- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a suit on, back down, giving
- 0:13Speaker 1: them like Amian buck things and it's not me true
- 0:20Speaker 1: good Steve Hartley, I don't join me. You gotta use
- 0:59Speaker 1: that turn you. You gotta turn to turn them out.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Got to turn out the water, the water. Come come
- 1:58Speaker 1: on your baby, Uh huh, I show will good morning everybody,
- 2:05Speaker 1: y'all listening to the voice, Come on dig me now.
- 2:07Speaker 1: One and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man
- 2:12Speaker 1: got a radio show because God is in the blessing business.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I just happened to be a recipient. I just happened
- 2:20Speaker 1: to got a couple of things right, and man, his
- 2:26Speaker 1: grace and mercy carries you the rest of the way.
- 2:29Speaker 1: All you got to do is get a couple of
- 2:32Speaker 1: things right, and then his grace and his mercy will
- 2:35Speaker 1: take over his favor, his love of you. It's it's
- 2:40Speaker 1: already evident. I mean, you know, because so many times
- 2:42Speaker 1: we go along without even acknowledging him or conferring with
- 2:46Speaker 1: him in our decisions, and we look up when we
- 2:49Speaker 1: find ourselves in a predicament, and he always comes to
- 2:53Speaker 1: the rescue. He always manages to show up. He's never
- 2:59Speaker 1: too late, he's never one minute too late. And so
- 3:03Speaker 1: in light of this today I wanted to talk to
- 3:06Speaker 1: you about something. It's another principle of success that I'd
- 3:13Speaker 1: like to share with everybody this morning. And once again,
- 3:17Speaker 1: these are not things that you don't know or you've
- 3:19Speaker 1: never heard before. These are just reminders along the way.
- 3:25Speaker 1: And one of the things you have to be conscious
- 3:27Speaker 1: of is don't be afraid to change. Don't be afraid
- 3:31Speaker 1: to change because change is coming anyway. See, I have
- 3:36Speaker 1: a theory, don't be afraid to change because change is
- 3:40Speaker 1: coming anyway. You know, everything changes, nothing remains the same nothing,
- 3:46Speaker 1: and change is inevitable. Now, you could participate in the change,
- 3:52Speaker 1: or you can react to the change. Are you following me.
- 3:58Speaker 1: You can participate in the change or you can react
- 4:02Speaker 1: to the change. But don't be afraid to change because
- 4:07Speaker 1: change is coming anyway. Now, what I mean by that
- 4:10Speaker 1: is this, in participating in the change or reacting in
- 4:16Speaker 1: the change, there is a difference. See, if you react
- 4:20Speaker 1: to the change, that means the change has occurred and
- 4:24Speaker 1: now you have to make the necessary adjustments to the change. Example,
- 4:30Speaker 1: the boss walks in. You think your job is good.
- 4:33Speaker 1: The boss walks in and hands you a pink slip.
- 4:36Speaker 1: That right there, that's a change. Now you didn't participate
- 4:41Speaker 1: in this change because you didn't ask for the pink slip.
- 4:44Speaker 1: But now you got to react to the pink slip.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Whenever you have to react to the change, it's an
- 4:51Speaker 1: adjustment period. It almost throws you off. So change is
- 4:58Speaker 1: going to come. It always does. You could participate or
- 5:04Speaker 1: you can react. Or let's say your boss comes in
- 5:10Speaker 1: and hands you the pink slip and you said, you
- 5:13Speaker 1: know what I've been preparing for this day. Always knew nothing.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Last forever, I've been working on the sideline, on the
- 5:23Speaker 1: business idea I had and I had, or I had
- 5:26Speaker 1: several other applications in around town. I was just holding
- 5:30Speaker 1: off to see what was going going. So when they
- 5:32Speaker 1: hand you the pink slip, the transition, the adjustment you
- 5:36Speaker 1: make is a lot more smooth a transition because now
- 5:39Speaker 1: you just transition into your new business I did that
- 5:42Speaker 1: you've been working on, Or you transition into the apps
- 5:45Speaker 1: you already had in or the contacts you made the
- 5:48Speaker 1: preparation for. When the day they're coming in hand, you
- 5:51Speaker 1: the pink slip we stee what did they surprise you
- 5:54Speaker 1: with it? This is just one example I'm giving you.
- 5:56Speaker 1: So you know, let's not nick pick the message. So
- 6:01Speaker 1: what I'm saying to everybody is, don't be afraid to change,
- 6:05Speaker 1: because change is coming anyway. So many people are stuck
- 6:10Speaker 1: in a rut because of your our refusal to change.
- 6:15Speaker 1: I was hell bent on a certain thing going a
- 6:18Speaker 1: certain way, and this is how I was going to go. Well,
- 6:22Speaker 1: that that I was thinking didn't really fit. Now in
- 6:26Speaker 1: my own personal experience, this may not be yours, but
- 6:29Speaker 1: in my own personal experience, the things that I've had
- 6:32Speaker 1: the most trouble letting go of was something I wanted
- 6:38Speaker 1: when I line myself up with the will of God
- 6:41Speaker 1: to ask God what he wanted for me. You understand,
- 6:46Speaker 1: those things came a lot more easy to me because
- 6:51Speaker 1: it was in the will of God. It was what
- 6:53Speaker 1: God wanted me to do too. Okay, see what you
- 6:55Speaker 1: mean by that? Okay, here we go. When things were
- 6:58Speaker 1: going wrong in relationships for me, what I did was
- 7:05Speaker 1: the biggest mistake I've ever made, was I attempted to
- 7:09Speaker 1: fix what was wrong in my relationship outside of the
- 7:13Speaker 1: relationship filming. Okay, so I'm out there working my groove
- 7:19Speaker 1: like I want to. Well, now, guess what, there's a
- 7:22Speaker 1: cause and effect for all of that too. Your house
- 7:25Speaker 1: ain't gonna get better, it can't. And then that lady's
- 7:31Speaker 1: room for some other things. And so now that when
- 7:34Speaker 1: the change come, guess what, I gotta react to it. Now,
- 7:39Speaker 1: I gotta, I gotta, I gotta have a reaction to it.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Had I lined myself up in the will of God,
- 7:46Speaker 1: the transition may have grown differently. It could have still
- 7:51Speaker 1: ended the relationship. But guess what, some of the pain
- 7:55Speaker 1: I was in I ain't had to go through. I
- 7:58Speaker 1: bought a lot on myself. Sometimes you're pursuing a passion
- 8:03Speaker 1: of yours, and what God really wants you to do
- 8:07Speaker 1: is pursue your gift. So now you're pursuing your passion. Right,
- 8:11Speaker 1: you're passionate about golf. You love golf so much you
- 8:15Speaker 1: just determine. But now you're messed around. You ain't made
- 8:19Speaker 1: it on the PGA Tour yet, and you fortify still
- 8:22Speaker 1: talking about I'm gonna play on the PGA Tour. Really, Okay,
- 8:26Speaker 1: maybe you ain't as good as as you think, or
- 8:28Speaker 1: maybe you're not as gifted as you think. Maybe you're
- 8:31Speaker 1: pursuing a passion. Sometimes, man, we have to change and
- 8:35Speaker 1: we have to ask God what is his will? His
- 8:39Speaker 1: will is much simpler. It's a simpler rule. Not going
- 8:43Speaker 1: to be easier, it's simpler. See when I wake up. Now,
- 8:46Speaker 1: it's simple for me to wake up because I know
- 8:49Speaker 1: that are a few things that I have to do.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I have to click this mic on. I have to
- 8:55Speaker 1: be positive. I have to be inspirational. I have to
- 8:59Speaker 1: be in formative. I have to be uplifting. Got it,
- 9:03Speaker 1: That's what he want. All I got to do is
- 9:05Speaker 1: sit down, close my eyes, ask God to help me
- 9:09Speaker 1: be who he want me to be. And for the
- 9:11Speaker 1: most part, he tell me what to say. Now, guess
- 9:15Speaker 1: what he's done though, to create this in me. I
- 9:19Speaker 1: went through enough things in my life. I had enough challenges.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I made plenty of mistakes. So I now, at my age,
- 9:26Speaker 1: I can turn around and tell somebody listening to me, Okay,
- 9:29Speaker 1: this is what I did. This is a mistake I made.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Maybe you see yourself in this story right here. Maybe
- 9:33Speaker 1: you don't have to go this way, or this is
- 9:35Speaker 1: what I've learned about becoming successful. Here's a principle that
- 9:39Speaker 1: I learned, but then guess what I had to be
- 9:41Speaker 1: unsuccessful to get it, though did not. So you can't
- 9:44Speaker 1: have a testimony without a test Change is coming, It's inevitable.
- 9:49Speaker 1: You can participate or you can react. I much prefer
- 9:53Speaker 1: to participate in the change. All right, let's go. You're show.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:04Speaker 1: On this very blessed morning. I would like to start
- 10:07Speaker 1: with a song by Edwin Starr, but I will not
- 10:11Speaker 1: start with that song called Wall whom good, God? What
- 10:18Speaker 1: is it good? Fault? Absolute lutely nothing. I've changed my
- 10:24Speaker 1: mind hid it Wall? Oh? What is it good for?
