- 1:20Speaker 2: I'm here in Atlanta, Georgia with the one and only

- 1:24Speaker 1: How you doing? Yeah, dude, I get up every morning.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Dude?
- 1:31Speaker 1: Well good.
- 1:31Speaker 2: How do you feel to be a part of an
- 1:33Speaker 2: engine like that that has been It changes the community,
- 1:36Speaker 2: and you're also personally changing the community. Tells your backstory
- 1:40Speaker 2: about the Steve Hard Morning Show?
- 1:42Speaker 1: You know I can. I met Steve in La back
- 1:45Speaker 1: in uh two thousand and one, and then I got
- 1:49Speaker 1: a phone call uh saying, Hey, you want to go
- 1:52Speaker 1: and roll with Steve in two thousand and nine. Then
- 1:55Speaker 1: went down to Miami open up for him. Got another
- 1:57Speaker 1: phone call, Hey you do any of this weekend Philly?
- 2:01Speaker 1: And I was trying to figure out how come they
- 2:03Speaker 1: keep calling? Who all said no to find me? Who
- 2:06Speaker 1: was not famous? Nobody loves just a comedian. A lot
- 2:09Speaker 1: of people had been the way before we get to meet. Well,
- 2:11Speaker 1: I'm so glad he did find me. And mister Harvey
- 2:14Speaker 1: is a is a very powerful influence or a lot
- 2:19Speaker 1: of young comedians, you know, including myself. So then you know,
- 2:22Speaker 1: I get a call twenty eleven, Hey man, I want
- 2:26Speaker 1: to talk to you about changing uh, not just your life,
- 2:30Speaker 1: but your not your career, but your life. And that
- 2:33Speaker 1: call came from Rashean McDonald's I'll never forget that day, man,
- 2:37Speaker 1: And it was just so much to learn, you know.
- 2:41Speaker 1: You know, I did not know a lot of the
- 2:43Speaker 1: things that I didn't know as a comedian because I
- 2:46Speaker 1: wasn't taught the right way, and all I was just
- 2:48Speaker 1: really working off of was pure talent, right, that's all
- 2:51Speaker 1: I had. You know, Now I learned the actual business
- 2:55Speaker 1: of comedy, the business of radio. And then you put
- 2:59Speaker 1: all those things together, and you have a disease in
- 3:02Speaker 1: mister Harvey. And I said a case it on my
- 3:04Speaker 1: show and not have a cause. And that's how I
- 3:07Speaker 1: started my foundation.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Here's hope, here's hope, Yes, sir, that was foundation that
- 3:11Speaker 2: you mess him in two thousand one, on the road
- 3:15Speaker 2: with him in two thousand and nine.
- 3:16Speaker 1: What year did you start your foundation?
- 3:18Speaker 2: Two thousand and twelve, twenty twelve, thirteen, twenty thirteen, And
- 3:25Speaker 2: that was his cause, he said, sitting on the radio
- 3:27Speaker 2: show with a cause for the community, the community, but
- 3:30Speaker 2: you have a bigger cause because you actually have sickle
- 3:32Speaker 2: cell disease.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Yes, you know. The thing about that man is uh
- 3:38Speaker 1: they they told me at seven that it was over.
