- 2:20Speaker 1: your life around. Business. Got a radio show because God
- 2:24Speaker 1: no better than you know. Yeah, Steve Harvey got a
- 2:28Speaker 1: radio show. Didn't see it coming, but he did. I'm
- 2:31Speaker 1: gonna share with you today a principle of success. You know.
- 2:37Speaker 1: It's it's important that we get our lives together. I
- 2:42Speaker 1: mean it really really is. You know, to hear after
- 2:44Speaker 1: it is exactly what it says, is to hear after,
- 2:47Speaker 1: and hopefully for the majority of us, that's quite a
- 2:51Speaker 1: way he's off. So what about how you living today?
- 2:56Speaker 1: How about now? You know often talk to you talk
- 3:00Speaker 1: talk in the morning about your relationship with God that
- 3:03Speaker 1: can never change. That is at the forefront and the
- 3:09Speaker 1: best thought process that I can give you. And I
- 3:12Speaker 1: know who I'm talking to on the radio. I'm talking
- 3:14Speaker 1: to a lot of people, man, who out there just
- 3:18Speaker 1: not sure. And I'm talking to a lot of people
- 3:20Speaker 1: out there man that's trying to pull it together. In
- 3:24Speaker 1: other words, you know, I'm talking to a lot of
- 3:26Speaker 1: people like myself. There is a principle of success that
- 3:31Speaker 1: is out there that if more people understood one of
- 3:34Speaker 1: the bait. This is just one of one of the
- 3:36Speaker 1: basic principles of success, you would have more success in
- 3:39Speaker 1: your life. And that principle is this, the more people
- 3:44Speaker 1: you help become successful, the more successful you become. Well,
- 3:50Speaker 1: the more people you help become successful, the more successful
- 3:54Speaker 1: you become. Because you are a practicing helping your and
- 3:59Speaker 1: as you do onto others than is done unto you.
- 4:02Speaker 1: You know, you you you build relationships. When you do that,
- 4:08Speaker 1: people forget in success, that has to be relationships. There
- 4:12Speaker 1: is no one person in this world who is just
- 4:15Speaker 1: successful all on their own you are successful, and successful
- 4:19Speaker 1: people form relationships, and you've got to really coddle these relationships.
- 4:26Speaker 1: You've got to nurture these relationships. They don't just happen.
- 4:31Speaker 1: You don't just get cool with people just cause you cool. No,
- 4:35Speaker 1: you've got to do some cool things to these people
- 4:38Speaker 1: and for these people, for these people to be cool
- 4:41Speaker 1: with you when you need some cool. I don't know
- 4:43Speaker 1: if I'm explaining that right, but that's the best way
- 4:45Speaker 1: I can tell it to you. I'm just regular, you know,
- 4:48Speaker 1: I'm I just speak like that. This is an important
- 4:52Speaker 1: principle to put into your life. The more people you
- 4:56Speaker 1: help become successful, the more successful you become. You cannot look.
- 5:01Speaker 1: You have to say to people, hey, look, I've done that.
- 5:04Speaker 1: This is what you got to do. You got to
- 5:06Speaker 1: take some time out to share. You have to share information, experiences, thoughts.
- 5:12Speaker 1: You got to take a minute man to uplift somebody,
- 5:16Speaker 1: give them some encouragement. Hey man, you can do it.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Don't give up. You have no idea. You you you
- 5:25Speaker 1: right now. You have no idea how significant you are
- 5:30Speaker 1: to someone else, how your words of encouragement could be
- 5:34Speaker 1: the difference maker today I'm talking about It's a person
- 5:38Speaker 1: looking at you that you don't even really know you,
- 5:40Speaker 1: or you don't really know them, and you see them
- 5:42Speaker 1: struggling with something, just say, hey, you know what. I've
- 5:44Speaker 1: been watching you from afar. You're gonna be all right, man,
- 5:47Speaker 1: I see something. Men. You keep doing the right thing. Man,
- 5:50Speaker 1: You're gonna be all right. I had a meeting with
- 5:54Speaker 1: a young man for the first time. And this young
- 5:57Speaker 1: man came into my office. I never met him. He
- 6:01Speaker 1: has an internet service, which anybody can teach me something
- 6:05Speaker 1: about the internet because I know little too close to nothing.
- 6:09Speaker 1: He was twenty seven years old, and he was amazingly
- 6:14Speaker 1: bright at this and I guess you know that it's
- 6:18Speaker 1: not that hard to impress me. But the fluid speech
- 6:23Speaker 1: pattern that he had about this very very difficult subject.
- 6:26Speaker 1: He was tossing around the terms I had heard, but
