- 2:13Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Yeah. Man, ooh boh,
- 2:17Speaker 1: boh boy. Man, God has been good to me. I
- 2:21Speaker 1: can't even I can't even put it into words, man,
- 2:26Speaker 1: but I try, though, I try, try try. God does
- 2:30Speaker 1: things for me just right on time. He said, he's
- 2:32Speaker 1: so cool with it. And I happened to run across
- 2:37Speaker 1: Joel Oldstein on television like I often do all the time,
- 2:42Speaker 1: and I was sitting there and he had such a
- 2:47Speaker 1: timely message for me. A part of it was something
- 2:50Speaker 1: that I've said oftentimes about if you really really want
- 2:57Speaker 1: to be successful, if you really really want to change,
- 3:01Speaker 1: if you really really want to prosper. If you really
- 3:04Speaker 1: really want to achieve greatness, if you really really want
- 3:07Speaker 1: to have something in life that's worth having, if you
- 3:10Speaker 1: really really want to accomplish your goals, you got to
- 3:13Speaker 1: push through all of it. He said that when you
- 3:18Speaker 1: get closer to it, the more difficult it becomes. Did
- 3:24Speaker 1: you hear me? He said, the closer you get to
- 3:28Speaker 1: what it is you want or you need, or you
- 3:30Speaker 1: have to have, or or you would love to be,
- 3:35Speaker 1: it gets a little bit more difficult when you get closer.
- 3:39Speaker 1: He told this story that's in the Bible that I've
- 3:44Speaker 1: never heard before. This is what he said. He said
- 3:48Speaker 1: that was a man who was paralyzed, and he had
- 3:55Speaker 1: heard that Jesus was speaking at a house, and so
- 4:00Speaker 1: he wanted to get there. So he convinced four of
- 4:04Speaker 1: his friends to put him on a stretcher and carry
- 4:09Speaker 1: him for hours to get to this house where Jesus
- 4:15Speaker 1: was speaking. He said that along the way, these friends
- 4:22Speaker 1: said that they went along because he had so much
- 4:26Speaker 1: faith that if he could just get to him, it
- 4:29Speaker 1: could be better that he could if he could just
- 4:33Speaker 1: get over the end he could see him, that he
- 4:35Speaker 1: might have a shot at getting held. And so he said,
- 4:38Speaker 1: they took out along the way and they walked and
- 4:41Speaker 1: they walked and they walked for hours. And then when
- 4:45Speaker 1: they got there, the house was completely filled with people.
- 4:49Speaker 1: That was absolutely it was packed wall to wall. There
- 4:53Speaker 1: was absolutely no way for the men to get him
- 4:56Speaker 1: on that stretcher end to see Jesus. This it's a
- 5:00Speaker 1: story that Joel Osteen said is in the Bible, and
- 5:03Speaker 1: he was telling it now. I'm just repeating the parts
- 5:07Speaker 1: of it. I got gathered and so he said. They
- 5:10Speaker 1: were sat there and they went, wow, man, we walked
- 5:12Speaker 1: all this weight and it's four and and and and
- 5:16Speaker 1: and and and we can't get there, he said. And
- 5:19Speaker 1: then the guy with the affliction told the four men,
- 5:25Speaker 1: if you get up on the roof and cut a
- 5:28Speaker 1: hole in it and lower me down, I bet I
- 5:33Speaker 1: could see him men, and I better to be all
- 5:35Speaker 1: right now. He then said, you must imagine how these
- 5:42Speaker 1: four men must have felt when you carry somebody for
- 5:45Speaker 1: hours on on on on on on the way. They
- 5:49Speaker 1: had to carry some cloth connected by a couple of sticks.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Said the men. Shoulders had to be bruised, had to
- 5:55Speaker 1: have deep gouges in them, not cuts, but just indentations
- 6:00Speaker 1: where they had carried the weight of this grown man
- 6:02Speaker 1: for so many hours, and they looked at him in disbelief, like, man,
- 6:06Speaker 1: what are you talking about. We didn't walked all this far.
- 6:08Speaker 1: He said, yeah, but if you get up on that
- 6:10Speaker 1: roof and you cut a hole in it and lower
- 6:13Speaker 1: me down, I can see him and when he see me,
- 6:18Speaker 1: it'll be all right. After sitting there and imploring the men,
- 6:23Speaker 1: they went up and did just that, and then and
- 6:27Speaker 1: then the story that Joel Osteen said, the man was healed.
- 6:31Speaker 1: But the point he was making was he was saying
- 6:35Speaker 1: that the closer you get to what it is you
- 6:38Speaker 1: really want, the more difficult it's going to become. But
- 6:42Speaker 1: you've got to push through. See, if you don't push through,
- 6:45Speaker 1: you never know, so you can't get right to the answer.
- 6:49Speaker 1: And because it gets really difficult, started creating those little
- 6:53Speaker 1: saying that we got his people. Um, well, I guess
- 6:56Speaker 1: it wasn't meant to be. I guess it wasn't Lord's will. Now, man,
- 7:01Speaker 1: I guess you should not give up right now. I
- 7:05Speaker 1: guess you should keep pressing. I guess you should do more,
- 7:08Speaker 1: because see, in all of us, in all of us,
- 7:11Speaker 1: when you've had enough, I want you to know something.
- 7:14Speaker 1: You do have a little bit more in all of us.
- 7:18Speaker 1: You can do one more you know. That's one of
- 7:21Speaker 1: my favorite things that I heard. Joel Oldstein said. It
- 7:24Speaker 1: kind of made me feel good. He said, I always
- 7:28Speaker 1: feel like I can do one more anything, And I
- 7:31Speaker 1: tell my friends all the time, I can do one
- 7:34Speaker 1: more man, I could do one more day. I can
- 7:37Speaker 1: do one more anything. Now Here was the jewel that
- 7:43Speaker 1: I never really knew that Joel Oldstein and God sent
- 7:49Speaker 1: to me I needed to hear. He said that no
- 7:53Speaker 1: matter what you're going through, no matter how long the
- 7:57Speaker 1: challenge is you've been facing, God has an end date
- 8:01Speaker 1: for it all. Did you hear me? No matter what
- 8:05Speaker 1: you're going through, no matter what challenge you're facing, no
- 8:08Speaker 1: matter what situation you've gotten yourself into, God has an
- 8:12Speaker 1: ending date. All you got to do is keep pressing forward.
- 8:18Speaker 1: All you got to do is hanging now. All you
- 8:21Speaker 1: got to do is don't give up. All you have
- 8:24Speaker 1: to do is don't turn back. That is an end
- 8:28Speaker 1: date for all of it, even when you think you've
- 8:32Speaker 1: had enough. And boy, have I had this conversation with
- 8:38Speaker 1: God on several things that I've been going through and
- 8:42Speaker 1: I'm going I've even told him, Look, I got it, man,
- 8:47Speaker 1: he said, just keep hanging on. There is an end
- 8:51Speaker 1: date to whatever it is you're going through. There's an
- 8:54Speaker 1: end date to your illness, your sickness, yo yo, tired
- 8:58Speaker 1: of being tired. There's an end date to this relationship
- 9:03Speaker 1: that you can't seem to get through. Beyond over that's
- 9:11Speaker 1: that's like a cancer to you. There's an end date.
