- 2:02Speaker 1: will a good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: Come on dig me now one and only. Steve Harley
- 2:09Speaker 1: got a radio show. We gotta good for you today.
- 2:13Speaker 1: I was thinking about on the way in. You know,
- 2:17Speaker 1: yesterday was a really, really trying day for me. There's
- 2:20Speaker 1: a lot of work yesterday and I was up. I've
- 2:23Speaker 1: gotten so tired at one point man that but you know,
- 2:27Speaker 1: I mean, I mean I had no one to to
- 2:30Speaker 1: to explain it to. You know, mom. The fellas that
- 2:33Speaker 1: travel with me, they just go, they just go. You know,
- 2:36Speaker 1: they know where I gotta be. They get me in place,
- 2:39Speaker 1: you know, blah blah blah. But you know, you know,
- 2:44Speaker 1: right about when I'm about to complain about it out loud,
- 2:50Speaker 1: I also find all of the incredible reasons that I
- 2:55Speaker 1: have to be grateful, and it kind of slows down
- 2:58Speaker 1: to complain it a little bit. Now I'm not saying
- 3:00Speaker 1: the our days. Man, Why I don't verbalize my fatigue
- 3:04Speaker 1: or I don't verbalize my man I wish I didn't
- 3:07Speaker 1: have to work so hard on man. But but but
- 3:10Speaker 1: but but yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah. But when
- 3:12Speaker 1: I get through with that, I have so many reasons
- 3:15Speaker 1: to be grateful that it does slow it down, you know,
- 3:19Speaker 1: And sometimes it might the majority terms just flat out
- 3:21Speaker 1: stops it because I end up laughing at myself because
- 3:25Speaker 1: you know, it's so many things are happening to me
- 3:27Speaker 1: beyond my belief, beyond what I asked God for. So
- 3:32Speaker 1: there's just some extreme blessings going on in my life.
- 3:35Speaker 1: But man, man o, man o, man have I paid?
- 3:39Speaker 1: And that that's the part I want to talk to
- 3:41Speaker 1: you about today. You know, see a lot of people
- 3:43Speaker 1: look at other people and they see what they think
- 3:46Speaker 1: is the finished product. They don't realize that all of us,
- 3:50Speaker 1: no matter who we are, are still a work in progress,
- 3:54Speaker 1: that I have many flaws, that I have many problems
- 3:56Speaker 1: and have many situations that come up, you know, just
- 3:59Speaker 1: like anybody else. You know, I'm no different from that,
- 4:02Speaker 1: you know. You know, life happens for me just like
- 4:05Speaker 1: it happens for you. It may happen in different ways,
- 4:09Speaker 1: but just like you know, if it's something comes up
- 4:12Speaker 1: at an inconvenient time for you, it pops up for me.
- 4:15Speaker 1: You know, if something happens for me that seems unfair,
- 4:19Speaker 1: I know that it's happening to somebody else unfairly. But
- 4:23Speaker 1: you know, um, I find myself being grateful the majority
- 4:31Speaker 1: of the time. I can't say all the time because
- 4:34Speaker 1: I'm a human being, and sometimes I find myself complaining
- 4:37Speaker 1: about it all, you know, But but I try, for
- 4:39Speaker 1: the most part to stay grateful, to stay focused, and
- 4:42Speaker 1: it allows me to keep the wheels churning. But now
- 4:47Speaker 1: I wanna I want to share something with you about
- 4:52Speaker 1: your road to success. You know you've heard me say
- 4:55Speaker 1: this probably a hundred times now. The road to success
- 4:59Speaker 1: is all ways under construction, it really is. So here's
- 5:04Speaker 1: here's what I want you to expect on your way
- 5:08Speaker 1: to changing, on your way to becoming successful, on your
- 5:13Speaker 1: way to achieving your goals, on your way to getting better.
- 5:19Speaker 1: I want you to expect many difficulties. Once again, the
- 5:26Speaker 1: road to con the road to success is always under construction.
- 5:32Speaker 1: I want you to expect many difficulties. But here is
- 5:36Speaker 1: the deal between successful people and non successful people. It's
- 5:41Speaker 1: how they deal with the difficulties. That's the only difference.
- 5:49Speaker 1: It's how you deal with the difficulties, how you handle
- 5:53Speaker 1: the setbacks, how well you get up after you've been
- 5:56Speaker 1: knocked down. That's happening to all of us, none of us,
- 6:01Speaker 1: none of us are exempt from that. You're going to fall,
- 6:06Speaker 1: You're going to be pushed, you're going to be run over,
- 6:11Speaker 1: you're going to be tackled, you are going to be
- 6:16Speaker 1: lied about. You are going to have setbacks. That's a
- 6:22Speaker 1: part of the journey. But how do you handle them?
- 6:25Speaker 1: How well do you do you handle everything? See? I
- 6:29Speaker 1: want you to understand something. When you set out to
- 6:33Speaker 1: be successful, he is difficult. Pet Pablo, who I have
- 6:37Speaker 1: probably people? What is it about to quote Pete Pablo?
- 6:41Speaker 1: He had a uh a rap album out called Diary
- 6:45Speaker 1: of a Cinner and it was really, man, my favorite
- 6:49Speaker 1: rap album of all time, because he said some things
- 6:54Speaker 1: about his life that I could so relate to. I
- 6:58Speaker 1: can't think of the name of the song right now,
- 7:00Speaker 1: but there is a lyric a stands in one of
- 7:03Speaker 1: his songs that says, I had a half a tank
- 7:06Speaker 1: of gas, two cigarettes, scraping up change in an ash tray,
- 7:12Speaker 1: and a voice said, it's only a test of my faith.
- 7:20Speaker 1: It said, I had a half a tank of gas,
- 7:22Speaker 1: two cigarettes, scraping up change in an ash tray, but
- 7:27Speaker 1: a voice said it was only a test of my faith.
- 7:33Speaker 1: It's a deal your faith, which is the belief in
- 7:37Speaker 1: things that you cannot see. When you say I'm going
- 7:40Speaker 1: to make it, I'm going to be successful at it.
- 7:42Speaker 1: I'm going to finish college. I'm going to achieve my goal.
- 7:46Speaker 1: I'm going to be a better husband. I'm going to
- 7:49Speaker 1: be a better father. I'm going to be a better wife.
- 7:52Speaker 1: I'm going to be a better mother. I'm going to
- 7:55Speaker 1: be a better student. I'm going to be rich. I'm
- 7:58Speaker 1: going to start doing more for other people. I'm going
- 8:01Speaker 1: to help the less fortunate. Whatever you say when you're
- 8:05Speaker 1: sending that prayer, when you declare that faith, the devil
- 8:10Speaker 1: hears your prayer to Now, a sad thing about the
- 8:14Speaker 1: devil is he's busy seven and he has people that
- 8:20Speaker 1: works for him. It's some imps out there that ain't
- 8:25Speaker 1: up to no good. You all know them, You've all
- 8:29Speaker 1: run across them. They always putting shade on somebody, They
- 8:35Speaker 1: always barking at somebody, and they always knocking somebody down.
- 8:40Speaker 1: These people that they just busy for Satan. What you
- 8:45Speaker 1: gotta be careful of is that occasionally you don't become
- 8:48Speaker 1: one of those people. See so when these people when
- 8:54Speaker 1: when the devil hears is prayer that you sent up
- 8:56Speaker 1: or what you're gonna be successful at, then your faith
- 9:00Speaker 1: it's going to be tested. He got people man to
- 9:04Speaker 1: come in there and try to knock you off that course,
- 9:06Speaker 1: so you can get on back to this old woe
- 9:08Speaker 1: is me. I ain't gonna ever be nothing. The uh
- 9:12Speaker 1: man seemed like every time I try to get back
- 9:14Speaker 1: up by getting knocked right back. Now, once he gets
- 9:17Speaker 1: you saying that enough times, then he can start implementing
- 9:21Speaker 1: some other programs. Come on, man, let's sell this dope.
- 9:26Speaker 1: We can't get no job now here you go. You're
- 9:29Speaker 1: off track, you're going you other way. Now he got you.
- 9:32Speaker 1: He got you tied up. Now to the poort where
- 9:34Speaker 1: he can get you locked up, or he can get
- 9:36Speaker 1: you killed and lose your soul. So now he had
- 9:39Speaker 1: worked busy he all day. What you got to be
- 9:42Speaker 1: mindful of is that your faith will be tested, that
- 9:46Speaker 1: it's going to be difficult to get to where you are,
- 9:49Speaker 1: and you got to stay in prayer all the time,
- 9:52Speaker 1: talking to your creator about strengthening you for the journey.
- 9:56Speaker 1: You have to be strengthened for the journey. That's all
- 10:00Speaker 1: you're asking for. Because the journey is the journey. You
- 10:04Speaker 1: can stop asking God to remove all these problems in
- 10:06Speaker 1: these situations because it ain't gonna happen. These out the
- 10:10Speaker 1: test of our faith. This determines how bad you wanted.
- 10:14Speaker 1: What I'm saying to you this morning is stay focused,
- 10:18Speaker 1: stay prayerful, stay on point, get ready for him. Understand
- 10:22Speaker 1: that it's just to test to your faith. That your
- 10:25Speaker 1: faith will be tested. But you got to stay the course. Man,
- 10:29Speaker 1: You got to stay the course. It's all right, you
- 10:34Speaker 1: will be fine in due time, but you gotta give
- 10:38Speaker 1: some of this stuff a chance to play itself out.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Because nothing lasts forever. Ain't no pain forever, all right,
- 10:46Speaker 1: I'm just trying to help you with that, because boy,
- 10:49Speaker 1: I'm dealing with it all the time. Stay prayerful, God
- 10:54Speaker 1: got help for you. All right, let's go. You're listening
- 10:57Speaker 1: to ladies and gentlemen. Boys and girls, May I have
- 11:04Speaker 1: your attention please? Today's show it's dedicated to the men
- 11:12Speaker 1: and women, to the boys and girls who have strong
- 11:17Speaker 1: desires to perform at the circus. Yes, this is your day.
