- 0:00The B -Side and Boxing. B -Side shit. B -Side.
- 0:04B -Side. And the B -Side. You got a B -Side.
- 0:06The B -Side. B -Side. B -Side. B -Side. The B
- 0:10-Side thing. This is the B -Sides Boxing Podcast.
- 0:20No, that'll work out fine. Boxing B -Sides. Holy
- 0:23shit, we're back. Joined by the one and only
- 0:26Saul and Joshua. Que paso, hermanos? What's up,
- 0:31guys? Man, the very spirited debate on Hall of
- 0:39Fame stuff. Do you want to hear what that was?
- 0:42You're going to have to go to patreon .com slash
- 0:44lbxmedianet and get yourself signed up. But we
- 0:50do have some interesting news coming up. So we
- 0:54got two people that are signed to fight in January.
- 0:57Opponents to be determined. Number one, Bandy
- 1:01Pacquiao. Possible opponents, we're looking at
- 1:06Rawley rematching Barrios. Is that what we're
- 1:12talking about? Rawley. I need to be Rawley. Fight
- 1:17of the century shit. Have you guys seen Rawley
- 1:24in his recent interviews, dude? That dude's devoted.
- 1:28Devoted to the Lord. He's so fucking funny, dude.
- 1:32Like, if only he wasn't the alleged serial rapist.
- 1:36What? I keep forgetting that he's a... I keep
- 1:40forgetting he's a rapist. You know that hiatus
- 1:43he took between the tank fight and the Barroso
- 1:46fight? Yes. He ran into legal trouble. For allegedly.
- 1:54Allegedly being a serial rapist. Jesus Christ.
- 1:57And allegedly. Intimidating everyone who accused
- 2:02them. Into being quiet. Intimidating witnesses.
- 2:06So that's what I mean. He's a funny guy. But
- 2:11I just like. It's hard to look past that. That's
- 2:15what I mean. I've never seen like. Is there like
- 2:18a group of it. Like they were released from court.
- 2:22I'm sure RJ could pull it. Yeah, RJ's got it
- 2:25here. Oh, shit. Hold on. That's people of the
- 2:28Philippines. I'm not thinking it. If he did it,
- 2:32he did it. I'm just saying, like, I want to see
- 2:35that just because I'm so interested in that,
- 2:36you know? Yeah, fuck. Did they take that down
- 2:38from, like, Bad Left Hook and all the news outlets?
- 2:43The big, rolly propaganda. Big, rolly. Big, rolly
- 2:47industrial complex. yeah no charges after no
- 2:51charges for orlando romero orlando romero accused
- 2:55of sexual assault diddy romero diddy romero oh
- 3:00jesus i mean yeah i mean crazy yeah that was
- 3:12like a whole the whole stuff i was pre -tank
- 3:16fight apparently But the point is, it's going
- 3:22to be Pacquiao -Rolley just because Barrios is
- 3:27probably going to fight someone else. Yeah, remember
- 3:32Ryan Garcia was calling him out. Yeah, and draw
- 3:36against Ryan Garcia. Do we have more draws than
- 3:42Daigo Higa? I need to see him just win. Not even
- 3:45win. Let's draw the rest of his career and retire
- 3:48champion. 29 -2 in 29. No one can win his title,
- 4:02but he can't lose it either. It's great. Would
- 4:07that be like hell for a professional fighter?
- 4:13Well, for him, it's great. He keeps getting paid.
- 4:15It'd be hell for anyone who fights him. Cursed
- 4:17to drawing forever. The other name signed up
- 4:25for January, Deontay Wilder. Yeah. He said he
- 4:32was doing some teaser shit in an interview. Got
- 4:36something really big planned. Can't really talk
- 4:39about it right now, but we'll... When the time
- 4:44comes, you'll be the first to hear about it type
- 4:46of shit. Yeah. Honestly, with the stage of Wash
- 4:53that Wilder's in, put him in with Dave Allen,
- 4:55bro. Yeah, I was going to say Dave Allen or Makudov.
- 5:00No, Dave Allen. Makudov's too dangerous at this
- 5:03stage. To be fair, we saw how it went when Wilder
- 5:09fought Audley Harrison. Who knows? It'd be pretty
- 5:14impressive if he became the first guy to drop
- 5:16Dave Allen. That'd be pretty crazy, huh? Considering
- 5:20that Dave Allen has zero defense and has been
- 5:23taking just pastings from every top guy. He'd
- 5:27be the American Dave Allen at that point. Not
- 5:30true. Wilder's already gotten stopped too many
- 5:33times. Yeah, you're right. Dave Allen quits.
- 5:36Dave Allen gets tired and quits. It's different.
- 5:39Different breeds. I mean... It would be pretty
- 5:42cool to see him fight someone like Andy Ruiz.
- 5:45Is Ruiz still fighting? Does Ruiz still fight?
- 5:49He had a hand injury when he fought Gerald Miller
- 5:52in August. I don't know how, bro. That's got
- 5:57to be like hitting a pillow. I mean, that would
- 6:00be a pretty good fight, too, is him versus Gerald
- 6:01Miller. Yeah. Wilder and Gerald Miller. I just
- 6:05think, like, I want to see Wilder get at least,
- 6:07like, one more crazy knockout. Yeah. Like, I
- 6:11don't think Wilder's, like, in it for competitive
- 6:13fights anymore. Like, you kind of just have to
- 6:15treat him like a circus attraction and see if
- 6:18he actually recovers. Jake Paul versus Deontay
- 6:21Wilder? Yeah, like, he's kind of, like, again,
- 6:26he took seven rounds to beat up a guy on, what
- 6:30did he even fight? What promotion did he even
- 6:32fight on? BLK Prime. BLK. Oh, my God. Yeah, so
- 6:36he's laundering money now. Listen, man, you will
- 6:40not be able to convince me that BLK Prime is
- 6:43a real, real promotion. I don't think it is.
- 6:48You can't. You just can't. You can't convince
- 6:51me that anyone would pay Crawford $10 million
- 6:53to fight David Evanesian. Is that who he was
- 6:58fighting on there? Yep, yep. And they didn't
- 7:00even give him... And his gloves exploded during
- 7:04the fight. I'm shocked we didn't... I don't even
- 7:10believe in Terrence Crawford Glovegate on that
- 7:12one. I believe in, like, Everlast gloves being
- 7:14shit. No, dude. Like, that's not Glovegate. That's
- 7:20Crawford's sponsor being terrible. Or just bad
- 7:25pick. Yeah. Oh, yeah, sometimes you get a bad
- 7:28pick. Especially because they're MX. They're
- 7:30MX2s, so... Those are good gloves. Supposed to
- 7:33be good gloves. No, the MX1s are great. The MX2s
- 7:36have inconsistent stitching. And hence, explosions.
- 7:43Hence, the explosion, yeah. Yeah. Anyways. Ossie
- 7:49Card, December 6th. They're bringing out all
- 7:52the old favorites. Jaya Pataya, Justice Hooney,
- 7:56Jason Maloney. There's a bunch of other names
- 7:59on there that I don't recognize. I'm in the weeds
- 8:02with this shit and I don't know who these people
- 8:03are. They gotta bring out Julius Long for one
- 8:07of these. He might be on the card and I just
- 8:10don't know who he is. Julius Long is retired
- 8:14now. He was 18 and 28. He was 7 -1 and did not
- 8:22know how to fight at all so they'd always bring
- 8:24out a prospect to beat the shit out of him. God.
- 8:29and it was kind of hilarious to see a seven one
- 8:31guy like flail around like he has no idea what
- 8:33he's doing especially because he weighed like
- 8:38300 350 pounds it's pretty funny kept me awake
- 8:46when i watched joseph parker jr pha man i forgot
- 8:51that happened yeah that's how you know we're
- 8:55into that boxing we watched terrible fights for
- 8:58Minimal amusement. At like 3 in the morning?
- 9:03That was like 7 in the morning. Oh, yeah, for
- 9:06you. That shit killed me. Besides the point,
- 9:12hopefully... Wait, no, Jason Mulaney isn't the
- 9:17one that had the misfortune of fighting Nakatani.
