- 1:55Speaker 7: Come come out.
- 1:59Speaker 6: You think that?
- 2:01Speaker 3: Uh?
- 2:02Speaker 6: I sure will? Hey, good morning everybody. You're listening to
- 2:05Speaker 6: the voice, Come on, dig me now one it only
- 2:08Speaker 6: Steve Harvey got a radio show. I've been saying it
- 2:13Speaker 6: like that since I got it too. All right, got
- 2:17Speaker 6: a good one for you today. Yesterday the other day,
- 2:19Speaker 6: I was talking to you about the most effective weapon
- 2:22Speaker 6: available to us as human beings, I think is prayer.
- 2:25Speaker 6: I think prayer helps us in so many ways. But
- 2:29Speaker 6: right now, what I want to do is I want
- 2:32Speaker 6: to show you how prayer pays off. I want to
- 2:36Speaker 6: show you what good it can do for you. Even me,
- 2:38Speaker 6: I use it every day, and the days I don't
- 2:42Speaker 6: use it, I feel it that that, you know, the
- 2:45Speaker 6: days that I go, you know, without talking to him
- 2:48Speaker 6: as much, I notice it. I feel it. I feel
- 2:50Speaker 6: a certain kind of way, you know, those that doubt
- 2:55Speaker 6: starts slipping in again, that uneasy feeling of uncertainty slips
- 2:59Speaker 6: in again, and that wondering what I'm gonna do start
- 3:02Speaker 6: slipping in again. Happens to me, It happens everybody. Man,
- 3:05Speaker 6: I think, I really, really do you know, if people
- 3:07Speaker 6: would just keep it real with each other, stop being
- 3:11Speaker 6: this Christian this superman, because you ain't you ain't. There's
- 3:16Speaker 6: a scripture that says that's none perfect, no, not one.
- 3:22Speaker 6: That's everybody that cover all of us thought it. So
- 3:26Speaker 6: sometimes I think we're a little too hard on each
- 3:28Speaker 6: other with that too, Seeing that's how we not perfect,
- 3:32Speaker 6: we immediately want to just just oh man, you just
- 3:36Speaker 6: want to kill when we find somebody do something wrong.
- 3:38Speaker 6: Bell If we go public, everything go public now it
- 3:41Speaker 6: calls social media. But anyway, I just want to talk
- 3:44Speaker 6: to you about how prayer pays off. It's called it
- 3:48Speaker 6: all eye and money. People got money, call it all eyes.
- 3:52Speaker 6: So return on investment. People always looking for a return
- 3:55Speaker 6: on investment. You know, nobody, nobody in business really gives
- 3:59Speaker 6: you money without understanding the return on investment. They don't
- 4:03Speaker 6: even give money to charities unless they think it can
- 4:07Speaker 6: do something with the bottom line. A lot of companies
- 4:10Speaker 6: work like that. I found out out myself. Sad, but
- 4:13Speaker 6: it is true. So since everything is expected to work
- 4:17Speaker 6: on a return on investment, I assume because we're human beings.
- 4:20Speaker 6: So since we are human beings, whether you're in business
- 4:24Speaker 6: or not, you still in the business of living. I
- 4:28Speaker 6: think when you pray, you should expect a return on
- 4:32Speaker 6: your investment. You talk to him, you spend time opening
- 4:37Speaker 6: up to him, you bowed your head to him, you
- 4:41Speaker 6: humbled yourself, you got on your knees. I mean, but
- 4:45Speaker 6: really we talking God here. So really, what you're doing
- 4:48Speaker 6: ain't really about nothing. Be honest with you. A little
- 4:50Speaker 6: bit that you do do on his behalf, it just
- 4:54Speaker 6: pales in comparison with what he does. But let's just
- 4:57Speaker 6: say you want to call yourself invested, Well, let me
- 5:01Speaker 6: show you how it pays off. This because see for me,
- 5:04Speaker 6: this is for me. Now, prayer pays off in different ways.
- 5:07Speaker 6: That's what I had to learn. See, I was praying,
- 5:10Speaker 6: but I was asking him specifically for what I wanted.
- 5:14Speaker 6: I had the audacity, though, to turn around and tell
- 5:17Speaker 6: him how to do what I wanted. That's amazing. Man.
- 5:20Speaker 6: I can't tell you how many blessings I block come
- 5:23Speaker 6: in my way by putting my faith in what I
- 5:26Speaker 6: said I wanted and how I wanted him to do it.
- 5:29Speaker 6: I want you to give me this. I want that
- 5:32Speaker 6: person to go away. I want this person to accept
- 5:36Speaker 6: everything you say. Then I want to go over here
- 5:39Speaker 6: and I want this deal to happen like this, and
- 5:41Speaker 6: I want that person to just step aside and let
- 5:45Speaker 6: me through. And then I want that I was I
- 5:47Speaker 6: had it mapped out. God must have been chuckling really hard.
- 5:52Speaker 6: He had been gonna, boy, I made you to be funny.
- 5:54Speaker 6: But boy, you funny now. So you're gonna tell me
- 5:56Speaker 6: how to do it. And you've all heard this right here.
