  I'm thinking today of Hebrews 2 .14. It is a

  verse that describes a great victory that belongs

  to the church and to God's people as the church.

  It says this, It says a couple of things. First

  of all, it says that the children share in flesh

  and blood. That is to say, we are all pretty

  much the same. It doesn't matter about skin color,

  cultural, your social situation, your financial
• 0:34
  situation, your health situation, etc. We all
• 0:37
  share in flesh and blood and the struggles thereof.

  Because that's true, Jesus took on flesh himself.

  And he did that so that his body could then die.

  And in conquering death, he could render powerless

  him who had the power of death, that is, the

  devil. The bottom line is, Jesus stole the very

  sword right out of his hand. Everyone everywhere,

  at some point in time, thinks about death, fears

  death, worries about the outcome of events. In

  fact, losing a job sometimes feels like death.

  Losing a relationship sometimes feels like death.

  Someone saying something mean or hurtful to you
• 1:15
  sometimes feels like death. But only death is
• 1:18
  death, and it was in the hand of the devil. And
• 1:21
  Jesus came and lived the life of a man and stole
• 1:24
  that weapon right out of his hand. He has disarmed
• 1:28
  our greatest enemy. Let us now live for Christ
• 1:31
  and live brightly and live eternally. God bless
