- 1:24Speaker 2: You gotta turn.
- 1:31Speaker 3: I got to turn the mouth turn.
- 1:43Speaker 2: You probably got to turn the mouth turn out, turn
- 1:46Speaker 2: the money.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Looking.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on, you'll think that, huh, I sure will.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Good morning everybody. You are listening to the voice, Come
- 2:06Speaker 1: on dig me now. One and only.
- 2:08Speaker 7: Steve Harvey got a radio ship, yeah, man, Steve Harvey
- 2:13Speaker 7: got a radio shop. Trying to do something with it too.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Man.
- 2:17Speaker 7: You know, I was having a conversation the other day
- 2:22Speaker 7: with a young person and they were telling me how
- 2:25Speaker 7: they felt that their life was stuck, that their life
- 2:28Speaker 7: was in a rut, that they didn't know what to
- 2:33Speaker 7: do next. And one of the things that was causing
- 2:37Speaker 7: them this sadness or this depression. I mean, they're really
- 2:41Speaker 7: really into something right now. One of the things that
- 2:44Speaker 7: was causing it was the fact that they had made
- 2:48Speaker 7: a list of things they wanted to accomplish by a
- 2:52Speaker 7: certain age, and.
- 2:56Speaker 1: That age they just had a birthday recently, and.
- 3:02Speaker 7: They were looking at the list, and the list hadn't
- 3:06Speaker 7: been fulfilled, and because that list hadn't been fulfilled, they
- 3:13Speaker 7: were really really sad about it.
- 3:16Speaker 6: You know.
- 3:18Speaker 7: One of the things that they had on the list
- 3:21Speaker 7: was marriage, kids, and I don't know everything else that
- 3:26Speaker 7: was on the list, but that was one of them.
- 3:29Speaker 7: And because she had reached a certain age and she
- 3:32Speaker 7: wasn't married, and she didn't have the kids, and she
- 3:34Speaker 7: had just celebrated a birthday, she's gone into this mode
- 3:40Speaker 7: of sadness where it's really really taken a toll on her.
- 3:45Speaker 7: And as I was learning about her situation, I was
- 3:51Speaker 7: thinking about it, and I just wanted to share this
- 3:55Speaker 7: with you all this morning that one of the things
- 3:58Speaker 7: about making a list about what you want, which I
- 4:01Speaker 7: happen to be a proponent of, I do it myself.
- 4:05Speaker 7: People have dream boards. I have a goal sheet. I've
- 4:09Speaker 7: been doing it for years. It's a wonderful way to
- 4:13Speaker 7: set goals and to keep it in front of you
- 4:15Speaker 7: as a constant reminder. And I always go over this
- 4:18Speaker 7: goal list every day, you know, I mean I go
- 4:21Speaker 7: with it all the time every day. Sometimes I miss
- 4:24Speaker 7: a day here and there, but mostly every day I
- 4:26Speaker 7: pull my goal sheet out and I look at it,
- 4:29Speaker 7: I read it. So I was going to these rallies
- 4:31Speaker 7: and I was learning about you know, people who are
- 4:34Speaker 7: successful in how they kept their mind writing possible. And
- 4:37Speaker 7: one of the things I learned was to make these
- 4:39Speaker 7: dream boards, these lists, these gold sheets, and in making
- 4:44Speaker 7: a goal sheet, and you make the sheet according to
- 4:48Speaker 7: what you want, think about one thing when you made
- 4:52Speaker 7: your goal sheet, about what you wanted? Does your goal
- 4:56Speaker 7: sheet have on it what God wants from you? Did
- 5:00Speaker 7: you ask in any of this what was His will
- 5:03Speaker 7: in your life?
- 5:05Speaker 6: You know?
- 5:05Speaker 1: Look, man, what we want oftentimes is not what He
- 5:10Speaker 1: wants for us.
- 5:11Speaker 7: And you know, if you're fighting against what you were
- 5:14Speaker 7: created for, if you're fighting against his will, I.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Mean, what do you want to happen? See?
- 5:22Speaker 7: Don't be so hard on yourself when you look at
- 5:24Speaker 7: your goal sheet and you look at what you've not
- 5:27Speaker 7: become what you thought was a great idea. Don't be
- 5:30Speaker 7: so hard on yourself because you just made a mindor mistake.
- 5:33Speaker 7: As do most people, we oftentimes make our goals and
- 5:36Speaker 7: set our goals up without ever considering what is it
- 5:39Speaker 7: that God wants from us. We keep talking about what
- 5:43Speaker 7: we want without ever finding out or knowing what it
- 5:45Speaker 7: is God wants for us. Well, guess what, man, maybe
- 5:49Speaker 7: you're fighting against the grain. Maybe you just a salmon
- 5:52Speaker 7: heading upstream. That's a tough fight upstream. Not all salmon's
- 5:55Speaker 7: get up to the spawning grounds, you know. Some of
- 5:58Speaker 7: them don't make it upstream, you know. But all of them,
- 6:01Speaker 7: nearly all of them, except the ones that's killed by prey.
- 6:04Speaker 7: When they're spawn they go out to the ocean. That's
- 6:06Speaker 7: cool because you're going because you're going with the grain.
- 6:09Speaker 7: You're going downstream, you're going with the flow. That's but
- 6:13Speaker 7: when it's time to go against the grain, it's tough.
- 6:16Speaker 7: And a lot of us have just been going against
- 6:18Speaker 7: the grain for all of these years. But you know what, listen, man,
- 6:22Speaker 7: I did it. I know a lot of people who
- 6:24Speaker 7: did it. Very few people get it right from the
- 6:28Speaker 7: very beginning. Man, you got to stumble through life sometimes
- 6:32Speaker 7: sometimes you got to fall through life. You got to
- 6:34Speaker 7: make a lot of mistakes, man, But these mistakes are
- 6:37Speaker 7: not failures. You know, when you fail, it's something. Don't
- 6:40Speaker 7: look at it as a failure. Don't look at yourself
- 6:42Speaker 7: as a failure because you're thirty and your goals ain't
- 6:45Speaker 7: reached that you had on your list. That was your list.
- 6:48Speaker 7: What about the things that's going right? Stop looking at
- 6:52Speaker 7: what you're not, take some time out and thank God
- 6:55Speaker 7: for what you are. How about the fact that you
- 6:57Speaker 7: keep waking up to be thirty? You know you get
- 6:59Speaker 7: the prayer about these birthdays? You really want to throw
- 7:01Speaker 7: yourself in some depression. Miss a birthday, You really got
- 7:05Speaker 7: a problem. Now look at where you are. You keep
- 7:08Speaker 7: reaching birthdays. That's a glorious blessing. You keep waking up.
- 7:13Speaker 7: You got your health, You've accomplished something. Something on your
- 7:16Speaker 7: list is done. People spend too much time on the
- 7:20Speaker 7: negative side, and you're just throwing yourself into depression. So
- 7:23Speaker 7: what you want to be married by a certain age
- 7:25Speaker 7: and you wanted.
- 7:25Speaker 1: To have kids?
- 7:26Speaker 7: Okay, cool, you could have done all that with the
- 7:28Speaker 7: wrong person. There's a blessing in not being married to
- 7:32Speaker 7: the wrong person. There's a blessing in not having kids
- 7:35Speaker 7: and nobody to help you raising. There's a blessing in
- 7:38Speaker 7: that man. You're talking to somebody who can tell it
- 7:40Speaker 7: to you. You can marry the wrong person if you
- 7:42Speaker 7: want to. I'm telling you you're gonna be up in
- 7:45Speaker 7: some mess. You can't count on. So instead of being
- 7:48Speaker 7: angry because you're not married, you don't have kids, why
- 7:51Speaker 7: don't you thank God the man? Maybe he spared you
- 7:53Speaker 7: from some misery here. Maybe you could have married the
- 7:55Speaker 7: wrong person. Maybe you have kids and you're not really
- 7:58Speaker 7: ready to be a mother or a father. You got
- 8:00Speaker 7: to look at the upside man, Quit looking at what
- 8:03Speaker 7: you don't have. Take some time to thank God for
- 8:05Speaker 7: what you do have. When you do that, you make
- 8:08Speaker 7: more room for blessings to flow into your life. I'm
- 8:11Speaker 7: not saying how God thinks, because I really don't know,
- 8:14Speaker 7: but I'm telling you if a person comes to me
- 8:18Speaker 7: and I always give a person something and they never
- 8:21Speaker 7: appear grateful, or they never say thank you, please know
- 8:24Speaker 7: you can quit coming to me now. I don't notice
- 8:28Speaker 7: how God works because I've gone back to him several
- 8:31Speaker 7: times without being grateful of thanking him, and he's filled
- 8:35Speaker 7: my basket up again. So I really think he's not
- 8:38Speaker 7: like that. But I can't make the call for sure.
- 8:41Speaker 7: But I think at one point in time me it's
- 8:45Speaker 7: just me talking. I'd be a little ticked off at
- 8:47Speaker 7: somebody who was always taking, taking, taking, and never showing
- 8:51Speaker 7: any gratitude at one point in time, I would just
- 8:54Speaker 7: stop the flow of the take you know, you just
- 8:57Speaker 7: you can't take no more from me.
- 8:59Speaker 1: That's what I would do. Now.
- 9:01Speaker 7: I'm not calling it like that because I ain't him,
- 9:04Speaker 7: but I know he's merciful, He's full of goodness and
- 9:06Speaker 7: he and he'll forgive you. And thank God he does
- 9:09Speaker 7: that because he's show enough done it for me. But wow, man,
- 9:13Speaker 7: take some time out today and be grateful for what
- 9:15Speaker 7: you have. Stop complaining about where you not, and think
- 9:18Speaker 7: about where you are, and then take it from there.
- 9:21Speaker 7: And the next time you make a list, make sure
- 9:23Speaker 7: on that list you have God's will. What does he
- 9:26Speaker 7: want for you? Does God create give everybody a gift
- 9:29Speaker 7: and a talent. Some of us never apply gifts and talents.
- 9:33Speaker 7: We head off in another direction. Then you wonder why
- 9:35Speaker 7: your life ain't where it's supposed to be. Have you
- 9:38Speaker 7: ever thought about what God gifted you to do? Have
- 9:40Speaker 7: you ever thought about doing that? And still skip what
- 9:42Speaker 7: you want? I wanted to play in the NBA, but
- 9:44Speaker 7: I got to tell you something. At dribbling and shooting
- 9:47Speaker 7: and running all at one time throwing me off a
- 9:51Speaker 7: little bit. You know, they just so I'm doing what
- 9:54Speaker 7: I do. It's pretty cool. You gonna look at it
- 9:56Speaker 7: that way.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Okay, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 8: It is Thursday, y'all, June nineteenth. It is Thursday, June nineteenth.
- 10:08Speaker 8: We celebrate, we celebrate today, we celebrate the day. Oh
- 10:13Speaker 8: that was the day, well this particular day, especially a
- 10:16Speaker 8: brother from straight up out to Texas, which is where
- 10:18Speaker 8: we learn the day that we were set free.
- 10:22Speaker 1: This is that day. This is June nineteenth.
- 10:24Speaker 8: So I want to welcome everybody to the Steve Harbury
- 10:26Speaker 8: Morning Show. This is your Boy and a few time
- 10:27Speaker 8: and holding it down along with Shirley Strawberry call a
- 10:30Speaker 8: fair on Mississippi, Monica and Kia Junior Boys Fates. I
- 10:34Speaker 8: want to say, happy June tenth everybody.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Who We're free. Yes, yes, absolutely, yeah, we got the memo.
- 10:45Speaker 1: We offer it.
- 10:48Speaker 9: Two years later, but we got it.
- 10:50Speaker 8: Yeah, you got it right, Kieran and Carlin. Do you
- 10:55Speaker 8: all remember celebrating this as we was kids growing up?
- 10:58Speaker 1: Absolutely?
- 10:59Speaker 8: Yes, absolutely, And do you know I thought while we
- 11:02Speaker 8: were celebrating it, I thought everybody around the country was celebrating.
- 11:05Speaker 8: I had no earthly idea that only us in Texas
- 11:08Speaker 8: were celebrating this particular holiday.
- 11:11Speaker 1: I thought that for a long time, especially when I
- 11:13Speaker 1: found out about it.
- 11:14Speaker 4: Yeah, certain cities in the South knew about it, but
- 11:18Speaker 4: me as a little girl when we moved from Chicago.
- 11:20Speaker 4: I moved from Chicago to Houston as a teenager, So
- 11:23Speaker 4: living in Chicago I didn't know of But when we
- 11:27Speaker 4: moved here, as you know, I was a tween, I
- 11:30Speaker 4: was like twelve. Yeah, that's when I started, uh you know,
- 11:35Speaker 4: That's when I learned about it.
- 11:36Speaker 1: And that was about it.
- 11:37Speaker 4: They taught us about black history when I moved down
- 11:40Speaker 4: in school, it wasn't an overload of information.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Well, this wasn't really taught in school. It was tough.
- 11:48Speaker 4: That's why I learned about it though in school, like
- 11:50Speaker 4: a little portion of take Yeah, and then they moved on.
- 11:55Speaker 1: I learned about it.
- 11:56Speaker 10: Yeah, when I moved to Texas, I was though I
- 12:01Speaker 10: lived in Dallas for a while.
- 12:03Speaker 1: I was grown and I found out about It's like
- 12:04Speaker 1: what June teen? What is jutent teenth?
- 12:07Speaker 10: I had to ask and they had to tell me.
- 12:08Speaker 10: I was like what, Yeah, because growing up in Chicago,
- 12:11Speaker 10: we didn't know, we never we never heard of it.
- 12:13Speaker 10: We didn't celebrate it even in black history class. Like
- 12:16Speaker 10: you guys said, it was.
- 12:17Speaker 6: Not in it.
- 12:18Speaker 8: My black history came from my mama. That's where my
- 12:20Speaker 8: black history came. Yeah, yeah, my daddy.
- 12:24Speaker 1: And here we are twenty twenty five.
- 12:26Speaker 4: It still has to come from your mam and your
- 12:29Speaker 4: daddy because the political leaders want to take it after school,
- 12:32Speaker 4: completely erase history like it didn't hat.
- 12:36Speaker 10: All together because they're uncomfortable. It makes them uncomfortable.
- 12:40Speaker 8: Because it's the truth. You're uncomfortable with the truth. You're
- 12:43Speaker 8: uncomfortable with your kids learning the truth. That's the problem.
- 12:45Speaker 10: Yeah, but just thanks to Presidential o'biden for making June
- 12:49Speaker 10: teenth the national holiday, yes.
- 12:52Speaker 1: In twenty twenty one. Absolutely right. Just because you're uncomfortable
- 12:56Speaker 1: with the truth doesn't mean it didn't happen. It didn't exist.
- 12:59Speaker 1: So do better now that you know, do better. That's
- 13:02Speaker 1: what it's for. That's all it is.
- 13:04Speaker 10: Is not trying to We're not trying to make you slaves.
- 13:07Speaker 10: We're not trying to do that. This is just part
- 13:09Speaker 10: of our history. You should know your history period. We're
- 13:13Speaker 10: the only ones that don't know like that, like every
- 13:16Speaker 10: other race.
- 13:17Speaker 8: You know, the problem is is you look like the
- 13:19Speaker 8: bad guy throughout your history, and that's what you upset.
- 13:22Speaker 8: That's what you're trying to cover up, that you don't
- 13:24Speaker 8: want the world to look at what it is, what
- 13:25Speaker 8: it is.
- 13:27Speaker 1: When it is. Yeah, we're not going to talk about
- 13:29Speaker 1: your comfort level again.
- 13:33Speaker 10: All right, we celebrate That's all right, guys, we celebrate
- 13:37Speaker 10: suphy June teenth. Coming up at thirty two minutes after
- 13:41Speaker 10: the hour, we will run that prank back with the
- 13:43Speaker 10: nephew right after this. You're listening Steve Hardy Warning Show.
- 13:52Speaker 10: You've heard us talk about the benefits of Globe Life insurance.
- 13:55Speaker 10: Globe Life has been protecting families for generations. Globe Life
- 13:59Speaker 10: is easy to buy, with rates starting as low as
- 14:02Speaker 10: three dollars and forty nine cents a month. There is
- 14:05Speaker 10: no medical exam, just a simple application called Globelife today
- 14:09Speaker 10: at one eight hundred two five one fifty four hundred,
- 14:12Speaker 10: or visit Globelife radio dot com again. That's one eight
- 14:16Speaker 10: hundred two five one fifty four hundred or Globelife radio
- 14:19Speaker 10: dot com. It is time now to run that prank
- 14:22Speaker 10: back with a nephew. What you got for is f
- 14:24Speaker 10: on this Juneteenth day.
- 14:26Speaker 8: On this Juneteenth day. We're gonna repote im pew. That's
- 14:29Speaker 8: what we're gonna do. We're gonna repole and them pews.
- 14:32Speaker 8: All right, cat dog, if you would, pastor, here we
- 14:36Speaker 8: go repote impew.
- 14:38Speaker 6: Well, well, I'm trying to reach a pastor. Pastor Wilkins.
- 14:42Speaker 11: Yeah, this ISVN doctor Wilkins.
- 14:44Speaker 6: You're the you're the pastor of Baptis Church, Am I right?
- 14:48Speaker 6: Mathe shark? That's correct? How can I have OKAYSSA? My
- 14:52Speaker 6: name is Daniel, and I'm calling from a RCS, which
- 14:56Speaker 6: is our church supply, and we have an outstanding bill
- 14:59Speaker 6: here that we wanted to bring to you all's attention
- 15:02Speaker 6: for like twenty three thousand dollars for your pews that
- 15:06Speaker 6: has not been paid. So we wanted to see not
- 15:10Speaker 6: to cut you off. Yeah, yeah, Daniel, RCS, Yeah, church
- 15:16Speaker 6: supply sir. That's this is exactly what you guys got
- 15:19Speaker 6: your cus.
- 15:20Speaker 11: Okay, our standing bill for twenty three times. Well, first
- 15:24Speaker 11: of all, that's normally all our standing bills are handled
- 15:28Speaker 11: by our finance department. You know, you wouldn't to speak
- 15:31Speaker 11: to our treasurer and they would be able to help
- 15:32Speaker 11: you with that.
- 15:33Speaker 6: Evidently heard that this hasn't been taken care of in
- 15:36Speaker 6: this matter when it comes to these pills, because like
- 15:38Speaker 6: I stayed it before, you guys owed twenty three thousand
- 15:41Speaker 6: dollars on these pews, and I think this was probably
- 15:44Speaker 6: twelve to thirteen years ago, so maybe this was something
- 15:47Speaker 6: before you got there. But nevertheless, it's still an our
- 15:50Speaker 6: standing bill and right now we're actually going to be
- 15:53Speaker 6: repossessing these pills as of early seven o'clock Sunday morning, not.
- 15:58Speaker 11: Far want to know, we have the Women's Missionary is
- 16:03Speaker 11: here today and also Funday we have like our pick.
- 16:08Speaker 6: And then you have a lot of things and you
- 16:10Speaker 6: actually run it off your schedule. To me, that's that's
- 16:12Speaker 6: really not my concern. And maybe you're Women's Day or
- 16:15Speaker 6: whatever is gonna y'all gonna do a standing up because
- 16:18Speaker 6: right now we're not.
- 16:19Speaker 11: Going to do it. You know, not understanding me. See
- 16:22Speaker 11: did you say twelve or thirteen years ago? Sure, well
- 16:24Speaker 11: I've been the past here for ten years and you know,
- 16:27Speaker 11: you know, like that.
- 16:30Speaker 6: Occurred before you got there. But nevertheless, the bill is
- 16:34Speaker 6: still outstanding and these cues need to be taken care
- 16:37Speaker 6: of now. If y'all don't have the twenty three thousand dollars.
- 16:40Speaker 6: Then I got to come pick these cues up Sunday morning. Sir,
- 16:42Speaker 6: we got well, I don't go over there.
- 16:45Speaker 11: You're not hearing me. And first of all, this is
- 16:46Speaker 11: my private number. How did you get this number?
- 16:49Speaker 6: Your numbers here in the books as a contact?
- 16:51Speaker 11: No, this is this is all. I only get us
- 16:53Speaker 11: out to very few people, and I know none of
- 16:55Speaker 11: them will will give out the numbers. So that's that's
- 16:58Speaker 11: an issue right there. And second of our so if
- 17:00Speaker 11: you're talking about coming in our church Sunday morning to
- 17:03Speaker 11: take our pews, that's not something you really want to do, sir.
- 17:07Speaker 6: I have to do my job the same way you
- 17:09Speaker 6: get up on Sunday morning and you have to do yours.
- 17:11Speaker 6: I have to do mine. So my job is to
- 17:14Speaker 6: get these fews back, because you guys are twenty three
- 17:16Speaker 6: thousand dollars in the riars.
- 17:17Speaker 11: No try, let me tell you. I ain't always been
- 17:20Speaker 11: being a preacher. Now you come in my church and
- 17:23Speaker 11: you test them pews, I'm gonna come out that proofit,
- 17:25Speaker 11: don't you.
- 17:26Speaker 6: I'm not here to go to what you used to
- 17:30Speaker 6: be and what you are now. I'm nothing to go
- 17:32Speaker 6: back and forth with you on that.
- 17:33Speaker 11: The bottom line, the consequences you don't want to deal with,
- 17:36Speaker 11: Sign because you know, I, oh, hold on, hold on,
- 17:40Speaker 11: hold on, let me calm down, because you know you
- 17:42Speaker 11: have to make me say some words that I've been
- 17:44Speaker 11: delivered from.
- 17:44Speaker 6: Thank God, I'm going to deliver them pews away from
- 17:49Speaker 6: you on Sunday. Now. I got to come and pick
- 17:51Speaker 6: them pews up. That's the bottom line. Do you have

