- 0:01Speaker 1: All right.
- 0:01Speaker 2: First up, let me just say it has been a
- 0:03Speaker 2: pleasure to be at the White House doing some interviews
- 0:06Speaker 2: celebrating the firste hundred days of the Trump administration. And
- 0:10Speaker 2: joining us a little bit later is going to be
- 0:12Speaker 2: Tricia McLaughlin. She is going to give us an update
- 0:15Speaker 2: of what's happening when it comes to the border issues.
- 0:18Speaker 2: This isn't Secretary at the Department of Homeland Security, and
- 0:21Speaker 2: she's going to join us to talk about that important issue.
- 0:24Speaker 3: So stay around for that.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Now, before I get to that, I want to talk
- 0:29Speaker 2: to you about a very important case at the Supreme Court.
- 0:33Speaker 2: It is a case that is getting virtually no attention
- 0:37Speaker 2: right now, and it's a case about parental rights. Do
- 0:41Speaker 2: parents have the right to protect their kids from gender
- 0:45Speaker 2: ideology in public schools? Now, there are a lot of
- 0:50Speaker 2: different things that have happened in our public schools that
- 0:53Speaker 2: we're now finding out about.
- 0:54Speaker 3: I'll give you an example.
- 0:55Speaker 2: The Supreme Court is hearing these oral arguments and Mohammed
- 0:59Speaker 2: versus Haler, and it considers whether religious parents can opt
- 1:04Speaker 2: their young children out of mandatory readings of LGBTQIA story books. Now,
- 1:12Speaker 2: this is one of the books in the case, and
- 1:14Speaker 2: it is this what are your words question?
- 1:18Speaker 4: Mark.
- 1:19Speaker 3: My pronouns are like the weather.
- 1:21Speaker 2: The book says, they change depending on how I feel.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Sometimes I just use one set of pronouns, it shows
- 1:29Speaker 2: with one child. Then the next thing it says, sometimes
- 1:32Speaker 2: I change my pronouns, and it shows that person changing
- 1:35Speaker 2: clothing to something else. Then it says, sometimes I use
- 1:39Speaker 2: all of the pronouns I can think of. And then
- 1:42Speaker 2: the next page it says, my pronouns are like the weather.
- 1:46Speaker 2: They change depending on how I feel, and that's okay
- 1:49Speaker 2: because they're my words. That is one example of the
- 1:53Speaker 2: books that are being given to your children and grandkids
- 1:57Speaker 2: to indoctrinate them in our public schools. Now, the question
- 2:02Speaker 2: is for parents, should you have the right, based on
- 2:06Speaker 2: your faith to say, hey, this mandatory reading in the
- 2:10Speaker 2: public school is something that I should have the right
- 2:14Speaker 2: to pull my kids out of. Obviously, I believe, of course,
- 2:17Speaker 2: because this is not education, this is LGBTQI in doctrination.
- 2:23Speaker 2: And as the Supreme Court is diving into Mohammad versus
- 2:27Speaker 2: Taylor debating this, if religious parents can skip the story
- 2:30Speaker 2: books for kids. It's a clash of a lot of
- 2:33Speaker 2: different issues one faith, two parental rights, and three they
- 2:37Speaker 2: say on the left school inclusivity policies.
- 2:40Speaker 3: And the decision is expected to come down.
- 2:43Speaker 2: This summer before school would go back into session in
- 2:46Speaker 2: the fall. Now, there were some very interesting moments at
- 2:49Speaker 2: the Supreme Court. And this is why I hope you
- 2:51Speaker 2: listen to the show, because I bring you things like
- 2:54Speaker 2: this that no one else is covering. I want to
- 2:57Speaker 2: I want you to listen, and please share this on
- 2:59Speaker 2: social media. All right, share this podcast, this show wherever
- 3:03Speaker 2: you are in social media. And I want you to
- 3:05Speaker 2: listen this exchange between Justice Gorsaic and a lawyer that
- 3:09Speaker 2: is representing a transsexuality pushing Maryland school district.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Okay, so you've got the Maryland School District.
- 3:18Speaker 2: They're pushing transsexuality down the throats, mandating the.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Curriculum to these kids.
- 3:23Speaker 2: And the discussion that you're about to hear is about
- 3:26Speaker 2: forcing sexual material on elementary school kids, even three year
- 3:31Speaker 2: old kids. Now, this is a back and forth the
- 3:35Speaker 2: audio from the Supreme Court.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Listen carefully, souscorsage.
- 3:39Speaker 4: I just want to make sure I understand a few
- 3:42Speaker 4: fact things. And then a law question, what aage do
- 3:46Speaker 4: you in Montgomery County? Teach students normally about human sexuality.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I think that it begins in either fourth or fifth grade,
- 3:56Speaker 1: the human sexuality class, Family Life and Human Sexuality the curriculum.
- 4:01Speaker 1: I'm not entirely sure.
- 4:02Speaker 4: It starts in fourth or fifth grade. I think, is
- 4:04Speaker 4: there anything you can point us to in the record
- 4:06Speaker 4: on that?
- 4:07Speaker 1: I don't think so?
