- 0:00Speaker 1: Do as I say, not as I do. On full
- 0:02Speaker 1: display again by Democrats. You're demanding that you not only
- 0:06Speaker 1: get vaccinated, but you also wear that mask. And we're
- 0:09Speaker 1: going to force your kids to wear that mask as well.
- 0:12Speaker 1: The FEDS want your school kids to be masks until
- 0:15Speaker 1: everyone gets a vaccine around them, including their parents. The
- 0:20Speaker 1: NIH boss Francis Collins, had this to say about your
- 0:25Speaker 1: kids and masking. If Delta is as contagious as we
- 0:29Speaker 1: now know it is, and we want to try to
- 0:32Speaker 1: put an end to what is a very significant uptick
- 0:34Speaker 1: right now, Wearing masks if you're under twelve and can't
- 0:38Speaker 1: be vaccinated when you're in school is a really smart
- 0:41Speaker 1: thing to do. And I know it's tiresome and kids
- 0:43Speaker 1: and their parents are sick of it. Yeah, I know
- 0:46Speaker 1: you're sick of it, but you got to do it now.
- 0:49Speaker 1: This comes after DC's mayor has come out and she's
- 0:53Speaker 1: angry that people aren't getting masks. That's right, the DC
- 0:57Speaker 1: mayor has come out saying we got to do these
- 1:00Speaker 1: masks mandates again. Right, that's we're gonna We're gonna do
- 1:03Speaker 1: what they're doing, you know out there in the Capitol. Right,
- 1:05Speaker 1: We're gonna we're gonna mandate this stuff again. So the
- 1:08Speaker 1: DC mayor says this and then immediately she goes maskless.
- 1:14Speaker 1: That's right, the DC Mayor Bowser, you know, the same
- 1:18Speaker 1: woman that allowed for the historic church to be burned
- 1:20Speaker 1: across the street from the White House. The same woman
- 1:22Speaker 1: who has renamed the square Black Lives Matter Square and
- 1:26Speaker 1: has defunded the police. She came out and was angry
- 1:30Speaker 1: about people not wearing their masks. Angry. Former Argas Governor
- 1:35Speaker 1: Mike hu Coulby slammed the DC Mayor Bowser for going
- 1:40Speaker 1: maskless at a weekend wedding despite her new mask mandate.
- 1:44Speaker 1: And that's the problem. It's, as Steve mentioned a moment ago,
- 1:48Speaker 1: rules for thee but not for me. They've all been
- 1:51Speaker 1: to Gavin's garden of gas bad government out in California.
- 1:56Speaker 1: He was the first to really just show what hypocrisy
- 1:59Speaker 1: rule among some of these left wing politicians who want
- 2:03Speaker 1: to impose standards for other people. Remember, he famously went
- 2:06Speaker 1: out to the French Laundry restaurant during the time that
- 2:09Speaker 1: he had closed all the restaurants down, told everybody to
- 2:11Speaker 1: wear a mask, not go anywhere. He took his mask
- 2:14Speaker 1: off partied hard with some lobbyists at the French laundry.
- 2:18Speaker 1: And I'll tell you, I was just in California last week.
- 2:20Speaker 1: I think the voters are going to send him to
- 2:22Speaker 1: the cleaners. And Muriel Palliser is another example of asking
- 2:27Speaker 1: others to do what she's unwilling to do, and rule
- 2:30Speaker 1: one of leadership, never ask others to do what you're
- 2:33Speaker 1: unwilling to do. Governor Hunt can be, by the way,
- 2:36Speaker 1: absolutely right slamming the DC mayor just hours after she
- 2:40Speaker 1: dated her masks and mandate. She is out there at
- 2:43Speaker 1: a wedding. Somebody at that wedding took her picture of
- 2:46Speaker 1: her not wearing a mask for an extended period of
- 2:50Speaker 1: time in a closed environment, sitting at a table with
- 2:54Speaker 1: other individuals. But you're supposed to follow and do exactly
- 2:58Speaker 1: what they tell you're supposed to do. And if you
- 3:00Speaker 1: think that's not enough to get your attention, Governor Cuomo
- 3:04Speaker 1: now has come out telling private businesses it's time for
- 3:07Speaker 1: you to go vaccine only, and anyone that's not vaccine
- 3:11Speaker 1: don't let them in your business. Private businesses, I am
- 3:15Speaker 1: asking them and suggesting to them go to vaccine only admission,
- 3:24Speaker 1: Go to vaccine only admission. We did this. Radio City
- 3:30Speaker 1: Music Hall months ago reopened vaccine only, sold out all
- 3:38Speaker 1: the shows, sports arenas. They went up to about ninety
- 3:45Speaker 1: vaccine only private businesses, bars, restaurants go to a vaccine
- 3:53Speaker 1: only admission. I believe it's in your best business interest. Yeah,
- 3:59Speaker 1: so that and of course that you should do it,
- 4:01Speaker 1: because I believes the governor that this is in your
- 4:05Speaker 1: best interest to do this. Schools need to reopen. The
- 4:09Speaker 1: harm we're doing to our children as just immense. Another
- 4:11Speaker 1: said today on TV, but you got to put the
- 4:14Speaker 1: mask on if we're gonna do it. Yes, put the
- 4:18Speaker 1: mask on, and then it will work to your advantage. Now,
- 4:23Speaker 1: if you want to know if Democrats are going to
- 4:25Speaker 1: follow their own rules, I just gave you two examples
- 4:28Speaker 1: of them. Not let me give you another one. You
