- 2:02Speaker 1: well a good morning everybody. You'll listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: Come on, digny now wanted only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:10Speaker 1: radio show. Okay, I want to talk to you today
- 2:20Speaker 1: about success. But I want to talk to you about
- 2:24Speaker 1: it like I usually do in terms of a principle
- 2:27Speaker 1: of it, but I want to share something with you
- 2:30Speaker 1: about it. And I was talking to my daughter about it.
- 2:36Speaker 1: I've talked about my son in law about it, talking
- 2:38Speaker 1: about it with all my children, and I'm really starting
- 2:41Speaker 1: to express it to them now because I'm talking to
- 2:44Speaker 1: a wide range of people constantly. But I want to
- 2:48Speaker 1: share something with you. If you have any aspiration of
- 2:52Speaker 1: being successful, I want you to realize, starting right now,
- 2:57Speaker 1: the effort that is going to require and that's why
- 3:01Speaker 1: I think it stops a lot of people. I think
- 3:03Speaker 1: a lot of people are never told or don't understand
- 3:08Speaker 1: the sheer effort that's that it takes to become successful
- 3:12Speaker 1: at anything, in any area of your life. If you
- 3:15Speaker 1: think that doing your best is enough, that I got
- 3:19Speaker 1: news for you. It's not. Well, Steve, what if you've
- 3:24Speaker 1: done your best, though, and your best ain't good enough? Well,
- 3:29Speaker 1: let me ask you that same question. Hold on. If
- 3:32Speaker 1: you want to be successful and you've done your best
- 3:35Speaker 1: and best isn't good enough? What you through? That's it?
- 3:39Speaker 1: But Steve, it was my best? No no, no, no no no.
- 3:42Speaker 1: It was the best you had at that time, in
- 3:45Speaker 1: that particular day. But tomorrow add something to it. You've
- 3:52Speaker 1: you've never done everything. There is no you can't go
- 3:55Speaker 1: no more, you can't add no more. I've seen marathon
- 4:00Speaker 1: us end up crawling across the line. I've seen triath
- 4:03Speaker 1: line people man just staggering in the street and didn't
- 4:07Speaker 1: want nobody to help them because they knew that would
- 4:10Speaker 1: disqualify them from the race. You got more? Have you
- 4:15Speaker 1: ever dipped into your reserve tank? That's what we're talking
- 4:19Speaker 1: about now. See, all of us have a reserve tank.
- 4:24Speaker 1: You know. I You know, on my ranch, I like
- 4:26Speaker 1: to ride four wheelers. I have all terrain vehicles and
- 4:30Speaker 1: all of them have a gas tank on it and
- 4:33Speaker 1: a gas tank and most of mine let me see
- 4:35Speaker 1: all of them. Yeah, all of them have gas tank
- 4:37Speaker 1: needles on them, and it lets me know. When I
- 4:40Speaker 1: get down towards eat there's a little lane that's read
- 4:44Speaker 1: that lets me know. Okay, Steve, you're in the danger zone.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Now you're riding into the lowest part of your tank.
- 4:50Speaker 1: But if I keep riding and I forget to get
- 4:53Speaker 1: some gas in there, guess what when it runs out
- 4:56Speaker 1: of gas. All of my all terrain vehicle, all of them,
- 5:01Speaker 1: Honda Polaris, all of them. Those are the makers. There's
- 5:06Speaker 1: a button on the gas tank itself that I can
- 5:10Speaker 1: click and it says reserve. That means they know that
- 5:16Speaker 1: for the hardcore riders, they're gonna ride somewhere and they're
- 5:19Speaker 1: gonna get themselves in a situation and they're gonna run
- 5:23Speaker 1: out of everything. They're gonna run out of road, they're
- 5:25Speaker 1: gonna run out of gas. They've prepared because they know
- 5:29Speaker 1: for the hardcore rider, every hardcore rider needs a reserve tank.
- 5:34Speaker 1: And so there's a button that you can click on
- 5:36Speaker 1: the gas tank that clicks it into a reserve, and
- 5:40Speaker 1: it will give you about fifty miles or twenty miles
- 5:44Speaker 1: worth of gas in that Now, guess what in that
- 5:48Speaker 1: reserve That may be all you need to get you
- 5:51Speaker 1: the where you're going, or get you back to safety
- 5:54Speaker 1: so you can refuel. Don't tell me you've done your best.
- 5:58Speaker 1: When your best, don't cut it. What you're gonna do.
- 6:02Speaker 1: See when best is possible, then good enough ain't enough.
- 6:08Speaker 1: See that's good enough. But if the best is possible,
- 6:11Speaker 1: why would you not shoot for that? And you you
- 6:13Speaker 1: are all capable of making it. But you've got to
- 6:17Speaker 1: change your mindset and realize the effort that has to
- 6:20Speaker 1: be put forth in becoming successful. You've got to do
- 6:25Speaker 1: it relentlessly, over and over and over and over and
- 6:28Speaker 1: every day. I try to do something to progress my
- 6:32Speaker 1: life for the better. I try to do something every day.
- 6:36Speaker 1: I wake up every day with the plan. Some phone calls,
- 6:39Speaker 1: some meetings, some some some interviews. Something man that's going
- 6:44Speaker 1: to advance and move the brand forward. Because here's what's
- 6:47Speaker 1: gonna happen. You are Let's say you reach your goal
- 6:51Speaker 1: Let's say your goal is to make one hundred thousand dollars. Well,
- 6:56Speaker 1: I got news for you. Listen to this. When you
- 6:59Speaker 1: make the one hundred thousand dollars, you can't go noway
- 7:02Speaker 1: and go on vacation and put your hand behind your
- 7:05Speaker 1: head and say, I made a hundred thousand dollars. Guess
- 7:07Speaker 1: what you got to do? You got to find a
- 7:10Speaker 1: way now to maintain that one hundred thousand, to keep
- 7:13Speaker 1: it coming in. So you can't just get there and
- 7:17Speaker 1: stop and rest and whoa. It is harder to maintain
- 7:21Speaker 1: your success that it is to get successful. See let's say,
- 7:26Speaker 1: let me let me show you this. Supposed it takes
- 7:28Speaker 1: you five to eight years to find a way to
- 7:34Speaker 1: make fifty thousand dollars. Let's say it takes you five
- 7:37Speaker 1: to eight years to find a way to make an
- 7:40Speaker 1: extra fifty thousand dollars, and you finally, through work and effort,
- 7:44Speaker 1: you get to the fifty thousand dollars. More. That's that's
- 7:49Speaker 1: it's only just begun now, because guess what, in order
- 7:52Speaker 1: to keep the fifty coming in, you got to duplicate
- 7:57Speaker 1: what you did to get there, and then, oh, here's
- 8:01Speaker 1: what you're going to have the audacity being a human being.
- 8:05Speaker 1: You're gonna want another fifty because you're a human being,
- 8:10Speaker 1: because you gotta have something else to shoot for. Now
- 8:12Speaker 1: you're gonna want another fifty. Well, now that guess what
- 8:14Speaker 1: you gotta do. Now, Now you gotta do what you
- 8:16Speaker 1: did before, plus you gotta come up with something else.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Then after that, you're gonna have the audacity. Because you're humans,
- 8:24Speaker 1: you're gonna want another fifty. Says how this works? And
- 8:30Speaker 1: see that that's that that's the importance of your relationship
- 8:33Speaker 1: with God, because you're gonna constantly need it and ain't
- 8:36Speaker 1: have a point where you're gonna be through needing it.
- 8:39Speaker 1: But there ain't gonna become a point in your life
- 8:41Speaker 1: where you're gonna through. Won't through be through, won't nothing
- 8:43Speaker 1: unless you don't just gave up. And if you don't
- 8:45Speaker 1: gave up, who wants that? Come on, y'all, this is
- 8:49Speaker 1: going to take quite a bit of effort, And if
- 8:53Speaker 1: you think it will come to you any other way,
- 8:55Speaker 1: you're sadly mistaken. Because of all the successful people I know,
- 9:00Speaker 1: I know that the effort they put out on a
- 9:02Speaker 1: daily basis is daunting, and I think that the average
- 9:05Speaker 1: person just doesn't understand the requirement of time and effort
- 9:09Speaker 1: that it takes to get that and willingness to put
- 9:11Speaker 1: it out. You gotta cut a lot of monkey business
- 9:15Speaker 1: out your life. All that hanging out, all that late
- 9:19Speaker 1: and all that club and all that drinking, all that.
