- 0:58Speaker 1: gotta turn, you gotta turn to turn them out. Turn
- 1:42Speaker 1: you love, got to turn them out. Then turn the
- 1:46Speaker 1: water the water go. Come come on your fat uh huh.
- 2:01Speaker 1: I shall well a good morning everybody, y'all listening to
- 2:05Speaker 1: the voice I come on dignity naw one and only
- 2:09Speaker 1: Steve Harley got a radio show. I was. I had
- 2:14Speaker 1: my head down then it was thinking of what I
- 2:17Speaker 1: wanted to say this morning. But it kind of it's
- 2:23Speaker 1: kind of be something I've lived for a long time,
- 2:27Speaker 1: and you know, for a long time, you know, I
- 2:30Speaker 1: had a lot of faith in people. You know. It's
- 2:33Speaker 1: strange too, because you know, you know, my mother was
- 2:37Speaker 1: a Sunday school teacher, so of course I grew up
- 2:40Speaker 1: around it, knowing the scriptures and things like that. Not
- 2:44Speaker 1: not a lot of them, but you know, the ones
- 2:46Speaker 1: I retained. But having her as a mother was was
- 2:51Speaker 1: a huge help and understand about faith but even with that,
- 2:54Speaker 1: as I grew up, I began to put a lot
- 2:58Speaker 1: of faith in people, and you know, I figured, you know,
- 3:02Speaker 1: just like everybody else, you know, man if I could
- 3:04Speaker 1: just meet this person, or if I could just sit
- 3:07Speaker 1: down with that person, or man if I could just
- 3:10Speaker 1: get this person to hear my ideal, or man if
- 3:14Speaker 1: if this person could hear my track, or man if
- 3:17Speaker 1: I could just get this in the hands or somebody
- 3:20Speaker 1: in the know. I was, like everybody else, I thought
- 3:24Speaker 1: that way. You know, I actually thought that if I
- 3:26Speaker 1: could get in a certain situation with a certain person,
- 3:29Speaker 1: that if a certain person were to meet me, that
- 3:33Speaker 1: you know, it could change everything for me. Oh man,
- 3:37Speaker 1: Oh how wrong I was? Oh how wrong I was?
- 3:42Speaker 1: How long did I spend feeling that way? And how
- 3:45Speaker 1: many of you out there possibly have felt that way before?
- 3:48Speaker 1: You know, like even in a relationship, this is the
- 3:51Speaker 1: person for me, and you know, you just lay claim
- 3:54Speaker 1: to that, you know, not necessarily being a fact, but
- 3:57Speaker 1: you just lay claim to it. This is the person
- 3:59Speaker 1: for me, This is the person that I want to
- 4:02Speaker 1: spend the rest of my life with. You know, sometimes,
- 4:04Speaker 1: you know, we just lay claim to stuff, and it's
- 4:06Speaker 1: not always what's in our best interest, or it's not
- 4:08Speaker 1: always a fact, it's just what we decided we want it.
- 4:12Speaker 1: And I was guilty of that, just like anybody else.
- 4:15Speaker 1: And I spent a lot of years in my life
- 4:18Speaker 1: putting faith in people. Man, if I could tell you
- 4:21Speaker 1: anything this morning, it's to stop putting your faith in
- 4:25Speaker 1: people and put your faith in God where it counts
- 4:28Speaker 1: the most. I mean, you can get something out of
- 4:30Speaker 1: this one. See, here's a deal about a relationship with God.
- 4:34Speaker 1: It's the same all the time. He never changes. His
- 4:39Speaker 1: word is one absolute. His word doesn't have loopholes in it,
- 4:43Speaker 1: none of that. It's this is what it is. He's
- 4:47Speaker 1: very clear. Now, you can deviate off your end of
- 4:51Speaker 1: a bargain, but it don't stop what he says from
- 4:55Speaker 1: being true. But if he asks you to do something,
- 4:57Speaker 1: if God asks you to be a certain way, to
- 5:00Speaker 1: do a little something a certain way, and you don't
- 5:02Speaker 1: do it that way, then you know you could still
- 5:06Speaker 1: possibly get by for a while. But don't you understand
- 5:10Speaker 1: that his end of the deal stays the same, and
- 5:13Speaker 1: as long as you're not doing it the way you're
- 5:15Speaker 1: supposed to, the results are not going to be what
- 5:17Speaker 1: you wanted to be. And I did this for years
- 5:20Speaker 1: and years and years, and I counted on people, and
- 5:24Speaker 1: you know, I got myself in a lot of situations.
- 5:27Speaker 1: And I got out one a dire situation that I'd
- 5:30Speaker 1: been in for a number of years. But he had
- 5:32Speaker 1: protected me from years prior to that. I didn't even
- 5:34Speaker 1: know what was going on, and then he made it away.
- 5:37Speaker 1: It made me aware of the problem. And then, man,
- 5:41Speaker 1: Lord ha mercy, I was in a dismal situation. And
- 5:44Speaker 1: then at the end of the year, I was free,
- 5:47Speaker 1: free from it all. But it was a decision that
- 5:50Speaker 1: I had made that led up to that, and in
- 5:54Speaker 1: going through that process, I had to learn something. Man.
- 5:57Speaker 1: I learned a lot about people. See, if you want
- 6:00Speaker 1: to learn about your friends, if you want to learn
- 6:03Speaker 1: about your people people around you, get yourself in some trouble,
- 6:08Speaker 1: get yourself in a situation, oh man, you start looking around. Man,
- 6:12Speaker 1: the field get real clear when you're in trouble. The
- 6:16Speaker 1: field clear is out when you're in doubt, when you
- 6:19Speaker 1: don't know what to do, when you need help, it
- 6:21Speaker 1: get real clear on the play and field. Then don't it. Ah.
- 6:25Speaker 1: But when things is going right, it's time for a party.
- 6:27Speaker 1: We throw in a celebration. We were gonna we're gonna
- 6:31Speaker 1: do one down here. Oh man, there's plenty of people
- 6:33Speaker 1: on the field. But but but get yourself in a situation.