- 5:59Speaker 6: If you want to make God laugh telling me your playing, well,
- 6:02Speaker 6: that's what I did. And that's how we pray. A
- 6:04Speaker 6: lot of times we pray, and we pray. In the prayer,
- 6:08Speaker 6: we're telling him how to work it out. Well, here's
- 6:12Speaker 6: the deal. This is what I've learned. Prayer pays off
- 6:15Speaker 6: in different ways. There's a different return of my investment
- 6:18Speaker 6: when I pray. See, sometimes when I'm praying for something,
- 6:23Speaker 6: a situation to dissolve itself or go away, sometimes I
- 6:28Speaker 6: get courage out of the prayer. Prayer provides me courage.
- 6:33Speaker 6: That's just to go on and look at it. I
- 6:37Speaker 6: guess face it.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Then.
- 6:40Speaker 6: Sometimes when I'm praying about a situation, sometimes prayer gives
- 6:46Speaker 6: me hanging power. Sometimes, man, it just I look up
- 6:50Speaker 6: and I'm just handling it better. Sometimes prayer gives you
- 6:54Speaker 6: laughing off power. Sometimes, man, you just got to laugh
- 6:59Speaker 6: it off whatever, man, you trip it? Do you know
- 7:05Speaker 6: what that is? If you could do that?
- 7:08Speaker 7: You know.
- 7:09Speaker 6: Sometimes it gives you a show of strength power. Sometimes
- 7:15Speaker 6: prayer allows you to have the appearance that you got
- 7:18Speaker 6: it all together. Nobody got to know the world winning
- 7:22Speaker 6: the tornado, the hurricane that's swirling in your life, You
- 7:26Speaker 6: standing over that like the eye the hurricane, you just
- 7:28Speaker 6: and it's all swirling around you. But you standing there
- 7:31Speaker 6: like the eye, you just as calm. That's what prayer does.
- 7:35Speaker 6: So when you pray, man, it builds up a lot
- 7:38Speaker 6: of things in you. You know what it's done for me.
- 7:41Speaker 6: Prayer has built up character in me. It's made me
- 7:44Speaker 6: have more character because I'm able to stand stronger on
- 7:48Speaker 6: the things I say because I've been praying, because I've
- 7:52Speaker 6: been asking God for all of those return of investments.
- 7:55Speaker 6: I've been asking God for courage. I've been asking God
- 7:59Speaker 6: for hanging that. I've been asking him to give me
- 8:01Speaker 6: the power to walk away. I've asked him to give
- 8:04Speaker 6: me ignored power. I've asked him to help me laugh
- 8:07Speaker 6: it off. I've asked him to show me strength. But
- 8:09Speaker 6: you know what I was doing, I was really praying,
- 8:11Speaker 6: not really for them things be real with you. I
- 8:14Speaker 6: was asking him to help me. Lord, help me. You
- 8:17Speaker 6: ever done that? You have asked God for help, and
- 8:19Speaker 6: then all of a sudden, the list of these things
- 8:21Speaker 6: show up. See, sometimes how you want the problem to
- 8:24Speaker 6: be solved ain't the best way. There's a lesson to
- 8:27Speaker 6: be learned when we make mistakes. And sometimes you got
- 8:30Speaker 6: to stay in that fire and you got to learn
- 8:32Speaker 6: that lesson. But guess what, though, when you come out
- 8:35Speaker 6: of it, you're gonna be better for it. You gonna
- 8:38Speaker 6: know more about it. Come on, y'all, pray. He's solid.
- 8:42Speaker 6: His word is true, It lasts forever. He do what
- 8:44Speaker 6: he said he gonna do now all day, all night,
- 8:49Speaker 6: twenty four seven. He do it all day, all night,
- 8:52Speaker 6: and then some more. His word don't ever change. It's true.
- 8:55Speaker 6: It works for me. It worked for you. It worked
- 8:59Speaker 6: for Jake's, for Old Steam, it worked for Kirk Franklin.
- 9:03Speaker 6: It worked for Paula White, It worked for Billy Graham,
- 9:07Speaker 6: It worked for Mother Teresa. It worked for Gandhy, It
- 9:11Speaker 6: worked for the Princess Arabs. It worked, man, it worked
- 9:16Speaker 6: for you. What you're waiting for? Why don't you put
- 9:20Speaker 6: prayer in your game? Watch what happened to you? You
- 9:22Speaker 6: sitting in that jail cell and you struggling with it,
- 9:25Speaker 6: and they telling you blood in, blood out, you can't
- 9:28Speaker 6: get in you. That's foolishness, man, What you mean God
- 9:31Speaker 6: can get you out of anything. Look, man, if you
- 9:34Speaker 6: done read your Bible, he'd got some people lot some
- 9:36Speaker 6: sticky situations. I don't know what you're talking about. If
- 9:38Speaker 6: Daniel was in the lions den and Jonah was in
- 9:41Speaker 6: the belly of the whale, what you're talking about? Where
- 9:43Speaker 6: you are? You just sitting in the cell with some
- 9:44Speaker 6: dudes around, You're talking about what they gonna do? Man,
- 9:46Speaker 6: you gotta be real. God can't nothing to do nothing.
- 9:49Speaker 6: Nobody can't nobody do nothing to you. God won't give
- 9:53Speaker 6: you the strength to handle prayer change his things.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Man, you're listening Morning Show the horns would be blowing
- 10:03Speaker 1: right now.
