- 1:47Speaker 7: then up looking me, come.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Come out, You'll.
- 1:59Speaker 8: Think, uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody. You
- 2:05Speaker 8: are listening to the voice, Come on, dig me now.
- 2:08Speaker 8: One and only Steve Harvey got a radio show, man
- 2:14Speaker 8: or man o man. I thank God for it. I
- 2:17Speaker 8: thank God for all he's done for me, for all
- 2:21Speaker 8: the little things that I oftentimes fail to thank him
- 2:25Speaker 8: for that I take for granted for you know, I
- 2:31Speaker 8: was talking the other day to a buddy of mine.
- 2:35Speaker 8: We had gotten to this conversation about God and and
- 2:41Speaker 8: in the conversation we had narrowed it down and we
- 2:43Speaker 8: were talking about changing the way we are as people.
- 2:47Speaker 8: You know that everybody has to change. You know, nothing
- 2:51Speaker 8: stays the same. Everybody changes. And a lot of these
- 2:56Speaker 8: changes can be for the good, and a lot of
- 2:59Speaker 8: them are just They just come with time.
- 3:01Speaker 2: You know.
- 3:01Speaker 8: Sometimes it's aging that changes us. But no matter how
- 3:05Speaker 8: old you get, you still have the ability to improve
- 3:11Speaker 8: as a person. You may not have the footspeed you
- 3:15Speaker 8: used to have. You may not be as agile as
- 3:19Speaker 8: you used to be. Your energy level may not be
- 3:24Speaker 8: what it used to be. Your desire to do some
- 3:28Speaker 8: of the things that you used to do may be gone.
- 3:33Speaker 2: The thing that.
- 3:36Speaker 8: Doesn't have to change and will not change is you.
- 3:41Speaker 8: You have the ability to continue to grow as a person,
- 3:48Speaker 8: even when far the time and nature has taken its course.
- 3:55Speaker 8: We were talking about everybody can change and everybody has
- 4:04Speaker 8: uh the right to reinvent themselves as they get older.
- 4:10Speaker 8: And I equated it to jumping out of an airplane.
- 4:15Speaker 8: You know, there are some people man who get to
- 4:18Speaker 8: a certain point in their life and they and they
- 4:21Speaker 8: jump from the airplane is now almost a stunt of
- 4:27Speaker 8: some kind. It's almost like they lifed and got out
- 4:30Speaker 8: of control. You ever seen somebody jump out an airplane
- 4:33Speaker 8: and the parachute don't open and they life start and
- 4:36Speaker 8: it seems like they start spinning and tumbling and they
- 4:39Speaker 8: can't get it together. And I've seen some mid air
- 4:42Speaker 8: rescues before. But then there are times when you know
- 4:45Speaker 8: when it hasn't worked. You know you jump out that airplane,
- 4:49Speaker 8: and at first it's fun. I've never scot dived before,
- 4:54Speaker 8: but I would imagine when you first jump out of
- 4:57Speaker 8: an airplane that they people describe it as a a
- 5:00Speaker 8: sense of being free. And it's exhilarating when you first
- 5:05Speaker 8: jump out the plane.
- 5:07Speaker 2: But if you pull that cord and nothing happens.
- 5:10Speaker 8: It never happened to me, but I can only imagine
- 5:14Speaker 8: the panic that's got to set in because no matter
- 5:18Speaker 8: how fun it was a moment ago, the flying over
- 5:22Speaker 8: to one another, the holding hands in the air, the breeze,
- 5:27Speaker 8: the descent, the feeling of all of a sudden, if
- 5:32Speaker 8: you reach for that cord and it's not there, you're
- 5:35Speaker 8: suddenly spinning out of control. And that's what happens in
- 5:39Speaker 8: a lot of people's lives. When you first start your life,
- 5:43Speaker 8: you jump out the plane, You free, You young, you
- 5:45Speaker 8: ain't got nothing to worry about it. But then you
- 5:47Speaker 8: get to a certain point in your life when you go, okay,
- 5:50Speaker 8: I'm gonna.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Pull the cord now.
- 5:53Speaker 8: And pulling the cord is an important thing because here's
- 5:57Speaker 8: the analogy my friend gave me. He said, man, use
- 6:03Speaker 8: your mind like a parachute. It works better when it's open. Well,
- 6:09Speaker 8: see what happens with a lot of people is they
- 6:13Speaker 8: in life. They jump out the plane and they and
