Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / GOP Gaining Midterm Momentum, Sen. Cruz Does A Deep Dive Into All The Major Races You Need To Watch!
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: We're just days away from the biggest midterm election that
- 0:03Speaker 1: we've had in a long time when it comes to
- 0:05Speaker 1: fighting for America. Plus, the Senator called out some people
- 0:10Speaker 1: on the View, including Hillary Clinton and Chelsea's fighting back.
- 0:13Speaker 1: And finally, what do you need to do to get
- 0:15Speaker 1: ready for election day? And how are the races looking?
- 0:18Speaker 1: This is verdict with Ted Cruz, Senator. We're just days
- 0:22Speaker 1: away from a midterm election. You've been barnstorming the country
- 0:25Speaker 1: helping so many candidates, and we're going to talk about
- 0:28Speaker 1: how to really look at this Senate race and the
- 0:31Speaker 1: House and if we're going to flip in a moment.
- 0:33Speaker 1: But there was something special that happened. There is a
- 0:36Speaker 1: video that has been put out that is a montage
- 0:39Speaker 1: of the View lying about your appearance and Chelsea Clinton
- 0:43Speaker 1: coming after you. This had to make you laugh and
- 0:47Speaker 1: smile a little bit. See Chelsea Clinton try to rewrite
- 0:49Speaker 1: history and you got to bust her out. Well. Look,
- 0:51Speaker 1: as we talked about earlier on the pod, going on
- 0:54Speaker 1: the View was amazing. Fund They're not used to anyone
- 0:57Speaker 1: challenging them. They're not used to anyone presenting anything other
- 1:00Speaker 1: than the hard left partisan prop again, and they kind
- 1:03Speaker 1: of lost their mind and they couldn't let it go.
- 1:07Speaker 1: So even though we got into it a week ago,
- 1:10Speaker 1: the last few days they had Chelsea Clinton on and
- 1:12Speaker 1: they asked her about what I had said, and in
- 1:15Speaker 1: particular that Hillary Clinton had gone on their show and
- 1:19Speaker 1: it said that President Trump's election was illegitimate, and they well,
- 1:25Speaker 1: watch what Chelsea said, Hey, look at this, it's hysterical.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Senator Ted Cruz, who was here on the show when
- 1:31Speaker 1: we pressed him on the Maga Republican's election denial, he
- 1:35Speaker 1: did whip out some sort of prop and he argued
- 1:37Speaker 1: that your mother did the same thing. I do think
- 1:41Speaker 1: that he knows that he's an illegitimate president. What's your
- 1:47Speaker 1: last funny? So I'm pretty sure that I remembered that.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Next day, I was standing behind her when she conceded, yes,
- 1:52Speaker 1: he's an illegitimate president, and that she said while she
- 1:55Speaker 1: had campaigned very hard against President Trump, she hoped that
- 2:00Speaker 1: he would be a president for all Americans, illegitimate president.
- 2:03Speaker 1: You know, I think that Senator Cruz just might have
- 2:05Speaker 1: a slightly different memory of that. I do think that
- 2:09Speaker 1: he knows that he's an illegitimate president. They sat here,
- 2:15Speaker 1: yes and said it was Jill legitimate, and you guys,
- 2:17Speaker 1: we're fine with it. I do think that he knows
- 2:22Speaker 1: that he's an illegitimate president, and because of that, the
- 2:27Speaker 1: chairman of the January sixth committee objected to a prior
- 2:31Speaker 1: presidential election. Representative Raskin, the lead prosecutor for the impeachment,
- 2:36Speaker 1: objected to a prior presidential about hypocrisy. Anytime a Republican
- 2:42Speaker 1: is in front of a TV camera, try to say
- 2:45Speaker 1: the election was fair and square and legitimate. You know who,
- 2:47Speaker 1: y'all don't do that too. You don't do it to
- 2:49Speaker 1: Hillary Clinton, who stood up and said Trump, it's a fact.
- 2:54Speaker 1: There's the video. I hope everyone will share this video,
- 2:57Speaker 1: put it out on social media, share the pie cast,
- 3:00Speaker 1: wherever you get your podcasts. Please share this moment because
- 3:03Speaker 1: it's just a great example of where we are, not
- 3:06Speaker 1: only with the media, but also with a Democratic party.
- 3:09Speaker 1: They know they can go on these shows say whatever
- 3:10Speaker 1: they want to say, and they will always give them cover,
- 3:14Speaker 1: even if the lie was told on the same show. Well,
- 3:17Speaker 1: and look at it is interesting. Chelsea was lying on
- 3:23Speaker 1: behalf of her mother and the media host were trying
- 3:26Speaker 1: to help her. So what I said was Hillary Clinton
- 3:30Speaker 1: came on the View and said Donald Trump's selection was illegitimate,
- 3:35Speaker 1: and in fact the hosts agreed with it. Now, mind you,
- 3:37Speaker 1: when I said it last week, Whoopie Goldberg immediately chimes
- 3:40Speaker 1: in it was so they still think Trump's selection was illegitimate.
- 3:44Speaker 1: They don't back away from it at all. They're happy
- 3:46Speaker 1: to embrace their double standard. And what Chelsea answers a
- 3:52Speaker 1: non sequitor where she says, well, I was behind my
- 3:54Speaker 1: mom when she gave a speech. Okay, I didn't say
- 3:57Speaker 1: she gave a speech, or didn't I said she went
- 3:59Speaker 1: on the View and said the election was a legitimate
- 4:01Speaker 1: that he was an illegitimate president. And it is a
- 4:06Speaker 1: deliberate strategy of partisan Democrats to say things that are
- 4:09Speaker 1: just flat out false. Why because the fawning propagandists of
- 4:14Speaker 1: the media will amplify it. There is an objective answer.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Did Hillary Clinton say on the View to rapturous applause
- 4:24Speaker 1: and happiness from the left wing host that Donald Trump
- 4:29Speaker 1: was an illegitimate president? There is an answer. The answer
- 4:32Speaker 1: is yes, and no amount of spinning can change that.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Even this week concern me because we now know that
- 4:37Speaker 1: apparently the FBI is already looking into misinformation and disinformation
- 4:42Speaker 1: to affect the midterm elections. It's almost like they're getting
- 4:45Speaker 1: their game plan ready, which is if we lose the
- 4:48Speaker 1: House and we lose the Senate center that immediately it's
- 4:51Speaker 1: the fault of some sort of propagandists Russia or whatever
- 4:54Speaker 1: country they want to bring up now to say this
- 4:58Speaker 1: wasn't a legitimate election, and we're going to undermine the
- 5:00Speaker 1: victory of Republicans and undermine the votes of every American
- 5:04Speaker 1: that clearly seem to be leaning towards we want to change.
- 5:07Speaker 1: I think that's exactly right. They cannot accept election. Democrats
- 5:12Speaker 1: have challenged every Republican presidential election since the year two thousand.
- 5:17Speaker 1: That has been their pattern over and over again, and
- 5:20Speaker 1: Hillary setting the stage. When Democrats lose in twenty twenty two,
- 5:23Speaker 1: they're gonna say it's illegitimate. When Democrats losing twenty twenty four,
- 5:26Speaker 1: they're gonna say it's illegitimate, and all throughout they're going
- 5:29Speaker 1: to say it's the Republicans who are the election deniers.
- 5:31Speaker 1: We just think anytime we lose, it's illegitimate. I want
- 5:34Speaker 1: to do a deep dive, and I'm calling an audible
- 5:35Speaker 1: here because I think you just mentioned saying it's so important.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Is it the job of the DOJ, of the FBI
- 5:42Speaker 1: to spend as much time as they're spending as they
- 5:45Speaker 1: claim they're spending saying or claiming or looking into election,
- 5:50Speaker 1: you know, interference the way that they say that it's
- 5:53Speaker 1: out there. I mean, this has become an obsession. I
- 5:55Speaker 1: can't even imagine how much money they're spending on this.
- 5:58Speaker 1: We all know that foreign government try to interfere in elections.