- 10:04Speaker 6: It would be to the tune of Dunt Dad, That's
- 10:07Speaker 6: what it would do. But we don't have horns, and
- 10:10Speaker 6: I don't feel like being a horn. This is the
- 10:13Speaker 6: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, starting this morning show with
- 10:18Speaker 6: I've decided to start it with what do you call it?
- 10:24Speaker 6: You know, when you disagree with yourself, when you have
- 10:29Speaker 6: conflicting remarks or contrary statements like good morning everybody? Well,
- 10:36Speaker 6: what's good about it? How's it going over there? It
- 10:41Speaker 6: ain't so what you got going on today? Man? I
- 10:46Speaker 6: just can't get nothing cracking my way. If you start
- 10:49Speaker 6: your day like that, you start your day the wrong way.
- 10:52Speaker 6: Here's a suggestion. How about this right here? How you
- 10:55Speaker 6: feeling today? I feel absolutely wonderful? Man? What you got
- 10:59Speaker 6: going on today? I'm blessed in hoghly favor. Whatever God
- 11:02Speaker 6: showed me up with today, I'm gonna hall it and
- 11:04Speaker 6: love it and appreciate it. Hey, man, what's going on
- 11:07Speaker 6: with you? Everything? I expect nothing but goodness and grace today.
- 11:11Speaker 6: That's how you start today? You're talking about I woke
- 11:14Speaker 6: up on the wrong side of the bed. No, you ain't.
- 11:17Speaker 6: As long as you get up Either side of that
- 11:18Speaker 6: bed is just fine. The problem is in morning that
- 11:21Speaker 6: you don't get out that bed. That's the problem. The
- 11:24Speaker 6: problem is not what side of the bed. The problem
- 11:27Speaker 6: is you don't get out the bed. I'm grateful today
- 11:29Speaker 6: I got up on the right side because whatever side
- 11:32Speaker 6: I got up on, that's the side I'm on. And
- 11:34Speaker 6: it's pretty good to me. Now. That's how we starting

- 15:12Speaker 11: What the cross I that live across the hall told
- 15:16Speaker 11: you what ma'am.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Listen, all I know is he said he live in
- 15:20Speaker 2: apartment eighty. He lived next door to you. You live
- 15:22Speaker 2: in a supposedly apartment seven age right here in Cambridge

- 15:26Speaker 7: Now, all I'm.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Saying is he told me your car is that which
- 15:30Speaker 2: is the light blue car hit my backed into my car.

- 15:34Speaker 2: Create no problem, but somebody got to fix my car.
- 15:36Speaker 2: I got light blue scratches on my bens.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Uh.
- 15:40Speaker 11: Last I checked my light blue clamoring. Wasn't the only
- 15:43Speaker 11: light blue camera they made?
- 15:45Speaker 6: Ma'am?
- 15:45Speaker 2: You the only light you the only light blue car
- 15:48Speaker 2: in the parking.
- 15:49Speaker 11: The only light blue car in the parking lot right now.
- 15:53Speaker 11: I ain't gonna say I've been the only light blue
- 15:55Speaker 11: car in the damn parking lot.
- 15:57Speaker 6: Ma'am, I'm not.
- 16:00Speaker 11: Up and I'm in the middle of watching te What
- 16:03Speaker 11: can I do for you?
- 16:04Speaker 6: What you mean?
- 16:04Speaker 7: What can you do for me? You didn't hit my car?
- 16:06Speaker 11: He he ain't touch your damn car. If you got
- 16:08Speaker 11: some cameras out in this parking line that saw me hit.
- 16:11Speaker 7: Your car, no, I don't have no cameras.
- 16:13Speaker 11: But then I believe this conversation is over, and I
- 16:18Speaker 11: don't give a damn what the cross eyed man across
- 16:20Speaker 11: the hall told you.
- 16:21Speaker 7: Look, let me tell you something. You didn't hit my car.
- 16:25Speaker 4: Hold on, hold on, player?
- 16:27Speaker 11: Uh is you yelling at me?
- 16:29Speaker 6: I'm not yelling at you, but you hit my car to.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Touch your damn the only light blue car in the
- 16:35Speaker 3: parking lone.
- 16:36Speaker 11: The only light blue car in the parking lot. Now
- 16:39Speaker 11: and as a matter of correct, my car ain't even
- 16:41Speaker 11: in the parking lot. My sister bar my car go
- 16:43Speaker 11: to the stove.
- 16:44Speaker 6: Well, is it possible that your sister is the.
- 16:46Speaker 7: One that hit my car?
- 16:47Speaker 6: Now?
- 16:48Speaker 4: Now?
- 16:49Speaker 3: What?
- 16:49Speaker 7: Okay? Is your sister when is she coming back?
- 16:52Speaker 6: Maybe?
- 16:52Speaker 7: She hit my car and didn't tell you she hit
- 16:54Speaker 7: my car.
- 16:54Speaker 11: Now, she ain't hit your car. She ain't hit your car,
- 16:57Speaker 11: because she would have told me she hit your godamn car. Look,
- 17:01Speaker 11: I said, ain't nobody hit your damn car. My car
- 17:04Speaker 11: ain't got no damn scratches on it. Don't give us
- 17:09Speaker 11: what kind of scratches you got on your car. But
- 17:12Speaker 11: I can't do a damn thing about it. And even
- 17:14Speaker 11: if you did, let me just be clear, I ain't
- 17:16Speaker 11: got no insurance, no way, so I can't do nothing
- 17:19Speaker 11: for you.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Let me tell you something you ain't got.
