- 2:07Speaker 1: now going only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Ain't
- 2:11Speaker 1: God been good to me? But then again, ain't he
- 2:14Speaker 1: been good to you too? Though? I mean, really, man,
- 2:16Speaker 1: think of all the blessings God has given you, You
- 2:20Speaker 1: know what, that's a good news today, though, y'all, in
- 2:23Speaker 1: the face of all the world being the way it is,
- 2:26Speaker 1: the evilness that's out there, it just it just seems
- 2:29Speaker 1: like that's all that's on the news sometimes. You know,
- 2:32Speaker 1: we got we got news of parents not really standing
- 2:35Speaker 1: up being parents. We got news stories of children turning
- 2:38Speaker 1: on their parents. You got, you got everything, the economy,
- 2:42Speaker 1: you got places you thought you should be beautiful, places
- 2:45Speaker 1: to go. Now they got travel alerts. It's just it's
- 2:48Speaker 1: all over it's it's all over. But the good news
- 2:52Speaker 1: is that's something that you can have in this relationship
- 2:58Speaker 1: with God that gives you a way to deal with
- 3:03Speaker 1: it all. And I'm not saying that it'll protect you
- 3:06Speaker 1: from every single thing out that is happening, because some
- 3:09Speaker 1: things are going to happen to you. You're going to
- 3:13Speaker 1: be in an accident from time to time. You're going
- 3:16Speaker 1: to make a mistake and fall down from time to time.
- 3:19Speaker 1: But man, wouldn't it be incredible to you for you
- 3:22Speaker 1: if you understood that you had some insurance in all
- 3:26Speaker 1: of this that no matter what happened to you, you
- 3:30Speaker 1: know you will cover it. You know, look, insurance companies,
- 3:33Speaker 1: as good as they are, you know, like our friends
- 3:35Speaker 1: that stay farm or any other insurance company. You know
- 3:38Speaker 1: they do, they do some amazing things. Insurance is a really,
- 3:41Speaker 1: really good thing to happen in the event that something
- 3:44Speaker 1: happens to you. You know, you may not want to
- 3:47Speaker 1: pay the premium, but guess what in the event that
- 3:49Speaker 1: something happens to you, that insurance is absolutely critical. Well,
- 3:55Speaker 1: but guess what they cover certain things. You could get
- 3:57Speaker 1: life insurance, you can get all insurance, you can get
- 4:01Speaker 1: accident insurance. You can get health insurance. There is nothing
- 4:06Speaker 1: that you can buy to safeguard you against life's decisions.
- 4:12Speaker 1: You know, if you make a mistake, if you cheat,
- 4:17Speaker 1: if you lie, if you if you fall down and
- 4:21Speaker 1: you can't seem to get it together, and you make
- 4:24Speaker 1: a crazy decision about how you're gonna go about securing
- 4:28Speaker 1: an income, that there are There are no policies you
- 4:31Speaker 1: can buy for that. You can't buy a policy if
- 4:35Speaker 1: you stop being the man you're supposed to be, and
- 4:39Speaker 1: and and and give up on your children. You can't
- 4:42Speaker 1: buy a policy if something happens as a mother and
- 4:45Speaker 1: all of a sudden you're not the mother you're supposed
- 4:47Speaker 1: to be. But there is some insurance coverage out there
- 4:52Speaker 1: for you. And that relationship that you form with God,
- 4:56Speaker 1: that friendship that you form with him, that that a
- 5:00Speaker 1: alliance that you that that partnership, that that prayer that
- 5:04Speaker 1: you put in all the time, there is an insurance
- 5:08Speaker 1: policy that you have taken out when you form a
- 5:12Speaker 1: relationship with your heavenly Father, when you form a friendship,
- 5:16Speaker 1: when you form a bond that protects you, that protects
- 5:21Speaker 1: you when these things happen. In the event that they happen,
- 5:25Speaker 1: now here's a great thing about prayer. Prayer can head
- 5:29Speaker 1: off some stuff from happening. It really really can. Prayer
- 5:32Speaker 1: can prevent some things from happening. You know, I'll give
- 5:36Speaker 1: you an example in my life. Okay, here we go,
- 5:39Speaker 1: because sex is the best way for me to do it.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Because see, what I don't like to do is talk
- 5:43Speaker 1: to people without letting them know. Hey, look I'm in
- 5:46Speaker 1: this hole with you. I feel where yet? Okay, here
- 5:49Speaker 1: we go. I was making some decisions a few years
- 5:54Speaker 1: ago because what I thought I was doing was counterbalancing
- 5:58Speaker 1: something that was happening in life. You know, I thought
- 6:02Speaker 1: that since I wasn't happy, or for whatever the reason
- 6:08Speaker 1: I thought I wasn't happy, if I, as wrong as
- 6:11Speaker 1: I am, wanted to blame somebody else from my unhappiness,
- 6:14Speaker 1: that's that's really. If if I make a bad decision
- 6:17Speaker 1: because I'm thinking I'm unhappy with somebody, hold a partner.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Two wrongs don't make it right, and I make a
- 6:24Speaker 1: decision to do something wrong, and now the consequences come
- 6:29Speaker 1: when I do something wrong. See then that I already know,
- 6:33Speaker 1: as an intelligent thinking man, as most of you are,
- 6:36Speaker 1: that when you do something wrong, that you know there
- 6:40Speaker 1: is a consequence for that. I teach that to my
- 6:43Speaker 1: son's When you do something wrong, there as a consequence.
- 6:45Speaker 1: So as an adult, I fully understood the consequence. And
- 6:49Speaker 1: so what I was doing was I was making some
- 6:51Speaker 1: decisions that was causing some consequences in my life, that
- 6:56Speaker 1: was delaying my happiness, delaying my progress, causing my business
- 7:01Speaker 1: not to go the way it could go, so forth,
- 7:03Speaker 1: and so on. Well, what I started doing was I
- 7:06Speaker 1: took out this insurance policy called Prayer, and I started
- 7:10Speaker 1: putting it in my mix on a daily basis. And
- 7:13Speaker 1: then I started putting it in my mix, you know,
- 7:15Speaker 1: two three times a day. And then I found myself
- 7:18Speaker 1: using it all the time. And then I really started
- 7:21Speaker 1: putting it in when I didn't need any help, when
- 7:24Speaker 1: I wasn't in trouble, I started putting insurance in. I
- 7:27Speaker 1: started making deposits into the bank. I started paying my
- 7:31Speaker 1: premiums down. And Prayer is like a premium, you just
- 7:34Speaker 1: pay into it. Then when situations started coming up, now
- 7:39Speaker 1: it that prayer that I had put in, that in
- 7:42Speaker 1: those premiums I had paid it started preventing me from
- 7:45Speaker 1: making the decisions I was making in the past. Thus,
- 7:49Speaker 1: I didn't have to suffer the consequences. Thus my businesses
- 7:53Speaker 1: didn't have to be delayed in this progress because I
- 7:57Speaker 1: had put some payments on some premiums, taken out an
- 8:00Speaker 1: insurance policy. With my life my real life. I'm talking
- 8:05Speaker 1: about your life where you make your day to day
- 8:07Speaker 1: decisions in I'm not talking about see life insurance is
- 8:11Speaker 1: only good if you die. God has a policy that's avasable,
- 8:16Speaker 1: that's available for you. Why are you living? See? In
- 8:20Speaker 1: order for an insurance policy to pay, something bad got
- 8:23Speaker 1: to happen. Now. There may be some others out there
- 8:26Speaker 1: I don't know nothing about, but all the ones I
- 8:28Speaker 1: got my car insurance, they only come into play if
- 8:32Speaker 1: I have an accident. I have an accident insurance policy
- 8:36Speaker 1: where if something happens to me, I got accident, I got,
- 8:39Speaker 1: I got My voice is covered in case something happened
- 8:42Speaker 1: to that. I got that. But but I got to
- 8:45Speaker 1: not be able to talk to cash that one. You
- 8:48Speaker 1: understand everything I got homeowners insurance. Don't nothing show up
- 8:52Speaker 1: on my homeowners insurance unless it's a flood or fire
- 8:57Speaker 1: of fail. Something bad got to have for my insurance
- 9:01Speaker 1: to even make sense. When you take out the policy
- 9:05Speaker 1: with you, with your heavenly father, when you pay the
- 9:09Speaker 1: premiums of prayer, and that's all it costs. Man, it
- 9:12Speaker 1: ain't you. Ain't got to have no money for this policy.
- 9:15Speaker 1: I put into the policy. It pays me dividends and
- 9:20Speaker 1: benefits for living. Ain't nothing got to go wrong for
- 9:26Speaker 1: me to cash in on this policy. I use this
- 9:30Speaker 1: policy for good things. I give you an example. I
- 9:35Speaker 1: use this policy to ask God to watch over my
- 9:38Speaker 1: family when I travel. Make the decisions to pay your
- 9:42Speaker 1: premiums in prayer, Talk to your heavenly father, get you
- 9:45Speaker 1: some insurance in your life. And when you have little
- 9:48Speaker 1: things like that, keep on stepping. Man. God loves you. Man, Man,
- 9:52Speaker 1: I show hope you talk to God today because guess
- 9:54Speaker 1: what he showed would like to hear from you. That's
- 9:56Speaker 1: for shell you're listening, ladies and gentlemen. I have decided
- 10:05Speaker 1: to get it started today. Well, I cannot take full
- 10:09Speaker 1: credit for this decision because it was God's decision to
- 10:12Speaker 1: wake me up today. I had nothing to do with it.
- 10:15Speaker 1: I really didn't. It was all him. So to him,
- 10:19Speaker 1: I give all the credit, the honor and the glory,
- 10:22Speaker 1: and I thank you for waking me up today, I
- 10:24Speaker 1: really do. So many people don't get this great opportunity,
- 10:28Speaker 1: so I intend to take full advantage of it today.
- 10:31Speaker 1: I intend to give you my level best today heavily. Father.
- 10:36Speaker 1: I intend today to be the light you intended me
- 10:40Speaker 1: to be. And it's gonna start with this his show
- 10:43Speaker 1: right here, I, we and all of us is. It's
- 10:47Speaker 1: gonna give it all. This ain't holding back nothing, not
- 10:53Speaker 1: down what you want and what it is and what
- 10:58Speaker 1: it is it wasn't it gonna be. This is how
- 11:02Speaker 1: you start to show. And if you don't like way
- 11:04Speaker 1: this show started, go listen to somebody else, But they
- 11:07Speaker 1: ain't gonna do it like this. Now. This him, this
- 11:12Speaker 1: him is the real deal. Yes, This that damn Steve
- 11:18Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. And these are the players that make
- 11:23Speaker 1: it what it is. Sirley Strawberry, good money, Steve excited

