- 0:05Speaker 1: know y'all at all at all, So.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Don't given them back.
- 0:15Speaker 1: A million bus busy.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Yeah, listening to to.
- 0:38Speaker 3: Don't Joy? Yeah, Joy?
- 0:58Speaker 4: You don't.
- 1:01Speaker 5: Turn out? Turn you gotta turn.
- 1:31Speaker 6: I can't.
- 1:40Speaker 1: I got to turn the mouth.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Turn You probably got to turn the mouth, turn out,
- 1:46Speaker 3: turn the water the.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Mony up, looking me, come come out. You'll think that
- 2:02Speaker 1: I sure will. Good morning everybody.
- 2:04Speaker 7: You're listening to the voice, Come on dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 7: one and only Steve Harvey. I got a radio show.
- 2:12Speaker 7: Real grateful for that. You know, it's funny. I remember
- 2:14Speaker 7: when I first started out in the radio. A lot
- 2:17Speaker 7: of my peers laughed at me. Some of it was
- 2:20Speaker 7: being mean spirited, some of it was just you know,
- 2:23Speaker 7: mocking me. I'm used to stuff like that. But I
- 2:27Speaker 7: had a special guest on my show, Joe Oldstein, and
- 2:30Speaker 7: you know something, man, he said something that was I
- 2:34Speaker 7: can't remember the scripture. I don't know exactly how it well,
- 2:36Speaker 7: like we were having a long conversation, but the gist
- 2:39Speaker 7: of it was, don't be upset with where you are now,
- 2:43Speaker 7: and don't be upset with the small things in your life.
- 2:46Speaker 7: Be grateful for the small things and the small position
- 2:49Speaker 7: that you have right now, because you don't know where
- 2:51Speaker 7: that's going. You don't know what that's gonna be one day.
- 2:54Speaker 7: You don't know what that's gonna lead to. And that
- 2:56Speaker 7: was very warming to hear him say that. But it
- 3:00Speaker 7: also reminded me of when I started in radio, how
- 3:03Speaker 7: small it was. It reminded me of when I started
- 3:06Speaker 7: in stand up making twenty five dollars a show. It
- 3:09Speaker 7: reminds me of not having a home at a period
- 3:13Speaker 7: in my life and what God has allowed me to
- 3:17Speaker 7: live in now. So don't be distraught over your position now,
- 3:22Speaker 7: and don't be ungrateful or unappreciative for the things you
- 3:26Speaker 7: have now because you don't know what that's going to
- 3:28Speaker 7: grow into. And that's really the gist of that I
- 3:30Speaker 7: got from what he was saying. I just wanted to
- 3:32Speaker 7: share that with you, that where you are now is
- 3:36Speaker 7: so temporary because now, like I've said before, now is
- 3:39Speaker 7: a fleeting moment. Right after you finished saying now, that
- 3:43Speaker 7: moment that you claimed as now, that's gone. So the
- 3:46Speaker 7: where you are now is a very fleeting process. Now
- 3:50Speaker 7: you can change where you are now, and you can
- 3:53Speaker 7: change how you feel about where you're at now, and
- 3:56Speaker 7: you can change about where you're going by simply changing
- 4:01Speaker 7: your mind.
- 4:02Speaker 1: It is no difference.
- 4:03Speaker 7: I'm telling you, folks, the thing that I've learned about
- 4:07Speaker 7: successful people is not so much of what they do.
- 4:11Speaker 7: It's not what they have. The biggest thing I've learned
- 4:14Speaker 7: about successful people is how they think. That's the thing
- 4:19Speaker 7: that's different. It's how they think. And I'm telling you
- 4:23Speaker 7: that you can change the way you think on any
- 4:26Speaker 7: subject and start becoming successful towards that. Starting now, you
- 4:33Speaker 7: have to understand that. Man, the biggest difference I've noticed
- 4:37Speaker 7: between successful people and non successful people is how they think.
- 4:42Speaker 7: I was reading what is God said that he was
- 4:46Speaker 7: taught all wrong about money. He said that his father
- 4:50Speaker 7: was very negative about money. He all throughout his life
- 4:53Speaker 7: he heard his father say, you know, people who got
- 4:56Speaker 7: money have walked on somebody to get it, or cheated
- 4:59Speaker 7: somebody to get it. People who have money, money is
- 5:02Speaker 7: the root of all evil. Money is money is this,
- 5:05Speaker 7: And people who got money, you know, don't deserve it.
- 5:09Speaker 7: They've done something wrong to get it.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Y'a to y'all.
- 5:11Speaker 7: So, he said, he grew up the whole time thinking
- 5:14Speaker 7: that having money was something was wrong with that. He
- 5:17Speaker 7: discovered that it wasn't. Look you can choose to be
- 5:20Speaker 7: successful anywhere you want to. I've chosen several ways to
- 5:23Speaker 7: be successful. I want to be a very, very successful father.
- 5:27Speaker 7: I think that's one of the things that's paramount in
- 5:30Speaker 7: my life that I really am working hard right now
- 5:34Speaker 7: to become a successful father. Not a successful father in
- 5:38Speaker 7: terms of money, but a successful father in terms of
- 5:42Speaker 7: offering the amount of love and guidance and leadership and
- 5:46Speaker 7: the example that my children need to look at. That's
- 5:50Speaker 7: what I'm really really working hard at now. I want
- 5:52Speaker 7: to be successful as a father, but also I want
- 5:56Speaker 7: to be successful as a husband.
- 5:58Speaker 1: You know.
- 5:58Speaker 7: I want Marjorie to always know that she can count
- 6:00Speaker 7: on me, to not have to wonder about me or
- 6:03Speaker 7: look for me.
- 6:04Speaker 1: You know.
- 6:05Speaker 7: I want her to feel secure in the fact that
- 6:08Speaker 7: I really have gotten it right, that I really am
- 6:12Speaker 7: focused on being a good husband to her because it
- 6:15Speaker 7: means so much to me, you know. So I'm working
- 6:18Speaker 7: hard on a lot of levels. I'm working hard. I'm
- 6:21Speaker 7: trying very strong to be a successful motivator of people.
- 6:25Speaker 7: I want to be a share of information to people
- 6:28Speaker 7: that will uplift others and give others the same things
- 6:32Speaker 7: that I've learned through the trials and tribulations of my life.
- 6:36Speaker 7: But at the same time share that information and use
- 6:39Speaker 7: the power of this microphone to uplift people, you know,
- 6:42Speaker 7: not to destroy. My show is not about Oh, guess
- 6:45Speaker 7: what so and so said? Guess what so and so did.
- 6:47Speaker 7: I don't like mean spirited things about people, you know.
- 6:50Speaker 7: I joke with people who calling this that's another thing.
- 6:53Speaker 7: But I don't like destroying people with the power of
- 6:55Speaker 7: the microphone. So I'm working very hard on being successful
- 6:58Speaker 7: in a lot of areas of my life now. Also
- 7:00Speaker 7: I do care about being financially successful too, because my father.
- 7:05Speaker 7: One of the gifts he gave me was very simple gift.
- 7:08Speaker 7: He told me a long time ago. He said, son,
- 7:10Speaker 7: the best thing you can do for poor people is
- 7:13Speaker 7: not be one of them. And that stuck with me.
- 7:16Speaker 7: And this was a hard working man who was a
- 7:19Speaker 7: coal miner who worked construction his entire life. My father
- 7:23Speaker 7: didn't have an easy life man. My father didn't sit
- 7:26Speaker 7: behind a microphone. My father didn't come to work and
- 7:29Speaker 7: people cheered for him. My father wasn't famous. My father
- 7:33Speaker 7: was just a go get it, dude, that he instilled
- 7:37Speaker 7: that in me and I've taken that and applied it
- 7:39Speaker 7: to my craft and I thank God for him for that.
- 7:41Speaker 7: But I do try to be financially successful so that
- 7:45Speaker 7: I can do some things with it to help some
- 7:47Speaker 7: other people. Now, am I opposed to having nice things?
- 7:51Speaker 8: No?
- 7:51Speaker 1: Do I apologize for having nice things?
- 7:54Speaker 6: No?
- 7:54Speaker 1: And why should I? I work?
- 7:56Speaker 7: You know, I'm not on the radio asking to give
- 8:00Speaker 7: me money, you know, so I can go buy a car.
- 8:04Speaker 7: I'm working. So I don't feel how you want to feel.
- 8:07Speaker 7: And other people do feel that way about it. But
- 8:09Speaker 7: if success in terms of finance is what you're lacking,
- 8:13Speaker 7: you can go about the business of doing that. I'm
- 8:16Speaker 7: writing a book and that whole book is about teaching
- 8:19Speaker 7: people how to become successful. And man, I'm breaking it
- 8:22Speaker 7: down in a way where everybody can get it, man,
- 8:25Speaker 7: because I want the college student to get it, you know,
- 8:28Speaker 7: I want the working mom to get it, to single
- 8:31Speaker 7: mom to get it. The hard working father that has
- 8:34Speaker 7: been trying to hold his family together can get it.
