- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time. I
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a giving them like the million
- 0:16Speaker 1: buck things in the stubbing me through. Good together, Please,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join jo turning you you gotta turn to
- 1:41Speaker 1: turn them out. Turn you haven't got the turnout? Then
- 1:46Speaker 1: turn the water the water got come come on your thing?
- 2:01Speaker 1: Uh huh. I shall will a good morning everybody. You're
- 2:06Speaker 1: listening to the voice, come on dig me now, one
- 2:08Speaker 1: and all is Steve Harvey got a radio show. Okay,
- 2:12Speaker 1: today is simple. I want to tell you. I want
- 2:18Speaker 1: to just talk to you about effort today. Just about effort.
- 2:25Speaker 1: You know, it's it's it's it's a word that people
- 2:28Speaker 1: use to describe sometimes trying. But what I found out
- 2:34Speaker 1: about trying is trying is just a noble way of
- 2:38Speaker 1: saying you didn't get it done. I tried when and
- 2:43Speaker 1: then everybody go, well, he tried, that was the best.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Well that's that's not exactly true though, that that's that's
- 2:51Speaker 1: not exactly true, you all. And I want to talk
- 2:55Speaker 1: to you about that because I don't want you to
- 2:57Speaker 1: be one of the people who just tried. See trying.
- 3:03Speaker 1: I mean, I gotta tell you to attempt something, You're
- 3:06Speaker 1: gonna have to first try, But I want you to
- 3:10Speaker 1: change your mindset from trying to getting it done. See,
- 3:16Speaker 1: that's a big difference. I'm really more apt to listen
- 3:19Speaker 1: to the person that says to me, I'm gonna get
- 3:21Speaker 1: it done. I'm gonna try. What try does is it
- 3:25Speaker 1: allows you to fail. It's the person that has the
- 3:28Speaker 1: mindset that I'm gonna get it done is the person
- 3:32Speaker 1: who changes the complexion of things. I'm gonna get it done.
- 3:36Speaker 1: It's very different than I'm gonna try. You know, Look, man,
- 3:40Speaker 1: I know, I know this sounds a little harsh, but
- 3:43Speaker 1: you gotta stop feeding yourself these little old wise sayings
- 3:47Speaker 1: that ain't it was a valiant tribe. Hey man, you
- 3:51Speaker 1: talk to anybody that took second place in the super
- 3:55Speaker 1: Bowl and see how they feel about their valiant try.
- 3:58Speaker 1: The only way to gain God's real blessings is you
- 4:05Speaker 1: have to try something. Stevie backpedaling. Now, listen to me close.
- 4:13Speaker 1: You have to put forth an effort to allow God
- 4:20Speaker 1: to put his finger on something to bless on your behalf.
- 4:25Speaker 1: You must start to attempt, now, insane getting it done,
- 4:30Speaker 1: And I'm gonna try. That's a different of two different
- 4:34Speaker 1: faiths to me that I'm just talking about me. Now,
- 4:38Speaker 1: you may be different, so I can't. I can't say
- 4:40Speaker 1: this about you, but I can't say this about me.
- 4:44Speaker 1: If I say I'm gonna get it done, I have
- 4:48Speaker 1: a lot of faith in it. I am going to
- 4:53Speaker 1: get it done because I just don't see failure as
- 4:56Speaker 1: an option. A lot of times now if somebody says
- 4:59Speaker 1: to me, like the Olympic team invited me out to
- 5:03Speaker 1: curl one day, which is throw these stones on the ice.
- 5:06Speaker 1: If you're not familiar with it's very simple, and so
- 5:09Speaker 1: I said, man, I'd like to give that a try.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I went in full well knowing I may not come
- 5:19Speaker 1: away from this little curling lesson as a person who
- 5:25Speaker 1: could make the Olympic team. I just wanted to try
- 5:27Speaker 1: it because I thought it looked cool and always wanted
- 5:30Speaker 1: to get it done. Well. I failed twice. I threw
- 5:33Speaker 1: a stone completely into the other lane. I lost that
- 5:38Speaker 1: little ice shoe it shot out under me. But you
- 5:41Speaker 1: know what, I kept trying though. I kept trying until
- 5:46Speaker 1: I got four of them stones in that circle right
- 5:49Speaker 1: where I ain't But now had I give it up
- 5:53Speaker 1: after I failed, after I threw that stone in the
- 5:56Speaker 1: other lane after I shot my shoe down all the
- 5:59Speaker 1: way to the bottom side, the little ice shoe they
- 6:01Speaker 1: give you. I never would did it, But because I
- 6:05Speaker 1: was trying. Something got me together a little bit because
- 6:09Speaker 1: of my effort, and it caused me not to fall
- 6:12Speaker 1: the next time, not to throw it into other lane,
- 6:15Speaker 1: not to shoot my shoe to the back of the wall.
- 6:18Speaker 1: All of a sudden, my trying became something. Now had
- 6:22Speaker 1: I stayed out there and it wasn't so cold, and
- 6:25Speaker 1: I went back week after week after week after week,
- 6:29Speaker 1: I promise you I could get it done. I could
- 6:34Speaker 1: at least know how to compete in a game of curling.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Might not be the best. I might not win the championship,
- 6:41Speaker 1: but I could have got it done to the point
- 6:43Speaker 1: where I could have competed in the game of curling.
- 6:46Speaker 1: So sometimes if you're scared to say I'm gonna get
- 6:49Speaker 1: it done, just go out there and get started. You know,
- 6:53Speaker 1: learn from every attempt that you make. See, don't quit
- 6:57Speaker 1: writing yourself off as a failure every time time something
- 7:00Speaker 1: don't go right. And when I failed on that ice,
- 7:03Speaker 1: I could have said, man, I can't curl, but hold up, man,
- 7:05Speaker 1: I'm watching four other women out here curl for other dudes.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Out hit curling, little kids, out hit curling. Hold up, Pardner,
- 7:12Speaker 1: You know, man, So I learned when I threw that
- 7:15Speaker 1: stone on the other ice, when I when I fail,
- 7:17Speaker 1: when when my shoe shot off, I learned from every
- 7:21Speaker 1: attempt a little bit more about it. And then I
- 7:26Speaker 1: said to myself at one point time, man, I'm gonna
- 7:29Speaker 1: get this stone in that circle. I'm gonna get this
- 7:32Speaker 1: stone in this circle. And guess what I got it done.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Now what you're saying to me, Steve, I'm saying to
- 7:40Speaker 1: you that you gotta get started, that you gotta put
- 7:43Speaker 1: forth an effort. Give God something to bless. Oh God,
- 7:46Speaker 1: bless me, Oh God, bless me. Bless you? What? Bless you? Where?
- 7:51Speaker 1: Bless you? How? Stop basing your results on what you're thinking.
- 7:55Speaker 1: You gotta think higher. You get God in your life, man,
- 7:59Speaker 1: He allows you to think higher, bigger, better more. I'm
- 8:04Speaker 1: sitting up in my debt. I came up with a
- 8:06Speaker 1: plan to get out of debt in five years. I
- 8:08Speaker 1: came up with this plan right, I was sitting up
- 8:11Speaker 1: and I was tripping on it. Now, I said, wait
- 8:13Speaker 1: a minute, man, hold up. This is what I came
- 8:16Speaker 1: up with. I said, God created heaven and earth, all
- 8:21Speaker 1: of it, the mountains, the sky, the valleys, the oceans, trees,
- 8:27Speaker 1: the birds, the Indian Ocean, all of it, made all
- 8:31Speaker 1: of it in six days, and then he rested on
- 8:36Speaker 1: the seven. So why am I taking to God the
- 8:41Speaker 1: five year plan? If he can create heaven and Earth
- 8:46Speaker 1: in six days, why am I walking in there talking
- 8:49Speaker 1: about helped me in five years? How is it gonna
- 8:53Speaker 1: take God five years to getting me out of debt?
- 8:57Speaker 1: And he made heaven and Earth in six days? Dude,
- 9:00Speaker 1: the math hill man, I ain't that big. You ain't
- 9:04Speaker 1: that big. You ain't in that much trouble. I ain't
- 9:07Speaker 1: in that much trouble. See, God got a way of
- 9:10Speaker 1: showing you some things, man, but it's gonna take some faith,
- 9:13Speaker 1: and faith gonna take some effort on your part. Man,
- 9:16Speaker 1: get out and do something. Man, you God will bless
- 9:19Speaker 1: you a little bit and he give you a little
- 9:20Speaker 1: bit more courage. And then all them attempts you making
- 9:23Speaker 1: is gonna and all that. So I'll try you know
- 9:25Speaker 1: what that turn into. I'm gonna get it done. And
- 9:28Speaker 1: at the end of the day, that's what you have
- 9:30Speaker 1: to do because trying to pay your rent and not
- 9:33Speaker 1: paying your rent, it's two different things. You can try
- 9:37Speaker 1: to play or pay your rent, or you can get
- 9:39Speaker 1: it done. Now, how long you think you're gonna stay
- 9:41Speaker 1: in that house trying? You got to go with the
- 9:44Speaker 1: mindset of getting it done. And if you can put
- 9:46Speaker 1: some stuff out there and give God a chance to
- 9:48Speaker 1: put his finger on it and bless it for you
- 9:50Speaker 1: the most stuff he can do for you, quit looking
- 9:52Speaker 1: around what everybody else got and gonna get some of
- 9:54Speaker 1: it for yourself. Okay, all right, you're listening show, ladies
- 10:02Speaker 1: and gentlemen, let's be about it. Let's get with it.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Come on now, it's time to get it. Steve Harvey
- 10:08Speaker 1: Marley shows us what we're talking about now. So here's
- 10:11Speaker 1: a deal. Let me make it perfectly clear. Gratitude. If
- 10:15Speaker 1: you start your day with gratitude, there is no better
- 10:18Speaker 1: way than to say thank you. Once you introduce gratitude,
- 10:22Speaker 1: you have now affected your mental attitude. And Lord Hammers,
- 10:27Speaker 1: once your attitude is right it, it's in direct correlation
- 10:31Speaker 1: to your altitude. You get them tudes lined up. Boy,
- 10:35Speaker 1: you can be something. You better believe that, Sirley Strawberry
- 10:38Speaker 1: believes that Colin for real knows that the mouth at
- 10:41Speaker 1: a soft knows that Junior knows that the legend that
- 10:45Speaker 1: is Nephew Tommy in the all darkness knows that, and
- 10:50Speaker 1: it is do I, junior man. Because you talk about
- 10:57Speaker 1: wanting something out of life, man, it's stout sacrificing and
- 11:02Speaker 1: discipline to get to where you want to go. Is
- 11:05Speaker 1: that it don't go hand in hand. Well, Sacrifice and
- 11:08Speaker 1: discipline is different, and a lot of people get them confused,
- 11:13Speaker 1: and they think if they're sacrificing, that they're being disciplined,
- 11:16Speaker 1: and some people think if they're being disciplined, they're sacrificing.