- 22:46Speaker 10: and Hampton. Christina says I was dating two men until
- 22:50Speaker 10: one of them stepped up and won me over. We've
- 22:53Speaker 10: been dating for three months, but the other man is
- 22:55Speaker 10: waiting on the sidelines just in case. He said, he
- 22:59Speaker 10: really loves me, and is it cool to keep this
- 23:02Speaker 10: man on the side as a friend.
- 23:05Speaker 8: No, this is the perfect time induct him as your
- 23:09Speaker 8: side piece. This is the perfect habit that.
- 23:11Speaker 6: This is what.
- 23:13Speaker 1: We want induction.
- 23:15Speaker 8: Yeah, yes, you are inducting him as a side and
- 23:18Speaker 8: he's standing there on the side.
- 23:19Speaker 1: So guess what.
- 23:20Speaker 8: He doesn't have a problem being on the side, So
- 23:22Speaker 8: what is the problem. He is a great side piece
- 23:25Speaker 8: for you. You got to take these. When these opportunities come,
- 23:28Speaker 8: you have to jump this one. Yes, this could close
- 23:32Speaker 8: it any time.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Take this.
- 23:34Speaker 8: This is a great side piece. Listen, there are some
- 23:37Speaker 8: great side pieces, and now you got one to stand
- 23:40Speaker 8: in you in the face, and you don't want to
- 23:41Speaker 8: take the opportunity.
- 23:43Speaker 1: She just excuse me for interrupting, But she just wants
- 23:46Speaker 1: him as a friend. Don't forget. This is just as
- 23:48Speaker 1: a friend.
- 23:50Speaker 8: Everybody say that, what do Steve tell you? I ain't
- 23:53Speaker 8: nobody trying to be your friend. This is stop stop JR.
- 23:57Speaker 1: What you got.
- 24:00Speaker 9: I'm with Tommy? Yeah, this is he's not trying to
- 24:02Speaker 9: be your friend. He's on the sideline. Therefore, Tim he
- 24:05Speaker 9: said it, he should be a side piece. You only
- 24:07Speaker 9: been dating the other guy ninety days, that's all he's been.
- 24:11Speaker 9: I can go along on day ninety one, I can
- 24:15Speaker 9: go bad.
- 24:17Speaker 1: Of call it sold.
- 24:20Speaker 12: But isn't it wrong for her to like kind of
- 24:23Speaker 12: like keep him in a holding pattern?
- 24:26Speaker 1: That's where the side pieces go, in a holding pattern.
- 24:29Speaker 1: That's his choice, though, that's his choice.
- 24:31Speaker 9: Which is mena good at holding on? LTD tours about that?
- 24:35Speaker 6: Hold it on?
- 24:36Speaker 3: Don't you.
- 24:39Speaker 9: Mana good and holding on?