- 8:36Speaker 7: The father that ain't ever got it together and feel
- 8:39Speaker 7: that because of that reason, he can't be the father
- 8:42Speaker 7: he needs to be. I'm writing something, man, to put
- 8:45Speaker 7: it into words, to let you know that God is
- 8:48Speaker 7: a forgiving God, and that God is a merciful God,
- 8:51Speaker 7: and that God can get you out of any situation
- 8:55Speaker 7: you find yourself in. You just can't beat yourself up
- 8:58Speaker 7: every time you make a mistake. I make mistakes all
- 9:01Speaker 7: the time, man, I just got to remind myself to
- 9:03Speaker 7: get up. I ask God for forgiveness, I call on
- 9:07Speaker 7: his mercy and his grace, and I get up and
- 9:09Speaker 7: I go again. But it's coming, man. And if finance
- 9:12Speaker 7: success is what you want, you got to change your mind.
- 9:15Speaker 7: You got to start thinking about how to produce it.
- 9:19Speaker 7: The first thing you do is you got to ask.
- 9:21Speaker 7: You got to ask to have a life and have
- 9:24Speaker 7: a life more abundantly. That's a scripture that He comes
- 9:28Speaker 7: to you to give you life and to give you
- 9:30Speaker 7: life more abundantly.
- 9:32Speaker 1: That's a scripture. That ain't a joke, that ain't a theory.
- 9:36Speaker 7: That's a fact, and the fact that if you don't
- 9:38Speaker 7: have a life of abundance, you can get that by asking.
- 9:41Speaker 7: Then it starts by believing. And how too, don't even
- 9:44Speaker 7: worry about that. He takes care of that himself. He'll
- 9:47Speaker 7: send the stuff your way, but you got to be
- 9:49Speaker 7: willing to put some effort in this thing now, and
- 9:51Speaker 7: you can do it.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Okay.
- 9:52Speaker 7: I know I was a little around the place today,
- 9:54Speaker 7: but that's what it was. So you know, let's go
- 9:57Speaker 7: get it.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve had morning, ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:02Speaker 7: You know what, at God he did it again, gave
- 10:08Speaker 7: us another one, another glorious day, another opportunity. And I
- 10:12Speaker 7: kid you not, I say this with all seriousness. I'm grateful, man,
- 10:15Speaker 7: I'm really really grateful to God Almighty forgiving me this
- 10:18Speaker 7: thing called life, for every single blessing He's bestowed upon me.
- 10:23Speaker 7: And even when I'm going through something, I want y'all
- 10:25Speaker 7: think about this. When you're going through something, thank you anyway,
- 10:29Speaker 7: because he gonna pull you through it, just like he's
- 10:31Speaker 7: always done. He is absolutely unbelievable at how good and
- 10:39Speaker 7: merciful he is. That's what I want to say this morning.
- 10:42Speaker 7: This is the Steve Harvey, Martiny Shaw, Shelon Strawberry, Colin Farrell, Mississippi,
- 10:46Speaker 7: Monica Jr. And the legend of Nephew Tommy Junior. What's
- 10:50Speaker 7: going on with you today? Little brother?
- 10:52Speaker 4: All right?
- 10:52Speaker 6: Un well?
- 10:53Speaker 9: You know what, man, let me just talk about this,
- 10:55Speaker 9: Managing your expectations. Managing your expectations. You know, you put
- 11:00Speaker 9: a lot of pressure on yourself. You know, we all
- 11:02Speaker 9: do put pressure on ourself. You gotta imagine it is
- 11:05Speaker 9: because sometime when you don't reach that goal, people look
- 11:07Speaker 9: at you differently. They say, you know what I told you,
- 11:09Speaker 9: he wasn't'na be able to do it, or he won't
- 11:10Speaker 9: gonna be able to be this or be that. You know,
- 11:13Speaker 9: so wish how you manage your expectations of you?
- 11:15Speaker 7: Well, the best way to manage your expectations to stop
- 11:18Speaker 7: telling people what they are.
- 11:20Speaker 1: I've had to learn that the hard way.
- 11:23Speaker 7: And surprisingly I still have to learn that lesson, and
- 11:26Speaker 7: I just recently learned it again. As a matter of fact,
- 11:30Speaker 7: over the past six months, I had to relearn that lesson.
- 11:33Speaker 7: Stop telling people your dreams and visions because everybody that's
- 11:39Speaker 7: listening to it ain't with you, and so there's some
- 11:43Speaker 7: counter stuff that people do so that will help you.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Secondly, I don't believe.
- 11:50Speaker 7: In managing my expectations. If I'd of went to God
- 11:55Speaker 7: about it. I try to dream as wildly as I
- 11:58Speaker 7: possibly can. I have some off the chain thoughts when
- 12:03Speaker 7: I'm talking to God, so I'm not managing my expectations.
- 12:08Speaker 7: You know, that's a great term to use for people
- 12:11Speaker 7: to set themselves up for failure.
- 12:13Speaker 1: For me, because that's one thing I've discovered in my life.
- 12:17Speaker 7: You can't receive a positive with the negative approach. Okay,
- 12:21Speaker 7: here's a person has these wow, great, crazy, big, huge ideas.
- 12:27Speaker 7: Now here comes somebody that ain't got none. You need
- 12:29Speaker 7: to manage your expectations, you know what I mean.
- 12:33Speaker 1: So you gotta be careful man with.
- 12:35Speaker 7: Some of these slogans that's out there that are designed
- 12:40Speaker 7: for non successful people, because there are a lot of
- 12:43Speaker 7: regular people that have created slogans that are geared towards
- 12:48Speaker 7: explaining their lack of success or their unwillingness to try.
- 12:53Speaker 1: You know.
- 12:53Speaker 7: And here's one of the biggest ones statistics. Stop looking
- 12:58Speaker 7: at statistics. One out of tea and people become successful.
- 13:02Speaker 7: What you're worried about that when you're trying to be
- 13:04Speaker 7: the one?
- 13:04Speaker 1: Though?
- 13:05Speaker 7: See if you're trying to be one of the successful,
- 13:09Speaker 7: what difference do it make the one out of ten? Well,
- 13:11Speaker 7: guess what, I'm just finna be the one then, So
- 13:14Speaker 7: managing your expectations you gotta be careful with it because
- 13:18Speaker 7: a lot of times it's a set up.
- 13:21Speaker 1: So I don't manage my expectation. Question.
- 13:25Speaker 7: I'm expecting God to do great things. Now I'm gonna
- 13:29Speaker 7: let him manage that.
- 13:34Speaker 1: That's the word.
- 13:35Speaker 10: All right, Thank you guys.
- 13:36Speaker 11: Coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour, we
- 13:38Speaker 11: will hear from the nephew as he runs that brank back.

- 14:32Speaker 1: This right here is edible fruit delivery.
- 14:35Speaker 6: I'm to ask you, ladies, you can tell me when
- 14:37Speaker 6: we come back what y'all want from Valentine?
- 14:39Speaker 1: All right?
- 14:40Speaker 8: Not for me?
- 14:40Speaker 1: Because yeah, yeah, fruit delivery. Yeah, let's go cut up?
- 14:49Speaker 13: Hello, stories, how can I help you? He's not in
- 14:53Speaker 13: right now? How can I help you?
- 14:55Speaker 14: Okay? All right? I'm sorry man. What's your name?
- 14:59Speaker 8: My name is Perkin. I actually have a delivery, edible
- 15:03Speaker 8: fruit delivery for Chad, and I'm trying to make sure
- 15:05Speaker 8: I got the address and everything correct.
- 15:07Speaker 13: Oh who's it from?
- 15:10Speaker 8: I think it's from you? Your name is? What's your name? Kids?
- 15:14Speaker 13: Divina? I didn't order any any edible arrangements?
- 15:17Speaker 14: Okay, it's for Valentine's let me see.
- 15:21Speaker 13: Yeah, that's that's definitely stay a mistake. You sure I
- 15:24Speaker 13: was in? Chad ordered some edible arrangements for me. I
- 15:27Speaker 13: think that's that might make some sense.
- 15:29Speaker 14: It's for Chad.
- 15:30Speaker 8: Okay, here it is.
- 15:31Speaker 14: Who's who's sent this?
- 15:33Speaker 8: Miss the reader? The reader?
- 15:38Speaker 13: Oh no, no, no, no, no, no, no, that's not
- 15:40Speaker 13: me at all. I'm di verna and that is amazing
- 15:44Speaker 13: why she would have sent anything, right, I'm Chad, but
- 15:49Speaker 13: the different persons.
- 15:51Speaker 8: Okay, so do you know Theta Clark who is there?
- 15:54Speaker 13: Oh, that's not someone I associate with personally. That's Chad's
- 15:58Speaker 13: ex wife and that doesn't make any sense for her
- 16:00Speaker 13: to be sending us anything. So you don't you don't
- 16:03Speaker 13: even have.
- 16:04Speaker 8: Said I think she said us. She didn't send it.
- 16:07Speaker 8: She said just the chance she didn't send it to you.
