:54Speaker 1: She say no, the factory, the manufactory, yeah, love, the
- 26:01Speaker 1: product is closed. Now you won't know one if you
- 26:04Speaker 1: want to. But see, they only make them one at
- 26:07Speaker 1: a time, and they are factory produced. And the only
- 26:12Speaker 1: one that can do that is of the female species.
- 26:16Speaker 1: Now if y'all, if you want a baby and she don't,
- 26:19Speaker 1: but you still want to have sex, then y'all got
- 26:22Speaker 1: to have protected sex. Yeah, you gotta have some type
- 26:25Speaker 1: of contraceptive measure other than that, bro, the baby coming
- 26:30Speaker 1: to bed?
- 26:31Speaker 7: Yeah yeah, maybe she's saying not right now, maybe later.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, well, what they need to do is communicate
- 26:38Speaker 1: that they need to have a real talk about absolutely
- 26:40Speaker 1: you're right, all right.
- 26:42Speaker 7: Moving on colo to Lynn and Grand Prairie, Lynn writes,
- 26:46Speaker 7: my neighbors sent around a video of his wife sneaking
- 26:49Speaker 7: another man into their home. A lot of neighbors saw
- 26:53Speaker 7: it and started, just wait, wait.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Wait, wait, wait wait oh wit sai so a neighbor's wife.
- 26:58Speaker 1: This is a guy here? Yeah?
- 27:00Speaker 7: Uh now, this is a woman talking. Her name is
- 27:02Speaker 7: Lynn and Grand Prairie. She says, her neighbors sent around
- 27:05Speaker 7: a video of his wife sneaking. Another man got it
- 27:11Speaker 7: A lot a lot of neighbors saw it and started
- 27:13Speaker 7: judging her. She can use a friend, But my husband
- 27:17Speaker 7: said I shouldn't associate with her. Should I call to
- 27:20Speaker 7: check on her?
- 27:22Speaker 1: Yeah? You should, you should because she going through it? Yeah,
- 27:25Speaker 1: but what why Maybe he's one of them? But see,
- 27:34Speaker 1: but see here, do this weak husband who wants to
- 27:37Speaker 1: have this community joint punishment set up. I'm gonna show
- 27:43Speaker 1: all the neighbors who you are. Well bruh, that's that's
- 27:47Speaker 1: your idea of solution. That was weak for him to
- 27:51Speaker 1: do that. But you should check on her and listen
- 27:54Speaker 1: to me. Man, all of us have friends who have
- 27:56Speaker 1: made a mistake. I am a friend of people, and
- 27:59Speaker 1: I have made mistakes. I don't want my friends walking
- 28:03Speaker 1: away from me because I made a mistake. So why
- 28:06Speaker 1: would you ask a man not to show compassion for somebody? Yeah,
- 28:11Speaker 1: check on the lady. See if she okay? This could
- 28:14Speaker 1: be crazy. Yeah, really, look at that weak mand right there,
- 28:21Speaker 1: because he will her husband then a video of her
- 28:28Speaker 1: sneak sneaking a man, and boy, you know, did you
- 28:32Speaker 1: know it's gonna happen before I send the video? We're
- 28:35Speaker 1: gonna have a police video. But when that video, yeah,
- 28:39Speaker 1: why do the neighbors need to know that what's going on?
- 28:43Speaker 1: We're gonna have some bodycam footage, but we not have
- 28:45Speaker 1: the dopebell footage, yellow tape.
- 28:51Speaker 7: All right, last one, This is the last one. This
- 28:55Speaker 7: is from Edmund and Charlotte. Edmund and Charlotte. Edmond writes,
- 28:59Speaker 7: I usually stop on my way home from work to
- 29:02Speaker 7: get a cup of coffee and just chill for a minute.
- 29:05Speaker 7: My wife thinks that it's because I hate coming home.
- 29:09Speaker 7: That's not true at all. I can't have a moment
- 29:11Speaker 7: to myself after a long day. Why is this a
- 29:14Speaker 7: big problem?
- 29:16Speaker 1: I know you can speak to this one. You always
- 29:19Speaker 1: take time. I'm going to tell you something. Everybody needs
- 29:24Speaker 1: some me time sometimes you just cause listen to me.
- 29:26Speaker 1: When he go when he comes to the door, he
- 29:28Speaker 1: gotta start being something else. And ladies need the same meantime.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Absolutely absolutely, And we got to understand that on both sides.
- 29:39Speaker 1: It's women being with them kids all day and then
- 29:41Speaker 1: you come home and want her to be something else.
- 29:43Speaker 1: She might need a minute, man, you know. And so
- 29:47Speaker 1: this guy been at work all day, he can't stand
- 29:51Speaker 1: coming home. He just need a minute.
- 29:54Speaker 7: Yeah, that's all he do is get a cup of
- 29:57Speaker 7: coffee and chill for a minute.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Hey, let me tell you something. Yeah, in in my
- 30:03Speaker 1: previous life, uh huh, I've sat outside in my car
- 30:08Speaker 1: two three, four hours before. I wouldn't now, but it's
- 30:12Speaker 1: time to shut it down. Dad's hating to go home,
- 30:18Speaker 1: That's what anyway you got, all right, Yeah, I wasn't
- 30:21Speaker 1: out there drinking coffee. I was out there considering coming
- 30:24Speaker 1: at the holidays. Up at the top of the hour,
- 30:27Speaker 1: I called a homie trying to buy some myth. You know,
- 30:29Speaker 1: I was out.