- 9:22Speaker 1: You gotta cut a whole lot of monkey business out
- 9:24Speaker 1: to be successful. Man, if you're planning on being successful,
- 9:30Speaker 1: get up early, stay up late, work, try, think, meet, greet, smile, attract.
- 9:37Speaker 1: It takes a lot, let's go, but you can do it.
- 9:40Speaker 1: God is pressed to plassing out blessings all day long.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Why are you not in line for yours? I'm telling
- 9:46Speaker 1: you right now, I want everything God got for me
- 9:49Speaker 1: because what he's shown me so far. Who if he
- 9:52Speaker 1: got some more? Man on man, how good is God?
- 9:55Speaker 1: Hunh ladies and gentleman, man, have your undivided attention. Please
- 10:04Speaker 1: hear ye, hear ye. I am the judge, the jury,
- 10:09Speaker 1: I am both lawyers. I'm the prosecutor and the defendant.
- 10:15Speaker 1: That's court right there. In other words, this morning, I
- 10:20Speaker 1: will pretend to be the president. Oh please, do ain't that?
- 10:27Speaker 1: What are you doing? Everybody? Yeah? Yeah, yeah? He don't
- 10:34Speaker 1: turn in subpoenas tax reports. He don't come to the court.
- 10:38Speaker 1: He don't let you testify. He's a king. Yeah, they
- 10:42Speaker 1: have a trial. They ain't got to show, no evidence,
- 10:45Speaker 1: no interviews. It's amazing. He get his boy off. Reduced
- 10:51Speaker 1: the best meme yesterday that said President's Day has been
- 10:54Speaker 1: canceled until we get one. Yeah. I saw that. Cute.
- 11:04Speaker 1: It is what it is. Though, he'll we vote baby.
- 11:07Speaker 1: I saw one of the amen from the Beverly Hill Billies.
- 11:12Speaker 1: It said effort. I'm gonna run since anybody can be
- 11:16Speaker 1: president twenty twenty, I'm running anybody can be Yeah, yeah, wow. Yeah.
- 11:25Speaker 1: They've asked me to run, but I've told him why
- 11:28Speaker 1: I can't sew and the need of me getting it. No, no, no,
- 11:31Speaker 1: all that's gone now you can you can't raw. Yeah,
- 11:35Speaker 1: if he can be president, surely anybody. Oh absolutely not.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Don't think so. Why you say absolutely not? Doc? When
- 11:48Speaker 1: they run my background check? Your background ain't that bad?
- 11:52Speaker 1: You're but wait a minute, your president, you could cancel
- 11:55Speaker 1: all that and you ain't having four five bankrupts. What
- 12:01Speaker 1: I got to do with it? Nothing? When you black, well,
- 12:07Speaker 1: there's that, yeah, yeah, you filter that in, then you
- 12:11Speaker 1: understand why I can't run. Yeah, you know if Obama
- 12:17Speaker 1: had done any of this, Wait a minute, Wait a minute,
- 12:21Speaker 1: hold up a porno star one hundred thirty thousand, wait,
- 12:25Speaker 1: hold up? Had a playboy bunny in Michelle's house? What?
- 12:30Speaker 1: And still being president? Are you crazy? Are you kidding me?
- 12:34Speaker 1: Ain't showed his tax returns? What? Right now? Now? Right?
- 12:42Speaker 1: R tweet his entire cabinet meddling everything. Yeah, all the
- 12:49Speaker 1: foreign countries half your boys in jail, Chris, Yes, foreign
- 12:55Speaker 1: countries meddled in the election. And you talk to another
- 12:59Speaker 1: foreign country withheld aid from that, you know President Obama
- 13:03Speaker 1: would have been going, Yeah, that's sad. Yeah, well yeah,
- 13:11Speaker 1: we gotta vote like tooth got to vote. Well, yeah,
- 13:16Speaker 1: we got to vote like our lives depend on it.
- 13:18Speaker 1: And I'm still waiting to see the combination, sir. All right,
- 13:23Speaker 1: well listen, we'll switch gears here and coming up at
- 13:28Speaker 1: thirty two minutes after the hour, a woman catches her
- 13:32Speaker 1: best friend's hubby with a pregnant woman. Huh okay, Steve,
- 13:38Speaker 1: we want we want to hear from you on this.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Right after this, I'll give you the story. Right after this.
- 13:43Speaker 1: You're listening to finding out a secret about someone's spouse
- 13:49Speaker 1: is always a tricky situation, and one woman is now
- 13:53Speaker 1: wondering whether or not she should tell her best friend
- 13:56Speaker 1: the scandalous thing she just discovered about her husband. Now, Steve,
- 14:00Speaker 1: this woman is from New York City. She sent us
- 14:03Speaker 1: this story from the internet, and she is asking for
- 14:06Speaker 1: a friend. Ha ha ha quote quote, you know those
- 14:09Speaker 1: air quotes. But she's asking for a friend who might
- 14:13Speaker 1: be in a similar situation. A woman was recently at
- 14:16Speaker 1: a prenatal doctor's appointment when she saw her best friend's
- 14:19Speaker 1: husband there with a very pregnant woman. She notes, uh,
- 14:24Speaker 1: by their actions, they were definitely a couple. Okay, She adds,
- 14:30Speaker 1: I was shocked when I saw him, and I regret
- 14:33Speaker 1: not speaking to him now, and wonders whether she should
- 14:36Speaker 1: tell her best friend what she saw now. I know,
- 14:40Speaker 1: I already know what you're gonna say. But what do
- 14:42Speaker 1: you think this woman should do? Or have you ever
- 14:45Speaker 1: caught a friend's spouse in a compromising situation? Yeah? Yeah,
- 14:49Speaker 1: but here's here's this is probably just yeah, this is
- 14:56Speaker 1: all Lucie is he took his cousin to the doctor
- 14:59Speaker 1: cause she needed a ride. Cousin, Yeah, yeah, yeah, did
- 15:06Speaker 1: you hear the part when I said they by their actions,
- 15:09Speaker 1: they were definitely a couple. You can hold your cousin's
- 15:13Speaker 1: hand and pat it and be supportive, you know, and
- 15:16Speaker 1: listen to your cousin. Well, you got it, you know
- 15:20Speaker 1: he kicking. Oh, let me here and put your head
- 15:23Speaker 1: on the stomach. That's probably all that was right there. You. Oh,
- 15:29Speaker 1: he can just go and just kill himself right now.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Different options he got You got easy, got to sell
- 15:36Speaker 1: his cousins store, or you got to go on to
- 15:39Speaker 1: start killing yourself. Just right. Scrape up some money and
- 15:45Speaker 1: give it to this bench, friends, so she can be quiet. Oh,
- 15:48Speaker 1: hush money, the hush money. Okay, get up by fifty
- 15:53Speaker 1: thousand in her hand real quick, that thousand, Tom. But
- 16:00Speaker 1: I'm talking about don't ever say nothing ever ever? Yeah,
- 16:04Speaker 1: so you hey, for the rest of her life, church
- 16:09Speaker 1: mouse man. So should she tell her friend though? Ain't
- 16:15Speaker 1: it no your friend for what? Because the woman was pregnant? Uh?
- 16:23Speaker 1: You saw her husband at the doctor's office with another woman? Yeah, Well, y'all, ladies,
- 16:34Speaker 1: you know I'm my business. You're gonna tell the carp
- 16:38Speaker 1: FaceTime at the doctor's office. Girl, God, it's not my business.
- 16:45Speaker 1: As soon as I see you on your phone. I'm
- 16:47Speaker 1: snatching your damn phone running out. Don't be called nobody,
- 16:53Speaker 1: not right now. You Now, if I see Carla at
- 16:56Speaker 1: a doctor's office, put about fold out, I just pull
- 17:03Speaker 1: a gun out and robbed the place. That's what I now.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Now you're caring, that's what I was doing in here.
- 17:13Speaker 1: You're a criminal that everybody on the floor. Yeah, that's
- 17:16Speaker 1: what I do. What I before, I before I let
- 17:19Speaker 1: you can't this back to the house. I just robbed
- 17:22Speaker 1: the place. Surely you wouldn't say anything. This is just
- 17:29Speaker 1: her friend. I couldn't do that. I haven't seen it
- 17:32Speaker 1: go bad every time. Couldn't do it. Yeah, I just
- 17:35Speaker 1: couldn't do it. It's not your business. You don't know,
- 17:39Speaker 1: best friend. You don't know. Yeah, that's right, Yeah, I don't.