- 17:22Speaker 11: To tell me. You ain't got to telling me. Thanks,
- 17:25Speaker 11: And as far as I'm concerned, this conversation is over.
- 17:28Speaker 7: Wait, let me ask you how hung call it back.
- 17:34Speaker 6: Mister.
- 17:35Speaker 11: You act like I ain't got your No, you had
- 17:43Speaker 11: them scratches on your car all ready, and you ain't
- 17:46Speaker 11: finna use me as non excuse to get you no
- 17:50Speaker 11: new papers.
- 17:50Speaker 7: I had no scratches already on my car.
- 17:52Speaker 11: Yeah you had them, Oh yeah, you had no idea.
- 17:54Speaker 11: I'm gonna tell them an insurance of Justin if he
- 17:57Speaker 11: come over here now, because you gonna be using your insurance.

- 44:40Speaker 6: This right here is Gym's Gyms g E M S.
- 44:44Speaker 2: That's God's Eyes Ministry cat Dog.
- 44:49Speaker 6: If you would.
- 44:51Speaker 2: Hello Hello, I'm trying to read Clarence Clarence. How you doing, Clarence,
- 44:57Speaker 2: This is statist man. I'm over at the church man,
- 45:00Speaker 2: Baptist church where you're a member of right, Oh yeah, hey, okay, hey,
- 45:05Speaker 2: I'm with the gyms man and uh you you you
- 45:08Speaker 2: actually came to uh this past service. Correct gyms the gyms,
- 45:14Speaker 2: that's that's uh God's Eyes missionary and and basically what
- 45:20Speaker 2: we do is we watch what's going on you know
- 45:23Speaker 2: in the in the church, who's coming, who hasn't come?
- 45:27Speaker 2: And uh you know, I don't mean any harm, but
- 45:30Speaker 2: this this if my records indicate me right through my
- 45:34Speaker 2: God's Eyes ministry the gyms looking at my books, looks
- 45:38Speaker 2: like you this is your first time at the church
- 45:40Speaker 2: this year?
- 45:41Speaker 6: Correct?
- 45:42Speaker 10: Yeah, I mean what can I do for you?
- 45:44Speaker 6: Okay?
- 45:45Speaker 2: Now, when Pastor asked for all the visitors to stand,
- 45:47Speaker 2: you actually did not stand?
- 45:49Speaker 7: Correct no, because you remember there we go.
- 45:53Speaker 2: Now you you still work for uh you you you
- 45:57Speaker 2: work for them? Yeah, okay. Now what we've done is
- 46:00Speaker 2: we've averaged it out that you.
- 46:01Speaker 10: What what I mean, what is this about?
- 46:04Speaker 7: Okay, I'm on my way to it.
- 46:06Speaker 2: So so you probably are you averaging about what between
- 46:10Speaker 2: forty and fifty thousand dollars on a yearly basis.
- 46:13Speaker 9: Over there with I mean, I mean, yeah, something like that.
- 46:15Speaker 7: But go ahead, well see what we're looking at.
- 46:19Speaker 2: Since since you are member, because see you did not
- 46:21Speaker 2: stand when he said all members said, you did not
- 46:24Speaker 2: stand up, which which you right there are making the
- 46:28Speaker 2: you know, you're you're you're clarifying that you are a member,
- 46:31Speaker 2: and you making about we're gonna roughly say about forty
- 46:34Speaker 2: five thousand dollars a year, which means ten percent in
- 46:36Speaker 2: forty five hundred. Now we looked at the we looked
- 46:40Speaker 2: at the books and noticed that you put in fifty
- 46:43Speaker 2: dollars in the church on this past Easter on Sunday. Now,
- 46:47Speaker 2: if you put fifty dollars in, you know we're close.
- 46:50Speaker 2: See when you're gonna start cutting into this forty five
- 46:53Speaker 2: hundred dollars that you are to be paying your tithes.
- 46:56Speaker 10: Wait, what's your name?
- 46:58Speaker 2: Like I said, sir, my name is sat Is. That
- 47:00Speaker 2: is will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed me?
- 47:03Speaker 2: Well see you you you you are Wait.
- 47:08Speaker 10: A minute, hold on, hold a second. You got you
- 47:10Speaker 10: got all this stuff going on to the church. You
- 47:12Speaker 10: you got uh uh, you got hungry people you got
- 47:15Speaker 10: people that need salvation and whatever. But you calling me
- 47:19Speaker 10: about about some money that I haven't given to the church.
- 47:22Speaker 7: Well, well see, and.
- 47:23Speaker 10: That's what your ministry does, y'all. Y'all spend all morning
- 47:26Speaker 10: calling people.
- 47:27Speaker 2: My job, sir, as a gem God's eyes ministry. My
- 47:32Speaker 2: job is to keep an eye on what's going on
- 47:36Speaker 2: at the church. Now, when are you gonna start cutting
- 47:39Speaker 2: into your tie? You forty five hundred dollars a day?
- 47:41Speaker 2: We see, this is why we can't get the extra
- 47:44Speaker 2: wing that pastor wants to put on, because people like you.
