- 0:15Speaker 1: them things and it's not good. Steve listening to mother, Steve,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't joy. You gotta turn you got to turn
- 1:41Speaker 1: the turnout. Turn got to turn out, to turn the
- 1:47Speaker 1: water to the water to go. Come, come on your back,
- 2:02Speaker 1: h I show will a good morning everybody. You're listening
- 2:06Speaker 1: to the voice, come on dig me now one it
- 2:10Speaker 1: only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Okay. I want
- 2:17Speaker 1: to talk to you today about success. But I want
- 2:24Speaker 1: to talk to you about it like I usually do
- 2:27Speaker 1: in terms of a principle of it, but I want
- 2:30Speaker 1: to share something with you about it. And I was
- 2:34Speaker 1: talking to my daughter about it. I've talked about my
- 2:38Speaker 1: son in law about it, talking about it with all
- 2:40Speaker 1: my children, and I'm really starting to express it to
- 2:43Speaker 1: them now because I'm talking to a wide range of
- 2:46Speaker 1: people constantly. But I want to share something with you.
- 2:51Speaker 1: If you have any aspiration of being successful, I want
- 2:55Speaker 1: you to realize, starting right now, the effort that's going
- 3:00Speaker 1: to require. And that's why I think it stops a
- 3:03Speaker 1: lot of people. I think a lot of people are
- 3:06Speaker 1: never told or don't understand the sheer efforts that it
- 3:11Speaker 1: takes to become successful at anything in any area of
- 3:15Speaker 1: your life. If you think that doing your best is enough,
- 3:20Speaker 1: that I got news for you. It's not. Well, Steve,
- 3:25Speaker 1: What if you've done your best, though, and your best
- 3:28Speaker 1: ain't good enough? Well, let me ask you that same question.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Hold on. If you want to be successful and you've
- 3:35Speaker 1: done your best and best isn't good enough? What you through?
- 3:39Speaker 1: That's it? But Steve, it was my best? No no, no,
- 3:42Speaker 1: no no. It was the best you had at that time,
- 3:46Speaker 1: in that particular day. But tomorrow add something to it.
- 3:52Speaker 1: You've never done everything. There is no you can't go
- 3:56Speaker 1: no more, you can't add no more. I've seen marathon
- 4:00Speaker 1: runners end up crawling across the line. I've seen triath
- 4:04Speaker 1: line people man just staggering in the street and didn't
- 4:08Speaker 1: want nobody to help them because they knew that would
- 4:11Speaker 1: disqualify them from the race. You got more? Have you
- 4:16Speaker 1: ever dipped into your reserve tank? That's what we're talking
- 4:20Speaker 1: about now. See all of us have a reserve tank,
- 4:25Speaker 1: you know. I you know, on my ranch, I like
- 4:27Speaker 1: to ride four wheelers, I have all terrain vehicles, and
- 4:31Speaker 1: all of them have a gas tank on it and
- 4:34Speaker 1: a gas tank and most of mine, let me see
- 4:36Speaker 1: all of them. Yeah, all of them have gas tank
- 4:38Speaker 1: needles on them, and it lets me know when I
- 4:41Speaker 1: get down towards eat there's a little lane that's read
- 4:45Speaker 1: that lets me know. Okay, Steve, you're in the danger zone.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Now you're riding into the lowest part of your tank.
- 4:51Speaker 1: But if I keep riding and I forget to get
- 4:54Speaker 1: some gas in there, guess what when it runs out
- 4:57Speaker 1: of gas. All of my all to rain vehicles, all
- 5:01Speaker 1: of them, Honda Polaris, all of them. Those are the makers.
- 5:07Speaker 1: There's a button on the gas tank itself that I
- 5:10Speaker 1: can click and it says reserve. That means they know
- 5:16Speaker 1: that for the hardcore riders, they're gonna ride somewhere and
- 5:20Speaker 1: they're gonna get themselves in a situation and they're gonna
- 5:23Speaker 1: run out of everything. They're gonna run out of road,
- 5:26Speaker 1: they're gonna run out of gas. They've prepared because they
- 5:30Speaker 1: know for the hardcore rider, every hardcore rider needs a
- 5:34Speaker 1: reserve tank. And so there's a button that you can
- 5:37Speaker 1: click on the gas tank that clicks it into a
- 5:40Speaker 1: reserve and it will give you about fifty miles or
- 5:44Speaker 1: twenty miles worth of gas in that Now, guess what
- 5:48Speaker 1: in that reserve? That may be all you need to
- 5:52Speaker 1: get you the where you're going, or get you back
- 5:54Speaker 1: to safety so you can refuel. Don't tell me you've
- 5:58Speaker 1: done your best when you're best, don't cut it. What
- 6:01Speaker 1: you're gonna do. See when best is possible, then good
- 6:07Speaker 1: enough ain't enough. See that's good enough. But if the
- 6:11Speaker 1: best is possible, why would you not shoot for that?
- 6:13Speaker 1: And you you are all capable of making it. But
- 6:17Speaker 1: you've got to change your mind set and realize the
- 6:20Speaker 1: effort that has to be put forth in becoming successful.
- 6:25Speaker 1: You've got to do it relentlessly, over and over and
- 6:28Speaker 1: over and over and every day. I try to progress
- 6:33Speaker 1: of my life for the better. I try to do
- 6:36Speaker 1: something every day. I wake up every day with the plan.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Some phone calls, some meetings, some some some some interviews. Something. Man,
- 6:44Speaker 1: that's going to advance and move the brand forward. Because
- 6:48Speaker 1: here's what's gonna happen. You are Let's say you reach
- 6:51Speaker 1: your goal. Let's say your goal is to make one
- 6:55Speaker 1: hundred thousand dollars. Well, I got news for you. Listen
- 6:58Speaker 1: to this. When you make the one hundred thousand dollars,
- 7:02Speaker 1: you can't go on noway and go on vacation and
- 7:04Speaker 1: put your hand behind your head and say I made
- 7:07Speaker 1: a hundred thousand dollars. Guess what you got to do?
- 7:10Speaker 1: You got to find a way now to maintain that
- 7:13Speaker 1: one hundred thousand, to keep it coming in. See, you
- 7:17Speaker 1: can't just get there and stop and rest and whoa.
- 7:20Speaker 1: It is harder to maintain your success than it is
- 7:23Speaker 1: to get successful. See. Let's say, let me let me
- 7:27Speaker 1: show you that supposed it takes you five to eight
- 7:32Speaker 1: years to find a way to make fifty thousand dollars.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Let's say it takes you five to eight years to
- 7:40Speaker 1: find a way to make an extra fifty thousand dollars,
- 7:43Speaker 1: and you finally, through work and effort, you get to
- 7:46Speaker 1: the fifty thousand dollars. Are that's that's it's only just
- 7:51Speaker 1: begun now, because guess what, in order to keep the
- 7:54Speaker 1: fifty coming in, you got to duplicate what you did
- 7:59Speaker 1: to get there. And then, oh, here's what you're going
- 8:03Speaker 1: to have the audacity being a human being, You're gonna
- 8:06Speaker 1: want another fifty because you're a human being, because you
- 8:11Speaker 1: gotta have something else to shoot for. Now you're gonna
- 8:13Speaker 1: want another fifty. Well, now that guess what you gotta
- 8:16Speaker 1: do now, Now you gotta do what you did before,
- 8:18Speaker 1: plus you gotta come up with something else. Then after
- 8:22Speaker 1: that you're gonna have the audacity because you're humans, you're
- 8:25Speaker 1: gonna want another fifty. Says how this works? And see
- 8:31Speaker 1: that that's that that's the importance of your relationship with God,
- 8:35Speaker 1: because you're gonna constantly need it and ain't other point
- 8:38Speaker 1: where you're gonna be through needing it. But there ain't
- 8:41Speaker 1: gonna become a point in your life where you're gonna through.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Won't through, be through, won't nothing unless you don't just
- 8:45Speaker 1: gave up. And if you don't gave up, who wants that?