- 4:31Speaker 1: know that guy, former president of the United States of
- 4:33Speaker 1: America who could really do a lot of outreach the
- 4:35Speaker 1: minority community who are not getting vaccinated, to have very
- 4:37Speaker 1: low vaccination numbers, a guy by the name of Barack Obama,
- 4:40Speaker 1: Michelle Obama. You would think, right, they would just go
- 4:43Speaker 1: out there and they would help out a little bit, right,
- 4:46Speaker 1: help out. Guess what they're doing They've decided they're gonna
- 4:50Speaker 1: have a big birthday bash. Forget the rules. Barack Obama
- 4:54Speaker 1: is planning a monster sixtieth birthday bash at Martha's Vineyard
- 4:59Speaker 1: for our present, set aside ongoing concerns over large events
- 5:03Speaker 1: during the coronavirus pandemic to push ahead with plans to
- 5:05Speaker 1: throw a massive outdoor party on Martha's Vineyard to Massachusetts
- 5:09Speaker 1: next weekend to mark his sixtieth birthday. Sources have said
- 5:13Speaker 1: that hundreds of guests are expected to be an attendant
- 5:15Speaker 1: Saturday to fill Obama's nearly thirty acres of state. All
- 5:19Speaker 1: will be asked to be vaccinated, while a COVID coordinator
- 5:23Speaker 1: will be on hand to make sure protocols are followed
- 5:25Speaker 1: quote for invitees. A source also said negative coronavirus tests
- 5:29Speaker 1: are required for every guest, but didn't get details on
- 5:32Speaker 1: just how that would be policed. It's going to be big,
- 5:35Speaker 1: one source told The Hill. The size of the party
- 5:38Speaker 1: has raised concerns as the Delta coronavirus variant continues to squirrel,
- 5:43Speaker 1: particularly due to the recent breakthrough cases in a nearby
- 5:46Speaker 1: area by Martha's Vineyard, Provincetown. Their breakthrough cases actually helped
- 5:52Speaker 1: shape the Centers for Disease Control MASK guidance. The party
- 5:58Speaker 1: was first mooted last month, but now looks to be
- 6:00Speaker 1: firmly going ahead with it, whether there's a threat of
- 6:04Speaker 1: delta or not. Because remember, you get to do what
- 6:07Speaker 1: you want to do when you're in charge as a Democrat,
- 6:10Speaker 1: and you have to shut up if you're one of
- 6:12Speaker 1: the peons. And we'll even tell you how to run
- 6:14Speaker 1: your business. I laugh, because the Obama example is just
- 6:19Speaker 1: the perfect one. We're now being told more than seven
- 6:22Speaker 1: hundred attendees will show up for the sixtieth birthday. Now,
- 6:27Speaker 1: none of the people lecturing you about masks and we're
- 6:31Speaker 1: all in this together and lockdowns have to make a
- 6:35Speaker 1: single adjustment to their lives. None of them are taking
- 6:38Speaker 1: their own advice. This pandemamic clearly has a group of
- 6:43Speaker 1: individuals that are the halves, right, these people like Obama,
- 6:46Speaker 1: and they're seven hundred friends and the have nots, the
- 6:49Speaker 1: average peons in America. Here's the thing, right, she wasn't actually,
- 6:55Speaker 1: as far as we know, violating the new rules, correct.
- 6:59Speaker 1: I think that is fair to say, But I think
- 7:01Speaker 1: it might also be about is she violating the spirit
- 7:05Speaker 1: of it? I don't know, what do you think. I
- 7:06Speaker 1: get it. Well, you know, it's hard for me to
- 7:08Speaker 1: remember what we're all supposed to be angry about, because
- 7:11Speaker 1: it wasn't that long ago we were criticizing politicians for
- 7:14Speaker 1: wearing masks still where the science was telling them, oh,
- 7:18Speaker 1: they didn't need to be you know, we kept on
- 7:20Speaker 1: asking the White House, why is Joe Biden still wearing
- 7:22Speaker 1: a mask when the mask guidance, you know, has changed,
- 7:25Speaker 1: And now of course we're saying she should be wearing
- 7:28Speaker 1: a mask even though she was still following the guidance. Look,
- 7:31Speaker 1: I get it. If you're a politician, you don't want
- 7:33Speaker 1: a picture that raises questions. That's bad politics. The question
- 7:36Speaker 1: is whether or not she did anything functionally policy wise wrong,
- 7:41Speaker 1: And I don't know. I mean, I guess it really
- 7:44Speaker 1: depends on if she was eating or drinking at the
- 7:46Speaker 1: time she was photographed not wearing a mask. Yeah, I mean,
- 7:48Speaker 1: I look at the photo and I see it seems
- 7:50Speaker 1: like it could be during the toast, right, everyone's heads
- 7:53Speaker 1: are pointed in a certain direction. It seems like maybe
- 7:56Speaker 1: they are listening to someone, is what it appears to me.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I do wonder for a politician like Mayor Bowser, if
- 8:04Speaker 1: it's just better to you know, air on the side
- 8:08Speaker 1: of being conservative when it comes to mask use, you know,
- 8:11Speaker 1: considering her constituency here in DC, and that you know,
- 8:16Speaker 1: DC actually is qualifying as a bit of a hotspot.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Right now, I get of an accelerated caseload. I get it.