- 30:30Speaker 15: There trying to Right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey
- 30:35Speaker 15: Morning Show. All right, So, Steve, you were recently a
- 30:42Speaker 15: guest on the Pivot podcast with Ryan Clark, and you
- 30:45Speaker 15: talked about your dad. You talked about your family and
- 30:48Speaker 15: even your daughter, Laurie. Uh, Laurie's dating life. So take
- 30:52Speaker 15: a listen. Hear yourself talking about the bond with your father.
- 30:56Speaker 1: Dad, you should call me so proud. And when he died, man,
- 31:05Speaker 1: nobody said that to me. No more nobody and it's
- 31:09Speaker 1: kind of crazy. Man. Until I married Marjorie, nobody said
- 31:13Speaker 1: they was proud of me. So losing. That's what the
- 31:18Speaker 1: part for me was with him. He came to all
- 31:21Speaker 1: my should lon after flying out. My mother never saw
- 31:25Speaker 1: me because she she ain't want to hear me cussing,
- 31:29Speaker 1: So my mother never saw me. My dad, even if
- 31:32Speaker 1: the show was sold out, I'd make him take a
- 31:34Speaker 1: fold aweight chair and pop it up for him and
- 31:36Speaker 1: my brother. My dad would sit down there, and he
- 31:40Speaker 1: was sitting next to this lady. One time she said, oh, well,
- 31:42Speaker 1: you must be special Surtay to put a fold aweight
- 31:45Speaker 1: chair in there. He said, yeah, you know that boy
- 31:49Speaker 1: that fit they come out here, Steve Harvey, that's my son.
- 31:53Speaker 1: All he didn't hear them paid to see this boy
- 31:55Speaker 1: right here. And my father was, damn man, a beautiful.
- 32:03Speaker 7: Yeah you're not gonna do it.
- 32:12Speaker 1: Yeah, you know. I had several moments that I didn't
- 32:17Speaker 1: know it was out yet. I had several moments and
- 32:20Speaker 1: the reason I did the Pivot podcast, which I don't
- 32:23Speaker 1: do a lot is because of Ryan Clark. And the
- 32:28Speaker 1: reason I did it was because I saw a podcast
- 32:31Speaker 1: clip of him interviewing this uh, that guy that played
- 32:34Speaker 1: safety or cornerback for l s U. And he had
- 32:37Speaker 1: had a brain tumor and a and a and an
- 32:40Speaker 1: operation and he was on there speaking. You know, his
- 32:43Speaker 1: speech is slurred and everything. And when he got through
- 32:46Speaker 1: talking Ryan interviewing, when the young dude got up and
- 32:48Speaker 1: walked off, Ryan Clark broke down crying, and he conducted
- 32:53Speaker 1: the interview with class, grace and dignity, But as soon
- 32:56Speaker 1: as that young boy got him walked off, he just
- 32:58Speaker 1: broke down crime. I said, see, that's a real dude.
- 33:01Speaker 1: And I watched this podcast and it's such a place
- 33:05Speaker 1: where I've seen men go on it and are able
- 33:08Speaker 1: to be open it and not they don't do that
- 33:11Speaker 1: gossipy and that and that. And now you know, they
- 33:14Speaker 1: may ask you a question about something, but you see,
- 33:17Speaker 1: you can see they're not trying them provoke that mess
- 33:21Speaker 1: on their show. So that's why I did the show.
- 33:24Speaker 1: I just hope what I said about Lorie's dating life,
- 33:29Speaker 1: I hope that go good, because Lord shall be in
- 33:32Speaker 1: my behind it well, let's hear it. Let's hear it.
- 33:35Speaker 1: What do you mean, Let's hear what you said?
- 33:38Speaker 7: Yeah, let's hear what you said.
- 33:40Speaker 1: See, I gotta be real careful because Lourie boy, she'd
- 33:43Speaker 1: even in my I can't make no mistakes. I can't
- 33:47Speaker 1: make sense. I saw one of asks somewhere the game, somewhere,
- 33:51Speaker 1: and I shook his hand. Boy, I can't even touch
- 33:53Speaker 1: it no more. I bet not acknowledge him to look
- 33:56Speaker 1: at him or nothing, no more. So I'm I'm off
- 33:59Speaker 1: limits where if you're an ex, yo, this is my ex.
- 34:03Speaker 1: That's the rule in our house. Is any boy that's
- 34:06Speaker 1: an X, he's now my ex too. That was good.