- 11:20Speaker 1: It's not the case. It's two separate requirements. Bishop Jakes
- 11:25Speaker 1: was talking one day and he said that when you
- 11:29Speaker 1: dream and aspire to something, and you look up at
- 11:33Speaker 1: your dreams and aspirations, you're looking through a glass ceiling,
- 11:38Speaker 1: and in order to get to those dreams and aspirations,
- 11:42Speaker 1: you will have to break through the glass ceiling. In
- 11:46Speaker 1: breaking through glass, there's going to be some cuts, and
- 11:51Speaker 1: there's going to be bloodshed, and the blood that you're
- 11:55Speaker 1: shedding is usually something that you care about. That is sacrifice.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Discipline is doing what you have to do even when
- 12:08Speaker 1: you don't want to. Man and understanding discipline, it's a
- 12:14Speaker 1: hard lesson to teach your children about discipline. Discipline is
- 12:18Speaker 1: doing what you have to do even when you don't
- 12:21Speaker 1: want to. How many people are listening to this shoulders
- 12:24Speaker 1: one getting ready to go to a job that you
- 12:27Speaker 1: may not really want to, but guess what you know
- 12:31Speaker 1: you have to. That's discipline. I don't want to get
- 12:37Speaker 1: these kids ready for school and fix their lunch and
- 12:40Speaker 1: all this here. I won't do that this morning, but
- 12:43Speaker 1: I have to. That's discipline. Sacrifice is hard, man, because
- 12:52Speaker 1: you don't want to give up something to get something else. See,
- 12:56Speaker 1: people have a tendency to want to hold on to everything.
- 13:00Speaker 1: But the ain't no room in the closed fist. There's
- 13:03Speaker 1: only room in the open fist. And when you open
- 13:05Speaker 1: it fish someone can get out. But that's the only
- 13:07Speaker 1: way for mo to get in. And that's the decision.
- 13:10Speaker 1: That's the glass ceiling that you got to bake breakthrough,
- 13:13Speaker 1: and that's the cuts that you got to take, And
- 13:15Speaker 1: that's the sacrifice you have to make. Lord him, Miss
- 13:18Speaker 1: You've better ask this boy something like you like you
- 13:20Speaker 1: sent it to me in a TEXTA something all right,
- 13:24Speaker 1: God baby cutting me in this hill, life, boy, I
- 13:27Speaker 1: nobody's hill. I ain't got to think about this year.
- 13:31Speaker 1: That's the vibe right there, Steve. All right, coming up
- 13:33Speaker 1: at thirty two minutes after the hour, the nephew is
- 13:36Speaker 1: in the building. We can't see him, but he is here.
- 13:38Speaker 1: We promise you he's here. Run that brank back with
- 13:41Speaker 1: the nephew. It's coming up right after this. You're listening
- 13:45Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, it it's time
- 13:48Speaker 1: now to start your morning off with the nephew and
- 13:50Speaker 1: run that frank back. What you got for his nap?
- 13:53Speaker 1: Be light? This is what I let a candle burn
- 13:58Speaker 1: one of my candles. You really thank you? Sex here
- 14:03Speaker 1: you're about to burn your face. I got pretty damn closed.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Yes you did something. He come across my eyebrow. You
- 14:12Speaker 1: bury your hot brow. You're talking about a holly. I
- 14:19Speaker 1: have to get it tattooed. What you got now? I
- 14:24Speaker 1: got hot checks at the church, hot checks at the church.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Cat dog, if you would hello, Hello, I'm trying to
- 14:34Speaker 1: reach a Monica system. Monica. Please, this is brother de Sean.
- 14:40Speaker 1: I'm calling. Actually I'm a member Greater Commissionary Baptist Church.
- 14:44Speaker 1: How can I help you? Calling you actually about the offering? Now?
- 14:47Speaker 1: Did you I know you paid your ties Sunday? Okay,
- 14:51Speaker 1: Now you paid a love offering as well? Right, yes,
- 14:54Speaker 1: I do? Okay, Now this past Sunday, I'm looking at
- 14:58Speaker 1: a check that you left us with the bank, right, right,
- 15:02Speaker 1: I sure did. I wrote a check Sunday. Okay. Now
- 15:04Speaker 1: the check, ma'am was two hundred and fifty dollars? Am
- 15:09Speaker 1: I correct? Right? Right? I wrote two checks for my
- 15:11Speaker 1: ties and the love offering? Right? I wrote one for
- 15:14Speaker 1: two fifty for the love offering? Okay? Now what is
- 15:17Speaker 1: this call regarding? Why are you calling me? Well, what
- 15:20Speaker 1: I wanted to tell you is that I hate to
- 15:22Speaker 1: be a bar of bad news, but you your check
- 15:25Speaker 1: that you wrote for two fifty actually has bounced. And
- 15:30Speaker 1: wait a minute, you said my check bounce for two
- 15:32Speaker 1: hundred and fifty dollars. Your check bounce. So what I'm
- 15:35Speaker 1: doing is calling you about recouping the two fifty as
- 15:38Speaker 1: well as you know you you cost us thirty dollars
- 15:43Speaker 1: in bank fees. But wait a minute, now I wrote
- 15:45Speaker 1: two checks. I wrote a check for one hundred dollars.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Did that one bounce? I don't see to it that
- 15:50Speaker 1: that that one bounced up. All I know is the
- 15:52Speaker 1: one that the love offering has bounced. What did you
- 15:54Speaker 1: put them in at the same time? Because I wrote
- 15:56Speaker 1: him at the same time. They all go in on Monday, ma'am.
- 16:00Speaker 1: I didn't put them in at the same time. I've
- 16:01Speaker 1: been putting them in for the last two three years.
- 16:03Speaker 1: The problem is why would people write that what is
- 16:06Speaker 1: your name? M brother Deshaun? And at Sunday I was.
- 16:10Speaker 1: I don't think it matters. And when I was there, man,
- 16:12Speaker 1: the problem is it that I didn't put these checks in.
- 16:14Speaker 1: And I don't understand why y'all write these checks to
- 16:17Speaker 1: the tracks none that they're gonna because a lot of
- 16:20Speaker 1: people write that good well not bad checks. One clear?
- 16:24Speaker 1: Why the other one didn't clear? Maybe you didn't have
- 16:26Speaker 1: enough money for both of them to clear. What what
- 16:30Speaker 1: did you just say? Maybe you didn't have enough money
- 16:32Speaker 1: in the bank for both of them to clear. I
- 16:33Speaker 1: don't understand why people write the planning money in the
- 16:36Speaker 1: bank at all? My checks clear. I don't write no
- 16:39Speaker 1: rubber checks. Well, you wrote one on Sunday, and that's
- 16:42Speaker 1: the problem. How you gonna try to give a look
- 16:44Speaker 1: you wait a minute. I think you got me confused
- 16:46Speaker 1: with somebody else. I don't write no bad checks. You
- 16:49Speaker 1: didn't wrote that to be nice to you. I'm trying
- 16:51Speaker 1: to be nice to you. Win up. Can we expect
- 16:52Speaker 1: the two fifty plus the thirty dollars? So wears that's
- 16:56Speaker 1: the bank feeds man for the doll gonna check bouncing.
- 17:00Speaker 1: My check didn't bounce. I don't check my bank. And
- 17:02Speaker 1: if my check clear, you're gonna pay me thirty dollars
- 17:05Speaker 1: for calling me harassing me about a two hundred and
- 17:07Speaker 1: fifty dollar check bounce. I don't write no Why would
- 17:11Speaker 1: you write check? What you want to sit up in
- 17:12Speaker 1: the church and write these big number checks when you
- 17:14Speaker 1: know you ain't got it in the bank. What did
- 17:17Speaker 1: you say? I said, why would you write these checks
- 17:20Speaker 1: when the money ain't in? Now? Let me tell you
- 17:23Speaker 1: it's one thing. I don't write no bad checks. And
- 17:26Speaker 1: you got a lot nerds calling me telling me my
- 17:28Speaker 1: check bounce. Yo check is the one that has bounced.
- 17:31Speaker 1: And you tell you what you do since my check bounce,
- 17:34Speaker 1: you paid them, since you got all the money, and
- 17:36Speaker 1: don't call me with this again. Hello, don't you hang
- 17:42Speaker 1: upon me no more? When don't we gonna get this
- 17:44Speaker 1: two fifty and this thirty dollars? Somebody from the church
- 17:49Speaker 1: toll my I wrote a bad check. I'll write no,
- 17:51Speaker 1: you didn't write a bad check. I didn't write no
- 17:54Speaker 1: bad yes, dat? Why are you calling me? Why the treasure?
- 17:58Speaker 1: Don't call me at church as bis? I ain't never
- 18:01Speaker 1: know the deacon called nobody about no bad check? You're
- 18:04Speaker 1: Fullet thank you? You got the money I ain't got.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Who in the hell is that in the background? Who
- 18:12Speaker 1: is that? Ever? Mine? Who it is? We're both gonna
- 18:14Speaker 1: to the same church, and you're gonna call me to
- 18:16Speaker 1: my I wrote a bad checks? You don't you call
- 18:18Speaker 1: me no more? And if the check bads, you paid? Okay?
- 18:22Speaker 1: Keep passed to know you talking like this? Do pass to?
- 18:25Speaker 1: No you calling me? Can you ask for that? Look?
- 18:28Speaker 1: When are we gonna get this two hundred and eighty dollars?
- 18:30Speaker 1: Is what we're looking for from you? I wrote a
- 18:32Speaker 1: check for two fifty and not get two eighty. You
- 18:36Speaker 1: put the thirty dollars with it. You put two fifty
- 18:38Speaker 1: in there. It bounced. Thirty dollars cost us on bake fees.
- 18:42Speaker 1: That's two eighty. Where can the church expect the money?
- 18:46Speaker 1: Never not no two eighty. You will never get to eighty.
- 18:49Speaker 1: You're gonna make me come by your and my checked in.
- 18:51Speaker 1: But what did you say? I'm gonna do what. You're
- 18:53Speaker 1: gonna make me come by your house and get this money?
- 18:55Speaker 1: Bring it, bring it, bring you what is the address? Check? Check?
- 19:01Speaker 1: I got it off the check. I bet you you'll
- 19:04Speaker 1: be limping back and I'm watching you. You bet not
- 19:07Speaker 1: be spending no money nowhere. You bet not spend nothing
- 19:10Speaker 1: until I get this two fifty from plus thirty whatever
- 19:12Speaker 1: I want to Okay, no, you you know what I am.
- 19:15Speaker 1: And you don't call me no more with this because
- 19:18Speaker 1: my check did not bounce. I don't see how one
- 19:21Speaker 1: check went through and the other bounce. Let me say
- 19:23Speaker 1: this to you, we cannot accept you back into the
- 19:26Speaker 1: House of the Lord no more until you are not
- 19:29Speaker 1: don't you come in the Sunday until we get coming
- 19:31Speaker 1: up in the Sunday, And I'm gonna make sure I
- 19:34Speaker 1: find your because you the person I want to see you.