- 16:10Speaker 13: Okay, Well, I'm just gonna let you know. We don't
- 16:12Speaker 13: need that delivery, so thank you anyway, you can go
- 16:15Speaker 13: ahead and to keep that THESSA, hold on, hold.
- 16:19Speaker 8: On, miss make say the right name.
- 16:22Speaker 13: Don't worry, don't don't don't worry too much about that.
- 16:25Speaker 8: If I don't make my deliveries, I don't get paid.
- 16:28Speaker 8: I have to deliver these of this edible fruit, man,
- 16:30Speaker 8: I have to deliver.
- 16:31Speaker 13: It doesn't make any sense. So now just discard it
- 16:33Speaker 13: myself if you if you need to bring it, but
- 16:36Speaker 13: I'm sure I.
- 16:37Speaker 8: Have to bring it. Me. Let me ask you something.
- 16:39Speaker 8: I mean this, lady.
- 16:40Speaker 14: I mean, I'm not trying to pry into anything, but
- 16:43Speaker 14: I mean, have you have you bought him anything for
- 16:45Speaker 14: battle that.
- 16:46Speaker 13: No, I haven't, but I have plenty of timia.
- 16:50Speaker 8: But the egg wiped them about something that don't make
- 16:52Speaker 8: sense to me. Why haven't you bought anything?
- 16:54Speaker 13: All right? I don't think you need to worry about
- 16:56Speaker 13: what I get from my man or what I don't
- 16:57Speaker 13: get from my husband. All right, that's none of your sir.
- 17:00Speaker 14: Well is concerned about making sure he gets something.
- 17:04Speaker 13: I'm sorry, who am I speaking to? My name is Perkins, okay,
- 17:09Speaker 13: and I already told you we don't need no delivery.
- 17:11Speaker 13: I don't need you ask me questions about it. I
- 17:13Speaker 13: told you my marriage. Well, let me tell you I'm
- 17:17Speaker 13: not gonna fight you to fight with you on the
- 17:19Speaker 13: phone when I canna be two fools here arguing I'm
- 17:21Speaker 13: all dress, we don't need anything. You need to be
- 17:27Speaker 13: questioning me about what I do what don't do for
- 17:29Speaker 13: my husband. That's actually none of your god business.
- 17:32Speaker 8: I need to know when mister Chad is gonna be there,
- 17:34Speaker 8: so mister Chad might want.
- 17:35Speaker 13: Don't worry so much about Chad. This is our family business,
- 17:38Speaker 13: family business. I'm his wife. Do you understand what that means?
- 17:41Speaker 14: I'm his wife. I understand that. But evidently his ex
- 17:44Speaker 14: wife wanted him to have his fruit. If you are off,
- 17:49Speaker 14: and I'm not gonna say, I'm not gonna become deliver
- 17:52Speaker 14: nothing you and you're gonna throw it away.
- 17:54Speaker 8: This is Chad's fruit basket.
- 17:56Speaker 13: And this is Angel did send you specifically. I just
- 18:01Speaker 13: want to understand what the hell is going on because
- 18:03Speaker 13: you seem really invested in my husband's ex wife. I

- 22:07Speaker 11: anniversary celebration continues with a concert this Friday. We'll tell
- 22:12Speaker 11: you how you can tune in. And Kanye, did you
- 22:15Speaker 11: guys know this? Kanye spent eight million dollars on a
- 22:18Speaker 11: Super Bowl commercial to offend millions of people. We all
- 22:21Speaker 11: saw it, and our new president's approval rating is up,
- 22:25Speaker 11: believe it or not. That is all coming up, Yeah,
- 22:28Speaker 11: at the top of the hour. But right now it
- 22:31Speaker 11: is time to ask the clo. This is from Nia
- 22:34Speaker 11: in Fayetteville. Nia says, my twelve year old son got
- 22:39Speaker 11: suspended because the female classmates spit on him and he
- 22:42Speaker 11: punted her backpack across the room. Her glasses were in
- 22:46Speaker 11: the bag and they broke and he didn't touch her.
- 22:50Speaker 11: He did not touch her, And the mom says, Nia says,
- 22:54Speaker 11: I think that the girl should be suspended too.
- 22:56Speaker 10: Is she wrong? She wants to know. Am I wrong?
- 23:00Speaker 1: Little girl spit on him?
- 23:01Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 23:02Speaker 1: On him? She should be suspended.
- 23:04Speaker 10: Yeah, for sure.
- 23:06Speaker 7: I applaud the little boy for not spitting back on her,
- 23:09Speaker 7: and I applaud him for not hitting her. Yeah, I
- 23:13Speaker 7: applaud him for that. Yeah, Now I ain't mad at
- 23:16Speaker 7: him for kicking that backpack. Somebody got it just sent right.
- 23:23Speaker 7: Hey man, hellttle boy said, I beat damn So yeah,
- 23:28Speaker 7: I think the little girl should be suspended too. He
- 23:31Speaker 7: would have never kicked the backpack across the room had
- 23:35Speaker 7: she not spit on him exactly. Now, if everybody know
- 23:38Speaker 7: that the little girl spit on him, then where's her suspension? Yeah?
- 23:42Speaker 11: Oh yeah, hello that Yeah, that's not cool at all?
- 23:47Speaker 1: All right? Moving moving on to back though he put
- 23:51Speaker 1: his foot in that backpack, he kicked it like he
- 23:54Speaker 1: was in the NFL. Yeah, boy went all right.
- 24:01Speaker 11: Moving on to Zoe and Denver, Zoey writes, my husband
- 24:05Speaker 11: is not a planner, So I told him that I
- 24:08Speaker 11: made reservations already for Valentine's Day. He accused me of
- 24:12Speaker 11: wanting to go out so I can have pictures to
- 24:14Speaker 11: post on Instagram. Why is he so bothered by stuff
- 24:18Speaker 11: like that? Why can't he just let me be me?
- 24:21Speaker 11: Why is he so bothered? He didn't do anything.
- 24:24Speaker 1: Some people don't like the pretentiousness.
- 24:29Speaker 7: That's caused by you know, you want to fake a
- 24:32Speaker 7: good time, put on the air, you know, make appearances
- 24:37Speaker 7: look this way just for the sake of the gram
- 24:42Speaker 7: And that gets on people's nerves sometimes.
- 24:44Speaker 8: You know.
- 24:45Speaker 10: Yeah, so they got on her nerves that he didn't
- 24:47Speaker 10: plan anything for Valentine's Day.
- 24:49Speaker 1: Well, Valentine's Day Friday.
- 24:51Speaker 7: You ain't even gave him a chance give him, you know,
- 24:55Speaker 7: said no, no, no, no, no.
- 24:57Speaker 1: She said he's not a planner.
- 25:01Speaker 7: So she didn't jump the gun, got this reservation what
- 25:05Speaker 7: she wanted, and all she gonna do is post pictures.
- 25:07Speaker 1: So all of a sudden, what he's changed?
- 25:09Speaker 10: Now he's a planner.
- 25:11Speaker 7: No, I'm not saying he's a planner at all. Yeah,
- 25:14Speaker 7: but come on now, Valentine's Day is few days away.
- 25:19Speaker 7: You ain't gave him a chance to do nothing.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Rump the gun.
- 25:23Speaker 10: She already knows what he's gonna do nothing.
- 25:26Speaker 7: You know what, Shirley, you don't know what she know.
- 25:32Speaker 1: You read the same lines we read.
- 25:35Speaker 10: He's not a planner.
- 25:36Speaker 7: Now me and Tommy is sitting up here together saying
- 25:40Speaker 7: jump the gun.
- 25:43Speaker 1: But see that go the problem?
- 25:46Speaker 7: You assuming this man is not a planner, Maybe he
- 25:48Speaker 7: wasn't planning to go to dinner.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Maybe the man had another plan.
- 25:54Speaker 10: Oh hello, he had another plan. Not a planner.
- 25:58Speaker 1: Okay, but the lady has to wait those shirts. She
- 26:01Speaker 1: gotta gilt time. So you're saying, wait for the holiday.
- 26:05Speaker 1: See what happens. You gotta get your man out on.
- 26:07Speaker 1: That's all it is to what happened. Now, look here.
- 26:11Speaker 7: If he don't plan nothing, and it's Friday and you
- 26:14Speaker 7: at work and you ain't got nothing, right, you can say,
- 26:17Speaker 7: no problem. Tonight at eight o'clock, we don't go. We're
- 26:22Speaker 7: gonna be at Benadtoe.
- 26:23Speaker 10: So whatever it is Italian, No, it's Mexican Italian bened Detos.
- 26:32Speaker 11: I think we've had that before, all right, Moving on
- 26:40Speaker 11: to Ron and Mobile, Ron writes, my ex wife called
- 26:44Speaker 11: to tell me her aunt died. My current wife heard
- 26:47Speaker 11: the whole forty five second call, and she still got mad.
- 26:51Speaker 11: I had to explain how that aunt is responsible for
- 26:54Speaker 11: me getting saved. Am I not supposed to have any
- 26:56Speaker 11: feelings for anyone from my past?
- 26:59Speaker 1: Nope? Not according to your new wife, you ain't. Nope.