- 8:22Speaker 1: I love this. They're like, well, maybe it was the toast.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Maybe she technically didn't violate her own order. Maybe it
- 8:28Speaker 1: was just a moment when the pictures taken, when they
- 8:30Speaker 1: were when they were doing X, Y or Z. Now,
- 8:33Speaker 1: if you think that CNN is the only one that's
- 8:36Speaker 1: out there right now attacking conservatives with mass mandates and
- 8:41Speaker 1: defending Democrats who aren't wearing masks, no, you're wrong. MSNBC said,
- 8:46Speaker 1: forget all the mass stuff. We're going to take it
- 8:48Speaker 1: a step further. We want to get rid of all
- 8:50Speaker 1: states rights in this country. In fact, MSNBC had an
- 8:54Speaker 1: entire conversation about Florida governor saying no to mass mandates
- 9:00Speaker 1: and said parents can choose. And now they're saying De
- 9:03Speaker 1: Santis is trying to kill children, and we should take
- 9:05Speaker 1: away local rights, city rights, states rights, and Joe Biden
- 9:08Speaker 1: should do it. So Ronda Santis Johnathan Lemier with this,
- 9:13Speaker 1: especially this latest move on masking, I just wonder can
- 9:17Speaker 1: the White House do anything to overrule a governor when
- 9:20Speaker 1: he does something incredibly stupid and dangerous for his people.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Rondas sant Ronda Santis, as far as I can tell,
- 9:28Speaker 1: doesn't seem stupid. So this seems politically motivated. Yet the
- 9:34Speaker 1: children of Florida are the ones who are going to
- 9:36Speaker 1: be in danger if schools aren't allowed to make choices
- 9:41Speaker 1: about what's going on in their communities and if there
- 9:43Speaker 1: is a COVID outbreak asking the children to wear masks. Well,
- 9:48Speaker 1: certainly the twenty twenty four Republican politics or the backdraft
- 9:51Speaker 1: to all of this. As Dave just said, I mean
- 9:54Speaker 1: the White House expect them to be critical of physician.
- 9:56Speaker 1: There's a limit to what they can do, you know,
- 9:58Speaker 1: since the beginning of this pandemic. We learned this when
- 10:00Speaker 1: President Trump back in Martyr last spring. You know, it
- 10:04Speaker 1: was very deferential to the governors and the states. There
- 10:06Speaker 1: there's not so much they can do from the federal
- 10:08Speaker 1: level on things like this, outside of say federal property
- 10:12Speaker 1: or things like airports, things like that. But in terms
- 10:14Speaker 1: of Florida schools. No, their hands are largely tied, despite
- 10:17Speaker 1: the fact that they will message that that, of course
- 10:19Speaker 1: children should be wearing masks. The White House has throughout
- 10:22Speaker 1: this pandemic since the Biden has taken overs, really defer
- 10:25Speaker 1: to the CDC. Those are the CDC guidelines. That's what
- 10:28Speaker 1: they would want them to do. And you're right, De Santis,
- 10:31Speaker 1: like he is someone who has said he's encouraged people
- 10:34Speaker 1: to take the vaccine, he hasn't perhaps done it as
- 10:36Speaker 1: strongly as we've heard from some of his other counterparts.
- 10:38Speaker 1: You know, a lot of Republicans in recent weeks have
- 10:40Speaker 1: really been out there saying to do so. To Santas. Also,
- 10:43Speaker 1: we should know we heard from President Biden last week
- 10:45Speaker 1: about some of his plans to get people more people
- 10:48Speaker 1: to take the vaccines. One of them was to have
- 10:49Speaker 1: state and local officials give one hundred dollars to people
- 10:52Speaker 1: to get those shots. To Santa says he won't do that,
- 10:54Speaker 1: that Florida is not going to be involved in that program,
- 10:57Speaker 1: even though other states might. But this, by the way,
- 10:59Speaker 1: you notice what the media is doing here. They're hoping
- 11:02Speaker 1: that governor to Santists after being right on lockdowns, after
- 11:06Speaker 1: being right on freedom, after being right on having a
- 11:10Speaker 1: state that was opened up, after being right on all
- 11:14Speaker 1: of these basic freedoms in his state. They are begging
- 11:19Speaker 1: and hoping and praying that there will be a significant
- 11:23Speaker 1: number of people that get infected. They're hoping there will
- 11:26Speaker 1: be an outbreak within the schools. They're hoping that all
- 11:29Speaker 1: of this will happen so then they can attack Governor
- 11:32Speaker 1: to santists, ruin his chances of ever having a shout
- 11:36Speaker 1: at running it for the White House, and destroy him
- 11:38Speaker 1: as a Republican leader that has been consistently siding on
- 11:41Speaker 1: the side of freedom over governor government tyranny and total
- 11:47Speaker 1: control over your life. That is what they are hoping for.
