- 2:17Speaker 1: to me. Wow. You know why I say it like that.
- 2:24Speaker 1: What makes it amazing is because it's been in spite
- 2:26Speaker 1: of myself. I mean you know what I mean by that.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I mean I mean that he's been good to me
- 2:35Speaker 1: in spite of all the craziness I've done, all the
- 2:39Speaker 1: foolishness I've gotten myself involved with, and not only got
- 2:43Speaker 1: but knowingly got myself involved with all of the stupid
- 2:49Speaker 1: decisions I've made. Put all that to the side, and
- 2:55Speaker 1: he's still been good to me. Bring it all and
- 2:58Speaker 1: put it on the plate, and he's still been good
- 3:00Speaker 1: to me. Man. That's amazing, man. And I'm sure there's
- 3:03Speaker 1: a lot of people that can say the exact same thing.
- 3:06Speaker 1: I mean, come on, man, I got you, ain't famous,
- 3:09Speaker 1: I got anybody, got no microphone in your face, I
- 3:12Speaker 1: got nobody, ain't got no spotlight on you. I got nobody,
- 3:14Speaker 1: ain't got no came in your face. I got nobody problem.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Ain't your body blogging about you. But let me tell
- 3:19Speaker 1: you so if you break it down and be real
- 3:21Speaker 1: about it, Oh, you haven't done something outside the box.
- 3:25Speaker 1: You haven't done something ladies included. You've done something out
- 3:28Speaker 1: the box. You woke up and went what did I
- 3:31Speaker 1: do that for? Oh, we've all done it. So with
- 3:36Speaker 1: all that's said and done, God still loves you, man,
- 3:40Speaker 1: God still loves you, Still wants you the best for you,
- 3:43Speaker 1: still considers you his child. And it's and it's willing
- 3:47Speaker 1: is willing man to show you your future. He is
- 3:50Speaker 1: willing to show you your life. He is willing to
- 3:54Speaker 1: let you take a peek at the blueprint. Man, that's
- 3:58Speaker 1: an amazing god right there, because I don't I know,
- 4:01Speaker 1: I couldn't do it. I couldn't do it. I'm glad
- 4:04Speaker 1: it's him, you know. Today Man, I want to encourage
- 4:06Speaker 1: brothers out there. And when I say brothers, I'm talking
- 4:09Speaker 1: to everybody that's of the male species. I don't care
- 4:12Speaker 1: about your color. I really really don't. I don't even
- 4:14Speaker 1: have time for that in my day a matter a
- 4:17Speaker 1: matter of fact. Sometimes when you get to discussing races,
- 4:19Speaker 1: I just get tired of it sometimes and I just wish,
- 4:22Speaker 1: you know, some some days I just want to wake up,
- 4:24Speaker 1: just do me. You know, I I got what what
- 4:28Speaker 1: what the skin tone is? I got that. But I
- 4:30Speaker 1: just want to wake up some days and just going
- 4:32Speaker 1: by my business and do me. I don't want to
- 4:34Speaker 1: have to deal with something. I get tired of talking
- 4:35Speaker 1: about the issues. Ain't gonna make them go away. But
- 4:37Speaker 1: sometimes I get tired. So the damn talking to brothers,
- 4:40Speaker 1: all the brothers of the male species. I'm talking about
- 4:43Speaker 1: men today. Man, If if if you ain't doing it all,
- 4:48Speaker 1: if you're feeling empty, man, start today completing your your
- 4:52Speaker 1: process and your journey. And you know what, I'm saying
- 4:55Speaker 1: by that, if there's a part of you just missing
- 4:58Speaker 1: as a man, and and now, man, i'm talking to
- 5:02Speaker 1: you so you know, some ladies listening, but you know
- 5:04Speaker 1: what I'm talking about. It's it's some part of you
- 5:07Speaker 1: that's missing as a man, if you ain't really been
- 5:11Speaker 1: in touch with your kids like you're supposed to now,
- 5:13Speaker 1: for whatever the reason is. And please no, I do
- 5:17Speaker 1: understand how sometimes women can use children as pawns. It
- 5:23Speaker 1: happens all the time. I've been through it. I've been
- 5:26Speaker 1: through it, man, I know what it feels like, man
- 5:29Speaker 1: to want to do something. But because you ain't got
- 5:32Speaker 1: this or you ain't doing this thing, I ain't gonna
- 5:34Speaker 1: let you have this. You gotta fight through, Fellas, you
- 5:38Speaker 1: got to fight through. You got to fulfill your end
- 5:43Speaker 1: of the deal. And I got how difficult they're making it.
- 5:47Speaker 1: I got how man, it's gonna come with some drama,
- 5:49Speaker 1: but you gotta fight through it, because man, we need
- 5:52Speaker 1: fathers to be fathers. That's really what we need. If
- 5:56Speaker 1: you're a man out there and you are a father
- 5:58Speaker 1: of a child, we need you to do your job.
- 6:02Speaker 1: We I'm talking about the our community, our situation, us
- 6:07Speaker 1: as a people, all of us. We need you to
- 6:11Speaker 1: be a father period. Hey man, I ain't coming down
- 6:16Speaker 1: on you. I'm just your boy. I'm your man. And
- 6:19Speaker 1: I've been in the same predicament, in the same hole myself.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Why I couldn't get to them, where they were used
- 6:26Speaker 1: as pawns, where they were told things about me that
- 6:29Speaker 1: wasn't even true. I've been through it. You can't see him,
- 6:34Speaker 1: you don't come on, okay, okay, I got all that.
- 6:35Speaker 1: You ain't sent this. You ain't okay, Hey got all that.
- 6:39Speaker 1: If if, if you can call them sometimes, tell them
- 6:43Speaker 1: you're thinking about them, Tell him you love them. If
- 6:47Speaker 1: you can get a letter to them, if you can
- 6:49Speaker 1: get a message to your children through one of your relatives,
- 6:53Speaker 1: start the process today. Be a father. It's your job now.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Because you ignoring him, are you acting like they ain't
- 7:02Speaker 1: over there, or you don't back him out of your
- 7:04Speaker 1: mind because the situation got too difficult. I got that,
- 7:08Speaker 1: I got that. But you got to step up and
- 7:11Speaker 1: be fatherless. You got to write a letter. You gotta
- 7:14Speaker 1: send the money. If she talking about If you don't
- 7:16Speaker 1: send all the money, you ain't gonna sen send what
- 7:18Speaker 1: you got. If she if taking it over there is
- 7:20Speaker 1: too much drama, send it through a relative, give it
- 7:23Speaker 1: to her mama, give it to her sister, ask her
- 7:25Speaker 1: to take it over there and do something for the baby.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Because okay, okay, you can't deal with the drama. I
- 7:30Speaker 1: got that, and I know it's much to pay when
- 7:33Speaker 1: you have to deal with that, because clearly I know
- 7:37Speaker 1: hell have no fury like a woman's going. Please know.
- 7:40Speaker 1: I know that. Please no, And that's a real statement.
- 7:43Speaker 1: That ain't no saying, Steve got That's that's the truth.
- 7:47Speaker 1: But do what you gotta do. Sometimes you have to apologize.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Sometimes an apology goes a long way to your children.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Just hey, look, because I've made this apology you before.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Hey man, look, I'm sorry. I wasn't there for you.
- 8:05Speaker 1: I was out grinding and hustling and I wasn't paying
- 8:08Speaker 1: attention to you and I should have been. And I apologize.
- 8:12Speaker 1: And I imagine, man, there's days where you was telling
- 8:14Speaker 1: people I was your father up at the school and
- 8:16Speaker 1: they wasn't believing you. I apologize for sending you through that.
- 8:20Speaker 1: But now, man, I tell you what. I made some
- 8:24Speaker 1: mistakes and I got it together. I want me and
- 8:26Speaker 1: you to move forward as father and son. I want
- 8:29Speaker 1: me and you to move forward as father and daughter.
- 8:32Speaker 1: I want to be in your life. I ain't got
- 8:34Speaker 1: a lot, but guess what, I know a lot, because
- 8:37Speaker 1: if you're a man and you're a father, please know
- 8:39Speaker 1: you know something that child don't know. You have information,
- 8:42Speaker 1: you have experience. That's all they need. Sometimes they have
- 8:46Speaker 1: somebody to talk to. That daughter yours just needs to
- 8:49Speaker 1: know from her daddy, how should a man treat me? Dad?
- 8:54Speaker 1: What should I look for in a man? See, they'll
- 8:57Speaker 1: take that information from you because they know it's come
- 9:00Speaker 1: from the right place. And then you know that your
- 9:03Speaker 1: son needs you because you know how difficult it is
- 9:06Speaker 1: if you're trying to be a man without your daddy.