- 11:58Speaker 1: Now four or five days? This is four and it's
- 12:01Speaker 1: just how long does it lie? You know? They say
- 12:06Speaker 1: technically for every hour after you've been in a place
- 12:11Speaker 1: for a while, for every hour you are behind or ahead.
- 12:17Speaker 1: It takes those many days to adjust when you get back.
- 12:23Speaker 1: And I thought I had it, you know, I thought
- 12:28Speaker 1: I had it yesterday, and then just about four thirty.
- 12:35Speaker 1: You know, I don't know what happened. Just about four thirty,
- 12:39Speaker 1: I just fell asleep standing right there, standing talking to
- 12:46Speaker 1: somebody at the house, and ass just freed. It just
- 12:53Speaker 1: makes you tired because your body clock is all messed up.
- 12:56Speaker 1: It's all messed up. And then when I go to sleep,
- 12:58Speaker 1: I wake up, wake up at three. I don't know
- 13:02Speaker 1: what that is. I've been going down in the gym
- 13:05Speaker 1: trying to I've been taking saunas every morning, trying to
- 13:07Speaker 1: help it, going to the gym by myself. I told
- 13:10Speaker 1: my trainer not to talk to me for a week.

- 13:18Speaker 1: You're mad at your trainer, like juniors mad. It is, well,
- 13:22Speaker 1: you know, I know I gain weight on this trip,

- 13:57Speaker 1: down payment on my first house, and he hooked me
- 14:00Speaker 1: up with a line of credit at a furniture store.
- 14:03Speaker 1: He's in a wheelchair because his left leg was crushed
- 14:05Speaker 1: in a car accident, but he is in physical therapy
- 14:09Speaker 1: and is expected to walk again. He says it is
- 14:13Speaker 1: just a kind gesture because he sees great potential in me.
- 14:17Speaker 1: He's never flirted with me or been inappropriate before. Am
- 14:21Speaker 1: I to believe he's just being kind? Or is this
- 14:25Speaker 1: a test to see if I can be bought? See
- 14:28Speaker 1: why give you a down payment? Own a house? M
- 14:39Speaker 1: and furniture whom She said it right here. He said
- 14:48Speaker 1: it was just a kind gesture, Steve, because he sees