- 6:37Speaker 1: You find out rather quickly that old no, old no,
- 6:41Speaker 1: everybody ain't here. And that's when I started learning. And
- 6:45Speaker 1: I'm telling you, I had to start learning this for
- 6:48Speaker 1: real until I finally got it to stop putting my
- 6:51Speaker 1: faith in people and put all the mine in God
- 6:53Speaker 1: where it counts the most. Now is that to say
- 6:57Speaker 1: that there are people that you can't trust. No, that's
- 6:59Speaker 1: not what I'm saying. I ain't say you can't trust him,
- 7:02Speaker 1: but you can't dump your faith in him. I got
- 7:05Speaker 1: it all riding on what he say. I got it
- 7:08Speaker 1: all riding on what she say. Na, Na, No, I
- 7:14Speaker 1: hear you saying it. But I'm gonna keep my own
- 7:18Speaker 1: this situation because I hear you saying it. But I'm
- 7:22Speaker 1: gonna take this faith of mine and instead of putting
- 7:25Speaker 1: it in people, I'm gonna put it in God where
- 7:27Speaker 1: it counts the most, because his word is absolute. What
- 7:30Speaker 1: he say he gonna do, he gonna do what he says.
- 7:33Speaker 1: He's not gonna tolerate he's not gonna tolerate. Now, you
- 7:35Speaker 1: can make it, you can make it tolerable for yourself,
- 7:38Speaker 1: but he's not gonna tolerate it. And that's just the
- 7:40Speaker 1: end of the line. And so you know, I'm wondering
- 7:43Speaker 1: how many people out there find themselves in a situation
- 7:47Speaker 1: like me. Or maybe you've gotten yourself in a situation
- 7:49Speaker 1: because you put your faith in some people and now
- 7:52Speaker 1: you wound up in a different type of situation. Now,
- 7:54Speaker 1: let me ask you whetting people at the only one
- 8:00Speaker 1: that I found when I was in my deepest trouble,
- 8:03Speaker 1: when me and my wife were in our darkest situation,
- 8:07Speaker 1: was God. It is the only one, was the only
- 8:10Speaker 1: one who was just right there, right there, all the
- 8:13Speaker 1: way through. Now, let me explain something to you. Because
- 8:20Speaker 1: you have this relationship with God, it does not mean,
- 8:24Speaker 1: it does not mean now that it won't get it
- 8:27Speaker 1: won't still be a situation, you understand. But what He
- 8:31Speaker 1: will do is protect you during that period. He'll cover
- 8:36Speaker 1: you during that period that it is a situation. He
- 8:40Speaker 1: will give you the strength to overcome the situation when
- 8:44Speaker 1: it turns into a situation. Then when He cracks it
- 8:47Speaker 1: open for you and the sun is bright and shining.
- 8:50Speaker 1: What he don't want you to do is when he
- 8:52Speaker 1: gets sunny again, to forget about him who was there
- 8:55Speaker 1: when it was dark for you. See, I used to
- 8:58Speaker 1: do that too, you know I was Oh, man, I
- 9:01Speaker 1: did it. I'm telling you right now, I did it.
- 9:04Speaker 1: But I'm telling you man, when I learned a very
- 9:07Speaker 1: serious lesson and I watched some people I thought were
- 9:11Speaker 1: friends of mine just sort of casually remove themselves from
- 9:16Speaker 1: the situation. Then I said, okay. Me and Margie looked around.
- 9:21Speaker 1: We said okay, it's just me, you and God. And
- 9:23Speaker 1: when we started conducting ourselves accordingly. So when it's sunny
- 9:28Speaker 1: for us, we remember God. We stay prayerful, we keep
- 9:32Speaker 1: talking to him. We thank him for the sunshine, we
- 9:35Speaker 1: thank him for the dark days that he allowed us
- 9:38Speaker 1: to do, who allowed us to survive it and turn
- 9:41Speaker 1: it into sunny days. And we talked to him constantly
- 9:44Speaker 1: to protect us of our future enemies. And that's what
- 9:47Speaker 1: the deal is. So if I was everybody, I would
- 9:49Speaker 1: stop putting your faith in people and put your trust
- 9:52Speaker 1: in God where it really does count the most, It
- 9:54Speaker 1: really really does. You're listening, hey, everybody, let me have
- 10:02Speaker 1: your attention. Please this See it's a Steve Harvey Morning Show,

- 23:12Speaker 1: I've been cutting my hair for over ten years, and

- 23:17Speaker 1: just figuring I'm gonna start cutting ham not oh well,
- 23:21Speaker 1: yeah what you might cut a hand. It might be

- 24:51Speaker 1: to do wonders for your shot. People to come from
- 24:54Speaker 1: miles around to see somethbody like myself cutting that kind
- 24:58Speaker 1: of in my shot? Did you what I said? I
- 25:01Speaker 1: heard what you said? What I don't want you to

- 32:29Speaker 1: think Lala's gonna We're gonna see a new side of
- 32:31Speaker 1: Lala's character, Keisha. She's turning against ghosts too, carl ah huh,
- 32:36Speaker 1: and against Tasha Saint Patrick and against her girls. So

- 32:58Speaker 1: ghost not me though. Now none of that alright, Steve,
- 33:03Speaker 1: we gotta move on. Time for today's headlines Ladies and Gentlemen,
- 33:07Speaker 1: miss and trip much and Yeah, I can't wait for power.