- 3:42Speaker 1: My parents didn't know over what do you get me, like,
- 3:45Speaker 1: my life was over, It's down, gonna die. It's seven,
- 3:48Speaker 1: it's seven. They told me it's seven, that I only
- 3:49Speaker 1: have to live till eleven years old. And you know,
- 3:52Speaker 1: I think about the pressure that it puts on my
- 3:56Speaker 1: parents because they really thought my son, my first my
- 4:00Speaker 1: son won't make it past eleven years old, and he's
- 4:02Speaker 1: already seven. And I was only diagnosed as seven. So
- 4:05Speaker 1: I mean that's seven years of my parents not knowing
- 4:07Speaker 1: what is actually wrong with my child, right, and you
- 4:10Speaker 1: know it's crazy batically in and out of the hospital,
- 4:13Speaker 1: in and out of the hospital really really. Right after
- 4:18Speaker 1: about when I was diagnosed, I understood. And then because
- 4:21Speaker 1: I was so active as a child, I went back in,
- 4:24Speaker 1: back in, out, in and out the hospital. So you know,
- 4:27Speaker 1: probably in the year I probably have like like four
- 4:29Speaker 1: or five visits. That's extremely high. Wow, you know, for
- 4:34Speaker 1: for for a kid. You know, that's a lot of
- 4:37Speaker 1: medication you put inside of a kid. And so that
- 4:40Speaker 1: that got me to thinking about and really find out
- 4:44Speaker 1: who are out here has six sels, right, because at
- 4:47Speaker 1: my school, I don't only want I know about the
- 4:49Speaker 1: sick seal community, yes, you know, and I when I
- 4:52Speaker 1: said school, I was the only one that I knew
- 4:54Speaker 1: it had sixl cell. But I wanted to find out
- 4:57Speaker 1: who's all into this community and who doing tho positive
- 5:01Speaker 1: things in this community? You know, who are the people
- 5:05Speaker 1: who are all out here with six so just like me,
- 5:07Speaker 1: but don't believe that life is over because they got
- 5:10Speaker 1: diagnosed for something that they could kill them, right, you know.
- 5:14Speaker 1: And so I took that eleven years old real personal, right,
- 5:20Speaker 1: you know. I made that my number number eleven. I
- 5:22Speaker 1: was playing sports, don't play athletics. I played that letter.
- 5:25Speaker 1: I play football, played basketball, ran track, and they told
- 5:29Speaker 1: me that you want to live ass eleven. So I
- 5:32Speaker 1: took that personal that my life can be. It's just
- 5:36Speaker 1: as great as anyone else is with anything, just because
- 5:39Speaker 1: I have civil sell and you stereotype me as if
- 5:42Speaker 1: I had to go with eleven years old. I didn't
- 5:44Speaker 1: want to die left it. Nobody does, right, you know,
- 5:46Speaker 1: And so that was a hard thing for me to accept,
- 5:48Speaker 1: so I took it personal. I wanted to be the
- 5:50Speaker 1: best football player I could be. I want to be
- 5:52Speaker 1: the best basketball player I could be. I want to
- 5:54Speaker 1: show you on the track. I'm gonna show you how
- 5:56Speaker 1: fast people with sickle cell really are.
- 5:58Speaker 2: But the ignorant of circle seal, yes, sidetracked your sports career.
- 6:04Speaker 1: It did. A team doctor came that year and my
- 6:08Speaker 1: senior year. I have been in this program for at
- 6:12Speaker 1: least five years. I'm playing for this one school and
- 6:16Speaker 1: they have a new team doctor. And in another player
- 6:19Speaker 1: on the team said, hey, doc, he has sickle cell.
- 6:22Speaker 1: That's this. Take him off team right now. That's all
- 6:25Speaker 1: it was. No, no, no, let's go find out how
- 6:28Speaker 1: we can help him play football. None of that doctor says, no, no,
- 6:33Speaker 1: he has sickle cell. Take him off. Wow. And let
- 6:35Speaker 1: me tell you this is in my senior year. Scholarship
- 6:38Speaker 1: scholarships are on the line, and you snatched me that
- 6:43Speaker 1: that that, that whole moment made me understand that I
- 6:47Speaker 1: don't want this to happen to another person with sickle cell.
- 6:50Speaker 1: I don't want this to nobody have this feeling. And
- 6:53Speaker 1: I've made a promise to myself that I would never
- 6:55Speaker 1: let single cell rob me of another thing. And that's
- 6:58Speaker 1: why I said, I choose to live my life life
- 7:00Speaker 1: when it a way that I want other people supiciss say, Man,
- 7:04Speaker 1: I'm inspired right, look what he's doing. So your foundation
- 7:08Speaker 1: is about motivation, is inspiration. It's by motivation inspiration. It's
- 7:13Speaker 1: about showing people that your life can be just as
- 7:16Speaker 1: amazing if you just dreaming.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Cool now, twenty thirteen, that's when you started the foundation.
