- 1:24Speaker 1: to meet you in Philadelphia, was doing a que Harris show.
- 1:28Speaker 1: It was a great meeting you. Your personality video, you know,
- 1:32Speaker 1: tell us about yourself a little bit so we can
- 1:34Speaker 1: then let go over the flour and I just want
- 1:36Speaker 1: to introduce the artists, the artists and my my base,
- 1:39Speaker 1: my podcast based by syndicated radio based to eat you
- 1:42Speaker 1: on your individual and we just start talking about the
- 1:44Speaker 1: show and your individual success stories that you're creating away
- 1:47Speaker 1: from the show. Don you're first, okay, well, you know
- 1:50Speaker 1: of course done. You know Black and Chargo man Mack
- 1:53Speaker 1: also in him a well man just uh you know,
- 1:55Speaker 1: a young all going to race in Chicago. Uh. It
- 1:59Speaker 1: was a blood and to join my color group of brothers.
- 2:03Speaker 1: And it's opportunity and U endeavor that comes to you know,
- 2:07Speaker 1: being a part of v H one, being a part
- 2:09Speaker 1: of UHL can creat Chicago and the brand and the
- 2:11Speaker 1: team that we created again you know, humble, humble upbringings,
- 2:16Speaker 1: say basketball, the whole locks in Chicago. Remember we're talking
- 2:19Speaker 1: a little bit, uh in Philly. I was telling you
- 2:21Speaker 1: about me attending Lake University absolutely out of Missouri. Sir, Well,
- 2:27Speaker 1: you know I'm gonna get you down for that. Now,
- 2:29Speaker 1: you just schedule a block September through HBCU. We went
- 2:33Speaker 1: went in Delaware already told him that we're gonna get
- 2:35Speaker 1: you down there, man, because you know that whole HBC.
- 2:38Speaker 1: You think giving that Brandon, I really was happy you
- 2:40Speaker 1: told me your background because we want to collect because
- 2:43Speaker 1: you're an influencer and we gotta have influencers there who
- 2:47Speaker 1: attract everybody. And let him understand that HBC is a
- 2:50Speaker 1: brand that has been underserved as far as being recognized
- 2:54Speaker 1: for what the efforts they are doing in the corporate
- 2:56Speaker 1: and everyday life community. So that was awesome, brother concluded completely. Yeah,
- 3:01Speaker 1: So you know, leaving that and coming home from that experience,
- 3:05Speaker 1: uh to join my brothers and this opportunity has been
- 3:08Speaker 1: nothing but a blessing because those lessons have uh you know,
- 3:11Speaker 1: while rowing have taught me how to handle this opportunity,
- 3:15Speaker 1: uh to my career paths, you know, uh, you know,
- 3:20Speaker 1: two years down the line from now. Absolutely when we
- 3:23Speaker 1: get to four at four and just let you know, man,
- 3:25Speaker 1: I spent five years in Chicago. I was up there
- 3:27Speaker 1: with Steve Harvey executive DUS and co created his talk
- 3:31Speaker 1: show up there. So from telve to six, I was
- 3:35Speaker 1: up there. So I know it's about the code up there.
- 3:37Speaker 1: But you guys, yeah, you guys, just let y'all know.
- 3:42Speaker 1: We got a little history together. So I was I've
- 3:44Speaker 1: been up there, so we speak to you when you
- 3:46Speaker 1: speak to Chicago. To me, I know about Chicago. It's
- 3:49Speaker 1: fifty degrees in June. Okay, it's it's it's it can
- 3:51Speaker 1: get crazy up there. So for talk me about you
- 3:54Speaker 1: hip hop background and everything you're trying to strive for.
