- 1:47Speaker 2: The water up?
- 1:49Speaker 7: Looking me, come.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Come out, You'll think, ah huh, I sure will. Good
- 2:03Speaker 2: morning everybody. You are listening to the voice, come on
- 2:06Speaker 2: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey ha got
- 2:10Speaker 2: a radio show you know today I was thinking of
- 2:14Speaker 2: what I would say today and it just dawned on
- 2:17Speaker 2: me this way, and I just want to share this
- 2:18Speaker 2: with everybody listening. You've got to get some help to
- 2:22Speaker 2: make it through life. I cannot imagine where I would
- 2:26Speaker 2: be if it was not for the help of my God,
- 2:30Speaker 2: if it wasn't for his grace and mercy, if I
- 2:33Speaker 2: did not have the ability to lean on him and
- 2:37Speaker 2: all the times I've had to lean on him, which
- 2:40Speaker 2: has become a daily basis. I have no idea where
- 2:43Speaker 2: I would be, but clearly I know for a matter
- 2:46Speaker 2: of fact, I would not be here today. You have
- 2:49Speaker 2: got to get some help to get through this thing
- 2:52Speaker 2: called life. I am begging you to look into it. Man,
- 2:56Speaker 2: you've got to form a relationship with God. Without a
- 2:59Speaker 2: relationship with God, this thing called life is daunting at times.
- 3:03Speaker 2: I don't care who you are. I know I'm speaking
- 3:06Speaker 2: the truth right now, because listen, no matter who you are,
- 3:11Speaker 2: what job title you have, what aspirations you may have,
- 3:15Speaker 2: I don't care what your educational background is or is not.
- 3:19Speaker 2: It does not matter. If you don't get a real
- 3:22Speaker 2: relationship going on with God. I don't see how you
- 3:25Speaker 2: can make it. So many people are faking in fronting
- 3:27Speaker 2: out here like they got it going on, and you
- 3:30Speaker 2: don't know, And you really don't know how many people
- 3:33Speaker 2: that you think in your neighborhood had it going on
- 3:36Speaker 2: because you saw a car pull up in the driveway,
- 3:39Speaker 2: or they house look bigger, or the grass is cutting nicer,
- 3:42Speaker 2: and you only find out that a foreclosure signe on
- 3:45Speaker 2: they house too. See, you don't know. The mask that
- 3:48Speaker 2: people put on to parade around in is for appearance sakes.
- 3:53Speaker 2: So a lot of people you looking at that you
- 3:55Speaker 2: think got it going on. Who might be the pattern
- 3:58Speaker 2: of success that you want to trace? You got to
- 4:00Speaker 2: be real careful with that because it may not be
- 4:03Speaker 2: as it appears to be. But one thing is for sure,
- 4:06Speaker 2: no matter what's going on in your life, I know
- 4:10Speaker 2: that behind whatever mask I'm wearing, or I realized, no
- 4:15Speaker 2: matter what the appearances may be, that on the other
- 4:19Speaker 2: side of me, I'm gonna be just fine. See. You
- 4:22Speaker 2: may be outwardly people hating on you, talking about you,
- 4:27Speaker 2: dragging your name through the mud. Look, man, people can
- 4:30Speaker 2: say stuff about you. Most people talking about you don't
- 4:32Speaker 2: even know you. They just participating in it. You can
- 4:36Speaker 2: have that appearance going on, but behind you, within you,
- 4:40Speaker 2: if you have a relationship with God, it don't matter
- 4:44Speaker 2: because you can be all right. I've seen it get
- 4:47Speaker 2: real stormy on the outside for me, but on the
- 4:49Speaker 2: inside I just had to feel and I was gonna
- 4:52Speaker 2: be all right. See. That's what the relationship gives you, man.
- 4:56Speaker 2: It gives you the confidence to know that the things
- 4:59Speaker 2: that you're going through a temporary that is just the
- 5:02Speaker 2: space that you happen to be in. Like I said
- 5:05Speaker 2: the other day, you got to remember something. The road
- 5:08Speaker 2: to success is always under construction. You might as well
- 5:11Speaker 2: get ready for that if you plan it on changing,
- 5:15Speaker 2: getting better, doing something about your health. If you decide, hey, look,
- 5:19Speaker 2: I just would like to live a longer, more prosperous life,
- 5:23Speaker 2: or hey I want to make X amount of dollars,
- 5:25Speaker 2: or hey man, I'm gonna stop staying out in these
- 5:27Speaker 2: streets and I'm gonna come home and treat my family
- 5:29Speaker 2: way they are to be treated. I don't care what
- 5:31Speaker 2: decision you make. When you strike out on that road
- 5:34Speaker 2: to success, it's under construction, partner. There's barrels out there,
- 5:39Speaker 2: there's wide turns, there's detours. You know, it's being out
- 5:43Speaker 2: there holding signs saying slow down. Sometimes they put the
- 5:47Speaker 2: stop sign up. You got to wait and watch people
- 5:50Speaker 2: go by you on the other side. Then before you
- 5:53Speaker 2: can take off again, you've all been on the road
- 5:56Speaker 2: with construction on it. It can be so frustrating. And
- 5:59Speaker 2: the whole time you on that road, I know, when
- 6:02Speaker 2: I'm on the road we can under construction. I'm always
- 6:05Speaker 2: thinking of an alternative path. I ain't ever set in
- 6:09Speaker 2: traffic under construction, man, and thought of if I get
- 6:13Speaker 2: off on this exit, where would it take me? Not knowing,
- 6:17Speaker 2: but just man, could I keep moving if I go
- 6:19Speaker 2: that way? That's a dangerous thing sometimes, see because oftentimes
- 6:24Speaker 2: when we get off the road to success and we
- 6:26Speaker 2: take that other path, we get further and further off course.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Because wasn't no detools signed for that, Just a decision
- 6:33Speaker 2: I made on my own because I don't like sitting
- 6:35Speaker 2: here sometimes I don't have the patience I ought to have,
- 6:38Speaker 2: so I've taken some what I thought might be shortcuts.
- 6:41Speaker 2: But I got to tell you something, ain't no shortcuts
- 6:43Speaker 2: on the road to success. Even the detour signs wind
- 6:47Speaker 2: up taking you a little bit out your way. And
- 6:49Speaker 2: look background. I remember one time I was coming from
- 6:51Speaker 2: Las Vegas and that was some type of chemical spill
- 6:55Speaker 2: in the truck and you could all most see the
- 7:01Speaker 2: smoke up ahead. It very faint. So they detoreed us
- 7:05Speaker 2: through the desert and we had to go all the
- 7:07Speaker 2: way around, and I drove, man like an hour and
- 7:10Speaker 2: a half out of the way. And when they entered
- 7:13Speaker 2: us back on the freeway where we were to go
- 7:15Speaker 2: back to La soon as I got it that exit
- 7:18Speaker 2: to get back on the freeway, I looked right there
- 7:21Speaker 2: and there the accident was. Now it was an hour
- 7:25Speaker 2: and a half hour forty five all the way around
- 7:28Speaker 2: in that desert to get back to almost the same place,
- 7:33Speaker 2: but it was the best way to go because see,
- 7:36Speaker 2: that was the route to take. And that's what you
- 7:38Speaker 2: got to understand about trying to make the right decision
- 7:41Speaker 2: to be successful. That the road to success is always
- 7:45Speaker 2: under construction. You're gonna have to go round a little bit,
- 7:48Speaker 2: So quis stop being impatient with I don't want to
- 7:51Speaker 2: go around. I'm gonna go this way. You go that
- 7:52Speaker 2: way if you want to just follow the detour science. See,
- 7:55Speaker 2: because somebody that came up this road before. You have
- 7:59Speaker 2: somebody and travel the road already, and they took the
- 8:02Speaker 2: way around, and yeah, it seemed like it's a longer way,
- 8:05Speaker 2: and you want to make that other decision. But stay
- 8:08Speaker 2: on the road to success. It's under construction, man, That's
- 8:12Speaker 2: just the way it goes. Don't lose your patience and
- 8:14Speaker 2: try to create a shortcut for yourself. I'm gonna go away.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Ain't nobody ever gone way? Hold up, Pardoner, you really
- 8:20Speaker 2: think you're gonna do that? Listen. There's oftentimes a lot
- 8:23Speaker 2: of rewards when you go the least travel path, But
- 8:27Speaker 2: the road to success is the least travel path. That's
- 8:30Speaker 2: what you keep getting mixed up. You keep thinking if
- 8:33Speaker 2: you go another way. No, No, stay on the road
- 8:35Speaker 2: to success. That is the least travel path. It's under construction.