- 6:29Speaker 1: he was actually putting him in sentences where it made
- 6:32Speaker 1: sense to me. It's very fluid, very very sure of
- 6:35Speaker 1: himself when he was talking about this little things, young dude,
- 6:39Speaker 1: twenty seven years old. And when he got through, the
- 6:43Speaker 1: woman that had introduced me to him, I was leaving
- 6:46Speaker 1: my office and she was going to escort him out,
- 6:49Speaker 1: and I turned around and I said, young man, I said,
- 6:52Speaker 1: what what size pants are you? And I guessed it
- 6:55Speaker 1: because I'm I've been dressing for long. I've been all
- 6:59Speaker 1: the sizes. And I said, you bought a thirty ways?
- 7:01Speaker 1: He said, yes, Sir. I said, what side shoot you
- 7:03Speaker 1: ways at nine and a half? I said, what side
- 7:06Speaker 1: shirt is? At a medium? He said, I really like
- 7:09Speaker 1: extra lodge. I said, well, that's too big for you.
- 7:12Speaker 1: You just want to look lousy and bagging. And so
- 7:16Speaker 1: I was talking to him. Man I said, Man, I'm
- 7:19Speaker 1: gonna help you out. I said, man, because let me
- 7:20Speaker 1: tell you something. You're a shop, young dude. Man, you
- 7:24Speaker 1: are raised a shop. I say, you've really really impressed
- 7:27Speaker 1: me today. I said, and you know what, young brother,
- 7:30Speaker 1: I said, You're gonna make a lot of money one day. Man,
- 7:33Speaker 1: I said, but I want you to get your image up.
- 7:36Speaker 1: I want you to I want you to look at
- 7:37Speaker 1: how you dress because you're coming into professional people's office
- 7:41Speaker 1: and you're talking about doing something for them, and it
- 7:44Speaker 1: takes money to make it happen. I gotta give you
- 7:46Speaker 1: money to make this happen. What you cannot afford to
- 7:49Speaker 1: do is look like you need every dime with this money.
- 7:52Speaker 1: See you when you're going there and you're talking about
- 7:56Speaker 1: money with another person. The person that's gonna give you
- 7:59Speaker 1: this money can not You can't look like you need
- 8:01Speaker 1: every dime of this money, you know, So you gotta
- 8:04Speaker 1: start presenting yourself. And that's all I just said to him.
- 8:07Speaker 1: And I just said, man, but you know what, you shocked.
- 8:09Speaker 1: You're gonna make yourself some money. I'm gonna help you
- 8:12Speaker 1: out a little bit. I walked out. I went on
- 8:14Speaker 1: about my business. Later on that afternoon, I had a
- 8:16Speaker 1: meeting with the woman that bought him in and she said,
- 8:19Speaker 1: mister Harvey, you have no idea what you just did.
- 8:21Speaker 1: He said, his eyes just teared up when you walked out.
- 8:24Speaker 1: He said, wow, man, that man don't even know me,
- 8:28Speaker 1: and he just encouraged me. He's a man always thought
- 8:31Speaker 1: I might could make it, but he said, I ain't.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Never had nobody like him tell me I could make it.
- 8:37Speaker 1: And just hearing it from him, man, that's all right.
- 8:40Speaker 1: I'm I'm gonna get my clothes together. But you know,
- 8:44Speaker 1: I've been homeless. And then he started telling the woman
- 8:47Speaker 1: that he had been homeless, and so you know, then
- 8:50Speaker 1: she telling me that now I'm fitting cry cerus. You know,
- 8:52Speaker 1: I've been in that hole before, and I just and
- 8:55Speaker 1: I'm just sharing that story with y'all just to say,
- 8:57Speaker 1: you don't know who you talking too, but what does
- 9:01Speaker 1: it hurt if you just extend your hand to a
- 9:04Speaker 1: person and give them a moment of encouragement. See this
- 9:08Speaker 1: young brother right here, he could come back one day
- 9:12Speaker 1: and be a major benefit to me because he has
- 9:15Speaker 1: a skill set that I don't have. I might be old,
- 9:19Speaker 1: mister Steve Harvey, but hey, guess what, I don't know
- 9:22Speaker 1: nothing about what this young cat know. And he'd went
- 9:25Speaker 1: off and educated himself. And just a word of encouragement
- 9:28Speaker 1: from somebody like yourself can make all the difference in
- 9:33Speaker 1: another person's life. So remember on your way to the top,
- 9:38Speaker 1: the more people that you help become successful, the more
- 9:42Speaker 1: successful you become. It's a requirement of God that you
- 9:46Speaker 1: do that. That ain't Steve Harvey talking. If you read
- 9:49Speaker 1: your Bible. Somebody got a Bible verse that backed me up,
- 9:52Speaker 1: Email it to me today if you know what it is.
- 9:54Speaker 1: I don't know, but y'all do. Out there all right,