- 24:42Speaker 10: Moving on to Morrow's and Cincinnati, Marrit says, I cook
- 24:45Speaker 10: and clean and I do all of the laundry at home.
- 24:48Speaker 10: My queen works hard, so I feel like it's the
- 24:51Speaker 10: least I can do since I don't work. My friend said,
- 24:54Speaker 10: she's got me whooped, and I agree. I'm a sucker
- 24:56Speaker 10: for my wife. Why is that such a bad thing?
- 25:00Speaker 1: First of all, what is your job at? Though? Quick?
- 25:03Speaker 8: Let's start with that. Well, your job? Why you're not working?
- 25:05Speaker 8: Why your lady the one not bringing the bread home?
- 25:08Speaker 6: Are you?
- 25:09Speaker 1: Is something wrong with you? You can't get no job?
- 25:11Speaker 1: What's going on with you? Let's start down.
- 25:13Speaker 8: But I ain't no problem, but I'm glad you are
- 25:14Speaker 8: at least keeping up your chores around the house, cooking
- 25:17Speaker 8: and cleaning and doing. Yeah, you're doing you're doing what
- 25:19Speaker 8: you're doing, what you're supposed to do. But I hope
- 25:22Speaker 8: you online putting in some applications.
- 25:23Speaker 1: I really do. Yeah, maybe this is just a temporary situation, Junior.
- 25:29Speaker 9: I don't know what to say about this.
- 25:31Speaker 13: Uh, doing all the laundry and all the cookie and
- 25:35Speaker 13: the cleaning. I know, Junior's not doing all the laundry
- 25:37Speaker 13: and all the cookie and out I'll cook. But what
- 25:40Speaker 13: I can't do is operate that washing machine every day.
- 25:44Speaker 9: Buttons on that. I can't figure the buttons out of
- 25:46Speaker 9: every day delicate white colors, warm normal. I don't know
- 25:56Speaker 9: quick wash. I don't know when to use none of this.
- 25:58Speaker 9: I soft one man the apartment in that d I

- 26:16Speaker 2: I don't know what.
- 26:17Speaker 9: I can't do all this.
- 26:18Speaker 10: But she's the crazy part about this is that women
- 26:20Speaker 10: usually do most of this and hold down the job.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Yo, come on, come on, we do all of this.
- 26:26Speaker 1: The cooking, the cleaning, the laundry, all of it. And

- 26:42Speaker 1: And and we've been able to do it for years.
- 26:45Speaker 1: And yeah, we've seen our mothers do it, our grandmothers.
- 26:49Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm just picturing him, picturing her coming home from
- 26:53Speaker 8: work and he in the living room folding her drawers
- 26:56Speaker 8: on the couch.
- 26:56Speaker 1: I just picturing that right now. Oh that's text to you. No,
- 27:01Speaker 1: that is not sexy. What did you bring it up? Yes,
- 27:05Speaker 1: Carla so crazy?
- 27:08Speaker 4: And Junior, if your wife made one million dollars a year,
- 27:13Speaker 4: m would.

- 27:39Speaker 1: Down there? What can is this the same song?
- 27:43Speaker 9: I'm not gonna say nothing, but we're gonna have some
- 27:46Speaker 9: nice dinners too, because I'm gonna make.
- 27:47Speaker 10: Them nice dinners all right, Raffaella and Jacksonville rights. I
- 27:53Speaker 10: love to drive in total peace and quiet when I
- 27:55Speaker 10: get off from from a long dead work. My husband
- 27:58Speaker 10: and son think that's a great time to hold a conversation.
- 28:01Speaker 10: If I ignore their calls, it's a problem. How do
- 28:04Speaker 10: I get my two men to respect my boundaries?
- 28:08Speaker 1: Okay, that's your that's your wine down. Time is to
- 28:10Speaker 1: ride home. I get it.
- 28:12Speaker 8: So just tell them what's what's what's? What's the problem
- 28:14Speaker 8: with just telling them? What do they Here's my biggest question?
- 28:17Speaker 8: What do they quant?
- 28:19Speaker 6: What is?
- 28:20Speaker 1: What do you quant?
- 28:22Speaker 6: You know?