- 4:09Speaker 4: Okay. And second, these books are being used in English class.
- 4:14Speaker 1: The division between English class and other things and a
- 4:17Speaker 1: second grade classroom doesn't really exist. You're sort of in
- 4:20Speaker 1: a room with a teacher.
- 4:21Speaker 4: And sometimes I appreciate that I went to second grade too,
- 4:25Speaker 4: but it's it's part of the English curriculum that these
- 4:29Speaker 4: books are being used in. That's I thought that was.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not I'm not fighting the premise. I'm just
- 4:33Speaker 1: saying it's.
- 4:33Speaker 4: Not a math class. It's it's not the human sexuality class.
- 4:37Speaker 1: It's it is certainly not the human sexuality class. I'm
- 4:40Speaker 1: just sort of fighting the premise that there's a neat discimery.
- 4:43Speaker 4: And they're being used in English language instruction at age three,
- 4:49Speaker 4: some of them.
- 4:50Speaker 1: So Pride Puppy was the book that was used for
- 4:52Speaker 1: the pre kindergarten curriculum. That's no longer in the curriculum.
- 4:55Speaker 4: That's the one where they are supposed to look for
- 4:57Speaker 4: the leather and things and bondage things like that.
- 5:00Speaker 1: It's not bomb sex a woman and sex worker, right, No,
- 5:04Speaker 1: it's not correct. No thought, gosh, I read it queen.
- 5:11Speaker 1: The leather that they're pointing to is a woman in
- 5:13Speaker 1: a leather jacket and one of the words is drag.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Queen, and they're supposed to look for those.
- 5:18Speaker 1: It is an option at the end of the book.
- 5:19Speaker 4: Correct, Okay, And you're you've included these in the English
- 5:25Speaker 4: language curriculum rather than the human sexuality curriculum to influence students.
- 5:32Speaker 4: Is that fair? That's what the district court found.
- 5:36Speaker 1: I think to the extent the district court found that
- 5:38Speaker 1: it was to influence. It was to influence them towards
- 5:41Speaker 1: civility then natural consequence of being exposed whatever, but to
- 5:44Speaker 1: influence them in the manner that I just mentioned.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Yes, and responding to parents who are concerned. You agree
- 5:54Speaker 4: that there was some intemperate language used.
- 5:58Speaker 1: I don't know that those were respond to parents who
- 6:00Speaker 1: were concerned. This was after the fact for most of
- 6:03Speaker 1: these comments, and this was in a very public setting,
- 6:06Speaker 1: which obviously got heated. And some intemperate comments were used, certainly.
- 6:10Speaker 4: And I wanted to understand your context that you are
- 6:15Speaker 4: giving about the statement that some Muslim families it's unfortunate
- 6:19Speaker 4: that this issue puts some Muslim families on the same
- 6:23Speaker 4: side of an issue as white supremacists and outright bigots,
- 6:27Speaker 4: I think in response to justice. So, Tomayer, you're trying
- 6:29Speaker 4: to give some context to that.
- 6:30Speaker 1: I don't think I was speaking directly about that comment.
- 6:33Speaker 1: I think that comment was given or was made in June,
- 6:36Speaker 1: which was several months after the decision to withdraw the
- 6:38Speaker 1: opt outs was made. I don't have context for that
- 6:41Speaker 1: savement now, okay.
- 6:42Speaker 4: And then the legal question, why isn't discrimination against religion
- 6:47Speaker 4: a burden on religion? If a state, now this is hypothetical,
- 6:53Speaker 4: not moving away from there, if state actors intentionally discriminate
- 6:57Speaker 4: against religion, what secular purpose, valid secular purpose could that serve?
- 7:03Speaker 4: And how how wouldn't that be a burden?
- 7:05Speaker 1: So I don't know. I mean, it depends on the
- 7:08Speaker 1: hypothetical what the state is doing and whether there's a
- 7:10Speaker 1: secular purpose that's hard to imagine one. But if this
- 7:13Speaker 1: state is discriminating.
- 7:15Speaker 4: Against Muslims or Catholics or Protestants or whatever.
- 7:18Speaker 1: I think this court has recognized that when an enactment
- 7:21Speaker 1: that discriminates on its face, or has recognized with respect
- 7:25Speaker 1: to an enactment that discriminates on its face, it is
- 7:27Speaker 1: intrinsically coercive. That's how the Court has performed the burden inquiry.
- 7:30Speaker 1: If you are privileging one religion over another, you are
- 7:33Speaker 1: coercing people to subscribe to that particular set of beliefs
- 7:37Speaker 1: in order.
- 7:37Speaker 4: That's a burden.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely, thank you.
- 7:41Speaker 2: This is just absolute psychotic insanity from this public school district.
- 7:47Speaker 2: That attorney there for the Montgomery Public School system, his
- 7:51Speaker 2: name is Alan. He's a guy that's saying no, like you, really,
- 7:55Speaker 2: as a parent, you don't have any say show over
- 7:58Speaker 2: your kids.
- 8:00Speaker 3: You don't get decide if.