- 3:56Speaker 1: A man, I really like your the role that you
- 3:58Speaker 1: play because it's not a character you. And so then
- 4:01Speaker 1: we're gonna break down some of the cast members so
- 4:03Speaker 1: we can educate everybody, because you know, when I see
- 4:06Speaker 1: Black in Crewe Chicago commercials running down football games, that's
- 4:10Speaker 1: a whole new game that's playing out for You're y'are
- 4:13Speaker 1: showing a whole new audience. So I know some more
- 4:16Speaker 1: additional blessings that happened because of that additional exposure. But
- 4:19Speaker 1: let's find out a little bit more about about you
- 4:21Speaker 1: for um. You know, uh, it's definitely um a blessing
- 4:27Speaker 1: with the platform that we have been from the South
- 4:29Speaker 1: side of Chicago, you know, boring and raised, um, you know,
- 4:33Speaker 1: to to basically just be a you know, inspeigration for
- 4:36Speaker 1: our city, you know, and show you know people that
- 4:39Speaker 1: not from Chicago. You know what I mean that it
- 4:41Speaker 1: is not always as bad as the same. There are
- 4:43Speaker 1: good parts. There are you know, great people here as well.
- 4:45Speaker 1: You know, you're just trying to be role model to
- 4:47Speaker 1: our people and people pretty much people who can relate
- 4:49Speaker 1: to our story. You know. Me, I'm definitely a survivor
- 4:52Speaker 1: from mental illness issues, you know, so U having my brothers,
- 4:57Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, uh, pretty much you know,
- 4:58Speaker 1: be there for me, you know, play the big part.
- 5:00Speaker 1: So I try to now just you know, spread the
- 5:03Speaker 1: love and spread those words to you know, help someone
- 5:06Speaker 1: else through their journey, you know, whatever it is that
- 5:08Speaker 1: they're going through. You know, we lost a sister, you
- 5:10Speaker 1: know what I'm saying to you know, mental illness so
- 5:12Speaker 1: we just try to now you know, just be you
- 5:14Speaker 1: know leaders, you know that, and just motivate our people,
- 5:17Speaker 1: you know, rather through the music, but rather to look
- 5:19Speaker 1: you see on tv UM just to see our growth.
- 5:21Speaker 1: We've been on uh like in Cruce, Chicago now for
- 5:24Speaker 1: six seasons. So you know, now we're just trying to
- 5:26Speaker 1: you know, keep our journey going and just doing things
- 5:28Speaker 1: the right way and you know, showing people how to
- 5:30Speaker 1: be you know bosses instead of you know, always works
- 5:33Speaker 1: like we can do it. We're powerful, we got you know,
- 5:35Speaker 1: the right mindset. We just gotta you know, you gotta
- 5:38Speaker 1: you gotta do it. Well, it's really important what we're
- 5:40Speaker 1: to do. It's really important that you guys are speaking
- 5:42Speaker 1: this way because these shows are you called reality series
- 5:45Speaker 1: or docusent, they're really commercials the platforms too. You know,
- 5:49Speaker 1: grow your brain, promote your brain. If you have if
- 5:52Speaker 1: you have a product you want to say, you get
- 5:53Speaker 1: it out on the show and it's and you be
- 5:55Speaker 1: remissed if you don't do that. Now done, you want
- 5:57Speaker 1: to get into acting, I'm just let you know. You
- 5:59Speaker 1: may not know my background, but you know, you know sitcoms,
- 6:03Speaker 1: blockbuster movies. You might want to you might want to
- 6:05Speaker 1: google me, my brother, you might want to google me
- 6:08Speaker 1: and so because uh and so when I look at
- 6:12Speaker 1: you as an active okay, when you when you when
- 6:16Speaker 1: you when I when I saw you, first of all,
- 6:17Speaker 1: you you're good looking guy. Let's go and put that
- 6:19Speaker 1: out there. Okay. And but your and your personality was
- 6:22Speaker 1: really engaging. Okay, you articulate. So when you when you
- 6:26Speaker 1: look at your the structure of competition out there, are
- 6:28Speaker 1: you gonna okay you Chicago or not? They do have
- 6:31Speaker 1: acting opportunities in Chicago. But you know l A. A
- 6:35Speaker 1: lot of people moved to Atlanta, but really they should
- 6:37Speaker 1: go to l A. When I see the word acting
- 6:40Speaker 1: trying to pursue that, what does that mean? Because you
- 6:42Speaker 1: know l A is what you gotta be. No, l
- 6:48Speaker 1: A completely completely the uh my ultimate goal. You know,
- 6:51Speaker 1: we have my brother talk about leaving Chicago is on
- 6:54Speaker 1: the top of the list for opportunities. Hello, yeah, I'm
- 6:57Speaker 1: still here, wait knowing your brother, because I just know that,
- 7:01Speaker 1: I just know that. You know when you're doing that,
- 7:04Speaker 1: you're taking the acting classes. What when you say acting
- 7:06Speaker 1: to pursuing it? Just give us a little more audition
- 7:08Speaker 1: other than the roles that you're playing. Are the are
- 7:11Speaker 1: they are? The series of Black Ink Chicago? What are
- 7:13Speaker 1: the things? When you say you're pursuing it? What are you?