- 9:14Speaker 1: But you've got to hang in there. You've got to
- 9:18Speaker 1: keep pushing forward. You cannot turn around. You must not
- 9:23Speaker 1: go back, because when God gets you through this and
- 9:28Speaker 1: you break through to the other side, the reward and
- 9:31Speaker 1: the benefit is far greater than the struggle. I oftentimes
- 9:39Speaker 1: look at some of the things that God has brought
- 9:41Speaker 1: me through in my worst times, and when he brought
- 9:45Speaker 1: me through, I went, wow, man, now that I understand that,
- 9:48Speaker 1: Now that I'm on the other side and I have
- 9:50Speaker 1: the benefit of the reward for it, would you do
- 9:53Speaker 1: it all again to get there? Yes, I would. You're
- 9:56Speaker 1: listening to ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, market trainers,
- 10:05Speaker 1: everybody involved in any zoologists, anybody that does marine biology
- 10:11Speaker 1: work with whales and sea turtles. Now I have your
- 10:15Speaker 1: undivided attention. Please, And I know I have your attention,
- 10:19Speaker 1: cause a nobody never talked to you directly. Who know
- 10:23Speaker 1: anybody with sea turtles? Well? Jacques Cousto was one of
- 10:30Speaker 1: my favorite people when I was growing up. Every young
- 10:32Speaker 1: boy we are him. Well. If people say the times,
- 10:41Speaker 1: I used to love that old friend, dude Well, ladies
- 10:44Speaker 1: and gentlemen, I loved him like I loved the Steve
- 10:46Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. I loved him like I love starting
- 10:50Speaker 1: my day. I like starting my day with gratitude. If
- 10:53Speaker 1: you start with gratitude and affect your attitude, change your attitude,
- 10:57Speaker 1: it's in direct correlation with your out to get your
- 11:01Speaker 1: two in order. Man, Shirley Strawberry caller, the for real,
- 11:08Speaker 1: the mouth of the whole damn South. It's Sip Monitor
- 11:16Speaker 1: Juniors better known as kill Spake, but more known as
- 11:21Speaker 1: Junior and ladies and gentlemen, the legend that he is.
- 11:25Speaker 1: If you tell me, Lord Junior, what's on your mind today? Okay? Man,
- 11:31Speaker 1: let's talk about this. Man ask something. I heard a quote. Man,
- 11:34Speaker 1: it really kind of really kind of took me back.
- 11:37Speaker 1: He said, if you think the cost of success is high,
- 11:41Speaker 1: wait until you get the bill from regret man. I
- 11:45Speaker 1: know that quote very well. If you think the cost
- 11:49Speaker 1: of success is high, wait until you get the bill
- 11:53Speaker 1: for the cost to regret man junior. Yeah, I'm just saying,
- 11:58Speaker 1: did you have to pay these? Oh? Absolutely absolutely? You
- 12:02Speaker 1: know man, you will oftentimes be presented with crossroads in
- 12:08Speaker 1: your life or way you. Everybody gets them all the time.
- 12:12Speaker 1: You can go right or you can go left, but
- 12:14Speaker 1: you just can't go straight no more. You gotta go
- 12:17Speaker 1: this way or that way, and you have to make
- 12:20Speaker 1: decision now going the right way, not meaning to your right,
- 12:25Speaker 1: but going the right way. Making the right choice is
- 12:28Speaker 1: always the harder choice when you choose not to go
- 12:33Speaker 1: the hardest way, when you choose to take the soft
- 12:36Speaker 1: the soft route, the easy route, but the route that
- 12:40Speaker 1: was intended for you, that had the most reward was
- 12:43Speaker 1: the hard route. And you choose that particular day to
- 12:46Speaker 1: take the easy route. All let me explain, Oh it
- 12:50Speaker 1: would have been harder, but Lord her mercy when you
- 12:53Speaker 1: make that easy turns and you find out later on
- 12:56Speaker 1: up the road because all roads meet again would have
- 13:00Speaker 1: happened had you taken the harder road and you took
- 13:03Speaker 1: that easy role as hard as a hard road would
- 13:06Speaker 1: have been, Oh my god, you have to sit there
- 13:08Speaker 1: and kick yourself. The regret that you it's incredible and
- 13:14Speaker 1: it's piercing, and sometimes it takes years to recover from that.
- 13:18Speaker 1: And I've hated that man when I've done that. So
- 13:21Speaker 1: I learned after a while, just go to route that's
- 13:23Speaker 1: the hardest route, the one you're supposed to take, because
- 13:26Speaker 1: they ain't gonna need a living and regret that ain't easy.
- 13:28Speaker 1: Success is hard, but not being successful it's a lot harder.
- 13:34Speaker 1: All right, all right, well, thank you guys. Coming up next,
- 13:38Speaker 1: it has run that prank back with the nephew coming
- 13:40Speaker 1: up at thirty two minutes after you're listening. All right, guys,

- 21:39Speaker 1: my dad, she's upset with me. Should I care? Well?
- 21:45Speaker 1: Let me ask you a question. When did you decide
- 21:52Speaker 1: that it was necessary to take sides? You know for
- 21:57Speaker 1: years you listened to her saying your dad it was
- 22:00Speaker 1: a guard too, and the whole time it was hurt.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Now you side it with your daddy. Now she's mad.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Should you care? Why? Why you stop taking side? What?

- 22:39Speaker 1: however you want to feel, but you ain't got to
- 22:41Speaker 1: pick a side. It ain't your fight. It's really not.
- 22:46Speaker 1: They're getting a divorce. You're not into your thirty two.
- 22:49Speaker 1: You're not getting a divorce. They are. You're thirty two.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Divorce affects you when you live in that house. You're
- 22:55Speaker 1: on your own. They're getting a divorce. A divorce is

- 23:13Speaker 1: some crazy things as brothers, and my fiance doesn't know
- 23:16Speaker 1: that side of me. My twin suggested I tell my
- 23:19Speaker 1: future wife about my wild side before she moves to
- 23:22Speaker 1: our hometown and she hears about me. Should I fill
- 23:26Speaker 1: her in or not? Hell no, stupid ass brother, feel hard?
- 23:35Speaker 1: What before she moved? Hid and hid? Hell yeah? What
- 23:41Speaker 1: the wildness being alife? You gotta damn twin tell him

- 24:06Speaker 1: You're gonna walk in your house, start a fire in
- 24:10Speaker 1: the middle of the living room floor and hope it
- 24:13Speaker 1: stay in the living room? Boy is the twin jealous stuff? Now?
- 24:20Speaker 1: He think he helping him? See day, stupid? I think
- 24:27Speaker 1: we talked about a couple of stupid twins. You know
- 24:31Speaker 1: you can have compidity in a set. You know they
- 24:35Speaker 1: know just one off, you can have more than one

- 24:57Speaker 1: but she didn't call her text me, so I off.
- 25:01Speaker 1: She said it was a big mistake. Now do you
- 25:03Speaker 1: think it was on purpose or was it really a mistake? Well,
- 25:09Speaker 1: I asked empty house? You know, she quiet could have
- 25:16Speaker 1: been a mistake, you know, ask your husband to come

- 25:33Speaker 1: she know she supposed to tell her? Girl, I don't
- 25:37Speaker 1: fit to call your husband about this house. You already
- 25:41Speaker 1: know you posted just to hold down you because you
- 25:46Speaker 1: would want a phone call from her, Yes, because women
- 25:51Speaker 1: don't play that good girlfriend. Now, let me explain something
- 25:57Speaker 1: to you. You can't call my girl. No the wayman
- 26:05Speaker 1: hold of dog one, right, you gotta go through you
- 26:09Speaker 1: and we just you know, dog, you'd be working all
- 26:12Speaker 1: the time. And everybody knew that. Everybody know that. They

- 26:24Speaker 1: you calling huff? I'm just gonna I'm just gonna take
- 26:27Speaker 1: her the name of dog. We're just gonna run the
- 26:29Speaker 1: names right quick. She'll need you to take her to Nimes.
