- 1:56Speaker 1: new series on BT which I saw the pilot called
- 2:00Speaker 1: in Contempt. Please welcome the money making conversations Erica Ash,
- 2:06Speaker 1: thank you so much. Well, I try to get it
- 2:08Speaker 1: all out there, Erica, I try to get it all
- 2:10Speaker 1: out there that you're doing that. Well. You know, the
- 2:13Speaker 1: thing about it is that you have a body of
- 2:14Speaker 1: work and I feel that that's that's important. And uh
- 2:18Speaker 1: and you're still young. And I tell people all the
- 2:21Speaker 1: time and when I see a talent like you, did
- 2:25Speaker 1: you ever do stand up comedy? You know, it's interesting.
- 2:28Speaker 1: I tried it and realized that it wasn't for me.
- 2:30Speaker 1: It was a little bit too um. It was a
- 2:34Speaker 1: little that I just I just I didn't feel connected
- 2:36Speaker 1: to the work, and so I thought, you know, I
- 2:39Speaker 1: I there are so many other things that I feel
- 2:42Speaker 1: far more connected to, like writing and Okay, okay, Erica, Okay,
- 2:46Speaker 1: let's let's go and be real here now. Was it
- 2:48Speaker 1: the silence in the audience that that they made the
- 2:51Speaker 1: disconnect because I'm a stand up comedy Actually? You know,
- 2:55Speaker 1: I was actually challenged to my very first stand up experience,
- 2:59Speaker 1: and I was I was told don't go to the
- 3:02Speaker 1: Jay spot because there's the spot. I sure did. I
- 3:08Speaker 1: sure did, And I told it so funny. I was
- 3:09Speaker 1: on Steve Harvey the other day and I told him
- 3:11Speaker 1: that I went, and he was like, yeah, I heard
- 3:13Speaker 1: about you. So I went there because I was you know,
- 3:15Speaker 1: I stopped, well, that sounds like a dare. Don't dare me.
- 3:20Speaker 1: And I actually got a standing ovation my first time. Okay, okay, okay, Yeah,
- 3:24Speaker 1: so it wasn't it wasn't necessarily that. And then you know,
- 3:26Speaker 1: I got I think I maybe got one boo in
- 3:29Speaker 1: all the times that I tried. Okay, one boom, that's good,
- 3:32Speaker 1: that's good. One boo one time. Yeah, and I and
- 3:37Speaker 1: I tried all the tough ones. I didn't I didn't
- 3:39Speaker 1: go the easy round like I was like, let me
- 3:40Speaker 1: just dive straight in. But it was just I don't know,
- 3:43Speaker 1: It's just it was a little like I felt, I
- 3:44Speaker 1: found the environment amongst the comedians backstage just a little
- 3:49Speaker 1: bit too heavy. It is. It is very competitively and
- 3:53Speaker 1: it's very um jl house like, you know, because they
- 3:56Speaker 1: peered through the bars, you know, looking at you and
- 3:59Speaker 1: not really support than you. Is really an environment where,
- 4:03Speaker 1: especially for females. And I gotta just say this because
- 4:06Speaker 1: you know, I've been doing stand up comed this one
- 4:10Speaker 1: Steve Harvey now and Jasam but we're all we're all
- 4:12Speaker 1: good friends. So you you you're throwing out names that
- 4:14Speaker 1: I'm very familiar with in the stand up comedy industry
- 4:17Speaker 1: and also legends in the constand up comedy industry, is
- 4:20Speaker 1: that the female, if you're back there, you you're not
- 4:23Speaker 1: gonna be respected. If you're an attractive female like you,
- 4:26Speaker 1: they you're gonna want to get hit on. They're gonna
- 4:28Speaker 1: want to hit on you. And it's just so much
- 4:30Speaker 1: pressure you have to deal and all you just want
- 4:32Speaker 1: to do this is just work on your craft. Could
- 4:34Speaker 1: I just be funny? Can I just be funny? Okay?