- 11:51Speaker 1: And you can hear it and how angry they are,
- 11:54Speaker 1: you know, referring to him, how stupid he is, you know,
- 11:57Speaker 1: saying get rid of states rights, get rid of local rights.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Doesn't Joe Biden need to just step in here and
- 12:03Speaker 1: say no, governor standards, you can't do this. Governor a Florida.
- 12:07Speaker 1: The headline says, block school mass mandates as parents can choose.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Isn't that freedom? Shouldn't parents be able to choose? Oh no, no,
- 12:15Speaker 1: we're the media, we need to tell you what you've
- 12:17Speaker 1: got to do in every state in America. This is
- 12:19Speaker 1: certainly underscoring the great level of concern right now across
- 12:23Speaker 1: the country. As much as the White House is heartened
- 12:25Speaker 1: by the increased level of vaccinations, we're seeing a lot
- 12:28Speaker 1: of these states that are being hit hard. They've got
- 12:29Speaker 1: a long way to go. These cases are surging, hospitals
- 12:32Speaker 1: are filling up, and this is suddenly COVID of course
- 12:36Speaker 1: is refocus as the number one priority for this White
- 12:39Speaker 1: House right now, But their hands are tied to what
- 12:41Speaker 1: they can do for the state of Florida. Yeah, they
- 12:43Speaker 1: really are. I mean this is love this. Yeah, they
- 12:47Speaker 1: really are tied. They're tied down there. You might want
- 12:50Speaker 1: to move. You might want to leave the state. They're
- 12:52Speaker 1: trying to kill you down there, right, You really might
- 12:55Speaker 1: want to move and lead because they're just they're probably
- 12:58Speaker 1: going to murder you down there because you're idiot, Governor.
- 13:02Speaker 1: This is the same media that didn't even hold Governor
- 13:06Speaker 1: Cuomo accountable for actually killing seniors with as rules, changing
- 13:10Speaker 1: the numbers, lying about the numbers under criminal investigation. This
- 13:14Speaker 1: is the same MSNBC that was totally fine with all
- 13:16Speaker 1: that and you know, they're like, Wow, their hands are
- 13:19Speaker 1: really tied. Good luck Florida. You guys are probably gonna
- 13:23Speaker 1: die as are tied to what they can do for
- 13:25Speaker 1: the state of Florida. Yeah, they really are. I mean,
- 13:29Speaker 1: this is a stretch day of Ehrenberg. But if you're
- 13:31Speaker 1: a parent in Florida and you actually don't depend on
- 13:34Speaker 1: Facebook for your news, then they start mocking the right.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Just want to make sure you knew who public enemy
- 13:40Speaker 1: number one is down there, right, It's conservatives. It's idiots
- 13:44Speaker 1: down there. It's it's the idiots conservative leaders down there. Yeah,
- 13:49Speaker 1: there you go. That's what it is. That's how they're
- 13:52Speaker 1: going to treat you and anybody that says no to
- 13:55Speaker 1: their lockdowns that are clearly coming, and they're gonna and
- 13:59Speaker 1: they're mandating the businesses lock you down. Did everybody gets
- 14:04Speaker 1: shut up? I mean, the NAH director is prudent to
- 14:08Speaker 1: wear masks even if you're vaccinated. This is their new
- 14:10Speaker 1: line they pushed over the weekend as he went on
- 14:12Speaker 1: all the Sunday shows, the c NA director telling you
- 14:16Speaker 1: now it is prudent to wear masks even if you're vaccinated.