- 9:25No, that was Andrew. How's Andrew? This one had
- 9:28the misfortune of fighting Inoue. Yes. Yeah.
- 9:40It's still unfortunate because you're basically
- 9:44dying. Shaving years off of your life. Count
- 9:51how many hundreds of thousands you made and take
- 9:53that many years off your life. At least the Inoue
- 9:58one was pretty clean. It wasn't that bad. Andrew
- 10:02getting completely flatlined. After a hard, hard
- 10:06fight. Yeah, after taking a beating, getting
- 10:09flatlined by Junto, that was scary. But that's
- 10:19the Aussie card. Yeah. We'll cover it, probably.
- 10:24We'll talk about it when it happens. I mean,
- 10:27Justice Hooney, we'll talk about him in a little
- 10:31bit, but he had a good fight with Fabio Wardley.
- 10:36He could use the old Amir Khan track and say,
- 10:40never been outboxed. Man, I was so excited to
- 10:47see Wardley getting picked apart and losing.
- 10:51I read that my stream was a little behind. My
- 10:55legal stream on DAZN .com slash Fabio Wardley
- 10:58was lagging behind a little bit. And I just see
- 11:03the chat go like, fuck. And I'm like, what is
- 11:08it? And it sounds like, no. And then it catches
- 11:12up and I was like, oh, fuck's sake, man. I still
- 11:15got to see Fabio Wardley on my fucking screen.
- 11:20Tozone .com slash Fabio Wardley. Fabio Wardley
- 11:26to me is like a Twilight Zone Dave Allen where
- 11:28like if Dave Allen was athletic at all. Lost
- 11:3320 pounds? If he was athletic at all. Tried.
- 11:37You heard me. If he was athletic. No, if he was
- 11:40athletic at all. and, like, had stamina and power
- 11:42and anything, like, any athletic aspect to his
- 11:46game, that's Fabio Wardley. You think David Allen
- 11:50is that... That's the analog? Like, athletic?
- 11:56No, because, like, he just, like, Fabio Wardley
- 11:58just gets, like, Homer Simpson's opponents, low
- 12:01-key. High -key? What are you talking about?
- 12:04High -key. Like, he just, like, he gets the shit
- 12:07smacked out of him. And then he just, like, with
- 12:10these bursts of, like, energy, he just loves
- 12:15his opponent. Happens every damn time. It's just,
- 12:19like, again, Eric Molina had him wobbled. Had
- 12:24Fabio Wardley? Yeah, if you watch, it's hilarious.
- 12:28Eric Molina, like, wobbles him. And then Fabio
- 12:30Wardley, like, doesn't even register being wobbled
- 12:33and just, like. Explodes at him again and knocks
- 12:37him out. Eric Molina was the school teacher,
- 12:42wasn't he? I'm pretty sure. I would not want
- 12:47Eric Molina to teach my kids. I think Dishy said
- 12:53something on Discord about how Alfred Molina
- 12:57would have provided more resistance. For the
- 13:01Broadway actor. You mean Otto Octavius? Yes,
- 13:07that too. I preferred him in... How is it called?
- 13:11Fiddler on the Roof. Fiddler on the Roof. That's
- 13:14the one. He was good in that. Bobby on the Roof.
- 13:20Bobby on the Roof. I don't know why I said that.
- 13:24Still, it's a good one. All right. Besides the
- 13:28point, Justice Hooney never been outboxed. Moving
- 13:33to some recaps. We've got two good cards. Which
- 13:36one do we want to do first? See, I have a lot
- 13:41more to say about boots than I do about my personal
- 13:45inspiration, David, the Doncaster De La Hoya
- 13:49Allen. The Doncaster De La Hoya. Oh, my God.
- 13:55What other nicknames does he have? He's got the
- 13:58White Rhino. I think that's kind of the joke
- 14:06is that he wears like a banana hammock when he
- 14:09goes to weigh -ins. Yeah. It's funny. Doncaster
- 14:18dummy. Yeah, lots of stuff. Meat enjoyer. At
- 14:25this point, yeah. So, we're going first. Out
- 14:30of Sheffield, Josh Padley versus Reese Belotti.
- 14:37That's the only one I really wanted to talk about.
- 14:40Yeah, see, somehow he's better at being an electrician
- 14:44than boxing, and I still would not want him to
- 14:47fix my power. He should be smart and start his
- 14:53own electrical company. Yeah, just start. He's
- 14:57made for middle management. That's what Joe Smith
- 15:02Jr. did. Just took his boxing winnings and moved
- 15:06them into his own company. You know what? He
- 15:11owns New Jersey. He owns Long Island Landscaping
- 15:14now. Yeah, he does. That's a good gig. He runs
- 15:17Long Island Landscaping. He probably enjoys it
- 15:20too. He still brings his belts to the job site
- 15:24too. It's pretty funny. Just in case anybody
- 15:27wants pictures. That's so cool, man. I would
- 15:31take a picture. To be fair, if I won a world
- 15:33title, you would have to peel that off me. I'd
- 15:37have that shit in the shower. The shower is crazy.
- 15:40I'd be showering with that thing. Yeah, I would
- 15:43take it with me everywhere. I respect it, bro.
- 15:46Everyone would be like, oh, what's that? Yeah,
- 15:47what's your name? Former WBC world champion.
- 15:53Blank. Like, every time I'd introduce myself
- 15:58like that. The Doncaster De La Hoya. How have
- 16:01you never heard of me? Exactly, dude. Like, if
- 16:06you won a world title. And you got, like, one
- 16:09of the nice ones, like, with actual gold on it
- 16:11and everything. And you had to go wear construction.
- 16:14Would you not wear it to wear construction? Like,
- 16:16you'd wear it everywhere. Yeah. Montana Love,
- 16:22if you remember that name, he won a regional
- 16:25belt. And he took that shit with him everywhere.
- 16:30Honestly, it was a WBA one, so those things look
- 16:34nice. I would also. I, too, would do that. It
- 16:37was like the North America Continental something
- 16:40or other. Listen, if it was any belt other than
- 16:43the English one, I'd take it with me. The English
- 16:48belt is less valuable than a belt from the Wiggles.
- 16:53That's that one that was like a brown leather
- 16:56strap that had just small little shits on it.
- 17:02Yeah, like they just put a couple tin dinner
- 17:04plates from a soup kitchen on it. Here, I can
- 17:11buy one off eBay. 125 Great Britain pounds. For
- 17:20a British title? Yeah. Look at this thing. I
- 17:25posted the chat. It's so ugly. Yeah, that thing
- 17:29is fucking hideous. Like, this is not a belt
- 17:32I would be proud of to wear. Like, let me find
- 17:36a WBA regional belt. I think he had an IBF North
- 17:41Americas. Yeah, those are still pretty cool.
- 17:45Like, here. I found a WBA Asia East champion
- 17:48belt. And compare it with the English one. At
- 17:52least it looks fire. I would take the WBA one
- 17:55easily. Yeah, like, I'm wearing that shit to
- 17:58the shower once again. Like, they look sick.
- 18:01So, like, why does the English one look like
- 18:03such a piece of shit? The prestige of the lineage
- 18:10and not the appearance of the belt. I was going
- 18:14to say, the British Empire doesn't even exist
- 18:17anymore. You can't even get your colonized peoples
- 18:22to say it looks good at gunpoint. There's no
- 18:25one to say it looks good anymore. But there's
- 18:31no one to tell you, yes, sir, you're such a great
- 18:33champion of England. maybe one won't be lucky
- 18:39yeah like nah i'm sure this thing banged in the
- 18:4460s before like belts looked good but that one
- 18:51shit the wbc gave uh tyson fury when he beat
- 18:54who was it billion oh yeah Yeah, the UK belt
- 19:00or whatever. That looked better, though. That
- 19:02looked fucking good. And, like, I'm not British
- 19:05by any stretch, but that looked pretty good.
- 19:10When Floyd Mayweather fought fucking McGregor.
- 19:14The money belt? The money belt. It was, like,
- 19:17gator skin. Gator skin and diamond bedazzling.
