- 1:06Speaker 5: You gotta turn you.
- 1:41Speaker 6: To turn the mouse to turn you probably got to
- 1:44Speaker 6: turn the mouth out the word the money up looking.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Come come out your.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Ah huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody. You are
- 2:05Speaker 3: listening to the voice, come on dig me now. One
- 2:09Speaker 3: and only Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Man.
- 2:13Speaker 3: What an amazing blessing. God has given me my health,
- 2:19Speaker 3: my dreams, all of it.
- 2:21Speaker 2: God gave it to me. I accept it.
- 2:24Speaker 3: I work hard, but man, oh man, oh man, I
- 2:28Speaker 3: work hard. It is something that He gave me a gift.
- 2:32Speaker 3: And that's what I want to talk to you about today,
- 2:34Speaker 3: because God has gifted everyone, so I can't help but
- 2:38Speaker 3: believe it. You are gifted in some way. Something about
- 2:42Speaker 3: you is specially and unique. That doesn't mean you're the
- 2:46Speaker 3: only one that can sing? Are you the only one
- 2:48Speaker 3: that can write? Are you the only one that can draw,
- 2:51Speaker 3: You the only one that can decorate? Or you the
- 2:53Speaker 3: only one that can network? Or you're the only one
- 2:56Speaker 3: that does not what it means, or you have a
- 2:58Speaker 3: great scientific mind you can figure things out, or you're
- 3:01Speaker 3: good and problem solving. You're not the only one, but
- 3:03Speaker 3: you are a unique individual. Nobody will travel the exact
- 3:06Speaker 3: path that you on. Nobody will have everything happen in
- 3:10Speaker 3: a series of circumstances in the order that you're going
- 3:14Speaker 3: to have it happen to you. That's what I mean
- 3:16Speaker 3: when I say that you are unique. But now, because
- 3:20Speaker 3: you are gifted, you know you have something you have
- 3:23Speaker 3: to do. You know, there's a scripture. It's in Proverbs,
- 3:27Speaker 3: Proverbs eighteen and sixteen. I've been trying to be a
- 3:30Speaker 3: little bit better at that for you, you know. So when
- 3:33Speaker 3: I have an idea and I know where it is,
- 3:35Speaker 3: I have somebody look the scripture up from men handed
- 3:37Speaker 3: to me. So it's in Proverbs eighteen sixteen. And this
- 3:42Speaker 3: is the layman's term of it. It says a man's
- 3:44Speaker 3: gift make room for him and brings him before great men.
- 3:49Speaker 3: It is your gift that will make room for you.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Now my interpretation of this is this. Now I could
- 3:56Speaker 3: be wrong. Please go to your local church, center, god, temple, mosque,
- 4:00Speaker 3: whatever you do, and go get clarification. But what my
- 4:04Speaker 3: gift has done in making room for me is I've
- 4:07Speaker 3: taken it almost in the literal sense. My gift has
- 4:10Speaker 3: actually made room for me. It has clear paths for me.
- 4:14Speaker 3: My gift has opened up doors for me. That's what
- 4:17Speaker 3: I take it as. It'll make room for you. My
- 4:20Speaker 3: gift has has broadened my ability to travel. My gift
- 4:24Speaker 3: has opened my eyes to fashion. My gift has caused
- 4:29Speaker 3: me to be able to provide for my family. My
- 4:33Speaker 3: gift has caused me to be able to reach more people.
- 4:37Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying in terms of it will make
- 4:40Speaker 3: room for you. That it may be another interpretation. I'm
- 4:43Speaker 3: just telling you how I took it, that it has
- 4:45Speaker 3: worked out pretty good for me to that understanding. But
- 4:47Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure Bishop Jakes, Joel Old, sting kennef Ohm,
- 4:51Speaker 3: you know, God, Glenn Staples, Bishop Glenn's Table, these guys
- 4:55Speaker 3: give you much better understanding of it. I'm just giving
- 4:57Speaker 3: it to you, you know where I know how sold.
- 5:00Speaker 3: I don't know. I just like to keep it right there.
- 5:02Speaker 3: But and then it says that it brings you before
- 5:05Speaker 3: great men. I mean, you know it's gonna take you places.
- 5:09Speaker 3: It's gonna take your places you never thought of going.
- 5:12Speaker 3: You're gonna meet people because of your gift. I told
- 5:16Speaker 3: my son, who two of them are good photographers. You'll
- 5:18Speaker 3: be taking pictures of great men. And then I mess
- 5:21Speaker 3: with him. You already taking pictures, say your daddy. You
- 5:23Speaker 3: know I'm messing with him like that. But that's just
- 5:25Speaker 3: me and them, just kicking it. But you know, but
- 5:27Speaker 3: one day, who knows, you could be shooting the president.
- 5:30Speaker 3: You know, you could be shooting some foreign dignitaries. You know,
- 5:33Speaker 3: you could be shooting great sport events. You know. You
- 5:35Speaker 3: never know where it could take you. But that's your gift.
- 5:38Speaker 3: What you gotta do is you got to get to.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Move and though.
- 5:41Speaker 3: See, you can't have your gift and not do nothing
- 5:44Speaker 3: with it. See you know what that reminds me of.
- 5:47Speaker 3: It's something that my father used to say, get up
- 5:50Speaker 3: off your butt because you're sitting on a gold mine.
- 5:54Speaker 2: He say that all the time.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Boy, get up off your butt and move it because
- 5:59Speaker 3: you sitting on the gold I never really quite got
- 6:01Speaker 3: that when I was little, but now that I'm an adult,
- 6:04Speaker 3: I got it full well. See a lot of you
- 6:06Speaker 3: are sitting. You're sitting on a talent or a gift
- 6:09Speaker 3: that you have. You're sitting on an ability. I don't
- 6:12Speaker 3: care if it's making cakes or pies. That's a gift, man,
- 6:16Speaker 3: that's a talent. I don't care if it's the ability
- 6:18Speaker 3: to do hell, that's a gift.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Man. Half of you are gifted.
- 6:22Speaker 3: A lot of us are gifted, and we're sitting on
- 6:25Speaker 3: it looking at other people, wondering what can I do
- 6:28Speaker 3: to make it?
- 6:28Speaker 2: You already got something to make it with.