- 6:18Speaker 8: they having this free fall and it's fun for now.
- 6:22Speaker 8: But they get to a certain point in their life
- 6:24Speaker 8: where they got themself in a situation, or they've had
- 6:27Speaker 8: a little bit too much fun a little bit too long,
- 6:30Speaker 8: or you know, they wasn't open to nothing and they
- 6:33Speaker 8: just did what they wanted to do, or they started
- 6:35Speaker 8: getting involved with drugs or drinking, or started running with
- 6:38Speaker 8: the wrong people.
- 6:39Speaker 2: See, you jump out the plane. At first, you're free
- 6:41Speaker 2: falling this fun.
- 6:43Speaker 8: But then after a minute, man, something happens and they
- 6:45Speaker 8: realize whoa and they reach for the cord, and the
- 6:48Speaker 8: chord don't work. Well, now you're in the panic stricken situation.
- 6:52Speaker 8: And my suggesting that what I've learned from the analogy
- 6:55Speaker 8: that my friends shared with me is that we all
- 6:58Speaker 8: the sooner we can open our mind to God, the
- 7:02Speaker 8: sooner we could develop that relationship with him. It's like
- 7:06Speaker 8: pulling the chord and opening a parachute. If you open
- 7:11Speaker 8: up your mind to God, God is like a parachute.
- 7:16Speaker 2: You know, God can slow your descent.
- 7:20Speaker 8: God can turn this out of control freefall into.
- 7:24Speaker 2: A nice ride for you.
- 7:26Speaker 8: See, that's what happened to me. I was spinning out
- 7:31Speaker 8: of control. I had gotten myself into a point man
- 7:36Speaker 8: where I wasn't doing real good. Oh y'all would look
- 7:39Speaker 8: at me and think, man, stevee man. Now I wasn't
- 7:44Speaker 8: doing real good. I had spun out of control. I
- 7:49Speaker 8: was in a free fall, and I reached for the chord,
- 7:52Speaker 8: but I was so far away the chord didn't open.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Then I went to him and I pulled the chord.
- 7:59Speaker 8: When I went to God, I pulled the cord and open,
- 8:03Speaker 8: and he slowed my descent.
- 8:05Speaker 2: And this is what I just believe. I don't believe.
- 8:07Speaker 8: Now that I age as fast as I was aging,
- 8:11Speaker 8: because I got that parachute open. Now, you know, I
- 8:14Speaker 8: take better care of myself, eating, I work out more.
- 8:16Speaker 8: Now you know, I'm not out of control. I have
- 8:20Speaker 8: a direction now that win. Then got up under that
- 8:24Speaker 8: parachute a little bit, you know, And now I'm going.
- 8:28Speaker 8: You know, I'm still getting older, you know so, But
- 8:31Speaker 8: the descent is so slow. Now I'm able to enjoy
- 8:34Speaker 8: the ride. I'm guiding my parachute over. Sometimes we go
- 8:38Speaker 8: over to to a vacation spot over here, we float
- 8:42Speaker 8: back over to it. But you know, I'm still getting old.
- 8:44Speaker 8: I'm still going down. But the descent because I've opened
- 8:49Speaker 8: my mind to God. The parachute has slowed my descent,
- 8:54Speaker 8: and now I'm rocking back and forth. But I ain't
- 8:57Speaker 8: spending out of control no more. You know, I'm able
- 9:00Speaker 8: to enjoy the view now. You know, when you jump
- 9:04Speaker 8: out that plane and you pull that cord and it
- 9:06Speaker 8: don't work, you ain't looking at the view no more.
- 9:08Speaker 8: You're thinking of only one thing. How can I slow
- 9:11Speaker 8: this down? Well, now I'm able to enjoy the view.
- 9:14Speaker 8: I'm able to see all the beautiful things on the
- 9:17Speaker 8: horizon that God has for me. I'm able to see
- 9:20Speaker 8: all the beautiful things around me that He's provided for
- 9:24Speaker 8: me over these years. Because I've slowed my descent. I
- 9:28Speaker 8: use my mind like a parachute. It works better when
- 9:32Speaker 8: it's open. Open your mind to God, and so you
- 9:36Speaker 8: can see the view, so you can slow the descent,
- 9:40Speaker 8: so you can stop the out of control free.
- 9:42Speaker 2: Fall that you've been on.
- 9:44Speaker 8: That you can get your life together and see everything
- 9:47Speaker 8: out on the horizon that God has for you. You know,
- 9:50Speaker 8: it turned out to be a very true statement your mind.
- 9:53Speaker 8: If you use it like a parachute, it works better
- 9:55Speaker 8: when it's open.
- 9:56Speaker 4: Y'all.

