- 1:43Speaker 4: probably got to turn the mouth, turn out, turn the
- 1:47Speaker 4: money up.
- 1:55Speaker 5: Come on, come on you think that, Uh huh, I
- 2:02Speaker 5: sure will.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 6: You'll listening to the voice, Come on, dig me now,
- 2:07Speaker 6: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Man, oh man, oh man, God being good to me. Man.
- 2:16Speaker 6: I can't explain it all really, Hey, you know, I
- 2:19Speaker 6: want to remind everybody of something that I need reminding
- 2:22Speaker 6: of myself all the time. And I'm I'm dealing with
- 2:28Speaker 6: a couple of things now and I had to remind myself.
- 2:31Speaker 6: Uh you know what I have to remember. I have
- 2:34Speaker 6: to constantly remind myself to stay in constant communication with God.
- 2:40Speaker 6: Constant communication with God. You know sometimes you know, I
- 2:45Speaker 6: have a tendency and maybe we do all the people.
- 2:47Speaker 6: I don't know, but I know for me that when
- 2:50Speaker 6: it's going okay, I slack up in sometimes having conversations
- 2:55Speaker 6: with him because I'm not coming to him on a
- 2:58Speaker 6: daily with something that's pressing us, and I find myself
- 3:01Speaker 6: slacking up in the communication.
- 3:05Speaker 1: The danger I have learned in that is this, I think,
- 3:10Speaker 1: you know.
- 3:10Speaker 6: I mean, we've all heard old people say, you know,
- 3:12Speaker 6: you got to stay prayed up, you know, and you
- 3:16Speaker 6: know prayed up means you know you got some stowed up.
- 3:20Speaker 6: You just got an abundance of them where you're putting
- 3:23Speaker 6: it in. Because what happens is is when you're not
- 3:27Speaker 6: in constant communication with God, when you're not constantly praying,
- 3:31Speaker 6: doing those good times, that allows for the enemy to
- 3:36Speaker 6: slip in and do the little things that can be upsetting.
- 3:40Speaker 6: And then the next thing, you know what, you get
- 3:42Speaker 6: several little things in a row. Now you got an
- 3:46Speaker 6: issue you're dealing with.
- 3:47Speaker 7: You know.
- 3:48Speaker 6: I have to remind myself when it's going like that, Man,
- 3:51Speaker 6: Have I really been praying though? Have I really been
- 3:54Speaker 6: in constant communication with God? Because you know, that helps
- 3:58Speaker 6: God againsts that little bitty stuff coming in. And sometimes
- 4:03Speaker 6: it's big stuff, sometimes it's major stuff. But I've noticed, man,
- 4:06Speaker 6: that when I get on a more of a smooth
- 4:09Speaker 6: plane in life, I have a tendency to slack up
- 4:12Speaker 6: in that department, and that ain't the time to slack up.
- 4:17Speaker 6: I'm really learning that I have to stay in constant
- 4:20Speaker 6: communication with God because it enables me to ward off
- 4:25Speaker 6: those little things coming up that can get in the way.
- 4:30Speaker 6: And so I just wanted to make you weare of
- 4:32Speaker 6: that as I'm learning it myself, that staying prayed up
- 4:36Speaker 6: is important that you try to stop prayers, you know,
- 4:39Speaker 6: you try to you know, have some prayers in the bank,
- 4:43Speaker 6: so to speak, and just constant communication with Him because
- 4:46Speaker 6: it'll just safeguard you against a lot of stuff back
- 4:49Speaker 6: doing you. You know, I just wanted to make sure
- 4:51Speaker 6: you understood that because on your journey, it's gonna be
- 4:55Speaker 6: many obstacles. I've said this one hundred.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Times on the show.
- 4:59Speaker 6: The Road to suc Cessus always under construction. I say
- 5:02Speaker 6: that all the time, and it's to let you understand
- 5:06Speaker 6: that it's not going to be easy, but we can
- 5:10Speaker 6: make it more difficult than it has to be, you know,
- 5:14Speaker 6: when you go out strike out on the journey. You know, Uh,
- 5:18Speaker 6: let's say I got in my car. Let's say I'm
- 5:20Speaker 6: in New York and I get in my car and
- 5:24Speaker 6: I say I'm going to LA. I know, if I
- 5:27Speaker 6: drive west and continue to drive west, eventually I should
- 5:34Speaker 6: get to California, or I may wind up in Portland
- 5:38Speaker 6: or Seattle or something like that. But if I drive west,
- 5:42Speaker 6: I'm going to eventually get to the West Coast.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Now wouldn't it be smarter though?
- 5:52Speaker 6: If I mapped out the route, which saved me a
- 5:57Speaker 6: bunch of driving I don't need and figuring that I
- 6:00Speaker 6: don't have to calculate when you know the way to go.
- 6:05Speaker 6: You know, if you know you want to cut cross
- 6:09Speaker 6: on the twenty, or you want to cut cross on
- 6:13Speaker 6: the seventy, or you want to cut cross on the tin,
- 6:18Speaker 6: you know you got to devise a route. Now, if
- 6:20Speaker 6: I want to go visit some people I know, then
- 6:23Speaker 6: I know I got to I need to go down.
- 6:25Speaker 1: You know.
- 6:25Speaker 6: I might go through Ohio, come down on the eighty,
- 6:28Speaker 6: then get on seventy one and take that all the
- 6:31Speaker 6: way down to the ten and then ride across. Or
- 6:33Speaker 6: I might take it to the twenty, cut through Texas
- 6:36Speaker 6: and then and then let it link back up on
- 6:38Speaker 6: the ten. I know a lot of different ways, but
- 6:41Speaker 6: guess what the best way is to map it out?
- 6:45Speaker 6: You can go anywhere. But if you go with a map,
- 6:49Speaker 6: it's more precise. You save yourself a lot of time.
- 6:52Speaker 6: And that's what prayer has taught me that when I
- 6:56Speaker 6: will dentify, continuously pray that I stay in the In
- 7:00Speaker 6: the I stay in a prepared mode, I have more
- 7:04Speaker 6: idea of where I'm going, I'm more secure with my route.
- 7:07Speaker 6: If you just take off driving heading west, Yeah, you'll
- 7:11Speaker 6: eventually get to the west coast if you out east.
- 7:14Speaker 6: But guess what though, had you mapped it out, you
- 7:17Speaker 6: can see when you veering off, you may stop, come
- 7:20Speaker 6: out and not be paying attention. Next thing you know,
- 7:23Speaker 6: you're on a route and you go on another way.
- 7:25Speaker 6: You're going north when you could easily still be going west.
- 7:28Speaker 6: You've got to constantly be aware of that. And I'm
- 7:30Speaker 6: just pointing that out to you because I know that
- 7:32Speaker 6: on your journey, a lot of times you get sidetracked.
- 7:36Speaker 6: And part of the ways we get sidetracked is we
- 7:39Speaker 6: lose out on that very the very beneficial resource of prayer.
- 7:44Speaker 1: We lose out.
- 7:45Speaker 6: Our connection with God gets strained. The thicker you can
- 7:50Speaker 6: keep the cord connected to God. If you thin out
- 7:54Speaker 6: your communication with God, and instead of having a big
- 7:58Speaker 6: thick cable.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Now you're dealing with a little thread.
- 8:01Speaker 6: You know, a cable is stronger than thread, and so
- 8:05Speaker 6: it just decreases your opportunity. And so you know, I
- 8:10Speaker 6: wanted to just make you aware of that, and you know,
- 8:13Speaker 6: to ever be encouraged and to say to everybody out
- 8:15Speaker 6: there and just keep your head up. It is going
- 8:18Speaker 6: to be dark days for you. There are going to
- 8:21Speaker 6: be situations where it's going to be daunting and hard
- 8:23Speaker 6: to face.
- 8:25Speaker 1: But man o, man, oh man.
- 8:27Speaker 6: Everybody has to face these challenges. Everybody get dark sometimes.
- 8:32Speaker 6: You know, look, if you didn't lose, if you didn't lose,
- 8:37Speaker 6: you wouldn't even appreciate winning because if it all went
- 8:41Speaker 6: your way all the time. Do you know how complacent
- 8:45Speaker 6: and content and how easy life would be if it
- 8:49Speaker 6: just went your.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Way all the time.
- 8:52Speaker 6: So when it kept going your way, you wouldn't even
- 8:54Speaker 6: appreciate it because guess what, it's been going this way
- 8:57Speaker 6: the whole time. So what life does is is it
- 9:00Speaker 6: has its checks and balances. These hard times are coming,
- 9:04Speaker 6: and you need the hard times to appreciate the good times.
- 9:07Speaker 6: You need the clouds and you need the rain to
- 9:11Speaker 6: appreciate the sun. And the flowers.
- 9:15Speaker 1: It's just when it comes to prayer, though, just.
- 9:19Speaker 6: Stay prayed up, stay constant with it, because the challenges
- 9:23Speaker 6: of life are coming, whether you pray it up or not,
- 9:26Speaker 6: they're coming. Understand that you could pray every day all day.
- 9:31Speaker 6: When you get through praying every day all day, something
- 9:33Speaker 6: gonna happen to you. That's gonna be challenging.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Now.