- 34:11Speaker 1: That's real. That's real talk. Because boy, let me tell
- 34:16Speaker 1: you something. Boy, I got in trouble for that one
- 34:19Speaker 1: right there. What I'm supposed to do though, you know,
- 34:22Speaker 1: we out the country at a basketball game. I saw
- 34:25Speaker 1: the dude. You know, he didn't he didn't break the
- 34:29Speaker 1: car and the rule, you know, nothing like that. So
- 34:32Speaker 1: you know, I just thought they was they they ain't
- 34:34Speaker 1: make it. So when I saw him, you know, we
- 34:36Speaker 1: had a basketball game, it was up, bro, how you doing?
- 34:38Speaker 1: Hold up? The boy got talking?
- 34:41Speaker 10: That went on? Lord, lord, I didn't know. I was all, oh,
- 34:47Speaker 10: so you just out here shaking hands, that's what yeah, man,
- 34:50Speaker 10: And my wife was trying to get me to understand it.
- 34:52Speaker 1: But I just want your enemy. I didn't know the
- 34:56Speaker 1: rule yet. I didn't know the rule yet, all you. Yeah,
- 35:00Speaker 1: I didn't know the rule. Na I know the rule.
- 35:02Speaker 1: Let me see you somewhere else. What are you gonna do?
- 35:06Speaker 1: Play the week? Oh and least at least at least
- 35:14Speaker 1: that's horrible. Yeah, and got to try to spit on it.
- 35:21Speaker 1: Play it all all right?
- 35:22Speaker 2: Moving on?
- 35:24Speaker 7: Uh Crazy Molly Querum, hosts of ESPN's First Take, announced
- 35:29Speaker 7: that she is leaving the show. You guys heard about this, uh.
- 35:33Speaker 7: In a statement, Molly said, in part quote, after much reflection,
- 35:36Speaker 7: I've decided it's time to close this incredible chapter and
- 35:39Speaker 7: step away from First Take. Hosting the show has been
- 35:42Speaker 7: one of the greatest honors of my career. Every morning,
- 35:45Speaker 7: I had the privilege of sharing the desk with some
- 35:47Speaker 7: of the most brilliant, passionate, and entertaining voices in sports.
- 35:52Speaker 7: And one of those, of course, is Stephen A. Smith,
- 35:55Speaker 7: who said his friend Molly hosted First Take for ten
- 35:57Speaker 7: years and elevated the show with grace, expertise, and incomparable kindness,
- 36:03Speaker 7: and we'll miss her and wish her every blessing on
- 36:06Speaker 7: her future.
- 36:08Speaker 1: Said, yeah, why do you think she's leaving? Or yeah,
- 36:12Speaker 1: like what was she leaving? She said it?
- 36:16Speaker 16: Yeah, And I read different reports that they did offer
- 36:18Speaker 16: her a contract. I don't know if that's true, but
- 36:22Speaker 16: I did read that that she was just ready to
- 36:23Speaker 16: move on to another chapter.
- 36:25Speaker 1: She'dne had enough. Stephen, what you think?
- 36:32Speaker 5: Just kidding?
- 36:32Speaker 1: I don't know, Hell, no, that's not it. Probably, I
- 36:40Speaker 1: don't know, you know, yeah, I know she she carried
- 36:45Speaker 1: that show really well with keeping some order to it,
- 36:51Speaker 1: so you know.
- 36:53Speaker 17: Yes' man, that's crazy.
- 36:58Speaker 10: They're gonna need somebody else a nice life.
- 37:03Speaker 1: All right?
- 37:03Speaker 7: Well, well, he of course, coming up a twenty minutes
- 37:07Speaker 7: after the hour, there is a sex recession in America.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Did you guys know this we've been going through? Well,
- 37:17Speaker 1: why y'all just not reporting that.
- 37:21Speaker 7: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 38:00Speaker 7: NBC has suspended late night host Jimmy Kimmel. They've suspended
- 38:04Speaker 7: him indefinitely and pulled his show off the air on Monday.
- 38:10Speaker 7: Kimmel said during his monologue, quote, we hit some new
- 38:12Speaker 7: lows over the weekend with the Maga gang desperately trying
- 38:16Speaker 7: to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything
- 38:20Speaker 7: other than one of them, with everything they can to
- 38:24Speaker 7: score political points from it.
- 38:27Speaker 1: Now, that's what Kimmel said.
- 38:29Speaker 7: Next to Our Media Group, which owned numerous ABC affiliates,
- 38:33Speaker 7: said that it would stop airing Jimmy Kimmel Live in
- 38:35Speaker 7: response to those comments. After that, ABC announced that the
- 38:39Speaker 7: show has been put on hiatus. A source TELLCNBC that
- 38:43Speaker 7: Kimmel has not been fired and that Disney plans to
- 38:47Speaker 7: discuss with him what he should say when he goes
- 38:50Speaker 7: back on the air, and Deadline reports that Kimmel had
- 38:54Speaker 7: planned to discuss his comments tonight before ABC pulled the plug.