- 6:31Speaker 3: If you would just get up off your behind, man,
- 6:34Speaker 3: quit sitting on that gold mine.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Some of you are tech savvy, just.
- 6:39Speaker 3: A whiz is when it comes to engineering and putting
- 6:42Speaker 3: stuff together and cables and wires and computers and stuff.
- 6:46Speaker 3: And now you steady looking around trying to figure out, man.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Wonder what I can go do? How about you go
- 6:51Speaker 2: do that?
- 6:52Speaker 3: You know it ain't that hard, man, if you were,
- 6:55Speaker 3: just take note of what God has given you already.
- 6:58Speaker 2: He has given you gift already. He has already given
- 7:02Speaker 2: you a talent.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Now the fact that you ain't using it and you
- 7:05Speaker 3: sitting on your tail somewhere now.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Who fathers what we're talking about? What you blaming God
- 7:14Speaker 2: for that?
- 7:15Speaker 8: Man?
- 7:15Speaker 3: I tell you what. I sit around people all the
- 7:17Speaker 3: time who are gifted, and I'm looking at their gifts,
- 7:22Speaker 3: and they steady complaining about what they don't have, but
- 7:25Speaker 3: will not get up off there behind and use the
- 7:29Speaker 3: gifts that God gave them.
- 7:31Speaker 2: And it's frustrating.
- 7:32Speaker 3: It's gotta be frustrating for you if you doing it,
- 7:36Speaker 3: because it's frustrating for me when I see it. So
- 7:38Speaker 3: when these people come to me and ask me for help,
- 7:40Speaker 3: I just keep going the same thing over and over.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Help yourself, man, do for you use your gift.
- 7:46Speaker 3: It's a cat sitting behind the wall right now that's
- 7:49Speaker 3: locked up. That's so good at artistry. It's cats in
- 7:53Speaker 3: that tattooing everybody. Man, get out, do it the right way.
- 7:58Speaker 3: Quit selling drugs, man, you ain't going don't know where're
- 8:00Speaker 3: selling no drugs.
- 8:01Speaker 2: You going to jail.
- 8:02Speaker 3: And if that don't do it, somebody gonna get tired
- 8:04Speaker 3: of you selling drugs cause they're gonn wanna sell them
- 8:06Speaker 3: over and they gonna kill you.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Let's just keep this thing real for just a second.
- 8:09Speaker 3: Here, Come on, man, get up off your butt, because
- 8:12Speaker 3: you sitting on the gold mine, and you sit up here,
- 8:15Speaker 3: somebody always looking for a shortcut to the top.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Ain't no shortcut. Somebody told me this the other day. Man,
- 8:21Speaker 2: the road to success is always under construction.
- 8:25Speaker 3: It ain't paved, it's got detour signs on it. It's
- 8:30Speaker 3: got slow men working. Sometime they flip the stop sign.
- 8:34Speaker 3: You gotta sit there and wait. Sometime they got slow.
- 8:37Speaker 3: There's traffic, there's accidents. Somebody on the road holding up
- 8:42Speaker 3: things with a flat tie, its nails, it gravels.
- 8:45Speaker 2: This spike is everything.
- 8:46Speaker 3: The road to success is always under construction. It ain't
- 8:51Speaker 3: getting ready to be easy just because you done decided
- 8:54Speaker 3: to do it. But don't sit around on your behind
- 8:57Speaker 3: and complain all the time about what you don't have.
- 9:00Speaker 3: My daddy said it, Man, get up off your butt
- 9:02Speaker 3: because you sitting on the gold mine.
- 9:04Speaker 2: You got a gift, you got a talent.
- 9:07Speaker 3: You got something that you can do that could make
- 9:10Speaker 3: a way for you, but you won't do it. It
- 9:13Speaker 3: is within you. Stop looking around. Here's where people waste
- 9:16Speaker 3: the most time on the road to success, looking around
- 9:19Speaker 3: at somebody else trying to figure out, Man, how can
- 9:23Speaker 3: I do what they did?
- 9:25Speaker 2: Do what you do? You ain't jay z, you ain't sorry.
- 9:30Speaker 3: I got a couple of your homies told you you
- 9:32Speaker 3: rap better than him, but you not, jay Z, really
- 9:35Speaker 3: you're not.
- 9:36Speaker 2: You know, all of us can shot at him, but
- 9:38Speaker 2: we ain't rich at prior.
- 9:40Speaker 3: A nice shot Steve, Bernie DL, all of we took
- 9:44Speaker 3: some great shots at it.
- 9:46Speaker 2: We not him. Do what you can do.
- 9:49Speaker 3: Do you do your gift quick complaining about what you
- 9:52Speaker 3: don't have, Get up off your butt because you sitting
- 9:56Speaker 3: on a gold mine.

- 10:09Speaker 3: another gift.
- 10:10Speaker 2: It's called now.
- 10:11Speaker 9: Man.
- 10:12Speaker 3: Be grateful today, y'all. If you don't do nothing else,
- 10:14Speaker 3: show some gratitude. Tell him that you appreciate it. Just
- 10:18Speaker 3: tell him that you love it. That thank you, Thank
- 10:21Speaker 3: you for waking me up, for giving me this day,
- 10:23Speaker 3: for giving me this opportunity.

- 10:27Speaker 3: It's so many great things can happen to you today,
- 10:31Speaker 3: and no matter what happens, you gonna get through that too.
- 10:35Speaker 3: This too shall pass, just like everything else that didn't
- 10:40Speaker 3: happen to you. It passes eventually, don't you get it?
- 10:43Speaker 3: You survived it all before, and you're gonna make it
- 10:46Speaker 3: through this one, and I'm grateful that God woke me

- 20:15Speaker 14: Your boy Gary just branked you many. Let me ask
- 20:28Speaker 14: you something though, man, what is the baddest radio show
- 20:33Speaker 14: in the land?
- 20:34Speaker 9: Man, it's the Steve Harvey Morning.
- 20:39Speaker 1: All right, Thank you, nephew. Coming up Nextews asked the
- 20:44Speaker 1: c L you're listening Hardy Morning Show?
- 20:49Speaker 2: All right?
- 20:49Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour.