- 7:16Speaker 1: What are you? What experiences are you? Are you are
- 7:19Speaker 1: pursuing it? To grow that, to grow that end of
- 7:21Speaker 1: your business, because I know that four his hip hop career,
- 7:24Speaker 1: you got five albums, he's dropped, so he's in that lane,
- 7:27Speaker 1: he's he's he's rolling. So on the acting in Where
- 7:29Speaker 1: are You at? Oh well, for me, of course, acting
- 7:33Speaker 1: classes a month. I'm constantly trying to master that craft,
- 7:37Speaker 1: even if I'm at home doing uh practice of myself self.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Take anything I can do to keep bettering at the craft.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Right now, I'm participating in three or four different one slaves.
- 7:49Speaker 1: That's the constantly get comfortable with being uncomfortable when you
- 7:52Speaker 1: step in front of that live crowd and the live
- 7:55Speaker 1: audience and you have to sell them the moment, the dream,
- 7:59Speaker 1: based believing the character. For me, that's a humble and
- 8:02Speaker 1: experience as an actor. I think transitioning from page to
- 8:06Speaker 1: on camera that has made it easier for me to
- 8:09Speaker 1: do or camera actor because there's nothing like being in
- 8:12Speaker 1: front of the live audience and uh, you don't get
- 8:15Speaker 1: a second take its crowd. It pushes me to really
- 8:21Speaker 1: go home and study my line, study my craft, study
- 8:23Speaker 1: my character. Uh. And for me, it's become fun. It's
- 8:26Speaker 1: become a passion. Um. That's why I'm always in the gym.
- 8:28Speaker 1: That's why my mom was on top of my health.
- 8:30Speaker 1: I constantly want to uh be able to deliver my
- 8:34Speaker 1: character and deliver this. Uh. You know, my skill sets
- 8:38Speaker 1: that the maximum ability. So uh for me, it's just
- 8:41Speaker 1: been constant reinforcement and getting the pavement right now, taken
- 8:44Speaker 1: on each and every opportunity that's given to me right now. Now,
- 8:48Speaker 1: that's really great. I'm talking to Don and for Broomfield
- 8:50Speaker 1: as b r U M F I E L D
- 8:53Speaker 1: there from the hit series Black Inch. Cargo airs every Wednesday,
- 8:56Speaker 1: eight eastern seventh Central on v H one. Met Don
- 8:59Speaker 1: of and up in Philadelphia. Great, great, great gentlemen. You know,
- 9:04Speaker 1: came in commanded the room. You know people are running
- 9:07Speaker 1: up to them. Get this autograph. I got a self
- 9:09Speaker 1: here with him too. Then my then my PR person
- 9:11Speaker 1: done messed it up. I couldn't even post it. Man,
- 9:14Speaker 1: I got I got got we gotta selfie. I can't
- 9:17Speaker 1: even post them the next time I coming because I'm
- 9:19Speaker 1: coming to Chicago for the NBA All Star Games. So
- 9:21Speaker 1: if you guys around, which I'm sure you will be,
- 9:24Speaker 1: let's connect because I would love to sit down just
- 9:25Speaker 1: talk about because that's why I created money Making Conversation,
- 9:28Speaker 1: to be able to sit down and listen to people
- 9:30Speaker 1: dreams and then help. And I'm not asking for any
- 9:33Speaker 1: money when I when I said that God is giving
- 9:34Speaker 1: me a many lands of success, many many lance of success,
- 9:38Speaker 1: and many relationships, and all I try to do it
- 9:40Speaker 1: just point people in different directions. When we come back
- 9:42Speaker 1: with more money making Conversation, I'm gonna start my interview
- 9:45Speaker 1: again with my man for because he doesn't have to
- 9:47Speaker 1: worry by stage right, he doesn't have to worry by
- 9:49Speaker 1: live artists, because that's what he do. He's a hip
- 9:52Speaker 1: hop artist. He's out there doing his day imprompt on
- 9:55Speaker 1: top of the dome doing it. Right back with more
- 9:57Speaker 1: money making Conversations. I just Rashan McDonald, you were listening
- 10:00Speaker 1: to money making Conversations. I was been talking to the
- 10:03Speaker 1: brothers Room Fields. That's done and four from the hit
- 10:06Speaker 1: TV series Black Ink Chicago Crew, Black Black In Crew Chicago.
