- 0:01Speaker 1: He's a fake. I know him, I know them all.
- 0:04Speaker 1: They're all fake and they have no interest in that prisoner.
- 0:07Speaker 1: That prisoner's record is unbelievably bad. A talk about how
- 0:11Speaker 1: evil I am that this man would be thrown out
- 0:14Speaker 1: of our cart. This man is a according to certified
- 0:18Speaker 1: statements that we get, is a very violent person.
- 0:21Speaker 2: If you're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with
- 0:24Speaker 2: Ben Ferguson.
- 0:25Speaker 3: Good Monday morning, nice to have you with us on
- 0:27Speaker 3: the forty seven Morning Update. Ben Ferguson with you, and
- 0:29Speaker 3: here are the three big stories you need to know
- 0:31Speaker 3: about that we're going to talk about today. First up,
- 0:34Speaker 3: Arizona's Democratic governor Hobbs has a Vetota bill requiring police
- 0:39Speaker 3: to cooperate with ice. Why did she do it to
- 0:43Speaker 3: protect illegal immigrants, including those that are in terrorist organizations.
- 0:48Speaker 3: I'll break that down for you in just a moment. Also,
- 0:51Speaker 3: Harvard and the Trump administration are at it again. This time,
- 0:55Speaker 3: Donald Trump is planning to cut another billion dollars from
- 0:59Speaker 3: Harvard after r Harvard is refusing to cooperate when it
- 1:02Speaker 3: comes to getting activists that are advocating for terrorists off
- 1:06Speaker 3: their campuses. And finally, in a shocking story, a New
- 1:10Speaker 3: Mexico Democratic judge has been forced to resign after ICE
- 1:14Speaker 3: arrested an alleged trend de aragu gang member living in
- 1:19Speaker 3: his home. It's the forty seven Morning Update and it
- 1:22Speaker 3: starts right now.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Story number one.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Radical Democrats are added again, this time left wing Arizona
- 1:29Speaker 3: Democratic Governor Kitty Hobbs has vetoed a bill passed by
- 1:34Speaker 3: the state legislature, supported by the citizens of Arizona, that
- 1:39Speaker 3: would simply require local and state law enforcement to do
- 1:44Speaker 3: their jobs by cooperating with federal immigration officials you know
- 1:49Speaker 3: them as ICE. The Republican legislature passed a very simple
- 1:53Speaker 3: bill that outlined local jurisdictions from passing ordinances that would
- 1:59Speaker 3: prevent laws local police from working with federal immigration authorities
- 2:04Speaker 3: or block federal immigration actions and funding. Now, this is
- 2:08Speaker 3: something that obviously is very popular in Arizona. The citizens
- 2:13Speaker 3: there are sick and tired of countless legal immigrants not
- 2:17Speaker 3: being handed over to ICE when they are found to
- 2:20Speaker 3: have broken the law, and the left has obviously been
- 2:23Speaker 3: a big fan of this. While this bill was put
- 2:26Speaker 3: in place to set the record straight of what the
- 2:29Speaker 3: law says in Arizona and This bill would have also
- 2:32Speaker 3: required locals to cooperate on immigration detainers and also to
- 2:37Speaker 3: inform federal officials about immigrants being held in custody right
- 2:42Speaker 3: now that we're about to be released from jails and
- 2:45Speaker 3: or prisons. Again, this is what the federal law says
- 2:49Speaker 3: you should do. This is not radical, and most importantly,
- 2:52Speaker 3: this is what the people in Arizona voted for now.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Supporters of the bill said the measure was needed to
- 2:59Speaker 3: help the federal government have a safer and more orderly
- 3:03Speaker 3: system of taking foreign criminals into custody for deportation, and
- 3:07Speaker 3: also for state officials to be quote a partner and
- 3:10Speaker 3: not an obstacle to federal immigration policies and laws. But
- 3:16Speaker 3: what did the governor do? The governor insisted in her
- 3:19Speaker 3: veto statement that it is wrong quote to force state
- 3:23Speaker 3: and local officials to take marching orders from Washington. Yes,
- 3:28Speaker 3: she's now saying, I am not gonna do what the
- 3:31Speaker 3: federal government says or abide by what the laws say
- 3:35Speaker 3: from the federal government. Now. The bill would also have