- 16:01Speaker 1: want them. We're gonna let me say this to you.
- 16:04Speaker 1: I bet his wife don't know he did this kind.
- 16:07Speaker 1: She doesn't. I bet you she doesn't. All right, we're
- 16:10Speaker 1: moving on. Mercedes in the DMV says, my husband and
- 16:15Speaker 1: I went to deston a week ago and we hung
- 16:18Speaker 1: out with some vacationers at our hotel bar The next night,
- 16:21Speaker 1: my husband said he was going to get ice, and
- 16:24Speaker 1: he didn't return for two hours. I was worried to
- 16:27Speaker 1: death and went to the bar but didn't see him.
- 16:29Speaker 1: He said he ended up going to the hotel next
- 16:32Speaker 1: door for drinks with the guys, and his phone died.
- 16:35Speaker 1: I noticed he was not wearing underwear when he got back,
- 16:38Speaker 1: but I'm not sure if he'd be. He'd been like
- 16:41Speaker 1: that all day. It's still bothering me. Should I push
- 16:44Speaker 1: the issue? Well, well, stupid, you can push it, but
- 16:51Speaker 1: you ain't gonna get nothing. He locked on his own.
- 16:54Speaker 1: His answer, no drawls, but we didn't put on you know,
- 17:02Speaker 1: I paid on myself a little bit now and I
- 17:04Speaker 1: threw them into trash. We're gonna do anything. Yeah, you
- 17:07Speaker 1: ain't gotta worry about that right there, And I went
- 17:10Speaker 1: nextic that no draws ain't nothing. No draws ain't nothing.
- 17:15Speaker 1: It's when you come home with just one leg in
- 17:18Speaker 1: your draw and the rest of it is bunched up
- 17:21Speaker 1: on the side of your hip and it's making a
- 17:23Speaker 1: knot in your pants. That's when you got problems spotting them.
- 17:26Speaker 1: But you wear underwear every single day. So we on vacation. Yeah,
- 17:32Speaker 1: thank you tommy. Ye see that. Listen to the no

- 17:42Speaker 1: see we off the underwear. So what else you got?
- 17:45Speaker 1: Why did you pack underwear? I packed the underwear because
- 17:51Speaker 1: when we travel, And why you yelling? Why are you
- 17:59Speaker 1: asking me about this? It's underwear. Don't try to turn
- 18:01Speaker 1: this to that. First of all, y'all, y'all harping on
- 18:06Speaker 1: the wrong thing. He went to get ice. He didn't
- 18:12Speaker 1: come back for hours, but he went next dough to
- 18:17Speaker 1: some dude's hotel to drink what right. See, that's why, ladies, y'all.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Don't y'all harp on the wrong piece of issues. It's
- 18:26Speaker 1: these draws y'all concerned about. You gotta nail him down
- 18:31Speaker 1: to what hotel? And what ball? And where's that ice? Bucket?
- 18:39Speaker 1: Where ice? And let's go back all the bar. Let
- 18:43Speaker 1: me we're gonna get and what hotel you in where
- 18:46Speaker 1: you will all night? Because I got ready? What hotel
- 18:51Speaker 1: you in where you got to go get ice? But
- 18:53Speaker 1: that's every hotel, rich man, Yeah, stop get in there.
- 19:01Speaker 1: I didn't stop. Well okay, well never mind, I forgot
- 19:05Speaker 1: to have ice machines old floors. Moment you my Isabel, Yeah,
- 19:14Speaker 1: they got problems. Isabel in Paradise Island says, I'm twenty
- 19:17Speaker 1: six years old and I'm dating a guy that lives
- 19:19Speaker 1: in Miami. He's in medical sales and he visits the
- 19:22Speaker 1: office I work in monthly. He's the first white guy
- 19:25Speaker 1: I've ever dated, so I have had some reservations. He
- 19:29Speaker 1: met my parents and they love him. But I have
- 19:32Speaker 1: a problem because when he's at my office he acts
- 19:35Speaker 1: like he doesn't know me. He said it's best to
- 19:37Speaker 1: keep personal and work life separate. He also never invited
- 19:41Speaker 1: me to Miami and we have been dating six months.
- 19:44Speaker 1: Am I just to flame when he comes to work here? Yeah? Yeah,
- 19:48Speaker 1: and you're not coming to my yeah, wife, would you say,

- 20:07Speaker 1: It don't mean nothing. He meant meet yours, ladies. It's
- 20:11Speaker 1: when he takes you to meet his mama. It's when
- 20:14Speaker 1: the deal is getting sealed. You're just the thing he
- 20:17Speaker 1: do when he comes to the islands. Okay, that's all
- 20:21Speaker 1: you the islander months? Yeah, six months and you ain't
- 20:26Speaker 1: coming to Miami because he got a whole another life
- 20:29Speaker 1: in Miami. Yeah, and a wife and all that. Ye
- 20:32Speaker 1: already in an office acting like he don't know your

- 33:17Speaker 1: get this everyone an independent Commission has issued a detailed
- 33:20Speaker 1: report that says systematic racism is inherent in US police
- 33:24Speaker 1: violence against Black Americans, which the panel says is constitutes
- 33:28Speaker 1: crimes against humanity, and while this commission has no enforcement authority,
- 33:32Speaker 1: it has made specific referrals to the United Nations Human
- 33:36Speaker 1: Rights Council, the International Criminal Court, the US Congress, and
- 33:39Speaker 1: the White House. The referrals call for reparations action to
- 33:43Speaker 1: retool existing law enforcement policing, and for the passage of
- 33:46Speaker 1: legislation aimed at holding cops accountable when black people die
- 33:50Speaker 1: as a result of their encounters with them. Meanwhile, the
- 33:53Speaker 1: panel's calling on the global community to support the International