- 26:34Speaker 1: She got her own money, her own car, she got
- 26:37Speaker 1: her own car, she got a driver, pull up, come
- 26:43Speaker 1: to her. Okay, boy, man, I ain't falling for none
- 26:48Speaker 1: of that, all right. You know how these streets are. Man,
- 26:51Speaker 1: I'm just trying to look out for you, dog, that's all. Okay,
- 26:55Speaker 1: look somewhere else, all right, Let's get to this next one,

- 27:05Speaker 1: is the last one, Steve, and we've been dating six months.
- 27:09Speaker 1: I'm not ready for sex. And he keeps saying he's
- 27:12Speaker 1: going to cheat on me. But then he says he's joking.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Is he trying to trick me into sex by threatening me?
- 27:19Speaker 1: Is this normal guy behavior? Or is he playing games
- 27:23Speaker 1: with my head and my heart? What should I do?
- 27:26Speaker 1: It's all? That's all. That's all above is what you
- 27:30Speaker 1: can see the game. Is he playing games? He's trying

- 28:09Speaker 1: I don't really know these dudes doing it like this.
- 28:13Speaker 1: So yes, it's all of the above, young lady. He's
- 28:16Speaker 1: trying to play with your head. Tricky. He ain't playing
- 28:18Speaker 1: with your heart. He trying to get in your head.
- 28:21Speaker 1: He ready for sex. It's been six months. I can't
- 28:25Speaker 1: even you can stand Joe Grime. But now is he
- 28:28Speaker 1: playing these games? Is he trying to get you to
- 28:31Speaker 1: change your mind? Yes? Is he trying to convince you otherwise? Yes?
- 28:34Speaker 1: Did he drop a little hit eye cheat? And maybe
- 28:37Speaker 1: that Maybe that'll a get off of stands? All the
- 28:40Speaker 1: above is true and you have to go from that.
- 28:44Speaker 1: I don't know this guy, but I know he is
- 28:47Speaker 1: a guy. Yes. Is he trying to trick me into
- 28:50Speaker 1: sex by threatening me? Now? I don't know these young
- 28:54Speaker 1: dudes out here. This is holding off with no sex
- 28:56Speaker 1: for six months? I don't know. Hey, all right, he
- 29:02Speaker 1: six days here. All right, thank you, Cilo. Great advice.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Coming up at the time of the hour, we'll have
- 29:10Speaker 1: some entertainment news for you right after this. You're listening
- 29:13Speaker 1: to show. Neo joined us here, we remember on the
- 29:20Speaker 1: show last week to promote his new album. But over
- 29:23Speaker 1: the weekend we were satined and quite stunned to hear
- 29:26Speaker 1: about cheating rumors after its wife, Crystal Renee, blasted him
- 29:30Speaker 1: on social media. In a long post, Crystal wrote, eight
- 29:34Speaker 1: years of life and deception. Eight years of unknowingly sharing
- 29:38Speaker 1: my life and husband with numerous women who sell their
- 29:41Speaker 1: bodies to him, unprotected, every last one of them. To
- 29:45Speaker 1: say I'm heartbroken and disgusted is an understatement this That
- 29:50Speaker 1: was only a snippet of what she wrote, and she
- 29:53Speaker 1: ended it by calling Neo a narcissist. Neo then posted
- 29:57Speaker 1: Neil by the way like that post he her posts.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Then he posted a response to the cheating allegations on Twitter, saying,
- 30:04Speaker 1: for the sake of our children, my family, UH and
- 30:08Speaker 1: I will work through the challenges behind closed doors. Personal
- 30:11Speaker 1: matters are not meant to be addressed and dissected in
- 30:14Speaker 1: public forums. I simply ask that you please respect me
- 30:17Speaker 1: and my family's privacy at this time. Thanks you say,
- 30:21Speaker 1: you gotta called cheat they are going through. I feel
- 30:31Speaker 1: for you because I really do like Neo and he
- 30:34Speaker 1: said he had wrote that song to his wife. Yeah
- 30:38Speaker 1: and everything. I feel bad for the cat. I feel bad, yeah,
- 30:41Speaker 1: for their you know, yeah, for their marriage. Yeah. I mean,
- 30:45Speaker 1: we hate to see families break up like this. And
- 30:49Speaker 1: and quite frankly, it should be handled privately, don't you think. No,
- 30:55Speaker 1: it doesn't work on social media. It doesn't work because
- 30:59Speaker 1: these young people, now, this generation of We're gonna share
- 31:02Speaker 1: all our stuff. Now it's hard to heal on line. Yeah.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Now the comments you a fool girl. You need to
- 31:13Speaker 1: leave him. I saw him here and here and here.
- 31:17Speaker 1: It ain't no help because now this is the demise
- 31:20Speaker 1: of something. And when it comes to the demise of something,
- 31:23Speaker 1: that's the internet specialty. Yeah. Well, moving on to New Orleans,
- 31:29Speaker 1: a New Orleans based rapper Mystical, whose real name is
- 31:33Speaker 1: Michael Tyler, was arrested for the third time for alleged
- 31:36Speaker 1: sex crimes, and he has been charged with first degree rape,
- 31:39Speaker 1: false imprisonment, simple robbery, domestic abuse, and criminal property damage.
- 31:44Speaker 1: Mystical spent six years in prison after two thousand and
- 31:48Speaker 1: four arrest for sexually assaulting his hairstylist, and he had
- 31:52Speaker 1: to register as a sex offender upon his release. Then,
- 31:55Speaker 1: back in twenty seventeen, Mystical was detained again for an
- 31:59Speaker 1: alleged sexual assault against a female in a Shreveport casino,
- 32:03Speaker 1: but those charges were eventually dismissed. Wow, oh again, huh yeah,
- 32:11Speaker 1: this is yeah, yeah, it really really is. Yeah. I
- 32:18Speaker 1: thought it was an old post when I first saw it.
- 32:20Speaker 1: I thought, yeah, I thought it was an old post. Yeah.
- 32:24Speaker 1: Again and again and again. Yeah, some old sounded like
- 32:30Speaker 1: r Kelly stuff. Yeah yeah, pattern, uh huh pattern. Yeah.
- 32:38Speaker 1: This is horrible. Yeah, horrible for the victims. Absolutely absolutely,
- 32:44Speaker 1: um okay, So moving on to Florida A and M.
- 32:48Speaker 1: Terrika Williams, the recent Florida A M University graduate, went
- 32:52Speaker 1: viral this week after she posted a fully nude picture
- 32:56Speaker 1: of herself in front of fam use esteemed rat her statue.
- 33:01Speaker 1: She captioned the picture with the message about body positivity
- 33:05Speaker 1: and how she was frowned upon for dressing provocatively while
- 33:08Speaker 1: she was pursuing her career. She ended her caption with,
- 33:12Speaker 1: as I'm standing here with my master's degree at the
- 33:15Speaker 1: tender age of twenty four. I am the living proof
- 33:18Speaker 1: that clothes do not define you. I encourage everyone to
- 33:22Speaker 1: embrace their bodies and step aside, a step outside social
- 33:26Speaker 1: normspam Use Administration issued a statement that the university is
- 33:30Speaker 1: aware of the picture and the incident is currently under investigation.