- 10:10Speaker 1: That there's every Wednesday, eight eastern, seventh Central on v
- 10:13Speaker 1: H one Now four. You said that you this season
- 10:17Speaker 1: and using the fact of depression and that part of
- 10:19Speaker 1: the mental health game that you want to use as
- 10:21Speaker 1: a platform. Explained to me exactly what are you trying
- 10:24Speaker 1: to distribute as far as information about that that area
- 10:28Speaker 1: of mental illness that people tend to just kind of
- 10:31Speaker 1: like push aside um, Well, at first, what I was
- 10:34Speaker 1: dealing with honestly, Um, what's something that was kind of
- 10:37Speaker 1: caught on camera just me having a moment. I was
- 10:39Speaker 1: trying to do my job, you know, the film and
- 10:41Speaker 1: you know, continue giving you know, uh, sitting in the
- 10:44Speaker 1: people a great show, you know, and keep going. But um,
- 10:46Speaker 1: you know I had had a moment where you know,
- 10:49Speaker 1: I actually broke down, you know, trying to do my
- 10:51Speaker 1: job and I had to step away. Took like three
- 10:53Speaker 1: three or four months of from filling and during that time,
- 10:57Speaker 1: I wouldn't get you know, help start doing therapy under
- 11:00Speaker 1: being around my loved ones, on my family or what
- 11:01Speaker 1: we're going on with me. And I also sat down
- 11:04Speaker 1: with Networks and um, they showed me the footage to
- 11:07Speaker 1: see how I felt about it, and at the time,
- 11:09Speaker 1: you know, I was two months in from getting helped,
- 11:11Speaker 1: so you know, um, as as much as you know,
- 11:14Speaker 1: he gave me chills watching it. I was looking at
- 11:17Speaker 1: the bigger kitchen, like you know, I pre out there.
- 11:19Speaker 1: You know, this is this, this reality cving is what
- 11:22Speaker 1: I went through. And um if I can you know,
- 11:24Speaker 1: help someone, you know, just at my level, just seeing
- 11:28Speaker 1: like you know, because everyone of things like you know,
- 11:29Speaker 1: when you're successful and you have same you're just good,
- 11:32Speaker 1: but they don't know what. You know, we go through
- 11:33Speaker 1: things too, So just to let people know that I'm human,
- 11:36Speaker 1: you know, you know, you never know what people are
- 11:38Speaker 1: going through. So I put it out there and the
- 11:41Speaker 1: impact was so big. Actually wasn't even looking for response life,
- 11:44Speaker 1: it was just it was what it was. Um. But
- 11:47Speaker 1: to see the impact and see many people reach out
- 11:49Speaker 1: to me daily steell you know, for help or answers
- 11:52Speaker 1: or just you know, uh a sense of direction, you know. Um,
- 11:55Speaker 1: you know, I realized that, you know, I do have
- 11:58Speaker 1: a bigger purpose, and um, you know, I was kind
- 12:00Speaker 1: of proud at the same time of myself and putting
- 12:02Speaker 1: out because just as much as I thought I was weak,
- 12:03Speaker 1: I realized that I was I was thronging up as well. Well,
- 12:07Speaker 1: it's really important that you because first of all, like
- 12:09Speaker 1: I'm a cancer survivor. You know, a lot of people
- 12:12Speaker 1: when they hear that, you know, they go, oh, you know,
- 12:13Speaker 1: because they just don't understand how to react to that.
- 12:16Speaker 1: You know, but you know, you have to be courageous
- 12:18Speaker 1: to realize that, you know, you've overcoming the odds and
- 12:21Speaker 1: people support you. You have your brother Don who's supporting you.