- 15:30Speaker 15: Yeah, this is Natalie.
- 15:31Speaker 14: Natalie. How you doing? My name is Darren. I'm with
- 15:34Speaker 14: the Homeowners Association. Oh okay, hey dad, how you doing? Listen?
- 15:42Speaker 14: We gotta we got a bit of a problem if
- 15:44Speaker 14: you don't mind me asking, who's who? Who actually brings
- 15:48Speaker 14: your kids home from school? Uh? Each day?
- 15:52Speaker 15: Oh my mom gets my kids for me and she
- 15:54Speaker 15: drops them off.
- 15:56Speaker 14: Okay, wow, okay, why okay, Well, we have a bit
- 16:00Speaker 14: of a problem. The kids are fine, that's there's no
- 16:03Speaker 14: issue with the kids at all. But you know, we've
- 16:06Speaker 14: had a meeting here at the h o A. We've
- 16:08Speaker 14: been getting some complaints.
- 16:10Speaker 6: Uh.
- 16:11Speaker 14: It seems like your mother is is uh really speeding
- 16:15Speaker 14: down the street real fast, and you know everyone's complaining
- 16:20Speaker 14: about it that you know, it's a lot of kids
- 16:22Speaker 14: walking home from school and it seems like your mom
- 16:25Speaker 14: is driving real fast when she's coming down the street
- 16:28Speaker 14: to drop your kids off. Did you know anything about this? Uh? No,
- 16:34Speaker 14: not at all.
- 16:34Speaker 15: That doesn't even sound like her.
- 16:37Speaker 14: Okay, what type of car? Uh? Let me ask you this, Natalie,
- 16:42Speaker 14: we're were we From what I understand, it is a
- 16:47Speaker 14: what kind of comfides your mom had? Is a board
- 16:50Speaker 14: escape or something like that? Some a little suv? Is
- 16:53Speaker 14: that what your mom has?
- 16:55Speaker 15: Yeah? She has a little red suv?
- 16:58Speaker 14: Okay, all right. So the problem is is that that's
- 17:03Speaker 14: the same car, that's the one we're talking about, and
- 17:05Speaker 14: it seems like, you know, your mother is is flying
- 17:09Speaker 14: down the street and she drops the kids off, and
- 17:11Speaker 14: when she leaves, she's flying back out of the neighborhood
- 17:14Speaker 14: and a couple of times some of the neighbors have
- 17:16Speaker 14: told her to slow down. And you know, I don't
- 17:19Speaker 14: know if she's flicked them off or set something out
- 17:22Speaker 14: the window, you know, but you know this is stuff
- 17:24Speaker 14: that we just cannot tolerate. Huh.
- 17:28Speaker 15: Well it really does sound like my mom.
- 17:31Speaker 14: But you know, I well, you know what, Natalie, what
- 17:34Speaker 14: we're not gonna do is what you're not gonna do
- 17:36Speaker 14: is act like is not your mama. It's your mother
- 17:39Speaker 14: that's doing this. So what we need you to do
- 17:41Speaker 14: is tell your mama to slow out down so we
- 17:44Speaker 14: don't have the problem, all right, because I try to
- 17:46Speaker 14: be nice with you at first, but if you're gonna
- 17:48Speaker 14: be in denial figure it's not your mama, then we
- 17:51Speaker 14: got issue.
- 17:53Speaker 15: First of all, Darren, and from h O A, I
- 17:56Speaker 15: need you to watch your toes and who you're talking to, right,
- 18:00Speaker 15: I need you to calm that all the way down.
- 18:02Speaker 15: All right.
- 18:05Speaker 14: You need to slow your mama down. That's what you
- 18:08Speaker 14: need to do. Slow your mama. And the way she's.
- 18:10Speaker 15: Driving out, what to do is stand in the middle
- 18:12Speaker 15: of the street and she flying down and so hopefully
- 18:15Speaker 15: she can knock you out the way. Okay, don't talk
- 18:17Speaker 15: to me like that. You're being ruined, disrespectful. I'm gonna
- 18:20Speaker 15: ask her at this time because I don't think it's time.
- 18:23Speaker 15: But you're not gonna talk to.
- 18:24Speaker 8: Me like that.
- 18:25Speaker 14: Okay. So your mama can just drive it down the streets,
- 18:28Speaker 14: Mama what she want to do.
- 18:31Speaker 15: Mama could do whatever she wanted to do. She'll go
- 18:33Speaker 15: on doing me.
- 18:34Speaker 14: She can't do it in the neighborhood that I'm a
- 18:36Speaker 14: member of the h o AA. She can't do it there. Okay.
- 18:40Speaker 14: So I don't mind ever your mama arrested with your
- 18:43Speaker 14: kids in the car. If I got you, I wish
- 18:45Speaker 14: you would.
- 18:46Speaker 15: I wish you would have my mama arrested with my
- 18:49Speaker 15: kids in the car. You're gonna have more problems than
- 18:51Speaker 15: you ever had. Okay, you better not have my mama arrested.
- 18:56Speaker 15: You're gonna get arrested and you're gonna be sent to
- 18:58Speaker 15: the hospital. How about that.
- 19:00Speaker 14: Okay, let me tell yourself. Tell your mama to slow

