- 2:11Speaker 1: show man, Yeah, I do. Man. God been good to me, man,
- 2:17Speaker 1: he been so good to me. Wow. You know why
- 2:23Speaker 1: I say it like that. What makes it amazing is
- 2:25Speaker 1: because it's been in spite of myself. I mean you
- 2:30Speaker 1: know what I mean by that. I mean I mean
- 2:33Speaker 1: that he's been good to me, in spite of all
- 2:36Speaker 1: the craziness I've done, all the foolishness I've gotten myself
- 2:41Speaker 1: involved with, and not only got but knowingly got myself
- 2:45Speaker 1: involved with, all of the stupid decisions I've made. Put
- 2:53Speaker 1: all that to the side, and he's still been good
- 2:56Speaker 1: to me. Bring it all and put it on the
- 2:58Speaker 1: plate and he's been good to me. Man. That's amazing man.
- 3:03Speaker 1: And I'm sure there's a lot of people that can
- 3:04Speaker 1: say the exact same thing. I mean, come on, man,
- 3:08Speaker 1: I got you, ain't famous, I got anybody, got no
- 3:11Speaker 1: microphone in your face, I got nobody, ain't got no
- 3:13Speaker 1: spotlight on you. I got nobody, ain't got no camera
- 3:15Speaker 1: in your face, I got nobody problem. Ain't your body
- 3:17Speaker 1: blogging about you? Let me tell you so if you
- 3:20Speaker 1: break it down and be real about it, Oh, you
- 3:23Speaker 1: haven't done something outside the box. You haven't done something
- 3:27Speaker 1: ladies included. You've done something out the box. You woke
- 3:29Speaker 1: up and went what did I do that for? Oh,
- 3:33Speaker 1: we've all done it. So when all that's said and done,
- 3:38Speaker 1: God still loves you, man, God still loves you, still
- 3:42Speaker 1: wants you the best for you, still considers you his child.
- 3:45Speaker 1: And and it's willing. It's willing man to show you
- 3:49Speaker 1: your future. He is willing to show you your life.
- 3:53Speaker 1: He is willing to let you take a peek at
- 3:56Speaker 1: the blueprint. Man. That's an amazing God right there. Because
- 4:00Speaker 1: I don't I know, I couldn't do it. I couldn't
- 4:03Speaker 1: do it. I'm glad it's him, you know. Today, Man,
- 4:06Speaker 1: I want to encourage brothers out there. And when I
- 4:08Speaker 1: say brothers, I'm talking to everybody that's of the male species.
- 4:12Speaker 1: I don't care about your color. I really really don't.
- 4:14Speaker 1: I don't even have time for that in my day
- 4:16Speaker 1: a matter a matter of fact. Sometimes when you get
- 4:19Speaker 1: to discussing races, I just get tired of it. Sometimes
- 4:21Speaker 1: I just wish, you know, some days I just want
- 4:24Speaker 1: to wake up, just do me. You know, I got
- 4:27Speaker 1: what what the skin tone is, I got that. But
- 4:30Speaker 1: I just want to wake up some days and just
- 4:32Speaker 1: going by my business and do me. I don't want
- 4:34Speaker 1: to have to deal with it. Sometimes I get tired
- 4:35Speaker 1: of talking about the issues. Ain't gonna make them go away,
- 4:38Speaker 1: But sometimes I get tired, So the damn talking to brothers,
- 4:41Speaker 1: all the brothers of the male species. I'm talking about
- 4:43Speaker 1: men today. Man, If if you ain't doing it all,
- 4:49Speaker 1: if you're feeling empty, man, start today completing your process
- 4:53Speaker 1: and your journey. And you know what I'm saying by that,
- 4:56Speaker 1: if there's a part of you just missing as a man,
- 5:00Speaker 1: and and now, man, I'm talking to you. So you know,
- 5:03Speaker 1: some ladies listening, But you know what I'm talking about.
- 5:06Speaker 1: It's it's some part of you that's missing as a man,
- 5:09Speaker 1: if you ain't really been in touch with your kids
- 5:12Speaker 1: like you supposed to now for whatever the reason is.
- 5:15Speaker 1: And please no, I do understand how sometimes women can
- 5:21Speaker 1: use children as pawns. It happens all the time. I've
- 5:25Speaker 1: been through it. I've been through it, man, I know
- 5:28Speaker 1: what it feels like, man to want to do something.
- 5:31Speaker 1: But because you ain't got this, or you ain't doing this,
- 5:34Speaker 1: then I ain't gonna let you have this. You gotta
- 5:36Speaker 1: fight through, fellas, you got to fight through. You got
- 5:41Speaker 1: to fulfill your end of the deal. And I got
- 5:45Speaker 1: how difficult they're making it. I got how man, it's
- 5:48Speaker 1: gonna come with some drama, but you gotta fight through it. Because, man,
- 5:52Speaker 1: we need fathers to be fathers. That's really what we need.
- 5:56Speaker 1: If you're a man out there and you are a
- 5:58Speaker 1: father of a child, we need you to do your job.
- 6:02Speaker 1: We I'm talking about the our community, our situation, us
- 6:07Speaker 1: as a people, all of us. We need you to
- 6:11Speaker 1: be a father. Period. Hey man, I ain't coming down
- 6:16Speaker 1: on you. I'm just your boy. I'm your man, and
- 6:19Speaker 1: I've been in the same predicament in the same hole myself,
- 6:23Speaker 1: where I couldn't get to them, where they were used
- 6:26Speaker 1: as pawns, where they were told things about me that
- 6:30Speaker 1: wasn't even true. I've been through it. You can't see them,
- 6:34Speaker 1: you don't come on, okay, okay, I got all that.
- 6:36Speaker 1: You ain't sent this. You ain't okay, Hey, hey, got
- 6:38Speaker 1: all that. If if you can call them sometimes, tell
- 6:44Speaker 1: them you're thinking about them, Tell them you love them.
- 6:47Speaker 1: If you can get a letter to them, if you
- 6:49Speaker 1: can get a message to your children through one of
- 6:52Speaker 1: your relatives, start the process today. Be a father. It's
- 6:58Speaker 1: your job. Because you ignoring him, or you acting like
- 7:02Speaker 1: they ain't over there, or you don't back him out
- 7:05Speaker 1: of your mind because the situation got too difficult. I
- 7:08Speaker 1: got that, I got that. But you got to step
- 7:11Speaker 1: up and be fatherless. You got to write a letter.
- 7:14Speaker 1: You gotta send the money if she talking about it.
- 7:16Speaker 1: If you don't send all the money, you ain't gonna
- 7:18Speaker 1: see him. Send what you got if she if taking
- 7:20Speaker 1: it over there's too much drama, Send it through a relative,
- 7:23Speaker 1: give it to a mama, give it to her sister,
- 7:25Speaker 1: ask her to take it over there and do something
- 7:27Speaker 1: for the baby, because okay, okay, you can't deal with
- 7:30Speaker 1: the drama. I got that, and I know it's much
- 7:33Speaker 1: to pay when you had to deal with that, because
- 7:36Speaker 1: clearly I know hell have no fury like a woman scoring.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Please know. I know that, Please know. And that's a
- 7:42Speaker 1: real statement. That ain't no saying, Steve Got's that's the truth.