- 8:49Speaker 1: Come on, y'all, this is going to take quite a
- 8:52Speaker 1: bit of effort, and if you think it will come
- 8:55Speaker 1: to you any other way, you're sadly mistaken. Because of
- 8:59Speaker 1: all the success for people, I know, I know that
- 9:01Speaker 1: the effort they put out on a daily basis is daunting,
- 9:04Speaker 1: and I think that the average person just tells them
- 9:07Speaker 1: understand the requirement of time and effort that it takes
- 9:11Speaker 1: to get there, and willingness to put it out. You
- 9:14Speaker 1: gotta cut a lot of monkey business out your life.
- 9:18Speaker 1: All that hanging out, all that late and all that
- 9:21Speaker 1: club and all that drinking, all that. You gotta cut
- 9:23Speaker 1: a whole lot of monkey business out to be successful. Man,
- 9:28Speaker 1: if you're planning on being successful, get up early, stay
- 9:32Speaker 1: up late, work, try, think, meet, greet, smile, attract. It
- 9:39Speaker 1: takes a lot, let's go, but you can do it.
- 9:41Speaker 1: God is pressed passing out blessings all day long. Why
- 9:45Speaker 1: are you not in line for yours? I'm telling you
- 9:47Speaker 1: right now, I want everything God got for me because
- 9:50Speaker 1: what He's shown me so far. Who if he got
- 9:53Speaker 1: some more? Man on man, how good is God? Hunting show?
- 10:02Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls at all communities involved,
- 10:09Speaker 1: whoever you are, whatever you are, welcome to the Steve
- 10:13Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show because it's about you this morning, what
- 10:18Speaker 1: it is you want. But can I say this, though,
- 10:22Speaker 1: if you and I fully agree have the right to
- 10:25Speaker 1: want what you want, then please get that same grace
- 10:29Speaker 1: to everybody else to don't want what they don't want,
- 10:34Speaker 1: won't and don't want is in the same city. Let
- 10:39Speaker 1: the church say, hey man, Charley Strawberry Colin for Rell, Mississippi, Monica,
- 10:48Speaker 1: better known as the Mouth of the South, Junior government
- 10:54Speaker 1: name kill space. And this this fool here. You know
- 10:59Speaker 1: when he all zoom, we don't know where he had.
- 11:02Speaker 1: What he's doing here in a cave. He's playing. He
- 11:06Speaker 1: using light systems. It's just the may hear fat drops.
- 11:11Speaker 1: He put stuff on his face sometime. He just played
- 11:13Speaker 1: all the time. Lady, Jimmy nephew, I'm in a cave. Well, Junior,
- 11:20Speaker 1: go ahead and tell me what. I'm in a cave.
- 11:22Speaker 1: I'm meditating. I gotta figure I want to what I
- 11:24Speaker 1: want to do the rest of my life. So I'm
- 11:26Speaker 1: learning that from Aaron Rodgers, and I'm hey, rod I'm learning, Yeah,
- 11:30Speaker 1: what I want to do? What is that light? What
- 11:33Speaker 1: is that? Is that a candle? What do you do?
- 11:35Speaker 1: What is that? I'll tell you what if your daddy
- 11:39Speaker 1: saw you in that cave? Tell me what would happen? What?
- 11:42Speaker 1: Man think? We gotta go to work. I gotta go
- 11:48Speaker 1: to work, Yeah, black cave, do something after we get
- 11:57Speaker 1: all work. What you're gonna do? Yeah, he Ji, what's up? Big?
- 12:03Speaker 1: Don talk to me today? What you got, man? I'm
- 12:06Speaker 1: gonna tell you something unk you know, man, I'm figuring
- 12:09Speaker 1: this thing out. Man, figuring it out. You know, the
- 12:12Speaker 1: other day I did marriage thing. You know the other
- 12:14Speaker 1: day I told you that I started talking first. Okay, Now,
- 12:19Speaker 1: now my plan today is to be busy when she
- 12:22Speaker 1: come home. You got to be busy, be moving, be
- 12:26Speaker 1: doing something. Ain't got time to talk today. So when
- 12:29Speaker 1: she come home today, I was thinking, I just be
- 12:31Speaker 1: up under the sink for no reason. Don't know nothing
- 12:34Speaker 1: about plumbing, but I'm messing with this garbage disposed and
- 12:37Speaker 1: just moving my legs in and out that way. It
- 12:39Speaker 1: looks like I'm doing something. The next day, I'm coming
- 12:42Speaker 1: home with our filth just for no reason. I don't
- 12:45Speaker 1: even know where it goes. I'm gonna have it, though,
- 12:47Speaker 1: I saw. All I gotta do is just stay busy.
- 12:49Speaker 1: If I start, if I start unplugging TVs, that I
- 12:53Speaker 1: gotta be in the all day. Ain't got to really
- 12:55Speaker 1: talk that much. The key is busy. I see doing that.
- 13:00Speaker 1: What I thought. What if the attic stairs is down
- 13:03Speaker 1: for no reason, I'm going up and down. I'm busy.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Ain't nothing up there, but I'm busy though. That's all
- 13:09Speaker 1: I need. Boy, you don't even something you're just going
- 13:12Speaker 1: up there, don't even need no. But if you seen
- 13:14Speaker 1: me doing something, we ain't got time. I figured that now,
- 13:17Speaker 1: everybody not work. I try. You're finn to wear your
- 13:20Speaker 1: ass out. You're gonna have a crisis. That's here about
- 13:29Speaker 1: to have a crisis. He do all that, You're gonna
- 13:33Speaker 1: as attic. I'm coming up in thirty two minutes after
- 13:38Speaker 1: the hour, we're gonna hear from the nephew if he
- 13:40Speaker 1: runs that prank back right after that. You're listening, all right?
- 13:47Speaker 1: It is time now to start your morning off with
- 13:49Speaker 1: the nephew and run that prank back. What you got
- 13:51Speaker 1: for us, naff I want to take time this morning
- 13:54Speaker 1: and bring you this prank. As we turned to the
- 13:57Speaker 1: Book of Ignorant and verse five, it says they moved

- 20:42Speaker 1: Steve Harvey's Morning show. Player. Man, I'm gonnaee y'all every morning, man,
- 20:45Speaker 1: y'all every morning, right, thank you, thank you, nephew. Coming
- 20:55Speaker 1: up next, it is asked the clo with our chief
- 20:58Speaker 1: love officers. You're listening. Coming up at the top of
- 21:04Speaker 1: the hour. In entertainment news, Rick Ross is beefing with
- 21:09Speaker 1: his neighbors over his roaming buffalos. Your carols dog Bufalo
- 21:17Speaker 1: means well, we'll give you his response coming up. He's
- 21:22Speaker 1: finally spoken up about it, and plus a Jackson, Mississippi
- 21:26Speaker 1: TV news anchor got fired for saying faux shizzle my nizzle. Okay,
- 21:32Speaker 1: we'll talk about that. She said it live on the air,
- 21:36Speaker 1: you know it. Congratulations going out to It's not the
- 21:46Speaker 1: first time we'll talk about it. Also, congratulations going out
- 21:49Speaker 1: to Gladys Night. All Right, Gladys Night received the Medal
- 21:54Speaker 1: of Arts award from President Biden. We'll talk about all
- 21:57Speaker 1: of these stories at the top of the hour, but
- 21:59Speaker 1: right now it is time to ask the clo Latitia
- 22:04Speaker 1: in Greensborough writes, I'm in love with my cousin's ex husband.