- 8:02Speaker 2: What we're teaching your three year old kid about a
- 8:06Speaker 2: chick being a dude or do being a chick, or
- 8:08Speaker 2: bondage or books that say find the leather for the
- 8:12Speaker 2: for the bondage and sexuality, and this indoctrination of perverting
- 8:17Speaker 2: your kid's minds at an insanely young age of three
- 8:20Speaker 2: and up. You don't have a say so in saying oh,
- 8:23Speaker 2: just because of my faith, you can pull your kid
- 8:25Speaker 2: out of this mandatory curriculum. Now, the other way to
- 8:30Speaker 2: look at this is you can literally fail the child.
- 8:34Speaker 2: The child could be could fail over and over and
- 8:38Speaker 2: over again if the parent does not give in to
- 8:42Speaker 2: this type of indoctrination. And what the Supreme Court is
- 8:46Speaker 2: saying there, and this judge is also saying, is that
- 8:52Speaker 2: we believe that a parent has really.
- 8:54Speaker 3: No rights over their kid. They are properly of the state.
- 8:57Speaker 2: And what Gorch I think was getting to there, and
- 8:59Speaker 2: the point he was made making so clearly is you
- 9:02Speaker 2: guys actually really do believe this, Like this is what
- 9:06Speaker 2: you think that the parent doesn't matter, that the parent's
- 9:10Speaker 2: faith literally has no bearing on protecting a child from
- 9:13Speaker 2: anything you want to indoctrinate that child on. I also
- 9:18Speaker 2: want to play for you another example of how radical
- 9:21Speaker 2: the left is in this case. And again no one's
- 9:24Speaker 2: talking about this outside in the mainstream media because they
- 9:27Speaker 2: don't want you to know that this is even a thing,
- 9:29Speaker 2: so that you can.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Have a voice in it, all right.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Brett Kavanaugh also had another back and forth and Brett
- 9:36Speaker 2: Kavanaugh spot on in what I'm about to play for
- 9:38Speaker 2: you during his question at the Supreme Court, And I
- 9:40Speaker 2: do want to just put this into perspective here so
- 9:43Speaker 2: you understand just how far the radical left has gone.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Fifteen twenty years ago, the LGBT community, the activist basically,
- 9:51Speaker 2: their line was just like, leave us alone, let us
- 9:53Speaker 2: live our lives, our private lives. That was the argument.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Just leave us alone, leave us alone, leave us alone.
- 10:00Speaker 2: What is it today today is well, if look, if
- 10:03Speaker 2: you don't bake me a cake, then I'm going to
- 10:06Speaker 2: sue you and shut down your restaurant right because there's
- 10:08Speaker 2: no such thing as you having the rights to say
- 10:10Speaker 2: no for religious reasons. If you don't allow us and
- 10:16Speaker 2: we will force your children to sit through our curriculum
- 10:20Speaker 2: regardless of your religious beliefs, then we're just going to
- 10:23Speaker 2: fight and try to take those kids away from you
- 10:25Speaker 2: and turn the government against you. Like, think about how
- 10:28Speaker 2: far we've gone twenty years ago. Leave us along and
- 10:30Speaker 2: let us live our private lives. Today, you will bake
- 10:33Speaker 2: me that cake. You will force and you will force
- 10:36Speaker 2: your children to sit through our curriculum or they'll be
- 10:39Speaker 2: kicked out of school, regardless of your religious beliefs.
- 10:43Speaker 3: That is how far the pendulum has gone.
- 10:45Speaker 2: So listen to Kavanaugh and what he said to the
- 10:48Speaker 2: attorneys there on this case.
- 10:50Speaker 3: Take a listen.
- 10:51Speaker 5: But in the country has opt outs for all sorts
- 10:54Speaker 5: of things. The county has opt outs for all sorts
- 10:56Speaker 5: of things. The other Maryland counties had opt outs for
- 10:59Speaker 5: all sorts of things, and yet for this one thing
- 11:03Speaker 5: they change in mid midyear and say no more opt outs.
- 11:07Speaker 5: I'm just not understanding feasibility.
- 11:10Speaker 1: So again, I think what's in the record is that
- 11:12Speaker 1: with respect to these books, as they were deployed in
- 11:14Speaker 1: the classroom, there was high absenteeism in some schools, for example,
- 11:18Speaker 1: dozens of students being opted out in I think mister
- 11:21Speaker 1: Baxter said the average size of an elementary to Montgomery
- 11:24Speaker 1: County is seven hundred students, so each grade is one
- 11:27Speaker 1: hundred and twenty five. If you have dozens of students
- 11:29Speaker 1: walking out, making arrangements for those students to have adequate
- 11:32Speaker 1: space and supervision and alternative instruction, I think is infeasible.
- 11:37Speaker 4: And that's do it for all sorts of other opt outs.
- 11:40Speaker 1: They don't do it for all sorts of other opt outs.
- 11:42Speaker 1: There's a limited universe of things that students can opt
- 11:44Speaker 1: out from, the family life and healthy sexuality curriculum stands alone.
- 11:48Speaker 1: It is mandated by the state. It is something where
- 11:50Speaker 1: you are able to predict precisely when the curriculum is
- 11:54Speaker 1: going to be deployed.