- 7:23Speaker 2: How does one start a foundation? Now that that that's
- 7:26Speaker 2: a great idea, But how does one start a foundation?
- 7:29Speaker 1: Well, I call some people who had foundations. It adds
- 7:33Speaker 1: to them mentorship, Yeah, mentorship, and you know they they
- 7:37Speaker 1: went down there and actually filled out all the paperwork
- 7:39Speaker 1: for me and they brought me back the approval that
- 7:42Speaker 1: I had a five O one C three And man,
- 7:46Speaker 1: I would write to work. I mean, because I had
- 7:47Speaker 1: no idea you understand, you know, starting something like that
- 7:51Speaker 1: and you've never done it because I'm just a comedian.
- 7:53Speaker 1: I don't know you know all the rules and laws.
- 7:57Speaker 1: You know, I'm not down there, I said, man, but
- 7:59Speaker 1: I won't it, you know, because I was working with
- 8:01Speaker 1: another foundation and they it just didn't really want to
- 8:05Speaker 1: do what I wanted to do. Didn't They didn't have
- 8:07Speaker 1: the vision, okay, And so I said, okay, why not
- 8:10Speaker 1: just go to start my own? Yeah. So it's important
- 8:12Speaker 1: when you talk about the secrets to your success. If
- 8:15Speaker 1: you have a vision.
- 8:17Speaker 2: And it's not being shaped, and it's being shaped in
- 8:20Speaker 2: a different direction, then you should take control.
- 8:22Speaker 1: You gotta take control of it. Yeah, that's that's one
- 8:24Speaker 1: thing about is that what I had in vision for
- 8:27Speaker 1: for people with sickle cell was not theirs, right, And
- 8:31Speaker 1: so yeah, I took the I took it. I took
- 8:33Speaker 1: it on personally and say, okay, I tell you what
- 8:36Speaker 1: if you don't like the idea that I have, because
- 8:38Speaker 1: why are we still in the state that we're still in?
- 8:40Speaker 1: How come everybody feels the way they feel about civil cell?
- 8:42Speaker 1: They don't know anything about it. Everybody get to look
- 8:46Speaker 1: on their fath what else? What is I thought? They
- 8:48Speaker 1: here at that? No? No, because I'm still here right still.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Let me know when you hear about it that what
- 8:56Speaker 1: stow is it that I go? Get it?
- 8:58Speaker 3: Please don't go any We'll be right back with more
- 9:01Speaker 3: Money Making Conversations Masterclass. Welcome back to the Money Making
- 9:12Speaker 3: Conversations Masterclass. Hosted by Rashaan McDonald And so.
- 9:16Speaker 1: What I did that, man? And then I started seeing
- 9:19Speaker 1: the need for inspiration right right. I would go to
- 9:22Speaker 1: see with soul competence, and I start seeing people just say,
- 9:25Speaker 1: and I don't know what I'm gonna do, man, I
- 9:28Speaker 1: don't know if I'm gonna live past this. And I said,
- 9:31Speaker 1: who told you that?
- 9:32Speaker 2: So when you talk about stereotypes, yeah, you were told
- 9:36Speaker 2: the seven you wouldn't live past eleven.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:38Speaker 2: So there are adult people or people in their twenties
- 9:42Speaker 2: have that same depth. Yeah, that that whole thing I'm
- 9:45Speaker 2: going to die mad talent, I'm gonna die, which means
- 9:48Speaker 2: that they don't foresee a future.