- 34:30Speaker 1: police approached. Yet, an independent autopsy found out that he
- 34:34Speaker 1: was shot five times with an execution type kill shot
- 34:37Speaker 1: to the back of the head. However, a local judge
- 34:40Speaker 1: ruled against the public release of the video for thirty
- 34:43Speaker 1: to forty five days, supposedly so authorities can complete their investigation. Well,
- 34:48Speaker 1: the reven Al Sharpton's calling that excuse a bunch of bunk,
- 35:00Speaker 1: don't talk like we stop and get nothing on the tape.
- 35:06Speaker 1: There won't be five days, and if they supported in
- 35:10Speaker 1: twenty five days, the sun today. Meanwhile, the FBI has
- 35:14Speaker 1: opened a federal civil rights investigation to Andrey Brown Andrew
- 35:18Speaker 1: Andrew Brown's killing. The beat goes on in South Carolina
- 35:21Speaker 1: Lancaster County. A volunteer fire fire chief resigned over recent
- 35:25Speaker 1: Facebook post that urge your local police to quote stop
- 35:27Speaker 1: responding to these black neighborhoods. It's better if they eventually
- 35:31Speaker 1: kill each other. Hero With that, he's gone. Former Deputy
- 35:33Speaker 1: Sheriff and Georgia fired last November after investigators found a
- 35:36Speaker 1: bunch of racist text him saying that he beat Up
- 35:39Speaker 1: a Black Man, calling its Sweet Stress release and finally
- 35:42Speaker 1: the streaks of Secrets out. Folks at Marvel Comics say
- 35:45Speaker 1: the title of the new sequel to the record breaking
- 35:47Speaker 1: Black Panther film will be We'll Kinda Forever, released July
- 35:53Speaker 1: of next year. Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 36:04Speaker 1: fatally shot five times, including once to the back of
- 36:07Speaker 1: the head, by North Carolina Sheriff's deputies. Authorities have released
- 36:12Speaker 1: few details about what led to the shooting, and state
- 36:15Speaker 1: law requires a court order for the release of bodycam footage.
- 36:19Speaker 1: A judge rule last week the Brown's family would be
- 36:21Speaker 1: allowed to see body camera footage of the shooting, but
- 36:25Speaker 1: the videos would not be made public for thirty days.
- 36:28Speaker 1: Reverend Al Sharpton delivered the eulogy and said, I know
- 36:32Speaker 1: a con game when I see it. Release the whole
- 36:35Speaker 1: tape and let the folks see what happened to Andrew Brown. Wow.
- 36:39Speaker 1: Also in attendance where members of the George Floyd and
- 36:42Speaker 1: Eric Gardner family Garner family who they were there too.
- 36:48Speaker 1: It's real, it's really manly. That's like, you know, for
- 36:52Speaker 1: the other families to go down to support. It's a
- 36:55Speaker 1: shame that we have to have such support groups, you know.
- 36:59Speaker 1: And it's amazing though, because I've met all these women,
- 37:03Speaker 1: you know, at the last Sand and Soul we had.
- 37:09Speaker 1: I remember I bought all the mothers down to just
- 37:13Speaker 1: give them up a trip and bought them up on stage.
- 37:16Speaker 1: We all did, we were there and it's just amazing
- 37:21Speaker 1: to see their strength. And I just know, it's a
- 37:26Speaker 1: shame that we have to do this. Man, we still
- 37:28Speaker 1: have to do it. I just and how disrespectful of
- 37:31Speaker 1: them not to at least let them see what happened.
- 37:34Speaker 1: He's dead now there's nothing they could do about that,
- 37:37Speaker 1: but at least let them know what happened. Surely, surely
- 37:41Speaker 1: that's not what this is. Not about giving them information. Well,
- 37:44Speaker 1: that's about putting the story together. Yeah, well, yeah, of
- 37:48Speaker 1: course that's like that's what con game when I see it. Yeah,
- 37:54Speaker 1: see that that experts that that they've been doing this
- 37:57Speaker 1: for years now, remember this before by cams and social
- 38:02Speaker 1: media and phone cameras, that was nothing to release. Oh yeah,
- 38:06Speaker 1: it was whenever they said here's a police report. That's
- 38:11Speaker 1: what he did, that's what he had. This happies and
- 38:18Speaker 1: it's by miracle we saw Rodney King. That's by miracle
- 38:23Speaker 1: it keeps happening in a non racist country. Wow. Yeah,
- 38:32Speaker 1: that's the amazing part. Wow, you said a lot right there,
- 38:38Speaker 1: you did. You're talking about the country that was stolen
- 38:42Speaker 1: from the beginning, that they stole some people to come
- 38:46Speaker 1: over here and work at it now. Yea, the very one,
- 38:52Speaker 1: the one that had a constitution that said the negro
- 38:56Speaker 1: was three fifths of a human being. Yeah, they took
- 39:02Speaker 1: it out at constitution, but they ain't take it out
- 39:04Speaker 1: their mind. Right there down coming up at thirty four
- 39:08Speaker 1: minutes after, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 42:25Speaker 1: be physically fine. I can't get that back, no more,
- 42:28Speaker 1: I can't. I can't get seventeen back. No, I'm not
- 42:31Speaker 1: going that far back. Me and him argue anyway in
- 42:34Speaker 1: the gym because I'm tired of getting it. Why don't
- 42:36Speaker 1: you get it sometime? Manh Yeah? Who you're talking to
- 42:38Speaker 1: your social media? Yeah, that's the ground page me and

- 43:27Speaker 1: killing now, all right? Coming up next to the nephew
- 43:31Speaker 1: with the prank phone call for today. Right after this,
- 43:34Speaker 1: you're listening to show coming up at the top of
- 43:39Speaker 1: the hour, right about four minutes after it's my strawberry

- 45:07Speaker 1: room without the refrigerator. Well, I don't know who is
- 45:10Speaker 1: everybody or whatever, but I ain't eating nothing the refrigerator.
- 45:13Speaker 1: I go out and get my own food. Bro, I
- 45:14Speaker 1: go out and get my own foods. So I don't
- 45:16Speaker 1: know what you're talking about right now. And let me
- 45:18Speaker 1: tell you. Let me say let me say this, let
- 45:20Speaker 1: me say this to your let me say this to you.
- 45:22Speaker 1: All right, I'm coming by your cubica. Mare. I see anything,

- 45:40Speaker 1: did that, I'm telling you that right now, So you

- 46:00Speaker 1: I always eating everybody's stuff up. They can say whatever
- 46:03Speaker 1: they want to say. That don't mean that I was

- 47:09Speaker 1: You're ready to eat my food and somebody that ate
- 47:11Speaker 1: my barbecue ribs and then everybody saying, Erica want I

- 47:26Speaker 1: that was good as I'm so glad I took that.
- 47:30Speaker 1: Damn I'm so glad. Oh, so you're admitting it. Now. No,
- 47:33Speaker 1: I'm telling you what you want to hear, Quincy, that's
- 47:35Speaker 1: what I'm doing right now. I'm okay, okay, okay, that's
- 47:39Speaker 1: that's your tomorrow, that show, that show tomorrow to Cuba.

- 48:07Speaker 1: it's it's it's it's it's whatever. At this point, Eric,
- 48:10Speaker 1: it's whatever. It's whatever. Okay, it's you know what matter fact,
- 48:14Speaker 1: I'm gonna I'm gonna let the Shade know what's up.

- 50:05Speaker 1: be pranks side. Thank you. You know what amazes me
- 50:09Speaker 1: is I don't know where, whoever the original idea of
- 50:17Speaker 1: doing this even come from. What made you think that
- 50:21Speaker 1: it would be smart to make a living putting your
- 50:24Speaker 1: life in jeopardy? And these guys are down you many
- 50:34Speaker 1: years ago. You don't remember how this started? Years ago?
- 50:39Speaker 1: What you doing pranks? Yeah? You know, remember y'all remember
- 50:42Speaker 1: how it started? I went, I know, I went to uh.
- 50:47Speaker 1: Ricky invited me to his place in Burma. He invited
- 50:50Speaker 1: a bunch of comedians to his place. He was trying
- 50:52Speaker 1: to make a compilation album, and every everybody did a
- 50:56Speaker 1: particular prank. And I got back and Steve People was like,
- 51:01Speaker 1: hell your ass doing down there with Ricky? We're doing prank?
- 51:05Speaker 1: Come homes. Why you're gonna do your own damn prank? Cock?
- 51:08Speaker 1: And there was us not understanding. Give it away, my
- 51:14Speaker 1: talent to somebody didn't quite get that the prankster was born. Wow,
- 51:28Speaker 1: the king and now you've become king. Yeah, well, but
- 51:35Speaker 1: I like how they're not backing down. Tell me, I
- 51:38Speaker 1: don't think you could ever do a live prank. I
- 51:41Speaker 1: think I think it would go well for you. Oh yes, okay,
- 51:45Speaker 1: no no, no, no, no no, no, oh yes I