- 11:54Speaker 5: There's a four the most similar substantively to what we
- 11:58Speaker 5: have here, and there's an opt out allowed there. I
- 12:00Speaker 5: guess I'm not understanding why Montgomery County school Board stands alone.
- 12:04Speaker 5: I think in the country, you can tell me if
- 12:06Speaker 5: there's another school board that's done something like this.
- 12:10Speaker 1: I thought, both.
- 12:14Speaker 5: The kind of books that are being used and prohibiting
- 12:17Speaker 5: opt outs, and I guess I'm just not understanding the
- 12:21Speaker 5: whole goal. I think of some of our religion precedents
- 12:26Speaker 5: is to look for the win win, to look for
- 12:29Speaker 5: the situation where you can respect the religious beliefs and
- 12:33Speaker 5: accommodate the religious beliefs while the state or city or
- 12:37Speaker 5: whatever it may be can pursue its goals. And here,
- 12:41Speaker 5: they're not asking you to change what's taught in the classroom.
- 12:44Speaker 5: They're not asking you to change that at all. A
- 12:46Speaker 5: lot of the rhetoric suggests that they might have that's
- 12:50Speaker 5: a written that they were trying to do that, but
- 12:53Speaker 5: that's not what they're trying to do. They're only seeking
- 12:55Speaker 5: to be able to walk out so that they don't
- 12:58Speaker 5: have to The parents don't have their children exposed to
- 13:01Speaker 5: these things that are contrary to their own beliefs.
- 13:04Speaker 1: I understand your honor, and there may well be circumstances
- 13:07Speaker 1: where a school can.
- 13:09Speaker 3: Or I mean, it's just incredibly bizarre.
- 13:11Speaker 2: And this is why I play this audio for you
- 13:14Speaker 2: so that you understand you need to be checking what
- 13:17Speaker 2: your kids are being indoctrinate at at three, like they're
- 13:21Speaker 2: doing this before your kid can even know like this
- 13:24Speaker 2: is wrong. They're doing this before your kid even understands
- 13:28Speaker 2: what's happening.
- 13:30Speaker 3: And that's not by accident. That's on purpose.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Because if they can get control of your kid's mind
- 13:37Speaker 2: to believe that you know Heshi them, they pronouns are normal,
- 13:41Speaker 2: and that you can change your pronouns every day, just
- 13:44Speaker 2: like that book I was reading for you earlier, then
- 13:47Speaker 2: they're like, all right, we're good to go here now
- 13:49Speaker 2: that these moments are not just bizarre, but but they're insane.
- 13:55Speaker 3: I'll give you another example.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Justice Jackson yesterday had this back and forth when it
- 14:03Speaker 2: dees with the case.
- 14:04Speaker 3: I'm going to play it for you and then I'll
- 14:05Speaker 3: commentate on the other side.
- 14:06Speaker 6: Listen, and I guess I'm struggling to see how it
- 14:09Speaker 6: burdens a parent's religious exercise. If the school teaches something
- 14:15Speaker 6: that the parent disagrees with, you have a choice.
- 14:17Speaker 4: You don't have to send your kid to that school.
- 14:19Speaker 6: You can put them in another situation.
- 14:23Speaker 2: You can put them in another situation. Let me let's
- 14:25Speaker 2: let's dissect and go through that quote. If the school
- 14:29Speaker 2: teaches something that the parent disagrees with, you have a choice. Now,
- 14:33Speaker 2: I wish she was actually saying that she's in favor
- 14:35Speaker 2: of school choice, right, but that's not what she's saying here.
- 14:38Speaker 2: She's saying, then pound sand, then take your kid out
- 14:41Speaker 2: of school. Good luck figure it out, because you're the
- 14:44Speaker 2: crazy one because you don't want your three year old
- 14:48Speaker 2: indoctrinated with this trans ideology. So again, back to her
- 14:52Speaker 2: exact words, you don't have to send your kid to
- 14:54Speaker 2: that school. You can put them in another situation, all right,
- 14:57Speaker 2: So choice right.
- 14:59Speaker 3: For justice Keanji Brown Jackson.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Is is have your three year old sit through trans
- 15:07Speaker 2: story hour without question, or pay for expensive private.
- 15:11Speaker 3: School or shift to homeschooling.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Not an actual choice, by the way, quote unquote for
- 15:17Speaker 2: a lot of working families or single mothers, and your
- 15:21Speaker 2: tax dollars is what is funding this radical school, whether
- 15:26Speaker 2: your kid goes there or not, so they keep your money.
- 15:29Speaker 2: This is why I'm in favorite school choice. This is
- 15:31Speaker 2: why I'm in favorite vouchers. This is why we as
- 15:35Speaker 2: a community need to understand. Okay, like we need to
- 15:41Speaker 2: understand that this is something now that is going to
- 15:45Speaker 2: happen forever if we don't stop it, because they're already
- 15:50Speaker 2: doing it. I'll give you another example. I'm going to
- 15:52Speaker 2: play another part of the argument in the Supreme Court. Okay,
- 15:55Speaker 2: this is Eric Baxter, the attorney for Muhammad, explaining how
- 15:59Speaker 2: Muchtgomery Public Schools undermined parental rights and religious freedom. And
- 16:05Speaker 2: he said this was clearly targeted the school district at
- 16:09Speaker 2: religious parents. Okay, so this is he's saying, there's no
- 16:14Speaker 2: disguising this. They wanted to come after Christians, they wanted
- 16:19Speaker 2: to come after religious people and say to them, Pound Sand,
- 16:23Speaker 2: we own your kid.