- 47:47Speaker 3: This is why you know what.
- 47:50Speaker 10: Man, you got to hold on a second, first of all,
- 47:53Speaker 10: let me explain something to your brother, fatty, yourself, whatever
- 47:56Speaker 10: the ministry you are with. Okay, that's fine. Hey, I
- 48:01Speaker 10: don't even have to explain this to you, But let
- 48:02Speaker 10: me explain something to me. All right. This is a
- 48:05Speaker 10: one job household. This is all we do. This is
- 48:08Speaker 10: the one job household. My wife don't work, but my
- 48:10Speaker 10: wife comes to church every Sunday and she pays the
- 48:14Speaker 10: tithes that have you checked at the gym ministry? Have
- 48:17Speaker 10: y'all looked at her ties?
- 48:18Speaker 2: Her ties ain't got nothing to do with you. You understand
- 48:23Speaker 2: you have to pay your ties. Will a man rob God?
- 48:28Speaker 2: Yet you have robbed? You are robbing the Lord of
- 48:33Speaker 2: Brother Claris.
- 48:34Speaker 10: You know what?
- 48:35Speaker 11: Man?
- 48:35Speaker 10: You know?
- 48:35Speaker 9: That's you know?
- 48:36Speaker 10: And you wonder why people don't come to church all
- 48:38Speaker 10: the time. You know how you're gonna tell me that
- 48:39Speaker 10: I rob I could be giving my tie somewhere else.
- 48:42Speaker 7: I am the secretary.
- 48:43Speaker 2: I am the Gem's secretary of God's eyes ministry. And
- 48:46Speaker 2: my eyes have shown me that you've only given fifty dollars.
- 48:50Speaker 6: You're making forty five five one.
- 48:51Speaker 10: Dollars somebody from the church. I don't know if that
- 48:56Speaker 10: is something. I'll tell you us.
- 48:59Speaker 6: Who you say? Who is? Yes?
- 49:01Speaker 10: I half, but that's not none of their business. I know,
- 49:04Speaker 10: I know, I know. What does it have to do
- 49:06Speaker 10: with him calling people and asking them.
- 49:08Speaker 3: If they're payings?
- 49:09Speaker 10: I got this, I got this. Let me lem me
- 49:11Speaker 10: handle h.
- 49:12Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, I got it.
- 49:12Speaker 10: I got it, I got it, I got it. I
- 49:14Speaker 10: got I know.
- 49:15Speaker 7: I know, I don't who whoo whoo? Who who was that, sir?
- 49:19Speaker 10: That's my wife that's been paying. That's my wife I'm paying.
- 49:21Speaker 10: I died, that's right.
- 49:22Speaker 2: Oh okay, I don't have nothing in my books that
- 49:28Speaker 2: say y'all paid three hundred dollars.

- 49:35Speaker 2: Let me ask you this, When are you gonna start
- 49:38Speaker 2: cutting into this forty five with a man rob god?
- 49:42Speaker 2: Yet you have robbed me. That is what you are doing, sir.
- 49:46Speaker 10: Well you know what you robbing me right now? You

- 50:31Speaker 2: do come to church, we're gonna pat you down because
- 50:34Speaker 2: we're gonna have to figure out.
- 50:35Speaker 10: Oh hold on, you're gonna pat me down the next
- 50:38Speaker 10: time I.

- 54:40Speaker 1: likes things a certain way, down to his sexual experiences
- 54:44Speaker 1: that can be intimidating for any woman, but he was
- 54:47Speaker 1: my equal, and in fact, by the time we got divorced,
- 54:51Speaker 1: I brought home more of the bacon than he did.
- 54:53Speaker 1: I found out he cheated on me, and I was
- 54:55Speaker 1: fine with leaving because our marriage had run its course.
- 54:59Speaker 1: I was ready to go. He married the woman he
- 55:02Speaker 1: was cheating with. So she entered the marriage with heavy guilt.
- 55:06Speaker 1: She called and we had a face to face meeting
- 55:08Speaker 1: and I told her I forgive her and I told
- 55:11Speaker 1: her to live her life. That was almost two years ago.
- 55:15Speaker 1: The other day I got another call from her and
- 55:18Speaker 1: she left a message asking for advice. I called her
- 55:22Speaker 1: and we talked for an hour. She said my ex
- 55:24Speaker 1: told her that I was the ultimate lover and that
- 55:28Speaker 1: I did everything around the house just the way he
- 55:31Speaker 1: likes it. He suggested that she call me and maybe
- 55:34Speaker 1: come by my house to see how I keep things
- 55:36Speaker 1: in order here. I told her that would never happen,
- 55:40Speaker 1: and I advised her to stand up to my ex
- 55:43Speaker 1: and stop letting him compare her to me. This woman
- 55:47Speaker 1: asked me about detailed sexual positions that my ex and
- 55:50Speaker 1: I used to do, and I had to remind her
- 55:53Speaker 1: that she took him from me by having an affair,
- 55:56Speaker 1: so she should do whatever she did back then. She's
- 56:01Speaker 1: all upset and told my ex that I'm bitter. He's
- 56:04Speaker 1: on board with her bs. I cannot block them because
- 56:07Speaker 1: of the children. How should I deal with them? Well,
- 56:10Speaker 1: first of all, I got to say I love you,
- 56:14Speaker 1: I really do. You are one heck of a woman.