- 6:01Speaker 1: I think it's pretty clear right now. The conversation we're
- 6:03Speaker 1: having in America is there's no third world country or
- 6:06Speaker 1: a major country that's influencing people's opinions right now. How
- 6:10Speaker 1: concerned are you that our actual government is spending this
- 6:13Speaker 1: much time involved in our elections. Well, I'm concerned enough
- 6:17Speaker 1: that I wrote a book that came out this last
- 6:19Speaker 1: week called Justice Corrupted. How the Left has weaponized the
- 6:22Speaker 1: legal system. And under Barack Obama now under Joe Biden,
- 6:27Speaker 1: the DOJ and the FBI and the IRS and the
- 6:29Speaker 1: CIA and the alphabet Soup of Washington has turned into
- 6:34Speaker 1: a partisan weapon for the Democrats. Look in the two
- 6:37Speaker 1: thousand election, we saw senior officials for the FBI go
- 6:42Speaker 1: to Facebook and ask them to pull down the Hunter
- 6:47Speaker 1: Biden laptop story. The Hunter Biden laptop story, which not
- 6:51Speaker 1: only wasn't misinformation, we now know what's true, so it
- 6:54Speaker 1: was literally they were political emissaries. Now it is a
- 6:58Speaker 1: special category of information online that Big Tech historically has
- 7:03Speaker 1: deeply disfavored. It's what I call true but bad for Democrats,
- 7:08Speaker 1: and true but bad for Democrats is their favorite category
- 7:11Speaker 1: of quote misinformation to suppress. And in that instance, you
- 7:16Speaker 1: literally had the FBI, mind you, the FBI while Trump
- 7:21Speaker 1: was president. So it's the deep state. It's the career,
- 7:25Speaker 1: senior career positions that have been infested with hard, vicious
- 7:31Speaker 1: partisans who viewed their job. We must take down the
- 7:34Speaker 1: elected president of the United States because we disagree with them,
- 7:37Speaker 1: and it's our job to topple the president. And Big
- 7:39Speaker 1: Tech was more than happy to salute and say, not
- 7:43Speaker 1: only will we take the content down, we will punish
- 7:45Speaker 1: any media outlet that reports on it. I mean, that's
- 7:49Speaker 1: the amazing thing is is the traditional media outlets have
- 7:54Speaker 1: completely handed their spines to Big Tech. Big Tech now
- 8:00Speaker 1: controls on the Hunter Boden laptop. Big Tech said, we
- 8:03Speaker 1: will ban you if you report on it and all
- 8:05Speaker 1: of the supposed you know, the Woodward and Bernsteins of
- 8:08Speaker 1: the world. Yeah, they are now just minor little employees
- 8:12Speaker 1: for Silicon Valley billionaires. And if you actually care about journalism,
- 8:18Speaker 1: that ought to trouble you deeply. But the left doesn't
- 8:20Speaker 1: care about journalism. No, they don't. And I think it's
- 8:23Speaker 1: very clear heading into the midterms how much water they're
- 8:25Speaker 1: willing to carry for Democrats, hoping that they can somehow
- 8:29Speaker 1: pull out some victories in some seats that they're desperate
- 8:32Speaker 1: to hold on too, so they don't lose total control
- 8:33Speaker 1: of the House as well as the sent at the
- 8:35Speaker 1: same time, and I want to get into how you
- 8:38Speaker 1: watch election night and what are the most important races
- 8:41Speaker 1: right now is we're about a week out. But before
- 8:42Speaker 1: we do that, I want to tell you about our sponsor,
- 8:45Speaker 1: Patriot Mobile. If you have a cell phone, you are
- 8:49Speaker 1: going to save money with Patriot Mobile. On top of
- 8:52Speaker 1: the fact that every bill you pay, they take a

- 8:57Speaker 1: and they support conservative causes and candidates around the country.
- 9:02Speaker 1: They send up for First and our Second Amendment rights,
- 9:05Speaker 1: they send up for the rights of the unborn, and
- 9:07Speaker 1: they even help when it comes to adoption now in
- 9:10Speaker 1: this country sends the overturning of Roe v. Wade. They

- 10:02Speaker 1: and there is a real concern now that we might
- 10:06Speaker 1: not be able to grab the Senate. I think there's
- 10:08Speaker 1: some confidence that we are going to be able to
- 10:10Speaker 1: grab the house. Let's start with your prediction on the
- 10:14Speaker 1: Senate and what are the races that people really need
- 10:17Speaker 1: to be focusing on. Yeah, so I am very confident
- 10:19Speaker 1: about this election. I think it's going to be a
- 10:21Speaker 1: really good election. In the House. I think we're going
- 10:24Speaker 1: to get a majority, and I think even potentially a
- 10:27Speaker 1: big majority of a majority that could be thirty forty
- 10:29Speaker 1: fifty seats. We'll talk about the House in a minute.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Let's talk about the Senate. I think we'll take the Senate,
- 10:34Speaker 1: and I think we'll get either fifty three or fifty
- 10:37Speaker 1: four seats in the Senate. Now that's gone up since
- 10:39Speaker 1: just a couple weeks ago. I was fifty three. I've
- 10:42Speaker 1: moved it. I'd say up fifty three or fifty four.
- 10:45Speaker 1: I'm probably fifty three and a half is where i'd
- 10:47Speaker 1: put it right now. And let me walk you through
- 10:49Speaker 1: because this is these races are specific, and most of
- 10:52Speaker 1: these candidates. I've been on the ground in the middle
- 10:55Speaker 1: of our seventeen state national bus tour, so I've been
- 10:57Speaker 1: campaigning in almost all these states. Let's break it into
- 11:01Speaker 1: three categories. Let's start with pickup opportunities, then let's start
- 11:06Speaker 1: with defense, and finally, I want to throw out a
- 11:08Speaker 1: couple of wild cards. Pickup, we have really six credible
- 11:13Speaker 1: pickup opportunities. Nevada is the number one pickup opportunity in
- 11:18Speaker 1: the country. I think we're gonna win Nevada. Adam lak
- 11:21Speaker 1: Salt is the nominee. Adam was the Attorney general. Adam
- 11:23Speaker 1: is a good friend. Adam is a conservative. He's running
- 11:26Speaker 1: against Catherine Cortes Masto. Nevada is historically a purple state.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Polling in that race is pretty consistently shown lack Salt
- 11:36Speaker 1: up three to four points. Not overwhelming, but it's been
- 11:39Speaker 1: pretty consistent. Cortes Mastow is vulnerable. She votes with Joe
- 11:42Speaker 1: Biden almost one hundred percent of the time. She does
- 11:45Speaker 1: not have much of a presence in the state. I
- 11:48Speaker 1: think Nevada is and lack Salt is also a really
- 11:51Speaker 1: good candidate. And I do think candidate discipline matters. Having
- 11:55Speaker 1: someone who knows how to run a campaign, knows how
- 11:57Speaker 1: to not say stupid things and blow themselves up, that matters.
- 12:00Speaker 1: I think Adam is bang on message, an amazing job
- 12:03Speaker 1: of staying on message in that race. Adam has also
- 12:05Speaker 1: done a really good job of unifying the hardcore Trump
- 12:10Speaker 1: supporters in the state and the Republicans who are not
- 12:13Speaker 1: as keen about Donald Trump, and that's just a difficult
- 12:16Speaker 1: dynamic for any candidate running because you've got different slices
- 12:19Speaker 1: of Republicans and to get to fifty you usually need
- 12:23Speaker 1: to get them all together. Adam's done a good job
- 12:25Speaker 1: of bridging that without without causing any internal battles. So
- 12:30Speaker 1: I think Nevada is the number one pickup opportunity in
- 12:32Speaker 1: the country. I think the number two pickup opportunity in
- 12:33Speaker 1: the country is Georgia. Georgia. Herschel Walker is running against
- 12:39Speaker 1: Raphael Warnock. Look, Walker has the reverend. Don't forget the
- 12:43Speaker 1: reverend guy that makes more money being a reverend at church.
- 12:45Speaker 1: He doesn't really go too very often than he does
- 12:47Speaker 1: in the US Senate. You know it is. I was
- 12:50Speaker 1: just with Herschel a couple of days ago. We did
- 12:53Speaker 1: a couple of big rallies on the ground in Georgia.
- 12:56Speaker 1: I was really encouraged the rallies. We had huge crowds,
- 13:00Speaker 1: incredible enthusiasm. I was talking to Herschel. He and I
- 13:03Speaker 1: grabbed some barbecue for lunch and we were talking about
- 13:06Speaker 1: how the crowds are markedly different from what the Georgia
- 13:12Speaker 1: crowds were in the runoff two years ago. So I
- 13:15Speaker 1: was there campaigning for Purdue and Leffler, and I have
- 13:19Speaker 1: to admit the results didn't surprise me because you could
- 13:22Speaker 1: see when you were there, you can feel it. They
- 13:24Speaker 1: were demoralized, they were pissed, they were depressed. You'd show
- 13:31Speaker 1: up with a Senate candidate in Georgia and the activists
- 13:34Speaker 1: are yelling at them like they were angry. And listen,
- 13:39Speaker 1: it is a reality. If your voters stay home, you
- 13:41Speaker 1: lose elections. And that Georgia runoff Republicans stayed home. It's
- 13:47Speaker 1: night and day. The energy and enthusiasm. And listen Herschel,
- 13:51Speaker 1: Herschel's or rock star. I gotta say also, I campaigned
- 13:54Speaker 1: with Herschel a couple of months ago. The difference between
- 13:57Speaker 1: a couple of months ago and now Hersch was on fire.
- 14:01Speaker 1: I was really impressed. He's gotten He's never you know.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Part of it is I think Warnock pissed him off
- 14:08Speaker 1: because it's gotten so nasty, it's gotten so personal. They've
- 14:11Speaker 1: gone after him, they've gone after his family. I think
- 14:16Speaker 1: Kerschel has responded, he's gotten angry, he's standing up. I
- 14:19Speaker 1: think he went after and debated Warnock effectively. Warnock came in.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Warnock maybe the candidate with the greatest divergence between his
- 14:30Speaker 1: voting record and the voters of that state. I think
- 14:32Speaker 1: George is a fundamentally read state and Warnock is a
- 14:36Speaker 1: hardcore leftist. He's one of the most liberal Democrats in
- 14:40Speaker 1: the Senate. At the end of the day, that divergence
- 14:43Speaker 1: is significant, and I think Walker wins. The question is
- 14:48Speaker 1: going to be does Walker break fifty percent, because we
- 14:51Speaker 1: could see an outcome there's a third party candidate. We
- 14:54Speaker 1: could see an outcome where Walker wins and say has
- 14:58Speaker 1: forty nine percent and Warnock has forty seven percent, which
- 15:04Speaker 1: sends us to another runoff. And so one possible outcome
- 15:07Speaker 1: that nobody wants to see is another Georgia runoff that
- 15:10Speaker 1: could conceivably decide control of the Senate. I hope that
- 15:13Speaker 1: doesn't happen. It is not certain whether Herschel will break
- 15:17Speaker 1: fifty this time around. I'd really like him to break
- 15:19Speaker 1: fifty and just be done with it. Sure, that's the
- 15:22Speaker 1: second best pick of opportunity. The next tier is two
- 15:26Speaker 1: other races, and that's Arizona and New Hampshire. Arizona's Blake Masters.