- 33:11Speaker 1: That's my show anyway. A growing list of cities, states,
- 33:14Speaker 1: and organizations are suing the federal government over new rules
- 33:18Speaker 1: that would keep immigrants from qualifying for green cards in
- 33:21Speaker 1: later citizenship if they take advantage of any public assistance
- 33:24Speaker 1: like medicaid, food stands, and housing vouchers. More than fifteen
- 33:28Speaker 1: states as already have already filed suit, including California, Washington State,
- 33:31Speaker 1: in Pennsylvania, and now New York City and New York
- 33:34Speaker 1: State have joined in with Attorney General Letitia James state
- 33:37Speaker 1: in the case, the Trump administration's thinly veiled efforts to
- 33:41Speaker 1: only allow those who meet their narrow ethnic, racial, and
- 33:45Speaker 1: economic criteria to enter is a clear violation of the
- 33:50Speaker 1: laws and will be met with a very very strong
- 33:54Speaker 1: response trup administrations. New rules are scheduled to go into
- 33:58Speaker 1: effect in October, and the range of programs that would
- 34:01Speaker 1: lead authorities into seeing certain new arrivals as burdens on
- 34:05Speaker 1: US taxpayers and therefore ineligible for permanent legal status looks
- 34:09Speaker 1: like President Trump is making another political about face. This
- 34:12Speaker 1: time it's about gun laws. After the recent mass shootings
- 34:15Speaker 1: in El Paso and elsewhere. Trump seemed to increase background checks,
- 34:20Speaker 1: but now, after a portly meeting with nur A head
- 34:22Speaker 1: Awayne Lapierre, Trump's staying a different tune. We can't let
- 34:25Speaker 1: that slope go so easy that we're talking about background
- 34:29Speaker 1: checks that all of a sudden, we're talking about let's
- 34:32Speaker 1: take everybody's gun away. People need weapons, unfortunately for protection.
- 34:37Speaker 1: Now Trump's talking about mental illness more than gun control measures.
- 34:41Speaker 1: The Trump administrations come out with another controversial rule. Get
- 34:44Speaker 1: this one. This one allows for indefinite detention of migrant
- 34:48Speaker 1: families with children while their asylum claims are being processed.
- 34:50Speaker 1: The new ruling in effect gets rid of something called
- 34:53Speaker 1: the Flores Settlement, which set a twenty day cap for
- 34:56Speaker 1: detained families and which President Trump says micros have been
- 35:00Speaker 1: to abuse the system. It takes effect sixty days for tomorrow,
- 35:03Speaker 1: but you probably can expect some legal challenges. The Americans
- 35:06Speaker 1: Civil Liberties Union calls to change just one more cruel
- 35:08Speaker 1: attack on immigrant families by this White House. While the
- 35:12Speaker 1: NFL may have decided to move on without Colin Kaepernick,
- 35:15Speaker 1: many people have not. The gifted quarterback began protesting not
- 35:18Speaker 1: the NFL, but police brutality, you understand. In twenty sixteen,
- 35:21Speaker 1: and he got a lot of death threats well, at
- 35:23Speaker 1: least three black payers still kneeling San Francisco forty nine,
- 35:26Speaker 1: his teammate Eric Reid, Miami Dolphins receiver Kenny Stills, and
- 35:30Speaker 1: Albert Wilson. Kaepernick's praising all three of them for quote.
- 35:33Speaker 1: Clair continued efforts to fight for the people, even in
- 35:36Speaker 1: the face of death threats to white Galluson police officers
- 35:39Speaker 1: not facing any charges, despite the way they arrested a
- 35:42Speaker 1: black man earlier this month parading him down the street.
- 35:44Speaker 1: The cops, both on horseback, tied forty three year old
- 35:47Speaker 1: Donald Healy's hands behind him and held the end of
- 35:49Speaker 1: a rope and walked in between the two horses like
- 35:51Speaker 1: a slave. Donald Neely's family says he's mentally ill and
- 35:54Speaker 1: often sleeps on the street. In fact, he was only
- 35:56Speaker 1: being arrested for trespassing and then he was let go.
- 35:59Speaker 1: A video of him rated down the street went viral. Finally,
- 36:03Speaker 1: it's ride like the wind day. So do what you
- 36:04Speaker 1: gotta do. Now, back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 36:07Speaker 1: You're listening to Harvey Morning Show time for Junior Sports
- 36:12Speaker 1: Talk Junior. What's up with the Cowboys? How about those Cowboys?
- 36:16Speaker 1: Huh oh, let's go. I know you've been out the country.
- 36:20Speaker 1: You know you've been on vacation. You probably don't know,
- 36:22Speaker 1: but das Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott does still does
- 36:26Speaker 1: not have a contract, and he's just been kicking in
- 36:28Speaker 1: Cowboy Mexico like here a handle job. It's amazing that
- 36:31Speaker 1: Uncle Steve but on vacation the same amount of time
- 36:35Speaker 1: Zike is gone. He ain't even think about coming back
- 36:39Speaker 1: in Zeke has been holdime, let me ask you a question, junior.
- 36:42Speaker 1: Whatever it's his contract, I mean, he's just asking for
- 36:47Speaker 1: a new contract. Is what's his contract up? And he
- 36:50Speaker 1: renegotiating Now he has two years sit out and force
- 36:54Speaker 1: him to reading the coach exactly. He has two years
- 36:56Speaker 1: left on his contract, two years in about thirteen dollars left,
- 37:01Speaker 1: and he want a whole new deal. And he want
- 37:02Speaker 1: to be paid as the highest running back in the league,
- 37:05Speaker 1: which I feel he should be. Oh because he led
- 37:08Speaker 1: the League of Russia the last three years. Now, let
- 37:10Speaker 1: me just say this, I just because I liked Ezekiel Elliott.
- 37:15Speaker 1: I just want to make sure he learns from bail Yeah,
- 37:20Speaker 1: bail Levian bail up in Pittsburgh. He sat out a year,
- 37:26Speaker 1: he lost thirteen million dollars. You never get thirteen million back.
- 37:32Speaker 1: Then the next year he got his money. But he
- 37:35Speaker 1: sat out a year and lost thirteen million. So I
- 37:39Speaker 1: hope he learned that lesson from him. Don't don't sit
- 37:42Speaker 1: out a whole year and not make no money. I'm
- 37:46Speaker 1: not understanding of that. But you know, they had offered
- 37:51Speaker 1: Levion a certain big check to play and he didn't play.