- 8:40Speaker 2: You can go out there with your machete if you
- 8:43Speaker 2: want to talking about cutting new trails. You think the
- 8:46Speaker 2: road to success is under construction, take the other route
- 8:50Speaker 2: and get that machete out and see how long you
- 8:52Speaker 2: be out there trying to cut a path. Sometimes, Man,
- 8:56Speaker 2: you just got to stay patient. The road to success
- 8:59Speaker 2: has been traveled before by millions of people in front
- 9:02Speaker 2: of you, everybody that has some setbacks in life. But
- 9:05Speaker 2: don't get off the road to success just because you
- 9:07Speaker 2: having some setbacks, just because you see some orange barrels up,
- 9:11Speaker 2: just because there's some men out there with vest on
- 9:13Speaker 2: what they got to do with you? Everybody, everybody that's
- 9:17Speaker 2: trying to be successful, is on that road. Your relationship
- 9:21Speaker 2: with God helps you guide yourself around the barrels. It
- 9:26Speaker 2: helps you have the patience to go around that way.
- 9:30Speaker 2: He gonna get you back where you gotta be. But
- 9:32Speaker 2: you got to go out there so you can learn
- 9:34Speaker 2: some things. See, you need God to make it in
- 9:37Speaker 2: life because the road to success is always under construction.
- 9:43Speaker 2: He calms you down when the barrels is up. He
- 9:46Speaker 2: lets you know it's gonna be all right. He rewards
- 9:49Speaker 2: you with the patience to finish because he gonna get
- 9:51Speaker 2: you right back where you need to be and you
- 9:53Speaker 2: can get on which way you is going. Okay, all right, y'all,
- 9:56Speaker 2: we're gonna try that today.
- 9:58Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen, the time has come on this song
- 10:11Speaker 2: Special Morning right here. You know, Oh man, I just
- 10:15Speaker 2: feel like that Ti song right now running through the
- 10:19Speaker 2: red light check or flag. I just feel I've watched everything, well,
- 10:26Speaker 2: I watched some TV. I've been entertained and all that
- 10:29Speaker 2: express been great. But you know what, when I look
- 10:31Speaker 2: at everything that's going on around me in this world today,
- 10:35Speaker 2: I can't help us say thank you God. I sure
- 10:37Speaker 2: appreciate you man for keeping me with the measure of
- 10:40Speaker 2: health that I have, for keeping me and closed in
- 10:44Speaker 2: my right mind, for keeping me steady. You ain't let
- 10:47Speaker 2: me sink. Got a little water in my nose, you
- 10:50Speaker 2: know that had to flip over and try to float
- 10:53Speaker 2: for a while. I been I'm tired of tread and water,
- 10:58Speaker 2: got all that. But Lord, God of Mighty, I'm still here.
- 11:01Speaker 2: They ain't got me because you won't let them, and
- 11:03Speaker 2: I appreciate that. Steve Harvin Morning Show, Sharloty Strawberry calling
- 11:08Speaker 2: for Reid, Mississippi, Monica, and the legend that is Nephew
- 11:12Speaker 2: Tommy team. How y'all doing today. I wanna make a
- 11:16Speaker 2: couple of statements I'm gonna have to make throughout the morning.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Good morning, so proud, so proud.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Of the African nations that participated in the World Cup
- 11:30Speaker 2: this year. I heard two statements. I'm gonna make it
- 11:34Speaker 2: a part of my clothes and remarks today, but two
- 11:37Speaker 2: statements that really made me poor even harder for the
- 11:41Speaker 2: African nations. One statement was, first of all, the Italian
- 11:49Speaker 2: coach for the Italian national team, who ain't qualified by
- 11:54Speaker 2: the way in two years, who was fighting so vehemently
- 11:58Speaker 2: to keep the African nation out of the World Cup
- 12:01Speaker 2: because they would diminish and lower the level of talent.
- 12:06Speaker 2: That's what the Italian coach said. The African should not
- 12:10Speaker 2: be allowed to come in and qualify because they will
- 12:13Speaker 2: lower the quality and talent of soccer play that they
- 12:18Speaker 2: play over there in Europe and in the Premier League.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Oh how wrong they were, Oh how wrong they were,
- 12:25Speaker 2: Because Cape Verde, Cordevar, Senegal, South Africa, Egypt, Rocco, all
- 12:36Speaker 2: the boys showed up. And then the second statement that
- 12:39Speaker 2: really irked me, for Senegal was beating England by two
- 12:44Speaker 2: goals all the way up to the eighty fifth minute
- 12:48Speaker 2: and they lost three to two. They got a standing
- 12:51Speaker 2: ovation from the fans. But if an England fan made
- 12:55Speaker 2: me realize how crazy this world is, he said, we
- 13:00Speaker 2: will beat Senegal because we colonized them once and will
- 13:05Speaker 2: colonize them again. I said, man, you can't say nothing
- 13:10Speaker 2: more raised than that. But the African Nations. Boy, they
- 13:13Speaker 2: showed up and Cape Verdi, he played Argentina, the world champs,
- 13:19Speaker 2: all the way to the end, where Messi stood and
- 13:22Speaker 2: did not celebrate with his team, signed his jersey, hugged
- 13:25Speaker 2: the goalie for Cape Verdie and gave it to him
- 13:28Speaker 2: and hugg him and said, man, greatest game I've ever
- 13:30Speaker 2: seen in my life. That was the African Nations. Big
- 13:33Speaker 2: up to y'all, man, I just want to say that
- 13:36Speaker 2: this morning, go ahead.
- 13:37Speaker 8: Nice to the Motherland, all right, coming up at thirty
- 13:41Speaker 8: two minutes after the hour, we will run that prank
- 13:43Speaker 8: back with the nephew. Right after this you're listening Steve

- 14:44Speaker 10: That's that aqua boogie current If you know you know,
- 14:47Speaker 10: let's go ket dol.

- 14:48Speaker 7: Hello, I'm trying to reach a Quincy. Please. This is hey,
- 14:53Speaker 7: how are you? My name is Maurice. Maury's calling you
- 14:56Speaker 7: from the power company. How you doing today?
- 14:58Speaker 11: I lie, what's up?
- 14:59Speaker 7: Well, listen, we're doing some testing in your neighborhood, and uh,
- 15:03Speaker 7: we're we're calling around to quite a few people in
- 15:05Speaker 7: your neighborhood, running some tests on individual homes and making
- 15:09Speaker 7: sure the electricity is running correctly. Can I get you
- 15:12Speaker 7: to do a few things for me and see and
- 15:14Speaker 7: then the quicker we get through with this, sir, and
- 15:16Speaker 7: as possibility, we won't have to turn your power off
- 15:19Speaker 7: at all. I know you don't want us to have
- 15:20Speaker 7: to come out and turn power off. And you got
- 15:22Speaker 7: stuff in your refrigerator that can spoil and things like that.
- 15:25Speaker 7: So we want to try to get this done and
- 15:27Speaker 7: hopefully the power with the with the test that we run,
- 15:29Speaker 7: it'll it'll it'll run correctly and we won't have to
- 15:31Speaker 7: do anything.
- 15:32Speaker 11: Okay, I don't know about the electricity though, you know
- 15:34Speaker 11: what I'm saying, So no, no, no.
- 15:35Speaker 7: I understand that. Don't worry about that. Here's what I
- 15:38Speaker 7: need you to do.
- 15:39Speaker 12: Now.
- 15:39Speaker 7: How big is your house? What do you how many bedrooms?
- 15:41Speaker 7: You got four bedrooms? Now you have upstairs downstairs?
- 15:45Speaker 11: It's too sure?
- 15:47Speaker 7: Okay, all right, So here's what we need to do.
- 15:50Speaker 7: If you can't ain't gonna take.
- 15:51Speaker 11: Long, though. Hey, I got because I'm in a hurry. Man,
- 15:54Speaker 11: I ain't gonna have a lot of time.