- 17:45Speaker 1: I don't see what telling this is gonna accomplish them.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Because here's a deal. Here's the truth of the matter.
- 17:51Speaker 1: In all seriousness. You can't hide a baby, No, you can't.
- 17:56Speaker 1: This is you can't hide the other family. Na, man,
- 18:01Speaker 1: this here, this here comes to light. Yeah, and it's
- 18:05Speaker 1: not necessarily I feel your job to bring it to light.
- 18:08Speaker 1: In due time, everything will come out. But now let's
- 18:12Speaker 1: just suppose. Let's take this scenario. You go to her
- 18:15Speaker 1: and you're telling turns out it's nothing, and now you
- 18:17Speaker 1: bought this to me to try to mess me up,
- 18:19Speaker 1: telling exactly to mess right, you mess backfire on you.
- 18:26Speaker 1: If it's my best friend, that relationship that I have
- 18:30Speaker 1: with my best friend, that's like a sister to me,
- 18:36Speaker 1: I don't think. I don't think our relationship your your
- 18:42Speaker 1: Your responsibility as her best friend is support her when
- 18:46Speaker 1: she finds out, because she's going to find out. You're
- 18:49Speaker 1: supposed to be there for her when she finds out,
- 18:51Speaker 1: that shoulder to cry on. Okay, I'll be there and
- 18:56Speaker 1: let me ask you another question. Here's a question for everybody.
- 18:59Speaker 1: Tom I'm gonna start with you. Have you ever had
- 19:02Speaker 1: a best friend that ain't your best friend? No more? Yep, Corlin,
- 19:08Speaker 1: have you ever had a best friend that ain't your
- 19:10Speaker 1: best friend? No more? No? Have you ever had a
- 19:15Speaker 1: best friend that ain't your best friend? Yes? Yes, I
- 19:19Speaker 1: have had a best friend that ain't my best friend.
- 19:21Speaker 1: No more. You you've had a you've had a wonderful life. Call. Congratulations,
- 19:29Speaker 1: you have had wonderful Oh, because I still have my
- 19:33Speaker 1: best friend? Well, I mean, I mean, I'm just talking
- 19:36Speaker 1: about in your life, have you ever had a best friend?
- 19:38Speaker 1: I'm talking about throughout the duration. I'm not talking about
- 19:40Speaker 1: your girl toy, because you and your girl toys your
- 19:42Speaker 1: best friend. Yeah, but yeah before that in college, you
- 19:47Speaker 1: ain't have a best friend growing up, because in college
- 19:50Speaker 1: I had a best friend. She was she's been my
- 19:53Speaker 1: best friend since we were thirteen years old. But our
- 19:57Speaker 1: moms were best friends, right, so we kind of okay,
- 20:01Speaker 1: what I mean, hold on, hold on, hold on, let
- 20:04Speaker 1: me ask you, have you ever had another really good
- 20:07Speaker 1: friend other than her, and y'all ain't friends no more. Absolutely,
- 20:12Speaker 1: here we go. That's what I'm talking about, getting right there. Yea, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 20:18Speaker 1: because I see you may not have lost your very
- 20:22Speaker 1: best friend, but all of us that have lived in
- 20:25Speaker 1: this world long enough has lost what we thought was
- 20:28Speaker 1: a ride at that absolutely oh absolutely yeah yeah. All right,
- 20:33Speaker 1: good combo. We gotta come back though with the nephew
- 20:37Speaker 1: and run that prank back that's coming up right after
- 20:39Speaker 1: this you're listening. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 20:46Speaker 1: Miss Anna's standing by with today's national news and then
- 20:49Speaker 1: trending entertainment news. We'll talk about all of these stories
- 20:52Speaker 1: at the top of the hour. But right now the
- 20:54Speaker 1: nephew is here to run that prank back. What do
- 20:57Speaker 1: you have for his nev Freedom papers? What? Wait a minute,
- 21:02Speaker 1: freedom papers, don't do you just don't do it. In
- 21:05Speaker 1: February this is the best time to run freedom paper,

- 21:13Speaker 1: worst time when we run up on y'all. You need
- 21:16Speaker 1: to have your papers, Okay, get these papers. When I
- 21:21Speaker 1: see you need to have your freedom papers. Okay, you're

- 22:31Speaker 1: papers let them know that you're actually a free person
- 22:34Speaker 1: in this country. Oh oh oh I've been free. I'm sorry,
- 22:39Speaker 1: ain't no favor. Well I'm free. Well you you you
- 22:44Speaker 1: may be, but you have to actually show PaperWorks for that.
- 22:48Speaker 1: When when did they started? Sir? This is all over
- 22:51Speaker 1: the news. You have to have freedom papers within the
- 22:54Speaker 1: next six months. Every African American person, it's gonna have
- 22:58Speaker 1: to have freedom papers and have them on on the
- 23:02Speaker 1: you know. Uh, it's it's like keeping a driver's license
- 23:05Speaker 1: or a checkbook or something. You're gonna have to have
- 23:07Speaker 1: your freedom papers on you. That's some, that's them, that's some.
- 23:12Speaker 1: I'm free. I'm not about to pay no money when
- 23:14Speaker 1: I'm already free. Okay, but you're gonna be, sir, You're
- 23:16Speaker 1: gonna need paperwork to show your freedom and you don't.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Do you have any freedom papers at this point right now? No,
- 23:23Speaker 1: because I don't need freedom I'm free, sir. I don't
- 23:26Speaker 1: think you quite understand. Do you understand that you could
- 23:28Speaker 1: possibly if you're caught without your freedom papers, you could
- 23:32Speaker 1: be taken into captive and actually have to work for
- 23:36Speaker 1: so many years in order and then later on you
- 23:39Speaker 1: might get your freedom. But right now, right here, if
- 23:42Speaker 1: you buy freedom papers from me, I can I can
- 23:44Speaker 1: fix it where you don't go through that. You could
- 23:47Speaker 1: actually get separated from your family. Sir. I'm not going
- 23:50Speaker 1: to buy where they gonna send me to where they
- 23:51Speaker 1: gonna deport me to after I've never been there. No, No,
- 23:54Speaker 1: you're not going to Africa. You could be actually here
- 23:56Speaker 1: in the United States working on a particular farm with
- 24:00Speaker 1: a lot of people who don't have their papers. If
- 24:04Speaker 1: you haven't gotten this news, I do apologize, But within
- 24:06Speaker 1: the next six months you're going to need freedom papers
- 24:11Speaker 1: to you anyway, sir. Like I said before, I'm Scott

- 24:22Speaker 1: I don't give what it is. I'm not about to
- 24:24Speaker 1: pay no money to be free, sir. You have to
- 24:27Speaker 1: have paperwork on you to show that you are a
- 24:30Speaker 1: free citizen of the United States. Hold how you get
- 24:34Speaker 1: my number anyway? Sir? We have a list of numbers
- 24:36Speaker 1: of people that we don't think have their freedom papers,
- 24:39Speaker 1: and your name actually popped up here in our database,
- 24:42Speaker 1: so you men pop up on Okay, sir, I'm trying
- 24:46Speaker 1: to give my number. Sir. We have a database here

- 24:57Speaker 1: want to make sure you get them. We're letting you
- 25:00Speaker 1: know it's two hundred dollars per person to get these
- 25:03Speaker 1: actual paperies. So you're telling me you got database and
- 25:06Speaker 1: you just call them black people all around the punchers. Well, no, sir,
- 25:10Speaker 1: what we're doing is we're calling African Americans and let them,
- 25:12Speaker 1: letting them know that they can actually buy freedom papers
- 25:16Speaker 1: from us, so they don't have to be if they're
- 25:18Speaker 1: if they're if they ever get captured, then what can
- 25:21Speaker 1: happen is is that they can show their papers and
- 25:24Speaker 1: not have to deal with the problems that we already free.
- 25:28Speaker 1: You're gonna have a whole bunch of runaway because we
- 25:30Speaker 1: ain't paying. I'm not faing they might, but I'm not paying. Sure,
- 25:34Speaker 1: you're gonna have to have your freedom papers on you
- 25:36Speaker 1: at all times. That's gonna be the law within the
- 25:39Speaker 1: next six months. So what I'm trying to end you
- 25:41Speaker 1: sell you freedom papers so you'll understand that you have
- 25:44Speaker 1: everything that you need. You have your driver's license, you
- 25:47Speaker 1: have your freedom papers, and whatever else did you carry
- 25:50Speaker 1: on you you had Let's be out. Your mom called

- 37:27Speaker 1: I do love you. I don't like it like you.