- 28:24Speaker 8: want my time? What do you want when I get home?
- 28:27Speaker 8: I got to deal with both of y'all.
- 28:28Speaker 1: What do you want?
- 28:30Speaker 8: I can't wait till six o five. I need five
- 28:32Speaker 8: to six to myself. So do we need do we
- 28:36Speaker 8: need a family?
- 28:37Speaker 1: Meaning? But what do y'all want? Every day?
- 28:40Speaker 12: Every day?
- 28:41Speaker 9: Call?
- 28:43Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 28:44Speaker 9: They had this thing called a power but use it?
- 28:48Speaker 1: Turn the phone out all the way off. That's the
- 28:52Speaker 1: same thing, though, that's the same thing.
- 28:54Speaker 9: She ain't figure your music you plug into your car,
- 28:57Speaker 9: you know you might not want to hear the phone
- 28:58Speaker 9: ring turn it off. Yeah, no, I ain't going away.
- 29:02Speaker 10: Okay, all right, all right, moving on last one, guys.
- 29:05Speaker 10: This is from Teresa and Chicago. Teresa writes, my husband
- 29:09Speaker 10: allows his so called friend to treat him poorly in
- 29:11Speaker 10: front of front of others. My husband complains about it,
- 29:15Speaker 10: but the guy makes up excuses for his rudeness, or
- 29:18Speaker 10: he will say that he was just joking. Why won't
- 29:21Speaker 10: my husband do something about it?
- 29:23Speaker 1: What? Okay, I missed the front part.
- 29:26Speaker 10: He's My husband allows his so called friend to treat
- 29:30Speaker 10: him poorly in front of others. The husband complains about it,
- 29:34Speaker 10: but the guy makes up excuses for his.
- 29:36Speaker 1: Rudeness, or he said, oh man, I was just joking.
- 29:39Speaker 1: I was just joking.
- 29:40Speaker 8: So basically your husband is weak, all right, and your
- 29:44Speaker 8: boys is basically they parking in right, and he evidently
- 29:49Speaker 8: they doing it in front of you, and it's making
- 29:51Speaker 8: you feel bad. You got to go on and pull
- 29:53Speaker 8: your hood to the side and say you're gonna have
- 29:54Speaker 8: to really pull your pants up and be a brown
- 29:56Speaker 8: in and check your boy.
- 29:57Speaker 1: That's what you need to do.
- 30:00Speaker 8: Slap your boy in public in front of everybody. Lap, Yes, Carlo,
- 30:05Speaker 8: we gotta get everybody attention on this day.
- 30:08Speaker 1: I was just joking. Bad, my bad. I'm just joking.
- 30:11Speaker 1: So when you joke, I'm a joke just like that. Yes,
- 30:13Speaker 1: why not? Yes? All right?
- 30:18Speaker 10: Well, okay, coming up at the top of the hour,
- 30:22Speaker 10: we'll have some entertainment news for you right after this.
- 30:25Speaker 1: They don't slap nobody in public no more.
- 30:29Speaker 6: What what?
- 30:31Speaker 1: Yeah, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 30:39Speaker 10: Prosecutors in the Diddy Sean Ditty Combs trial expect to
- 30:43Speaker 10: rest their case on Friday. Court is not in session today,
- 30:47Speaker 10: an observance of Juneteenth, closing statements could be heard. Yeah,
- 30:51Speaker 10: closing statements could be heard next week, and Diddy will
- 30:55Speaker 10: not testify in his own defense. Earlier this year, jurors
- 30:58Speaker 10: wore headphones for a second day to watch explicit videos
- 31:02Speaker 10: of the freak Offs prosecution.
- 31:04Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 31:04Speaker 10: The prosecution contends that did he save those not for
- 31:08Speaker 10: for for not save for work takes as potential blackmail
- 31:12Speaker 10: to silence Cassie, Ventura, Mia and Jane. The defense argued
- 31:16Speaker 10: that the video showed that the women voluntarily participated in
- 31:20Speaker 10: the marathon or geez. The prosecution's next witness will be
- 31:24Speaker 10: Ditty's alleged personal drug guy. The They alleged that Brendan
- 31:29Speaker 10: Paul procured, transported, and distributed for Diddy a wide range
- 31:33Speaker 10: of illicit drugs, including the so called date rate drug
- 31:38Speaker 10: date rape drugs. So that's the latest in the Diddy trial.
- 31:41Speaker 10: And wow, I don't know, people are some people are
- 31:44Speaker 10: saying that he might for lack of a better term,
- 31:47Speaker 10: get off.
- 31:49Speaker 1: He might I mean moving moving drugs. Yeah, he might.
- 31:54Speaker 1: That's what they had to prove it. Yeah, they still
- 31:57Speaker 1: have to prove it.
- 31:58Speaker 4: Yeah, he needs a witness for the prosecution, and then
- 32:02Speaker 4: when they close out, it'll be the defense turned And
- 32:05Speaker 4: they said, yeah, I was reading the defense that they
- 32:07Speaker 4: only needed maybe about five or six days to prepare.
- 32:12Speaker 4: So they're goal closing, Well, they're or their part in it.
- 32:17Speaker 4: They have to just prove beyond reasonable doubt. If they
- 32:21Speaker 4: prove a reasonable doubt, a juror agrees.
- 32:23Speaker 1: So yeah, yeah, Yeah.
- 32:27Speaker 9: The jurors took off today because it probably they probably
- 32:30Speaker 9: had to see a lot when they had to listen
- 32:31Speaker 9: to them take. They heard them.
- 32:34Speaker 1: They needed this day off. They needed it to take
- 32:37Speaker 1: a bath, a showers. Hey, hey, they needed it. Do
- 32:44Speaker 1: you think y'all can sit through a take? Do you
- 32:46Speaker 1: think you can sit through watching it. I have no none,
- 32:51Speaker 1: I have no interest in that. Hearing it is enough.
- 32:55Speaker 12: Now I wouldn't want to, but as a juror, that's
- 32:57Speaker 12: what you have to do to evidence.
- 33:00Speaker 1: You have to do your job. But no, I wouldn't
- 33:03Speaker 1: want to. But I'm if I'm on the jur today,
- 33:06Speaker 1: I'm ready to vote. Yeah, yeah, yeah, let's go. Let's go.
- 33:10Speaker 1: Let meet this over with how many more days? Yeah,
- 33:14Speaker 1: we wouldn't have to come back.
- 33:15Speaker 9: After taking them headphones off and looking at all of
- 33:20Speaker 9: their stuff, say, are we in agreements?
- 33:21Speaker 6: Now?
- 33:21Speaker 9: Everybody?
- 33:22Speaker 6: What else do we need?
- 33:24Speaker 1: We cannot unsee this?
- 33:27Speaker 9: We can now, I'm still confused in here?
- 33:30Speaker 1: Yeah all right?
- 33:32Speaker 10: Moving on to R Kelly, his lawyers are alleging that
- 33:35Speaker 10: Kelly was rushed to the hospital last week for overdosing
- 33:38Speaker 10: on his anxiety medication provided by the prison guard. R
- 33:43Speaker 10: Kelly is serving a thirty year sentence after being convicted

- 34:01Speaker 9: Yeah, wow, anxiety pills.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Yeah, anxiety. Yeah, you have an anxiety attacks.
- 34:11Speaker 9: So if you're getting one anxiety pier a day, that's
- 34:14Speaker 9: all you're getting on who they say.
- 34:16Speaker 4: They gave him, the prison guards gave him more than
- 34:19Speaker 4: the dose that she's Yeah, and I read that the
- 34:24Speaker 4: doctor said that he may have blood clot on his
- 34:26Speaker 4: lungs and he may need surgery, but.
- 34:29Speaker 10: The anything to get out. Yeah yeah, yeah, it's a prison. Yeah,
- 34:35Speaker 10: so he's sick for real. He needs medical attention, he
- 34:38Speaker 10: needs his medical attention.
- 34:40Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, Okay, well in jail, don't care. This is
- 34:43Speaker 1: jail now. So presidents, Yeah, how many years does he
- 34:48Speaker 1: actually had?
- 34:49Speaker 8: Does he have?
- 34:50Speaker 1: How many years? He's a thirty years sentence? I don't know.
- 34:53Speaker 9: But you won't get an album for a while, all right, right, yeah, yes,
- 35:01Speaker 9: you got worried about how much time won't mean no albums?
- 35:04Speaker 9: Something that's enough time. You won't hear Kenny. By the
- 35:09Speaker 9: time we hear Kenny, we will all be in wheel.
- 35:11Speaker 1: Chance, all right.
- 35:18Speaker 10: Finally, the NAACP has announced that, for the first time
- 35:22Speaker 10: in one hundred and sixteen years, the sitting president of
- 35:25Speaker 10: the United States of America will not be invited to
- 35:29Speaker 10: the NAACP National Convention next month.
- 35:32Speaker 1: That's going down in Charlotte.
- 35:34Speaker 10: NAACP President and CEO Derek Johnson said the NAACP is
- 35:39Speaker 10: a nonpartisan organization that quote always welcomes those who believe
- 35:44Speaker 10: in democracy and the constitution. Mister Johnson went on to say,
- 35:48Speaker 10: quote right now, it's clear that Trump is attacking both
- 35:52Speaker 10: civil rights and democracy.
- 35:55Speaker 6: There you go.
- 35:55Speaker 10: So that's why he's not being invited. And it was
- 35:58Speaker 10: a fiasco last year if you remember, it.
- 36:00Speaker 1: Was just a mud slide last year. That was terrible.
- 36:03Speaker 1: But it's good.
- 36:04Speaker 8: I'm glad they stepping up saying we're not bringing you in.
- 36:06Speaker 8: It's that's that's good on their part.
- 36:08Speaker 5: Man.
- 36:09Speaker 1: Wow, goodness. We stand by great decision.
- 36:13Speaker 12: Stand on business ina a c B, stand on that.
- 36:18Speaker 1: You already know you don't know how to throw a party.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Look what happened here weeks ago what Tommy? You saw
- 36:25Speaker 1: what his party was?
- 36:27Speaker 10: Oh yeah, the marching band. Yeah, I mean the military
- 36:30Speaker 10: and all that. Yeah, they looked so miserable. They really
- 36:33Speaker 10: really did marching. But again, thank you for your service. Yeah,
- 36:38Speaker 10: one hundred and sixteen years, that's a long time. First
- 36:41Speaker 10: time and never in their history have they done this.
- 36:44Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that's historical.
- 36:46Speaker 4: But there's a message and their delegates and people that
- 36:50Speaker 4: are attending the convention standing behind the CEO and the president,
- 36:55Speaker 4: mister Johnson, the organization's decision and you know it's this
- 37:00Speaker 4: he's trying to take.
- 37:01Speaker 1: Us back, I know. And yeah, and the NAACP is
- 37:06Speaker 1: the exact opposite. Okay.
- 37:07Speaker 10: We stand for democracy and we believe in the Constitution,
- 37:11Speaker 10: you know, even though it wasn't for us at the time,
- 37:14Speaker 10: we believe in what it stands for. Coming up at
- 37:16Speaker 10: twenty minutes after the hour, we'll have more of a
- 37:18Speaker 10: Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 37:21Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Do you think astronauts
- 37:29Speaker 1: fight over elbow room?
- 37:31Speaker 7: Probably because advanced tech doesn't always mean more space.
- 37:35Speaker 1: Until now.
- 37:36Speaker 7: Introduce it the Hondai Ionic nine, a three row electric
- 37:40Speaker 7: suv with over three hundred miles of range, ultra fast
- 37:44Speaker 7: charging capability, and lots of space.
- 37:46Speaker 8: The all new Hondai Ionic nine face in an ev