- 9:09Speaker 1: You already know how funky that is right there. So
- 9:13Speaker 1: come on, man and met your mistakes and move forward.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Call your kids, write a letter, get a phone number
- 9:19Speaker 1: on them, send a text, drop a message, send a
- 9:23Speaker 1: note up to the school. Do something, man, Get your
- 9:26Speaker 1: thinking caps on, fellas, but stand up and be fathers. Man,
- 9:30Speaker 1: make the step to be fathers. Do you know that
- 9:35Speaker 1: if every man that was a father would just stand
- 9:38Speaker 1: up and be a father's that would be no need
- 9:41Speaker 1: for half the mentoring programs. We're trying to start out here,
- 9:44Speaker 1: but we have mentoring programs because there's such a lack
- 9:48Speaker 1: of fathers out there. But guess what, it really ain't
- 9:51Speaker 1: no lack of fathers out there because y'all have made
- 9:54Speaker 1: these babies and you got these kids, and it was
- 9:56Speaker 1: you and it's your seed. So it's your job. It
- 10:00Speaker 1: ain't my job. It ain't my job to raise your kids.
- 10:06Speaker 1: It's your job. Now, Fellas, like I say, I ain't
- 10:10Speaker 1: coming down on you, but I'm telling you the truth. Now,
- 10:14Speaker 1: why is it that I'm lying in this hill. You
- 10:17Speaker 1: made a baby, that's your baby, that's you'll see. They
- 10:21Speaker 1: look just like you. That's your job. If those of
- 10:26Speaker 1: us that are fathers would just be fathers, I could
- 10:31Speaker 1: shut the menory and camp down. Now. I will say
- 10:36Speaker 1: I apologize because I don't want you to think I'm
- 10:38Speaker 1: coming down on you. But I've been through this myself.
- 10:40Speaker 1: I ain't really coming down. I'm just reminding you this
- 10:43Speaker 1: is our job. These are our children, this is our responsibility.
- 10:48Speaker 1: We all men. There is no excuses. You you don't
- 10:52Speaker 1: get you don't get cut a brake on that one. Sorry,
- 10:55Speaker 1: you're listening to ladies and gentlemen, man, have your undivided
- 11:03Speaker 1: attention please, this is Listen to this to Steve Harvey
- 11:07Speaker 1: Morning Show. The following people I'm about to introduce to
- 11:10Speaker 1: you are the culprits. They are culprins. I'm just telling
- 11:16Speaker 1: you culpris. They are the reason for a lot of
- 11:19Speaker 1: this stuff that go wrong. All right. They are culpriss.
- 11:23Speaker 1: They are They are accessory. They harbor and obeyed or
- 11:30Speaker 1: bade whatever it is. I'd have been in court for
- 11:32Speaker 1: all this. That's sad, ladies and gentlemen, surely strong. Hey,

- 11:43Speaker 1: it for real, me too? What's up crew? Happy Friday.

- 11:49Speaker 1: just gonna say, we miss you, Junior. Get your ass
- 11:52Speaker 1: back hill. It's time to go. People that Junior is
- 11:58Speaker 1: okay because they really think I got another text message
- 12:02Speaker 1: every day I get him in. Wouldn't they know it?
- 12:05Speaker 1: With with us? I don't know what they think. What
- 12:08Speaker 1: they may have missed it on what's going on? An update?
- 12:11Speaker 1: So that's fair for people to enquire about him. How
- 12:16Speaker 1: you doing, Steve Happit watch you out there now? If
- 12:19Speaker 1: there ever was a level of ignorance that you thought
- 12:22Speaker 1: was unattainable, You've seen it from him a few times.
- 12:31Speaker 1: He just proves you're right. Comm Do you know what, Man,
- 12:40Speaker 1: you're the worst leader of a fan club, and then
- 12:44Speaker 1: you two the most disloyal go out today. I'll turn
- 12:49Speaker 1: on you about later. Yeah, you're right. Well, I ain't
- 13:03Speaker 1: got a lot of Yeah, I ain't got a lot
- 13:08Speaker 1: of faith. You don't about the game that's tonight. Games.
- 13:13Speaker 1: I don't know if y'all saw the other night, but
- 13:14Speaker 1: I was on I saw you, man, Yeah, I had
- 13:17Speaker 1: on the Colors. I'm like, yeah, I had the playing ready.
- 13:25Speaker 1: I had predicted that the Calves would take the next
- 13:28Speaker 1: two at home. None of that went right out there
- 13:33Speaker 1: and play in all? Jay, I saw what he said.
- 13:39Speaker 1: But Jay, not right now, not right now. None of
- 13:42Speaker 1: that went right, Not right now. JA. So let me
- 13:46Speaker 1: ask you this, has any team ever in the history
- 13:49Speaker 1: of the Finals come back after think? Well, not three
- 13:56Speaker 1: zero three one? The Cols did that, but not three
- 14:00Speaker 1: zero and not against this this team. Well, you asked
- 14:04Speaker 1: for a sweep, but you meant for the Calves to
- 14:07Speaker 1: do the sweeping. No, I didn't know. No, I know
- 14:11Speaker 1: you're not sweeping golden good Damn who you are? They
- 14:15Speaker 1: just got too much. But somebody asked me, is it over?
- 14:19Speaker 1: I said, it ain't over to the fat lady sing, Well,
- 14:22Speaker 1: if fat lady is in the hallway drinking tea, it's over.
- 14:27Speaker 1: You're really standing at you, Mike. Yeah, all right, listen,
- 14:32Speaker 1: We'll continue with sports talk with something funny. I'm sure
- 14:36Speaker 1: you guys have something to add. We'll be back at
- 14:39Speaker 1: thirty two after the hour. Right after this, you're listening
- 14:42Speaker 1: to Steve Morning Show. Well, we talked about it. The
- 14:46Speaker 1: Warriors defeated the Cavaliers one ten, one oh two in
- 14:50Speaker 1: Game three of the NBA Finals on Wednesday night at
- 14:53Speaker 1: Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. Step to take a commanding
- 14:58Speaker 1: three point oh serious should have got a loan. You
- 15:00Speaker 1: should have got alone. And tonight is game four. Did
- 15:05Speaker 1: you see when Lebron James compared the Warriors to the
- 15:07Speaker 1: NBA powerhouse, Uh, to the New England Patriots who routinely
- 15:12Speaker 1: dominate the NFL thanks to their discipline and attention to detail. So, Steve,
- 15:17Speaker 1: you were on a couple of nights ago with Stephen A.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Smith on First Take Right, So, Let's take a listen.
- 15:25Speaker 1: The native of Cleveland, the host of the nationally syndicated
- 15:29Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show, one of the stars with the
- 15:32Speaker 1: Kings of Comedy, and of course, the host of Family Feud,
- 15:36Speaker 1: the one and Onlie. Steve Harvey is alive with yours truly.
- 15:39Speaker 1: What's going on, Steve? How you doing man? How you
- 15:42Speaker 1: feeling man? I'm doing all right. I'm smiling because you're
- 15:46Speaker 1: here with me, and I deeply appreciate it. I'm wondering
- 15:49Speaker 1: why you're smiling so much because your cabs are down
- 15:52Speaker 1: old too. In these NBA finals, How are you feeling
- 15:56Speaker 1: about them? We had a chance to steal one with Mr.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Great opportunity, but we cleave. So here's what's gonna happen.
- 16:02Speaker 1: We're gonna go back to Golden State, Golden State, go
- 16:05Speaker 1: get us out there. Then we're gonna come back to
- 16:08Speaker 1: Cleveland and we're gonna get him in Cleveland, and then
- 16:12Speaker 1: we're gonna go back out the Golden State and we're
- 16:14Speaker 1: gonna unleash the cracking that is Lebron James. Steve Harvey,
- 16:18Speaker 1: what did you have to give some advice to, Let's say, hey,
- 16:21Speaker 1: j R. Smith prior to that in light of the
- 16:24Speaker 1: blunder that took place in Game one, how did you
- 16:26Speaker 1: feel when you watched it? What type of advice would
- 16:28Speaker 1: you give it? Right now, I said the wrong name
- 16:30Speaker 1: at the mission universe page, and it happens. You understand,
- 16:34Speaker 1: people make big mistake. JR. Gotta suck it up. What JR.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Need to do is ride down to A hundred and
- 16:40Speaker 1: twelve and Sapphire while I grew up at spend some
- 16:43Speaker 1: time on that block, get some guts and come on
- 16:46Speaker 1: back and let's play this game. And let's go. We
- 16:48Speaker 1: need some help with Lebron now I'm hurt. We hit
- 16:59Speaker 1: it just It's just look, Lebron ain't got enough. It
- 17:02Speaker 1: ain't got enough. Not for this team here. Golden State
- 17:05Speaker 1: got everything. If you look, if, if, if, if Steph
- 17:09Speaker 1: Curry doesn't have a good game, they can still win.