- 9:37Speaker 6: I would rather have been in communication with God on
- 9:40Speaker 6: a regular than wait till every time something pop off
- 9:43Speaker 6: to have to go to and reintroduce myself. Okay, was
- 9:48Speaker 6: over a little around the board with it today, but
- 9:51Speaker 6: that's how it came to me. So that is I
- 9:53Speaker 6: ain't mad at it. Y'all have a great day. We're
- 9:55Speaker 6: gonna have a good one to day. Let's go.
- 9:57Speaker 8: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 5: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls.
- 10:07Speaker 6: People who love the heat, people who love cold weather,
- 10:13Speaker 6: people who love skiing, people who love snorkeling, traveling, people
- 10:19Speaker 6: like staying at home. I don't care who you are.
- 10:22Speaker 6: Whatever you like to do, the fact that God allows
- 10:25Speaker 6: you to do it is reason enough to say thank
- 10:28Speaker 6: you if you woke up today. Thank you if you
- 10:31Speaker 6: can think thank you. If you feel blessed, thank you.
- 10:37Speaker 6: If you feel stressed, thank you. If it ain't going
- 10:41Speaker 6: right for you, thank you. If it's going perfectly well,
- 10:45Speaker 6: thank you. I'm just trying to tell you now, ladies
- 10:49Speaker 6: and gentlemen, this is how it is, That's how it was,
- 10:54Speaker 6: and this how it's gonna be. Trip on that Steve
- 10:59Speaker 6: Hall Mortis on Sheldon Strawberry Collins, Real Missippi, Monica to
- 11:02Speaker 6: come back, Kid Junior and the Legend of Nephew Thomas Jr.
- 11:06Speaker 1: What's on your mind today?
- 11:07Speaker 5: Man?
- 11:07Speaker 1: All right? You know I think about this man? How
- 11:11Speaker 1: come people this is so much to Nate says? You know,
- 11:13Speaker 1: people they be like, you know, well, I don't.
- 11:15Speaker 9: Know who you think he is, or where he get
- 11:17Speaker 9: that idea from, or who you think he gonna all
- 11:20Speaker 9: these people have so much influence.
- 11:22Speaker 8: On what we're doing, goals trying to make it work.
- 11:26Speaker 6: Well, first of all, you got to be careful who
- 11:28Speaker 6: you surround yourself with. Then you gotta be careful what
- 11:31Speaker 6: you scroll and look for online because that forms algorithms
- 11:35Speaker 6: and you're just gonna get more of it. And then
- 11:38Speaker 6: you have to make a conscious decision if you're gonna
- 11:40Speaker 6: be a positive person or a negative person, if you
- 11:43Speaker 6: choose to be positive. When I'm on line and I
- 11:46Speaker 6: see something come up, I just keep it moving. I
- 11:49Speaker 6: was on line the other day, man, something came up
- 11:52Speaker 6: about T I and fifty B.
- 11:53Speaker 5: I just kept going.
- 11:55Speaker 6: I don't want to hear that. Then somebody said that
- 11:59Speaker 6: somebody out, no famous person was had done something to them.
- 12:04Speaker 6: I just keep going because I don't have time. Man,
- 12:09Speaker 6: I just don't look.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Man.
- 12:11Speaker 5: And the older I get, the more I realize I
- 12:13Speaker 5: don't have time for negativity. I don't have time for
- 12:16Speaker 5: nay sayers. If you are not in my life to
- 12:19Speaker 5: pray for me, call me and check on me.
- 12:22Speaker 6: See how I'm doing, you know, be encouraging to me,
- 12:26Speaker 6: tell me a joke, make me laugh, send me something happy.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Then why why?
- 12:34Speaker 10: What?
- 12:35Speaker 6: What's your purpose? I have someone who every time they
- 12:42Speaker 6: text me they want something. Then when I don't respond,
- 12:47Speaker 6: guess what the text be?
- 12:49Speaker 1: Hey? Man, you all right?
- 12:51Speaker 3: You good?
- 12:51Speaker 6: No, I'm fine there, and it's okay to be that way.
- 12:57Speaker 6: But stop letting they says in your life. Keep them
- 13:00Speaker 6: out your circle. Stop stop scrolling.
- 13:03Speaker 5: Spend the time looking at you know, I get a
- 13:05Speaker 5: whole lot of you know, this is for prayers today.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Come up on my algorithms.
- 13:10Speaker 6: A lot of inspiration inspirational speakers come up because they
- 13:14Speaker 6: see that's what I spend time trying to look at.
- 13:18Speaker 5: A couple of times you girls pop up just walking
- 13:21Speaker 5: across the street. Ain't talking, just walking across the streets.
- 13:24Speaker 11: What s.

- 22:24Speaker 11: It's called The Voice in My Head is God and
- 22:27Speaker 11: it's available everywhere.
- 22:28Speaker 8: Tomorrow.
- 22:29Speaker 11: Coming up at the top of the hour, we'll talk
- 22:31Speaker 11: to two Chains for the first time, very first time
- 22:33Speaker 11: on the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 22:36Speaker 8: Can't wait for that.
- 22:37Speaker 11: But right now it is time to ask the clo
- 22:40Speaker 11: our chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey.
- 22:43Speaker 8: This is from MONI.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Ask him.
- 22:50Speaker 8: This is from Monique in Richmond.
- 22:53Speaker 11: Monique writes, my husband started sleeping in another room without
- 22:57Speaker 11: any discussion. The first night, he claimed he was having
- 23:00Speaker 11: trouble falling asleep. The next night he said his stomach
- 23:03Speaker 11: was upset. It's been a week, so should I be
- 23:06Speaker 11: concerned about this?
- 23:08Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 23:08Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah, broom. You might not want to tell
- 23:12Speaker 6: you what it is. You know you sleep rough. Oh
- 23:21Speaker 6: you know you could be you never know, like you
- 23:23Speaker 6: have you ever slept in a room with a woman
- 23:26Speaker 6: that had hot flashes?
- 23:28Speaker 1: Yes, now I'm there right now, right now.
- 23:30Speaker 5: Yeah, you're not gonna be able to stay in that
- 23:32Speaker 5: room because the air conditioning is on defect.
- 23:38Speaker 1: And leave it alone.
- 23:40Speaker 5: Just just nothing. Yes, I've tried. I'll try to sleep
- 23:44Speaker 5: it in hoodies. About I slept.
- 23:46Speaker 1: I slept. I slept in a.
- 23:47Speaker 13: Full job, full hoodie with wet Yeah. I had put
- 23:53Speaker 13: on socks, some thermals. Yeah, whatever, Yeah.

- 24:02Speaker 5: that's it.
- 24:03Speaker 8: So you know, why did he tell her though? She
- 24:05Speaker 8: said no discuss becuse y'all.
- 24:07Speaker 5: Don't handle the truth real good y'all always wanted. But
- 24:09Speaker 5: you feel you then you know.
- 24:13Speaker 1: We hand If you don't know.
- 24:15Speaker 14: You can't tell.
- 24:19Speaker 1: I'm sleeping in the other room because it's cold in here,
- 24:21Speaker 1: he is, I'm sleeping here because it's cold, you're snowing
- 24:24Speaker 1: and turning.

- 24:27Speaker 6: y'all perfect. Anybody say nothing against y'all. Y'all say something,
- 24:33Speaker 6: y'all perfect, for me, So he just went on, got
- 24:37Speaker 6: no other bed, sleeping good over there too.
- 24:40Speaker 8: Yeah, I think he should have at least told over
- 24:43Speaker 8: there that.
- 24:43Speaker 5: What you thought, But he didn't show up. Dude, it
- 24:48Speaker 5: ain't your answer. I'm the clot asked you what you thought.
- 24:55Speaker 1: The strawberry let, strawberry.
- 24:57Speaker 8: Let, Dina and Minnie, it's right.
- 25:01Speaker 14: I've been dating the same man for over five years,
- 25:03Speaker 14: and my sister joked about us getting married.
- 25:06Speaker 11: I told her that I was ready in waiting. My
- 25:08Speaker 11: boyfriend got upset and said that that felt like an ambush.
- 25:12Speaker 11: Why is he so irritated by a joke about marriage?
- 25:15Speaker 3: Because he not marrying you?
- 25:17Speaker 8: Oh, after five years.
- 25:19Speaker 1: But you ain't married. You ain't got no ring.
- 25:22Speaker 6: He proposed, he's not marrying you because it's not a
- 25:28Speaker 6: requirement of yours. Now he touched it because now they
- 25:32Speaker 6: want to bring it up. He don't know how to
- 25:35Speaker 6: tell you he don't want to marry you. He just
- 25:37Speaker 6: gonna keep having you without asking you.
- 25:40Speaker 1: That's all.
- 25:41Speaker 6: It's okay, see how the truth feel. Y'all don't want that.
- 25:46Speaker 6: That's why he just going yeah, just because it ain't
- 25:52Speaker 6: y'all as the subject. You can't handle you don't. Don't
- 25:56Speaker 6: nobody want you? Stop that.
- 25:57Speaker 1: You know you can't. Truth, I don't want you.
- 26:03Speaker 8: Okay, I don't want you either.
- 26:05Speaker 1: How about that.
- 26:07Speaker 3: We don't want to.
- 26:10Speaker 1: I'm all right.
- 26:13Speaker 8: Right there, Get off of me, all right.

- 26:24Speaker 11: expensive patio furniture and a fire pit that she wanted.