- 37:53Speaker 8: rings for Oonic nine based on fully charged batteries for
- 37:55Speaker 8: comparison purpose only. Actual rings will vary based on several factors.
- 37:59Speaker 10: In twenty twenty one, President Biden declared Juneteenth as a
- 38:03Speaker 10: federal national holiday. Juneteenth is a holiday commemorating the end
- 38:08Speaker 10: of slavery in the United States. The end of slavery
- 38:11Speaker 10: in the United States in eighteen sixty three, during the
- 38:14Speaker 10: American Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation,
- 38:20Speaker 10: freeing slaves. However, enslaved black people living in Texas living
- 38:24Speaker 10: in Texas didn't know they were free until two years later.
- 38:28Speaker 10: It wasn't until General Granger and Union soldiers arrived in Galveston,
- 38:33Speaker 10: Texas on June nineteenth, back in eighteen sixty five to
- 38:37Speaker 10: inform the slaves they were free and to enforce the
- 38:40Speaker 10: Emancipation Proclamation. So here's a question, guys, why do you
- 38:44Speaker 10: think it's important to celebrate today June teenth?
- 38:47Speaker 1: I mean, because of all we've gone through is one thing,
- 38:51Speaker 1: you know.
- 38:52Speaker 9: Yeah, it marked the end of a period of slavery
- 38:55Speaker 9: e four hundred years. That was the last day, June teenth,
- 38:59Speaker 9: eighteen sixty five, was the last day that we were
- 39:01Speaker 9: slaves in the United States, the last enforcement of the
- 39:04Speaker 9: Massinmation Proclamation. It happened Major General Gordon Granger. I just
- 39:09Speaker 9: remember Gordon Granger. Gordon Granger came down there and said, Hey,
- 39:13Speaker 9: this is over, put everything down, y'all are free.
- 39:15Speaker 1: What Wow?
- 39:16Speaker 9: Death had to be a shocking day. You don't even
- 39:19Speaker 9: know what to do because you've been slaved your entire existence.
- 39:23Speaker 8: I'm trying to figure out why Granger was two years late.
- 39:25Speaker 8: Y'ALLM calling what you want? Why was you two years late?
- 39:30Speaker 1: Okay?
- 39:30Speaker 8: They was free in Galveston, befro before Houston, and you
- 39:34Speaker 8: got to go through Houston to get the Galvety And
- 39:37Speaker 8: I got a problem with that.
- 39:38Speaker 1: You passed straight through Galvecy and then straight through Houston.
- 39:41Speaker 8: Didn't tell us nothing went up forty five, went to Galveston,
- 39:45Speaker 8: went down there and kicked it for two years, and
- 39:47Speaker 8: then came back and told.
- 39:48Speaker 6: Us what was going on.
- 39:49Speaker 9: Pretty sure it wasn't No. Forty five.
- 39:51Speaker 1: It was highways, it was dirt road something, it was
- 39:54Speaker 1: country roll something.
- 39:55Speaker 8: But you went up there to the water and kicked
- 39:57Speaker 8: it down there for two years and didn't tell us
- 39:59Speaker 8: what was going off.
- 40:00Speaker 1: So yeah, I got to issuate it now.
- 40:02Speaker 10: Yes, slavery was working for them. They didn't want to
- 40:05Speaker 10: give that up. I mean, you know, they wanted to
- 40:07Speaker 10: help hold on to it for as long as they could.
- 40:09Speaker 1: That was free labor for them. Come on, yeah, it
- 40:12Speaker 1: was working.
- 40:13Speaker 12: And then when we were free, they didn't give us anything.
- 40:18Speaker 12: They didn't give us any land, you know.
- 40:20Speaker 8: Our forty acres and which meant which meant most of
- 40:25Speaker 8: us wind up staying where they already were.
- 40:28Speaker 1: Yeah, that's all we knew.
- 40:29Speaker 12: That, That's all they knew.
- 40:32Speaker 4: So it's just like Chirley said, it's so important to
- 40:35Speaker 4: celebrate Juneteenth because it talks.
- 40:38Speaker 1: About where we've come from, where we've been. It's part
- 40:42Speaker 1: of our history.
- 40:43Speaker 4: And when Biden to me, when he made it a
- 40:45Speaker 4: national holiday, it was about educating it and correct and
- 40:52Speaker 4: all the things that Trump is trying to take back.
- 40:55Speaker 4: That was a message I felt that Biden was trying
- 40:58Speaker 4: to say, I made it a holiday for years ago
- 41:01Speaker 4: almost for.
- 41:02Speaker 10: Yeah, and forever grateful for that too, you know, especially
- 41:05Speaker 10: when they're trying to erase our history. Anyway, coming up
- 41:09Speaker 10: at thirty four minutes after the hour, we're gonna ask
- 41:11Speaker 10: this question, what do you love about being black? We'll
- 41:15Speaker 10: talk about it right after that. You're listening to the
- 41:22Speaker 10: Harvey Morning Show. Well, happy Juneteenth everyone. This today is
- 41:30Speaker 10: Juneteenth Morning crew. We're going to ask a question. We
- 41:34Speaker 10: got to do this because it's Juneteenth. Here's a question,
- 41:37Speaker 10: what do you love about being black?
- 41:39Speaker 12: Come on, thanks, come on, come on today.
- 41:51Speaker 10: Because you know, because of all the stereotypes and everything
- 41:55Speaker 10: that are out there, sometimes, you know, people may feel like,
- 41:58Speaker 10: oh boy, it's so hard, so hard, so hard being black.
- 42:02Speaker 10: Why we got you know, why we got to go
- 42:03Speaker 10: through all this stuff being black?
- 42:05Speaker 1: You know, I love this.
- 42:09Speaker 8: I love the strength, I love the power. I love
- 42:12Speaker 8: our culture, I love our music. I love everything about us. Man,
- 42:17Speaker 8: there's not a day I want to wake up and
- 42:19Speaker 8: be another color. I love being black and strong it is.
- 42:24Speaker 8: You know what we've gone through a lot. We've gone
- 42:27Speaker 8: through a lot, and I hate what we've gone through.
- 42:28Speaker 8: But I love how strong and powerful we are after
- 42:31Speaker 8: what we've gone through. You know what the songwriter say,
- 42:33Speaker 8: my soul look back and wonder how I got over.
- 42:36Speaker 8: We have gotten to a position where I am so
- 42:39Speaker 8: grateful that we are here and we keep getting better
- 42:41Speaker 8: and better.
- 42:42Speaker 1: I just yeah, believe that so much more.
- 42:49Speaker 8: That's where I'm going, so much more. But where we are,
- 42:52Speaker 8: I'm not mad about it. Look back, look back, look back,
- 42:55Speaker 8: and now look at the look at us, look at us.
- 42:56Speaker 1: Now, come on, yeah, and we're not trying to go back.
- 43:00Speaker 1: That is the issue. We're not trying to go back there.
- 43:03Speaker 9: It's so many things I love about being black, But
- 43:05Speaker 9: the number one thing that I love about being black
- 43:07Speaker 9: seasoning on food Lord come out like it is so
- 43:11Speaker 9: important in life. It's so important in life.
- 43:15Speaker 12: We stand on that, don't we stand on it?
- 43:19Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 43:20Speaker 9: I go I've been the white people house, not eight.
- 43:22Speaker 9: I've tried. I've tried to st stuff it just ain't it. Dress,
- 43:29Speaker 9: learn this recipe, sit under us. We've talked y'all so
- 43:32Speaker 9: many things. Yes, go that down, sweet potato, try try it,
- 43:43Speaker 9: neck bones, turke it next, poke, y'all try these things.
- 43:47Speaker 12: You know what I love about being black?
- 43:49Speaker 6: What is it?
- 43:50Speaker 1: Because crazy?
- 43:53Speaker 12: But I get a season and we get the hot
- 43:54Speaker 12: sauce in our bag, and.
- 43:58Speaker 1: Right, I get it.
- 43:59Speaker 4: But I love We are trend setters. We are trend setters.
- 44:04Speaker 4: We set the tone. We tell you what's cool, what's not,
- 44:09Speaker 4: what's hot, what's not. We tell you what to wear,
- 44:11Speaker 4: We tell you how to wear your hair. We tell
- 44:14Speaker 4: you what to drink. We tell you what's hot, What
- 44:17Speaker 4: dance is hot, what music is hot, liquor is hot.
- 44:22Speaker 4: I'm just saying, we'll tell you what's different. Kind of
- 44:24Speaker 4: brand of liquor. That didn't sound right on Jim.
- 44:29Speaker 10: What they Finn do with Thom's celebration.
- 44:33Speaker 1: It's a holiday. That's funny though.
- 44:37Speaker 4: It's me in everything. We are the trend setters. Yeah,
- 44:42Speaker 4: we sold the drink, what food to just everything.
- 44:49Speaker 10: We get no credit for that. How creative and innovative
- 44:52Speaker 10: we are, we get no credit for it. But we
- 44:55Speaker 10: do set the trends. I love how we rise to
- 44:58Speaker 10: every occasion. Love our resilience, what we've gone through, How

- 45:42Speaker 9: people here.
- 45:43Speaker 2: Terrible.
- 45:44Speaker 9: Yeah, all our TV shows everything. I love the fact
- 45:48Speaker 9: that black people have learned so well how.
- 45:49Speaker 1: To laugh at pain. We laughed at yeah.
- 45:52Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 45:53Speaker 1: And we keep going, we keep setting, we keep going.
- 45:57Speaker 4: Love our HBCUs, I love pride, I love our culture.