- 22:09Speaker 1: She moved to Hawaii, but she gave us her blessing
- 22:11Speaker 1: before she left town. My family is still tripping over
- 22:15Speaker 1: the fact that he and I are together. Would I
- 22:17Speaker 1: be wrong to distance myself from my family? I'll do
- 22:22Speaker 1: it all the time right now. Yeah, h oh, what's
- 22:30Speaker 1: the problem. Don't stress out at all. Yeah, your cousin
- 22:34Speaker 1: gave you your blessing. You know you your man ain't related.
- 22:40Speaker 1: You know if she went to Hawaiian gave you y'all's blessing,
- 22:43Speaker 1: didn't go ahead, and your family tripping, they gonna trip.
- 22:47Speaker 1: They're not gonna see that you ain't supposed to, Well
- 22:51Speaker 1: you are. If you only knew how many you ain't
- 22:55Speaker 1: supposed to, they'd have done. You could really get on
- 23:01Speaker 1: with your life, y'all. Stop letting people hit you with you.
- 23:04Speaker 1: I can't believe you did that. Well, that's open up
- 23:07Speaker 1: your book of the pad. Let's open up your in
- 23:10Speaker 1: the words of Stevie Wonder, skeletons in your clouds. Yeah yeah, everybody?
- 23:18Speaker 1: So all right, it's like if you winning everybody's cloud
- 23:22Speaker 1: and you're going everybody cloud, you know what's in that cloud.
- 23:27Speaker 1: We're gonna get off of that one man, all right.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Moving on to Chalissa Chlissa and Delaware says, I'm five
- 23:34Speaker 1: to nine and dating a man that is shorter than
- 23:36Speaker 1: me when I wear heels. We've been together for a
- 23:39Speaker 1: couple of months and he said he can't wait for
- 23:41Speaker 1: sundress season so I can start wearing sandals and flip blops.
- 23:45Speaker 1: I never ever wear flat shoes because of my high arches.
- 23:49Speaker 1: How should I break the news to him? Well? Tell, well,
- 23:53Speaker 1: you know, hey, how you how would you how would
- 23:57Speaker 1: you handle this time? Why am I expert in? And
- 24:01Speaker 1: how the hell to handling? What? What? What? Why? Why
- 24:04Speaker 1: am I the one. Well, she fined that she puts
- 24:10Speaker 1: on calling I'm five ten and a half, so when
- 24:14Speaker 1: she putting ridge heels on, she six, and I'm confident
- 24:21Speaker 1: about myself. So it don't he's help to let yeahs
- 24:29Speaker 1: what you are the wesom house shoes helen quitting hurting
- 24:32Speaker 1: the boy feelings? Well, that's what he said. He can't
- 24:34Speaker 1: wait for summer time where you ask some sandals that, hey, man,
- 24:38Speaker 1: ain't nobody you listen to me later. Don't redirect your
- 24:42Speaker 1: fashion sense and your sense feeling fly for little man.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Little man, look, you know, you know he ain't even know,
- 24:52Speaker 1: he ain't an know's all right, he's inadequate. People have
- 25:01Speaker 1: felt that before. Haven't you felt that before? I have? Yeah, Okay,
- 25:09Speaker 1: I've learned so much today I know all right. So
- 25:13Speaker 1: that's your answer. Don't damn her light? All right? Uh?
- 25:18Speaker 1: Jocelyn and Duval County says my twenty two. My daughter
- 25:23Speaker 1: is twenty two years old and lives with a forty
- 25:25Speaker 1: six year old man. She doesn't work or drive, she's
- 25:30Speaker 1: so she's totally dependent on him. How do I convince
- 25:33Speaker 1: her to get her education, a driver's license, and her
- 25:36Speaker 1: independence while she's with this creek. How well, you ain't
- 25:39Speaker 1: gonna have to say nothing gonna in a minute. Whow boy,
- 25:44Speaker 1: what happened? That's where you went with you. I don't
- 25:47Speaker 1: even know why it came out, like everything everything through
- 25:53Speaker 1: the filter first not I don't want to retract it.
- 25:55Speaker 1: I'm just gonna refilter it. So I'm just gonna say
- 25:58Speaker 1: right live, right now. You know, I ain't mean say that,
- 26:00Speaker 1: but that was the first that ain't cropped up in
- 26:02Speaker 1: my mind, and I just didn't feelter it because you know,
- 26:05Speaker 1: like sometimes sometimes some of the information that I have
- 26:10Speaker 1: escapes the filter like it's overflowed. Like I was actually
- 26:14Speaker 1: texting while you was talking, and so then I wouldn't
- 26:18Speaker 1: pay No, my filter was already full because I was texting,
- 26:22Speaker 1: So when you asked the question, it wasn't no room
- 26:26Speaker 1: in the filter for that to the show. No. Well,
- 26:30Speaker 1: I mean, you know, it's really a good answer, it's true,
- 26:33Speaker 1: but I just didn't feelter the answer. So let's just
- 26:36Speaker 1: remind your daughter of this. Do you know you are
- 26:40Speaker 1: going to have to position yourself for life's challenges in
- 26:45Speaker 1: the event that something worth happened to your sugar daddy
- 26:50Speaker 1: slash benefactor or whatever. He is, and when that happens,
- 26:56Speaker 1: you're gonna have to be in place to take care
- 26:58Speaker 1: of yourself. And you shouldn't never stop bettering yourself just
- 27:03Speaker 1: because somebody giving you something. I would take all this
- 27:07Speaker 1: extra money he giving you. I'd be invested in the
- 27:10Speaker 1: e trade account. I'd be hading money, I'd be doing
- 27:13Speaker 1: everything because, like I said in the beginning, come on
- 27:19Speaker 1: in the case of his untimely untimely divides. Well, that's
- 27:27Speaker 1: good advice. And she's twenty two. Yeah, she's two. Don't
- 27:32Speaker 1: don't don't depend on this man. He could have a
- 27:34Speaker 1: change the heart. Yeah, yeah, absolutely what you're saying, I'm sorry,
- 27:43Speaker 1: go ahead, I say last one. Arnette in Toledo says,
- 27:47Speaker 1: I've been engaged for four years and I won't set
- 27:50Speaker 1: a date until my fiance cuts his hair. He's trying
- 27:54Speaker 1: to grow dreadlocks, and he didn't run it by me first.