- 26:28Speaker 8: I never asked for this, and I'm going to end
- 26:31Speaker 8: up paying for it all.
- 26:32Speaker 11: Can I have it returned? Or should I act like
- 26:35Speaker 11: it's the best birthday gift ever?
- 26:38Speaker 2: Yes?
- 26:39Speaker 6: Well, dog, you're going to enjoy the patio furniture and
- 26:44Speaker 6: you're going to enjoy the fire pit.
- 26:48Speaker 5: What you all to do, man, is just say hey,
- 26:51Speaker 5: thank you baby. You know but you know now see

- 27:04Speaker 6: how they go for you or something? Wash the machine?

- 27:17Speaker 6: they won't stuff personalized. She the went out there and
- 27:19Speaker 6: bought this stuff she wanted. So all you gotta do, man,
- 27:23Speaker 6: you just go and let it ride. Just say wow,
- 27:27Speaker 6: you know, and then go buy yourself someone it That
- 27:37Speaker 6: ain't what he wanted. All he wanted his man cave, remodel,
- 27:45Speaker 6: TV speakers, you know, stuff like that in the basement,
- 27:50Speaker 6: New Bob Bill, that's what he wanted.
- 27:53Speaker 11: Okay, well let me ask you this, celo. What what
- 27:56Speaker 11: if he had a return? That's because he asked the question.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:05Speaker 6: Yeah, see once again, you can't telling me truth. Always
- 28:11Speaker 6: got a lie in y'all take it back, that would
- 28:17Speaker 6: be the truth. But now he got the lies. To
- 28:20Speaker 6: keep Piece in his house, he has to lie.
- 28:23Speaker 1: He has to lie.
- 28:26Speaker 6: If you want to keep Piece in your house, you're
- 28:29Speaker 6: gonna have to pick up lying. If you don't want
- 28:31Speaker 6: to do that, you're not going to have a happy household.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Together. No, that's love with love and lying.
- 28:47Speaker 5: If you love her, you will lie to her.
- 28:49Speaker 8: Oh wow, wow, that's so sad.
- 28:53Speaker 5: I'm telling you the truth. I'll tell you what.
- 28:56Speaker 6: Let him start walking in there and saying, whatever the
- 28:58Speaker 6: hell he thinking? You're the find out real quick, uh huh,
- 29:02Speaker 6: real quick that you need some more lies.
- 29:06Speaker 12: You know you're fat behind, ain't in here cooking again.
- 29:09Speaker 12: And we're not saying say what's on your mind and
- 29:14Speaker 12: not thinking. But we're not talking about thinking before you speak.
- 29:19Speaker 8: We're trying. That's a whole other issue.
- 29:21Speaker 5: No, we are thinking, we're no, no, you are saying
- 29:24Speaker 5: before you speak. Thus comes the lie.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Oh goodness, all right, last cake, you.
- 29:31Speaker 11: Go ask sure, go ahead it Shay and Evanston right,
- 29:35Speaker 11: So talk with my hands and I'll hit whoever is
- 29:39Speaker 11: the closest to me. I hit one of my coworkers
- 29:41Speaker 11: lightly on the arm while we were talking. She popped
- 29:44Speaker 11: me right back and startled me. Was it just a reflex,
- 29:47Speaker 11: like she said, or has she been wanting to punch me.
- 29:50Speaker 6: Waiting on that for a while. You need to put
- 29:53Speaker 6: your hand. You need to fold your hands while you talk.
- 29:57Speaker 1: I said. She said, one more time.
- 30:02Speaker 11: That ain't the first time you've done it, She says,
- 30:06Speaker 11: She'll hit whoever is the closest to her talking about you.
- 30:10Speaker 11: Oh yeah, all right, thank you guys. Coming up at
- 30:15Speaker 11: the top of the hour, our special guest is the
- 30:17Speaker 11: rap legend and new author to chains.
- 30:21Speaker 8: Right after this, this t ip Man Hussy game here,
- 30:24Speaker 8: Han Joda King.
- 30:25Speaker 1: Good you are tuned in to the Steve Hoven Morning Show.

- 30:36Speaker 1: Hey, listen.
- 30:36Speaker 6: For the first time ever, everybody, we want to welcome
- 30:41Speaker 6: one of the rap legends to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 30:46Speaker 6: This soldier right here, got a Grammy Award winning artist.
- 30:48Speaker 6: He's straight out the South. He's been at it for
- 30:52Speaker 6: a little over two decades. He's also an actor, philanthropist,
- 30:56Speaker 6: he's an author, and he's got a new memoir.
- 31:00Speaker 5: I also want to.
- 31:00Speaker 6: Tell you something about this cat man. He's a great
- 31:03Speaker 6: family man. This dude right I have watched him from
- 31:06Speaker 6: Afar and which is why he's on the show. He's
- 31:08Speaker 6: a great husband and a great father. I have watched
- 31:12Speaker 6: this cat he paus in to his family man. I've
- 31:18Speaker 6: seen it firsthand. This this is a real player, real real,
- 31:21Speaker 6: real player. I'm happy he's on the show. The new
- 31:24Speaker 6: memoirs called The Voice in Your Head Is God. The
- 31:28Speaker 6: Voice in your Head is God. It's a personal and
- 31:30Speaker 6: spiritual look into his career and his journey to faith. Well,
- 31:34Speaker 6: let's get into it, Ladies of Jenner, for the first
- 31:37Speaker 6: time ever on the Steve Harbin Morty Show, a real player,
- 31:40Speaker 6: true soldier.
- 31:41Speaker 5: Ladies, gentlemen, welcome to chains.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Awaken.
- 31:49Speaker 15: Welcome, what's going on with you, man, I can't complain.
- 31:54Speaker 2: Man, God to get mad at me. I'm doing good.
- 31:59Speaker 6: We met because Change's son and my grandson play on
- 32:04Speaker 6: the same basketball team.
- 32:07Speaker 1: Nice okay, and them voice is nasty too.
- 32:13Speaker 2: Yeah, they get down, they get out.
- 32:15Speaker 5: Yeah, and change all the games.
- 32:19Speaker 15: I like when you come out because you change some
- 32:21Speaker 15: of the pressure off me, though you don't.
- 32:23Speaker 2: Come out enough.
- 32:27Speaker 6: Hey, we' me and Change was sitting behind the basket
- 32:30Speaker 6: eating and Change was eating and I was over there.
- 32:33Speaker 1: He said, I'm sure glad you here because I get
- 32:35Speaker 1: to eat a little bit in peace.
- 32:37Speaker 2: But you know, you know.
- 32:38Speaker 5: And I talked to the fans a little bit differently
- 32:40Speaker 5: because I'm older. I done got tired of it.
- 32:43Speaker 2: I ain't got that yet.
- 32:51Speaker 6: Hey, y'all, listen. First of all, Change, congratulations on your
- 32:55Speaker 6: new memoir. And it's a title the voice in my
- 32:58Speaker 6: head is God. Now, y'all tom Me, Steve Harvey Nation.
- 33:01Speaker 6: It will be released tomorrow. So Change, I'm asking you this, man,
- 33:07Speaker 6: what inspired you to write the book at this point
- 33:09Speaker 6: in your career.
- 33:11Speaker 15: I think the inspiration behind writing a book was the timing.
- 33:18Speaker 15: The inspiration is this type of book comes when you
- 33:22Speaker 15: when you live through enough experiences when you, uh, you know,
- 33:28Speaker 15: it comes when you, when you, when you, I think
- 33:32Speaker 15: occurred some wisdom and it's something that I would like
- 33:36Speaker 15: to do for my community. I feel like this is
- 33:39Speaker 15: almost a community project, and it's a way where I
- 33:43Speaker 15: can talk about the voice that I've really been hearing
- 33:46Speaker 15: in my head and how I can really try to
- 33:50Speaker 15: articulate that blessings come from within and just coming from
- 33:54Speaker 15: someone like me who's transparent, who's a family man, who
- 33:59Speaker 15: tries to balance many things, which I'm sure you can
- 34:02Speaker 15: relate to, mister Harvey, the book just it kind of
- 34:06Speaker 15: spoke to me, and I felt like this was the
- 34:09Speaker 15: best time I put out many you know, I put
- 34:11Speaker 15: out music, I've worked on a short film, but I
- 34:14Speaker 15: thought this book was something that I could do to
- 34:16Speaker 15: get back to my community on helping people try to
- 34:20Speaker 15: quiet down the outside noise and to tap into the
- 34:24Speaker 15: higher call and the higher meaning. And so coming from
- 34:27Speaker 15: someone like me, I'm sure won't sound creachy because it
- 34:31Speaker 15: has the name God in it.
- 34:33Speaker 6: Wow, hey man, let me ask you something because of
- 34:36Speaker 6: that right there, Because it's coming from a person like yourself,
- 34:42Speaker 6: do you think when the book comes out that it's
- 34:45Speaker 6: going to be a little surprising from some people to
- 34:48Speaker 6: hear from you like this.
- 34:50Speaker 15: Yeah, because I think when you have a title like God,
- 34:53Speaker 15: people may you know, automatically think about religion and sometimes
- 34:57Speaker 15: they'll turn people on. And NI could obviously turn people all.
- 35:01Speaker 15: But I think this book is more about awareness. It's
- 35:04Speaker 15: about recognizing a divine gods that we all have and
- 35:08Speaker 15: everyday life doing business, heartbreak, you know, any kind of relationship.