- 4:37Speaker 1: Thank you? I got I got that. I think the
- 4:39Speaker 1: final shot for me was when someone came and told
- 4:42Speaker 1: me if you want people to laugh at you joke,
- 4:44Speaker 1: you can't be pretty. You need to, you know, dumb
- 4:47Speaker 1: it down. And I was like, oh no, you have
- 4:50Speaker 1: to let me be great. You gotta come out there
- 4:52Speaker 1: with your hair scatter. You know what I'm saying, Your
- 4:54Speaker 1: hair got to be scattered. They laughed, you know, because
- 5:02Speaker 1: but I'll tell you what. I'll tell you what. There
- 5:04Speaker 1: are people who have done it and done it successfully,
- 5:07Speaker 1: like you know, Tiffany Hattish. Of course, the more you know,
- 5:10Speaker 1: just like like beautiful women who have, who have, And
- 5:13Speaker 1: there's several others. I'm just you know, stop my head.
- 5:16Speaker 1: But no, it's no problem when you say that, because
- 5:19Speaker 1: I know which exactly what you're dealing with in that world. Now,
- 5:22Speaker 1: let's talk about you know, let's talk about you. What
- 5:24Speaker 1: I thought was it was the role of a lifetime
- 5:28Speaker 1: for you at that point. You've done a lot of
- 5:30Speaker 1: different things. Was m Chuck on the on the show
- 5:34Speaker 1: Stars Survivor for more? Because I just want everybody know,
- 5:36Speaker 1: because a lot of people may not recognize that name,
- 5:38Speaker 1: but they need to know they recognized you from those
- 5:40Speaker 1: commercials because you were very physically active. Use the aggressive character,
- 5:45Speaker 1: use an independent character. Tell me what you loved about
- 5:48Speaker 1: that character before we move on to your next projects.
- 5:51Speaker 1: I just loved how how comfortable she was with who
- 5:54Speaker 1: she was, and how free she was to speak on
- 5:57Speaker 1: all the things that she thought. You know, a lot
- 5:59Speaker 1: of people are sort of restricted by their by their class.
- 6:02Speaker 1: You know, I'm one of them. I grew up very um,
- 6:06Speaker 1: sort of in a strict household with a mother who
- 6:10Speaker 1: was very conservative, and um, you know, I'm a double
- 6:13Speaker 1: p k to to pre prepare. So what I said,
- 6:18Speaker 1: what I did, and you know, I was always told,
- 6:21Speaker 1: like the world is watching you, you better be careful.
- 6:23Speaker 1: And you know, m Chuck is just she was a
- 6:25Speaker 1: different energy. She was so fresh and free and like
- 6:28Speaker 1: she would say things and then she think about it,
- 6:30Speaker 1: you know, and I was like, I like this, and
- 6:33Speaker 1: so I would I I would embody that fully when
- 6:37Speaker 1: I played her, and sometimes when I didn't. So you know,
- 6:42Speaker 1: she freed she freed me up a little bit. It
- 6:44Speaker 1: just kind of be a bit more, you know, moufie.
- 6:47Speaker 1: And and you know, well, you know when you went
- 6:50Speaker 1: to when you went to that graveyard, you know when
- 6:52Speaker 1: your graveyard s you know, that was the that was
- 6:55Speaker 1: a moment for me. You know, oh, thank you, thank you.
- 6:59Speaker 1: That was that was moment for me to out there.
- 7:03Speaker 1: It was cold. I was like, wait, you really want
- 7:05Speaker 1: me to actually like pull my pants down and go
- 7:07Speaker 1: to the bathroom my ear? Let me tell you out something.
- 7:11Speaker 1: We're gonna do it together as a group. So when
- 7:13Speaker 1: y'all say take another, take another, take, y'all realize I
- 7:16Speaker 1: love that. I love you. Did that, I love you.
- 7:19Speaker 1: That's everybody pulling their pants down to day. That's m
- 7:23Speaker 1: Chuck moved. That's that's I love that. Now let's talk
- 7:26Speaker 1: about the fact that you know, we want, you know,
- 7:29Speaker 1: we want to talk about your your experience and working
- 7:31Speaker 1: with Kevin Hart, you know, basically an improvisational show, and
- 7:35Speaker 1: you know, you know, we want to go back a
- 7:37Speaker 1: little bit because Matt TV was your I want to
- 7:39Speaker 1: see your entry into television and your first big break.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Could I say that Matt TV? Yeah? Yeah, okay, Now
- 7:46Speaker 1: so you Matt TV, you know, scripted, he was a writer.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Uh did you go to now you have this amazing
- 7:52Speaker 1: opportunity with Kevin Hart on a basically show where improv
- 7:56Speaker 1: plays a lot. Were there any fears or you just say, hey,
- 8:00Speaker 1: I'm going forward? What were your thoughts? Because I mean comedy,
- 8:04Speaker 1: comedy is my default as a person like Erica, Like
- 8:07Speaker 1: you know, I love making jokes and being funny and
- 8:10Speaker 1: I'm and I'm very quick with it. I am I'm
- 8:13Speaker 1: always you know, clapping back and popping off. When I
- 8:17Speaker 1: get with somebody like Kevin, that's just like, let's go
- 8:19Speaker 1: play in the sandbox, you know, so we we It
- 8:22Speaker 1: was a fully scripted show. It was not meant to
- 8:26Speaker 1: be improv but you know, you get all those funny
- 8:29Speaker 1: guys together, That's what I'm saying, you know, Erica, it's
- 8:33Speaker 1: not going to not happen. There you go, there you go.