- 56:18Speaker 1: I don't know any woman who would be as nice
- 56:20Speaker 1: and accommodating to the other woman, to the woman who
- 56:23Speaker 1: stole her husband. It says you're mature, You've got class,
- 56:27Speaker 1: You've gotten over the pain that the affair must have caused.
- 56:31Speaker 1: It says that you're a grown woman. Even though you
- 56:34Speaker 1: said the marriage had run its course and you were
- 56:36Speaker 1: ready to go, that was the last straw that ended it.
- 56:40Speaker 1: The former side chicken now wife has a lot a
- 56:43Speaker 1: lot of nerve calling you. I thought your response to
- 56:46Speaker 1: her to do what she did back then when she
- 56:48Speaker 1: asked you about how to please her husband was brilliant.
- 56:51Speaker 1: I told you, I really like you. You could have
- 56:54Speaker 1: laughed at her, you could have cussed her out all
- 56:57Speaker 1: kinds of things, but you kept it really cute. I
- 57:00Speaker 1: like that she was stupid to even ask you, and
- 57:03Speaker 1: really dumb to think that you would tell her she
- 57:06Speaker 1: took your husband, and now she wants to know from
- 57:10Speaker 1: you how to keep him.
- 57:11Speaker 3: M M.
- 57:13Speaker 1: I think this has to be a first hunt Steve
- 57:15Speaker 1: and Strawberry letter history. Lady, You've dealt with this whole
- 57:22Speaker 1: situation like a queen. That's all I can say to you.
- 57:25Speaker 1: Enough is enough, though, and how do you deal with this?
- 57:28Speaker 1: You ask you have to stop taking her phone calls.
- 57:30Speaker 1: You have to tell your husband to stop encouraging her
- 57:33Speaker 1: to call you, and only deal with him when it
- 57:37Speaker 1: comes to the kids. Don't deal with them when it
- 57:39Speaker 1: comes to their marriage. They're treating you like their marriage
- 57:42Speaker 1: counselor or something. You got to shut them down right now, Steve, Yeah.
- 57:46Speaker 6: Great answer, Shelley. In the words ab out Forever, first
- 57:50Speaker 6: Lady Michelle Obama, when they go low, we go high.
- 57:58Speaker 6: I've always admired that about First Leddy Obama. I really did.
- 58:04Speaker 6: I don't really live my life like that all the time.
- 58:09Speaker 6: I do sometimes, but in this case, right here, you've
- 58:13Speaker 6: already taken the high road. I think it's time to
- 58:15Speaker 6: dip right on down there on that road she hung.
- 58:18Speaker 6: So here go my answer to the letter your divorced
- 58:22Speaker 6: mother too, forty six year old. You had a great
- 58:24Speaker 6: coparative relationship with your ex, and you was friendly with
- 58:28Speaker 6: his new wife, and your children liked her. But then
- 58:30Speaker 6: your sixty year old found out and made the announcement
- 58:33Speaker 6: that you think the step mama got low self esteem
- 58:37Speaker 6: kind of tickle you to the court that a child
- 58:39Speaker 6: had peaked this behavior. Now, your ex husband is a
- 58:43Speaker 6: really established man, right, and he likes things a certain
- 58:46Speaker 6: way down to his sexual experiences. And then you said
- 58:51Speaker 6: that can be intimidating for any woman. So I don't
- 58:53Speaker 6: know what homeboy required that made this potentially intimidating. But
- 59:00Speaker 6: then you said he met his match when he came
- 59:02Speaker 6: to you. So what you wanna do, Let's go lift
- 59:07Speaker 6: your leg up. You lift your leg up, being back here,
- 59:11Speaker 6: you being back here. So now y'all was just in
- 59:14Speaker 6: there doing the aerobic gymnastic love it with a little
- 59:19Speaker 6: bit of jiu jitsu wrestling in it and Roman Greco.
- 59:24Speaker 6: So now y'all was in there doing the damn most
- 59:27Speaker 6: just in there UFC cage fighting, and I was. And
- 59:32Speaker 6: then you ended up by the end of the divorce.
- 59:35Speaker 6: By that time, y'all got rid of get you was
- 59:37Speaker 6: bringing home more bacon than he did. Then you found
- 59:40Speaker 6: out he cheated on you, and you was fine with
- 59:42Speaker 6: leaving because your marriage had run its course and you
- 59:44Speaker 6: was ready to go. But he married the woman that
- 59:49Speaker 6: he was cheating with. Then you say, so she entered
- 59:53Speaker 6: the marriage with heavy guilt. She called you one day
- 59:57Speaker 6: y'all had a face to face meeting. You told her
- 59:59Speaker 6: you forgive her and I told her to live her life.
- 1:00:04Speaker 6: She actually did you a favor at the time because
- 1:00:06Speaker 6: he had run his course and he was a cheater. He'
- 1:00:09Speaker 6: the likes thing done. All this sudden when he had
- 1:00:11Speaker 6: everything in you, but he wanted something else. But then
- 1:00:14Speaker 6: you got enough call from him. She left a message.
- 1:00:16Speaker 6: She was asking for some advice. Now this is curious letting.