- 37:55Speaker 1: And the money he got when he did go back
- 37:57Speaker 1: to play, yeah, I think it was not what he
- 38:00Speaker 1: thought it would leverage out to be. So I hope
- 38:03Speaker 1: Zeke will gets it together. It seemed like really cool, dude,
- 38:05Speaker 1: what even crazy? Because Dallas Cowboy owner Jerry Jones, he
- 38:11Speaker 1: said he was joking when um, he said Zeke who?
- 38:17Speaker 1: Because the backup running back Pollard had a really good
- 38:19Speaker 1: game against the Rams, and so they asked him about Zeke.
- 38:24Speaker 1: He said, Zeke who. Wow, he had a good game
- 38:28Speaker 1: against the Rams in preseason. In preseason, Yeah, the backup
- 38:32Speaker 1: running back Polka, well yeah, people tackling, yeah, ignorant. A
- 38:49Speaker 1: regular team wasn't tackling Pollard with them fives and eights
- 38:58Speaker 1: on their jersey. Yeah yeah, you got a lowback with
- 39:04Speaker 1: no seventeen tackle. Yeah you got tackled by wide receiver.
- 39:10Speaker 1: They try it out at safety. All right, thank you.
- 39:17Speaker 1: Coming up at thirty four after the hour. Georgia Mom.
- 39:20Speaker 1: A Georgia mom creates a job fair for her kids
- 39:23Speaker 1: to earn money. We're gonna talk about that right after this.
- 39:26Speaker 1: You're listening show. Well, parents are always trying to teach
- 39:32Speaker 1: their kids about money and the value of things. You
- 39:34Speaker 1: know how we do that as parents, and one mom
- 39:36Speaker 1: in Georgia has come up with one of the best
- 39:39Speaker 1: ideas we've heard. Her name is Shakeitha Marion McGregor. She
- 39:44Speaker 1: shared the clever plan she came up with for her
- 39:46Speaker 1: kids to earn allowance in a Facebook post where it's
- 39:50Speaker 1: gone viral. Shakeitha McGregor writes that her children continue to
- 39:53Speaker 1: ask for a new cell phone and allowance and to
- 39:56Speaker 1: go places, so she surprised them with a job fair.
- 40:01Speaker 1: She put up flowers, She put up flyers advertising the
- 40:04Speaker 1: hiring event, offering them jobs so they could earn the
- 40:08Speaker 1: money themselves for all the things they want. The mom
- 40:11Speaker 1: offered positions including a kitchen manager, lead housekeeper, and laundry supervisor,
- 40:18Speaker 1: and she even printed out application forms and held interviews
- 40:22Speaker 1: with their kids. She writes, if you want it, work
- 40:25Speaker 1: for it, earn it. I love that idea. I love
- 40:28Speaker 1: that idea. Let me ask you, Steve, what clever ways?
- 40:31Speaker 1: Huh have you have you done anything like this? Yeah?
- 40:34Speaker 1: That is yes, it really are. Yeah, lead housekeeper, kitchen manager.
- 40:42Speaker 1: It's sort of strange because it's difficult, you know, when
- 40:49Speaker 1: you raise your kids and they kind of have a
- 40:52Speaker 1: you know, a better way, better life than one you
- 40:54Speaker 1: had as all of us, do you know? I don't think.
- 40:57Speaker 1: I think most of us as parents want to provide
- 40:59Speaker 1: a life for our that's better than the ones they had.
- 41:02Speaker 1: And at the same time, in my position, I have
- 41:05Speaker 1: to make them respect money and make them earn it. Um.
- 41:11Speaker 1: So it's kind of tough. Uh. I Basically just what
- 41:15Speaker 1: I do with my son's is I just threatened them
- 41:18Speaker 1: a lot. You know, that's how you teach them about money. Yeah,
- 41:25Speaker 1: about what, dad? Dad? Can I talk to you about what? Dad?
- 41:35Speaker 1: I was having some problems about what well my car
- 41:40Speaker 1: note okay? Cool? Yeah? No, no, and getting and asked
- 41:45Speaker 1: me again to see what happened. I don't even I
- 41:47Speaker 1: don't even let it go. No further, Wow, my daughters
- 41:50Speaker 1: is totally different, totally different. But do you teach your
- 41:56Speaker 1: daughters about money? You know? You know what I'm saying. No,
- 41:59Speaker 1: I uh, you know what I fail to let some man. Yeah,
- 42:10Speaker 1: I failed miserably as a father teaching my daughters about money. Uh.
- 42:17Speaker 1: Morgan has gotten a grip on it, though she's mastered it. Uh.
- 42:23Speaker 1: Brandy called it pretty self sufficient, so I don't really
- 42:27Speaker 1: have to wary U. Laurie has a career, so I
- 42:34Speaker 1: don't really you know, it's them damn boys? Is uh
- 42:42Speaker 1: brings you back? Basically spoil Well, yeah, I got my
- 42:46Speaker 1: sons on starvation program. What I don't see the good life.
- 42:51Speaker 1: But I don't let them touch the good starvation program.
- 42:56Speaker 1: But they don't have jobs. No, I'm kidding. You know.
- 43:01Speaker 1: All of my kids, man, are really really hard workers.
- 43:07Speaker 1: You know, they really are you Yeah, yeah, you know.
- 43:12Speaker 1: I'll admit though. It's been tougher for my sons though,
- 43:15Speaker 1: because it's almost like they've been in my shadow so long,
- 43:20Speaker 1: and it's tougher for them because they trying to figure
- 43:22Speaker 1: out so much. How do they take care of themselves,
- 43:25Speaker 1: how do they take care of woman? You know, and
- 43:28Speaker 1: they trying to figure it out, and I'm a lot
- 43:30Speaker 1: more forceful with them and to get your life together business.
- 43:34Speaker 1: So it's kind of been tough, I'll admit, because you know,
- 43:36Speaker 1: who your father is does affect you in a way.