- 10:31Speaker 1: Absolutely nothing? I did it against my better judgment. But
- 10:39Speaker 1: I do want to say war, what is it good for?
- 10:44Speaker 1: Absolute lutely nothing. That hasn't got to be away? To
- 10:51Speaker 1: resolve this without the loss of human life through that
- 10:59Speaker 1: has to be yea has to be. This is horrible, sorific.
- 11:05Speaker 1: What's going on, ladies and gentlemen. This is the world
- 11:08Speaker 1: we live in, which makes me more than happy that
- 11:13Speaker 1: I have relationship with my heavenly father that keeps me
- 11:17Speaker 1: in peace. I feel safe tucked under his wings. No
- 11:22Speaker 1: matter what this world may bring. I strongly suggest if
- 11:26Speaker 1: you want to have that same type of feeling, to
- 11:30Speaker 1: form yourself a relationship with the most High. He is available.
- 11:36Speaker 1: He is open to being called by several names and
- 11:40Speaker 1: worshiped in different ways, but he is available for you.
- 11:45Speaker 1: I strongly suggest you take a close look. Ladies and gentlemen,
- 11:49Speaker 1: Shirley Strawberry caller for real Mississippi, Monica Junior is back.

- 12:11Speaker 1: a minute. Just let me ask you this. Un at
- 12:14Speaker 1: sixty five, Yeah, at sixty five, do you would you
- 12:20Speaker 1: still fight with your friends? Do you, like, if they
- 12:22Speaker 1: got into a fight, would you just jump in? At
- 12:24Speaker 1: sixty five? Would you still do that clip like you're
- 12:27Speaker 1: talking about? If my friends is fighting, do you, as
- 12:31Speaker 1: celebrity as you is, would you jump in the fight
- 12:34Speaker 1: if my friends is fighting somebody that that I don't know. Yeah,
- 12:38Speaker 1: I have no choice. At sixty five, I have no choice.
- 12:44Speaker 1: We can't we can't get back home, and your ass
- 12:46Speaker 1: didn't get in here with us. No, I'm just saying
- 12:49Speaker 1: behind Steve all of that. No, No, just Steve, the
- 12:57Speaker 1: old me has to do what he was raised to do.
- 13:01Speaker 1: I have a code and an honor that I live by.
- 13:04Speaker 1: And if this my friend and you jump on my friend,
- 13:08Speaker 1: and I see it, you ain't just jumped on my friend.
- 13:11Speaker 1: You didn't jumped on both of us. And all my
- 13:14Speaker 1: friends got hands, all of them. They slow our hands.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Now they don't have no fast twitch muscles. It's gonna
- 13:22Speaker 1: be a fun ass fight on field, but it's gonna
- 13:27Speaker 1: be a damn fight on Look, got slow. They punching,
- 13:32Speaker 1: but their effort is dead though. Coming up with thirty
- 13:37Speaker 1: two minutes after the hour, the pastors and church complaints
- 13:41Speaker 1: on this Monday. Right after this, you're listening to the
- 13:44Speaker 1: string show, Well, it is that time. It's Monday, and
- 13:49Speaker 1: you know what that means. It is time for church
- 13:51Speaker 1: complaints from Reverend Motown and Deacon deaf Jam. We again
- 13:59Speaker 1: we gal the most badaciously where we inteplicate of bringing
- 14:09Speaker 1: about the glarious change. Lord, and I imploded you to
- 14:18Speaker 1: come with me as we fontificate and further prolificate. Lord,
- 14:28Speaker 1: health mercaid by this thing that we call a sermon,
- 14:35Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, without indicable difference. Yea Lord Jesus without portuitiveness,
- 14:48Speaker 1: I present to you my benevolent Deacon death jail Lord.
- 14:58Speaker 1: All right, path, let's get down to it. The ass
- 15:02Speaker 1: She Ministry I having a Luberdern party and want you
- 15:05Speaker 1: to be the guest speaker. H The theme this year
- 15:09Speaker 1: is sad, said and asked, will you speak past it?
- 15:12Speaker 1: That's what they're asking. What do asses have to do
- 15:17Speaker 1: with Luberderm? As she passed the ass shit ash? Oh,
- 15:22Speaker 1: I thought you said, ah, no, it's the Asshy Ministry
- 15:25Speaker 1: the ash, because I was trying to say, that's got
- 15:29Speaker 1: to be Sister Perkins or josh Leen Baker if you
- 15:34Speaker 1: were talking about the Asses Ministry. My mistake. I'm so sorry. Oh,
- 15:41Speaker 1: y'all can do whatever y'all want to do. Or you
- 15:43Speaker 1: what did you say about Luberdern Deacon. It's a Luba
- 15:46Speaker 1: during party and they have the theme is sassy and
- 15:49Speaker 1: ask you they want you to speak at at the party.
- 15:52Speaker 1: But the speaker feet that I don't know, well, I
- 15:59Speaker 1: mean this is uber Dum, the sponsor. I think I
- 16:03Speaker 1: think so I think I'm some I'm gonna need a
- 16:06Speaker 1: some smooth cage. I'd be shooting. Let them now, I'd
- 16:13Speaker 1: be sharing, let them past. Thank you the beautiful all right, Beau. Yeah,
- 16:20Speaker 1: Sister Rose out of Beasley, I wrote a book called
- 16:24Speaker 1: The Woman Owned the Porch down the street from the
- 16:26Speaker 1: Lecerstoe next to the church parking lots. Ain't wait to
- 16:31Speaker 1: read it. Yeah, that's the name of her book. It's
- 16:34Speaker 1: called The Woman Owned the Porch down the street from
- 16:37Speaker 1: the Lekustoe next to the church parking lot. She's asking
- 16:41Speaker 1: h if Steve Harvey could hook her up with Simon
- 16:45Speaker 1: and Schuster publishing company. Dude, you know Steve Harley. Oh yeah,
- 16:51Speaker 1: do or look like to offer suggestion or to sister Beasley, Um,
- 16:57Speaker 1: you want to have a title that can fit on
- 17:00Speaker 1: the cover of the book, or the title should not
- 17:05Speaker 1: be good reading, the good reading should be on the inside.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Or that's just a suggestion of mind. I'm exhausted from
- 17:14Speaker 1: the title. No one cares. We were. It was exciting
- 17:19Speaker 1: when you said the woman on the porch, but then
- 17:22Speaker 1: when you mentioned the fact that she was down the
- 17:24Speaker 1: street or from the from the liquor stole across left
- 17:30Speaker 1: to the church parking lot. But nobody gives a damn
- 17:33Speaker 1: at that point what this book is about. It's too much.
- 17:42Speaker 1: And plus she now, but that's like a roadmap to
- 17:45Speaker 1: your house. You ain't gonna get no piece. Everybody know
- 17:47Speaker 1: where you is now. But all you gotta do is
- 17:52Speaker 1: backtrack it. You gotta do. Get down to this parking lot,
- 17:54Speaker 1: then step over there, and that liquor stole that's right
- 17:57Speaker 1: next to the church, that down the street, and then
- 17:59Speaker 1: out there has to be sitting right there on the poach.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Go here, all right, I sister Renee Dixon is throwing
- 18:09Speaker 1: a lie detective party. Now. She invited all the men,
- 18:13Speaker 1: but they have all rejected the invitations. She wants you
- 18:16Speaker 1: to make all of them, uh attending the party. Yo,
- 18:20Speaker 1: car pass We're not We're not gonna do that, sister Dickerson.
- 18:23Speaker 1: And you understand why who is the lie detective party? For?
- 18:28Speaker 1: You know we're lying. I know we lying. They all
- 18:35Speaker 1: know they're lying. You a fool. That's that's the only truth.
- 18:41Speaker 1: That's party. Now, you got to hear this right here
- 18:45Speaker 1: passing it's a mist and jumped out. Now I want
- 18:47Speaker 1: you to listen to it now, mister Belinda Yates, as
- 18:51Speaker 1: you know, who's always gossiping, said that she saw brother
- 18:54Speaker 1: Craig Colin's car his truck outside of ball all night.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Now she didn't call it. Every member told him to.
- 19:02Speaker 1: His truck is outside the club out night. He's a
- 19:04Speaker 1: drink woman chasing need to be put out the church.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Brother Collins didn't say nothing. You No, Sister Colin only lives.
- 19:13Speaker 1: She only lives Sister West and she only lives full
- 19:18Speaker 1: houses down from the church. So let me tell you
- 19:20Speaker 1: what brother Colin did Saturday night. He parked his truck
- 19:24Speaker 1: outside her house and left it there. And Sunday Martin,
- 19:28Speaker 1: everybody that saw his truck sitting out there on their
- 19:30Speaker 1: way to church, she is lived past it. She is lived. Yeah,
- 19:36Speaker 1: got her. I thought that was a gangster move on.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Brother Collage Park said she want to start a rumor.