- 11:25Speaker 1: If your dream has ever been to ride around in
- 11:28Speaker 1: a metal ball on a motorcycle, fly on the flying trappede,
- 11:35Speaker 1: walk on the tight roll, get in a cage with
- 11:38Speaker 1: a while at him, pack yourself with thirty seven little
- 11:43Speaker 1: people into a vothwagon and jump out people. The only
- 11:50Speaker 1: reason I said little people cause I want this joke
- 11:52Speaker 1: to stay on. I don't want to ladies and gentlemen,
- 11:57Speaker 1: this show is for you. Circus people are different, Steve,
- 12:02Speaker 1: Yeah they are, yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean. I met
- 12:05Speaker 1: the oldest lady living of the Flying wall Lendas on
- 12:09Speaker 1: my show Big Shots Forever Young. She climbed up this
- 12:14Speaker 1: eighty five foot pole at night with no harness, would
- 12:19Speaker 1: not let us put a harness on. It was crazy,
- 12:22Speaker 1: and the flagpole got skinnier and skinnier at the top,
- 12:25Speaker 1: and it's swayed and then the wind started blowing. She
- 12:28Speaker 1: wasn't but like a ninety pound But she's been doing
- 12:32Speaker 1: this all her life. And her black black people down
- 12:36Speaker 1: there praying holding that Jesus and black when we wasn't
- 12:44Speaker 1: even looking up that it was just holding hand. And
- 12:47Speaker 1: her family got scared too, because they never took her
- 12:50Speaker 1: that long to get up the pole. So it was
- 12:52Speaker 1: really really trying. So that's it. Hey, good morning, everybody.
- 12:56Speaker 1: How y'all doing? It's wrong with the president? Man? I mean,
- 13:06Speaker 1: but no, man, no, no, no, nah man. This this
- 13:11Speaker 1: this one different. This one was a complete reversal. This
- 13:16Speaker 1: was forty eight hours of heat for not denouncing neo
- 13:19Speaker 1: Nazi clan white supremacy to coming out and denouncing them
- 13:24Speaker 1: by name. Then the next day come back and go
- 13:28Speaker 1: hold on. They had permits that the people have and
- 13:34Speaker 1: the all left. What is the left the opposite of
- 13:38Speaker 1: the right. Now this is on the heels of David
- 13:43Speaker 1: Duke saying, excuse me, but you need to look in
- 13:46Speaker 1: the mirror. We are your base that got you elected,
- 13:50Speaker 1: and I'll be dog gone. Man. It was really alarming,
- 13:54Speaker 1: though it threw some people. It wasn't allowing to me.
- 13:58Speaker 1: He's been doing this and trying to make American fight again.
- 14:01Speaker 1: What what what y'all y'all ain't been seeing me. If
- 14:05Speaker 1: this is how he ran his entire campaign, people forget well,
- 14:10Speaker 1: this is how he really feels. I mean, that's the
- 14:12Speaker 1: only conclusion you can get from all of this. This
- 14:15Speaker 1: is how he really feels. It's her party of he
- 14:17Speaker 1: ain't playing real Lord ha merc right now, by round
- 14:24Speaker 1: of applause, Really do miss Baracko far he coming up? Juniors,
- 14:33Speaker 1: Truth be told and then we're gonna find out just

- 15:15Speaker 1: I'm trying to look, but I don't know his truth
- 15:17Speaker 1: be told always be something else hurt. I gotta promote
- 15:21Speaker 1: my walk, ain't I ain't managed, but I just I'll
- 15:24Speaker 1: be waiting on truth be told. And then you lie like,
- 15:29Speaker 1: oh my god, I don't never know where he going
- 15:33Speaker 1: because you every time you're introducing to truth be told,
- 15:35Speaker 1: we're here body announcements and everything. Well, he's promoting what
- 15:40Speaker 1: he's doing. Still do that. You said truth be told,
- 15:43Speaker 1: then you ought to let do truth be told. Then
- 15:45Speaker 1: do a little damn announcement. I didn't do it the
- 15:47Speaker 1: way he wants to do it. All right, I'm gonna
- 15:49Speaker 1: let him go ahead, go ahead. So what's having to
- 15:51Speaker 1: September sixteen? Now, now, I mean looking at me like
- 15:56Speaker 1: he really concerned, y'all gonna do? We're having to walk

- 16:18Speaker 1: cell dot com. Sign up and register, Come on out,
- 16:21Speaker 1: run your five k, walk your five k. We don't
- 16:24Speaker 1: even matter. Just come on because we need it. It's
- 16:28Speaker 1: gonna be in Oyster Creek Park, Oyster Creek Park which
- 16:32Speaker 1: is in sugar Land, Taxson, right outside of Houston. Yeah.
- 16:35Speaker 1: So if you, yeah, if you, if you, if you
- 16:37Speaker 1: end in way Cove, you in Austin. This is benefitting
- 16:40Speaker 1: to Mark Thomas Foundation, which is based in Austin. Uh.
- 16:43Speaker 1: They do a lot of great work for sickle Sale.
- 16:45Speaker 1: They do research, they do also they do screenings for
- 16:49Speaker 1: a sickle sale and they also help families with assistance
- 16:53Speaker 1: for doctors bills for sickle sale. So they do a
- 16:55Speaker 1: lot of great work. It's a great organization. That's what
- 16:57Speaker 1: we do. In September sixt thicker Sale Run for Sickle
- 17:00Speaker 1: Sale go to go to Run for Sickle Sale dot com.
- 17:04Speaker 1: There is now truth be told. He is. Uh. If
- 17:08Speaker 1: you've got a job that you feel the opplication out for,
- 17:12Speaker 1: don't be mad at us when we come in there.
- 17:14Speaker 1: That's the absolute truth. Because I went down to the
- 17:16Speaker 1: post office a lot of post of people of great work.
- 17:19Speaker 1: You feel out of application? Yeah yeah for a job,
- 17:23Speaker 1: you get the job, don't be mad when we come
- 17:25Speaker 1: down there. Yeah, yeah, what is you talking about? You
- 17:30Speaker 1: trying to see where he's going with. I'm tell him
- 17:32Speaker 1: just wait stick but I mean I'm up. No, I
- 17:36Speaker 1: like it. I like it, but I'm the set up
- 17:38Speaker 1: is hard. I'm staying with it. Out the application jokes
- 17:46Speaker 1: to set up is confusing. Okay, let me just say
- 17:50Speaker 1: it like this. Okay, you feel out the application, you
- 17:54Speaker 1: take the job. Why is you man? We come down
- 17:56Speaker 1: there now. I know a lot of post work is
- 17:58Speaker 1: at a great post works. I have a waderful time.
- 18:01Speaker 1: But there's one postal worker name Helen. I can't stand
- 18:05Speaker 1: right now. There is no reason why me and Helen
- 18:09Speaker 1: should have a thirty minute argument about one letter. I'm
- 18:12Speaker 1: down there. She mad at me because I didn't pick
- 18:14Speaker 1: the wrong envelope. Now, if it's say overnight, then why
- 18:18Speaker 1: is you telling me it's gonna take two days? That's
- 18:21Speaker 1: what the whole argument was about. Your asks don't need
- 18:24Speaker 1: to be working down now. You can't count overnight is
- 18:28Speaker 1: next day? Why are you talking about fry? I need
- 18:31Speaker 1: to Yeah, I need to know what you take the jobs.
- 18:35Speaker 1: I asked, is it gonna get there? To Mark? No,
- 18:37Speaker 1: it's gonna get there. Third, well, why are you charging
- 18:39Speaker 1: me over night prices? Told? If you didn't want the job.
- 18:44Speaker 1: Why you feel out the advocation? You can't get mad
- 18:46Speaker 1: because I came in here, we're gonna be melling. You're
- 18:49Speaker 1: gonna be melling Helen, and she needs to really not
- 18:52Speaker 1: be there no more. And if I come back down there,
- 18:54Speaker 1: coming over the county, not gonna all your stand down.
- 18:56Speaker 1: That's all I come out. Well, you know dog she Holly,
- 19:01Speaker 1: she's said it's so loud talking that other people in line.
- 19:04Speaker 1: He's over here and I will be And so you
- 19:06Speaker 1: were embarrassed. I was absolutely bear about because I got
- 19:09Speaker 1: the wrong envelope. If I said I wanted that to
- 19:12Speaker 1: mar you keep telling me, well, it's not gonna get
- 19:15Speaker 1: there till Fried. Well that's not overnight there. And the
- 19:18Speaker 1: thing about truth be told us these things really happened
- 19:21Speaker 1: in Junior's life, Helen. He doesn't make the step Helen.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Helen is fired too, fire too okay, But I will
- 19:30Speaker 1: say this thirty yeah, yeah, the whole little slide that
- 19:36Speaker 1: they say, no, no, I know, I already know people
- 19:40Speaker 1: usually be mad. Yeah, shot, why people are always? But
- 19:44Speaker 1: you stopped really shocked. Why people are always? Because they
- 19:48Speaker 1: got the squeeze in that area and work all the
- 19:56Speaker 1: short people whis just pack up in there, just look
- 20:05Speaker 1: like somebody just put their foot on him to shut
- 20:08Speaker 1: the dope. Steve, you're mad now, you're angry. It's too much.