- 12:24Speaker 1: But your your your your illness played out in the
- 12:27Speaker 1: in the public on TV, and that can be manipulated
- 12:31Speaker 1: good and bad. And so it's important that what you're
- 12:33Speaker 1: saying and what you're communicating to the world is that
- 12:36Speaker 1: you are one of them, that that once you see
- 12:39Speaker 1: camp one should not ignore it as some as a
- 12:42Speaker 1: bad moment. And now when you're going through that process done,
- 12:44Speaker 1: how did it affect you and your brother, your relationship
- 12:47Speaker 1: with your brother? Well, before I have mentioned Empire before
- 12:52Speaker 1: you know, uh, you know, look at this just for
- 12:55Speaker 1: two years ago to suicide. Um, you know, just growing
- 12:58Speaker 1: up in Chicago has not been easy. Post that's for uh,
- 13:01Speaker 1: just trying to make it to this point of being
- 13:04Speaker 1: young men in their thirties now to be able to
- 13:07Speaker 1: be semi successful. Uh, to not have you know, reach
- 13:10Speaker 1: our ultimate goal, but to juice be better off than
- 13:13Speaker 1: what we were growing up. Man, that's accomplilated by myself.
- 13:16Speaker 1: So uh, you know, it was tough just knowing how
- 13:19Speaker 1: we grew up and just wanted to see my brother
- 13:21Speaker 1: be happy. And let's losing my sister. That was tough
- 13:24Speaker 1: on me. I couldn't Uh, I couldn't bear, you know,
- 13:26Speaker 1: watching another sibling go through this. And don't get me wrong,
- 13:30Speaker 1: you put me through my own uh you know, anxiety,
- 13:34Speaker 1: uh and my own depressed states just being worried. Uh
- 13:37Speaker 1: you know, when it's nothing worse than uh and you,
- 13:40Speaker 1: like you just said, being a cancer survivor, you can
- 13:42Speaker 1: only imagine how family members who can't do anything for
- 13:45Speaker 1: you have to sit there and just pry. All we
- 13:48Speaker 1: can do is to give you our energy and try
- 13:50Speaker 1: to be there for you. And there's nothing we can do.
- 13:52Speaker 1: And that's one of the most uh, I could say,
- 13:54Speaker 1: helpless feelings you can never have as a person. Um.
- 13:58Speaker 1: And for me, it's just it's been a journey of
- 14:01Speaker 1: trying to heal myself, uh so that I can further
- 14:04Speaker 1: help my families, my siblings, my wife, you know, my children,
- 14:08Speaker 1: anybody that's connected to me continue to grow. Um. And
- 14:12Speaker 1: that's why people have seen the bond between me, my
- 14:16Speaker 1: brother Ryan, you know, the people that are around with
- 14:20Speaker 1: our core has just become closer because at some point
- 14:23Speaker 1: we just realized that we're better off as a team
- 14:25Speaker 1: than its individuals. And that's the best thing we can
- 14:28Speaker 1: be for each other. Just the constant energy resource, uh,
- 14:31Speaker 1: to keep providing each other with positive energy, to keep
- 14:33Speaker 1: getting getting by daily. Uh. It's hard enough to go
- 14:36Speaker 1: by life alone wanted to be successful, but it feels
- 14:40Speaker 1: just a little bit easier when you know that you
- 14:41Speaker 1: have a team of friends who are genuinely wanted to
- 14:44Speaker 1: see you happy, grow and expand, whether it's business wise,
- 14:49Speaker 1: emotional wise, physical wise. And that's just what I've been
- 14:52Speaker 1: here trying to do, just constantly being reinforcement of love
- 14:56Speaker 1: energy and trying to provide like just a positive baby
- 14:59Speaker 1: uh rotation that's just helps us get back because these
- 15:02Speaker 1: things his own prospect. It's amazing that hen you say
- 15:05Speaker 1: that that that connection, because you're so articulate and it
- 15:08Speaker 1: was passionate, it was no stuttering. It was like, this
- 15:11Speaker 1: is a message that you live with every day. I
- 15:13Speaker 1: know when I lost my sister to cancer. You know,
- 15:15Speaker 1: there's nothing I could do. You know, it's just so
- 15:17Speaker 1: when I was diagnosed, you know, it was a helpless feeling.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Like you said, all you can do it just pray.