- 19:44Speaker 1: The best thing is to be in the room. So
- 19:50Speaker 1: that's how you you heard this, saying, oh, what is
- 19:55Speaker 1: the one that's most appropriate for this situation? Closed mind house,
- 20:00Speaker 1: don't get fed. That probably has nothing to do with this,
- 20:06Speaker 1: but I wanted to say it anyway, so I said it.
- 20:10Speaker 1: I've always wanted to preach that as a sermon, closed mouth,
- 20:16Speaker 1: don't get fed, and but an open mouth gonna have
- 20:21Speaker 1: to eat a lot for sugar honey ice tea. Oh
- 20:26Speaker 1: think I found it. That's the message for sister being
- 20:31Speaker 1: a closed mouth, don't get fed, but an open mouth
- 20:37Speaker 1: gonna have to eat a whole lot or sugar honey
- 20:41Speaker 1: iced tea and let it flow. Blow Ray coming up
- 20:48Speaker 1: the CLO Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey in the building
- 20:51Speaker 1: for your love questions. Right after this, you're listening Stry
- 20:56Speaker 1: Morning Show. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 20:59Speaker 1: legendary very comedian an actor Earthquake very Special guests to
- 21:04Speaker 1: talk about his brand new special on Netflix with Right
- 21:08Speaker 1: now it is time for ask the CLO. Chief Love
- 21:11Speaker 1: Officer Steve Harvey is ready for you. Manny and Summerland says,
- 21:16Speaker 1: I am a thirty nine year old divorced man and
- 21:19Speaker 1: I've got a crush on a friend. I sent her
- 21:21Speaker 1: roses from a secret admirer and she called me excited
- 21:24Speaker 1: about the flowers, saying she'd hoped that they were from
- 21:27Speaker 1: a guy at the gym and that she's been flirting with.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Should I tell her there from me or let it
- 21:33Speaker 1: go because she's not interested Hey, dog, I haven't told
- 21:39Speaker 1: y'all about these friendships. But here we go again. So
- 21:43Speaker 1: what did you send it as a secret at mind fault?
- 21:46Speaker 1: Now you can got your face crack. She hopes, this
- 21:48Speaker 1: dude down at the gym, it ain't is you. Why
- 21:52Speaker 1: don't you just go on and tell her you thirty nine?
- 21:56Speaker 1: Tell her you know what, and I'll tell you a
- 22:00Speaker 1: slick way to do it. Send another set of flowers
- 22:04Speaker 1: tour and say I heard of your enthusiasm for who
- 22:10Speaker 1: you had hoped these were four, but it was actually me.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Don't don't say nothing else. I have learned about your
- 22:19Speaker 1: enthusiasm of who you had hoped the previous bouquet of
- 22:23Speaker 1: flowers were from, but they were from me and thee.
- 22:29Speaker 1: And see if she come up to you, then see
- 22:31Speaker 1: pillay keep against dog? All right? Many moving on to Wow,
- 22:37Speaker 1: this is an interesting name, Superior. That's the street I
- 22:42Speaker 1: grew up on. So she better have whoever this is
- 22:45Speaker 1: better headache thing together because I grew up off one
- 22:48Speaker 1: hundred twelfth and Superior have it together. Let's go Sherley.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Her name is Superior in Memphis. She says, I'm thirty
- 22:56Speaker 1: and I moved back to my hometown for a really
- 22:58Speaker 1: great job. I have been hanging with my old friends,
- 23:01Speaker 1: and the places we go are the same place as
- 23:04Speaker 1: my father goes. He's single and loves to hang out,
- 23:07Speaker 1: so it makes it very awkward. He loves to let
- 23:10Speaker 1: everyone know he's the cool young dad. How do I
- 23:13Speaker 1: address this? First of all, you've made a mistake. You
- 23:18Speaker 1: got out of Memphis. God blessed you sent you back
- 23:23Speaker 1: to Memphis for a great job with a great promotion.
- 23:28Speaker 1: You then went right back to your same old place,
- 23:33Speaker 1: your same old ways, and your same old friends. But
- 23:39Speaker 1: you want to see something different. You're not. It's the same.
- 23:46Speaker 1: You don't gotta address your daddy. You gotta address yourself.
- 23:52Speaker 1: The group you staying with his frozen in time. You
- 23:56Speaker 1: got to move on so you can be what God
- 23:58Speaker 1: made you to be. You said to have been trying

- 24:31Speaker 1: My son's wife doesn't like to fly, so he said
- 24:34Speaker 1: it wouldn't be right to leave her. Who is more important,
- 24:37Speaker 1: his wife or his parents? His wife? I hate to

- 26:10Speaker 1: teacher at my school. We got along fine, but we
- 26:13Speaker 1: haven't had sex shut because of the way he smells.
- 26:16Speaker 1: He wears cheap cologne over his natural body odor and
- 26:20Speaker 1: dirty clothes. We've been trying to hook up for a while,
- 26:23Speaker 1: but this is a major issue for me. Do I
- 26:26Speaker 1: offer to wash his clothes and buy him some cologne?
- 26:29Speaker 1: Excuse me? What does she say to man? Does he's
- 26:32Speaker 1: a pe teacher smell like? Have you been in the
- 26:39Speaker 1: boys locker room in a school? Because that's where he
- 26:43Speaker 1: had all day? And then he in that gym with
- 26:47Speaker 1: them boys all day. How you think this man posts
- 26:52Speaker 1: a smith just going to boys gym, That's why he
- 26:55Speaker 1: had all days. The man that show wear to school somewhere,
- 27:02Speaker 1: he going to prison. Sureley, if that man take his
- 27:04Speaker 1: clothes off of that damn school and getting that shower ass,
- 27:07Speaker 1: not his ass, are going to prison. Damn coach, can't
- 27:13Speaker 1: take your clothes off at school. Tell you that right
- 27:15Speaker 1: now at home. I don't know what school you think
- 27:18Speaker 1: is in this public school. The man smelled like his occupation.
- 27:26Speaker 1: What you need to do is go out on a
- 27:28Speaker 1: date with him and see what he's like away from
- 27:32Speaker 1: the pe j'ab. The bro might be fine. He might
- 27:37Speaker 1: be fine that well. The cologne is okay. But you
- 27:46Speaker 1: know a teacher man, he ain't got a lot of money.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Probably came by tom Ford cologne, and all this he
- 27:54Speaker 1: got by was down there at the grocery store. What
- 27:56Speaker 1: they said at the grocery store? What cologne's pr Who?
- 28:02Speaker 1: That was one of my favorites. Do they do they
- 28:06Speaker 1: have Polo down? Now? Polo down? Licra Phil? Why do

- 28:55Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, I'm better not
- 28:57Speaker 1: find no brute. I know that. With the chain on
- 29:03Speaker 1: the bottom. Earthquake right after this, you're listening Hey, y'all,
- 29:14Speaker 1: uh hey, listen up. As promise of family members on
- 29:18Speaker 1: the phone, this brother right here is, simply put, is
- 29:23Speaker 1: just one of the greats period at this thing that's
- 29:29Speaker 1: a very specialized skill set called stand up. I know
- 29:34Speaker 1: who they are. There may be some up and comers
- 29:37Speaker 1: that I'm not aware of or familiar with because I'm
- 29:40Speaker 1: not out there touring. But if you are of the
- 29:44Speaker 1: status of greatness as a stand up, there is no
- 29:49Speaker 1: way I don't know you. It's no way I ain't
- 29:52Speaker 1: work with you. The brother that I'm introducing is greatness.
- 29:58Speaker 1: He has a comedy special coming out on Netflix as
- 30:05Speaker 1: a part of this all New Chapelle's Home Team series,
- 30:10Speaker 1: and the first special premiers today on Netflix, and it
- 30:15Speaker 1: is from our special guest this morning. I'm oh boy,
- 30:19Speaker 1: long overdue has well deserved earned. And I don't know, well,
- 30:29Speaker 1: I do know, and I'll explain that reason why it's
- 30:34Speaker 1: gotten to this point. But ladies and gentlemen, he's here today,
- 30:38Speaker 1: and I bet you whatever Dave Chappelle is doing this
- 30:43Speaker 1: here one right here, it's gonna be the funniest one
- 30:46Speaker 1: of them all. I got all my cash bent on
- 30:49Speaker 1: his ass. I could tell you that right now. I
- 30:53Speaker 1: haven't seen it, my damn self. Ladies and gentlemen, The legendary,
- 31:00Speaker 1: the one and only earth quake, my quake, Quay, can't
- 31:09Speaker 1: that boy doing intro like? I keep that dude? Hey,
- 31:19Speaker 1: And that's the name of the special two earth quake,
- 31:22Speaker 1: legendary quake. First of all, man, congratulations man, yes you
- 31:29Speaker 1: Steve is uh you know, like you said for thirty
- 31:33Speaker 1: year overnight sensation. You know what I mean, overnight It's great, man,
- 31:38Speaker 1: it's trilling good. I've done more mainstream press this last
- 31:45Speaker 1: for days than I've done my whole dirty year career.