- 27:58Speaker 1: I think it's a drastic change and we should have
- 28:01Speaker 1: discussed it. Is that too much to ask from my partner? Yeah, no,
- 28:06Speaker 1: it's not. No, it's time. I mean, you have the
- 28:10Speaker 1: right to want what you want to hit a person,
- 28:13Speaker 1: but he got the right to want what he won't
- 28:15Speaker 1: as a person won't you won't stole align then you
- 28:22Speaker 1: know he got a right to grow dreads. You know
- 28:25Speaker 1: whether you did. But you know now I'm gonna say
- 28:29Speaker 1: this too, that it's an age limit to this. You know, Look,
- 28:32Speaker 1: let these young people do what they do. Now. If
- 28:34Speaker 1: you've been having dreads for years and I got you, man,
- 28:38Speaker 1: but I've seen a lot of athletes wait to last
- 28:42Speaker 1: is in their thirties and start con rolling their hand,
- 28:46Speaker 1: twisting it. Listen to me, man, listen to me. If
- 28:51Speaker 1: you're forty years old and you hadn't already had dreads
- 28:56Speaker 1: prior to your ass, need a hair cut, sin to
- 29:01Speaker 1: be watching your old ass twist your hair. Scottie Piven,
- 29:04Speaker 1: who put twists in his hair if he don't get
- 29:07Speaker 1: his hair cut back. Well, scott had been busy every
- 29:10Speaker 1: night the whole time he was playing. He had time
- 29:12Speaker 1: to get twisted. He need a pass st he gets
- 29:16Speaker 1: a pass now. He's been putting me in full times
- 29:18Speaker 1: a night for so many years. Coming up to the
- 29:22Speaker 1: top of the hour entertainment news right after this, you're
- 29:27Speaker 1: listening stry morning show and drinking nears out of Jackson, Mississippi.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Listen to this story guys. According to The Neighborhood Talk,
- 29:37Speaker 1: Barbie Bassett, a news anchor for a WLBT, thought she
- 29:42Speaker 1: was being funny on air when the crew was discussing
- 29:45Speaker 1: Snoop Dogg's new wine collection. Her co worker joked about
- 29:49Speaker 1: one of their colleagues doing a collaboration with Snoop, and
- 29:52Speaker 1: Barbie agreed, take a listen, dog tattoo on his shoulder.
- 29:57Speaker 1: I'm telling you, Julie, what you think about that. She's
- 30:05Speaker 1: been saying that it flows? Did you see how that flows?
- 30:08Speaker 1: Been saying that all the time? Too easy? She couldn't
- 30:12Speaker 1: gone too Yeah. Oh yeah, I been waiting to do
- 30:16Speaker 1: it on air. Don't looking for the opportune practiced it? Yeah? Uh.
- 30:24Speaker 1: Social media user Steve and viewers demanded that Barbie be
- 30:28Speaker 1: terminated because this was not her first racist remark on
- 30:32Speaker 1: live TV. Now. Apparently, back in October, Barbie received backlash
- 30:37Speaker 1: for referring to a reporter's grandmother as grand mammy. What
- 30:43Speaker 1: this was racist tv? She listened no clan meetings. She's
- 30:50Speaker 1: making every clan, every win speci stew at the meeting time. Yeah. Yeah,
- 31:01Speaker 1: she got suspended. She apologized, but she kept her job
- 31:04Speaker 1: that time. Not this time. Barbie Bassett has been terminated.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Gie name Barbie, Yeahie, I went. I'm glad it got
- 31:23Speaker 1: rid of it now because the next thing she's gonna
- 31:25Speaker 1: say was this N word here wet now and everything
- 31:31Speaker 1: she's saying we yes, I'm working with and other entertainment news.
- 31:41Speaker 1: Rick Ross is breaking his silence finally when it comes
- 31:43Speaker 1: to the buffalo beef. Earlier this week, we learned about
- 31:47Speaker 1: one of Ricky's neighbors who didn't appreciate his ever growing
- 31:53Speaker 1: collection of livestock. Specifically, the woman living next door to
- 31:57Speaker 1: rick um his promised land come pound, would rather his
- 32:01Speaker 1: two giant buffalo not tear up her lawn and put
- 32:05Speaker 1: her small children at risk. Ricky took to Instagram stories
- 32:09Speaker 1: to give his side of the story. He said, quote
- 32:11Speaker 1: everybody that wanted a statement and a response for my bulls,
- 32:16Speaker 1: my cows, and a couple of buffaloes that got away
- 32:19Speaker 1: in the community, this is my response. I always return
- 32:23Speaker 1: stray animals. Make sure to always keep a collar on
- 32:26Speaker 1: your animal, and mine don't have a collar because you
- 32:29Speaker 1: know it's mine. So when you see my buffalo, give
- 32:33Speaker 1: it a carrot, give it an apple. They're so kind
- 32:36Speaker 1: and so peaceful, thank everybody for watching. Thank everybody for
- 32:40Speaker 1: making sure all my animals get back to the promised land.
- 32:44Speaker 1: All my neighbors Fayettville, y'all the best bulls. You're serious,
- 32:57Speaker 1: Rickett Rich, because I ain't know he had boom. He's Ricky.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Come about Steve telling Ricky, Ricky, you know good and
- 33:09Speaker 1: damn well, I ain't nobody walked underbone that buffalo with
- 33:12Speaker 1: no damn far at the head on the buffalo. Yeah, yeah,
- 33:23Speaker 1: it ain't no joke. That's scary. That's scary. There some
- 33:28Speaker 1: kind of peaceful, that's what Ricky rose. I've been to
- 33:31Speaker 1: Rick Ross's place before, was here. It's dope, man, it's dope.
- 33:39Speaker 1: It's a lot of land like that for those kinds
- 33:41Speaker 1: of pass back. I just saw. I don't know if
- 33:43Speaker 1: he bought any more, but when holy Field had it
- 33:46Speaker 1: was one hundred and four weeks. Oh yeah, that's property. Okay, okay, wow.
- 33:52Speaker 1: But Rick Ross, my dude, man, I only met him
- 33:55Speaker 1: a couple of times. He just might dude though. I
- 33:57Speaker 1: just like he relations out these damn animals don't. But Steve,
- 34:03Speaker 1: he said he always returned straight animals. But those are
- 34:06Speaker 1: like dogs. Talk about a big buffalo dog. Ain't nobody
- 34:11Speaker 1: bringing your buffalo back down? About a thousand crowds? Man,
- 34:21Speaker 1: it's really correct. You've been to fad Ville. You know
- 34:24Speaker 1: who live in fad Ville? Yeah? Us, Oh yeah, So
- 34:29Speaker 1: you look at your window and there's a buffalo. Black
- 34:31Speaker 1: people ain't for to come outside? What is that? That's up? Yeah?
- 34:39Speaker 1: We don't even know what it is. I didn't know cow.
- 34:43Speaker 1: I don't know cow. What is man? I don't know what?
- 34:46Speaker 1: Get done? There's a mammoth outside. Willenbes all right, we're
- 34:59Speaker 1: moving on final story and entertainment news. We have to
- 35:02Speaker 1: say congratulations to Miss Gladys Knight. Gladys Knight, of course,
- 35:06Speaker 1: the Empress of Soul was awarded the Medal of Arts
- 35:09Speaker 1: from President Biden, the highest American award given to artists.
- 35:13Speaker 1: The President told Gladys that Gladys Knight is the best
- 35:17Speaker 1: thing that ever happened, using a play of course on
- 35:20Speaker 1: her lyrics. I love that, Yeah, I love that. Congratulations
- 35:24Speaker 1: to Miss Gladys Light Gladys Knight. The National Medal of
- 35:27Speaker 1: Arts recipients have helped to divine and enrich our nation's
- 35:31Speaker 1: cultural legacy through their lifelong, passionate commitment congratulations, Congratulations, we
- 35:37Speaker 1: love you, Gladys Knight. So the Pips' get night. What
- 35:43Speaker 1: about the pills? The work got out the bubble, all right, Steve.