- 10:27Speaker 1: of black people, Curlin. You like curling, love curly? I

- 11:14Speaker 1: for you? Oh? Yeah, I ain't no doubt about that.
- 11:16Speaker 1: I'm a product of prayer, as even as there's no
- 11:23Speaker 1: way to explain me without praying twice. Boy, if I
- 11:27Speaker 1: look in my life, my past, my own goings and
- 11:30Speaker 1: inner cummings. What he done for me in a cummings,
- 11:38Speaker 1: the stuff that I let in come into my life.
- 11:42Speaker 1: I scrambled. That's not on the boy. God, I'm I
- 11:49Speaker 1: know good Wall. My mama was praying for me because
- 11:54Speaker 1: I have made some decisions. Why, I know should have
- 11:58Speaker 1: sunk me. Well, you know, living in a car for
- 12:01Speaker 1: three years, it's pretty low, pretty low. But the thing
- 12:04Speaker 1: about it, do you know what I realized? Man? You
- 12:06Speaker 1: know when I see you homeless people, I was never that. Yeah,
- 12:10Speaker 1: I didn't live in infrigerator, boxer under bridge or nothing
- 12:13Speaker 1: like that. I was moving around in a car, you know,
- 12:16Speaker 1: stealing gas and you know, stealing food. I was just
- 12:20Speaker 1: trying to make it work. I had some dignity to mind.
- 12:24Speaker 1: And I'm not saying if you still that's dignified. But
- 12:27Speaker 1: that's I didn't see begging. Wasn't the option so stilling
- 12:30Speaker 1: because I thought it was more respectful, more proud of Yeah,
- 12:38Speaker 1: oh this is passed. The statue of limitations. I can
- 12:41Speaker 1: tell y'all all this because the statue of limitations has gone.
- 12:45Speaker 1: I know, gonna here well, because like you're gonna be
- 12:48Speaker 1: on your own Judge show. Well, like I told y'all
- 12:53Speaker 1: in nineteen eighty five, from eighty five to ninety one,
- 12:57Speaker 1: I am the sole reason why the sign is at
- 13:00Speaker 1: the gas pumps, now pay before you pump. And I
- 13:05Speaker 1: apologize for that, but I'm the reason they had to
- 13:08Speaker 1: create that sign, pay before you pump, because you let
- 13:11Speaker 1: me pump before I pay. Why would I pay for you?
- 13:15Speaker 1: So he's wearing a badge of mine. If I'm already pumped,
- 13:20Speaker 1: why what I pay? I have the gass. I don't
- 13:25Speaker 1: have the money, but I got the gass. It's time
- 13:29Speaker 1: to move on. Coming up a third, exactly what I
- 13:33Speaker 1: said soon as I got through pumping. It's time to
- 13:35Speaker 1: move on. Move on. Coming up at thirty two minutes

- 24:50Speaker 1: She gets mail and her packages in that robe, and
- 24:53Speaker 1: she puts out the trash in that robe. She's a widow,
- 24:56Speaker 1: so I think she's desperate for attention. Should I report
- 25:00Speaker 1: her to the h o A or talk to her
- 25:01Speaker 1: about this? What? You're gonna report her to the home
- 25:04Speaker 1: on Associates? Before she breaking her home on the rule,

- 26:11Speaker 1: that's what she's concerned unless all of me it is
- 26:13Speaker 1: on trash. They started outside talking waiting on. But she

- 26:44Speaker 1: care if his sister is making a fool out of herself,
- 26:47Speaker 1: But I do. I know for a fact that the
- 26:49Speaker 1: man she's cheating with is messing with another chick. I
- 26:53Speaker 1: don't want her to mess up her marriage for him,
- 26:55Speaker 1: So do I tell her what that man she's cheating

- 27:21Speaker 1: doesn't want me. Stay up. Ain't got nothing to do
- 27:26Speaker 1: with this. She ain't got nothing to do with you.
- 27:29Speaker 1: She knows that she doesn't want her to mess up

- 29:30Speaker 1: This happened on Wednesday, on the heels of Adidas cutting
- 29:33Speaker 1: ties with him over his anti anti Semitic comments. A
- 29:37Speaker 1: spokesperson for the company, which is owned by a Jewish family, said,
- 29:42Speaker 1: we condemn his recent divisive remarks and do not tolerate
- 29:46Speaker 1: anti Semitism or any other form of hate speech. Sketchers
- 29:51Speaker 1: is not considering and it has no intention of working
- 29:54Speaker 1: with West. Sketcher's executives escorted Kanye and his party from
- 29:59Speaker 1: the building after a brief conversation. What is he just
- 30:04Speaker 1: show up? Play for him? Think he could just go down? Now? See,

- 31:16Speaker 1: we're going down here. We're gonna do some designs for sketches. No,
- 31:19Speaker 1: you're not, bros. And you know what, man, it's really
- 31:22Speaker 1: sad to watch this. It's a damn shame that you
- 31:25Speaker 1: have to use people's tragedies and calamities to make lessons
- 31:31Speaker 1: for other people. But let this be a lesson to everybody.
- 31:37Speaker 1: You can't there are rules to the game, and it
- 31:41Speaker 1: is the game, and you cannot break the rules to
- 31:44Speaker 1: the game without consequences. Wow. Yeah, you cannot operate in
- 31:49Speaker 1: this world on an island all by yourself. You cannot
- 31:52Speaker 1: become successful alone. You have to collaborate, have partnerships and
- 31:59Speaker 1: relationship in this world. And once you started burning all
- 32:03Speaker 1: those bridges, man, you are in trouble. Yes and more
- 32:08Speaker 1: companies Steve are dropping Kanye Kanye Peloton. The exercise company

- 34:26Speaker 1: Jizelle is worried about his health. She doesn't want him
- 34:29Speaker 1: to continue to get injured and not to be able
- 34:31Speaker 1: to enjoy life in the future. She's doing this for
- 34:35Speaker 1: her family. She's trying to keep the family together. You know,
- 34:38Speaker 1: you need to get an Xbox or some PlayStation and
- 34:40Speaker 1: play on that. Do that, play yourself otation that's right,