- 15:55Speaker 7: No, no, no, this this, this, this, this won't take
- 15:57Speaker 7: long at all, sir. Can I get you to take
- 15:59Speaker 7: your break and shut down everything upstairs and we're gonna
- 16:03Speaker 7: run a test on the stuff downstairs right now.
- 16:05Speaker 11: It'll be real quick, all right, just shut just shut
- 16:08Speaker 11: everything off.
- 16:09Speaker 7: I want you to keep the downstairs open and keep
- 16:11Speaker 7: that to the weeknds so we can run our test
- 16:13Speaker 7: on this thing.
- 16:14Speaker 11: All right, everything shut, everything's down.
- 16:16Speaker 7: Okay, you you turned off there.
- 16:17Speaker 11: I just turned off all the switches.
- 16:19Speaker 7: Okay, here's what I need you to do. I need
- 16:21Speaker 7: you to turn on your television and then turn it
- 16:25Speaker 7: off downstairs downstairs. How many TVs you got?
- 16:28Speaker 11: I got two TVs downstairs. Let's turn them both on
- 16:31Speaker 11: you all right, they both on?
- 16:33Speaker 7: Okay. Now, you got a microwave in your kitchen?
- 16:35Speaker 11: Yeah, microwave?
- 16:37Speaker 7: Okay, turn that on.
- 16:38Speaker 11: It's already on, man, I can see the lights on.
- 16:40Speaker 11: It's got the clock on it.
- 16:41Speaker 7: That's got that double a torone thing that's going through there.
- 16:44Speaker 7: It's a whole different type of current. I just want
- 16:45Speaker 7: to what you're talking about. But I got to get
- 16:47Speaker 7: to work, man. So the microwaves on, it's running? No, no, no,
- 16:50Speaker 7: I want you to actually turn it on. I want
- 16:52Speaker 7: you to actually push like a minute or two on
- 16:55Speaker 7: that thing.
- 16:56Speaker 11: Do with anything? Man, Come on, now, let me what
- 16:58Speaker 11: I gotta do.
- 16:58Speaker 7: No, this is a test. What I don't want to
- 17:00Speaker 7: have to do is come out there and turn your
- 17:01Speaker 7: power off. And I don't want to do that. You
- 17:03Speaker 7: got a lot of food in your fridge.
- 17:04Speaker 11: I'm sure right, all right, Look it's on microwave zone
- 17:09Speaker 11: TV zones.
- 17:10Speaker 7: Okay, now open your words.
- 17:12Speaker 11: Man. The electricity works downstairs.
- 17:14Speaker 7: But what we gotta do is we gotta make sure
- 17:16Speaker 7: that this stuff isn't overpower. Now can you open your refrigerator?
- 17:20Speaker 11: Yeah? Yeah, Man.
- 17:21Speaker 7: Do you see the button? You can push it in
- 17:24Speaker 7: the lighter go out? You know what I'm talking about.
- 17:26Speaker 11: Come on, man, you ain't got nobody to just be
- 17:29Speaker 11: able to check something outside. Man, I mean I'm in
- 17:31Speaker 11: the fridge.
- 17:32Speaker 7: I understand. But push that button five times for me
- 17:34Speaker 7: to see what it does.
- 17:36Speaker 11: What the light button?
- 17:38Speaker 7: Yeah, push that light button five times? Come on, man,
- 17:41Speaker 7: that did it go off? And on?
- 17:43Speaker 11: Every day it's open and on man. Ain't not wrong
- 17:46Speaker 11: with the refrisherator. Refrigerators plug in, man.
- 17:48Speaker 7: Okay, now here's what I want you to do. Right there,
- 17:50Speaker 7: if you're in the kitchen, turn your slink on for me.
- 17:53Speaker 11: Turn the sink on, gourch.
- 17:54Speaker 7: They gotta do electricity, man, that's a nitrol current. That's
- 17:57Speaker 7: a nitral current. You wouldn't understand that, But I need
- 17:59Speaker 7: you to turn that for me too. Just turn it
- 18:01Speaker 7: on full blast. Got it on, I got it on. Okay,
- 18:07Speaker 7: Now go in your master bedroom.
- 18:09Speaker 11: I can sell it off.
- 18:10Speaker 7: No, let that water run. Go in your master bedroom
- 18:13Speaker 7: and go in the bath for me. I appreciate you
- 18:15Speaker 7: helping me out on this.
- 18:16Speaker 12: Man.
- 18:16Speaker 7: Come on, man, Quincy, I appreciate that. Hurry.

- 21:32Speaker 8: Steve Harvey and the Bill Ding. Right up to this.

- 22:10Speaker 8: minor aches and pains. Coming up at the top of
- 22:13Speaker 8: the hour in entertainment news, highlights from this year's Essence
- 22:16Speaker 8: Fest in New Orleans, and in trending headline news, have
- 22:20Speaker 8: you guys seen the viral image of this black woman
- 22:23Speaker 8: on the DC train so surrounded by these white supremacists.
- 22:28Speaker 8: We'll talk about all these stories that this was crazy. Yeah,
- 22:32Speaker 8: we'll talk about all these stories at the top of
- 22:34Speaker 8: the hour, But right now it is time to ask
- 22:37Speaker 8: the CLO our chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Here we go.
- 22:41Speaker 8: Steve Colo Rachel in tucsont Towson says, my husband is
- 22:48Speaker 8: fourteen years older and he's got a thick Southern accent. Okay,
- 22:53Speaker 8: when he drinks, he mixes profanity in with his Southern sayings,
- 22:57Speaker 8: and my friends love making fun of him. He's not
- 23:00Speaker 8: bothered by it, but I am Why does he enjoy
- 23:03Speaker 8: being laughed at?
- 23:05Speaker 2: Well, you might want to check into the drinking problem.
- 23:08Speaker 2: You worry about him being laughed at. It's the drink.
- 23:13Speaker 2: How much is he drinking? Why is he always drinking
- 23:15Speaker 2: around your friends? You know he don't have a problem
- 23:20Speaker 2: with it, because well, let me just put something I've
- 23:23Speaker 2: recently learned.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Okay, it's most drunk.
- 23:28Speaker 2: People are not affected by the things that's going on
- 23:34Speaker 2: around them because they have a different view of it.
- 23:38Speaker 2: Once you drunk, you know, it's it's like there's something
- 23:42Speaker 2: the listening part of your brain turns off when you drink.
- 23:47Speaker 2: I think, oh, I think that's what happens. I think
- 23:50Speaker 2: that disconnects it because it takes you got You need
- 23:53Speaker 2: the rest of your faculties, like you know, like like
- 23:55Speaker 2: something has to turn off. So listening turns off so
- 23:57Speaker 2: you can balance, oh, hold yourself together. Yeah, so you
- 24:06Speaker 2: can verbalize, make your words sound like they real words,
- 24:11Speaker 2: you syllables and stuff. Because when you're drinking, it takes
- 24:15Speaker 2: a lot of stuff, a lot of stuff starts falling apart,
- 24:17Speaker 2: so you lose some of your senses listening. This one
- 24:20Speaker 2: of them.
- 24:21Speaker 1: But CLO is this so bad?
- 24:24Speaker 3: Though?
- 24:24Speaker 8: All he does is mix profanity in with his Southern sayings.
- 24:29Speaker 2: I almost thought the letter was about me. I'm not
- 24:32Speaker 2: fourteen years old. Yes, because I've been mixing profanity in
- 24:36Speaker 2: with my country say it is for a long time,
- 24:38Speaker 2: for a long.
- 24:39Speaker 8: Time, and we laugh, and she's mad because they laugh.
- 24:44Speaker 8: Her friends laugh at him, but he doesn't. He doesn't.
- 24:48Speaker 8: It doesn't bother him.
- 24:49Speaker 1: He doesn't care.
- 24:50Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, this is not major, right, all right? Moving
- 24:55Speaker 8: on to Doug in Nashville. Doug writes, I have a
- 24:59Speaker 8: type A personality, so I like a clean home.
- 25:02Speaker 1: But my wife is the opposite.
- 25:04Speaker 8: She leaves a ring around the tub and dirty dishes
- 25:07Speaker 8: for the housekeeper to handle if I if I ask
- 25:10Speaker 8: her to clean up, she ignores me. Why can't she
- 25:12Speaker 8: clean up after herself?