- 35:59Speaker 1: Coming up twenty minutes after the hour, comedian Whitney Cummings
- 36:02Speaker 1: has said something that you've been saying for quite quite
- 36:06Speaker 1: a long time. She says, it's dangerous right now to
- 36:09Speaker 1: be a comedian in America. We'll talk about it right
- 36:12Speaker 1: after this. You're listening morning show. Comedian, writer and TV
- 36:18Speaker 1: producer Whitney Cummings thinks it's dangerous times right now to
- 36:22Speaker 1: be a comedian in America. She says, I don't have
- 36:26Speaker 1: to tell you. Over the past couple of years, comedy
- 36:29Speaker 1: has taken quite a hit. The performer tells Page six
- 36:32Speaker 1: in an exclusive interview. It became super obvious that there
- 36:37Speaker 1: were some issues in our society, which you know, it's
- 36:40Speaker 1: usually our job to comment on and confront, and then
- 36:43Speaker 1: all of a sudden, comedians started becoming like the enemy.
- 36:47Speaker 1: Cummings explains that previously comedians would tackle sensitive subjects to
- 36:52Speaker 1: help everyone cope and to laugh at horrible things, and
- 36:55Speaker 1: then all of a sudden, for a litany of reasons,
- 36:58Speaker 1: people started saying comedians are bullies and we're causing violence.
- 37:03Speaker 1: Wait what Cummings went on to say, there needs to
- 37:06Speaker 1: be space where comedians don't have to be scared anymore. So, Steve,
- 37:10Speaker 1: you've been saying this for quite some time about the
- 37:14Speaker 1: attack on comedians and how it's difficult now and everything.
- 37:17Speaker 1: So what's your take on this what she had to say? Well,
- 37:21Speaker 1: I think she's correct, and here's what I've thought about it.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Even further, the majority of the criticism comes from either
- 37:30Speaker 1: the far right or the far left. Okay, the most
- 37:36Speaker 1: of the criticism and the council culture was created and
- 37:41Speaker 1: come up by the far right and the far left.
- 37:44Speaker 1: These are the extremist. So the extremist because they are
- 37:49Speaker 1: extremely sensitive and they have created such a thought pattern
- 37:54Speaker 1: in their life that if you don't agree with what
- 37:58Speaker 1: I just said, that makes you a horrible person and
- 38:02Speaker 1: you should not exist. And that's on the far right
- 38:07Speaker 1: and the far left. And that's a dangerous place to
- 38:11Speaker 1: be because now we have it mitigated the freedom of speech.
- 38:18Speaker 1: But see, you freely can stand up and say who
- 38:22Speaker 1: you are and what you believe. You can stand up
- 38:25Speaker 1: and say who you are and what you want to
- 38:27Speaker 1: be called. But if a person stand up and say
- 38:31Speaker 1: I don't believe that, and I don't believe that, then
- 38:35Speaker 1: all of a sudden that person becomes, as she said,
- 38:39Speaker 1: the enemy. And if you make fun of it in
- 38:44Speaker 1: any way, then the extremists become extremely sensitive and they
- 38:53Speaker 1: call for your job, and them scary ass punk people
- 38:58Speaker 1: in the middle start castling your shows, pulling your sponsorship,
- 39:03Speaker 1: because the middle is scared of both of them. They're
- 39:07Speaker 1: scared of the far left and the far right. The
- 39:09Speaker 1: Democrats need the far left to win and the Republicans
- 39:13Speaker 1: need the far right to win, and they appease these
- 39:17Speaker 1: groups and give them life. But when you give an
- 39:19Speaker 1: extremists too much light, they're gonna be extreme. And that's
- 39:24Speaker 1: where we are today. Got a bunch of damn extreme
- 39:27Speaker 1: ask people out wow telling all the rest of us
- 39:30Speaker 1: what to think and feel. Man, miss me, Yeah, all right,
- 39:34Speaker 1: all right, coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour,
- 39:36Speaker 1: we're gonna check your voicemail Steve at eight seven seven
- 39:39Speaker 1: twenty nine, Steve. Right after this you're listening to show,
- 39:45Speaker 1: it is time now to check Steve's voicemail, And if
- 39:47Speaker 1: you would like to leave a message for Steve yourself,
- 39:50Speaker 1: call them eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve, you might
- 39:53Speaker 1: just hear your call on the air. Here we go, Steve,
- 39:56Speaker 1: this is a mail caller who has a question about
- 39:58Speaker 1: your faith. Face Jesus. Listen to your show in the morning.
- 40:02Speaker 1: I just got one question for you. Why don't you
- 40:05Speaker 1: never mention Jesus name asking me that pres he did that?
- 40:11Speaker 1: The other thing? You ain't listening to the whole four
- 40:16Speaker 1: hours we get there, But don't act like he ain't
- 40:18Speaker 1: done it. I'm damn right, but thank you telling. But
- 40:21Speaker 1: let me say this though, the reason I talk about
- 40:25Speaker 1: God is because I want people of all faith to
- 40:28Speaker 1: feel inclusive. I'm not in the sole conversion bist. I'm
- 40:32Speaker 1: not your past. So now, if you need to hear
- 40:35Speaker 1: specifically about Jesus, which is my faith and who I
- 40:38Speaker 1: believe in or who I pray to. But also I
- 40:41Speaker 1: gotta tell you what I'm praying. I talk to God
- 40:42Speaker 1: a lot of times too. I'm just gonna be real
- 40:45Speaker 1: with you now. If that ain't what you do, dog
- 40:47Speaker 1: ain't going about your BIST. But I say God, because
- 40:51Speaker 1: there's Muslims listening to the show, that's Jewish people listening
- 40:55Speaker 1: to the show, and they have the right to believe
- 40:58Speaker 1: in God. Now, it's on God. Now, the unifying thing
- 41:02Speaker 1: with all faiths is God, and the unifying thing with
- 41:05Speaker 1: all faiths is the keyword faith. So bro, don't worry
- 41:10Speaker 1: about why I ain't talking about Jesus. You talk about Jesus. See.
- 41:14Speaker 1: See that's the difference between people in the church and
- 41:17Speaker 1: people that go to church. See, I'm like Kim said
- 41:21Speaker 1: one time at his show, we got the same mission.
- 41:24Speaker 1: I'm just working across the street. You're talking to people
- 41:27Speaker 1: that's in the church. I'm talking to people ain't been
- 41:29Speaker 1: the church in a long time. That's who I'm talking to.
- 41:32Speaker 1: So now, if that's my role in life, now you
- 41:35Speaker 1: can be a different soldier in the army of the Lord,
- 41:38Speaker 1: which I understand. And let me give you this short analogy.
- 41:41Speaker 1: We are all soldiers in the army of the Lord.
- 41:45Speaker 1: And in that army that are clergymen. That are people
- 41:49Speaker 1: who serve the under privilege in the army. That are
- 41:52Speaker 1: clerical people in the army. That are people who transport
- 41:56Speaker 1: stuff in the army. There's people that fly the plans
- 41:58Speaker 1: in the army. That's that's ground people in the army.