- 19:38Speaker 1: And you know what, I'm gonna call the pastor right
- 19:40Speaker 1: now and asked him because I don't believe my check
- 19:42Speaker 1: bounce you fully? What? Let me say this before you
- 19:45Speaker 1: called pastor? I got no, I'm anna called pastor. No,
- 19:47Speaker 1: you should have talked with pastor before you call me
- 19:50Speaker 1: with this information. I got one more thing I need
- 19:52Speaker 1: to say to you. Ain't got nothing to say to me.
- 19:54Speaker 1: You don't upset me with this I'm talking about I
- 19:57Speaker 1: bounced a check. You should have went to passer before
- 19:59Speaker 1: you call me. With you, I talk past the one
- 20:02Speaker 1: I got, But I got one more thing to say
- 20:04Speaker 1: before I leave that you're listening. What are you about
- 20:06Speaker 1: to say to me? What do you have to say
- 20:08Speaker 1: now that you're gonna pay the check? This is Nephew
- 20:11Speaker 1: Timing from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got
- 20:15Speaker 1: pranked by your girlfriend. What did you say? What did
- 20:22Speaker 1: you say? I'd say? This is Nephew tim me, baby,
- 20:24Speaker 1: bro the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Your girlfriend has pranked you.
- 20:29Speaker 1: I'm gonna beat that. She's just left him. Find out
- 20:33Speaker 1: to her. She didn't let me ask you one more
- 20:39Speaker 1: thing though, baby? What is the baddest radio show in
- 20:43Speaker 1: the land, The Steve Harvey Morning All Right, Nephew, thank you.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Coming up next is the clo with the Chief Love
- 20:56Speaker 1: Officer Steve Harvey in the building ready for your love
- 20:59Speaker 1: question right after this. You're listening to the show coming
- 21:04Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour and entertainment news
- 21:08Speaker 1: actor Terrence Howard's brilliant. Let me just say that he
- 21:14Speaker 1: claims to have invented hydrogen technology that could defend Uganda,
- 21:20Speaker 1: and we'll talk about it. We'll talk about it. And
- 21:22Speaker 1: in other entertainment news, gospel music singer Kim Burrell as
- 21:27Speaker 1: apologized after facing backlash for her recent remarks at a church.
- 21:31Speaker 1: We will talk about these stories, like I said at
- 21:33Speaker 1: the top of the hour, But right now, it is
- 21:35Speaker 1: time to ask Lucia about Lucia's Live for the Hour
- 21:42Speaker 1: and get ready for it, all right, if you're not ready,
- 21:45Speaker 1: you are not ready for this one. It's time to
- 21:47Speaker 1: ask the cello. Chief Love Officer with Steve Harvey is
- 21:50Speaker 1: ready for your questions, Okay, Corey and Memphis writes, I
- 21:54Speaker 1: have a co worker that is having an affair on
- 21:56Speaker 1: her husband, and I let her use me as an
- 21:59Speaker 1: alibi since she's given her husband my phone number. He's
- 22:02Speaker 1: called to ask about me, not her. He wants to
- 22:06Speaker 1: get to know more about me. I enjoy our talks.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Since she doesn't want him, should I see what he
- 22:11Speaker 1: has to offer me? All right, obviously that's what you're
- 22:16Speaker 1: gonna do right now. Is she married Corey? No, Corey's
- 22:25Speaker 1: it doesn't sound like she didn't say she's not married.
- 22:27Speaker 1: We're gonna assume she's not the person that wrote the letter. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 22:33Speaker 1: See I'm not married. Just noticed right here. Until they
- 22:39Speaker 1: get separated or divorced, they still married. So you got
- 22:44Speaker 1: to weigh out the fact that you want to be
- 22:46Speaker 1: in that because that's what you're gonna be in. And
- 22:50Speaker 1: then if your friend find out, you already know what
- 22:56Speaker 1: that's him to be, so he just got to weigh
- 22:59Speaker 1: it out. You can be like, well, you gave him
- 23:01Speaker 1: my phone number. Yeah, technically you shouldn't. But that ain't
- 23:06Speaker 1: how we live. That ain't the world we live in.
- 23:08Speaker 1: That's right, That's right, all right. Moving on to page
- 23:12Speaker 1: in Orlando, Paige says, my next door neighbors argue all night,
- 23:16Speaker 1: and I beat on the wall the other night to
- 23:18Speaker 1: get them to settle down. Their teenage daughter saw me
- 23:21Speaker 1: in the hallway and she said that I hit her
- 23:25Speaker 1: bedroom wall, and if I did it again, she beat mine.
- 23:28Speaker 1: You know what should I tell her parents how she
- 23:31Speaker 1: talked to me? Or should I just leave it alone? No,
- 23:34Speaker 1: just leave it alone, because here's a problem. You live
- 23:37Speaker 1: next door to a house full of ignorant people. Yea,
- 23:43Speaker 1: the daughter is repeating stuff she's heard. The parents say,
- 23:47Speaker 1: oh thanks, this is a volatile household. Leave it alone
- 23:52Speaker 1: because now they gonna turn that. Ain't gonna on you
- 23:56Speaker 1: for messing with their daughter. See, ignorant people, they spread it.
- 24:01Speaker 1: They don't keep it in a container. Ignorant people, they
- 24:06Speaker 1: spread it all over the place. I would leave it alone,
- 24:10Speaker 1: just hey, my bad. You know you don't want no trouble.
- 24:12Speaker 1: You're just trying to sleep. That's not gonna stop them
- 24:14Speaker 1: from argin. But they will turn that ain't gon on you,
- 24:17Speaker 1: and then you live in there, gonna be really uncomfortable.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Let it go. That little girl gonna end up somewhere else,
- 24:23Speaker 1: just like her mom and daddy. So I'm just gonna
- 24:25Speaker 1: leave it alone. We want all right. Moving on to
- 24:30Speaker 1: Candice and Jover, I'm gonna just tell you about me though.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Your little young ass ain't fitting to threaten me. That
- 24:35Speaker 1: ain't wish. Yeah, yeah, we're gonna find out who ass
- 24:41Speaker 1: you can but you ain't gonna believe the return on
- 24:48Speaker 1: your investment. Oh you just the all on this one, girl. Yeah,
- 24:53Speaker 1: you want to invest in, ask with it. Watch the
- 24:55Speaker 1: returns on this one right here, right all right, here
- 24:59Speaker 1: we go, and in Dover says, I'm a forty eight
- 25:02Speaker 1: year old grandmother of three boys. I love them so much,
- 25:06Speaker 1: and I spoiled them to death. I already have their
- 25:08Speaker 1: Christmas presents. And when my son found out, he admitted
- 25:12Speaker 1: he was jealous. I had him when I was seventeen
- 25:15Speaker 1: years old and he didn't get spoiled like that. But
- 25:18Speaker 1: how can he be so jealous of his own boys?
- 25:21Speaker 1: Because he's stupid, That's all. Next question, He's stupid. You
- 25:31Speaker 1: didn't have it to give back? There, right, bif go
- 25:36Speaker 1: through this with you boy, treating your sons well, doing stuff? Man,
- 25:41Speaker 1: get out of here, go Come on, all right, this
- 25:43Speaker 1: is the last one, Steve, we spend some time with this. Yeah, okay,
- 25:49Speaker 1: the teama and Jacksonville says, my boyfriend of two years
- 25:53Speaker 1: has turned into a wild man since I met him.
- 25:56Speaker 1: He stopped shaving that very important area that I love
- 26:00Speaker 1: to see bear and I tried to talk to him,
- 26:03Speaker 1: uh into letting me shade him as a sexy experiment.
- 26:07Speaker 1: But he didn't want any parts of that. He can't
- 26:10Speaker 1: take a hint. So how do I get him to
- 26:13Speaker 1: trim it up? Down there? Stop hitting, say it to
- 26:18Speaker 1: stop it with it now? You ain't got to say it.
- 26:21Speaker 1: I don't like that. We ain't doing it no more.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Hut him off, shut it off. Get away from me
- 26:30Speaker 1: with all that, I bet, I bet he could. I
- 26:37Speaker 1: can't stand that. Get away from me? Oh what is that?
- 26:47Speaker 1: It's subound it, it's soubounded you. You got too much
- 26:56Speaker 1: lit on you, little star, ain't bad. You just gotta say,
- 27:04Speaker 1: you know tie you got? You ever dried off with
- 27:06Speaker 1: a new tie, h and all the fuzz beyond you.
- 27:10Speaker 1: You don't really know what the hell happening at first?
- 27:15Speaker 1: Does she just ever say what it is? Or just
- 27:18Speaker 1: do you know? We're talking about this time for a
- 27:22Speaker 1: second hand, I minded me of a story wild but
- 27:26Speaker 1: I was back in my wilder days. We have time.
- 27:30Speaker 1: I went over this girl's house and she had these
- 27:34Speaker 1: new ties and drying off and everything, and I started
- 27:42Speaker 1: finding all these fuzz balls on me, and I couldn't understand,
- 27:49Speaker 1: and I fought, this is what I thought I had
- 27:53Speaker 1: been somewhere else, huh before I came over there, and
- 27:57Speaker 1: I ain't want her to see what I had on me.
- 28:02Speaker 1: So was she came a new bathroom, I was moving
- 28:07Speaker 1: and I had all this gold and ten fuzzballs all
- 28:12Speaker 1: over me, and she said, oh my god, what is
- 28:16Speaker 1: that on you? And I hadn't prepared to lie yet.
- 28:21Speaker 1: She just walked in the barrooms. You know, I'm gonna
- 28:23Speaker 1: lie because I didn't know what it was either, and
- 28:26Speaker 1: so I said, uh, oh, oh my god, my exemo.
- 28:36Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you hadn't. This is in my younger day,
- 28:40Speaker 1: so I didn't really know. She said, yo, exam, she
- 28:47Speaker 1: said food. That's the lit off them ties. I got
- 28:52Speaker 1: new ties the other day. When I knew you was
- 28:54Speaker 1: coming over here, and she didn't watch. I just fell
- 28:57Speaker 1: to my knees and said, Jesus, your good, no Mash,
- 29:09Speaker 1: I didn't waste are all right? Thank you? Rookie. All right,
- 29:15Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour, we'll have
- 29:18Speaker 1: some entertainment news for you right after this. You're listening,
- 29:26Speaker 1: all right. So Terrence Howard says that he's invented a
- 29:29Speaker 1: new hydrogen technology for Uganda and that it can clean
- 29:33Speaker 1: the ocean. Last week, while meeting with the President of Uganda,
- 29:37Speaker 1: Terrence said his new system. Take a listen. You know,
- 29:42Speaker 1: I was born Terrence de Sean Howard. I've become an actor.