- 27:07Speaker 7: I like the way you threw it, and she's just
- 27:09Speaker 7: spiling responsible for me getting saved that's nice.
- 27:13Speaker 1: I appreciate that, brother, that's real good.
- 27:15Speaker 10: Nope, okay, all right, so just let that go.
- 27:24Speaker 1: He can't even go to the funeral.
- 27:25Speaker 7: Yeah, dog, hey, you go down there if you want to.
- 27:31Speaker 7: She gonna be responsible for some other things too, you know.
- 27:36Speaker 7: Now she'd have got you saved.
- 27:38Speaker 10: Uh.
- 27:39Speaker 1: Can he sent flowers? Eh?
- 27:42Speaker 11: Can he go the repass just to just the repair,
- 27:45Speaker 11: just to.
- 27:46Speaker 1: Get a face. Yeah, don't go down there.
- 27:49Speaker 12: That's wrong to go to the repass and not the
- 27:52Speaker 12: funeral to eat late.
- 27:55Speaker 1: That's wrong that the guest of all I ain't gonna know.
- 27:58Speaker 1: You didn't know how.
- 28:01Speaker 7: He really going down there for the aunt? Are you
- 28:04Speaker 7: going down there so everybody can see you down there?
- 28:09Speaker 1: They gonna take pictures of you and post. You know what?
- 28:13Speaker 1: He came in her funeral?
- 28:14Speaker 15: Ain't he married?
- 28:15Speaker 14: Now?
- 28:16Speaker 7: Yeah, let's the old girl, and he came anywhere. Wonder
- 28:20Speaker 7: how he knew she passed?
- 28:23Speaker 1: Okay, you know what? They must still be in contact. Wow,
- 28:31Speaker 1: take a picture do his wife?
- 28:33Speaker 8: No?
- 28:33Speaker 1: She he down exactly? Oh you know too, that's too much,
- 28:38Speaker 1: too much.
- 28:38Speaker 10: Okay, so just cut all ties from the past. Yes,
- 28:46Speaker 10: function like that, all right?
- 28:48Speaker 7: You then he thought because he got saved this would
- 28:51Speaker 7: spare him the regular things like you don't.
- 28:55Speaker 1: It don't.
- 28:58Speaker 10: She took him to know the Lord?
- 28:59Speaker 11: Okay, last one, Steve, Last One, Natasha and Harlem. Natasha writes,
- 29:04Speaker 11: I am in an open marriage. It's a joy to
- 29:08Speaker 11: watch my husband with other women, but he has issues
- 29:12Speaker 11: when it comes to him allowing me to be with
- 29:14Speaker 11: other men. How will our marriage work? If it's one sided?
- 29:20Speaker 7: News for you, your marriage ain't working.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Is over. It is a joy to watch him with
- 29:29Speaker 1: other women.
- 29:30Speaker 10: Yeah, what how our marriage work?
- 29:34Speaker 14: Hey?
- 29:34Speaker 8: Man?
- 29:34Speaker 7: Like Junior say, sometime, what meet these people?
- 29:43Speaker 10: Why is he the only one that can have fun?
- 29:45Speaker 10: That's what she really ultimately wants to know.
- 29:49Speaker 1: He's just sitting there watching it.
- 29:51Speaker 10: Man, it's a joy. Yeah.
- 29:55Speaker 7: I'm gonna tell you right now, I'm not gonna be
- 29:57Speaker 7: able to perform issue watch I'm not going to do
- 30:04Speaker 7: to perform right now. It's Steve what' you're writing on?
- 30:09Speaker 1: You just leave?
- 30:12Speaker 8: All right?
- 30:13Speaker 14: All right?
- 30:14Speaker 10: Thank you?
- 30:14Speaker 11: Colo killing up at the top of the hour, We'll
- 30:17Speaker 11: have some entertainment news for you right after this leave.
- 30:23Speaker 11: You're listening to the Steve Harvey morning shows this Valentine's Day.
- 30:28Speaker 11: You don't want to miss SNL fifty the Homecoming Concert,
- 30:32Speaker 11: which is part of Saturday Night Lives ongoing celebration of
- 30:36Speaker 11: its big fiftieth anniversary on air. SNL fifty the Homecoming
- 30:41Speaker 11: Concert is a three hour special that will stream live
- 30:44Speaker 11: on Peacock from Radio City Music Hall in New York.
- 30:47Speaker 11: The concert is hosted by Jimmy Fallon and will feature
- 30:51Speaker 11: legendary performances and sketch comedy to highlight the musical impact
- 30:55Speaker 11: that SNL has had for the last fifty years. SNL
- 31:00Speaker 11: fifty The Homecoming Concert is streaming this Friday, February fourteenth
- 31:04Speaker 11: on Peacock.
- 31:05Speaker 10: So can you guys.
- 31:06Speaker 11: Believe it's been fifty years for SNL. I didn't fifty years.
- 31:11Speaker 10: Wow?
- 31:11Speaker 11: The long time run Yeah, and still be on top
- 31:16Speaker 11: of your game pretty much? Yeah, long time.
- 31:18Speaker 1: Annie Murphy, Yeah, mister Robinson.
- 31:23Speaker 10: Congratulations to SNL.
- 31:28Speaker 1: For the goat.
- 31:30Speaker 12: Eddie Mercy yeah, oh well, congratulations again and moving on.
- 31:40Speaker 11: We now understand why everyone didn't see the thirty second
- 31:43Speaker 11: commercial that Kanye spent eight million dollars on for the
- 31:46Speaker 11: Super Bowl. Now, this is according to TMZ. On Friday,
- 31:50Speaker 11: Fox approved Kanye's at to air during the Super Bowl,
- 31:53Speaker 11: but only in these cities Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Atlanta.
- 31:58Speaker 11: Fox approved the commercial for Kanye to promote his Yeezy
- 32:01Speaker 11: dot com site, and upon review of the site, there
- 32:04Speaker 11: was nothing offensive on it, just a normal Yeezy athletic
- 32:07Speaker 11: gear for sale. But by Sunday the website had been
- 32:11Speaker 11: edited down to one thing, a white T shirt with
- 32:14Speaker 11: a big swastika on the front of it, selling for
- 32:17Speaker 11: twenty dollars. Can you believe that Kanye spent eight million
- 32:21Speaker 11: dollars to offend millions of people?
- 32:24Speaker 10: Come on, yes on Kanye?
- 32:27Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, here's the question I have.
- 32:34Speaker 7: Okay, how's the title of genius working out for y'all?
- 32:40Speaker 1: We have stripped him of that time old.
- 32:43Speaker 10: I never called him that I liked him.
- 32:49Speaker 7: Ah My damn stupid ass kids, all them, But Dad, he.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Is a genus, hey man.
- 32:57Speaker 7: And I don't understand the blatant disrespect that this dude
- 33:02Speaker 7: is doing.
- 33:02Speaker 1: The swastika. Hey man, listen to me. That's awful. You
- 33:06Speaker 1: can't do that, this anti Semitic stuff.
- 33:09Speaker 7: Man, it never works out because you know what, the
- 33:13Speaker 7: Jewish community has it together. They are all together on
- 33:16Speaker 7: this part right here. You not taking us back? And
- 33:20Speaker 7: if they see any signs of it. You gonna stop this,
- 33:24Speaker 7: You're gonna get some takedown measure one. Yeah, And so
- 33:27Speaker 7: you know, I'm with it, man, I wish black people
- 33:29Speaker 7: did that. Sadly though, we're heading in the other direction.
- 33:32Speaker 7: We're in the tear down business. And I'm just grateful
- 33:37Speaker 7: for all of you, Junior, Tommy, Monica, Carla Shirley, all
- 33:43Speaker 7: of you who have decided as a collective unit that
- 33:46Speaker 7: that's not what our show is gonna be about.
- 33:50Speaker 8: Now.
- 33:50Speaker 7: We wi't report the news, and we'll report the entertainment news.
- 33:55Speaker 1: Yes, and if you're wrong, you wrong.
- 33:57Speaker 7: But what we're not doing, we we're not coming in
- 34:01Speaker 7: here just taking stuff apart. We're not gonna do that,
- 34:03Speaker 7: and we're.
- 34:03Speaker 1: Not gonna allow for it.
- 34:05Speaker 7: Don't come on this format talking about you're gonna destroy
- 34:08Speaker 7: another another artist, another person, and I especially man would
- 34:13Speaker 7: not allow You're not coming on here talking about nobody.
- 34:15Speaker 1: I know I'm.
- 34:17Speaker 7: Friends with you know I have a good relationship. I'm
- 34:20Speaker 7: not gonna lie that.
- 34:21Speaker 12: That's not normal behavior to set out to destroy other people,
- 34:24Speaker 12: to come wrong, to along with you, to do this,
- 34:28Speaker 12: to want to do.
- 34:29Speaker 7: That right And sadly though, that's so prevalent in our
- 34:33Speaker 7: society and in our culture.
- 34:36Speaker 11: Yeah nowadays for sure. Yeah, all right, moving on to
- 34:40Speaker 11: this next story. Really hard to believe.
- 34:42Speaker 4: Now.