- 20:14Speaker 1: You bought the car, had all the cars. If y'all
- 20:18Speaker 1: was in your price running, you could have got a great, big,
- 20:20Speaker 1: old used car. You're you know you're down there. You're
- 20:27Speaker 1: down there in a smart car. So you just in
- 20:31Speaker 1: there looking like some play dough. You've been wanting to
- 20:34Speaker 1: talk about this for a while. I can tell yeah,
- 20:36Speaker 1: I didn't want to get it off. Go ahead, all right, um,
- 20:43Speaker 1: this man in Wisconsin, Steve was building a fireplace frame.
- 20:46Speaker 1: I want to see how tough you are. Listen to
- 20:48Speaker 1: what he did. He was building a fireplace frame when
- 20:51Speaker 1: he accidentally shot himself in the heart with a nail gun. Know.
- 20:59Speaker 1: His name is Doug Burt Guson. He said it didn't
- 21:01Speaker 1: really hurt, so he got in his truck and drove
- 21:03Speaker 1: twelve miles to a hospital. Berguson is one tough guy.
- 21:08Speaker 1: He said. He looked down, he didn't see anything. He
- 21:11Speaker 1: put his hand there and said, that's not good. Doug
- 21:15Speaker 1: had open heart surgery. He's doing he's doing fine right now.
- 21:21Speaker 1: I just wanted to know Steve as anything. He nailed it, Tommy,
- 21:27Speaker 1: But isn't this like crazy? Wow? Yeah, that's tough even
- 21:34Speaker 1: for you. Hush, Steve. Yeah, I'll tell you one I
- 21:38Speaker 1: did one time when we came back, all right, when
- 21:42Speaker 1: we come back that and then nephew Tommy's run that
- 21:45Speaker 1: prank back right after this. You're listening to the Steven Show,

- 28:22Speaker 1: I got it. Hey, I gotta ask you this baby.
- 28:26Speaker 1: One more thing. What is the baddest radio show in
- 28:30Speaker 1: the land, The Steve Harvey Morning Shows. Yeah, I'm gonna

- 28:42Speaker 1: I'll tell you what I'm gonna do. I'm just gonna

- 28:54Speaker 1: that's it, Come on, talk tell me how I'm yeah,
- 29:05Speaker 1: I mean really got her? Yeah? All right. Well, Steve,
- 29:10Speaker 1: before we went to I run that prank back, we
- 29:12Speaker 1: were talking about this man in Wisconsin, Doug Berguson, who
- 29:16Speaker 1: accidentally shot himself in the heart with a nail gun
- 29:19Speaker 1: and he said it didn't really hurt that much. She
- 29:21Speaker 1: drove himself twelve miles to a hospital. He had open
- 29:24Speaker 1: open heart surgery and he's doing fine right now. So
- 29:27Speaker 1: you were gonna tell us a story. He's pretty darn
- 29:32Speaker 1: tough an right there. Nail gunn in mom thing I
- 29:39Speaker 1: did one time about eighteen nineteen. And the hardest thing
- 29:44Speaker 1: I've a deal was I was at home for Thanksgiving
- 29:48Speaker 1: and I was in there watching the game and my
- 29:51Speaker 1: leg was up and I had it not in the cast,
- 29:54Speaker 1: but I was wrapped and I couldn't walk on it.
- 29:56Speaker 1: The toughest thing A a deal was I had died
- 29:59Speaker 1: real and I crawl what crawl all the way down
- 30:06Speaker 1: the still bruising all crawl all the way to the tarlet.
- 30:14Speaker 1: Oh my stomach through the shag copy across that hardwood
- 30:20Speaker 1: float that's crawling trying to get there. Oh. Man, crawled
- 30:27Speaker 1: up on that tarlet and made it. Thank you, all right,
- 30:31Speaker 1: missing it's coming up with that national you're listening to
- 30:36Speaker 1: the Steven Show. All right. Here's something still trending on
- 30:42Speaker 1: social media this morning, this very morning, hashtag impeach Donald Trump,
- 30:47Speaker 1: and then David Duke tweeted thank you President Trump for
- 30:51Speaker 1: your honesty and courage to tell the truth about hashtag
- 30:55Speaker 1: Charlottesville and condemned the leftist terrorists and Black Lives Matter
- 30:59Speaker 1: and Antifa. Uh. Even NBA star I saw this NBA
- 31:04Speaker 1: star Lebron James, who spoke out with this tweet. Hate
- 31:08Speaker 1: has always existed in America, Yes, we know that, but
- 31:12Speaker 1: Donald Trump just made it fashionable again. Statues have nothing
- 31:16Speaker 1: to do with us now. President Trump reverted to his suggestion,
- 31:20Speaker 1: of course, we uh, we were talking about this off air,
- 31:23Speaker 1: Steve that both sides are to blame for the violence
- 31:26Speaker 1: in Charlottesville, Virginia over the weekend. He also appeared to
- 31:29Speaker 1: have coined a term for counter protesters, calling them the
- 31:33Speaker 1: alt left. You had some very bad people in that group.
- 31:37Speaker 1: You also had some very fine people on both sides.
- 31:41Speaker 1: Is he crazy? How how do you have fine people
- 31:46Speaker 1: on the side of hate, racial bigotry, and injustice. The
- 31:52Speaker 1: guy was chanting, Jews will not replace us. What are
- 31:56Speaker 1: you talking about, Donald Trump? I don't understand it. Your
- 32:00Speaker 1: son in law and daughter aren't Jewish. M I mean,
- 32:05Speaker 1: look at one point in time, I mean, you just
- 32:10Speaker 1: have to be smart. That's a that's a thing just
- 32:13Speaker 1: called being smart. And if you're not that and you're
- 32:17Speaker 1: obviously just gonna say what you want to say, that's
- 32:21Speaker 1: it's that's it's an ignorance. That's man. Dog. Look, I
- 32:27Speaker 1: got Racism exists. Please believe me. I know this. I
- 32:32Speaker 1: got it. I know the subtleties of it. I've been
- 32:36Speaker 1: exposed to it. At every level of my life, at
- 32:41Speaker 1: the poets level, at the most well off level. I've seen.
- 32:44Speaker 1: Racism exists at every level in different forms of fact.
- 32:47Speaker 1: Everybody is not a racist, I got that. But we
- 32:52Speaker 1: have a president who is the President of the United States,
- 32:57Speaker 1: who should be at least trying to create the front
- 33:03Speaker 1: of bringing us together, at least fake us. But he
- 33:07Speaker 1: didn't do it as a candidate. Now listen to me.
- 33:09Speaker 1: He was. He was trying to do it as a
- 33:11Speaker 1: candid He's still campaigning. He's in there. I'm telling you, man, this,
- 33:18Speaker 1: this one right here is different. This one is different.
- 33:22Speaker 1: It's a little bit different. See. I love it when
- 33:25Speaker 1: people say I'm not surprised. He was like this. Yeah, yeah, yeah, no,
- 33:28Speaker 1: you are surprised about this. This is a little bit stunning.
- 33:30Speaker 1: I don't give a damn who you are and what
- 33:32Speaker 1: you've seen. And I don't care how many horror movies
- 33:35Speaker 1: you saw. When you saw Exorcist, Yeah that's what scared. Yeah,
- 33:38Speaker 1: you're saying that you would think that the the office,
- 33:41Speaker 1: the highest office in the land, would would make him, uh,
- 33:45Speaker 1: would change him, conform him, make him more presidential, uh,
- 33:49Speaker 1: you know, and and do his job to heal the
- 33:52Speaker 1: country and and all of these things. That's where is
- 33:55Speaker 1: Mike Pence? Now? He can't come fixed this. Spicer he gone, yeah, yeah,
- 34:04Speaker 1: because that breast conference luch got out just in time. Yeah,
- 34:11Speaker 1: he got out. Just what you're gonna say now, But
- 34:16Speaker 1: this right here is wrong for the office and for
- 34:19Speaker 1: him personally as a human being and a man and man.
- 34:23Speaker 1: You just can't condone that in any way and think
- 34:26Speaker 1: this is okay. It's foul. Racism is now fashionable. That's crazy.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Thank you, Mr President. Let's let's take it to miss
- 34:36Speaker 1: hand now, ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, miss and
- 34:42Speaker 1: trip one, Good morning everybody. This is and Trip with
- 34:45Speaker 1: the news. What some observers feeld could be a reaction
- 34:48Speaker 1: to defections. President Trump is dissolving two of his White
- 34:52Speaker 1: House Advisory Council councils in the wake of Trump's reaction
- 34:55Speaker 1: to the violence and murder in Charlottesville last weekend, a
- 34:57Speaker 1: response that was seen as tempered by some, even so
- 35:00Speaker 1: port of a racist and anti semites by others. Several
- 35:03Speaker 1: CEOs have quit now the panels that he set up
- 35:05Speaker 1: in protests, so all the President says he's now disbanding
- 35:08Speaker 1: the American Manufacturing Council and the strategic and policy for him.
- 35:12Speaker 1: The head of the three M Corporation became the latest
- 35:14Speaker 1: business big wig to defect, joining the heads of four
- 35:16Speaker 1: other companies, Intel, Merk Pharmaceutical, under Armour, and Campbell Soup. Meanwhile, Charlettsville, Virginia,
- 35:22Speaker 1: one the young woman who lost her life there, theiry
- 35:24Speaker 1: tree year old Heather Higher, who was run down and
- 35:27Speaker 1: killed by a car driven by a man who marched
- 35:29Speaker 1: with racist Tons of people packed a downtown theater to
- 35:31Speaker 1: pay their last respects and is Higher. All were dressed
- 35:34Speaker 1: in her favorite color, purple, and her mother says her
- 35:37Speaker 1: daughter always stood up for what's right. My child's famous
- 35:40Speaker 1: Facebook post was if you're not outraged, you're not paying attention.