- 7:47Speaker 1: But do what you gotta do. Sometimes you have to apologize.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Sometimes an apology goes a long way to your children.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Just hey, look, because I've made this apology before. Hey man, look,
- 8:02Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I wasn't there for you. I was out
- 8:06Speaker 1: grinding and hustling, and I wasn't paying attention to you,
- 8:09Speaker 1: and I should have been. And I apologize now. I imagine, man,
- 8:13Speaker 1: there's days where you was telling people I was your
- 8:15Speaker 1: father up at the school and they wasn't believing you.
- 8:18Speaker 1: I apologize for sending you through that. But now, man,
- 8:22Speaker 1: I'll tell you what. I made some mistakes, and I
- 8:25Speaker 1: got it together. I want me and you to move
- 8:27Speaker 1: forward as father and son. I want me and you
- 8:30Speaker 1: to move forward as father and daughter. I want to
- 8:32Speaker 1: be in your life. I ain't got a lot, but
- 8:35Speaker 1: guess what, I know a lot because if you're a
- 8:37Speaker 1: man and you a father. Please know you know something
- 8:40Speaker 1: that child don't know. You have information, you have experience.
- 8:44Speaker 1: That's all they need. Sometimes they have somebody to talk to.
- 8:47Speaker 1: That daughter yours just needs to know from her daddy,
- 8:51Speaker 1: how should a man treat me? Dad? What should I
- 8:55Speaker 1: look for in a man? See, they'll take that information
- 8:58Speaker 1: from you because they know is coming from the right place.
- 9:01Speaker 1: And then you know that your son needs you because
- 9:04Speaker 1: you know how difficult it is if you're trying to
- 9:07Speaker 1: be a man without your daddy. You already know how
- 9:10Speaker 1: funky that is right there. So come on, man and
- 9:14Speaker 1: met your mistakes and move forward. Call your kids, write
- 9:18Speaker 1: a letter, get a phone number on them, send a text,
- 9:21Speaker 1: drop a message, send a note up to the school.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Do something, man, Get your thinking caps on, fellas, but
- 9:28Speaker 1: stand up and be fathers. Man, make the step to
- 9:32Speaker 1: be fathers. Do you know that if every man that
- 9:36Speaker 1: was a father would just stand up and be a
- 9:39Speaker 1: father's that would be no need for half the mentoring
- 9:42Speaker 1: programs we're trying to start out here, But we have
- 9:45Speaker 1: mintoring programs because there's such a lack of fathers out there.
- 9:50Speaker 1: But guess what, it really ain't no lack of fathers
- 9:52Speaker 1: out there, because y'all have made these babies and you
- 9:55Speaker 1: got these kids, and it was and it's your seed.
- 9:58Speaker 1: So it's your job. It ain't my job. It ain't
- 10:03Speaker 1: my job to raise your kids. It's your job. Now, Fellas,
- 10:09Speaker 1: Like I say, I ain't coming down on you, but
- 10:12Speaker 1: I'm telling you the truth. Now, where is it that
- 10:15Speaker 1: I'm lying in this hill? You made a baby, that's
- 10:19Speaker 1: your baby, that's you'll see, they look just like you.
- 10:23Speaker 1: That's your job. If those of us that are fathers
- 10:28Speaker 1: would just be fathers, I could shut the mentory in
- 10:32Speaker 1: camp down. Now. I will say, I apologize because I
- 10:37Speaker 1: don't want you to think I'm coming down on you.
- 10:39Speaker 1: But I've been through this myself. I ain't really coming down.
- 10:42Speaker 1: I'm just reminding you. This is our job. These are
- 10:45Speaker 1: our children, this is our responsibility. We all men. There
- 10:50Speaker 1: is no excuses. You don't get you don't get cut
- 10:53Speaker 1: a brake on that one. Sorry, you're listening to show
- 11:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. Let me clear my thoat. I did
- 11:06Speaker 1: that on purpose, ladies and gentlemen. Let me clear clear
- 11:14Speaker 1: my thoat. Oh you don't need that all. Yeah, Steve Harvey, morning, show.

- 13:07Speaker 1: man anything. I felt like Kansas City got beat on
- 13:13Speaker 1: a couple of calls too, But nobody has ever been
- 13:18Speaker 1: beat like the Saints got beat that they really should
- 13:22Speaker 1: be in the super Bowl. If anybody had guts, anybody
- 13:26Speaker 1: on that field could have threw that flag. Yeah yeah,
- 13:30Speaker 1: hell the dude watching the quarterback. No, no, he's the
- 13:34Speaker 1: dude that the dude that did it could have threw

- 20:41Speaker 1: That's what you get ready saying. I just ain't fitness it.
- 20:44Speaker 1: I alreadys it? What sing? Sing? What you write? You

- 33:53Speaker 1: a search team. They got dogs and everything, get dogs
- 33:59Speaker 1: in every All right, guys, Steve, take us to miss
- 34:04Speaker 1: sand Police, ladies and gentlemen, Miss Anne Tripp, Thanks guys,
- 34:08Speaker 1: the good morning. This is Roop at the News in Washington.
- 34:10Speaker 1: Later on the safternoon, the Republican dominated Senate schedule to
- 34:13Speaker 1: vote on a resolution get this that stresses the need
- 34:16Speaker 1: to keep US troops in Syria. And that's despite President
- 34:20Speaker 1: President to Trump stayed to plans to take our guys
- 34:22Speaker 1: and gals out of there. A. Trump's sudden announcement last
- 34:25Speaker 1: month about his intent to withdraw troops from Syria took
- 34:28Speaker 1: almost everybody but a surprise in his own administration, and
- 34:31Speaker 1: even prompted the resignation of Secretary Defense Jimmatis. Today's Senate
- 34:35Speaker 1: votes not the first time, by the way, that the
- 34:37Speaker 1: President would say opposed something radical and that members of
- 34:40Speaker 1: his own party would try to reel him back in.
- 34:42Speaker 1: The National Weather Service says that dangerous below freezing temperatures
- 34:45Speaker 1: and windshills continue to play the Upper Midwest today. So far,
- 34:48Speaker 1: twenty one deaths have been attributed to the frigid conditions.
- 34:51Speaker 1: Doctors in Chicago say they're treating about fifty frost bite victims,
- 34:56Speaker 1: some of whom they say may end up losing fingers, arms,
- 34:58Speaker 1: or legs. Meanwhile, the folks at Fiat Chrysler say they're
- 35:02Speaker 1: canceling more workshifts today at two Michigan plants after the
- 35:06Speaker 1: local utility they're issued an urgent call for reducing gas
- 35:09Speaker 1: consumption is apparently a shortage of gas to the frigid
- 35:12Speaker 1: temperatures and the fire that took place at one of
- 35:14Speaker 1: its stations in Washington. The Biparsan talks on Board of
- 35:18Speaker 1: Security continue today, with legislators facing a February fifteenth of deadline.