- 43:39Speaker 1: But I think they've done a good job of hamlet
- 43:41Speaker 1: you know. They remain humble and uh you know, they
- 43:44Speaker 1: work hard, and I think they're all getting it now,
- 43:47Speaker 1: finding their way, and I'm happy about that. So let's
- 43:50Speaker 1: be honest. That's that's how I really feel. Okay, all right,
- 43:54Speaker 1: all right, okay, you know, just a little deepness. I'll
- 44:01Speaker 1: get back to England on the next break, but we
- 44:04Speaker 1: know it won't be long, so you got to go deep.

- 53:50Speaker 1: hold on tight, We got it for you. Here. It
- 53:52Speaker 1: is the Strawberry Letter, subject my best friend like sexy strangers.
- 53:58Speaker 1: Dear Stephen, Shirley. I am a thirty three year old
- 54:01Speaker 1: single woman and my best friend is a thirty two
- 54:04Speaker 1: year old wild woman. She works as a bartender and
- 54:07Speaker 1: she uses her job as a way to hit on guys,
- 54:09Speaker 1: and most of them are in their mid twenties. She
- 54:12Speaker 1: also has sex with these guys. She says that guys
- 54:15Speaker 1: our age can't keep up with her, so she sticks
- 54:18Speaker 1: with the twenty somethings because they are great in bed.
- 54:22Speaker 1: I try not to judge her, but her sex life
- 54:24Speaker 1: is a big problem for me because she always uses
- 54:27Speaker 1: my guest room to hook up with these random men.
- 54:30Speaker 1: She lives with her brother, so she can't go to
- 54:33Speaker 1: her house, and she doesn't want to go to these
- 54:36Speaker 1: guys places because she does not know them. Instead, she
- 54:39Speaker 1: wants to bring strangers into my house. It started off
- 54:42Speaker 1: as a one time thing, but now it's more frequent.
- 54:45Speaker 1: She has a key to my house, so I could
- 54:48Speaker 1: be sleep when she comes in, and the next morning
- 54:50Speaker 1: I can tell that she's been there. I told her
- 54:53Speaker 1: that I do not approve of her using my house
- 54:55Speaker 1: for sex, but she said, if I'm truly her friend,
- 54:58Speaker 1: I would trust her judge dgment and let her have
- 55:01Speaker 1: a little fun not to mention the fact that she's
- 55:04Speaker 1: putting me in danger while she's living out her wild,
- 55:07Speaker 1: crazy sex fantasies. All of the guys are in great
- 55:10Speaker 1: physical shape and are very handsome, So I think she
- 55:14Speaker 1: is just caught up on the fact that she can
- 55:16Speaker 1: still pull younger men. She's filling some kind of void
- 55:20Speaker 1: in her life, and she may have some deeper issues
- 55:23Speaker 1: going on. She told me that she hates that there's
- 55:26Speaker 1: a double standard when women hook up with multiple men.
- 55:29Speaker 1: I want to talk to her without signing to preachy.
- 55:32Speaker 1: What should I do? Okay, I gotta tell you right
- 55:35Speaker 1: off the bat that this is your fault. I mean,
- 55:38Speaker 1: this is really on you. Why because this is your
- 55:41Speaker 1: house and you know the saying your house, your rules.
- 55:45Speaker 1: The problem is you haven't said any rules, no boundaries
- 55:48Speaker 1: in your own home. You're so called best friend. This
- 55:52Speaker 1: wild woman, as you called her, she's taking advantage of you,
- 55:56Speaker 1: and she's doing it in the worst way. A real friend,
- 56:00Speaker 1: any kind of real good friend, they wouldn't do this
- 56:03Speaker 1: to a person, and you shouldn't allow her to do this.
- 56:06Speaker 1: Why are you letting her do this? It's like you're
- 56:08Speaker 1: afraid or something. You say you want to talk to her.
- 56:12Speaker 1: You don't want to sound too preachy. You say you
- 56:14Speaker 1: don't want to judge her, but who cares? This is
- 56:17Speaker 1: your house. I mean, this situation is way beyond and
- 56:22Speaker 1: it's far more serious than you know. You sounding too
- 56:25Speaker 1: preachy and you judging her. You're you're being manipulated by
- 56:28Speaker 1: this best friend of yours. She's using you. She's bringing
- 56:33Speaker 1: random guys into your house. She's putting you, your possessions,
- 56:37Speaker 1: everything in danger here. This is craziness. You have to
- 56:42Speaker 1: tell her to stop that she's done. You have to
- 56:44Speaker 1: tell her no more. She can't do this anymore. It's
- 56:47Speaker 1: not judging her, it's just taking yourself out of harm's way.
- 56:50Speaker 1: You got to get your keys back, or you got
- 56:53Speaker 1: to change the locks and tell her it is over,
- 56:56Speaker 1: plain and simple, Steve, this letter crazy. Here's a thirty
- 57:04Speaker 1: three year old single woman. Her best friend is thirty
- 57:07Speaker 1: two years old. She's a wild woman. She works as
- 57:10Speaker 1: a bartender, and she used her job to hit on dudes.
- 57:14Speaker 1: And most of the dude she hitting on is in
- 57:16Speaker 1: the twenties. And then you say in the letter she
- 57:19Speaker 1: also had sex with these guys, well, damn, and the
- 57:27Speaker 1: guys she used her job as a way to hit
- 57:33Speaker 1: on guys, most of them is in the twenties. And
- 57:37Speaker 1: she also had sex with these guys. What she say,
- 57:43Speaker 1: the guys I age? Can't keep up with her? Y'all?
- 57:47Speaker 1: Fatty three? What fetty three year old dude can't keep
- 57:52Speaker 1: up with you? What is you doing in there? Are
- 57:56Speaker 1: you doing in? Now? Down a thirty three? You old
- 58:00Speaker 1: man can't keep up with that's prime time thirty three?
- 58:07Speaker 1: Oh lord them glory days. Yes, seeing your twenties. Hear
- 58:13Speaker 1: what she don't know? In your twenties. Oh, you can
- 58:17Speaker 1: go a lot of times, but the quality just stint there.
- 58:22Speaker 1: It's just I'm sorry, yeah, but you you you you
- 58:26Speaker 1: make up for it in repetition, get your brown okay,
- 58:33Speaker 1: hold up my bed. And then the next time, which
- 58:36Speaker 1: is about fifteen minutes later, then this get okay? All right?