- 31:48Speaker 1: And it's right, it's remarkable. Everything I'm found. I was
- 31:52Speaker 1: on TMZ for the right reason, you know what I mean? No,
- 31:58Speaker 1: I was, no, ye ain't quake because you know what
- 32:03Speaker 1: it is. And this is what I want to say
- 32:05Speaker 1: to people, the reason and quake said it just now
- 32:10Speaker 1: he's done more mainstream press than he's ever done in
- 32:14Speaker 1: his entire career. The reason it has taken thirty some
- 32:20Speaker 1: years to see this brother finally get a special it
- 32:25Speaker 1: is because, and I'm going to tell you all facts now,
- 32:29Speaker 1: it is because the powers that be on HBO Show Time,
- 32:34Speaker 1: those powers that be. They did not. The white people
- 32:40Speaker 1: who make the decisions who greenlights these specials did not
- 32:44Speaker 1: get Earthquake. They didn't get him. He was too black,
- 32:48Speaker 1: he was too urban. What's he talking about? Have you
- 32:52Speaker 1: all seen his ticket sales? Have you all seen the
- 32:56Speaker 1: reaction that the audience has and well you said, don't
- 33:00Speaker 1: about know that? Who you going? Man? White people would
- 33:05Speaker 1: hear that and go, what is he doing? It's called killing.
- 33:09Speaker 1: He's killing and he's ripping the room. But Dave Chappelle
- 33:15Speaker 1: knew and he used his contact with Netflix and his
- 33:20Speaker 1: power and this is the first one that's coming out
- 33:23Speaker 1: tonight because this dude right here, Earthquake got it just
- 33:27Speaker 1: like all of us been getting it for years. Congratulations
- 33:30Speaker 1: earth Question. Yeah, well thank you, brother, And it was
- 33:35Speaker 1: a blast of many today to the team, my team Nextflix. Yeah,
- 33:40Speaker 1: they took care of me too. I didn't have no
- 33:42Speaker 1: Monique problem. No thanks, it was great and I was
- 33:47Speaker 1: over there at leasing. Thank yourself. I'll come back here again.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Check him like whoa look at Jesus, I like, I said,
- 34:01Speaker 1: look at Jesus. I said, look at God boy. Ain't
- 34:05Speaker 1: nothing like that chip. You ain't expect you know that
- 34:11Speaker 1: when you didn't count on Lord Lord, Lord, Lord Lord. Yeah,
- 34:17Speaker 1: church with coast. I ain't even get my ties, so
- 34:20Speaker 1: you know, I gotta get those together. I said, I
- 34:23Speaker 1: wanted to go, but it was they were practicing COVID,
- 34:26Speaker 1: so they didn't speed away from the church. So I'm
- 34:29Speaker 1: gonna get the napart. But I would have never been good.
- 34:33Speaker 1: It's been great, Man. I love him. I love hey. Man.
- 34:37Speaker 1: You know you talk about so much stuff over the years. Man,
- 34:42Speaker 1: what what can people expect from this this version of quake? Man? Listen, Man,
- 34:48Speaker 1: I give you the utmost respect the props because you
- 34:51Speaker 1: helped me early in my career, and I gave him
- 34:54Speaker 1: what you taught me. Man, A hundred percent ignorant. But
- 34:57Speaker 1: nothing but number one. All these and number one I
- 35:00Speaker 1: put on the note, but one, number one, all one,
- 35:04Speaker 1: None buter ones. Bro, I ain't leave. I shot none
- 35:07Speaker 1: of ones on them and one hundred percent igrant. And
- 35:12Speaker 1: I think this the first pet show that actually captured
- 35:15Speaker 1: who quake? Is that what everybody else has been knowing
- 35:18Speaker 1: and scene over the thirty years of my career? I
- 35:20Speaker 1: mean it was And I finally watched it this Wednesday
- 35:25Speaker 1: when we did the screening Kevin Arts facial shout out
- 35:29Speaker 1: to cams Man hosted the screening premiere for me. I
- 35:34Speaker 1: told him, he said, who you want their champ? I
- 35:36Speaker 1: see anybody that you move with Needle Rob Rob packing
- 35:40Speaker 1: on the back. I don't need somebody to help me
- 35:42Speaker 1: getting some money, so I don't have no understand episode.
- 35:45Speaker 1: That's all I quake squa hang on man, we'd be
- 35:49Speaker 1: right there. Hey, y'all, don't don't know where we got family?
- 35:51Speaker 1: Remember quake more of him right after this. You're listening,
- 35:59Speaker 1: all right, y'all, we're back, and we're back with this
- 36:02Speaker 1: food Every Earthquake Who's uh special on Netflix. It starts tonight.
- 36:09Speaker 1: It's called Earthquake Legendary and it's gonna be all ones
- 36:14Speaker 1: in case you don't know what all ones is. Tell
- 36:17Speaker 1: everybody what all ones is? Earthquake. I learned this with Steve.
- 36:21Speaker 1: You have a rating of jokes, you know, folds it
- 36:24Speaker 1: when they it's fillers. Three they work sometimes two they
- 36:28Speaker 1: kind of slams. But one that means you can tell
- 36:32Speaker 1: them at a funeral and they gotta laugh. This one
- 36:38Speaker 1: works anywhere that you work. And Steve taught me that.
- 36:41Speaker 1: He's like, get them all together, move your ground and
- 36:44Speaker 1: then when you're ready to cut a specially when you're
- 36:47Speaker 1: ready to headline, line up all your ones. If you
- 36:50Speaker 1: line them all your ones and then I do rapid five,
- 36:53Speaker 1: I put them all in ones and don't put nose
- 36:55Speaker 1: flack on it, then you can go behind anybody. I
- 36:59Speaker 1: tell people all the time, don't tell me how many
- 37:02Speaker 1: followers you have. Tell me how many comedians can you follow?
- 37:07Speaker 1: That's what allows you what noo we are in that
- 37:10Speaker 1: game you are. I don't even know how many people
- 37:12Speaker 1: you follow. I want to know how many comedians can
- 37:15Speaker 1: you follow? Can you follow? Five dogs? After the show
- 37:19Speaker 1: starting late, because you know it's a black show, ladies
- 37:23Speaker 1: put their uncle on and the beauty they have a
- 37:27Speaker 1: beauty concast. They they have them when they're telling Chicken.
- 37:33Speaker 1: Then the path for talking and then they said he didn't.
- 37:36Speaker 1: Don't you got you gotta have one for those you
- 37:39Speaker 1: got one for. I'm gonna tell you something about earthquake.
- 37:43Speaker 1: Earthquake is from that era where he had to follow
- 37:48Speaker 1: everybody in front of him was great quake. I don't
- 37:50Speaker 1: know if you remember this night in Dallas, Texas out
- 37:53Speaker 1: the outdoor Amphitheater by Coca Cola. It was Joe Torrey,
- 38:01Speaker 1: Jay Anthony Brown, Steve Harvey, Bernie Mack, Bill Bellamy, an
- 38:11Speaker 1: earthquake man. That was the line up. So what Quake
- 38:15Speaker 1: is saying is, man, you had to be able to
- 38:17Speaker 1: follow everybody out there kill it. So when you hit
- 38:21Speaker 1: them too, famous words, the most fearful words in show business.
- 38:24Speaker 1: When you hear him, you got to be ready. You
- 38:26Speaker 1: next an earthquake. I didn't kill where you slotted him.
- 38:31Speaker 1: He was always ready to be next. He comes from
- 38:34Speaker 1: that era of some bad boys. I'm so proud of you, man,
- 38:37Speaker 1: I can't even tell you. I feel like I'm getting
- 38:41Speaker 1: a special I do. He's a comedians comedian. Baby Quake.
- 38:49Speaker 1: Sit right there, man. We're gonna keep Quake on because
- 38:51Speaker 1: this is our boy. Tonight everybody has starts on Netflix.
- 38:55Speaker 1: It's called Earthquake Legendary. Oh Lord, make sure you get it.