- 15:31Speaker 1: He's running against Mark Kelly, Mark Kelly is a very
- 15:36Speaker 1: effective candidate. He's a Navy Veteran's an astronaut. You know,
- 15:40Speaker 1: he looks like Captain America, and his campaign adds he
- 15:46Speaker 1: might as well be Donald Trump. He's running as a
- 15:48Speaker 1: conservative's Mark Kelly secures the border. Now, mind you, every
- 15:53Speaker 1: single time, one hundred percent without exception, when it comes
- 15:56Speaker 1: to a vote, Mark Kelly votes rope and borders like
- 15:59Speaker 1: it is the most But if it was bizarre thing
- 16:02Speaker 1: you've seen, and I got to give credit to his
- 16:04Speaker 1: campaign as political campaign. They figured out what the people
- 16:07Speaker 1: wanted to hear, and they have a candidate that's effective
- 16:10Speaker 1: at telling you that that's who he is, even though
- 16:12Speaker 1: that's not what his voting record actually is at all. Yep. Well,
- 16:15Speaker 1: that was something that Herschel and I were talking about
- 16:18Speaker 1: when I was campaigning with him, which is that Democrats
- 16:22Speaker 1: win when they lie effectively. Republicans win when we tell
- 16:25Speaker 1: the truth effectively. Because the policy views of Democrats are
- 16:32Speaker 1: wildly out of step with the voters. So the Democrats
- 16:35Speaker 1: that are really effective campaigners are the ones that pretend
- 16:37Speaker 1: they don't believe what they actually believe. Sure, on the
- 16:39Speaker 1: other hand, Republicans win when we effectively cut through the
- 16:43Speaker 1: media lies and explain what it is that we in
- 16:46Speaker 1: fact believe. Look, Blake masters, he went through a really
- 16:49Speaker 1: rough primary and then came out of the primary with
- 16:55Speaker 1: no money. And so a month ago Blake was down
- 16:58Speaker 1: probably eight ten points points, and there were some national
- 17:02Speaker 1: Republicans who were writing the race off and saying it
- 17:04Speaker 1: can't be one. The recent polling that we have shows
- 17:08Speaker 1: the race effectively tied. Now Mark Kelly has unlimited cash
- 17:12Speaker 1: and he's spent I think over sixty million dollars hammering Blake,
- 17:16Speaker 1: and it's incredible claiming to be someone he's not. I
- 17:19Speaker 1: think Blake has a real good shot at winning that race,
- 17:21Speaker 1: and I'm I've campaigned there, did a big rally with him.
- 17:26Speaker 1: One of the reasons that I think Blake is more
- 17:30Speaker 1: likely than not to win that race is Kerry Lake
- 17:33Speaker 1: is going to win governor and that's actually one of
- 17:35Speaker 1: the reasons I think Herschel is going to win and
- 17:37Speaker 1: both of those states you've got, Kemp is going to win.
- 17:41Speaker 1: In Georgia, he could win eight nine ten points if
- 17:45Speaker 1: that happens. I have a hard time envisioning who is
- 17:50Speaker 1: the Georgia voter who goes in and votes for Kemp,
- 17:53Speaker 1: And yeah, I would say that. And there's are two
- 17:56Speaker 1: totally polar opposite candidates at the same time, and you
- 17:59Speaker 1: have a hard time imagining that you would actually be
- 18:02Speaker 1: that deliberate and say Republican here for governor, liberal liberal,
- 18:07Speaker 1: hardcore democrat for Senate. You know, guy who's praised Fidel Castro.
- 18:10Speaker 1: I mean that that hardcore socialist. There is some risk
- 18:16Speaker 1: in Georgia there will be some voters who vote for
- 18:18Speaker 1: Camp and don't vote in Senate. Yeah, that's possible if
- 18:23Speaker 1: Kemp is winning eight nine ten points. I just don't
- 18:25Speaker 1: believe it's going to be eight nine ten points of
- 18:27Speaker 1: the electorate. Same thing in Arizona. Carry Lake is a
- 18:30Speaker 1: really strong candidate. I went and turned into rock star.
- 18:32Speaker 1: You've been around her, you spent time with her. I
- 18:35Speaker 1: think she's one of those candidates that you say, oh like,
- 18:39Speaker 1: not just oh as a governor, like, oh like, this
- 18:42Speaker 1: could be a new voice in the conservative movement. Yet
- 18:44Speaker 1: she is already a star. When she wins, she's going
- 18:46Speaker 1: to be a bigger star. I did a big rally
- 18:48Speaker 1: with both her and Blake. She's very impressive. The polling
- 18:53Speaker 1: there shows her pretty consistently up about four to five points.
- 18:57Speaker 1: I think if Lake wins by five points, Blake wins. Also,
- 19:01Speaker 1: if Lake only wins by two or three points, Blake
- 19:04Speaker 1: could lose that race. So it depends on movement. But
- 19:07Speaker 1: Arizona is a very winnable race. The next state that
- 19:11Speaker 1: we have a decent shot at is New Hampshire. New Hampshire.
- 19:15Speaker 1: The Republican nominee is General Don Buldock. He was a
- 19:19Speaker 1: retired general served thirty plus years of the military. New
- 19:24Speaker 1: Hampshire is a purple state. The incumbent Democrat, Maggie Hassan,
- 19:30Speaker 1: I think is quite vulnerable. Her approval rating is consistently
- 19:36Speaker 1: below fifty percent. Joe Biden's approval rating in the state
- 19:40Speaker 1: is terrible. I think it's in the thirties. I was
- 19:42Speaker 1: just saying in the thirties last week when I was
- 19:44Speaker 1: looking at that race. Bulldock doesn't have much money and
- 19:48Speaker 1: the National Republicans haven't been putting a whole lot of
- 19:50Speaker 1: money into it. Both Arizona and New Hampshire have been
- 19:54Speaker 1: on the short end of the stick with battles with
- 19:57Speaker 1: Mitch McConnell and his superpack. Not sure whether they're going
- 20:01Speaker 1: to invest or not. And so you know our number
- 20:05Speaker 1: three on number four pickup opportunity. We're sending our candidates
- 20:09Speaker 1: into fights where they're being out spent three to one,
- 20:13Speaker 1: five to one, ten to one. The money differential is massive.
- 20:17Speaker 1: But I think Bulldock could be one of the real
- 20:20Speaker 1: surprises on election night because he has not been given
- 20:24Speaker 1: the resources frankly needed to make that state fully competitive.
- 20:27Speaker 1: But I think it would not surprise me at all
- 20:30Speaker 1: to see General Bulldock win that race despite not having
- 20:34Speaker 1: the reinforcements he needed. When you see that, there's a
- 20:36Speaker 1: lot of people that are going to be listening and
- 20:38Speaker 1: watching and they're gonna say, there we go again the
- 20:41Speaker 1: Republican you know leadership screwing this up. How frustrating is
- 20:45Speaker 1: it when you see opportunities like this New Hampshire being
- 20:47Speaker 1: a sleeper race and having these you know kingmakers as
- 20:51Speaker 1: I call them, like, Nope, we've already said that one's
- 20:53Speaker 1: impossible to come back from. It's going to go to
- 20:55Speaker 1: the Democrats. We're moving on to these other races when
- 20:58Speaker 1: in reality they should have died there early on. Well
- 21:01Speaker 1: there's a reason for that, which is the single largest
- 21:04Speaker 1: funder of Republican Senate candidates as Mitch McConnell's superpack. Mitch
- 21:09Speaker 1: puts all of his money behind moderates and incumbents, and
- 21:12Speaker 1: conservatives get left alone. Conservatives get star for resources, and
- 21:17Speaker 1: Republican donors give to that superpack knowing that that's not
- 21:21Speaker 1: going to go to conservatives. And right now I'm trying
- 21:24Speaker 1: to fill that void in house races, and in house
- 21:26Speaker 1: races I'm backing conservatives because Republican leadership does the same thing.
- 21:30Speaker 1: They back moderates, they don't back conservatives with anywhere near
- 21:34Speaker 1: the same financial resources. And so look, part of the
- 21:37Speaker 1: reason why Arizona and New Hampshire not getting the funding
- 21:40Speaker 1: that they deserve is that both of those candidates are
- 21:45Speaker 1: strongly aligned with Donald Trump, and Republican leadership doesn't like that.
- 21:50Speaker 1: My view is, I want to win and have a
- 21:52Speaker 1: majority of strong conservatives, and I think it was a
- 21:57Speaker 1: mistake not to invest more vigorous slee in both Arizona
- 22:02Speaker 1: and New Hampshire. Look, Arizona, you had an added complication
- 22:06Speaker 1: in that Blake Master's main financial donors, Peter Teele, someone
- 22:12Speaker 1: I know very very well. Peter and Mitch McConnell were
- 22:16Speaker 1: each look eat each other going, you fund the race. No,
- 22:18Speaker 1: you fund the race, And for a long time they
- 22:21Speaker 1: left Blake out there gasping for air. I talked at
- 22:26Speaker 1: that point, right, I'm like, I don't care who funds
- 22:27Speaker 1: the race, but somebody fund the damn race, because let's
- 22:30Speaker 1: not give away a win. I think we could end
- 22:33Speaker 1: up winning both those states anyway, but there needs to
- 22:35Speaker 1: be a serious discussion about how to ensure that strong
- 22:40Speaker 1: conservative candidates actually have the funds to communicate our messages.