- 42:02Speaker 1: Somebody in the army gotta be a That's my role
- 42:06Speaker 1: in the army for the Lord. Now you got another role,
- 42:08Speaker 1: you the deacon boy, you the clergy, you in acquired
- 42:12Speaker 1: you all that fine? You don't like I understand in
- 42:16Speaker 1: Jesus name how they're working. You don't time to hear

- 54:42Speaker 1: Subject He's about to mess around and find out. Dear
- 54:45Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley, I'm a forty four year old married woman
- 54:48Speaker 1: and I work with a lot of fine men. I've
- 54:52Speaker 1: tried to stay out of the office mess because everyone
- 54:55Speaker 1: is sleeping around, and I'm an administrator at the hospital,
- 54:58Speaker 1: so i could lose my job. But there's a young
- 55:01Speaker 1: cutie pie that was in my face every day asking
- 55:04Speaker 1: to play. He used to walk up on me and
- 55:07Speaker 1: put sweet kisses on my neck, grab my hands when
- 55:11Speaker 1: he talked to me, and he even left sweet notes
- 55:14Speaker 1: on my computer these are things my husband has never done.
- 55:19Speaker 1: My husband and I have a very good sex life,
- 55:22Speaker 1: but this young man, this young un made me feel
- 55:26Speaker 1: hot and tingly inside. I talked to my thirty two
- 55:29Speaker 1: year old sister about the guy, and she told me
- 55:31Speaker 1: he has a reputation for being blessed below and very
- 55:35Speaker 1: talented in the bedroom. He and my sister went to
- 55:37Speaker 1: school together, and she warned me to stay away from him,
- 55:41Speaker 1: and I tried to, but he came into my office
- 55:45Speaker 1: the other day and pressed it all up on me
- 55:48Speaker 1: while hugging me tightly. I couldn't help but gasp, and
- 55:52Speaker 1: then I asked him to let me see it. He
- 55:55Speaker 1: had no problem showing it to me. So there we
- 55:58Speaker 1: were all alone in my office. I did what needed
- 56:02Speaker 1: to be done, and let's just say I had to
- 56:05Speaker 1: reapply my lipstick when I was done. I would not
- 56:09Speaker 1: let him go all the way because that would have
- 56:11Speaker 1: been too much for me to handle at work. It's
- 56:14Speaker 1: been three days since the occurrence and he has not
- 56:19Speaker 1: been by my office and I have only seen him once. Surely,
- 56:23Speaker 1: this young and doesn't think he played me. He's about
- 56:26Speaker 1: to mess around and find out who's running things around here.
- 56:29Speaker 1: I can either start to cut his hours like everyone else's,
- 56:32Speaker 1: or I can include him and all of the layoffs
- 56:35Speaker 1: that are coming up. Why did he change all of
- 56:37Speaker 1: a sudden? Is he mad that I didn't go all
- 56:39Speaker 1: the way? Or was this all that he wanted? Okay,
- 56:44Speaker 1: this right here is just wrong. Okay, I don't like this.
- 56:48Speaker 1: I mean, you're going to punish him for something you did. Yes,
- 56:52Speaker 1: he was wrong to pursue you like that, a married
- 56:55Speaker 1: woman and his superior on the job and all of that.
- 56:57Speaker 1: But you, ma'am, ma'am, you encourage this young man, and
- 57:02Speaker 1: with today's climate, you really really should know better. You're
- 57:05Speaker 1: an administrator, you should know the rules. You should have
- 57:10Speaker 1: shut him down a long time ago, because who lets
- 57:13Speaker 1: their coworker I mean just blatantly kiss them on the
- 57:16Speaker 1: neck at work and hold their hands. And you know,
- 57:21Speaker 1: your sister warned you about this guy, but you didn't listen,
- 57:24Speaker 1: And now you want to mess with his job for
- 57:27Speaker 1: something you willingly participate it in. Now this was consensual,
- 57:32Speaker 1: and you know this. Now you're mad and one to
- 57:34Speaker 1: flex about who's boss and all that, because he hasn't
- 57:37Speaker 1: come around for three days. I just don't have more
- 57:41Speaker 1: to say than that you, my dear, are just wrong
- 57:43Speaker 1: on so many levels with this. Steve. Yeah, well this
- 57:47Speaker 1: is interesting. Oh ladies, I have some disturbing news for you,
- 57:57Speaker 1: and I'm gonna try to save it for the second
- 58:00Speaker 1: and have for this letter book. I'm just gonna be
- 58:02Speaker 1: honest with you. I'm gonna just tell you what I
- 58:04Speaker 1: think is having it here. And I don't think it's
- 58:07Speaker 1: the way that you're looking at this thing the correct way. Now,
- 58:10Speaker 1: you know you, You say you forty for man, and
- 58:13Speaker 1: you work with a lot of fine men, and everybody's
- 58:16Speaker 1: sleeping around. But the one young cute powers in your
- 58:18Speaker 1: office that asking every day, asking you to play. He
- 58:23Speaker 1: used to walk up on me and put sweet kisses
- 58:26Speaker 1: on my neck where y'all work you Wow wow? And
- 58:36Speaker 1: this counseled me me to culture. Can you walk up
- 58:41Speaker 1: on a woman at work and pay sweet kisses on
- 58:45Speaker 1: a night? Wow? Wow? Let me tell you why it
- 58:49Speaker 1: ain't It ain't understand you all the morning show. We
- 58:52Speaker 1: can't do that at all. It ain't down a family few.
- 58:57Speaker 1: You might be ready for love, but you ain't ready
- 58:59Speaker 1: for not right now? Where is this going on? Grab
- 59:07Speaker 1: my hands? When he talked to me, and even left
- 59:10Speaker 1: sweet notes on your computer, and these are things my
- 59:14Speaker 1: husband never done. Then here comes to lie. My husband
- 59:17Speaker 1: and I have a very good sex life. Okay, so
- 59:19Speaker 1: what you out here? So that's some lie. But I
- 59:23Speaker 1: got news for you. We're gonna use that. Me and
- 59:26Speaker 1: my husband let me Where is it that I just lost?
- 59:31Speaker 1: Have a very good sex life? But this younger made
- 59:35Speaker 1: me feel hot and tinger. Now I talked to my
- 59:39Speaker 1: thirty two year old sister about the guy. She told
- 59:41Speaker 1: me he got a reputation to being blessed below and
- 59:44Speaker 1: very talented in the bedroom. He and your sister went
- 59:47Speaker 1: to school together. Well, I got news for you. They
- 59:50Speaker 1: ain't the only place him and your sister ben Oh,
- 59:53Speaker 1: that ain't the only place him and your sister being
- 59:57Speaker 1: she know too much talking about Did anybody tell you
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: he's got a reputation for being blessed below, very talented
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: in the bedroom. And then she warned me to stay
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: away from him. Now how she got all that damn information?