- 35:21Speaker 1: Who works up out. The President says that if there's
- 35:24Speaker 1: no two party agreement on the issue and a couple
- 35:26Speaker 1: of weeks that he's going to be forced to declare
- 35:28Speaker 1: a national emergency to get the money he wants. However,
- 35:31Speaker 1: House Speaker Nasty Pelosi sees the possibility anyway of the
- 35:34Speaker 1: movement at two sides. If they're not going to get
- 35:35Speaker 1: money for the wall, it's not going to work. And
- 35:37Speaker 1: if it's not going to work, then the politicians are
- 35:40Speaker 1: really wasting a lot of time. There's not going to
- 35:42Speaker 1: be any wall money in the legislation. However, if they
- 35:45Speaker 1: have some suggestions about certain localities of where technology some infrastructures.
- 35:51Speaker 1: I said about the ports of entry, we might need
- 35:53Speaker 1: more ports of entry. I mean that made some roads.
- 35:56Speaker 1: That's part of the negotiation. The American Heart Association says
- 36:00Speaker 1: that nearly half of all adults in the us have
- 36:03Speaker 1: some form of heart or blood vessel disease. You believe that.
- 36:06Speaker 1: The CDC says that determination is made mostly because of
- 36:09Speaker 1: the recent changes in the guidelines that officially define high
- 36:13Speaker 1: blood pressure to What they're doing is they say you
- 36:15Speaker 1: have high blood pressure at lower levels than they previously
- 36:18Speaker 1: said or thought. They say that's why people are so ill.
- 36:22Speaker 1: Recent research says that heavy drinking can actually change your DNA.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Study postion the Journal of Alcoholism says that consistently overdoing
- 36:29Speaker 1: it would boos disrupts effectiveness of two genes. And finally,
- 36:33Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, yes you heard that, hosting the NFL Honors
- 36:35Speaker 1: program tonight. He's going to be the Super Bowl Sunday,
- 36:38Speaker 1: so will Serena Williams via her super Bowl commercial. The
- 36:41Speaker 1: world tells you to wait, that waiting is polite, But
- 36:45Speaker 1: if I waited to be invited in, I never would
- 36:49Speaker 1: have stood out. So make the first move and work
- 36:54Speaker 1: and love and life, and don't wait to be given power.
- 37:00Speaker 1: Here's what they won't tell you. We already have it.
- 37:03Speaker 1: Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show you're listening
- 37:06Speaker 1: to show. According to Essence dot com, commercial ads have
- 37:12Speaker 1: already started to pop up featuring some major stars for
- 37:16Speaker 1: the super Bowl, with brands like Pepsi and Dorito's tapping
- 37:19Speaker 1: Cardi B, Little John and Chance the Rapper for super
- 37:23Speaker 1: Bowl spots as well. Cardi B, Little John and Steve
- 37:26Speaker 1: Correll star in Pepsi's new super Bowl spot as they
- 37:30Speaker 1: convince a woman that Pepsi is more than Okay, Chancer
- 37:34Speaker 1: Rapper like Little John Shoe Yeah okay, uh Chance Rapper
- 37:42Speaker 1: and the Backstreet Boys teamed up to bring some cool
- 37:45Speaker 1: to flame and Hot Nacho Dorito's uh michelob Ultra tapped
- 37:50Speaker 1: Zoe Kravitz for its new ad. And So what are
- 37:53Speaker 1: you guys looking for? I have to ask you for
- 37:55Speaker 1: the Super Bowl? You're looking for the commercials. You're looking
- 37:58Speaker 1: for the halftime show, You're looking for the game itself,
- 38:02Speaker 1: looking for the game. I'm looking for the commercials. Yeah,
- 38:03Speaker 1: commercials for me to who I wanted to be in
- 38:08Speaker 1: the game. Ain't in the game. About that? And I'm
- 38:12Speaker 1: with everything in me, yeah, all of it, all of it,
- 38:19Speaker 1: hoping by some miraculous thing. That's the miraculous that the
- 38:26Speaker 1: damn Rams win the game. Now, am I putting any
- 38:30Speaker 1: money on them? No? Serve, because I am beyond deeply
- 38:36Speaker 1: concerned about this. Damn Tom Brady and Bill Belichicks. Here's
- 38:42Speaker 1: what the deal is. The Rams simply have to outscore
- 38:46Speaker 1: the Patriots. Yeah in doing that, yeah oh yeah yeah.
- 38:51Speaker 1: Old Rams got a prolific office. But Belichick developed schemes. Man,
- 38:56Speaker 1: I've never seen a team like that, man. And if
- 38:59Speaker 1: they and if they don't stop this slant that New
- 39:03Speaker 1: England runs when the wide receivers lined up outside of
- 39:10Speaker 1: the tackles, like you know, just you know, a wide
- 39:13Speaker 1: receiver lot somewhere out there, and he runs across the
- 39:16Speaker 1: field towards the middle, usually short routes, short committed range routes,
- 39:23Speaker 1: and they march, think like they go. Sometimes they just
- 39:25Speaker 1: take off at that angle and he just hits. That's
- 39:27Speaker 1: how they scored to win the game. That's exactly what it's.
- 39:31Speaker 1: It's it's horrible, man. I ain't nobody stopped it, and
- 39:34Speaker 1: you know what's gonna happen, and but they beat you
- 39:36Speaker 1: with it every time. Man, Well go Ram so Steve, huh,
- 39:40Speaker 1: thank you, thank you. Yeah, show hope so many they
- 39:46Speaker 1: ain't gonna happen, Bud. Then after that, I'm be looking
- 39:50Speaker 1: for the commercials. Yeah, yeah, yeah, all right, coming up
- 39:54Speaker 1: at thirty four after the hour, we're gonna do some
- 39:56Speaker 1: asked Steve and celebration of the tenth anniversary of his
- 39:59Speaker 1: book Like a lady, Think like a man. Right after
- 40:02Speaker 1: this you're listening to all right, Steve, it's time for
- 40:08Speaker 1: ask Steve relationship questions where you know, we're celebrating the
- 40:11Speaker 1: tenth anniversary of your groundbreaking book. Act like a lady,
- 40:15Speaker 1: Think like a man. Who knew it was ten years already.
- 40:19Speaker 1: That's crazy, that's crazy. Yeah, it really really is ten
- 40:22Speaker 1: years ago. I know we were sitting in the studio
- 40:25Speaker 1: in Atlanta going, Wow, your book is number one. Congratulations. Yeah,
- 40:31Speaker 1: here's the crazy part that book. Man. Oh, let me
- 40:36Speaker 1: do some research. But the crazy part though, Steve, Steve,
- 40:39Speaker 1: since you're talking about crazy parts, I remember in LA
- 40:42Speaker 1: when we weren't even a national show. You probably remember
- 40:45Speaker 1: this too, Tommy, when you used to say I'm going
- 40:47Speaker 1: to write a book one day. I'm going to write
- 40:49Speaker 1: a book one day. He used to say that. Really, Yeah,
- 40:53Speaker 1: he used to say that, I'm going to write a
- 40:54Speaker 1: book about for women. I'm going to write a book
- 40:56Speaker 1: one day about this for women. He used to say
- 40:58Speaker 1: it all the time. You know. But that's that's part
- 41:01Speaker 1: of the excuse me, that's part of the affirmation and
- 41:06Speaker 1: expectation part of life. First of all, you have to
- 41:09Speaker 1: claim something that you won't to see coming to fruition.