- 29:46Speaker 1: You know. I've been nominated for Oscars and Golden Globes
- 29:49Speaker 1: and and SAG Awards, But those weren't the things that
- 29:53Speaker 1: really moved me as a child. I studied chemical engineering
- 29:56Speaker 1: at Pratt Institute. Was there for two years until I
- 29:59Speaker 1: saw that there was an inconsistency with the math there,
- 30:03Speaker 1: and so I went out to explore a new way
- 30:07Speaker 1: of understanding how the universe work. And I was able
- 30:09Speaker 1: to define the grand unified field equation they've been looking
- 30:13Speaker 1: for and put it into geometry. And then with that geometry,
- 30:17Speaker 1: I was able to put props on that. And what
- 30:20Speaker 1: I'm saying is now we have invented a new form
- 30:23Speaker 1: of flight that I would like to bring here to Uganda,
- 30:28Speaker 1: to replace the drones, to replace the helicopters, to replace
- 30:32Speaker 1: the planes. We've already we have all the funding necessary.
- 30:37Speaker 1: What we need is just a fertile ground in which
- 30:40Speaker 1: to build this down. This is the geometry of hydrogen.
- 30:44Speaker 1: Who what what? Right? It wasn't too deep for you guys,
- 30:54Speaker 1: it turns into defense of the nation. Yeah, you can
- 31:02Speaker 1: make a hydrogen bomb with this. He goes into this
- 31:06Speaker 1: deepness man, and like, no, look, man, I'm not a
- 31:09Speaker 1: science guy at all, but what I do have the
- 31:12Speaker 1: ability to do is listen and at least put together
- 31:15Speaker 1: the story. This boy is on the rant. Not what
- 31:20Speaker 1: you need to see is the video or the black
- 31:22Speaker 1: dude behind that's obviously scientists of some kind. Because that dude, like, yeah,
- 31:30Speaker 1: was in the video and the African with you. He
- 31:37Speaker 1: was like, I mean, you man, you know how you
- 31:40Speaker 1: know how you see somebody looking at something and really
- 31:42Speaker 1: be trying to listen. You can tell they listen because
- 31:45Speaker 1: they're kind of like, you know, they can't. Their mouth
- 31:47Speaker 1: come out a little bit and they turn their ear
- 31:49Speaker 1: towards you. And Terence as an actor, and he sounded great.
- 31:54Speaker 1: I mean, if you didn't know he wrote off all
- 31:56Speaker 1: that ain't what burns him. Maybe he loves I Part two?
- 32:02Speaker 1: He thought he built a man? Is that? Terrence Howard
- 32:07Speaker 1: also announced his goal to raise money for information, communications
- 32:12Speaker 1: and entertainment industries. So he's here's the thing that he
- 32:17Speaker 1: threw me with. He said, we have the funding, we
- 32:21Speaker 1: just need a fertile ground dog. Listen to me, man,
- 32:25Speaker 1: anybody man will let you come if you got that,
- 32:28Speaker 1: if you got an intervention that can do something that's
- 32:31Speaker 1: never been done before, and you got the funding. You
- 32:34Speaker 1: know how many people give you somewhere to work that out?
- 32:38Speaker 1: Away over to your gun and told the people man
- 32:42Speaker 1: a man like they ain't heard the pimp game before,
- 32:50Speaker 1: talking to do something for me. Yeah, if it's possible,
- 32:55Speaker 1: can you set it up with Terrence how oh can
- 33:00Speaker 1: talk to herschel Walker and we just sit back and
- 33:04Speaker 1: just listen to that. Hey, man, I think ladies and
- 33:07Speaker 1: gentlemen coming up on our next break, Terrence Howard and
- 33:12Speaker 1: herschel Walker will be answering questions from the press. Carla
- 33:18Speaker 1: Sherley and Junior will be the press. I'm assuming, Tommy,
- 33:24Speaker 1: who do you want to be herschel? I got to
- 33:26Speaker 1: be herschel I'm gonna be Tarres Howard. Ladies and general,
- 33:31Speaker 1: we're going to hear from Harry from Terence Howard and
- 33:35Speaker 1: herschel Walker together today on The Steve Harvey Morning Show,
- 33:39Speaker 1: first time, first time ever, huh and other entertainment news.
- 33:44Speaker 1: Gospel singer Kim Burrell has issued a public apology on
- 33:48Speaker 1: Instagram after a video of her went viral on social media.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Take a listen, gotta choose up, find you some value.
- 33:56Speaker 1: You know, sometimes before we get friends, we have to
- 33:58Speaker 1: do an interview. How long have you been broke? How
- 34:02Speaker 1: many times have you changed your name on your light bill?
- 34:07Speaker 1: How many of your bills and your little cousin's name?
- 34:11Speaker 1: Do you live in a trailer home or a house?
- 34:13Speaker 1: You know, you understand, And it's not about status and
- 34:16Speaker 1: material things. It's just about choices. You know. Life is
- 34:19Speaker 1: different now, and you know we are church. Thank God
- 34:23Speaker 1: we're here. Those of us are walking my faith without
- 34:25Speaker 1: a mask and no vaccine, and so we're honor the Lord.
- 34:32Speaker 1: God is good. I respect all of the men of
- 34:35Speaker 1: God ear and respect you in your collapse. I don't
- 34:38Speaker 1: feel strange right about now. Hopefully we'll give a chance
- 34:42Speaker 1: to meet each other when y'all invite me to come
- 34:44Speaker 1: to your church. I'm not as expensive as I seen,
- 34:51Speaker 1: and so I don't know. Maybe you got a little
- 34:53Speaker 1: left over from your VPP load prayer, praise and power
- 34:59Speaker 1: you understan ain't mad? Ain't that wrong with that? She's
- 35:05Speaker 1: just joking. No, you know, I just think you know
- 35:09Speaker 1: I think it's her attempt at humor. Right, and you know,
- 35:13Speaker 1: church folk could be the most sensitive people. They got
- 35:17Speaker 1: mad about the money issue, that's all it was. They
- 35:20Speaker 1: wasn't mad about the vaccine or the mask. They wasn't
- 35:23Speaker 1: mad about the pp loans. You. They was mad because
- 35:26Speaker 1: she said you got to choose up. Because when you
- 35:29Speaker 1: tell the pope person you want to choose, they think
- 35:32Speaker 1: you talking about them. Yeah, she did apologize. By the way,
- 35:36Speaker 1: she shouldn't have jokes. It was just jokes. It was
- 35:39Speaker 1: yeah that it wasn't. Yeah, I don't I don't like
- 35:43Speaker 1: broke ass friends. Now I'm not apologizing. I'm supporting Kim Burrell.
- 35:49Speaker 1: All right, coming up in twenty minutes, get a bunch
- 35:52Speaker 1: of friends and see if your ass don't end up broke.
- 35:56Speaker 1: Coming up in twenty minutes after the man. All right,
- 36:02Speaker 1: Coming up at twenty minutes after the hour, herschel Walker
- 36:05Speaker 1: and Terrence Howard will be our special guests right after this.
- 36:08Speaker 1: You're listening Morning show? All right? As promised, ladies and gentlemen,
- 36:14Speaker 1: we have two special guests with us today here on
- 36:17Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. We have a Republican senatorial
- 36:22Speaker 1: candidate herschel Walker and we have actor Terrence Howard visiting
- 36:26Speaker 1: us today, both for the first time. We'd like to
- 36:29Speaker 1: welcome you, gentlemen. Good eatness the year one. I still
- 36:32Speaker 1: appreciate being parts of the just hee A type of
- 36:35Speaker 1: panel like y'all got I got panel in my house,
- 36:39Speaker 1: kind of like you here for Gohei and wonderful hypothetical
- 36:43Speaker 1: situation of clarity from my side. Also, Oh, thank you
- 36:48Speaker 1: mister Howard, and thank you mister herschel Walker. Then we'll
- 36:53Speaker 1: take we'll take questions from the crowd. I recognize Carla.
- 36:57Speaker 1: That's Carla Farrell from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Good morning, Carlin,
- 37:01Speaker 1: you have a question. Good morning herschel Good morning Terrence.
- 37:04Speaker 1: My question is just simple. Let's get to it. What
- 37:06Speaker 1: is global warming? Yussel? Yussel. Now, what it is is
- 37:11Speaker 1: a lot of the globe than basically than Michael Wave
- 37:16Speaker 1: did still and got it still. See when we turn
- 37:19Speaker 1: on all the microL waves at one times, what we
- 37:23Speaker 1: do is we warms the glues. What we do is
- 37:27Speaker 1: we warms this hill glue and the whole globe gets warmed.
- 37:32Speaker 1: See what we've got to do with Folks can't use
- 37:35Speaker 1: these microwaves all at one time, Like, all right, thanks guys.
- 37:42Speaker 1: What Herschel is trying to Sam Terrence Howard sad Global
- 37:48Speaker 1: Award winner, Oscar nominated. You know what he's saying is
- 37:52Speaker 1: here quite simply that hydro chloride in the area so
- 37:56Speaker 1: facilitated to follicle airwaves. And what I've invent it is
- 38:01Speaker 1: a way to unmichael wave the air and make it
- 38:06Speaker 1: more plaletable for people that can use it, even in Uganda.
- 38:10Speaker 1: All Right, all right, thank you, thank you have a
- 38:12Speaker 1: follow up question, miss Farrell. Yeah, you invented exactly. Yeah.
- 38:18Speaker 1: I had two hydrogen peels and I put them together
- 38:21Speaker 1: in water and when they dissolved, I drank them and
- 38:25Speaker 1: that's what made me up there with Elijah mccar right there,
- 38:31Speaker 1: go ahead, all right, we have a question from Junior,
- 38:35Speaker 1: also from the same Every Morning show. Good morning, Junior,
- 38:37Speaker 1: you have a question. Good morning, mister Herschel, mister Howard,
- 38:40Speaker 1: Mister mister Herschel, how is it possible that you've denied
- 38:45Speaker 1: your children? And we want to know, how is it
- 38:48Speaker 1: that you're gonna sit up here at Ruffer candidate office
- 38:51Speaker 1: for Senate and deny your children? Yeah, a thousands of
- 38:55Speaker 1: spiders that don't know they all sprains of them spiders.
- 39:00Speaker 1: And then there's ants like this hill that that when
- 39:05Speaker 1: these answers born, these antss queen Aunt don't knit really
- 39:11Speaker 1: have to take kill the good aunt. Exactly, Howard, please exactly.
- 39:20Speaker 1: All right, moving back with more Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 39:24Speaker 1: We're going to his voicemail right after you're listening show.
- 39:36Speaker 1: All right, it is time now to check Steve's voicemail.
- 39:39Speaker 1: If you'd like to leave a message for Steve, Callum
- 39:41Speaker 1: makes seven seven twenty nine Steve. First callers from Sandra
- 39:44Speaker 1: from the DMB. Hi, Steve, my name is Sandra and
- 39:48Speaker 1: I'm calling from the DC or the d MV area.