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: Jeff caught they went to school. They ain't just went
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: to school. They went to the hotel. Your sister didn't
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: been with him. Then here go here, go to park
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: and get stupid. I tried to. But he came in
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: Marvels the other day and he pressed it all up

- 1:01:10Speaker 1: Strawberry letter. The subject is He's about to mess around
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: and find out. Forty four year old married woman working
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: with a lot of fine men, this one cutie pipe
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: in coming around to her office, pressing up on it,
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: and he always asking her can they play? He used
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: to walk up on me and put sweet kisses on
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: my netwhether he only one? Can't do that to your
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: damn job. And you the supervisor right grab my hands
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: when we talk to me. Heaven left sweet notes on
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: my computer my husband and I have a very good
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: sex life. I want you to remember that, because I'm
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: a question that in a minute. My husband and I
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: have a very good set. But this young and made
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: me feel hot and team talked to my thirty two
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: year old sister. She told me the guy had a
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: reputation of being blessed below their talent. In the bedroom.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: Here and my sister went to school together, and she
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: wanted me to stay away from him. She got a
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: lot of information for somebody just went to school with somebody.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: You know why, because they went to they went somewhere else,
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: moved in school, they went all the way, they went
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: to the hotel, they went to the back of the truck.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: But it didn't popped off because she know all of
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: it and told you to stay away from him. Get
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: here she come. I tried, Well, damnit, you didn't try
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: hard enough. But he came into my office the other
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: day and he pressed it all up on me while
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: hugging me tighten. I couldn't help, but dad, and then
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: I asked him to let me see it. He had
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: no problem showing it to him. So there we were
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: all alone in my office, superlus I did what needed
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: to be done, and let's just say I had to
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: reapply my lipstick when I was done. I would not
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: let him go all the way because that would have
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: been too much for me to handle. At worst. Oh well,
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: that's mighty wifeyhuck near higgo. It's been three days since
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: the occurrence and he has not been by my office
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: and I've only seen him once. Surely this young and
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: don't think he played? Okay, well what you want to call? Yeah,
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: surely this young and don't think he played. He about
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: to mess around and find out who running things around here? Oh? Women, women, Oh,
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: now you want to be supervisors? You aren't supervised when
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: you was on your knee. That ain't a very supervisory
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: position right there. He wasn't supervised when you was reapplying
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: your lipstick. You weren't supervisor when you was gasping. Nae,
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: you wants to be the supervisor. He about to find
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: out who running things round you. I can either start
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: cutting his eye was like everybody else's, or I can
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: include him and all the layoffs that are coming up.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: Why did he change all of the sing I'm about
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: to answer that question. Is he mad that I didn't
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: go all the way or was that all he wanted? Girl,
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: you're so stupid you don't see this. You're supposed to
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: be the supervisor. Okay, let me tell you something about yourself,
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: miss supervisul. Since you thank you all that, you just
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: found out you ain't now Leader's young boy long because
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: you you asked him let me see it. You initiated this.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: All he was doing was putting forth to effort. You
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: asked him in your office at work to let you
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: see it. He didn't have no problem showing it to
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: and then you say I did for it needed to
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: be done. That's what she said. That's what you say
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: in your office in a very unsupervisory position. Now you
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: all down in the float, putting your damn lipstick back home.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: Now you mad because young boy ain't been by there
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: in three days. You know, I think I think it's you.
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: I think he've been back. The answer you because earlier
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: in the letter you saying me and my husband have
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: a good sex life. Well I think you're lying, because
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: see I think you gotta messed up definition what's good.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: You might think you better than you really are. You
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: and your husband might not be having all that good
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: of a sex life. You don't want to think it's
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: a good sex life, but you're skipping off somewhere else.
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: You do want had to put your lipstick back home.
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: You thought you did a good job, young boy probably
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: had better. You see what I'm getting at now you
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: all down in the float. You ain't as good at
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: it as you thought she was. So now the young
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: boy sent off it going, well, that wasn't worth it,
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: all them hugging and damn notes, I didn't wasted job.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: Now he down that here and he doing a tomato
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: drink commercial here on that singing. I could have had
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: a V eight. You thought you to blew his mind,
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: didn't you. I knew you were gonna see not the
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: song for everything. Didn't not blow your mind this time?
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Didn't not I want to leave your baby, but you didn't.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: You didn't blow his mind and nothing else. So now
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: that we got that out the way, hello, write that down. Yeah,
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: post your comments on today's Strawberry Letters where he want
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: to risk on Instagram and Facebook, and check out the
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: Strawberry Letters coming up in forty six. Right after this
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: you're listening to show It is time now for junior
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: and sports talk. What you got junior, Thank you Jesus
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: Sports Talk, Thank you Jesus. Just want to make sure
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: we put it on here. Amen. Uh Man, Tommy Willis
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: Reid passed away. Dn't know if you saw that at
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: the age of eighty, man, I mean a story ten
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: ten year career. Uh. I never got to see Willis
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: read play. I never did see that. That's how young
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: I am. But he was a two time NBA champion,
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: seven times NBA All Star Basketball Hall of Fame. He
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: was the NBA MVP in nineteen sixty nine to nineteen seventy.
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: He was a two time Finals MVP, and the man
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: graduated from Gramblin University. Uh, this is uh you know?
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: Was he was? He? That dominant up? Was he? That
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: will his Reid was for his greatest moment, man, was
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: when he went off the floor with the severe injury.
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: And one of the games final games when the New
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: York Knicks was at They Hight whose New York Knicks
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: had Earl Leaperl Monroe, Walf Frasier, Dave the bushell, Oh
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: the boys, bastard. I had all New York Knicks here
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: that blew it with the orange basketball and after halftime
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: he came out limping severely took his sweat off and
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: winning that wore the ass out. Willis Reid is one
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: of the great video tapes out and I think that's all.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: So what people don't understand, who would not around then,
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: how the game was so different. The game was a
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: different game. It was hand checking, it was it was
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: boxing out under the board real it was a rugged game.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: You had to have a big man to defend the
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: middle because they was coming, and you had to have
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: a big man. You could dump it down in the
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: world and get your two points. That game is gone.
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: And if these a lot of these young people had
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: to play back in that day, they wouldn't have made it.
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: They would not have made it. Jordan jumped a lot
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: of stuff off. But Magic, man, they're not giving Magic
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: his due. Magic changed the game of basketball. The first
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: big man that was that fluid with about I mean,
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: his handles was crazy, but his passing and so that
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: arrow basketball is what I keep seeing. And when they
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: make the comparison to today, that's why I just keep
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: you didn't see it, man, So y'all really don't know.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: I saw a funny video on Instagram the other day.
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: Latino Gay was in the footlocker and a guy came
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: up to him and said, who is the greatest basketball
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: player of all time? Lebron or Jordan? He says, you
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: see anybody in here with from Lebron's Wow, love Lebron whatever.
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: A woman on social media needs your advice. She says
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: her family is gonna trip out about her male roommate.
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this you're listening show,
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: all right, so Steve, listen to this. Evelyn on Facebook writes,
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: at the beginning of the year, I rented a room
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: in my house to a guy. He seems to be
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: an ideal roommate and there's nothing happening between us. But
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: I come from a very strict family, and I know
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: they're going to take issue with me having a male roommate.
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: No one from my family has been to my house
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: in a couple of years, so it's conceivable to just
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: keep this secret. But I hate keeping things from them.
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: There's nothing they could really do, but I don't want
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: to disappoint them. Should I just keep it a secret
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: or tell them and let the pieces fall where they may? Well,
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: you know what the pieces are gonna be. Yeah, you know,
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: you know they don't be unhappy. You know it's gonna
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: be the subject at the next dinner. You already know that. Well,
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: what is this? I hate keeping secrets. You can't tell everything.