- 35:13Speaker 1: I would look, man, I mean, look, the season is
- 35:16Speaker 1: not going well. You're not gonna salvage you. That's why
- 35:19Speaker 1: you had to take the two weeks off to try
- 35:21Speaker 1: to salvage your family. Then because you told him you
- 35:23Speaker 1: was gonna spend time with him, then you up and
- 35:24Speaker 1: went back to your training. Can't right? You know these families, man, go, hey,
- 35:28Speaker 1: we got our dad back, or he's gonna be going

- 36:12Speaker 1: strong in the face of adversity as the team tries
- 36:15Speaker 1: to salvage its season after dropping its first three games.
- 36:19Speaker 1: Will want it to instill in the Lakers that, no
- 36:22Speaker 1: matter how grim things look, the only way to overcome
- 36:26Speaker 1: them is by sticking together and appreciating the struggle. We
- 36:31Speaker 1: all know that. Of course, Will has been experiencing constant
- 36:34Speaker 1: scrutiny after he slaps Chris Rock at this year's Oscars.
- 36:39Speaker 1: Even though Will eventually apologize to Chris, he has been
- 36:43Speaker 1: doing damage control ever since to repair his public image.
- 36:47Speaker 1: Lakers owner Jeanie Buss and general manager Rob Polinka and
- 36:51Speaker 1: the team present it Will with the number fourteen Lakers jersey.

- 37:35Speaker 1: things look, the only way to overcome them is by
- 37:38Speaker 1: sticking together and appreciate this stage. I mean, he knows
- 37:46Speaker 1: something about that he's been going through since the Oscars,
- 37:49Speaker 1: you know, so you know something about things looking you know, horrible,
- 37:54Speaker 1: and think that that Oscar slap was due probably the
- 37:59Speaker 1: biggest public fiasco that we all has had to him
- 38:02Speaker 1: do in his career. Definitely. You know, I've had many
- 38:13Speaker 1: many So what would you say to the Lakers? Then? Okay, well, yeah,

- 41:11Speaker 1: of chips. Girls. But you shouting me and grease, let
- 41:18Speaker 1: me grease alone. People like that, I had answer whatever
- 41:23Speaker 1: I want to. You know, it's like this right here,
- 41:26Speaker 1: if you like, if you look at Tommy on the
- 41:28Speaker 1: zoom right now, you ever noticed why Tommy only show
- 41:30Speaker 1: you his head why you're talking about because he looked normal?
- 41:40Speaker 1: All right, go ahead, smooth. The poet from Charlotte Hasty.
- 41:48Speaker 1: My name is smooth the poet. I'm out of Charlotte.
- 41:51Speaker 1: I'm a big fan of the morning show, but I'm
- 41:55Speaker 1: also a big fan of your tipcom. I grew up
- 41:57Speaker 1: on your sitcom thirty five now listening to your show
- 42:01Speaker 1: and I see that you really dig on music. So
- 42:03Speaker 1: I got two folk questions. One, can we get like
- 42:07Speaker 1: a sit cover union? Were all the cast still a
- 42:10Speaker 1: live restus piece? Samella Santana? That was a kind of dope.
- 42:13Speaker 1: And Two, because you're real big on music, we're gonna
- 42:16Speaker 1: ever get a musical album from Steve Harvey. I think
- 42:18Speaker 1: that would be great. I don't know, just let me know.
- 42:20Speaker 1: They'd be kind of cool. Piece of love to the
- 42:22Speaker 1: whole crew. Tommy, I want you to get well sooner,
- 42:25Speaker 1: Fati to get well. Yeah. Well, I want to say
- 42:28Speaker 1: a couple of things. Thank you for you wonderful message
- 42:30Speaker 1: and everything, and I take all that in consideration. No,
- 42:33Speaker 1: I won't be doing a music album any time, but
- 42:35Speaker 1: I do have a question for you, Hies. Your answers
- 42:38Speaker 1: into poetry with all that slurry as speech, That's what
- 42:42Speaker 1: I'm trying to pick out. I didn't know if it
- 42:44Speaker 1: was really if you had been drinking. I just can
- 42:48Speaker 1: weren't that, Steve. If you can then get on the
- 42:51Speaker 1: music then and the one that can do that there
- 42:58Speaker 1: and come and get that. Don't want to see take
- 43:03Speaker 1: care of Timmy. I didn't say that. I'm shot of me.
- 43:14Speaker 1: Kenneth from lebron Great morning, y'all, best morning show I've

- 44:08Speaker 1: keep the faith. Man, never give up. We are the
- 44:11Speaker 1: baddest morning showing the well and to the poet lady
- 44:14Speaker 1: pitciphone to talk about the phone call coming up next.
- 44:20Speaker 1: You're listening to show coming up at the top of
- 44:26Speaker 1: the hour right about four minutes after. It's my Strawberry
- 44:29Speaker 1: letter for today and the subject is I married a groupie.
- 44:33Speaker 1: We'll get into that, but right now it is time

- 44:48Speaker 1: I am five, ten and a half. Okay, let's get
- 44:51Speaker 1: this on the steward out there and a half the
- 44:55Speaker 1: doctor said the doctor. Now, I don't even go to
- 44:58Speaker 1: the doctor no moment. I am five. You had to
- 45:01Speaker 1: get opinion, yeah, yeah, you always get to get a
- 45:05Speaker 1: second and third opinion call. Okay, five and a half.
- 45:08Speaker 1: How can you get another opinion on with a measuring tape? Right?
- 45:13Speaker 1: It is what it is. You just say that it's
- 45:18Speaker 1: not the doctor, Tommy. Something happened, Shirley. I used to
- 45:23Speaker 1: be five ten and a half. Now I don't know
- 45:25Speaker 1: what the hell happened, but I'm fire. You know you're shrinking.
- 45:30Speaker 1: I believe whatever. I believe many an operation on your throat.