- 34:42Speaker 11: This is according to CBS News and a you gov
- 34:45Speaker 11: poll done just this month, Donald Trump's approval ratings have
- 34:50Speaker 11: been a significant surge they've had, They've seen a significant surge.
- 34:54Speaker 10: I should say, fifty three.
- 34:56Speaker 11: Percent of those polls approve of Trump's actions thus far,
- 35:00Speaker 11: marking a notable increase from the thirty three percent of
- 35:03Speaker 11: poop of rating he had when he left office back
- 35:05Speaker 11: in twenty twenty one. The pole shows strong support for
- 35:08Speaker 11: key parts of Trump's agenda, such as his mass expulsion
- 35:11Speaker 11: plan for immigrants and his handling of the Israel Hummus war. However,
- 35:17Speaker 11: some issues are still controversial, like the tariffs on Mexico,
- 35:21Speaker 11: on Europe and Canada, and two thirds of people polled
- 35:24Speaker 11: feel that the Trump administration has not focused enough on
- 35:28Speaker 11: lowering household prices as he promised during his campaign. So basically,
- 35:34Speaker 11: when will the price of milk and eggs go down?
- 35:37Speaker 1: Is the question.
- 35:38Speaker 10: Okay, you're doing all this other stuff, what about these eggs?
- 35:41Speaker 10: What about this milk? You know?

- 37:14Speaker 7: Hey, look, you can't let the urge to sing your
- 37:16Speaker 7: favorite songs while you're driving distract you from that truck
- 37:20Speaker 7: drifting toward your lane or that lane splitting.
- 37:23Speaker 1: Biker creeping up beside you.
- 37:25Speaker 7: Fortunately, every Honday offers advanced safety features that can alert
- 37:29Speaker 7: you to potential dangers around you.
- 37:31Speaker 6: That's right, because Hondai is always working to ensure it
- 37:34Speaker 6: the road doesn't get you. Hondai vehicles have won over
- 37:37Speaker 6: one hundred and twenty IIHS Top Safety awards from two

- 56:23Speaker 8: Here.
- 56:23Speaker 1: It is Strawberry Letter.
- 56:25Speaker 11: Thank you, nephew. Subject I get bored with men quickly.
- 56:29Speaker 11: Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a thirty two year old woman,
- 56:32Speaker 11: single woman. I am afraid that I will be a
- 56:35Speaker 11: certified loaner all of my life because I get bored
- 56:38Speaker 11: with men quickly. Maybe I'm attracted to the wrong men.
- 56:42Speaker 11: So I'm writing you because it's cheaper thanotherapist. I was
- 56:45Speaker 11: dating a guy that pursued.
- 56:47Speaker 10: Me for months.
- 56:47Speaker 11: I liked him a lot, but played it off so
- 56:49Speaker 11: I could be pursued. After a few dozen roses being
- 56:53Speaker 11: sent to me, I agreed to go out with him.
- 56:56Speaker 11: Our first few dates were great, but he's not big
- 56:58Speaker 11: on opening doors for me and pulling out my chair
- 57:01Speaker 11: when we dined out. He smelled good and he was
- 57:04Speaker 11: nicely groomed, but he wore sneakers with everything. He also
- 57:08Speaker 11: started talking about sex too soon and made jokes about
- 57:11Speaker 11: my curves that were distasteful. I guess you would say
- 57:15Speaker 11: I'm a hopeless romantic, and I've watched too many black
- 57:17Speaker 11: and white movies, so I expect to be I expect
- 57:20Speaker 11: to have a love story similar to what I see
- 57:22Speaker 11: in the movies.
- 57:24Speaker 1: I get bored quickly and.
- 57:26Speaker 11: Start to lose interest in the men when things don't
- 57:29Speaker 11: go as I had imagined. I tried online dating and
- 57:32Speaker 11: recently I met a man that checked all of the boxes.
- 57:35Speaker 11: But he has a six year old child. He has
- 57:39Speaker 11: soul custody, and he is the sweetest girl dad. Everything
- 57:43Speaker 11: was going great, and his child even went on a
- 57:45Speaker 11: few dates with us. I got baby fever really bad,
- 57:49Speaker 11: and he could see. He said he could see us
- 57:52Speaker 11: having children together. I prayed that I wouldn't lose interest
- 57:57Speaker 11: or get bored with him, but I did right after
- 58:00Speaker 11: we made love for the first time. It was boring,
- 58:03Speaker 11: and he doesn't know what he's doing. He said he
- 58:06Speaker 11: was nervous, but he's in his forties, so he should
- 58:09Speaker 11: know better. I'm still with him, and I'm bored. He
- 58:12Speaker 11: knows something is wrong, but I don't want to be honest.
- 58:15Speaker 11: I'm a big part of the problem. So how do
- 58:18Speaker 11: I fix myself? Why do I get bored quickly? Well,
- 58:23Speaker 11: you told us what you don't like, but not really
- 58:25Speaker 11: what you do. Like, I mean, honestly, it sounds like
- 58:27Speaker 11: you're looking for a perfection from these men.
- 58:30Speaker 10: Like maybe you think what you see in the movies.
- 58:32Speaker 11: These black and white movies that you watch, maybe you
- 58:35Speaker 11: think that's real life. Well that's not real those movies.
- 58:39Speaker 11: It's nothing wrong with wanting a gentleman to open doors
- 58:42Speaker 11: for you and pull your chair out for you.
- 58:43Speaker 10: Nothing wrong with that at all. But the guy you
- 58:46Speaker 10: dated wasn't that, and the sex talk was too soon
- 58:49Speaker 10: for you.
- 58:49Speaker 11: You said, well, that's who he is. You didn't like it,
- 58:52Speaker 11: and you moved on from him.
- 58:54Speaker 1: Good.
- 58:54Speaker 10: He wasn't for you.
- 58:56Speaker 11: It didn't mean he was boring necessarily, he just wasn't
- 58:59Speaker 11: your second guy, nice guy boring in the bedroom according
- 59:03Speaker 11: to you. It wasn't your first time.
- 59:06Speaker 10: It was his first time, he said, And he said
- 59:08Speaker 10: he was nervous, which I believe because he could have
- 59:12Speaker 10: been nervous the first time. And just because someone's in
- 59:14Speaker 10: their forties doesn't mean he automatically knows how to please you.
- 59:19Speaker 10: These things, these things take time. You got to get
- 59:22Speaker 10: to know each other.
- 59:23Speaker 11: You got to talk to each other, communicate what you like,
- 59:26Speaker 11: what you don't like. You are half of the problem
- 59:28Speaker 11: because in order for anything or any relationship to work,
- 59:31Speaker 11: you got to put in some work.
- 59:33Speaker 10: But you don't.
- 59:34Speaker 11: You want everything just so, just so perfect, immediately, and
- 59:39Speaker 11: you're gone because you're bored. If it's not that, no
- 59:41Speaker 11: one's saying you have to stay in an unfulfilling situation.
- 59:44Speaker 10: But you should give a good man a chance. That's
- 59:47Speaker 10: all I'm saying, Steve.
- 59:50Speaker 7: It's an interesting letter from this young lady that's thirty
- 59:53Speaker 7: two years old. So I'll try to approach this from
- 59:55Speaker 7: a dad's standpoint and what I know about men, which
- 1:00:02Speaker 7: is a lot. I know a lot about men. Not
- 1:00:05Speaker 7: that great on women, but now I know a heck
- 1:00:07Speaker 7: of a lot about men. But once you get into relationship,
- 1:00:11Speaker 7: I can tell you where his head is at. You're
- 1:00:15Speaker 7: afraid that you will be a certified learner all of
- 1:00:17Speaker 7: your life because I get bored with men quickly.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: There's a huge part.
- 1:00:24Speaker 7: Of your problem in that first line. I get bored
- 1:00:28Speaker 7: with men quickly. So guess what's gonna continue to happen.
- 1:00:33Speaker 7: You're gonna get bored with men quickly because you've accepted
- 1:00:37Speaker 7: that as a flaw. You've done nothing to change it,
- 1:00:44Speaker 7: so you've just accepted it. So now here we are. Okay,
- 1:00:50Speaker 7: you think it's cheaper than a therapist, I'll do what
- 1:00:52Speaker 7: I can do. I liked him a lot. I met
- 1:00:54Speaker 7: a guy pursued me for months. After a dozen roses,
- 1:00:57Speaker 7: he said, I agreed to go out with him first dates,
- 1:01:01Speaker 7: but he wasn't big on opening doors, pulling our chairs
- 1:01:04Speaker 7: when we went out. He smelled good, really groom, but
- 1:01:08Speaker 7: he wore sneakers with everything that.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: Can be changed. Damn.
- 1:01:15Speaker 7: Some dudes don't know no better. And that's what people
- 1:01:19Speaker 7: do now. They were sneakers with everything that could have
- 1:01:22Speaker 7: been changed. So and the don't open doors and pulling
- 1:01:27Speaker 7: our chairs that could have been changed. I tell women
- 1:01:32Speaker 7: this all the time. You can train a man how
- 1:01:34Speaker 7: to treat you. If you go to the door and
- 1:01:36Speaker 7: you stand there in that door, then he don't see
- 1:01:38Speaker 7: that you've been waiting on him to open it.
