Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome.
- 0:01Speaker 2: It is Verdict with Ted Cruz week in Review. Ben
- 0:05Speaker 2: Ferguson with you in Mayomi. Was it a big week
- 0:07Speaker 2: at the Democratic Convention and we covered a lot. Optics
- 0:12Speaker 2: seem to be the number one thing Democrats were obsessed with,
- 0:16Speaker 2: and it was showing a unified front. But they may
- 0:19Speaker 2: be lying to you about just how unified the Democratic
- 0:21Speaker 2: Party is. We're gonna explain exactly what Democrats are saying
- 0:26Speaker 2: behind closed doors about Kamala Harris's campaign.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Also playing the hits right.
- 0:32Speaker 2: It's a smart strategy if you're the Democrats, but can
- 0:36Speaker 2: it work with Kamala Apparently many of the Democrats don't
- 0:41Speaker 2: think that's a strategy that can get her all the
- 0:43Speaker 2: way to the White House. And finally, can America actually
- 0:47Speaker 2: trust Kamala Harris after lying about Biden's cognitive decline and
- 0:52Speaker 2: covering it up for so long. We're gonna deal with
- 0:55Speaker 2: all of that. It is the weekend Review and it
- 0:58Speaker 2: starts right now. You also have the optics of the
- 1:02Speaker 2: party right now, and the Democratic Party is very much
- 1:04Speaker 2: acting like they are united. But there was some reporting
- 1:08Speaker 2: that came out night two and it said VP. Kamala
- 1:11Speaker 2: Harris held an event ninety miles away from the DNC
- 1:14Speaker 2: on the night the party's two most popular figures, Barack
- 1:17Speaker 2: and Michelle Obama, campaign on her behalf, and a source
- 1:21Speaker 2: familiar with the DNC planning tells Fox that the choice
- 1:25Speaker 2: was made out of sensitivity and respect for quote Joe
- 1:29Speaker 2: Biden Obamas are still not on the White House good
- 1:33Speaker 2: side quote unquote Why because well, they were part of
- 1:35Speaker 2: the coup. A source familiar with the situation said, quote
- 1:38Speaker 2: it would not be helpful, helpful to their relationships quote unquote.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Fox has told this plan came together to avoid the
- 1:45Speaker 2: optics of Harris still serving as Biden's VP, appearing alongside
- 1:50Speaker 2: one of the figures he views as responsible for driving
- 1:54Speaker 2: him out of office, driving the end of his reelection
- 1:56Speaker 2: bid at the very convention which was suppose to be
- 2:01Speaker 2: his only weeks ago. Quote, we are in tricky territory,
- 2:05Speaker 2: the source said to Fox. Now, I find a little
- 2:08Speaker 2: bit of hope in this because you mentioned the media.
- 2:12Speaker 2: You mentioned everything's supposed to be kumbaya, but there's still
- 2:16Speaker 2: a lot going on behind the scenes. There are still people,
- 2:19Speaker 2: by the way, and I tweeted this out when I
- 2:21Speaker 2: was watching Michelle Obama and she came out. I said,
- 2:24Speaker 2: go and compare the crowd noise and the excitement when
- 2:29Speaker 2: Michelle Obama walked out to when Kamwa Harris walked out.
- 2:32Speaker 2: And they love Michelle more than they love their president
- 2:34Speaker 2: for their candidate for the White House.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Well, look that's clearly true.
- 2:39Speaker 4: And you and I eleven months ago predicted number one,
- 2:42Speaker 4: that Joe Biden the Democrats would throw them off the ticket.
- 2:44Speaker 3: We were right on that.
- 2:46Speaker 4: But number two, I predicted that they would replace him
- 2:49Speaker 4: with Michelle Obama. Now I gotta say, if they had,
- 2:54Speaker 4: I think their odds of winning would be very, very high.
- 2:58Speaker 4: If I were a Democrat, I would have been all
- 3:00Speaker 4: in on the team Michelle, because Michelle would have been
- 3:03Speaker 4: an incredibly formidable candidate. I think they tried to convince
- 3:08Speaker 4: Michelle to do it. I think she said no. And
- 3:11Speaker 4: you and I talked about at the time what would
- 3:12Speaker 4: prevent that, and I said two things would prevent that.