- 33:34Speaker 1: Did you guys see the picture? Yes? Yes, yeah, A
- 33:38Speaker 1: beautiful girl, beautiful body, and I mean it's under investigation
- 33:42Speaker 1: for what what there ever? That's the snake, the famous Brattler. Yeah,
- 33:48Speaker 1: that's statue. Yeah, she posted it. You know. The sad
- 33:54Speaker 1: thing about this is for this young lady is whatever
- 33:59Speaker 1: her master's boring is. You know, you're gonna have to
- 34:03Speaker 1: go out now and earn a living now unless you're
- 34:05Speaker 1: gonna be in the new photo business. Uh, if you're
- 34:09Speaker 1: trying to do get a corporate job, they're gonna go
- 34:11Speaker 1: to your social media page. And I think this may
- 34:16Speaker 1: be damaging in the long run, or somebody's gonna use
- 34:21Speaker 1: it to their advantage. I wish my daughter would yeah,
- 34:26Speaker 1: would you say, I wish she'd have thought this over
- 34:30Speaker 1: me too. Yeah. Her point was she's living proof that
- 34:36Speaker 1: closed do not define you. Shouldn't make that point in
- 34:40Speaker 1: another way exactly exactly. Now if she was being criticized,
- 34:45Speaker 1: she claims for being dressing uh provocatively. So now I'm
- 34:50Speaker 1: gonna take all of them off. But where are we
- 34:53Speaker 1: going with the point? Yeah? Close? Fine? But nu did
- 34:58Speaker 1: you do? Though? I'm gonna tell you this, little little sister.
- 35:01Speaker 1: Clothes might that might not define you, but nudity damn
- 35:05Speaker 1: showd But we are women of color. It doesn't work
- 35:10Speaker 1: out the same for us as it does other women.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Pail built a career off of it. Kim Kardash it
- 35:18Speaker 1: a career off of it. You look at the girl
- 35:21Speaker 1: that was with uh, Hugh Grant, and her career went down. Here,
- 35:27Speaker 1: I'm gonna just tell you something. I love Halle Berry,
- 35:30Speaker 1: but ever since she did Monster Ball and just showed
- 35:34Speaker 1: her breast, it ain't been the same for her. Wow, yeah,
- 35:40Speaker 1: we need to think, all right. I forgave her. I mean,
- 35:45Speaker 1: I mean what she did wasn't that bad. But many
- 35:53Speaker 1: coming up at twenty minutes after the hour, the nephew
- 35:57Speaker 1: has a question for you, Steve, right after this you're listening,
- 36:03Speaker 1: all right, So temmy, Uh, what's going on? You want
- 36:07Speaker 1: to ask your uncle a question? Man? Now, listen, my
- 36:11Speaker 1: wife hold up. My friend's wife. My friend's wife is
- 36:21Speaker 1: the worst and I want to say the worst driver,
- 36:24Speaker 1: but just drives too damn fast every time we get
- 36:30Speaker 1: I mean every time they together. Okay, drive him too
- 36:33Speaker 1: damn fast. And it's at the point now where I
- 36:37Speaker 1: want he wants to go to church in a separate car.
- 36:42Speaker 1: When it's time to go to dinner, he want to go,
- 36:46Speaker 1: you know, in a separate car. It's just it's just
- 36:48Speaker 1: gotten out of control because it's just too damn fast.
- 36:53Speaker 1: How do we fix this issue? Issue is the way
- 36:56Speaker 1: to resolve it. But that's that's been his takeaway. I'm
- 37:00Speaker 1: just gonna drop. I mean, he just gonna drive himself
- 37:02Speaker 1: way he wanted. Yea asking for a friend, right, asking
- 37:05Speaker 1: for Yeah, I really should have rehearsed that first of all,
- 37:12Speaker 1: use a damn food for just the way you phrase
- 37:18Speaker 1: this whole thing, because it is quite obvious who this
- 37:22Speaker 1: this free game is. You are starts next. I don't
- 37:30Speaker 1: know how you're gonna be able to fix this because
- 37:33Speaker 1: you've gone public with it. Oftentime suggested to people that
- 37:39Speaker 1: you keep your relationship business all social media, and even
- 37:44Speaker 1: though this isn't on social media, what you just said,
- 37:47Speaker 1: you are over free international airwaves. Everything we say is
- 37:54Speaker 1: recorded and reserved and placed up in the archives of cyberspace.
- 37:59Speaker 1: So there for I don't understand the point now to
- 38:03Speaker 1: answer your question, it was really not a damn thing
- 38:06Speaker 1: you could do. You're sitting in ride like that or what? Man?
- 38:11Speaker 1: Ask your question? Your question? How is the complayon working out?
- 38:16Speaker 1: Because when we make them mad, they go faster, faster
- 38:20Speaker 1: they have you noticed that, So it's better just gonna
- 38:23Speaker 1: take the speed that they was gonna do it at
- 38:26Speaker 1: because pissed off speed is always fast. Explained forty miles
- 38:32Speaker 1: an hour and looking in the back seat at one
- 38:35Speaker 1: of them kids, and take full second for you turn
- 38:37Speaker 1: back around, explain Marjorie has driven and I thought it
- 38:42Speaker 1: was too fast. Now before I say something to make
- 38:46Speaker 1: her mad, and she stepped on the gas faster. I
- 38:51Speaker 1: just sit there and what I do is I look down.
- 38:56Speaker 1: I don't even watch the houses and telephone poles going.
- 39:02Speaker 1: All right, coming up next, we got to talk to
- 39:04Speaker 1: sister Odell at thirty four minutes after the out right
- 39:07Speaker 1: after this, you're listening, stay morning show, All right, ladies

- 42:46Speaker 1: He passed around collection plate. You know he do what
- 42:51Speaker 1: he wanted to do. When you pass around collection plate,

- 44:23Speaker 1: what's one is? Let's hope not. We'll get into it
- 44:29Speaker 1: in a few minutes to find out what that's all about,
- 44:31Speaker 1: because right now it is time for the nephew and
- 44:34Speaker 1: today's Frank phone call. What you got for us today? Next? Well, Charlotte,
- 44:37Speaker 1: that comes to time when a child is not doing
- 44:41Speaker 1: well in school and you have to repeat a particular grade.
- 44:46Speaker 1: You understand, you know, been held back as they would
- 44:50Speaker 1: stay back in the day. You know they held you back.
- 44:52Speaker 1: You got to repeat. And it's sometimes it happens early.
- 44:55Speaker 1: Sometimes it will happen in pre k. You understand what
- 44:58Speaker 1: I'm saying. Yeah, yeah, pre k. You know. So this
- 45:04Speaker 1: right here is your son going back to pre k,
- 45:09Speaker 1: going back to pre k and some things that he's
- 45:11Speaker 1: not doing well and we want to work on it.
- 45:14Speaker 1: But your son, I hate to say it, is going
- 45:17Speaker 1: back to pre k, cat dog if you would, however, yes,
- 45:21Speaker 1: I'm time to reach miss Thomas. Please, my name is
- 45:25Speaker 1: mister Stapleton. I'm actually the principal over at elementary school.
- 45:30Speaker 1: You're I'm looking at my records indicating that your son,
- 45:33Speaker 1: Thomas is going to be starting his first grade. Ready, right, listen,
- 45:39Speaker 1: missus Thomas. Um, I've been going through actually all of
- 45:42Speaker 1: the children's records that will be starting school, and I'm
- 45:46Speaker 1: looking at your son's grades from his kindergarten. Well, no,
- 45:53Speaker 1: not exactly. I mean there's been a few. Uh. I
- 45:56Speaker 1: actually spoke with the teacher who he was under in kindergarten,
- 46:00Speaker 1: and it seems like he just really wasn't up to
- 46:03Speaker 1: par as the rest of the children. Mm. Now his conduct, now,
- 46:07Speaker 1: he talked, but he gets his work. So what else
- 46:10Speaker 1: is she saying on that that ain't right? Well, what's
- 46:13Speaker 1: what it seems to be, ma'am, is that his grades
- 46:15Speaker 1: weren't up to par as the rest of the other children.