- 20:51Speaker 4: In entertainment news, we'll find out why Lionel Richie looks
- 20:55Speaker 4: so good. Okay, he says it's not plastic surgery. Jay
- 20:59Speaker 4: Z probably his three children with Beyonce, and we'll check
- 21:03Speaker 4: in with Carla for some music news. That's all coming
- 21:06Speaker 4: up at the top of the hour. But right now
- 21:08Speaker 4: it is time to ask the CLO, our Chief Love Officer,
- 21:12Speaker 4: Steve Harvey. This one's from Jamila in Chicago, CLO. Jamila writes,
- 21:18Speaker 4: nine times out of ten, my husband is going to
- 21:21Speaker 4: get drunk on the weekend and come home and start
- 21:24Speaker 4: a fight. He will want to make love afterwards. And
- 21:27Speaker 4: how can this be a thing for him every Friday
- 21:30Speaker 4: and Saturday night. His sex is best when he's drunk.
- 21:34Speaker 4: But I'm tired of this pattern.
- 21:36Speaker 1: How do I get this drunk to quit this?
- 21:41Speaker 3: Well, you're the person that can change the package. It
- 21:45Speaker 3: takes two people to argue, and it takes two people
- 21:48Speaker 3: to have sex, So you know, you can remove yourself
- 21:53Speaker 3: from both of those equations, which immediately changes the pattern,
- 21:57Speaker 3: at least for you. Now, if he's going to continue
- 22:00Speaker 3: to pattern, it'll probably be so.
- 22:02Speaker 4: Well, alrightyllo, all right, yeah, Moving on to Tanya and Queens.
- 22:15Speaker 4: Tanya says, my child's father had his new girlfriend come
- 22:18Speaker 4: pick up my child, and he didn't tell me beforehand.
- 22:22Speaker 4: I didn't let my child go with this woman. Yes,
- 22:25Speaker 4: I know her well, but that's beside the point. Was
- 22:28Speaker 4: I being petty or should he learn better communication?
- 22:32Speaker 3: Well, he has to communicate, especially when it comes to
- 22:34Speaker 3: your child. You gave birth to this baby. You ain't
- 22:36Speaker 3: got to do nothing you don't want to do with
- 22:38Speaker 3: your child. He can't send his girlfriend over there and
- 22:41Speaker 3: then not tell you. That's disrespectful. Now you gotta tell
- 22:44Speaker 3: this mother she had this baby, that's her child. Yeah,
- 22:48Speaker 3: it says communicate. Hey, baby, listen, I'm running so I
- 22:51Speaker 3: know you know her. She's really cool. They got a relationship.
- 22:54Speaker 3: She got a great relationship with your child. Would you
- 22:56Speaker 3: mind if I had her come pick up because I'm
- 22:59Speaker 3: gonna be over here, and then it would have fixed it.
- 23:02Speaker 3: But you just send this woman over and she finish
- 23:05Speaker 3: hand her baby out the door and she salted.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Now, I don't think that's.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Gonna work, all right.
- 23:11Speaker 4: Moving on to Semeon and Jacksonville, Semeon says, I started
- 23:15Speaker 4: dating a woman last month, and she told me that
- 23:18Speaker 4: it's time for me to chip in financially. And she
- 23:21Speaker 4: told me she needed one hundred and twenty five dollars
- 23:24Speaker 4: for her nails.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Is this my responsibility?
- 23:28Speaker 2: Well, not necessarily. How long they say they've been.
- 23:31Speaker 1: Dating They just started last month?
- 23:34Speaker 2: Oh well, yeah, I don't think it ain't chippy in time.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Oh when is it?
- 23:40Speaker 2: Yeah, well, it's chip in time when I think we
- 23:43Speaker 2: invested in one another.
- 23:45Speaker 3: You know, if we invest in our time, if we
- 23:47Speaker 3: in a committed relationship, then it's time to chip into
- 23:50Speaker 3: the commitment for thirty days.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Well okay, well she need to go get a damn
- 23:55Speaker 2: nails done.
- 23:57Speaker 13: Better, get Neil clipper and get them doing herself.
- 24:02Speaker 3: Yeah, that's not really necessarily the case unless you're committed.
- 24:07Speaker 3: If I'm not in the committee, I mean I do stuff.
- 24:10Speaker 3: I'll take you to dinner, you know, stuff like that.
- 24:13Speaker 3: I'm paying for all that dinners and movies.
- 24:15Speaker 1: And wante going somewhere.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, we're going to club. We're going out and
- 24:19Speaker 3: drink and say, yeah, I got all that tuff coming. No,
- 24:23Speaker 3: but if you come in here and tell me it's
- 24:25Speaker 3: time for you to start chipping in and I need
- 24:27Speaker 3: one hundred and twenty five, well you know you don't
- 24:31Speaker 3: take the wrong thing.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Let's go.
- 24:34Speaker 13: You're getting everything.
- 24:37Speaker 4: Done, so it's not his responsibility. No, all right, last one, Steve.
- 24:45Speaker 4: This is from Felipa in Tuscaloosa. Uh, Filippa writes, my
- 24:49Speaker 4: husband and I right to work together and he won't
- 24:53Speaker 4: let me get coffee in the morning. He told me
- 24:55Speaker 4: I need to start making coffee at home to save money.
- 24:59Speaker 4: I and withholding sex until he lets me get my
- 25:02Speaker 4: morning coffee. Am I wrong or right?
- 25:05Speaker 13: Well?
- 25:06Speaker 10: I mean, you know, yeah.
- 25:08Speaker 3: Now the problem is is if you with holding this
- 25:12Speaker 3: sex and you still ain't getting that coffee. So I
- 25:17Speaker 3: don't know how much coffee cost. I'm thinking three seventy five.
- 25:21Speaker 3: You ain't worth three seventy five. Yeah, I'm gonna get
- 25:26Speaker 3: you this coffee. Yeah, yeah, Yeah, we're gonna get coffee.
- 25:30Speaker 3: Because I don't want to hear it. But you know,
- 25:32Speaker 3: you gotta stop making coffee at home. But a lot
- 25:34Speaker 3: of people at coffee in the morning is a ritual
- 25:37Speaker 3: at Starbucks, at dunkin Donut, it's a ritual for people.