- 1:01:41Speaker 8: He go.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: You know that's it.
- 1:01:43Speaker 7: You all go out to dinner. Just stand at your chair, Marjorie,
- 1:01:46Speaker 7: don't open no doors. We go to dinner, Marjorie standing
- 1:01:50Speaker 7: in her chair. She know I'm coming, and if something
- 1:01:53Speaker 7: happened and throw me off, she's staying right there.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: You could have good. Did that?
- 1:01:58Speaker 7: I expect to have a love store like you see
- 1:02:01Speaker 7: in the movies. Here we go right back again. I
- 1:02:05Speaker 7: get bored quickly and start to lose interest in men
- 1:02:10Speaker 7: with things don't go as I had imagined. Okay, you
- 1:02:15Speaker 7: just you keep losing me because it don't go as
- 1:02:18Speaker 7: how you would imagine let me say this before we
- 1:02:21Speaker 7: go to break. You have all these expectations in this letter,
- 1:02:28Speaker 7: and I've heard no expectations of yourself in this letter.
- 1:02:34Speaker 7: All right, Steve, this is a very one side of
- 1:02:36Speaker 7: relationship you're trying to have.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: I'll tell you the rest. I want to come back.
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: All right, hold it right there.
- 1:02:41Speaker 11: We'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 1:02:44Speaker 11: twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry Letters subject
- 1:02:47Speaker 11: I get bored with men quickly.
- 1:02:49Speaker 10: We'll get back into.

- 1:03:23Speaker 11: slash Strawberry. All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's
- 1:03:27Speaker 11: Strawberry letter. The subject is I get bored with men quickly.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: Well, like I said, this is the problem in this
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: whole letter.
- 1:03:33Speaker 7: This young lady gets bored with me and quickly, and
- 1:03:36Speaker 7: so all throughout the letter she'd meet. She meets a guy.
- 1:03:40Speaker 7: He was everything. He was nice, he just wasn't big
- 1:03:44Speaker 7: on chivalry. He don't pull out chairs, open doors, and
- 1:03:47Speaker 7: he wears he dressed nice, but he wears sneakers with everything.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: All those three things you.
- 1:03:51Speaker 7: Just said change. He ain't mistreating you in this letter.
- 1:03:56Speaker 7: You know he he's not kind. He didn't open a
- 1:03:59Speaker 7: door and he didn't pull out a chair is because
- 1:04:02Speaker 7: chivalry has not been taught to him, but you could
- 1:04:06Speaker 7: teach it to him. And the fact that he were
- 1:04:08Speaker 7: sneakers with everything you could have worked with that.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: See all these expectations in this letter.
- 1:04:14Speaker 7: Like I said before we went on break, the problem
- 1:04:17Speaker 7: is you have no expectations of yourself. There are women
- 1:04:21Speaker 7: who have got with men who weren't complete and work
- 1:04:24Speaker 7: and worked on completing though, But you ain't willing to
- 1:04:27Speaker 7: do that. You won't miss the ready man. But you're not.
- 1:04:32Speaker 7: I tell you then, But you're not. I don't see
- 1:04:36Speaker 7: you building a man up. I don't see you getting
- 1:04:38Speaker 7: ready to support him. I don't see none of that,
- 1:04:42Speaker 7: all right, So that one didn't happen. Then you say
- 1:04:48Speaker 7: he also started talking about having sex too soon, and
- 1:04:52Speaker 7: he made jokes about your curves that were distasteful.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: Okay, all that could have been worth it anyway.
- 1:04:59Speaker 7: I guess you say I'm a hopeless romantic because I
- 1:05:02Speaker 7: watched a lot of black and white movies. I expect
- 1:05:03Speaker 7: to have a love story similar to what I see
- 1:05:05Speaker 7: in the movies. You know how old black and white
- 1:05:07Speaker 7: movies is. It don't work like that in the movies.
- 1:05:12Speaker 7: This is real life. You got to put in some work.
- 1:05:17Speaker 7: Then you go right back saying I get bored quickly,
- 1:05:19Speaker 7: and I started to lose interest in men when things.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: Don't go as I had imagined.
- 1:05:25Speaker 7: See you gonna let your imagination mess you up for
- 1:05:27Speaker 7: the rest of your life because the reality of it
- 1:05:30Speaker 7: is nobody's perfect. Everybody has to make some little adjustments,
- 1:05:36Speaker 7: and that would include you.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:05:40Speaker 7: Then you recently met this man on line and guess
- 1:05:42Speaker 7: what checked all the boxes. But he had a six
- 1:05:46Speaker 7: year old child soul custody. He's the sweetest girl.
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: Dad.
- 1:05:51Speaker 7: Everything was going great, his child even went on a
- 1:05:53Speaker 7: few dates with us. I got baby fever really bad,
- 1:05:57Speaker 7: and he said he could see us.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: Having children together.
- 1:06:00Speaker 7: And let me ask you a question, sho, Well, she said,
- 1:06:02Speaker 7: I got baby fever real bad. That means she wanted
- 1:06:05Speaker 7: to have a baby exactly. Okay, cool, all right now.
- 1:06:09Speaker 7: And he said he could see us having children together.
- 1:06:12Speaker 7: I prayed that I wouldn't lose interest or get bored
- 1:06:16Speaker 7: with him, but I did. Well, let's find out why.
- 1:06:21Speaker 7: Right after we made love for the first time, it
- 1:06:23Speaker 7: was boring. And he doesn't know what he's doing. Okay,
- 1:06:29Speaker 7: he said he was nervous, but he's in his forties,
- 1:06:31Speaker 7: so he should know better. There you go again. There
- 1:06:35Speaker 7: you go a kid. He was nervous, you said, but
- 1:06:41Speaker 7: he in his forties. He ought to know what he doing. Well,
- 1:06:44Speaker 7: But you got to give the man a chance anyway,
- 1:06:47Speaker 7: let me okay, So now here we go. This is
- 1:06:51Speaker 7: another man that's slipping out perfect checked all the bloxes.
- 1:06:55Speaker 7: His love making is a little bit boring. And you
- 1:06:59Speaker 7: know what is it that these men are boring?
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: Are you too damn much? Which one could it be?
- 1:07:05Speaker 7: Because right now you have no criticism of yourself except
- 1:07:09Speaker 7: you get bored quickly. I'm still with him and I'm bored. Okay, lady,
- 1:07:15Speaker 7: let the man go. Let him go, because I bet
- 1:07:18Speaker 7: you it's a woman out there will take all this
- 1:07:22Speaker 7: little bored him you're talking about and turn it into something.
- 1:07:25Speaker 7: He knows something's wrong, But I don't want to be honest.
- 1:07:29Speaker 7: Well you're not honest in it throughout this letter, with
- 1:07:31Speaker 7: them or yourself.
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: So how do I fix myself? Why do I get
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: bored quickly? Well?
- 1:07:39Speaker 7: I think you get bored quickly because number one, you
- 1:07:41Speaker 7: say you get bored quickly, you know you are as
- 1:07:45Speaker 7: you think. Whatever you set upon yourself in words, it's
- 1:07:48Speaker 7: gonna manifest itself in deeds and actions. You keep saying
- 1:07:54Speaker 7: you bored with me and quickly, Therefore anything that happened
- 1:07:59Speaker 7: you cannot justify what you said. I get bored quickly.
- 1:08:03Speaker 7: Stop saying that. I tell you this one other time before.
- 1:08:08Speaker 7: If you keep saying I'm not a morning person every morning,
- 1:08:12Speaker 7: you ain't gonna be a morning person when you're gonna
- 1:08:16Speaker 7: quit doing that to yourself, stop saying you get bored
- 1:08:19Speaker 7: with me and quickly, start finding ways to stay with
- 1:08:23Speaker 7: somebody instead of trying to find a way to leave somebody.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: It don't take nothing for you to leave. And I
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: got news for you.
- 1:08:31Speaker 7: The bedroom seems really important to you.
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: So let me intend say something to you, little mess.
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: I get bored off you.
- 1:08:38Speaker 7: Since the bedroom seems to be so important to you,
- 1:08:44Speaker 7: I'm assuming you've spent a lot of time working on
- 1:08:47Speaker 7: your expertise in that area. And because somebody else ain't
- 1:08:51Speaker 7: put the same amount of time and being an expert
- 1:08:53Speaker 7: in bed like you, now you bored with them. But
- 1:08:57Speaker 7: where has that expertise in bed gotten you? By your
- 1:09:01Speaker 7: damn self, that's what it's done, all right. I just
- 1:09:06Speaker 7: want to say this to you, young lady, before you
- 1:09:08Speaker 7: destroy another man talking about what they aint what's wrong
- 1:09:12Speaker 7: with you? You're talking about how you fix yourself. You
- 1:09:15Speaker 7: need to first of all, fix your expectations and start
- 1:09:19Speaker 7: putting some on yourself, because you have no expectations on yourself.