- 45:51Speaker 1: the next no more. Yes I can. Well you got
- 45:54Speaker 1: on the T shirt. Now look how high that is?
- 45:57Speaker 1: So cruel, so cruel. I'm just help you joke your

- 46:10Speaker 1: his shoulders. So yeah, man, look you the title is
- 46:20Speaker 1: your trash thinks. Your trash thinks. Next week, I have
- 46:25Speaker 1: one called throat me. But this right here, I don't
- 46:33Speaker 1: know how to work it in, but I'll make it work.

- 46:55Speaker 1: that's right, A little bit this rico, man, how you doing.
- 46:58Speaker 1: I'm one of your neighbors on the next street over.
- 47:00Speaker 1: How are you doing? Okay, I'm doing, but how you
- 47:02Speaker 1: how you getting my Another one of the neighbors on

- 47:18Speaker 1: you know the trash man run on on Tuesday, okay
- 47:21Speaker 1: and Saturday right now. The problem is that that that

- 47:30Speaker 1: stuff out on the on the curve already right right now.

- 48:30Speaker 1: my brother. Hey, we're not gonna go back, and I'm
- 48:33Speaker 1: not gonna go back. Don't give what you gonna do.

- 48:37Speaker 1: me to just over here. Okay, Well listen, man, aren't
- 48:40Speaker 1: you concerned that your trans is thinking and reading through
- 48:43Speaker 1: the whole neighborhood. I don't give a damn who smell
- 48:46Speaker 1: my chances they got a problem with it, telling them
- 48:48Speaker 1: come take it out? Still the end, it's saying out there, okay,
- 48:51Speaker 1: whether that's the problem, The problem is that you took
- 48:53Speaker 1: it out, and you took it out too early. You
- 48:55Speaker 1: shouldn't have put listen out till tuesday morning. And now
- 48:58Speaker 1: who who on this side? If I put it out there,
- 49:02Speaker 1: it's saying out yesterday, come get it. I'm not gonna
- 49:04Speaker 1: go back and forth with you, Mankaven, Damn what you're
- 49:07Speaker 1: gonna do? You ain't gonna call me telling me take
- 49:09Speaker 1: my fans, y'all? I pay rent over here? Okay? How
- 49:13Speaker 1: if everybody's smelling my tras out of everybody on the street,
- 49:17Speaker 1: I don't know from my understanding, it's just a couple
- 49:19Speaker 1: of holes in it and some food or something else
- 49:22Speaker 1: that got out. I don't know if one of the
- 49:23Speaker 1: roads or dog got into what the case may be.
- 49:26Speaker 1: But you know, we need to try to get your
- 49:28Speaker 1: trash in the backyard. My trash ain't going no down. Well,
- 49:32Speaker 1: and how come you the one you focusing this? How

- 49:48Speaker 1: you and you my phone. N I'm thinking that sea there.
- 49:52Speaker 1: It ain't going to nowhere left. Okay, what listen, litten, swerve,
- 49:56Speaker 1: just what we decide on the case we got to
- 49:58Speaker 1: this situation with you, I tell that I just come

- 50:20Speaker 1: If you come over here, you might well called posies.
- 50:23Speaker 1: That's who you gonna need. You come over here, bring