- 41:13Speaker 1: You have to claim it. Then after you claim it
- 41:16Speaker 1: and believe it, you got to work. Yeah, and then
- 41:20Speaker 1: you never know. Now, I had no idea this book
- 41:23Speaker 1: would be. This bea no I did not know. Yeah,
- 41:27Speaker 1: all right, and then a movie yeah, and then two movies. Right,
- 41:31Speaker 1: and I have a question about the movie when you
- 41:35Speaker 1: may think like the Man three, I'm dead into you
- 41:42Speaker 1: died into ye come back from the They do it
- 41:47Speaker 1: all the time. They do it all the time. Jack,
- 41:52Speaker 1: you won't be back. It's your book. You you weren't
- 41:59Speaker 1: in the book. I don't know how you got it?
- 42:03Speaker 1: All right, Steve, listen um this we're taking questions from
- 42:08Speaker 1: our audience and celebration of your book. Act like a lady,
- 42:10Speaker 1: think like a man. And this is from U Steve
- 42:12Speaker 1: Harvey FM. Submitted from Michelle As. Submitted by Michelle As,
- 42:16Speaker 1: she says, how long into dating someone should you go
- 42:20Speaker 1: to a super Bowl party with them? Bringing a date
- 42:23Speaker 1: you know to a super Bowl party means that he
- 42:25Speaker 1: or she is going to meet most of your friends
- 42:28Speaker 1: and possibly some of your family. So how long it's
- 42:32Speaker 1: a super Bowl party? When did that become an event
- 42:35Speaker 1: that determined relationship status? No, when do you invite people
- 42:40Speaker 1: to see your mama? When do you invite a person
- 42:43Speaker 1: over to your house for the holidays? Those especially vins
- 42:48Speaker 1: who come to you with it in the super Bowl party,
- 42:51Speaker 1: well that should be brought him to the super Bowl party.
- 42:54Speaker 1: I've never known these parties to be you know that,
- 43:00Speaker 1: it's never been. I didn't know that that was. Yeah,
- 43:04Speaker 1: a relationship determined. If you take them to church, you
- 43:08Speaker 1: take them to your mama's house. Yeah, you bring them
- 43:11Speaker 1: to the house for Thanksgiving to sit up at the
- 43:13Speaker 1: table and eat. No, that's a that's a move. But
- 43:17Speaker 1: I think what she's saying, they're they're they're dating. But
- 43:20Speaker 1: if you do go to a super Bowl party, your
- 43:22Speaker 1: friends are about lots of your friends are bound to
- 43:25Speaker 1: be there, so you know they're going to be looking
- 43:26Speaker 1: at them with the side eye and judging and asking questions.
- 43:30Speaker 1: You know, if you don't want nobody asking you no questions,
- 43:34Speaker 1: and well, you don't want nobody in your business and
- 43:36Speaker 1: you're not sure about the guy. What y'all going to
- 43:40Speaker 1: the Super Bowl party? Phone? Or just go as a
- 43:43Speaker 1: date and introduce him as a friend. Everybody gonna know
- 43:46Speaker 1: you lie language as soon as you say friend, you
- 43:54Speaker 1: come here, come to other predators. The little vultures on
- 43:58Speaker 1: the branches might swoop off all of a sudden, playing possible.
- 44:01Speaker 1: Oh I'm so helpless. Then you have to slap one
- 44:04Speaker 1: of your friends. See what they say working out this serious? Football?
- 44:09Speaker 1: Ain't that serious? But I mean, but I have been
- 44:12Speaker 1: like at a party when one of my girlfriends brought
- 44:15Speaker 1: somebody in and you know, as girlfriends do. Oh so
- 44:18Speaker 1: he was cute? Was happening over? Yeah? Who's that? You
- 44:21Speaker 1: should have seen him before it in though not necessarily,
- 44:24Speaker 1: not necessarily yeah, yeah, yeah. A lot of side pieces
- 44:28Speaker 1: going out Super Bowl. They get by themselves, itself, conversation,
- 44:33Speaker 1: get to somebody. They got to watch the game too.
- 44:37Speaker 1: I mean, Jane, they get to watch the game. Take
- 44:40Speaker 1: your side, pizza, super Bowl. I'm wrong with Dad. You
- 44:44Speaker 1: don't stay all right on that note. See the whole
- 44:49Speaker 1: game back. It's a nephew with the brain phone call
- 44:53Speaker 1: right after this. Guys are crazy. You see the game
- 44:57Speaker 1: time you're listening show. Coming up at the top of
- 45:04Speaker 1: the hour, right about four minutes after, it's today's Strawberry
- 45:07Speaker 1: Letters subject I want a real man, not this man.
- 45:13Speaker 1: But up next it is the nephew with today's prank
- 45:17Speaker 1: phone call. What you got now? You gotta part you
- 45:19Speaker 1: this right here? That's the other one, Tommy, what's that?
- 45:21Speaker 1: That's that other one? What's up? You woke up with
- 45:24Speaker 1: the phone next to you. You had pranked somebody and
- 45:31Speaker 1: they had they had that iPhone locator. You woke up
- 45:39Speaker 1: and realize, yeah, that's my wife though, Oh hell read
- 45:47Speaker 1: what I got knocked out? That's what he says. Yeah,
- 45:52Speaker 1: that's part of this is when he is Workman's cop.

- 46:30Speaker 1: Therapy is going pretty well. Yeah, it's they say, I'm
- 46:33Speaker 1: doing all right. The pain level is about maybe a

- 54:32Speaker 1: Call you here. It is the Strawberry letter. That's right.
- 54:35Speaker 1: Let us know your problem subject. I want a man,
- 54:39Speaker 1: a real man, not this man. Dear Stephen Shirley. I
- 54:44Speaker 1: have been married to my husband for thirteen years, but
- 54:47Speaker 1: we have been together for a total of twenty three years.
- 54:50Speaker 1: We have one son, and my husband is a great
- 54:53Speaker 1: provider for our family. I am, however, concerned about the
- 54:58Speaker 1: example of manhood that he is displaying for our son.
- 55:02Speaker 1: My husband is non confrontational, so we haven't argued in years.