- 46:17Speaker 1: She did tell me he was a disobedient child. No,
- 46:20Speaker 1: he disobedient and talking two different things. Come on. Okay, well, man, listen,
- 46:25Speaker 1: what we've decided here is we're gonna let a little
- 46:29Speaker 1: actually do another year of kindergarten. No, y'all, ain't gonna
- 46:32Speaker 1: let him do another year of kindergarten. No, sir man,
- 46:35Speaker 1: that's that's the only choice I have. No. We got
- 46:39Speaker 1: our letter in the mail with our report card the
- 46:42Speaker 1: week after school started, and it said on the back promoted.
- 46:47Speaker 1: And if I got to get about this couch and
- 46:48Speaker 1: go get it, I'm gonna be because I'm telling you
- 46:52Speaker 1: right now we will be in the first grade. Kindergarten
- 46:55Speaker 1: won't that hard. I'm not sure what they told you
- 46:58Speaker 1: about him, but it must be the wrong. Well, I
- 47:01Speaker 1: understanding he's he doesn't color as well as arrested kids.
- 47:04Speaker 1: He's all out of the he's out of the lines
- 47:06Speaker 1: when he color. He doesn't know his numbers completely. And
- 47:09Speaker 1: that's kind of what we need when you first come
- 47:11Speaker 1: into into the first grad when I can show you
- 47:14Speaker 1: on this paper he did satisfactory all the way through.
- 47:17Speaker 1: Now you about to me off, and I'm already sick
- 47:20Speaker 1: calling me with some about my son blank and kinder garden.
- 47:24Speaker 1: He ain't that kind of He does not color. Well, man, listen,
- 47:28Speaker 1: color ain't gonna do with the dad guard kindergarden. He
- 47:31Speaker 1: is going to the first grade, and I'll be down
- 47:33Speaker 1: there on August twenty four. No, I will not be
- 47:35Speaker 1: able to allow you to get into school at mister,
- 47:39Speaker 1: I'm sorry, and let me get Let's tell you what.
- 47:42Speaker 1: Let me go on and get my pencil pen because
- 47:43Speaker 1: I don't live that far from this school. And if
- 47:45Speaker 1: y'all aren't ready down there causing some comfort, I need
- 47:48Speaker 1: to get up and go down there, because I'm not
- 47:49Speaker 1: telling my baby when he come home to day that
- 47:51Speaker 1: he ain't going to the dad gun first man. I
- 47:53Speaker 1: hate to say it, but I'm gonna have to refuse
- 47:55Speaker 1: education from him on August twenty four. You know what,
- 47:58Speaker 1: I just went back and put him in publish fool.
- 48:00Speaker 1: I know that was a stake in the first place.
- 48:02Speaker 1: Food which you're talking about some coloring. Give me your
- 48:04Speaker 1: name again, sir Stapleton man, And what's that number down there?
- 48:08Speaker 1: The number here is actually area code women. I got
- 48:12Speaker 1: the number. Now, mind, I pulled up this report card.
- 48:14Speaker 1: I got the number in your name on the back
- 48:15Speaker 1: of this paper. I'll tell you what I was towing to.
- 48:18Speaker 1: Fourth will be coming in there going to school, and
- 48:20Speaker 1: I might make a trip around that this evening when
- 48:22Speaker 1: I come from the document. The bottom line is, I'm
- 48:25Speaker 1: not going to hear that. Colin ain't got nothing to
- 48:27Speaker 1: do with nothing else. It's not only color, he's a
- 48:31Speaker 1: rithmetickets back. No, are you working with him at home?
- 48:35Speaker 1: Are you doing anything at home every day? What you're
- 48:38Speaker 1: trying to say, I'm an incompetent parent. I'm just asking,
- 48:40Speaker 1: as a parent, are you working with your child? Working
- 48:42Speaker 1: with my child every day? He can read better than you. Probably, No,
- 48:46Speaker 1: he can't read. I'm the prince. I can't read better
- 48:48Speaker 1: than you, because honestly, you read that role on that
- 48:50Speaker 1: paper that he's supposed to be going back to kindergarten.
- 48:52Speaker 1: When I know the paper say from it going to
- 48:55Speaker 1: the first grade. And I'm not listening to no more
- 48:57Speaker 1: this about him going backwards. Now, if you got a
- 49:00Speaker 1: problem with your paper, word, maybe you need to go
- 49:04Speaker 1: talk to your secretary of somebody in there that wrote
- 49:06Speaker 1: my baby name down? Well, your name, your son's name,
- 49:09Speaker 1: Thomas Man. No, it ain't him, baby, I know it
- 49:12Speaker 1: ain't him. You're not gonna sit up and tell me
- 49:13Speaker 1: my son is flocking kindergarden. He is not going back
- 49:16Speaker 1: to that kindergarten. Don't bring your son down here, August,
- 49:21Speaker 1: I tell you once be ready to up me and
- 49:22Speaker 1: my husband. But we will be down there August force backpack, shoes,
- 49:27Speaker 1: uniform everything. You hear me, I will not be able
- 49:29Speaker 1: to allow him and education and that right now. I
- 49:32Speaker 1: will come down there right now and make that correction
- 49:34Speaker 1: on that paper for your baby is not going back
- 49:37Speaker 1: to no kindergarten for no coloring? Can you bring him
- 49:40Speaker 1: down him and let him color for me? So I
- 49:42Speaker 1: can't you tell my color in the rimon taking out
- 49:44Speaker 1: theselfs No, uh no, I'm sorry. We will be down
- 49:48Speaker 1: there August the twenty four. I would have this poor
- 49:51Speaker 1: card in my head that says you have been promoted
- 49:54Speaker 1: to the first brother. He's gonna have a mole on
- 49:56Speaker 1: his face, and so are you. I got one more
- 49:57Speaker 1: thing I need to tell you. Are you listening to me?
- 50:00Speaker 1: I'm listening. You ain't saying nothing. Yeah, you better say
- 50:03Speaker 1: something that sounds like the first grade, because I'm not playing.
- 50:05Speaker 1: I would go down to this day on the administrative
- 50:07Speaker 1: office and I had fine because my son would be
- 50:10Speaker 1: in that first grade. Who are you raising your voice?
- 50:13Speaker 1: Who are you raising your voice? You talking crasid to me?
- 50:16Speaker 1: I'm talking cresident him what. I'm a grown woman. I
- 50:19Speaker 1: don't need the best friend to you. Why I'm trying
- 50:21Speaker 1: to Did you graduate? Honey? I am a college degree person.
- 50:26Speaker 1: I have a great job, my husband and not do
- 50:28Speaker 1: well for ourselves and for our children. And that's why
- 50:30Speaker 1: we're not. You're not You're not even at work right now, man,
- 50:33Speaker 1: I said, I'm shack phone. I told you that when
- 50:35Speaker 1: you call him writing on the doctor to call me
- 50:38Speaker 1: now a partner missing my phone call? Can you color
- 50:40Speaker 1: because your son can't color? Why? God questions that? Ask me?
- 50:45Speaker 1: Can I color? Why don't you white? And black? Y?
- 50:47Speaker 1: Ask missie dressed me? I'm my color. No, I ask
- 50:50Speaker 1: you can you color like some racist lines and that
- 50:53Speaker 1: can you color? No? I'm my color and me be color.
- 50:58Speaker 1: Ain't got nothing to do with none of this. It's
- 51:00Speaker 1: just a race thing. No, you're trying to make sure
- 51:02Speaker 1: you send him back. No, I'm not trying to send
- 51:04Speaker 1: him back. I want to send him back to color
- 51:06Speaker 1: to get his coloring together. You what that ain't got
- 51:09Speaker 1: nothing to do with nothing. And if you're the head
- 51:11Speaker 1: person down there now, you aren't competent and you aren't
- 51:14Speaker 1: in a literate Call me and tell me that my
- 51:17Speaker 1: son has to go back to the first grad. I
- 51:19Speaker 1: got one more thing I don't want mixed up. I'll
- 51:21Speaker 1: tell you what I'm through with. This guy comes through
- 51:22Speaker 1: with this guy. I'm gonna say one more thing and
- 51:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna be out here. Are you listening, I'm listening.