- 1:00:19Speaker 6: So after we come back, I will tell you what
- 1:00:22Speaker 6: advice she wanted, what I think you should have done.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: Yeah, hang on, we'll have part two of Steve's response
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: to today's Strawberry letter. My ex's new wife needs advice, and
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: we'll get into that at twenty three minutes after the
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: hour right after this. You're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: All right, Steve, come on, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: My ex's new wife needs advice.
- 1:00:47Speaker 6: This lady had a marriage. Her ex husband was rather
- 1:00:50Speaker 6: demanding order in the house, sexual experiences, and she was
- 1:00:56Speaker 6: tired of him anyway, so the marriage had run his course.
- 1:00:58Speaker 6: He found she found out she cheated on him, so
- 1:01:01Speaker 6: she was ready for the marriage in anyway. She was
- 1:01:03Speaker 6: ready to go. But the woman the woman he was
- 1:01:06Speaker 6: cheating with. He ended up marrying her. Now they have
- 1:01:10Speaker 6: a relationship. Because the woman felt guilty called at one
- 1:01:14Speaker 6: time to apologize, I guess or something like that, and
- 1:01:18Speaker 6: then she said, you forget. She forgave the lady and
- 1:01:22Speaker 6: totally gonna live your life now. Recently she got a
- 1:01:25Speaker 6: call and left a message asking for some advice. The
- 1:01:29Speaker 6: new wife. I called her and we talked for an hour.
- 1:01:34Speaker 6: She said, my ex husband told her that I was
- 1:01:36Speaker 6: an ultimate lover and I did everything around the house
- 1:01:39Speaker 6: just the way he liked it, and what you should
- 1:01:41Speaker 6: have did. At that point said yes, I was, I did,
- 1:01:48Speaker 6: And what damn business is it of yours?
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: Now?
- 1:01:50Speaker 6: I know he told you that, But what do you want?
- 1:01:54Speaker 6: He suggested that she called me and maybe come by
- 1:01:56Speaker 6: my house and see how I keep things in order here?
- 1:01:59Speaker 10: What crazy?
- 1:02:03Speaker 6: I would have said it? Come on, but that's all
- 1:02:08Speaker 6: I would have said to work. Come on now, if
- 1:02:11Speaker 6: you can't tell in the tone of my voice that
- 1:02:14Speaker 6: this probably ain't gonna be a safe visit, you probably
- 1:02:18Speaker 6: don't want to without a shit. And she told he
- 1:02:20Speaker 6: told me to come over your house see how things
- 1:02:22Speaker 6: you know? Come on, come on, come on, that's all
- 1:02:28Speaker 6: I'm gonna keep saying, just come on, And then if
- 1:02:31Speaker 6: she still act like she coming, then I'm gonna have
- 1:02:34Speaker 6: to add something. Bring your ass over here, because see,
- 1:02:41Speaker 6: I don't know where all this goodness coming from. You lady,
- 1:02:43Speaker 6: Like Shirley said, she loved you because you a special lady,
- 1:02:45Speaker 6: but I wouldn't do it. So but she said she
- 1:02:49Speaker 6: wanted to come over and see how things come. And
- 1:02:50Speaker 6: then you told her that that'll never happen. You're not
- 1:02:54Speaker 6: coming over here to see how I do nothing in
- 1:02:56Speaker 6: my house. And then she told her, you ought to
- 1:02:58Speaker 6: stand up to your ex and stop letting him compare
- 1:03:01Speaker 6: you to me. This woman asked me about detailed sexual
- 1:03:05Speaker 6: position that my husband and I used to do, and
- 1:03:07Speaker 6: I had to remind her she took him from me
- 1:03:10Speaker 6: by having an affair. So maybe y'all just do what
- 1:03:12Speaker 6: you did back then. You know, whatever you did, all
- 1:03:15Speaker 6: the tricks you was doing back then, you need to
- 1:03:17Speaker 6: bring him back up. You need to come over these
- 1:03:20Speaker 6: new tricks. But what i'd have did was i'd have
- 1:03:22Speaker 6: told her what he liked. Since she need advice, i'da
- 1:03:28Speaker 6: gave her information, like when he's looking in the refrigerator.
- 1:03:32Speaker 6: He loves it when you bust him upside the back
- 1:03:34Speaker 6: of his head with a broom, he loved it. Then
- 1:03:38Speaker 6: turned it around and kiss him real hard. Girl. She
- 1:03:41Speaker 6: sure about that girl that used to drive him crazy.
- 1:03:45Speaker 6: The next time you see him in that refrigerator, you
- 1:03:48Speaker 6: bust him outside his head with a broom and then
- 1:03:50Speaker 6: snatch him around real quick and start kissing him. And girl,
- 1:03:54Speaker 6: and watch what happened. Are you sure? Girl, didn't he
- 1:03:58Speaker 6: tell you to call me? I have her doing all
- 1:04:01Speaker 6: kinds of stuff. Girl, you know what he really loves.
- 1:04:05Speaker 6: He really loved like if he laying in the bed
- 1:04:08Speaker 6: for you to take a lit bit of light of fluid,
- 1:04:11Speaker 6: just a little bit, just on the corner of the mattress,
- 1:04:13Speaker 6: and just set the corner of the mattress on fire
- 1:04:15Speaker 6: just a little bit. Did put it out right quick? Girl?