- 58:43Speaker 1: So that I was focused. Yeah, this is how long
- 58:47Speaker 1: it takes. This is a twenty and then a third
- 58:51Speaker 1: time he gonna he get a little run in. But
- 58:55Speaker 1: now you tired of his ages. Now you in your
- 58:58Speaker 1: thirties and you ran up into a man to keep
- 59:00Speaker 1: up can't keep up with you? What in the world
- 59:03Speaker 1: are you in that doing? What is who you work for?
- 59:08Speaker 1: Circle late? What what you do? You had? Circles? Old?
- 59:13Speaker 1: Let are you the lady diving in the champagne glass?
- 59:17Speaker 1: Come about the other side? What did you do? What
- 59:21Speaker 1: did you do? Did you diving out the window onto
- 59:23Speaker 1: the ground and then coming back up the steps? And
- 59:26Speaker 1: how you back in the living room? Ask neck what
- 59:28Speaker 1: is you doing? You try not to judge her, but
- 59:35Speaker 1: the sex life is starting to be a problem for
- 59:38Speaker 1: you because she always uses your guest room to hook
- 59:42Speaker 1: up with these random men. I don't understand. Is she
- 59:45Speaker 1: her roommate, No, she has her own place. She lives
- 59:48Speaker 1: with her brother, Steve. But she got her place, she
- 59:52Speaker 1: lived with her brother, But she brings these men to
- 59:55Speaker 1: your house and use your guest room with these random
- 59:58Speaker 1: men cause she don't want to go to these guys
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: places because she don't know him. Right, all right, listen,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: hold that thought right there, Steve, Yeah, hold that thought.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: We'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: twenty three after the hour today. Subject my best friend
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: like sexy strangers? Who will have part two coming up
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening morning show, All right, Steve,
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: Let's recap today's Strawberry letters. Subject to my best friend
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: like sexy strangers. Okay, here's a recap. Thirty three year
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: old woman got just thirty year old thirty two old
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: friends while she hook up with me is at her
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: at me and at her job because she's a barten
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: and she has sex with him. Now she lives with
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: her brother, but she like younger men called thirty three
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: year old can't keep up with hers, so we don't
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: know what the hell she in here doing. She's some
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: title something going on. I don't know what she's doing,
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: but she got something going on. Where if a thirty
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: three year old can keep up with you, you damn much.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: You need to go sit your ass down somewhere because
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: you're doing two damn much. Now here's the problem. She
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: lives with her brother, so she uses this other girl's
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: guest room to hook up with these random men. I
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: don't understand that she don't want to go to these
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: guys places because she don't know them. Well, you don't
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: know him at her at your house either. See, she
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: don't want to look up with these random guys at
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: that place because she don't know them. So she bring
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: these same people she don't know into your house because
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: she gotta key. She don't live there. She just used
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: your house. This don't make no sense. It started off
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: as a one time thing, but now it's more frequent.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: She has a key to my house, so I could
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: be sleep when she comes in, and the next morning
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: I can tell she's been in there. Hell, you can
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: tell her she's been in there that night. You ain't
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: gotta wait to Marty. They're in the guest room. And
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: if she doing this stuff where thirty three can't keep up?
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: You're hearing something. How many times she didn't broke the
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: dough knog? See, you ain't here doing stuff? How many
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: times have you had to remodel your guests room? You're
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: walking up? Yeah, she told me about I walking in
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: the morning, I can tell that they've been in here.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: Who had the curtains is down? She told her. Curtains
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: off the wall, the flash screens on the floor, the bathroom.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: Don't want her to hedges to fell off. She in
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: that doing stuff what thirty three year old can't keep up.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: You've told her that you don't approve of her using
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: your house for sex, But she says, if I'm truly
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: her friend, I would trust her judgment and let her
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: have a little fun. She ain't got no judgment. She crazy.
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: And let me tell you something else too before we
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: get out of here. This ain't your house. This is brothel.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: Oh see, this is not your house. This is a brothel.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: And you don't have no say so. You ain't even
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: making money at your broth. This is crazy. And she
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: caught up from the fact that she can still pull
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: younger men. You're not When you get a dude to
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: come home with you, you ain't pulling nobody they're coming.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: You have a fact. You ain't even got the pull
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: a dude. We're going. Yeah. See when you're pulling people,
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: that mean you're using game to get them to go
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: with you. I pull this chick at the club. When
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: you bring a man out the club, you didn't pull him. Yeah,
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: he volunteered. He got the call. Old you, you ain't
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: got the pull. We have to call like a dog
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: sitting in the back seat waiting on the owner to
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: come out. You didn't pull him. She's feeling some kind
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: of void in her life, and she may have some
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: deeper issues going on the issue. Ain't that deep? She skank?
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: That ain't deep. Skanks ain't deep. Ain't skanks his shallow.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: Oh y'all want to go along with that? Oh no,
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: I'm with you. I'm with you? Yeah? Oh what what?
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: That term was too much? There's other terms now. I
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: tried the one that was fifty morning show format, rhyme
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: with stank, rhyme with stank. So I'm just trying to
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: figure out why I ain't getting no amen's in here?
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: Am y'all know y'all wouldn't have it at your house
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: helf of bringing these men over time, she told me
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: she hates that there's a double standard when women hook
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: up with multiple men. You hate it. We didn't make
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: the rules. These rules been in places the beginning of time.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: This double standards is not a new rule. My daddy
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: told my sisters a long time ago when I was
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: a little boy. I heard him tell him, you can't
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: do what I do and still be a lady. Period.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: That rule is true. Now, the fact that you hate
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: and you want to change the double standard, the double
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: standard is not going to change. And let me tell
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: you why, because if you sleep with multiple men and
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: we find out about it, we have a name for
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: you and it ain't your last name. So now what
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: you want us to do. I'm sorry now I want
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: to talk to her without sounding the two preachy? What
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: should I do? You got to sound preachy? But I
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: agree with Shirley one. Why she using your house? Change
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: the lock? See, that's how you stop somebody so when
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: you're in there sleep, she can't walk in on you.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: Nobody should have your key that can walk in on
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: you while you sleep with strangers in your house. Man
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: to hell with her her friend. You wouldn't judge her
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: crazy ass here with all these dudes from the damn
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: Club in their twenties, that's fooling here. And you know
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: they ain't just leaving. You know he didn't eat a sandwich.