- 25:16Speaker 2: Well, the ring around the tub throw me off a
- 25:19Speaker 2: little bit.
- 25:24Speaker 8: But I've never seen that my wife take baths all
- 25:30Speaker 8: the time.
- 25:30Speaker 2: I've yet to see a ring around that. Dad, Well, hope,
- 25:33Speaker 2: I don't ever see that either.
- 25:36Speaker 1: Are you a mud wrestler? What's happening? What's going on?
- 25:40Speaker 1: What you're doing every day?
- 25:43Speaker 2: I don't. First, there's two things got me about this hill,
- 25:48Speaker 2: because it's too that. Number One, I don't do no
- 25:53Speaker 2: cleaning up.
- 25:54Speaker 1: We know, we know.
- 25:58Speaker 2: And then you said, y'all got a house keep right?
- 26:01Speaker 2: Uh huh, y'all got a housekeeper.
- 26:03Speaker 1: So yeah, you do too.
- 26:04Speaker 2: You understand why why?
- 26:08Speaker 1: Okay, question, I'm going to clean it? Yes, yes, go ahead.
- 26:12Speaker 9: Have you cleaned the shower when you get out the shower?
- 26:15Speaker 9: Have you ever cleaned the shower out? Because you have
- 26:17Speaker 9: a housekeeper and.
- 26:18Speaker 2: All that clean the shower.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Let's even go for basicly, do.
- 26:22Speaker 2: You think the water going down the drain is?
- 26:24Speaker 1: Yeah? Basically than that?
- 26:26Speaker 8: Do you at least you don't just take your clothes
- 26:28Speaker 8: off and step out of them. You do at least
- 26:30Speaker 8: put your clothes in the hamper and yeah or some Yeah,
- 26:34Speaker 8: I ain't got no.
- 26:34Speaker 10: Hamp in my bathroom, so you got a hamp. I
- 26:39Speaker 10: wouldn't believe you would have a hamp.
- 26:41Speaker 8: But do you step step out of your clothes and
- 26:43Speaker 8: just leave them or do you just what do you
- 26:45Speaker 8: do with them when you're wearing them?
- 26:48Speaker 2: That's what that's not.
- 26:50Speaker 10: Your cleaner bang a cleaner band.
- 26:55Speaker 1: Clothes.
- 26:56Speaker 6: We need to know what are you doing?
- 27:00Speaker 1: Draws?
- 27:02Speaker 2: Say, I don't even know where the cleaner is. We're
- 27:06Speaker 2: talking to me about stuff like.
- 27:07Speaker 10: Okay, okay, so look socks and draw when you get undressed?
- 27:11Speaker 2: Where did the socks and draw in the.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Okay?
- 27:17Speaker 8: So you don't pick up after yourself. And that's what
- 27:19Speaker 8: he that's I know, that's what he's asking.
- 27:22Speaker 1: Why why want his wife pick up after himself? Clean
- 27:25Speaker 1: up after himself. That's what he wants to do.
- 27:28Speaker 2: What people in him that you I don't even know
- 27:35Speaker 2: their name. We got two different type of housekeepers.
- 27:39Speaker 10: Yeah, we got somebody to show up once a week,
- 27:41Speaker 10: wants clean. Yeah, he got somebody that's every day. Yeah, no, no,
- 27:51Speaker 10: you can't live.
- 27:52Speaker 9: Okay, Well, question though, question with that? So what time
- 27:55Speaker 9: just said when you get undressed. Let's just say you
- 27:58Speaker 9: had a person that came in once a week, you
- 28:00Speaker 9: would leave the clothes there for a whole week on
- 28:02Speaker 9: the floor.
- 28:03Speaker 2: It's just I can't imagine that. I can't imagine once
- 28:06Speaker 2: a week. I don't know. Try to imagine that I
- 28:10Speaker 2: wouldn't open the door in my bathroom once a week.
- 28:14Speaker 1: Way too long. I love it. I love it all right.
- 28:17Speaker 2: I'll be standing on clothes, peeing and stuff.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Man, what a great light? See all right?
- 28:26Speaker 13: Moving on to one Eeda and Gulf Court, one writes,
- 28:30Speaker 13: I know Saturday night, I was in bed with a
- 28:33Speaker 13: friend and when the fireworks started, he jumped up and
- 28:36Speaker 13: ran outside.
- 28:37Speaker 8: So he could shoot his gun up in the air
- 28:39Speaker 8: a few times. Is this a man? Is this a
- 28:43Speaker 8: man thing to get up in the middle of sex
- 28:46Speaker 8: to go shoot a gun?
- 28:47Speaker 1: Or what's the sex that bad? What's the sex bad?
- 28:50Speaker 2: Well, I've never done it. When I was out there
- 28:54Speaker 2: a while in over people house that I'd have had
- 28:57Speaker 2: no future with my All my gun shooting was done
- 29:02Speaker 2: in the room, I didn't know, right in the backyard.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Fire All my gun shooting was in the room. You
- 29:16Speaker 2: him getting up out the bed shooting his gun in the.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Air with the with the fire work.
- 29:23Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, see you thinking it was a bad experience
- 29:28Speaker 2: for him. I'm thinking that too.
- 29:36Speaker 1: Nothing would make you leave.
- 29:38Speaker 2: I can't if I jump up and get out of
- 29:41Speaker 2: that and I'm going home. It wasn't wasn't nothing worth
- 29:43Speaker 2: this hit? He go outside. I'd rather shoot my gun,
- 29:47Speaker 2: uh huh. Yeah. But the fact that he bought a
- 29:50Speaker 2: gun over to your house, Yeah, that's a whole nother. Yeah.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Yeah, he jumped up and ran outside.
- 30:02Speaker 2: And how does that still matter to him? Like that?
- 30:05Speaker 1: How old is he? Well, her name is wan Nita.
- 30:09Speaker 2: If that helped, Oh that's six or something.
- 30:13Speaker 8: Okay, all right, thank you, Stella, coming up next. We'll
- 30:19Speaker 8: have more at the top of the hour, entertainment and
- 30:22Speaker 8: trending headline news right after that.
- 30:25Speaker 2: I can't call it this, your man said to d entertainer,
- 30:27Speaker 2: and you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 30:30Speaker 1: That my doubts you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 30:39Speaker 8: According to Essence dot Com, Tianna Taylor and her creative
- 30:42Speaker 8: collective The Aunties, was the chief curator for this year's
- 30:46Speaker 8: Essen's Vest in New Orleans. Tianna helped shape the festivals
- 30:50Speaker 8: rooted in black culture, of feminine power and intentional storytelling.
- 30:55Speaker 8: Some of the trending highlights from this year's Essence Vest
- 30:58Speaker 8: were George Clinton and Parliament funk.
- 31:01Speaker 1: By No I know right, Brandy who.
- 31:05Speaker 8: Was looking real good Man, Yes, Yes, Babyface, t I,
- 31:11Speaker 8: the Aliyah Tribute, Missy Elliot, Kekey Palmer, Michelle Obama, our
- 31:17Speaker 8: Forever First Lady Lotto Yes, Yes, Yes, Kailani Cardi b
- 31:23Speaker 8: Dougie Fresh, Patti LaBelle, Sona Lathan, Doctor Burney Say King,
- 31:28Speaker 8: and doctor Iliasa Schabbaz. The daughters of civil rights icons
- 31:32Speaker 8: Martin Luther King and Malcolm X discussed legacy, leadership and
- 31:36Speaker 8: resilient Senator Corey Booker and Representative Jasmine Crockett, and members
- 31:41Speaker 8: of the Congressional Black Caucus all discussed black political and
- 31:45Speaker 8: economic power. So we weren't there, but I saw a
- 31:49Speaker 8: lot of it on Instagram and LAWMDIA.
- 31:52Speaker 1: Yeah they have fun, it was Liz. Yeah, it looked
- 31:57Speaker 1: really good.
- 31:58Speaker 9: Some girlfriends that went and they say they really enjoyed it.
- 32:02Speaker 1: Really.
- 32:02Speaker 2: I'd like to go to Essence again.
- 32:05Speaker 8: Me too, Uh huh, yeah, I think it'd be fun.
- 32:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:09Speaker 1: That always fun, always fun and hot. It's always going
- 32:14Speaker 1: to be hot, breaking, yeah, yep, yeah, n also uh yeah.