- 55:07Speaker 1: If we have a disagreement, he will disagree with me
- 55:10Speaker 1: to avoid conflict. He's always eager to help others, and
- 55:14Speaker 1: he does favors for his family members all the time,
- 55:17Speaker 1: even if he is not feeling up to it. He
- 55:20Speaker 1: rarely gets frustrated or raises his voice. He is also
- 55:24Speaker 1: very pleasant at work, and he has been overlooked for
- 55:27Speaker 1: promotions because he won't be more assertive and speak up
- 55:30Speaker 1: for himself. He is always concerned about what other people
- 55:34Speaker 1: think of him, and he never wants to upset his
- 55:37Speaker 1: coworkers or the few friends we have. His behavior is
- 55:41Speaker 1: a huge turn off, and quite frankly, I've had it
- 55:45Speaker 1: with mister nice guy. I want my husband to be
- 55:48Speaker 1: my rock and my protector, but instead I wear the
- 55:52Speaker 1: pants in our household. The situation is getting worse as
- 55:56Speaker 1: he gets older and more complacent. I would love to
- 55:59Speaker 1: hear him say I got this baby and take charge,
- 56:03Speaker 1: but that hasn't happened in years. I also want him
- 56:06Speaker 1: to take charge in the bedroom so I don't always
- 56:08Speaker 1: have to initiate intimacy. When we spend time as a family,
- 56:13Speaker 1: I make the decisions on what we will do, and
- 56:15Speaker 1: I always drive us around. So far, my attempts to
- 56:20Speaker 1: talk to him have not worked at all. So how
- 56:23Speaker 1: can I get him to understand that he needs to
- 56:26Speaker 1: man up without insulting him. Please advise. All right, give
- 56:33Speaker 1: me a moment here, but I'm trying to figure out
- 56:35Speaker 1: what's really going on here and what you're really upset about.
- 56:39Speaker 1: I mean, thirteen years of marriage. You say he's a
- 56:42Speaker 1: great provider, he's always eager to help others. He's non confrontational.
- 56:46Speaker 1: You guys haven't argued in years. He doesn't raise his voice,
- 56:50Speaker 1: and in your words, he's a mister nice guy. I mean,
- 56:53Speaker 1: you guys have been together for twenty three years. Surely
- 56:57Speaker 1: you knew he was kind of like a people pleasing
- 57:00Speaker 1: of a guy. You know, cared about what people thought
- 57:02Speaker 1: of him. Helpful guy, this non assertive person that you
- 57:07Speaker 1: talk about in the letter, especially back in the day
- 57:09Speaker 1: when you married him. That was thirteen years ago. Bottom line,
- 57:14Speaker 1: you have a problem with this now. I guess you're
- 57:16Speaker 1: growing and perhaps he's still the same or something you
- 57:19Speaker 1: want him to change, and your attempt to talk to
- 57:21Speaker 1: him it's fallen on deaf ears. He's getting worse, you
- 57:25Speaker 1: say in your opinions, since you get older. I mean,
- 57:29Speaker 1: I can only suggest at this point since you guys
- 57:31Speaker 1: are are kind of had an impass. You want things
- 57:34Speaker 1: one way and he's doing it the way. He's been
- 57:38Speaker 1: doing it and you want to change, you know. I
- 57:40Speaker 1: gotta suggest some counseling for you guys to get over
- 57:44Speaker 1: this situation. And when you do talk to him, how
- 57:48Speaker 1: are you talking to him? I mean, is it a
- 57:50Speaker 1: way that you're turning him off? You're turning him off?
- 57:54Speaker 1: Are you nagging him? What are you? What are you doing?
- 57:57Speaker 1: You know in this situation. I'm not blaming you, I'm
- 58:00Speaker 1: just asking a question. I would definitely contact a marriage
- 58:04Speaker 1: counselor though though, to try and help you guys get
- 58:07Speaker 1: through the situation together together. All right, that's my answer, Steve.
- 58:13Speaker 1: Nice answer, Shirley, really good, well thought out. You've given
- 58:16Speaker 1: our good advice. I would recommend therapy two, but I
- 58:20Speaker 1: never do know and I'm not fitting the star today.
- 58:24Speaker 1: We can work this out, as pope. People who don't
- 58:27Speaker 1: have money fuss therapy. So now what you need is
- 58:31Speaker 1: a therapeutic conversation. I fitting to get to you right now.
- 58:38Speaker 1: I've been married to my husband thirteen years. We've been
- 58:41Speaker 1: together twenty three, we got one son. Now here's a compliment.
- 58:45Speaker 1: Your husband's a great provider. I'm, however, concerned about the
- 58:50Speaker 1: example of manhood that he's displaying to my son. I
- 58:55Speaker 1: pumped the brakes. My question to you is this, you're
- 58:59Speaker 1: concerned about the level of manhood he's displaying to your son.
- 59:04Speaker 1: What level of manhood did he display to you to
- 59:08Speaker 1: make you stay for twenty three years? See let's back
- 59:12Speaker 1: up now, lady, you talking to somebody who thinks these
- 59:15Speaker 1: stunts out. I am, however, concerned about the example. My
- 59:20Speaker 1: husband is non confrontational, so we haven't argued in years.
- 59:24Speaker 1: Wait a minute, you're writing a letter of complaint because
- 59:28Speaker 1: you and your husband has an argued in years. Okay,
- 59:32Speaker 1: let's mark that down. If we have a disagreement, he
- 59:37Speaker 1: would just agree with me to avoid conflict. So you
- 59:41Speaker 1: mean to tell me you're writing a letter because you
- 59:44Speaker 1: keep getting your way. Okay, let's mark that down. Now.
- 59:52Speaker 1: He's always eager to help others, and he does favors
- 59:55Speaker 1: for his family members all the time. Excuse me, you're
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: writing a letter because you're married to a good, a
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: nice man. Okay, let's write that down. Even if he's
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: not filling up to it. He rarely wait here help
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: people if he don't feel like it. This is what
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: we're complaining about. I just want y'all to hit it.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: He rarely gets frustrated or raises his voice. You mean
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: he's an actual calming force at his house and on
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: his job. I'm just I want y'all to here with
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: this woman to say he is also very pleasant at work.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: I'll be damned if you don't get down there and
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: start acting like a butthole on that job. Having everybody
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: like you, why didn't you crazy? Ain't nobody puster like
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: everybody that they damn job? Y'all listening? Got it? What's
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: wrong with though? Exactly? Now? When we come back, I'm
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: gonna show you, because while we've been talking about is
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: what's wrong with him? Nowhere in the letter that she
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: mentioned what's wrong with her? Well we come back, I'm
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: gonna tell you what's wrong with her? All right? Obvious
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: to me? Sounds good, Steve, No, this real? She crazy? Yeah?
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: I agree. He won't speak up for himself. He's always
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: concerned about what other people think of him. He never
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: wont to say say this co workers. A few friends
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: we have, and you wouldn't have had him friends if
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: he wasn't so nice, because talk about like, yo, you
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: heard me, I'm trying to figure out what's going on, too.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: What's wrong? All right? Coming up Part two of Steve's
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: response to this letter, I want a real man, not
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: this man. We'll be back at twenty three after the
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: hour you're listening. Let's recap today's Strawberry Letters, Steve and
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: get back to your response, subjec I want a real man,
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: not this man. This woman just being complaining about her
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: husband because he's non confrontational. They ain't arguing in years,
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: they're having agreed a disagreement. He'll just agree with her
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: to avoid the conflict. He's eager to help other people
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: do family for his new favors for his families and friends,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: even if he don't want to. He rarely gets frustrated
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: or raises his voice. He's also very pleasant at work,
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: and he's been overlooked for promotion because he won't be
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: more assertive and speak up for himself. Maybe that ain't
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: the reason. He's also concerned about what other people think
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: of him, and who never wants upset his co workers
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: on a few friends we do have and y'all got friends,
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: probably because he's such a nice guy. Right, here's where
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: the letter turned ugly. His behavior is a huge turn off,
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: So now she's not attracted to him anymore. See that's
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: what we're getting down too. And quite frankly, i've had
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: it with mister nice guy. See what she wanted somebody
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: coming in there in ass whipping mode. I want somebody
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: coming here basking over furniture. Well what do you want?