- 19:20I found a picture. This is... Okay, I would carry
- 19:25this just because of the value. I wouldn't carry
- 19:28it because of the value. Oh, man. No, I'd carry
- 19:32it, to be fair, if I were that rich. Oh, yeah.
- 19:35If I were that rich. Shinada just said to my
- 19:42picture of the British one, this belt sucks.
- 19:45Because it fucking does. She's speaking facts.
- 19:48She has no context. This belt sucks. Looks like
- 19:53something I made. You probably make something
- 19:56better. Yeah, with no context, she already knows
- 19:59what we're talking about. With no context, you
- 20:00already know. This belt fucking sucks. So I can't
- 20:05even blame these people. Anyways, Josh Padley,
- 20:09win any title but the English one and then start
- 20:13your own electrician's outfit. David Allen drops
- 20:19the ball versus Arslanbek Makhmadov. No, he was
- 20:23in a round shape. He was the ball, and he didn't
- 20:28get dropped. You put it that way. That's a silver
- 20:33lining if I've heard one. I felt like David Allen
- 20:36was doing a lot better than the commentary was
- 20:39saying. Like, the commentary were just straight
- 20:42doomers constantly saying, oh, Makhmudov is really,
- 20:46really piecing him up, and David Allen isn't
- 20:49doing shit. I don't know. I wasn't seeing the
- 20:54same thing. Makhmadov was made of paper. I think
- 20:59that if David Allen, like what Josh said earlier,
- 21:02had athleticism, I think he probably would have
- 21:06beaten Makhmadov. If he was in shape ever, he
- 21:13probably stops him. If he cared. Not even if
- 21:18he cared. At this point, I think he's just stuck
- 21:20like that. Like with the jelly belly? Like, my
- 21:25cope, if I put on my cope hat, because David
- 21:28Allen is an inspiration to every fat, retarded
- 21:32keyboard warrior on the planet for getting off
- 21:35his couch and fighting world -ranked opponents.
- 21:39If I put on my cope hat, Makhmudov held way too
- 21:42much and should have been DQ'd. Yeah, that was
- 21:47a... Egregious. That was kind of a bummy fight,
- 21:50yeah. That was pretty fucking egregious. If I
- 21:52put on my reasonable hat, why did Dave keep walking
- 21:55into the clinches? He could have just stood still
- 21:57and, like, Makhlodov would have missed his clinch
- 21:59horribly and you could have punched him. Like,
- 22:04again, if Dave Allen... Dave Allen would be a
- 22:07great boxer if he could box, had IQ, good coaching,
- 22:10athleticism, footwork, whatever. Time to go to
- 22:15Ronnie Shields. Time to go to Victor Conte, bro.
- 22:20First, you gotta fix the athleticism. That snack
- 22:23shit. Get him on that Damon Haney snack shit.
- 22:28Snack pack. I just can't. I always get excited
- 22:34for Dave Allen fights because they're like a
- 22:37guaranteed bum fight. You know? Like, it's the
- 22:41same excitement you get from clicking on, like,
- 22:43it's the same juvenile excitement you got before
- 22:45you watched boxing clicking on, like, a Street
- 22:47Beeps video. Worldstar. Yeah, like, that's, like,
- 22:52that, like, it's that type of, like, juvenile
- 22:54excitement. Like, you know it's gonna be bad
- 22:56boxing, but also there's just some allure about
- 22:59two fat dudes kicking the shit out of each other.
- 23:03It's never boring. Caveman and Fat Dude. It's
- 23:09never boring. When it's boring, it's at least
- 23:13kind of funny. But that's my take on the fat
- 23:18British man losing to the slightly less fat Neanderthal.
- 23:25Honestly, you should give Mac Moodle to Richard
- 23:27Torres now. No, I said give Mac Moodle to AJ.
- 23:31Oh. AJ does need a comeback. I was going to say,
- 23:36give Makludov AJ. It'd be so funny to see how
- 23:39Eddie Hearn tries to sell it as, oh, he beat
- 23:41Dave Allen. So he's clearly a world beater. And
- 23:45then AJ, like, probably jabs him and he, like,
- 23:50disintegrates. Honestly, I'd rather see Dave
- 23:53Allen versus AJ. I don't think AJ could knock
- 23:59down Dave Allen. The bet isn't. Does Dave Allen
- 24:03win? The betting line is, does AJ knockdown?
- 24:07How many knockdowns, if any? Honestly, I mean,
- 24:12Dave Allen might have a chance of knocking out
- 24:16fucking AJ, dude. If he homers Simpson's AJ,
- 24:20homers Simpson's AJ, homers Simpson's AJ in the
- 24:2310th round, I might fall out of my chair. That
- 24:27would be fucking funny, dude. It's so fucking
- 24:30funny. See, but now you're getting into the spirit
- 24:34of Dave Allen. You don't actually care about
- 24:36the boxing. It's a very juvenile pleasure you
- 24:40get out of Dave Allen. He's a 33 -year -old guy
- 24:46who used to pee in jugs and blow all of his fights.
- 24:49He would show up to a fight. He would wake up,
- 24:55pee in one of the jugs under his bed. Go blow
- 24:58his entire purse on the horses and then show
- 25:01up to fight like Luis Ortiz. Without training.
- 25:09He hasn't trained, by the way. His diet has been
- 25:11entirely like Hot Pockets and fish and chips.
- 25:16The Dillian White fight. The Dillian White fight.
- 25:20His coach had to drag him out of a pub to go
- 25:22get ready for his fight. It's a juvenile pleasure
- 25:25that you get from David Allen, but I don't think
- 25:27any other boxer is that much of a disgrace while
- 25:31not being outright hateable. They take themselves
- 25:36seriously. They take themselves seriously, and
- 25:42even the ones who are disgraces are usually evil.
- 25:45They're criminals. You can't root for them. This
- 25:48is just some guy. He's a disgrace. He's just
- 25:55some guy. Yeah. Like he's, he's absolutely, is
- 25:59he a disgrace to the sport? Yes. Like I've never
- 26:05seen a less professional boxer. Dave Allen versus
- 26:12Jake Paul. Jake Paul probably beats him by UD.
- 26:18Not even probably. Jake Paul does beat him by
- 26:21unanimous decision. You know what? Jake Paul
- 26:25fights Dave Allen and beats him and then gets
- 26:26the AJ fight. Like I'm saying here, it's comical.
- 26:34This guy's career is so fucking funny. He's just
- 26:36some guy who gets a knockout against a real...
- 26:42Like the Johnny Fisher duology. It's so funny.
- 26:49Because of how serious Johnny Fisher takes himself
- 26:52as a real boxer. And how this fat dude who pees
- 26:57in jugs and somehow has a kid shows up. Beats
- 27:02the fuck out of him. Kind of like watching Butterbean,
- 27:05you know? The things that Butterbean trained.
- 27:12Butterbean is more serious than this guy. Is
- 27:17that the heavyweight division for you? Oh, my
- 27:19God. That's what I mean. It's just, it's a juvenile
- 27:22pleasure to watch David Allen day in, day out.
- 27:25I hope he never retires low -key. The only Dave
- 27:30Allen fight I would watch, not Dave Allen, but
- 27:32the only Lawrence Coley fight I would watch would
- 27:34be if he fought Dave Allen. No, you don't want
- 27:36to watch that. He'd just, like, they'd be so
- 27:37bad. This would be the worst fight ever conceived.
- 27:41But you never know. It's that juvenile, like,
- 27:43love. David Allen. He might shit him. He might.
- 27:47He might shit him. He might also quit halfway
- 27:50through the fourth round out of, like, ah, fuck,
- 27:52I didn't train for this. I'm tired. I might just
- 27:57be a fan of Dave Allen now. I'm not gonna lie.
- 27:59Yeah, I think you've converted me. I'm glad.
- 28:02I'm glad I've been able to, like, I'm glad, like,
- 28:05you didn't get it. Nobody got it because, like,
- 28:07everyone on the server who used to watch Dave
- 28:09Allen fights, like, basically quit watching boxing.