- 3:39Speaker 3: required state jails and prisons to enter into agreements with
- 3:43Speaker 3: the federal government to temporarily house detainees that are awaiting
- 3:47Speaker 3: deportation until ICE can get involved. Further, the bill would
- 3:51Speaker 3: require the state to withhold funds also from jurisdictions that
- 3:55Speaker 3: deliberately violated the new law. Again Arizona, the people voted
- 4:00Speaker 3: for this, and the legislature listened, but the governor No, No, No,
- 4:05Speaker 3: Hobbs veto runs contrary also to polls showing that voters
- 4:09Speaker 3: are increasingly leaning towards stricter immigration policies. Last year, for instance,
- 4:14Speaker 3: poll showed that sixty three percent of Arizonans supported Proposition
- 4:19Speaker 3: three point four, a measure that would criminalize entering the
- 4:23Speaker 3: state illegally. Another poll last year found that a strong
- 4:27Speaker 3: majority in Arizona felt that the US had lost control
- 4:30Speaker 3: also over the border under Joe Biden. And once the
- 4:34Speaker 3: dust settled from last year's elections, Arizonans had sent more
- 4:38Speaker 3: Republicans to the state legislature, and in November, the Arizona
- 4:42Speaker 3: Speaker elect told the state as well as the media
- 4:46Speaker 3: that Arizonans had rejected the Democratic Governor Hobbs and her
- 4:50Speaker 3: agenda by expanding Republicans' control over the state House. So
- 4:56Speaker 3: yet again here we are with another active in our government.
- 5:01Speaker 3: This time the Arizona Governor vetoing a bill requiring police
- 5:05Speaker 3: to cooperate with ICE. What's even more shocking is many
- 5:09Speaker 3: of the people that are being released into the community
- 5:12Speaker 3: are violent offenders. Many of them that have had to
- 5:15Speaker 3: be in jail for the crimes that committed, that are
- 5:18Speaker 3: actually needing to then be deported from the country are
- 5:21Speaker 3: being released from jail, and they are not telling the
- 5:25Speaker 3: federal authorities, so they're being released among us. Many of
- 5:28Speaker 3: them stay in Arizona, and many of them travel all
- 5:31Speaker 3: over the country. Now the question becomes this, how will
- 5:35Speaker 3: the Trump administration respond, How would the Department of Justice respond,
- 5:39Speaker 3: How would the Attorney General respond? How would the Department
- 5:42Speaker 3: of Homeland Security respond. It's very clear this is a
- 5:46Speaker 3: test case for others, specifically in the Democratic Party, as
- 5:50Speaker 3: to what happens when you, as a governor decide to
- 5:53Speaker 3: stand up to the people in your state as well
- 5:57Speaker 3: as to the federal government and not abide by federal
- 6:00Speaker 3: immigration laws. I expect this case to play out, and
- 6:04Speaker 3: I expect that the Trump administration will have all hands
- 6:07Speaker 3: on deck when it comes to standing up to this
- 6:10Speaker 3: radical left governor in Arizona.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Next story number two, The Trump.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Administration seems to be playing chess while Harvard is playing checkers.
- 6:19Speaker 3: The Wall Street Journal is now reporting that the Trump
- 6:22Speaker 3: administration is planning to cut one billion more from Harvard
- 6:26Speaker 3: after tensions have continued to escalate. Now, the Trump administration
- 6:31Speaker 3: is now planning to pull that other one billion in
- 6:34Speaker 3: federal grants and contracts for health research from Harvard University
- 6:38Speaker 3: amid the escalating high stakes battle between the government and
- 6:42Speaker 3: the university over institutional oversight in independence. This again coming
- 6:47Speaker 3: from the Wall Street Journal. Last month, the Trump administration
- 6:51Speaker 3: announced it would freeze two point two billion and multi
- 6:54Speaker 3: year grants and sixty million in multi year contract value
- 6:58Speaker 3: after Harvard said it would not follow policy demands from
- 7:02Speaker 3: the Trump administration. People familiar with the matter said officials
- 7:05Speaker 3: were surprised when the university made public a letter from
- 7:09Speaker 3: the Task Force to Combat Anti Semitism before Monday. Quote.