- 8:35Speaker 1: And then you had to be ready going that line
- 8:38Speaker 1: what you were supposed to say. You couldn't just look
- 8:39Speaker 1: at it like that script. No, you have to roll
- 8:42Speaker 1: with it. And that's why I enjoyed watching Competitive. Yeah,
- 8:46Speaker 1: and I'm competitive. I'm not gonna let y'all. I'm not
- 8:48Speaker 1: gonna let y'all flap clap, flap flap. And I don't back,
- 8:53Speaker 1: you know what I mean. I was like, cool, Yeah,
- 8:56Speaker 1: Iron Sharper's Iron and that was the best best comedy
- 8:59Speaker 1: chop Cat ever. Now let's talk about the new show
- 9:03Speaker 1: in Contempt. That's gonna take us into the next break.
- 9:05Speaker 1: But I just want to such a stage for how
- 9:07Speaker 1: great you are as a comedian, the greats that you
- 9:10Speaker 1: work with, your dariness and it come is. I don't
- 9:13Speaker 1: have to ask this question. Is in Contempt? Is that
- 9:17Speaker 1: a drama t or drama? You know we have we
- 9:21Speaker 1: have yet to to officially categorize it, but I've heard
- 9:25Speaker 1: I've heard draw Uh yeah, I've heard drama the most.
- 9:31Speaker 1: And that's just because people, Um, you know, I can't
- 9:34Speaker 1: do anything and not bring some time to do it.
- 9:39Speaker 1: So if it's if it's if it's something super serious,
- 9:42Speaker 1: there has to be moments of levity because you know,
- 9:45Speaker 1: I'm I just don't believe that life is that. I
- 9:48Speaker 1: don't believe that life is all serious and you know,
- 9:52Speaker 1: heavy and sad, and you know, we've got to work
- 9:55Speaker 1: with you know what I mean, We have to really
- 9:59Speaker 1: we have to find those moments of levity in order
- 10:01Speaker 1: to keep our sanity. And I'm happy to be the
- 10:03Speaker 1: one to bring it. Well. The interesting thing about it
- 10:05Speaker 1: because I know they're not writing there's a drama. That's
- 10:07Speaker 1: that's why they ask you that, because I know you
- 10:10Speaker 1: know when you when when when it was pitched, you
- 10:12Speaker 1: know it was pitched as a drama. But you just
- 10:15Speaker 1: so naturally and your co stars are just aligning themselves
- 10:19Speaker 1: right with your with your actions, which is really really
- 10:22Speaker 1: which really really entertaining. So before we leave for this break,
- 10:26Speaker 1: quickly tell everybody exactly what INCA tip is. Well in
- 10:31Speaker 1: contempt is a one hour law procedural. It's the first
- 10:34Speaker 1: of its kind on b ET. So I'm glad that
- 10:36Speaker 1: they're you know, they're taking such huge risks, um, But
- 10:39Speaker 1: it's from the perspective of the public defender, whereas most
- 10:43Speaker 1: that you will see like law and order from the
- 10:45Speaker 1: perspective of the district attorney. So my character, Gwen Sullivan
- 10:49Speaker 1: is you know, very headstrong, very very determined and passionate
- 10:54Speaker 1: public defender who is willing to do anything to get
- 10:56Speaker 1: her clients to fair shake because she represents the people
- 10:59Speaker 1: who are quote a quote guilty and to proven innocent.