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: You want somebody come in the house and ask where where? Yeah,
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: you're luck come only you that argum here? I am conflict.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: You want some of this? What you tat? Who are
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: you looking at? So? He just walking in the house
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: as ready made conflict, wants to start arguments. Don't want
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: to agree with nothing you say. You want a man
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: to quit giving you your way? You won't opposition. See
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: you crazy? Now what you're saying is I've had it
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: with mister nice guy that I've never heard. I've had
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: it with mister Knights. And see you ain't tracked to it.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: Y'all probably ain't having sex no more, none of this.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: But instead I wear the pants and out they ain't
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: having sex. She wants him to take charge in the
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: bedroom down near the end, Steve, I got news for you.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: I wear the pass in our household. The situation that
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: gets worse as he getting older and more himplacent. I
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: would love to him say I got this baby and
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: take charge. This ain't happening years. I also want him
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: to take charge in the bedroom so I don't have
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: to do all that initiate intimates week time. As a family,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: I make decision what we do or where we go who.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: I always drive us around. So far my attempts to
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: talk to him if not worked out at all. How
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: can I get him to understand he needs a man
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: up without his soul and he'll please say about he
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: don't want Wait a minute in the letters to me,
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: I always drive us around, always driving, because you're jumping
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: in you jumping behind the wheel, Joe boss as I
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: tell you what's wrong? Yeah, let me tell you what.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: Here's what's really happened? You wear the pass in the family,
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: take him off. I think the man tied to you.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: I really do you sound exhausting to me. He ain't
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: arguing with you no more. He ain't getting no conflicts
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: or you no more. I think you run your mouth
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: at the house all the time. I think you complain
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: a lot because you don't got sick of him, so
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: you don't wrote a letter. Any woman gets sick of
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: a man, she gonna voice it in the marriage. You
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: ain't just sitting there quietly seething, but you keep telling
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: it about itself. Yeah right? And how when did he
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: get like this? The older he get, the worst he getting.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: He sounded like a cool guy to me. Damn what
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: you want? But see here's what didn't happen. Has he changed? Maybe?
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: But let me ask counselt did she change too? And
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: I think what didn't happened is is the people that
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: you all have become. Y'all don't like each other no more.
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: It's called growing apart. See what used to be okay
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: with you is now on your nerves. The marriage you man,
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: You married the man probably because he was kind, he
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: was non conflict, He gave you your way, He took
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: care of you. It was a great provider. I bet
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: that's why you married him. Now all of a sudden
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: you tired of that. And I understand the woman that
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: don't want a good guy. Damn what your world? What
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: what you want to happen? Here? So let's have a reenactment. Jay,
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: I'm here, You the woman, Huh, I'm the guy. Let's
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: go here. We go first of all, where you've been, Oh,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: I just can't. When we've been I've been sitting here.
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: I don't half waiting on you enough. Where you've been,
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: just been trying to get to you, trying to get
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: to me? Who I'm here? You know where I'm at?
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: What you mean you're trying to get to me? You
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: know where I'm at? You left, I was here and
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: when you come back, I was here waiting on you.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: Where have you been? What take you? I know how
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: long it take you to get home? I know the
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: route you take. Did you go someplace else? Today? You're
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: getting him fast, drive faster Tomorrow you shouldn't get you
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: shouldn't be hit back because I'm sitting here waiting. You
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: got me here sitting that's waiting on you by day
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: every day. I wait. I said that there, and I
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: wait on you. Why am I waiting? Why? I need
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: to know why you didn't know where you are? And
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: tell me why I'm waiting? Why do you think I'm waiting?
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: Why do you answer? Because I was driving too slow? No, no, no,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: where were you and didn't answer? Why am I waiting?
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: Go ahead to answer that I was in the car,
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: drove my waiting and then the answer? You know, right?
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: I don't like it? Answer Why am I waiting? And
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: why are you where you been? I need to know
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: all of those three questions. No, baby, I can't. I
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: can't answer quick. You won't let me. Where have you been?
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: Why am I waiting? And why I just told you
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: where you've been? Why am I asking you these questions?
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: I need to know? Baby, I'm like, man, I sound
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: like a man? Do I sound like I'm mad? No?
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: Do you know what I'm mad? My bad? Let me
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: stop being man? Oh? You man? Now I was mad?
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: Now I was being mad. Now you're mad? You be mad?
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: You being man? Oh? I'm so sorry. Man. Look, I
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: want to know why you take so long get home?
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: And why you want me to tell you? Do you
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: want me to tell you? You tell me? I can't
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: stand your fucking I'm tired. I'm tired of your ass
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: at the time. I can't not do it's right, And
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: I won't a damn divorce. That's the nice guy. Yeah,
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: come on, I ain't what she won't she won't this hell,
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: you rarely get frustrated and raise your voice. I knew
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: this was coming. I knew it. My mama did. Well,
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: you know all Strawberry letders don't end happy if you
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: put your own feelings. Yeah, sure, get your brother. I'm chicken.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: All right, listen, we gotta get out of here. Please
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: email us or instagram us your thoughts on today's Strawberry
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: Letter at Steve Harvey FM. Now coming up in about
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: ten minutes, we're gonna talk about chicken wings. Okay, chicken wings.
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening to show,
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: all right, Please don't forget to watch NFL Honors and
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: Is hosted by her very own Steve Harvey. It's gonna
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: be tomorrow night at nine pm, eight Central on CBS.
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: All right, I'll make sure you watch at such a TVRS. Okay,
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: check out Steve now, yeah, alright, now listen. I love
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: stats like this, I really do. Now. This is according
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: to a report by the National Chicken Council. Okay, the Council.
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: There is such a thing. Yes, a whopping one point
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: thirty eight billion with a be chicken wings will be consumed,
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: This Super Bowl will billion with the beach George Wallace
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: as a Mama house. What stop? But and and guess
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: what this is? Up? Three percent? Three percent or if
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: you want to put it into wing terms. Twenty five
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: million wings from last year. What yeah, a lot of
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: excuse me, we need to go into the Queen bis.
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: Think about that. They said in a billion queen why
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: would we not go into the queen beach? Hard to
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: be in the wing bishes when you came. Now your
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: own products, nobody going, what kind of stove? Why will
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: we not go into Queen being? What? What you know?
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: I've been on the Queen stop. People will not called
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: me back at the Queen stop because they don't know
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: what you're talking about. All right now, listen, one point
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: thirty eight billion chicken wings. Okay, so if that many
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: wings were laid just laid on the ground, it was
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: stretched twenty eight times from Gillette Stadium where the Patriots play,
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: to Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum where the Rams play. That's
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: a lot. There's enough wings to build to build a wall.