- 39:00Speaker 7: There's no word on when the show will resume. He's
- 39:02Speaker 7: been suspended indefinitely.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Star. Yeah. And it was also for the joke part
- 39:11Speaker 1: that he asked when the people were in the outside
- 39:14Speaker 1: the White House and asked President Trump how he was doing,
- 39:18Speaker 1: you know, over the last few days and you know,
- 39:21Speaker 1: the relationship with Kirk, how was he doing? And they said, yeah,
- 39:24Speaker 1: I'm fine. But as you can see, we're over here
- 39:26Speaker 1: building a beautiful ballroom. Uh that's been They've been trying

- 39:38Speaker 1: what he said. Why this man is suspended. It reeks
- 39:44Speaker 1: with uh a movement. You know. We look, we've always

- 39:52Speaker 1: He don't like No Late Night show because it's stemmed
- 39:54Speaker 1: out of Hollywood, and most Hollywood people are you know,

- 40:04Speaker 1: and they've made jokes about every president ever been in office,
- 40:09Speaker 1: you know, from all the way from Bush spelling potato.
- 40:12Speaker 1: They did jokes about Obama. It comes with territory, but
- 40:15Speaker 1: he has incredibly thin skin. And the guy in the
- 40:19Speaker 1: FCC that started this funeral and you know, ended up saying,
- 40:23Speaker 1: you know, hey, look, we can do this the easy
- 40:25Speaker 1: way or the hard way, referring to somebody needs to
- 40:28Speaker 1: do something. And then ABC did it the easy way.

- 40:37Speaker 1: this is for us. Yes, that's what I'm getting it.
- 40:41Speaker 1: That's my next question. What does this mean? You have
- 40:44Speaker 1: to be mindful now, ain't no need to talk about No, No,
- 40:46Speaker 1: you can't be no coward. No, you gotta be smart.
- 40:49Speaker 1: It's not about being a coward. It's being smart because
- 40:53Speaker 1: I'm not gonna throw my career out the window so
- 40:57Speaker 1: I can say something cute by Trump. You know, it
- 41:02Speaker 1: ain't worked that to me. Okay, you know, And this

- 56:51Speaker 7: Subject to My husband has run out of options. Dear
- 56:55Speaker 7: Stephen Shirley. My marriage may look perfect now, but it
- 56:59Speaker 7: hasn't always.
- 57:00Speaker 1: He's been like this.
- 57:01Speaker 7: I got married when I was twenty seven and my
- 57:03Speaker 7: husband was thirty six. He and two other guys owned
- 57:07Speaker 7: a club, and he'd be there every night and come
- 57:10Speaker 7: home after two am, even during the week. He didn't
- 57:13Speaker 7: allow me to go out with him. After we got married,
- 57:16Speaker 7: and even though we met at his nightclub and we
- 57:18Speaker 7: had sex for the first time at his club, he
- 57:21Speaker 7: was hardly ever home and we weren't having sex but
- 57:24Speaker 7: once or twice a month. I used to smell the
- 57:27Speaker 7: other women on him when he got home, and he
- 57:29Speaker 7: didn't even have the decency to take a shower before
- 57:32Speaker 7: he got into bed. I practically raised our two children alone.
- 57:37Speaker 7: He took care of us all financially, and that meant
- 57:40Speaker 7: that I couldn't question him about anything. Then when the
- 57:44Speaker 7: club burned in twenty eighteen, things shifted because he had
- 57:49Speaker 7: to get a job. He got fired a lot because
- 57:51Speaker 7: of his drinking, so me and the kids would do
- 57:54Speaker 7: our best to avoid him. During the pandemic, he started
- 57:57Speaker 7: reading the Bible and he stopped drinking. He was able
- 58:01Speaker 7: to get a job, to keep a job, and we
- 58:04Speaker 7: started having sex again. Up until May of this year,
- 58:07Speaker 7: our marriage was so much better and we're having a
- 58:10Speaker 7: lot of sex. Then a light bulb went off in
- 58:13Speaker 7: my head. I feel like my husband only wants me
- 58:16Speaker 7: because he's getting older, he's slightly overweight, and we live
- 58:20Speaker 7: paycheck to paycheck. No other woman would want him, so
- 58:24Speaker 7: I'm all he's got. Now, he's all out of options.
- 58:27Speaker 7: I've been thinking about divorcing him so he can see
- 58:30Speaker 7: how it feels to be alone. Please help now if
- 58:34Speaker 7: you're thinking about divorcing him, because so he can see
- 58:36Speaker 7: how it feels to be alone. That's really a stupid reason.
- 58:40Speaker 7: To get divorced. I mean, why would you play like
- 58:42Speaker 7: that with something so serious. You stayed with him through
- 58:45Speaker 7: all the bad times, and now that he's changed, you
- 58:48Speaker 7: want revenge.
- 58:49Speaker 1: I mean, you didn't think.
- 58:51Speaker 7: Divorce when he came home smelling like other women and
- 58:54Speaker 7: you know, got in the bed with you without showering
- 58:57Speaker 7: all of that. How about the fact that he hardly
- 59:00Speaker 7: ever came home, you said, And what about the fact
- 59:02Speaker 7: that you had to raise the kids, two kids practically
- 59:05Speaker 7: by yourself. All of that that didn't cause you to
- 59:08Speaker 7: think divorce. You're either there now because you're committed to
- 59:12Speaker 7: the marriage and you love him and you want to
- 59:14Speaker 7: make it work, or you want a divorce because you
- 59:16Speaker 7: don't love him anymore and want you want to move on,
- 59:20Speaker 7: but you just want to get back at him. It
- 59:22Speaker 7: sounds like, do you want to be married to him
- 59:24Speaker 7: or not?
