  Thinking today of a classic verse, Matthew 11,

  28. It says, Come to me, all you who are weary

  and heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Often

  quoted, this verse is part of the great promises

  of his presence. He can lift our burdens and

  he can provide rest. I think a big part of this
• 0:17
  is in the trusting. When we know things are this
• 0:20
  way, because he allows them to be this way. And
• 0:24
  of course, we believe in his ability to intervene.

  Then we can stop fretting, which frankly is exhausting.
• 0:30
  I've seen people turn the need for a 99 cent
• 0:34
  part into a life or death matter by letting it
• 0:36
  go on for months because they were too freaked
• 0:38
  out or scared as to how much it would actually
• 0:40
  cost. There's a lot more to it. But that's the
• 0:43
  burden bearing that first comes to mind, perhaps
• 0:46
  because I have both experienced it and regularly.

  needed it. Thank you, Jesus, for intervening
• 0:52
  for us and carrying our burdens. I pray, Lord,

  that those of us, those within the sound of my
• 0:59
  voice, will come to you and say, Lord, help me.