- 39:52Speaker 1: I'm sorry, so my question is please don't take a
- 39:55Speaker 1: fit to this. But my question is I listened to
- 40:00Speaker 1: your morning show every day pretty much, and I always
- 40:04Speaker 1: listen to your words of encouragement after the show. I
- 40:08Speaker 1: want to know what makes you the expert to feel
- 40:11Speaker 1: like you can say these words of encouragement to people.
- 40:15Speaker 1: Are these things that you've been through? Um? Are these
- 40:19Speaker 1: things that that your family has been through? You know?
- 40:21Speaker 1: Give me a little insight on why you say the
- 40:23Speaker 1: words of encouragement that you do say, Okay, he'll tell
- 40:27Speaker 1: me I leve them. Well, you don't make lady from
- 40:30Speaker 1: the DMV. I'm gonna try not to take a fence
- 40:33Speaker 1: once again. You coming from the DMV pretty much explains
- 40:37Speaker 1: why your ass is working at the DMP. Why you
- 40:42Speaker 1: think is the DC Maryland, Maryland not the Department of
- 40:46Speaker 1: Motor Vehicle Right off and go off on your ass.
- 40:51Speaker 1: Don't take offense. Oh well, well we're right back to
- 40:55Speaker 1: what I need to be. Just because you in the
- 40:57Speaker 1: DMV don't work at the d MV, don't change my
- 41:03Speaker 1: A N s W E R. So it ain't gonna
- 41:08Speaker 1: change my A N swear my AMP. See. It is amazing, ma'am.
- 41:15Speaker 1: What makes me the expert is that I've lived this life.
- 41:20Speaker 1: You know, and you may not know my history. But
- 41:23Speaker 1: if I'm saying something to you and my encouragement that
- 41:26Speaker 1: doesn't make sense or doesn't apply to you, then please
- 41:29Speaker 1: don't use it. But I say things for people that
- 41:33Speaker 1: they can relate to because I've had to relate to
- 41:37Speaker 1: it myself. I don't speak of anything in my closing
- 41:40Speaker 1: remarks that I don't know about it. I've not had
- 41:42Speaker 1: to address myself. I'm not out here guessing none of
- 41:46Speaker 1: this stuff. So what makes me the expert is my
- 41:48Speaker 1: sixty five years of life. Now, I have a PhD
- 41:53Speaker 1: in living, I really do. I got a PhD in succeeding.
- 41:58Speaker 1: I got a PhD getting up off the ground. I've
- 42:01Speaker 1: got a PhD in recovering from mistakes. I got a
- 42:06Speaker 1: PhD in grace and mercy from our heavily fall. So
- 42:10Speaker 1: that's what makes me qualified. It's called experience. And now
- 42:14Speaker 1: if you choose not to listen to me at the
- 42:16Speaker 1: end of the show, then please do. And if it
- 42:18Speaker 1: don't apply to you, then you can take that too.
- 42:20Speaker 1: But that don't offend me at all. I'm used to
- 42:22Speaker 1: people like you. Next question, do you see that was
- 42:26Speaker 1: nice till the very end. Thank you, Ken, Sandra. All right, Missy,
- 42:32Speaker 1: it's from Philly. She left a message for you about
- 42:35Speaker 1: about Tommy. Hey, Steve, this is miss d My husband
- 42:39Speaker 1: and I attended Tommy's show on Saturday in Wilmington and
- 42:43Speaker 1: we just wanted to say that it was an amazing show.
- 42:47Speaker 1: He mentioned you haven't seen his comedy in recent years.
- 42:51Speaker 1: You really need to find a way to attend one
- 42:53Speaker 1: of his shows. It will blow your mind and it
- 42:55Speaker 1: will also soften your heart to see the man that
- 42:58Speaker 1: he's grown into. And he gave you credit for who
- 43:02Speaker 1: he has become and how you helped him. So I
- 43:05Speaker 1: just wanted to tell you that that Tommy really has
- 43:08Speaker 1: an amazing show and it's worth you seeing it. We
- 43:12Speaker 1: laughed until we cried, and we partied all that the
- 43:15Speaker 1: same time. You and everyone on your staff have a
- 43:18Speaker 1: great day. Bye bye. Well, really that's true. I haven't
- 43:23Speaker 1: seen his show in a number of years, and I
- 43:26Speaker 1: appreciate him giving me credit and everything like that. But
- 43:30Speaker 1: me being I have to get that probably not gonna
- 43:33Speaker 1: happen but no time in near future, because I'm gonna
- 43:37Speaker 1: demand and ask for free tickets, which is not gonna
- 43:40Speaker 1: be able to support his family in any way whatsoever.
- 43:44Speaker 1: So the fact that I'm gonna be at this show
- 43:47Speaker 1: ain't gonna make a damn bit of difference to his performance.
- 43:52Speaker 1: I've trained him to give his all in all in
- 43:55Speaker 1: his best, and I'm glad that he's finally getting the
- 43:57Speaker 1: accolades that he deserves. You don't get acculades you don't deserve.
- 44:02Speaker 1: When people call in and say they had the best
- 44:03Speaker 1: time they ever had it's cause they did. It's people's
- 44:06Speaker 1: having the wonderful time. So he's got a great show,
- 44:09Speaker 1: I understand from a lot of people. You know. Now
- 44:12Speaker 1: you're asking me to be impressed about it, and I
- 44:14Speaker 1: am impressed it His show us grown into this, you know,
- 44:19Speaker 1: Oh God, I want to say something else, so get
- 44:22Speaker 1: out while we can. All right, Coming up next, it
- 44:24Speaker 1: is the nephew in the prank phone call for it today.
- 44:27Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to Dave Harvey Morning Show.
- 44:33Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 44:35Speaker 1: four minutes after, it's my strawberry letter for today, and
- 44:38Speaker 1: the subject is I cut him off and he stopped asking.
- 44:41Speaker 1: We'll find out what that's all about. Getting into that
- 44:43Speaker 1: in just a bit, but right now the nephew is
- 44:46Speaker 1: here with today's prank phone call. What you got new? Well, schirl.
- 44:50Speaker 1: Everybody on this show is married, except for Junior. Everybody married.
- 44:54Speaker 1: How would you feel if you got a call saying
- 44:57Speaker 1: you're married, old brother, You're married, yo brother. You gotta
- 45:08Speaker 1: call five, six years, ten years down the line and
- 45:11Speaker 1: they tell you that you married your brother. H caller.
- 45:17Speaker 1: If you found out Tosh was your brother? Got the call?
- 45:23Speaker 1: M how would you feel I got a lot of
- 45:26Speaker 1: questions because I'm an only child, so it's it's a
- 45:28Speaker 1: bunch right there, script right, right, right right, But I
- 45:36Speaker 1: feel y'all feel y'all be shocking, yes, right, all right,
- 45:41Speaker 1: Charlotte Nesto get the Carrsto is your brother? There's no way,
- 45:48Speaker 1: There's no way, Steve haf You get a call and
- 45:52Speaker 1: they say that miss mard is your sister. Missus Mardred
- 45:56Speaker 1: is your sister? How you gonna handle it? I'll take
- 45:59Speaker 1: that call, but I'm gonna act like I'm gonna act
- 46:02Speaker 1: like you never call right now, sorry, right right on
- 46:08Speaker 1: back in here, and police coach back right on, back
- 46:11Speaker 1: in his bed with him, with my little lake, with
- 46:16Speaker 1: my little sister. Freaky, can't let's go. You're married, but
- 46:27Speaker 1: I know I'm getting here, will Marge? My sister? I
- 46:30Speaker 1: seen my sister, okay, and nebody and my family looked
- 46:38Speaker 1: like this, Oh man, all right, let's go. Care dog,
- 46:43Speaker 1: you're married, your brother, you're married. Hello, Hello, I'm trying
- 46:48Speaker 1: to reach a yard. Carmon. This is she Hi, Carmen,
- 46:52Speaker 1: my name is Keith. Keep from calling you from the
- 46:54Speaker 1: insurance group. Hi, how are you good? You and your husband.
- 46:59Speaker 1: What is it, Harvey? Harvey? Is that right? Yes? Yes, Harvey. Okay,
- 47:03Speaker 1: you guys actually put applications and actually went in and
- 47:06Speaker 1: got your physicals done for Life for Insurance, right, Yeah, yeah,
- 47:09Speaker 1: that's correct. Okay. I actually I am calling you from
- 47:12Speaker 1: the insurance group. I have you alls live results and
- 47:15Speaker 1: everything as far as your physicals and blood tests and
- 47:18Speaker 1: things of that nature. Is there any way I could
- 47:20Speaker 1: possibly talk to both of you guys at the same time,
- 47:23Speaker 1: you and Harvey. Is that possible? Um? Well, sure he's
- 47:26Speaker 1: at right now, but I can get him on the phone. Okay,
- 47:30Speaker 1: it will be Uh, it'd be kind of easy if
- 47:32Speaker 1: I kind of explained everything to both of you guys
- 47:33Speaker 1: at the same time as if. That's okay, okay, so wrong,
- 47:37Speaker 1: h No, nothing's wrong. I mean I think I need
- 47:39Speaker 1: to just try to bring a few things to you
- 47:40Speaker 1: guys attention. But I think you know, after that, it's
- 47:43Speaker 1: pretty much you guys decision on what you do. But
- 47:45Speaker 1: I just wanted to let you know a few things
- 47:46Speaker 1: about you know, the results and things of that nature,
- 47:49Speaker 1: Life Insurance, the whole nine yards. Okay, Okay, let me
- 47:53Speaker 1: shoot talking to him on the phone. Hello, Hey, maybe hey,
- 48:00Speaker 1: sweet All right, Um, look, I got the insurance people
- 48:02Speaker 1: on the line. They want to get both of us
- 48:04Speaker 1: on the phone to talk to us about the insurance stuff.
- 48:07Speaker 1: Oh hey, Harvey, are you doing this? Is Keith Keep
- 48:11Speaker 1: from the insurance group. How are you? Hey? Good with that? Nicky? Good? Good? Listen? Um,
- 48:16Speaker 1: I wanted to give you guys a call and kind
- 48:18Speaker 1: of follow up. You guys did physicals and blood tests
- 48:21Speaker 1: and the whole nine yards, and I wanted to give
- 48:23Speaker 1: you guys a call. It's kind of better if I
- 48:24Speaker 1: talk to both of you guys at the same time.