- 15:21Speaker 1: You know, you can't be a doctor. You can't. You
- 15:23Speaker 1: don't know what the doctor's gonna say. You don't know
- 15:25Speaker 1: that stage and but you have to. But it plays
- 15:28Speaker 1: out because I'm a I'm a public figure, so nobody
- 15:31Speaker 1: has sympathy for me. I can't go out there and
- 15:32Speaker 1: ask for people to feel sorry. And you guys are successful,
- 15:35Speaker 1: you're good looking guys. You on TV, you know, and
- 15:38Speaker 1: people feel when you're on TV, there's a lot of
- 15:40Speaker 1: great things happening for you. You should be happy every day.
- 15:43Speaker 1: But life doesn't play out that way. It doesn't play
- 15:45Speaker 1: out that way. And so they believe that we're perfect.
- 15:49Speaker 1: They believe that we are you know, y'all got money
- 15:52Speaker 1: to like, they got no idea what we're really going
- 15:56Speaker 1: through at home and being uh for Boden and being
- 15:59Speaker 1: the fort Show, the whole family world. That pressure alone.
- 16:03Speaker 1: It's tough. You know, it's really interesting because I because
- 16:07Speaker 1: I lived in Chicago five years and you know, you
- 16:09Speaker 1: know what they mentioned about being black men in Chicago,
- 16:11Speaker 1: because Chicago doing the summertime, it's crazy. The homicide rate,
- 16:16Speaker 1: especially around the Fourth of July is like off the chain.
- 16:20Speaker 1: And you know, it's almost like sometimes a black man
- 16:22Speaker 1: in Chicago was like a dead man walking up there,
- 16:24Speaker 1: and I it was it was it was really when
- 16:26Speaker 1: you when you when you want to talk about the
- 16:28Speaker 1: helpless feeling, that's when you really get help because you
- 16:30Speaker 1: don't know what you can do. And so so as
- 16:33Speaker 1: a hip hop artist, for does that impact the message
- 16:36Speaker 1: you're trying to deliver in your music or just living
- 16:38Speaker 1: everyday life? Uh of Chicago? Is that's what you're just
- 16:41Speaker 1: trying to get out there? Just just just from an
- 16:43Speaker 1: international standpoint, what is the message? Honestly? I mean, honestly
- 16:48Speaker 1: this is I love Chicago, you know what I mean?
- 16:51Speaker 1: But sometimes they hate our mentality, but it's just who
- 16:54Speaker 1: we are as people. UM. I definitely would like to
- 16:57Speaker 1: see you know, um, you know us do better as
- 17:00Speaker 1: a as a whole, just as people. You know in
- 17:03Speaker 1: our community. You know, I think we need more leaders. Uh,
- 17:07Speaker 1: you know, I can't I can't say what what the
- 17:10Speaker 1: what the homicide numbers look like to share. Um, we
- 17:13Speaker 1: we're just from what we've been from, you know what
- 17:14Speaker 1: I mean. You're from the you know, you're from the streets.