- 35:13Speaker 15: So this is what I you know, I would like
- 35:15Speaker 15: to get my point across with this book. I do
- 35:20Speaker 15: feel like it came from a serious place. I'm someone
- 35:24Speaker 15: that's had God in my life since I was very young,
- 35:28Speaker 15: and you know, it's just my story. It's my story.
- 35:31Speaker 15: It's not it's opinion based, I can tell you that,
- 35:34Speaker 15: but it's my story. And I feel like the reason
- 35:36Speaker 15: I want to call it something for community because it's
- 35:39Speaker 15: almost like I almost felt like this was a secret
- 35:41Speaker 15: that I was all known too because it's connected to
- 35:44Speaker 15: my consciousness and it has helped me to get where
- 35:48Speaker 15: I am right now, which is I feel like being
- 35:50Speaker 15: a successful black man white So you know it's time to.
- 35:54Speaker 6: Do Man's This is really good man, because I wasn't
- 35:58Speaker 6: really expecting to hear from you like this, which is
- 36:01Speaker 6: which is like really cool for me, you know. Or
- 36:04Speaker 6: when you've been in the spotlight as long as you have,
- 36:07Speaker 6: was there ever a moment in your life when you
- 36:10Speaker 6: felt like you had lost your connection to God or
- 36:12Speaker 6: his voice went solid in your head?
- 36:15Speaker 5: You ever went through that period?
- 36:17Speaker 2: That's good.
- 36:17Speaker 15: I think the voice never disappears. First of all, we
- 36:20Speaker 15: I know, me and I have a chapter called Women
- 36:23Speaker 15: are Superheroes. So I feel like women tapp into the
- 36:27Speaker 15: intuition much earlier than men do. Now. The book is
- 36:32Speaker 15: about intuition and the intuit the process. And so when
- 36:36Speaker 15: I talk about the voice and me recognizing that, I
- 36:40Speaker 15: think it was probably college before I start tappening to
- 36:44Speaker 15: this voice, before I started feeling like it was it
- 36:47Speaker 15: was something that I can hear clearly.
- 36:49Speaker 2: Now.
- 36:49Speaker 15: When it gets quiet, I feel like your ego becomes loud.
- 36:53Speaker 15: We have to find that balance, you know what I'm saying, Andy,
- 36:57Speaker 15: And and then you can get a certain point where
- 37:00Speaker 15: fear can make decisions for you. So I'm just trying
- 37:02Speaker 15: to talk people off the ledge and let them know
- 37:04Speaker 15: they got to just tap.
- 37:05Speaker 1: In wow with them.
- 37:08Speaker 6: Hey, hey man, stay right here, because we're gonna're gonna
- 37:10Speaker 6: take a break. We're gonna come right back. I got
- 37:12Speaker 6: a couple of questions in that line to ask you.
- 37:14Speaker 6: We'll be right back more to Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 37:17Speaker 6: right after this.
- 37:18Speaker 11: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Life is unpredictable, but

- 37:54Speaker 11: Globelifradio dot com.
- 37:56Speaker 6: All right, everybody, we're back with to Steve Harvey Morton Show,
- 37:59Speaker 6: our special guest this more on in this Legend to Change.
- 38:03Speaker 6: And I told you you know, look, he's a he's
- 38:06Speaker 6: a rap legend. He's he's an actor, he's a philanthropist.
- 38:10Speaker 6: But I saw him and been watching him from another
- 38:14Speaker 6: leans that I've seen him to be a great family man.
- 38:17Speaker 5: A great husband, a great father.
- 38:19Speaker 6: I watched this kind of supportive of his kids, and
- 38:22Speaker 6: I just and so when when I when I found
- 38:26Speaker 6: out he had this book, I wanted to have him
- 38:27Speaker 6: on the show so I can help put it out there.
- 38:30Speaker 6: So he's our special guest this morning. Now change. When
- 38:34Speaker 6: you when you write a book like this, this is
- 38:38Speaker 6: where I this is, this is this is what I'm
- 38:41Speaker 6: asking because when a person picks up a copy, it
- 38:45Speaker 6: is what do you want to take away to be?
- 38:47Speaker 5: Because you know this is coming from you.
- 38:49Speaker 6: So a lot of your fans will buy the book
- 38:52Speaker 6: out of pure interest to see why I ain't no change?
- 38:55Speaker 6: Was like that, what's the takeaway from this book? When
- 38:57Speaker 6: person buy the book? What you want them to do
- 39:00Speaker 6: to have as takeaway?
- 39:03Speaker 15: Well, the takeaway I think would be that the book
- 39:05Speaker 15: shows that it shows another side of two change. Obviously,
- 39:09Speaker 15: I feel like I'm very confident. I appreciate that and
- 39:12Speaker 15: starting to my kids. I know people probably see the
- 39:16Speaker 15: self made art without the struggle. So the book shows
- 39:20Speaker 15: or discussing some of the overthinking, some of the silent battles,
- 39:24Speaker 15: you know, some of the moments that you know we
- 39:27Speaker 15: you know, considered quitting but knew that wasn't the right
- 39:30Speaker 15: thing to do, and so I think people can get
- 39:35Speaker 15: you know, I think people can actually learn from this,
- 39:38Speaker 15: and that's what I want to do. Like I told
- 39:39Speaker 15: myself when I did this book that if I affected
- 39:42Speaker 15: one person, then I would be doing.
- 39:43Speaker 2: My job well.
- 39:44Speaker 15: I had a business partner that got an early copy
- 39:48Speaker 15: of this book and he said that he's thinking about
- 39:51Speaker 15: changing his life.
- 39:52Speaker 1: Through to my book.
- 39:53Speaker 15: I feel like I've already completed or checked off something
- 39:58Speaker 15: on my checklist before we even released it because somebody
- 40:03Speaker 15: got an early copy and read it. So my my
- 40:05Speaker 15: take on this is just being very comfortable in my
- 40:09Speaker 15: skin to talk about things that make people uncomfortable, but
- 40:13Speaker 15: also talk about the divine guidance, you know what I mean,
- 40:17Speaker 15: the the the things that warned, that warned me, when
- 40:20Speaker 15: something that warned me, when something isn't a line, that's
- 40:25Speaker 15: the most important thing. When it doesn't feel right, I
- 40:27Speaker 15: don't go, I don't show, or I leave. You know
- 40:29Speaker 15: what I'm saying, It's about that that something told me.

- 47:32Speaker 8: at home.
- 47:33Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, let's get to a corporate punishment. Let's
- 47:38Speaker 1: go cut off. Hello, Hello, Hi, I'm trying to reach it.
- 47:44Speaker 2: Mister Cotton, mismss Cotton.
- 47:46Speaker 1: Okay, can you turn your radio or TV down? I
- 47:49Speaker 1: can't really hear you. Oh yes, sir, My name is
- 47:52Speaker 1: mister Lanson. I'm actually the new principal here at middle school.
- 47:56Speaker 7: And what's the name again, mister Lanson? Okay, your your
- 48:01Speaker 7: son he attends middle school here? Am I correct?
- 48:04Speaker 2: Yes, sir?
- 48:05Speaker 1: Okay, good listen. I'm the new principal here.
- 48:08Speaker 7: We've just replaced the last principle and I'm actually calling around.
- 48:12Speaker 7: What I've done is when I before I got here,
- 48:14Speaker 7: I asked for a list of students that were you know,
- 48:18Speaker 7: I'm not going to say problem kids, but you know,
- 48:20Speaker 7: that kind of get themselves in a little trouble here
- 48:23Speaker 7: and there.
- 48:23Speaker 1: And your son's name happens to be on the list.
- 48:26Speaker 2: Name is on that list.
- 48:28Speaker 7: Yes, I got about I got about thirty five kids
- 48:31Speaker 7: that are actually on this list, and your son is
- 48:35Speaker 7: actually on the list.
- 48:36Speaker 1: And you are mister Cotton, correct, I am mister Cotton.
- 48:39Speaker 2: I mean, are you sure you speaking about my son?
- 48:42Speaker 1: Though?
- 48:43Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean there's only there's only one on the list, sir,
- 48:46Speaker 7: I'm I'm it's it's it's what's been given to me.
- 48:49Speaker 7: And what what I'm doing is calling around to all
- 48:51Speaker 7: of the parents of the kids that are on this
- 48:54Speaker 7: list and letting you guys know that I'm going to
- 48:56Speaker 7: be keeping a close eye on them as well as
- 48:59Speaker 7: letting you know that I'm going to be reinstating corporal
- 49:02Speaker 7: punishment here in the school.
- 49:03Speaker 2: So so what's that.
- 49:06Speaker 7: That's actually where if your son gets sent to the office,
- 49:08Speaker 7: which is my office, then there will be paddling going on.
- 49:12Speaker 7: And opposed to I don't believe in I don't believe
- 49:14Speaker 7: in I don't believe in suspension. I believe in you know,
- 49:18Speaker 7: if we spank these kids, we can get them back
- 49:20Speaker 7: in order. So sir, here's my thing. I really truly
- 49:25Speaker 7: believe that we get back to to you know, and
- 49:28Speaker 7: I don't mean what I'm about to say to be harsh,
- 49:30Speaker 7: but if we get back to beaten, we'll get these
- 49:32Speaker 7: kids back in order.