- 25:40Speaker 3: It's something that doesn't My assistant can't come to work
- 25:44Speaker 3: unless she stopped at Starbucks.
- 25:46Speaker 2: She can't come.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Yeah, or just in coffee in general, people can't start
- 25:51Speaker 1: their morning without.
- 25:52Speaker 12: A cup of coffee.
- 25:53Speaker 2: She can't she stops at the Starbucks. It's rich. I
- 25:58Speaker 2: think she prais it because she'll be late.

- 53:52Speaker 8: Thank you?
- 53:53Speaker 1: Subject? Is he a loser? Or a work in progress.
- 53:56Speaker 4: Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a thirty two year old woman
- 53:59Speaker 4: and I'm falling for a forty three year old man.
- 54:02Speaker 1: We met online and bonded because we were both very lonely.
- 54:05Speaker 4: I worked full time at a school, and he is
- 54:08Speaker 4: a screenwriter waiting for one of his movies to get
- 54:12Speaker 4: greenlit by a big producer. He said, if that happens,
- 54:15Speaker 4: he will be set for life. We decided to meet
- 54:19Speaker 4: up and I asked him to meet me halfway since
- 54:21Speaker 4: he lives an hour from me.
- 54:23Speaker 1: He told me he doesn't have a car, so I
- 54:26Speaker 1: drove three hours to see him.
- 54:29Speaker 4: When I got to his apartment, he said I couldn't
- 54:32Speaker 4: come in because the couple he lives with doesn't want
- 54:35Speaker 4: strangers inside. He explained that he's staying on their couch
- 54:39Speaker 4: in exchange for some cleaning and other housework. He said
- 54:43Speaker 4: he didn't tell me because he didn't want to scare
- 54:46Speaker 4: me away. I was very put off by this, but
- 54:49Speaker 4: he offered to take me to lunch, so that made
- 54:52Speaker 4: it better. We had a nice meal and things were
- 54:55Speaker 4: going great until his card was declined at the restaurant.
- 55:00Speaker 4: He stepped away to call his bank. And then asked
- 55:03Speaker 4: me to cover the bill. He was embarrassed, but I
- 55:06Speaker 4: assured him that it was okay. We decided to get
- 55:10Speaker 4: a hotel room so we could spend the day together,
- 55:13Speaker 4: but his card was declined again, so I put the
- 55:17Speaker 4: room on my credit card. He called the bank again
- 55:21Speaker 4: and said his account had a glitch, but he could
- 55:24Speaker 4: pay me back within twenty four hours.
- 55:26Speaker 2: That night, we had the.
- 55:28Speaker 4: Most intense sex and amazing conversation. I haven't been back
- 55:34Speaker 4: to see him because he can't afford a hotel room.
- 55:37Speaker 4: I still haven't gotten my money back either. He said
- 55:41Speaker 4: he's falling in love with me, so I don't want
- 55:43Speaker 4: to mess this up. I'm trying to believe in his dreams.
- 55:47Speaker 15: Is he a work in progress?
- 55:49Speaker 1: Or he is he a loser?
- 55:51Speaker 4: Please advise? Well, I'm going to say a loser. Okay,
- 55:56Speaker 4: that's what I'm going to say. He is a.
- 55:58Speaker 1: Loser, and I'm going to say it to you too, loser.
- 56:03Speaker 1: I think you're a loser too, because what are you
- 56:06Speaker 1: doing having sex with a man you met online? And
- 56:09Speaker 1: you did all the work you know, to make this
- 56:12Speaker 1: stuff happen.
- 56:13Speaker 4: You drove three hours to see him, you paid for
- 56:16Speaker 4: the food, because his credit card was declined. You paid
- 56:19Speaker 4: for the hotel room because his credit card was declined.
- 56:21Speaker 1: It was a glitch in it. He said, you gave
- 56:24Speaker 1: it up the first night.
- 56:26Speaker 4: You made it way way easy for this man, and
- 56:30Speaker 4: you said, being lonely, that's what this will do to you.
- 56:33Speaker 4: I don't think that's the reason, Just to give yourself
- 56:36Speaker 4: away to some man you didn't even know. This man
- 56:39Speaker 4: is forty three years old. Where is he working right
- 56:42Speaker 4: now until he gets his big break? Usually that's what
- 56:45Speaker 4: writers and screenwriters do. They have another job and they
- 56:48Speaker 4: work on their stuff, you know, and they're off time.
- 56:51Speaker 4: If he's a writer, I mean, surely you would have
- 56:53Speaker 4: seen some of his work, maybe publishing a magazine or online,
- 56:58Speaker 4: a local newspaper. Maybe you know, he would have written
- 57:00Speaker 4: you a poem or something. Did you even read or
- 57:05Speaker 4: see the script that he was waiting to get produced
- 57:08Speaker 4: by some big Hollywood producer? And is that really where
- 57:13Speaker 4: he lives? Where he took you and said he couldn't
- 57:15Speaker 4: take you in? All this stuff just sounds suspect to me.
- 57:19Speaker 4: I mean, you didn't really think he was going to
- 57:21Speaker 4: pay you back, did you? You said he didn't pay
- 57:23Speaker 4: you back? Did you really think he was going to
- 57:26Speaker 4: This guy is not just a loser, he's a user,
- 57:30Speaker 4: and I just say stay away from him. Okay, don't
- 57:34Speaker 4: worry about seeing him again.
- 57:35Speaker 1: He's not for you, Steve.
- 57:37Speaker 2: What is my kind of letter right here?
- 57:39Speaker 5: Thank you?
- 57:39Speaker 2: Should this is my kind of letter right here? Thank you.
- 57:42Speaker 3: First of all, I won't think you know. I just
- 57:44Speaker 3: want everybody to listen to this letter. Right no, right now,
- 57:47Speaker 3: I just want you to know that the talent that
- 57:49Speaker 3: God gave me is about to shine through brightening. You're
- 57:53Speaker 3: about to see my ability to take foolishness pointed out
- 57:58Speaker 3: at levels. What a lot of people don't see. See
- 58:01Speaker 3: shut is a nice Christian girl. You know, she ain't
- 58:04Speaker 3: had the life out of had. You know she ain't
- 58:07Speaker 3: told as many lies.
- 58:08Speaker 2: It's me.