- 51:59Speaker 1: we can, and you might get into a fight for real.
- 52:10Speaker 1: He was not backing down like he can't do it
- 52:13Speaker 1: in person. Yeah. Yeah, you can't walk up to nobody
- 52:17Speaker 1: and say none of it. Oh, but I bet you
- 52:19Speaker 1: I can stand behind the scene and do it Ashton
- 52:21Speaker 1: Cushoner style. I bet you I can do that. That
- 52:24Speaker 1: would be cool. I can navigate it. Yeah, I could
- 52:28Speaker 1: do it, ask the Cushoner style. You gotta get out
- 52:31Speaker 1: of sight because these people are serious because you come up.
- 52:35Speaker 1: You're so creative with your pranks to begin with. I
- 52:39Speaker 1: don't know Tommy. All right, well, thank you, great job,

- 53:16Speaker 1: it could be yours. Bugle up and hold on tight.
- 53:19Speaker 1: We got it for you here it is. It's a
- 53:21Speaker 1: Strawberry letter subject all of her men are in jail.
- 53:26Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm a single mother of two children,
- 53:29Speaker 1: and I had my first child when I was sixteen
- 53:32Speaker 1: years old. My oldest daughter is twenty eight years old
- 53:35Speaker 1: now and my youngest is twenty six. As my daughters
- 53:38Speaker 1: grew up, I had a lot of different men around
- 53:41Speaker 1: them before I settled down with a man that was
- 53:43Speaker 1: in prison. I made lots of bad choices and did
- 53:47Speaker 1: things I regret all for this man. When he was
- 53:50Speaker 1: released from jail, I let him move in with us,
- 53:53Speaker 1: and he brought the criminal element in my home and
- 53:56Speaker 1: showed my girls how to hustle and be street smart.
- 54:00Speaker 1: I repent it for my mistakes in the past and
- 54:02Speaker 1: asked my daughters for forgiveness. I'm happy that my younger
- 54:06Speaker 1: daughter is married. She's a great mom and she's a hairstylist.
- 54:10Speaker 1: My older daughter is a huge problem though. She fell
- 54:14Speaker 1: in with the streets and she ended up being a
- 54:17Speaker 1: teen parent like me, and has made all of the
- 54:20Speaker 1: mistakes I made at an early age. She sold weed
- 54:24Speaker 1: when she was in her early twenties. Even though I
- 54:26Speaker 1: provided for her and her child, she just chose to
- 54:30Speaker 1: do what she wanted to do. Now she's so called
- 54:33Speaker 1: dating three guys in jail and proud of it. Her
- 54:36Speaker 1: daughter is eleven, and she takes her to the jail
- 54:38Speaker 1: to see her father every month. I can't do anything
- 54:41Speaker 1: about that since it's her dad. When she goes to
- 54:44Speaker 1: see the other two men in jail, I've asked her
- 54:47Speaker 1: to let me keep my grandchild. The guys are at
- 54:50Speaker 1: different jails throughout the States, so she juggles visits and
- 54:54Speaker 1: phone calls all day. I don't know how, but all
- 54:58Speaker 1: of the men give her money, so she thinks she's
- 55:00Speaker 1: got it made. I invited her to church, and I
- 55:03Speaker 1: gave her job applications for good paying jobs, but she's
- 55:06Speaker 1: not interested. Is there a better way to reach her?
- 55:10Speaker 1: Or should I let go and let God? Yeah? A
- 55:14Speaker 1: hard letter. This is a hard letter, Steve, And and
- 55:18Speaker 1: you ask, um, she asks, should I let go and
- 55:21Speaker 1: let God? I mean, that's pretty much all you can
- 55:24Speaker 1: do right now is to let go and let God.
- 55:26Speaker 1: Because she's a grown woman and you can't make her.
- 55:29Speaker 1: You can't force her to do what you used to do, um,
- 55:34Speaker 1: and are not doing anymore. She's not hearing anything that
- 55:38Speaker 1: you have to say. Mom. She's seen your life example,
- 55:41Speaker 1: even now you've turned your life around, and how your
- 55:45Speaker 1: other daughter lives. She's seen all of that, and she
- 55:47Speaker 1: still chooses these streets and these prison guys. So I
- 55:52Speaker 1: mean to to you, Mom, no matter what we do
- 55:56Speaker 1: as parents, bad or good, um, our children still make
- 56:00Speaker 1: their own decisions and choices, and sometimes terrible and in
- 56:04Speaker 1: her case terrible. I mean, maybe you can try to
- 56:07Speaker 1: save your granddaughter from this life if you can, So,
- 56:11Speaker 1: I say, continue to remind your daughter that her child
- 56:15Speaker 1: sees everything that she's doing, just like she saw everything
- 56:18Speaker 1: you were doing and does she needs to break the cycle.
- 56:21Speaker 1: She really does. If you can reason with her at all.
- 56:24Speaker 1: Maybe she'll hear you at some point and change her
- 56:27Speaker 1: life around so her daughter can have a chance and
- 56:30Speaker 1: won't follow in her mom's footsteps. At least, you know,
- 56:33Speaker 1: stop taking her to prison to see these other men
- 56:36Speaker 1: that aren't even her dads. I mean, that's my suggestion
- 56:40Speaker 1: to you. At least continue to try to save your granddaughter. Steve.
- 56:46Speaker 1: This is a sad letter man, really is, and it
- 56:51Speaker 1: just goes to show you how we can fall into
- 56:56Speaker 1: what some people call generational curses. But general generational curses
- 57:03Speaker 1: do not have to exist. They don't because at one
- 57:08Speaker 1: point in time, it's simply as as I'm really simplifying
- 57:14Speaker 1: the matter, but it's really that something. It just becomes
- 57:17Speaker 1: choices and everybody has the power of choice. That's when
- 57:24Speaker 1: God created us as human beings. We were the one
- 57:29Speaker 1: creature that he gave the power of choice to. No
- 57:34Speaker 1: other creature has the power of choice. Dogs have to
- 57:37Speaker 1: be dogs, Cows have to be cows, Monkeys have to
- 57:42Speaker 1: be monkeys. They have to do this a certain way.
- 57:45Speaker 1: This is it. There's no choice. They don't get to
- 57:47Speaker 1: pick who they mate with. They can't go outside. They
- 57:52Speaker 1: species that ain't high this work. We are the only
- 57:56Speaker 1: ones who have choice. Now, you made some bad decisions
- 57:59Speaker 1: as a young person. Ask half we all ye had
- 58:03Speaker 1: the first baby, it's sixteen, You've had two daughters. You
- 58:09Speaker 1: you you regret this man that you had a relationship
- 58:14Speaker 1: with and he was in jail and you let him
- 58:17Speaker 1: move in with you all, and he brought the criminal,
- 58:19Speaker 1: criminal element to the house, and he showed you girls
- 58:21Speaker 1: how to hustle and be street smart. Now you repent
- 58:25Speaker 1: it for your mistakes in the past, and you've even
- 58:28Speaker 1: asked your daughters for forgiveness. One of your daughters is
- 58:31Speaker 1: married hairstylist with the baby. But the oldest one is
- 58:35Speaker 1: off the chain, and she's making all the mistakes that
- 58:39Speaker 1: you made at an early age, selling weed. She in
- 58:42Speaker 1: her twenties, even though you provided for her and a child.
- 58:46Speaker 1: But here's the issue. She's dating three guys in jail
- 58:49Speaker 1: and proud of it. So her daughter's eleven, takes her
- 58:53Speaker 1: to jail to see her father every month. Okay, I
- 58:56Speaker 1: ain't mad at that. I can't doing that, but she
- 58:58Speaker 1: takes her to visit the other two men in jail.
- 59:03Speaker 1: Here's the problem you're creating for this young daughter. You're
- 59:07Speaker 1: making this an act of normalcy. And you cannot do
- 59:14Speaker 1: that because you're ingraining it in the child that this
- 59:19Speaker 1: is who men are and this is what we do
- 59:23Speaker 1: to support them, and mommy, this is your daddy. But
- 59:27Speaker 1: these other two men it's okay too. And you're making
- 59:31Speaker 1: something really really bad for this child normal. That's the
- 59:35Speaker 1: part that has to stop. I have more when we
- 59:37Speaker 1: come back, all right, Steve. Hang on for part two
- 59:41Speaker 1: of Steve's response to the Strawberry letter. All of her
- 59:44Speaker 1: men are in jail. We'll get back into it at
- 59:46Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour. Right after this you're
- 59:49Speaker 1: listening to show. All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap
- 59:54Speaker 1: today's Strawberry letter. The subject all her men are in jail. Well,
- 59:59Speaker 1: this woman who's made some mistakes as a young person repented.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: She's had two daughters. One was when she was sixteen,
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: oldest daughters twenty eight. One of the daughters is married,
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: has a job as a heftylers and raising her daughter.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: The other one is while selling weed in her twenties,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: and she's dating three men in jail. One of them
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: is the father, and she takes the eleven year old
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: girl to visit her father every month because that's her dad.
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: I got that. But the other men that she'd taking
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: them too, is the problem. You're making this child at eleven,
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: which she's old enough to get a little bit of horsepan.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: She's really old enough to get what's going on here.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: My mama goes to see my daddy, but my mama
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: also goes to see this other men, and they talk
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: about how they miss each other. The baby got to
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: sit there. When you go to jail for visitation, they
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: don't have playpin for the kids. No, everybody got to
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: go in there and sit across the glass. Everybody got
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: to sit on the other side of that phone or
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: everybody sitting County jail ain't no contact. So I don't
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: think not none I know about. So anyway, you created
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: an act of normalcy for this daughter that's gonna come
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: back to bite you in the worst way because she's
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: at a very impressionable age. Now the guys are in
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: different jails throughout the state, so she juggles the visits
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: and the phone calls all day. Now, the lady in
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: the letter say she don't know how, but all the
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: men give her money. Well, let's think about that. While
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: they in jail probably for a crime. Eighty percent of
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: people in prison the day or for a non violent
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: drug related offensis. That's a fact. So let's just say
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: they so we too, or something else, and they got
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: a little money in the stand, and they got a
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: boy that can give them money to her because she
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: acted like she down with them while they locked away.
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: She playing the game. That's the street smart that the
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: man that you bought into the house taught her how
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: to do. But she's elevated. Now. You can stop beating
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: yourself up about this because, like Shirley said, and I've