- 48:30Speaker 1: What is OBB?
- 48:32Speaker 14: How did you get my number?
- 48:33Speaker 8: Okay, I got your number from Benjamin Crump. He gave
- 48:36Speaker 8: me your number, and OBB is our Black Businesses. I've
- 48:40Speaker 8: met you before. Then you work at Lee Merrit's office
- 48:42Speaker 8: for a while.
- 48:43Speaker 10: Rus work together for that?
- 48:45Speaker 14: Yeah, we worked together for a second.
- 48:46Speaker 8: Yeah, okay, I was actually working at Leeds, but I
- 48:49Speaker 8: think you had just gotten there when I was leaving.
- 48:51Speaker 8: But I wanted to give you a call because here
- 48:54Speaker 8: at OBB, we got a bit of a problem. Now,
- 48:56Speaker 8: we were about to get an award from the Dallas
- 48:59Speaker 8: Morning News.
- 49:00Speaker 6: Were about to get.
- 49:01Speaker 14: Up congratulations, that's awesome.
- 49:03Speaker 6: Well, no, we didn't get it.
- 49:05Speaker 8: So we was about to get a Benchmark Business Award,
- 49:07Speaker 8: which which came with a two million dollar grant. But
- 49:10Speaker 8: we could help a whole lot of black businesses. Now
- 49:12Speaker 8: the problem is we was denied that, and they're saying
- 49:16Speaker 8: they've denied.
- 49:17Speaker 6: Us from some some stupid that you said on TV.
- 49:20Speaker 8: So they're saying that we got denied of a benchmark
- 49:24Speaker 8: business award.
- 49:25Speaker 6: They supposed give us two million dollars.
- 49:27Speaker 8: Was gonna help a lot of business with this, but
- 49:29Speaker 8: that you said on TV, and now they hesitant on
- 49:32Speaker 8: giving black organizations any kind of front.
- 49:35Speaker 14: Werobably ain't nothing that I said. It's probably something that
- 49:37Speaker 14: Trump then said, it ain't got nothing to do with me.
- 49:40Speaker 8: At the end of the day, we need you not
- 49:42Speaker 8: to say nothing for the next four years because this
- 49:44Speaker 8: gets created a big problem.
- 49:45Speaker 14: Yeah, I said, I don't even know. Okay, I'm gonna
- 49:49Speaker 14: have to direct you to my staff. I only continued
- 49:52Speaker 14: this conversation because you said that you knew Benjamin Crump,
- 49:57Speaker 14: and Crump is like a big brother of mine. So
- 50:00Speaker 14: if he gave you my number, he does not do
- 50:02Speaker 14: that lightly. So I'm not really sure what's going.
- 50:05Speaker 1: On a friend of mine.
- 50:08Speaker 8: The problem is that that you're saying. There's the problem
- 50:11Speaker 8: that I got, and I'm trying to get you to
- 50:13Speaker 8: be quiet. For you, some of these Republicans are good
- 50:16Speaker 8: white folks. You know what I'm saying, Oh, oh, well,
- 50:20Speaker 8: name them for me.
- 50:21Speaker 14: I mean, I don't help them, but nevertheless, but nevertheless,
- 50:25Speaker 14: I don't know how you got my number, And I'm
- 50:28Speaker 14: gonna have to have a conversation with Ben because we
- 50:31Speaker 14: have never had this type of situation. And I am
- 50:34Speaker 14: sorry that you felt like I had something to do
- 50:36Speaker 14: with you losing your award. Listen, I want all my
- 50:39Speaker 14: black businesses to survive and thrive, and so if there's anything.
- 50:43Speaker 6: That we can what are you doing?
- 50:45Speaker 1: And what are you doing? J what are you doing
- 50:47Speaker 1: for black business?
- 50:48Speaker 6: What are you doing?
- 50:49Speaker 14: I am Listen, I do a ton If you are
- 50:51Speaker 14: familiar with the leadership under Pete Budadees with the Department
- 50:55Speaker 14: of Transportation. The things that we did was we tried
- 50:58Speaker 14: to insulate black business is from an incoming an incoming
- 51:03Speaker 14: crazy regime like the one that we've had to make
- 51:05Speaker 14: sure that they could still get those contracts to be
- 51:08Speaker 14: able to go out and work on these big infrastructure
- 51:10Speaker 14: projects and things like that. And I honestly have a
- 51:13Speaker 14: great relationship with the black businesses in my community. I'm
- 51:16Speaker 14: surprised that I've never met you. I worked with the
- 51:18Speaker 14: Black Chamber of Business and we always do events together
- 51:22Speaker 14: and I would love to bring you in your organization
- 51:25Speaker 14: into the fall. But this I gotta go. But you
- 51:29Speaker 14: can call my office and my staff can help you.
- 51:31Speaker 8: So you got now you ain't got time for black people.
- 51:33Speaker 6: You ain't got time to talk to me.
- 51:35Speaker 1: Now now you've got to go. You got to run.
- 51:37Speaker 14: I always ask something, but this is getting a little
- 51:39Speaker 14: bit more hostile then I typically like to deal with,
- 51:43Speaker 14: because if you've seen me, I know how to pop off,
- 51:45Speaker 14: and I don't want to pop off because I understand
- 51:48Speaker 14: your frustration. You're talking about losing two million dollars, so
- 51:52Speaker 14: I get it. I would rather be productive and figure
- 51:55Speaker 14: out how we can get that money back for you.
- 51:57Speaker 14: I know people at Dallas Morning News, and so hopefully
- 52:02Speaker 14: I can assist you with that. But I can assure
- 52:04Speaker 14: you that that money doesn't have anything to do with
- 52:07Speaker 14: me and anything that I've said, they saying this is they.
- 52:12Speaker 8: Saying this is perhaps you definitely said you're saying on TV,
- 52:16Speaker 8: and this is the reason why, this is the reason
- 52:18Speaker 8: why they're holding back on giving us the grant, my
- 52:21Speaker 8: form my organization. Okay, And I'm sure this probably started
- 52:25Speaker 8: when you got on there with that white lady with
- 52:27Speaker 8: that bleach blonde, bad built beach body. When you did that,
- 52:31Speaker 8: that's probably what created the problem.
- 52:32Speaker 14: Enough I don't think so. You know, honestly, that was
- 52:38Speaker 14: a white woman at work that disrespected me, and I
- 52:40Speaker 14: got nothing beloved when I call Martin a bleach blonde,
- 52:44Speaker 14: bad built bush body. So if it offended you, I
- 52:48Speaker 14: don't know if you blonde or bleach or a bad
- 52:50Speaker 14: built I don't know, But I will say that a
- 52:54Speaker 14: lot of people were happy that I stood up to
- 52:56Speaker 14: a bully. And the same way you and your organization
- 52:59Speaker 14: are being lead out of y'all money, I am going
- 53:02Speaker 14: to absolutely make sure that I fight those bullies back
- 53:06Speaker 14: on your behalf. So you should just take from that
- 53:09Speaker 14: moment and recognize that I cannot be pushed around by anybody.
- 53:13Speaker 8: You messed up all our money, and you're trying now
- 53:15Speaker 8: you're trying to figure out why I'm upset about it. Yeah,
- 53:18Speaker 8: I'm upset about it. I'm trying to get you to understand.
- 53:20Speaker 8: But really, honestly, for the next four years, we need
- 53:23Speaker 8: you to sit down and be quiet. That's what we
- 53:25Speaker 8: really need you to do, sir.
- 53:26Speaker 14: Sir, like I mean, I don't want to fight. It
- 53:29Speaker 14: sounds like you want to fight, but listen, as a
- 53:31Speaker 14: public servant, I am really trying to serve the people,
- 53:33Speaker 14: So just tell me how it is that I can
- 53:36Speaker 14: help you. Instead of fighting with me. What we need
- 53:39Speaker 14: to do is focus on how we're gonna get you
- 53:40Speaker 14: your money. And I am committed today.
- 53:42Speaker 1: Well, can I tell you one more thing before you go? Absolutely, sir,
- 53:45Speaker 1: I'm listening, Jasmine. This is nephew Tommy from the Steel
- 53:49Speaker 1: Harbin Martin.
- 53:50Speaker 14: You do you know how crazy my life is?
- 53:56Speaker 6: And you are playing on my phone? Please?
- 54:01Speaker 14: Like I got people coming left and right complaining about
- 54:03Speaker 14: everything under the sun. Hey, you won't hear playing.
- 54:07Speaker 6: On my phone?
- 54:08Speaker 14: Like I don't even want to know how and why,
- 54:12Speaker 14: I legitimately don't even know. I don't even want to know.
- 54:15Speaker 3: But this takes the time.
- 54:18Speaker 1: Oh no, no, but listen, let me just say this.
- 54:20Speaker 1: We are behind you.
- 54:21Speaker 8: We love you one hundred percent, especially here the Steve
- 54:24Speaker 8: Harvey Morning Show.

- 54:27Speaker 1: I had to call, I had to try.
- 54:30Speaker 4: This is not what I needed.
- 54:31Speaker 1: But uh, but I guess I love y'all.
- 54:34Speaker 3: One day.
- 54:34Speaker 6: Yes, just tell me this.
- 54:36Speaker 1: What is the baddest and I mean the baddest radio
- 54:39Speaker 1: show in the land, The Steve Harvey Morning Show. When

- 55:28Speaker 8: one thousand percent of everything that you're doing. And you
- 55:31Speaker 8: say what you want to say because you are saying
- 55:33Speaker 8: what a lot of us want to say. Well, you
- 55:35Speaker 8: are being heard and we appreciate you.
- 55:37Speaker 1: Thanking of you.