- 3:15Speaker 4: One if Joe refused to go, and I think he
- 3:18Speaker 4: did refuse to go for a month after month after
- 3:20Speaker 4: month until they finally forced him out by threatening the
- 3:22Speaker 4: twenty fifth Amendment. And then I said, number two, maybe,
- 3:25Speaker 4: just maybe Michelle would say no. Why because she likes
- 3:29Speaker 4: to take more than she needs. Why because she likes
- 3:31Speaker 4: to fly on a G five. Why because she likes
- 3:34Speaker 4: Martha's vineyard. Why because she likes to party with Oprah
- 3:37Speaker 4: Winfrey and George Clooney. Why because she lives the life
- 3:40Speaker 4: of a movie star and so decided not to do that.
- 3:44Speaker 4: Now I'm grateful for America that she did, because, as
- 3:48Speaker 4: I said, she would have been an incredibly dangerous candidate.
- 3:51Speaker 4: But I got to say, listening last night to Michelle
- 3:53Speaker 4: Obama and listening to Barack Obama, those two may be
- 3:58Speaker 4: the two most dangerous demagogues our country has seen in
- 4:03Speaker 4: a generation. Barack Obama, listening to him talk, that man
- 4:08Speaker 4: is a talented communicator. I disagree with him on virtually
- 4:12Speaker 4: every issue. I think Barack Obama is the progenitor of
- 4:17Speaker 4: the Marxist takeover of the Democrat Party.
- 4:19Speaker 3: I think that is his ideology.
- 4:22Speaker 4: It is born of the radical extremism in our universities.
- 4:28Speaker 4: But he can dress it up in a way that
- 4:31Speaker 4: it doesn't sound extreme. It is dangerous. And I'll say
- 4:34Speaker 4: one thing I thought about last night during the convention.
- 4:37Speaker 4: Thank God for the twenty second Amendment. Thank God for
- 4:41Speaker 4: the limitation of two terms as a president, because if
- 4:45Speaker 4: Barack Obama were still running, he might be president for
- 4:49Speaker 4: another decade. And so I'm grateful that he can't formally
- 4:52Speaker 4: have the job. But he remains incredibly potent and incredibly
- 4:56Speaker 4: dangerous because he masks up extreme ras in a way
- 5:01Speaker 4: that seems innocuous, that seems non threatening, and it seems
- 5:06Speaker 4: very hip and very cool.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Well, I stop watching it.
- 5:09Speaker 2: He literally demonized Republicans for thirty one minutes and then
- 5:14Speaker 2: called for unity. I mean, who can do that unless
- 5:19Speaker 2: you're an incredibly talented politician where you trash the other side.
- 5:23Speaker 2: And by the way, I'm still waiting for somebody in
- 5:25Speaker 2: prime time to say they're glad that Donald Trump is
- 5:27Speaker 2: alive and wasn't and wasn't assassinated. That's not ever, that
- 5:31Speaker 2: hasn't come out of anybody's mouth.
- 5:33Speaker 4: Now they're trying to gas gas like that and and
- 5:37Speaker 4: just completely erase it from public consciousness that it even happened.
- 5:42Speaker 2: And and here we are two other questions I want
- 5:44Speaker 2: to dive into real quick. I haven't seen a lot
- 5:47Speaker 2: of American flags of the Democratic Convention, except if they're
- 5:51Speaker 2: being burnt outside of the DNC. Democratic supporters are there
- 5:56Speaker 2: burning the American flag. We are seeing a I would
- 6:00Speaker 2: argue a fair amount of arrests. We've had a second
- 6:03Speaker 2: perimeter wall that's had to be put up because of
- 6:05Speaker 2: the pro Hamas pro terrorist protesters were able to break
- 6:09Speaker 2: through the first wall yesterday and the Chicago police. You know,
- 6:14Speaker 2: for Democrats, they're all about defund the police until they
- 6:17Speaker 2: needed to protect their convention. And many of the Democrats
- 6:21Speaker 2: are being protected by these police are the same ones
- 6:23Speaker 2: that have been demonizing and attacking the police. One of them,
- 6:26Speaker 2: by the way, is Kamway Harris. Let's not let her
- 6:28Speaker 2: off the hook for that. And we also found out
- 6:31Speaker 2: from the people in charge they said, don't worry if
- 6:34Speaker 2: it's a misdemeanor, no one's going to be charged of
- 6:36Speaker 2: any crime.