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: We could have a whing wall. And I say something, yes,
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: but Steve and Tommy, can we do a reenactment of
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: three chickens that have lost a wing and they just
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: walking around? Please? I got you man, Yeah they got
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: me too, though. What about you, a little fellow? Yeah?
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: Mine is gone. I can't flat or nothing. I couldn't tell.
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: I just thought you were short. Had mine was nice.
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: I'm putting my jacket on. It came right off. It's
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: just a vest now. Man, it's crazy, man, it is crazy.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: Shoulders arms again. I had just last week flew up
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: to the top of the coup. I was damned there
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: over the get they get you every year. Man. No,
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: I'm just walking around here. Just packet man, just he
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: need seas off this ground. I'll be damed. I thought
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: we had a wing quatcher that be keep an eye
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: for these people that comes at him too. Man. They
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: got the quinn watching us to the point it was coming.
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: But now he can't. Okay, hey, hey, little man, let
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: me ask yourself. Of course, happened when they came in
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: here and said, who want to give up their wings?
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: Did you say something? Nah? I said, quait a minute,
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: Wait a minute, now, wait a damn minute. Okay, you
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: ain't been a mess with my huan that what you said?
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: And then quickly go ahead, quickly what you're saying? And
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: hatty got me. They said, who want to give up
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: their wings for extra money? I raised my hands sniffed,
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: don't just like hey, hey, willy, well how much? How
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: much did you get? I gotta dip this in the wing.
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: That what I got, But I can't put the money
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: in my pocket. It's on the ground. I don't hope
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: they will it. Yeah, can I tell you something. I
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: hate to raak this to you, but you ain't got
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: no damn pocket, I'm saying. And you know what else,
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: We ain't gonna be able to play Spage this weekend.
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: We can cancel that game. Ain't nobody hold a car.
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: I'll be damned. I'll be damn if we cancel Spage
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: this weekend? Looking forward to Oh hell no, they never
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: check them on. Man, we gotta play spage. How we're
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: gonna holding cards? Man, I'm gonna have my girl come
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: down in his new chick. You gonna hold a call
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: for me. I hate to be a bar of bad news.
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: I hate to tell y'all this, but they opened up
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: a leg stop better get ready for that, you see.
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: I'll be damn man. I'm gonna just gonna be a
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: damn snake. But anyway, Um, I'm getting back to this
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: one point thirty eight billion chicken wings that Americans will consume,
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: uh this this weekend. Uh, it's enough to circle the
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: earth three times? Enough chicken wings to circle the earth
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: three times. They're just lying a circle as well. No
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: three times? When no damn chicken wings, you know, the
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: chickens that is Yeah, one point thirty eight billion, that's
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: what they're saying. Where are all these chickens wings, Shelley,
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: We're gonna eat one point thirty eight billion chicken wings?
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: Oh in one day? Well yeah, the uh huh man,
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: So what they do with the legs and thigh it represents.
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: It represents four wings for every man, woman, and child
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: in the US. That's how much one point thirty eight
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: billion everybody in the US can get. All us don't
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: killed two chickens just for the one we're doing the
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: other part freezer. Okay, that's that's a lot of one.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: That's a lot, a lot of I don't believe it.
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: If it's if it's one point three billion chicken wings,
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: it's got to be one point three billion thighs, one
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: point three billion drums stick okay, yeah, fifty million brist
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: left that the stove. Okay, all right, coming up at
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: the top of the hour, Hotlanta might not be so
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: hot for the Super Bowl, and we'll be back right
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: after this. You're listening alright. Many Americans, guys are dealing
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: with the freezing temperatures of the volar polar vortex, which
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: is making parts of the US colder than at the
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: South Pole. Okay. Uh, this polar vortex is also affecting
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: Atlanta just in time for the Super Bowl. Well, luckily
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: the game. Luckily the game will be playing played in
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: a dome inside. Okay, fans can be warm, players can
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: be warm and comfortable, especially the Rams because they find
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: no and anybody from La the Rams because they're not you.
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: So that kind of cold weather. Uh yeah, that is
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: really cold. But for the next few days getting around
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: the city, it's gonna be somewhat of a bummer because
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: of the freezing temperatures and the snow and the rain.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: So keep an eye on things in Atlanta because they
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: could get snow. Yeah, it could be. Yeah, snow. It's over.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: It can't snow in Atlanta for snow. But I thought
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: they fixed that problem. Yeah, really, because it doesn't work
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: out something they need to talk to some people in
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: Chicago and New York and places where it snows, Minnesota,
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: places like that. Yeah, they handled No, I think it's
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: gonna rain, No, for sure. Yeah I heard rain. I
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: did hear rain. And it's going to be cold. But
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: these are the three major things that stops traffic in Atlanta.
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: Number one snow, oh yeah. Number two rain. Number three
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: freaking yes boy, I mean yes, sir. Number four National
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: Strip Club Day. Yes. When is that act? When it
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: makes up? I don't know, Cale, I don't know that
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: was a joy or we ought to make it one
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: if it ain't one, and you're talking about it because no,
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: because for Timmy, don't don't put it back over here. No,
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: it never left. I just told you what traffic was.

- 1:19:48Speaker 1: There ain't ain't that you know, you know, ain't the
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: Georgia though, But the thirty five thousands, that's a lot
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: of people's Yeah, people love you. Now I can truly say, well,
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: I'm not responsible for all the ticket sales, so let
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: me say that. Okay, okay, what was probably responsible for about?
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: It's thirty five I probably got twenty eight thousand. Don't
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: be so shy. And you got to be confident up
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: in here. How many people say thirty five thousand all together?
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: But you're responsible for what, if I really think about it,
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: probably thirty one five. What's the most people you've ever
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: performed in front of? Forty four thousand Georgia Dome and
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: Queens of Coming. Oh okay, that's a big number and

- 1:24:23Speaker 1: seat study? Yes, yes, can you believe that what I
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: was just thinking? Yes? The research shows that the average
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: steering wheel has four times more bacteria on it than
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: a typical public toilet seat does. Okay, I don't have
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: to worry about that. Oh because why because you went
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: he ain't try? Yeah, well, because I ain't never wiped
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: my butt with my staring wheel. You're stupid, you know
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: that's not what this means. Ever got in my cat

- 1:25:47Speaker 1: Climb up in this window and wipe my nast with
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: this standwe cut it on, turn it left back to
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: the right. Come on, kids, quick cracks. I'm just saying
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: he does he wants to get in. Come on, get
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: on this, Nasha Stanwoods. He ain't got to get in,
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: all right. Well, when you break down the numbers, if
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: I may, uh, the average steering wheel has six hundred
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: and twenty nine colony forming units. That's the bacteria as
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: opposed to a toilet seats one hundred and seventy two.
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: So how many does it have? Six hundred twenty nine
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: nine bacteria. They call it colony forming units. So six hundred,
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: six hundred forty nine colony forming units as opposed to
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: how many one hundred and seventy two? Oh that's not true.