- 53:32Speaker 1: I stood up on that prank, doesn't it? Can't wait
- 53:35Speaker 1: for throat me coming up next Strawberry Letters, subject I
- 53:43Speaker 1: married a groupie. I married a groupie. We'll find out
- 53:46Speaker 1: what that's all about. Getting to that right after this
- 53:49Speaker 1: you're listening to morning show. It is time now for
- 53:54Speaker 1: today's Strawberry Letter, and if you need advice on relationships, dating, work, sex,
- 53:59Speaker 1: parenting and more, please submit your Strawberry Letter to Steve
- 54:02Speaker 1: HARVEFM dot com and click submit Strawberry Letter. We could
- 54:06Speaker 1: be reading your letter live on the air, just like
- 54:09Speaker 1: we're going to read this one right here, right now,
- 54:11Speaker 1: and you never know it could be yours. So write us.
- 54:14Speaker 1: We'd love to help you, and we would love to
- 54:17Speaker 1: help buckle up and hold on tight. We got it
- 54:19Speaker 1: for you here. It is Strawberry Letter subject. I'm married
- 54:23Speaker 1: a groupie. Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm a twenty nine year
- 54:26Speaker 1: old married makeup artist and my husband is a handsome businessman.
- 54:31Speaker 1: We got married a month ago, and I was hesitant
- 54:34Speaker 1: because I saw signs of him being a groupie. Groupie
- 54:37Speaker 1: may not be the right word, but he is intrigued
- 54:40Speaker 1: by celebrities. When we watch TV, he talks like a
- 54:44Speaker 1: woman would, saying stuff about the actress's hair and outfit.
- 54:48Speaker 1: Here's why I can't understand my husband. We are planning
- 54:51Speaker 1: a trip to LA and he's been calling his cousin,
- 54:54Speaker 1: who's a publicist in LA to find out what clubs
- 54:57Speaker 1: are popping and which restaurant will have this celebrities in it.
- 55:01Speaker 1: I think it is okay to want to get the
- 55:03Speaker 1: LA experience, but that's not for him to set up.
- 55:07Speaker 1: That's my job. He jokes that if he runs into
- 55:09Speaker 1: one of his Hollywood girlfriends like Truci Caruci, Tran or Sierra,
- 55:14Speaker 1: he will leave me standing on the street. I have
- 55:17Speaker 1: the best sense of humor, but this isn't funny to me.
- 55:20Speaker 1: If I said that about Michael B. Jordan, he would
- 55:23Speaker 1: be very upset. The other night, we were having dinner
- 55:26Speaker 1: and lots of drinks. He opened up and admitted that
- 55:29Speaker 1: he fantasizes about various black actresses while we're intimate. I
- 55:33Speaker 1: went as low as I could and I admitted that
- 55:36Speaker 1: I slept with the famous comedian three years before we
- 55:40Speaker 1: got married. Shocked, he asked if I was joking and
- 55:45Speaker 1: I said no. He got up from the table and
- 55:49Speaker 1: left me sitting there. I drove so he had to
- 55:52Speaker 1: call an uber. It's been an ongoing argument since that
- 55:56Speaker 1: night because he can't believe I slept with a celebrity
- 55:59Speaker 1: and never told him. I told him it was sex
- 56:02Speaker 1: with a normal man, but he just happened to be famous.
- 56:06Speaker 1: That made it worse? Did it hurt his ego more
- 56:09Speaker 1: because I had sex with a celebrity? Please help? Okay, really, really,
- 56:15Speaker 1: this is crazy. Your problem may have started about celebrities,
- 56:19Speaker 1: but you rule are just trying to hurt each other now,
- 56:21Speaker 1: it seems. And if you keep that up, your marriage
- 56:23Speaker 1: is going to be in trouble. It's too soon for
- 56:25Speaker 1: all of that. It's only been a month. This is
- 56:28Speaker 1: really petty stuff. You're fighting over celebrities, okay. And rule
- 56:33Speaker 1: number one in case you don't know, is don't try
- 56:36Speaker 1: to get back at your man by telling him you
- 56:39Speaker 1: slept with someone famous or not. But I don't know.
- 56:43Speaker 1: It seems like since he's so into celebrities, it may
- 56:46Speaker 1: have been okay if you had told him he was famous.
- 56:49Speaker 1: I don't know. But they're not able to get past
- 56:53Speaker 1: when you tell them you slept with someone, okay, especially
- 56:56Speaker 1: if you slept with a lot of people and all
- 56:58Speaker 1: of that. So just you know, word to the wise,
- 57:00Speaker 1: don't do that anymore. It doesn't matter if it was
- 57:02Speaker 1: three years or thirty years ago. That's just not what
- 57:05Speaker 1: you say. And yes, since you asked, you did hurt
- 57:08Speaker 1: his zeco, but I know you were hurt too about
- 57:10Speaker 1: his fan boying out over all of his celebrity crushes Caruci,
- 57:15Speaker 1: Tran and Sierra. He said he would leave you standing
- 57:19Speaker 1: on the street if he saw them. Ouch. That does hurt,
- 57:22Speaker 1: So you hit him back hard with your sleeping with
- 57:24Speaker 1: the celebrity thing. The problem is is that you guys again,
- 57:28Speaker 1: are just fighting over petty stuff. These things are not
- 57:31Speaker 1: worth losing your marriage over. He's into celebrities. You're not
- 57:34Speaker 1: that into celebrities. That's the whole problem in your marriage. Celebrities.
- 57:39Speaker 1: I mean, you know, you guys can still go to
- 57:42Speaker 1: La have a great time. There's plenty of stuff to
- 57:45Speaker 1: see there besides celebrities, but that is the LA experience.
- 57:49Speaker 1: If you've never been before, you do want to go
- 57:51Speaker 1: where the celebrities go and hang out where they go.
- 57:55Speaker 1: You know, Sierra, by the way, is in Denver with
- 57:58Speaker 1: her husband Russell Wilson, So you know, I don't see
- 58:01Speaker 1: this as a major problem, but I see it growing
- 58:04Speaker 1: into a bigger problem if you guys don't nip it
- 58:07Speaker 1: in the bud right now, Steve, this led us so stupid. Yeah,
- 58:17Speaker 1: the letter really is her husband though, the problem is him,
- 58:21Speaker 1: this twenty nine year old married makeup artist, and you say,
- 58:25Speaker 1: your husband's a handsome business man. They've been married a
- 58:29Speaker 1: month ago, and she said she was hesitant because she
- 58:34Speaker 1: saw signs that he was a groupie, because he's intrigued
- 58:38Speaker 1: by celebrities. Now, this is a tale tale. When we
- 58:42Speaker 1: watch TV, he talks like a woman who was saying
- 58:44Speaker 1: stuff about the actor's hand outfit. Oh, that is called
- 58:49Speaker 1: a glitch. That's what's called a glitch in a man.
- 58:56Speaker 1: When you, as a woman, say he talks like a
- 59:00Speaker 1: womanwood saying stuff about actress hand outfit, then that's a glitch.
- 59:05Speaker 1: And then she goes on to say, here's why I
- 59:07Speaker 1: can't understand my husband. Y'all planner trip to LA. He's
- 59:12Speaker 1: been calling his cousin, who's a publicist in La, to
- 59:15Speaker 1: find out the club just popping, which restaurant will have
- 59:18Speaker 1: celebrities in it. I think it's okay to want to
- 59:21Speaker 1: go to LA, but that's not for him to set up.
- 59:23Speaker 1: That's my job. He jokes that if he runs into
- 59:27Speaker 1: one of his Hollywood girlfriends, like or whoever that lady
- 59:30Speaker 1: is trying and Sierra, he gonna leave me standing in
- 59:33Speaker 1: the street. I can't believe he said this to his wife,
- 59:36Speaker 1: and it don't stop that. This is how dumb this
- 59:39Speaker 1: dude is. I have the best sense of human but
- 59:43Speaker 1: this isn't funny to me. And if I said that
- 59:45Speaker 1: about Michael B. Jordan, he'd be upset. Other night, they
- 59:48Speaker 1: having dinner and had a lot of dreams. He opened
- 59:51Speaker 1: up admitted that he fantasizes about various black actresses while
- 59:56Speaker 1: we're intimate. What wait a minute, he's saying at that
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: team to his wife, Lady, I don't even know why
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: you married this guy. The signs of that you saw
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: early on, they must have been glaring because for him
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: the center being say this and now I went as
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: low as I could. And I admit that I slept
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: with a famous comedian three years ago. Now that's when
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: I quit listening to the letter damned in black out. Yeah,
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: I said, what where we're going with this hill? But
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: then you said three years ago, and I said, okay, cool,
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: can't beat me. But then it scared me though, when
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: you said a famous comedian, I'm pretty sure Tommy locked
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: up in what was going on? Ain't gonna see We'll
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: have ver two of your response coming up at twenty
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry Letter subject I
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: married a groupie. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: You're listening Harvey Morning Show. Come on, famous comedian. Let's
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject is I married a groupie.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: Yeah you did, Lady. You got a man that has
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: a glitch. When you're watching TV. He talks like a
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: woman who was saying stuff about the actress hand out