- 6:37Speaker 1: So go out there and do what you want during
- 6:38Speaker 1: the convention.
- 6:40Speaker 4: So I think it's worth asking yourself why is it
- 6:43Speaker 4: that anti Israel pro Hamas protesters burn the American flag?
- 6:51Speaker 4: And the reason is simple, those who hate Israel hate America.
- 6:57Speaker 4: And when you unders stand that simple reality, it tells
- 7:03Speaker 4: you an enormous part amount about the delegates that are
- 7:07Speaker 4: in that convention hall. Why is Josh Shapiro, not Kamala
- 7:11Speaker 4: Harris's VP nominee answer, because he's Jewish, and Kamala Harris
- 7:17Speaker 4: and the Democrat Party did not want to piss off
- 7:20Speaker 4: the angry protesters outside who are burning American flags. That
- 7:25Speaker 4: is more and more the base of the Democrat Party.
- 7:27Speaker 4: And understand, they don't just hate Israel, they hate America
- 7:32Speaker 4: as well.
- 7:33Speaker 2: All right, so let's look ahead into the political crystal ball. Senator,
- 7:39Speaker 2: you still have a candidate that the Democratic Party isn't
- 7:44Speaker 2: that excited about that. Behind the scenes, they're worried and
- 7:48Speaker 2: nervous that the coronation is now coming back down to
- 7:52Speaker 2: the reality, which is she was not liked as a
- 7:55Speaker 2: vice president for the last three and a half years.
- 7:58Speaker 2: She was not liked as a presidential candidate either, and
- 8:02Speaker 2: was like one of the first ones out of the race.
- 8:05Speaker 2: And now she's back in prime time. What does she
- 8:09Speaker 2: have to do to sell herself to the American people?
- 8:11Speaker 2: Can she overcome all of that? Or are they just
- 8:14Speaker 2: screwed because Harris is at the end of the day
- 8:16Speaker 2: still Harris.
- 8:18Speaker 4: Well, look, they're motivated by two things. Number one, a
- 8:22Speaker 4: lust for power, and Democrats are united in a lust
- 8:26Speaker 4: for power. They are willing to do just about anything
- 8:30Speaker 4: to stay in power. They were perfectly willing to be
- 8:33Speaker 4: behind a president who is all but comatose. They knew that,
- 8:38Speaker 4: everybody knew that, and yet it kept them in power.
- 8:42Speaker 4: So it was just fine with them to have a
- 8:44Speaker 4: commander in chief who was not capable of defending this nation.
- 8:49Speaker 4: By the way, it's also why they're willing to embrace
- 8:52Speaker 4: policies like open borders and the invasion of this country
- 8:55Speaker 4: because they look at eleven and a half million million
- 8:57Speaker 4: illegal immigrants as future Democrat voters, and so power justifies everything.
- 9:02Speaker 4: And this is a Democrat party that they follow orders.
- 9:08Speaker 4: They they are collectivists, they are authoritarians, so they all
- 9:11Speaker 4: follow orders. So everyone is on team Kamala. By the way,
- 9:15Speaker 4: I don't think you're going to hear much complaining, even
- 9:17Speaker 4: from the Biden circles about him being forced out, because
- 9:20Speaker 4: when they crack the whip, this is a party that
- 9:23Speaker 4: everybody gets on board, even Joe Biden after he's been
- 9:27Speaker 4: put out to pasture. But secondly, what is going to
- 9:30Speaker 4: motivate Democrats in this election hatred for Donald J.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Trump.
- 9:33Speaker 4: It's why the word Trump is the most frequent word
- 9:37Speaker 4: uttered at the convention, because that's what they're all unified.
- 9:41Speaker 4: They might disagree on other things, but they all agree
- 9:44Speaker 4: we hate Trump. Those two things are going to motivate
- 9:48Speaker 4: a lot of Democrats, and we got to make sure
- 9:51Speaker 4: that the American people are focused on the issues, focused
- 9:53Speaker 4: on the policy, focused on the substance, focused on the
- 9:57Speaker 4: utter failures of Kamala Harris and Joe biden I's policies
- 10:01Speaker 4: and how they've hurt the American people.