- 51:26Speaker 1: That's his nephew, Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 51:29Speaker 1: You just got prank by your girlfriend, Felicia. I'm gonna
- 51:34Speaker 1: be Felicia's. I am gonna be hot. You're about to
- 51:41Speaker 1: get to out the plant. I mean, I'm rite nomas
- 51:44Speaker 1: and everything. Thing now, I'm gonna everything. I'm gonna beat
- 51:47Speaker 1: her because you know I don't play when it comes
- 51:49Speaker 1: to back. That's all right, all right, but one more question. Now,
- 51:53Speaker 1: what is the baddest I'm talking about the baddest radio
- 51:56Speaker 1: show in the land. That's Steve Harvey Morning. Y'all, baby,
- 52:00Speaker 1: you gotta know how to color. You know what I'm saying.
- 52:01Speaker 1: If you don't know how to color inside their lines,
- 52:04Speaker 1: if you can't keep that that little crayon inside the line,
- 52:07Speaker 1: that lets me know that you are not ready for kindergarten. Okay,
- 52:12Speaker 1: you got you got to go back to the free k.
- 52:14Speaker 1: But she wasn't having that at all. So at all
- 52:17Speaker 1: make sense. You don't know how therapeutic it is when
- 52:21Speaker 1: somebody just cussed me out on the phone. You don't
- 52:23Speaker 1: know what it feels like it and ever, let you
- 52:27Speaker 1: know you did a good job. I know I'm doing
- 52:29Speaker 1: my job. I know I'm on the point because the
- 52:32Speaker 1: cussing is the payoff. It's okay, you know it's been
- 52:36Speaker 1: a feud. I couldn't play for y'all. This's like when
- 52:38Speaker 1: I see your Timmy that she asked, I got it.
- 52:41Speaker 1: I got But when you really gonna see me, yeah,
- 52:46Speaker 1: see me. Yeah. But if they do, though, when you're
- 52:51Speaker 1: gonna see you, you're gonna tell them coming to a kid,
- 52:53Speaker 1: and then you you won't. I'm just saying, man, let
- 52:58Speaker 1: it go. It's just a prank, baby, and I prank.
- 53:01Speaker 1: I prank in a nice way. Okay, I'm not malicious.
- 53:03Speaker 1: But when I get you, I get you. Just laugh
- 53:05Speaker 1: at all. That's all it is. But all this when
- 53:07Speaker 1: I see you, Timmy, that show as you know, be
- 53:09Speaker 1: ye ready, okay, all right, all right, But until we
- 53:13Speaker 1: got a good prank out of you, thank you. You're welcome,

- 53:55Speaker 1: on tight. We got it for you. Here. It is
- 53:57Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter, all right, thinking nephew, subject fight or flight,
- 54:01Speaker 1: Fight or flight. Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a thirty year
- 54:05Speaker 1: old flight attendant and I'm married to a forty four
- 54:08Speaker 1: year old professor. I met him when I was in
- 54:10Speaker 1: grad school and we started dating after I got my degree.
- 54:15Speaker 1: He was going through a divorce and we kept our
- 54:17Speaker 1: relationship private until it was finalized. He has a seventeen
- 54:20Speaker 1: year old daughter that found out on social media and
- 54:23Speaker 1: she started a lot of chaos in our lives. She
- 54:27Speaker 1: didn't show up at our wedding and did devastated my
- 54:30Speaker 1: husband he was upset that his ex wife allowed her
- 54:33Speaker 1: to skip the wedding. I was over her by that time,
- 54:36Speaker 1: so I didn't care. Now, she's about to turn eighteen
- 54:40Speaker 1: and asked if she can come live with us in
- 54:42Speaker 1: Florida and attend a fashion school. I never answered my husband,
- 54:46Speaker 1: and he eventually flipped out on me and made the
- 54:50Speaker 1: executive decision to allow her to come. I fixed up
- 54:53Speaker 1: our home office for her, and I moved my desk
- 54:55Speaker 1: on to our sun porch. I was so irritated. He
- 55:00Speaker 1: has been here four months and she has done exactly
- 55:02Speaker 1: what I knew she was going to do. Now, when
- 55:05Speaker 1: she's got an attitude, I leave and go to work.
- 55:08Speaker 1: I take any flight available so I can get away
- 55:10Speaker 1: from this girl. My husband and I argue because he
- 55:14Speaker 1: says I'm not a positive role model for her. She's
- 55:17Speaker 1: a grown woman to me, and she's got parents that
- 55:19Speaker 1: failed her and allowed her to disrespect grown people. I
- 55:23Speaker 1: told my husband that if she pops off at the
- 55:25Speaker 1: mouth one more time, I'm going to pop her. He
- 55:28Speaker 1: says I need to learn how to be a parent,
- 55:30Speaker 1: and I told him I will as soon as he
- 55:32Speaker 1: makes me one. I would rather work and deal with
- 55:35Speaker 1: the plane full of needy passengers instead of dealing with
- 55:37Speaker 1: a grown child. My husband told me that my fight
- 55:41Speaker 1: or flight mentality is ruining us. He can't see that
- 55:46Speaker 1: his child is defusive and honoring. Am I wrong or
- 55:50Speaker 1: does he need to put her out? Absolutely? Yes, I
- 55:55Speaker 1: think you're wrong. I do think you're wrong on so
- 55:58Speaker 1: many levels. Here tell you why. It's simple. You are
- 56:02Speaker 1: the adult. You keep calling her a grown woman. You
- 56:05Speaker 1: keep saying she's grown, but she's really still a child.
- 56:08Speaker 1: You're grown when you can pay your own way and
- 56:10Speaker 1: when you can take care of yourself, and she's not
- 56:12Speaker 1: doing that right now. She's in your home, she's living
- 56:15Speaker 1: off you, guys, she's living with you. Guys. You're also
- 56:18Speaker 1: grown when you can face your problems head on. But
- 56:22Speaker 1: what do you do? You run and jump on a
- 56:24Speaker 1: flight and, as you say, deal with a plane full
- 56:27Speaker 1: of needy passengers rather than trying to fix a problem
- 56:31Speaker 1: at the house. And yes, it is a problem because
- 56:33Speaker 1: it's causing you and your husband to argue. Now, why
- 56:36Speaker 1: would you let that happen? You two should present a
- 56:41Speaker 1: united front to his daughter, making it impossible for her
- 56:44Speaker 1: to come between you guys, because that is what's happening,
- 56:47Speaker 1: that situation you all are allowing to let it come
- 56:49Speaker 1: between you. Stay home in the midst of all this
- 56:53Speaker 1: and handle your situation. No more jumping on planes when
- 56:56Speaker 1: you can't deal with it anymore. I say, first you
- 56:59Speaker 1: and your husband talk, agree on some basic house rules.
- 57:03Speaker 1: Then a family meeting should be called to let the
- 57:05Speaker 1: daughter know about the new changes. And again, remember you
- 57:08Speaker 1: and your husband are on the same team, and you
- 57:10Speaker 1: guys are the adults. I mean, she needs to see
- 57:13Speaker 1: that you guys are together. He's her dad, but he's
- 57:16Speaker 1: your husband, which means that's your house and your rules.
- 57:20Speaker 1: So as you know, she's welcome as long as she
- 57:23Speaker 1: abides by the house rules. I mean that means no attitudes,
- 57:27Speaker 1: no popping off at the mouth, no disrespect of any kind.