- 36:45Speaker 11: his kids have written letters.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Yeah, all right. Finally, former Vice President Kamala Harris appeared
- 36:52Speaker 1: on the view to promote her new book, One hundred
- 36:55Speaker 1: and seven Days. She said, quote, people are coming up
- 36:58Speaker 1: to me crying ever since the election loss, and all
- 37:01Speaker 1: I can say over and over again was my god,
- 37:03Speaker 1: My God, my God. She said it was very difficult,
- 37:06Speaker 1: and uh not not because she lost the race so much,
- 37:10Speaker 1: but she said she knew what it was going to
- 37:12Speaker 1: mean for the country. Wow, that's what she said. Coming
- 37:16Speaker 1: up at twenty minutes after. Jimmy Kimmel is back. We'll
- 37:20Speaker 1: talk about it right after this.
- 37:22Speaker 13: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 37:29Speaker 8: What is it that makes the all new Hyundai Palisade
- 37:32Speaker 8: Hybrid and incredible suv? Is it the spacious interior that's
- 37:36Speaker 8: comfy for the whole crew. Maybe it's having up to
- 37:38Speaker 8: six hundred plus miles of range.
- 37:41Speaker 2: What if it's all of that and more? What is
- 37:44Speaker 2: it then?
- 37:45Speaker 9: The all new Hondai Palisade Hybrid so much more than
- 37:48Speaker 9: just another suv. Visit Hyundai USA dot com. Oh call
- 37:52Speaker 9: five six two three one four four six zero three
- 37:55Speaker 9: for more details.
- 37:57Speaker 1: Well, guys, Jimmy Kimmel is back on the air after
- 37:59Speaker 1: being sid spend It for six days. On Tuesday Night,
- 38:02Speaker 1: Jimmy joked about pre emptying Celebrity Family Feud, which is hosted,
- 38:06Speaker 1: of course, by our very own Steve Harvey. He compared
- 38:09Speaker 1: his last week to the CEO of Tailanall's week. Ta
- 38:13Speaker 1: Kimo got emotional about his comments regarding Charlie Kirk's death.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Take a listen.
- 38:18Speaker 17: Even Jay reached out. I heard from late night hosts
- 38:22Speaker 17: in other countries, from Ireland and from Germany.
- 38:25Speaker 1: The guy in Germany offered me a job. Can you imagine?
- 38:29Speaker 17: But I do want to make something clear because it's
- 38:31Speaker 17: important to me as a human, and that is can
- 38:34Speaker 17: you understand that it was never my intention to make
- 38:37Speaker 17: light of the.
- 38:38Speaker 1: Murder of a young man.
- 38:40Speaker 3: I don't.
- 38:45Speaker 1: I don't think there's anything funny about it.
- 38:48Speaker 17: I posted a message on Instagram on the daves killed,
- 38:50Speaker 17: sending love to his family and asking for compassion, and
- 38:53Speaker 17: I meant it.
- 38:54Speaker 1: I still do.
- 38:55Speaker 17: Nor was it my intention to blame any specific group
- 38:58Speaker 17: for the actions of what it was obviously a deeply
- 39:02Speaker 17: disturbed individual.
- 39:03Speaker 1: That was really the opposite of the.
- 39:05Speaker 4: Point I was trying to make.
- 39:06Speaker 17: But I understand that to some that felt either ill
- 39:09Speaker 17: timed or unclear, or maybe both. And for those who
- 39:12Speaker 17: think I did point a finger, I get why you're upset.
- 39:15Speaker 17: If the situation was reversed, there was a good chance
- 39:18Speaker 17: I'd have felt the same way. Our freedom to speak
- 39:20Speaker 17: is what they admire most about this country, and that's
- 39:23Speaker 17: something I'm embarrassed to say I took for granted until
- 39:25Speaker 17: they pulled my friend Steven off the air and tried
- 39:28Speaker 17: to coerce the affiliates who run our show in the
- 39:31Speaker 17: cities that you live in to take my.
- 39:33Speaker 1: Show off the air.
- 39:35Speaker 17: That's not legal, that's not American, that is un American,
- 39:38Speaker 17: and it is so.
- 39:41Speaker 9: Wow. I'm glad he's back. Am I supposed to like
- 39:46Speaker 9: go get my Hulu back now.
- 39:48Speaker 1: If you want, you could say that people, do you
- 39:51Speaker 1: have canceled a subscription? Yeah, they canceled it because of ABC? Yeah.
- 39:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 39:55Speaker 1: Jimmy Camill thank the viewers for speaking up, even those
- 39:58Speaker 1: who disagree with him, but defended his right to stay
- 40:02Speaker 1: on the air. Meanwhile, President Trump is not happy. He
- 40:05Speaker 1: posted on his truth social page that quote he can't
- 40:08Speaker 1: believe ABC fake news gave Jimmy Kimmel his job back.
- 40:12Speaker 1: He is considering suing the president. Is you know who
- 40:16Speaker 1: else is mad Bar? He's gonna sue and he said
- 40:23Speaker 1: ABC before he's gonna sue them. Yeah, he's considering it.
- 40:27Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 40:28Speaker 1: But Roseanne Barr, remember her, Roseanne is she's not happy
- 40:33Speaker 1: with how Jimmy kimmel suspension ended either. She said she
- 40:37Speaker 1: got off easy compared he got off easy compared to her,
- 40:41Speaker 1: and she's accusing ABC of a double standard. You know,
- 40:45Speaker 1: he got like a slap on the wrist. But she
- 40:51Speaker 1: was on you.
- 40:52Speaker 9: She had a show and they put her off the show, right,
- 40:55Speaker 9: remember to put off?
- 40:56Speaker 1: Yeah, she said something about it.
- 40:58Speaker 9: She's like the number one show on TV at the time.
- 41:00Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, Well.
- 41:03Speaker 11: She said it's a double standard. But they were saying
- 41:06Speaker 11: too behind the scenes. Cast didn't want to work.
- 41:09Speaker 1: Well anyway, she makes things something. Yeah. Well, anyways, we
- 41:14Speaker 1: gotta go. Coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour,
- 41:17Speaker 1: we'll ask the crew some funny random questions. Right after this,
- 41:21Speaker 1: you're listening Hardy Morning Show. All right, now it is
- 41:29Speaker 1: time to ask the crew some funny random questions. Here
- 41:33Speaker 1: we go, all right, is there anything like an unhealthy
- 41:38Speaker 1: habit that you continue to engage in despite knowing it's
- 41:41Speaker 1: bad for you, Something that's unhealthy and you do it
- 41:44Speaker 1: all the time knowing it's bad for you. Anything come
- 41:50Speaker 1: to mind? Yeah, a lot of you're trying to narrow
- 41:56Speaker 1: it down if that's what taking.
- 41:57Speaker 10: Okay, and I mean, come on a lot of right.
- 42:05Speaker 1: First of all, let's hear it Jr.
- 42:07Speaker 9: Eating glades honey buns.
- 42:09Speaker 10: Yeah, it's an unhealthy habit. But I knew I had
- 42:14Speaker 10: a problem when I sat down with a six year
- 42:16Speaker 10: old and we ate one together.
- 42:18Speaker 9: I didn't even know this boy.
- 42:22Speaker 10: We're sitting up at the gas station, sitting on the curve.
- 42:25Speaker 10: He owen his o mind and we just started.
- 42:27Speaker 9: Biting honey bull. I'm telling you I knew it.
- 42:30Speaker 10: He was a little fat kid. I'm a little fat
- 42:32Speaker 10: a dope. It didn't matter.
- 42:33Speaker 9: We just ate the honey bum.
- 42:35Speaker 6: Okay, tell me.
- 42:39Speaker 4: Unhealthy habit? Still doing it?
- 42:42Speaker 1: Yeah, you know it's bad for you, but you still
- 42:45Speaker 1: do it, you know what?
- 42:47Speaker 4: And I think the whole house is doing it. My
- 42:49Speaker 4: whole house is doing it.
- 42:50Speaker 9: It's the dog on ice cream and we can't we
- 42:53Speaker 9: got an ice cream bandit and don't know, ain't nobody
- 42:55Speaker 9: owning up to it. Like you know when you go
- 42:58Speaker 9: to the fridge, everybody's going late at night. You're not
- 43:00Speaker 9: seeing who's doing it. Can getting light and light and