- 35:46Speaker 1: She paid attention. She made a lot of us pay attention.
- 35:50Speaker 1: And Susan Burrow also had a message for all the
- 35:52Speaker 1: white supremacists who might feel they want some sort of
- 35:54Speaker 1: victory with her death. They tried to kill my child
- 35:57Speaker 1: to shut her up. Well, guess what, you're just magnified.
- 36:01Speaker 1: Her rose urgent wanted to turn their anger into righteous action.
- 36:06Speaker 1: In addition, by the way to her daughter to state
- 36:09Speaker 1: troopers who were monitoring security at the weekend rally were
- 36:12Speaker 1: killed when their helicopter crashed. The publisher of the neo
- 36:15Speaker 1: Nazi website called The Daily Stormer says he's now been
- 36:18Speaker 1: basically banned from the entire Internet. Andrew Angland says to
- 36:21Speaker 1: the Associated President email they both go Daddy and Google

- 40:38Speaker 1: coming in next. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Okay, Steve,
- 40:43Speaker 1: you know what, and considering the climate in our country
- 40:47Speaker 1: and everything, and the president's comments and what Jimmy Fallon
- 40:51Speaker 1: had to say, you know, talking to his children, his
- 40:54Speaker 1: two young girls about racism. You know, how do or
- 40:58Speaker 1: how should um I'll say, parents talk to their kids
- 41:01Speaker 1: about racism. I'm gonna be honest with you here. You
- 41:05Speaker 1: know my children, my youngest child is twenty, so they're
- 41:09Speaker 1: old enough to form their own opinions, and they've seen enough.
- 41:13Speaker 1: They've been around me. We've had many, many conversations about this,
- 41:17Speaker 1: and they're out there in the work world not experiencing
- 41:20Speaker 1: different things and learning its very much. Some of the
- 41:23Speaker 1: things I told them actually happens out here, uh, in
- 41:26Speaker 1: different ways. Of course, with technology, you see it all
- 41:30Speaker 1: the time because some coward is always behind a computer
- 41:33Speaker 1: in their world, social media doing racial slayers and stuff
- 41:37Speaker 1: comes out of nowhere. Then when you're go on their page,
- 41:39Speaker 1: is private because you try to find out who there.
- 41:42Speaker 1: Ain't got no real picture, nothing like that. So it's
- 41:45Speaker 1: very difficult now for parents to talk to their children.
- 41:49Speaker 1: This is a difficult one. And I'm gonna tell you
- 41:52Speaker 1: something else. What makes it so difficult for parents to
- 41:56Speaker 1: talk about what's right and wrong in this country in
- 41:59Speaker 1: terms of racist me even though you gotta have the
- 42:01Speaker 1: conversation anyway, it's so crazy that the President of the
- 42:07Speaker 1: United States makes a remark like this, and then you're
- 42:13Speaker 1: sitting there trying to tell your child your teenager the
- 42:18Speaker 1: right way when all over social media is his comments.
- 42:24Speaker 1: The man who holds the highest office in the land
- 42:31Speaker 1: has made a comment that pretty much justifies all hate groups.
- 42:38Speaker 1: How does a president make a comment and then the
- 42:41Speaker 1: Grand Wizard of the KKK thanks him for his honesty
- 42:46Speaker 1: and his courage and for telling the truth. Do you understand, man,
- 42:52Speaker 1: the militia groups, the white supremacy group, the skin hands
- 42:57Speaker 1: land that are not man these numbers. This is a
- 43:01Speaker 1: crazy time that numbers are going to go up, escalate.
- 43:05Speaker 1: But at the same time, they'll never win. They'll never
- 43:12Speaker 1: win because what has happened now is this president has
- 43:19Speaker 1: created a divide in his own party. See, this isn't
- 43:23Speaker 1: a bipartisan issue now. They can't jump on his side
- 43:27Speaker 1: now and go, you know, we're with the president. You
- 43:29Speaker 1: have to understand what he meant by that hand. Quiet, Hannity,
- 43:36Speaker 1: it's over there going well, look at the tape. What
- 43:41Speaker 1: he says is exactly what happened. Look at the tape. People,
- 43:45Speaker 1: Wait a minute, man. The fact that they didn't have
- 43:47Speaker 1: a permit. First of all, you have a permit to
- 43:51Speaker 1: promote hate. First of all, what's wrong with us? Why
- 43:54Speaker 1: are we passing out of a hate permit. But when
- 43:58Speaker 1: somebody don't want to hate, I gotta go get to
- 44:00Speaker 1: permit to I don't need to permit to stop you
- 44:04Speaker 1: from hating me. I don't need to permit for not
- 44:09Speaker 1: to allow you to call me the N word today.
- 44:11Speaker 1: I don't need to permit. Partner said, here go. You
- 44:15Speaker 1: must want this because I have something that comes with
- 44:19Speaker 1: the N word. What. First of all, you get a
- 44:22Speaker 1: live demonstrator. You get a live demonstration. So if you
- 44:29Speaker 1: want to call me one, let me introduce you to someone.
- 44:33Speaker 1: You're not gonna believe him. I just you know, I'm
- 44:37Speaker 1: probably saying some things, but I'm angry because it's yeah,
- 44:45Speaker 1: I'm not disappointed. I'm mad because, man, we got a
- 44:51Speaker 1: system that's flawed. The electoral college vote has got to go.
- 44:57Speaker 1: And now you're sitting change you think that are really over?
- 45:01Speaker 1: I think they may have to look at it. It's
- 45:03Speaker 1: gonna be a hard fight because the Republicans control those
- 45:07Speaker 1: red states down and they're not gonna let that go easy.
- 45:11Speaker 1: What Georgia gets the same vot as Ohio even though
- 45:14Speaker 1: it's nowhere near is populated. Of a place, Mississippi get
- 45:17Speaker 1: the same number as you pretty yeah, yeah, alright, well yeah,
- 45:26Speaker 1: a lot of people are yeah, okay, all right, when
- 45:30Speaker 1: we come back, nephew, Tommy's praying phone call up next.
- 45:34Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up
- 45:38Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, right about four minutes
- 45:40Speaker 1: after I get ready for today's Strawberry letter. But up next,
- 45:45Speaker 1: Come on, nephew, what you got worker's cop just so
- 45:51Speaker 1: matter of fact, worker's car animated. I been on it, man,
- 45:58Speaker 1: I got yeah, I think I have. I got it once. Yeah,
- 46:03Speaker 1: I got it ONCET. You ain't ever got a call
- 46:09Speaker 1: just maternity right away? How would you know? I don't
- 46:17Speaker 1: know what I can't hand on down babies. I'm not
- 46:21Speaker 1: gonna with my legs. I'm just gonna tell you many maternity, Yeah,
- 46:29Speaker 1: pregnant when you wife is back? Can can my baby
- 46:32Speaker 1: be five? And I get it? If your baby is
- 46:35Speaker 1: ill and you have to take time off to deal
- 46:38Speaker 1: with it, he ain't ell like physically, I just think
- 46:41Speaker 1: something wrong with it? So can I just well, hell,
- 46:45Speaker 1: something wrong with it? That? Yeah, I tell you right now.
- 46:50Speaker 1: If you his daddy, there's a high chance you walked
- 46:57Speaker 1: dud right. Yeah, Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach your
- 47:02Speaker 1: Vincent Police. Who's calling my name? Is uh Ed from
- 47:08Speaker 1: the Human Resources? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, definitely. What's what's up? Well?
- 47:13Speaker 1: Vincent wanted first of all check on you. We know
- 47:16Speaker 1: you're got injured here at the job. How are you
- 47:18Speaker 1: doing so far? Yeah, man, I'm I'm making it. Man.
- 47:22Speaker 1: You know, everything's cool and uh, you know, I don't
- 47:26Speaker 1: know how long. The therapy is going pretty good though,
- 47:29Speaker 1: but I'm not right, I'm okay. Therapy is going pretty well. Yeah,
- 47:34Speaker 1: it's they say, I'm doing all right. The pain level
- 47:37Speaker 1: is about maybe a fixed still, but it's getting done
- 47:39Speaker 1: it though. Okay, listen, Uh have you been getting your
- 47:43Speaker 1: your check on time? Yeah, I've been getting a man,
- 47:46Speaker 1: and I appreciate it. But it really helps, man, because
- 47:48Speaker 1: you know, I ain't able to work right now. They
- 47:51Speaker 1: said it's gonna be a little while, so I appreciate that.

- 48:19Speaker 1: I just you know, I've just been taking it either.
- 48:21Speaker 1: I can't do nothing really right now. And they told
- 48:24Speaker 1: me I could do nothing, all right, And then you
- 48:25Speaker 1: do know the rules are that you're not supposed to
- 48:27Speaker 1: do anything to jeopardize your back. Correct, Yeah, yeah, yeah,

- 52:08Speaker 1: that I'm shooting out of y'all. And now you understand
- 52:10Speaker 1: that I understand I need I need you to understand
- 52:13Speaker 1: one more thing. Are you listening to me? Man? You
- 52:15Speaker 1: go ahead man, I'm y'all got me easy, man, And

- 53:14Speaker 1: got me. I got one more question, man, what is
- 53:17Speaker 1: the baddest and I mean the baddest radio show in
- 53:20Speaker 1: the land? Of course, no doubt, man, if the Steve
- 53:23Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show always will be especially y'all got me
- 53:28Speaker 1: like this here, y'all, I'll make y'all proud on No,
- 53:34Speaker 1: proud is not the opperative term here. Stupid. Proud is
- 53:38Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Sure, proud of your stupid that's not
- 53:43Speaker 1: a term. What you just want to high five you're
- 53:48Speaker 1: the king. Yeah, I need some accolad some ground that
- 53:54Speaker 1: because proud of your Yeah, that was a great job.