- 9:50Speaker 1: No. Now, a lot of them feel like I'm just
- 9:53Speaker 1: going to be this. But then we went on this
- 9:56Speaker 1: journey on living your life the podcast Oh okay, and
- 9:59Speaker 1: I started finding out I'm giving you, Like, what exactly
- 10:03Speaker 1: is you said, it's a podcast, Okay, it's a podcast
- 10:05Speaker 1: I do. It's about you know, it's about the community
- 10:09Speaker 1: of Sickle Cell. It's about the lifestyle that we have.
- 10:13Speaker 1: It's about the doctors. It's about the people who have
- 10:16Speaker 1: foundations like myself. It's about the inspiration. It's about motivating.
- 10:21Speaker 1: It's about finding out really who you are in the
- 10:23Speaker 1: self community. And you'll find a lot of people who
- 10:26Speaker 1: are dealing with the same thing and have the same
- 10:30Speaker 1: like mindedness that I do about sickle cell, which is like, hey,
- 10:34Speaker 1: have you guys seen this? That'll take away the whole
- 10:37Speaker 1: war was me and all. Look what they's doing. I mean,
- 10:40Speaker 1: people have their own foundations. At seventeen, young people have
- 10:44Speaker 1: CBO you know CBOs at twenty. You know, they're all
- 10:48Speaker 1: they're all teaching somebody something. They're all working together. And
- 10:52Speaker 1: that's what I enjoyed when I find out not even
- 10:55Speaker 1: just hear across the world. Okay, so your podcast is
- 10:59Speaker 1: not a domestic take all les, no, because single cell
- 11:02Speaker 1: is not as domestic. You know, I don't think about
- 11:05Speaker 1: sickle cell as just an American issue or black issue.
- 11:10Speaker 1: It's a global issue. Wow, it's the first issue of mankind.
- 11:15Speaker 1: It's sickle cell. That's a blood disorder. You know, blood
- 11:19Speaker 1: cells are shaped like half sickles. That's the first issue
- 11:22Speaker 1: in mankind's history. So why would I limit to black people.
- 11:26Speaker 1: I found out that that that Asians have sickle cells.
- 11:29Speaker 1: I found that stereotype.
- 11:31Speaker 2: Yeah, that's basically sickle cell in the United States. That's
- 11:36Speaker 2: a black black versons of African American American.
- 11:39Speaker 1: No, it's not. No, it's not South Africans who they
- 11:43Speaker 1: have single cell. It's global. I read the Middle East. Okay,
- 11:48Speaker 1: you know you got Europe that single cellers everywhere. So
- 11:54Speaker 1: why I'm gonna treat this like a like an American
- 11:59Speaker 1: issue when it's a globe is wire. So let me
- 12:01Speaker 1: ask you this question.
- 12:02Speaker 2: So the words you have sickle cell disease, right, So
- 12:06Speaker 2: all sickle cell disease the same.
- 12:08Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, educator is yeah, No, they're not
- 12:12Speaker 1: all the same. Everybody has a globe what they call
- 12:15Speaker 1: a hemoglobin, right, So my my type is s C. Okay,
- 12:21Speaker 1: that's my global type SC. Some other people may have
- 12:24Speaker 1: uh type s S. You know that some other people
- 12:28Speaker 1: have another type fatal falsima is. It's so many of them.
- 12:32Speaker 1: It doesn't matter your type. The one thing that we're
- 12:34Speaker 1: all affected by is pain. We're all affected by uh
- 12:39Speaker 1: issues with spleen. You know, we're all we're all affected
- 12:43Speaker 1: by It doesn't matter if we have sickle cell. You're
- 12:46Speaker 1: affected by the stereotypes of the mental health, right. You
- 12:50Speaker 1: know all these things that you've been fighting, uh deity right,
- 12:54Speaker 1: you know if if if you if you go to
- 12:56Speaker 1: the hospital at Another stereotype that we have is that
- 13:00Speaker 1: go to the hospital and we're in pain, call us
- 13:02Speaker 1: drug seekers. Wow, you know, and I'm I'm in there
- 13:06Speaker 1: to be treated just like anybody else. But no, they said, well,
- 13:10Speaker 1: he's only in here because he wants to open use.