- 43:06Speaker 9: I don't know if it's Jackie, I don't know if
- 43:07Speaker 9: it's Jordan's. But I'm gonna figure out.
- 43:09Speaker 4: Who it is. But we got put a can ice
- 43:11Speaker 4: cream band.
- 43:14Speaker 9: And don't get me wrong, I'm part of it too,
- 43:16Speaker 9: But I just want somebody helping me.
- 43:18Speaker 14: Though.
- 43:18Speaker 9: Somebody else is eating his ice cream.
- 43:20Speaker 1: But you said bucket. Yes, so you said the whole
- 43:27Speaker 1: half gallon.
- 43:29Speaker 9: It'd be slowly leaving. I'd be like, I ain't eating
- 43:35Speaker 9: all it is now, somebody else helping me with this?
- 43:39Speaker 1: All right? What if you could instantly become an expert
- 43:42Speaker 1: in any one skill? What would you choose.

- 50:36Speaker 18: be just upset. Okay. I can appreciate that. Okay, I
- 50:40Speaker 18: have a wife, and I'd be upset if somebody was

- 51:11Speaker 16: Okay, that's what's gonna happen. If I catch your black
- 51:14Speaker 16: my house again, I'm gonna play this man, and then
- 51:17Speaker 16: I'm getting on the phone with you, you, your pastor
- 51:19Speaker 16: any more of them. Because if anybody come by my
- 51:22Speaker 16: house again and I ain't there, I'm kicking your black.
- 51:25Speaker 18: That's a promise, you know, Just that's it. Look here, brother,
- 51:30Speaker 18: if that's gonna be any whooping gone on, I'll be
- 51:33Speaker 18: kicking your I'm gonna lay my hands on you and
- 51:36Speaker 18: I'm gonna give you a good, sanctified whooping, and then
- 51:40Speaker 18: i'm gonna pray for you. I'm gonna pray to heal
- 51:43Speaker 18: you by this foot I'm gonna put up, okay, because
- 51:45Speaker 18: I've had it with you, you know. And I only
- 51:48Speaker 18: went by to visit your wife because I was asked
- 51:51Speaker 18: to go visit your wife. Now that was a problem.
- 51:53Speaker 18: You should have caused a pastor. Okay, but you're not
- 51:55Speaker 18: gonna disrespect me my wife to church on the phone.
- 51:58Speaker 14: Life.

- 52:01Speaker 18: any place.
- 52:02Speaker 16: Well.
- 52:03Speaker 18: As a matter of fact, I can go anywhere I
- 52:05Speaker 18: want in this town. If I be at your house
- 52:07Speaker 18: talking to your wife. If the path asks me to go,
- 52:09Speaker 18: I'm gonna be there.
- 52:10Speaker 16: Okay.

- 52:14Speaker 18: stupid brother. Okay. You need to come to You need
- 52:20Speaker 18: to come to church more off. And that's the problem.
- 52:23Speaker 18: You don't come to church more off. If you come
- 52:25Speaker 18: to church more off, you want to be talking to
- 52:27Speaker 18: me like that. You wouldn't be worried about me and
- 52:29Speaker 18: your wife because there must be something wrong at your house.
- 52:32Speaker 18: You be worried about me fooling with your wife. Okay,
- 52:36Speaker 18: so you need to check her. Okay, how about that?

- 54:38Speaker 1: go with it. Do it for us, Tommy, okay, struck Tommy,
- 54:46Speaker 1: you are so sexy? Did I ever tell you that?
- 54:50Speaker 4: What's never? She called me?

- 55:31Speaker 9: See, that's why you don't respect my sex. It's too short.