- 1:04:18Speaker 6: That makes him so hot? Ooh, I'm gonna have her
- 1:04:22Speaker 6: in here to just do it. All kinds of house
- 1:04:26Speaker 6: ain't gonna be worth him them. So now you told
- 1:04:30Speaker 6: her you know you A'm just gonna do what you do.
- 1:04:33Speaker 6: When you took him from it, she all upset and
- 1:04:36Speaker 6: told your ex, I'm bitter. Now he's on board with
- 1:04:40Speaker 6: her bs. I cannot block them because of the children.
- 1:04:43Speaker 6: How should I deal with them? You don't have to
- 1:04:46Speaker 6: deal with them. You ain't gotta take her calls you free.
- 1:04:51Speaker 6: Now you ain't got to listen to nothing he's say.
- 1:04:54Speaker 6: We talking about these kids. I don't give a damn
- 1:04:59Speaker 6: what you and that hell for due because you gonna
- 1:05:03Speaker 6: end up cheating on her, just like you did me.
- 1:05:08Speaker 6: Because if you think I was everything, and you telling
- 1:05:10Speaker 6: her she ain't everything, then your next move is to
- 1:05:13Speaker 6: go try to find your else, try and find yourself
- 1:05:16Speaker 6: something else. So I already know what's gonna happen right here.
- 1:05:19Speaker 6: I ain't in your business. You didn't want me, and
- 1:05:23Speaker 6: now you don't want her. You gonna run out of
- 1:05:26Speaker 6: women in a minute, homie, because you ain't all that.
- 1:05:30Speaker 6: So I would just I wouldn't worry about nothing. You
- 1:05:32Speaker 6: ain't gotta deal with none of this. What you care about?
- 1:05:36Speaker 6: How she feel about you? She got what you didn't want,
- 1:05:40Speaker 6: no way, So now let her live over there with
- 1:05:43Speaker 6: her miserable ass life trying to be you, and let
- 1:05:47Speaker 6: him regret letting you go to get her, because that's
- 1:05:50Speaker 6: what's really doesn't happen, homeboy, want her to be like
- 1:05:54Speaker 6: you because he realized now he was a better choice.
- 1:05:58Speaker 6: But so now see what we're gonna do. Leave both
- 1:06:01Speaker 6: of them over there in their misery. You ain't got
- 1:06:03Speaker 6: to discuss nothing but them kids. Excuse me, excuse me. Uh,
- 1:06:06Speaker 6: let me talk to the babies. Excuse me, excuse me.
- 1:06:10Speaker 6: They not coming over there this weekend. Excuse me. The
- 1:06:14Speaker 6: kids need some shoes. That's all you got to do, right,
- 1:06:18Speaker 6: That's all you got to do. You got custody of
- 1:06:21Speaker 6: the kids. I don't want you to use them as pawns.
- 1:06:24Speaker 6: That's not what I'm saying. But just deal with the kids.
- 1:06:27Speaker 6: You ain't got to hear none of this foolish How
- 1:06:29Speaker 6: do you have them? You ain't got to block them.
- 1:06:31Speaker 6: He on board that bs. Remind him of what he
- 1:06:33Speaker 6: did see me and don't like to be reminded. Just
- 1:06:36Speaker 6: remind you home.
- 1:06:38Speaker 7: Excuse me, excuse me.
- 1:06:39Speaker 6: You be on board with that health all you want,
- 1:06:41Speaker 6: that's the one you picked, you slept with in your
- 1:06:43Speaker 6: mad Now live with us. Don't ask me nothing else
- 1:06:47Speaker 6: about this dusty health.

- 1:07:05Speaker 1: Junior and Sports Talk, which you got junior.
- 1:07:08Speaker 8: NBA playoff basketball boys getting heated around here. Now, man,
- 1:07:11Speaker 8: did you see his UNC Dylan Brooks trash talking Lebron.
- 1:07:14Speaker 7: James after the Wind the other day?

- 1:07:47Speaker 6: out of Memphis can't even play basketball like Lebron right now,
- 1:07:55Speaker 6: and then in the same league, you ask anybody on
- 1:08:00Speaker 6: earth would you rather have Dylan Brooks or Lebron James
- 1:08:04Speaker 6: and watch what happened? Yeah?
- 1:08:07Speaker 7: Yeah, So we got to just take a pole.
- 1:08:10Speaker 6: I don't even know these some of these young guys. Man,
- 1:08:13Speaker 6: they're so arrogant. Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, it was. It was.

- 1:08:29Speaker 6: was playing the Celtics and he wasn't getting back on den.
- 1:08:33Speaker 6: He looked a little tired that game and said, I
- 1:08:35Speaker 6: just think he's old. He just doesn't have it anymore.
- 1:08:38Speaker 6: They talked about him like a dog. Then the next game,
- 1:08:42Speaker 6: kareem up dude the bar? Whoa they ad?
- 1:08:49Speaker 8: You know, but you know Lebron ain't saying this. Lebron
- 1:08:51Speaker 8: handled like you known. Man, he ain't knowing all that.
- 1:08:54Speaker 6: Man.
- 1:08:54Speaker 7: But let's get to it up tonight.
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: Man.

- 1:11:18Speaker 6: I just love listening to you because it's like listening