- 14:19Speaker 1: In America right now, it's having a pretty big party
- 14:22Speaker 1: in the middle of the country. Yeah. No, I hope
- 14:24Speaker 1: that that's that's what's happening as well. I have to say,
- 14:29Speaker 1: there's some confusion out there about the Biden administration and
- 14:34Speaker 1: about the CDC's new guidance that vaccinated Americans need to
- 14:39Speaker 1: again wear masks indoors in most of the country. Can
- 14:44Speaker 1: you clear this up. Do most vaccinated Americans need to
- 14:48Speaker 1: wear mask indoors in order to protect themselves and other
- 14:52Speaker 1: vaccinated Americans or is this primarily about protecting unvaccinated Americans,
- 14:59Speaker 1: including children under twelve or people who are refusing to
- 15:03Speaker 1: get vaccinated. It's mostly about protecting the unvaccinated. That's where
- 15:08Speaker 1: the real serious risks of illness are. If you're vaccinated
- 15:12Speaker 1: right now, your likelihood of getting severely sick is twenty
- 15:15Speaker 1: fivefold reduced. You gave some numbers right before this segment,
- 15:19Speaker 1: Jake about that the vaccines work extremely well. But the
- 15:23Speaker 1: new news, and much of this comes from that outbreak
- 15:25Speaker 1: in Barnstable County, Massachusetts, is that vaccinated people are capable
- 15:31Speaker 1: of getting the virus in their nose and throat, and
- 15:34Speaker 1: they do seem to have high enough levels of virus
- 15:37Speaker 1: that they might be contagious, and hence the reason. If
- 15:40Speaker 1: you're in a community where this virus is spreading, which
- 15:43Speaker 1: is about seventy five percent of counties right now, it
- 15:46Speaker 1: is prudent to put on a mask, even if you're vaccinated,
- 15:49Speaker 1: just in case you might be somebody who's currently spreading
- 15:52Speaker 1: it and you don't want to do that to kids
- 15:54Speaker 1: under twelve or to some of those other folks who
- 15:57Speaker 1: remain unvaccinated. It's just good common sense. I know it
- 16:01Speaker 1: is confused everybody because it's a change in direction. But
- 16:03Speaker 1: if we can step aside from all of the political
- 16:06Speaker 1: assumptions which really don't fit here, and look at the data,
- 16:09Speaker 1: that's the data. That's the data. So just listen to
- 16:12Speaker 1: what we're telling you. I know we've been telling you
- 16:15Speaker 1: one thing completely opposite the entire time. I know we've
- 16:18Speaker 1: been contradicting ourselves. I know that you know, the president,
- 16:22Speaker 1: former President United States America, can have seven hundred of
- 16:24Speaker 1: his closest friends, over seven hundred of his closest friends
- 16:28Speaker 1: over to hanging out for his big sixtieth birthday party.
- 16:31Speaker 1: I know that the DC mayor can go to a
- 16:34Speaker 1: wedding this weekend after telling you to mask up and
- 16:37Speaker 1: cannot wear a mask. But we can explain that away
- 16:40Speaker 1: because maybe it was the toast. So you just take
- 16:42Speaker 1: that mask off. I know we've been all over the place,
- 16:45Speaker 1: but it's really just common sense. Even if you're vaccinated,
- 16:49Speaker 1: put the mask back on, wear that mask. You just
- 16:53Speaker 1: need to do it, folks, You just need to do it.
- 16:56Speaker 1: It's patriotic to do it. Patriotism. Remember, it's all about
- 17:01Speaker 1: protecting your fellow man, your kids. You are not how
- 17:04Speaker 1: crazy this whole thing's gotten. Look right now at what
- 17:09Speaker 1: they're saying in Australia, for example, in Australia right now,
- 17:14Speaker 1: they actually put out new guidance, and their new guidance
- 17:18Speaker 1: that they put out literally said parents need to keep
- 17:21Speaker 1: distance from their own children and also wear a mask.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Did you hear me? Parents need to keep distance from
- 17:29Speaker 1: their own children. That's in Australia now. At least I
- 17:34Speaker 1: will give a little bit of credit to one person
- 17:37Speaker 1: in the media. ABC actually had one of their commentators
- 17:42Speaker 1: talking about Biden's mass mandates saying, all of this is
- 17:46Speaker 1: just weird where you need national unity or some consensus
- 17:50Speaker 1: about what kind of signs, what kind of signals you're
- 17:52Speaker 1: going to follow, and you really have the opposite. And look,
- 17:54Speaker 1: you can blame the virus for being confusing and for adjusting,
- 17:57Speaker 1: but at this stage, you don't have a reservoir of
- 18:01Speaker 1: goodwill that the Biden administration has been able to build up.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Because there's been conflicting information, there's been conflicting advice, the
- 18:08Speaker 1: science has been changing. We don't know what zone we're
- 18:10Speaker 1: living in or what the mandate's going to be for
- 18:12Speaker 1: indoors versus outdoors. Vaccinated unvaccinated. People want their lives back,
- 18:16Speaker 1: and Joe Biden told us just a few weeks ago,
- 18:18Speaker 1: told the American people that we were about there, we
- 18:20Speaker 1: were getting our lives back. Now we're seeing this backslide.
- 18:23Speaker 1: We're seeing his advice adjusting, and it is confusing. You think,
- 18:29Speaker 1: I don't know if they even care how confusing it is.
- 18:33Speaker 1: I really don't. But you look at ABC News and
- 18:37Speaker 1: at least their political director, they're talking about the politics
- 18:40Speaker 1: of this, talking and explaining about how confusing this actually is.