- 59:25Speaker 6: To me?
- 59:25Speaker 7: That's the question, Steve.
- 59:29Speaker 1: My husband has run out of options. Okay, well, let's
- 59:35Speaker 1: look at just a different way. I got married when
- 59:38Speaker 1: I was twenty seven. Your marriage. You say, your marriage
- 59:41Speaker 1: may look perfect now, and it hasn't always been like this.
- 59:45Speaker 1: So I'm in that statement right there. It says to
- 59:50Speaker 1: me that there's been an improvement. That's what that statement say.
- 59:54Speaker 1: You got married when he was twenty seven, your hos
- 59:56Speaker 1: with thirty six okay here and two other guys on
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: the club. He was there every night, come home at
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: two am during the week. He didn't allow me to
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: go out with him after we got married, even though
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: we met at his nightclub and we had sex for
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: the first time at his club. Okay, okay, appreciate that information.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: He was hardly ever home and we weren't having sex
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: but once or twice a month. I used to smell
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: the other women on him when he got home, and
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: he ain't even have the decency to take a shower
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: before he got into bed. Well, he just got in
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: from the club. He had sex down there. You just
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: he had sex down at the club. Ain't that where
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: you had sex with him? Atter for the first time
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: at the club. Anyway, I practically raised our two children alone.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: He took care of us financially. That meant I couldn't
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: question him about anything. Well, he told you that. He
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: told you, Hey, hey, I'm taking care of you. I
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: pay these bills. I'm gonna be asking me about my work.
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: I'm out here providing making it and then you accepted that.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: Then when the club burned down in twenty eighteen, things
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: shifted because he had to get a job. He got
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: fired a lot because of his drinking. Well, now what
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: you see, when you got a club, part of the
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: club's revenue is not just the tickets at the door.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: It's alcohol. That's the revenue at the club. So anyway,
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: you know, now he can't hold a job because he's drinking.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: So me and the kids would do our best to
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: avoid him. Oh, he wanted them loud, drunk people. Okay,
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: I see, y'all't even want to talk to him. During
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: the pandemic, he started reading his Bible. Okay, here's where
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: the shift comes. He was able to keep a job
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: and we started having sex again. Up until May of
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: this year, our marriage was so much better and we
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: were having a lot of sex. Jack Pott. Then a
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: light bub went off your head. We're gonna talk about
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: that in a minute. The light bulb went off on
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: your head. And I feel like my husband only wants
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: me because he's getting older. He's forty seven, forty three now,
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: he's slightly overweight, and we live paycheck to paycheck. No
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: other woman would want him, so I'm all he's got.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: Now he's all out of options. I've been thinking about
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: divorcing him so he can see how it feels to
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: be alone. Please help lady. When did you come to
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: the divorce at Like Shirley said, Now, you wasn't talking
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: about the divorce when he was sleeping with all the
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: women at the club, coming home smelling like other women
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: without the decen seed shower. Now he'dne read his Bible,
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: turned his life around, got himself, got fat. Hang on
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: having a lot of sick, Well, you have lost sick
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: with fed dud. Hang hang on, Steve.
- 1:03:04Speaker 7: We'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 1:03:07Speaker 7: twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry letter subject
- 1:03:10Speaker 7: my husband has run out of options. We'll get back
- 1:03:14Speaker 7: into it right after this. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:03:17Speaker 7: Harvey Morning Show. Hey everyone, quick health question. Even though
- 1:03:26Speaker 7: you're still thriving, still loving, still connecting, did you know
- 1:03:30Speaker 7: your immune system weakens with age. That's where vaccines come in.
- 1:03:33Speaker 7: They help train and strengthen your immune response to fight
- 1:03:36Speaker 7: off certain respiratory illnesses like flu, new macacle pneumonia, RSV,
- 1:03:41Speaker 7: and COVID nineteen this fall, ask your doctor which vaccines
- 1:03:45Speaker 7: you need, and visit vaxsist dot com. That's vaexsist dot
- 1:03:49Speaker 7: com to schedule one or more of vaccines sponsored by Pfizer.
- 1:03:54Speaker 7: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:03:56Speaker 7: The subject is my husband has run out of option.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: I don't think this letter is about your husband running
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: out of options. I think that you've come to a really,
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: really crazy conclusion. They were married, that he was a
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: club on him. They met at a club. The first
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: time they had sex was at a club. They got married,
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: they got two kids. He won't take her out with
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: him nowhere, especially to the club. And when he comes
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: home at night, you can smell other women on him,
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: and he don't have a d C shower. He just
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: get into bed. And then the club burned down. In
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: twenty eighteen, things shifted because he had to get a job.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: He couldn't keep a job because he drank a lot,
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: because you know, he picked up that habit down at
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: the club, and so you and the kids tried your
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: best to avoid him. Then the pandemic hit. He started
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: reading his Bible and stopped drinking. He was able to
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: keep a job. We started having sex again. Up until
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: mayor this year, marriage was a lot better and we
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: started having a lot of sex. Then a light bulb
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: went off in my head. This is the light bulb.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: A light bulb went off in my head. I feel
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: like my husband only wants me because he's getting older,
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: he's slightly overweighting. We little paycheck to paycheck, and no
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: other woman will want him. Well, I think the light
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: bulb that went off in your head was satan. See,
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: you prayed for God to fix something. Then you want
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: God to fix it your way. Well he fixed it.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: Your man come home. Now, your man read the Bible,
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: y'all back to having sex. He got a job, he
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: stopped drinking, he done gained a little bit of weight.