- 7:13Speaker 3: The administration was planning to treat Harvard more leniently than
- 7:16Speaker 3: Columbia University, but now officials want to apply even more
- 7:19Speaker 3: pressure the nation's most prominent university, according to people talking
- 7:23Speaker 3: to the Journal. Others familiar with Harvard's response say there
- 7:27Speaker 3: was no guarantee or no agreement to keep the letter private.
- 7:31Speaker 3: And that its contents, including requirements at Harvard allow federal
- 7:35Speaker 3: government oversight of admissions and the ideology of students and staff,
- 7:39Speaker 3: were a quote non starter. Last month, apparently conceding to
- 7:43Speaker 3: administration demands, Columbia University made policy changes in a dispute
- 7:48Speaker 3: over federal funding, including restrictions on demonstrations, new disciplinary procedures,
- 7:53Speaker 3: and immediately reviewing its Middle East curriculum. On the heels
- 7:57Speaker 3: of President Donald Trump's revocation of four hundred million in
- 8:00Speaker 3: federal funding over campus protests that were clearly anti semitic.
- 8:04Speaker 3: Now here's the newest response from the Trump administration. They
- 8:08Speaker 3: have announced that Harvard University quote must provide information on
- 8:13Speaker 3: misconduct involving foreign students by April the thirtieth, or else
- 8:18Speaker 3: it will lose the ability to enroll them at all.
- 8:22Speaker 3: The Secretary of Homeland Security, Christy Nomes, saying in a
- 8:25Speaker 3: pressed statement that she was canceling two point seven million
- 8:29Speaker 3: in grants awarded by her department, one that had produced
- 8:32Speaker 3: a study disparaging conservatives as a security risk. Yes, your
- 8:37Speaker 3: tax dollars paid for that study, and another study that
- 8:40Speaker 3: Christy Nomes said had promoted quote, public health propaganda about
- 8:46Speaker 3: the coronavirus pandemic. In addition to that, Nomes said this,
- 8:51Speaker 3: the Secretary also wrote a scathing letter demanding detailed records
- 8:54Speaker 3: on Harvard's foreign student visa holder's illegal and violent activity
- 9:00Speaker 3: by April the thirtieth, or face immediate loss of Student
- 9:03Speaker 3: and Exchange Visa Program certification known as the SEVP program.
- 9:09Speaker 3: Quote Harvard benning the need to anti Semitism, driven by
- 9:13Speaker 3: its spineless leadership, fuels acsessible of extremism, riots, and threatens
- 9:19Speaker 3: our national security, the secretary said, With anti American pro
- 9:23Speaker 3: Hamas ideology poising its campus and classrooms, Harvard's position as
- 9:28Speaker 3: a top institution of higher learning is a distant memory.