- 48:26Speaker 1: So if you have a minute that we could actually
- 48:28Speaker 1: use to kind of get some of this information out
- 48:30Speaker 1: to you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm fine, man, I'm gonna
- 48:32Speaker 1: break right now. I'm good. Okay. Great. First of all,
- 48:35Speaker 1: we've gotten all your your lab results back everything, and
- 48:38Speaker 1: I kind of got a few questions for you guys
- 48:40Speaker 1: that I'm a little puzzled on. How long have you
- 48:43Speaker 1: guys actually been married. We've been again for years, okay, now,
- 48:48Speaker 1: prior to being married three years? How long did you
- 48:51Speaker 1: guys know each other before you got married, say about
- 48:54Speaker 1: five and a half five six kids years? Okay, you
- 48:58Speaker 1: guys have been knowing each other pretty close to nine
- 48:59Speaker 1: years now all together. Yeah, okay, are you actually from
- 49:03Speaker 1: the same hometowns? You grew up in the same hometown? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 49:08Speaker 1: we grew up. I mean if I'm I'm sorry, is
- 49:10Speaker 1: this question? I mean, is this about the insurance or well,
- 49:14Speaker 1: I mean there are two things that's that's actually uh puzzling,
- 49:18Speaker 1: Carmen that we need to this. This is some news
- 49:22Speaker 1: that I actually didn't want to bring you, guys. I mean,
- 49:25Speaker 1: we have to. I have to actually give you this news.
- 49:28Speaker 1: Looking at our records, looking at all the test results,
- 49:30Speaker 1: and let me be the first to tell you that
- 49:32Speaker 1: we run these results over and over and over, trying
- 49:35Speaker 1: to make sure we are completely one hundred and fifteen right, Okay,
- 49:39Speaker 1: it's a problem with the test. Well, looking at our test, guys,
- 49:43Speaker 1: Harvey a Garment, it's indicating that you guys are related.
- 49:49Speaker 1: And nine times I attend you are you guys are siblings,
- 49:52Speaker 1: old man? What O? And I understand the shot. It
- 50:00Speaker 1: took me. It took everything I had to make this
- 50:02Speaker 1: phone call. I did not want to make it. But
- 50:04Speaker 1: looking at our records, and we went over these records
- 50:06Speaker 1: over and over and then and the blow work told
- 50:10Speaker 1: us that you guys are actually siblings. Oh man, are
- 50:18Speaker 1: you serious? I'm actually my wife. You know this is
- 50:22Speaker 1: not a this is not a laughing matter, not a
- 50:24Speaker 1: joking matter. You know. Like I said, I did not
- 50:27Speaker 1: want to call with this information. What you did make
- 50:30Speaker 1: the call? Man? Look you, I don't know what. You
- 50:34Speaker 1: need to go back and and and double check your
- 50:37Speaker 1: records or something. Because we've been married three brief check
- 50:42Speaker 1: with the laugh man, can you check with the laughing
- 50:44Speaker 1: like Paula's back, Harvey and I and I and I
- 50:47Speaker 1: knew those questions would have come up, and we we
- 50:50Speaker 1: went over it. We went over it and over and
- 50:52Speaker 1: over it. Y'all need to go over it again because
- 50:56Speaker 1: I got this. You make a call and this gotta
- 51:02Speaker 1: be wrong. So what you need to do is make
- 51:04Speaker 1: another call it called a lab and call us back
- 51:07Speaker 1: and let us know that you either. So they made
- 51:09Speaker 1: a mistake of fun. You're talking about me and my wife,
- 51:13Speaker 1: and I understand it hard, Harry. Let me ask you
- 51:15Speaker 1: this is it possible, you know, and this is just
- 51:18Speaker 1: a question. Is it possible that your dad and maybe
- 51:21Speaker 1: her mom maybe knew each other at some point and
- 51:23Speaker 1: what you're saying about my mom and dad. That's some
- 51:28Speaker 1: straight look at you need to have go back and
- 51:30Speaker 1: do whatever you need to do. But I thank you
- 51:33Speaker 1: much you say something like that again, I tell you
- 51:35Speaker 1: my baby's gonna be coming down that beach O. I'm
- 51:37Speaker 1: saying like that, hold on baby, old baby, baby, baby,
- 51:40Speaker 1: hold on baby, I got this, hold on. I gotta baby,
- 51:44Speaker 1: I gotta baby. I gotta how you're gonna call me
- 51:47Speaker 1: with you what you don't know? You from people like that?
- 51:51Speaker 1: But that ain't I don't under doing, sir. It's bringing
- 51:53Speaker 1: you the result. So I don't you bring me the
- 51:55Speaker 1: results in person? And I bet I want you. That's
- 51:58Speaker 1: what I'm talking about. Hey, sir, even if you beat
- 52:01Speaker 1: the messenger at the end of the day, that's still
- 52:04Speaker 1: your sister. At the end of the day. I'm gonna hut.
- 52:06Speaker 1: I don't care what he's talking about nothing. He ain't
- 52:09Speaker 1: my damn brother. I got it. I'm gonna find you
- 52:12Speaker 1: off whatever jupercle you in. You're gonna call me time,
- 52:15Speaker 1: my brother, it's my wife. I am calling that, sir.
- 52:19Speaker 1: Somewhere down the line, somebody made a mistake and you guys,
- 52:22Speaker 1: my brother and sister got married. I'm not at far
- 52:25Speaker 1: for that. Let me tell you that mistake to call.
- 52:28Speaker 1: He's in one of these numbers, a kid in your life.
- 52:31Speaker 1: So I got one more to result. I do need
- 52:33Speaker 1: to get you got hold what you've been talking about?
- 52:38Speaker 1: Then what else you got to say? Now that's gonna
- 52:40Speaker 1: be wasting me. The only other touch result I have, ma'am,
- 52:43Speaker 1: is that this is Nephew till me from the Steve
- 52:45Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. You just got pranked by your girlfriend.
- 52:54Speaker 1: I told you ain't like I thing. I got to
- 53:05Speaker 1: ask both of y'all what is the baddest and I'm
- 53:07Speaker 1: talking about the baddest radio show in the land, stew
- 53:15Speaker 1: Thank you, Sam, I told you I ain't like all right, Nephew,
- 53:26Speaker 1: thank you. Coming up next it is the Strawberry Letter.
- 53:29Speaker 1: The subject I cut him off and he stopped asking.
- 53:31Speaker 1: We'll find out what that's all about right after this.

- 53:56Speaker 1: you write us, you never know. This one could be yours.
- 53:59Speaker 1: All right, you never know. Buckle up and hold on tight.
- 54:02Speaker 1: We got it for you. Here it is strawberry letter.
- 54:05Speaker 1: Thank you, nephew's subject. I cut him off and he
- 54:07Speaker 1: stopped asking. Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm married to a very
- 54:11Speaker 1: stubborn man, and out of eight years of marriage, he's
- 54:15Speaker 1: ignored me for most of that time. I'm a charge
- 54:20Speaker 1: nurse and I've been really stressed out lately. As you
- 54:23Speaker 1: can imagine, I come home to my husband and I
- 54:26Speaker 1: expect him to listen to me event and console me,
- 54:29Speaker 1: but instead he has his head in his phone and
- 54:32Speaker 1: he tunes me out. I have asked him to do
- 54:34Speaker 1: favors for me, or pick up grosceries and dry cleaning,
- 54:37Speaker 1: and he will lie and say he'll do it, and
- 54:39Speaker 1: when I asked him about it, he either says he
- 54:41Speaker 1: doesn't remember agreeing to do it, or he will say
- 54:44Speaker 1: he didn't have time to I got so fed up
- 54:47Speaker 1: with him that I stopped talking to him. He didn't
- 54:49Speaker 1: care because I was still having sex with him so
- 54:52Speaker 1: I could unwind at night. I realized he was enjoying
- 54:56Speaker 1: the sex and didn't have to deal with my mouth,
- 54:58Speaker 1: so I cut the sex off. He eventually started talking
- 55:01Speaker 1: to me and paying attention to what I had to say.
- 55:04Speaker 1: I played that game with him whenever I got really
- 55:07Speaker 1: irritated with him. Back in May, I had a colonoscopy
- 55:11Speaker 1: and he took me for the procedure and left me there.
- 55:15Speaker 1: I had to be put into a holding room because
- 55:17Speaker 1: the nurse couldn't find him. He eventually came to pick
- 55:20Speaker 1: me up, and that was it for me. I had
- 55:23Speaker 1: had enough of him, so I went back to ignoring him.
- 55:27Speaker 1: He apologized and begged me for sex for the first
- 55:30Speaker 1: three weeks, and then he stopped. He seemed to be
- 55:33Speaker 1: okay without sex and his mood change. He lent me
- 55:37Speaker 1: vent to him and he started helping me out around
- 55:40Speaker 1: the house. I tried to reward him for good behavior
- 55:42Speaker 1: with sex, and he turned me away. I'm not sure
- 55:45Speaker 1: of what he's up to, but he will not but
- 55:49Speaker 1: he will not have sex with me. Now has my
- 55:52Speaker 1: ignoring game backfired? What is up with him? Well, I mean,
- 55:58Speaker 1: realistically speak, either he's getting it from somewhere else or
- 56:03Speaker 1: he's playing your game back at you. So you can
- 56:05Speaker 1: see how it feels. I know it's confusing to you
- 56:09Speaker 1: because in the midst of him now cutting you off,
- 56:13Speaker 1: he's still being nice to you. He's still being nice.
- 56:18Speaker 1: What does that mean? You've you've been with this man
- 56:20Speaker 1: for eight years, and for the most of that time
- 56:23Speaker 1: you said he has ignored you. I mean, you said
- 56:25Speaker 1: that in the letters. So even though there's no proof
- 56:28Speaker 1: that he's cheating, he has changed significantly, and change in
- 56:31Speaker 1: behavior from a man could definitely be a sign of cheating,
- 56:34Speaker 1: proof or not. My question to you is why are
- 56:38Speaker 1: you still with this man? You've been basically single in
- 56:41Speaker 1: your marriage for all of these years. You said he's
- 56:43Speaker 1: ignored you for eight You've got no help from him,
- 56:46Speaker 1: and the simple things like picking up the dry cleaning
- 56:49Speaker 1: or getting groceries, and the big one, where was he
- 56:51Speaker 1: after your colonoscopy? Why did you have to be put
- 56:54Speaker 1: in a holding room? You yourself said that was it
- 56:57Speaker 1: for you. Well apparently not, because you're still there. And
- 57:01Speaker 1: now he's flipped the script on you. He's flipped the game,
- 57:05Speaker 1: and as you worried about what he's up to. So,
- 57:09Speaker 1: I mean, my advice is you got to talk to him,
- 57:11Speaker 1: because only he can tell you why he's turning you away.
- 57:15Speaker 1: And please do not expect him to be honest. If
- 57:18Speaker 1: he is cheating, he's not going to tell you the truth.
- 57:21Speaker 1: But again I say, you got to talk to him,
- 57:24Speaker 1: You got to find out what's going on. Then you
- 57:26Speaker 1: can make an informed decision on your next move, because
- 57:29Speaker 1: it's obvious you want to stay, you want to stay
- 57:31Speaker 1: married to him. Well, at least you did you know
- 57:34Speaker 1: when you were in control, when you were controlling him
- 57:37Speaker 1: with sex, So talk to him and find out what's
- 57:39Speaker 1: going on with him. Steve, Okay, all right, ladies, lay
- 57:46Speaker 1: Shirley and Colin. Let me ask you a question. Do
- 57:49Speaker 1: you want me to give a truthful answer to this letter? Yeah? Oh?