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: and then y'all playing on a trip to La. He
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: got a cousin that's some public this he's been calling
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: him to ask with what clubs is popping and where
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: do the celebrities have out. Then he told you if
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: he ran up into one of these celebrity crushes, he'll
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: leave crushes. He'll leave you standing in the middle of
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: the street. I don't know who says this today. Wife
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: with this food? Did now? You said that y'all was
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: having drinks one time and he opened up and admitted
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: that he fantasizes about various black actresses while we're intimate.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: I can't believe this guy right here, man, this boy's stupid.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: I went as low as I could and I admitted
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: that I slept with a famous comedian three years before
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: we got married. Immediately the letter, I went into shock
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: because I'm thinking. She then wrote to Steve Harvey Morning Show,
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: what could this be about? But then she said, three
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: years before we got married and they only been married
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: a month. So the cool that released me. I'm pretty
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: sure Tommy locked up. But Tommy, that releases you too.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: So shocked, he asked if I was joking. I said, hell, now,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: I ain't playing. I slept with him. He got up
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: from the table and left me sitting there. Well, he
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: did say. Now, he did say if he saw his
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: favorite female crush, he would leave you in the middle
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: of the street. So his coping skills is leaving. He
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: got off from the table, he left you sitting there.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: I drove, so he had to call uber. Been an
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: own argument, on going argument since that night. He can't
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: believe I slept with the celebrity and never told him.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: I told him it was sex with the normal man.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: But he just happened to be famous, that's all. It
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: was just sex with a normal man. He just happened
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: to be famous. That made it worse? Did it hurt
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: his ego more? Because I had sex with a celebrity,
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: please help it hurt his ego because he's stupid. See,
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: he wants to tell you about his fantasize or what
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: other women. While y'all intimate. He tells you if he
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: see a certain woman in the street, he'll run to her,
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: leave you standing there. But the moment you open up
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: and you're honest, a boy, something you did. You crushed him.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: And the reason you crushed him is because he knows
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: he will never be a celebt. So now in his mind,
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: his stupid ass, because that's what he wants. He now
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: know that's what you want. His was a fantasy, yours
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: was reality. Oh that's a cold slap in the face. Oh,
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: when you're thinking about who you can sleep with your
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: wife around, tell you who she done slept with? Whoa
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: thinking in doing this? Two different things. The letter actually
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: turned out to be good. I have no answer for
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: you in this letter because I really don't care. I
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: don't because he has everything that's coming his way. All
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: this is getting up walking from the table, threatened to
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: leave you in the middle of the street if he
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: met sire, and all this here. Hey, man, dog, you
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: now you got to deal with everything. You did. And
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: the reason you wrote this letter is because you've been
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: annoyed and upset with him so many times. Now he upset.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: He got what he got coming. He deserved right right
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: to be where he is because he started this. Sometimes
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: you have to leave a man laying in the bed
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: that he made one time. Sometimes you have to leave
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: a man laying in the bed that he may stop
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: trying to make the bed up. Let he in it.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: You can't make a bed or while he in it.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: This is an enjoyable letter. Thank you for writing me.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: It's a teaching moment. It gives us a chance to
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: look at it and thank to ourselves. You know what,
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: I bet not ever do that. Yes, famous comedian, you
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. This is a glorious moment. I'm
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: so grateful. It ain't me, Lord Emrys, thank you Lord. Yeah.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: Now she had said this letter. I slept with a
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: famous comedian one time, who I would refuse to mention
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: because we owned this show. Then we wouldn't even have
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: read this damn letter. Would have picked another one immediately. No,
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: i'ld have sent this right over the Ricky smiling D. L.
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: Hugley and let y'all have it man, somebody sent this
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: letter about y'all. We took your name out, which white out.
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: So that's really it. I don't really have nothing else
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: to say about this let up. This dude is a
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: complete fool and idiot. And you know they've I don't
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: know what to tell you. It's only been married a month. Yeah,
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: and already this thing came over. Yeah that's that's the Yeah.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: So now he's stupid. All he's gonna try to do
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: is top you now, but he can't because don't know,
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: the celebrities won't him. And again, Sierra is in Denver
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: with her husband, Russell Wilson. He gonna be out in
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: the la y'all ain't gonna be able to jail, y'all said.
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: He gonna be nose up against the window, having out
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: the car like a dog, got his head hanging out
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: the window. Yeah, doing all of that. Yeah. Well, I
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: hope they make it. It's only been a month. They're not.
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: It's disastrous right now. Yeah, it's over. It's too petty.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: Yeah all right. We'll post your comments. Thank you Steve