- 56:44Speaker 9: You never know, you never know. Buckle up and hold
- 56:47Speaker 9: on tight. We got it for you. Here it is
- 56:49Speaker 9: Strawberry Letter.
- 56:50Speaker 1: Thank you, nephew. Subject. I'm the captain of this ship.
- 56:54Speaker 1: I am the captain. Now, Okay, Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm
- 56:58Speaker 1: married and my husband and I have two children. He's
- 57:01Speaker 1: in law enforcement, but he's not a police officer. I
- 57:04Speaker 1: work as a teacher and I have my school kids
- 57:07Speaker 1: and three children at my house. My husband is a
- 57:10Speaker 1: dependent in more ways than one. It has been this
- 57:13Speaker 1: way for the past three years after he had an
- 57:16Speaker 1: on the job injury. He no longer washes his own
- 57:19Speaker 1: clothes and he can't mow the lawn anymore. Those were
- 57:22Speaker 1: the only two things he did before and now he
- 57:26Speaker 1: can't even do that. Nothing is physically wrong with him,
- 57:29Speaker 1: but he says the anxiety from his injury has him
- 57:33Speaker 1: leary of doing too much. So what's the So here's
- 57:37Speaker 1: what happened to him. He works at the jail in
- 57:39Speaker 1: the evidence room, and he was on a ladder maybe
- 57:43Speaker 1: six feet in the air, and he slipped. He didn't
- 57:46Speaker 1: hit the floor, but he dislocated his left shoulder trying
- 57:51Speaker 1: to hold on a small box fell and hit him
- 57:54Speaker 1: in his eye. So he wore an eyepatch for a week.
- 57:57Speaker 1: His shoulder was operated on, and he was off work
- 58:00Speaker 1: for a full month. When it was time to return
- 58:03Speaker 1: to work, he decided he couldn't drive anymore, so now
- 58:07Speaker 1: I take him to work and pick him up, even
- 58:10Speaker 1: with sex I initiated, and I have to do all
- 58:12Speaker 1: the work while he takes special care not to injure
- 58:15Speaker 1: his shoulder, even though he injured it three years ago.
- 58:19Speaker 1: His co workers are sick of him too, so something's
- 58:22Speaker 1: got to give. When I stopped washing his clothes for him,
- 58:26Speaker 1: he asked our twelve year old daughter to do it,
- 58:28Speaker 1: and I told him that's inappropriate. We got into an argument,
- 58:32Speaker 1: and I let him know that I make all the
- 58:34Speaker 1: decisions going forward, and he's going to be treated like
- 58:38Speaker 1: one of the children. He said, since I'm the captain
- 58:41Speaker 1: of the ship now he wants to take early retirement.
- 58:44Speaker 1: Do you think I need to be more patient with him?
- 58:47Speaker 1: Or is he playing me for a whole fool hmm, Okay,
- 58:54Speaker 1: this could all be cleared up. This could all be
- 58:56Speaker 1: cleared up with a quick trip to the doctor. But
- 59:00Speaker 1: your husband won't go. I'm sure. I mean he already
- 59:04Speaker 1: knows that if he went to the doctor, you would
- 59:06Speaker 1: find out what you already know too, that there's nothing
- 59:09Speaker 1: wrong with him. Now. Yes, he's been playing you for
- 59:12Speaker 1: at least two of the three years that since he
- 59:15Speaker 1: had the operation. You're not even a doctor, and you
- 59:18Speaker 1: know there's nothing wrong with him. He's just milking the
- 59:20Speaker 1: situation to get you to do stuff for him. He's
- 59:23Speaker 1: been lazy. He's just being lazy. He's lazy with sex,
- 59:27Speaker 1: with his laundry, with everything. So my advice to you,
- 59:30Speaker 1: wifey is to stop doing the things you do. You
- 59:35Speaker 1: have been more patient than anyone else. I'm sure with him,
- 59:39Speaker 1: even if coworkers are sick of him. You said so,
- 59:42Speaker 1: stop driving him to work and picking him up. I'm
- 59:44Speaker 1: sure he can do that himself. All he has to
- 59:46Speaker 1: do is go to the doctor, make sure he's checked out.
- 59:48Speaker 1: He's fine. Good to go, and tell your twelve year
- 59:52Speaker 1: old daughter to stop, because you're right, she shouldn't do that.
- 59:56Speaker 1: She's getting an allowance for it, is she. You didn't
- 59:59Speaker 1: mention that she's probably doing that for free.
- 1:00:02Speaker 14: Uh.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: He's just lazy and trifling at this point, and you
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: don't have to treat him like a child. But you know,
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: like I said, this could all be cleared up if
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: you guys would just take a trip to the doctor
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: and you'll find that he's okay. And yeah, he is
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: playing you.
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: Steve Wow, this letter wasn't what I thought it was
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: gonna be about at all.
- 1:00:23Speaker 8: I thought it was this man trying to assert the
- 1:00:26Speaker 8: fact that he was captain of the Yeah, I just
- 1:00:30Speaker 8: thought that's what it was gonna be about. Oh, this
- 1:00:33Speaker 8: is a really disappointing letter. Man, This is really really
- 1:00:37Speaker 8: disappointing because I don't, you know, I'm reading Ma Read's letter.
- 1:00:41Speaker 8: I just don't like men like this. I just don't.
- 1:00:45Speaker 14: Now.
- 1:00:45Speaker 8: I know it's the one sided story and she's writing
- 1:00:47Speaker 8: the letter, but she's writing the letter out of frustration.
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: This dude right here, y'all married.
- 1:00:55Speaker 8: I wish I knew how old he was, could really
- 1:00:57Speaker 8: help me analyze.
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: It's even better. But you got two kids.
- 1:01:02Speaker 8: He's in law enforcement, but he's not a police officer.
- 1:01:05Speaker 8: The right away, I'm thinking traffic cop, or he write tickets,
- 1:01:09Speaker 8: but that ain't the case.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: She's a school teacher.
- 1:01:13Speaker 8: And you got your school kids and three different children
- 1:01:19Speaker 8: at your house.
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: Don't know what that means anyway.
- 1:01:22Speaker 8: My husband is a dependent in more ways than one,
- 1:01:27Speaker 8: and he's.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: Been this way for three years after he had on
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: the job injury.
- 1:01:30Speaker 8: He no longer washes his own clothes, and he can't
- 1:01:33Speaker 8: mold the lawn anymore?
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: What did he do?
- 1:01:37Speaker 9: Oh?
- 1:01:37Speaker 8: We find out those are the only two things he
- 1:01:40Speaker 8: did before, and now he can't even do that. Nothing
- 1:01:43Speaker 8: is physically wrong with him, but he says the anxiety
- 1:01:46Speaker 8: from his injury caught makes him leary of doing too much.
- 1:01:51Speaker 8: Too much, you don't do nothing to wash clothes and
- 1:01:55Speaker 8: mold it lawn and based one, y'all's two jobs. That
- 1:02:01Speaker 8: lawn ain't that big. I'm just saying so. Now now
- 1:02:08Speaker 8: she describes what happened to him. He worked out the jail,
- 1:02:11Speaker 8: in evidence room, he up on the ladder, one trim here,
- 1:02:15Speaker 8: no mention of weight. U. How you think you pull
- 1:02:18Speaker 8: your should out when you grab and don't fall. I'm
- 1:02:24Speaker 8: telling you that what happened?
- 1:02:25Speaker 14: She say?
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: How holy is either? And if you ain't working, your ass.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: Gonna get fired? Hold on, hold on, okay, okay. We'll
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: have part two of Steve's response coming up at twenty
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: three minutes after the hour, subject of today's Strawberry Letter.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: I'm the captain of this ship. We'll get back into
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: it right after this. You're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 1:02:53Speaker 8: What is it that makes the all new Hyundai Palisade