- 57:54Speaker 1: Do you want me to be blatantly honest? Both? But
- 58:00Speaker 1: I want the truth? Just the truth is good, honestly good. Yeah,
- 58:05Speaker 1: let's do both, Steve, I mean, is there a difference, really, yes?
- 58:10Speaker 1: And the truth and blatantly the truth? Always has kindly
- 58:14Speaker 1: said it. Blatant honesty is just brutal, hard, cool facts. Yeah,
- 58:20Speaker 1: And that's how your man talks to you. We sometimes
- 58:23Speaker 1: we're mostly truthful with you, and then when we're blatantly
- 58:27Speaker 1: honest with you, it's because we didn't have enough, and
- 58:30Speaker 1: you need to just hear it, which I like, Yeah, yeah,
- 58:34Speaker 1: which one? I like to hear the truth? I mean,
- 58:37Speaker 1: be honest, say it. Okay, Well it is he needs
- 58:41Speaker 1: give it to us, give it to the people. I'm
- 58:43Speaker 1: married to a very stubborn man, and out of eight
- 58:46Speaker 1: years of marriage, he's ignored me most of the time.
- 58:49Speaker 1: I'm a charged nurse and I'm usually stressed out lately,
- 58:52Speaker 1: as you can imagine, I can't imagine with COVID. I
- 58:54Speaker 1: come home to my husband and I expect him to
- 58:56Speaker 1: listen to vent and console me, but in stead, he
- 59:00Speaker 1: had his head in his phone and he tunes me out.
- 59:04Speaker 1: I've asked him to do favors for me. First of all,
- 59:06Speaker 1: let's stop. You're ready for some honesty. Yeah, come on.
- 59:12Speaker 1: He don't like you. He don't like her. He doesn't
- 59:16Speaker 1: like her. He don't like her. He loves her, but
- 59:21Speaker 1: he don't like her. Who I believe it, he don't
- 59:24Speaker 1: like her. I have asked him to do favors for me,
- 59:28Speaker 1: pick up groceries, dry cleaning. He will lye and say
- 59:31Speaker 1: he'll do it, and then I asked him about it.
- 59:33Speaker 1: He just says he don't remember agreeing to it, or
- 59:35Speaker 1: he say he didn't have time to He don't like her.
- 59:40Speaker 1: He don't like her. He don't give a damn where
- 59:42Speaker 1: she won't. Yeah, he ignored her for eight years. He
- 59:45Speaker 1: loves her. He bringing the money in and they're paying
- 59:47Speaker 1: the bills. But he don't like her. He don't like
- 59:50Speaker 1: you no more. So I got fatter when I stopped
- 59:53Speaker 1: talking to him. He ain't care. Fine, you don't wanna
- 59:58Speaker 1: talk to me, Fine, I don't care. I don't don't
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: even like you. He don't like her. But I was
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: still having sect to him so I could unwind at night. Bam, cool,
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: got it, I got the cake. I ain't gonna talk
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: to you. Hold on, stick and I'm meeting it too.
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: We have a sex man. Coo. Yeah, hold on, Steve,
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: we'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour, subject of today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: And cut him off and he stopped asking. We'll get
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: back into it right after this. You're listening to show,
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: all right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: The subject. I cut him off and he stopped asking.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: I cut him off and he stopped asking. So now
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: I asked the ladies call in Sherley. I said, what
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: would you all want me to do? I could give
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: you a truthful answer. Oh, I can give you a
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: brutally honest answer. They said, what we want both? Well,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: you can't do both, because see, when a man gives
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: you a truthful answer, it's always temperate with words of
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: kindness and not so revealing. We'll tell you the truth
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: without telling you the whole truth. See that's the difference,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: and we know the different. If you want to be
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: blatant honest, then here it is in your face, no
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: sugar on it, no coating, and boom. So they asked
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: for the honest answer. So here we go. She just
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: found out that I'm trying to get this later. Understand something.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: You've been eight years to a stubborn man. Mostly he's
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: a charge. She's stretched out. You come home, you expect
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: your husband to listen to him to you ben console,
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: and instead he got his head and his phone. He
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: tunes you out. You ask him pick up grocer to
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: do favors for you and dry cleaning. He a line say,
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: or dude, you come home, it won't be done, He'll say,
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: you either didn't tell him that or he'll just say
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: he ain't had time. All of this is because he
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: don't like her. You're married to a man that doesn't
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: like you, and this is a message for a lot
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: of women need to hear this. See y'all be trying
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: to save your marriage, but you're saving your marriage and
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: the man may love you, but he ain't got to like.
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: He'd been stopped liking this woman a long time ago.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: It's things about her he don't agree to. So then
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: so she got fed up with him and she stopped
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: talking to him. He didn't care. You know why. He
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: didn't care because he don't like her. Who and then
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: I because I was still and he didn't care because
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: I was still having sex with him so I could
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: unwind at night. I realized he was enjoying the sex,
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: but he didn't have to deal with my mom because
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: he don't care. He don't care. He love you, He
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: has sex with you, but he don't like you. Know
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: I many times man can have sex somebody don't like.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? Ladies? A lot of y'all are
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: married to men that don't like you no more, and
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: you're fighting to hang on to this love. But this
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: man don't like you no more. He don't like you
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: and it's just crazy. Man, y'all need to understand this.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: That's why I asked, how you want me to read
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: this letter to you. He don't like her, and I'm
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: much you don't like her at all in this letter.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: So he didn't care because I was still having sexual
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: and so I could wind a knife. I realized he
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: was enjoying the sex and didn't have to deal with
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: my mouth. So I cut the sex off and he
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: eventually started talking to me and paying attention to what
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: I had to say. That is because sex is important relationship,
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: and sex is required by a man to deal with
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: the unpleasant treats of the relationship. If you have good sex,
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: we will put up with the unpleasant treats of the
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: relationship if the sex is good. So when you cut
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: the sex off, he said, oh, let me go on
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: and talk to her, even though I don't like her.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: Let me listen to her so I could get back
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: to having this sex and paying attention to what I
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: had to say. I played that game with him whenever
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: I got really irritated with him. Well back in May,
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: I had a colonoscophy. He took me for the procedure
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: and left me there. I had to be put into
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: a holding room. The nurse couldn't find him. He eventually
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: came to pick me up, and that was it for me.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: Well three weeks now, three weeks that's been going on.
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: But back in May, when you had the colonoscophy, you know,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: you get put out for a coldonosophy. Now you know what,
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: He tied his game, So you did say in the
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: beginning of phone he kept his head in his phone,
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: what are he doing in the phone? Well, he'd made contact.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: So now while you was out having the colonosophy, since
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: he don't like you, he went and got some stress
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: relief while you was getting operated on a little run
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: the run made a little run. Yeah, I'm just telling
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: y'all what happened. Then he came back and pick you up,
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: and you was done with him. I'd had enough of him,
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: so I went back to ignoring him. He apologized and
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: begged me for sex for the next three weeks. Then
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: he stopped. He seemed to be okay without sex. Ain't
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: no man okay without sex. Let's stop that right there.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: And his mood changed. He let me vent to him,
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: and he started helping me out around the house. Well
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: wait a minute, that's weird, but you know why because
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: he was back to getting sex through and so now,
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: since I don't like you to throw you off, now,
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: let me listen and talk to you at the house
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: and listen to your vintings so you don't get wise
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: to the fact that I got some sex outside the house.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: Because I ain't gonna keep begging. You'll ask who I
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: don't like anyway, I'm not gonna beg somebody I don't
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: like for sex, but I can go somebody's house I
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: like and have sex, and I ain't got to be
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: in love with him. You understand what's happening here in
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: this letter. So he let me vining, he started to
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: help me out around the house. I tried to reward
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: him for good behavior and sex, and he turned me
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: away because he's getting the reward somewhere else and he
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: can't use up his reward with somebody he don't like
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: when he got to save it for that other girl
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: over there who he do like. Y'all tripping. I'm not
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: sure what he's up to, but he would not have
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: sex with me. Now he ain't having sex with you?
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: How has my ignoring game back? Fried? He wouldn't got
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: to sex from somebody he liked. He ain't like you,
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: know how? What's up with him? No? What's up with you? No?
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: They don't like each other. She liked this man, she
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: in love, but he loved you. But he don't like you.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: He getting sex somewhere else. He don't give a damn Hi.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: All right, Steve, And you want that little raggedy little

- 1:07:49Speaker 1: you know the American League one three to two. That
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: was the game. John Carlos Stanton was the All Star
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: Game MVP. And there was no more scoring after the
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: fourth inning. It was three to two for the That's
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: the way they need something else when you watch a
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: baseball like they need another sport with it. I didn't
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: sit there another sort yeah, man, when in between indis
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: we need to running around the bases. They can cackle
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: your ass something, man, they gotta put something. It was
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: just six. It was just a three six, no scoring.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: It was just empty. It was just nothing. It was
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: just that was it? So or like day could make
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: baseball more exciting, like like you have your outfielders out
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: there the other team could put one of their outfielders
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: out there. Yeah, you could try to knock down balls,
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: knock your ass, keep your keeping in the game. Yeah yeah,
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: that way a pop fly be about. So yeah, oh
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: my gosh. In the NBA, UH, Hornets forward Mile Bridges
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: was arraigned on charges yesterday, three charges of felony domestic
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: abuse and child abuse. Says he assaulted his girlfriend in
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: front of their two children, and that's where they're adding
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: the out abuse charges. So let's pray for mount Bridges man. Yeah, man,
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: he's an unrestricted free agent with the Charlotte Hornets. You know. Look,
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: I don't know if he's guilty or not, but just
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: based on the charge, young brothers, y'all can't put your
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: hands on these women. No, yes, yeah, this is in
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: front of the kids or out front of the kids.
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: The rule is you can't put your hands on a woman. Now,
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: if we don't stop teaching the rule, we need to
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: re implement it. It ain't the right thing to do.
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: No man, damn. Now, if that's what happened and you
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: put your hands on him, bro, you can't put your
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: hands on a woman. I don't know why y'all think
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: that's cool. I ain't man, she can't hit me. That's true.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: She shouldn't hit you, but you definitely can't hit home. Period.