- 10:03Speaker 3: If we can focus on the issues, we win.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Now, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation,
- 10:08Speaker 2: you can go back and listen to the full podcast
- 10:11Speaker 2: from earlier this week. Now onto story number two. You know,
- 10:16Speaker 2: when you have a convention, it's always about play the hits, right,
- 10:18Speaker 2: And they're gonna have a lot of people that come
- 10:20Speaker 2: in and a lot of people that quote unquote play
- 10:24Speaker 2: the hits. It's gonna be Barack Obama, it's gonna be
- 10:28Speaker 2: Michelle Obama, it's going to be every famous person that
- 10:31Speaker 2: they want to throw up there. It's going to be
- 10:32Speaker 2: the Clintons. They're gonna clearly, I think play the hits.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Is that a smart strategy, even if it kind of
- 10:40Speaker 2: takes her off stage a little bit.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Is that actually a better idea because.
- 10:45Speaker 2: Then it's not all about her, it's more about the
- 10:48Speaker 2: kumbaiism of the Democrats.
- 10:50Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 10:51Speaker 4: Look, they don't want to actually talk about Joe Biden's record,
- 10:56Speaker 4: and so playing the hits, playing Barack, playing Michelle. You
- 11:01Speaker 4: know they're going to have Bill Clinton and have some
- 11:03Speaker 4: nostalgia that they're going to talk about, Hey, things were
- 11:07Speaker 4: great when we were in charge. Bizarrely enough, they're trying
- 11:11Speaker 4: to run as the change campaign despite the fact that
- 11:15Speaker 4: the Democrats are the incumbent party. What is so bizarre,
- 11:18Speaker 4: But every time Kamala proposes something is okay, if she
- 11:21Speaker 4: could magically lower prices in grocery stores, why isn't she
- 11:27Speaker 4: doing so right now? Like she's in office, Like there's
- 11:31Speaker 4: nothing preventing her. If there is this magic wand is
- 11:35Speaker 4: she just mean does she just like high grocery prices? No,
- 11:40Speaker 4: it's complete nonsense. But no one in the press is asking,
- 11:42Speaker 4: wait a second, you are in office. You don't get
- 11:45Speaker 4: to say, here's my great idea. You know, we're watching
- 11:49Speaker 4: her emulate Trump's policies, things like copying no taxes on tips.
- 11:56Speaker 3: Well, she's been.
- 11:57Speaker 4: In office for four years, Why haven't they proposed it?
- 12:00Speaker 4: I filed legislation to do that. Where's the White House?
- 12:03Speaker 4: That that they are simply trying to ignore the fact
- 12:09Speaker 4: that they are the incumbent administration. You're you're going to
- 12:14Speaker 4: see a lot of that. There's there's something else that
- 12:17Speaker 4: I think it's important for us to point out. We've
- 12:20Speaker 4: talked a lot about how Democrats engage in Freudian projection.
- 12:25Speaker 4: I think Sigmund freud is is is rolling over in
- 12:29Speaker 4: his grave that every single thing the Democrats accuse their
- 12:34Speaker 4: opponents of doing, every single thing, is in fact what
- 12:38Speaker 4: the Democrats are doing. Now, Ben, what was the adjective
- 12:42Speaker 4: that that Tim Waltz famously used for Republicans, especially jd
- 12:46Speaker 4: Vance weird, weird and by the way, like joy he
- 12:51Speaker 4: said weird, And suddenly every every corporate meet outlet weird, weird, weird, weird,
- 12:55Speaker 4: We're weird, weird, We're weird. That became the you know,
- 12:57Speaker 4: weird is the word. I'm gonna can we just you
- 13:02Speaker 4: just mentioned weird. Doug Enhoff today said something that was
- 13:07Speaker 4: weird referring to Harrison Waltter.
- 13:10Speaker 1: You were sitting behind him.
- 13:11Speaker 3: Listen, and again, we really bonded.