- 39:01Speaker 1: Watch it over and over and over. We'll be back
- 39:03Speaker 1: with more Earthquake right after this. You're listening, right, everybody,
- 39:10Speaker 1: We're back and on the phone. We got us this
- 39:13Speaker 1: morning because his Netflix series starts this evening, and the
- 39:17Speaker 1: special on Netflix is called Earthquake Legendary. So quick, let
- 39:23Speaker 1: me ask you a couple of questions, man, about what's
- 39:26Speaker 1: going on in the world today Friday. You know, President
- 39:31Speaker 1: Biden nominated a federal appellet Judge Cotanji Brown Jackson to
- 39:39Speaker 1: become the first black woman to serve on the US
- 39:42Speaker 1: Supreme Court, and we really kind of hopeful that the
- 39:46Speaker 1: Senate gonna confirm her as soon as possible. You got
- 39:48Speaker 1: any thoughts on this at all? Well, First of all,
- 39:53Speaker 1: any sister got three names is qualified. Second of all,
- 39:57Speaker 1: U you know, I think that's first of all. Second
- 40:02Speaker 1: of all, when I found out she used to be
- 40:04Speaker 1: a public defended Sometimes somebody at the highest court understand
- 40:09Speaker 1: the judicial system at his lawers level, I think to
- 40:13Speaker 1: sit there. You know, I heard she did pro bono
- 40:16Speaker 1: work and had a major law firm represent one of
- 40:20Speaker 1: her family members pro bono to help them with a
- 40:23Speaker 1: life centers on a non valance charge. You need those
- 40:28Speaker 1: type of people in that room to get the perspective
- 40:31Speaker 1: for all people. For the little longest, they just had
- 40:34Speaker 1: people from one perspective of the law. You need some
- 40:37Speaker 1: people who's going through, preferably people such as ourselves. I
- 40:40Speaker 1: tell people all the time, we are black people. We
- 40:43Speaker 1: don't have no problem with the law. We have a
- 40:45Speaker 1: problem with the enforcement of the law certain people who
- 40:49Speaker 1: do not play the same price that other people doing,
- 40:52Speaker 1: preferably my Caucasian brothers and sisters. So you know, I'm
- 40:56Speaker 1: looking forward to it. I believe anything wouldn't come to
- 41:00Speaker 1: a black woman, you know what I mean, because they're
- 41:02Speaker 1: the reason why where will we at? We have men,
- 41:06Speaker 1: our men has been riding the coattails and the back
- 41:10Speaker 1: of black one our women for essentially, So I'm proud
- 41:14Speaker 1: of it. I hope you get confirmed what you know,
- 41:17Speaker 1: how it is Lindsey Graham and the rest of them
- 41:20Speaker 1: and whos talking about his discriminatory has the scriminatory Can
- 41:26Speaker 1: we get one chip from the cookie? Because I don't
- 41:28Speaker 1: even look at the other brothers on our side, So
- 41:30Speaker 1: can we get one chip? Yeah? That cookie right there? Boy,
- 41:36Speaker 1: I swear I don't know what they did to them,
- 41:38Speaker 1: but they called them, they called them, robbed him of
- 41:43Speaker 1: all his humanity on that black side. Yeah. Man, it's
- 41:51Speaker 1: like it's it's so much happening out here that's going crazy. Man,
- 41:55Speaker 1: that's going to take a different perspective of them right now.
- 42:00Speaker 1: I have to watch what I say concerning this Russian
- 42:05Speaker 1: Ukrane conflict. I gotta be careful with what I say.
- 42:11Speaker 1: You know you don't because you don't. You know, you
- 42:17Speaker 1: and Dave are very well. You gotta be careful. Let
- 42:20Speaker 1: me take that back, because you gotta be careful because
- 42:22Speaker 1: your asses on the neighborhood. Now you don't do any
- 42:26Speaker 1: TV shows. So listen to me, man, that's the Quake
- 42:34Speaker 1: I know right there. Tonight, everybody, the first special premiers
- 42:42Speaker 1: on Netflix from the Chapelle Home Team series, and I'm
- 42:46Speaker 1: just gonna flat out tell you right now, this is
- 42:49Speaker 1: gonna be the best one. I don't even know who
- 42:51Speaker 1: the other ones are. I'm pretty sure they're real good.
- 42:53Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure they share greatness. But in my heart,
- 42:58Speaker 1: Steve Harvey's hard nephew, Tommy's hard, kids hard, those of
- 43:04Speaker 1: us that do it. And then women and the girls
- 43:06Speaker 1: that have loved Quake for all these years, we could
- 43:09Speaker 1: not be happier or more proud of somebody getting the shot.
- 43:13Speaker 1: And I'm gonna tell you one other thing too, Quake.
- 43:16Speaker 1: This is just the first one, because after this one,
- 43:20Speaker 1: they're gonna give you another one. Watch what I tell you.
- 43:24Speaker 1: I was a twenty two year old comedian. The only
- 43:27Speaker 1: reason why I know what the improv looks like is
- 43:29Speaker 1: because quake pull is the first one to put me
- 43:31Speaker 1: in the aliast room. I appreciate you for that, man, Well,
- 43:34Speaker 1: Steve did it for me and he always quake listen. Man,
- 43:38Speaker 1: I love you, man, we love you. Keep doing your thing. Man, congratulations.
- 43:42Speaker 1: Everybody in the Steve Harvy nation already know you love him.
- 43:46Speaker 1: Show up and show out on Netflix and keep getting
- 43:49Speaker 1: it over and over and over. It's called earthquake. Legendary
- 43:53Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, put your hands together for the legend
- 43:57Speaker 1: that is earthquake. Come on, you're listening to morning show
- 44:06Speaker 1: coming up at four minutes after the hour. It's my
- 44:09Speaker 1: Strawberry letter for today. The subject he won't let me lead.
- 44:15Speaker 1: We'll get into that in just a bit, but right
- 44:17Speaker 1: now it is time for the prank. Comb almost said,
- 44:20Speaker 1: comb falls, nephews comes. My son used to say it
- 44:26Speaker 1: time for the frank phone call with the nephew. What
- 44:28Speaker 1: you got for his nap? Comb? Alright? Alright? You know
- 44:32Speaker 1: we have some rough beginnings. We do. We have rough
- 44:36Speaker 1: beginnings sometimes, but there's nothing better than happy Indy, Happy Indy.
- 44:46Speaker 1: I know, I know some of y'all are frowning and
- 44:49Speaker 1: cringing a little bit. But that's all right. It's all right.
- 44:51Speaker 1: Happy endings, cat dog. If you would hello, Depian, just
- 44:57Speaker 1: duty speaking. How may I help you? Oh yeah, I'm
- 44:59Speaker 1: trying to me and get some therapy done. I was
- 45:02Speaker 1: in an accident at my job. You know, I got
- 45:04Speaker 1: injured like a week and a half ago. I ain't
- 45:06Speaker 1: been able to go back to work for my back
- 45:08Speaker 1: and my league they say, you know, I haven't broke
- 45:11Speaker 1: any bones in none, but it's you know, it's real
- 45:13Speaker 1: so or real steal, hard to get out of bed.
- 45:15Speaker 1: So I wanted to see you know what it takes
- 45:17Speaker 1: to get a therapist and get started getting some type
- 45:21Speaker 1: of treatment. Okay, well, sir, what we typically do is
- 45:24Speaker 1: we ask for our patients to come in, you know,
- 45:26Speaker 1: check out our facility and so we can also accept
- 45:29Speaker 1: you you know, see where the damage is, the majority
- 45:32Speaker 1: of it, and you know, then get you to a therapist.
- 45:35Speaker 1: So if you would like to come in, we can
- 45:36Speaker 1: definitely do that for you. Okay. Do you know what
- 45:39Speaker 1: the therapists actually do when they do in the treatment. Well,
- 45:42Speaker 1: if you come in, sir, we can definitely direct you
- 45:45Speaker 1: to any of our three therapists that we have on
- 45:48Speaker 1: site right now, but each one specializes in a particular field,
- 45:53Speaker 1: so it's more beneficial for you if you come in
- 45:56Speaker 1: and then we can assess you and then direct you
- 45:58Speaker 1: to that particular therapist. Okay, so you said, how many
- 46:02Speaker 1: y'all do y'all have? We have three. There's Marty, Brenda
- 46:05Speaker 1: and Cecilia here. Okay. The person that referred me to
- 46:09Speaker 1: y'all told me that Cecilia was the one that had
- 46:12Speaker 1: worked on Is there a way I could talk to Cecilia? Typically,
- 46:16Speaker 1: we normally ask my patience to come in then let
- 46:18Speaker 1: me see if she's available right now. I know earlier
- 46:21Speaker 1: she was was a patient, so let me just check
- 46:23Speaker 1: really quick. I mean, if she is available, then I
- 46:26Speaker 1: can I can transfer you. Okay, Okay, okay, I just
- 46:29Speaker 1: hold on, Okay, hold on, Hi. This is Cecilia. Yeah,
- 46:35Speaker 1: Miss Cecilia trying to come up there and get some
- 46:37Speaker 1: therapy done. I heard my back and my leg at work.
- 46:40Speaker 1: I mean they are they already told me was nothing broken, nothing,
- 46:43Speaker 1: But I wanted to see what exactly do y'all do
- 46:46Speaker 1: is for? Is physical therapy? You know, what exactly will
- 46:49Speaker 1: I be doing well when you come in, we'll do
- 46:51Speaker 1: a consultation and you know, will massage you and take
- 46:57Speaker 1: X rays and put you in a whirlpool up and
- 47:00Speaker 1: there are several different things that we can do for you. Okay,
- 47:04Speaker 1: is it a certain timeline? I mean, like, how long
- 47:06Speaker 1: would it take before I can get back to work,
- 47:08Speaker 1: because you know, I've been awful about a week nine.
- 47:10Speaker 1: I'm trying to get back within the next couple of weeks.