- 22:45Speaker 1: All right, Two more pickup opportunities that are long shots
- 22:48Speaker 1: but but not impossible, Colorado and Washington State. Colorado has
- 22:55Speaker 1: also been a purple to blue state, but in a
- 22:58Speaker 1: good year, a Republican can win in Colorado. Cory Gardner
- 23:01Speaker 1: in twenty fourteen was elected in Colorado. Joe O'Day, who's running,
- 23:07Speaker 1: I think, is a good candidate. I think Michael Bennett,
- 23:10Speaker 1: the incumbent, is very vulnerable. He's done nothing in his
- 23:15Speaker 1: entire time in the Senate. He is an empty suit.
- 23:18Speaker 1: He is not well known in the state. Colorado has
- 23:23Speaker 1: gotten bumpier because O'Day and Trump are in a pissing match,
- 23:27Speaker 1: and it, you know, it makes you want to just
- 23:31Speaker 1: just jump out a window. O'Day foolishly went on a
- 23:37Speaker 1: Sunday show and when asked about twenty twenty four, said, no,
- 23:40Speaker 1: Trump shouldn't run, and I will oppose him if he does. Now,
- 23:45Speaker 1: you might say, okay, if you're trying to appeal to
- 23:47Speaker 1: moderate independence, squish Colorado voters, Yeah, I understand why you
- 23:51Speaker 1: would say that. Still a bad move. Well, and it's
- 23:55Speaker 1: a bad move because if you understand the universe in
- 23:59Speaker 1: which we live, Donald Trump reacts to things like that,
- 24:03Speaker 1: and so Trump, I think, the next day, immediately came
- 24:06Speaker 1: out blasting O'Day and telling Republicans don't vote for the guy.
- 24:11Speaker 1: And you're just sitting there going, okay, great, So we're
- 24:13Speaker 1: going to elect the Democrat who votes pretty much one
- 24:17Speaker 1: hundred percent of the time with Schumer and Biden. You know,
- 24:23Speaker 1: O'Day would not be conservative in Texas, but in Colorado,
- 24:28Speaker 1: it'd be a great pickup in Colorado. I want people
- 24:31Speaker 1: to vote for Joe O'Day because I want Chuck Schumer
- 24:34Speaker 1: out of power. I wish O'Day had had the judgment
- 24:39Speaker 1: just not to poke the bear. Just don't don't piss
- 24:44Speaker 1: off Trump, because the races we lose are races where
- 24:48Speaker 1: there's a pissing match between the Republican candidate and Trump.
- 24:52Speaker 1: It's a seven inflicted wound almost every time when you
- 24:54Speaker 1: look at this map at this point, and do I
- 24:56Speaker 1: wish Trump would exercise the restraint not to take a
- 25:00Speaker 1: bat to him. Yes, but he's not going to, so
- 25:03Speaker 1: I might wish that all I want. He's not going to.
- 25:06Speaker 1: So that means a candidate ought to have the sense. Look,
- 25:10Speaker 1: it would have been very easy for a Day to say,
- 25:14Speaker 1: I'm not going to worry about twenty twenty four. It's
- 25:16Speaker 1: twenty twenty two. I'm on the ballot. The countries in crisis,
- 25:19Speaker 1: we've got to win. This is where anytime you have
- 25:23Speaker 1: first time candidates, you're rolling the dice. I talked about
- 25:26Speaker 1: Adam Laxalton, what I like about him. He's a discipline candidate.
- 25:30Speaker 1: Adam wouldn't have said that. It's a dumb thing for
- 25:34Speaker 1: a candidate to say, But first time candidates make that
- 25:37Speaker 1: mistake because they don't game gameplay through. Okay, if I
- 25:41Speaker 1: say this, what happens, what had caused and effect, that's
- 25:44Speaker 1: exactly right. So I don't think the chances in Colorado
- 25:49Speaker 1: are zero, But unfortunately it's gotten messier. I'm less optimistic
- 25:54Speaker 1: on Colorado now that I was two weeks ago. Still possible,
- 25:57Speaker 1: but it would take a really good, really good year,
- 26:01Speaker 1: and it would take a lot of Republicans being willing
- 26:04Speaker 1: to say, look, I'm going to overlook this fight between
- 26:07Speaker 1: him and Trump. Yeah, I will say, by the way,
- 26:12Speaker 1: I wish Trump was spending some of his money. Trump's
- 26:15Speaker 1: got one hundred million dollars and he's spending almost none
- 26:17Speaker 1: of it to support these candidates. That is not ideal
- 26:20Speaker 1: when Mitch McConnell only spends for the moderates of the
- 26:23Speaker 1: anti Trump candidates. It would be nice if Trump would
- 26:26Speaker 1: spend some of that one hundred million dollars to help
- 26:28Speaker 1: some of these candidates who Mitch is abandoning because they're
- 26:32Speaker 1: pro Trump. Those are the two pockets of money that
- 26:35Speaker 1: are there, and right now, neither of them are spending
- 26:39Speaker 1: in a number of these states. They're not all right.
- 26:42Speaker 1: So those are the six realistic pickup opportunities. Where are
- 26:48Speaker 1: we on defense? We're on defense in six states. So
- 26:51Speaker 1: these are states that are currently Republican but we could lose.
- 26:54Speaker 1: We're at fifty fifty, so we need a net of
- 26:56Speaker 1: plus one to take control of the Senate, the most
- 27:00Speaker 1: vulnerable incumbent Republican is Ron Johnson and Wisconsin, which is
- 27:04Speaker 1: shocking because he's a very conservative guy. He's been leading
- 27:08Speaker 1: on the issue of Hunter Biden and the Biden investigation
- 27:12Speaker 1: and some of the documents. We've been seeing more and
- 27:14Speaker 1: more come out about that in the last week or two.
- 27:16Speaker 1: I hope that helps him in that state. Why is
- 27:18Speaker 1: he so vulnerable though, because Wisconsin's a purple state. I mean,
- 27:22Speaker 1: Wisconsin is always a purple state. It's evenly divided. You've
- 27:25Speaker 1: got some very liberal voters there, You've got some very
- 27:28Speaker 1: conservative voters there. It's a very blue collar state. So
- 27:33Speaker 1: I think Ron's gonna win. And actually the current polling
- 27:36Speaker 1: shows him up four to five points. He's been pretty consistently.
- 27:40Speaker 1: The polling has been stronger both of Ron's previous elections.
- 27:44Speaker 1: He shocked the world by winning because the polsters and
- 27:47Speaker 1: the pundits at all City was gonna lose, and he
- 27:49Speaker 1: won twice in a row. I like Ron. Ron is
- 27:52Speaker 1: one of my closer friends in the Senate. He's a
- 27:54Speaker 1: strong conservative, He's a fighter. I've gone and campaigned with
- 27:57Speaker 1: Ron and Wisconsin. I think we're gonna win with consint.
- 28:00Speaker 1: It helps that Mandela Barnes, the Democrat, is really far
- 28:04Speaker 1: out there. He's been really vocal in favor of cash
- 28:07Speaker 1: less bail and abolishing the police. He's one of these
- 28:10Speaker 1: AOC socialists who the Democrats nominated, and I think that's
- 28:16Speaker 1: out a step with Wisconsin. So I feel pretty good
- 28:19Speaker 1: Ron will hold that seat. It's it's still seriously contested,
- 28:23Speaker 1: but I think we'll hold on to that. The next
- 28:27Speaker 1: most likely Republican seat for us to lose is Pennsylvania.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Pennsylvania right now is held by Pat Toomey. It's a
- 28:34Speaker 1: Republican seat. Like Wisconsin, Pennsylvania is a purple state. It
- 28:38Speaker 1: can vote Republican, it can vote Democrat. Right now, it
- 28:41Speaker 1: has one Democrat senator one Republican senator. That race has
- 28:47Speaker 1: been bumpy. Doctor Oz, the Republican candidate, had a vigorous
- 28:54Speaker 1: primary with another candidate, Dave McCormick, who I supported the primary.
- 28:58Speaker 1: I think would have been a very strong nominee. But
- 29:00Speaker 1: ozwe Oz had for a couple of months a pretty
- 29:06Speaker 1: bumpy general election campaign against John Fetterman, and he was
- 29:11Speaker 1: down ten points over a month ago. The race right
- 29:15Speaker 1: now is basically tied, so Oz has had a very
- 29:19Speaker 1: good month and Fetterman has had a terrible month. You
- 29:23Speaker 1: mentioned Feederman having a terrible month. Part of it is is, yes,
- 29:26Speaker 1: he had this stroke. Part of it was the debate
- 29:29Speaker 1: that he had. We talked about that on a previous verdict,
- 29:33Speaker 1: which was why would you even debate if you're clearly
- 29:35Speaker 1: in that in that place cognitively having a very hard
- 29:39Speaker 1: time communicating. But now he's got another big problem, and
- 29:42Speaker 1: that is he's screwing up on issues, fracking being number one.