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: I'm in here trying to save my money for college,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: and you're asking that make the sandwiches with this big
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: twenty year old dude that work out at the gym
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: all day long. He comes to the clip with a
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: tight T shirt on in a damn chain. All right, stee,
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: we gotta get out of here. Post your comments sitting
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: up in here making sandwiches on the Strawberry Letter it's
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: hell out, or on Facebook it's Steve Harvey FM. And
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: don't forget making a sandwich. The Struwberry Letter podcast Undermand
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: coming up in twenty comes down. You're gonna stop making
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: sandwiches in there? How many times you go? Flash? Coming
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: up in forty six after the hour from the Talk,
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: It's our girls, Cheryl Underwood. Right after this, you're listening
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: Sheryl Underwood. Welcome back. Stay well, you've been back, but
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: this first time I get touch. Thank you, baby good.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: I'm just so happy. What's what? Okay, let me stop talking,
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: Let me get to what I'm really gonna talk about. Listen. Uh,
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: we just the mother Land, the mother Land. Let me
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: shout out the sixteen nineteen project. You know, people need
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: to understand the true origin. Uh. And Steve went to Ghana.
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: I went to Ghana. We know what's talking about. We'll
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: talk about that a little bit later. But wait, right now,
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: this is why I want to talk about Sherylan Collins.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: So the Rock, the Rock get married right, Yeah, And
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: brawls is falling out Tommy Junior, like you had a shot. Brawls.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: It is falling out like you had a shot at
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: the Rock. The Rock was. It's the same way the
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: brawls falling out when Eagel's Elba married his gal and
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: they was on Vote magazine. Like, you had a shot
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: at Eagels. Now that's not gonna happen a girl. Yeah,
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: but sometimes you need to be more realistic than your dreams.
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: Your dreams need to be local. Your dreamed you to
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: be grocery store areas and around the corners and stuff. Yeah.
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: Look look at the dude in the next cubicle next.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: See you stop dreaming me far you get your face
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: crack right, you see where I'll be looking. I look
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: right over at Junior. See that's what you ain't never
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: heard me. I wish I could day. You know, I
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: got to crush on El DeBras. But my main idea
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: is Junior right over the sad staying on the job.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: A lot of brauns looking all sad and missed. You
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: think it wasn't you didn't have no shot at all.
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: Oh wait. The other thing is how are we beefing
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: over chicken? Because somebody explaining that to me. Okay, so
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: Chick fil A is supposed to be the originator of
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: the chicken sandwich, right, Okay, they're supposed to make the
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: chicken which which I believe it was the black man
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: at work at a chicken place and he was he
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: had to hurry up and he had to go to
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: night service at church, and he fried a piece of
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: chicken and he put it between two slices of bread.
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: Some houtseuse. So that's the original chicken sound. That's what
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: I'm talking about. Calling that about so Chick fil A
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: talking back against I think the windy somebody made Popepey
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: Popeyes made the chicken sound with it, and then try
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: to act like we made the chicken sal Then Chicken
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: fil A jumped in it. Then then Wendy jumped in it.
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: Then Popeyes say something about being thirsty. You know you
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: must have ate one of our biscuits because you sound thirsty, right,
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: and then somebody else come back, I think it was
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: Wendy came back and say that's because your biscuits is dry. Now,
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: when when did the fast food chicken restaurant starts seeing
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: street people? I love a good out of these streets,
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: out of these streets. I'm loving it all right. We
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: got coming up at the time of the hour. Sheryl
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: called People's fund Me, Stay call out, Call Reality Update
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: Up Neck you're listening to Steve Morning Show. All right,
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: come on, Tommy, let's go y'all ready? Yeah, yeah, all right,
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: let's go buckle up and hold on tight. She is
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: here Colin Farrell with what reality Update? Thank you, nephew.
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: I'm wow. This ought to be good. Yes, Steve, I'm
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: gonna switch it up and talk about Basketball Wives. Yes, child,
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: Chris girl, Hell yeah, yes show. I love it when
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: he gets involved. All right, so listen, Steven, I've been
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: watching this Basketball Wives. That's my show. So there's some
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: tension between Evelyn and Jennifer, but they kind of squashed
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: and there pitching them tension. Yeah, there was some tension
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: Jennifer Basketball Wives. Jennifer back, Yeah, Jennifer bad Steve, Yes,
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: and messier than ever. Yes, she's back. And then Malaysia.
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: She's trying to mend the issues with her cousin. You know,
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: former NBA head coach Byron Scott. He's on the show
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: basketball Wise because Malaysia. One of the women on the
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: show is his cousin. So there's family. Yes, Yes, the
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: Byron number two gods talking about the shooting god my dog. Yes,
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: basketball yes, oh hell, that's the drama right there. So yeah,
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: he's engaged and his son, his son's wife, Kristen, they
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: are beefing with his fiance. So there's a lot of
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: family drama. One of the other wide, one of the
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: other basketball castmate members, she's in it and it's messy.
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: And even Shanny and Evelyn told her. This cast mate
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: her name is Og. They told her, you need to
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: get out their family business because you ain't real deep
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: and you need to get out to get out of
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: One of the basketball wives name is Og. Yes, oh yeah, okay,
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: So moving on, No, j Calla, please get to Jackie.
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: Chris Steven so he watched this show. Yeah, so let's
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: move forward. So then Kristen, she threw this nineties roller
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: skating party. So rumors were going out about Malaysia, and
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: there were some rumors about her and her children, just
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: nasty rumors that they said that Jennifer and her friend
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: were spreading about Malaysia, and Jackie had repeated these rumors.