- 16:24Speaker 3: They are property of the state, not you a nation.
- 16:28Speaker 5: And then I guess I am a bit mystified as
- 16:33Speaker 5: a lifelong resident of the county how it came to this.
- 16:37Speaker 5: Can you just tell us what happened when in March
- 16:40Speaker 5: of twenty three, you know what.
- 16:43Speaker 4: Happened in terms.
- 16:44Speaker 5: Of the objections and how the school board responded to
- 16:49Speaker 5: give us a little bit.
- 16:50Speaker 4: I share your concern.
- 16:51Speaker 7: My kids you graduated to my kids graduated from MOCO,
- 16:54Speaker 7: and we're opted out when they when they asked on
- 16:56Speaker 7: their own accord to opt out of some instruction on
- 16:58Speaker 7: sex education. And what happened is we're not even entirely
- 17:02Speaker 7: sure because for the entire first year, the board promised
- 17:05Speaker 7: in multiple places on Fox News and other media, the
- 17:09Speaker 7: parents would be be notified and then they would be
- 17:12Speaker 7: opted out.
- 17:12Speaker 3: The last notice.
- 17:14Speaker 7: Happened on March twenty second, twenty twenty three. The very
- 17:17Speaker 7: next day, overnight, with no explanation, the board came out
- 17:20Speaker 7: and said, we're changing the rule because we want every
- 17:23Speaker 7: all students to be instructed on inclusivity. That's at five
- 17:27Speaker 7: point forty seven in the appendix, that emphasis on all
- 17:29Speaker 7: students have to receive this obstruction, nothing about administrability.
- 17:33Speaker 3: And then from there on, even then they said.
- 17:35Speaker 7: If we've already told you you can opt out, we'll
- 17:38Speaker 7: let you do that, but more parents can't ask, And
- 17:41Speaker 7: then it wasn't until later in the year when they
- 17:43Speaker 7: actually revised their guidelines which still allow certain religious opt
- 17:47Speaker 7: outs and just not others. This was clearly targeted at
- 17:49Speaker 7: religious parents, objective.
- 17:51Speaker 5: And complaints were raised.
- 17:53Speaker 4: Right, That's right. Hundreds of parents complained.
- 17:56Speaker 7: These were mostly, according to the news articles, mostly families
- 18:00Speaker 7: from Muslim faith and Ethiopian Orthodox who are objecting. When
- 18:05Speaker 7: they spoke to the board, the board accused them of
- 18:08Speaker 7: using their religious beliefs as another reason to hate, accused
- 18:12Speaker 7: a young Muslim girl of parroting her parents' dogma, and
- 18:17Speaker 7: then accuse the parents of aligning with racist xenophobes and
- 18:22Speaker 7: white supremacists. And so again, there's no question in this
- 18:26Speaker 7: case that there is a burden, that it was imposed
- 18:30Speaker 7: with animosity, and that it's discriminating against our clients because
- 18:34Speaker 7: of their religious beliefs.
- 18:36Speaker 2: I'm going to say it again, if you're not involved
- 18:38Speaker 2: in your kids in their schools and what's happening, this
- 18:41Speaker 2: is probably the craft that's happening, and you have no
- 18:44Speaker 2: idea what's going on, and you can tell the Supreme
- 18:47Speaker 2: Court at least some of these justices are saying, I'm
- 18:49Speaker 2: sounding the alarm.
- 18:51Speaker 3: Parents.
- 18:51Speaker 2: You need to get in your libraries, and you need
- 18:54Speaker 2: to see what your kids are being forced to listen
- 18:56Speaker 2: to and what they're been doctoring your kids with during
- 18:59Speaker 2: their reading hour as early as the age of three.
- 19:03Speaker 3: Because I mentioned earlier.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Tricia McLaughlin, the Assistant Secretary at the Department of Homeland Security,
- 19:09Speaker 2: join us at the White House to talk about what's
- 19:11Speaker 2: going on with border security issues.
- 19:13Speaker 3: And here is what she had to say.
- 19:15Speaker 2: One of the big issues that so many Americans care
- 19:17Speaker 2: about right now is the issue of what's happening at
- 19:21Speaker 2: the southern border. We have done a lot to secure
- 19:23Speaker 2: the border in a President Trump and in the first
- 19:25Speaker 2: hundred days, but then there's the issue of all the
- 19:28Speaker 2: illegal immigrants that are in this country and how we're
- 19:31Speaker 2: going to deport them, especially those that are in MS
- 19:33Speaker 2: thirteen gang members and Trey de la Laga gangs. This
- 19:37Speaker 2: is still a major issue for safety for so many Americans.