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: My toilet seat has nine thousand holling it foaming ass

- 1:27:21Speaker 1: go every morning. Far I come in here. I don't
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: want to know that you're not gonna sit up in

- 1:27:31Speaker 1: for jokes like this, sitting up if YO stand wellness
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: nasty than yo damn toilet seat. When you get off

- 1:28:46Speaker 1: can do that in your sleep, sir. I mean, this
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: is what I do for a living, you know what
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: I think? So it's gonna have to pop off. Yeah,
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: what do you want to talk about, Steve? What is
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: it like words? I really want to talk about that
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: day on miss call? Can you do that? I am
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: at one point in time? Okay, who the hell posted
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: being the super Bowl damn show? Ain't you know that?
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: I think y'all need to pray for me. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: let me say that. I think if you do good
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: on this. I think that is I think that's the uh,
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: the spring board to doing the s piece. That's what
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: I think. Oh, yeah, you really want him to do that.
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: I really want to. I want to go to that. Yeah. Hey,
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: if they don't ask me to do that piece, I'm
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: fitting the boycott esp as much as you watch it, Well,
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: you have to let them know that you're available. Steve,
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: I ain't got you work so much the same thing. No,
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: You're not gonna do that, which is why I'm just going,
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: all right, we're moving on. Congratulations, We'll watch it tomorrow nights, sir.
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: Another entertainment news. Hey, you guys, remember when Drake was
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: out here changing lives, you know, when he was shooting
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: his video God's Plan, he was giving away money and stuff.
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: Well he's back at it again. Drake recently surprise surprise
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: to McDonald employees in Los Angeles with ten thousand dollars each.
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: I love it. Apparently, yeah, apparently. Drake posted a photo
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: of himself on Instagram at McDonald's, but he didn't mention
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: his generosity or anything. Thankfully. A witness captured the moment
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: and tweeted the picture of Drake giving the two female
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: workers ten racks in cash. Wow, Yeah, that's really nice. Yeah,
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: go ahead, Drake giving back. Yeah, I imagine being at
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: work and Drake come in and give you ten home.
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: You better believe, right first of all, to see him
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: just walk through the doors. Yeah right, you can clog out,
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: give me surprise and I'm clock out. I'm down, Yeah
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: right right, all right, Steve, I want you to I
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: want you to listen to the story carefully because um anyway.
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: And other entertainment news, Jennifer Lopez has abs for days.
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: You know how you're always talking about your abs. Jennifer
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: recently showed her abs off on a sexy Instagram post
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: to cut everyone's attention, including old flame Pete Diddy. Now,
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: Jay Low has been on a ten day Steve, ten days,
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: no sugar, no carb diet. I could do that, but
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: I ain't gonna be able to think it. Gonna take
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: a little bit more than ten days and show my abs.
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: But I mean that's a start though, right, Yeah, that's all.
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to cut out sugar of cobs and
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to develop some kind of yelness drop
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: with a search team. They got dogs and everything. Get dogs.
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: And everything. All right, we'll be back to close out
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: the show. One last break on this beginning of the
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: Big Game weekend right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve,
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: Here we are you guys want to predict who you
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: think this game? I'm going round the room. Yeah, I'm
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: just going Rams. I'm going Rams. Could name a player
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: on the team, but I'm going Rams. But I live
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: in Los Angeles. What but it's gonna be hard. I'm
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: just ja Yeah, it's gonna be rough. I'm pulling for
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: him all the way. Well, come on, Jay, well the Rams.
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: I need the Rams to win because I'm having a party.
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: Give me a dress. Chicken wings. I tell you what,
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: most of them chicken wings went. I bought them here
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: for your party party, Rams, Carlo. We know it's you know,
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: it's kind of lonely and quiet. Yeah, but the Farrell
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: household being at mister Tosh Farrell is from the West Bank,
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: will be cheering for the Patriots, Tom Brady, I said,
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: with everything in him. The Patriots. Oh, because the Ram,
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: they say, flights to New Orleans twenty dollars that week
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: one way? All right, Steve, Yeah, Well, I mean you know,
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: I desperitely want the Rams to win, I think the
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: only one. But I'm but already know that they're gonna
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: get out schemed. I do like the fact that the
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: defensive coordinator for the Rams is Wade Phillips, and I
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: think he's one of the brightest defensive minds out there.
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: It's just if they can protect himself against the pick
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: play and that slant they comment. But if they can
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: stop some of those with some great defensive plays and
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: avoid some of the picks, which is master to switch off,
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: I think the RAMS has enough firepower to score with anybody.
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: So here's what I here's what I think. Okay, if
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: we can keep the game close in the beginning, New
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: England ain't up, but no more than seven at the
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: half tochdown, then I need the Rams to go thirty
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: five in the second half. They do it mostly with
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: a great running game with that boy Anderson and uh
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: my boy, Girly Anderson c J. Anderson. Yeah, yes, sure.
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: When you say schemes, what does that mean exactly? Because
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: I mean, for me, I'm just talking about the plan,
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: the out, the plan of how they're gonna play defense,
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: a plan of how they're gonna play off. Oh okay,
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: you know. That's what I mean by schemes, and if
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: they could do that. Man, Man, I want the Rams
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: to win with everything in me. But I know he's
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: gonna be holding that damn cup up. I know Brady
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: gonna be standing at home and thing about Tom Brady.
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: Is I like him? Yeah? I like Tom Brady. I
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: like his competitiveness. I like his skill set. I like
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: the fact that he old for football and still doing it.
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: And I like the fact that he wrapp his ankles
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: up till he looked like something wrong with him. Tom
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: ain't one outing looks like he got a down shoes.
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: He says he wants to play till he's forty five.
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: He's not retired, and he got a line to keep
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: everybody off. Yeah, so that's it. Uh, Listen. I want
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: everybody to have itself a great weekend, but have a
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: safe weekend. Watch the drinking this weekend. A lot of
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: accidents happen this weekend. Take care of your family this weekend.
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: If you're gonna be with your boys, Like I say, man,
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: just just watch it. Be careful out there. The city
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: of Atlanta, which is where my home is. Y'all be
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: careful in Atlanta. It's gonna be a lot of enticing
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: things the nightlife. Man, y'all just be conscious of the
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: nightlife in Atlanta, because it's really going to bring out
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: a lot of unsavory characters. Anytime you go to Super Bowl,
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: anytime you go to NBA All Star, there's an element
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: that comes to town to take advantage of you. I
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: don't care if it's from it's something that's simple as
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: scalping a ticket. Uh, you know, the dancers is coming in,
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: fellas yea, ladies, men are coming in and just as
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: me and man, let's be aware of what's really going on.
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: And I'm gonna say this, and I don't have time
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: to address at all, but I found out Atlanta has
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: an area in it that's number one for human sex
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: trafficking in the country. I just wish men, see if
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: we didn't crave the product, they would they wouldn't have
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: to be answering to a supply and demand platform. I
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: just think we got to be better as men, man.
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: I think we just have to be better as men
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: and be conscious of the plight of these young women
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: man or these women who may just be caught up
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: in this game and this game only exists, man, because
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: we have such a thirst for it. I just think
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: we got to get better. Look at me saying this
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: probably ain't gonna change a thing. I understand that I'm
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: not naive, and it's probably ain't the best time to