- 58:09Speaker 3: She ain't as much situations as me, so she ain't
- 58:12Speaker 3: gonna see this stuff.
- 58:13Speaker 2: Here go listen.
- 58:14Speaker 3: Thirty two ye old woman falling for the forty three
- 58:17Speaker 3: year old man. They met online and bonded because we
- 58:20Speaker 3: both were lonely. I worked full time out of school.
- 58:23Speaker 3: And he's a screenwriter. Here what he a screenwriter?
- 58:29Speaker 2: Girl?
- 58:29Speaker 3: That ain't even the real title for it. He a
- 58:32Speaker 3: screenwriter waiting on here now this way, let me let
- 58:36Speaker 3: me show you how to go waiting on one of
- 58:39Speaker 3: his movies to get green lit by a big producer.
- 58:45Speaker 8: What what.
- 58:48Speaker 3: Big producer who go green like this movie? Why would
- 58:53Speaker 3: a big producer go through everybody they know.
- 58:55Speaker 2: To get to him?
- 58:58Speaker 3: He said that if that happens, he'll be set for
- 59:01Speaker 3: life one movie.
- 59:03Speaker 2: Don't then you think, holda part.
- 59:07Speaker 3: You think if Spielberg had just made one movie, he'd
- 59:12Speaker 3: have been sent You think if Denzel had a just
- 59:14Speaker 3: stopped at Mo Better Blues, you think he'd have been
- 59:18Speaker 3: sent for life. Pard Nook, is you outing your rabbit
- 59:21Speaker 3: ass mine? You know how much stuff you got to
- 59:24Speaker 3: put together? You're talking about? If he he'll be said left.

- 59:29Speaker 3: meet me halfway since he lived hour for me, she
- 59:33Speaker 3: told me it overcount, So I drove an hour to
- 59:35Speaker 3: see him.
- 59:36Speaker 2: Okay, that's another thing. He'll screen writer.
- 59:40Speaker 1: Three hours to see him. Hold it right there, Steve.
- 59:43Speaker 4: We'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 59:45Speaker 4: twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 59:47Speaker 1: Subject is he a loser or a work in progress?
- 59:50Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
- 59:54Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show.
- 59:56Speaker 4: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 59:59Speaker 4: Subject is he loser or a work in progress?
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: Okay?
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: Now, in order for me to recap this letter, I'd
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: had to go too far. So let me just take
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: you through it. Because the subject is is he a loser?
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: All work in progress? Shirley call him a loser. I
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: got to agree with her one hundred percent. This man
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: is a complete loser. I pointed out to you as
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: we go through the letter. Thirty two year old woman
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: falling four forty three, You old man man online, bond
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: it because we will lonely.
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: I work full time out of school.
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: And he is a screenwriter right there, Good lord almighty,
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: he ain't even ain't to show nobody a screen that
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: heatne written anybody taking movies out in Hollywood right now?
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: Okay, So let's go with that right there.
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: Waiting on one of his movies to get green lit
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: by a big producer. Boy, do you have any idea
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: the process it is to get to a big producer
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: in Hollywood with your new ass, with this script.
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: I ain't saying it can't be done. Ain't saying you
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: can't have dreams. But oh lord, this one tough.
- 1:01:00Speaker 14: He said.
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: If that happens, he'll be set for life. Boy, one
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: movie is not gonna set your ass for life. I
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: can tell you it won't. That's not how this works.
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: You gotta put these things together, man, you gotta start
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: stacking paper. You know, you think Brad Pittle would have
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: been all right with one movie, Tom Hanks with one movie,
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: Now man Eddie with one movie.
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: No, you got to put them together.
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: We decided to meet up, and I asked him to
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: meet me halfway since he lives an hour from me.
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: He he told me he don't have a car. All right,
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: Come on, forty three year old man. He told you
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: he didn't have a car. You let that go. So
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: I drove an hour to see him.
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: When I got to his apartment, he said I couldn't
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: come in because the couple he lived with.
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: Don't want strangers inside the house. Hour you done.
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: Drove an hour to his apartment to find out he
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: don't have an apartment, that he's saying with a couple
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: that then told him your ass can't come in here.
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: He explained that he's staying on their couch.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: What he's staying, it's a funny three.
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: Ye old man staying on his couch.
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: See listen, I'm the last person can talk because I've
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: been homeless and I lived in a car for three years.
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: I met women while I lived in a car. I
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: can tell you didn't go good. I can just tell
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: you didn't go good because when I would say saying
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: can I come over your place?
- 1:02:26Speaker 19: We in it.
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: Hey.
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: I met a girl at a one night show one time.
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: We was driving around the car, was gonna try to
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: go to the waffle house or something. She said, uh,
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: you stay around here somewhere else said yeah, she said
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: where right here?
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: So I understand now you staying on the couch now,
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: and you staying on the couch in exchange for some
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: cleaning and other housework. So now he a maid, So
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: hear that cleaning tarlets and doing dishes and caryning out
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: garbage and stuff and mopping flows. Okay, but he'll screen
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: write them now. He said, he didn't tell me because
- 1:03:11Speaker 3: he ain't want to scare me away. You askeding a
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: guy in your car right then and turned your ass around.
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: Oh no, you ain't that smart.
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: I was very put off by this. You wasn't put
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: off that much because guess what you did. He offered
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: to take me to lunch, so that made it better. Well, oh,
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: play the food all right, here we go. So now
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: since that made the baby, we had a nice meal
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: and things was going great until his card was declined
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: at the restaurant. So now it was going great because
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: he took brought you some lunch. Didn't found out he
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: couldn't pay for the damn lunch. He stepped away to
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: call his bank and asked me to cover the bill.
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: He didn't talk nobody that bank. What he called the
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: bank and say he no goodn't hall wear it ain't
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: no money in there. He stepped round the corner and
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: told you he called the bank. He talked nobody at
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: that bank. Matter of fact, they'd ask you and bring
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: his ass down there so they can leave here.
- 1:04:09Speaker 12: It's overdressed.
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: He was embarrassed, so I assured him that it was okay.
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: You're such a nice person. We decided to get a
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: hotel room so we could spend the day together. What
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: wait a minute, what wait a minute? After all that
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: didn't happen, You're desperate ass. After you found out he
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: stay on the couch with the other couple, that he
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: a housekeeper and he'll screen right awaiting on the big producer.