- 37:29Speaker 1: That's completely different. Yeah, away from dancing on the cylinder,
- 37:34Speaker 1: he said he didn't like his attitude. Okay, he probably
- 37:38Speaker 1: want everybody to adore him. You know, time me, you
- 37:40Speaker 1: know what you're talking about. You know how you want
- 37:44Speaker 1: to everybody to adore you. You know how that is. Yeah,
- 37:49Speaker 1: ever since you was a baby, you don't want everybody

- 39:27Speaker 1: than anybody in the world. They make better television, they
- 39:30Speaker 1: make better movies. It's the entertainment capital of the World's Hollywood.
- 39:35Speaker 1: Nobody does it better than Hollywood. Nobody so much better. Well,
- 39:40Speaker 1: they have this stuff called dust. We're the only country
- 39:44Speaker 1: that goes to milk buyas formats from other countries, brings
- 39:48Speaker 1: them to Hollywood, changes the name of the format, puts
- 39:52Speaker 1: that Hollywood dust on it, bales and whistles on it,
- 39:55Speaker 1: repolish it, and then sell it back to the same
- 39:58Speaker 1: people we got it from, and then we sell it
- 40:02Speaker 1: around the world. Nobody does that, but the United States.
- 40:04Speaker 1: They're the best in the business at it. That's the
- 40:07Speaker 1: only thing they do better that I know it. Okay.
- 40:11Speaker 1: I mean they allowed for opportunities too, I think that
- 40:15Speaker 1: other countries don't have. But yeah, those are the things. Okay,
- 40:20Speaker 1: good answer, all right, Steve, What are you still doing
- 40:23Speaker 1: that you're supposed to be too old to do? Or
- 40:27Speaker 1: you're too old for its? People out you're too old
- 40:34Speaker 1: to be custom old? And you know what, Sirley, I
- 40:36Speaker 1: know I am, and I know good and well man,
- 40:43Speaker 1: I'm supposed to let a lot of this stuff go.
- 40:45Speaker 1: I already know that, already know that. Just yesterday I
- 40:51Speaker 1: was in Beverly Hills coming out of a store called Balloting.
- 40:54Speaker 1: This lady outside waiting on me with an iPhone camera.
- 40:58Speaker 1: She and paparazzi. Wasn't no care. I'm nothing I saw outside,

- 41:04Speaker 1: these days? I said, what, how's Lorie these days? I said, Laurie? Fine? Well,
- 41:10Speaker 1: how does she survive? Or attack? And all this? I say,
- 41:13Speaker 1: I love Lord, I love my daughter Laurie. That's all
- 41:17Speaker 1: you need to know. Well, how does she survive that?
- 41:19Speaker 1: Because she got a great father? Oh and got on
- 41:23Speaker 1: in the damn car. I ain't good for that, right, Yeah,
- 41:28Speaker 1: so now that's what I do. I'm still cussing folks out.
- 41:31Speaker 1: I didn't cuss, however, when I roll that window up, though,
- 41:34Speaker 1: I let her have it. Yeah, but you know what
- 41:37Speaker 1: come to you with about your kids? Though, I'm sorry,
- 41:41Speaker 1: I don't care. I don't care what my kids do.
- 41:44Speaker 1: I'm with him right right to the wheels fall off? Now,
- 41:47Speaker 1: what help off? That's nothing to do with you being
- 41:50Speaker 1: too old or anything. It's just you're her dad. You're
- 41:53Speaker 1: her protector, and you know that. That's just one example.
- 41:57Speaker 1: You get cussed out by the number of things here though,

- 42:18Speaker 1: you might be too old to do that. Fight. Well okay, okay,
- 42:21Speaker 1: well that's on the list too. But you only ask
- 42:23Speaker 1: me for one thing. I did ask you one thing.
- 42:26Speaker 1: Next question, Okay, I'm scared to ask you something. Let
- 42:33Speaker 1: me think I thought about this. Okay, here go, here go.
- 42:36Speaker 1: If you was a pawn star with a kid, how
- 42:40Speaker 1: would you describe your line of work to your child? Well, sir,
- 42:45Speaker 1: sit down, here we go. Your daddy is in the
- 42:52Speaker 1: blessed business. What I do is I bless people that
- 42:58Speaker 1: want to be blessed. And you know, I don't even
- 43:02Speaker 1: got to know him, so it's my job to bless
- 43:06Speaker 1: them so that I'm able to bless you and your
- 43:08Speaker 1: brothers and sisters so y'all can have grossers. I'm in
- 43:12Speaker 1: the blessed business, and when I'm working. A matter of fact,
- 43:15Speaker 1: that's my name blessed. That was just graul daddy, the
- 43:23Speaker 1: bless stage. Blessed. What do you do on take your
- 43:33Speaker 1: kid to work? Yeah, well career. Well that's when I
- 43:40Speaker 1: walk in and all the teachers look a little surprised
- 43:47Speaker 1: when I come in in that bathrobe. It's pretty much
- 43:50Speaker 1: said it was about to happen. I'm coming up cloth
- 43:56Speaker 1: robe for show. Take today's spring phone call within that
- 44:00Speaker 1: you right after this you're listening to show coming up
- 44:05Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, right about four minutes after.
- 44:08Speaker 1: It's my strawberry letter for today. The subject when being
- 44:11Speaker 1: backwards and Bushie collide. Uh right, yeah, backwards and Bushie collide.
- 44:17Speaker 1: But right now, nephew in the building with today's frank
- 44:20Speaker 1: phone call. What you got for us? Nap? Lashing out?
- 44:23Speaker 1: Shirley lashing out, lashing Okay, okay, here we go. Hey,
- 44:33Speaker 1: it's lashing out. How can we lash out? I'm trying
- 44:37Speaker 1: to reach Bianca. This is Bianca. Hey, listen, my name
- 44:40Speaker 1: is Brian m my wife Jamie. Come up there and
- 44:43Speaker 1: get out. Our lash is done? Is uh? Who's the
- 44:46Speaker 1: owner of this place? I am Brian? What's going on? Okay?
- 44:50Speaker 1: Going on? You beat? You're Bianca? Are you the one
- 44:52Speaker 1: that own the place? I'm Bianca. I'm the owner. We
- 44:55Speaker 1: opened about a year and a half ago. Proud, happy,
- 44:59Speaker 1: black owned women own, woman owned establishment. What can I
- 45:02Speaker 1: do for you? Here's a deal. I'm sick and tired
- 45:06Speaker 1: of my wife coming up there and then when she
- 45:08Speaker 1: get back home. She got these thick eyelashes on and
- 45:12Speaker 1: they long as hell, you know, I mean, it's these
- 45:15Speaker 1: eyelashes thicking on somebody's mustash. It's a damn shane, you
- 45:18Speaker 1: know not. And told her to take this hold up. Brian. Now,
- 45:23Speaker 1: I may or may not be the person doing it.
- 45:26Speaker 1: But whoever, I'm pretty sure probably that sounds familiar. But whoever,
- 45:30Speaker 1: we have a lot of customers. But whoever comes in here,
- 45:32Speaker 1: they pick their lashes. We we you know, we collaborate,
- 45:36Speaker 1: but the girls are saying what they want done. They
- 45:38Speaker 1: pick it. So if they're thick, they're thick because they
- 45:41Speaker 1: want them thick. Okay, they're too thick. And then and
- 45:45Speaker 1: they too long. Your eyelashes ain't supposed to be sticking away.
- 45:48Speaker 1: I'll pass your nose. That's a damn shame. But let
- 45:51Speaker 1: me let me tell you what I'm getting at though.
- 45:53Speaker 1: Here's here's here's my reason for calling. If my wife
- 45:56Speaker 1: come home one say what, Brian? Can you simmer down?
- 46:00Speaker 1: Because I mean, I'm running a business here and you
- 46:03Speaker 1: sound crazy. They can hear you through the fall and
- 46:05Speaker 1: the girls they're looking at me in the chair. I
- 46:08Speaker 1: don't know what's going on. I don't know. Can you
- 46:10Speaker 1: calm down? You're loud and screaming. All I'm saying is,
- 46:14Speaker 1: if my wife come home with the long thinking as
- 46:17Speaker 1: I lads is again, I'm gonna come up there and
- 46:19Speaker 1: raise holy hell at that damn place. I'm telling you
- 46:21Speaker 1: the truth about that. You're not What are you talking about?