- 28:13I need to sell the newest generation of why I
- 28:16like this is the only British fighter I ever
- 28:19like and it's because he's like he's actually
- 28:22a disgrace to the sport in every sense and that's
- 28:26why we love him he's probably the worst boxer
- 28:29to have ever lived in terms of people who actually
- 28:32do their fucking jobs like imagine a janitor
- 28:37who smears shit on the walls Like, that is Dave
- 28:42Allen from boxing. But he's funny, and I like
- 28:47him. And that's all I care. Imagine the janitor.
- 28:56You can't even argue. Like, I'm so right. Oh,
- 29:06my God. You're going to get an article about
- 29:10this now because I've been kicking back the Crawford
- 29:12one in order to write more articles. Anything
- 29:19more for David Allen versus Makuro? Never retire.
- 29:24I hope he wastes all his money on the horses
- 29:26on his back against, like, Usyk. When Usyk runs
- 29:31out of money. Usyk's on his way out the door.
- 29:35I hope he's back against the next generation
- 29:38of top prospects at heavyweight. Somehow. As
- 29:44for Makhmudov, I hope he rematches Guido and
- 29:46loses even worse. It'd be really funny. I like
- 29:49Guido. Reminds me. On the undercard of Enes Lima.
- 29:57Oh, right. There was an undercard to that. Yeah,
- 30:02Guido Vianello. Stops him in five. Stops Alexis
- 30:08Barrier. Or Alexi, I guess I should say. Alexi
- 30:14Barrier. He's a Quebec fighter. Not a Quebec
- 30:24fighter I particularly care about. He was always
- 30:28going to die. Really? It was kind of funny seeing
- 30:35guys have hope in Barriere, and I'm like, this
- 30:38is a Canadian heavyweight, not named Lennox Lewis.
- 30:42Are you serious? Yeah, there's not a whole lot
- 30:44to be hoping for here. Like, he beat up a bunch
- 30:48of, like, fat Mexicans in Quebec City. No, not
- 30:52even. Lacklemy was his last fight against a fat
- 30:54Mexican. The Lacklemy Casino. The Hilton in Lacklemy
- 31:01is actually a pretty nice casino. I will say,
- 31:04having seen it. But prestigious? It is not. It
- 31:10is a place where first -year university students
- 31:12go and gamble their father's money. I mean, how
- 31:19do you guys feel about the Richard Torres win
- 31:20over Pianello after this win over Perrier? Do
- 31:27you think it ages well? Do you feel the same?
- 31:30i feel like guido is like a non -entity in terms
- 31:32of like he like he's the perfect like gatekeeper
- 31:37type but like heavyweight is so heavyweight is
- 31:41so thin though that like he could talk himself
- 31:47into an aj fight yeah like vianello could totally
- 31:50like just get a random fight against the top
- 31:53guy and equally like could stay at this level
- 31:56forever And, like, beating him doesn't prove
- 32:00you belong at the top level. But losing to him
- 32:04for sure means you're out. Yeah. Like, kind of
- 32:10crazy seeing what he's up to. I was thinking
- 32:16about it, too. Regarding Rich Torres and Guido
- 32:20Vanillo. I mean, because Guido's put a match
- 32:23from now, right? He's... Probably. I think he
- 32:26is a matchroom fighter. Man, I just need Torres
- 32:28to step up and lose already. I think, honestly,
- 32:33Torres should break away from the top -ranked...
- 32:36Yeah, no shit. Honestly, he should go matchroom.
- 32:41If Torres wants a long -term career that isn't
- 32:46him getting found out quickly, he needs to stay
- 32:49in that top -ranked protection program real bad.
- 32:52Yeah. Because I watched him at the Olympics get
- 32:55completely, like, turned the paste by Jalilov.
- 33:00Yeah. Like... Like, knocked out. It's not like
- 33:03where he lost a decision, he got knocked out.
- 33:05No, he got turned the paste in the Olympic finals.
- 33:08Yeah. And I was like, no one can tell me. I didn't
- 33:12watch that. I had nothing to do. I was a high
- 33:15schooler with no friends. I was a 12th grader
- 33:17with no friends during COVID. So, I was watching
- 33:19that shit. Well, it wasn't like it was a bad
- 33:23fight, you know? No, but he just was not competitive
- 33:26in this. Like, he got turned the pace by Jalilov,
- 33:29which, like, he hasn't improved since the amateurs,
- 33:32so logic follows that any top guy turns him in
- 33:36the pace reasonably as well. Especially because
- 33:39he's 26. He's not like a young prospect who will
- 33:43bounce back 20 times like Dubois did. We'll see
- 33:48what happens. He's going to be like 28 when he
- 33:50gets his actual chance, and then we'll see. For
- 33:55sure, though, if he wants a little more name
- 33:58recognition, he should go to Matchroom because
- 34:00they have more. Yeah, go fight Dave Allen, bro.
- 34:05I need to see more Dave Allen. I have Torres
- 34:09winning. I have Torres probably stopping him,
- 34:11but give me more Dave Allen. Smear more shit
- 34:17on the walls, Mr. Janitor. Exactly. If you really
- 34:22hate Torres, you match him up with Fabio Wardley
- 34:25immediately. You watch as Torres wins 11 rounds
- 34:29and then gets sent into the Shadow Realm with
- 34:31a dented skull. If you really hate Richard Torres,
- 34:39you want him to fight Fabio Wardley. Point blank,
- 34:45period. Speaking of Jalolov, he did fight on
- 34:50the 6th. He didn't look great. Vitaly Kudakov
- 34:55was the opponent. He did not look... He didn't
- 34:59look great against some guy. Rando Russian. Yeah,
- 35:057 and 4 heavyweight with 3 knockouts from, like,
- 35:08Chechnya. Or Dagestan, or wherever. Jalalov,
- 35:16see, the reason why I choose to make fun of Torres
- 35:20for losing to Jalalov that badly in amateur boxing
- 35:24instead of rating Jalalov is because Jalalov
- 35:29very much has the one pace. He throws ones and
- 35:32twos at a very pedestrian pace and has no ambition
- 35:36to actually move up in the professionals or even
- 35:39to really be there when he fights. He kind of,
- 35:43he throws ones and twos and he doesn't really
- 35:45have much of an idea of what to do when they
- 35:47don't happen. And don't land. He has one gear.
- 35:53He has no, like, like he already tested defense
- 35:58because he's so big and his jab keeps people
- 36:01away. His footwork, he's always coming forward
- 36:04so it doesn't really matter. Defense, like. he
- 36:08throws ones and twos in the same gear and they
- 36:10either knock the guy out or he looks like and
- 36:13since his since his best opponent has been like
- 36:21camille sokolovsky and curtis harper yeah he's
- 36:25gonna look better than he is well you know who
- 36:31didn't who doesn't look like geron ennis boots
- 36:36Man, I gotta eat my crow here. I really thought
- 36:39Lima was gonna give him a better fight than that.
- 36:42I really did. Liam could have been Virgil and
- 36:49I still would have been like, yup, that's how
- 36:53it went with Boots. It feels great to actually
- 36:58be right on a guy and for them not to be a fucking
- 37:01bust when you're high on a guy from the very
- 37:03start. It feels great. I will say that Boots,
- 37:09that performance, I knew he was going to get
- 37:11at Lima. I mean, we just didn't know when. Yeah.
- 37:17But the thing is that at the same time, first
- 37:22round knockout and the way he did it, oh my God,
- 37:25it was beautiful. I'm not going to say Lima is
- 37:31all that and hype him up because Lima is Lima.
- 37:35Yeah. But I will say that for a lot of people
- 37:38that were going, like, the boots is potential,
- 37:40man. Like, no, he's, like... Like, I'm glad he
- 37:46had a spot where his highlight can actually circulate
- 37:50online with his name on it so people know who
- 37:53he is. Because everyone's... Like, if you look
- 37:55at boxing highlight compilations, he's been on
- 37:58them in his showbox days. Yeah. It's just...
- 38:03His name is never on them. He finally has highlights
- 38:06with his name on them, and he's there. He's ready.
- 38:10I think the Virgil fight, he's going to smoke
- 38:14Virgil and everything, but I'm glad he's getting
- 38:17these names. He's no longer a potential man.
