In Colossians 3, Paul shows us that a healthy church is not a perfect community, but a gracious community. Because God has first chosen, loved, forgiven, and shown grace to us, we are called to extend that same grace to others. Paul encourages believers to “clothe” themselves with mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, forgiveness, and above all, love. Grace does not mean ignoring sin or avoiding accountability; rather, it means responding to brokenness through the lens of Jesus.