- 46:24Speaker 1: Why are you threatening me? You are not coming up here.
- 46:28Speaker 1: I'm coming up there. You if my wife coming home
- 46:29Speaker 1: with them thick as long eye lasses again, I am no,
- 46:33Speaker 1: You're not coming up here. We just opened a year
- 46:35Speaker 1: and a half ago. We are doing this. We don't
- 46:37Speaker 1: need no drama for nobody. You need to talk to
- 46:40Speaker 1: your wife, fix your marriage. Don't come out here taking it.
- 46:43Speaker 1: Ain't nothing wrong with my marriage. The only thing wrong
- 46:45Speaker 1: with my marriage is the damn thinking as I ladded,
- 46:47Speaker 1: and they too long. That's the Why are you? Why
- 46:50Speaker 1: are you calling me with this? See now I'm yell
- 46:53Speaker 1: because I'm calling because this is where she got her
- 46:55Speaker 1: eyelashes done. Oh my god, Oh my god. Didn't you
- 46:59Speaker 1: need to talk to you your wife? Okay, I need
- 47:01Speaker 1: to calm down. I'm running a business here. What you're
- 47:04Speaker 1: trying to do sabotazing me? What you work for the cars.
- 47:06Speaker 1: I ain't trying to sabotage numb but I tell you
- 47:08Speaker 1: what if you come home with the long thicket, as
- 47:10Speaker 1: I last again, I'm gonna come up there and I'm
- 47:12Speaker 1: gonna find all the violations of colds and everything building colds,
- 47:15Speaker 1: and I will get you shut down if we don't
- 47:18Speaker 1: stop these long thinking As I last. Okay, Brian, I'm
- 47:22Speaker 1: from the South Side, So mother, you need to back up,
- 47:26Speaker 1: because now you're threatening my livelihood. Yes, I'm gonna go
- 47:29Speaker 1: there with you. You're threatening my livelihood. You're threatening the
- 47:32Speaker 1: jobs of so many girls here. What are you doing?
- 47:35Speaker 1: You need to talk to your wife and you need
- 47:37Speaker 1: to back the fox up. And I am sorry to courage.
- 47:40Speaker 1: We try to speak class here, but now you're making
- 47:43Speaker 1: me lash out at from lash out. But you need
- 47:46Speaker 1: to back up. This is my job and people have jobs.
- 47:50Speaker 1: What are you going threatening to come up here. I'm
- 47:52Speaker 1: gonna call the cops on you and you will not
- 47:54Speaker 1: be able to come here and we will not let
- 47:56Speaker 1: your get her her her eyelashes night. And you need
- 47:59Speaker 1: to fix your marriage because you got some anger issues.
- 48:02Speaker 1: Clearly you pissed off at your wife and you calling
- 48:04Speaker 1: us threatening to ruin our business. Wryan, what is your
- 48:07Speaker 1: wife's name? What my wife name is? My wife name
- 48:10Speaker 1: is Jamie? Okay, because anybody is here, no Jamie or
- 48:14Speaker 1: do Jamie's lashes? Okay, it's like four girls raising their
- 48:19Speaker 1: hand because everybody goes to somebody different. So I don't
- 48:23Speaker 1: know who it is does Jamie's lashes? But you got
- 48:27Speaker 1: some anger issues? Okay? I ain't got no anger issue.
- 48:29Speaker 1: The only problem I got is my wife having some long,
- 48:32Speaker 1: thick eyelashes and they further out than her nose and
- 48:35Speaker 1: thinking into somebody's much there. That's what I got a
- 48:37Speaker 1: problem with. Okay. You know what, Jamie just needs to
- 48:40Speaker 1: leave your because if you got an issue, call her.
- 48:43Speaker 1: Why are you calling us? It's people that put Why
- 48:47Speaker 1: wouldn't I call the people that put the thick lashes on?
- 48:50Speaker 1: Why wouldn't I? Well, first of all, you need to
- 48:53Speaker 1: talk to Jamie and send her up here. We're gonna
- 48:56Speaker 1: tell her that to leave your first of all, thinking
- 48:59Speaker 1: of all, I don't I can I help you? You
- 49:02Speaker 1: are interrupting my grinding. Okay, we are interrupting our grinding,
- 49:07Speaker 1: and we got a business going here. What is your problem?
- 49:10Speaker 1: Can't you go do some work, Go and talk to
- 49:12Speaker 1: your wife and speaks your marriage. You know what I
- 49:16Speaker 1: tell you what I'll tell you. I'll tell you what, Bianca,
- 49:18Speaker 1: I'll tell you what you're not trying to fix. No, no, no,
- 49:20Speaker 1: you're trying to fix the problem. I'll be up there.
- 49:22Speaker 1: I'll be up there and I will bring somebody that
- 49:25Speaker 1: will shut that doody. Call the cops right now. Call

- 49:31Speaker 1: they threatening us at last out call see the three

- 51:16Speaker 1: wife home, no MOLDI thick eye lasses and they're too long.
- 51:19Speaker 1: It's too much. Now I'm sick of. I'm tired of.
- 51:21Speaker 1: She's been come home no more. Yeah, I'm sure your
- 51:27Speaker 1: your wife decides which one is she gonna get out
- 51:29Speaker 1: of that. That's some huh. I don't get. She's been
- 51:32Speaker 1: out come home, Emodi long as I last whole damn
- 51:37Speaker 1: place off? What I do? You know how long they've
- 51:45Speaker 1: been open don't you come up with some hignity ass mess.
- 51:50Speaker 1: I'm telling you, how are you to call it? It's
- 51:58Speaker 1: really a talent to be that. Somebody said it to
- 52:03Speaker 1: your nephew. I appreciate that. And I'll be stupid on

- 53:48Speaker 1: is Strawberry Letter. Thank you, nephew. Subject when being Backwards
- 53:52Speaker 1: and Bushie Collide. Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a twenty nine
- 53:57Speaker 1: year old black man and I'm sick to death of
- 53:59Speaker 1: my racist family. No matter what I do, I'm not
- 54:03Speaker 1: black enough for them, and I need your advice on
- 54:06Speaker 1: how to handle it. As a youngster, I was interested
- 54:09Speaker 1: in the arts, literature, and I played I preferred classical
- 54:12Speaker 1: music and jazz. They're ignorant. Behinds always said that I
- 54:16Speaker 1: was acting too white, and they forced me to play
- 54:19Speaker 1: sports and listen to hip hop music. Since I was
- 54:22Speaker 1: a teenager, i've dated white girls, and I've dated black girls.
- 54:26Speaker 1: Whenever I bring a white woman around them, the racist
- 54:29Speaker 1: comments come out. I've always liked healthier foods and I eat.
- 54:36Speaker 1: I eliminated fried foods from my diet over fifteen years ago.
- 54:41Speaker 1: This was a huge problem when I go over for
- 54:43Speaker 1: Sunday dinner because my mom loves to fried pork chops, chicken, fish, shrimp, everything,
- 54:49Speaker 1: and Steve. I know this will make you mad, but
- 54:51Speaker 1: I prefer pumpkin pie for sweet potato pie. I hate
- 54:55Speaker 1: meeting my family out at restaurants for special occasions because
- 54:59Speaker 1: they act so ignor and they complain about the food.
- 55:02Speaker 1: It's embarrassing, and I usually end up smoothing things over
- 55:05Speaker 1: with the manager because I know how to talk to people.
- 55:09Speaker 1: My siblings say, I'm bushie and I'm Saditti, and I
- 55:12Speaker 1: think I'm better than they are. They tell me that
- 55:15Speaker 1: I think I'm all that because I went to college.
- 55:18Speaker 1: I don't regret the path I took in my life.
- 55:21Speaker 1: I've asked my siblings to travel more to get an
- 55:25Speaker 1: idea about the whole line. Oh, I don't regret the
- 55:28Speaker 1: path I took in my life, and I will not
- 55:30Speaker 1: stoop to their level and defend myself for the rest
- 55:32Speaker 1: of my life. I've asked my siblings to travel more
- 55:37Speaker 1: to get an idea of how the world is changed,
- 55:39Speaker 1: and at this rate, they may never change. But if
- 55:41Speaker 1: I have to sit through one more fish fryer, backyard
- 55:44Speaker 1: barbecue and listen to the blues, I'm going to scream.