- 1:09:22Speaker 7: All your expectations are on these men, and ain't none
- 1:09:25Speaker 7: of them been able to live up to it?
- 1:09:27Speaker 6: All right?
- 1:09:28Speaker 7: Checking all the blocks boxes said, when we get in
- 1:09:31Speaker 7: this bed, you boring.

- 1:11:38Speaker 7: only person in the Hall of Fame that has a
- 1:11:42Speaker 7: gold jacket who can truly say he is the second
- 1:11:45Speaker 7: best football player in his family.

- 1:12:17Speaker 9: is That's a special moment man, for a brother that

- 1:13:17Speaker 15: let's go see what happens to night, Luca Doctor, i'm'n
- 1:13:19Speaker 15: watched that game. See what happen Planted.
- 1:13:20Speaker 10: James, all right, Julia?
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: Maybe all right?
- 1:13:25Speaker 10: Thank you, Jun You're coming up at the top of
- 1:13:26Speaker 10: the hour. A man needs your advice.
- 1:13:28Speaker 8: Steve.
- 1:13:28Speaker 11: He said his wife is mean and she never apologizes.
- 1:13:32Speaker 11: We'll get into it right after this. You're listening to
- 1:13:35Speaker 11: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, this one's
- 1:13:39Speaker 11: from Anthony and Macon Steve. Anthony says, my wife gets
- 1:13:42Speaker 11: upset with me over small things, and she loves to
- 1:13:45Speaker 11: curse at me and lock me out of the bedroom.
- 1:13:49Speaker 11: She says the most vile and evil things to me
- 1:13:51Speaker 11: and won't ever apologize. She always expects me to move
- 1:13:55Speaker 11: on like nothing happened. But I'm hurt. If I mentioned therapy,
- 1:13:59Speaker 11: she will flip out. Has she mentally checked out of
- 1:14:02Speaker 11: our marriage?
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: I don't know, but you should. Yeah.
- 1:14:12Speaker 7: I don't thank you for calling in dog so I
- 1:14:16Speaker 7: can show you the other side of me. Br I'm
- 1:14:24Speaker 7: telling you I don't know how to I can't live
- 1:14:26Speaker 7: with a mean person and what you don't understand and
- 1:14:30Speaker 7: I'm not just I'm just talking about to the lady
- 1:14:32Speaker 7: in this letter, and any lady that might use.
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: This words hurt me.
- 1:14:37Speaker 7: And the things you can say to your man that
- 1:14:39Speaker 7: you can't take back, and you've done the damage. You
- 1:14:44Speaker 7: have to be careful how you talk to these men,
- 1:14:45Speaker 7: because we take a lot of stuff out here at
- 1:14:48Speaker 7: work in this world, just as a man, and then
- 1:14:52Speaker 7: we come home and we don't get no relief, we
- 1:14:56Speaker 7: don't get no battery recharge at home, and now you
- 1:15:00Speaker 7: expect us to go back out here and deal with
- 1:15:01Speaker 7: it again. And you at the house calling you names,
- 1:15:05Speaker 7: talking about him, being mean to him, locking him out
- 1:15:08Speaker 7: of the bedroom door.
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: Man, Bye, I'm divorcing you. I'm not doing this. I'm
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: not doing though, but just.
- 1:15:18Speaker 12: Is she?
- 1:15:20Speaker 7: I can't stand you black, blanking and blank. Okay, come,
- 1:15:24Speaker 7: ain't no problem. I bet you can find somebody who would.
- 1:15:28Speaker 8: Here.
- 1:15:29Speaker 6: A couple of weeks from getting his air whip. He
- 1:15:31Speaker 6: need to leave now, Oh man, the way, she's.
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: Just take a shower. Yeah, you know people got showers
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: of damn. I have a solution for this.
- 1:15:56Speaker 10: Yeah, this is bad, all right. We have time for
- 1:15:58Speaker 10: another one, Steve.
- 1:15:59Speaker 11: This one's from Drinka and t Neck Draka says, I've
- 1:16:02Speaker 11: been dating a man for a few months and we
- 1:16:04Speaker 11: lived ninety minutes apart. He had told me that he
- 1:16:07Speaker 11: wanted me to feel at home when I come to
- 1:16:10Speaker 11: visit him on weekends. But I was shocked by what
- 1:16:12Speaker 11: he did. He has given me my own drawer at
- 1:16:15Speaker 11: his place full of panties and bras that he bought.
- 1:16:19Speaker 11: He bought all of the toilet trees I used daily,
- 1:16:22Speaker 11: and he bought a shower cap. He also got his
- 1:16:25Speaker 11: matching pajamas and slippers. He said he looked at one
- 1:16:29Speaker 11: of my bras to get the right size. That's a
- 1:16:31Speaker 11: bit much. My best friend said he's a keeper, but
- 1:16:34Speaker 11: I think he's a creeper. Is he being sweet or
- 1:16:37Speaker 11: is this controlling behavior?
- 1:16:40Speaker 7: Has it controlling? He hit match control, bought you a
- 1:16:45Speaker 7: shower cap. He wants you to stay a few mons,
- 1:16:48Speaker 7: looked to bras just a bit on the floor. He
- 1:16:51Speaker 7: picked it uphim So research hate a bought your drawer
- 1:16:55Speaker 7: full of panties.
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: And bras. You're free? Say he a keeper? You say
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: he's a creeper. What did he do want? He's doing
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: too much? That's okay, Yeah, he's doing too much. But
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: how has it worked out with the men that don't
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: do nothing.
- 1:17:13Speaker 7: If he's trying to be kind to you and do
- 1:17:15Speaker 7: things for you, you can call it control, but it
- 1:17:18Speaker 7: could be called carry well.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: He said he wanted her to feel at home.
- 1:17:24Speaker 7: There are some women who have been mistreated so long
- 1:17:27Speaker 7: they think that's normal. Then when a guy come along
- 1:17:31Speaker 7: and does something that's kind, that's out of the way,
- 1:17:35Speaker 7: then all of a sudden, that abnormal thing that you
- 1:17:38Speaker 7: experience in now is weird.
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: It's creepy. It is creepy.
- 1:17:42Speaker 11: But isn't she right though, to feel, you know, to
- 1:17:45Speaker 11: be a little more cautious, to be cautious.
- 1:17:48Speaker 10: They've only been dating a few months. Shouldn't do it
- 1:17:51Speaker 10: too early?
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: She been over that. That's what they doing such a
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: whole bunch of time. Now you won't start cutting back?
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: Oh what yeah?
- 1:18:05Speaker 6: Once weis that we over did it and got.
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: Pay us Hello, all right?
- 1:18:15Speaker 11: Coming up at twenty minutes after the hour, we'll have
- 1:18:17Speaker 11: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:18:23Speaker 11: While fans continue to give Kendrick his well deserved flowers
- 1:18:27Speaker 11: for Sunday Super Bowl halftime show, many people have already
- 1:18:31Speaker 11: started looking ahead to the twenty twenty six Super Bowl,
- 1:18:34Speaker 11: and according to X, they've got one artist in mind.
- 1:18:38Speaker 11: One artist the people's choice for next year's halftime show
- 1:18:42Speaker 11: is the one and only Chris Brown. I'm with us, Chris,
- 1:18:48Speaker 11: I'm with it, Chris Brown. X has been flooded with
- 1:18:51Speaker 11: requests for Chris Brown to finally get the chance to perform,
- 1:18:54Speaker 11: and believe he's been blacklisted enough. So gotta ask you,
- 1:18:59Speaker 11: what do you guys? What do you guys think Chris
- 1:19:01Speaker 11: Brown for the halftime show? That's what a lot of
- 1:19:03Speaker 11: people want.
- 1:19:04Speaker 6: A lot.
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: You can do it.
- 1:19:07Speaker 10: Yeah, you got everything you take and super talented.
- 1:19:12Speaker 12: Because I was wondering why the Grammys didn't ask him
- 1:19:15Speaker 12: to do Thriller the Michael Tribute with Quincy Jones. I
- 1:19:19Speaker 12: said that would have been fire. No hate to Janelle Monnet,
- 1:19:23Speaker 12: but Chris Brown would took it out.
- 1:19:25Speaker 11: They still have that thing, right, Steve against Chris Brown.
- 1:19:30Speaker 7: I mean, that's that's that's the hypocrisy of living in
- 1:19:34Speaker 7: the United States of America. One man get to be president,
- 1:19:39Speaker 7: the other man have to pay for a past mistake
- 1:19:42Speaker 7: his entire damn life. At one point in time, man
- 1:19:46Speaker 7: We've got to understand this brother was young. He made
- 1:19:49Speaker 7: a mistake. He has paid his dues for that, he
- 1:19:53Speaker 7: has learned his lesson. This dude, Chris Brown is next level.
- 1:20:00Speaker 7: I he next level?
- 1:20:01Speaker 8: All right?

- 1:22:45Speaker 11: Never have loved it all?
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: Which I've loved and lost? The love and property is
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: not about yours shirt? Say yes you war today? Ask
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: that's over liability?