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: Nothing part about the hain't nothing the part about it.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: It don't look like nothing happening. That's gonna be the
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: hall when the police. Yeah, yeah, because what what y'all
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: in the doing? I'm you got it. You gotta admit
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: it does look like a fact. Y'all living together. If
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: he's a rulemate and y'all in the same up, y'all
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: living together, that's what that is. I don't give a
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: damn if he's chipping in a lot of people chippy
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: and lived together. So that's what your parents are just
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: gonna see any rest of your family. You know you're
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: trying to tell me though, nothing nothing. If you're trying
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: to tell me when't a girl no where needed place?
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: No damn where ain't no girl answered the air. She
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: said it's a great roommate though, and she said nothing's
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: happening between them. Doing that, he write down, He write
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: there she right there, come home from a hard day work,
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: but it's gonna happens. Stressed that I don't want to
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: talk about what happened today. We're gonna deal that. How
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: didn't care if you ain't that attracted to her? And
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: one night he gonna look better than he ever looked before.
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: Hate everybody looked good at one third. Am. Yeah, it's skinned.
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: It's just skin. That where we are with it. It
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: just scanned what we men and you got skinned girl.
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: We all do something skinned for the man. Yeah. You
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: know what started it up. You know what statements she
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: made that started to let him know it's going that way.
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: You want something to eat? Wait a minute, now, you
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: want something eat? That means you're gonna make a man
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: something eat. You got to be attracted to me. I don't.
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: I don't feed an attracted people. I'm trying. You got
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: to be he came home, Yeah, opened the door. That's it.
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: He in there. You only feed cute people. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: you know, I gonna even know you're hungry, ugly, cute whatever.
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: Ain't doing it? Ain't doing it? Said, they're not. Did
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: you not hear? Ye? Yeah? Yeah, since you got a
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: read and love, you think everybody. I know it when
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: I see it. Hey, but how it's all of the
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: people she picked to do. I'm telling you she liked
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: this boy because she knew what her parents and people
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: was gonna set anyway. He seems to be an ideal roommate.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: It's what she Okay, y'all too latest, did y'all have
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: a male roommate? I know? Not look at me. He's
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: hushm what is that? But y'all hear grown. They know like, hey,
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: it's them and what I'm just gonna run across this
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: hall right yeah, all right, shower and I want to
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: rub the hall to my room because it cool. Yeah,
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: Kelly over twenty minutes after the hour, we'll have more
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: show right after this. You're listening show. Scott Hollingsworth of Orlando,
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: Florida said a nine foot alligator bit his leg. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: What happened was what had happened was Scott said he
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: heard a bump at his front door. Okay. Scott said,
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: he jumped up, headed over and opened the door, stepped
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: out while trying to reach the lights, and barely got
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: out the door and got his leg clamped on and
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: it started shaking really violently. So then Scott Hollingworth went
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: on to say, we see alligators all the time behind
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: our house. It's a regular thing. But they always keep
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: their distance from us. Uh, they keep their distance. Yeah,
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: they keep theirs. So y'all got an understanding. It's what
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: you think. Don't cross this line. They don't cross this line.
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: That's how y'all living over there. Yeah, wild as alligator.
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: But this stuff on the door and just opening the
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: damn dough, that's what the part I don't get right there.
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: See the reason I ain't going out there because I ain't.
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: Never I've never heard an alligator response, who had the dough?
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: It's me? Yeah, we gotta we need to hear who

- 1:21:00Speaker 1: waiting on that when I say, one day somebody's gonna
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: ask me Lord. Okay. You know earlier today we had
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: a phone call from a guy on the on the
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: phone line. Oh yeah, he was asking me a question
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: about faith, and he said, and I'm paraphrasing it, I
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: want to have a question for you, Steve Harvey, about faith.
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: And I could tell by his tone it was in
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: a little condescending way. We can play it again. Yeah,
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: all right, yeah, let's do that. Play it day, say
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: Jeeves and listen to your show in the morning. I
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: just got one question for you. Why don't you never
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: mention Jesus snake? Asking me that? Peace out? You see,
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: I could tell by the way he asked me the
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: question put his intent walk because he asked me why
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: you don't ever mention Jesus name? And then he said
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: answer me that, Well, let me let me address this
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: again in a different way. I really don't have to
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: answer you that. I really don't because I stopped allowing
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: people to judge me and question me on my faith
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: a long time. I stopped. And you know why, because
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: number one, you ain't supposed to judge Number two. It
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: ain't your business. But the real reason is I say
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: Jesus a lot of time. You don't listen to the
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: radio all the time, so how come you miss it
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: when I do say it? But I do refer to
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: God often. And I bet you when it comes to
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: secular radio, I bet you ain't nobody in adult contemporary,
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: hip hop, jazz, top party pop. I don't care adult contemporary.
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: I don't care what you got. I bet you it
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: ain't nobody on a music radio station talking about God
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: more than me. I match mine up with anybody. But
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: you want to narrow it down, and I got news
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: for you can throw in country radio two. Ain't nobody
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: on none of them stations. That's not a gospel station
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: talking about God and faith more than me. But you know, man,
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: I don't care what you do. It ain't enough for
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: some people. It ain't ever enough, Ain't you kind of funny? Brother?
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: The way you add ask me that question, answer me
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: that like nine like if I don't say Jesus more,
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: obviously that's the problem for you. But it's not for me, though, Brother,
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: It's really really not. Because I talked to him on
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: my own when I'm on my own I talked to
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: him on a daily basis. But when I'm on this
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: radio show, I respect and honor all faith. We have
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: Muslims listen, we have Jewish listen. We got all denominations.
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: We got Catholics, Jehovah Witnesses, Seventh Day of Venice, we
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: got everybody listened to this show. Pastor Geno Jennings listens
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: to this show. If he don't, he get the tape
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: on it. We got everybody listening. Man, my job, the
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: Christian that I am, I was taught by my mama,
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: who was a Sunday school teacher, to love and respect
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: all people, culture's faith, religion. She told me that he
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: said some because at the end of the day, God
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: is our only judge, and God determines in his own way.
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: And she said, the reason you can't take the place
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: of God judge him because his ways is his high
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: above the earth as the heaven. You can't think like hilling,
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: so don't even try. So It's not my job to
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: take over the position of the thinker of whose faith
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: is this and whose faith is that? Because I didn't
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: create any of them. That's God's job. And in the
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: end God will be the determining factor for all of
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: our faith. But I was taught to honor and respect
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: all faith. That's what my mama taught me all. She
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: taught me about Jesus Christ as the cornerstone of who
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: I am. But I'm on a national radio show, it
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: I try to direct people to God today. Faith, I'm
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: not in the sole conversion business. Brother. See the thing
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: about me is I'm a bold soldier. I am an
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: imperfect soldier for Christ. But I'm a bold soldier no daughter. See,
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: I got the guts to say something about His power,
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: about his grace, his mercy and forgiveness. I have the
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: courage to stand up on a game show and talk
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: about God. I stand up on the radio show and
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: don't open it without talking about God, and oftentimes I
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: close talking about it because I'm inclusive of all faith.
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: But you know what, brother, I can't say that about
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: you because you didn't even have the courage to put
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: your name out of him, because you didn't want what
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: comes with being out front. Me, on the other hand,
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: I have no problem with it because out front I am,
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: and out front I'll beat until he called me home.
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: And you can call him whatever you want, Okay, have
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: a great day. Those are my closing remarks today. If
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: you didn't get nothing odd of that, one, tune in tomorrow.
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: We might have something funny and next time you call