- 32:23Speaker 8: In this crazy story, hundreds of massed members of the
- 32:28Speaker 8: white nationalist group Patriot Front, carrying banners including the Confederate flag,
- 32:35Speaker 8: march through Washington, d C. On the fourth of July,
- 32:37Speaker 8: the two hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the United States
- 32:40Speaker 8: of America. They wore white masks and gathered in front
- 32:44Speaker 8: of DC's Union Station and Capitol Hill, chanting life, liberty, victory,
- 32:49Speaker 8: and reclaim America. You're yeah, what do you mean? What
- 32:56Speaker 8: are you talking about?
- 32:57Speaker 12: So?
- 32:58Speaker 1: And have you guys seen this picture?
- 33:00Speaker 8: This picture has gone viral of the black woman sitting
- 33:02Speaker 8: on a DC metro train surrounded by these mass white men.
- 33:06Speaker 8: Social media users are saying, this is the defining picture
- 33:10Speaker 8: of America today.
- 33:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I saw the picture of a young lady sitting
- 33:14Speaker 2: on the train. All I wanted, all I wanted today
- 33:18Speaker 2: at that moment is to wish I was on the
- 33:20Speaker 2: train that could just sit next to her. I just
- 33:24Speaker 2: wanted to, hey, baby, scoot over, it's gonna be all right,
- 33:27Speaker 2: and just ride on the train with her. I don't
- 33:29Speaker 2: want a little smoke. You know, I can't. I can't
- 33:32Speaker 2: beat sixty men on the train. I wanted to sit
- 33:38Speaker 2: next to her. There was a seat available. I just
- 33:41Speaker 2: wished I could have said, excuse me, all no disrespect,
- 33:44Speaker 2: excuse me, excuse me, please. I like to sit next
- 33:46Speaker 2: to her and just sit down and scoot up against
- 33:49Speaker 2: that window so she would not be so alone.
- 33:52Speaker 8: That's all I was feeling, Yeah, because by herself.
- 33:58Speaker 2: She was so alone. Yeah, and she didn't sign up
- 34:01Speaker 2: for this. You know, I'm glad nothing happened. You know,
- 34:06Speaker 2: hopefully nobody said anything disrespectful. Just let her ride the bus.
- 34:09Speaker 2: Y'all go do, y'all gonna do what y'all gonna do.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Exercise your freedom of speech. Or whatever you want to
- 34:14Speaker 2: call it, the ignorance of this country. Your freedom of
- 34:18Speaker 2: speech when it becomes at the expense of others, freedom
- 34:23Speaker 2: to live, freedom to exist, freedom to the pursuit of happiness,
- 34:26Speaker 2: when it interferees with their being a part of this
- 34:30Speaker 2: fib of this country, that's when your freedom of speech
- 34:33Speaker 2: needs to be checked.
- 34:35Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure.
- 34:36Speaker 2: And you know, and you're a nationalist, white supremacist organization.
- 34:41Speaker 2: You're saying you're better than us, and we want to
- 34:43Speaker 2: reclaim America. Y'all, y'all listen to me. Be careful. That's
- 34:47Speaker 2: the same thing as make America great again. The reclaiming part.
- 34:52Speaker 2: They're not talking about taking it back from anybody. They
- 34:56Speaker 2: want to take it back to a time when they
- 34:58Speaker 2: felt they were so body.
- 35:01Speaker 1: Okay, that's what they did different.
- 35:04Speaker 2: They wanted back where they could openly feel superior and
- 35:10Speaker 2: it was accepted in the way of American life, because
- 35:13Speaker 2: that's the way it used to be. You know, it
- 35:16Speaker 2: was openly you work. Black people weren't allowed to eat
- 35:19Speaker 2: in this restaurant.
- 35:21Speaker 7: Ye.
- 35:21Speaker 2: Black people had to go to the back of the door.
- 35:24Speaker 2: Black people had around the back of the bus. Black
- 35:26Speaker 2: people couldn't drink out of this water fountain. That's what
- 35:29Speaker 2: they want. That's what they want. So when they say
- 35:33Speaker 2: reclaim America's reclaiming a position that they had that made
- 35:39Speaker 2: them feel openly superior. Because right now they can't do
- 35:43Speaker 2: it openly. That's why they have on the mask, you know,
- 35:46Speaker 2: because if you just it's like ice, if you was
- 35:49Speaker 2: doing something so right and righteous, what's the mask for
- 35:52Speaker 2: what you're covered up for?
- 35:54Speaker 10: Yeah?

- 56:44Speaker 2: It could be yours. Buckle up and hold on tight.
- 56:46Speaker 2: We got it for you here. It is strawberry.
- 56:48Speaker 8: Let us all right, nephew, thank you. Subject does my
- 56:52Speaker 8: fiance hate my family? Just Stephen Shirley. I moved to
- 56:56Speaker 8: the New York area from my country about six years ago.
- 57:00Speaker 8: I met a woman on a dating site and we
- 57:02Speaker 8: are the same age and we're both successful. She's a dentist,
- 57:06Speaker 8: and I have a Jamaican takeout restaurant. I bought a
- 57:08Speaker 8: house big enough so my mom and my aunt can
- 57:11Speaker 8: live with me. My mom has been in the US
- 57:13Speaker 8: for two years, and my girlfriend, who is now my fiance,
- 57:17Speaker 8: helped my family get settled. They go to church together
- 57:21Speaker 8: and my mom loves her. But all along, my fiance
- 57:25Speaker 8: was faking it with my family. I found out when
- 57:28Speaker 8: we discussed a prenup agreement and life insurance. I make
- 57:32Speaker 8: a lot more money with my business because my fiance
- 57:35Speaker 8: only works a few days a week and a clinic.
- 57:38Speaker 8: Ever since we got engaged, I let her know that
- 57:41Speaker 8: I wanted a prenup and I told her I was
- 57:44Speaker 8: getting a life insurance policy. She argued that my mom
- 57:47Speaker 8: shouldn't be on the policy at all. That was a
- 57:50Speaker 8: red flag, but I let it slide because I'm going
- 57:53Speaker 8: to do what I want to do anyway. For the prenup,
- 57:56Speaker 8: she wants me to add a clause that states that
- 57:59Speaker 8: my mom.
- 58:00Speaker 1: Nor my aunt will ever live in our house.
- 58:03Speaker 8: She also doesn't want any of my family staying with
- 58:06Speaker 8: us when they visit. We've already picked out a new
- 58:09Speaker 8: home with a full basement for guests during the holidays.
- 58:12Speaker 8: She said they will have to pay for hotels because
- 58:15Speaker 8: they will not be staying with us. I'm not with
- 58:19Speaker 8: any of that. She has a weird relationship with her parents,
- 58:22Speaker 8: but my family is close and love to come together.
- 58:26Speaker 8: My fiance claims to love my mom and she can't
- 58:29Speaker 8: wait to meet my big family. But I don't believe it.
- 58:33Speaker 8: Is this a cultural thing with Americans? Is this the
- 58:36Speaker 8: first sign of bigger problems? If I marry this woman,
- 58:39Speaker 8: what do I do?
- 58:42Speaker 2: Well?
- 58:44Speaker 8: I don't believe her either. I'm with you on that.
- 58:46Speaker 8: I'm not exactly sure what you're asking when you say
- 58:49Speaker 8: is this a cultural thing with Americans? Because all cultures
- 58:53Speaker 8: can fake with their partners' families and cannot want their partners'
- 58:58Speaker 8: families to live with them.
- 58:59Speaker 1: That is universal. But I'm gonna say this, I.
- 59:03Speaker 8: Think you should slow down a bit with this woman
- 59:05Speaker 8: so you can see that what you're thinking about her
- 59:08Speaker 8: is real. This is a woman who doesn't want to
- 59:10Speaker 8: be around your family period. I mean, that's it. She
- 59:13Speaker 8: doesn't want your mom on the insurance papers. I guess
- 59:16Speaker 8: she's okay with a prenup, but she wants to add
- 59:19Speaker 8: a clause in the prenup where your mom and your
- 59:22Speaker 8: aunt can't live at the house and your family can't
- 59:25Speaker 8: even visit. I mean they can't stay when they visit,
- 59:29Speaker 8: they can't stay there. Even though you have this big
- 59:31Speaker 8: basement that you're building. What she got against your family anyway?