- 13:12Speaker 1: He's a he's a drug seeker. And that will mess
- 13:15Speaker 1: withsi millle of a crisis and that that will help.
- 13:20Speaker 1: That will really mess with your mind growing up, because
- 13:23Speaker 1: why they just won't treat me, you know like they
- 13:26Speaker 1: treat everyone else. And then so you start seeing that
- 13:29Speaker 1: in a lot of people as well, like he won't
- 13:31Speaker 1: give me the drugs I need, I won't get the care.
- 13:33Speaker 1: So now we have to go advocate for this person.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Now we're gonna go talk on They be had to say, hey,
- 13:39Speaker 1: y'all are doing an injustice to this person. Now, you
- 13:43Speaker 1: you have people who have when they will not treat it,
- 13:46Speaker 1: sometimes they end up dying wow, because they don't have
- 13:50Speaker 1: the care. Because a doctor or a nurse said, I
- 13:53Speaker 1: don't believe you. You say you're pain at tend you know,
- 13:56Speaker 1: you can't look like pain.
- 13:58Speaker 2: So your whole thing, which you're findudation, yeah, is about
- 14:02Speaker 2: motivation absolutely, ending medical ignorance. Yes, and stigmas that lead
- 14:09Speaker 2: to stereotachs.
- 14:10Speaker 1: That's exactly right.
- 14:11Speaker 2: And I guess the bigger thing is that turning people
- 14:15Speaker 2: into who have sickle cell disease into dreamers.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Yes, that's a big part of it, you know, and
- 14:21Speaker 1: and and and now now what you're doing. Now, what
- 14:23Speaker 1: you're doing now, Matt, what you just described is what
- 14:28Speaker 1: is what our logo says, working to change the shape
- 14:32Speaker 1: of sickle cell. So you know what I mean, the
- 14:35Speaker 1: thing what you just described is what we're working to do.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Now you start to see that. So like our logo said,
- 14:41Speaker 1: we're working to change the shape of sickle cell. The shape, Yeah,
- 14:44Speaker 1: we see that. That's the perception. See, all those things
- 14:48Speaker 1: take to change the perception of cycle cell. And that's
- 14:51Speaker 1: what we work towards. That's what we do.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Well, let's talk about your impact. You know, you're a
- 14:57Speaker 2: big mega horn the Steve R.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Morning Show. You're born and raised in Houston, Texas, Yes, sir,
- 15:03Speaker 1: and the state of Texas, Texas recognized your work, correct, Yes,
- 15:08Speaker 1: they did about five years ago. They gave me a
- 15:10Speaker 1: state proclamation, which I'm very proud of being from Texas,
- 15:14Speaker 1: and your state recognized that's a big deal. Many they
- 15:18Speaker 1: actually gave me an entire month called Here's Hope Sickle
- 15:21Speaker 1: sell Aware this month in the month of June, and
- 15:24Speaker 1: that will live on forever. And that's when I knew
- 15:27Speaker 1: I was making an impact that this now as he saw.
- 15:30Speaker 2: It, then lived to races for the charity. Races are
- 15:34Speaker 2: fundraising races or a brand awareness a racist for sickle cells.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Yeahret it's for Sickle Seal. It's a fundraiser. But the
- 15:42Speaker 1: point of it is to get the community to get
- 15:45Speaker 1: behind and see it. Come out here and find out
- 15:47Speaker 1: exactly what sickle Seal is. I mean it's a race, yes,
- 15:51Speaker 1: but you need to see that these people will come
- 15:53Speaker 1: and walk for them, they will run for them. I
- 15:56Speaker 1: don't care if you ride your bike for them. You
- 15:58Speaker 1: just need to understand that these are people too, and
- 16:00Speaker 1: they're part of our community. And so when the State
- 16:03Speaker 1: of Textas gave me that proclamation and my grandmother was
- 16:06Speaker 1: allowed to see it, Wow, that's where it lives and
- 16:08Speaker 1: is in her home. I don't even have it at
- 16:11Speaker 1: my house, it's at her home. The original is in
- 16:14Speaker 1: the state capital, but the replica is in her home
- 16:17Speaker 1: of the proclamations. Congratulations.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Now because of that, you have a race. You have
- 16:23Speaker 2: annual races that you do. Yeah, tell us about those races.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Well, we do that in Dallas, and I'm gonna do
- 16:29Speaker 1: one here in Atlanta. What we do with those races
- 16:32Speaker 1: is the funds that we raise. The money I raise.