- 18:46Speaker 1: You know, this administration's latest mass mandate, it's madness. It
- 18:51Speaker 1: is not rooted in logic. Ben Shapiro was on Fox
- 18:56Speaker 1: News talking about that, and he explained it brilliantly when
- 18:59Speaker 1: he said, it is madness, and it's not rooted in
- 19:02Speaker 1: anything resembling logic or data. And the simple fact of
- 19:05Speaker 1: the matter is that, as you mentioned, Jesse, if you
- 19:08Speaker 1: have had the vaccine, you're essentially safe from this virus.
- 19:10Speaker 1: And if you haven't had the vaccine, at this point,
- 19:12Speaker 1: it's been out there for months, you've had every ability
- 19:14Speaker 1: to get it. You can get it today if you
- 19:16Speaker 1: want it, but you are a rational adult. You can
- 19:18Speaker 1: make your own risk assessment. And now that whatever happens
- 19:20Speaker 1: is on you. The notion that we have to mask
- 19:22Speaker 1: up everybody who's vaccinated to protect the unvaccinated, or that
- 19:26Speaker 1: whatever Joe Biden says about masking is going to be
- 19:28Speaker 1: effective anyway across the country is acinine on its face.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Beyond that, the undermining of confidence in the vaccine is
- 19:34Speaker 1: the big takeaway, I think for a lot of Americans
- 19:36Speaker 1: who are sort of on the fence. If you go
- 19:38Speaker 1: out there and you keep saying over and over and over,
- 19:39Speaker 1: the people who are vaccinated are still transmitting, people who
- 19:42Speaker 1: are vaccinated are still creating risk. A lot of people
- 19:44Speaker 1: out there are going to say to themselves their big
- 19:46Speaker 1: takeaway is the vaccine is not working. The way that
- 19:48Speaker 1: you said it was working, which of course is not true.
- 19:50Speaker 1: The vaccines are working, they are working to prevent hospitalization,
- 19:53Speaker 1: they're working to prevent death. But at a certain point
- 19:56Speaker 1: you have to say to the American people, you're on
- 19:58Speaker 1: your own now, you go back to regular The movement
- 20:01Speaker 1: of the goal post here's been astonishing. At the beginning,
- 20:03Speaker 1: it was two weeks to slow the spread, don't overwom
- 20:05Speaker 1: the hospital system, so we did that. Then it was
- 20:07Speaker 1: wait until the vaccines are available, Then we did that,
- 20:09Speaker 1: and then it was wait until all adults have had
- 20:11Speaker 1: the opportunity to get the vaccine, and we did that.
- 20:14Speaker 1: So what are the goalposts now other than something that
- 20:16Speaker 1: is utterly impossible zero COVID? And yet that's what the
- 20:19Speaker 1: Democrats and the White House seemed to be focused in
- 20:21Speaker 1: on Tritas, He's right by the way they keep moving
- 20:24Speaker 1: the goalposts. So what is success? What is failure? Or
- 20:29Speaker 1: is it just total control over our lives everywhere we go?
- 20:32Speaker 1: Which goes back to exactly what this pan on ABC
- 20:35Speaker 1: this week was saying when they talked about the House
- 20:38Speaker 1: mass mandates facing an all out civil disobedience and there's
- 20:43Speaker 1: quote no reservoir of goodwill made by the Biden administration.
- 20:47Speaker 1: Respect Well, there's something binary going on in Congress. I mean,
- 20:52Speaker 1: the Republicans are not in the House. I mean, you
- 20:54Speaker 1: have basically all out civil disobedience, it seems in terms
- 20:58Speaker 1: of the requirement for a mask in the House. I mean,
- 21:01Speaker 1: by the way that the Jonathan Kleiner's saying this right now,
- 21:04Speaker 1: he's right, and the Republicans in the House are clearly
- 21:08Speaker 1: making an example, as they should, for what we should
- 21:12Speaker 1: be doing. What civil disobedience looks like. When Nancy Pelosi
- 21:17Speaker 1: ordered that members of Congress be arrested for not wearing
- 21:20Speaker 1: a mask, Republicans said, watch this, We're not going to
- 21:24Speaker 1: do it. We're not It's civil disobedience and we should
- 21:29Speaker 1: all be doing this. And that's the point that he's making.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Basically all out civil disobedience, it seems in terms of
- 21:36Speaker 1: the requirement for a mask in the House. I mean,
- 21:39Speaker 1: how Nancy Pelosi going to enforce this? I mean it's
- 21:41Speaker 1: going to be a challenge for her. And I think
- 21:43Speaker 1: that you know, Republicans, some of them at this point
- 21:46Speaker 1: are just saying they're gonna they're gonna pay the fine,
- 21:49Speaker 1: or they're trying to find out a way to keep
- 21:51Speaker 1: from being fine because you know Pelosi, Speaker Pelosi has
- 21:54Speaker 1: tried to sort of double down on these mask mandates
- 21:56Speaker 1: by saying, Okay, if you're not following the rules, you
- 21:58Speaker 1: know you could you could face some of your salary
- 22:01Speaker 1: being cut. But I mean things right now in the
- 22:02Speaker 1: House are just totally ugly, not only over this issue,
- 22:05Speaker 1: but also you know, when it comes to the January
- 22:07Speaker 1: sixth panel, I mean, you had Pelosi calling Kevin McCarthy
- 22:11Speaker 1: a Moore on this week. You had Kevin McCarthy saying
- 22:13Speaker 1: something yesterday about how when he gets the gabble to
- 22:16Speaker 1: be speaker, you know he'll try not to hit her
- 22:18Speaker 1: with it, which is just incredibly insane. The type of
- 22:22Speaker 1: rhetoric we're saying right now, things are really really heated.