- 59:36Speaker 8: Oh yeah, you said it. She's not close with her family,
- 59:39Speaker 8: so she doesn't understand all of that. Yes, these are huge,
- 59:44Speaker 8: waving red flags. You have seen her true colors. You
- 59:47Speaker 8: see how she's been playing your mom all this time,
- 59:50Speaker 8: and if you marry her, it's going to be the
- 59:52Speaker 8: same or worse. I mean, this is not how a
- 59:54Speaker 8: marriage should begin. You're already starting out at a deficit.
- 59:58Speaker 8: So to answer your question about this be a sign
- 1:00:00Speaker 8: of bigger problems, Yes, it definitely could be. And if
- 1:00:03Speaker 8: I were you, I would think long and hard before
- 1:00:05Speaker 8: I got down on one knee and just you know,
- 1:00:07Speaker 8: proposed to miss hospitality. But I guess you've already done
- 1:00:11Speaker 8: that since she's your fiance. But the marriage part, I
- 1:00:14Speaker 8: think you should wait.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: Steve.
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: Uh, this is a red flag. Though it's just a
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: red flag, and it's a good thing you had to
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: discussed already. I don't know how you're going to survive
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: all of this because it's two major differences, and family
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: is a major a major point, because they will always
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: be your family no matter what happens to you and her,
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: they will always be your family. Now, when you marry,
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: you're supposed to leave all others and cleave only onto her.
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: That's what you're supposed to do. And that's why I
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: think we have the problem because you're not willing to
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: do that, and she's not willing to be accepting of
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: your situation. She don't even like it. And let's go
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: over there. I'll show you why you moved to New
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: York area from my country. About six years ago. You
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: met this lady on the Dayton site. Excuse me, you
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: met this lady on the Dayton site. You're both the
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: same age, and we both successful. She's a dentist. You
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: got a Jamaica take Our restaurant. You make a lot
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: of money. And you said, I bought a house big
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: enough so my mom and my aunt can live with me.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: You've been there six years, your mom have benet been
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: there for two years, and your girlfriend, who is now
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: your fiance, helped my family get settled. So you've been
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: seeing this woman for a little bit of time, since
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: she helped your mother and aunt gets settled. Because they've
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: been here two years. So you've been dating this woman
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: for a while. I'm assuming they go to church together
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: and my mom loves her. But all alone you discovered, well,
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: she was faking it with the family. You found out
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: when you discussed the prenup agreement in life insurance. You say,
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: you make a lot of money with your business, and
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: your fiance only works a few days a week and
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: a clinic ever since we got engaged. Okay, So I
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: don't know if that means she cut back her workload
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: after y'all got engaged. Guess what it sounds huh yeah, thing,
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: keep know of that. Yes, you gotta pay attention to that.
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: I let her know I wanted a prenup and I
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: told her I was getting a life insurance policy. She
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: argued that my mom shouldn't even be on the policy
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: at all. Waitt man, older man, whoa, you can't leave
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: your mama no money my mama, dog, Oh man, I
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: can't leave my mama no money. She shouldn't be on
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: it at all. Red flag dog. I'll give in to
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: the rest of it.
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: That all right.
- 1:03:00Speaker 8: We'll have part two of Steve's response coming up at
- 1:03:03Speaker 8: twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry Letters subject
- 1:03:08Speaker 8: is does my fiance? Does my fiance hate my family?
- 1:03:13Speaker 8: We'll get back into.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: It right after this.
- 1:03:16Speaker 15: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:03:23Speaker 6: An education is a transformation every day.

- 1:03:32Speaker 9: and career advancement opportunities. We also connect forward thinking companies

- 1:03:45Speaker 9: I am today. The education, culture, community, and lifelong connections

- 1:04:08Speaker 9: today at TMCF dot org.
- 1:04:11Speaker 8: All right, come on, Steve, Let's recap todate strawberry letter.
- 1:04:13Speaker 8: The subject is does my fiance hate my family?
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: Well, we got a little situation going here because family
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: is important obviously in this letter. So let's go. You
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: move to this country outside New York. Six years ago,
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: you met a woman on a Dayton site. Y'all started dating,
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: both of you all the successful same age. She's a dentist.
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: You got to take out restaurant, and you bought a
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: house big enough for your mother and your aunt to
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: come and live with you. And your mom has been
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: here for two years and your girlfriend, who is now
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: your fiance, helped your mother gets settled and your family
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: they go to church together. My mom loves her. But
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: then you say, all along you think the FI say
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: been faking it with your family because you all discuss
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: the prenup agreement and life insurance. Now you make a
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: lot more money with your business because your fiance only
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: works a few days a week in a clinic every
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: since we got engaged, so she cut back. After you
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: got engaged. I let her know that I wanted a
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: prenup and I told her I was getting a life
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: insurance policy. She argued that my mom shouldn't be on
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: the policy at all. Okay, that's crazy. You can't leave
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: your mama no money in the vent of your demands.
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: That was a red flag, but I let it slide.
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: Ah See, when you let a red flag slide, that
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: means you're collecting them. Red flags don't go away because
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: you ignore them. Red flags don't go away because you
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: tuck them away. You can pick the red flag up
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: and put it in the trunk of your car or
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: the back of your pickup. It's still a red flag,
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: you say, But I let it slide because I'm gonna
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: do what I want to do. Anyway. You can put
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: your mama name on the polace. Ain't nothing she could
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: do about it, but for the prenup, she wanted you
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: to add a clause that states that my mom nor
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: my aunt will ever live in our house. She don't
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: want any of my family members staying with us when
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: they come visit. And that's because, now listen to this,
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: y'all already picked out a new house with a full
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: basement for guests during the holidays. She then told you
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: that your mama and aunt and I'm gonna have to
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: pay for hotel because they would not be staying with us. Okay,
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: she has been slowly having it her way as it
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: should be. In a house, a woman should have it
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: her way, but you get to have it your way too.
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: As much as Marjorie runs this house, I have a say,
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: so you know, she can't tell me, no, you're not
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: doing this well, I don't decorate or nothing like that,
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: But you can't tell me no, I can't come anyhow. Nah,
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: you don't need no cigaret. You can't have no little
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: golf room. What you put in the pud and green
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: out there for? Because I go to work, That's why,
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: and that's where you're at. But you got this woman
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: who says, since we're doing prenups, she done got prenupsies
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: usually got a whole lot to do with money and
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: finance and what you get in the event of the divorce.
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: I'm not hearing that. She don't put it in the prenup.
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: She don't want nobody living with her. She don't like
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: the fact that your mom and your aunt live with
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: you now. She want that out. She wants they at
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: a clause that say they can't ever live in our house.
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: She also don't want any of my family staying with
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: us when they visit. And y'all and picked out this
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: new home with this big basement for everybody to come
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: over for the holiday. She said, all of them got
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: to pay for hotels and they will not be staying
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: with us. You say, I'm not with any of that.
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: She has a weird relationship with her parents, But my
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: family is close and loved to come together. My fiance
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: claims to love my mom, and she says she can't
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: wait to meet my big family. But I don't believe it.
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: Is it a cultural thing with Americans? Not really? Sometimes
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: it is, sometimes it ain't. Is this the first sign
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: of a bigger problem if I married this woman? Well? Yeah,
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: what you think? I mean, that's probably the reason why
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: you wrote the letter, because you think it's gonna be
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: a bigger problem, and it is. Y'all ain't even finished
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: the prenup. Well what else you're gonna go? Because you're
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: not going to agree to that. See, so I don't
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: see how this moves forward. You're gonna put your mama's
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: name on the insurance policy, gonna you're gonna work on,
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: You're gonna do what you wanna do anyway. She's insisting
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: that she gets it her way, you just said, but
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: that's not going to happen. So now I don't know
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: how this moves forward because everything in the prenup, nobody's
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: agreed to. She don't agree to your having an insurance
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: policy putting your mama on it. You don't agree buying
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: this new house and agreeing that can't nobody ever lived
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: with y'all or visit in the basement. So it's just
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: the first sign of a bigger problem. If I'm married,
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: y'all gonna have a prenup, man doctor prenup has it?