- 47:13Speaker 1: But it's taking me, like, you know, at least thirty
- 47:16Speaker 1: minutes to get out of bed because of my back
- 47:18Speaker 1: in my leg. Oh wow, Well you need to come
- 47:21Speaker 1: in as soon as possible because that's something like that's
- 47:23Speaker 1: pretty bad. Okay, Well, let me ask you this hill.
- 47:26Speaker 1: After people get through doing the therapy, do y'all have
- 47:30Speaker 1: happy endings? Happy endings? What do you mean by happy endings?
- 47:34Speaker 1: How happy end is? Like, you know, when therapy is
- 47:36Speaker 1: over with, you know, do would you yourself? You know,
- 47:39Speaker 1: would you do happy endings at the end? Okay, I'm
- 47:42Speaker 1: still not understanding what do you mean by happy endings?
- 47:45Speaker 1: What are you talking about? Okay, say, like if I
- 47:47Speaker 1: come over then and go through a session or whatever
- 47:50Speaker 1: for about an hour. When we get through you know,
- 47:53Speaker 1: when you kind of like, you know, close the dough
- 47:55Speaker 1: and and you know, you know, do happy endings, you know,
- 47:59Speaker 1: and make me feel good. Okay, um, close the door.
- 48:05Speaker 1: I'm still not quite understanding what you mean by happy ending, sir. Okay.
- 48:11Speaker 1: What I'm trying to say is like, when we get
- 48:13Speaker 1: through with the procedure, uh, you know, make me feel
- 48:16Speaker 1: good in a in a nice uh you know, sexual way.
- 48:19Speaker 1: You know, happy endings. When Judy sent you back to me,
- 48:25Speaker 1: what are we talking about with this happy ending thing?
- 48:27Speaker 1: Because I don't I don't. I didn't ask something about
- 48:29Speaker 1: the happy ending? Is that that right there just gonna
- 48:31Speaker 1: be between me and you? We'll see. I don't. I
- 48:34Speaker 1: don't plan it. I don't know. This is a place
- 48:36Speaker 1: of business. We're professional here. We do therapy for people
- 48:41Speaker 1: who are seriously being hurt. This is not the nearest
- 48:46Speaker 1: for we're talking about happy endings after we finish with that.
- 48:50Speaker 1: What's not a place? Do you think this is? Well?
- 48:52Speaker 1: I mean, I know it's I know it's therapy, But
- 48:54Speaker 1: I mean, if people going through that much pain at
- 48:57Speaker 1: least have some type of happy endings, don't you think well,
- 49:00Speaker 1: I think you might suggest your significant other Okay, so
- 49:04Speaker 1: you wouldn't be up for doing a happy ending for hell, No,
- 49:07Speaker 1: ain't interested in that. Look, man, what kind of this
- 49:11Speaker 1: you call about talking about? You heard? Hell? Have you heard?
- 49:14Speaker 1: You shouldn't be talking about be ended? You're talking about it? Okay?
- 49:17Speaker 1: Hold on? I mean you're not talking to me professionally.
- 49:20Speaker 1: Well you coming at me with this happy ending ain't
- 49:23Speaker 1: professionally at all either? What kind of place you? Ain't
- 49:26Speaker 1: we running over here? Okay? Hold on? I was referred
- 49:29Speaker 1: to you. I'm thinking, you know the guy telling me?
- 49:32Speaker 1: You know you're gonna take Kimmy? What God told you
- 49:35Speaker 1: like this? I'm sorry, God, I told you something like this.
- 49:39Speaker 1: Let you know what. Let's not even going there because
- 49:41Speaker 1: I don't even want to bring him into this. Can
- 49:43Speaker 1: you satisfy me? Out the east there? I'm gonna tip
- 49:46Speaker 1: you a little bit too, man, Have you lost your
- 49:51Speaker 1: everlasting marble mind? Are you gone crazy? Julie? Julie? Who
- 49:56Speaker 1: in the hell is this on the phone that you
- 49:59Speaker 1: didn't sit through me thinking this is an happy ending place?
- 50:03Speaker 1: Who is this? Missus Cilia? She don't she don't know
- 50:05Speaker 1: nothing about the happy ending part. It don't matter you
- 50:09Speaker 1: You you the receptionist. You know what, you on the
- 50:11Speaker 1: borderline losing your job because this is hello hello, missus Cilia.
- 50:16Speaker 1: Can I just tell you who who referred me? Who?
- 50:19Speaker 1: Who who told you that I have happy endies for anybody?

- 53:49Speaker 1: He won't let me lead Before I get into this letter.
- 53:52Speaker 1: Let me say, if you have any young kids with you,
- 53:56Speaker 1: you don't want them to hear this letter. Okay, that's
- 53:59Speaker 1: my disclaim for this letter. Again. The subject is he
- 54:02Speaker 1: won't let me lead. Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm a forty
- 54:05Speaker 1: something married female and I know that my husband cheated
- 54:09Speaker 1: on me for years, and I finally gave him an
- 54:12Speaker 1: ultimatum at the end of January. We talked and both
- 54:16Speaker 1: said we didn't want to end our marriage, so we
- 54:19Speaker 1: decided to do things a little differently so he wouldn't
- 54:22Speaker 1: get bored in the bedrooms. I met his girlfriend and
- 54:25Speaker 1: she was honest about their relationship. She said it was
- 54:28Speaker 1: only for the sex, and she'd been asking to involve
- 54:31Speaker 1: me in their sex capades. I was drawn to her
- 54:35Speaker 1: sexy lips and cute little hips, so I initiated the
- 54:38Speaker 1: first intimate act with her. It was just me and
- 54:41Speaker 1: her and we let my husband watch. After that night,
- 54:45Speaker 1: things immediately got better for my husband and I in
- 54:49Speaker 1: the bedroom. Two weeks later, we invited her over for
- 54:52Speaker 1: the weekend while our children were with my parents. Since
- 54:56Speaker 1: it was my first threesome, I wanted to control the position,
- 55:00Speaker 1: the lead, everything until I got comfortable watching him with
- 55:03Speaker 1: another woman. We started off the weekend like we were
- 55:06Speaker 1: at a resort. I got a charcuterie board and caviare
- 55:10Speaker 1: and we put three big stakes on the grill. We
- 55:13Speaker 1: enjoyed our hot tub and pulled together and my husband
- 55:16Speaker 1: massaged us both in the bedroom. But then things went
- 55:21Speaker 1: sour when the intimacy started. He was focused on her,
- 55:25Speaker 1: and he was focused on her and ignored my request.
- 55:28Speaker 1: They were next to me whispering to each other intimately,
- 55:33Speaker 1: and when he got to me, the only whisper he
- 55:36Speaker 1: gave me was to tell me I was ruining the
- 55:39Speaker 1: night with all of my directions. I was stunned. When
- 55:42Speaker 1: it was over, she decided to go home, and my
- 55:45Speaker 1: husband got upset with me. I've tried calling her to
- 55:48Speaker 1: fix things and she's not returning my calls. Have they
- 55:51Speaker 1: shut me out? As he really really mad because I
- 55:55Speaker 1: tried to lead, or because he wants this other chick?
- 56:00Speaker 1: I think all of the above. Yes, he definitely doesn't
- 56:03Speaker 1: want you involved. I mean I think that was pretty
- 56:05Speaker 1: clear by the way he was acting. He just wants
- 56:07Speaker 1: her for himself. Yeah, they've shut you out, and I
- 56:12Speaker 1: got to ask you, why is this a surprise to
- 56:15Speaker 1: you when you said you knew he had cheated on
- 56:17Speaker 1: you for years. I think by participating, all you did
- 56:23Speaker 1: was give him permission to continue cheating and continue with
- 56:27Speaker 1: these affairs. Only now he can do it in your
- 56:30Speaker 1: face because you gave him permission. You joined in. And
- 56:33Speaker 1: while some men would love this gift that you gave
- 56:36Speaker 1: your husband, you know, having three sums in all of that,
- 56:41Speaker 1: it just seems to irritate him that you were even there.
- 56:43Speaker 1: And but now both of them have a change of heart.
- 56:46Speaker 1: Because the other woman who called you and said she
- 56:50Speaker 1: wanted you to participate at first, it's like you're getting
- 56:52Speaker 1: on her nerves too. I think that's because your husband
- 56:56Speaker 1: empowered her with all that whispering and everything and being
- 56:59Speaker 1: mad at you. So I say, put the ultimatum back
- 57:03Speaker 1: on the table, because you're done with his cheating and
- 57:06Speaker 1: you're no longer gonna go along with it. Right, that's
- 57:10Speaker 1: not what you want. It's time for you to stand
- 57:12Speaker 1: up for yourself and just let him know that he
- 57:15Speaker 1: doesn't respect you. That's clear, he doesn't respect you or
- 57:18Speaker 1: the marriage, and that may or may not change if
- 57:20Speaker 1: you let him know how you feel. But moving forward,
- 57:23Speaker 1: at least you can respect yourself at this point, all right,
- 57:27Speaker 1: and make some decisions involving you, you know, and what
- 57:31Speaker 1: you want. Steve, I can't believe his ragged as letter.