- 19:40Speaker 2: So join me now to talk about this is Trician mclofflin.
- 19:43Speaker 2: She is the Assistant Secretary Department of Homeland Security. Tricia,
- 19:46Speaker 2: it's a pleasure to have you here and to talk
- 19:49Speaker 2: about this. Let's go to the headlines and start there.
- 19:52Speaker 2: You've got this story of a MS thirteen gang member,
- 19:56Speaker 2: who even his own wife was making sure that his
- 19:58Speaker 2: knuckles were that had the tattoo of the MS thirteen
- 20:01Speaker 2: gang symbol, was not on social media in some of
- 20:05Speaker 2: her postings. Then the media tried to say that he
- 20:08Speaker 2: was not a gang member, that this was terrible, that
- 20:10Speaker 2: we kicked him out of this country, and that we
- 20:12Speaker 2: send him out Salvador, and they're domating him back.
- 20:14Speaker 3: And now Democrats have.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Gone all in on this, like there's delegations using taxpayer
- 20:18Speaker 2: dollars to go and meet with this person, not meet
- 20:21Speaker 2: with family members and victims in this country, those that
- 20:24Speaker 2: have been terrorized, those have been killed, those have been
- 20:26Speaker 2: raped and murdered by this gang that is a terrorist organization.
- 20:30Speaker 2: And now we're also seeing lawfare in the courts trying
- 20:32Speaker 2: to say no, no, no, President Trump, you can't keep American
- 20:34Speaker 2: safe as.
- 20:35Speaker 8: Well, exactly Ben, And there really is a concerted effort
- 20:38Speaker 8: by the media and Democrats to whitewash the story, whitewash
- 20:41Speaker 8: who this guy is, that he's some innocent marilynd father,
- 20:45Speaker 8: when he's anything but. First and foremost, he is in
- 20:48Speaker 8: the country illegally. He had final deportation orders. But let's
- 20:51Speaker 8: go through the timeline a little bit to describe who
- 20:54Speaker 8: this guy Abrego Garcia actually is. When he was initially
- 20:57Speaker 8: arrested in twenty nineteen, he was found among other MS
- 21:00Speaker 8: thirteen gang members, decked out in MS thirteen gear having
- 21:04Speaker 8: different MS thirteen symbols on it. He was found with
- 21:07Speaker 8: drugs and rolls of money as well. Two separate immigration
- 21:12Speaker 8: judges found that he was an MS thirteen gang member
- 21:16Speaker 8: as well as the Prince George's County gang unit. Keep
- 21:18Speaker 8: in mind, Prince George County, Maryland isn't exactly some red haven,
- 21:22Speaker 8: it is very blue. They found that he is in
- 21:26Speaker 8: MS thirteen as well. Flash forward to twenty twenty one.
- 21:29Speaker 8: His wife, his own wife, who like you said, was
- 21:32Speaker 8: covering up his knuckles, was filed a domestic restraining order
- 21:36Speaker 8: against him for slapping her, for ripping off her shirt,
- 21:39Speaker 8: for pinching and scratching her sheet, and her own written
- 21:42Speaker 8: testimony said how she feared for her children and tried
- 21:45Speaker 8: to take them away from him, and then man if
- 21:48Speaker 8: I may one more time is In twenty twenty two,
- 21:51Speaker 8: he was pulled over by the Tennessee State Highway Patrol,
- 21:55Speaker 8: during which he was allegedly taking eight individuals from Texas
- 22:00Speaker 8: to Maryland on a three day journey. On a three
- 22:03Speaker 8: day journey with eight people, and there was not a
- 22:05Speaker 8: single piece of luggage in that vehicle that reeks of
- 22:09Speaker 8: human trafficking.
- 22:10Speaker 1: That is textbook.
- 22:11Speaker 8: And so we're left to believe that, oh, no, this
- 22:13Speaker 8: is an innocent guy.
- 22:15Speaker 2: And by the way, that let's be queer the Biden administration.
- 22:17Speaker 2: The FBI said no, no, no, just let him go.
- 22:18Speaker 3: Don't worry about that.
- 22:20Speaker 8: There's certainly more to the story and I'd love to
- 22:22Speaker 8: hear more from the FBI and what went down there.
- 22:24Speaker 2: So you look at this guy and he's over there,
- 22:27Speaker 2: and now the media has become like he's some sort
- 22:30Speaker 2: of folk.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Hero or hero for them.
- 22:33Speaker 2: The Democratic Party is spending taxpayer hours to go down
- 22:36Speaker 2: there and meet with him like he's a celebrity. You
- 22:38Speaker 2: have centers that are holding his hand like he's been
- 22:40Speaker 2: persecuted by the Unitstates of America and demands to bring
- 22:43Speaker 2: him back. What so we can deport him to another
- 22:45Speaker 2: country as soon as he gets here, because that's exactly
- 22:47Speaker 2: what could happen.