- 16:35Speaker 1: I go do junior clause in a different city every year.
- 16:39Speaker 1: And what I do is I try to do race
- 16:40Speaker 1: in Dallas. I do a raising Dallas and then race.
- 16:43Speaker 1: And I felt like, I'm gonna do racing in Atlanta.
- 16:47Speaker 1: And so I've done them. I've done them in Memphis.
- 16:49Speaker 1: I've done it to give away junior clause in Dallas.
- 16:52Speaker 1: I've done what exactly is junior clause Junior clause. It's
- 16:57Speaker 1: the fun thing I get to do for kids, for
- 16:59Speaker 1: kids and families, you know, because sickle cell effects not
- 17:04Speaker 1: just the person with sickle cell, but the entire family unit.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Because see when a person with sickle cell goes into
- 17:10Speaker 1: the hospital, then mom, dad got take off, brothers, sister
- 17:14Speaker 1: have to come down there. We're losing income in the home.
- 17:18Speaker 1: It affects a lot of things. So what I do
- 17:20Speaker 1: is I take care of the entire family. Is Christmas, right,
- 17:25Speaker 1: I take care. I take the funds that we raise.
- 17:28Speaker 1: I'll go to a city like this year is gonna
- 17:31Speaker 1: be Norfolk. I got a few abs up there. I'm
- 17:33Speaker 1: gonna go, Okay, help me do this, and I'm gonna
- 17:37Speaker 1: take ten families Norfolk, Virginia, Northfolk, Virginia, and I'm gonna
- 17:41Speaker 1: take two families or ten families and buy We're gonna
- 17:45Speaker 1: buy Christmas for them because in December, sickle cell places
- 17:50Speaker 1: to have a hard time with cold weather. So how
- 17:53Speaker 1: these families is elected?
- 17:54Speaker 2: These sickle cell families, These are teens, a young kids
- 17:59Speaker 2: who are impacted by.
- 18:01Speaker 1: The sickle cell disease. Right. And and what I do
- 18:04Speaker 1: is I work when an organization down there who's already
- 18:06Speaker 1: in the community. He knows these families, and we will
- 18:09Speaker 1: screen them, We'll talk to them, We'll find out what
- 18:12Speaker 1: they really what their needs are, what they really want.
- 18:15Speaker 1: You know, I try. I try to give them Christmas
- 18:17Speaker 1: because at any moment they could go end up in
- 18:19Speaker 1: the hospital. And I've been in the hospital and woke
- 18:21Speaker 1: up on Christmas and it's no fun, right, And so
- 18:24Speaker 1: you know, we we'll go there, we'll have lunch. We'll
- 18:26Speaker 1: we'll have a lunch or brunch of there, or we'll
- 18:28Speaker 1: have Santa Claus there. He'll be there and I bring
- 18:31Speaker 1: Santa with me. He comes and pass out the toys
- 18:34Speaker 1: and you get to see sand out the working for
- 18:36Speaker 1: the kids, stand out here working for civil self. You
- 18:38Speaker 1: know he care. So we do all of those things, man,
- 18:41Speaker 1: And it's just a way that I give back and
- 18:44Speaker 1: I try to show my concerns and let the families
- 18:47Speaker 1: know that I'm here for you too, and I'm Business's
- 18:50Speaker 1: another way.