- 1:03:02Speaker 8: Maybe it's having up to six hundred plus miles of range.
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: What if it's all of that and more? What is it?
- 1:03:09Speaker 9: Then they all knew Hondai Pallisade hybrid so much more
- 1:03:13Speaker 9: than just another suv. Visit Houndai USA dot com O
- 1:03:17Speaker 9: Carl five six two three one four four six zero
- 1:03:20Speaker 9: three for more details.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: The subject, I'm the captain of this ship.
- 1:03:28Speaker 4: All right?
- 1:03:28Speaker 8: This woman been married to her in the everdence room
- 1:03:32Speaker 8: up on the letter, probably looking at some evidence.
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: He ain't had obeishness. He was doing doo do doo
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: do do do do do doo doom doo doo.
- 1:03:41Speaker 8: And he moved up on that ledder and she say
- 1:03:44Speaker 8: he injured his shoulder, But Dick, when he grabbed on,
- 1:03:49Speaker 8: that was it all the weight told his shoulder dislocated,
- 1:03:54Speaker 8: It ripped the ligaments all this here. Five should have
- 1:03:58Speaker 8: just went on down, but no, he tried to stay up.
- 1:04:03Speaker 8: He ain't hit the floor, but he dislocated his shoulder
- 1:04:06Speaker 8: trying to hold on. Then a small box fell and
- 1:04:09Speaker 8: hit him in the eye. Now in the evidence room,
- 1:04:12Speaker 8: that small box is probably.
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: A jewelry box. It could be a room.
- 1:04:17Speaker 8: With a quarter sack of weed in it. It could
- 1:04:21Speaker 8: be a little maybe a little couple of keys and
- 1:04:24Speaker 8: cocaine was in the box. Maybe it was the box
- 1:04:28Speaker 8: in his eye. So he wore an eye patch for
- 1:04:31Speaker 8: a week. Now, that really makes you look like you hurt.
- 1:04:34Speaker 8: You got your arm in a sling and you got
- 1:04:37Speaker 8: a patch on your eye. Now he tried to figure
- 1:04:39Speaker 8: out how you can play this. His shoulder was operated
- 1:04:43Speaker 8: on and he was off for a full month. Now
- 1:04:46Speaker 8: now he can't drive black people on Black dudes only
- 1:04:50Speaker 8: drive with one hand any damn way.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: We already know that.
- 1:04:55Speaker 8: Now, if his right arm was hurt, that's even better.
- 1:04:58Speaker 8: That's the one we lean on that's on anyway. And
- 1:05:02Speaker 8: if his left arm is hurt, then that's cool. Then
- 1:05:05Speaker 8: we just do the lean the other way. We lean
- 1:05:07Speaker 8: up against the door. Both of them is pimp poleses.
- 1:05:10Speaker 8: You just got to rock the one you like. So
- 1:05:13Speaker 8: I take him to work and pick him up, even
- 1:05:17Speaker 8: with sex I initiated and have to do all the
- 1:05:20Speaker 8: work where he takes special care not to injure his shoulder.
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: This, how I know, is the fat.
- 1:05:26Speaker 8: See, when you're having sex and you don't want to
- 1:05:29Speaker 8: injure your shoulder, the only thing he can do is
- 1:05:32Speaker 8: to lay on his sire back, which is fact gonna
- 1:05:36Speaker 8: do anyway, because he don't want to be up on
- 1:05:39Speaker 8: his knees where he got to put that work in,
- 1:05:41Speaker 8: pull his big up and all this here my shoulder.
- 1:05:46Speaker 8: He can't hurt my shoulder. Don't nobody give it about
- 1:05:48Speaker 8: their shoulder when you have his sex? Come many toe cramps?
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: How they got?
- 1:05:53Speaker 8: How many ham strings out and pulled? How many peck
- 1:05:56Speaker 8: muscles out and toe you know? Many head lastrations out
- 1:06:00Speaker 8: of head in my head going from slamming into it
- 1:06:03Speaker 8: too hardy? How many times man, I gripped that muscle off?
- 1:06:08Speaker 8: You have any idea, man? How many times I'd have
- 1:06:11Speaker 8: told the tendness in the bottom of my feet trying
- 1:06:14Speaker 8: to get my toes to get more more grip on
- 1:06:16Speaker 8: that sheet?
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: You know how many injuries I done had doing sex?
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: And don't give it.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: I'll see you tomorrow, and don't stop.
- 1:06:24Speaker 8: Ain't fitting to stop child horses, muscle pulls, cramps right on?
- 1:06:30Speaker 8: Do it everything i'd have my arms just slipped off
- 1:06:33Speaker 8: the corner of the mattress. I bust my mouth on
- 1:06:35Speaker 8: a night stand one time, kept going, kept swallowing the
- 1:06:39Speaker 8: blood so it wouldn't get on her, and kept moving.
- 1:06:45Speaker 8: Has got to be done, hissed the punk got a
- 1:06:48Speaker 8: little hurt. Shows man missed me with this here pissed
- 1:06:53Speaker 8: Now he now now his coworkers' sick to him too.
- 1:06:58Speaker 8: So something got it when I stopped washing his clothes
- 1:07:02Speaker 8: for him. He has got twelve year old daughter to
- 1:07:04Speaker 8: do it. He can't wash clothes. And then I told
- 1:07:09Speaker 8: him that was inappropriate. We got in an argument and
- 1:07:12Speaker 8: I let him know that I was making all the
- 1:07:14Speaker 8: decisions going forward and he gonna be treated like one
- 1:07:17Speaker 8: of the children. He said, since I'm the captain of
- 1:07:20Speaker 8: the ship now he wants to take early retirement.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: Do you think I need to be more patient in him?
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: Or is he playing me.
- 1:07:28Speaker 8: For a whole fool A whole fool plus son he
- 1:07:34Speaker 8: playing the police department.
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: That's fools.
- 1:07:36Speaker 8: They tied in his eyes, your twelve year old tie
- 1:07:40Speaker 8: of washing his underweghing all this help? How you can't
- 1:07:44Speaker 8: wash clothes after three years with a shoulder injury. Obviously
- 1:07:50Speaker 8: there's some type of math practice that doesn't happen because
- 1:07:52Speaker 8: your shoulder ain't worth for three years.
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: After the operation? Did they operate on the right shoulder
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: that all the time?
- 1:08:05Speaker 8: Did they operate on the right shoulder? I say, yes,
- 1:08:08Speaker 8: they operated on the right shoulder. And I say, your
- 1:08:10Speaker 8: man is full of it. He is just full of it.
- 1:08:14Speaker 8: He is lazy. He has found a way to make
- 1:08:18Speaker 8: an excuse for his laziness. And once you decide to
- 1:08:22Speaker 8: be a lazy person, let me help you understand something, y'all,
- 1:08:24Speaker 8: it carries over into every aspect of your life.
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: So now you're lazy at the job, you lazy at home.
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: You don't want to do nothing to work, You're gonna
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: do the home. You lazy in the bedroom. You're just
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: a lazy person.
- 1:08:37Speaker 8: So you can relegate your life to living with this
- 1:08:39Speaker 8: lazy person, or you can issue an ultimatum. You either
- 1:08:44Speaker 8: get up and get back to work and be the
- 1:08:46Speaker 8: man that I'm married or me and you are done.