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: And you said your marriage shifted and was going fine.
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: But then a light bulb went off in your head.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: We didn't turn that light off. You need to overhit
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: the switch. You need to cut the switch off because
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: that's crazy to get what you want and then talk
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: yourself out of a blessing. I've never seen nothing like that.
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: Before you asked God to fix it, You've been probably
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: praying about this or it turned around in your favor.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: Now you're looking at it, and now you want to
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: kick the blessing. So I'm all he's got Now, ain't
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: that what you want?
- 1:06:17Speaker 7: It?
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: He's all out of options. Ain't that what you wanted?
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: I've been thinking about divorcing him because so he can
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: see how it feels to be alone. Please help. Okay,
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: when you get a divorce in here alone, let me
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: ask you a question. Ain't you gonna be alone?
- 1:06:35Speaker 6: Too?
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: Because let me explain to you your options. You are
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: now back out here on this market of dating, this
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: dating market, the post pandemic market, and this is a
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: rough one, and you need to ask some women that's
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: out here. This is a rough one. And you going
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: out here and you ain't got no dating experience because
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: YO met your husband at a club and first time
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: y'all had sex was at the club. Now you got
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: two kids. You want to enter the dating market with that.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: And now your man is at home, y'all having plenty
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: of sex. Now, okay, he done got chunky. We could
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: fix that. You ain't even got to get a gym
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: membership to fix that. You could fix that. He come
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: home every day, he'd start reading his Bible. You know what? What? What?
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: Let me ask you a question. You ain't gained no
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: weight when you had your kids. You ain't pick up
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: no pounds. A lot of women do, and that and
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: that and that baby, Wait, look good on a lot
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: of women. Do you know? It's a badge of honor.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: I like him, and you're a boy. I like him.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: Now you probably ain't the same as you used to be,
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: but he'dne managed to come home. Maybe he just said, hey,
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: let me get on to the house and match up.
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: Let me go, and you gained some weight, let me go,
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: get a little weight on it, and that's it, and
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: you got a good husband. Right now, now you're talking
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: about divorcity so he can feel like what it feels
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: to be alone. Where you get this revenge moving from?
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: I don't understand interjecting the revenge into it, because right
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: now you're not saying the only problem y'all have is
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: y'all live in paycheck to paycheck. That's the grind of life.
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: That's the grind of life. What are you talking about?
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: You don't understand that you have a paycheck that gets
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: you to the next paycheck. You don't see that, so
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: you gonna throw that out the window. You don't see
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: that he ain't drinking no more, so you gonna throw
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: that out the winter. You don't see that the man
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: come home and y'all now having a lot of six,
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: you wanna throw that out the winter? Now you gotta
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: figure it out. I've been thinking about divorce here because
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: ain't no other woman. But won't help. Oh, hol that way,
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: you're wrong at thom Oh, that's where you're wrong. There's
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: a lot of women sign up for or smoking the bell.
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: The whole lot of them got a job, come home
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: at night, have a lot of sex. Yeah, so, lady,
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: I don't know why you want to throat get kick
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: the blessing out the house, but I would not recommend that.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: Why don't you get this revengeful spirit out of your mind?
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: If you've forgiven him for all the nights he came
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: in and slept with you, after he slept with all
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: these women that didn't shower, you can't see the blessing
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: you have now? Are you kidding me? Oh? Wait a minute,
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: what did I just do? Did I defend a man
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: in the Strawberry letter? Oh my god, it is the
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: man from Richmond, Virginia listening. I'm sorry he's stupid. Divorce
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: him leave him. He's nothing.

- 1:11:07Speaker 8: became the fastest woman in the world with a ten
- 1:11:10Speaker 8: to six one in the one hundred meters. Yes, she
- 1:11:14Speaker 8: has the title fastest woman in the world. Melissa Jefferson Wooden.
- 1:11:18Speaker 8: We can't wait for these Olympics now.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: I'm talking about But she put it on everybody, everybody
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: she she put it on the Jamaican girls, who I love. Man,
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: let me tell you something. The Jamaican track team has
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: always been my favorite track team of all time. I've
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: always loved Jamaican track team. I ain't hardly ever pulled
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: against them because the Americans used to really aggravate me
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: in the in the fobout your men, yeah baton, Oh,
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: I'd be so mad at them, man. But Jamaica has
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: always been my favorite track team.
- 1:11:54Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. Charkari Richardson was in the final two.
- 1:11:58Speaker 8: She ran a ten to nine four, came in fifth.
- 1:12:01Speaker 8: But but Melissa Jackson will, I mean from start to finish.