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: He ain't got no money, and he took you to
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: the restaurant and you ain't got the money. He called
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: a bank and then WI told you whom y'all gonna
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: get a hotel room. So he spend the day together,
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: but his card was declined again. If you can't pay
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: for the food, how the hell you're gonna get a
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: hotel room. So I put the room on my credit card.
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: He called the bank again and said his accounts had
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: a glitch in it. You had to glitch is called
- 1:04:58Speaker 3: ain't no money. It's a big glitch. I've had three
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: years of the glitches. But he could pay me back
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: in twenty four hours. That night, we had the most
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: intense sex and amazing conversations. Hey, can I come back
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: on this next break? Yeah, because this is very important
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: right here, because I want to share with you why
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: you had the most intense sex and amazing conversation. I'm
- 1:05:22Speaker 3: gonna share with you why that happened. And I don't
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: have the time in a little bit of time we

- 1:05:54Speaker 4: Is he a loser or work in progress? Right after this, you're.
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: Listening Dave Hardy Morning Show.
- 1:06:00Speaker 4: All right, see we're back with part three. Here's the
- 1:06:03Speaker 4: Strawberry Letter with part three to it. The subject is
- 1:06:06Speaker 4: is he a loser or a work in progress? So
- 1:06:09Speaker 4: you left with telling us.
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: You were gonna do an breakshaw, So just brief amazing.
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: Let me explain something to you. This woman to met
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: this forty three old man who's a screenwriter. They've been
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: online and they met, and you're trying to figure out
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: if he a loser or if he's a work in progress.
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: Me and Sheirley and I already said they loser. Just
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: a couple of bullet points to remind you why we
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: think he's a loser. He's waiting on the screen play
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: to get green lit by a big producer. That's one
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: he said. If it happened, it's gonna be set for life.
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: He forty three. Then you drive to meet him, and
- 1:06:40Speaker 3: you told him meet you halfway. He told you he
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: can't meet you halfway because he ain't got no car.
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: You drove all the way to see him to got
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: to his apartment, and then you found out that you
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: couldn't come in because the couple he lived with don't
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: want no strangers.
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: Inside they house.
- 1:06:55Speaker 14: Did.
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: He told you that he was staying on they couch
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: in exchange for doing housework and other chores. Then he
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: told you he won't to tell you that because he
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: ain't want to scare you weight and instead of getting
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: scared your ass stage.
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: But then he offered to take you to lunch, so
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: that made it better.
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: Then he took you to lunch, and when the bill came,
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: he couldn't pay for the damn lunch, so you put.
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: It on your card. I don't know how good, how
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: good that damn meal was.
- 1:07:22Speaker 3: But then right after that, y'all decided to get a
- 1:07:24Speaker 3: hotel room so y'all could spend the day together. But
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: his card got declined again he couldn't take for the
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: damn meal. So he gonna get a room. What hotel was,
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: y'all at Glenn's motor In. Listen to me, the hotel
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: room normally costs more than for you know, four hours,
- 1:07:43Speaker 3: for twenty dollars, you know.
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: And he said his account had a glitch in it.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: Glitch.
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: No, his account ain't had no money in it. That's
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: the biggest glitch of them all.
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: He said. He bade you back in twenty four hours. Now,
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: this is where we left off.
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: That night we had the most intense sex, an amazing conversation. Well, first,
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: let me deal with the amazing conversation. First of all,
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: he a screenwriter. He know how to tell a story.
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: If you like listening to him.
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: So that's a good ass conversation. Now let me tell
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: you why you had the intense sex. Because he was
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: screwing for opportunity.
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: He was screwing for a chance. He was screwing for hope.
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: He was screwing for somewhere that lill. He was screwing
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: for another payment. He was screwing for somebody to clean
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: up this bank account of his.
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: He was screwing for somebody with a credit report. He
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: was screwing for somebody.
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: That's working down at the school center.
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: He was screwing for everybody that could get his ass.
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: Off that couch because he tied to do it housework
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: to get for these white people he living there with.

- 1:09:13Speaker 4: You guys know that, so you know, so you know
- 1:09:18Speaker 4: it's so different now how people raise their children, how
- 1:09:21Speaker 4: the world is right now. Some of the stuff kids
- 1:09:26Speaker 4: get away with now, we could never get away with
- 1:09:28Speaker 4: any childhood stories you guys want to share, Junior.
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: I know, I'm sorry.
- 1:09:35Speaker 14: That's Mother's Day and every Yeah, we need to have
- 1:09:39Speaker 14: at least an annual day where every child get there
- 1:09:41Speaker 14: behind what I think we need to bring that back.
- 1:09:43Speaker 8: We do.
- 1:09:46Speaker 11: You know if these kids don't get to feel no more,
- 1:09:48Speaker 11: they don't get to feel being awakened in the middle
- 1:09:51Speaker 11: of the night by a belt and you have no
- 1:09:53Speaker 11: reason why.
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: You don't even know why you getting.
- 1:09:56Speaker 11: Beat because that happened to me because I didn't know
- 1:09:59Speaker 11: what you But first of all, when you sleep and
- 1:10:02Speaker 11: that belt, you don't feel the covers coming off and
- 1:10:04Speaker 11: that belt hit you in the middle of your back
- 1:10:06Speaker 11: and your eyes opened up, but your hearing ain't kicked
- 1:10:09Speaker 11: in because they still yelling at you.
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: What what what what?
- 1:10:25Speaker 14: It didn't matter where that belt landed. There was no
- 1:10:28Speaker 14: there was no limit to it. Across the neck, cross
- 1:10:30Speaker 14: the back, across the.
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: Button in your eye.
- 1:10:34Speaker 13: Yeah, you can get hit with a belt anywhere.
- 1:10:36Speaker 4: That was real evil of your parents to let you
- 1:10:38Speaker 4: go to sleep and let you think that they forgot y. Yeah,
- 1:10:42Speaker 4: it's like a sucker punch in the middle of the night,
- 1:10:46Speaker 4: you know.
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: But you know what, you couldn't come.
- 1:10:49Speaker 14: You couldn't sleep right Noway, even when you got in
- 1:10:51Speaker 14: that bed, you knew it was coming.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: You know it was coming, but you didn't know when.