- 1:13:27Speaker 1: and saw my boss having drinks at a bar with
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: one of my coworkers. They weren't doing anything blatantly inappropriate,
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: but it definitely looked like more than just a casual
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: work hangout. Now I'm wondering if I should tell HR,
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: keep it to myself, or just pretend I didn't see anything.
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: Is it my place to say something? Or would that
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: just be inviting drama? I don't want to be a
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: part of it.
- 1:13:53Speaker 4: What not an FCC compliance?
- 1:13:55Speaker 16: Now?
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: Now?
- 1:13:56Speaker 4: What day?
- 1:13:57Speaker 14: What do they say on that?
- 1:13:58Speaker 4: What're you supposed to do?
- 1:13:59Speaker 16: Tell?
- 1:14:01Speaker 4: Say something you're supposed to go to. You're supposed to
- 1:14:03Speaker 4: go to HRS.
- 1:14:05Speaker 11: Yeah, I don't think I'm a good person to ask
- 1:14:09Speaker 11: if you married because I married.
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: My Well that makes sense, but you're supposed to tell
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: you're in violation, missus Ferrell. He wasn't my bass though,
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: but right, two different Yeah, he was just my co worker.
- 1:14:33Speaker 4: But they were just having a simple drinks and that's
- 1:14:35Speaker 4: all they saw. You didn't seem nothing.
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: Else, right, she said, they weren't doing anything blatantly inappropriate.
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: That's what the cold Play concert, the kiss came U.
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: All right, So what what are you saying? She should
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: keep it to herself, not saying anything.
- 1:14:54Speaker 9: This ain't got nothing to do with you. I think
- 1:14:55Speaker 9: you keep quiet. And if they was doing something appropriate,
- 1:14:57Speaker 9: then you got then you got graphs saying at a.
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: Bar, yeah, they be doing inappropriate.
- 1:15:05Speaker 10: We just had f CC training. We're supposed to tell
- 1:15:08Speaker 10: we just had this training, and we just had the training.
- 1:15:14Speaker 9: It's that the same thing.
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: But here's a better question. If you knew that, if
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: if you knew this about Carla, if this was now
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: what you have told, would you tell.
- 1:15:26Speaker 10: I'm not trying to get I'm Carlbody can tell them
- 1:15:29Speaker 10: what you look like, Carla.
- 1:15:36Speaker 11: At the time, what were going with a lot of
- 1:15:38Speaker 11: people at the job, the coworkers, They would walk past
- 1:15:41Speaker 11: my office.
- 1:15:44Speaker 9: And what we know, we know, we know.
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: You all are not anything. What where they invited to

- 1:16:22Speaker 14: Guys.
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: Ava on Steve Harvey FM says, I just moved in
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: with a new roommate and found out her boyfriend is
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: someone I hooked up with a couple of times a
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: while back. The awkward part is when he saw me,
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: he acted like we've never met. My roommate clearly has
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: no idea, And now I feel like I'm living with
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: this huge secret. Do I tell her what happened, confront him,
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: or let it go and hope it never comes up.
- 1:16:49Speaker 9: See that's what's wrong with Lady's latest. Always got it.
- 1:16:53Speaker 9: It's oh, it's just this heavy weight. I just feel like,
- 1:16:57Speaker 9: why the guilty of it all? Like he ain't you?
- 1:17:00Speaker 9: He played it so smooth, and that's the same thing
- 1:17:03Speaker 9: you need to do. Play it so smooth. Now when
- 1:17:06Speaker 9: he come over there and the girlfriend ain't there and
- 1:17:08Speaker 9: it's just you and him, Yeah, that's gonna happen. That's
- 1:17:13Speaker 9: gonna happen. You're gonna come over there. She's gonna going
- 1:17:16Speaker 9: over there, my girl there. I'll be there in about
- 1:17:18Speaker 9: an hour, and just wait on that part. That hour
- 1:17:20Speaker 9: right there, thats gonna be a long hour, crucial, crucial. Yeah, Now,
- 1:17:24Speaker 9: what y'all gonna do in that hour? That tells the
- 1:17:29Speaker 9: he needs to wait in the car.
- 1:17:33Speaker 10: Why it's one word. Y'all got to let go that.
- 1:17:35Speaker 10: Me and Tommy have no problem with why y'all always
- 1:17:37Speaker 10: want to tell. Y'all got to tell. Don't say nothing because.
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: We stuffer from guilt. Sometimes there's no guilt us. It
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: wears on us.
- 1:17:47Speaker 9: Sometimes there's no If you tell, you can't hook back
- 1:17:51Speaker 9: up with him again. See, that's your problem.
- 1:17:53Speaker 10: You can have it beginning.
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: Yeah, she all right, we'll have more, Thank you, guys.

- 1:18:02Speaker 1: up at twenty minutes after. Right after this, you're listening
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, there's a new
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: trend sparking debate on social media. It's called grandma showers,
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: as in baby showers for grandmothers. Instead of celebrating the
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: mom to be, these parties put the spotlight on the
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: soon to be grandma. While many question the need for
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: these parties in the first place, supporters say it makes sense,
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: especially if the grandmother will be helping with childcare, having
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: baby stuff at her house like the crib or the
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: diapers that can be super practical. Critics, on the other hand,
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: call it tackie and peak boomer or Generation X entitlement,
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: and says it shifts attention and gives away from the
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: actual parents. What do you guys think?
- 1:18:54Speaker 9: I think this is very stupid. That's the new grandmama
- 1:18:57Speaker 9: just thirty some years old.
- 1:18:58Speaker 4: That's what this is.
- 1:19:06Speaker 11: Your grandmother, Tommy, your grandparent, junior, your I already said
- 1:19:11Speaker 11: I think it's stupid.
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: Yeah, oh you do, Oh yeah, I said that. Yeah,
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: I think for what it's Yeah, I don't like to
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: have all the things that she needs to at the
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: house while she's watching the baby.
- 1:19:25Speaker 9: Why is these kids not raising their own kids? Why
- 1:19:27Speaker 9: why grandmama house got to be loaded up now with
- 1:19:30Speaker 9: all this stuff just because.
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: Going to be over there, Yeah, the baby will be.
- 1:19:35Speaker 10: I don't like when my grandkids come visit me because
- 1:19:37Speaker 10: my wife can't tell.
- 1:19:38Speaker 9: Who talking.
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: You want to talking about?
- 1:19:44Speaker 9: Yeah, she don't know who's saying what.

- 1:19:51Speaker 1: play round. Would you rather? Right after this you're listening