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: said a million times, you can raise your child, but
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: once they're adults, they can go and make any decision
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: they want, and it can go against everything you've tried
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: to teach them as a parent. And for all of
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: you parents who are not at that age yet, I
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: am telling you to buckle up fast in your seatbelt
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: because in parenting, once they get grown, they can make decisions.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: Now hopefully the decisions they'll be able to recover from.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: But they gotta make some mistakes. All of us made mistakes.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: You just hope that you're children make the mistakes and
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: stay close enough to your teachings that when they do
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: get it right, they walk back towards the light or
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: you run into this situation and to take them a
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: while to come back to the light. Oh but she's
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: gonna come back to the light just like you did.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: Because see, something's gonna happen in your life to make
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: you go have to go somewhere and sit down. It
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: happens to us all. Ain't nobody being tricking their whole
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: life without no scar tissue. Ain't nobody getting away in
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: life without no damaged consequences. Ain't no whole body going
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: through life without getting their own ass bank rolled. Please understand,
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: I promise you something is going to happen to sit
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: her ass down. It may be jail, but something gonna
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: happen to get your undivided attention. What we hope is
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: that our children gets the attention before the attention getter
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: becomes the state. Yeah, because when the state come get
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: your attention, kind of like the RS. You know, you
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: cannot pay seeds, you cannot send visa date money, but
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: that United States Treasury, you guys to pay them people,
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: because if you don't pay them, they come for you.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: They freeze accounts. See taxes is like sin. It casts
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: you more than you want to pay, and it makes
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: you stay longer than you want to stay. I've had
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: an account frozen before, or they had my attention. Then
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: I got the money and I went out there and
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: pay them. It was thirty days before they unfrozen. Oh,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: they taught my ass a valuable lesson. Oh they takes
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: their time unfreezinging. I was talking to an r S
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: agent one time. He says, well, it's kind of you know,
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: once you come down there and pay us, it took
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: us so long to get it. We ain't even know
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: harry on freezing. Just because you paid it Friday, you
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: want it lifted monday's work. He said, No, that ain't
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: high work. It took us. You know how long it
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: took us to get this money from you? He said,
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: So that's it. So it's gonna happen to your daughter.
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: Hate to say this. You've made the right thing by
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: offering a good paying jobs and trying to get her
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: to come to church. She don't want to have nothing
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: to do with it, but life gonna get her attention.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: Sad to say it. So like you say, just let
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: go and let God period. She can do. Yeah, all right,
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: thank you, Steve. Post your comments on Today's Strawberry Letter
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: at Steve RVFM and Instagram and Facebook. Check out the
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter podcast on demand and coming up at forty
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: six minutes after the hour, we'll have some sports talk
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: with Junior right after this you're listening show. All right, guys,
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: here we go. Junior is here with sports talk. What
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: you got Junior? Okay, Schrey, But first, let's remind everybody
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: that June fifth, the Kiers Hope Sickle Cell Foundation Third
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: Annual Walk will be having it at the Margaret Hunt
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: Hill Bridge. Go to kiers Hope dot org. That's kiers
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: Hope dot org and registered today. Man, and help me
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: help these kids with this sickle cell. Man. I want
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: these families to have them a nice Christmas. So this
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: is this is a big race for and we're back
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: after COVID, so this is gonna be fun. Can't wait
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: to see yall down there in Dallas. Man, It's gonna beautiful.
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: All right, we were sitting in the barbershop, Man, last week,
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: we had this conversation. The draft is over. Everybody's been drafted.
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: All the players have gone, they gone, they drafted. Cameras
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: is gone now and we were talking about, like the
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: average span of an NFL career is two and a
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: half years, about two and a half years, you know,
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: and some of the players, Man, I believe it not. Man,
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: I've had friends who playing NFL and fifteen percent of
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: them file for bankruptcy after two and a half years
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: of playing in the league. Wow, yeah, if team percent. Man,
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: And one of my friends, he would tell you saying, Man,
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: the pressure that he had not from just playing ball,
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: but trying to take care of everybody. Yeah, you know,
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: taking care of his mom, taking care of his aunts,
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: taking care of his cousin. Any problems arise, everything on
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: his first salary, So you know you're gonna send money. Man,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: Is that any advice you could get them? What they
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: should do first? Let's get on the list, you know,
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: because because they was there for you. See, um, black
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: people are really the only ones who are held to
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: this thing. I was there for you. I remember you
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: when I held you down when nobody else would about
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: how to play football. Boy. I first one throw the
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: ball to you. Yeah, I took you to camps. I
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: went out there to see all your games. Because if
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: you look, it happens in white families. Too. You see
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: them all gathered in the living room. Some of them
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: are genuinely wanting the best for the athlete, but many
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: of them look at it as a ticket. And there
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: is immense pressure because all of these athletes suffer from
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: the most useless emotion ever created, which is guilt. And
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: that's a hardwood man. And then oh man, you got
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: this money, man, congratulation, dog man, can you help me out? Man?
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: Always knew you was gonna make it. That's very real
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: and it's hard. But you've got to form a circle,
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: an insulation to protect you. You have to have a
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: way for people to have to reach you, because if
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: you don't, it'll come back. Now, we can come back
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: and I can give you some sound advice about what
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: I've learned to do over the years. Yeah, if you won't, okay,
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: we'll be back with some financial advice from Steve Harvey
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: at the top of the hour. Right after this, you're
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: listening to a right Steve. Before we left for a break,
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: you were helping Junior sort out you know why these
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: football players are so broken? What to do? And at
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: giving advice? Well, I mean after you're broke is too late, Yeah,
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: because because you can't get broke money back. That's how
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: you broke. You can never get broke money back. You