- 49:33Speaker 2: I know he had troubled in English, but I don't
- 49:35Speaker 2: think that's a call for beaten.
- 49:38Speaker 1: No, no, no, this has nothing to do with great, sir.
- 49:41Speaker 1: This has to do with punishment.
- 49:42Speaker 7: And what I'm understanding is if your son is on
- 49:44Speaker 7: my list, and if your son comes down to my office,
- 49:48Speaker 7: I'm going to take care of it right then and there.
- 49:50Speaker 2: If my son come to your off you're gonna be
- 49:52Speaker 2: on my list.
- 49:54Speaker 1: Sir.
- 49:54Speaker 7: I'm trying to get these kids back in order, and
- 49:56Speaker 7: that's the reason why I've been brought in and I've
- 49:58Speaker 7: replaced the last principle.
- 50:00Speaker 1: You understand.
- 50:00Speaker 7: So what I need from you is to get a
- 50:02Speaker 7: to get a great understanding that if your child comes
- 50:05Speaker 7: to my office, corporal punishment will be what he's going
- 50:08Speaker 7: to deal with.
- 50:09Speaker 2: Okay, I'll tell you what. Let my son come home
- 50:12Speaker 2: and tell me he got some corporal punishment, and the
- 50:14Speaker 2: next morning, me and you're gonna do some corporal punishment.
- 50:16Speaker 1: Sir, do you want your child in order or do
- 50:19Speaker 1: you want to be bailing his butt out of jail
- 50:21Speaker 1: at the age of eighteen.
- 50:21Speaker 2: They're gonna be bailing me out of jail if you
- 50:23Speaker 2: put your hands on my son.
- 50:25Speaker 1: Okay, are you taking care of your son? Punishment wise
- 50:28Speaker 1: at home?
- 50:29Speaker 2: You need to my son. Don't get no trouble.
- 50:33Speaker 7: Okay, here's the problem, parents not believing that their children
- 50:39Speaker 7: get in any trouble.
- 50:40Speaker 1: That's the first pat.
- 50:41Speaker 2: But I got email. I got a phone call. So
- 50:44Speaker 2: the first phone call I get is going straight down
- 50:46Speaker 2: whipping it. Ain't no letters, sit home, ain't no email,
- 50:49Speaker 2: sit home, saying day it's a problem. I don't.
- 50:51Speaker 3: I don't.
- 50:51Speaker 1: I don't, sir. I'll you know. I'm gonna come down here.
- 50:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you once again, I am not going
- 50:59Speaker 1: to happen. Send your son to detention. I'm not gonna
- 51:02Speaker 1: call you. I'm gonna take care of my job. My
- 51:04Speaker 1: job is to make it.
- 51:05Speaker 2: I'm gonna take care of mine when you take care
- 51:07Speaker 2: of your, I'm gonna take care of mine. And that
- 51:09Speaker 2: protect my son. And you put your hands on him,
- 51:11Speaker 2: and we got a problem.
- 51:13Speaker 7: We're gonna have a problem because nine time. I'm telling
- 51:16Speaker 7: you right now, I'm calling you and giving you the warning.
- 51:18Speaker 7: Your son will be dealt.
- 51:19Speaker 2: With, and you're gonna be dealt with, will.
- 51:22Speaker 1: Be dealt with on a regular basis if needs be.
- 51:25Speaker 2: You're gonna get dealt with on a regular But you're
- 51:26Speaker 2: gonna get tired of seeing me, Okay, sir?
- 51:28Speaker 1: Do I need to actually have corporal punishment with you?
- 51:31Speaker 2: I tell you what when you do, when you bring
- 51:32Speaker 2: that corporal punishment to me, you better have the police
- 51:35Speaker 2: there because they gonna need corporal punishment. They gonna need whatever.
- 51:38Speaker 2: Hell they're gonna need to swat team. When I get
- 51:41Speaker 2: down and you put your hands on my son, I.
- 51:42Speaker 1: Know that all you know what, sir?
- 51:44Speaker 7: Maybe maybe maybe the slipper needs to start with you
- 51:48Speaker 7: it matter of fact, what time do you go to lunch?
- 51:51Speaker 2: If we can do this in front of the cafeteria
- 51:54Speaker 2: and let all the kids see the principal get his
- 51:57Speaker 2: corporal punishment.
- 51:58Speaker 1: Sir, sir, I'm not I don't. I don't fear you, Kristal.
- 52:02Speaker 2: You to feel me because I want you to stand
- 52:04Speaker 2: there and take your whipping like a man. I don't
- 52:06Speaker 2: want to chase your run on like no little ground
- 52:08Speaker 2: in school, Sir.
- 52:09Speaker 7: Sir, sir, the bottom line is corporal punishment is being instated.
- 52:13Speaker 1: Your son is gonna abide by it. You're gonna have
- 52:15Speaker 1: to accept it. Or maybe maybe you need to tell
- 52:17Speaker 1: you what you say.
- 52:17Speaker 2: You got thirty five names on your list, it better
- 52:19Speaker 2: be thirty four caused God name butt not be on
- 52:22Speaker 2: no corporal punishment list.
- 52:24Speaker 1: I know that, sir, sir. Listen, He's not on a
- 52:26Speaker 1: corporal punishment list. He's on a list of kid of
- 52:29Speaker 1: kids that act up from time to time, So don't
- 52:32Speaker 1: act up.
- 52:33Speaker 2: My son is a model student. He got a little
- 52:35Speaker 2: trouble with English, you know, because his mama a little slow.
- 52:38Speaker 2: But that's my dad. I did that, you know what
- 52:40Speaker 2: I'm saying.
- 52:41Speaker 1: You know what, Sometimes I feel like I'm talking to the.
- 52:43Speaker 2: Child right now, you're talking to a grown man. And
- 52:46Speaker 2: if you put your hands on my son, you're gonna
- 52:48Speaker 2: see that I'm a grown man when I come down, man,
- 52:51Speaker 2: I only we'll put my hands on my son.

- 56:50Speaker 11: Thank you nephew. Subject please close the windows and doors.
- 56:54Speaker 11: Dear Uncle Steve and Aun Shirley. I'm a twenty four
- 56:57Speaker 11: year old student and I still live at home with
- 57:00Speaker 11: my parents. My parents had me when they were eighteen
- 57:03Speaker 11: years old, so they're still young.
- 57:05Speaker 8: Fly and very much in love with each other.
- 57:08Speaker 11: I love hanging out with them because we listen to
- 57:11Speaker 11: the same music and we get along great. But there's
- 57:14Speaker 11: a huge issue that I'm having with them, and I
- 57:17Speaker 11: made jokes about it, but they don't seem to care.
- 57:20Speaker 11: Sometimes it's fun to be cool with my parents, and
- 57:23Speaker 11: other times it gets to.
- 57:24Speaker 1: Be too much.
- 57:25Speaker 11: I'm allowed to smoke weed in the house because it's
- 57:28Speaker 11: legal in our state and it helps me with my cramps.
- 57:32Speaker 11: I'm allowed to have my boyfriend stay overnight, but he's
- 57:35Speaker 11: got to sleep in the guest room. I'm allowed to
- 57:38Speaker 11: use profanity, and I can express myself any way I
- 57:41Speaker 11: choose to around them. I appreciate the openness, I really do.
- 57:46Speaker 11: But what I don't appreciate is how open they are
- 57:49Speaker 11: with me. My parents' bedroom is below my bedroom, and
- 57:53Speaker 11: they had sex darn near every day.
- 57:56Speaker 8: It doesn't have to be at night.
- 57:59Speaker 11: I can be getting ready to go to work at
- 58:00Speaker 11: three in the afternoon and they are in there going
- 58:03Speaker 11: at it with the door open. They've jokingly told me
- 58:07Speaker 11: to stay upstairs if I don't want to see or
- 58:10Speaker 11: hear it. But what they don't know is I can
- 58:12Speaker 11: still hear it, and so can the neighbors, probably because
- 58:15Speaker 11: they have the windows up too. I've been sitting in
- 58:18Speaker 11: the hot tub on the patio and I've heard my
- 58:21Speaker 11: parents having sex loudly on a Sunday afternoon. I would
- 58:25Speaker 11: love to move, but I can't afford rent and my
- 58:28Speaker 11: car note. It's their house, But don't I deserve a
- 58:31Speaker 11: little respect as long as I live here? The jokes
- 58:34Speaker 11: about it aren't working, So would I be out of
- 58:36Speaker 11: line to ask them to close the door and the
- 58:38Speaker 11: windows during sex.
- 58:43Speaker 8: Sorry to say this, but nope, you have no rights.
- 58:46Speaker 1: You have no rights.
- 58:48Speaker 8: It's their house, period.
- 58:50Speaker 11: Your job is to be grateful you have a nice
- 58:52Speaker 11: place to lay your head, and to get a job,
- 58:55Speaker 11: some kind of job, save your money so you can
- 58:57Speaker 11: get a place of your own one day soon.
- 59:00Speaker 8: You got your rent and your car note and all
- 59:02Speaker 8: of that.
- 59:02Speaker 15: But you know.
- 59:04Speaker 11: That's up to you to get out, get a job,
- 59:07Speaker 11: and get your own place. If you don't like what
- 59:09Speaker 11: you're hearing. But I do understand. I do understand what
- 59:12Speaker 11: you're saying.
- 59:12Speaker 14: I hear you.