- 9:32Speaker 3: America demands more from universities and trusted with taxpayer dollars now.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Since Hamas's October seventh attack on Israel, Harvard's foreign visa
- 9:42Speaker 3: holding rioters and faculty have sputed anti Semitic hate targeting
- 9:46Speaker 3: Jewish students. With a fifty three point two billion dollar endowment,
- 9:51Speaker 3: Harvard can find its own chaos. DHS won't known continued,
- 9:56Speaker 3: and if Harvard cannot verify it is in full compliance
- 9:59Speaker 3: with its reporting requirements, the university will lose the privilege
- 10:04Speaker 3: of enrolling foreign students a Christinome clearly speaking on behalf
- 10:08Speaker 3: of the president, making it clear that they're not putting
- 10:11Speaker 3: up with this any longer now. Harvard has struggled with
- 10:13Speaker 3: anti Israel encampments and anti Semitic protests since the October
- 10:18Speaker 3: seventh tier attack by Hamas, which dozens of Harvard student
- 10:22Speaker 3: organizations blamed on Israel in a signed statement. More than
- 10:27Speaker 3: one in four students at Harvard is an international student,
- 10:31Speaker 3: with twenty seven point two percent of the entire student body,
- 10:35Speaker 3: graduate and undergraduate being from overseas. In fact, some six thousand,
- 10:40Speaker 3: seven hundred and ninety three students are from abroad according
- 10:44Speaker 3: to the university's own data. There is a correlation between elite,
- 10:48Speaker 3: expensive colleges and the likelihood of anti Israel encampments. Christinome
- 10:53Speaker 3: went on to say the high presence of foreign students
- 10:57Speaker 3: at more elite institutions may be one x one nation
- 11:00Speaker 3: for this phenomenon. Secretary of State Marco Rubio also getting
- 11:04Speaker 3: in on the action. He has said that the US
- 11:07Speaker 3: had already deported hundreds of foreign students who were involved
- 11:11Speaker 3: in radical protests in the past eighteen months, which have
- 11:14Speaker 3: brought anti Semitism to many college campuses. Now, Harvard is
- 11:18Speaker 3: valed to fight the Trump Administration's directives on fighting anti Semitism,
- 11:23Speaker 3: among other changes, though some nine billion in federal grants
- 11:27Speaker 3: are now at stake, two point two billion of which
- 11:29Speaker 3: have been suspended now. As I mentioned earlier, the Trump
- 11:32Speaker 3: administration has also ordered the Internal Revenue Service to prepare
- 11:36Speaker 3: to revoke Harvard's tax exempt status, which is also allowed
- 11:40Speaker 3: it to amass a fifty three billion dollar endowment. Translation,
- 11:46Speaker 3: Donald Trump's not putting up with this any longer on
- 11:49Speaker 3: college campuses, especially those that accept our tax dollars.
- 11:54Speaker 2: And lastly, story number three.
- 11:56Speaker 3: There's a pretty interesting trend that is happening now with
- 11:59Speaker 3: the Democratic Party. They are now in love with terrists,
- 12:03Speaker 3: terrorists that are in radical gangs in this country, and
- 12:06Speaker 3: they're doing everything they can to protect them, and say
- 12:09Speaker 3: the American people, We've seen this from congressmen and sentators
- 12:13Speaker 3: that are running down to meet with MS thirteen gang
- 12:16Speaker 3: members held in Venezuela, for example. And now we may
- 12:19Speaker 3: know a little bit more about just how corrupt the
- 12:22Speaker 3: Democratic Party is, how compromised they are by these gangs
- 12:27Speaker 3: that have been declared terrists organizations look to the new headline.
- 12:31Speaker 3: A Democratic judge in New Mexico has been forced to
- 12:35Speaker 3: resign from his bench after immigration agents arrested a alleged
- 12:41Speaker 3: trend diiragu gang member living in his home. The illegal
- 12:46Speaker 3: alien entered into the US in Alpaso, Texas, before being
- 12:50Speaker 3: released on an immigration parole. Due to overcrowding, he eventually
- 12:54Speaker 3: moved we've now learned to New Mexico. Federal prosecutors in
- 12:58Speaker 3: the District of New New Mexico alleged at the twenty
- 13:01Speaker 3: three year old was illegally in possession of a firearm
- 13:05Speaker 3: and has direct ties to the hyper violent Venezuelan gang.
- 13:10Speaker 3: Earlier this year, President Donald Trump in the US State
- 13:13Speaker 3: Department declared the gang to be a foreign terrorist organization.