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: Told me.
- 1:11:00Speaker 14: I mean, my daddy told me to cut the yard.
- 1:11:02Speaker 14: And I did not cut the yard. He told me
- 1:11:04Speaker 14: three days straight. I did not remember the cut. I
- 1:11:07Speaker 14: kept coming over.
- 1:11:08Speaker 13: I just came. I kept coming from track records. I
- 1:11:10Speaker 13: forgot to cut the yard.
- 1:11:11Speaker 14: Man that that that on the third night, I was
- 1:11:16Speaker 14: cutting that yard at eleven thirty with a flashlight.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: And I mean, you better edge it.
- 1:11:22Speaker 14: And I mean and the neighbor next door was this
- 1:11:25Speaker 14: white guy. He comes out, Hey, what's going on? My
- 1:11:27Speaker 14: dad said, you might want to go on back in
- 1:11:29Speaker 14: your house tonight. This ain't today for that, This ain't
- 1:11:34Speaker 14: the day be asking me what's.
- 1:11:35Speaker 13: Going on here?
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: What you want?
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: I'm raising my son, That's what I'm doing.
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: I'm raising myn What we woke.
- 1:11:41Speaker 14: Up the next morning, I had lines going in every directoryard.
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: But you cut that up.
- 1:11:47Speaker 13: I cut that yard, man, I cut that yard.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: Jeez, you know, childhood?
- 1:11:58Speaker 15: What's on?
- 1:11:58Speaker 9: Guy?
- 1:11:59Speaker 4: I know?
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: I really had a real simple childhood, you know, still
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: with happiness and you know, pop Candy, this had just
- 1:12:12Speaker 3: wonderful experience with my parents.
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: I was just just an obedient child.
- 1:12:15Speaker 13: I just.
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: Just you know, you know, I just wanted to see
- 1:12:19Speaker 3: how that sounds. You know, all the trauma I done
- 1:12:24Speaker 3: went through. Man, I'm tired of talking about my trauma.
- 1:12:26Speaker 3: I was enjoying time to store.
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: All mine. Worse.
- 1:12:32Speaker 13: So, I what what have you?
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: What have your parents told you to do that you
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: did not do and you got in trouble for it.
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: Here was a big thing.
- 1:12:40Speaker 3: My father planted a garden in the backyard every year,
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: and it was one of the last snows of the year,
- 1:12:46Speaker 3: probably in April and that snowed in Cleveland one year,
- 1:12:50Speaker 3: and he said, now listen, don't y'all play in that
- 1:12:54Speaker 3: snow in that backyard and dig that dirt up and
- 1:12:58Speaker 3: turn it into mud and snow back then, because it's
- 1:13:01Speaker 3: probably the last snow. And I'm gonna get that get
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: my crops in the ground. In a couple of weeks,
- 1:13:06Speaker 3: we were right on out there and played football. I'm
- 1:13:09Speaker 3: talking about man, And there was so much mud in
- 1:13:12Speaker 3: that damn yard, dog, and so we were. Our plan
- 1:13:16Speaker 3: was we was gonna take some snow that had been
- 1:13:18Speaker 3: shown and just cover it back up. And uh, next
- 1:13:22Speaker 3: thing I know, the station wagon was pulling up in
- 1:13:24Speaker 3: the yard. I was just going a touchdown and I
- 1:13:29Speaker 3: was I was jumping up in me and air trying
- 1:13:31Speaker 3: to get back down to the ground. Stop this celebration,
- 1:13:34Speaker 3: because he was looking dead at me and that mud
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: was everywhere, and he took us in the garage and
- 1:13:41Speaker 3: beat all the mud off of us.
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: Whoaah. All right, all right, all right, thank you. Yes,
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: we'll be back with more of the Sea Harvey Morning

- 1:17:45Speaker 1: Would you rather have very skinny legs or very long neck?
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: Which one man.

- 1:18:13Speaker 1: But Tommy, you was been looking crazy because you were
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: running all right? All right?
- 1:18:24Speaker 4: Would you rather be sexy and hated by many or
- 1:18:27Speaker 4: average looking and very popular?
- 1:18:30Speaker 20: I'm finna be here. Yeah, that's the basis of your
- 1:18:37Speaker 20: popul leg Come on now, come on, and all three
- 1:18:42Speaker 20: of us has beats.

- 1:18:54Speaker 4: we'll close out the show with the one and only
- 1:18:56Speaker 4: Steve Harvey.
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:19:02Speaker 4: All right, here we are, last break of the day,
- 1:19:04Speaker 4: another fine day on the Steve Harvey Morton Show.
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you so much for listening. All right, Steve
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: you're up closing remarks.
- 1:19:13Speaker 9: What you got?
- 1:19:14Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, more and more. I try to share
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: things that I learned as I pick them up, you know.
- 1:19:25Speaker 3: I try to, you know, when I'm talking to people
- 1:19:29Speaker 3: about my faith and my walk. I guess I use
- 1:19:34Speaker 3: myself as an example because I want to. I try
- 1:19:37Speaker 3: to simplify for people, because man, so many people get
- 1:19:42Speaker 3: turned off with traditional religion. And there's nothing wrong with church, man,
- 1:19:49Speaker 3: I think that church is one of the great institutions
- 1:19:53Speaker 3: that's that's ever been around, you know, But some people
- 1:19:56Speaker 3: can't get there, and some people get turned off by
- 1:19:58Speaker 3: people in the church when it's really the relationship with God.
- 1:20:03Speaker 2: That you try to foster.
- 1:20:04Speaker 3: But there are some people in churches that can be
- 1:20:06Speaker 3: quite a turn off in you trying to find the
- 1:20:11Speaker 3: peace you're looking for in your life or the answers
- 1:20:14Speaker 3: you're looking for in your life, because you go to
- 1:20:16Speaker 3: this building and somebody in the building ain't really a
- 1:20:20Speaker 3: good example of Christian or whatever your faith is, and
- 1:20:25Speaker 3: all of a sudden they come in there, they did
- 1:20:28Speaker 3: they full of more devil than being at a club.
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: Sometimes.