- 29:47Speaker 1: I want people to take a look at this video
- 29:49Speaker 1: because this may be why he loses this race. Take
- 29:52Speaker 1: a look. In a twenty eighteen interview, you said, quote,
- 29:56Speaker 1: I don't support fracking at all. I never have. But
- 29:59Speaker 1: earlier this you told an interview or quote, I support fracking.
- 30:03Speaker 1: I support the energy independence that we should have here
- 30:06Speaker 1: in the United States. I've always supported fracking, and I
- 30:10Speaker 1: always believe that independence with our energy is critical and
- 30:14Speaker 1: we can't be held you know, you ransom to somebody
- 30:18Speaker 1: like Russia. But there is that twenty eighteen interview that
- 30:21Speaker 1: you said, quote, I don't support fracking at all. So
- 30:24Speaker 1: how do you square the two. I do support fracking,
- 30:32Speaker 1: and I don't, I don't, I support fracking, and I
- 30:38Speaker 1: stand and I do support fracking. There's nothing worse than
- 30:42Speaker 1: a flip flop in politics, especially on an issue that's
- 30:45Speaker 1: so important in Pennsylvania and fracking. The only thing I
- 30:48Speaker 1: think now that I realize is worse than that is
- 30:50Speaker 1: an incoherent flip flop. And this was that moment in
- 30:53Speaker 1: that race where I was like, it's not just that
- 30:55Speaker 1: you can't communicate, it's literally a flip flop with bad
- 30:59Speaker 1: communication where it looks like he's incoherent and just not
- 31:03Speaker 1: in control. That had to have an impact on the voters. Yeah. Look,
- 31:06Speaker 1: I think that that moment is one of the worst
- 31:11Speaker 1: moments I've ever seen in a political debate, particularly that
- 31:15Speaker 1: second question on fracking when she asks it. The silence,
- 31:20Speaker 1: the confusion, the eyes darting around, that he clearly has
- 31:25Speaker 1: no idea what's been being asked or what to say,
- 31:28Speaker 1: and he just repeats the line. All he knows to
- 31:31Speaker 1: say is I support fracking, because presumably someone trained him
- 31:35Speaker 1: to memorize that, but he's not. From that video, he's
- 31:40Speaker 1: not able to actually engage in a conversation with another
- 31:43Speaker 1: human being about substance, which is kind of a problem
- 31:46Speaker 1: because the job of the Senate and in tales, engaging
- 31:50Speaker 1: in lots of conversations about substance and hearings and making
- 31:52Speaker 1: determinations and judgment. I think that debate is unbelievably damaging.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Prior to the debate, my handicapping of Pennsylvania was it
- 32:03Speaker 1: was essentially a coin flip. If we were going to
- 32:06Speaker 1: lose a seat, it was going to be Pennsylvania. I
- 32:09Speaker 1: think after the debate the odds have shifted significantly to
- 32:16Speaker 1: Republicans winning, to oswinning. I think Oz is likely to
- 32:19Speaker 1: win now. One downside, there were hundreds of thousands of
- 32:22Speaker 1: Pennsylvania votes that had been cast already before that debate happened.
- 32:25Speaker 1: They early voting, There is big early voting, there is
- 32:28Speaker 1: big They put in place universal mail in ballots, an
- 32:32Speaker 1: incredibly foolish decision, a decision that invites voter fraud. But
- 32:37Speaker 1: one of the reasons it's a bad idea to have
- 32:39Speaker 1: such early voting is you bake in votes before late
- 32:42Speaker 1: breaking developments happened. So for all the people who voted
- 32:45Speaker 1: before the debate, they didn't see this, They didn't know
- 32:47Speaker 1: that they just voted for someone who can't answer simple
- 32:51Speaker 1: questions and has clearly been deceiving the voters by saying
- 32:55Speaker 1: he's up to the task. I want to ask you
- 32:58Speaker 1: in a human level. I watched that debate and I
- 33:03Speaker 1: genuinely felt bad for Fetterman. I also think, even after
- 33:07Speaker 1: that debate, seeing the way his campaign is obsessed with
- 33:10Speaker 1: just getting him over the finish line, and the Democratic
- 33:12Speaker 1: National Committee, the Democratic leadership, that I feel like they're
- 33:16Speaker 1: almost taking advantage of him. They know that clearly something's changed,
- 33:19Speaker 1: that he's been incapacitated. I'm sitting there going as a
- 33:22Speaker 1: human being, I want him to get as much help
- 33:24Speaker 1: as he can to overcome this stroke that he's had.
- 33:28Speaker 1: And they're just propping this guy up, saying we're gonna
- 33:31Speaker 1: keep forcing you down this election road. I found it
- 33:35Speaker 1: just completely disheartening it as a human being to see
- 33:38Speaker 1: them out there saying, no, no, no, we're gonna he's fine.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Shut up, stop asking questions. He's fine. Clearly he's not fine,
- 33:45Speaker 1: and they want to win this seat so bad they
- 33:47Speaker 1: don't care what happens to him. Even well, you know,
- 33:49Speaker 1: if they're willing to do that, think what they would
- 33:51Speaker 1: do to try to win the White House in twenty twenty. Yeah. Look,
- 33:55Speaker 1: it's the same thing they've done with Joe Biden. In
- 33:58Speaker 1: both instances, You've got someone with severe mental impairments that
- 34:03Speaker 1: their partisan interests are so important they're willing to weaken it.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Bernie's them. Just put them up there and attach a
- 34:09Speaker 1: pully raise their hand when they want him to raise it. Now,
- 34:12Speaker 1: I will say this. You said you feel sorry for him.
- 34:16Speaker 1: I gotta say, listen, I feel sorry that he's having
- 34:18Speaker 1: the health impairments. I don't don't wish ill healthy anyone.
- 34:23Speaker 1: But before his stroke, John Fetterman was a socialist. He
- 34:28Speaker 1: was a radical left winger. He was someone who repeatedly
- 34:32Speaker 1: vote voted to release murderers and violent criminals into the community. Murderers.
- 34:36Speaker 1: I want people to understand that it's almost been overlooked
- 34:39Speaker 1: by people act like this is normal. This is a
- 34:41Speaker 1: guy that actually said people that had murdered people been
- 34:43Speaker 1: convicted murdering, with no controversy around the the the indictment
- 34:48Speaker 1: and the verdict of being guilty should be out on
- 34:52Speaker 1: the streets with the American He said repeatedly that that
- 34:55Speaker 1: that we could release a third of the people in
- 34:57Speaker 1: prison in Pennsylvania and there would be no harm to it.
- 35:01Speaker 1: That is a radical view if you want to empty
- 35:04Speaker 1: out the jail and release a third of the people immediately.
- 35:07Speaker 1: And we're not talking traffic offenses. We're talking murderers, we're
- 35:12Speaker 1: talking rapists, we're talking child molesters. I have less sympathy
- 35:17Speaker 1: for someone who is a true radical, who is a Marxist,
- 35:22Speaker 1: and like many Marxists, he's rich, rich people offense. Look,
- 35:27Speaker 1: he has a trust fund. He was a giant man baby,
- 35:32Speaker 1: living with his mommy and daddy till he was forty.
- 35:35Speaker 1: He didn't pay his own taxes, he didn't pay as
- 35:37Speaker 1: school taxes for thirteen consecutive years. People who inherit great
- 35:43Speaker 1: wealth and advocate for socialism because they feel guilty about
- 35:48Speaker 1: the great wealth and so they think socialism is the
- 35:50Speaker 1: right answer. I don't have a lot of sympathy for them,
- 35:52Speaker 1: and I think some of it is because my family
- 35:55Speaker 1: story in Cuba. I've seen what communism does, and I
- 35:58Speaker 1: don't have empathy for people that want to inflict that
- 36:03Speaker 1: kind of misery on Americans. I will say this, though
- 36:08Speaker 1: the Democrats are desperately telling themselves the Fetterman debate didn't
- 36:14Speaker 1: do any harm. Now quietly in Washington. They're freaking out,
- 36:17Speaker 1: but but they're trying to spend it otherwise. And in fact,
- 36:20Speaker 1: Chuck Schumer was caught in a hot mic. I was
- 36:23Speaker 1: just saying, I want to play this because he was
- 36:25Speaker 1: caught in a hot mic, and it was really telling
- 36:28Speaker 1: about where the Democrats are going into the election day.
- 36:31Speaker 1: Take a listen to this danger use the word danger
- 36:57Speaker 1: there well, and it's interesting. So what he says we're
- 37:00Speaker 1: in danger is of losing in Georgia. And he says
- 37:03Speaker 1: we're slipping in Georgia, and he's acknowledging. And actually the
- 37:07Speaker 1: debate made a difference there Warnock. The expectations were so high,
- 37:11Speaker 1: and he's a preacher, he's very smooth, he's very eloquent,
- 37:14Speaker 1: he's very slick, and Herschel Walker did a very smart
- 37:19Speaker 1: job of downplaying expectations. And you know, before the debate,
- 37:24Speaker 1: Herschel would say, well, you know, he's a very slick
- 37:26Speaker 1: preacher man. He knows he'll talk really, you know, really well.
- 37:30Speaker 1: And he said, you know, I'm just a country boy
- 37:32Speaker 1: from Georgia. That was very herschel knew exactly what he
- 37:35Speaker 1: was doing setting expectations. And I think the contrast there
- 37:40Speaker 1: Herschel won that debate, which was particularly damaging to Warnock
- 37:45Speaker 1: because it exposed just how extreme and radical his policies were.