- 22:48Speaker 8: It's remarkable to me that this is the hill that
- 22:51Speaker 8: the Democrats and media are willing to die on that
- 22:53Speaker 8: they have one small shred of any credibility left and
- 22:57Speaker 8: this is what they're going to burn it on. Is
- 22:59Speaker 8: this MS thirteen gang member. Americans should remember who MS
- 23:02Speaker 8: thirteen is. It is a vicious gang that sex traffics,
- 23:06Speaker 8: that human traffics, that mames, rapes, and kills Americans for sport.
- 23:11Speaker 8: These are people who should not be in our country
- 23:13Speaker 8: and should be hunted down and locked up immediately.
- 23:16Speaker 2: You just look at some of the things that apparently
- 23:19Speaker 2: were found on his devices. And that's one of the
- 23:22Speaker 2: things that I found interesting on the reporting is you
- 23:24Speaker 2: look at what they share MS thirteen game members. They
- 23:27Speaker 2: share the pictures of beheadings, the butchering of humans, and
- 23:31Speaker 2: then yet they're trying to say, oh, this guy's a
- 23:33Speaker 2: victim who broke into America.
- 23:36Speaker 8: Anything but and that is I mean, if you look
- 23:38Speaker 8: at the crime on American streets and the crimes by
- 23:40Speaker 8: these illegal immigrant gangs, so much of the time they're
- 23:43Speaker 8: done by MS thirteen, they're done by Trendy Aragua, they're
- 23:47Speaker 8: done by these other vicious gangs. They shouldn't have been
- 23:49Speaker 8: here in the first place because they're in the country illegally.
- 23:52Speaker 8: Much less the fact that with impunity, they've been allowed
- 23:56Speaker 8: to rain terwer on American streets for the last four years.
- 24:00Speaker 2: Let's talk about the court system now, and we've seen
- 24:02Speaker 2: these activist judges who are stepping in and using law
- 24:05Speaker 2: fair to say, Hey, the President can't do this anymore.
- 24:08Speaker 2: You can't just ship people off to the other countries.
- 24:11Speaker 2: We're going to stop you every step of the way.
- 24:13Speaker 2: What is the administration's response to that. How long is
- 24:17Speaker 2: it going to take for this.
- 24:17Speaker 3: To play out.
- 24:18Speaker 8: I think ultimately President Trump, Secretary Nomen, this entire administration
- 24:22Speaker 8: are going to be victorious on this issue. On November fifth,
- 24:26Speaker 8: twenty twenty four, there is a clear mandate from the
- 24:30Speaker 8: American people that we need to get criminal, illegal aliens
- 24:33Speaker 8: out of this country. There was likely ten to twenty
- 24:36Speaker 8: million illegal aliens who came into this country under Joe Biden.
- 24:39Speaker 8: The American people are done with it. Look, whether Garcia
- 24:43Speaker 8: is in an American detention facility or an La Salvador,
- 24:46Speaker 8: what matters really is that he's locked up. But I
- 24:48Speaker 8: do think ultimately this will be sorted out. We will
- 24:52Speaker 8: ensure that these individuals have due process. That was what
- 24:55Speaker 8: the Supreme Court was most concerned about was the amount
- 24:57Speaker 8: of time these individuals were given notice. But we're going
- 25:00Speaker 8: to be very clear that despite the fact that these
- 25:03Speaker 8: are terrorists and these are criminal gang members, this is
- 25:07Speaker 8: still the United States of American. We guarantee due process
- 25:10Speaker 8: under the US Constitution.
- 25:12Speaker 2: So when you look forward after, we're at the one
- 25:14Speaker 2: hundred day mark in essence, and this is pretty awesome
- 25:17Speaker 2: because there's a lot that's been done. The border is
- 25:19Speaker 2: now more secure than it's been in decades, the number
- 25:22Speaker 2: of people are coming across. I think the message the
- 25:24Speaker 2: present sent loud and clear was you come here now,
- 25:26Speaker 2: it's game on. We're saying that the number of crossings
- 25:29Speaker 2: have dropped significantly, but there's the big question of Okay,
- 25:34Speaker 2: there's a lot of people that got in under the
- 25:35Speaker 2: Biden years.
- 25:36Speaker 3: There's literally millions. How are we going to unwind all
- 25:40Speaker 3: of that in an orderly fashion?
- 25:42Speaker 8: Yeah, I think that we're working to do just that.
- 25:44Speaker 8: Secretary Nome was handed a tough task and she's taking
- 25:47Speaker 8: it on miraculously. Look at the border, as you just mentioned,
- 25:51Speaker 8: we virtually have operational control of the border. Crossings are
- 25:54Speaker 8: down ninety five percent. That is, i all counts the
- 25:57Speaker 8: most secure border and American history. That's in less than
- 26:01Speaker 8: ninety days. It's pretty remarkable. But we also have to
- 26:04Speaker 8: look at our legal immigration system as well. The Biden
- 26:08Speaker 8: administration majorc has use parole programs, temporary protected status, and
- 26:12Speaker 8: these other programs to allow illegal immigrants to come into
- 26:17Speaker 8: this country unvetted. We don't know really who's in this country,
- 26:21Speaker 8: so we have to really take a pause and go
- 26:23Speaker 8: through who did we let in for the last four years.
- 26:26Speaker 8: So I think it's going to take also a unleashed ICE.