- 1:20:32Speaker 3: So what I try to offer people through my own
- 1:20:37Speaker 3: little form of testimonies to show you that you can
- 1:20:41Speaker 3: have this walk with God just the way you are,
- 1:20:44Speaker 3: that you don't have to try to fix yourself to
- 1:20:47Speaker 3: have this relationship that you got to start somewhere. And God,
- 1:20:52Speaker 3: God deal with regular people all the time. God, just
- 1:20:56Speaker 3: don't deal with the people that consider them saying, Holy, God,
- 1:21:01Speaker 3: deal with regular people. God take regular people and turn
- 1:21:05Speaker 3: them into heroes. God take regular people. The Bible is
- 1:21:09Speaker 3: full of stories of regular people that God used as
- 1:21:13Speaker 3: an example, people who showed extraordinary exhibitions of faith and hope.
- 1:21:20Speaker 3: And so I just try to share with the people
- 1:21:23Speaker 3: stuff that I learned along the way. One of the
- 1:21:26Speaker 3: things I was learning, man, was I had to really
- 1:21:29Speaker 3: learn to accept each day just as it came to me.
- 1:21:34Speaker 3: And that's what I want to share with you today.
- 1:21:36Speaker 3: You got a people, we got to start accepting the
- 1:21:39Speaker 3: day as it comes to you. Do not waste your
- 1:21:43Speaker 3: time and energy wishing for a different set of circumstances,
- 1:21:49Speaker 3: because it's.
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: Not going to happen.
- 1:21:51Speaker 3: Do you know how much time and energy you burn
- 1:21:54Speaker 3: wishing things weren't the way they were? Do you know
- 1:21:58Speaker 3: how much time and energy you've wished hoping something was different?
- 1:22:04Speaker 3: And there's no way it can be different. We spending
- 1:22:07Speaker 3: too much time with that. You got to accept the
- 1:22:11Speaker 3: things in the day that you can't do anything about,
- 1:22:16Speaker 3: and remember you and remember something man that instead of that,
- 1:22:21Speaker 3: start trusting in the process that God has a special
- 1:22:27Speaker 3: design and a special purpose for you even with these difficulties. Man,
- 1:22:32Speaker 3: you got to trust in the process. His plan for
- 1:22:35Speaker 3: you is different from my plan. It's different from your
- 1:22:38Speaker 3: mother's plan. It's different from all your friends' plans. But
- 1:22:44Speaker 3: don't so don't spend that much time and energy like
- 1:22:48Speaker 3: so many of us do, like I've done. I can't
- 1:22:51Speaker 3: count the times I did it, Man, wishing certain circumstances
- 1:22:55Speaker 3: weren't the circumstances.
- 1:22:56Speaker 2: But they are. It is what it is.
- 1:23:01Speaker 3: Now what you gonna do about it? This could be
- 1:23:05Speaker 3: an opportunity for you to get closer to God. Sometimes
- 1:23:08Speaker 3: trials and tribulations and things come our way because God
- 1:23:12Speaker 3: just want us to be closer to him. You know
- 1:23:15Speaker 3: how people get aggravated all the time. People kill me
- 1:23:17Speaker 3: when they say this. He went to prison, he found
- 1:23:20Speaker 3: the Lord. He had to wait till he went to
- 1:23:22Speaker 3: prison and found the Lord.
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: Okay, okay, but he found him.
- 1:23:28Speaker 11: No.
- 1:23:29Speaker 3: See, everybody ain't got to go to prison to find him.
- 1:23:33Speaker 3: You know how I found him. I found him living
- 1:23:35Speaker 3: in a car. You know how else I found him.
- 1:23:38Speaker 3: I found him when he took everything from me twice.
- 1:23:42Speaker 3: You know how I found him. I found him out
- 1:23:44Speaker 3: to two divorces man when he just looked like I
- 1:23:47Speaker 3: wasn't gonna rise no more. And guess what, I keep
- 1:23:51Speaker 3: finding him over and over and over again. I keep
- 1:23:54Speaker 3: finding how great he really is. Every time a hardship
- 1:23:57Speaker 3: come in my life, I find out a little bit
- 1:23:59Speaker 3: more about it. I find out just how powerful, how forgiving,
- 1:24:04Speaker 3: how loving, how merciful, how graceful he really is. Every
- 1:24:09Speaker 3: time something happened, when they write me off and he
- 1:24:12Speaker 3: lifts me up again. I keep finding out about him
- 1:24:15Speaker 3: every day I wake up how good he really is,
- 1:24:19Speaker 3: So don't worry about the brother. They go to prison
- 1:24:21Speaker 3: and find it. And now he want to tell me
- 1:24:23Speaker 3: about the Lord. He been sitting in a sall. Well,
- 1:24:25Speaker 3: maybe that's what it took. Maybe that's what it took.
- 1:24:30Speaker 3: But the same thing it took for him to find
- 1:24:32Speaker 3: the Lord, something gonna happen to you to make you
- 1:24:33Speaker 3: find him too. And sometimes, like I say, you need
- 1:24:37Speaker 3: them trials and them tribulations to get you in a
- 1:24:39Speaker 3: better place. These trials and tribulations ain't to break you
- 1:24:43Speaker 3: and to destroy you. It's to strengthen you. You need
- 1:24:47Speaker 3: all it is to draw you closer. You think about it,
- 1:24:52Speaker 3: You wouldn't even go to God if you didn't need him.
- 1:24:55Speaker 3: Must be talking to myself. I know I wouldn't have
- 1:24:59Speaker 3: if everything went right for me my whole life. You
- 1:25:02Speaker 3: think I'll be talking to God all the time now
- 1:25:06Speaker 3: because I got everything, But I need him No, And
- 1:25:10Speaker 3: it pushed me to him, and I'm glad it did.
- 1:25:13Speaker 3: So remember stop tripping about your circumstances. Man, get yourself
- 1:25:18Speaker 3: in contact with your creator. God loves you, want some
- 1:25:21Speaker 3: relationship with you. Sometimes he trials and tribulations is to
- 1:25:25Speaker 3: get that relationship. Okay, those are my closing remarks. Hope
- 1:25:29Speaker 3: I ain't step on nobody's toes. Y'all have a great
- 1:25:31Speaker 3: root here.
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: Talk to God. He loves to hear first, Okay for sure.