- 37:51Speaker 1: And that's what Schumer is telling Biden is we're in
- 37:54Speaker 1: real danger. We're slipping. In Georgia, they're recognizing, Oh, he's
- 37:59Speaker 1: in trouble. He also tells Biden there the good news
- 38:03Speaker 1: is he doesn't think the debate hurt them in Pennsylvania.
- 38:05Speaker 1: So we'll see. Listen, with the hardcore Democrats, if you're
- 38:09Speaker 1: a hard partisan, if you're a socialist, you're gonna vote
- 38:12Speaker 1: for Fetterman, and you're gonna vote for Warnock no matter what.
- 38:14Speaker 1: He's probably right, and look you're hearing more and more chattered.
- 38:18Speaker 1: The Democrats plan is to try to get Fetterman elected
- 38:21Speaker 1: and then if he's completely unable to do the job,
- 38:24Speaker 1: have him resign and fill him with fill him in
- 38:26Speaker 1: with another Democrat. That this is all about power, and
- 38:29Speaker 1: he's just fill in the blank right here. I don't
- 38:35Speaker 1: think Schumer's right, though. I think he's right with his
- 38:37Speaker 1: hardcore partisans. But with the soccer Mom vote, you know,
- 38:43Speaker 1: the Philly suburbs, you've got a lot of voters that
- 38:46Speaker 1: have historically been swing voters that have been sometimes Republicans,
- 38:52Speaker 1: sometimes Democrats. They're the voters that elected Pat Toomey. I
- 38:58Speaker 1: don't think if you're a suburban mom and you watch
- 39:01Speaker 1: that you have any confidence about Federman. I think you
- 39:04Speaker 1: look at him and say, I've got real concerns there,
- 39:08Speaker 1: And so I think Schumer is wrong about that. All right,
- 39:10Speaker 1: where else are we on defense? We're on defense in
- 39:13Speaker 1: North Carolina, Republican retiring there. Ted Budd is the nominee.
- 39:17Speaker 1: I was campaigning with Ted earlier this week. I think
- 39:20Speaker 1: Ted's gonna win. I think he's a smart candidate. I
- 39:23Speaker 1: think he's running a good campaign. North Carolina is historically
- 39:27Speaker 1: a purple state. You can't take it for granted. Yeah,
- 39:29Speaker 1: you've got to fight hard there. Every time. It is
- 39:31Speaker 1: almost always a race that is decided by a couple
- 39:33Speaker 1: of points. So I actually worry about North Carolina. I
- 39:37Speaker 1: think Republicans are taking it a little two for granted
- 39:40Speaker 1: because Ted Budd is a good enough candidate. They're like, oh,
- 39:43Speaker 1: we're fine. Historically this has been a dangerous state, and
- 39:48Speaker 1: so I think we'll win, but we need to take
- 39:50Speaker 1: it seriously. Ohio jd Vance is the nominee. I spent
- 39:55Speaker 1: an entire day campaigning with JD. We did events all
- 39:58Speaker 1: over the state with huge crowd which which goes back
- 40:01Speaker 1: to when you're on the road, you can feel momentum.
- 40:05Speaker 1: And I've always said you can tell how election is
- 40:08Speaker 1: going to turn if it's a tight election based on momentum.
- 40:11Speaker 1: The momentum there seemed to be massive. I even I
- 40:14Speaker 1: think I texted you that I was having fomo fear
- 40:17Speaker 1: of missing out because it seemed like it was such
- 40:20Speaker 1: a raw, intense, grand debate that was happening, and an
- 40:24Speaker 1: amazing electric crowd when you were there with him. Yeah. No,
- 40:27Speaker 1: I think that's exactly right. I will say JD is
- 40:29Speaker 1: also running a smart, disciplined campaign. He's a first time candidate.
- 40:34Speaker 1: I was concerned when he started that that with first
- 40:38Speaker 1: time candidates they're prone to mistakes. That that it. I
- 40:43Speaker 1: was really impressed. He's doing a good job on the stump.
- 40:45Speaker 1: He's doing a good job with the grassroots. His messaging
- 40:49Speaker 1: is tight and disciplined, he's not screwing up, and the
- 40:53Speaker 1: polling there is pretty consistently showing it with him up
- 40:57Speaker 1: about four or five points. I think we'll be fine
- 40:59Speaker 1: and Ohio, it helps that dewined. The incumbent governor is
- 41:04Speaker 1: going to be reelected by double digits. So we've got
- 41:06Speaker 1: another another state where a governor has a big, big margin,
- 41:10Speaker 1: and that should help the Senate candidate as well. Two
- 41:15Speaker 1: more places were on defense Missouri Republican retirement Roy Blunt.
- 41:20Speaker 1: Eric Schmidt is the nominee. He's the attorney general. I
- 41:24Speaker 1: campaigned for him in the primary. Did events all over.
- 41:27Speaker 1: I think the primary really really mattered. The one candidate
- 41:32Speaker 1: who could have lost that race was Eric Gryden's. Eric
- 41:35Speaker 1: Gryten's was the former governor of Missouri. He resigned in
- 41:41Speaker 1: disgrace and scandal. There were a number of different scandals,
- 41:46Speaker 1: including a fundraising scandal, but the one that really stuck
- 41:50Speaker 1: in people's minds was that he was accused of having
- 41:55Speaker 1: an affair and tying up his mistress in his basement
- 41:57Speaker 1: and then taking a picture of her against her wishes
- 42:01Speaker 1: and using it to blackmail her. Pretty ugly stuff. Yeah,
- 42:05Speaker 1: and he resigned from governor in disgrace. I don't know
- 42:10Speaker 1: the truth or falsity of any of it. What I
- 42:12Speaker 1: will say I sort of joked, I said, look for Republicans.
- 42:17Speaker 1: I don't know that the bar for candidates needs to
- 42:19Speaker 1: be extraordinarily high. But is it asking too much that
- 42:24Speaker 1: our candidates not have tied a woman up in their
- 42:27Speaker 1: basement that that seems to me, Yeah, there should be
- 42:30Speaker 1: a standard above that. Yeah, it would should just be like, Okay,
- 42:32Speaker 1: that's a problem, let's not go with that. I think
- 42:36Speaker 1: if Gryton's had been the nominee, the Democrats would have
- 42:39Speaker 1: flooded money into that race and tried to make it
- 42:42Speaker 1: competitive With Eric Schmidt, He's the attorney general. He's a smart,
- 42:46Speaker 1: disciplined cannidy. He's a conservative. I think he'll be one
- 42:49Speaker 1: of the most conservative Republicans elected this cycle. So I've
- 42:53Speaker 1: done multiple events with Eric. I think Eric and Adam
- 42:56Speaker 1: Laxalt are the two most disciplined. This is not their
- 43:01Speaker 1: first rodeo, so they're running smart, careful discipline campaigns. Eric's
- 43:05Speaker 1: going to win that race, but it was one in
- 43:07Speaker 1: the primary. He's got a billionaire heiress, Trudy Bush, valentine
- 43:14Speaker 1: of Bush Beer. But at the end of the day,
- 43:20Speaker 1: Missouri is a red state and Eric is a good candidate.
- 43:23Speaker 1: He's gonna win that race. The final potential loss is Florida.
- 43:27Speaker 1: Marco Rubio's up again, Florida historically has been a purple state.
- 43:34Speaker 1: I think Marco's doing a good job, and this is
- 43:37Speaker 1: a pattern we're seeing a number of states. De Santis
- 43:39Speaker 1: is kicking ass and he's going to win I think
- 43:44Speaker 1: by a significant margin. And just like Georgia, just like Arizona. Like, yeah,
- 43:48Speaker 1: it'd be hard for you. Imagine you're walk in there
- 43:50Speaker 1: to vote for De Santis and you don't vote for
- 43:52Speaker 1: Marco Rubio. At the same time, well, now I will
- 43:54Speaker 1: say Marco's Democrat candidate is dangerous. They do a really
- 43:58Speaker 1: good job in can at its selection. His Democrat candidate
- 44:02Speaker 1: is val Demings. She's an African American woman. She was
- 44:05Speaker 1: a former police chief, and so one of the great
- 44:08Speaker 1: vulnerabilities Democrats have nationally is on crime, on abolishing the police,
- 44:11Speaker 1: on defunding the police. Val Demings is particularly able to
- 44:17Speaker 1: counter that attack because she was a cop for decades
- 44:20Speaker 1: and was a police chief, and that's just that attack
- 44:22Speaker 1: doesn't stick with her. Even so, Marco is a smart,
- 44:27Speaker 1: discipline candidate. Desanis has done a really good job as
- 44:31Speaker 1: governor of Florida. I think we'll be fine in Florida.
- 44:33Speaker 1: But those are those six are the universe of seats
- 44:37Speaker 1: we could lose. Now, let me throw two wild cards
- 44:40Speaker 1: in there. The two wild cards are Alaska and Utah.
- 44:46Speaker 1: So Alaska, you've got a weird race. You have Lisa Murkowski,
- 44:51Speaker 1: one of the two most moderate Republicans in the Senate
- 44:54Speaker 1: right now, and then you have Kelly Chebaca, who is
- 45:01Speaker 1: a challenger, a Republican, she is supported by Donald Trump,
- 45:05Speaker 1: she's a conservative, she's got a lot of grassroots support.