- 22:26Speaker 1: I mean, it does it's been bad. I remember get
- 22:28Speaker 1: Part at one point making the joke that when he
- 22:30Speaker 1: handed the gabble to Ginglish that he thought of using it.
- 22:35Speaker 1: But I think it was a joke. But I mean, Rick,
- 22:39Speaker 1: it's it is unbelievable. I mean, the Congress actually seems
- 22:42Speaker 1: maybe even more divided well, and this is a time
- 22:45Speaker 1: where you need national unity or some consensus about what
- 22:48Speaker 1: kind of signs, what kind of signals you're going to follow,
- 22:49Speaker 1: and you really have the opposite. And look, you can
- 22:51Speaker 1: blame the virus for being confusing and for adjusting, but
- 22:55Speaker 1: at this stage you don't have a reservoir of goodwill
- 22:59Speaker 1: that the Biden administration has been able to build up
- 23:01Speaker 1: because there's been conflicting information, there's been conflicting advice, the
- 23:05Speaker 1: science has been changing. We don't know what zone we're
- 23:08Speaker 1: living in or what the mandate's going to be for
- 23:09Speaker 1: indoors versus outdoors. Vaccinated unvaccinated. People want their lives back,
- 23:13Speaker 1: and Joe Biden told us just a few weeks ago,
- 23:15Speaker 1: told the American people that we were about there, we
- 23:17Speaker 1: were getting our lives back. Now we're seeing this backslide.
- 23:20Speaker 1: We're seeing his advice adjusting, and it is confusing. And
- 23:24Speaker 1: I think on the other side, when you get to
- 23:26Speaker 1: the politics, it's become a cultural touchstone. When you have
- 23:29Speaker 1: people like Rohnda Santists raising money off of anti fauci imagery.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Don't fauci my Florida is what the T shirts and
- 23:35Speaker 1: the couzies say right now. And you have Republicans who
- 23:38Speaker 1: are in an outright open defiance of what the federal
- 23:41Speaker 1: government is telling you. You have a major clash, and
- 23:44Speaker 1: a clash that has public health consequences, not just for
- 23:46Speaker 1: people who are unvaccinated, but for people who are vulnerable.
- 23:49Speaker 1: The way that doctor Fauci outlined it today, everyone's health
- 23:52Speaker 1: is at risk. But I love by the way they
- 23:55Speaker 1: end that there, right like, well, you know you've got
- 23:57Speaker 1: a real problem here because you've got Republicans are just
- 24:00Speaker 1: saying no, and you've got you know, De Santists raising
- 24:03Speaker 1: money off don't founce you my Florida. I agree with
- 24:06Speaker 1: by the way what De Santists is doing. I mean,
- 24:11Speaker 1: who doesn't. If you live in Florida, do you want
- 24:14Speaker 1: it to become New York? Do you want the rules
- 24:17Speaker 1: to look like New York? I would not want them
- 24:19Speaker 1: to look that way. I think most of people in
- 24:22Speaker 1: Florida say, you can keep your rules in New York
- 24:25Speaker 1: and DC out of my state. We don't want any
- 24:28Speaker 1: of them, right. I mean that's if you if you
- 24:32Speaker 1: really want to get down to it. Governor De Santists
- 24:35Speaker 1: has got it right now. Cases are rising, and they
- 24:38Speaker 1: left is hoping that all these people die. I mean,
- 24:41Speaker 1: we can see that. It's very clear. That's what they
- 24:44Speaker 1: want to happen. They want it to become a disaster.
- 24:47Speaker 1: They can say, aha, see we told you so, haha,
- 24:51Speaker 1: we warned you. Haha, we said you need to listen
- 24:54Speaker 1: to us, and you didn't. You should have shut everything
- 24:58Speaker 1: out down, You should have had the mask mandates, you
- 25:02Speaker 1: should have done everything that we told you to do. Right,
- 25:05Speaker 1: That's what they were hoping for. That's what they want.
- 25:08Speaker 1: They want it to be that in your face. These
- 25:14Speaker 1: Republicans that are defying what Nancy Pelosi did in civil disobedience,
- 25:19Speaker 1: good when she starts threatening to arrest people members of
- 25:24Speaker 1: Congress not wearing a mask, even if they've been vaccinated. Good.