- 17:13Speaker 1: If Clay Thompson doesn't have a good game, they can
- 17:16Speaker 1: still win. If the Rent wouldn't have a good game,
- 17:19Speaker 1: they could still win. We don't have none of it.
- 17:22Speaker 1: If Kevin Love don't have a good game, we can't win.
- 17:26Speaker 1: If JR don't have a good game, which I don't
- 17:28Speaker 1: even know, if he can have a damn good game.
- 17:30Speaker 1: No more. We can't win if the if the role
- 17:33Speaker 1: players don't have good games, we can't win. And you
- 17:36Speaker 1: already know if Lebron don't have a good game, Lebron
- 17:39Speaker 1: cannot not have a good game. He cannot not be there. No,
- 17:44Speaker 1: but are you hopeful, Steve? No, hell no, ain't hopeful. Well,
- 17:50Speaker 1: well let me take that back. There's always hope. That's
- 17:54Speaker 1: what I'm never a hopeless person. You know, it could
- 17:58Speaker 1: be the first time it happened. They can't beat this
- 18:01Speaker 1: team though, the way we were structured, we don't have anybody. Yeah,
- 18:05Speaker 1: we can depend on other than Lebron. Nobody is dependable.
- 18:09Speaker 1: You know what I think. I think you should really
- 18:12Speaker 1: just going on and call this out and get ready
- 18:15Speaker 1: for your next bots just some of your other sports.
- 18:17Speaker 1: You know, bad meeting, you know the football star right
- 18:20Speaker 1: in there that you're talking about, you are You're talking

- 18:39Speaker 1: Didn't lose less. I put some camp over Nick on
- 18:43Speaker 1: my feelings. Yeah, I'm good, I'm heal. You're not he No,
- 18:47Speaker 1: you're man. You and your little other ignorant food. You're
- 18:50Speaker 1: talking to your wrong man with this here. Now, y'all
- 18:53Speaker 1: ain't heal y'all, Steve Man, remind you we are all
- 18:56Speaker 1: on the same team. Just may I throw that out
- 18:58Speaker 1: there on the same tea. We are all on the
- 19:02Speaker 1: same time. Morning were not. The Morning Show is a
- 19:07Speaker 1: championship a fractured tea. Your ass is Ja Schmell jun
- 19:23Speaker 1: I put that ball right back? Janthy is he Tristan

- 20:02Speaker 1: talking about? Dog se a dog? All the hood were
- 20:05Speaker 1: watching watching Man. I had to give him nothing but
- 20:07Speaker 1: the hope. I'm a Cleveland boy boy. But at the
- 20:11Speaker 1: end of it, y'all ain't see what I did. What
- 20:13Speaker 1: I reached over on my table and picked up Miami
- 20:17Speaker 1: and the calf. Don't win one. I got six of these.
- 20:22Speaker 1: You're just gonna group it out together. You've won something.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Do you think that Lebron is out? Do you think
- 20:30Speaker 1: this is it? Oh? Yeah, it's coming to l A,
- 20:33Speaker 1: I'm not coming to l A man. L A say,
- 20:38Speaker 1: I bet you five? Hunt coming to l A stick
- 20:42Speaker 1: you bet five? Yeah, yeah, he got some old a

- 21:31Speaker 1: I'm sure this conversation will continue all morning, but coming
- 21:35Speaker 1: up next, it's the Nephew and run that frank back.
- 21:38Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up
- 21:42Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, and entertainment news. The
- 21:44Speaker 1: Kardashians will be on Celebrity Family Few this Sunday night.
- 21:49Speaker 1: But right now it is time for the King of
- 21:51Speaker 1: Pranks to run that prank back corporal punishment. Time to
- 21:55Speaker 1: start whooping that at all these kids and Cleveland too.
- 21:59Speaker 1: Let's we got all right, We're gonna start with j. I.
- 22:05Speaker 1: Go whoop that Ji, because you don't know how to
- 22:08Speaker 1: take a ball back up and do it? Lay up
- 22:10Speaker 1: you two love. You can't hear the three to say
- 22:12Speaker 1: your corporal punishmen on the court. Here we go. Man
- 22:23Speaker 1: talking about the at the house, I don't say already
- 22:30Speaker 1: like I got knocked out the first fride here, y'all
- 22:33Speaker 1: go house already? You know you know your folk fishing? Hello?
- 22:42Speaker 1: Hello him um trying to reach the Mr Cotton, MS.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Can you turn your radio or TV down? I can't
- 22:48Speaker 1: really hear you. UM. My name is Mr Lanson. I'm
- 22:52Speaker 1: actually the new principal here at middle school. Your your son,
- 22:57Speaker 1: he attends middle school here? Am I correct? Okay? Good listen, Um.
- 23:02Speaker 1: I'm the new principle here. We've just replaced the last
- 23:05Speaker 1: principle and I'm actually calling around. What I've done is
- 23:08Speaker 1: when I before I got here, I asked for a
- 23:11Speaker 1: list of students that were you know, I'm not gonna
- 23:14Speaker 1: say problem with kids, but you know that kind of
- 23:17Speaker 1: get themselves in a little trouble here and there. And
- 23:19Speaker 1: your son's name happens to be on the list. Yes,
- 23:23Speaker 1: I got about I got about thirty five kids that
- 23:26Speaker 1: are actually on this list, and your son is actually
- 23:30Speaker 1: on the list and you are Mr Cotton? Correct, I
- 23:34Speaker 1: am Mr Cotton. I mean are we are you show
- 23:36Speaker 1: you speaking about my son though, um yeah, I mean
- 23:39Speaker 1: there's only there's only one on the list, sir. I'm
- 23:42Speaker 1: it's it's it's what's been given to me. And what
- 23:45Speaker 1: what I'm doing is calling around to all of the
- 23:46Speaker 1: parents of the kids that are on this list and
- 23:50Speaker 1: letting you guys know that I'm gonna be keeping a
- 23:52Speaker 1: close eye on them as well as uh, letting you
- 23:55Speaker 1: know that I'm gonna be reinstating corporal punishment here in
- 23:58Speaker 1: the school. So so understand what was that. That's actually
- 24:02Speaker 1: where if your son gets sent to the office, which
- 24:04Speaker 1: is my office, then there will be paddling going on.
- 24:07Speaker 1: And opposed to I don't believe in I don't believe
- 24:10Speaker 1: in detention. I don't believe in suspension. I believe in
- 24:13Speaker 1: you know, if we spank these kids, we can get
- 24:15Speaker 1: them back in order. So, sir, here's my thing. I
- 24:20Speaker 1: really truly believe that we get back to to you know,
- 24:23Speaker 1: and I don't mean what I'm about to say to
- 24:25Speaker 1: be harsh, but if we're getting back to beating, we'll
- 24:27Speaker 1: get these kids back in order. I mean, but I
- 24:30Speaker 1: I know he had trouble in English, but I don't
- 24:32Speaker 1: think that. No, no, no, this has nothing to do
- 24:37Speaker 1: with great, sir. This has to do with punishment. And
- 24:40Speaker 1: what I'm understanding is if your son is on my list,
- 24:42Speaker 1: and if your son comes down to my office, I'm
- 24:45Speaker 1: going to take care of it right then, and then
- 24:47Speaker 1: if my son come your offer, you're gonna be on
- 24:50Speaker 1: It's sir, I'm trying to get these kids back in order,
- 24:53Speaker 1: and that's the reason why I've been brought in and
- 24:55Speaker 1: I've replaced the last principle you understand. So what I
- 24:58Speaker 1: need from you was to get a get a great
- 25:00Speaker 1: understanding that if your child comes to my office, corporal
- 25:03Speaker 1: punishment will be what he's going to deal with. Okay,
- 25:06Speaker 1: I'll tell you what. Let my son come home and
- 25:09Speaker 1: tell me he got some damn corporal punishment, and the
- 25:11Speaker 1: next morning me and You're gonna do some corporal punishment. Sir,
- 25:14Speaker 1: Do you want your child in order or do you
- 25:16Speaker 1: want to be bill in his butt out of jail
- 25:17Speaker 1: at the age of Eight's gonna be bailing me out
- 25:19Speaker 1: of jail if you put your damn hands on my son. Okay,
- 25:23Speaker 1: are you taking care of your son, punishment wise at home.
- 25:26Speaker 1: You need to my son. Don't get no damn trouble. Okay,
- 25:31Speaker 1: here's the problem. Parents not believing that their children get
- 25:36Speaker 1: in any trouble. That's the first brother, I got email,
- 25:39Speaker 1: I got phone called. So the first phone call, I
- 25:42Speaker 1: get this going straight. It ain't no let us at home,
- 25:45Speaker 1: ain't no email s at home saying day it's a problem.