- 45:09Speaker 1: And then you've got a Democrat in the race. Now,
- 45:12Speaker 1: the polling right now between Murkowski and Chewbacca has been
- 45:17Speaker 1: back and forth and back and forth, and it appears
- 45:20Speaker 1: to be essentially tied. Mitch McConnell has put I think
- 45:23Speaker 1: seven eight million dollars into Alaska supporting McConnell. Mind you,
- 45:27Speaker 1: he's not spending that money in Arizona. He's not spending
- 45:29Speaker 1: that money in New Hampshire. He's spending it supporting Murkowski
- 45:34Speaker 1: in Alaska because he supports moderate Republicans and he doesn't
- 45:38Speaker 1: really want he knows it's going to be a vote
- 45:41Speaker 1: that that comes to Senate he can control. So I
- 45:44Speaker 1: will say in that race, the two of them appear
- 45:49Speaker 1: to be essentially tied. Alaska has this weird dynamic called
- 45:55Speaker 1: rank choice voting, which is you vote for your first
- 45:59Speaker 1: choice and you vote for your second choice, and if
- 46:02Speaker 1: your first choice doesn't finish in the top two, they
- 46:05Speaker 1: eliminate your first choice and they reallocate your vote to
- 46:09Speaker 1: your second choice. There is a danger we lose this seat,
- 46:15Speaker 1: that we elect the Democrat. And so I'm going to say, listen,
- 46:18Speaker 1: I have stayed out of the primary between Murkowski and Chewbacca.
- 46:24Speaker 1: In my entire time in the Senate, I have always
- 46:26Speaker 1: stayed out of primaries involving my colleagues because frankly, you
- 46:29Speaker 1: can't do the job. Yeah, involve that way if you
- 46:33Speaker 1: get involved, if you're primary your colleagues, it just makes
- 46:38Speaker 1: it impossible to actually, particularly in a close Senate, to
- 46:42Speaker 1: get the votes you need to advance the legislation you
- 46:45Speaker 1: need to fight for the thirty million Texans I'm elected
- 46:47Speaker 1: to fighting for. So I've stayed out of the primary.
- 46:52Speaker 1: I will say it follows the pattern of states where
- 46:56Speaker 1: we're in trouble, where Trump is in a battle with
- 47:00Speaker 1: the incumbent Republican. Of the Republican candidates, we talked about
- 47:02Speaker 1: that in Colorado. Trump and Murkowski hate each other's guts,
- 47:07Speaker 1: Trump blast Murkowski frequently, Murkowski voter doing peach Trump like
- 47:11Speaker 1: it's bad blood on both sides. Here's the one request
- 47:17Speaker 1: I'm going to make of Alaskans. If you vote for Chebaka,
- 47:26Speaker 1: put Lisa Murkowski as your second choice. And if you
- 47:29Speaker 1: vote for Murkowski, put Chebaka as your second choice. Now
- 47:33Speaker 1: that may be hard because they're beating the hell out
- 47:36Speaker 1: of each other and the sort of angry bad blood.
- 47:39Speaker 1: Here's what I don't want to have happened. They're both
- 47:42Speaker 1: at around forty and the Democrat is at around fifteen
- 47:47Speaker 1: to eighteen. If I don't want to see that, somehow
- 47:55Speaker 1: go to the Democrats. We'll see who wins. But I
- 48:03Speaker 1: don't want us to screw that up. It could easily
- 48:05Speaker 1: be screwed up. I want to wrap today by there
- 48:08Speaker 1: was a piece of audio that we played in an
- 48:11Speaker 1: earlier verdict, and and and by the way the way
- 48:14Speaker 1: it is screwed up. So look, we just saw this
- 48:17Speaker 1: happen in Alaska with ranked choice voting, which is the
- 48:21Speaker 1: incumbent Republican House member Don Young passed away. He was
- 48:27Speaker 1: the longest serving member of the House. He died died
- 48:29Speaker 1: on an airplane. Um died of old age. They had
- 48:33Speaker 1: a special election for you had a three person election,
- 48:40Speaker 1: Sarah Palin, Nick Begich, who was the son of actually
- 48:46Speaker 1: the Democrat senator, but the son is a Republican, and
- 48:49Speaker 1: then you had a Democrat. It was sixty percent of
- 48:54Speaker 1: the voters in Alaska voted for one of the two Republicans,
- 48:59Speaker 1: but for the Democrat. What happened, though, is when they
- 49:03Speaker 1: redistributed the votes, more of those votes got redistributed to
- 49:09Speaker 1: the Democrat than to Sarah Palin. And Alaska just elected
- 49:14Speaker 1: a Democrat to their one House seat. So it's the
- 49:16Speaker 1: same as the Senate. It's statewide. We just saw a
- 49:19Speaker 1: Democrat win because of ranked choice voting. For this to happen,
- 49:22Speaker 1: look if Murkowski and Chebaka are one and two, that's fine,
- 49:27Speaker 1: then it will be decided by the Democrats second choice
- 49:31Speaker 1: votes getting reallocated, and you have to assume almost all
- 49:34Speaker 1: of those go to Murkowski. The danger is if one
- 49:40Speaker 1: and two is either Murkowski and the Democrat or Chebaka
- 49:46Speaker 1: and the Democrat. That if one of the Republicans is third,
- 49:52Speaker 1: and if they hate the other Republicans so much that
- 49:55Speaker 1: they all put the Democrat as their second choice. We
- 49:58Speaker 1: could wake up and find out that we have a
- 50:01Speaker 1: Schumer Democrats Senate, because let's say we won Nevada and
- 50:06Speaker 1: lost Alaska. That would be a terrible outcome. We don't
- 50:09Speaker 1: want that to happen. The one other I want to
- 50:10Speaker 1: mention that we've talked about on this podcast before is Utah.
- 50:14Speaker 1: Utah is dangerous. It's typically a red state. Mike Lee,
- 50:18Speaker 1: who is a phenomenal Senator, a rock rib Conservative, a
- 50:22Speaker 1: constitutional conservativeh is my closest friend in the Senate. The
- 50:26Speaker 1: Democrats are running a profoundly dishonest campaign with a fake independent,
- 50:31Speaker 1: Evan McMullin. He is a Democrat, he's supported by the Democrats,
- 50:34Speaker 1: he's funded by the Democrats. He's going to vote with
- 50:36Speaker 1: the Democrats. He's going to support the Democrats. But he's
- 50:39Speaker 1: pretending to the Utah voters that he's an independent. And
- 50:43Speaker 1: the danger is there is no Democrat on the ballot.
- 50:46Speaker 1: This is sort of like the games in Alaska with
- 50:48Speaker 1: right choice voting. And by the way, Democrats love to
- 50:50Speaker 1: play games with democracy because they don't actually care about democracy.
- 50:54Speaker 1: They care about power. So whether it is electing a
- 50:57Speaker 1: John Fetterman who cannot process us and answer simple questions
- 51:01Speaker 1: in the English language, or using ranked choice voters voting
- 51:05Speaker 1: to elect a Democrat with sixty percent of the voters
- 51:07Speaker 1: vote for Republicans. Or fooling the voters of Utah by
- 51:11Speaker 1: not nominating a Democrat and having but endorsing the independent
- 51:15Speaker 1: who is their candidate. Yeah, the Democrat Party has formerly
- 51:18Speaker 1: endorsed him. He raises his money on Act Blue, which
- 51:20Speaker 1: is where all the socialists and liberals give their money,
- 51:22Speaker 1: and he's hired Democrat consultants to support him. He is
- 51:26Speaker 1: a Democrat, but their deceptive plan is get all the
- 51:30Speaker 1: deeds to vote for him, and just get five to
- 51:32Speaker 1: ten percent of the really moderate ours who say, gosh,
- 51:36Speaker 1: he seems like a nice young man and so we'll
- 51:40Speaker 1: go with him, and they could steal that seat, and
- 51:43Speaker 1: so Utah, Utah matters. I think Mike will win, but
- 51:49Speaker 1: the two wild cards in this or Alaska in Utah.
- 51:52Speaker 1: I want to end the podcast with something that I
- 51:55Speaker 1: think it went viral. We played a little bit of
- 51:58Speaker 1: a snip of the lies of the last year and
- 52:01Speaker 1: a half of the Democratic Party. And if you hear this,
- 52:06Speaker 1: share it with your family and friends. If you have
- 52:08Speaker 1: people that are on the fence, about what this election
- 52:11Speaker 1: is about. This montage that has been put together is
- 52:15Speaker 1: basically the big lies of the Democrats, the media helping
- 52:19Speaker 1: them sell these big lies. And I want people to
- 52:22Speaker 1: share this because it's so important that your family and
- 52:25Speaker 1: friends see this. This is what this race is about. It.
- 52:29Speaker 1: I'm talking about nation wide control, the House, control, the Senate.
- 52:32Speaker 1: We just broke down all these races. How important is
- 52:34Speaker 1: But if you want to remind people what Joe Biden,
- 52:38Speaker 1: Nancy Pelotian, Chuck Schumer have done to America, this is
- 52:42Speaker 1: that montage. Share it everywhere on social media. Share the podcast.