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: Jackie Christie, Doug Christie's wife, what Shay, let me tell you.
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: They got to the skating rig, Malaysia couldn't breathe because she,
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: like Moore up here talking about my kids. This girl
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: had to was hyperventilating. They said, oh lord, they started
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: taking the skates off. They had to dress like they
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: were in the nineties. Wait, listen the nineties steam not
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: Why thought you said she was hyperventilating, couldn't breathe, And
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: I went with here she ninety trying to skate. So
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: they were dressed up like characters from the nineties, like
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: Evelyn was dressed up as peg Bundy from the nineties,
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: you know, the Love and Marriage Show. Anyway, they ain't
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: got nothing to do to listen, listen, So Malaysia got
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: ready to confront Jackie Christie about what she'd been saying
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: about hr and her kids, baby that Jackie Christie dragged
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: the table chess at the skating rink. Jackie Christie said,
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: y'all want some Jackie Christie crazy, I got it for you.
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: Doug Christie's if Jackie Christie is off the Shane he's
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: on the other side of crazy. Yes she is. And finally,
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: let me say this, Shack has been on the show too,
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: And I think, yes, Shack trying to get back with
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: shiny Hard with his wife. Yes, yes, so Shack is
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: on the show. So we'll see. So if you want

- 1:19:34Speaker 1: Morning show all right, coming up our last break of
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: the day and some closing remarks from Steve Harvey on
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: the way at forty nine minutes after the hour, right
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: after this you're listening to show, all right, Steve, Here
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: we are our last break of the day on this Thursday,
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: and it's been a good day. So take us home
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: with some good closing remarks like you always do. Well.
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: I don't know if I always do Shirley, you do
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: you do something here? Yeah, okay, I appreciate your modesty.
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: But let me say this. On my vacation this year,
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: I was working through a lot of things, and so, uh,
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: you know, look you are when you constantly striving to
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: get better, to be better, to become more successful, to
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: create more opportunity or happiness for your family or for yourself, Um,
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: you're gonna be faced with opposition. So one of the
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: things that I decided to help me, because there's already
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: gonna be presented so much opposition on your road to success,
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: I've decided to remove as much negativity from my life
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: that I'm actually able to control. Now, you can't control
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: other people, but you can't control yourself, and so the
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: best place for me to start, I discover it as
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: I've always known, but I kind of reinforced it over
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: the break, was to start with my own self. And
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: I decided to be much more positive in my approach
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: to everything, because positivity is you can bathe in it
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: and it will just help you in your overall It's
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: something that you can't be a positive person here but
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: a negative person over there. You become a positive person,
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: you normally take a positive outlook. If you're an optimistic person,
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: you take an optimistic approach to most things. If you're
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: a negative person, then you take a negative approach to
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: most things. Have you ever came up with a good
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: idea and shared it with a friend and no matter
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: what you say, it wasn't right. Have you ever taken
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: an idea to somebody you know and every time you
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: give them the idea, there's a problem with it. I
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: ran up into a quote from Albert Einstein and it said,
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: stay away from negative people. They have a problem for
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: every solution. Stay away from negative people. They have a
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: problem for every solution. And I read that and I
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: started thinking in my life. I said, man, do I
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: have people in my life like that? And there is one.
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: There's just one person, man who you know, we're not friends,
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: but we're associates and we have to do some business
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: dealings together. But every time I talk to them, it's
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: a guy. Every time I come up with a solution,
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: he got a problem with the solution. I'm pretty sure
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: if you take inventory in your life, you'll find that
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: you have someone like that in your circle. So, you
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: know what, I decided to do this summer. I can't
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: stop him from being the way he is, but I
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: don't have to allow that into my circle. He don't
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: have to be a part of my day to day.
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: So around in July, I removed him. Now, we normally
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: talk once a week, but I stopped in July. And
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: so what I did was I just blocked his email
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: because a little business we do it ain't worth the
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: headache that I have to deal with with this guy.
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: It's just not worth the drama or the little antics
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: that he does all the time that I constantly have
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: to address. So I blocked him from my email and
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: I blocked his contact. And you know what, I don't
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: miss him. You know what, if you move a negative
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: from your life, you won't miss it. As a matter
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: of fact, you'll feel lighter. So I just removed him
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: from my world. So look, if I'm gonna take a
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: more positive approach and control my thinking much better and say, okay, Steve, listen, man,
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: we're gonna stop speaking negative. We're gonna stop this negative energy.
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna stop allowing people in my space to create negativity.
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: I'm just gonna stay as positive as I can. Now
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: I'm human, So from time to time, I do drift
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: off because you can't help it. You know, sometimes you're
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: just gonna get on the subject and and you're gonna
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: start thinking negative thoughts or you're gonna start saying negative things.
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: Just because you get off the positive path don't mean
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: you have to stay there. So when you make a
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: mistake and you get off and you find yourself, well
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: you're talking about somebody with one of your friends, just
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: pull up, catch yourself and go okay, my bad, let
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: the conversation in and start fresh. I just decided to
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: do that this summer, that I was just going to
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: become just an overall more positive person, and I'm gonna
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: speak more positive things into existence in my life. Tongue
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: is very powerful, very very powerful. So as I look
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: at my life, that's the new approach that I've taken.
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: And so I've decided to excommunicate all negative people from
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: my life. So here's the announcement that I like to
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: make in my closing remarks. If you have my email
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: address and you're a negative person, stop emailing me. If
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: you're a negative person and you have my cell phone number,
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: do yourself a favor and don't call me, because I've
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: already blocked you. You've probably noticed when you try to
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: reach me that you can't get through. So all negative people,
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: I'm done. I invite all of you to join in.
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: Get rid of the negativity, stay on the positive course,
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: and your life will be a lot smooth. Thank you
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: very much. Those are my closing remarks. You out bounce,
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: all right, we have a great weekend. See that was good.
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: Right there, that was good. Drop the mic, baby, drop
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: it in the flow. I love that. Just don't tell
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: them right now. By Charles. For all Steve Harvey contests,