- 25:47Speaker 1: I don't, I don't. I don't, sir, I'll you know,
- 25:50Speaker 1: I'm gonna come down here. I'm gonna tell you once again,
- 25:54Speaker 1: I am not going to have send your son to detention.
- 25:57Speaker 1: I'm not gonna call you. I'm gonna take care of
- 26:00Speaker 1: my job. My job is to make I'm gonna take
- 26:02Speaker 1: care of mine when you take care of your, I'm
- 26:04Speaker 1: gonna take care of mine. And that protect my son
- 26:07Speaker 1: and you put your hands on him, and we got
- 26:09Speaker 1: a problem. We're gonna have a problem because nine times
- 26:12Speaker 1: I'm telling you right now I'm calling you and giving
- 26:14Speaker 1: you the warning, your son will be dealt with and
- 26:16Speaker 1: you're gonna be dead with. We'll be dealt with on
- 26:19Speaker 1: a regular basis if needs to be, You're gonna get
- 26:21Speaker 1: deal with on a regular but you're gonna get tired
- 26:23Speaker 1: of seeing me. Okay, sir, do I need to actually
- 26:26Speaker 1: have corporal punishment with you? I'll tell you what when
- 26:28Speaker 1: you when you bring the corporal punishment to me, you
- 26:31Speaker 1: better had the police there because they're gonna need corporal punishment.
- 26:34Speaker 1: They're gonna need whatever hell they're gonna need to you.
- 26:37Speaker 1: When I get down and you put your hands with
- 26:39Speaker 1: my son, I know that all. I'm you know what, sir,
- 26:41Speaker 1: Maybe maybe maybe the swooping needs to start with you.
- 26:45Speaker 1: It has a matter of fact. What time do you
- 26:47Speaker 1: go to lunch? We can do this in front of
- 26:50Speaker 1: capital and let all the kids see the damn principle.
- 26:53Speaker 1: Get your damn corporal punishment, sir, sir. I'm not. I'm not.
- 26:57Speaker 1: I don't. I don't fear you personally want you to
- 27:00Speaker 1: stand in and take your like man. I don't want
- 27:03Speaker 1: to chase your aun like no little school sir, Sir sir.
- 27:06Speaker 1: The bottom line is corporal punishment is being in stated.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Your son is gonna by by. You're gonna have to
- 27:12Speaker 1: accept it, or maybe maybe you need to tell you
- 27:14Speaker 1: what you said. You got thirty five names on your list,
- 27:15Speaker 1: it better be thirty cut name but not being on
- 27:18Speaker 1: the corporal punishment list. I know that, sir. Listen, He's
- 27:22Speaker 1: not on a corporal punishment list. He's on a list
- 27:25Speaker 1: of kids of kids that act up from time to time.
- 27:27Speaker 1: My damn son don't act up. My son is a
- 27:30Speaker 1: model stude. He got a little trouble with English, you know,
- 27:33Speaker 1: because his mom a little slow. But that's my I
- 27:36Speaker 1: did that. You know what I'm saying. You know what,
- 27:38Speaker 1: Sometimes I feel like I'm talking to the child right now.
- 27:41Speaker 1: You're talking to a grown man. And if you put
- 27:43Speaker 1: your hands on my son, you're gonna see that I'm
- 27:45Speaker 1: a grown man. When I come down, man, I put
- 27:48Speaker 1: my hands on my bam son, then I guess it's
- 27:50Speaker 1: gonna be a lot of kicking circuit. It's gonna be
- 27:52Speaker 1: something kicking, and you line them up a system, principal principle.
- 27:56Speaker 1: I kicked the cat lady, So I come down. Man.
- 27:59Speaker 1: If you got something to say, you're gonna watch your tone.
- 28:02Speaker 1: You understand me, and you're gonna you're gonna take what
- 28:04Speaker 1: I'm telling you. I don't care what you're saying. Everybody's
- 28:09Speaker 1: gonna bide. I put chains on the door. I make
- 28:11Speaker 1: sure I'm Mr. Lanson and these kids are gonna bide
- 28:19Speaker 1: by what I want, and so are the parents, And
- 28:22Speaker 1: damn it you, Mr Cotton, You're gonna have to toughen
- 28:24Speaker 1: up and let me do my damn job. I'll tell
- 28:27Speaker 1: you what. Then you're gonna do what you got to
- 28:28Speaker 1: do today. But when I get down there, better head
- 28:31Speaker 1: of police. When I get there, I tell you who
- 28:33Speaker 1: else I'm gonna have here. If you do that, I'm
- 28:36Speaker 1: gonna have nephew timming from the Steve Harvey Mornings Show,

- 30:48Speaker 1: woman's centers. What it was, Shirley. It was for drug trafficking,
- 30:53Speaker 1: uh and possession and she was part, she said, of
- 30:57Speaker 1: a conspiracy the first. It was her first defense. She
- 31:01Speaker 1: has a lot of time for the first a lot

- 32:58Speaker 1: was pretty good. And I'm so not wrong. But I
- 33:07Speaker 1: really thought he was gonna say something. I always know,

- 46:46Speaker 1: I mean years ago y'all passed. It was about five
- 46:49Speaker 1: years ago. Okay, listen, I'm over here at the funeral home. Uh,
- 46:54Speaker 1: my sister just passed away, and they gave me your
- 46:58Speaker 1: phone number. Were went through a little bit of a
- 47:00Speaker 1: situation here, did you guys? Aren't you know your aunt
- 47:04Speaker 1: was a heavy set woman? Is that right? Okay? Now
- 47:09Speaker 1: they had to did they have to put her in
- 47:11Speaker 1: a in a Did they have a bill of a
- 47:13Speaker 1: special casket for her? Yeah? Okay, that's what we're kind
- 47:17Speaker 1: of going through with my sister. We ordered a special
- 47:21Speaker 1: casket for for for my sister, and uh, I'm assuming
- 47:25Speaker 1: this is the same thing that you guys went through.
- 47:27Speaker 1: I've called several of her her children, but I wasn't
- 47:31Speaker 1: able to get in touch with anybody. But the funeral
- 47:33Speaker 1: home actually had your name on file as well, so
- 47:36Speaker 1: they gave me your number where I would be able
- 47:38Speaker 1: to talk to you. Is that is that? Okay? Yeah,
- 47:41Speaker 1: that's okay. You can speak to me, but you know,
- 47:43Speaker 1: lets things to be a problem. Well listen, uh we
- 47:47Speaker 1: we The funeral is actually in two days and we
- 47:51Speaker 1: ordered one of those special caskets, but it doesn't look
- 47:54Speaker 1: like it's gonna be in for another week, so you know,
- 47:58Speaker 1: it's almost like we're gonna, we're gonna we're not gonna
- 48:00Speaker 1: have a casket for her um, you know, for the funeral.
- 48:05Speaker 1: And you know that, like I said, the funeral home
- 48:07Speaker 1: told us about you know that you guys were the
- 48:09Speaker 1: last ones that ordered a casket of that size, and
- 48:12Speaker 1: you know, me and the rest of the family has
- 48:15Speaker 1: been you know, we're trying to figure out what to
- 48:16Speaker 1: do and what to do. Do you think it's any
- 48:19Speaker 1: way possible we can borrow the casket that your Ain't
- 48:25Speaker 1: is in and then when the casket comes in and
- 48:28Speaker 1: we ordered, we can put her in that casket and
- 48:32Speaker 1: put her back down to rest like she's always been.
- 48:35Speaker 1: Do you think that's? Excuse me? Hello, Hello, you think
- 48:41Speaker 1: could you repeat yourself? What exactly are you asking me? Well,
- 48:45Speaker 1: what I'm saying is, do you think we can borrow
- 48:47Speaker 1: your ain't casket? Because you know, the funerals in two
- 48:51Speaker 1: days and the casket is not gonna be in in
- 48:54Speaker 1: order for us to be able to bury her in
- 48:56Speaker 1: a in a casket for you know, to accommodate her size.
- 49:00Speaker 1: When I'm asked what kind of this you're talking about?