- 13:17Speaker 3: Police arrested Lopez while executing a search warrant on February
- 13:22Speaker 3: the twenty eighth at the home of Don On, a
- 13:24Speaker 3: County New Mexico magistrate judge and his wife, The Albuquerque
- 13:29Speaker 3: Journal is reporting now. The report follows a detention hearing
- 13:33Speaker 3: where prosecutors claim the illegal alien is a flight risk
- 13:37Speaker 3: and an alleged trende Aragua gang member Kanu. A former
- 13:41Speaker 3: police officer allowed the gang member to file a request
- 13:45Speaker 3: for immigration relief using the judge's residential address. This isn't
- 13:50Speaker 3: a joke. Now, that's not all We also now in
- 13:53Speaker 3: court exhibits have seen pictures that were posted on social
- 13:57Speaker 3: media of the foreign national with the judge. Yes, they're
- 14:02Speaker 3: good friends. Court records obtained revealed that Lopez, a Venezuelan national,
- 14:08Speaker 3: entered the United States illegally an Eagle passed during the
- 14:11Speaker 3: peak of the Biden border crisis in December of twenty
- 14:14Speaker 3: twenty three, and then, due to overcrowding in the Eagle
- 14:17Speaker 3: passed attention facility, he was released three days later. Social
- 14:23Speaker 3: media posts obtained by the US Attorney's Office for the
- 14:25Speaker 3: District of New Mexico show Lopez and other illegal aliens
- 14:29Speaker 3: at a shooting range. They appeared to be in possession
- 14:32Speaker 3: of multiple firearms at a large quantity of handguns and
- 14:36Speaker 3: rifle ammunition. In one image, the man is also holding
- 14:39Speaker 3: an AR fifteen style rifle in one hand and a
- 14:42Speaker 3: semi automatic pistol in the other. A video shows the
- 14:44Speaker 3: Venezuelan migrant in possession of another AR fifteen equipped with
- 14:48Speaker 3: a suppressor. He fired the rifle until it was empty
- 14:51Speaker 3: and then reloaded it with a new magazine, which he
- 14:54Speaker 3: continued to fire, the prosecutor stated. Now the photos and
- 14:57Speaker 3: videos show Lopez displaying the Trendea Raga gang tattoos. The
- 15:02Speaker 3: United States government recently declared this violent gang to be
- 15:05Speaker 3: a quote transnational criminal organization. As well, Investigators found additional
- 15:10Speaker 3: firearms in a neighboring home owned by Nancy Kano's daughter
- 15:15Speaker 3: that would be the judge's daughter. Lopez was seen in
- 15:17Speaker 3: possession of several of these firearms. Investigators report that the
- 15:22Speaker 3: Venezuelan national move to Olpasso after being released by border
- 15:26Speaker 3: patrol agents. There, he roomed with five other people Court
- 15:30Speaker 3: document state, and while living there, Lopez met Nancy Kano
- 15:34Speaker 3: and began doing construction and handyman jobs. Kano extended an
- 15:38Speaker 3: offer for the illegal alien to live in the casida
- 15:41Speaker 3: behind her home. Now. Other images from Lopez's cell phone
- 15:45Speaker 3: obtained by breit Bart News show graphic images of multiple
- 15:49Speaker 3: decapitated and mutilated bodies. Let me say that again. Other
- 15:54Speaker 3: images from Lopez's phone obtained by breit Bart News show
- 15:59Speaker 3: graphic images of multiple decapitated and mutilated bodies. Lopez is
- 16:05Speaker 3: currently in the Donna, Ana County Detention Center where he's
- 16:09Speaker 3: charged with being an illegal alien in possession of firearms. Now,
- 16:12Speaker 3: it's not clear if Judge Kanno or his wife Nancy
- 16:16Speaker 3: will be charged with harboring an illegal alien or providing
- 16:19Speaker 3: material support to a foreign terrorist organization. But if you
- 16:23Speaker 3: want to know whose side the left is on, well
- 16:26Speaker 3: just take a look at this new Mexico Democratic judge
- 16:29Speaker 3: and what did it cost him when he was busted
- 16:31Speaker 3: for all this? Elly, I just had to resign after
- 16:34Speaker 3: Ice arrested the gang member in his home.