- 55:48Speaker 1: How can I get my family to get past these stereotypes.
- 55:50Speaker 1: I'm about to stop claiming them what they want to
- 55:55Speaker 1: stop claiming you too. Okay, you're just different. You're a
- 55:58Speaker 1: little different. Every family has one. Uh. They don't appreciate
- 56:02Speaker 1: you being different, and you like to flaunt those differences
- 56:06Speaker 1: in their face. You say you've accused or you've been
- 56:09Speaker 1: accused of acting too white because you like pumpkin pie
- 56:13Speaker 1: over sweet potato pie. Well, I mean, you know, come on,
- 56:17Speaker 1: pumpkin pie. Most black people do like sweet potato pie
- 56:22Speaker 1: over pumpkin pie. You don't want to sit through one
- 56:25Speaker 1: more fish fry Most black people do like fish fries,
- 56:28Speaker 1: most people do like backyard barbecues. Most people like backyard barbecues,
- 56:33Speaker 1: and uh, we like to listen to the blues and
- 56:36Speaker 1: all of that. So I think you both have issues here. Okay,
- 56:40Speaker 1: I think you do a little flaunting. You know, you
- 56:43Speaker 1: date the white girls and you take them around your family,
- 56:46Speaker 1: what do you expect them to say? I mean, you know,
- 56:49Speaker 1: come on, especially if you're flaunting them and doing that
- 56:52Speaker 1: and talking about the fried foods and all the stuff
- 56:55Speaker 1: that you're your family cooked, you don't you know, I'm
- 56:58Speaker 1: sure you're probably saying pork chop. You know, that's what
- 57:01Speaker 1: they eat, That's what that's what your family eats, that's
- 57:05Speaker 1: what your mom likes to cook. You can't be over
- 57:07Speaker 1: there turning your nose up at dinner and doing all
- 57:09Speaker 1: that stuff. You hate meeting your family out at restaurants
- 57:13Speaker 1: because they act so ignorant. They complain about the food. Well,
- 57:16Speaker 1: if the food doesn't taste good, you might hear a
- 57:19Speaker 1: few complaints. I mean, you know, if they don't like
- 57:21Speaker 1: the way it is that you're embarrassed by them all
- 57:24Speaker 1: of that. You may not think you're acting a certain way,
- 57:29Speaker 1: but to them it looked like you are. And for
- 57:32Speaker 1: you to say you're going to stop claiming them, this
- 57:34Speaker 1: is your family, Okay, You're not going to be able
- 57:37Speaker 1: to not to claim them. You may be able to
- 57:39Speaker 1: put some distance between the two of you. How should
- 57:42Speaker 1: you handle this. You just gotta be who you are.
- 57:45Speaker 1: But this is still your family, and you gotta still
- 57:47Speaker 1: love them and appreciate them for who they are, appreciate
- 57:51Speaker 1: each other's differences. Steve unclaimed, they as Yes, That's how
- 57:56Speaker 1: I'm opening his letter. Unclaim they ass free yourself, boy,
- 58:03Speaker 1: you find to live a life. Now. It's a couple
- 58:05Speaker 1: of things going on this letter. You're twenty nine years old.
- 58:09Speaker 1: You sit to death for your racist family. Well, your
- 58:12Speaker 1: family probably racist because they've been forced to be racist.
- 58:15Speaker 1: Most people are reaction to what has happened to them.
- 58:18Speaker 1: But I don't really see where they're being racist in
- 58:21Speaker 1: the letter. I think they just being one sided. I
- 58:25Speaker 1: don't really see racism in here. Maybe this one line
- 58:28Speaker 1: when you bought the white girl over, But I don't
- 58:30Speaker 1: know how your ass thought that was gonna fly in
- 58:32Speaker 1: it damn way. You know your damn family ignant. You're
- 58:35Speaker 1: gonna bring the white girl of your date black girls
- 58:38Speaker 1: and your date white girl, and you bring white girl
- 58:40Speaker 1: over around when Ignat ass people, that's what's gonna happen.
- 58:42Speaker 1: That same thing happened when white people take their black
- 58:45Speaker 1: friends over their white ignort ass family house. Ignat asked
- 58:48Speaker 1: people ain't fining to stop being ignorant. Now, as a youngster,
- 58:52Speaker 1: you was interested in the arts, literature and preferred classic
- 58:55Speaker 1: music and jazz. The ignat ass always told you was
- 58:58Speaker 1: after too white for you to play sport and listening
- 59:01Speaker 1: to hip hop music. Now that right there, ask too
- 59:03Speaker 1: much Because I like jazz myself, don't really give a
- 59:06Speaker 1: damn by classical music. On that part, I have to
- 59:09Speaker 1: agree with them. You're all acting white with the classical
- 59:11Speaker 1: music because you don't know Mozart, theytoven, none of they asked.
- 59:16Speaker 1: So no, I agree with them with that. But that's
- 59:19Speaker 1: don't worry about that. And but hip hop now, hell no,
- 59:23Speaker 1: I'm an armb man that since I was a teenager,
- 59:25Speaker 1: I've dated white girl and I've dated black girls. Whenever
- 59:28Speaker 1: I bring a white woman around them, the racist comments
- 59:30Speaker 1: come out because your family ignat. You don't getting here
- 59:34Speaker 1: wear when you bought the white girl over that they
- 59:36Speaker 1: asked was ignat, don't bring her home unless you use
- 59:39Speaker 1: our coma. They got lines like that black of the
- 59:44Speaker 1: band sweeter than juice? Why you go white? You know
- 59:47Speaker 1: you ain't right? See right? All that igna as semesters
- 59:50Speaker 1: to come out, then you then you've always liked healthy
- 59:53Speaker 1: of foods. I've eliminated fried food from my diet for
- 59:57Speaker 1: fifteen years. What oh man, hold that thought, Steve. We'll
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: have part two of your response coming out. Let me
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: back at this letter after the hour, subject when being
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: backwards collide? All right, we'll be back at twenty three
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: minutes after the hour right after this. You're listening, all right?
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: Come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letters subject with me. Yeah,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: got this twenty nine year old black dude sick of
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: his family. No matter what he'd do, he ain't black
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: enough for him. So he needs your advice on high
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: to Hanley. So here we go. As a youngster, he
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: always interested in arts, literature and preferred classical music and jazz.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: I ain't got no problem with jazz. I love jazz
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: myself too. Now once again I said classical music, Daddy
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: is a little white for me. I don't really know Beethoven,
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: Mozart or Strakovsky or none of them people. And I
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: don't know what the fifth is and the fourth and
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: cliffs and all that. I like music with a beat
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: to it. Anyway. Then they told you that you had
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: to play sports and listen to hip hop music. But
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: that was stupid because you ain't good at sports. Since
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: I was a teenager, I dated white girls and I
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: dated black girls. This ain't had nothing to do with
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: you going to college. You was bringing them home in
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: high school. Now whenever I bring a white woman around them,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: the racist comments come out. What you spec? You got
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: ignort ass family, and you're gonna bring white girl around
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: with ignort ass people. That's what happened when white people
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: take black people around. The ignort ass family a bunch
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: of trailer park hill billy. Now, you don't bought them
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: around these black people don't here to don't like nothing
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: but black hip problem sports. I've always liked healthier foods
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: and I eat eliminated and I eat eliminated fried foods
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: for my dad. What all fried fifteen years here you've
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: been eating. I agree with you. I'm trying to eat
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: healthy now, but I can't pass ups everything. There's a
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: huge when I go for Sunday dinner because my mama
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: love fried pork chopper, fried chicken, fried fish, fried shrimp.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: Everything that Steve, I know this is gonna see. This
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: is where he pissed me off at Steve. I know
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: this gonna make you mad, but I prefer punkin power
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: with sweet pert pay See now, I know your asses white,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: see you would. I was trying to help your ass
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: till you said that right there, you prefer punkin pie
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: over sweet potato pie. I see why they don't like
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: your ass now, because it is push you stupid ass,
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: like it over sweet potato pop. I could deal with everything.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: I was fine with the classical music. Really, I didn't
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: mind the jazz. I didn't mind a little literature. I
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: don't care if you bought a white girl over to
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: the house. But I have a damn if you're gonna
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: sit up here and tell me you prefer punkin pie
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: over sweet potato pipe, man, turn in your damn NAACP
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: card right now. Your asses the race. I hate meeting
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: my family out the restaurants for special occasions because they
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: ask so damn ignorant. They complain about the food. Now
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: because everything ain't fried in the restaurant. Why do you
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: go to these restaurants, these ignort ass people. You're an
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: Italian restaurant I'm telling about dat got no chicken wings?