- 49:04Speaker 1: First of all, who is this. Okay, No, my name
- 49:06Speaker 1: is Larry. Like I said, my name is Larry. I
- 49:08Speaker 1: got you, I got you guys. Like I said, I
- 49:10Speaker 1: tried to call some of her kids, but nobody ever
- 49:13Speaker 1: picked up when I called her nieces number all file
- 49:19Speaker 1: to you. You are her knees Vicky, right, Yes, I am. Okay,
- 49:23Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. Do you think that maybe you
- 49:26Speaker 1: can talk to the children and see if we can
- 49:28Speaker 1: maybe used that particular casket? Okay, wait a minute, what
- 49:32Speaker 1: the talking about this? The first of all, who who
- 49:36Speaker 1: is this? You? You gotta be losing your mind if
- 49:38Speaker 1: you think I'm gonna let you dig up my any
- 49:41Speaker 1: so just to bury yourself stuff. But I understand what
- 49:44Speaker 1: you're coming from. But what I'm trying to say is
- 49:46Speaker 1: that we don't have a cask. It's big enough. And
- 49:49Speaker 1: they were they they let us know that you guys
- 49:51Speaker 1: were the last ones that had a casket that you
- 49:54Speaker 1: know you're gonna do with us dash You don't truck
- 49:57Speaker 1: stuff out, have you not? No? No? Well, okay, first
- 50:01Speaker 1: of all, what I'm trying to do is this The
- 50:03Speaker 1: family been grieving pretty hard, and I just wanted to
- 50:06Speaker 1: make sure that the funeral will be right, and it
- 50:08Speaker 1: ain't gonna be right, and we don't have that. We
- 50:11Speaker 1: don't bring my family gonna feel dig in my amy
- 50:13Speaker 1: and I'll show they don't call me because who is
- 50:17Speaker 1: the the funeral home that gave you my number to
- 50:21Speaker 1: ask me to use the casket so you can bury
- 50:24Speaker 1: your sister. Who is the name of that person? I
- 50:26Speaker 1: can't remember, but it was it was. It was the
- 50:28Speaker 1: guy the funeral director let me know that you guys
- 50:31Speaker 1: had went through a situation where you have to bury
- 50:34Speaker 1: your your your your aunt. Like I said, I to
- 50:36Speaker 1: call what's your name again? My name is Larry, Okay, Larry,
- 50:41Speaker 1: this is this is I don't know what give you
- 50:44Speaker 1: my phone number to call me asking you just done?
- 50:47Speaker 1: Can you believe they called her asking me so they
- 50:52Speaker 1: can bury they don't have a casset. Hello, No, no,
- 50:57Speaker 1: what fault? No, I understand it's not your fault. What
- 51:02Speaker 1: I'm trying to say is what y'all show some sympathy
- 51:05Speaker 1: and some love for me and my family going through
- 51:08Speaker 1: because we don't have a cask. Like I say, my sister,
- 51:10Speaker 1: my souster wasn't was you know? Was that if the
- 51:12Speaker 1: heaven was a heavenshe time good. You know, my condulecens
- 51:16Speaker 1: go out to you and your family. You know I'm
- 51:18Speaker 1: trying to be as reserved as I can with this
- 51:21Speaker 1: whole situation. But do you understand what kind of stupid
- 51:25Speaker 1: you're asking me right now to actually dig up my
- 51:27Speaker 1: un whose arms who's been a world for fun yees?
- 51:31Speaker 1: Because bury your sister couldn't let me let me answer this?
- 51:36Speaker 1: Oh like this, if we you you ain't ain't gonna know.
- 51:41Speaker 1: She don't know who you for you to say to me,
- 51:46Speaker 1: that's what I don't stupid, you're smoking on smoking crack
- 51:52Speaker 1: what I don't know? First of all, you know what
- 51:56Speaker 1: I First, I appreciate you trying to work with me,
- 51:59Speaker 1: but I want to say this. You don't even have
- 52:01Speaker 1: the authority to make that decision if you give me
- 52:03Speaker 1: one of the numbers to one of your cousins. Because
- 52:07Speaker 1: I was really trying to be nice and be calm.
- 52:10Speaker 1: But guess what, we're not doing this stupid. I'm trying
- 52:13Speaker 1: to be nice to you and tell and trying to
- 52:15Speaker 1: help you out, but no, you want me to get
- 52:17Speaker 1: ignorant and ask stupid with you. I was trying to
- 52:19Speaker 1: be nice and sympathetic but we're not doing it. I'm
- 52:22Speaker 1: not giving you the nother I got the authority to
- 52:25Speaker 1: tell you right now. We're not digging up, so you
- 52:29Speaker 1: can bury yourselufstuff. Okay, so so so so so that's
- 52:33Speaker 1: just it. I can't talk to now that now you
- 52:36Speaker 1: weren't talking to but you're talking to me. Okay, I got,

- 55:18Speaker 1: Strawberry letter, Thank you enough you subjects closer than close
- 55:22Speaker 1: best friends. Dear Stephen Shirley, I have a male best
- 55:26Speaker 1: friend that I want to be more than friends with.
- 55:28Speaker 1: I was taught that the man is supposed to pursue
- 55:31Speaker 1: the woman, so I've never attempted to tell him how
- 55:35Speaker 1: I feel about him. We have been friends for ten years,
- 55:39Speaker 1: and although we have strictly have a strictly platonic relationship,
- 55:42Speaker 1: our friends and family make jokes about us already being
- 55:46Speaker 1: a couple. My mom even refers to him as her
- 55:49Speaker 1: son in law. He lives four hundred miles away, but
- 55:52Speaker 1: we see each other several times a month. He always
- 55:55Speaker 1: pays for my fly hotel rooms, meals, whenever I go
- 55:59Speaker 1: to visit him. When he comes to see me, he
- 56:01Speaker 1: spends time with my mom, and he makes plans for
- 56:04Speaker 1: us to see movies, concerts, plays, et cetera. I have
- 56:07Speaker 1: even been on his family vacation. I know that our
- 56:10Speaker 1: friendship is not normal, and we do everything a couple
- 56:13Speaker 1: does except for have sex. He has never shown any
- 56:16Speaker 1: interest in dating me, but it's so obvious that he
- 56:19Speaker 1: likes me. Every time he gets a new girlfriend, he
- 56:22Speaker 1: shares everything with me about their relationship. He even had
- 56:26Speaker 1: a child a few years ago, and I was there
- 56:28Speaker 1: for him when things didn't work out with him and
- 56:30Speaker 1: the child's mom. He's perfect for me, and I can't
- 56:34Speaker 1: imagine my future with any other man but him, with
- 56:37Speaker 1: any man but him. I want to let him know
- 56:39Speaker 1: how I feel, but the thought of rejection terrifies me.
- 56:43Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley, what do you think can a man be
- 56:45Speaker 1: close friends with a woman and not have any feelings
- 56:48Speaker 1: for her? This is driving me crazy. I want him
- 56:52Speaker 1: and only him. Should I tell him? Well? Yeah, I
- 56:56Speaker 1: think you should tell him. I really do. I don't
- 56:58Speaker 1: think you have anything to lose. I think you have
- 57:00Speaker 1: everything to gain. I think you should definitely take a risk. Uh. Plus,
- 57:06Speaker 1: I think he likes you to like you said in
- 57:08Speaker 1: the letter, because he spends so much of his time
- 57:11Speaker 1: and his money with you. Okay, those things are important,
- 57:14Speaker 1: so he does that a lot with you, And that's
- 57:17Speaker 1: what makes me thinks he likes you. Not just you,
- 57:20Speaker 1: but he spends time with your family and you spend
- 57:22Speaker 1: time with his family. I mean ten years. Come on,
- 57:25Speaker 1: that's a long time. I mean there should be nothing
- 57:27Speaker 1: that you can't share with this man, especially your feelings.
- 57:32Speaker 1: After all, you've certainly been there for him, I mean
- 57:34Speaker 1: with his girlfriends and his son and all of that.
- 57:38Speaker 1: I really think, I really hope that your friendships can
- 57:42Speaker 1: and will withstand it if you guys do decide to
- 57:45Speaker 1: take this uh to the love level. You know, but
- 57:48Speaker 1: you you gotta tell him first. Somebody has to break
- 57:51Speaker 1: the ice. Even if you you you try it and
- 57:53Speaker 1: it fails. I think I hope that you guys can
- 57:57Speaker 1: can be friends and come through it. People all ways
- 58:00Speaker 1: say that you should be friends first, and you guys
- 58:02Speaker 1: are definitely that, and you've been friends for ten years.
- 58:05Speaker 1: That should mean something. Steve, that's goodnute, it's cute. Come
- 58:12Speaker 1: on so much? Got scared to leave out of this
- 58:15Speaker 1: damn letter. That's why we have You know I'm here
- 58:18Speaker 1: for it. You know this woman right here is in
- 58:21Speaker 1: a dilemma. Ten years flying in the town, live four
- 58:26Speaker 1: hundred miles away, pay for all your tickets to come
- 58:29Speaker 1: see him, y'all, go on family vacations, y'all sitting up
- 58:33Speaker 1: here doing everything as a couple. Are you flying in
- 58:37Speaker 1: see each other several times a month? He paid for
- 58:40Speaker 1: your flight, hotel room meals whenever you go to visit.
- 58:44Speaker 1: Then he comes, see you, spend time with your mama,
- 58:48Speaker 1: makes playing for y'all, gonna see movies, concerts, plays, all
- 58:53Speaker 1: this's right here? Okay, what's the here wrong there? Well,
- 58:56Speaker 1: let's go get to it. Something is wrong because he's
- 59:01Speaker 1: doing all this, and didn't you tell her how you've
- 59:03Speaker 1: been there for him? And he he had other girlfriends,
- 59:06Speaker 1: He tell you all about him, and he had a
- 59:09Speaker 1: son a couple of years ago, and you was there
- 59:10Speaker 1: for him when he didn't work out, to the mom
- 59:12Speaker 1: and the baby, the boys sleeping with somebody. It ain't you.