- 59:13Speaker 11: You feel how you feel, and your feelings are valid.
- 59:16Speaker 11: But until you can move out, your hands are tied.
- 59:19Speaker 11: No child has ever been comfortable with catching or hearing
- 59:24Speaker 11: their parents doing it.
- 59:25Speaker 8: I don't know any child who's comfortable with that.
- 59:28Speaker 11: Most kids think it's disgusting, even though that's how they
- 59:32Speaker 11: got here. I get that part, but that's what grown
- 59:35Speaker 11: people do, and parents do it too. Okay, you know
- 59:40Speaker 11: that at twenty four, of course they should close the door.
- 59:43Speaker 11: But they they might be doing it to help you.
- 59:46Speaker 11: They know you don't want to hear them. They're not
- 59:50Speaker 11: you know, they're not that caught up. I think that's
- 59:52Speaker 11: their way of helping you into trying harder to move out.
- 59:56Speaker 11: They want you to start being more responsible and to
- 59:58Speaker 11: get out on your own. Remember that even though you
- 1:00:01Speaker 11: guys are really close, you and your parents are really close,
- 1:00:04Speaker 11: they are not your best friends. They are still your parents.
- 1:00:08Speaker 11: And parents everywhere have this thing about this is my house,
- 1:00:10Speaker 11: and I do what I want to do in my house.
- 1:00:13Speaker 11: If you don't like it, you can leave. That's just
- 1:00:15Speaker 11: how parents are. But I say this, look at the
- 1:00:18Speaker 11: bright side. I know it's embarrassing, but at least your
- 1:00:21Speaker 11: parents are in love. They're making love. They're not arguing,
- 1:00:24Speaker 11: they're not yelling, they're not trying to kill each other.
- 1:00:27Speaker 8: So there's that.
- 1:00:29Speaker 5: Steve well, your last statement, they not trying to kill
- 1:00:35Speaker 5: each other.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: You don't know that.
- 1:00:41Speaker 5: Let me just go start with that. Well, interesting letters.
- 1:00:52Speaker 6: So as I was listening to the letter, I figured's
- 1:00:57Speaker 6: you know, I do numbers all the time for your
- 1:01:00Speaker 6: old student.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: You live with your parents.
- 1:01:02Speaker 6: Your parents had you when they were eighteen, which means
- 1:01:05Speaker 6: your parents right now forty two.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: Forty two.
- 1:01:11Speaker 6: That's young to have a twenty four year old in
- 1:01:15Speaker 6: the house living. That's young man, So they still young.
- 1:01:20Speaker 6: Fly very much in love with jo and the love
- 1:01:23Speaker 6: hanging out with them because y'all listen to the same music.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: Cause forty two years old, that's hip hop. You hip hop?
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: Y'all listening to the same music.
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: Way different from me and my keys, way different.
- 1:01:40Speaker 6: You know, we get along great, but there's a huge
- 1:01:42Speaker 6: issue that I'm having with them, and I made jokes
- 1:01:44Speaker 6: about it, but they don't seem the care. Sometimes it's
- 1:01:47Speaker 6: fun to beguled with my parents, and other time it
- 1:01:50Speaker 6: gets to be too much.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: And why is that?
- 1:01:54Speaker 6: Because I'm telling you, as parents that are listening to
- 1:01:57Speaker 6: this letter that we're about to read, child really wants
- 1:02:01Speaker 6: a parent, Your child really wants to be parented.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: I tell all my kids.
- 1:02:09Speaker 7: I like you.
- 1:02:10Speaker 6: We can do some friendly stuff, but all your friends
- 1:02:13Speaker 6: is up at the school. I'm your daddy, now, let's
- 1:02:19Speaker 6: just be clear about that.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: He Hell, we can.
- 1:02:24Speaker 6: He sometimes, but I'm not your friends. I'm your parent
- 1:02:28Speaker 6: and I'm gonna play my role. But I'm allowed to
- 1:02:33Speaker 6: smoke weed in the house because it's legally in our
- 1:02:35Speaker 6: state and it helps me with my cramps. No, that's
- 1:02:40Speaker 6: not why you're allowed to smoke weed in the house.
- 1:02:42Speaker 6: You will be allowed to smoke weed in the house
- 1:02:44Speaker 6: because that's what they do. If it was illegal, they
- 1:02:49Speaker 6: let you smoke it. They letting you do whatever they
- 1:02:52Speaker 6: do because they ain't trying to.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: Be your parents.
- 1:02:55Speaker 6: They focusing on being your friends. It's gonna get old,
- 1:02:59Speaker 6: and I can see that it already has.
- 1:03:04Speaker 11: All right, hang on, Steve, We'll have part two of
- 1:03:06Speaker 11: your response coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 1:03:09Speaker 11: Today's strawberry letter subject, Please close the windows and doors.
- 1:03:13Speaker 11: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
- 1:03:16Speaker 11: Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:03:23Speaker 14: Do you ever notice your floors still look dirty even
- 1:03:26Speaker 14: after you mop? Power mop gives you a deeper clean
- 1:03:29Speaker 14: you can see and feel, unlike stream mops. Swift for
- 1:03:33Speaker 14: Power Mop absorbs more dirt and locks it away even
- 1:03:36Speaker 14: and hard to reach places.
- 1:03:38Speaker 8: Like behind the toilet.
- 1:03:39Speaker 14: The new micro scrubbers deliver thousands of tiny, deep cleaning
- 1:03:43Speaker 14: actions for results that look, smell, and feel clean. No
- 1:03:47Speaker 14: more dirty floors. Try the Swift for Power Mop. Love
- 1:03:51Speaker 14: it or your money back? All right, Steve, Come on,
- 1:03:53Speaker 14: let's recap today's strawberry letter. The subject is please close
- 1:03:58Speaker 14: the windows and doors.
- 1:04:01Speaker 5: This woman is having a problem. She's twenty four.
- 1:04:07Speaker 6: Her problem is with her parents, who are not parenting
- 1:04:12Speaker 6: because they so busy being her friends. They had this
- 1:04:16Speaker 6: little girl at eighteen. They are now forty two years old.
- 1:04:19Speaker 6: She's twenty four.
- 1:04:21Speaker 5: That's you young.
- 1:04:22Speaker 6: She likes hanging with her parents because they have a
- 1:04:25Speaker 6: good time because they listen to the same music.
- 1:04:27Speaker 5: That's the hip hop generation, got it?
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: I miss that. My kids miss that. They know good.
- 1:04:32Speaker 5: Hell, well, when I get in the car, you know
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: what we're listening.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: To, daddy?
- 1:04:39Speaker 5: Can we listen to something else?
- 1:04:40Speaker 16: Now?
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: Daddy?
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: You heard little babies new and no, I don't know
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: who little baby is.
- 1:04:52Speaker 5: Dead baby that dad, baby, black baby, white baby, new baby.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:05:03Speaker 6: But now she has a problem because she says, hanging
- 1:05:07Speaker 6: out with him is cool with my parents, and other
- 1:05:09Speaker 6: times it gets to be too much. I'm allowed to
- 1:05:12Speaker 6: smoke weed in the house because it's legal in our
- 1:05:14Speaker 6: state and it helps me with my cramp.
- 1:05:17Speaker 5: No, you allowed to smoke weed in.
- 1:05:19Speaker 6: The house because that's what they do. If it was illegal,
- 1:05:23Speaker 6: they let you smoke weed. I'm allowed to have my
- 1:05:27Speaker 6: boyfriend stay overnight. Couse, that's what they did. They had
- 1:05:31Speaker 6: you at eighteen. At eighteen, that means that the sex
- 1:05:35Speaker 6: was going on before they was eighteen, So that's what
- 1:05:39Speaker 6: they did. But he's got to go to sleep in
- 1:05:43Speaker 6: the guest room, like he ain't snuck over there in
- 1:05:46Speaker 6: the middle of the night, and hell, he gonna stay
- 1:05:49Speaker 6: in the guest room. I'm allowed to use profanity, and
- 1:05:54Speaker 6: I can express myself anywhere I choose around them, Couse,
- 1:05:57Speaker 6: that's what they do. They cussing around you. My kids
- 1:06:05Speaker 6: can cuss around me. Now that was an age when
- 1:06:09Speaker 6: they lived in my house. That ain't happening.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: But when you move out the house and you come
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: back over, you can cuss.
- 1:06:16Speaker 7: Now.
- 1:06:16Speaker 6: You need to understand something. Now, there's no way you
- 1:06:21Speaker 6: can outcuss me. They come over here, cussing if you
- 1:06:29Speaker 6: want to. I got some combinations you're not quite familiar with.
- 1:06:34Speaker 6: I puts it together. But what I don't appreciate is
- 1:06:39Speaker 6: how open they are with me. But what I don't
- 1:06:43Speaker 6: appreciate is how open they are with me. My parents'
- 1:06:47Speaker 6: bedroom is below my bedroom, and they have sex in
- 1:06:49Speaker 6: there every day. It don't have to be at night.
- 1:06:52Speaker 6: I can be getting ready to go to work at
- 1:06:54Speaker 6: three and a half noon and they are in there
- 1:06:55Speaker 6: going at it.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: You know why they they cut do it? They your friends?
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: They ain't your parent.
- 1:07:04Speaker 6: With the door open, They've jokingly told me to stay
- 1:07:07Speaker 6: upstairs if I don't want to see it or hear it.