- 38:22I will say for the Lima fight, I think everybody
- 38:27besides Virgil at 154, I don't see them doing
- 38:30the same way that they did Lima. I think Boots,
- 38:34the way that Boots did it too was just that uppercut
- 38:38was nasty. No, but it's just like the... How
- 38:41he tricked, how he made Lima fall into his trap.
- 38:45You know? Again, I've said, I've said, I've said
- 38:48like the part, probably the most dangerous part
- 38:49about Boots is that like the way he steps up
- 38:53his game to how he wants to try, which means
- 38:55we have, we still haven't seen like an upper
- 38:57ceiling for Boots. I don't think we have. That's
- 39:01going to come when we... We have yet to see his
- 39:04upper ceiling. But probably the most dangerous
- 39:07part because, like, people will poke at how he
- 39:12has somewhat of a leaky defense, but, I mean,
- 39:14nobody's been a KO threat to him, for the record,
- 39:17for him to actually care about defense. He has
- 39:21a chin. He has a hell of a chin. I don't know
- 39:25if it's really been tested yet too much. If you
- 39:28look at the Via fight, the shots he knocks Via
- 39:30out with, Via catches them right clean at the
- 39:33same time. Is Roman Via a hard puncher though?
- 39:38Yes. Extremely hard puncher. He's like a club
- 39:43level fighter with world level power. Yeah, like
- 39:46straight up. The only reason he... I don't know
- 39:50too much about Romelu Villa, though. That's what
- 39:52I'm saying. What's the best guy he knocked out?
- 39:55What's the best guy he knocked out? If it wasn't
- 39:58for the ref, he basically broke Rashidi Ellis'
- 40:00face in the last round. He was getting owned
- 40:04for the entire fight. And then he knocked Rashidi
- 40:06Ellis down three or four times. Shit. Okay. Yeah.
- 40:12And broke his face. Yeah, that's what I mean.
- 40:16Like, he is the most club -level guy you'll ever
- 40:18see. But, like, getting caught clean by Roman
- 40:23Villa is no joke. Yeah, you know what? Same with
- 40:31Avanisian. Avanisian is also kind of like a club
- 40:34-level guy with good, solid power. And, like,
- 40:41Ennis just takes the shot. He doesn't even try
- 40:46and defend it. He sees it, takes it. That's it.
- 40:50So I think that's probably the most threatening
- 40:52part of it, where, like, let's say Virgil does
- 40:55get to him with some offense. Virgil will be
- 40:58staring down the barrel of a loaded gun. I don't
- 41:01know. With boots. I mean, I still think that
- 41:04Virgil is going to give him a good fight. I still
- 41:06think, as biased as I am in this, I still think
- 41:10that Virgil has a chance of winning. I have a
- 41:1450 -50 now. After that fight, I have a 50 -50.
- 41:16I just think Virgil needs to have intangibles
- 41:20he hasn't shown. I don't mean intangibles like
- 41:23having a dog or anything. He has a dog. I'm saying
- 41:26Virgil needs God -level chin and recovery that
- 41:30we haven't seen from him yet. I will say that
- 41:33from the Bojack fight, he got it twice. Again,
- 41:37Bojack is not the greatest. at least from what
- 41:42i've seen now yeah he doesn't have um he has
- 41:46power but he's not like world and russian power
- 41:50yeah exactly it's not and it's not it's not power
- 41:52that like they both check will catch you with
- 41:55the power and it's power but it's the thing with
- 41:57boots is that like it's fast you don't see it
- 42:00speed yeah like there's a he he's he's obviously
- 42:04fearful but like just the way he he crafts his
- 42:08counters like you don't see it either So, and
- 42:12that's like, again, Virgil will need a crazy
- 42:15chin or crazy awareness to see, like, to be able
- 42:20to stare down the barrel of that loaded gun and
- 42:23get offense off. I will say that Virgil, he has
- 42:27a really underrated defense. He has a pretty
- 42:30sophisticated high guard. When he does use it,
- 42:33when he does use it, in the match -em -up fight,
- 42:35he set up some traps. Oh, for sure. It was really
- 42:40nice to see. Again, that's why I mentioned Boots.
- 42:44I think Boots wins if they trade, though. I don't
- 42:49know. Because at the same time, yes, Boots knocked
- 42:52out Lima, but I mean, Virgil has beaten the better
- 42:59opponents at 1 -3 -4. For the barometer of if
- 43:02they trade shots, who wins, Virgil was... He
- 43:07had to box against Boachuk. Boots just blew up
- 43:13Villa while taking overhand rights straight to
- 43:19the chin and not even wobbling. I mean, at the
- 43:24same time, can you handle a shot from Virgil?
- 43:27Yeah, probably. Again, Roman Villa is like, if
- 43:33you had a character creator... You basically
- 43:35put, like, on a scale of 1 to 10, you put a 1
- 43:37in everything and stick an 11 in power. My thing
- 43:41is, if he really had an 11 in power, why didn't
- 43:44he knock out Boots? You know? I feel like if
- 43:46he had, like, crazy power... That's Boots' chin,
- 43:48though. That's what I say about Boots' awareness
- 43:50and his chin. He had the awareness to see it
- 43:53coming and the chin to soak it. I would say maybe...
- 43:57I don't know. I would say that Boots' chin hasn't
- 44:01been tested yet just because... I mean, again...
- 44:04It's a guy that, if he really did have a lot
- 44:06of power, he would have knocked out Boots. Boots
- 44:08would have respected his power. I know. I feel
- 44:12like we'll see when the fight happens, if Boots
- 44:14really respects Virgil or not. Yeah. Because
- 44:17I still, like, again, we've seen Virgil's upper
- 44:19ceiling tested. I still don't think we've seen
- 44:24all of Boots. Yeah. No, you know what? And that's...
- 44:28Like, he's still potential man, but, like, it's
- 44:32potential man in that, like, you got to see him
- 44:34fight someone now. There's no more. I agree and
- 44:39I disagree with you to an extent. I feel like
- 44:41we know how Virgil gets when he's taken to his
- 44:44limit. But I feel like he still has a ceiling
- 44:48he hasn't reached yet regarding his skill. Yeah.
- 44:50You know? If that makes any sense. Because mostly
- 44:55he's relied on being able to get guys out, right?
- 44:58Yeah. Yeah. Man, I'm still... I'm still chowing
- 45:02down on my fucking crow over here. I was talking
- 45:06a lot of shit about Luisma Lima. I'm just, like,
- 45:10I'm happy we see it, though. The obvious, obvious
- 45:13talent. Yes. Present. Yeah. Undeniable proof.
- 45:19Yeah, like, it's not just, like, oh, but... Like,
- 45:22the thing is that you should have, like... It's
- 45:25the stage, I guess. The fact that he has a highlight.
- 45:28I don't know. You should have been sold on Ennis,
- 45:34realistically, when he beat the fuck out of Lipinets.
- 45:37The Lipinets fight is when you should have been
- 45:40sold. I think Lipinets is a better opponent than
- 45:43Romain Villa. Oh, I know. Absolutely. I'm just
- 45:48saying the Villa fight in regards to Ennis' chin.
- 45:52Because, again, You don't trade with Via. Via's
- 45:56fight right before boots was a perfect lesson
- 45:59in not trading with Via. Again, Rashidi Ellis
- 46:07had his face fucking broken by Via. This guy's
- 46:12a horrible boxer. Straight up. Club level fighter.
- 46:16As Leo said, club level fighter with this power
- 46:19is insane. World level. And even then, I'm not
- 46:23going to glaze Karen at Chukazadian at all because
- 46:27I've already gone on a couple tangents on this
- 46:30podcast before about how he's an incredibly negative
- 46:32fighter. But there's also a non -zero chance
- 46:36that he can probably end up in the mix in a dead
- 46:40welterweight division. Chukazian was fighting.
- 46:45He fought the same day as Ennis. And he looked
- 46:49good. He looked good. Yeah. He got a stoppage,
- 46:54if I'm not mistaken. It says UD. What was that?
- 46:58No, no, UD. That was earlier. Yeah, he got a
- 47:00stoppage. I saw it on Twitter. Yeah, that's right.