- 26:30Speaker 8: Secretary name has been remarkable in that, but the fact is,
- 26:33Speaker 8: for the last four years, Biden did not allow these
- 26:36Speaker 8: ICE agents to actually do their jobs. They were disincentivized
- 26:39Speaker 8: for making any of these arrests, whether it be just
- 26:42Speaker 8: illegal aliens to criminal vicious aliens like these MS thirteen members,
- 26:47Speaker 8: as we've mentioned before. So we have a tall task
- 26:50Speaker 8: and we've got to get these arrests numbers up. But
- 26:52Speaker 8: that's part of the reason why Secretary Nome is on
- 26:54Speaker 8: the ground on a weekly basis with our enforcement officers
- 26:58Speaker 8: from Border and Protection Patrol and from ICE to make
- 27:03Speaker 8: sure that we're getting them the resources they need to
- 27:05Speaker 8: be successful to get these arrests numbers up and to
- 27:08Speaker 8: make sure.
- 27:08Speaker 3: They're safe on the job.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Let's talk about detention detainers that the ICE needs in
- 27:13Speaker 2: the court systems. They need these courts still alert them
- 27:15Speaker 2: when they have somebody in custody that is clearly needs
- 27:17Speaker 2: to be deported. We still are seeing activists that are
- 27:20Speaker 2: not allowing for that to happen. How big of an
- 27:23Speaker 2: issue is that going to be moving forward and is
- 27:24Speaker 2: there more than the White House can do to stop
- 27:26Speaker 2: that from being a thing.
- 27:27Speaker 8: Yeah, I think the Department of Justice under Attorney General
- 27:30Speaker 8: Pam Bondi is definitely looking at options with these sanctuary cities,
- 27:34Speaker 8: like you mentioned, if ICE isn't able to lodge these
- 27:37Speaker 8: detainers against these criminal aliens, that they could be released
- 27:40Speaker 8: into American communities and go out and commit the same act. Actually,
- 27:43Speaker 8: a couple of weeks ago, Secretary Nome was in New
- 27:46Speaker 8: York City and a lot of listeners will probably remember
- 27:50Speaker 8: this really heinous crime at Coney Island, the subway station
- 27:54Speaker 8: there where this illegal immigrant lit this woman on fire
- 27:57Speaker 8: and killed her. It was incredibly depraved. ICE tried to
- 28:01Speaker 8: lodge a detainer, and we are not sure if that's
- 28:03Speaker 8: going to be honored. So we don't know if, if,
- 28:05Speaker 8: and when this guy will get out, but if he's not,
- 28:07Speaker 8: he could be released back into New York even though
- 28:09Speaker 8: he's in this country illegally. That's the kind of cases
- 28:12Speaker 8: we have to end and that's what I mean case
- 28:15Speaker 8: in point why sanctuary cities are so so dangerous.
- 28:19Speaker 2: Final question for you on moving forward in the next
- 28:22Speaker 2: one hundred days, what do you expect the headlines to
- 28:24Speaker 2: be from this administration on this issue. Obviously, the border
- 28:28Speaker 2: is secure, we can check that box. We're doing more,
- 28:31Speaker 2: but where is this going to go and what can
- 28:33Speaker 2: the American people expect.
- 28:34Speaker 8: I think you're going to see ramped up deportation numbers.
- 28:36Speaker 8: I think you're going to see more agreements with third
- 28:39Speaker 8: party countries. Whether you see that with Al Salvador that
- 28:42Speaker 8: they're taking some of our most vicious, worse, the worst
- 28:45Speaker 8: criminal aliens. I think you're going to see more of
- 28:47Speaker 8: that from other countries to make sure that these guys
- 28:49Speaker 8: are off of Americans, loyal and take and take part
- 28:52Speaker 8: in getting their.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Their folks folks back.
- 28:55Speaker 8: I also think we're going to see more, you know,
- 28:57Speaker 8: we're going to see more action with these the courts
- 28:59Speaker 8: and some of these activists judges, but we're not gonna
- 29:01Speaker 8: let it stop us. We have deportation flights going almost
- 29:03Speaker 8: every single day, and Alien and Newmies Act is only
- 29:07Speaker 8: one tool in our arsenal. We have a lot of
- 29:09Speaker 8: authorities to get these people out of the country.
- 29:11Speaker 3: It's incredible.
- 29:12Speaker 2: You guys are doing great work, and your boss is
- 29:14Speaker 2: doing great work as well. It's nice to have leadership
- 29:17Speaker 2: at the Department of Home in Security that actually knows
- 29:19Speaker 2: who the bad guys are and they're willing to go
- 29:21Speaker 2: after them. Chrisia mcoffin, she is the Assistant Secretary Department
- 29:24Speaker 2: of Homelandsecurity.
- 29:25Speaker 3: Always a pleasure. Thank you for coming on this monor
- 29:27Speaker 3: thank you.
- 29:28Speaker 2: Don't forget we do this show every day, so make

- 29:33Speaker 2: you don't miss any of the interviews we do, especially

- 29:38Speaker 2: here tomorrow morning.