- 17:16Speaker 1: So you know, we just try to better ourselves as
- 17:18Speaker 1: you get older. Some people, you know, grow up cooking
- 17:20Speaker 1: than others, and some people just like being a product
- 17:22Speaker 1: of the environment. But um, we just try to always
- 17:25Speaker 1: you know, in Chicago looks like this. It's just all
- 17:28Speaker 1: about your energy, you know. I mean, like if you're
- 17:30Speaker 1: looking for something, you go you're a power you're looking
- 17:31Speaker 1: for you know what I mean. But if you have
- 17:33Speaker 1: a a positive mindset, you know, uh, it don't matter
- 17:37Speaker 1: what what kind of rooms then with you know, if
- 17:39Speaker 1: you're that person that's trying of U bring empowerment, like
- 17:43Speaker 1: you're gonna stand out like a lot of people that
- 17:45Speaker 1: may have like I've been the only positive person in
- 17:48Speaker 1: the negative room, you know, and people that have negative
- 17:51Speaker 1: intentions to hurt people and this and that they they
- 17:54Speaker 1: it's a respect level when you walk in the room,
- 17:56Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Some people do know how
- 17:57Speaker 1: to you know, uh, put turn it off and on,
- 18:00Speaker 1: you know what I mean, when it when it's time,
- 18:02Speaker 1: you know what I mean. So it's just about you know,
- 18:04Speaker 1: just about what you can bring to the table, you know,
- 18:06Speaker 1: and all we can do is just keep trying to
- 18:08Speaker 1: you know, motivate and you know, push somebody to you know,
- 18:11Speaker 1: make a change. You know, some people some people are
- 18:13Speaker 1: some people aren't. But that like we can't really control that.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Just all about knowing what you what you gotta do
- 18:17Speaker 1: for you and yours. Man, you know, you can't save everybody. Um,
- 18:21Speaker 1: but that's why all we do on olages continue to
- 18:23Speaker 1: be their leaders. Um. Just just even with people seeing
- 18:25Speaker 1: us on TV, they may just think is just focus
- 18:28Speaker 1: on the drama or you know, uh, just just us
- 18:31Speaker 1: getting the check. But at the same time we're trying
- 18:32Speaker 1: to actually lead our people who you know, especially in Chicago,
- 18:35Speaker 1: you know, motivating to just you know, do something different.
- 18:38Speaker 1: So it's it's it's always you. You always have to
- 18:40Speaker 1: sit in like a lot of people. I know. I
- 18:43Speaker 1: remember a couple of my friends that have sons that
- 18:45Speaker 1: grow up there that's in high school. You know. I
- 18:47Speaker 1: listened to their stories and they tell me, like their
- 18:49Speaker 1: sons sometimes that their kids sometimes have to adapt to
- 18:52Speaker 1: what's going on so they won't do picked on you know.
- 18:54Speaker 1: I mean, so sometimes people may just gonna do something
- 18:56Speaker 1: that I want to do, just so they won't be
- 18:58Speaker 1: the one is getting picked on, you know. Uh so, um,
- 19:01Speaker 1: you know, it's just it's just sad, you know what
- 19:03Speaker 1: I mean. But I feel like that in the next
- 19:06Speaker 1: few years and the hopefully we can just you know,
- 19:08Speaker 1: see a change in the city. You know just what
- 19:11Speaker 1: it is. It's the city that hates itself. So yeah,
- 19:14Speaker 1: it's some good people here, you know what I mean.
- 19:15Speaker 1: But all we gotta do right now is is what
- 19:17Speaker 1: we can you know, put out, you know, and hopefully
- 19:19Speaker 1: people you know someday changes, you know, slow process, you
- 19:22Speaker 1: better than the process. Well, I'm tasting for and Done.
- 19:25Speaker 1: The articulation man, the words, the stories that you're telling,
- 19:29Speaker 1: Oh might show that their money making conversation. I'm talking
- 19:31Speaker 1: to Done and for Broomfield. They were on the show,
- 19:35Speaker 1: the hit Show because I see it on the NFL
- 19:36Speaker 1: commercials Now Black in Cruise Chicago airs every Wednesday at
- 19:40Speaker 1: eight eastern step and Central. You guys are influencers and
- 19:43Speaker 1: I would just tell you something done when I met you,
- 19:46Speaker 1: you know you you it's it's a it's an aura
- 19:49Speaker 1: the RADII from you that I liked that I that
- 19:51Speaker 1: I gravitated to you know, and I've been around a
- 19:54Speaker 1: lot of successful people. I'm a successful person. You have it, man,
- 19:57Speaker 1: and and for and meeting you for the first time
- 19:59Speaker 1: in here and how you talk, you got it too.
- 20:01Speaker 1: So that means that you two are influencers. It's continue
- 20:05Speaker 1: that mantle of influencing because I have I'm hosting the
- 20:09Speaker 1: panel tonight for big Brothers Big Sisters. It's called Real
- 20:13Speaker 1: Men Who Mentor, and I'm hosting that tonight. I got
- 20:16Speaker 1: my barn Rico leave or Boy, Harry Duggas from the
- 20:18Speaker 1: Atlanta Faccusins, and other people que Parker from one twelve.