- 59:19Speaker 1: Why has he not made a move on you? And
- 59:24Speaker 1: why you want him so bad? And he's so perfect
- 59:26Speaker 1: for you, but he can't see that easy. It could
- 59:30Speaker 1: be one of two things only with the man. Number one,
- 59:35Speaker 1: he is afraid that if he makes a move to
- 59:40Speaker 1: you that it will destroy the friendship. And he's just
- 59:43Speaker 1: hanging around because there's something stupid about him where he
- 59:47Speaker 1: has not figured out that you have a physical and
- 59:50Speaker 1: a mental, spiritual attraction to him. That's the first option.
- 59:56Speaker 1: That's the one that you hope it is. Now. That's
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: second reason he ain't saying nothing. It cause he ain't
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: attracted to you. Now is gonna be a definite blow
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: to your ego. So now what you gotta do is
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: he's told you about all his other girlfriends. Look him
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: up on Facebook and get a picture of them. Now,
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: if you ain't in the same arena, ask them girlfriends,
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: you have your answer. He's not attracted to you. That's
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: going to be hard. Now. Chances are I don't think
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: that's the case because we don't spend money, n we
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: do not spend time with people. We are not attracted.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: We just dudes, man, And I'm sorry, but we are
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: just dudes. So I'm hoping it's the first one. That
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: he's afraid that he would lose your friendship before he's
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: had the courage and the nerve to make the move.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: Is something about you that's so special that he don't
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: want to say nothing. I let a girl get by
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: with me for years like that. Her name was Michelle
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: Pierce h all through high school, even through college. My god, man,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: because you didn't say anything. I just wouldn't say. We'll
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: have part two of Steve's coming up after the hour
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: Strawberry Letters, subject today closer than close best friends. Right
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to Steve Harvey Show. All right, Steve,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: come on, let's get to it. Part two of your
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: response to today's Strawberry letter, Closer than close best Friends
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: is the subject. Yeah here, this woman been friends with
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: this man for ten years. They've done everything together. Vacations,
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: flying four hundred miles away, he taking a place, concerts,
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: going take a mama out. They do everything together. Even
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: if Amy didn't joked about him, y'all in a couple
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: that he didn't have a relationship with other women. Tell
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: you all about him. Y'all ain't never talked about this.
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: I find this so difficult to believe. You mean, y'all
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: ain't said I mean, but this ain't hell Your hand
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: in the moving nothing man, what's up, y'all? Just friends?
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: Men don't do this. But he had a baby with
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: another girl a couple of years that obviously broke your heart.
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: That didn't working out. Now you're going, well, what about me?
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: What about me? Where? What about you? Like I said,
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: it's only two things could be stopping this. He is
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: so afraid of losing your friendship that he's hanging on
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: the outskirts thinking you don't really see him that way,
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: and he's just hoping you come around one day. Men
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: can do that because men don't spend money on women
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: that we're not attracted to. We just don't do that.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: I don't that's funny. I know, it's just funny. I'm
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: just telling you in a crude way of putting I
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: just want you to understand what it is now. The
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: other thing is he's not attractive to you, and that
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: would be the most devastated reason because nothing you can
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: do can make him attracted to you after two years.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: But I seriously doubt that that's the case because he
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: keeps flying to you. Man, you mean something to this dude,
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: And I got news for you. He loves you. I
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: have news for you. Ain't no dude doing nothing for
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: no woman for ten years. He don't love him. He
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: might be onto something, sir, I got it. He loves
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: you and he wants to be in love with you,
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: but he don't want to lose the love parts, so
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: he's scared of mentioning in love part. It's time to
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: walk past his ass naked, what drastic? Come on, you
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: gotta do something and you're sitting, Yeah, put some heels
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: on it right in front of that damn TV. And
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: that's like you're doing something else. A cup of coffee
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: in your hand, some eyeglasses and like you read, and
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: just walk your way right across that TV straight nicket
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: that we find to find out right after that, because
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: I would if his comment is this right here did
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: when you got pluck baby? Baby? You forgot to put
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: your clothes on? Problem? But if you walk past, then
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: you go and you don't hear nothing, But then you
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: look back and he's staying at it. Yeah, then you
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: walk over there and set your neck as right next
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: to him and act like y'all friends and keep watching
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: that game and see how long that damn games and
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: basket would. Yeah, naked is when you just take your
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: clothes but she bought and walk around in front the
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: side to see you naked. Two but as you walk
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: in there so they can see with them. Yeah, not
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: just naked, but it's two different things. And quick coming
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: to bed barefoot all the time, some damn heels on
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: and up to antie. Yeah, yeah, come in there bad foot.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: You know you look better with you with you up
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: on your toes. Lift that up, I'm with you. St
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: put that in the air. Hoisted the look better in
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: the air. You ain't. You'll find something real quick. He's
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: got to let him know you agree with that for sure.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: She needs to do something. They need to break the ice.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: You're talking about ninety day rude, They didn't win ten years. Yeah,
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: and he spent a lot of time and money with her. Okay,
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: he has never shown any interest in dating me. Who
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: That's what she says in the letter. He has never
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: shown any interest in dating me. But it's so obvious
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: that he likes. If it's so obvious, let's yeah, then
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: take the risks. Look, you got litmus tests, you got
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: pregnancy tests, you got they got cancer tests out there.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: You can take an HIV test, you can take a
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: diabetes test. You gotta take the butt ass naked. I
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: got to take the test. It's a test. Everybody got
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: tests for everything. It's so obviously, but we gotta way
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: to find out. But you know you thank you obviously pregnant,
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: but we gotta way to find out you thank you
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: obviously sick. We gotta way to find out. Man, you
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: ain't got to do that. I'm killing up. I I'm
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: trying to tell you one more time. It's the difference
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: between ned is when you come out the show. Neck
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: it is when you're taking a bath. Neck it is
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: when you change and clothes for me, get dressing. You
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: just nick it. But when you walk out in front
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: of somebody for them to see you come over here,
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: that not become. But that's what we're talking about this morning.
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: And a couple of suggestions. The next time you naked
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: and you really want to get it, put a necklace on.
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: What is that gonna do? That's girl, So he did
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: you just ask me what that's gonna do? Ye fellows, fellaws,
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: she come to bed niked with just a necklace. Songkay
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: back up on them, alight said. We gotta go, thank you, Steve.
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: We gotta go email us or instag We don't have
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: any time, Jake, we gotta go email us or Instagram.
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: What's your thoughts to my girls? Shirley? Okay, thank you
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: so very much. I appreciate you guys for journing me
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: yesterday for the Strawberry Letter Live after Show. All right,
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: and we'll be there again next Thursday. Thank you. Coming
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: up in ten minutes, Steve's Health and Wellness segment featuring
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: your very own, beautiful daughter, Brandy. It's a family affair.
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: Brandy's up next. You're listening to Steve Harvey morning. We're
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: back and continuing with my Health and Wellness segment. This week,
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: I have a very very special guest. This one right here,
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: it's very special. This is what turned me into a man.
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: This one here grew me up faster than anything that's
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: ever happened in my life. This is my firstborn child.
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: Our special guest is a family member, and I mean
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: for real, this is my oldest child, first born. She
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: reminds her sister of it all the time. Uh. My daughter,
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: Brandy has always been about health and wellness. She started
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: a fitness journey back when she was nineteen, when she
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: was a little just I think I said something to
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: him one time. They threw him into something I didn't
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: know no better. Back then, I was a younger father,
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: and uh, I said they was fluffy? Man? Did it right? Yeah?
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: That turned into something right there and threw her in
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: their path of wellness and fitness. She's a fitness instructor.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: She's competed in bodybuilding challenges. She now lives a plant
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: based lifestyle, has a health and fitness initiative called Beyond Her,
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: and she's joining us today to tell about it. Please
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: welcome to the show, ladies and gentlemen. The one and
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: only the reason I'm here, Ladies and gentlemen, Brandy Harvey
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: money that that's the best intro I've ever got. Dad.
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: Don't nobody bring nobody out like your daddy. Girl. Better
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: notice right here you're the host of our host. I mean,
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: come on now, I just got the best intro in
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: all of radio. But I'm so glad to be here
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: this morning. And you you set it up perfectly when
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: you said that, you know, you started me on my
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: fitness journey at nineteen I was. I came to visit
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: you spring break from Hampton University and you told Carl
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: and I that we were fluffy, and I spent the
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: whole spring break trying to figure out what this fluffy mean?