- 53:57Speaker 1: You played too much. We tell you that every day. Yeah,
- 53:59Speaker 1: and that's the name of my movie. You played it.
- 54:04Speaker 1: That's been the name of it. You didn't come up
- 54:05Speaker 1: with it, Yes, I did. You're here from my turn,
- 54:10Speaker 1: the one that Steve's gonna finance. He ain't gonna do it.
- 54:13Speaker 1: I'm getting out there, man, Why shoot yourself in the foot?
- 54:17Speaker 1: I don't even know about. I asked him, nephew, how
- 54:21Speaker 1: much you looking to raise? Gave it to his manager?
- 54:23Speaker 1: Your manager ain't no, he never mentioned it could be.
- 54:29Speaker 1: What else isn't you how much you try to raise
- 54:33Speaker 1: for your movie three point five million? Why you said
- 54:40Speaker 1: that it mustn't see what kind of movie? That is
- 54:44Speaker 1: a point? We'll be back. Strawberry letter coming up. You're
- 54:53Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Strawberry letter
- 54:57Speaker 1: coming up. Before we get to it, boys, Steve, ready
- 55:00Speaker 1: for this letter. I'm telling you right now, but first
- 55:03Speaker 1: President Obama breaks Twitter record. Former President obama social media
- 55:09Speaker 1: response to the Neo Nazi violence in Charlottesville, Virginia is
- 55:13Speaker 1: the most liked tweet of all time. Obama tweeted a
- 55:18Speaker 1: picture of him looking at four children along with a
- 55:20Speaker 1: quote from Nelson Mandela. It reads, no one is born
- 55:24Speaker 1: hating another person because of the color of his skin,
- 55:27Speaker 1: or his background, or his religion. The tweet has been
- 55:30Speaker 1: liked more than two point nine million times as of
- 55:34Speaker 1: Tuesday night, and retweeted nearly one point two million times.
- 55:39Speaker 1: He is so correct. It's a learned behavior, is not
- 55:44Speaker 1: born with it. No, man, kids when they go, when
- 55:46Speaker 1: they when they meet each other, they just go play. Yes,
- 55:49Speaker 1: they hold each other head dog. They don't care how
- 55:51Speaker 1: white you are, how dog you are. They don't care
- 55:55Speaker 1: I'm about to tech you your hair. They get your
- 55:57Speaker 1: hand and they go play with you because you're you're
- 56:01Speaker 1: a person, and you're my same side and you like
- 56:04Speaker 1: the same things. I want to really talk when we
- 56:09Speaker 1: just playing, and as long as you don't teach them hate.
- 56:13Speaker 1: They don't have. They exhibit no hate. President Trump is
- 56:17Speaker 1: seventy one years old. And I gotta tell you something, man,
- 56:22Speaker 1: this dude has never been in politics. This dude has
- 56:26Speaker 1: been running Trump towers. However he want to run it,
- 56:29Speaker 1: saying whatever you want to say, doing what they want
- 56:31Speaker 1: to say. Because he's been the big cheese. Well now
- 56:35Speaker 1: he's a bigger cheese. He cannot change the way he is.
- 56:42Speaker 1: Always remember this about money. Money and power does not
- 56:46Speaker 1: change people. Well, money and power allows you to be
- 56:50Speaker 1: more of who you really are. Yeah, that's what the
- 56:53Speaker 1: first lady said. It only reveals you, that's all to do.
- 56:58Speaker 1: I didn't see this a long time, like when he
- 57:00Speaker 1: had this TV show and stuff you need to make
- 57:02Speaker 1: cool dude, Oh you're talking about on the printice he
- 57:06Speaker 1: was cool, dude. I just thought it was that's a
- 57:08Speaker 1: rich dude. He really cool. I ain't see none of
- 57:11Speaker 1: this that he can't run the country. I've met him.
- 57:15Speaker 1: I didn't see I've met him before he's president and
- 57:19Speaker 1: the elected president. You could not have seen this. That
- 57:24Speaker 1: campaign rhetoric was if you listen to all of the Republicans,
- 57:28Speaker 1: all of them was saying the same thing. What nothing
- 57:30Speaker 1: but repeal to replaced Obamaca. What he did was as
- 57:33Speaker 1: a celebrity. He called Ruby, oh, you know, a choker.
- 57:37Speaker 1: He called Jeb Bush a low energy guy. You know,
- 57:41Speaker 1: he talked about Ted Crew's wife. You know, I mean,
- 57:47Speaker 1: he was just fine off. He told Jail Bush, your
- 57:51Speaker 1: daddy whatnot? You know, Jail, but he was wanting to
- 57:53Speaker 1: find this man. Two things happened right here. You can't
- 57:57Speaker 1: say a damn thing about my daddy. And when I
- 58:00Speaker 1: see you, you don't nothing happen. And you show talk
- 58:03Speaker 1: about my wife. And then I see you and don't
- 58:05Speaker 1: nothing go down. We may not fight, but we're gonna
- 58:08Speaker 1: have words, some real serious words. You you're gonna think
- 58:12Speaker 1: we're about to do so. But man, that's how. And
- 58:17Speaker 1: he was on the Apprentice and he was just starting
- 58:20Speaker 1: up there saying regular stuff. And he was rich. The
- 58:23Speaker 1: reason he's the president. It's caused people vote for people
- 58:27Speaker 1: who rich. They think they know. They didn't know nothing
- 58:29Speaker 1: about this man. He was rich and he was a
- 58:32Speaker 1: celebrity on TV. It's just that the fifteen of the candidates,
- 58:36Speaker 1: you didn't know who they are. What then cruise come from?
- 58:41Speaker 1: You didn't know that Jack Bush, What are you putting
- 58:42Speaker 1: another bush in the white Yeah, just said Jackson, stay
- 58:46Speaker 1: after the Bush dog and then being causing running nobody
- 58:49Speaker 1: knew being carsing coustic out of Ohio. A nice guy.
- 58:52Speaker 1: He was really the better candidate, but nobody knew him.
- 58:56Speaker 1: You had fifteen nobody's and one TV stars standing up
- 59:00Speaker 1: there saying I'm rich. Hey, I'm a smart guy. But
- 59:03Speaker 1: when he said he don't pay taxes, I thought the
- 59:06Speaker 1: whole race was over. When he said that he grabs
- 59:09Speaker 1: a woman by her pete. When he said that, I said, Okay,
- 59:13Speaker 1: that's over. It ain't no way in the world they're
- 59:15Speaker 1: gonna vote for him. A woman at a rally had
- 59:19Speaker 1: on a shirt with an arrow on her summer pointing
- 59:23Speaker 1: down towards her thing, and the thing said Trump can
- 59:27Speaker 1: grab my Okay, all right, here we go. It's time
- 59:35Speaker 1: for the letter. Buckle up, hold on tight. We got
- 59:37Speaker 1: it for you, Strawberry letter. Even though here we go,
- 59:41Speaker 1: subject hood winked, good morning. All well, here this crap
- 59:48Speaker 1: of a son of a gun goes. I was married
- 59:51Speaker 1: for six years to what I thought was a good man. Well,
- 59:55Speaker 1: the second year of our marriage, he was in a
- 59:57Speaker 1: horrible accident and was paralyzed from the neck down. Well,
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: I switched jobs to take care of him, and people
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: from his job pitched in built rants and workman's camp
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: paid because he was hurt while working. Well, we have
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: to well, we have let me see. Well, I'm sorry.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: Well we had to have three aids because I worked
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: three jobs to make sure he and the kids were okay.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: Ha ha ha. Well, my neighbor came to see me
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: one day and said she was glad to see him
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: up and about. I said, no, you must be mistaken,
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: because he still can't walk. The doctor told us this
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: is all in parentheses. Uh, this injury was only temporary
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: and he would be able to walk again. Well, still
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: the job is helping us. While still the job is
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: helping us as well as his Oh, still the job
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: is helping us as well as his boss, neighbors, friends,
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: and family. Then one day, my five year old daughter said, mommy,
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: daddy can walk. He heard her and said what, baby,
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: You know daddy can't walk. She said, Daddy remember yesterday.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: He said no, honey and started to cry. Well, I
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: started thinking about what my neighbor and my daughter had said,
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: So I told him I was going out of town
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: for a few days and the kids had to be
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: at my mom's. Well, honey, I got the tricks of
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: my life. I came back around twelve midnight and found
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: him up walking and the aid was in her underclothes.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: She had two kids by my husband while he was
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: supposed to be crippled. They were slinking, laughing and having
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: a good old time. Well, I walked in and he said, honey,
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: I was gonna call you. See what the Lord done.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: See what the Lord has done. I grabbed my daughter's
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: plastic ball bat and beat the heck out of him
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: and her. They ran out. I grabbed the baby gun
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: and started shooting. I heard them yelling stop. God did this.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: The next day I called his job, his mama, and
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: my family and told what he had done. Come to
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: find out, for the last two years airs he could walk.
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: Ain't that some sugar, honey? I sed tea. Well, now, well,
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: now his family is mad at me. I know, well,
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: now his family is mad at me, and it's threatened
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: my life and my children's life, which are his kids.