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: Y'all ain't agreed to none of the points of your
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: own prenup. So, yeah, is it a problem y'all not
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: gonna get married. You've already said you have to have
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: a pre number. She'd have told you when you have
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: told her everything that's in a prenup. You just said
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: you can do what you want to do anyway. So
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: how y'all gonna get married without the prenup? And in
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: this case, brother, you need a prenup because I'm gonna
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: tell you right now, y'all not gonna make it whoa
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: And I'm gonna just make this statement like I've made
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: a hundred times before. Everybody I know with a prenup
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: has has used it. Woo. You always say that I
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: don't don't nobody married that had a prenup that didn't
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: use the prenup. Wow, I have not met him? All right?

- 1:10:56Speaker 1: Nephew Tommy, how's this gonna go? Thanks?
- 1:11:00Speaker 12: Working?
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: What was that last night? What was that what do
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: you call boy?
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: What world?
- 1:11:09Speaker 6: What a.
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: Raggedy mess? The world coach? You know us a playing
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: Belgium last night. Now we already down to one, so
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: now you know we got a chance. And then they
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: did something. I'm looking at the TV like that's how
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: I play soccer and I don't play soccer. All of
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: a sudden, you know what, don't know what? I don't
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: know what the goalie.
- 1:11:37Speaker 10: The goalie came way out of his box, left his area,
- 1:11:41Speaker 10: miss kick kick the ball. It just it was just
- 1:11:45Speaker 10: a mess like like children.
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, miskicked it. But first of all, wasn't
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: even in his area. Well, why he's way out here.
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: He half way up to midfield where he can't use
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: his hands. Now see once he leave that box area,
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: he can't use his hands no more. So now he
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: all up out of now he out here? What this?
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: Which is why he the goalie?
- 1:12:12Speaker 9: Anyway, you at one job, stay you at one.
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: Because because the box, the only reason you on this
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: field is called it. You really can't.
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: Kick, okay, but you could use your hands.
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: They don't bring the goalie out there to scope, yeah,
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: because that ain't what he do. He ain't no good
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: dribbler with the ball, none of that. So anyway, he missed,
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: guy went way out there, dude coming. Then the dude
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: stole the ball. Then the other American missed the ball.
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: Then he got out there and he kicked it. The
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: goalie missed with his foot. He couldn't defend it. I'll
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: have just used my hands and went to the penalty
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: box myself. That's what I did. I'll just use my
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: hands and gave him a penalty shot. And then the
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: dude back there at the goal, he ain't the goldie,
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: so he can't use his hands, so the ball went
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: right by him. I said, who kids is that? They
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: looked like we was playing. That's what it looked like.
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: Steve and Tommy then messed around and let Belgium scope.
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: All these headlines.
- 1:13:17Speaker 9: It says the USA may never recover from this nightmare moment.
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: Man, this is the worst they've ever played.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: But I think it was too much public.
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: It was so unbelievable that a non soccer player mm hmm,
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: look could look at the TV and go, what kind
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: of mess is this? I've never seen I've never seen
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: anybody do that. But let me say this, this.
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: Is president what happens. Yeah, you need help from Trump.
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: This is what happened. You need to keep his hands
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: out of everything.
- 1:13:55Speaker 8: All right, guys, thank you for that sports report coming
- 1:13:58Speaker 8: up at the top of the hour.
- 1:14:00Speaker 7: Our.
- 1:14:00Speaker 8: A young woman on social media needs some advice. She says,
- 1:14:02Speaker 8: I think my parents would be happier apart. We'll talk
- 1:14:05Speaker 8: about it right after this. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:14:09Speaker 8: Harvey Morning Show. All right, This is from Brittany on
- 1:14:15Speaker 8: Steve HARVEYFM. Brittany says, my parents have been married for
- 1:14:19Speaker 8: twenty four years, and I can't remember a time when
- 1:14:22Speaker 8: they seemed happy together. They don't scream or throw things,
- 1:14:25Speaker 8: but they bicker constantly. Barry barely spend any time together
- 1:14:29Speaker 8: and act more like roommates than a married couple. Growing up,
- 1:14:33Speaker 8: I always assumed they were staying together for me and
- 1:14:36Speaker 8: my younger sister. But now I've graduated from college, my
- 1:14:40Speaker 8: sister has moved away to school, and neither of us
- 1:14:42Speaker 8: is living at home anymore. It makes me wonder why
- 1:14:46Speaker 8: they're still doing this to themselves. Is it my place
- 1:14:50Speaker 8: to say something to give them permission to split? Or
- 1:14:53Speaker 8: should I stay out of it and mind my business?
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: Not a case split they cannot split.
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: What do you mean you can't split?
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: I know they can't because don't nobody want either one
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: of them? They they need that. They already know. They
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: looked at each other. They done size it up. They
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: know what they've done grown into. Ain't nobody want me?
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: Ain't nobody gonna want you? Just stay here for Yeah,
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: but I know some people that's in relationships that they
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: are miserable in man. You could just tell it ain't
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: it ain't no good?
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: Uh huh?
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: What are some of the signs well for a man?
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: I know all the signs for a man.
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: Okay, let's hear it.
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: Sitting in the driveway looking at the dome any well,
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: better than hell?
- 1:15:49Speaker 8: Please my man? Hold on, don't you got off work
- 1:15:52Speaker 8: hours ago?
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: You rather if you pull up and your man is
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: just sitting in the garage in a lawn chair, just
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: at the opening or the garage, just sitting there, just looking,
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: just looking out on the street, watching cars go by.
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: He can't go, huh what has she done?
- 1:16:16Speaker 11: What?
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: Everything get on his nerves? He doesn't he done popped
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: open that that that lawn chair.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: Uh huh?
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: Got himself a bill? Yeah, I just said he in
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: the middle of the garage, the door opening, he just
- 1:16:32Speaker 2: sitting there.
- 1:16:33Speaker 8: It is hot, but he didn't go in the house yet.
- 1:16:37Speaker 8: Hot you don't give and then come back out and
- 1:16:41Speaker 8: get the lawn chair.
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: He is finish.
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: If y'all driving in the car, and he leaning against the.
- 1:16:52Speaker 10: Window out help me help, if y'all driving, And he
- 1:17:01Speaker 10: turned that radio up loud so he can't hear what
- 1:17:03Speaker 10: she's saying.
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: He don't even want to hear you breathing.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: WHOA, that's cold, that's so so.
- 1:17:10Speaker 8: And then in a case like that, why not just
- 1:17:13Speaker 8: get divorced and put each other out of their misery,
- 1:17:16Speaker 8: out of your misery.
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: Too much hassle problem, you know, And a dude like that,
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: he just don't need another problem.
- 1:17:24Speaker 10: You still like something about that person. You gotta have
- 1:17:27Speaker 10: one thing that you like. I don't like you gotta
- 1:17:29Speaker 10: gotta have something.
- 1:17:31Speaker 8: I mean, I know you have to like them, but
- 1:17:33Speaker 8: it seems like like one out the window and you
- 1:17:35Speaker 8: just it's just love right now, you.
- 1:17:37Speaker 10: Know, Well, no liking. Love interchanges periodically.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: So you've heard, yeah, I like you today.
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: But I don't feel that love thing today. I love
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: you always, but there's some days I don't really like you.
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: So I know.
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: But that's everybody. But I'm just not. I can't. I can't.
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: I think all the like is gone at that point.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: All the like is gone. That's what I just love her.
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: You want to take care of her. You don't want
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: to hurt her.
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: You're committed.
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: But I don't like her though.
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: She don't like that.
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: She can't stand you either. No, she does not like you.
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: Like Like if you're in there watching TV and you
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: hear her fall down some.
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: Steps, you rush to her aside, right to help?
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: Well, you go over there, ain't no before you get
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: up there, you go, what do you breathe them?
- 1:18:37Speaker 12: More?
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: Wan fell down this? Wowch ain't broke none because I'm
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: in here watching this game. Welcome stuff. He don't even
- 1:18:49Speaker 2: know how to do.
- 1:18:51Speaker 8: All right, we'll have more of this unloving show right
- 1:18:55Speaker 8: after this.
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. We'll talk
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: about irony.
- 1:19:05Speaker 8: Guys, did you see when the Trump supporters who attended
- 1:19:08Speaker 8: the July fourth, Trump's Freedom two fifty celebration on the
- 1:19:11Speaker 8: National Mall were directed to take shelter at the National
- 1:19:14Speaker 8: African American History and Culture Museum.