- 57:30Speaker 1: And let me say this, if she pops off at
- 57:33Speaker 1: the mouth one more time, you're gonna pop her. Don't
- 57:36Speaker 1: don't pop her. That's not what this is all about.
- 57:39Speaker 1: Don't do that. I mean, you know she's angry, she's
- 57:41Speaker 1: she's trying you and all of that trying to come
- 57:44Speaker 1: between her. But you don't have to take it there.
- 57:47Speaker 1: You can be the bigger person here. You can invite
- 57:49Speaker 1: her to lunch. You can do something fun with her,
- 57:52Speaker 1: you know, and try to make peace with her, and
- 57:55Speaker 1: like your husband said, be a role model for her.
- 57:58Speaker 1: I think you should try that before you give up
- 58:00Speaker 1: on this situation and start, you know, popping her and
- 58:03Speaker 1: all that altogether. Steve, Wow, this is gonna have a
- 58:10Speaker 1: couple of twisting turns in it. I agree with what
- 58:16Speaker 1: Shirley's saying about the letter. The problem The real problem
- 58:20Speaker 1: here is in the letter writer. That seems to be
- 58:23Speaker 1: the real problem. Now you're thirty year old flight attendant
- 58:27Speaker 1: and you're married to a forty four year old professor. Now, see,
- 58:31Speaker 1: I want you to understand something. The news got out
- 58:35Speaker 1: some kind of way because this story got told because
- 58:40Speaker 1: somebody knows he was your professor at school. I met
- 58:45Speaker 1: him when I was a grad school and we started
- 58:47Speaker 1: dating after I got my degree. He was going through
- 58:50Speaker 1: a divorce and we kept our relationship private until it
- 58:54Speaker 1: was finalized. He has a seventeen year old daughter that
- 58:58Speaker 1: found out on social media and she started a lot
- 59:01Speaker 1: of chaos in our lives. Well, the daughter found out
- 59:05Speaker 1: what on social media that you all were dating or
- 59:09Speaker 1: you all had gotten married. I think she found out
- 59:13Speaker 1: y'all was dating, so quite naturally, her and the mother
- 59:18Speaker 1: are now blaming you as the cause of the divorce.
- 59:23Speaker 1: That's how it always works, ain't it. Yes, So now
- 59:28Speaker 1: after they found out on social media, she started a
- 59:31Speaker 1: lot of chaos in our lives. She didn't show up
- 59:34Speaker 1: at our wedding, and it devastated my husband. He was
- 59:37Speaker 1: upset that his ex wife allowed her to skip the wedding.
- 59:41Speaker 1: You mean his ex wife didn't make her go to
- 59:45Speaker 1: the wed His ex wife wasn't now, so the ex
- 59:49Speaker 1: wife didn't make the daughter go to the wedding. What
- 59:52Speaker 1: you mean allow her to skip it. She's seventeen. She
- 59:55Speaker 1: didn't want to go down there because she figured you
- 59:58Speaker 1: the reason her mom and daddy ain't together. And her
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: mama then co signed that, because as soon as you
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: started dating somebody, they're going, oh here she is right here,
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: You the reason, and you was dating, and you younger
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: and you young Hang on, Steve, Part two of your
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: responses coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: Today's Strawberry Letters subject fight or Flight will get back
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: into it right after this. You're listening show, all right,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: Come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter the subject
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: fight or Flight. Thirty ye old flight attendant is married
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: to a forty four year old professor. She met the
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: professor in grad school and they started dating after she
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: got the degree. That's what she says. He was going
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: through a divorce and we kept our relationship private until
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: it was finalized. He got a seventeen year old daughter
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: that found out on social media and she started a
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: lot of chaos in her life. She was seventeen then, right, well,
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: now listen to this. She didn't show up at our wedding,
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: and it devastated my hut because he was upset that
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: his ex wife allowed her to skip the wed Now,
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: his ex wife didn't make her go down there because
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: the ex wife and the daughter then came to the
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: conclusion that this young girl you married is the reason
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: why y'all got the divorce anyway, And that's exactly how
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: it looked. And then when they found out about y'all's
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: relationship on social media, that validated because it was only
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: telling one's story. Then you said, I was overheard by
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: that time, so I didn't care. So now you didn't
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: care if she come to the wind because you overheard
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: by that time. It was a year of chaos and
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: you was through with your girl. Now she's about to
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: turn eighteen. Oh so it wasn't even a whole year,
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: because now you say it was about to turn into
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: you see how fast this is moving. But you left
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: that out the letter. Baby, Maybe we left that. After
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: she finds out, then next thing she know, y'all getting
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: married and there's a fourteen year age difference. And you
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: were his student while he was a professor, and y'all
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: were seeing each other while they still were married and
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: not getting boys because y'all kept it a See see
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: how this worked. You see how this works? Now she
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: want to come live with y'all in Florida and attend
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: the fashion school. I never answered my husband. He eventually
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: flipped out on me and made an executive decision to
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: allow her to come. It's his daughter. She want to
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: come down and stay with her daddy, go to fashion school.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: What you want him to say, except yes, I fixed
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: up our home office for her. I moved my desk
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: into our s port. I was so irritated you did
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: all this begrudgingly. She has been there four months and
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: she's done exactly what I knew. She was gonna do.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: Now she's got an attitude. Now when she's got a
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: n attitude, I leave and go to work. See you're
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: not explaining this. You're not explaining She did exactly what
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: you want. You don't give us no information. I take
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: a flight whenever available, anything to get away from this girl.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: My husband, I argue because he says I'm not a
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: positive role model for her. She's a grown woman. To me,
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: Shirley's right, she's not a grown woman. She's eighteen. She's
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: just not turning eighteen. She's a child. She don't get it. Now,
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: you're an a dog. You know what happened? You know
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: why this girl mad. She's got parents that failed her
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: and allowed her to disrespect grown people. Wait a minute,
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: respect on social media? You dating her daddy, that's divorcing
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: her mama? Wow they still married that You kept it
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: a secret. That's what you said. Respect. See you want
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: something you wasn't willing to give. See, little sister, that's
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: how this game work now, just a growing folk game.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: I'm just giving it to you straight, I told my husband.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: And she pops off at the mouth one more time.
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: I'm gonna pop up and then and then what because
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: she talking that you're gonna hit her in the mouth,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: so you're gonna resort to violence. Carroll Parroll stopped. He says,
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: I need to learn how to be a parent. I
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: told him as soon as I will, as soon as
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: he makes me one. Wait a minute, excuse me, Pard Parry.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: You're twelve years older than this girl. Yet best you
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: can be her big sister, But parent she has too
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: parroent you not, she's nothing to call you mama. Ain't
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: none of this is fitting to work. I'm gonna have
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: a suggestion for you to say. I told him, as
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: soon as he makes me well, I would rather work
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: and deal with a playful the needy passengers instead of
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: dealing with a grown child. You keep saying grown. But
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: she a child, She's not grown. My husband told me
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: that my fighter fighter flight mentality is ruining us. He
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: can't see that his child is devisive and honoring. Am
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: I wrong? Or does he need to put her out?