- 52:46Speaker 1: Take a look. You're not going to get COVID if
- 52:49Speaker 1: you have it. These vaccinations, vaccinated people do not carry
- 52:52Speaker 1: the virus, don't get sick. Getting those shots out for
- 52:55Speaker 1: five to eleven year olds is going to provide a
- 52:57Speaker 1: lot of comfort to American families. Is very running over
- 53:01Speaker 1: people being strapped, the horrific video of the CBP officers
- 53:05Speaker 1: on horse on horses using brutal and inappropriate measures against
- 53:08Speaker 1: innocent people. We have a secure border. The border is
- 53:13Speaker 1: in fact secure. The border is closed. The border is secure,
- 53:18Speaker 1: The border is secure, the border is closed. We've been
- 53:22Speaker 1: unequivocal in that on the issue of Afghanistan, and to
- 53:26Speaker 1: that end we have seen a successful drawdown of the embassy.
- 53:31Speaker 1: I think it's irresponsible to say Americans are stranded. They're not.
- 53:34Speaker 1: This is Jim Crow on steroids what they're doing in Georgia.
- 53:38Speaker 1: This is all about keeping working folks and ordinary folks
- 53:41Speaker 1: that I grew up with from being able to vote.
- 53:43Speaker 1: The Reconciliation package would cost zero dollars. The cost of
- 53:46Speaker 1: these bills in terms of value that the death is zero.
- 53:49Speaker 1: Some have expressed publicly that they're not comfortable with three
- 53:53Speaker 1: point five, even though zero costs zero dollars, zero, zero, zero.
- 53:59Speaker 1: This bill is fully paid for and will not raise
- 54:02Speaker 1: taxes on anyone making less than four hundred thousand dollars
- 54:05Speaker 1: a year. Let me say that again, be crystal clear.
- 54:08Speaker 1: No one making less than four hundred thousand dollars year
- 54:12Speaker 1: will pay a single additional penny in tax for all
- 54:15Speaker 1: these things that are in the and the Build Back
- 54:18Speaker 1: Better plan. If you're a husband and wife, school teacher
- 54:21Speaker 1: and a cop, you're paying at a higher rate than
- 54:24Speaker 1: the average person making a billion dollars a year. Is
- 54:27Speaker 1: my plans do not add to inflationary pressure. To build
- 54:30Speaker 1: back better agenda will help reduce inflation, will help cut
- 54:34Speaker 1: costs for the American people. If we pass the other
- 54:36Speaker 1: two things I'm trying to get done, we will in
- 54:39Speaker 1: fact reduce inflation. Inflation is going to come down next year.
- 54:42Speaker 1: Inflation will come down next year. These inflation rises will
- 54:46Speaker 1: be transitory that they will come back down next year.
- 54:48Speaker 1: There's nobody suggesting the noun checked inflation on the way,
- 54:52Speaker 1: no serious economists. We know a lot of folks are
- 54:55Speaker 1: struggling with inflation driven by Putin's war in Ukraine and
- 54:59Speaker 1: the global pen the greed of meat conglomerates, you could
- 55:02Speaker 1: call it corporate greed. Short, you could call it jacking
- 55:05Speaker 1: up prices during a pandemic. Even if we drilled as
- 55:10Speaker 1: much as we could, the price of oil is still
- 55:13Speaker 1: set globally. There's no amount of domestic production we can
- 55:16Speaker 1: do to reduce or eliminate our vulnerability as a country
- 55:20Speaker 1: to that volatility. We brought down the cost of energy.
- 55:22Speaker 1: Wages have gone up higher faster than inflation. We have
- 55:26Speaker 1: a lower inflation rate than most any nation in the
- 55:28Speaker 1: other nation in the world. The idea that two quarters
- 55:31Speaker 1: of negative GDP growth is a technical definition of a
- 55:34Speaker 1: recession is wrong. I don't expect a recession right now.
- 55:38Speaker 1: We don't see a recession right now. That is not
- 55:41Speaker 1: We're not in a recession right now. Virtually nothing signals
- 55:43Speaker 1: that this period in the second quarter is recession. Are
- 55:48Speaker 1: pre recession now? What we have seen over the course
- 55:52Speaker 1: of the last year plus in the United States is
- 55:54Speaker 1: a historically strong economic recovery and that has been supported
- 55:58Speaker 1: by this president's economic center. Those are the lies. That's
- 56:03Speaker 1: what this election is clearly about. And this is what
- 56:06Speaker 1: people need to sit back and think about and tell
- 56:08Speaker 1: their family and friends before they head to the ballot box,
- 56:11Speaker 1: before they go and show up to vote, before you're
- 56:13Speaker 1: doing your early voting. They've been lying to you on
- 56:17Speaker 1: all of these issues. They're three more that were not
- 56:20Speaker 1: included there that are really striking. Number one, Kareem John
- 56:22Speaker 1: Pierre said from the podium at the White House, nobody
- 56:26Speaker 1: is walking across the border. That simply isn't happening. That's
- 56:28Speaker 1: a flat outlie. Number Two, Kareem John Pierre said, again
- 56:32Speaker 1: from the podium of the White House, said it was
- 56:34Speaker 1: Republicans who wanted to shut down schools and its Democrats
- 56:36Speaker 1: have been working to open schools, which is such a
- 56:39Speaker 1: brazen gas lighting monstrosity. It made you wonder if lightning
- 56:43Speaker 1: was going to strike her as she stood there. And
- 56:46Speaker 1: number three just last week Joe Biden, who gave a
- 56:49Speaker 1: speech I assume written in the speech where he says
- 56:52Speaker 1: I've brought down gas prices, and he said when I
- 56:55Speaker 1: became president, gas prices were five dollars a gallon. Now
- 56:59Speaker 1: they're three thirty eight. Of course, when he became president,
- 57:01Speaker 1: gas prices were two thirty eight, and the idea that
- 57:05Speaker 1: they were five bucks at gallen even for the world
- 57:09Speaker 1: of democrats lying with the corporate media helping them. I
- 57:13Speaker 1: don't know how every quote fact checker in America didn't
- 57:16Speaker 1: fact check them, but of course they didn't. Yeah, it's
- 57:18Speaker 1: gonna be fun to see how many of these videos
- 57:20Speaker 1: get put up on Twitter now with Musk owning it,
- 57:23Speaker 1: and they start actually at least fact checking them, because
- 57:25Speaker 1: we saw a presidential tweet had missing context for the
- 57:29Speaker 1: first time I think ever this past week, as Musk
- 57:32Speaker 1: has taken over, that's gonna be fun. One last thing
- 57:34Speaker 1: for everybody, I've got it. It's here. The book is out.
- 57:38Speaker 1: Grab it wherever you get your books. It's one hell
- 57:41Speaker 1: of a read center I've been reading. I was on
- 57:43Speaker 1: the plane back and reading this on our way back
- 57:46Speaker 1: from Nashville. I know you're excited about this book, and
- 57:49Speaker 1: tell people quickly what's in it so they know what
- 57:51Speaker 1: to expect. Look, Justice Corrupted, How the Left has weaponized
- 57:54Speaker 1: our legal system. It takes you inside to how Barack
- 57:58Speaker 1: Obama and now Joe Biden have weaponized the Department of Justice,
- 58:04Speaker 1: the FBI, the CIA, the irs, how they're using them
- 58:08Speaker 1: as political enforcers, how they're going after their enemies. And
- 58:11Speaker 1: what this book does. It's really the same thing that
- 58:14Speaker 1: this podcast does, which is that it tries to take
- 58:17Speaker 1: people behind the curtain. It tries to take people to
- 58:20Speaker 1: understand what's really going on, and it tells stories. I've
- 58:23Speaker 1: always found that, look, the human mind memory, that we
- 58:28Speaker 1: exist in a world of stories. And so the way
- 58:31Speaker 1: I like writing books is to tell stories of this
- 58:34Speaker 1: is what's really going on. So, for example, on January sixth,
- 58:38Speaker 1: this is the first inside account of what happened on
- 58:41Speaker 1: January sixth, where I was standing on the Senate floor
- 58:44Speaker 1: leading the Senate objection to certification of the election, calling
- 58:47Speaker 1: for an election Commission. I lay out all of the
- 58:51Speaker 1: allegations of voter fraud. I lay out and explain the
- 58:53Speaker 1: different legal proceedings that were ongoing. I describe how President
- 58:58Speaker 1: Trump called and peronally asked me to argue the US
- 59:02Speaker 1: Supreme Court case if the court had taken that case,
- 59:04Speaker 1: and I agreed to do so. And you know, really,
- 59:07Speaker 1: what this book is about is when you're talking to
- 59:12Speaker 1: your friends, when you're talking to your family, when you're
- 59:14Speaker 1: talking to your co workers, and all of these issues
- 59:16Speaker 1: come up. Whether it is vote or fraud, whether it
- 59:19Speaker 1: is election integrity, whether it is crime and violence, whether
- 59:24Speaker 1: it is Black Lives Matter and Antifa riots, whether it
- 59:27Speaker 1: is George Soros prosecutors, whether it is affirmative action, whether
- 59:31Speaker 1: it is the FBI rating President Trump's home, the FBI
- 59:34Speaker 1: rating pro life activists, all of whether it is critical
- 59:37Speaker 1: race theory. We've got chapters in the book on every
- 59:40Speaker 1: one of those things that I just said. This book
- 59:42Speaker 1: is designed to give you the facts, to give you
- 59:44Speaker 1: the information so that when you're talking to your friends
- 59:47Speaker 1: and families, you can know the truth and explain it
- 59:51Speaker 1: to them, because most of them are listening to the
- 59:54Speaker 1: lie in corporate media and So this is this book
- 59:57Speaker 1: is really a toolkit to prepare you to I'll pull
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: the country back from the break. Yeah, grab it. It's
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: an awesome book. My friends, don't forget download Verdict. Hit