- 1:23:05Speaker 15: Or he lost my mind to my best friend at
- 1:23:08Speaker 15: the time. So this a good question for me.
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: Oh God, I'm mad at I ain't mad at the
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: love I love. I'm good love love. Yes, so JR.
- 1:23:21Speaker 10: What's wrong? What's wrong?

- 1:23:39Speaker 1: And we all go to the same church membership. Sorry
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: I couldn't drive Tommy.
- 1:23:48Speaker 11: All right, that's today's round up, would you rather?
- 1:23:53Speaker 10: Thanks?
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: Guys?
- 1:23:54Speaker 11: Coming up our last break of the day, and we'll
- 1:23:57Speaker 11: close out the show with one and only Steve Harvey
- 1:24:00Speaker 11: after this. How you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Hey,
- 1:24:05Speaker 11: this's a Shirlett's Strawberry.
- 1:24:06Speaker 10: And you know what it's like.
- 1:24:07Speaker 11: You're driving around all over town and your schedule is
- 1:24:10Speaker 11: packed all day long. I mean, you're booked and busy.
- 1:24:13Speaker 11: That's when your me time becomes even more important. Well,
- 1:24:16Speaker 11: what if your me time and you're driving around time
- 1:24:19Speaker 11: were the same. In the all new twenty twenty five
- 1:24:21Speaker 11: Meisan Morano, they can be. I mean the Morano was
- 1:24:25Speaker 11: literally designed to help you relax. We're talking about ambient
- 1:24:28Speaker 11: mood lighting and over sixty four different colors and a
- 1:24:31Speaker 11: both premium sound system playing all your favorite music, so
- 1:24:35Speaker 11: you can just dial up the music and the lighting
- 1:24:37Speaker 11: to set whatever vibe you want. And just like that,
- 1:24:40Speaker 11: you created your own personal oasis and you're still getting
- 1:24:43Speaker 11: everything done.
- 1:24:44Speaker 10: That's your crazy day, dictates.
- 1:24:46Speaker 11: I mean, it's not often that productivity and relaxation intersect, right,
- 1:24:51Speaker 11: but they certainly do. And the all new Morano, because
- 1:24:54Speaker 11: no amount of rushing around is going to get you
- 1:24:56Speaker 11: down when you're chilling and a Morano check it out
- 1:24:59Speaker 11: for your drive, the only Nissan Morano today. Ambient lighting
- 1:25:04Speaker 11: in both are optional features. All right, guys, here we
- 1:25:08Speaker 11: are last break of the day and Steve.
- 1:25:12Speaker 7: And you know my close remarks today has something to
- 1:25:16Speaker 7: do with the opening of the show. Junior asked me
- 1:25:22Speaker 7: a question about monitoring your expectations?
- 1:25:27Speaker 8: Was that what it was?
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: Monitoring your expectations.
- 1:25:30Speaker 7: Managing managing your expectations, And it caused me to do
- 1:25:34Speaker 7: some thinking. And I was saying to him this morning,
- 1:25:39Speaker 7: we as people, you got to be keenly aware of
- 1:25:43Speaker 7: all of these things. Slogans that's out there that people
- 1:25:49Speaker 7: confuse with words of wisdom, every slogan you hear is
- 1:25:55Speaker 7: not a word of wisdom. See, I've learned from every
- 1:26:00Speaker 7: self help book I've ever read. All of them are
- 1:26:04Speaker 7: based on the principles in the Bible, all of them.
- 1:26:08Speaker 7: All self help books are based on the secret the
- 1:26:12Speaker 7: theory of the Law of Attraction, The Magic of Thinking Big,
- 1:26:19Speaker 7: Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale.
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: Every I could go on.
- 1:26:23Speaker 7: In the Winner's Circle by Dexter Wyansol, I could go
- 1:26:26Speaker 7: on and on and on, but every single one of
- 1:26:29Speaker 7: them have taken all of their thoughts from the principles
- 1:26:35Speaker 7: of the Bible. So when we were talking earlier and
- 1:26:39Speaker 7: JUNI was talking about managing your expectations, people like I said,
- 1:26:44Speaker 7: you gotta be careful because everything you hear is not
- 1:26:47Speaker 7: a wise saying. Some of these are just slogans, and
- 1:26:51Speaker 7: a lot of things are created to limit you and
- 1:26:55Speaker 7: to explain a person's failure. I give you another one.
- 1:27:00Speaker 7: Don't put all your eggs in one basket. They call
- 1:27:04Speaker 7: that words of wisdom. But you gotta look at that
- 1:27:07Speaker 7: slogan and analyze it very carefully. So what they're saying is,
- 1:27:14Speaker 7: don't put all of your everything into one basket now,
- 1:27:18Speaker 7: because now that's true. It depends on what the basket is, though,
- 1:27:25Speaker 7: and it depends on what your basket is constructed of.
- 1:27:29Speaker 7: If your basket is constructed of faith in God, prayer
- 1:27:36Speaker 7: and hard work, I'm gonna dump everything I got into
- 1:27:39Speaker 7: that basket because then it would allow me to put
- 1:27:43Speaker 7: my all, in all behind this one effort. So be
- 1:27:46Speaker 7: careful of that, because I don't know how to be
- 1:27:49Speaker 7: successful unless you give your all. I just don't know
- 1:27:52Speaker 7: how to be successful at anything until you give it
- 1:27:57Speaker 7: your all. Now, when that drives up and it's time
- 1:27:59Speaker 7: to move, move on, put your haul into something else.
- 1:28:03Speaker 7: There's another one. Always have a plan B. I've never
- 1:28:07Speaker 7: agreed with this one. Sounds like words of wisdom. Okay,
- 1:28:10Speaker 7: that's in case plan eight on work. But in order
- 1:28:13Speaker 7: to have a plan B, you must construct the plan B.
- 1:28:18Speaker 7: But while you're constructing your plan B, it takes away
- 1:28:21Speaker 7: the time and efforts you could be using to construct
- 1:28:25Speaker 7: your plan A. Everybody that I know that had a
- 1:28:29Speaker 7: Plan B had to use it. It's like a prenup
- 1:28:33Speaker 7: in a marriage. I don't know a single couple that's
- 1:28:37Speaker 7: got a prenup that didn't use it. Because you plan
- 1:28:40Speaker 7: from the outset. This is the end event that something
- 1:28:44Speaker 7: go wrong. So now you've prepared for an out.
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: Look. I'm not saying you shouldn't have a prenump. You
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: can do what you want to do.
- 1:28:51Speaker 7: I'm just telling you, if you have one, you're gonna
- 1:28:54Speaker 7: use it, because I don't know a single couple that
- 1:28:56Speaker 7: had a prenup that didn't use it. Think about it, y'all,
- 1:29:00Speaker 7: because you're you're not planning on making it to the tape.
- 1:29:03Speaker 7: Because you have an out, and the moment you decide
- 1:29:06Speaker 7: that the price of the out is adequate, you gonna
- 1:29:09Speaker 7: take it. I ain't got to put up with this
- 1:29:11Speaker 7: no more. See you gotta here's another one. Be careful.
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: Statistics one in every so and so this happens. Wait
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: a minute. You know what I was told a long
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: time ago, one in every twenty thousand comedians will make
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: it to the Tonight Show. That was something somebody told me.
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: I don't even know if it's the truth to statistics,
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: but sitting around with a bunch of young comedians back
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: in the eighties and we were all talking about it,
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: and this guy said, you know, one in every twenty
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: thousand comedians making on the Tonight Show, and you can't
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: become a star unless you get green lit by Johnny
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: Carson on the Tonight Show. So what I decided was
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: I'll be one of the ones. So every night before
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: I walked on stage, I used to harm this.
- 1:29:56Speaker 7: Then I'll be pacing in the background to they said,
- 1:30:00Speaker 7: ladies and gentlemen from Cleveland House Steve Hardy, and then
- 1:30:03Speaker 7: I run on stage. Well, you know what, I never
- 1:30:07Speaker 7: met Johnny Carson. I never said on this show. I've
- 1:30:10Speaker 7: been on the Tonight Show.
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: With Jay Lenole.
- 1:30:13Speaker 7: But it was after I had already gained enough notoriety
- 1:30:17Speaker 7: to be a guest on his show. I just decided
- 1:30:20Speaker 7: I was gonna be the one. But what statistics do
- 1:30:23Speaker 7: is it justifies a person who's looking for a way
- 1:30:26Speaker 7: not to be successful, and only one in us so
- 1:30:30Speaker 7: many people. It's one in up millions of chance to
- 1:30:34Speaker 7: win the Power lottery, but if you don't play it,
- 1:30:37Speaker 7: that percentage drops to zero, and then when somebody win it,
- 1:30:42Speaker 7: you're going wire.
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: They want, but they played.
- 1:30:45Speaker 7: Y'all be very conscious as you move into life about
- 1:30:49Speaker 7: things that people are called wise sayings, because they might
- 1:30:53Speaker 7: just be something somebody said to justify why they are
- 1:30:57Speaker 7: where they are. Be conscious of that, talk to God,
- 1:31:01Speaker 7: he'd absolutely love miss the house.