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: First of all, he can't put his daughter out. Were
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: you asking a man to not be a man. You're
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: asking a father to not be a father. You're asking
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: a man to show his daughter an example of man
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: that he's hoping that one day she would be able
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: to find put her out? Are you kidding me? She's
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: the worst? And you for asking that, what's wrong with
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: your maturity level? No, he can't ask his daughter to leave,
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: and no he can't put her out. I'm gonna tell
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: you right here, y'all. You never failed to mention in
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: this letter that you all have ever had to sit
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: down to discuss this, to work through it, because you
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: know what your corner decided. You don't like her. You
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: were through both. She came to your house and now
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: you're reaping what you sow. You remember how you got
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: your man? Definitely right? All right, Steve, thank you. Please
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: leave your comments on today's Strawberry Letter on Instagram at
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: Steve Harvey FM and check out the Strawberry Letter podcast
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: on demand. Coming up next, it is Junior and Sports Talk.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening to Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: it is time now for Junior and Sports Talk. Junior,
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: what you got? Well, the biggest sports store that's going on.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: It's Tommy Cleveland, Brown's quarterback to Seann Watson has been
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: suspended for six games after over twenty women accused him
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: of being sexually inappropriate with him. The ruler was handed
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: down on Monday and stated that Watson did violate the
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: NFL's personal conduct possibly. Both the NFL and the NFL
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: Players Association will have the opportunity to appeal watch the suspension,
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: but the players Association said they will not. They will
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: not appeal it. Un do you think six games it's
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: too late? How was the suspension? Be he mad about
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: the six? Well, I don't think the six is too light.
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: And I'm gonna tell you why because I know for
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: a fact that this lawyer, it was hired to bring
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: down Deshaun Watson by the owner of the Texas who
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: he lives right next door to. After Deshaun Watson said
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: he didn't want to play. Noway, did he sexually assault anybody?
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: Not according to any of the charges and not according
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: to any of the evidence, and nobody's saying he But
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: he did inappropriate behavior that I would agree to. So
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: no violent But in your window, Hey you wanna hold me,
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: you want to touch me? You know how many people
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: have done that? Yeah? Now, but that is a violation
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: of the NFL policy because it makes the shield look bad.
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: But two grand juries file nothing, no charge, wadges of
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: any kind, and then the key women said they wasn't
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: testifying to that. For whatever the reason, it's over. As
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: far as I'm concerned. If he has a punishment to take,
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: it's a sick game suspension, that's what it is. Let
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: me tell y'all something. If they could do more to
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: this man, they would, They would have done a point.
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: If they had more to do, they would, but they
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: knew they had to do something. So you know, as
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: far as I see, it's do we need a statement
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: from him, then say nothing. You don't need to say nothing.
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: You got to sex game suspension. Don't mouth man. He's
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: been making statements all along. You know, some believe that
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: the NFL has failed women again with the six game suspension.
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: A lot of female journalists are writing that and they're
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: saying that the NFL has once again, you know, just
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: gave him a slap on the wrist with the well
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: fail had hired an outside judge to handle this, a
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: female to do whatever the judge wanted to do. So
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: it was from an outside council. Everybody agreed to this,
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: but you know, we're in the council culture, so everybody, now,
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: this whole man career got to be gone. Man, all right,
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: we see what keep you posted on this story? Junior,
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: thank you. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: here's a question, what's the weirdest place you've ever had
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: SCS sex? Sex? Right after this, you're listening to show.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: A military museum in Poland is becoming popular, but popular
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: for the wrong reason. Visitors go there to have sex
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: behind the exhibition. The museum upgrade at their entire camera
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: system and found that for some odd reason, people love
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: having sex behind the o work. So now there is signage.
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: Uh huh, Now there is signage up asking visitors to
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: stop having sex on the property. And what do you
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: think it is that gets them so turned on? In
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: a military museum? And what is that about? That's a
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: pretty weird place to have sex. Uniform? Why you gotta
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: put us I'm saying, don't you because it's it's out
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: of hand, it's just too much. It's popular. But is
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: it something about a military museum that turns people on? No,
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: I like my house myself. Yeah, I know where everything
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: at m you know? But what okay, so can we
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: can we ask you? Yeah? What is go ahead? Can
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: we ask? Can we ask y'all? That's all we can,
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: we ask you can, we ask you can We have comedians.

- 1:20:03Speaker 1: for sure. Well all in closing, I'd like to remind
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: people as kind of something we had kind of touched
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: on in the opening of the show, Junior said that
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: he heard a quote. Junior, do you remember what the
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: quote was that you said, Yes, sir. It says, if
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: you think the cost of success is high, wait till
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: you get the bill from regret. One more time, if
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: you think the cost of success is high, wait until
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: you get the bill from Regret. We had talked about
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: this this morning. If you think the cost of success
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: is high, wait till you get the bill for regret.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: I've been in that decision before. And everyone gets to
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: those moments in life where you have to turn right
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: or you turn and left. And I'm not saying turn
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: right as in the right way or left is the
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: wrong way. I'm just saying everybody gets to a cross
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: road in life where you have to go this way
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: or that way. What I found in life is that
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: the way that you should go is always the harder.
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: The harder route it usually always is. It looks the
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: least amount of fun. It doesn't show right away what
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: all the upside is. It just looks hard. Then that's
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: an easy way you could take. You can strike out
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: and set your boundaries as difficult and high and hard,
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: or you can take the easier route and go I
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: ain't gonna do nothing. I ain't doing that today. That
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: just looked too hard. I've made the decision before in
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: my life not to take the hard way and boil, boil, boiled, boy,
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: I had nothing but regret. So what I've learned in
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: my travel and in my life experiences, it is I
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: now understand that success is a process, and it is
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: a difficult process. It is simply hard. But that's my
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: only decision from here on out. And I've been making
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: those decisions since I was nearly forty. I don't take
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: no easy way. I expect it to be difficult. I
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: expected to be challenging. I know that it's gonna be hard.
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: I know it's gonna be froth with disappointment. I know
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: it's going to be most challenging. But I also know
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: it's gonna be very, very rewarding. But I will not
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: do It's take the nothing route, the easy route, the
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: settle forward route that I ain't gonna do this because
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: this right here, man, I just ain't doing that today.
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: Because buddy, let me tell you something, when you get
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: that bill for regret, when you look back on what
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: it should have could have man if I only had
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: went on and faced it, that's a hard when to
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: live with. Man, that's a life of regret. And all
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: of us know somebody somewhere who is living in a
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: life of regret and man quitting. Quitting is the biggest
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: sponsor of regret because when you quit, you never know
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: what the end could have been. See. Often the struggler
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: has given up when he might have captured the victor's cup,
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: and he learns too late, when the night came down,
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: how close he was to the golden crown. See that
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: standsa in that poem, don't quit. It's a very effective one.
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: Often the struggler has given up when he might have
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: captured the victor's cup, and he learns too late, when
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: the night came down, how close he was to the
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: golden crown. That's regret, man, when you give up, just
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: in the nick of time, Because giving up assoes you
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: one thing, and one thing only, that you will not win,
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: that there is no way you can see victory. That's
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: what giving up guarantees. Now, I ain't no guarantee if
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: you stay with it, but the possibility remains that you
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: will succeed and you will become a victor. But see
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: so to those of you that look at things so
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: wrong all the time. Yeah, but see Steve, you just said,
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: even if you stick with it, it ain't no guarantee.
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: Ain't no guarantees in life. But if you stick with it,
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: the possibility remains. Why would you destroy the possibility? Why
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: would you remove all hope? That don't make no sense
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: to me. And even if you fail, if you're going
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: a little bit further up the road, you get a
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: little bit more experienced, you get a little bit more learning,
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: you get a little bit more knowledge, so the next
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: time that may be the experience and the knowledge you
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: need to win. Don't ever give up, don't ever quit,
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: don't ever succumb to regret. Stay with it. You never
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: know when God is gonna flip the switch, and he
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: ain't never been too late. Those are my closing remarks. Hey, y'all,
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: do yourself a favor. Talk to God today. He would
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: absolutely love to hear from you. And it don't matter
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: if you ain't talk to him in a while. He's
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: a forgiving God. He's forgiving me thousands of times. I'm
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: gonna probably use up a few hundred more for our
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: leader world. I'm gonna try to cut it down to
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: just a few hundred and not do the thousands. After