- 56:40Speaker 10: right here, right now, and you never know, it could
- 56:42Speaker 10: be yours.
- 56:43Speaker 1: It could be yours. Buckle love on, hold on time.
- 56:45Speaker 1: We got it for you. Here it is Strawberry Letters, all.
- 56:49Speaker 10: Right, neph you thank you. Subjects. Being healthy doesn't work
- 56:52Speaker 10: for everybody, Just Stephen Shirley. Late last year, my husband
- 56:56Speaker 10: and I decided to get in better physical and spiritual shape.
- 57:00Speaker 10: He got baptized and I fully supported him. We became
- 57:03Speaker 10: pescatarians and it helped him lose fourteen pounds so far.
- 57:07Speaker 10: Pescatarians you eat only fish. You eat vegetables and all
- 57:11Speaker 10: that other stuff, but yeah, your meat is fish. I
- 57:14Speaker 10: am petite and I have never had a problem with
- 57:17Speaker 10: my weight, but I do love making healthier food choices.
- 57:21Speaker 10: I think my husband takes everything too far, though. He
- 57:25Speaker 10: has removed things from his life that he needs, like
- 57:27Speaker 10: the skincare he used last year. It's a must for
- 57:31Speaker 10: him because he has hair bumps. Now he uses a
- 57:34Speaker 10: homemade salve that doesn't work at all to exfoliate his skin.
- 57:38Speaker 10: He's also been using an all natural deodorant and that
- 57:42Speaker 10: doesn't work on his body. He needs all of the
- 57:45Speaker 10: aluminum and other sad stuff that was in his old
- 57:49Speaker 10: deodorant before because it worked. We work out together, so
- 57:53Speaker 10: it's hard riding back home in the car with him.
- 57:56Speaker 10: Since he switched his deodorants. He does most of the cooking,
- 58:00Speaker 10: and he switched to salt free seasonings, and he uses
- 58:03Speaker 10: a lot of garlic for everything. If I offered a
- 58:06Speaker 10: cook he stands over me and tells me how to
- 58:08Speaker 10: season the food. Our intimacy has changed too. He doesn't
- 58:13Speaker 10: want me on birth control because it's not natural. The
- 58:16Speaker 10: method he's chosen to use is not full proof, and
- 58:19Speaker 10: I'm always paranoid that I'll get pregnant. We've made it
- 58:22Speaker 10: clear that we don't want kids, so he's playing a
- 58:25Speaker 10: dangerous game. After six years of marriage, I'm still not
- 58:31Speaker 10: comfortable telling him that he smells bad and that his
- 58:34Speaker 10: cooking is bland. I need him to get his skin
- 58:38Speaker 10: together as well. Don't get me wrong, being healthy is ideal,
- 58:42Speaker 10: but he needs to tweak some things. How do I
- 58:44Speaker 10: tell him that, yes, you are right, being healthy is ideal.
- 58:49Speaker 10: That's what we all strive for, being in our best health.
- 58:52Speaker 10: But yeah, you need to tweak a lot of things.
- 58:54Speaker 10: And you just got to tell him. I mean, there's
- 58:56Speaker 10: no way around this. You have to tell him that
- 58:59Speaker 10: he smells me. You have to don't crush him with it, though.
- 59:03Speaker 10: I mean, you just got to find a kind way,
- 59:06Speaker 10: if there is one to tell him. I mean, is
- 59:09Speaker 10: there a nice way to tell someone that they stink?
- 59:11Speaker 6: Huh?
- 59:13Speaker 10: Do your research? Find some other deodorants for him, I mean,
- 59:17Speaker 10: look into some more skin products. You got to do
- 59:19Speaker 10: this for him. You got to buy them. You got
- 59:21Speaker 10: to ask him to try the new ones, and then
- 59:24Speaker 10: get some taste of your seasonings. Gets you know, you
- 59:26Speaker 10: got to put some salt on your food. That's what
- 59:28Speaker 10: brings the flavor out. And what do you mean he
- 59:31Speaker 10: stands over you while you're cooking. Just ask him to
- 59:34Speaker 10: have a seat and tell him you got this, And
- 59:38Speaker 10: why after six years are you uncomfortable still to tell
- 59:42Speaker 10: your husband things. You know, you got up the courage
- 59:46Speaker 10: to write us, and it's going to take that same
- 59:50Speaker 10: boldness to let him know how you feel. I just say,
- 59:52Speaker 10: don't crush them, be nice about it. Start and end
- 59:55Speaker 10: with some sort of compliment like honey, you look good.
- 59:58Speaker 1: I'm proud of you.
- 59:59Speaker 8: You know.
- 1:00:00Speaker 10: Then hit them with the I found these products. They
- 1:00:02Speaker 10: may work better for you because the ones you're using
- 1:00:04Speaker 10: aren't doing the job. They are not working. And then
- 1:00:08Speaker 10: I like the other skin products you use because the
- 1:00:11Speaker 10: skin is soft. Your skin is soft and smooth with
- 1:00:14Speaker 10: no hair bumps. But you gotta, you know, mix it in.
- 1:00:18Speaker 10: You know, you gotta tell them nicely, all right, don't
- 1:00:20Speaker 10: just blast them out. The key is how you say it,
- 1:00:22Speaker 10: not what you say. And I think you can do
- 1:00:24Speaker 10: this this, But why are you scared to talk to
- 1:00:27Speaker 10: your husband after six years? You say he's playing a
- 1:00:30Speaker 10: dangerous game with the with the birth control situation. No,
- 1:00:34Speaker 10: you're playing a dangerous game. It's your body. And if
- 1:00:36Speaker 10: you guys have decided not to have kids, you guys
- 1:00:39Speaker 10: got to work on this Tommy, in the.
- 1:00:42Speaker 8: Words of a gentleman in my grandmother's neighborhood when I
- 1:00:46Speaker 8: was growing up, Books and Bibles was his name, and
- 1:00:51Speaker 8: books and Bibles used to roll up and say, man.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: It's a lowdown and funky deal. What that meant? We
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: call them books and Bibles. And as soon as he
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: come up on you, he be man, it's a low
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: down and funky deal.
- 1:01:07Speaker 8: This is a low down and funky deal. Because you
- 1:01:12Speaker 8: got a situation. Now, your man stink. I say all
- 1:01:15Speaker 8: I can. I'm smelling this through the letter the letters.
- 1:01:18Speaker 8: Think that y'all don't smell all this. All this stink,
- 1:01:21Speaker 8: the and I'm probably why y'all cooking in the kitchen.
- 1:01:24Speaker 8: He's stank, when y'all in the bedroom, he's stank. When
- 1:01:27Speaker 8: y'all at the gym, he's stank. And if y'all bring
- 1:01:30Speaker 8: a baby in this world, the baby gonna stank everything.
- 1:01:34Speaker 8: This just this, ah, this stanks, this just stanks right here.
- 1:01:39Speaker 8: We got to figure out how to get some deodorant
- 1:01:42Speaker 8: up under his arm. And I listen while he's sleep,
- 1:01:45Speaker 8: I'm just saying this while he's sleep. I think you
- 1:01:47Speaker 8: should get that old white jar with that red top
- 1:01:51Speaker 8: that tossed deodorant and put that just paste it up
- 1:01:54Speaker 8: under his arm so he can start smelling a little
- 1:01:57Speaker 8: bit better.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: This right here is bad. You gotta have that conversation.
- 1:02:01Speaker 8: It's time to have a commsit when you're but this
- 1:02:04Speaker 8: is your This is not your it's not your boyfriend,
- 1:02:07Speaker 8: it's not somebody you dating.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: This is your husband. This is the person you laying
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: next to every night. This is your man.
- 1:02:14Speaker 8: So you got to be able to y'all got to
- 1:02:16Speaker 8: be close enough to baby and say, baby, we got
- 1:02:19Speaker 8: to sit down and have his top.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: Baby, you stink. You stank.
- 1:02:22Speaker 8: Matter of fact, when he started coming in the house,
- 1:02:24Speaker 8: start playing stuff like when the funk hit the fan
- 1:02:28Speaker 8: and the people want to come on play that make
- 1:02:32Speaker 8: my funk the p funk. I wants to get funked up.
- 1:02:36Speaker 8: You got to start playing stuff he can relate to
- 1:02:38Speaker 8: and understand. Brother, you funky. It's a load down and
- 1:02:42Speaker 8: funky deal. And that's where you are. Man.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: It's just it's a time.
- 1:02:46Speaker 8: It's a load down and funk it deal. We got
- 1:02:49Speaker 8: to get your husband somem deodorant. We got to get
- 1:02:51Speaker 8: I don't know what we gotta do with this he
- 1:02:53Speaker 8: breaking out. I don't know what we're gonna do by
- 1:02:54Speaker 8: this X man. We gotta figure that part out too,
- 1:02:56Speaker 8: But that's what he got. Sure, that's what it is.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: That's what that is. I know it when I hear
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: that's ignorant.
- 1:03:03Speaker 10: Hang on, we'll have part two of our response to
- 1:03:06Speaker 10: today's Strawberry letter at twenty three minutes after the.
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: Hour fok right after this pole. Come on, get with me.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: You're listening Harvey Morning Show. Do you think astronauts fight
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: over elbow room?
- 1:03:26Speaker 7: Probably because advanced tech doesn't always mean more space. Until now,
- 1:03:30Speaker 7: introduce it the Hondai Ionic nine, a three row electric
- 1:03:35Speaker 7: suv with over three hundred miles of range, ultra fast
- 1:03:39Speaker 7: charging capability, and lots of space.
- 1:03:41Speaker 8: The all new Hondai Ionic nine face in an EV.
- 1:03:45Speaker 8: Visit Hondai USA dot com for more details. EPA estimated
- 1:03:48Speaker 8: rings for nine based on fully charged batteries for comparison
- 1:03:51Speaker 8: purpose only. Actual rains will vary based on several factors.
- 1:03:54Speaker 10: All right, we're gonna recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject
- 1:03:57Speaker 10: is being healthy doesn't work for everybody. Woman wrote in
- 1:04:02Speaker 10: she and her husband have been married for six years.
- 1:04:04Speaker 10: She says late last year, she and her husband decided
- 1:04:07Speaker 10: to get in better physical and spiritual shape. He joined church.
- 1:04:10Speaker 10: She supported him one hundred percent. Then they changed their diet.
- 1:04:14Speaker 10: They became pescatarians. So far, he's lost fourteen pounds. She's fatigue.
- 1:04:19Speaker 10: She's never had a problem with her weight, but she
- 1:04:22Speaker 10: does like making healthier food choices. She says, she thinks
- 1:04:27Speaker 10: her husband takes everything too far, though you know, it's
- 1:04:31Speaker 10: just to the extreme. He stopped wearing his same deodorant.
- 1:04:34Speaker 10: Now he smells badly. He stopped, he made some homemade
- 1:04:38Speaker 10: sab for his beard, and now he has hair bumps.
- 1:04:43Speaker 10: He doesn't cook with salt anymore. And all of this,
- 1:04:46Speaker 10: she says, it's just too much and too far. He
- 1:04:49Speaker 10: uses garlic for everything. If she offers to cook, he
- 1:04:53Speaker 10: stands over the stove and checks and watches everything she does.
- 1:04:58Speaker 10: And you know, and then he doesn't want her to
- 1:05:01Speaker 10: use birth control because they've tried to. They don't want
- 1:05:03Speaker 10: to have children. They both said they don't want children.
- 1:05:06Speaker 10: So if she's she stopped, and she says he's playing
- 1:05:09Speaker 10: a dangerous game. But again, they've been married for six
- 1:05:12Speaker 10: years and she's still uncomfortable telling him about how he
- 1:05:17Speaker 10: smells and the other bath and other things. So she's saying,
- 1:05:20Speaker 10: don't get her wrong, being healthy is ideal, but she
- 1:05:23Speaker 10: wants to know how should she tell him that he's stinks?
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: Junior.
- 1:05:27Speaker 9: You know what, Charley Carl It this Tommy. These the
- 1:05:30Speaker 9: people to get on my nerves, These people who been
- 1:05:35Speaker 9: a Christian eight hours and try to tell everybody how
- 1:05:40Speaker 9: to live.
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: Because he Average says.
- 1:05:43Speaker 9: You got baptized. Now we all fish. Ever says you
- 1:05:48Speaker 9: own baptized. Now we can't wear at the yodiny Average
- 1:05:52Speaker 9: said you to got baptized. I mean everything. I gotta
- 1:05:56Speaker 9: be all birth joy, never looking at your old faulse
- 1:05:59Speaker 9: nothing everything wrong with me. See, I can't stand there
- 1:06:03Speaker 9: with this has to stop. You have to go get unbaptized.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: You was fine, he was fine.
- 1:06:08Speaker 9: Just go unbaptized.
- 1:06:09Speaker 6: Here.
- 1:06:09Speaker 9: We asked you to follow Jesus, not smell like Jesus.
- 1:06:12Speaker 9: We ain't asking you to do all that. What we
- 1:06:15Speaker 9: asked you to follow Jesus, not try to smell like Jesus.
- 1:06:18Speaker 9: We asked you to do all that follow him.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: That's different.
- 1:06:22Speaker 9: Yeah, because Lord didn't have old spikes back then.
- 1:06:25Speaker 6: We do.
- 1:06:29Speaker 9: You ain't never heard nobody say, you know what took
- 1:06:31Speaker 9: him out? Old spice that killed him right there, That
- 1:06:34Speaker 9: old spies got him. You know, we ain't never heard
- 1:06:37Speaker 9: We ain't never heard seasoning. Because now you're cooking all
- 1:06:40Speaker 9: that's playing. Ain't nobody ever said, Ain't nobody ever said
- 1:06:43Speaker 9: lowrys and onion, onion powder got them. That's what that