- 47:03So those wins are aging nicely. They'll age.
- 47:07And I think there's going to be a guy who they
- 47:12think boots isn't all that and Chukadzadian's
- 47:17easy pickings at some point if he floats around
- 47:20the rankings. At 147. There's not a whole lot
- 47:26going on there. No, so let's say Norman beats
- 47:29Haney, thinks he's top shit. It's very realistic
- 47:33that we see Chuka Zadian in there, and Chuka
- 47:36Zadian gives him a much harder time. The one
- 47:42thing I will say about boots is, and Virgil,
- 47:45by the way, going back to that a little bit,
- 47:47Virgil has the better trainer, absolutely. You
- 47:52think he's better than Bozy? Bozy's a solid trainer,
- 47:54though. I am not sold on Bozy the same way I'm
- 47:58not sold on, like, Virgil Hunter. Because, again,
- 48:01both of these guys just happen to be given the
- 48:04best talent ever to exist. It's really tough
- 48:07to fumble it. Because it's not like Wilder, where,
- 48:10like, Wilder was crude material with potential.
- 48:13Guys like Andre Ward and Boots are, like, you
- 48:16were just given a complete product. Well, Virgil
- 48:20Hunter had other guys like Amir Khan and Abner
- 48:24Maris at the tail end of his career. Yeah, but
- 48:25not from the start. Oh, from the start. Okay.
- 48:28Like I'm saying, he got given them and he didn't
- 48:32really do much with them. Made them more negative
- 48:36fighters? In Khan's case, yes. Maris, no. For
- 48:42Khan, that was a necessity. Yeah, like for Khan,
- 48:44he kind of got Khan to embrace his vulnerabilities,
- 48:47which is... There's too many of them already.
- 48:51But that's what I mean. The verdict is out on
- 48:53these trainers because you haven't seen them
- 48:56work except for with their masterwork that was
- 48:59given to them. Bozy has Stephen Fulton. Yeah.
- 49:04That's also a complete product being put into
- 49:07your... Into your hands. Yeah. Like Ennis. Say
- 49:12what you will. Oh, it's Ennis' kid. Like Ennis?
- 49:15If you fucked up with a guy of Ennis' caliber,
- 49:20what are you doing? Someone like Eddie Reynoso
- 49:23would do that shit. I generally think Eddie Reynoso
- 49:28is a negative trainer. Hey, Reynoso did the best
- 49:31he could with Canelo. But again, Canelo walked
- 49:33into his door, into his gym as a supremely good
- 49:40raw talent. And he was even trained by Eddie
- 49:45at the beginning. Yeah, it was Chepo. That's
- 49:48what I mean. I'm not sold on Bozy until we see
- 49:53Boots get into a fight. He can't just blow the
- 49:57guy out. He seems like a good trainer. Oh, he's
- 50:03a good trainer. I'm not saying he's a bad trainer.
- 50:05I'm just saying you don't... He's definitely
- 50:11weaker than Robert Garcia. Yeah. He's not Robert.
- 50:14There you go, Garcia. Robert, like, the thing,
- 50:18like, the way I look at Robert Garcia, like,
- 50:20the best way to, like, Robert Garcia's best product,
- 50:23other than Bam, is that, like, look at Marcos
- 50:30Maidana before and after he came to Garcia. Oh,
- 50:35yeah. You took a guy who was basic, again, club
- 50:38fighter with enormous power. with bad nutrition
- 50:42and everything. Just generally a good fighter,
- 50:47but not a working world -level one. You made
- 50:54him be able to share the ring 24 rounds of Mayweather.
- 51:00Somewhat competently. That's what you want to
- 51:05see from a trainer, getting these fighters in
- 51:07the stable, really. At least tactically, right?
- 51:12I think AJ was unresponsive to Garcia rather
- 51:17than Garcia being a bad fit. How many trainers
- 51:21has AJ gone through? Exactly. AJ only responds
- 51:26to his buddies instead of... Garcia was a good
- 51:29fit. That was probably the best AJ ever looked
- 51:31that second fight with Usyk. But it's Usyk. What
- 51:40does Enes do next? The champions right now are
- 51:45Mertes Aliev with the IBF, Zayas with WBO, Fundora
- 51:49has WBC, and Abbas Barou with the WBA. I'm going
- 51:56to tell you this right now, dude. I'm going to
- 51:58tell you this right now. There's no chance he's
- 52:00getting Zayas. There's no chance he's getting
- 52:02Fundora. The rumor... He might get Murazailov,
- 52:06but Baru is the most likely option. The rumor
- 52:09right now is that he's going... Turkey's going
- 52:14to put together the... He's giving Boots a quick
- 52:18turnaround and having him fighting Baru. For
- 52:24the full title? In December or January on a ring
- 52:30card. Okay. and in a ring card that's the rumor
- 52:37right now and then that's the setup um virgil
- 52:42and uh ennis if virgil makes it past lubin i'm
- 52:47gonna say this that i feel like i i can't understand
- 52:51it but that's the kind of dangerous i think well
- 52:55i like the thing is that it all hinges it all
- 52:59hinges on uh lubin and virgil because there's
- 53:02no risk for ennis Not against Baru. With Baru,
- 53:05no. That's the thing. You're just giving Ennis
- 53:09a belt, so that way the fight means something
- 53:11in terms of a belt situation. But doesn't a quick
- 53:15turnaround time like that, isn't that kind of
- 53:17dangerous? Not if your fight lasted two minutes.
- 53:22And you didn't take any damage. Two minutes,
- 53:25you took zero punches, and it's a weight class
- 53:28you're way more comfortable at. But I mean the
- 53:31amount of training he would be doing. He trains
- 53:34year in, year round. That guy doesn't have internet,
- 53:36dude. Do you follow his Instagram? I do follow
- 53:39his Instagram. I know what he does, but I just
- 53:41feel like being in training camp. This guy's
- 53:43in camp year round, dude. I haven't seen a post
- 53:46of him. I haven't seen a story post of him outside
- 53:48of the gym in two years. I'm just saying like
- 53:51on the mental psyche. I get the overtraining,
- 53:56but I feel like if Boots is overtraining, he's
- 53:59already doing that. He was posting shit on the
- 54:04treadmill today. No, no. I'll tell you this.
- 54:08You're right. I follow Boots on Instagram. He
- 54:10doesn't post anything else. I haven't seen him
- 54:13post anything regarding the club. Yeah, no. He's
- 54:15either at the gym or fight week promotion. Yeah.
- 54:21I don't see him outside of that gym. Yeah. He's
- 54:25doing sprints on the treadmill in a sweatsuit
- 54:28today. That is fucking bonkers. 13 hours ago.
- 54:33Here, I'll send it. I'll send it. That is fucking
- 54:39bananas. He is in a sweatsuit sprinting on a
- 54:43treadmill. Already. With the caption right back
- 54:46to it. He's always done this. So you think they
- 54:52gave that rumor some merit? Yeah. Like literally.
- 54:58Like here, right after he beat Stani Onus, a
- 55:01week later, he was posting sparring pictures.
- 55:05I feel like if they're going to put it in January,
- 55:07they're probably going to put it either co -main
- 55:09or T .O .P. Moe Shikuru. Yeah, like you said,
- 55:13it's going to be on a ring card. The rumor is
- 55:14that it's going to be on a ring card. A bow is
- 55:17the rumored opponent, but it doesn't really matter
- 55:20who it is. A bow is the one that makes the most
- 55:22sense for the belt. So that way, Virgil... boots
- 55:27is for a belt. If it's someone like where does
- 55:29I live? I don't know, dude. I don't think it's
- 55:33going to be what do you say? Baccarat? Yeah,
- 55:37Baccarat. It's not going to be Baccarat because
- 55:41actually non -zero chance it is Baccarat. If
- 55:47Lubin for whatever reason beats Virgil, it could
- 55:50be Baccarat. It's not going to be Pandora. I'll
- 55:53tell you right now. No, it's absolutely not.
- 55:56Not Fundora, not Zayas. I mean, if Fundora's
- 55:58here ducking Thurman, he's not fighting Boots.