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: I've since moved out of state out of fear. Steve Shirley,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: Tommy Carlo, Was I wrong? I was hurt. I had
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: been taking care of his nasty but wiping him, turning
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: him and whatever he needed. Why is everyone mad at me?
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: I tried my best to be a good wife and
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: I ended up with some horsepoop. Y'all help his sister out,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: signed hoodwinked. After coming, white man, we'll be back with Steve.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: Oh my god, this letter right show? All right, join
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: me live today on Facebook Live to talk about today's
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: Strawberry letter or whatever you want to talk about. It
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: will be one pm Eastern time. You can find me
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: at My Girl Shirley or Shirley Strawberry on Facebook at
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: will be live. But come on Steve with part two
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: of your response to today's Strawberry and this man right
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: here done fake fake a two year paralysis. You don't
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: understand how you can do that. The baby found out,
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: that the neighbor found out, then the wife finds out
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: been married six years. People all at the job, chipping in,
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: feeling ramped, putting in all. Guess what, Guess what what?
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: Baby what? Daddy can't walk? H all right, deer hoodwinked.
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: You know, I just feel so awful for you here.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: You are trying to be like you said, the best
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: wife you could be, taking on three jobs, caretaking for
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: your husband, you know, them, being a mom. I mean,
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: you know you were there for him, you really really
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: uh took the vols to heart in sickness and in health.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: You did everything that you were supposed to do as
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: a wife. But you've been through the ringer as well.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: I mean, I don't understand what kind of low life, nasty,
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: dirty scum snake dog your husband is. I mean, he
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: totally totally disrespected you. He did he lied to you,
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: he cheated on you, he did everything. Why is everybody
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: mad at you? You ask? I don't know. I mean
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: I have an idea, because you you called his job
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: and so now he has no means of support. Okay,
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: so what he should be glad that you didn't kill him,
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: you know, I mean really, I'm not saying that you
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: should have, but he should be. No, no, go ahead,
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: cripple his asked for real. Let's just get to this
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: right here. Can put him down for real? For real?
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: You know, if I'm washing you, flipping you, wiping you,
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: turning you, it ain't nothing wrong with you. I can't
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: figure out how he kept a scam up for two
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: years two years. First of all, how you married his
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: man and for two years he act like he came.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: Move When you sleep, you move, somebody turned over. Try
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: to stay still while you sleep. They had have separate beds,
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: so maybe he got a spreshal hospital bed or something
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: like that. But even in that, he got to move,
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: but she didn't. One morning you wake up, go he
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: on his side. She's not thinking that he flew. Okay,
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: why is his muscle tone still the saint because he's
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: sleeping with the nurse. Okay, girls and guys, we gotta
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: go email us or instagram as your thoughts on today's
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter. At my girls shurely enjoyed me right after
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: the show for Strawberry Letter live on Facebook at one
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: p m. Eastern time. Okay, I'm excited about that, but
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: let's finish this show first. Come on. Steve introduced that
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: girl from the talk ryl under Girl under Wold. That's
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: when I'm talking about, Steve, That's what I'm talking about.
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: I'm on my way to Baltimore to perform for the
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: Baltimore Comedy Club this weekend with Mike Washington. But I
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: got a shout out to Baltimore City Council who voted
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: Monday to remove four Confederate statues from public parks. Then
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: I got a shout out Hollywood, California. Hollywood Forever Cemetery
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: is removing its Confederate monuments, but they're working with the
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: Long Beach Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: See that's what happens when you come together without anger
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: and violence. See. I happened to be in Salem in
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: Alabama this weekend, and I found that one of the
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: last living members of the Courageous Eight, a mighty man
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: of five Beta Sigma, is still alive. Dr Frederick de
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: Rees eighty nine years old. But back in the day
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: he left one hundred and five black teachers to march
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: for voting rights peacefully because hate cannot drive out hate.
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: Only love can do that. And while we salute the
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: life of Heaven High who lost a life in Charlottesville,
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: re remember a Detroit housewife, white girl named Viola Leozo
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: who was volunteering to drive mark Is back and forward
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: to Selma and was murdered by a clansman. See what
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: I gotta ask today, brothers and sisters, is what will
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: you sacrifice for the rights of others. We've got to
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: join together and for all of us that believe that
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: Colin Kaepernick is being black balled because he exercised his
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: right to protest peacefully? Are the black players, employees, players,
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: union inspectators? Are the NFL? Are we gonna stand up
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: for this brother's right to do so? Why did we
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: do it? How do we do it? Gandhi talk and
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: Dr King talked non violence with quiet dignity. Let me
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: tell you about the count of protests, how stupid with
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: racism and biggest look if nobody showed up to argue
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: with them. Let's stop calling that white supremacy because it
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: feeds the notion that something is superior. Let's use our money,
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: our power, and our ingenuity to fund the movement for
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: peace and freedom. Let's vote and organize in the mid
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: term elections. Let's support politicians and Republicans and Democrats who
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: stand up for what is right and no President Trump.
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: You cannot compare George Washington Thomas Jefferson to Robert E.
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: Lee and Stonewall Jackson. While Washington and jeff may have
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: owned slaves, they did not succeed from the union and
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: fight their civil warw for the right to do. So,
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: President Trump, that prejudice that we felt in your campaign
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: cannot be advanced in your present your presidency. Why because
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: you criticize selectively. The brother the CEO of the pharmaceutical company,
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: married Kim Fraser after he resigned from your committee. So
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: that's how you feel about businessmen of color who follow
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: their own mind. See we want we don't want Trump
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: with the F. We won't the dude. That's gonna be
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: Trump with the P. The president. See Trump with the F.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: Fans the flames of bigotry and racism, Trump with a P.
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: Understand that words have power. There's been an increasing hate
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: crimes under your presidency, and we connected to your rhetoric.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: But remember the bully pulpit should be used for good.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: After September eleven, President Bush, words of tolerance led to
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: a decrease in hate crimes. So while we out here
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: talking about the eclipse, don't be so blinded in your
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: hatred that you lose sight of loving your neighbor as
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: you love yourself. I'm out, Steve harf Anod, I'm sorry,
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: I got a little chumped up. The question, the gentleman
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: that you mentioned from Merk is that the seventh business
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: leader who quitch Trump's advisory? I think I think so,
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: and I think he was one of the early ones
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: and early on. Yeah, he was one of the early ones.
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: That's the one they're talking about today. And who they're
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: talking about who they I don't know. They won't give
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: his name, but they're seventh person. Yeah. But see, and
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: let MENA tell you something. We need to use radio,
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: we need to use television. We need to have this discussion,
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: and then we need to teach brothers, sisters how we
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: want you to counter protests so you won't be used negatively.
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: And stop calling that white supremacy because you ain't supreme
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: to nobody. So let's know what you know. I have
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: another name for got another name for for anybody to
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: think they superior to me simply because of the color
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: your skin. That's right, Thank you, Cheryl. We love you girl.
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: Thank you on point. All right up next, sister Odell
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: in the building you're listening to show m Oh, this
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: is interesting sound le ray, my lord, my lord, my
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: lord this morning. If you ain't ever needed the Lord, M,
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: you need him now. M. It's a shame when you
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: realize to Jesus it's all you need. How do you
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: realize Jesus is all you got? No good on it?
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: Everyone was Lord has been a weekend of news, ain't it? Yes, ma'am? Yeah,
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: ain't find a crack this egg open? You see the
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: real color of the yo. I don't yo all happy
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: with it? We got him in, We got to me. Yeah,
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: you got to me and I he'd to flip the script. Yeah,
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: how y'all doing today? What's going on with you? Hi? Junior?
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: Mornuses though down? Your voice is low and just a
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: little bit. You're sick. No, ma'am, it's fine. It's summertime.
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: That's good scause I can help y'all next time you
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: have a crash. That called me, Yes, ma'am, Yes, what
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: would you do? I gotta nie. Someone introduced him to
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: Holy my niece. Is she a nurse or no, she's
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: not a nurse? A downt well, how can she help him? Where?
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: You know? If you get the right blame, put on
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: your right thing. The healing powers I heard out of
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: me at bought a lot of men is back from
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: the day I go on the hospital and put it
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: on you. You're gonna get over Hey, Tommy boy calling hey, sister,
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: out Dale. How you doing, Oh, beautiful, brutalful? Hello, Sherley, Well, hello,
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: sister Odell. I'm doing good, you know, just just didn't
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: do it like everybody else. Yes, ma'am, I guess you've
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: been watching the news hunt. You saw that our president
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: reversed what he said the other day about it, and
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: it's crazy, yes, ma'am, many crazy, and he want to be. Yes, ma'am.
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: You know you turk you for the eight hour to
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: come out and say it. Then you said it, then
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: you're come back and you're on. See it just a
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: rabbit and mine, I ain't never seen nothing could write
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: here right here. He shouldn't have been the president because
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: it ain't nothing president body. That's true. That's true. And
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: he's not a politician, and he's seventy one. The chances
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: of him changing ain't no chance in hell and him.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: You can't teach your old dog a new trim, and
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: it's old dog. Got money here, don't pay no taxes. Yeah,
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: yeah about that, you know. Then there's that. I knew
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: it was gonna be like this, you know, cause of me, daddy.
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: What do you mean, sister, yea, yeah, of course I
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: knew it, daddy, Oh was what was his name? Runs
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: called him Rock Trump one more time Rock Trump. He
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: owned seven eight dash stations in Cleveland. Oh did you
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: ever get gas from one? Yeah? I got gas from
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: a couple of times. You know, I mean we got
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: in a couple of arguments. You know, me and Big Rump.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: What we are arguing about? Well, you know, you know
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: he you know, just being being rich man. He just
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: said something to me one day, told me to head up,
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: and I wasn't about to speed up, so he asked
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: me to help. I drove off. What you rush, dad?
