Why Bastille’s EP Is Like Nothing They’ve Ever Made Before · Direct From Hollywood with Ryan Seacrest

0:00
Speaker 1: Direct from Hollywood with Ryan Seacrest. Basteel is back with
0:04
Speaker 1: a new five song EP called goose Bumps, including a
0:06
Speaker 1: song of the same name. While the band had already
0:09
Speaker 1: released three albums prior for the making of this project,
0:11
Speaker 1: they went about the process in a new way. From
0:13
Speaker 1: and Dan Smith says to Songwriter Universe, after our third album,
0:17
Speaker 1: we were looking to shake up our ways of working.
0:19
Speaker 1: The songwriting process had always been quite solitary in our band.
0:23
Speaker 1: I generally came up with songs and then took them
0:25
Speaker 1: to our producer and we take them to the band
0:28
Speaker 1: and produced them and what will become Bastille songs. That's
0:31
Speaker 1: how it's always been for me. So I wanted to
0:33
Speaker 1: collaborate and bring other writers and artists into our world
0:36
Speaker 1: with different experiences, techniques and styles. On that note, the
0:38
Speaker 1: band teamed up with underground Red Hot producer Kenny Beats
0:41
Speaker 1: for the EPs title track, goose Bumps Featuring Kenny, which
0:44
Speaker 1: is out now. That's Direct from Hollywood.