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: got to go produce new income. So that's water over
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: the damn. If you're already broke, it's nothing I could
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: tell you except moving forward as you go get your
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: new money. Because it happened to me. I had money,
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: I became broke. I got it back. I learned a
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: couple of things. First of all, payers won't successful people
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: right now. Let me tell you something. If you're the
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: first college graduate here, they come. If you're the only
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: one that's a supervisor down the job. If you work
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: on the Steve Harvey Morning Show, your mirror association with me,
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: your life must be yes, all that and a bad
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: chips because you're sitting right up there with Steve. Yeah,
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: I know you all are catching it, just like all
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: of my children catching just guilty by association. So here's
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: a couple of things, and it's not necessarily in this order.
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: But first of all, have yourself a designated amount or
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: that you're gonna delve out because you're gonna delve out money. Oh,
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: it's a designated amount, and you ain't go you can't
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: go past that amount. Period after that you don't have it,
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: and you don't have it because you spent the designated amount.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: See that's a very smart thing to do. Hey man,
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: I ain't got it. I'm sorry, but all that money
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: I had allegated. Man, it's gone. Man. So many people
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: came and ain't that money up. I'm bad man. Maybe
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: next time, bro, but it designated him out. Number two.
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: I call it the first Thing's first rule, and that
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: is first things. First for me was my MoMA and
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: daddy because I felt like I owed them. And that's
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: very true and real. If your mama been hustling to
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: get you here, you ought to get your mama house.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: I got that. But I call it the first Thing's
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: first rule. And until they get taken care of, everybody
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: in the family has to understand that. Hey man, hold up, holo,
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: hold up. I know what you need, but right now
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: I'm working on taking care of mama, nel mom and daddy,
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: and I gotta put this money together for their house. Man,
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: So pull up, and most people in your family going, well,
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: he do got to take care of his mama. They
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: got that much sense, you got you dealing with a
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: real food that turns around and say man, give Dan
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: what your mamma want. You're dealing with a food See,
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: won't they say that? Then you ain't got to talk
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: to the ass No more, right, So you get the
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: first things first. The next thing you have to create
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: is a buffer. You've got to get. Hey, man, you
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: got to call my financial manager. All requests go through
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: him because I'm on a budget, and so put your
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: request in. Oh it's a little embarrassing to go to
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: the financial planet with your ignorant ass request. I'm like, what, Steve,
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: he man, I'm I'm I'm trying to print a T
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: shirts so with all of with all the people's names
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: on it that's been suffering from police brutality, and I'm
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: gonna sell it. That's the business I've got and I
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: need a hundred thous Oh my good to make some
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: T shirts. Who. So see, once you have a buffer,
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: it lessens and it creates I'm I got to go
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: through somebody and they can create the excuse for you
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: that money's been allocated and then we can put you
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: back down into the designated amount pile. Well, we can't
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: give you that, but we can give you five hundred.
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: Will that help you? Because this is all we have
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: allocated for this. So those three things, a designated amount,
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: the first things first, and a buffer. Those things will
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: help you out greatly. And that's that's great advice. Thank you,
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: financial advice I've done at all. Yeah, all right, we'll
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: at twenty minutes after the hour right after this you're
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: listening to show. All right, guys, this is one of
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: our favorite days because we love our teachers, and today
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: is Teacher Appreciation Day. Love love our teachers and the
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: fun jobs that they do. Thank you all so very
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: much for what you do teaching our kids, especially this
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: past year, including teaching our kids virtually and in person.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: So Steve, you played a teacher on TV, remember that,
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: mister high Tower. But I really wouldn't know you do.
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: We appreciate you. Shout out to the educators man everywhere.
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: We realize doing the pandemic how important y'all wold if
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: you didn't realize before, then, right you really? Yes? Yes, yes,
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: parents were struggling trying to teach the kids. Don't nobody
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: knows seventh grade. See, I'm very fortunate I'm passed that
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: age with my kids because i probably would have just
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: went in there and told him, you know, look, we're
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: gonna drop out, and I can help you if you
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: do that. But if you stay in school, I ain't
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: gonna be able to help you. But if you drop out,
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: I can really, I can really help you through that
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: process because I ain't got no education either. But if
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: you're trying to get this dammn degree, I'm gonna have
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: to let you know, probably gonna have to drop out. Lord.
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: More of the Steve Harvey Morning Show show coming up
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: with thirty three minutes after right after this you're listening
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: to show. Yesterday, Andrew Brown Junior was late to rest
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: twelve days after he was fatally shot five times, including
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: once to the back of the head, by North Carolina
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: Sheriff's Deputies authority. These have released few details about what
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: led to the shooting, and state law requires a court
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: order for the release of bodycam footage. A judge rule
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: last week the Brown's family would be allowed to see
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: body camera footage of the shooting, but the videos would
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: not be made public for thirty days. Reverend Al Sharpton
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: delivered the eulogy and said, I know a con game
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: when I see it released the whole tape and let
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: the folks see what happened to Andrew Brown. Wow. Also
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: in attendance where members of the George Floyd and Eric
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: Gardner family Gardner family while they were there too. It's
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: really it's really man's like, you know, for the other
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: families to go down to support. It's a shame that
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: we have to have such support groups, you know. And
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: it's amazing though, because I've met all these women, you know,
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: the mothers at the last Sand and Soul we had, Yes,
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: I remember I bought all the mothers down to just
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: give them up a trip and bought them up on stage.
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: We all did, we were ask and it's just amazing
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: to see their strength. And I just know it's a
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: shame that we have to do this. Man, we still
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: have to do it. I just and how disrespectful of
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: them not to at least let them see what happened.
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: He's dead now there's nothing they could do about that,