- 1:10:31Speaker 1: fifteen hundred dollars us all right, switching gears here. Republican
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: lawmakers have a brand new proposal after the Supreme Court
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: overturned Robe Wade in June. Prospective fathers now will have
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: to pay child support from the moment of conception. This
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: is a new bill, Like I said, It was introduced
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: on July thirteenth, and both the Senate and the House.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: It is called the Unborn Child Support Act and would
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: give mother is the ability to receive child support payments
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: while they are pregnant. Under the proposal, a court could
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: award child support payments prior to birth and retroactively to
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: the point of conception as determined by a doctor. According
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: to the statement, fraternity tests would be up to the
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: protect prospective mother. According to the statement, the bill is
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: co sponsored by a number of Republican lawmakers, including Senators
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee and Mark Rubio of Florida. Now
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: they can do all of that even though they don't
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: even know who the father is. A problem with that.
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: When the baby's born, a man is asked to sign
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: the birth certificate. So now a woman who might be
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: conflicted of who the father is, which happens oftentimes show
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: on it. A woman can just pin this right and
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: the guy of her choice, and all of a sudden,
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: this guy is getting hit with child support payments. And
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: then what happens if he if the child is born
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: and there's a DNA and it's not his. See, you're
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: opening up a can of worms. Man, that's right here.
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: I think it's unfair, right if you give that money
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: back now if it's not his, no, and and and
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: get it back from who is the mother? Yeah, okay,
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: what you think the chances of that happened? That's why. Yeah,
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: they can't fair. Yeah, they can't make her do that?
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: You know? Is this asa to y'all? I got nothing
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: to do? I got nothing, Tommy. I think it's an
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: H and H issue nature. I think that's a Herschel
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: and Herschel, Herschel Walker and Terrence Howard Howard issue to
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: speak on this, right because he's are to one brother
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: with issue and his brother and Terrenson turned into be
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: quite aside man. You know, so what if this what
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: if you are not the father and this happens, That's
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: what I'm saying. That's the flaw in it, I know,
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: I know. Yeah. I was asking Herschel and Howard or
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: note nine nine nine nine right for this soul nine
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: nine nine just him. This is what happened between between
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: me and them. Keep what they be seeing about the
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: kids that they're seeing the mands, you know what I'm saying,
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: which is what happened betweenst us and then that's where
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: you get folks thinking I got sell me chigns and
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: that's just not ain't really ain't the total of what
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: it ill tears? Tears you signed sign put some sign
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: holy if you well, you know what the proclamations are
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: actually stated. I mean, for us, all the status or
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: protons and and neutrons get together, and you're going to
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: have a proximity of a situation like this. And I
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: got to be inclined to agree with my counterpart or
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: herschel here and that his children may very well be
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: a particularly environmental hazard of climate control. What I got
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: to do with you are not the father because when
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: that Chinese air gets in with American air and help
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: to add out these things. And I've created a proton
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: remove air. And you can see twenty minutes after the hour,
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: we'll have this night after this you're listening to show,
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: all right. So, after the outrage of a potential racial
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: incident that went viral when a video of the Sesame
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: Street character Rosita snubbed and ignored two little black girls
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: during the parade at Sesame stre Placed in Philadelphia, Sesame
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: Street Place issued another statement promising to do better, saying
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: we are committed to making this right and the parks
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: that it will conduct training for employees to deliver an inclusive, equitable, equitable,
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: and entertaining experience for park goers. Meanwhile, the family of
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: the two little girls have now lawyered up ye down
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: and the kids. It's through with Street at this point.
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: You got to teach people still to be inclusive. At
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: twenty twenty two. Come on, they saw those little girls
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: and more videos are coming up. Yeah, come you see
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: from Street place. So this has happened often. Yeah, it
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: wasn't the first time. That wasn't the first time that
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: little sesame Street character with the red one and the
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: baby with the baby with the no no no. There's
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: another one where where the mama snapped at you do
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: oh no, the big sessme Street and were hey, hey, hey,
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: huh you see him right here? Baby got aesment street ass. Yeah. Characters,
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: you we kind of deal with people and characters like us. Well,
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: I got a word for you though. Tickle coming up,
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: coming up in thirty three minutes after the hour, we'll
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: play around him. Would you rather? Right after this, you're
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: listening to show time now for would you rather? Would
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: you rather get a horse or a dirt bike as
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: your only means of transportation. Which one horse or dirt bike.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna go to dirt dirt bike. I can feed
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: this horse. Feed him. You gotta hope his ass don't
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: get scared of car. Horn your ass off? Not coming

- 1:17:33Speaker 1: thousand million. We're gonna get ten one hundred thousand. Okay,
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: we're gonna Junior take that chance. Yeah, I had to me.

- 1:17:52Speaker 1: He no risk, no reward. Okay, here we go take

- 1:18:15Speaker 1: you can't forgetting either one either want both of them
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: is death. So it's just been on which birth which
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: day is first in the year. You can die early
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: or die later. Going with that birthday, it's January ninth,
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: I'm going with that, right, I see. The anniversary is
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: June twenty fourth. The birthday is October tien. I got
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: to nail both of them. Look man them two days
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: right there, it's the ones. I got to make them
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: biggest deal about. I can make a bigger deal about
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: that than Christmas. But she let her birthday come along
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: and that damn anniversary, and you know you got them
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: the two biggest deals. You can miss Valentine's Day. You
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: messed that up a little bit. Yeah, chill ass, bet not, dude,
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: though it's her damn birthday come along, you stupid as
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: oh today. Let them know, boy boy, that anniversary and
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: that birthday. I'm too bigger you. You can blow Christmas
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: and I don't advise it, but you can blow Christmas.
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: You can mess up Valentine's Day. I don't advise it.
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: Let me tell what you can't do Shirleys is the
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: same day, and she's forgot and that man birthday it's
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: the same day. For what. I didn't forget this. I
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: didn't forget. I just forgot how many years? Same thing? Yes,
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: same thing? All right? Oh, look at the time. All right,
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: coming up, it's our last break of the day. I
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: didn't forget that, and we'll have some closing remarks from
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: the one and only Steve Harvey right after this. You're
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Morning Show. All right, here we are, guys,
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: our last break of the day on this Thursday. A
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: good day, and thank you guys for listening, for tuning in.
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: We appreciate you so much. We love you, loyalty, loyal
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: We appreciate it for all these years. Steve. Hey, Dave,
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: can you pull the statement the lady made? Okay, cool,
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: because I want to play it. Go ahead, I'm sorry,
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: all right, Yeah, So anyway, we're gonna turn it over
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: to you, Steve for closing remarks. You guys, you know
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: my clothing remarks today is going to be interesting because
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: I wanted to play back for anybody that missed it. Oh,
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: we do all voicemail calls, and this was a voicemail
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: call I got here. It is right now. Hi Steve.
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: My name is Sandra and I'm calling from the DC
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: or the d MV area. I'm sorry. So my question is,
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: please don't take a fit to this. But my question
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: is I listened to your morning show every day pretty much,
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: and I always listen to your words of encouragement after
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: the show. I want to know what makes you the
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: expert to feel like you can say these words of
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: encouragement to people. Are these things that you've been through?
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: Are these things that your family has been through? You know,
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: give me a little insight why you say the words
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: of encouragement that you do. From okay, tell tell me
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: I level. You know, after I heard that, I was
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: kind of a little set back, but not really even
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: how I handled it earlier. But after giving us some
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: thought and listening to it for the second time, I think,
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: really what she's looking for is just an insight. I
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: think she's a fan of the show. And then she
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: even said and then I missed this. I listened to
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: your closing remarks every day, and I think she's just
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: trying to find out really where it's coming from and
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: what's the basis behind it. So let me share it
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: with you what I think has happened to me. I
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: didn't always agree with the life God was giving me.
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: I didn't always agree with the hand that I was dealt.
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: I thought at times it was a bit excessive. I
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: thought that getting the marriages wrong was a mistake, mostly
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: on my part, but I thought he could have stepped in.
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: But then I learned that I didn't ask him to
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: step in. I thought that living in the car for
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: three years was a bit excessive, but I needed that time.
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: As I look back on my life to discover some
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: things about me. I didn't understand growing up in poverty.
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: I didn't understand that my entire career I've been questioned
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: at every level. I didn't understand why I've had to
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: do more in my career than some of my counterparts
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: who aren't black, and I had to excel in ways
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: to even get a fraction of the pay that they get.
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: I didn't get it, But I do now, at sixty
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: five years old, understand completely what has happened to me,
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: and as a realization, that has helped me because along
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: the way, I had to learn that my career was
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: what I was paid for, that my calling this what
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: I was made for. All those things that I didn't
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: have an understanding of that God was doing for me.
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: He was making me. I didn't know it. He was
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: shaping me, he was molding me. He was preparing me
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: for a day when I could honor him. In my
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: opening remarks of my show, in my closing remarks of
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: the show, why I could bear witness to His goodness,
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: his grace in my life, his mercy in my life,
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: his forgiveness in my life. All the times I remember
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: my mama was teaching to me as a Sunday school
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: teacher for forty years, I remember all those messages keep
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: coming back, and I've learned these lessons over and over
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: and over again, and I learned them experience to trial
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: and error. So to answer your question, yeah, that's exactly
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: why I feel like I'm able to share these things
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: because I've been through almost everything that I talk about.
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: I'd have had a full run, man, I really have.
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: My sixty five years has been packed, crowded, jammed, chopped,
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: full of experiences, to the point where I decided that
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: instead of at the end of the day just joking
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: my way out every night, that I would share with
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: somebody who might be going through some similar trials and
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: challenges that I've gone through, and just give them some antidotes,
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: some scriptures, some measures, some principles that I've learned over
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: the years that has helped and aided me through some
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: of the difficult times of my life because I've been
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: through what most people go through. Nah, I had a
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: two parent family home, so I don't know what it
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: is not to have a father. But I've been around
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: enough people that don't have fathers to realize that, hey, man,
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: that's got to be hard. Because if I didn't have
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: my daddy, and I was looking at him in that
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: casket at forty three, and I was sitting up here realizing,
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: there's no way I would have been who I was
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: it wasn't for that man right there. That experience right
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: there caused me to start the foundation to help single
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: mothers raise their boys without the aid of a father
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: in the house. That tragedy in my life, I turned
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: it into a purpose all my life. I can point
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: to you all this stuff, and the only reason you
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: can come to this conclusion that I've come to that
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: you've got to open yourself up to the will of God.
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: You got to really talk to God about your purpose,
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: because I've often said this, the two most important days
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: of your life is the day you born and the
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: day you discover why. I had enough sense and wisdom
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: to ask God, why, why Lord did you make me?
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: Why did you cause me to go through this? Why
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: have you allowed me to reach the heightside beach? And
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: he slowly started turning the pages and say, because I
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: made you for this, I want you to turn around,
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: want you to share this information. I want you to
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: teach this to people. I want you to tell somebody
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: about me. That's why I'm qualified to do the closing remarks.
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: That's exactly why. Thank you for your call, ma'am. And
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: I don't take offense to it at all. Those are
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: my clothing, mall. And see right there, I've grown up
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: to a better person because twenty years ago i'd have
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: licked your ass up. Thank you for calling. She knows you,
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: though she listens, she's a twenty years ago. For all