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: Do you think that means bad? Like? What what what
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: this fluty mean? And then finally click like, oh, oh,
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: I probably need to, you know, lose some weight. And
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: I don't want people to like call in or like
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: put on the blog Steve Harvey fat shames his daughter
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: because you totally did not. I think what you did
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: in nineteen you really woke up the sleeping giant that
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: was within me to get my health and wellness and
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: make it a priority in my life. And I think
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: that we all need somebody in our lives at some
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: point to push the giant, wake the giant within us
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: to say you, I hope you want better for yourself
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: because I see better for you, and you saw better
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: for me. And that led me on a path to
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: being a fitness instructor, a group fitness trainer, you know,
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: a personal trainer. UM. I competed in UM n PC
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: and it really just sparked this this fire in me
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: to not only get myself on this on this path
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: of health and wellness, but to make sure I taught
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: other people how to do it too, because in my heart,
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: I'm just a teacher. You know, I was a high
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: school teacher at one point as well too, And so
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: my whole life has been about how do I change
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: my life? But how do I change other people's lives
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: as well? And that's really how Beyond Her was born.
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: Out of all those different stages and now living a
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: plant based lifestyle and understanding the whole mind, body, soul
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: connection that it wasn't just me working out, and it
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: wasn't just me eating good food. It was about what
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: I was putting in my mind, in my spirits, how
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: I was taking care of my emotional and mental health
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: as well. Okay, so I got this way of site
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: called beyond her dot dot co c O not dot com, y'all,
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: do not do that. It's a new way they do it. Not.
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: It's called beyond her dot co CEO. You don't have
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: to put the em on it. You're ruined it beyond
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: her dot co. This is a website so women can
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: take the time to get to know themselves better and
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: get the lives. Tell us about this this and you
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: have an e book also, But tell us about the
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: site and the e book. Well, the site is really
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: about our Our motto is, you know, eat well, give
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: a damn move your body. And it's really we put
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: content out on the site that is how to eat,
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: how to move and live and be well as a
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: woman of color. That we provide content not just on
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: fitness and health, but on self care. And you know,
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: I have other contributors to the site as well. We
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: are a content based site. We're not a blog. You
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: can't do comments on our site. We produced um content
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: of strong articles that you can use as references, as
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: well as provide recipes and my sister Carly, um my point.
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: Sister Carly provides all the plant based recipes for the site.
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: Her food is just beautifully done and so um. That
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: really sparked. I do a newsletter every Tuesday that comes
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: out for my subscribers, and people can subscribe on the
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: website as well. But that launched me into writing this
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: e book, which is a four week program on how
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: to really go beyond that. It's about setting intentions for
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: your life. It's about making room for God's abundance to
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: come through. It's also about mastering your emotions because we
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: carry so much weight with us. That isn't really about
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: the physical way, it's the emotional and mental weight that
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: we're carrying them around with us. That makes us heavier
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: and laying down with with all the all the drama
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: and trauma, and they'll really just do it. And so
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: this four week program has recipes, has um journal plants,
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: has a gratitude log. It also has a plant based
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: recipe guide and and grocery guide. Um, this is really
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: a jump start. This is not a fact. Okay, listen
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: to me. Yeah, why is it that you recommend a
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: plant based diet. I recommend a plant based diet because
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: what goes in is what comes out. But we're living beings.
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: I just choose to put living food into my living body. Oh,
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: plants are living food. Oh you you're not talking about
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: like stuff that have lived like a cow, so they
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: not living. No, I don't eat anything that had parents.
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: I don't eat that. Okay, your daddy been doing plant
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: based This is day five. I'm so proud of you.
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: I'm so proud of you. Meat stuff tooth are good
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: when you want to start this journey of not eating
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: you know, actual meat. But the more you get into
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: this lifestyle of plant based you will understand that you
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: really don't need those fake meat products because it's so processed.
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: They really have to take these plants through such a
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: process to get them to mimic that type of flavor
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: and that type of food. But if you're eating whole food,
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: you don't need that. You won't miss it. But I
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: think it's good when you're first starting out, you know,
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: you want something that makes you feel like you're eating meat.
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: But we'll be back with more coming apart two of
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: Steve's health and wellness segment with his daughter, fitness expert
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: Brandy Harvey. That's coming up at the top of the hour.
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, we're
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: back my special guest. Our special guest is Brandy Harvey,
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: who happens to be my oldest child. She threw me
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: in the manhood an accelerated Pacey. I'm not here trying
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: to fin why they still Steve that now. Yeah, we
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: know he man, But the good news is that you
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: stepped up, you did your thing. You're a good father.
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: Yeah you're you're a good dad. But we got to
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: ask you about this, Brandy. You're also doing coaching classes
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: on beyond her dot co your first group class. Let's
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: talk about that. My first my book UM. You can
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: purchase the e book on beyond her dot co as
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: well as my coaching classes. UM. The group webinar classes
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: begin June the fourteenth, and my master class, which is
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: a very intimate course. That class is not gonna be
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: any more than ten women. That's gonna be a very
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: intimate course. And once you get on the website you'll
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: see why. UM. But it's the intimate look. But the
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: book is for somebody who's really looking to get started.
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: The group classes is for that next level, any intermediate,
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: and then the master classes for somebody who's really ready
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: to go beyond to the next level and transform their life.
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: M Yeah, I mean I'm I mean you are what
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: he meant to say. He is the master class. You
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: definitely are the master class. That you are the master
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: classes here brand, and I've been trying to turn it'll
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: just take you. You are. You definitely are. I've learned
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: so much from you. I think your work ethic, I
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: think everything about hard working person, dance and determination is
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: everything that you've given me. I think you you've told
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: me along the way, but taught me in your actions
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: of how you really go out here and make a
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: life of your own. And I think that, um, this
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: journey has has taught me so much. But you have
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: just been such a wonderful teacher and guy, you really

- 1:18:53Speaker 1: I'm talking about that. You got you got to ukn't

- 1:19:02Speaker 1: all his meeting him and everything, I'm coming in. I'm

- 1:19:17Speaker 1: But I think people don't understand how as much as
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: crazy as he is, he's such as softy. His heart
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: is so big, it's so bad, and he really just
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: wants to change people lives. And I think that that's
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: what I've really latched onto and learned from my dad
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: is that, um, we've all been in the business of
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: changing people's lives, and at every stage of it is
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: really to impact people and to teach people a better
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: way to live their lives. And that's what we all
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: try to do each and every day. Yeah, I mean,
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: that's what it's about. Because you can't. God blesses you

- 1:22:41Speaker 1: Coming up at twenty minutes after the hour, Tiger Woods, guys,
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: Tiger Woods is bawling out of control. That's what we
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: want to say about that. We'll be back with more
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show at twenty minutes after.
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Tiger Woods,
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: as we all know, has not one the US Open
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: in nearly a decade, but he's been playing well enough
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: this year to give many of his fans some hope
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: that he can pull it off when the tournament gets
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: underway next Yeah. I do too. Someone may want to
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: open it all. Yeah, but this is Tiger and you know,
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: and that's what they come into sea. And it looks
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: like he'll be able to relax and style between rounds
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: in his twenty million dollar you heard me, twenty million dollar,
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: one hundred and fifty five ft yacht. Steve, Steve Harvey,
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: it's called privacy that he just docked in the Hamptons.
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: What the dock is, um? Just about an hour drive
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: away from Yeah, yeah, an hour drive from the from
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: the golf course. So Tiger can kick back at his
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: own place instead of messing around with at a hotel. So, Steve,
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: what does that look like? A hundred fifty five foot yacht.
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: A little more than twenty million. Well that's how much
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: um Tiger paid for it. It's called privacy. Well he
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: didn't buy it. No, it's a million dollars per meter
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: to build a yacht. Okay, sixty yacht is sixty million
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: dollar boat. Surprise, the operator yacht is ten percent of
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: the cost per year. Top sixty million dollar yacht. Six
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: million dollars a year to operate the yacht if it
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: doesn't move. What's the name of it again, privacy? Why
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: aren't you name a waffle? I like that, I like
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: that a lot. Privacy requires a crew of nine to
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: operate it. Its sleeps seventeen. It costs two million dollars
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: a year, like you were saying, Steve, to run it
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: has a theater in it, a gym and eight person
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: jacuzzi a large bar and it usually Harry's three c
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: sea dudes. What is that like? Sea dudes? A little
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: playthings like jet skied, okay, like a water motor sports
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: a jet ski okay, like okay, jet boat. Now freaks
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: would have yeah. Us so back to old Tiger. You're thinking,
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: what that's the old tiger? Yeah, oh, scatter smother and cover,
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: waffle house, huddling house, pancake house, cracker barrel, cracker bar
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: I'd have him in there, bore yeah, pack cracker barrel
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: to the mezzanine deck. Please. Well, Steve, you guys were
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: saying that if Tiger got back to his old ways,
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: maybe he could win more games. Because you don't even
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: get married right now, that ain't what he do. He
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: got two kids, got to get it out of system
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: because he never had it in his system. Gotta understand him.