- 11:02Speaker 1: And so you know, she's willing to get arrested. She'll
- 11:05Speaker 1: pop off at the judge, She'll let him have it
- 11:07Speaker 1: in court. I mean, she'll go off on her, on her,
- 11:09Speaker 1: on her opposing counsel. It just you know, she just
- 11:13Speaker 1: really really goes there. But you you fall in love
- 11:16Speaker 1: with that packing, but she's also fawed that thought. Right quick, Erica,
- 11:19Speaker 1: We're gonna be right back. I want to get more
- 11:21Speaker 1: details on you, the star of In Contempt. On b
- 11:24Speaker 1: et Erica, Hi, just ra Sean McDonald. I'm back with
- 11:28Speaker 1: money making conversations on the phone, because Erica asked she's
- 11:32Speaker 1: the star of the new BT series In Contempt. She
- 11:35Speaker 1: told us earlier that she is a double p K
- 11:38Speaker 1: kid double and then I found out that she wanted
- 11:43Speaker 1: to be a doctor at one time in her life.
- 11:45Speaker 1: What made that shift there? Erica come on that waking
- 11:49Speaker 1: up and realizing that it was my parents dream and
- 11:51Speaker 1: not mine, which happened somewhere around UM junior year. After
- 11:56Speaker 1: I depleted all of the requirements and done everything that
- 11:59Speaker 1: you know, they had asked, I had a little bit
- 12:01Speaker 1: of time on my hands, you know, it had time
- 12:02Speaker 1: to think about it, and so I decided to take
- 12:05Speaker 1: a year and figure out what it is that Erica
- 12:07Speaker 1: wanted to do. And during that year, I happened to
- 12:10Speaker 1: fall into a background singing gig and fell into you know,
- 12:14Speaker 1: was a modeling situation. And you know these extra credits
- 12:18Speaker 1: that aren't in your bio. You know, you are model,
- 12:21Speaker 1: you were a singer. You know these Oh you're just
- 12:24Speaker 1: a three sixty kid. You're just are not a peakake kid.
- 12:27Speaker 1: You lived about nine lives. Because you're also a comedy writer.
- 12:30Speaker 1: You also a comedy writer. Yes, yes, So I didn't
- 12:35Speaker 1: realize that I was a comedy writer because my very
- 12:38Speaker 1: very first show UM, I had pitched the character and
- 12:43Speaker 1: they paired me with a writer to develop the character
- 12:45Speaker 1: for the show, and the writer just kept getting it wrong.
- 12:49Speaker 1: I was like, no, that's not that's something you would say.
- 12:51Speaker 1: He would say that that's not sir, sir, You're just
- 12:54Speaker 1: not getting it right. I was like, how about you know?
- 12:56Speaker 1: And then I just kept like I wasn't explaining myself
- 12:59Speaker 1: very well. So I was like, I went home and
- 13:01Speaker 1: I wrote the scene and I saw it and then
- 13:05Speaker 1: I came back and I was like, it's it's kind
- 13:06Speaker 1: of more like this, and he was like, uh, why
- 13:10Speaker 1: don't you just use this? Yeah? Okay, So kind of
- 13:14Speaker 1: hastened by accidents that I realized I was a writer.
- 13:16Speaker 1: And then and then Mad TV, I did the same
- 13:20Speaker 1: thing when I when I because they pulled me from
- 13:22Speaker 1: my very first TV show. They actually um made me
- 13:25Speaker 1: a straight offer, and you know, I went there and
- 13:28Speaker 1: I was like, well, this is what I was doing
- 13:30Speaker 1: on the other show. And they're like, oh, awesome, so
- 13:31Speaker 1: we'll pay you this. I'm like, wait, skirt held up,
- 13:33Speaker 1: you pay me. I was supposed to get paid for this.
- 13:39Speaker 1: They were like, yeah, now your new show in Contempt,
- 13:42Speaker 1: you are getting paid it the first of his time.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Let's break down some of your characters. So they really
- 13:50Speaker 1: rather emotionally charging. You had with your father in the restaurant,
- 13:54Speaker 1: played by the amazing Richard Lawson. You know, we have
- 13:57Speaker 1: a really relationship. Really made me and Yance sisters absolutely,
- 14:01Speaker 1: which is awesome, awesome. You know, just uh Coachella was
- 14:05Speaker 1: she headlined first black woman ever to headline Coachella. So
- 14:08Speaker 1: she's amazing. You know. The great things about you is
- 14:12Speaker 1: that in this in this show, like I said, the
- 14:15Speaker 1: one hour drama is on bat in contempt. It's a drama,
- 14:19Speaker 1: but your natural talent seems to be the pool comedy moments.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Tell tell us about the characters on the show and
- 14:26Speaker 1: what excites you about the series. Well, the thing that
- 14:30Speaker 1: I'm most excited about is it something that you haven't
- 14:32Speaker 1: seen before. And you know, we've got a great, great task.