- 20:23Speaker 1: We all get in there and eight hours a day
- 20:26Speaker 1: for that's all. We have to get one year. And
- 20:27Speaker 1: I'm not engaging you to do this. I'm just telling
- 20:30Speaker 1: you what we have to do as leaders. We have
- 20:32Speaker 1: to commit our time elsewhere and here you too talk dude. Y'all. Y'all,
- 20:38Speaker 1: y'all some bad boys. Man, y'all are some bad boys.
- 20:41Speaker 1: I'm just gonna let you all know that. Thank you, brother.
- 20:45Speaker 1: We're just trying to continue to grow. Um. Like you said,
- 20:48Speaker 1: you know, us going on in Chicago has been a
- 20:50Speaker 1: journey in itself. Uh, you know, I like a lot
- 20:54Speaker 1: of youths today, they don't have opportunities. We had getaways
- 20:59Speaker 1: time to say like this is a reminder of the
- 21:01Speaker 1: things that we do daily. Uh. You know, my brother
- 21:04Speaker 1: is a witness and I was working. I was trying
- 21:05Speaker 1: to school to streak kids working with the eth of
- 21:07Speaker 1: Chicago continue to create constant programs to trying to continuely grow. Uh.
- 21:14Speaker 1: So you know, UH, this type of conversation will help us.
- 21:17Speaker 1: We have these kids at an earlier age avenue with success,
- 21:22Speaker 1: uh and learning that every kid is not gonna be
- 21:24Speaker 1: an athlete. Every kid is not gonna you know at
- 21:27Speaker 1: shale in school. So conversations like this, we'll teach our
- 21:30Speaker 1: kids about early entrepreneurship. Some of these kids are brilliant
- 21:33Speaker 1: to where they can come from out of high school
- 21:35Speaker 1: on their own business. And these are type of things
- 21:37Speaker 1: I want to teach them that will help them straight
- 21:38Speaker 1: away from the street, like uh, spread away from the
- 21:41Speaker 1: negative activities that they have to participate in just to
- 21:43Speaker 1: get back. Um. So the younger we could teach them
- 21:46Speaker 1: about uh, leadership and entrepreneurship and being their own leaders
- 21:51Speaker 1: in boltics. I think that's just going what's going to
- 21:53Speaker 1: help trying papago a land because every kid wants that
- 21:56Speaker 1: need to be a rapper or athlete, because they believe
- 21:58Speaker 1: like that's the way out. And I wanted to give
- 22:00Speaker 1: them the jewels and the tools to be successful way
- 22:03Speaker 1: earlier than what we were. It took up, we eventually
- 22:06Speaker 1: figured it out. But if I could give that to
- 22:08Speaker 1: a fifteen year old and picking or seven years and
- 22:10Speaker 1: dollars that I have now, I think that's gonna make
- 22:12Speaker 1: a way bigger impact, uh than a lot of other
- 22:15Speaker 1: things that we can do. My man, this is awesome. Uh.
- 22:18Speaker 1: First of all, I didn't I need to talk about
- 22:20Speaker 1: I know the cast members because you guys are so engaging.
- 22:24Speaker 1: You guys are so special and know this. You can
- 22:27Speaker 1: keep Rushan mcgal naming your roller text roller deck. So
- 22:30Speaker 1: if you ever need me to come up there, I
- 22:32Speaker 1: come up on my own dime. I pay for my
- 22:33Speaker 1: whole hotel, I pay for my own uber to come
- 22:36Speaker 1: to your advantage and support you. I'm just that way.
- 22:38Speaker 1: I'm just that way. It's a gift you gotta give
- 22:40Speaker 1: to get, and to get I'm getting a relationship. If
- 22:43Speaker 1: I give the relationship right, then we're gonna all win.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Because all we're trying to do is provide opportunities. And
- 22:47Speaker 1: I'm gonna just tell you something else. Both done and four,
- 22:50Speaker 1: you're doing way bigger things outside of Chicago, Okay, So
- 22:54Speaker 1: it's a it's an impact everywhere. That's when I met Don.
- 22:56Speaker 1: I said, I gotta have you and win with him.
- 22:58Speaker 1: He said, I'll be there and guess what it's like,

- 23:14Speaker 1: year gonna be. You won't have me up there looking
- 23:17Speaker 1: cool and not warm. I'll be both. I'll talk to