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: Tiger been playing golf his whole life to get that good.
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: The majority of his days were spent on a golf course. Yeah,
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: like the Williams sisters in tennis. Yeah, you know. So
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: now that he he got older and then his moral
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: compass died his father, he went out there and he
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: started dabbling in experiencing what he had never experienced before
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: he started getting out of him. He was very famous,
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: very rich. He had never seen what he could do.
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: He went out there and experienced it. Well, now I
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: got married. He couldn't stay strong, he lost his moral compass.
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: His father passed. So now he went out there. Now
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: it's over, and now he bat blow that. Y'all do
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: you don't? All? Right? Coming up next, more of the
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this, you're listening Steve Show.
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: Alice Marie Johnson walked out of an Alabama prison Wednesday night,
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: just hours after receiving word that Kim Kardashian West had
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: convinced President Trump to commute her life sentence. Kim tell
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: us a little bit about this woman's sentence. What it was, Shirley.
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: It was for drug trafficking and possession, and she was part,
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: she said, of a conspiracy. It was her first offense.
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: She has a lot of time for the first a
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: lot of time. That's why they're working to change a
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: lot of these problems. She's been in twenty years. She
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: had been in for twenty yeah, she'd been in for
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: twenty yeah. Now she got a life sentence. Yeah, wow
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: that time. Yeah, for drug trafficking, money laundering, Steve. She
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: was on radio the other day, Steve talking about how
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: things have changed that technology and television and you know,
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: the phones were even you know, like cell phones going
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: out when she went in, she's and in for you know,
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: it was different. You gotta start over. Yeah. One of
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: the reporters had asked her about Kim Kardashian and the
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: president tweeting, and she didn't know what Twitter was, you know,
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: And he tweeted today about he's glad she was out
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: and he hoped she has a great life and all
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: of that shed You got to give him that, yes,
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: and Kim, oh, kimb diggity move man, I mean like
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: and now he can wasn't across the board in prison
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: performing doing doing that. That would be great, but they're
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: all doing. Uh. Some members of the press were there
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: and Johnson expressed her thanks and gratitude to the president
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: And in a few days she'll get to thank Kim
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: in person when the two meet face to face. This
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: is according to TMZ. Now Kim is arranging a trip
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: to visit Miss Johnson and her family in the coming days. Johnson,
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: to answer your question Steve was convicted in nineteen six
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: of drug trafficking and money laundering and was sentenced to
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: life in prison. Kardashian says there are other people in
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: prison that she hopes to free as well. You know what,
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: she would have ordered a taco from Taco two and
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: when she went in, they probably ready. But you know
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: what I'm saying, I'm just saying, if she ordered I
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: don't want to laugh. That was pretty good. But I
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: really thought he was gonna say something I always know,
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: but there's I'm the president, respect this tune. And she
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: could leave it through and got that taco would have
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: been ready. But can I just say this, those tacos
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: are so good when you do get them. They're so
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: good when you ever did you you ever get them
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: and forgot what you ordered? Yes, all the time, Steve.
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: All right, just a reminder, speaking of Kim Kardashian West,
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: this Sunday, you'll get to see all the Kardashians and
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: Kanye West family. Uh, they'll have some fun on the
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: season premiere of Celebrity Family Feud. It is hosted by
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: our very own fearless leader, Steve Harvey. Take a listen, guys.
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: Top five verses on the board. Here we go. We
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: asked one hundred women name the reason you think Steve
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: Harvey is a good kisser lips. I'm here to win,
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: brom here to win obvious. All right, So there you go.
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: Celebrity family Feud this Sunday on ABC at eight pm,
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: seven pm Central. Alright, Steve coming up closing remarks right
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: Here we are, Steve. Last break of the day, last
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: break of the week. It's been a great week, a
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: quick week too. Huh. As we get into your closing remarks,
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: we talked about millionaires and uh, how they live their
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: lives and they surround themselves with positivity and positive people.
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: And I think you definitely agreed with that in your
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: life and how you live your you know, it's it's
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: it's hard to do for us as people sometimes because
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: we suffered from guilt. But you've got to cultivate the garden,
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: you've got to prune the tree, you've got to extract
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: the bad energy around you. And sometimes sometimes this is
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: family and friends, and I'm sorry, but that's the way
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: it works. Just because they're your family member does not
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: mean they're good for you just because this person is
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: your so called friend. These so called friends are friends
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: when the sun is shining. These so called friends are
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: sometimes good in certain situations, they're not good for you
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: as a whole. You got to cultivate to God and
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: you've got to prune the tree. You've got it. You've
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: got it. Rid yourself of people who are not like minded.
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: And that's a big part of it. The like mindedness
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: helps you with surrounding yourself with the same attitude. Does
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: that help, Shirley? Absolutely? That helps. I mean, you know,
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: there's an old saying, birds of a feather flock together
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: all of that, you know, yeah, I mean, and and
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: this world you need that because there's so much hate
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: out there, you know, and people don't understand. And we
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: get stuck with our relatives sometimes, and we get stuck
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: with our so called friends because you're paying loyalty to
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: the term of friendship when actually the friendship it's supposed
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: to mean something. But how many times have you found
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: that your your friends do not honor the code of friendship?
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: How many? So now you've got to recognize that that
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: loyalty has an expiration date, and oftentimes it's the people
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: around you have stopped being loyal to you long before
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: you ever considered not being loyal to them. Yeah. And
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: I just want my friend Steve to be as happy
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: for me when good things happen. Is I am genuinely
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: for them when and if they're not in their life.
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: And if they're not, you need some new friends. And
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: it's okay because I have friends in my life that
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: were just for a season of time. Oh man, we
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: was cool back then when we was doing this that night.
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: But at this level right here, man, some of them
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: I can't exposed. And I still got some friends I
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: grew up with. Man, I can bring around me. We
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: can go places, we can chop it up. But I
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: got some friends, man, I had to let go with him.
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: Two wasn't they wasn't ready for this. Hell. Yeah. And
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: you know what you mentioned something earlier, Steve about guilt.
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: You know a lot of times that holds us back
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: because we feel guilty, you know, letting them go, and
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: guilty when we don't help them. You know what I'm saying,
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: because you can't help them on with the Other thing
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: that Steve says a lot is that sometimes we take
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: stuff off of our friends and families that we would
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: normally take from a stranger, and we just let it
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: go on and on and on, and you just have
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: to get in that mindset that it's time to go.
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: Is in the hood, there's a saying you gotta keep
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: it real. Yeah, you gotta keep it real. You man,
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: don't forget where you come from. You know all this
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: right here? Hey man, don't don't don't forget about us now,
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: you know now you thank you all that. No, no,
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: listen to me. You're supposed to keep it moving, but
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: you know what, I'm supposed to keep it moving. I'm
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: guilty of making my friends and family problem my problem.
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: You know we all are. We all do that. Everybody
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: does that. We take on way too much. And it's
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: not your responsibility. You are not responsible for another man
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: who is responsible for his family. That's not your job. Man.
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: You are in charge of your family, your wife and
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: your kids. That's your number one priority. Everybody else is
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: a distant, third and fourth a distant and me helping
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: you can't take away from my family and something they
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: gotta have. I can't deny my children access to great programming.
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: Trying to help your child to get out of jail.
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: No hold up now, who woa whoa whoa whoa whoa partner.
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: I can't help you make your house note. If it's
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: gonna cause my house note to be delinquent, it doesn't
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: make it. It doesn't make any sense. But people use
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: manipulation and guilt to hold you to a set of
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: things that's only been official to them. And it's amazing
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: how they how they change the narrative to get you
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: to feel guilty about what the decision that you made.
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: It's ridiculous, man, Stop allowing people to do that to you.
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: If you're constantly finding yourself having to explain yourself to
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: your friends, excuse them for something they said, always aiding them.
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: You need some new friends, and it's okay to get
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: some new friends. You just gotta stop being their friends.
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: Pull back. You ain't gotta you ain't gotta snatch your
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: head out the line's mouth. Sometimes you just gotta ease
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: it out slowly, stime. Let a couple of phone calls
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: come through that you don't return. Just try the message
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: starts getting there. Just don't answer a couple of texts
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: I got bettering for you, change your number and then
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: send it to just who you wanta have. Okay, man,
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: I'm telling you that takes care of that. We did
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: the closing remarks that way the day we did the
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: closing remarks, and like a question period kind of helps
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: me get some thoughts, thought starters. Maybe that to help somebody.
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: Pretty sure a lot of you out there dealing with
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: some of these same things. So keep your head up.
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: God loves you, don't forget talk to God. He love