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: You know, didn't pay for the girls. I was the
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: reason that you came up with your sign that's on
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: the pumps. Now pay for your promp. He's called a
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: big romp. Trump told me to hear up. I drove
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: off to you. Now you're gonna how about that Big Trump? Now?
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: How you like me? Now? You know, just situations, you know,
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: you runs into people. And then I was by at
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: one time and I was asking him did he have
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: any more moon pass because you know it's o moon pass.
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: He said he wasn't, kind of no more, and I said,
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: well why not? He said, because that's all the blacks
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: won't when they come in there as a moon pack.
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: He said. Uh so I went on home and I
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: got some cousins that's on, you know, guess on. You
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: know substance abuse programs, you know back then, uh you know,
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: one of them stiff Airplane Blue. And then I had
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: my little nephew that just a flat out crackhead. I
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: went home and told them, and they came up there
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: and burn this gas station down. Okay, no no, no
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: no not not not take another moon pot another day.
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: All this over moon your new moons. Now, since you'll
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: tell for the young people that are listening that may
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: not know what a moonpie is, could you explain that
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: well listen, marshmaller feeling, yes, ma'am. Kind of like a
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: Graham crocker, Graham cracker crushed and the round is about
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: the size of a soft ball. Now you put the
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: marshmall in the middle and then you put the two
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: ground cracking this They shaped lock of mirk and then
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: dived in chocolate vanilla to the use vanilla flavor that
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: ain't year ago calculate is the best one. That's a
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: moon path. Yeah, so that's what they. Oh, I used
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: to do a moon pie too. They had a personal
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: moon pack when I was young. Excuse me, I used
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: to make a personal moon path when I was young.
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: I used to what well I moon you? And then
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: you had your head into a cheat him the clampton shutting.
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: That was a human moon God, that's it. Ain't it
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: ain't Q. But I bet you back then you're the
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: one that your head jammed up in there. I understand
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: that about you when I was Yeah, well, don't look
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: at me, now, look at me? How you like me?
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: Well for the visit today, we learned a lot from you. Uh.
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: Carla's reality update, l come on in. You're listening to
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. It's that time getting ready
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: to get ready, to get ready to getting ready. It
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: is reality update. Okay, nephew, thank you very much. All
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: this is going on in the news. I had a
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: chance to catch up on some trash TV Basketball Wives Reunion,
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: the reunion show. Let me just say this show Strawberry,
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: that thing Jackie Christie love her girl, I love her crazy,
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: I love her crazy. It's crazy. There's no crazy like
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: you look like Christie Christie. Doug Christie, former NBA player.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: She's a very woman. No, he's not on the show.
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: Well sometimes he is on there sometimes, but he's not
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: a regular cast member. She's very attractive. Yeah, Jackie has
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: been married, she's been on the show, and you know
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: her and Doug, they've been married for a very long time. Well, anyway,
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: all season Jackie and Evelyn Lozada, they have been beefing
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: all season long. Here's jack show. Well, you know, changed
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: from break, she's about to go back. Her buttons are
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: getting pushed then fix her life that she had all
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: that head on. Well out Jackie and Evelyn, they have
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: been beefing. So Jackie didn't appreciate Evelyn getting involved in
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: her family business. So here's the deal. Evelyn donated about
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: thirty five hundred dollars to help Jackie's grants on when
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: he was injured in a fire at this daycare. It
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: was a crazy incident. The problem is this, Jackie has
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: this long running feud between her and her daughter, and
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: she felt like Evelyn should not have gotten she shouldn't
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: gotten herself involved in any of her own, you know,
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: her family business. Well, because her daughter, Jackie's daughter started
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: this go fund me page to help her grandson and
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: to raise moneys to help for his care and medical
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: bills and things like that. So Evelyn donated to the
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: right to the go fund me page. So, like I said,
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: Jackie and her daughter have been having issues and they
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: have been feuding. Jackie wanted to get Evelyn back, so
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: she called her names all season, called her daughter's names,
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: and she, like Shirley just says, she really pushed Evelyn's buttons.
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: And like we said, Evelyn returned back to basketball wise,
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: claiming she had changed her bad girl em buttons were pushed.
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: She almost almost not quite. It's there about two more
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: episode will be at this season. It's probably if this continues.
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: So you know, that was the reunion show. It was.
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: It was kind of messy. Folks are trying to figure
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: out what Shawnie. She's not friends with Jackie anymore, and
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: Shannie is more loyal to Evalence. Yeah, but she's producer
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: of the show. Wife. Yeah, gets his ex wife. The
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: questions is Thommas Thomas questions don't scared. I don't want
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: because then next thing when I see him, you know
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: you was on that talking about me. Yeah, well somebody
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: need to be talked about Steve because their behavior. But
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: I decide which I want to I just want to
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: do your time and credit for his and I won't
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: credit for my. Do you have any questions and maybe
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: he had some questions now not about women fighting. Talked
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: about this earlier this week when we recently reported that
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: Evelyn broke off her engagement. Yeah, he is from Houston
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: and she is keeping. She announced that she is keeping
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: that fourteen point five carrot ring and shape her for
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: the engagement, which is valued at over and probably one
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: point four million dollars. Twitter question lips a boy, Carla
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: hit me up on Instagram. Are you on team Evelyn
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: or team Jackie? I think you know everyone is saying
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: Evelyn had good intentions, but you know you can't get
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: involved with other folks kids. What I'm talking to the
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: parents first, I think is what team Jackie point was.
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: But she was going off so crazy trying to make
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: that point, but that is her point. Hit me by, Carla,
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: tell me team Jackie, your team Evelyn. Moving on, There
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: is a new spinoff show from Basketball Wives. It's called
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: Baller Wives. Now. This is a docu. Yes, everybody's married
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: on this show. Everybody light yeah, success fall and retired
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: professional athletes, their wives and their families in Miami and
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: executive producer is Michael Vick, Yes and his wife Khita.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: They are co executive producers on the show. In the
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: premiere episode, Kheva is talking to her husband Michael about
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: his recent comments about quarterback Colin Kaepernick. You remember he
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: talked about his hairstyle and all of this was on
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: social media and on the news. Take a listen to
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: Michael Vick trying to explain what happened. Here we go, Oh,
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: what I said the other day about Cat? Yeah, why
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: does he have to change his hair for him to
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: get a job? He don't. I wasn't referring to the
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: hands that I went on Fox Sports. I was asked
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: about Colin Kaepernick situation. I didn't look at his afro
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: as a symbol of what he believed in. I looked
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: at it that from a style standpoint, you know, from
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: the face of a franchise standpoint. And I realized that
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: I knew I was wrong. What would make you say,
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: get get a haircut anyway? I don't know if job
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: I was wrong. Man, Kia was upset. She's saying what
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: everybody else is saying in my own household. So wife
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: is coming at me. That's tough. And that's when I
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: know I really screwed up. You know what, ka, I
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: shouldn't have said what I said. No, when in any
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: ray should be stereotype based on the when he looked
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: dressed act. But it's the reality of the world we
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: live in. Yes, but that doesn't make it right. And
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: I know you know that that it doesn't make it right.
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: I know I was wrong when I said and where
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: it came out. It's just not no fun having you,
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: you know, in the media again for negative things. It
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: just gives me. But you know what, here's here's here's
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: here's the thing. I do understand what Michael Vick was saying.
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: And people say, why you got to get cut his hair?
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: Why you gotta do this? All of these major athletes
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: that you see, who are tremendous talents, who will not
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: be playing all their life, they're gonna have to get
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: a job endorsing products like peyton in Dawson, products like
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: Cam Newton, and they're gonna have to become sports commentators
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: or something. Look at the billboards and on Madison Avenue.
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: They do not put that on billboards. And unless you
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: want to represent subway a rail fact, they will not
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: put that look on the face of their product. And
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: what the man was saying has a truth to it.
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: It may not be a person shouldn't have to change
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: his look, but your ass gonna have to change a
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: look if you want to be on Madison Avenue. All right, Steve,
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: you are now involved. We will be right back. You're
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, we're back.
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: We're in the middle of Carlo's reality update, and the
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: the guy who was reluctant to get in as always,
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: jumped right in the Fires Avenue. Now, but yeah, joining us.
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: We were talking about balla Wives. That's a spend off
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: of basketb all wise and as co executive producers are
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: Michael Vick and his wife Caheth Vick, and she talks
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: about Michael Vick's statement when he talked about Colin Kaepernick's
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: hair and being in social media. He apologized. He apologizing, Steve,
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: you were saying you agreed with Michael. He said that
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: it came out the wrong way, and I agree with
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: him that it came out the wrong way. But he
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: was saying as the face of the franchise and leading
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: a football team, and I'm telling y'all. That's the way
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: these boys be thinking. He is not wrong. He has
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: been in those meetings and had to hear this. Yeah,
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: Michael Vick had take them corn rows out of his
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: head as the face of the franchise. Look at it, man,
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: And I'm telling you this is what's happened in our
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: real world. This thing called racism is on every single level.
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: It's just done in a more subtle way. So now
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: they can keep you out of certain things based on
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: the way you look, and they don't have to explain
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: it to you. But you keep on thinking that you
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: can just do anything. Look, I'll give you an example.
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: The suits I used to wear, the big wide legs,
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: a big long Jackson buttons on the front. You see
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: who I was? Okay, Okay, cool? You see where I was? Okay?