- 14:37Speaker 1: I mean, Richard Lawton that you just mentioned plays my father. Um,
- 14:41Speaker 1: we have Christine Keith, Megan Hutchins moving to tre Ronnie
- 14:44Speaker 1: Roe Jr. Um and everyone is really really committed to
- 14:48Speaker 1: making sure this story gets told authentically. Our so runner
- 14:53Speaker 1: was a public defender in New York for a number
- 14:55Speaker 1: of years and so she lends that to the script.
- 14:57Speaker 1: When I read the script, it was a total little
- 15:00Speaker 1: page turner. So that's the first thing that attracted me.
- 15:03Speaker 1: And I love the fact that our characters are real
- 15:05Speaker 1: and they're relatable. You know, they do this awesome job,
- 15:07Speaker 1: but they have the same issues that everybody else has
- 15:10Speaker 1: and in their jobs and in their lives. You know,
- 15:13Speaker 1: like when has a shopping addiction, she's also addicted to
- 15:16Speaker 1: flame bolts, and she's a g she's got two lovers,
- 15:19Speaker 1: like you know, you know what I mean. Like notice
- 15:21Speaker 1: I said a gum and something I would love to
- 15:28Speaker 1: adopt from Gwen because my game is like flatlining um.
- 15:32Speaker 1: And then you've got you know, she she likes the
- 15:35Speaker 1: box and they have their inner office situation. Your offices
- 15:41Speaker 1: in the closet. Your office is in the closet. That's
- 15:43Speaker 1: where you operating out over well actually technically my office
- 15:48Speaker 1: is not in the closet, but which you'll you'll probably
- 15:51Speaker 1: see UM's episodes, but that's kind of my that's my
- 15:55Speaker 1: war room. Okay, good, Now, what character I do like it?
- 15:59Speaker 1: I don't know. Her name was the young lady who
- 16:01Speaker 1: was at this large firm and now she's coming over here.
- 16:06Speaker 1: I really liked her character. Really is she is. She's
- 16:09Speaker 1: She's going to be a serious regular that that character.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I love her character because because it's a it's a
- 16:15Speaker 1: very honest character. Where she has chosen to come into
- 16:19Speaker 1: a field that doesn't have the same tools that can
- 16:23Speaker 1: help you win. And so you write basically like basically, uh,
- 16:28Speaker 1: put in the position just to get to the next
- 16:30Speaker 1: case or to get these people in the position to
- 16:33Speaker 1: be able to sustain some type of life and uh
- 16:36Speaker 1: and and win with And I feel that that's the
- 16:39Speaker 1: that's the biggest thing that came out of the public defenders,
- 16:41Speaker 1: that these people are walking into situations where they cannot win,
- 16:46Speaker 1: right or it's like walking into a battle royal with
- 16:49Speaker 1: like one hand tied behind your back. It's like, do
- 16:52Speaker 1: you know, It's just it's not it's not a great situation.
- 16:55Speaker 1: And it makes you realize how underappreciated public defenders are.
- 16:58Speaker 1: I think, next to teachers, are one of the most
- 17:00Speaker 1: underappreciated in the country. You know, career choices and um,
- 17:04Speaker 1: it's it's important that we support them because they don't
- 17:07Speaker 1: get their underresourced, they're understaffed, they're underfunded, and even information wise,
- 17:13Speaker 1: they're not even required by law to get the information
- 17:15Speaker 1: at the same time as the district attorneys. You know,
- 17:17Speaker 1: the police work with the district attorneys and so obviously
- 17:20Speaker 1: it behooves them to give the district attorney as much
- 17:25Speaker 1: of a leg up as possible so they can justify
- 17:27Speaker 1: it when a crooked cop makes a bad arrest, or
- 17:31Speaker 1: someone makes a bad idea, and you know, because which
- 17:34Speaker 1: was in the pilot episode was a bad idea about
- 17:36Speaker 1: that young man who when you walk to him to say,
- 17:40Speaker 1: plead out, plead out, and he refused to plead out.
- 17:42Speaker 1: And you know, the thing about it that I like
- 17:45Speaker 1: about the show is that, you know, it has layers
- 17:48Speaker 1: as the lawyers for you as a woman, has layers
- 17:51Speaker 1: for you emotionally dealing with cases that you're passionate about.