- 56:01Yeah. Ducking Thurman. That's the fakest hand
- 56:05injury I've ever seen. You shouldn't even be,
- 56:07like, three weeks out from a world title fight,
- 56:09you should not be doing strenuous hard work.
- 56:12You should be making sure you're on weight. If
- 56:16you're out here breaking your hand sparring,
- 56:18and, like, no, it's not happening. You are not
- 56:21a Japanese fighter. another jab you are not a
- 56:27japanese fighter dude like like i'm for real
- 56:30like three weeks three like three weeks out from
- 56:33a world title fight you should not be breaking
- 56:36your hand on shit all right let's actually get

- 1:00:04That's okay. This is a broadcast that talks about

- 1:00:28have a laugh. So, as we were talking about before
- 1:00:32the break, Fundora Thurman postponed. Fundora
- 1:00:36injured? Question mark. It sucks. There's a lot
- 1:00:41of good fights on this. Not injured. Not injured
- 1:00:46or if injured, idiotic. Completely like, this
- 1:00:49is so stupid. Man, you really gotta wonder what
- 1:00:54happens with these fights that are on the undercard,
- 1:00:57because there's some good ones. Fucking, like,
- 1:01:00how many times has Fulton had, like, cancelled
- 1:01:02undercard fights, dude? He's gotta go start getting
- 1:01:04insurance for that. Yeah, no kidding. He's gotta
- 1:01:07do something. This fucking guy needs to get some
- 1:01:09insurance for that, because every time Fundora
- 1:01:12doesn't want to fight, like, a guy not from Australia.
- 1:01:18Fuck's sake, man. I was looking forward to Oshaki
- 1:01:23Foster versus Stephen Fulton. That too. I was
- 1:01:27really excited for that. Jesus Ramos and Shane
- 1:01:33Mosley Jr. is also a good fight. I like Jesus
- 1:01:36Ramos. Yeah, me too. Lining up for Carlos Adamas.
- 1:01:43Yeah, that's a banger. Even if Shane Mosley Jr.
- 1:01:47isn't the best, he comes to fight. Yeah. He comes
- 1:01:53to fight. He is a guy, and he's all right. The
- 1:01:59Oshaki -Foster -Steven -Fulton fight was going
- 1:02:01to be a banger. I'm pretty high on Fulton, and
- 1:02:05more than that, Foster is pretty him at 130.
- 1:02:15Yeah, it's interesting for Fulton to move up.
- 1:02:18He loses to Inouye, moves up a division. snags
- 1:02:23a title and then moves up again going for another
- 1:02:26one. Did you see his tweet? He said, fuck it,
- 1:02:29I'm moving to 147. That's probably what he doesn't
- 1:02:35have to cut. Yeah, but I think, honestly, if
- 1:02:40we're hating on Devin Haney, him and Haney are
- 1:02:42probably a good fight. 147 is kind of desolate.
- 1:02:48Steven Fulton would be tiny. Yeah, but I mean,
- 1:02:52there's no risk. I'm saying if he makes the stupid
- 1:02:59move going to 147, Haney, after losing to Norman,
- 1:03:02does need a bounce back. That is fucking crazy.
- 1:03:06And honestly, for Fulton, it's a good idea if
- 1:03:09he thinks he can actually do it because Haney
- 1:03:12is not a KO risk. Are you a retired Haney -iac?
- 1:03:19haney uh i was on i was on i was big on haney
- 1:03:23and then i'm like okay you know what like here
- 1:03:26let me let me pull up his box right because i
- 1:03:28need to get my timeline right devil haney devil
- 1:03:33yeah like i was like okay like gamboa lenares
- 1:03:39and like pedo diaz are like like okay like they're
- 1:03:44like they're still like quality opponents so
- 1:03:46it makes sense like a ud is still pretty good
- 1:03:48like you know the fights are fun whatever right
- 1:03:51he's totally gonna stop this fucking cambozos
- 1:03:56guy where like teofimo was literally dying in
- 1:04:01the ring and still almost stopped him um and
- 1:04:07then uh my eyes closed during round 7 of his
- 1:04:12first fight with Cambosos and didn't wake up
- 1:04:14until the decision was being read. Well done.
- 1:04:18And I'm like, oh, no. Okay, okay. Maybe I'm the
- 1:04:25problem here. Let's watch the second fight against
- 1:04:27Cambosos. I stayed awake the whole time, but,
- 1:04:30like, I can see why hating -ass top rank put
- 1:04:35a clinch counter in there. The ESPN clinch counter
- 1:04:43was hilarious, but there is a reason why it was
- 1:04:46happening, because he'd punch Cambosos twice
- 1:04:49and clinch, and get separated, and he'd punch
- 1:04:52Cambosos twice and clinch, and get separated.
- 1:04:55And it's not like these were, like, soft pity
- 1:04:57pat shots, though. He was winding up for home
- 1:05:00run shots against Cambosos, and, like, yeah,
- 1:05:03Cambosos' face looked fucked up, but, like, he
- 1:05:05wasn't gonna get knocked out. Haney hit him with
- 1:05:09a steel chair. Yeah, I'm sure Haney asked him
- 1:05:14in the back as well. How was my power? Yeah,
- 1:05:16that was embarrassing from Haney after the Linares
- 1:05:20fight. Almost gets stopped by Linares and he's
- 1:05:23here begging him about his power. Like, no, if
- 1:05:27you had power, Linares would not have felt confident
- 1:05:29enough to throw eight punches at your face. And
- 1:05:32didn't Linares go back on that in the future?
- 1:05:35Yeah, like an interview later, he's like, yeah,
- 1:05:37he's not that, not all that. I just felt like
- 1:05:43that was straight embarrassing, but I'm like,
- 1:05:45okay, sure. He was probably concussed from Linares
- 1:05:47taking eight straight punches at his face. The
- 1:05:51Lomachenko fight. I don't think Lomachenko robbed
- 1:05:54him, or he robbed Lomachenko. I think it was
- 1:05:57just a fight that was close because both corners
- 1:06:02are grossly incompetent. Like, if Haney used
- 1:06:07his length a little more or had any power, it
- 1:06:13would have been easily Haney's. And if Lomachenko
- 1:06:15kind of acknowledged that Haney can't hurt him
- 1:06:18and grown a pair, it would have been easily Lomachenko's.
- 1:06:23And that's on their corners. That's on their
- 1:06:27corners. Both fighters' corners failed them in
- 1:06:32that fight. Yeah. The coaching was really bad
- 1:06:36and the fight was rather sloppy for being a fight
- 1:06:38between two technicians. It was a fight between
- 1:06:44two technicians. It was actually a pretty good
- 1:06:46fight. I'm not saying it was entertaining, but
- 1:06:48it was sloppy because both corners failed the
- 1:06:50guys. The adjustment is super easy. For Haney,
- 1:06:54it's take a step back before throwing. Don't
- 1:06:58try and get up close with Lomachenko. With Lomachenko,
- 1:07:00it's hey, grow a pair. This guy can't fucking
- 1:07:02hurt you. So, Regis, like, that's, I mean, I'm
- 1:07:09not just, like, like, like, with Haney, like,
- 1:07:11it kind of, like, the first Kambosos, the Kambosos
- 1:07:13fights were, like, oh, my God. Like, it really
- 1:07:17doesn't matter who he's fighting. This guy is
- 1:07:19just a bit of a stinker. Really, that's when
- 1:07:24it hit him. The first time I fell asleep with
- 1:07:26Kambosos, I'm like, I can't do this anymore.
- 1:07:29I can't, I can't pretend he's fighting well.
- 1:07:34Let's keep rolling here. Yes, I got off track.
- 1:07:38It's all right. So, yeah, Sebastian Fandora,
- 1:07:41Keith Ehrman, that shit is postponed until who
- 1:07:44knows when. And last fight to talk about. I don't
- 1:07:52really care about anything under here. Where
- 1:07:56is Lynn when you need her? Because I don't know
- 1:08:00who these people are. Joseph Parker versus Fabio
- 1:08:03Wardley. I can expect Joseph Parker to win at
- 1:08:11least eight rounds before getting sent to the
- 1:08:14Shadow Realm. I was going to say, it's big nuts
- 1:08:17from Joseph Parker when he's sitting in a mandatory
- 1:08:19slot. Sitting in a mandatory slot fighting against,
- 1:08:23like, literally the heavenly mandate? It's crazy.