- 18:50Speaker 2: We just motivate and we inspire. Now, the very popular
- 18:53Speaker 2: Libty and Life podcast, like you told us earlier, is worldwide.
- 18:57Speaker 2: It's not a domestic show. You can see them see
- 19:00Speaker 2: the episodes on YouTube. I went online that I saw
- 19:03Speaker 2: likes twelve thousand likes on some of your posts. But
- 19:06Speaker 2: you're not doing that show by yourself. Who is your
- 19:08Speaker 2: co host?
- 19:09Speaker 1: Oh? My co host is doctor Corey Abert and chief
- 19:12Speaker 1: medical officer at Dillard University. He is really into He's
- 19:16Speaker 1: been working in this area for a very long time,
- 19:18Speaker 1: so he understands patients from a doctor, from a patient's
- 19:22Speaker 1: perspective of sickle cell because he stunts it. He understands
- 19:27Speaker 1: that we have to make some changes and when we
- 19:29Speaker 1: have to get registered and get tested to find out
- 19:33Speaker 1: if you have the sickle cell trade, which can lead
- 19:36Speaker 1: to people like me and I know a lot of
- 19:39Speaker 1: people who may not know that they have the trade
- 19:42Speaker 1: and then understand that one day you could possibly have
- 19:46Speaker 1: of me. And I'm talking about at seven years old.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Somebody's probably gonna tell them their life will be already eleven.
- 19:53Speaker 1: And what I'm trying to do is let you know
- 19:55Speaker 1: is that that's not It happens to be your truth.
- 19:57Speaker 1: Your truth can be whatever you want to be right,
- 20:00Speaker 1: and that's what we work on. Living your Life at
- 20:01Speaker 1: doctor Corey Abert Cool.
- 20:03Speaker 2: So just trying to track of your business schedules. Have
- 20:06Speaker 2: Steve Harror on this show? Yes, uh, Living your Life? Yes,
- 20:10Speaker 2: a motivational podcasts YouTube show. Yes, Okay, Foundation, here's so foundation.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Yes, sir.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Five k races, Yes, sir, one in Dallas, one in Atlanta, Georgia, Yes, sir,
- 20:21Speaker 2: And then junior clause, yes sir. Well you toys are
- 20:24Speaker 2: donated to your foundation and you distribute these toys to
- 20:28Speaker 2: kids impact and families impacted by the sickle cell disease. Yes, sir,

- 20:39Speaker 2: I know, I'm so happy to hear that that you
- 20:44Speaker 2: sit around just being a success, that you have motivated
- 20:49Speaker 2: to change people's lives. What's the future you And what
- 20:54Speaker 2: advice would you give to somebody who wants to start
- 20:56Speaker 2: a foundation?
- 20:58Speaker 1: Uh? My, My advice if you want to start a
- 21:00Speaker 1: foundation is go do it. See the longer you think
- 21:03Speaker 1: about it, the time is slipping. And when the time
- 21:06Speaker 1: is slipping, we can't get our goals. And so if
- 21:09Speaker 1: you actually thinking about doing this, I would suggest you
- 21:12Speaker 1: really go ahead and do it, because first of all,
- 21:14Speaker 1: you need two things. You need some empathy and you
- 21:18Speaker 1: need some motivation those two things. If you can understand
- 21:22Speaker 1: a person's plight and it drives you to say I
- 21:26Speaker 1: want to change something for that person, it don't take
- 21:28Speaker 1: it don't have to be ten thousand, But if you
- 21:31Speaker 1: do it ten thousand times, once it's ten thousand, doesn't
- 21:35Speaker 1: have to be in masses. I did this for a
- 21:38Speaker 1: number of years and accumulated the people that we have.
- 21:42Speaker 1: That's what I did awesome.
- 21:44Speaker 2: If you have a minute, I want to share something