- 1:07:11Speaker 6: But what they don't know is I can still hear it,
- 1:07:13Speaker 6: and so can the neighbors, probably because they have the
- 1:07:16Speaker 6: windows up too. I've been sitting in the hot tub
- 1:07:18Speaker 6: on the patio. I've heard my parents having sex loudly
- 1:07:22Speaker 6: on a Sunday afternoon. I would love to move, but
- 1:07:24Speaker 6: I can't afford to rent and my condo. It's their house.
- 1:07:27Speaker 6: But don't I deserve a little respect as long as
- 1:07:30Speaker 6: I live here? The jokes about it aren't working, So
- 1:07:33Speaker 6: would I be out of line to ask them to
- 1:07:35Speaker 6: close the door and windows doing sex. Shirley said you
- 1:07:38Speaker 6: can't cause it's your mama's them house, and technically she's right.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: But see, y'all friends though friends get to talk to
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: friends like they want to.
- 1:07:49Speaker 6: I think you should sit them down as friends and say, Mom, Dad,
- 1:07:54Speaker 6: the hell going on? I would use another word, but yeah,
- 1:07:58Speaker 6: you know, but they allow you to come this sugar
- 1:08:01Speaker 6: honey ice to y'all doing this, it's some. It's some
- 1:08:04Speaker 6: bull sugar honey ice tea because all these fudging neighbors
- 1:08:12Speaker 6: is listening to y'all upstairs fudge and they can hear it.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: Now fudge.
- 1:08:20Speaker 6: Y'all need to stop. This is embarrassing. This sugar honey
- 1:08:27Speaker 6: ice tea gonna have to stop because YouTube is it's
- 1:08:34Speaker 6: just too much since they let you talk any kind
- 1:08:39Speaker 6: of way. But now here's what you're gonna.
- 1:08:44Speaker 15: Have to do.
- 1:08:44Speaker 6: You got to move, Yeah, you got to move. And
- 1:08:50Speaker 6: I want to say this to you, young lady. You're
- 1:08:52Speaker 6: obviously in school and stuff. You're twenty four. Sometimes parents
- 1:08:58Speaker 6: teach us what not to do, just like they teach
- 1:09:00Speaker 6: us what to do. I have a lot of boys
- 1:09:02Speaker 6: that come to my minnory camp who are from fatherless
- 1:09:05Speaker 6: homes who have vowed when they have a child, they
- 1:09:08Speaker 6: not gonna do like their father did them. So when
- 1:09:11Speaker 6: you do have a child and you're obviously waiting, remember
- 1:09:15Speaker 6: these moments and remember the feelings you have. It's cool
- 1:09:18Speaker 6: to be cool with your parents, but even you at
- 1:09:21Speaker 6: twenty four still want to have some guidelines. You want
- 1:09:24Speaker 6: some parents, and this letter is for parents. Just listen
- 1:09:28Speaker 6: to this. Stop trying to be your kids. They need
- 1:09:32Speaker 6: guidance and love and discipline. They would appreciate that more
- 1:09:35Speaker 6: than you sitting up smoking. We custled with them having
- 1:09:37Speaker 6: sex with the dobeen.
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:09:42Speaker 11: True, all right, Steve, thank you post your comments on
- 1:09:45Speaker 11: Today's Strawberry Let.

- 1:10:12Speaker 6: and you're listen to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:10:16Speaker 8: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:10:22Speaker 14: Do you ever notice your floors still look dirty even
- 1:10:25Speaker 14: after you mop? Power Mop gives you a deeper clean
- 1:10:28Speaker 14: you can see and feel. Unlike stream mops, Swift for
- 1:10:32Speaker 14: power Mop absorbs more dirt and locks.
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: It away even and hard to reach places.
- 1:10:37Speaker 8: Like behind the toilet.
- 1:10:39Speaker 14: The new micro scrubbers deliver thousands of tiny, deep cleaning
- 1:10:43Speaker 14: actions for results that look, smell, and feel clean. No

- 1:10:51Speaker 14: it or your money back?
- 1:10:53Speaker 8: All right, it is Tommy time. Tommy, you have a
- 1:10:57Speaker 8: question for your uncle.
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: Well, no, not a question. I got a little some
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: some point though. We let me let everybody know. You know,
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: we have a fearless leader. He's traveled the globe, he's
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: been all over the place. He's an amazing got an
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: amazing career, and uh, I just want to show you
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: a little something. So I just this will help you
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: know that you can make it too, Okay, Uncle Steve,
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: if you would, I'm just gonna show you, boys and girls,
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: if you're listening while you're mama taking your school, Uncle Steve,
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: can you spell the word handkerchief A.
- 1:11:31Speaker 15: En K E R.
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: C h I E L that was surprise. Let's go
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: a little deeper.
- 1:11:51Speaker 5: In the Bible.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: Sound it out.
- 1:11:54Speaker 5: P h okay, God got that out?
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: A R O A h I all right, come old
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: park that you had? You know, that's wrong? What No,
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: that was? That's wrong? That was wrong. That's not it wasn't.
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: No wrong spelling again, but lose the attitude spelling you
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: were trying to make. No pray row spelling like h
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: A r uh huh oh ah No.
- 1:12:30Speaker 6: No it's a oh h oh no that's fray rauh.
- 1:12:37Speaker 6: I'm saying pray row. That's fray rauh. That's that dude
- 1:12:42Speaker 6: used to live on one hundred and thirteenth Street. Next question, next.
- 1:12:46Speaker 8: Next question, handkerchiefs or exfoliate?
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: Exfolia? Use it in the citence? What you are? I
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: T why xfoliate? Gritty substance.
- 1:13:10Speaker 6: See when you get in the word like that, don't
- 1:13:12Speaker 6: use them, kids, find you a word that you can use.
- 1:13:17Speaker 5: Put a gritty substance on your faith. Don't say exfoliate.
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: Okay, let's go to another conscience conscious r A L
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: T h O U g h T s real thoughts.
- 1:13:41Speaker 5: Substitute that again. When you can't spell a word.
- 1:13:44Speaker 8: Kiss, all right, reading It's fundamental.
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: Hey, this is John Legend.
- 1:13:53Speaker 8: Hi, this is Felicious Shot.
- 1:13:55Speaker 11: Hey, this is Motown recording artist camp Here.
- 1:13:58Speaker 8: What's up? This is Chris Hey, guys myself.
- 1:14:00Speaker 14: Good morning.
- 1:14:01Speaker 8: This is Tony Braxton.
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: You are no what time?
- 1:14:03Speaker 8: And he's boy DC young flag. You listening to the
- 1:14:05Speaker 8: Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:07Speaker 11: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. This is
- 1:14:14Speaker 11: from Wayman in Tallahassee. Wyman says, I'm a twin and
- 1:14:17Speaker 11: I overheard my fiance tell her girlfriend that she wonders
- 1:14:20Speaker 11: if her twin is blessed like I am, meaning she
- 1:14:24Speaker 11: was wondering about his manhood. First Off, she's been trying
- 1:14:27Speaker 11: to hook her ugly girlfriend up with my brother and
- 1:14:29Speaker 11: he's not interested in her at all. Secondly, I think
- 1:14:33Speaker 11: she's out of line to be casually talking about my
- 1:14:36Speaker 11: size with her friend. My wife said, I'm being too
- 1:14:39Speaker 11: sensitive and she knows my brother will never talk to
- 1:14:42Speaker 11: her friend. It makes my twin brother steer clear of
- 1:14:45Speaker 11: social gatherings with my wife. How do I get this
- 1:14:48Speaker 11: to stop?
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: Well?
- 1:14:51Speaker 5: Why why am I steering clear social chadety, I'm tight.
- 1:14:56Speaker 5: I'm in here with tight past.
- 1:14:58Speaker 8: That's his business.
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: He might.
- 1:15:00Speaker 8: I want that out, just.
- 1:15:01Speaker 6: Walking around with a cocktail in my head talking about
- 1:15:04Speaker 6: how you doing well.
- 1:15:05Speaker 8: He's different than you obviously.
- 1:15:07Speaker 6: Well you know, I'm going to tell you some young boy.
- 1:15:11Speaker 6: Work with this blessing, take advantage of it. Participate because
- 1:15:15Speaker 6: in a minute it ain't gonna matter.
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: It used to.
- 1:15:19Speaker 5: Yeah, put in work though, Oh while you got time.
- 1:15:23Speaker 5: He'll put in work.
- 1:15:24Speaker 8: He just wants it to stop. So okay, it will.
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: It will will.
- 1:15:32Speaker 5: My mother long enough, Oh he will, dog, don't worry
- 1:15:37Speaker 5: about that.
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: It's a minute. Girl's just go get you a good
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: run in dog.
- 1:15:52Speaker 8: The moment.
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: All right, here we go.
- 1:15:56Speaker 8: We do have time for another one.
- 1:15:57Speaker 11: This is from Quinn and alib Bastard Quinn rights excuse me.
- 1:16:03Speaker 11: Quinn writes, I got a call at eleven PM from
- 1:16:05Speaker 11: a male friend that was drunk. He was out with
- 1:16:08Speaker 11: a group of friends that we went to college with.