- 17:54Speaker 1: In the case in that situation, you're about to walk
- 17:56Speaker 1: away and just say plead out, and you looked at
- 17:59Speaker 1: this manual. Okay, look, let's go forward, let's go forward.
- 18:03Speaker 1: And yeah, And a lot of times that's what happens
- 18:05Speaker 1: because they're they're they're so backlogged in the court system.
- 18:09Speaker 1: You know. Um, these new laws to try to expedite
- 18:12Speaker 1: things even more just restrate me to no end because
- 18:15Speaker 1: I'm like, the court systems already backlogged. That's the reason
- 18:17Speaker 1: why the jail cells are so full. People can't afford
- 18:20Speaker 1: these bails, you know, Um, and so they you know,
- 18:23Speaker 1: they have to await their trials there for you know, days, weeks, years,
- 18:27Speaker 1: even Calfe brother, you know what I mean, and then
- 18:29Speaker 1: they end up serving time, doing time for the crimes
- 18:34Speaker 1: they haven't even been convicted of. You when you do
- 18:36Speaker 1: a show like this, you do a show like this
- 18:38Speaker 1: in contempt, you know, because I felt that the character
- 18:41Speaker 1: you play, M Chuck, what's an emotionally charged character? And
- 18:44Speaker 1: I feel that the character you played on this show
- 18:46Speaker 1: is an emotionally charged character. And what is your biggest
- 18:50Speaker 1: walk away when you when you when you accept the
- 18:52Speaker 1: role or are you are your audition for a role?
- 18:55Speaker 1: What are you trying to accomplish on the screen or film? Right? Well,
- 19:00Speaker 1: first of all, I want my characters to have some
- 19:02Speaker 1: sort of growth, some sort of um um evolution, right,
- 19:08Speaker 1: And if I can see them going there, it doesn't
- 19:11Speaker 1: have to be fully you know, in the first season
- 19:14Speaker 1: or the first you know, a few episodes. But I
- 19:16Speaker 1: need to know that they're on the path to something
- 19:19Speaker 1: like us being better somehow, because I like to use
- 19:22Speaker 1: every character in some way to motivate someone, right. I
- 19:25Speaker 1: love to speak to people. I love to speak to
- 19:27Speaker 1: young girls. I love to speak to young men um
- 19:30Speaker 1: and and and talk about, you know, their life and
- 19:33Speaker 1: their choices. And so when I have a character that
- 19:35Speaker 1: I can kind of use to support that and back
- 19:37Speaker 1: that up, that's you know, I find that that's a wind.
- 19:40Speaker 1: That's a win for everybody. They're entertained, but they're learning something.
- 19:44Speaker 1: You know, It's something that I can be proud of.
- 19:46Speaker 1: When I have kids one day, I can you know,
- 19:48Speaker 1: I'll have a body of work that I'll be able
- 19:50Speaker 1: to share with them and not be like, but don't
- 19:51Speaker 1: look at this because mommy was in a bad space
- 19:54Speaker 1: when you did that, you know what I mean. So
- 19:57Speaker 1: let's talk about the situation that what I wanted to
- 20:00Speaker 1: talk about. It is this next upcoming movie that's coming
- 20:02Speaker 1: out this summer that's right in your comedy lane. That's
- 20:07Speaker 1: right in your comedy lane. You know, I can't throw
- 20:09Speaker 1: it all away now, I got to I got to
- 20:12Speaker 1: keep some of it. I got to keep that comedy,
- 20:14Speaker 1: that comedy leg going. I got my boy a little
- 20:17Speaker 1: real in it. That's one of the stars from get Out.
- 20:19Speaker 1: If you don't know who he is, he played the
- 20:21Speaker 1: security guy the t s a agent and Get Out.
- 20:25Speaker 1: Very funny young man who's really who's rising? Tell us
- 20:28Speaker 1: a little bit about your character before we get out
- 20:30Speaker 1: of here, and also everybody in Contempt. It's on b ET.

- 20:49Speaker 1: and wants to wants to be a coach at the
- 20:51Speaker 1: Rucker Park because he just knows he can win. Um,
- 20:54Speaker 1: his team end up falling apart and he's got to
- 20:56Speaker 1: put together a new team and it's kind of last many.
- 20:58Speaker 1: He doesn't have a lot of time. Hears about Uncle Drew,
- 21:01Speaker 1: who is like this you know legend at first the