- 1:08:28yeah like like he's gonna like parker is totally
- 1:08:31going to win most of the fight and embarrass
- 1:08:33wardley and then he's gonna lose and i will be
- 1:08:40pulling my hair out once again yeah i'm pulling
- 1:08:43for parker on this one i'll be pulling my hair
- 1:08:45out for parker when he gets justice who need
- 1:08:48justice that would be pretty funny if just parker
- 1:08:52got All the work he's done. Got domed by Fabio
- 1:08:57Wardley for... See, the reason why I don't want
- 1:09:00it to happen is because I'm like, oh my god,
- 1:09:02what if Usyk gets domed by Fabio Wardley? I think
- 1:09:05I'd kill myself. I would have to stop watching
- 1:09:09the sport for a little while. Like, listen, man,
- 1:09:12I'm already very close to... I was already pretty
- 1:09:18close to being like, I'm done. No way. After
- 1:09:21Crawford Canelo. But then I came to my senses.
- 1:09:23I'm like, this is just hate. That was a pretty
- 1:09:26cool fight, actually. And now, if I watch that
- 1:09:31shit, no way. No way. I got a thing from Shinada
- 1:09:40here. The WBA has ordered Moses Itama and Kubrat
- 1:09:43Pulev to fight. Interesting. Kubrat Pulev is
- 1:09:50old enough to be Atama's dad. Yeah, and he also
- 1:09:54lost to Chizora. So, pretty in line. I don't
- 1:09:59mind it for a rankings position. Yeah, it's a
- 1:10:02good fight for a ranking. Like, get your mandatory.
- 1:10:05Get your mandatory. Because technically, since
- 1:10:07the WB is ordering it for Atama to defend whatever...
- 1:10:11Pulev is defending his regular title slash mandatory
- 1:10:14position. against itama it's a it's a great way
- 1:10:20to activate a mandatory but itama already turned
- 1:10:23down uh a mandatory the frank sanchez dubois
- 1:10:27he was supposed to be in dubois what's what's
- 1:10:30what's what's more dangerous though like yeah
- 1:10:35okay yeah like you it's like again dubois Dubois
- 1:10:40went the same route when he beat the shit out
- 1:10:43of Trevor Bryan on a leaky roof casino in Florida
- 1:10:47on that Don King card. Oh, the one that had the
- 1:10:51fucking banshee in the crowd. I remember that.
- 1:10:54Yeah, that's how he got the first Usyk fight,
- 1:10:57being the WBA mandatory by ripping that shit
- 1:11:00off Trevor Bryan. So it makes a lot of sense
- 1:11:04for Itama to take the Pulev fight and then go
- 1:11:07for it. instead of playing, like, Frank Sanchez
- 1:11:12or Dubois in the IBF pecking order. Because the
- 1:11:18thing is that, like, the way Itama is as, like,
- 1:11:21a borderline A -lister, he doesn't need to, like,
- 1:11:25go through the hoops and ladders of the IBF to
- 1:11:27get a world title shot. Like, he's evidently
- 1:11:32popular enough for the other sanctioning bodies
- 1:11:34to cut him some slack and make him fight guys
- 1:11:36like Kubrat Pulev. So it makes a lot of sense
- 1:11:42from his handler's perspective. Even if we believe
- 1:11:46he could beat Frank Sanchez, which I believe
- 1:11:48he could, that risk -reward. Especially because
- 1:11:55the IBF can just say, yeah, you got to fight
- 1:11:57a final eliminator against Daniel Dubois versus
- 1:12:02you can keep that WBA thing forever as long as
- 1:12:06you're still making money. That's my... That's
- 1:12:09my point on the thing Shanada just sent. Yeah.
- 1:12:13Back to Joseph Parker. Not sure what else to
- 1:12:16say other than be pulling my hair out when he
- 1:12:19gets fucking Homer Simpson. Yeah. It's going
- 1:12:23to happen. I'm hopeful that it doesn't. But,
- 1:12:28God. Seriously, big balls move from Joseph Parker
- 1:12:34here. Oh, absolutely. Wardley is like the worst
- 1:12:36kind of fight you want to take. There's zero
- 1:12:38reward for beating him because he's some British
- 1:12:40dude who gets outboxed by everyone he meets.
- 1:12:44And, well, you can just get memed by him. The
- 1:12:49zero reward, all risk. Yep. Well, that's all
- 1:13:01we got. That's all we got on the docket. Excellent.
- 1:13:07All right, let me do this. Pop quiz, hotshot.
- 1:13:10What's tiny, fuzzy, and responsible for a large
- 1:13:13portion of the food we eat? If you guessed bees,
- 1:13:16well, you nailed it. Seriously, one out of every
- 1:13:19three bites on your plate depends on bees. So
- 1:13:22there's a bit of bad news here. These little

- 1:15:00Let me look at my sticky note wall. I have an
- 1:15:04article giving Crawford his flowers that I'm
- 1:15:07going to perpetually delay as long as I can out
- 1:15:09of blind hatred. An article on Dave Allen and
- 1:15:15how he pisses in the sink while he's supposed
- 1:15:17to be cleaning it. That's how he cleans it. And
- 1:15:23boots and his glaze. All right. Well, that's
- 1:15:28what you got to look forward to on Wayside. All
- 1:15:34that said, parting words. Go ahead, Saul. Oh,
- 1:15:43so I just wanted to give a shout out to one of
- 1:15:45the listeners. I got a loyal listener now. What's
- 1:15:52up, Richie? What's up? What's going on, Richie?
- 1:15:56Is this a paid ad? Do I get five bucks for this?
- 1:16:00He's actually also a big Boots fan. Okay, excellent.
- 1:16:03What's up, Richie? Shout out Dave Allen. Hey,
- 1:16:10why don't you call in the phone line? Maybe we'll
- 1:16:14cut you in. He's nervous. Listen, man. If Dave
- 1:16:17Allen wants in on this podcast, we're letting
- 1:16:19him on the podcast. Oh, fuck yeah. Oh, without
- 1:16:22question. Are you kidding me? He'll be. As long
- 1:16:27as he ignores all the... The janitor talk? Yeah.
- 1:16:33You'll probably agree. Yeah, I was going to say,
- 1:16:36I would never admit the stuff about the piss
- 1:16:39jugs that he's admitted on interviews. That is
- 1:16:44not something I would say publicly either. Yeah,
- 1:16:46like the same way I would keep a belt draped
- 1:16:49around me forever. if it wasn't the English one,
- 1:16:53I would never in my life, you could waterboard
- 1:16:56me and I would never say that I piss in jugs
- 1:16:59under my bed. That is fucking gross. Like, if
- 1:17:09I was that desperate and that lazy to not even
- 1:17:15be able to get to the washroom in my domicile,
- 1:17:17like... I would at least use my cat's litter
- 1:17:20box. Not a jug. Maybe I'm not British enough.
- 1:17:29I'm not enough of a Doncaster lad to understand.
- 1:17:34Are those your parting words? I'd rather use
- 1:17:37my cat's litter box? I'd rather use my cat's
- 1:17:39litter box than keep a jug under my bed for six
- 1:17:42months. I don't think that's a hot take. It's
- 1:17:47not reasonable. Well, if that's what you're getting,
- 1:17:51I'm going to throw in the old standby Provox
- 1:17:54good. Yay. Watch Provox. When is the next Provox,
- 1:17:59Kurt? November 7th. Excellent. Tune in to Provox
- 1:18:03on November 7th or else. There's actually some
- 1:18:07really good fights on there. I'm looking forward
- 1:18:08to talking about that one. Yes. All right. If
- 1:18:13that's it. Then that's it for this edition of
- 1:18:15the Foxy B -Sides. We'll see you on the other
- 1:18:18side of Joseph Parker vs. Homer Simpson.