- 1:16:11Speaker 11: They were trying to figure out a funny story that
- 1:16:13Speaker 11: happened back in the day. I don't think it was
- 1:16:15Speaker 11: a problem to take the call. I didn't think it
- 1:16:18Speaker 11: was a problem to take the call, and it was
- 1:16:19Speaker 11: on speakerphone, so my husband knew it was a group
- 1:16:22Speaker 11: of people. The call was super short, and I helped
- 1:16:25Speaker 11: them figure out the story. My husband got up and
- 1:16:28Speaker 11: went to bed. He wants me to block my male
- 1:16:30Speaker 11: friend's number. How can he be insecure over something that harmless?
- 1:16:36Speaker 11: She got a call late at night from her friend
- 1:16:39Speaker 11: that was drunk.
- 1:16:39Speaker 8: He happened to be a male.
- 1:16:41Speaker 6: Cool you and your host watching TV? His phone rings.
- 1:16:46Speaker 6: He gets a call late at night from a female.
- 1:16:52Speaker 6: If you solve the problem for the female, now he
- 1:16:56Speaker 6: solves the problem for the female.
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: He hang a phone?
- 1:17:01Speaker 5: Do he do he get to turn around and just
- 1:17:03Speaker 5: finish watching the movie?
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: Or when?
- 1:17:07Speaker 5: And how much?
- 1:17:08Speaker 14: Do?
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: When?
- 1:17:09Speaker 5: Do the hall breakout?
- 1:17:12Speaker 8: But it was eleven o'clock even one?
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: Yeah, but what's she calling you for? Yeah?
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:17:20Speaker 8: Double standard though, remember that double standard?
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: Mister? What's she calling you for? Oh? He would go,
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: oh yeah, I would have served all.
- 1:17:33Speaker 6: So yeah, he has every right to be upset, and
- 1:17:37Speaker 6: he's not being petty. But how but how you how
- 1:17:41Speaker 6: you all of a sudden you do you do you
- 1:17:43Speaker 6: the memory bank?
- 1:17:45Speaker 8: Because they went to college together?
- 1:17:48Speaker 9: Well, okay, we are of college. Well is it the
- 1:17:56Speaker 9: fact that she didn't say more? You know, I'll call
- 1:17:59Speaker 9: y'all back or whatever?
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: You know? Exact the timing the call.
- 1:18:07Speaker 8: Yeah, he doesn't want him calling her at all at all?
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: Yeah. Is that that either?
- 1:18:14Speaker 8: Because you say no male friends, you always say.
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: That get the call. Yeah, I did these male friends.
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: It ain't gonna waite.
- 1:18:21Speaker 3: Call it all.
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: You know what?
- 1:18:24Speaker 8: He was drunk number one.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: He was drunk and he called her.
- 1:18:28Speaker 3: Uh huh.
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: That's a connection. I'm just telling you this connection. What
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: do you mean, comfortable calling? Comfortable call? Yeah, I will

- 1:25:07Speaker 14: The new micro scrubbers deliver thousands of tiny, deep cleaning
- 1:25:11Speaker 14: actions for results that look, smell, and feel clean. No

- 1:25:20Speaker 8: All right, guys, here we are, last break of the day, Steve.
- 1:25:23Speaker 8: What you got for us? Close it out?
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: You know?
- 1:25:27Speaker 5: My closing remark today is just have a positive outlook.
- 1:25:34Speaker 6: Put put positivity in your head and make sure it
- 1:25:41Speaker 6: comes out your mouth.
- 1:25:44Speaker 5: Work hard on that, y'all.
- 1:25:47Speaker 6: It will change your trajectory immensely. It is amazing what
- 1:25:54Speaker 6: you will see the difference in your life. If you
- 1:25:56Speaker 6: start practicing thinking and speaking positivity, positivity, it will help
- 1:26:04Speaker 6: you immensely look project great things.
- 1:26:09Speaker 5: You know, February is coming to a close. It's about
- 1:26:15Speaker 5: to be March.
- 1:26:20Speaker 6: Matter of fact, what am I talking about February? Gold,
- 1:26:22Speaker 6: It is March. We in March already. Look man, it's
- 1:26:28Speaker 6: about to be spawning season for them bass out there. Man,
- 1:26:34Speaker 6: it's about to be such a good fishing for about
- 1:26:37Speaker 6: three four weeks. It's gonna be crazy and it's gonna
- 1:26:41Speaker 6: be good. Then the weather's gonna break, The time's gonna change.
- 1:26:45Speaker 6: It's a lot of good stuff gonna happen. Why don't
- 1:26:49Speaker 6: you just be positive?
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: Man?
- 1:26:52Speaker 5: But it's gonna start raining.
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: You need to rain so we can get the flowers
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: in the trees and the leaves. You don't get it
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: without the rain.
- 1:27:03Speaker 14: Man.
- 1:27:03Speaker 6: When it rains, good, all my lakes fill up. Come on, now,
- 1:27:10Speaker 6: I need this rain you're talking about. Man, it's gonna
- 1:27:17Speaker 6: mess around. God willing be summer, nice weather. Get to
- 1:27:23Speaker 6: go outside without a coat, man, You get to sit outside, man,
- 1:27:28Speaker 6: with some sun on.
- 1:27:29Speaker 5: You go out and enjoy the outdoors, go walk in
- 1:27:35Speaker 5: some grass.
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: Man.
- 1:27:38Speaker 6: Start thinking of positive things. Man, stop having that old
- 1:27:43Speaker 6: woe with me. Please stop saying you're not a morning person.
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: Get off that.
- 1:27:49Speaker 6: Just be positive, man. Think of some some some some
- 1:27:54Speaker 6: some good people you're gonna be around soon. And if
- 1:27:58Speaker 6: you're not around good people, stop hanging with them. Birds
- 1:28:04Speaker 6: of a feather flock together. If you hang around a
- 1:28:06Speaker 6: lot of negative people, it's gonna be hard for you
- 1:28:08Speaker 6: to think positive. I'm telling you that right now. So
- 1:28:12Speaker 6: if you know it, somebody'd always call you with bad news.
- 1:28:15Speaker 6: Somebody always call you and want something. Man, you don't
- 1:28:18Speaker 6: have to answer the phone. You don't have to return
- 1:28:20Speaker 6: to text. I'm in the middle of that right now.
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: Bro.
- 1:28:24Speaker 5: I'm just not gonna deal with you.
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: Cause you interrupt my peace all the time. Matter of fact,
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: let me give you a suggestion. Get rid of the
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: peace disruptors in your life.
- 1:28:43Speaker 5: Do you know how much better quality life you would
- 1:28:47Speaker 5: have if you would stop entertaining the peace disruptors in
- 1:28:51Speaker 5: your life, if you just didn't involve yourself with the
- 1:28:57Speaker 5: people who constantly disrupt your peace.
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: That's crazy, do it.
- 1:29:07Speaker 6: There's a text on my phone right now, somebody asking
- 1:29:11Speaker 6: me and my good. You know why asking me good?
- 1:29:13Speaker 6: Because I want to strike up a conversation. Nobody want
- 1:29:16Speaker 6: to strike up a conversation because they want to disrupt
- 1:29:18Speaker 6: my piece with something wrong in they life.
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: Because it always is, I'm not doing it.
- 1:29:26Speaker 5: I'm not doing it.
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: I don't have to.
- 1:29:28Speaker 5: You're not one of my children.
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: Now.
- 1:29:30Speaker 6: If one of my children call me with a problem
- 1:29:32Speaker 6: to disrupt my piece, my peace gonna get disrupted because
- 1:29:39Speaker 6: I have an obligation as a parent to them to
- 1:29:41Speaker 6: continue to give them guidance and advice. But if you
- 1:29:46Speaker 6: ain't my child, and you ain't my close friend, and
- 1:29:49Speaker 6: you don't ever call me to check on me and
- 1:29:50Speaker 6: see how I'm doing, you don't ever wish me well.
- 1:29:53Speaker 6: You don't ever tell me you're praying for me. You
- 1:29:55Speaker 6: don't send me nothing encouraging offline that you saw a
- 1:29:58Speaker 6: poem or description, a note from some speaker or something.
- 1:30:05Speaker 6: Then hey man, miss me, don't ask me how I'm doing,
- 1:30:11Speaker 6: just so you can tell me how you doing.
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: I can't. I can't stay in that. Don't ask me
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: how I'm doing just so you can tell me how
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: you do it. We all know that trick. We ain't
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: doing it no more.
- 1:30:28Speaker 6: I'm through. That's all I got to say. I just
- 1:30:30Speaker 6: wanted to say that. Man, how y'all feel about it?
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: I love it?
- 1:30:35Speaker 4: I love it?
- 1:30:36Speaker 8: Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I love what you're saying.
- 1:30:42Speaker 5: Question, do you all have a person in your life
- 1:30:45Speaker 5: that destroys your peace?
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: Oh? Yeah?
- 1:30:51Speaker 8: Tries to.
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: Let me say this? Can I say this? If you
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: haven't heard from me in the last week two, I
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: gave you up for LENTT. I just need you all
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: to know that if you ain't heard of me, I
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: gave you up for LENTT and you just I just
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: need to do out my life. I just need to talk,
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: you know. I need a break boundaries, That's what I like.
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: PROTECT gave them.
- 1:31:22Speaker 6: If you've texted me three or four times m hm
- 1:31:28Speaker 6: and I have not responded, I don't.
- 1:31:32Speaker 5: I don't care for you that you gave them up