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: Hell naw, they don't have chicken wings. It's an Italian restaurant.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: No damn chicken wings in here. It's in vast And
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: then you gotta smooth things over with the manager because
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: I know how to talk to people. Now, you siblings
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: say you bullgie and you saidty and I think I'm
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: better than they are. They tell me, I think I'm
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: all that because I went to college. Well, you went
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: to college. You didn't expand it yourself. Now, I don't
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: regret the path I took, and nor should you. I
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: will not stoop to their level. You don't have to,
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: and you ain't got to defend yourself to rest of yourself.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: Cut their ass off. I'll ask my siblings to travel
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: more to get an idea of how the world has changed.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: At this rate, they may never change. They ever gonna
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: change and trying partner. They happy where they at, and
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: they like teasing you because you ain't where they at.
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: But I have to see if I have to sit
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: through one more fish fry or back yard barbecue, let
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: me tell you something. Don't come home to thee okay,
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: because we ain't got no damn punkin pie, and I'm
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: mean to back yard barbecue chance I get. I'm not
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: gonna stop barbecue and listening to the blues. Now, I
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: don't listen to blues in my house no more, because
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: I had enough of that. When I was a child,
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: I listened to the blues so much. I was the
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: most depressed nine year old at the damn stoopid. I
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: was in the fifth grade, just going through something. Little Stevie,
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: what's wrong? My baby left me? And now I'm broke
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: and now I can't sit here no no more. I
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: wanted to get her a but i't mess around, got
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: a d And now what I want to know is
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: what the hell you want from me. I'm just a
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: bad ass student. Can't make if I try. No, na
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: him Na, I'm just a bad ass student. I been ship,
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: always want dude, Why no, How can I get my
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: family to pass these stereotypes? Take your ass punkin pie
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: over there when you go, and every time they cut
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: the sweep potato pie, you take it, slide it off
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: and put your punkin pie on it and sit that
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: because the damn didn't look the same. Now here's another suggestion.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: Quit taking them, white girl over them, Hignet asked, people's
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: house because they not gonna get it. And when they
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: play in hip hop. Your ass is listening to Jay's
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: and enjoy yourself. And next time your mama frostom pump chop,
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: rake the skin off and eat the little fucking little
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: grill pump chop and ain't gonna taste good. Post your
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: comments on today's Strawberry Letter Steve Harvey FM. Hey you
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: don't like street potato pipe man, get your turn in
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: your damn calling on Instagram and Facebook. Don't forget to
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: check out the Strawberry Letter podcast on demand now coming
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: up at forty six minutes after the hour. The stripper
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: who fell off the two story pole is speaking out
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: after having her mouth wired shut. We'll talk about it
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to Harvey Morning Show. Janey Sky.
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: Remember the stripper who plummeted fifteen feet off a pole
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: last week Gentlemen's Club. Yeah, well, she says the ordeal
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: has forced her to get out of the stripping game
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: all together. Uh she came tumbling down, Yeah really she
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: maybe that was inappropriate. She landed on her face, but
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: we did all see her handle it like a pro.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: This was the crazy part. She fell down, got right
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: back up, continued to twork, kept tworking, have broken jaw. Yes,
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: she had off that damn stage out on that front
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: row of people. Yeah, she she had some serious injuries.
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: She yeah, she. She was on the Wendy Williams Show
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: last week. She said that her jaw is wired shut,
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: that her fall was a blessing in disguise because it
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: forced her to stop stripping and go to school to
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: be an estetician. You know. Yeah, yeah, I didn't say
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: I'm partician. What I didn't? What did you say? Wait?
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: Wait wait wait wait right there? I thought I thought
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: that's what that was. You thought? You know it? She
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: wants to be antian. Okay, that's the person skin hair, No,
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: not a beauty. Well if you work at the funeral home,
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: don't you got to do that hair? Yes? You do?
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: How are you? I will leave? How this is? Tommy
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: gets really mad at you see it's like this. Yeah,
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: I'm mad at him too. Right now, Tommy, I am
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: you've ever ever gotten a facial, I mean, like a
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: professional facial and stuff striple. It's a ministered by an instaticianstian.
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: So we're grateful that she's able to go all right. Yeah,
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: well but you know I'm a beautiful girl too. But
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: you know, she said was a blessing in the sky.
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: Maybe she realized that, you know what I'm saying. Yeah,
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: I mean, God got a way of getting your attention. Now,
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: all you gotta do is listen. He fired shots over
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: our head all the time. The first funess he fired
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: shot over your head. Then if he don't get your
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: attention with that, the next shot he fired, he'd take
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: a little bit of meat off your ear. And then
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: if you don't listen to that, the next shot is
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: in your teeth, and then that's wrong. Oh oh, but see,
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: but he never unjustly allows you to fall. He gives you.
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: You get several warners before the big drop come in
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: your life. And I think that's what I Oh my goodness,
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: he's done it to me. He's warned me, and I
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: didn't listen. Then then when he fired that wolf in
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: the teeth, I got it. Congratulations to the young sister. Yeah,
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: Janet's guy is her name? Coming up at the top
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: of the hour. Today's office topic should you ask before
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: reclining your seat on a flight? We'll talk about after this.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: You're listening to This Day morning show. Late last week,
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: the internet caught fire with a debate starting video it
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: showed a man that was punching and shaking the seat
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: of a woman who dared to recline her seat during
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: a flight. Even more than the annoyance of the guy
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: disrupting her seat was the fact that the flight attendants
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: appeared to be siding with the guy by apologizing, giving
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: him a free drink, and warning the lady to stop
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: being disruptive. Even though this all went down on an
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: American Airlines flight, the CEO of Delta Ed Bastain or Bastion,
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: has weighed in on the issue. He says the airline
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: has been testing out flights with a reduced number of
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: reclining seats and seeing the results that came from that.
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: As for the proper protocol, Bastian says, a passenger has
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: every right to recline, but should ask the person sitting
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: behind them if it's okay. First, I've never had that happened.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: Why I gotta ask him if it's okay? If that's
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: my seat right? Sat right? Do you know how many
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: times we've flown with people's heads in our laps basically
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: from from being in from yeah, from reclining crazy, Hey, man,
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: lean your seat back, but I'll tell you what you're
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: not fitting to do? You're not fitting kick and shake
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: my chair to hole. Oh absolutely no, absolutely yeah. Let
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: me ask you, is there any video of this? I
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: think there is video? Yeah. What was the color of
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: the people involved? They were all white? Still silence, What's
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: what's happening your process? Now you know that seats were blue?
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: Did you need to know that the airline was American
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: American Airlines when with green money? Exactly? Ask what I think?
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: Uh huh, well no, would let me ask you this though,
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: because the promise you this escalates. But you know how
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: when you said that very last role, now you know
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: those seats don't recline back at all, that you got
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: somebody in that role that puts their seat. I think
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: that I think they should ask because I think I
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: think that I agree with you that back roll. I've
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: been on that back row before, in the middle. It's tough.
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: And now what you can't do is lean into me.
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: I ain't got no where to go, and I'm back
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: here in this damn bad food and whatever's in there
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: come out with the people. So you cannot lean into
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: me from me. So they need to restrict the movement
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: of those last two roles. Yeah, yeah, the rod can't
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: lean back. The person in front of them can't lean
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: back into them because that's no where to go. It's
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: no I think that is. But I don't know if
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: you should ask a person can you lean back? Because
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: you don't know how these people suppose they say no
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: nothing yea. But you know what though, really man, uh,
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: these airlines are making so much money, you know, I
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: mean they're making money. I just think that they have
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: the extra economy role should be just for every role.
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: You know, that that extra leg space role that you
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: can pay for. Yeah, what they call it extra something? Uh,
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: extra leg rome or economy plus whatever. Yeah, yeah, the
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: economy plus I be throughout their plane. To tell you
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: the truth, you know, yeah, they don't care. They just
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: want They don't care about nothing. If you can, if
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: you can oversee all these tickets that then you got seats.
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: You shouldn't be allowed to do that. That's the biggest thing.