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: But that's just because I think Shoe uh sho Chikari
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: just been dealing with a couple of things on the
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: side as usual again, and I think that kept her
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: focus off of it. You know, the whole thing with
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: a boyfriend in the airport. You can't have that stuff
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: going on in the middle of training. You can't have
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: that kind of stuff. Chikai Richardson is still that girl
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: to me. But Phraser Price from Jamaica still forever be
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: that girl on for me. Oh what's my girl from America?
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: Light skinned? Start with an Ah Alison Alison girl boy.
- 1:12:47Speaker 10: I like Gabby the Beast too, Gabby nasty too.
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: I like that light skinned girl to run them hurdles too.
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: She's crazy when I see the picture, but I ain't
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: good with names. Yeah, I got.
- 1:13:05Speaker 8: He's gonna take congratulations of Page Becker's he received Rookie
- 1:13:09Speaker 8: of the Year the w n B A from the
- 1:13:10Speaker 8: Dallas Wings.
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: She got it. It's the funny way, Hoey. I love
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: the way they gave it to it.
- 1:13:14Speaker 8: Did you see on the Jennifer Hudson Show when she
- 1:13:16Speaker 8: got the award coming down the Spirit Tunnel? She went
- 1:13:19Speaker 8: down the Spirit Tunnel dancing at the end of the
- 1:13:20Speaker 8: tunnel they gave her, they gave her award.
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: That that was how she's got nice.
- 1:13:25Speaker 8: On the Jennifer Hudson Show, that's how she got her
- 1:13:27Speaker 8: Rookie award.
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: Hey, I hope h Juju is getting healthy. Yes, I
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: love ju. Yeah, Jimmy Nicks one. Well, let's talk about
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: Bob for the night. You want Dolphin and the Beills.
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: I'm beat in the thousand. You don't never know what's
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: gonna happen. If they're gonna block for too of I'll
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: tell you what you would need to do. Man to
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: would need to wear that padded helmet. Wear it right now? Yeah,
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: all right, he man, you can wear that in the game.
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: That's thank you.
- 1:13:54Speaker 7: Coming up at the top of the hour.
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: Young woman needs to look at that little Marshal on
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: the WB cartoon. But you leap Passilman, Hello leaving.
- 1:14:02Speaker 7: It's so perfect. We'll talk about it right after this.
- 1:14:05Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:14:06Speaker 7: I have heard that you're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 1:14:09Speaker 7: Morning Show. This is from Christine and Steve Harvey FM.
- 1:14:17Speaker 7: She says, my boyfriend is amazing. He's smart, kind, attractive,
- 1:14:21Speaker 7: and he loves me deeply. The problem is I don't
- 1:14:24Speaker 7: feel the same head over Hills way about him. I've
- 1:14:27Speaker 7: been thinking about breaking up, but I can't shake the
- 1:14:30Speaker 7: fear that I'll never do better or find someone who
- 1:14:33Speaker 7: loves me as much as he does. Am I an
- 1:14:35Speaker 7: idiot for even thinking of leaving him? Should I just
- 1:14:39Speaker 7: accept that no relationship is ever perfect and be grateful
- 1:14:42Speaker 7: for what I have?
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: Well, let me ask you someone what's wrong, because you
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: haven't said anything that's wrong, right, she just does. So
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: you sound a lot like the lady that was in
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: our Strawberry letter Together. She got this husband that changed
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: all of his ways, started coming home read by I
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: will stop drinking, got a job, back to having lots
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: of sex. Now she wants to punish him for his
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: past and thinking about divorcing him so he can be alone. Well,
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: you're gonna be alone too, so, young lady, I don't
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: just make yourself a checklist pros and cons. How many
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: blocks does he check on the pro list? How many
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: blocks does he check on the con list? And then
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: you do like you want to? You can get back
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: out here, gone gone out here, because every woman I
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: talk to right now about this dating scene out here
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: today is deeply concerned about it.
- 1:15:33Speaker 7: Yeah, she says, he's kind, smart, attractive, he loves her deeply.
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: She just doesn't feel the same way. Well, okay, tell
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: him that, I'll tell you what, here's what you should do.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: Let's be honest, sit down, tell him that and then
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: let him participate in decision too. Oh oh that's quick. No, really,
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: that will be cool. You wrote the letter, tell him
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: everything you told lost in a letter, and then say hey,
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: look and I want to talk to you about it.
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: What are your thoughts about this? Going to be like?
- 1:16:07Speaker 6: Do this?
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: Those are my thoughts? All right?
- 1:16:12Speaker 7: All right, we have time for another one, Steve. This
- 1:16:14Speaker 7: is from Kira on Steve HARVEFM. Kira says, I'm twenty
- 1:16:18Speaker 7: five and just want it, and I just started what
- 1:16:20Speaker 7: I thought was my dream job as a project coordinator
- 1:16:23Speaker 7: for a creative agency. The hiring manager told me my
- 1:16:26Speaker 7: attitude and energy convinced her to take a chance on me,
- 1:16:30Speaker 7: even though my resume wasn't a perfect fit. Now that
- 1:16:33Speaker 7: I'm here, I'm realizing I don't actually have the skills
- 1:16:37Speaker 7: that most of my coworkers have. I've been faking my
- 1:16:40Speaker 7: way through for a few weeks, and I'm terrified they'll
- 1:16:44Speaker 7: figure out I'm not really qualified. Should I come clean
- 1:16:47Speaker 7: about what I'm struggling with or keep grinding and hope
- 1:16:51Speaker 7: I can bridge the gap before someone figures out that
- 1:16:54Speaker 7: I'm a fraud.