- 25:29Speaker 1: I would argue this as a blueprint for what we
- 25:31Speaker 1: need to be thinking about moving forward. There are a
- 25:35Speaker 1: lot of people that have been vaccinated. This idea I
- 25:39Speaker 1: need to wear a mask in my house or around
- 25:41Speaker 1: my kids. If I believe that I'm threatening my kids
- 25:45Speaker 1: safety and security, then as an individual, I'll deal with that.
- 25:50Speaker 1: But this idea that I must do what they tell
- 25:52Speaker 1: me to do or I am public enemy number one. No,
- 25:58Speaker 1: this idea that I got to shut down my busines,
- 26:00Speaker 1: this is again because they tell me to no that
- 26:06Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I'm not doing it. I'm just never going
- 26:10Speaker 1: to comply the way that I did the first go around.
- 26:14Speaker 1: And I think most Americans feel the exact same way.
- 26:19Speaker 1: You know, people are starting to get angry at Joe
- 26:22Speaker 1: Biden's incompetence. They're starting to get angry at people like
- 26:28Speaker 1: the mayor in DC. I think what you're going to
- 26:31Speaker 1: see out in California and the recall election there is
- 26:33Speaker 1: they're going to get rid of their governor over what
- 26:36Speaker 1: he did to their economy. And remember what they're advocating
- 26:39Speaker 1: right now for to happen all over the country is
- 26:43Speaker 1: exactly what they advocated for. They want Florida to become California.
- 26:50Speaker 1: They believe that the entire nation should do what California
- 26:54Speaker 1: and what Michigan and what New York did. They want
- 26:58Speaker 1: there to be total locked ouns. Just listen to what
- 27:04Speaker 1: CNN had to say about members of Congress, for example,
- 27:08Speaker 1: that even question the mass mandates of Nancy Pelosi. They
- 27:12Speaker 1: actually say, you shouldn't even be allowed to be in
- 27:14Speaker 1: Congress if you're the stupid to ask questions about the
- 27:17Speaker 1: science behind the mass mandates. The other senator from Kentucky,
- 27:21Speaker 1: Rand Paul, who is tweeting, quote, No, the government doesn't
- 27:24Speaker 1: decide who gets vaccinated. You do do not submit to
- 27:28Speaker 1: the fearmongers. Kirsten, which message wins out here? Well, I
- 27:36Speaker 1: don't know which message is going to win out, and
- 27:39Speaker 1: I think that it would have been helpful also if
- 27:42Speaker 1: Republicans would have been putting this message out sooner than
- 27:45Speaker 1: they're putting it out. But what Mitch McConnell is saying,
- 27:48Speaker 1: contrary to what Rampaul is alleging, is exactly what Rampau says,
- 27:53Speaker 1: you should do. You decide to get the vaccine. He's
- 27:57Speaker 1: not saying that the government's forcing people to get the
- 27:59Speaker 1: vac scene. Though if the government did force people to
- 28:02Speaker 1: get the vaccine, that actually wouldn't be that big of
- 28:04Speaker 1: a deal because it happens already. All most of us
- 28:09Speaker 1: have been vaccinated with vaccines that are required when we
- 28:12Speaker 1: were children to go to school. People who have children
- 28:15Speaker 1: have to have vaccines to go to school. So this
- 28:18Speaker 1: is not a new thing. And I was listening to
- 28:22Speaker 1: the story before these accusations from the Republicans. They're just
- 28:26Speaker 1: so nonsensical, the idea that Democrats are somehow trying to
- 28:32Speaker 1: force them and control them to wear masks, like what's
- 28:35Speaker 1: the master plan here that democrats walking while I'm wearing
- 28:38Speaker 1: masks so they can make you wear a mask, like
- 28:41Speaker 1: can we please use our heads here? This is not
- 28:43Speaker 1: this is nonsensical. And the members of Congress who are
- 28:49Speaker 1: saying the things that they're saying, like which is it?
- 28:52Speaker 1: Is it we wear a mask or we get vac
- 28:53Speaker 1: to say, oh, I'm so confused. If you're that can
- 28:56Speaker 1: be used over what's happening. You shouldn't be in Congress
- 28:58Speaker 1: because you're not smart enough. Okay, you shouldn't be in
- 29:01Speaker 1: Congress because you're not smart enough. So we'll just mock
- 29:05Speaker 1: your intelligence, tell you you're stupid. If you ask any
- 29:10Speaker 1: questions about the logic of what Fauci in the NIH
- 29:15Speaker 1: or anybody else says, we'll just mock the hell out
- 29:17Speaker 1: of you and say you're too stupid to be in Congress.
- 29:23Speaker 1: This is how they're going to try to get control
- 29:25Speaker 1: of all of us through mass mandates. If you question them,
- 29:28Speaker 1: they will brate you, they will mock you, they will
- 29:30Speaker 1: attack you. That's what they're going to do, all right.
- 29:36Speaker 1: If you're listening to this our podcasts, remember you can