- 1:11:31Speaker 9: well at there's too many parades going on today. It's
- 1:11:33Speaker 9: too many barbecues happening today.

- 1:12:43Speaker 1: people are not as enthused. I'm still watching.
- 1:12:46Speaker 8: I'm liking it, but a lot of people on enthus
- 1:12:48Speaker 8: because they're not the high profile team, so you know players,
- 1:12:52Speaker 8: they had the big names, you know, but you know,
- 1:12:54Speaker 8: Oklahoma had a great record the entire season. They've been playing,
- 1:12:57Speaker 8: they've been balling, and the beer, Yeah, they deserve it.
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: So I'm showing them love.
- 1:13:03Speaker 8: I hope they they will be a contender next year
- 1:13:06Speaker 8: and then we'll be following them.
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: So you know, it is what it is? What is
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: Lee doings? Making them clothes?
- 1:13:17Speaker 6: Who?
- 1:13:19Speaker 8: What same ss is making these clothes? Like he's still

- 1:13:26Speaker 9: What is that the same super overseeing Malcolm?
- 1:13:28Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: Just this this what was the name that Sharlty what
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: was his name? And this is what is what is this?
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: This long coat down to your knees. I don't know
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: you alone. I love Spike, you know I love Spike
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: you too?
- 1:13:44Speaker 6: You too?

- 1:13:55Speaker 10: Coming up at the top of the hour, woman on
- 1:13:57Speaker 10: social media needs some advice. She says, I post a
- 1:14:00Speaker 10: racist meme without knowing it. Oh, we'll talk about that
- 1:14:03Speaker 10: right after this.
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: Dun, dun. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:14:12Speaker 10: This is from mis anonymous on Steve Harvey FM, and
- 1:14:15Speaker 10: you'll see why she wants to remain anonymous after this.
- 1:14:19Speaker 10: She says that recently posted a meme that I thought
- 1:14:22Speaker 10: was funny, only to find out later it had some
- 1:14:25Speaker 10: really messed up racist origins.
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: I had no idea. I thought it was just a
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: silly little.
- 1:14:31Speaker 10: Internet joke, but as soon as someone pointed it out,
- 1:14:35Speaker 10: I deleted it. I got several dms from friends saying WTF,
- 1:14:39Speaker 10: and I was able to explain it to them that
- 1:14:42Speaker 10: I just had no clue about the memes meaning. But
- 1:14:45Speaker 10: now I'm wondering if I should make a public post
- 1:14:48Speaker 10: explaining myself or will that just make things worse? Is
- 1:14:52Speaker 10: silence the better move? Or do I own my ignorance
- 1:14:55Speaker 10: out loud? And she did not say what racist meme
- 1:14:58Speaker 10: it was this it's.
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: A white woman. I can tell it's a white woman.
- 1:15:03Speaker 8: Yeah you Karen, Yeah, it's a white lady and her
- 1:15:08Speaker 8: black friends and then hit up with with w TF,
- 1:15:11Speaker 8: I get it. And now she's trying to figure out
- 1:15:13Speaker 8: how to how to just come just come out and say, look,
- 1:15:16Speaker 8: I have no idea, I'm sorry, I apologize, I let
- 1:15:18Speaker 8: it go.
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: But yeah, your black friends can hit you up for shure.
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, just own it so we can
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: move on. But you know, a teaching moment, do you think.
- 1:15:32Speaker 4: She should post something? I think she's silent. I don't
- 1:15:35Speaker 4: think she shouldn't. Don't, don't, don't make it worse, fix.
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: It, make it worse? Yea, Yeah, that's that's that's what
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: she's saying.
- 1:15:43Speaker 10: Yeah, should she make a public post explaining herself, Well,
- 1:15:47Speaker 10: that just makes Yeah.
- 1:15:49Speaker 8: Once black people send you a w TL, you need
- 1:15:52Speaker 8: to check yourself. You check yourself because you're right on
- 1:15:54Speaker 8: the edge. Now you're right on the edge, all right.
- 1:15:57Speaker 10: Moving on to Tracy on c Barb Tracy says, it's
- 1:16:01Speaker 10: a small world. I recently got to know a woman
- 1:16:03Speaker 10: who is smart, funny, and just genuinely fun to be around.
- 1:16:07Speaker 10: And it turns out she's also my boyfriend's ex. They
- 1:16:12Speaker 10: dated a few years ago, nothing dramatic or toxic. They've
- 1:16:16Speaker 10: clearly moved on. But the minute he found out we've
- 1:16:19Speaker 10: been hanging out, he started tripping. He says it makes
- 1:16:22Speaker 10: him uncomfortable and asked me to stop being friends with her.
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: The thing is, I really like her.
- 1:16:28Speaker 10: I don't understand. I don't feel threatened, and I know
- 1:16:31Speaker 10: she's not trying to start anything. So do I just
- 1:16:35Speaker 10: have to cut her off because of their past?
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: She likes the woman, so she wants to remain friendly. Yeah,
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: but her man a little uncomfortable though, you know what
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: is that? What's more?
- 1:16:45Speaker 8: What's more, he's I don't know, he's uncomfortable. So if
- 1:16:48Speaker 8: he's uncomfortable, you gotta respect that. When you what would
- 1:16:51Speaker 8: your ladies do if your man is saying he's uncomfortable?
- 1:16:54Speaker 8: Can we just do you have to be friends with
- 1:16:56Speaker 8: his one brother?
- 1:16:57Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: I mean I'll be like, what does that mean? What
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: does that mean? You're uncomfortable?
- 1:17:01Speaker 8: See?
- 1:17:01Speaker 6: Why?
- 1:17:01Speaker 8: Why did you have to go all deeper into all.
- 1:17:04Speaker 8: The man is saying he uncomfortable, so you don't want.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: To be her friend.
- 1:17:09Speaker 12: I'm good. Look at my man.
- 1:17:12Speaker 6: You're right.
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: You know I'm saying this time.
- 1:17:19Speaker 9: I'm gonna say just like this too, because you know
- 1:17:20Speaker 9: you don't know her like I know her. That's why
- 1:17:23Speaker 9: we exes.
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: I know, okay, I know. Well, then say that.
- 1:17:27Speaker 9: Yeah, you think she's funny, she's genuine, and she does
- 1:17:30Speaker 9: all this great person all that stuff. See that's true,
- 1:17:32Speaker 9: that's not true. See, everybody love evil people in public.
- 1:17:35Speaker 9: Evil people are loved in public. Everybody loved evil my ex.
- 1:17:41Speaker 9: Think about my own ex. Everybody. Everybody love evil people.
- 1:17:45Speaker 3: In public.
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: In public?
- 1:17:48Speaker 9: Everybody love it. You know what I would like my ex?
- 1:17:54Speaker 9: She took all my clothes and put them in a
- 1:17:56Speaker 9: trash bag and set them out side. But then she
- 1:17:58Speaker 9: go to my mama house for Thanksgiving.
- 1:17:59Speaker 6: Ain't that?
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: Oh that's evil. Now I'm with you when you write
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: that that's evil. That's evil at my mama house.
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: And I love her?
- 1:18:06Speaker 9: Did I walk in the house.
- 1:18:08Speaker 6: Day?
- 1:18:08Speaker 9: He is right there to turn my own family against me.
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: Help you can talk.
- 1:18:12Speaker 9: Everybody love evil people in public?
- 1:18:15Speaker 12: Yes, they donderstand by that.

- 1:18:27Speaker 9: to me. I know everything she's done to me.
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: I know, okay, turn my cell phone off. I know
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: she turned it off.