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: but at least let them know what happens. Surely, surely
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: that's not what this is. Not about giving them information, Well,
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: that's about putting the story together. Yeah, well yeah, of course,
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: that's like that's what I said. I know a con
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: game when I see it. Yeah, see that that experts
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: at that. They've been doing this for years now. Remember
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: this before body cams and social media and phone cameras.
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: That was nothing to release. Oh yeah, it was whatever
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: they said was here's a police report. That's what he did,
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: it's what he had. And it's by miracle we saw
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: Rodney King. That's by miracle it keeps happening in a
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: non racist country. Wow. Yeah, that's the amazing part. Wow,
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: you said a lot right there, you did. You're talking
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: about the country that was stolen from the beginning, that
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: they stole some people to come over here and work
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: at it. Yeah, the very one, the one that had
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: a constitution that said the negro was three fifths of
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: a human being. They took it out constitution, but they
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: didn't take it out their minds. Write that down. Coming
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: up it as our last break of the day, and
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: at forty nine minutes after the hour, we got some
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: closing remarks from the one and only Steve Harvey. Right
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to all right, here we are, guys,
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: our last break of the day. It's been a good Tuesday.
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: We're moving right along, and of course here's Steve Harvey
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: with the closing remarks. Well, you know, I've been thinking
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: about this. I spoke yesterday about oh, America being called
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: racist country. I just questioned some things. You know, if
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: it's not racist, just can you explain a few things
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: to me yesterday? Well, I've been watching and I watched
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: Rick Santorum on CNN try to explain away his comments
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: that America they didn't still America a miracle, was nothing
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: and they built it from scratch. It is amazing how
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: the narrative gets fix to continue to just make this
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: thing called America appears so great to everybody. And Okay,
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: I guess, I guess I want to say today it's
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: not that we don't see the opportunity here in America.
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: It's not that we don't have a shot at the
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: opportunities in America. It's just that's for many of us,
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: it's not only so hard to see, but it's really
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: really difficult to get to, you know, because it's so
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: many things that are in the way. You know, the
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: lies that's been told, it's just unbelievable. I don't know
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: if you pay attention to it. Let's start with the
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: latest lie that the election was stolen. Let's start with
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: this lie right here. Are you really serious, man? Do
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: you think there's no evidence with all of the technology
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: that's out there, all of the social media, all of
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: the forensic science, all of the computers, all the cameras,
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: all of the Republicans that work in voting, it's just
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: as many as Democrats, if not more, that work in
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: voting that they can't find one shred of evidence of
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: any widespread voter fraud that would affect the election. Even
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: when you have a recount, there ain't been a recount
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: that has reversed a single anything. You set up a lie, lie, lie,
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: that this election was stolen. But ain't not no court
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: in your country, the one you fixed up with your constitution.
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: There's not no court in your land that would even
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: take up your lie. This your country, remember this your
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: judicial system that you parade us so just that we
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: don't see that way. But then when it works against you,
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: oh my god, these judges are crazy. Now there's a
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: couple of things that still kind of tax at me
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: a little bit. Not only do you lie to us,
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: I just just a refusal to include us in the constitution.
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: I mean, we've been trying to get this piece of
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: paper right for a long time that every American has
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: an inalable right to the pursuit of happiness. But we
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: had to change a few things. You do remember this
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: piece of paper has had some flaws in it. You
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: do remember that you thought of the Negro as three
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: of a human being. You do remember that even women
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: couldn't vote. It just wasn't a constitutional thing. So this
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: paper has had to be adjusted over the years. And
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: the people that wrote the papers white men. They even
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: had white women put in a certain place, and it's
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: still there. Do you know that there's golf courses that
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: don't let women play on them? Not only women, but
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: you better not to bring your black ass down there
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: talking about you fitting to play. Do you know his
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: golf course is still today that black people can't set
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: foot on them. Do you know that this is twenty
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: twenty one. It's a rule. There are golf courses that
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: do not allow Jews on it. It's a rule. This
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: is twenty twenty one. I'm just asking you. Do you
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: know that we have to vote every year on the
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: Voting Rights Act? Not every year, but every so often
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: the Voting the Act comes up that allows black people
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: to steal vote. They're still working through that right there.
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: This is crazy, man. Black people my age are exhausted.
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: If you're from the baby boomer generation, we are exhausted.
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: If you are fifty, we are exhausted. I got news
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: for you to exhaustion and spread to the younger generation too.
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: They tied to. But like I said, this summer protest
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: is a young person's sport. I can't go out there
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: with no signs, no more. I've done a lot of
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: protesting in my life, but I can't run back which
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: no more, and die behind bushes and climb over police
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: cars and try to escape. I can't do that. It's
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: just a young puer. All we trying to do is
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: get you to treat us equal, not special, just equal. Damn.
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: Even when we asked for it, we plead for it,
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: and we march more, and then we have to watch
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: you come up with a counter ask, a counter plea,
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: and a counter march. What the hell is that about?
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: Black lives matter? White lives matter? Too? Well? Damn, we
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: didn't say it, don't. We just asked, you can hours
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: matter like yours matter? Sitting up here every time we
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: gotta ask or plea or march. We gotta watch You
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: have a damn counter like you ain't got enough? Were
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: tired it is? We're just tired of it, man, That's
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: all I wanted to say. Y'all got the nerve to
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: be say, y'all tired of watching us march? You tired
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: of watching us march? Put these boots on and walk
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: your ass out there. You think you tired of watching it,
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: were tired of performing it. Were just waiting on some
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: of y'all to be tied for us too. For all, Steve,