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: Well, listen to me, you know fraud. Did you lie?
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: The lady said she wasn't impressed by your resume. The
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: lady said it was your energy that confessed her. So
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: keep up a good attitude, keep up the energy. Look,
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: I don't know how I got none of my show,
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: got that right. I got a sitcom, the lead actor
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: of a sitcom. Ain't ever been in a plate. I
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: don't even know. I got a radio show, had never
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: done radio before. I can't even tell you. I became
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: the host of a beauty the Miss Universe beauty, the
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: biggest pageant in the world, first black, the ever host
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: that said the wrong name. Still came back and kept
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: the job.
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: The following year.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: Yeah, right on back in now?
- 1:18:00Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, how does him back? I can't believe they
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: brought him back. I heard the lady that said that
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: she worked for the beauty Patchet when Donald Trump owned it.
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: She never liked me, She never liked me, and she
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: was the one that changed the card that night to
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: go back to the way they did it when Trump
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: owned the patcheant. She was the one changed the card
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: in the order that night. It wasn't even supposed to
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: be like.
- 1:18:27Speaker 7: That and made you say the wrong thing as a result.
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: I don't know her name. I call a white lady,
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: white lady. That narrowed it then, very clear.
- 1:18:43Speaker 7: Wow, all right, so you're telling her to hang in there.
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: Yeah, don't block your blessing. I got news for the
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: whole lot of people on their job ain't qualified. That's right,
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: all right.
- 1:18:53Speaker 7: We'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming
- 1:18:56Speaker 7: up right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 1:18:59Speaker 7: Morning Show. Well, guys, some sad news out of Hollywood.

- 1:26:17Speaker 1: You take us out. Yeah, you had asked me something,
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: you know what did you ask me at the beginning
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: of the show. I really want to know.
- 1:26:27Speaker 8: How do you handle criticism from other people, you know,
- 1:26:30Speaker 8: at your position and everything, and how we should look
- 1:26:32Speaker 8: at handling criticism from other people.
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: You know what, you all, Oh, that's a really good question,
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: because I just adopted this a couple of years now,
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: and it's really really helped me out with criticism and
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: the The adaptation was just a simple saying that I
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: heard I don't take criticism from people that I don't
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: take advice from. I stopped doing it. I stopped caring
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: how you feel about me on the internet. And I
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: don't even know you. And what's even more important, you
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: don't even know me. You don't have my cell number,
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: you don't have my best interests at heart. You just
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: criticizing me. And understand something else too, Folks. A lot
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: of times people are criticizing you who are not even
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: attempting to do what it is you're even doing. They're
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: making no attempt at it. They not raising no family.
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: They're not trying to stay together with their husband or
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: their wife. They not trying to pay these bills together.
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: They ain't joined forces with nobody. They haven't set up
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: in here and tried to defy the odds. They haven't
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: decided to go to school and better themselves. They never
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: decided that they was going to climb the corporate letter.
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: Nobody put in for that promotion that you put in
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: for Now, all of a sudden, here they come. They
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: got something to say, They got something to say. You
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: trying to send your child to a different school, a
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: charter school or something because you don't want them to
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: go down there at school. Oh you think you better
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: than us? I want better for my children. What is
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: the criticism for? Stop taking criticism from people that you
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: would not take advice from, and boil boy or boy.
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: The internet taught me that the internet talking. Have you
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: ever noticed a person can post anything anything, It can
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: be a purely positive message. If you go down them comments,
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: you'll be stunned and they will say something about you
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: that's not even pertaining to the subject at hand. And
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: here's the really criticism that you gotta be careful of.
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: Stop associating with your Stop associating yourself with people who
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: keep trying to hold you to your past. Man, folks,
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: get rid of them people right there because they are
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: no longer happy with the decision you've made to be better,
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: do better, or want better. So now the moment they
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: see you doing trying to be better or wanting more,
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: here they come with who you were. He's sitting up
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: in here now. I remember that time. That's all over
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: the place. It's all over the internet. Do you know, man,
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: something was positively posted about me and somebody bought up
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: the fact that I left my family in Cleveland. I
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: was twenty seven years old. Do you know how many
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: decisions I've made in my life that were really not
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: good decisions? But I made them back at a time
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: when that was the mental capacity I had, and I
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: didn't see thinking all the way. But how'd you go
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: back there though? Forty You went back forty one years
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: to tell me something I did forty one years ago,
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: So you can negate what you see me doing positive today? Man, Please,

- 1:30:22Speaker 1: who hold you to your past and are there to
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: remind you. Are you sitting up in here now talking
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: about you saved? I remember when you used to go