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: Do you see who I am today? Yeah? You understand
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: the man that I made because I had to understand that,
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: and my wife set me down, explained it to me,
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: and I had to understand that. They could not keep
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: putting that look out front because they couldn't explain it. Now,
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: that's just a suit. So now let's look at your hair.
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: If they can't explain your hair, to the board when
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: they're going there to say, we're gonna pay this man
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: eight million dollars to represent our product, and they cannot
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: explain your look to the board and the board don't
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: look nothing like you. Ain't nobody on sitting on the
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: board looks like you. How you think that's gonna go.
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: I'm telling you, man, what the young cat was trying
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: to say, what Michael Vick was trying to say, has
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: validity behind it. If you talk to superstar athletes, they'll
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: tell you that I got another one for you. Go
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: and look at the Canon Hall of Fame for football.
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: Ain't a corn roll in there. Go in there, man,
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: Go in there and see who they put in the
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: Hall of Fame. And y'all think that, y'all think somebody
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: trying to stop you from being you. You you be
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: and you may not fit everywhere. Now, if that's you
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: want to just ride that out, didn't go ahead. But
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: after you get through playing basketball and you want to
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: sit in these press boxes with the owners, and you
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: want to be on TV, and you want to endorse
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: projects like like Michael Jordan. You know why Cam Newton
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: on everything? Because of how he looked. You know why
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: Lebron James on everything because of how he looked. Now,
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: Kawhi Leonard what's his name over Santtor hell of a
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: basketball player. You don't see him on nothing because they
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: ain't put New car Rolls on note. You can say
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: what you want to say, but he ain't on nothing.
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: So Bism need to change his boy ain't. Nobody's been
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: saying that boy boy Madison Avenue can't do it because
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: they can't explain you to the board members that pay
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: the money. That's just a game, y'all. It's just how
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: it's done. Now. If you don't want to play the game,
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: do what you wanna do. We gotta go. Thank you, Carla.
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: As always, we will be back. You're listening to the
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Facebook is going after hate speech
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: in the wake of the Charlottesville unrest. Facebook is going
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: after hate speech. Did you hear me? The company said
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: yesterday it's pulled at least eight pages or accounts of
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: white supremacists from Facebook and Instagram since the weekend. Those
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: accounts belong to groups including the right wing Death Squad,
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: Genuine Donald Trump, White Nationalist America, White Ringed, White Winged,
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: Night Awakening, Red pill physical removal, awakened masses and Vanguard America. Twitter,
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: YouTube and other sites are also targeting hate and that's
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: a really good thing. Right, This is a question here
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: we go, Come on, let's have it. If Facebook, Twitter,
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: Instagram and all of them are going to be targeting hey,
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: what does that mean the artist? Are they just targeting
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: hate groups? Or if you make hate statements, well yeah,
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: I hate speech hate statements. So the president might not
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: have a Twitter account, I'm just it's good poy because
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: he is the tweeting president. Yeah. Yeah, I was listening
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: to Pence, Vice President Pence comments about the Charlottesville comments
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: and incident yesterday. So he was on TV and he
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: said this, I stand by the president and his words.
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: But as I think he's in Chili today us with yesterday.
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: He said, but I'm I'm in Chili. Our hearts are
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: in Charlottesville, where friends and family are memorializing this absolutely
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: wonderful woman, the the the woman that was killed by
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: the butthole, by this by this member of this hate
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: group who drove into a plowed into a group of
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: people because he hated them, because because they didn't believe
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: that that was Such things as neo Nazis, and they
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: didn't believe in the clan and white supremacy. So now
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: we'll kill all y'all. Okay, that's crazy. So now Pis says,
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: but our hearts are in Charlottesville. And then he says
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: we should stand against anyone or any few who go
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: against the voyage of his country. Well, let me say this.
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: You can't get few within one person. But the one
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: person right now who had the greatest chance to affect
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: it is the president. And he all but condoned and
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: made okay what happened in Charlottesville, and they're right to
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: do that. Now, he didn't he didn't condone the death
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: of this girl. But you pretty much said to these
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: hate groups, there's a place for you because you gotta permit,
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: and the other group didn't even have a permit. And
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: then you say it in such a way that David
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: Duke comes out and says, thank you for your courage
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: and your honesty. But then Trump again blames both sides
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: in Charlottesvie. He won't get off of it. Here's a
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: dude man that who will not say I made a mistake,
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: Michael Vick, and I think we just did yeah, I
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: said I made a mistake. I love Michael vick Man.
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: Just just dude, it's growing. He's trying to he's trying
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: to get it together. Everybody makes mistakes. I just had
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: some crazy stuff. I want some stuff back. You have
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: to say it, really, Steve. Please don't shoot yourself on
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: the foot right here, Please don't do it. I got
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: but I got to go. It ain't day. We gotta go.
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: We'll be back with just one more thing. You're listening
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, it's time to
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: close out the show with just one more thing? What
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: an interesting oh before? Just one more thing? Yeah? What
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: is it? Just one more thing before? Just one more thing?
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: Go ahead? Well, yeah, this rallid they had in Charlotte's
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: in Charlotte Bill, did y'all know that they had take
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: it towards us? Yeah? Yeah? Now anything for pout? Is it?
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: I don't understand. I thought a real around are you're
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: supposed to take a tile and rev around a stick
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: and light it up? Ain't that I supposed to go
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: with Georgia help keeping mosquitoes away? A Protestant getting bit?
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: You know, yes, I have that The manufacturer of the
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: garden torches. They were saddened to see their products used
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: at that white supremacist rally in Charlotte'esville, Virginia. It made
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: a lot of money, though, I'm very upset, and and
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: that's one of the associated with horrible memories of the KKK, right,
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: that's one of the bright lights and all of this,
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: if you can say anything like that, is that you know,
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: people like the manufacturers of tiki torches, and you know
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: other white people you know, are seeing it, Like you
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: said earlier, Steve, they're seeing you know, the air of
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: these people's ways, the hatred. You know, we we shouldn't tolerated.
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: There would be no place for that. I mean, you know,
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: I'm glad to see people standing up and speaking out
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: finally by ourselves. We're not saying that that's what they got,
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: that's what all in the hand. Well, I'm glad, like
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: Sureley just said, the manufacturer shut that down and said
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: don't they don't want their product associated with that kind
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: of right, and the CEOs who stepped off the President's
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: Manufacturing Council. You know, people are taking a stand. People. Yes,
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: you know, listen, I've listened to these hate groups and
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: you sit there, and you have a very very twisted opinion.
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: First of all, of yourself. Let's just start with yourself,
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: that you have convinced yourself that for some reason, you're
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: better than someone else simply because of your skin color.
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: But they go further than that. If your faith is Jewish,
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: you have no right to be here. Then they turn
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: around and go, if your sexual preferences difference, you have
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: no right to be here. And then they go, if
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: your skin color it's different, you have no right to
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: be here. That's amazing, man. So technically, since they want
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: to go by all of that, technically the only people
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: who really belong here are Native Americans. They're the only
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: ones who really should be here. Because the Pinyatta and
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: the mother two boats that may fly, whatever their name was, whatever,
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: what whatever, And I never knew it when they asked me,
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: and testing I didn't give a damn. When they came
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: over here, you was out of line off and you
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: sent the very people that they didn't want. Then they
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: put them on their boats, and they sent him over here.
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: If it were not for the kindness, the sheer kindness
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: of the Native Americans heart, all of you would have died,
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: all of you would have died. You ain't know nothing
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: by living over here. But they nurtured you. They gave
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: you hope, they gave you a chance, They talked you
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: out of farm. They taught you how to cut meat,
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: how to make fur and live. And then what you
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: do in return? You stole everything they had. You took
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: every single thing they had right there. So now technically
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: that's who really belongs here. Oh but you want up
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: that though that wasn't enough, then you're lazy, trifling behind.
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: I didn't want to do the work to grow the
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: crops you needed to live on, and then you went
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: over there, you got us. Hold up, man, hold I
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: keep trying to feel. Ain't got out where this supremacy
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: comes from, Where this this sense of entitlement comes from.
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: When you ain't even really done the work in the
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: first place, and everybody that did the work, you take
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: the credit from them and own it as yours. So
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: see this value of yourself, the way you feel about
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: yourself when you call yourself a neo Nazi, skin head,
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: a supremacy, whatever you call yourself, it's a fake view
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: of who you really are. Because who you really are,
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: you won't tell nobody who you really are, because really
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: what you did was you stole the country. You enslaved
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: the people. That's what you really did. That's what you
- 1:37:47Speaker 1: really did. So now you want to create this false
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: image of yourself and now in order to keep yourself
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: feeling superior and special and entitled. You're not degrade everybody else.
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: You can't blow my candle out to make yours brighter.
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: You're still a little lass flicker that you always been.
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: You still stole America. You still you still imprisoned people.
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: You're brought the Chinese over and made them build around roads.
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: Then when the war broke out, you put all that
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: in prison. Ain't nobody forgot You need to teach you
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: that America has made some mistakes, but America got a
- 1:38:28Speaker 1: chance to get it right. And now people in this
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: country who have been trying desperately to fix the eels
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: and the wrongs. I mean, look, you gotta clap for
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: the ones that at least try, but there's so many
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: trying to hang on to what it used to be.
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: That's why these statues is everywhere. And then you get
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: yourself a museum and you're going there, Look the general
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: leave you. You put all of up in there and
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: you can go by that cry. You can have a
- 1:38:56Speaker 1: little re enactments of the Civil War, but you ain't
- 1:38:59Speaker 1: having war where I'm paying types at and sight the
- 1:39:04Speaker 1: we gotta go wrong. Steve Harvey Contest, No purchase necessary,