- 57:36Speaker 1: I know. They just kept surprising me every time I
- 57:39Speaker 1: ask some mo. It kept. Now the biggest surprise for
- 57:42Speaker 1: me is later in the letter, so I won't I'm
- 57:45Speaker 1: going The shock of the whole letter for me is
- 57:48Speaker 1: later on. Okay, but I'm the whole Damn. You're forty
- 57:54Speaker 1: year old. You knew your husband has cheated on you
- 57:59Speaker 1: for years, for years, You've known this. I finally gave
- 58:05Speaker 1: him an ultimatum at the end of January. We talked
- 58:09Speaker 1: and we both said we didn't want our marriage to end.
- 58:13Speaker 1: I mean, why would he. I can be married and
- 58:17Speaker 1: you know I'm cheating and we still married. What is
- 58:22Speaker 1: this ice cream and Kate too situation? Why? So here
- 58:28Speaker 1: we go. We decided to do things a little differently
- 58:34Speaker 1: so he wouldn't get bored in the bad room. Are
- 58:37Speaker 1: you sure this was a weird decision? Oh? Well, let's go.
- 58:43Speaker 1: I'm he was. He was that. That was a shocker.
- 58:46Speaker 1: He was the next shocker. I met his girlfriend and
- 58:50Speaker 1: she was honest about their relationship right there? Right? What?
- 58:57Speaker 1: Who are you married to? Who's this got married to?
- 59:01Speaker 1: Who's writing this letter? Suddenly? This is not from the
- 59:05Speaker 1: people on this morning show. Colin Farrell is a stone
- 59:10Speaker 1: cold killer. I can't imagine killer. No, no, stone cold killer.
- 59:19Speaker 1: When the breaking, sugar gas tank, tire slitting shot, fine
- 59:28Speaker 1: ass pupping, dope breaking, when the crashing, when she'll breaking
- 59:34Speaker 1: and caller from back in the day, carler broker antenna
- 59:39Speaker 1: off a dude car one time. Just you're not listening
- 59:45Speaker 1: to the damn ray Hill card used to have antenna's
- 59:48Speaker 1: on him. You're not listening to the Regil. When I
- 59:52Speaker 1: come back, I'll tell you the rest of the shocking
- 59:55Speaker 1: things that I discovered. All right, we'll have heart two
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: of your response coming up. It's twenty three minutes after
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: the hour. Today's subject he won't let Me lead. We'll
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: get back into it right after this. You're listening Steve
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, come on, Steve, let's recap
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: today's strawberry letter. The subject he won't let me lead?
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: All right, here we go. Funny, y'all, woman married to
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: a man that she'd been knowing she'd been she'd been
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: cheating on her for years. They sat down and finally
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: issued an ultimatum. At the end of January. They both
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: decided they didn't want their marriage to end, so they
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: decided to change things up in the bedroom to stop
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: some of the boredom. Then the lady out of nowhere,
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: saying I met his girlfriend and she was honest about
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: that relationship. She said it was only for sex, and
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: she'd been asking to involve me in that escapade. Now,
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: this obviously was exciting to you. You say you was
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: drawn to her sexy, lipton, cute little hips. So I
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: initiated the first intimate at with her and it was
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: just me and her, and I let my husband watch
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: what they don't. They don't look like fun to me.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: I don't sitting here watching on There's no way that's
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: number one reads. I don't like strip clubs. It's all
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: that's watching. See. I don't don't y'all, y'all see, y'all
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: gonna see nothing about New Steve Harvet, no strip club
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: that ended in my life long long time ago, because
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: even for I was famous good. It's just what we
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: were watching. I don't like watching. But if I ain't,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: this ain't for me. For participation. And you see, once
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: you can't dance on me, then go dance on him,
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: because now I'm gonna dislike your ass. The whole strip
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: club doesn't work for me. See that's so anyway, that's
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: a long story right here, here we go. After that night,
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: things immediately got better for me and my husband in
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: the bedroom. Two weeks later, we invited over for the
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: weekend while her children were with my parents. Now he
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: is a key. Since this was my first threesol, I
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: wanted to control the positions. See now we go back
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: to the title of the letter, lood he won't let
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: me leave. I'm going to tell you why. In the
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: second I wanted to control the positions and lead everything
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: until I got comfortable watching him with another woman. We
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: started off the weekend like we were at a resort. Now,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: hell is the most shocking line in the whole damn
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: letter For me, I got a tratutary. What the hell
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: is that? Oh, that's the most amazing thing. I got
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: a tratutory board and caviare and put three fixtakes on
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: the grilly. This is the most shocking line. Why don't
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: we term about this fault? So this is about a threesome.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: Nobody give a damn what you eat hot to give
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: a damn But they got these tra trudory boards at Kroger.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: You go down there by one of them got a
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: little cold cut on a little saliment. No nobody to
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: eat salimic bis damn self less. It's on a pizza.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: You can cut it all up next to some damn cheese,
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: cut up next to it. What we fitn't have a threesome?
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: Body give a damn what you got on this snap track?
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: This was the and then put put three big steaks
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: on the grill. Now here we go. Now back to
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: the letter. We enjoyed our hot tub and pull together.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: My husband massage just both in the bedroom with things
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: got a little side. When the intimacy started, he was
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: focused on her and ignored my request. They were next
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: to me whispering to each other intimately, and when he
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: finally got to me, the only whisper he gave me
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: to tell me you ruined and the like you're blowing
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: it with all these damn instructures. Shut your damn mouth.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: You're talking too much. That isn't what this is, baby.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: All these traits do that sit over here to touch
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: this right head, stand up, get up right here. Crawl
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: over here, now, crawled back over that. Swim act like
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: you swimming. Then lay down on your back backstroke. Now,
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: put your tones up on the ear. Put your toe
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: on your air. I can't put my toe on my
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: damn you hold on. Put your knee get put your
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: knee on your breath. I can't put my kneel for mother,
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: the damn instructures. I was stunned. When it was over,
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: she decided to go home, and my husband got up
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: upset with me. I tried calling her to fix things.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: She's not returning my call. Have they shut me out?
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: Is he really mad because I tried to lead her?
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: Because he wants the other chick? What the hell? How
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: stupid are you? Lady? Lady? First of all, let me
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: give you some facts. The reason they don't want you
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: to lead, it's because you can't try this. It's your
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: first threesome. You passing out instructures that's not in the
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: threesome law book. And you ain't never been in the threesome,
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: so you don't know you're passing out instructures. Now here's
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: what you don't know. The reason they know you was
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: breaking the rules is because they haven't done a threesome before.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: Why would this lady want to introduce you intoday's sex capage?
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: He said, Now, don't think she gonna go for it
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: right now. So she hadn't bought another chicken. Now, they
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: hadn't done it before. Now you're just in that talking
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: all this damn talking. It ain't o time. What is
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: you talking for? You're supposed to be watching and encouraging.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: Don't do that. That's too far back. Don't push your
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: leg way over there? What did you doing? I got this?
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: You can't drive. They've had threesomes before. Yes, he wants
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: the other chick back because they know how to do
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: threesomes in everything else. Hit us up on Instagram and
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: Steve Harvey you have them to comment on today's Strawberry Letter.

- 1:06:19Speaker 1: Sports Talk right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: All right, Junior is back. It is time for sports talk.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: What you got Junior? All right, Shirley, But first, let
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: me just tell you April Fools comedy jam and you
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: heard him earlier today me Earthquake, Bill Bellamy, Bruce Bruce
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: gonna be live in Dallas at the Texas Trust Theater.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: Get your tickets at ticketmaster dot com. April fools, April first,
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: that's what we're gonna be at. But right now, Sports Talk, Shirley,
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: I'm just tell you right now, up Tommy, I'm just
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: say Over the weekend, James Harden debuted over in Philly.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: He had a great showing. He had twenty seven twelve
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: assists and um, you know, uh, congratulations James. I'm always
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: gonna be a hater at this point because you left
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: the Rockets. Uh. Who everybody left the Rockets? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: I know, everybody leave the Rockets. Yeah yeah. PJ Tooker
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: got a ring. Yeah, everybody leave us and go get
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: a ring. Kyle Lory left us and got a ring.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: That's my point. So James, congratulations you made it to Philly.
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: Uh Uh. Did you know this though? Did you know
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: that Keith Cleveland Cavaliers is number four in the East, fool? Yeah, Well,
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: the Rockets is dead last in the West. You don't
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: get on the Waty box at Folk, nobody mentioned fourth placed.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: If you vote at the Olympics. Guess what, your ass
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: ain't on the metal State. You didn't even get a
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: damn bronze. So I don't want to vote. I'm just
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: I'm just saved. You you fo from East. You you're
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: in the playoffs. The Rockets, on the other hand, is
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: dead last. You know what. I'm tired of people leaving
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: us in Houston and going in well to make Magic happy.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: I was mad when the Oilers lived. I was mad. Yeah,
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: I'm mad. Everybody leave usn't do better. Oilers when I
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: was rooting for, never went to a Super Bowl. Soon
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: they turned themselves to the Tennessee Titans. They go to
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: the city. You know why, Why because the Houston, one
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: of my favorite cities, is a transient city. Very few
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: people are born in Houston. Houston was born after the seventies.