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: You got two hundred seats and you can sell two
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: fifty and that's cool. Get out of here, man. If
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: the airlines because people no show in the airplane, but
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: that don't matter. If you go if me and you
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: go to the basketball game. They're not gonna sell that
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: extra seat just because me and you ain't making That's
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: why they do it, because what they shouldn't have a
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: right to, can't shift flights. Oh yeah, now you guessing
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: on who ain't gonna come? All right? Uh? And if
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: you can hear me when I recline my seat, if
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: you got you hit the back of hit the back
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: of time to see and see if they're gonna bring
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: this thing on down. We're gonna be. It's gonna be
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: a special landing part of the Sea Harvey Morning Show
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: coming up and some trending news at thirty three minutes
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: after the hour right after this you're listening show. Well,
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: we all know the internet is a wonderful place. It
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: allows you to find items that you absolutely do not
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: need but absolutely want. Uh. For instance, like a dog
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: collar that will spit out curse words every time your
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: dog barks. You may not you may not need that,
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: but it might be a want on your list. A

- 1:16:42Speaker 1: tricky situation. And one woman is now wondering whether or
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: not she should tell her best friend the scandalous thing
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: she just discovered about her husband. Now, Steve, this woman
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: is from New York City. She sent us this story
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: from the internet, and she is asking for a friend.
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: Ha ha ha quote quote, you know those air quotes.
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: She's asking for a friend who might be in a
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: similar situation. A woman was recently at a prenatal doctor's
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: appointment when she saw her best friend's husband there with
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: a very pregnant woman. She notes, uh, by their actions,
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: they were definitely a couple Okay, She adds, I was
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: shocked when I saw him, and I regret not speaking
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: to him now, and wonders whether she should tell her
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: best friend what she saw now. I know, I already
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: know what you're gonna say. But what do you think
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: this woman should do? Or have you ever caught a
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: friend's spouse in a compromising situation? But here's see, here's
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: what this is. Probably yeah, this is all lucy is.
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: He took his cousin to the doctor cause she needed
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: a ride. Oh oh she is his cousin. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: did you hear the part when I said by their
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: actions they were definitely a couple. You can hold your
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: cousin's hand and pat it and be supportive, you know,
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: and listen to your cousin. You got it, you know
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: he kicking? Oh, let me here and put your head
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: on the stomach. That's probably was right there. You. Oh,
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: he can just go on, just kill himself right now.
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: So different options he got. You got easy, got to
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: sell this cousin story, or you got to go on
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: to start killing yourself just right. Scrape up some money
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: and give it to this best friends so she can't
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: be quiet. Oh, hush money. The hush money. Okay, you
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: get hup my fifty thousand in her hand real quick.
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: I'm I'm talking about don't ever say nothing ever ever, Yeah,
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: for the rest of her life? Quiet church mouse? Oh man,
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: So should she tell her friend though? No, your friend
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: for what? Because the woman was pregnant? You saw her
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: husband at the doctor's office with another woman? Yeah, well,
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: you know, I'm not my business. You're gonna tell a
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: cap FaceTime after doctor's office? Yeah, girl, god, it's not
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: my business. As soon as I see you on your phone,
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: I'm snatching your damn phone running out of because you
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: aren't being called. Nobody not write nine you. Now, if
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: I see caller at a doctor's office, I just pull
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: a gun out and robbed the play Coming up, our
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: last break of the day and some closing remarks from
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: the one and only Steve Harvey at forty nine minutes
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: after the hour, right after this listening. All right, Steve,
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: here we are the last break of the day. It's
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: the last break up the day. Thank you. There you go.
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: It's been a good day. Good day, Um Tuesday, Yeah,
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: very good. Yeah. We had fun today. I hope you
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: did too. Thanks for joining us. As always, we appreciate
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: the business and Steve, you're up next closing remarks. Here
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: we go, Hey, you know what this is today? Uh?
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: I was working out last night and this prompted this
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: closing remark. Young guy that works with me says, uh,
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: and you know I'm not in the best of shape.
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: That's not what this is about. This is about me,
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: just my determination and discipline when I start something. And
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: he said, mister Harvey, really really disciplined. I can't believe
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: you're working out like that. And I said, well, I'm
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: trying to accomplish a goal. He said, but we were
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: talking early and you said you were tired. I said yeah,
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: but my trainer showed up, so once he shows up,
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: I gotta go. He said, well, mister Harvy, you could
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: have easily just sent him home. I mean you had
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: a full day. I said no, he was here. He said, well,
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: but you you're paying him. He gets paid whether you
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: work out or not. I said, yeah, but I just
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: I can't say I can't. He said, what do you
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: mean by that. I said, well, I don't know how
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: to say I can't. He said, you don't know how
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: to say you can't. I said, no, I don't. I
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: don't know how to quit. I don't. I don't. I
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: don't know how once I once somebody challenges me, I
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: don't know how to say I can't. He said really,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: I said, yeah, I've practice just that for a number
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: of years. He said, did you attribute that to your success?
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: And I said absolutely. And so when I said that,
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: I said, I was going to share something with you
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: all this morning about becoming successful. And it's real simple
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: what I got to say. And here it is. You
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: have got to find a way to never quit. Did
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: you hear me? It's really what it all is going
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: to come down to. Eventually, all of us must find
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: a way to never quit. You must find something that
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: will not allow you to give up. See, the only
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: way you'll reach any eventual goal that you have, and
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: that's any one of them, is you have to never quit.
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: You have got to find ain't the way Something in
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: you and for all of us is something different. But
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: you have got to find that thing that motivates you
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: to where you will not quit. I don't what what
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: is your motivation? What is the thing that you can
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: say to yourself that will keep you pushing? What is
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: the saying? What is the saying There are sayings out
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: there the victory isn't given to the swift, but to
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: him that didn't do it to the end. There are saying,
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: you know, winners never quit. You know, don't stop till
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: you drop. You know, the hustle is real, the grind,
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: the dream is absolutely free. To hustle it soul separately.
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: You got to find something, man, You got to find
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: the motivation of saying. Maybe you need a role model.
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: Maybe you need to find somebody that you look up
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: to that has accomplished something and you pattering yourself after them.
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: Maybe you got to find some quote somewhere. I don't
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: care what it is, that are riptures that motivate me.
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: You have got to find Psalms, the twenty third Psalms.
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: You've got to find things in your past. You've got
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: to find something that has happened. You've got to find
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: inspirational stories. Go online and listen to motivational speakers who
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: have found ways and ideas and philosophies and principles that
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: prevented them from quitting. You've got to adapt these things
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: because the only way you're ever going to be successful
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: at anything is you have got to find a way
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: to never quit. I'm sorry. It's the key to the
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: whole thing. If you quit, you'll never know. You have
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: got to find a way. You've got to find that
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: relatable person that somebody that says something somewhere online that
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: gave you the idea that hey, maybe I can do
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: it too. Somebody somewhere and said something and it's on YouTube,
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: it's on Facebook. Somebody has said something man about they
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: were thinking about stopping and quitting and something caused them
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: to go on. You need to find those people. Maybe
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: you got to find a hero, man. Everybody should have
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: somebody that they look up to in their life to
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: day admire, whether you knew him personally or not. Marla
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: Luther King, Mohammad A Lee, Michael Jordan, you know, Vernon B. Jordan,
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: Rosa Parks, Frederick Douglas. The list is endless of people
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: that you can come up with. There's heroes everywhere, in sports,
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: in life, in missionary work, in religion, in Bishop Jake's,
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: Bishop Alma, Bishop Getties. It's people out there, man, there's
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: heroes to people. Find you one. Maybe you need to
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: find a hater. Sometimes you got to find somebody that's
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: a hater that motivates you. My teacher told me you
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: were never gonna be nothing. I spent my whole life
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: trying to prove her wrong. Maybe you had to hate
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: it and laughed at you when you fell on your
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: face and looked like you wasn't gonna come back. I
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: get him all the time. It's over now, he lost this,
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: he lost that, looked like he gone now. Nine nine
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: nine nine. I use that sometime. Sometimes you just got
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: to have dreams so big that not accomplishing your dreams
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: is absolutely unacceptable. Sometimes it's got to be your imagination
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: of what you might become, have or hope to be
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: that drives you. But you got to find something that
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: will cause you not to quit. That's the only way
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: you will be successful. Those are my closing remarks. I
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: hope you got it. You can't quit. Got it. Have
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: a great weekend, Gone peace out for all Steve. Every