- 1:10:30Speaker 1: a bath and over sixty years. Um, we'll talk about
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: it right after this. You're listening to the Steve Hardy
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: Morning Show. Well in trending weird news and Iranian man
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: who received global attention for his lack of bathing for
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: more than sixty years and was dubbed the world's dirtiest man,
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: has died at the age of ninety four and after
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: his first bath. His name is a long time Yeah
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: he had did. His name is a Muhaji who has
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: been homeless his entire life. Hasn't bathed or showered since
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: around nineteen fifty five, his whole life. Yeah. He said
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: he chose not to bathe because he believed soap would
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: make him sick. He may have been right, because just
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: a few months before he died, the locals finally convinced
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: him to go into a bathroom and wash himself. In
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: addition to his lack of bathing, he also survived on
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: a diet of road kill dirty water, and he even
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: smoked dried animal feces in a pipe. Despite this, doctor
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: said he was in tiptop shape and in good health.
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: What you can't smoked animals myself? You can't tip tap shape,
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: and you go at a sick person. I can take
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: see his picture. A better funeral was closed, was cast.

- 1:13:06Speaker 1: We need to see on this day? We need some
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: flex gorilla glue. Well, anyway, he'd been featured in many
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: news publications over the years, and his life was even
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: chronicled in a twenty thirteen documentary titled The Strange Life
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: of a Muhaji. So you know, he was famous in
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: a sense, at least over there, you know, for being
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: dirty his whole life. Everybody. Yeah, yeah, so what what's

- 1:21:20Speaker 1: That's crazy job, tom me. My first job was with
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: the Chestnut Bird. The Chestnut Bird was the yearbook at
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: Kent State. You turn in your driver's license and they
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: gave you a camera and you shot pictures for the yearbook.
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: That really, okay, photographer, I ain't never heard that story,
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: No dog. I had six cameras because we went to
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: then brought it, both of them into photography. Okay, yeah,
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: that was my minor in college. Were talking about. I
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: had to drop out because it was too expensive because
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: you know, back then, you had to buy the camera,
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: you had to buy rolls of film, Then you had
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: to buy paper, Then you had to rent the dark room,
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: you had to have stopped fix and developer. You had
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: to pay for all the chemicals and all I can
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: and I couldn't afford the paper. So then I got
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: caught stealing the pavement. And because I didn't have it,
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: I was at an all white and I didn't have that.
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: I took fencing. I was wanted to remember that. I
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: remember I took fencing. I was one of the top
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: defences there. Yeah, we didn't take No. Dog stole uniform too,
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: and the dude busting me because he had put a
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: little carving in this stuff. I don't know. I thought
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: i'd get away with that. I stole his uniform, hilm,
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: and then Form came right back in classes stabbed him
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: with him. Yeah, man, but dog, for real, man, I
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: could I could have been in fencing for real. I
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: was really really good at him. I was on orthodox.
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: I'd have whipped all ass because I didn't know. The
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: rule was jumping in their head stuff. I'm sticking in
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: the top of the head. All I know is don't
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: let you stick me, and I'll stick you. I just
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: use black ass quickness. Yeah, man, in school, I was
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: one of the top offences. Man, how many time you
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: stick a person before you win? I don't know the
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: rules of that. Well, it's a time limit. You you
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: fence for a certain amount of time, and then how
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: many touches it's called a touch, and how many times
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: you touch it. But now it's electronic. He used to
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: just be an argument. I stuck you first, you stuck
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: me and to be a judge there, and they would
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: judge it. But now it's all electronics. Now, if you
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: touch now your helmet, the helmet's light up. Now ain't
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: no argument about who did it first. It's electronically. Back
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: in the day, you just touched. How did you get
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: into fencing because I had. I had took all the
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: other gym classes all that. That was the only way