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: That was that big rush. Everybody went out there, say
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: nobody loyal to Houston. What did your favorite? I'm mad
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: when Warren More left. I'm mad at war If I
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: see Warre Mooman put him down. He left host Yeah,
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: but he left us. I'm mad everybody leave Houston. That's difficult.
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: Be mad. Be mad at the owners, Junior, don't be
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: mad at the player. No no, no, no, no no.
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: I don't know the owners. I know the players. That's
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: why all y'all, all, y'all left Houston. Befolk tell you
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: the truth. Everybody on this show. Oh okay, then left Houston.
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: Excuse me, y'all went to where the money was. Snap
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: crack o pop. Oh that's what you're gonna do. You'll
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: bring that, ain't y'all for Houston? Wow? Wow, I don't
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: play that ago. Thank you? Where you junior. We'll have

- 1:14:33Speaker 1: strategy to help communities across the country live with a
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: coronavirus and get back to some version of normal normal life. Okay.
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: The CDC now suggests that seventy percent of Americans. Seventy
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: percent of Americans can stop wearing masks, and they don't
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: need to social distance or avoid crowded spaces. The additional
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: twenty eight percent of Americans who live in areas that
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: still have high COVID ainteen levels are still advised to
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: wear your mask endured. Does anybody know what areas those out?
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: Not where we live everywhere. I hardly I got mask.
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: Be my luck. I run up into the twenty eight percent. Yeah,
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: I are loosely people wearing masks now when you go out,
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: I have mine on. I'm not saying I enjoy the mask,
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: because I don't, but they're very helpful for me when
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: I do go out in public, because I put on
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: a hat or hooded, some glasses and that math I
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: actually walk around. So it's a disguise for you. Oh man,
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: it's like a heaven sent every now and then people
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: are gonna Steve, what's up? Yeah, I gonna damn bro,
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: I got on mask. Oh man, I know your walk
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: hit the one that got me. I went to the
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: golf store a couple of weeks ago. Hey, Steve, what's up?
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: Damn bro? I got on the mask. He don't, he said,
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: what you drive? You put a mask on that? Yeah?
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: All right, we'll love more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: Show coming up at thirty three minutes after. We'll play
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: a round of would you rather? Right after this. You're
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: listening to Harvey Morning Show. Time now for a round
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: of would you rather? Would you rather live with ten
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: small dogs? Or would you rather live with ten toddlers?
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: Give me the dogs? Why them dogs? Yeah, I'm not
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: changing that many pampas. I'm not doing five of them
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: go at the same time. I ain't got time for
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: that one big pail. Let me put this food in there.
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: I can walk away here. Let me do that. But Steve,
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: we have not heard from you. I'm not staying with
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: no ten toddlers. You got seven keys already. I can't
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: chase after the many people, all these steps in this
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: damn house. Stop get out, put that back. What you're
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: doing over that? Don't touch that? Why don't you put
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: your crying fall? Stop hitting him? Get over here. No,
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: we ain't got no more. Stop eating that. Don't eat
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: put that out your mouth, put your hand in that
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: socket if you want to. No, I'm quit crawling on
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: the what is you picking up off the flow? Fall?
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: Lay down? Get out the floe, lay down, don't climb
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: on that. No more exhausted first, y'all. I'm done and
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: you'll say all that in fifteen minutes. Yeah a minute? No? No?
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: All right, all right, let's go. Would you rather wear
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: no socks for six months or no underwear for six months? Socks?
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: I'm wearing shoes though, right walking on the ground, seeing
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: my job, in my job, and be hard. No socks
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: because man, I've got to stand draws too much. But
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: I guess I'm gonna have to go with the no socks.
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to, but I'm gonna have to buy
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: that old fashioned as footpot of that cake up so
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: I can feel like I got a sock on in that.
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: But if I try to do my job in front
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: of all these people with no draws on, I can
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: tell you right now it's gonna be a full blown situation.
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: I'm on the internet every day ready to love is over? Yeah,
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: because it looked like you always ready, you are always scuty.
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: I'm talking about man, he'd be cutting on. Well, well,
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: let's cut on family few. See what's side he on today?
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: See what's side here? No, you didn't, Steve. You don't
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: got the families over there. You never know what's gonna be.
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: And I know how to tell my jokes and Steak
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: keep working all right? Coming up, geez, thank you. I
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: guess he didn't like that answer. Coming up forty nine minutes,
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: we'll have some closing remarks from the one and only
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: Steve Harvey right after this her he by the turn
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: the colonel. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys,
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: here we are last break of the day on this Monday.
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: Before we get out of here, we got to say
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: thanks to the legendary earthquake Earth. Yes, today is Netflix
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: Special airs tonight on Netflix, of course, produced presented by
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: Dave Chappelle. And I mean, finally an overnight sensation. He said,
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: after thirty years, thirty years in the game, they'll never
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: give up on your dreams, never quakes, living proof. It's
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: love you ungratulations Qua Yeah, yeah, uh, you know, I
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: was thinking about everything that's going on in the world,
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: you know, I mean, it's just so much going on
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: and there's so much, so many things happening that the
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: new news causes you to pause on the old news
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: and I've discovered something. It's an amazing trick they use.
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: It's almost like a diversion, and they use news stories
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: to create a diversion. So now everybody the latest thing
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: is the Russians attacking the Ukraine. A minute ago, I
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: thought it was the Rioters, I mean the Capitol building,
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: but then I thought it was about us with voting
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: rights acts. But then they did what they usually do
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: with us. They rescinded the Voting Rights Act again. And
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: it just goes on and on and on, and you
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: forget that people are fighting for some basics like food,
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: like education. You forget that we have a drug epidemic
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: in this country that we still have not addressed. That
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: the United States has more drug addicts in it than
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: anywhere else in the world. The United States purchases more
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: drugs than anybody else in the world. The United States
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: leads the world in prescription drugs sales, America leads the
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: world and incarceration, and we all know who that is.
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: So as we look at all these new stories that
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: come out that divertiye At tension, which is almost how
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: we almost never get anything solved around here, because every
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: time we get close to passing the law, voting on
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: something that's important to us, something else happens around the
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: world or to us, and the attention goes there, and
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: then the enthusiasm and the rush dies down, and things
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: go on and on and on, and the beat goes
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: on and on and on, just like it always has,
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: like it always did before. You know, the thing that
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: keeps me centered in all of this, what keeps me
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: in the center of the hurricane. I reside in the
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: eye of the hurricane, where there's very little wind, there's peace,
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: there's tranquility, and I'm not caught up in the sword
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: world that is the tornado. See when the tornado comes through,
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: I should say the eye of the tornado. I sit
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: in the eye of the tornado because the world that's
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: swirling around me everything, I get to sit in the
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: eye and watch it for the most part. Well, Steve,
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: how you do that? Because I got a relationship with
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: my heavenly Father who gives me peace, an abiding peace,
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: not fun. I said peace. See a lot of people
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: confuse that what is peace? Well, peace to me is
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: joy is that I have lied. I have found how
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: to find joy in the middle of my troubles and
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: hardships because I know for a fact that this too
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: shall pass. I know for a fact that this adversity
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: that I'm going through is preparing me for something that
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: I ask God for. I know it because I've seen
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: it happen over and over and over again. So even
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: when I'm getting tossed, even when I'm being talked about,
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: even when it seems like it's going all wrong, I
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: managed to have peace, a certain amount of joy that
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: I hang on to because I have a relationship with
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: my heavenly Father that allows me to be still, hold
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: my peace, let him fight my battles. Oh, I can't
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: count the times I've wanted to say something. Oh. I
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: can't tell you how many times I wanted to straighten
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: some people out. Oh. I can't count the times when
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: I knew the real facts and I allowed the lies
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: to be told. Can't you say that, y'all? Don't you
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: know how many times you've known the truth about you
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: in spite of what they were saying. Do you know
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: how many times you knew the real deal when they
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: was explaining it in the other deal that you wanted
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: to say something that could have straightened it all out,
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: but you didn't because you didn't have to. Because he
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: fights my battles, he holds my peace. So as the
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: swirld goes on around me in this world and they
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: say you ain't gonna get this, you ain't gonna get that,
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: I look up and I realize I have everything that
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: I've not been denied anything in my life. And it
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: didn't matter what nobody said. That same piece, that same
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: joy is available to you. That relationship with God can
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: be yours. All you got to do is open up
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: your heart and accept him. Just say, hey, come into
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: my life. I accept you. I believe even you. I
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: need your help today because I can't do this by myself.
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: Just say it. Try. I dare you. I bet your
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: life a star going better. Bet what you bet. Try.
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: Those are my closing remarks to day. Hope it helps somebody. Hey, listen,
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: y'all talk to God. He'd love to hear from your Kate.