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: As severe we are in the room of all the places.
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: I know what you said, Carl, I thought you said
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: something somewhere what Oh we there?
- 1:19:26Speaker 8: Now?

- 1:19:31Speaker 2: but I went all right, now, now we're doing it.
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: There's a morning show now.
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: Yes, Why does cousin always have to validate everything we
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: do on this show?
- 1:19:45Speaker 8: Severe thunderstorms roll through Washington, d C. Social media users
- 1:19:50Speaker 8: posted messages to Trump supporters. Don't touch nothing, go and
- 1:19:54Speaker 8: read the exhibits and learn something.
- 1:19:57Speaker 3: I'll just posted.
- 1:19:58Speaker 8: Go to the basement and read what some of your
- 1:20:00Speaker 8: ancestors did. Okay in the bass that you're over here? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:20:07Speaker 8: How ironic is this when you know that this was
- 1:20:11Speaker 8: one of the places of museums that the president wanted to.
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, wanted at all. Yeah, but we.
- 1:20:21Speaker 8: Always say cover, use it to take cover from.
- 1:20:25Speaker 10: The eight museums on this block. I don't know how
- 1:20:28Speaker 10: they told this. I to set up projectors.

- 1:25:45Speaker 2: was July third that I went on a Friday, and
- 1:25:48Speaker 2: I was actually walking through the people really nice.
- 1:25:50Speaker 7: Man.
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: I'd never been at that Academy Sports, so they were
- 1:25:52Speaker 2: real happy to have me, to say the least. But
- 1:25:56Speaker 2: they were nice, very helpful people. Man, had a nice
- 1:25:58Speaker 2: time walking around and they bought things and I was
- 1:26:02Speaker 2: leaving and the store manager said, hey, mister Harvey, thank
- 1:26:05Speaker 2: you for picking our store at the shop, I said think.
- 1:26:07Speaker 2: He said, hey, man, have a happy Fourth. I said, okay.
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: And then there was another guy right before I was
- 1:26:15Speaker 2: just say hey, mister Harvey, happy Fourth of July. And
- 1:26:17Speaker 2: now I went to my truck to get in my truck,
- 1:26:19Speaker 2: met this black dude. He's a man. It's an honor
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: to meet you. Man, Hey man, happy for July. And
- 1:26:24Speaker 2: it was just happening everywhere, and it was I kept
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: thinking of how nice people were to say that, but
- 1:26:32Speaker 2: I couldn't return it to them because that's not what
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: I do. I've never really celebrated the Fourth of July ever.
- 1:26:39Speaker 2: I've never understood what the celebration was for. I understand
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: it's supposed to be for the birth and the independence
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: of this nation, but it's just been too many times
- 1:26:49Speaker 2: that I haven't feeled. I don't get to feel the freedom,
- 1:26:53Speaker 2: I don't get to partake in the constitution. That constitution
- 1:26:58Speaker 2: has been flawed for me the entire time I've been here.
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: And I know a lot of people feel the same way.
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: That constitution forty one of the men who wrote that
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: constitution with slave owners. I'm just not understanding, you know,
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: I mean I'm understanding it. I get it. You know,
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: that's what you work. But it's too many times that
- 1:27:22Speaker 2: I don't feel a part of it. And even now, man,
- 1:27:28Speaker 2: it has gotten even worse for me because this is
- 1:27:32Speaker 2: the two hundred and fiftieth celebration of this nation, and congratulations.
- 1:27:36Speaker 2: You know I now here's one thing I do. I
- 1:27:40Speaker 2: respect your I respect the flag to the point where
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: I respect the men and women who put the uniforms
- 1:27:48Speaker 2: on to protect the freedom of that country. I respect
- 1:27:54Speaker 2: and I really stand for those who put that uniform
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: on who left home and didn't come back. So I
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: have the highest level of respect for these people. So
- 1:28:07Speaker 2: understand that. And after that, that's where it stops for me,
- 1:28:12Speaker 2: because after that, I have been in a constant battle.
- 1:28:16Speaker 2: My sixty nine years has been in a constant battle
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: of trying to be a part of an America that
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: don't seem to want me to be a part of it.
- 1:28:26Speaker 2: I grew up in Welch, West Virginia. I saw colored
- 1:28:31Speaker 2: only water fountains. I saw colored only restrooms. I saw
- 1:28:36Speaker 2: Kresky's downtown where blacks couldn't sit at this lunch counters.
- 1:28:41Speaker 2: I saw all of this. I saw all of it.
- 1:28:45Speaker 2: And then today I watched two hundred and fifty white nationalists,
- 1:28:52Speaker 2: a white supremacist group, march on Washington, DC. I watched
- 1:28:58Speaker 2: that solo picture of that black sitting on that bus,
- 1:29:02Speaker 2: surrounded by all that hate, and how I only felt
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: one thing. I wish I was on that bus. Not
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: to fight, because I can't whip forty fifty men on
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: no bus. I just wanted to on the train. I
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: just wanted to sit next to her and say, hey,
- 1:29:18Speaker 2: it's okay, you ain't by yourself. That's all I felt
- 1:29:20Speaker 2: for that picture. But why I got to feel that?
- 1:29:24Speaker 2: And now we have an administration that keeps and here's
- 1:29:28Speaker 2: a part that keeps throwing me. Man, this whole slogan.
- 1:29:30Speaker 2: When he ran on make America great Again, we were
- 1:29:34Speaker 2: wondering from the very beginning, make America great again?
- 1:29:38Speaker 3: For who?
- 1:29:39Speaker 2: When we steady been fighting to get our fair share?
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: When has it ever been great? And now we see
- 1:29:46Speaker 2: exactly what they mean by make America great again? The
- 1:29:50Speaker 2: Civil Rights Voting Act of nineteen sixty four. They would
- 1:29:54Speaker 2: do away with it row versus way. They want to
- 1:29:56Speaker 2: do away with it. They want to do away with
- 1:29:59Speaker 2: any statues, museums, that timplify, that exemplify, glorify, or remind
- 1:30:04Speaker 2: them of slavery. They want to get rid of black
- 1:30:06Speaker 2: history and books. They want to stop teaching it in schools.
- 1:30:09Speaker 2: They want to remove anything that reminds them of who
- 1:30:13Speaker 2: their forefathers are because it also shows them who they are.
- 1:30:18Speaker 2: Because if you're trying to do the same thing, you
- 1:30:20Speaker 2: know better off than them. So this whole make America
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: great again, This whole administration, everything they do is designed
- 1:30:29Speaker 2: to put somebody down. We sitting up in here, we
- 1:30:33Speaker 2: making budget cuts and all this here you were killing veterans' rights.
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: We thought DEEI was supposed to kill just black people. Oh,
- 1:30:41Speaker 2: but you forgot DI affected white women, VII affected veterans' rights,
- 1:30:47Speaker 2: DEI affected disabled people. You just keep forgetting, man, And
- 1:30:53Speaker 2: we keep allowing this administration to just do what they
- 1:30:57Speaker 2: want to do. And we sit here, man, where is
- 1:31:01Speaker 2: the decency? And now we've allowed them to redefine decency.
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: You're not changing my definition of decency because you're the
- 1:31:09Speaker 2: president and this is what you're doing. Now I'm just watching.
- 1:31:13Speaker 2: Do you know, man, that snap benefits have been cut?
- 1:31:16Speaker 2: Do you know seven hundred thousand children are going to
- 1:31:20Speaker 2: go hungry because they won't have the lunch programs and
- 1:31:24Speaker 2: the benefit for food that there used to be. What
- 1:31:28Speaker 2: does make America great again have to do with stopping
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: seven hundred thousand children from eating? Help me man. So,
- 1:31:38Speaker 2: while y'all celebrate America, go ahead, but we ain't found
- 1:31:42Speaker 2: nothing to celebrate yet. We just haven't. We've made the
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: best of it, but now we're fighting uphill again. We're
- 1:31:49Speaker 2: still in the same fight we've been in since night,
- 1:31:52Speaker 2: since I was born. I'm just growing a little tired
- 1:31:55Speaker 2: of it. I just wish y'all could see that. All right,
- 1:31:59Speaker 2: y'all have a great day today, Talk to God.