- 13:12Speaker 5: You saw me get up on that stage and we
- 13:15Speaker 5: just hugged it out. A few of my friends texted me,
- 13:17Speaker 5: It's like, what's the deal. Like, I've known you for
- 13:20Speaker 5: twenty or thirty years, You've never hugged me like that. Well,
- 13:24Speaker 5: you've never been a vice presidential candidate before on stage.
- 13:28Speaker 2: By the way, that's weird. That is just something weird
- 13:31Speaker 2: to say. If you want to talk weird. And that's
- 13:32Speaker 2: the Harris campaign.
- 13:34Speaker 4: Okay, and I got that beat. I'm going to give
- 13:37Speaker 4: you something really bizarre. This is a headline from this week.
- 13:43Speaker 4: DNC attendees will have opportunities for free vasectoms abortions.
- 13:52Speaker 3: Here's the news article.
- 13:54Speaker 4: Attendees at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, we'll have
- 13:57Speaker 4: the opportunity to receive free vissectomies in a just blocks
- 14:01Speaker 4: away from the proceedings at the United Center. Planned parenthooded
- 14:04Speaker 4: Great Rivers, which operates in parts of Missouri and Illinois,
- 14:08Speaker 4: will park its mobile health clinic near the DNC on
- 14:11Speaker 4: October nineteenth and August nineteenth and August twentieth. According to
- 14:15Speaker 4: The New York Times, medication abortions are reportedly available on
- 14:18Speaker 4: both days, with vasectoms exclusively being offered on Monday. We
- 14:24Speaker 4: clip them Monday's and in fact, here's the tweet. Here
- 14:27Speaker 4: we come Chicago, our mobile health clinic will be in
- 14:30Speaker 4: the West Loop providing free vasectoms and medication abortion. Okay, Ben,
- 14:37Speaker 4: that is weird a political convention. We're going to nominate
- 14:42Speaker 4: our presidential nominee. You go to Chicago, what for you
- 14:47Speaker 4: want a free vasectomy and free abortion?
- 14:50Speaker 3: Like these people are zealots.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not just weird, it's also, I would argue,
- 14:58Speaker 2: creepy on a whole other level, because they're actually celebrating
- 15:03Speaker 2: the fact that you can come to the Democratic convintion
- 15:06Speaker 2: with child and leave without a child. And that is
- 15:10Speaker 2: now the Democratic Party Planned Parenthood actually put it out.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Not only are they offering free abortions and the sectomies
- 15:18Speaker 2: of the DNC, but they said they've like maxed out
- 15:21Speaker 2: of appointments apparently for the vaseectomies, and they said we've
- 15:25Speaker 2: got unlimited however, medical abortions, medication abortion. So just keep
- 15:31Speaker 2: on coming, ladies with your babies. The DNC come with
- 15:35Speaker 2: a child and leave without one. That's sick, all right,
- 15:39Speaker 2: all right, it is certainly sick. And you think about
- 15:42Speaker 2: how far the Democrat Party has come. Bill Clinton stood
- 15:45Speaker 2: up in the State of the Union and he said,
- 15:48Speaker 2: as a Democrat, he wanted abortion to be safe, legal,
- 15:52Speaker 2: and rare. There was a time when Democrats would acknowledge
- 15:57Speaker 2: that abortion was the taking of a life, and they
- 16:00Speaker 2: defended it. But but, but but they didn't celebrate it.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Now this Democrat Party is all about abortion all the time.
- 16:11Speaker 2: It's it's it's it's a reason to dance in the streets.
- 16:15Speaker 2: That is just how extreme the Democrat Party has gone.
- 16:20Speaker 2: But but I am going to say something. I'm gonna
- 16:21Speaker 2: go out on a limb. There's actually a portion of
- 16:24Speaker 2: this I support.
- 16:26Speaker 4: I support every delegate at the DNC getting of a sectomy.
- 16:31Speaker 4: I think that I think the world will be better
- 16:34Speaker 4: off if these people don't reproduce. Now, look, half of
- 16:37Speaker 4: them are not actually gonna have conjugal relations with someone
- 16:40Speaker 4: of the opposite sex, and so they probably won't reproduce anyway.
- 16:42Speaker 4: But I'm for let's just let's just stop it now.
- 16:47Speaker 4: I'm really grateful. I would encourage you're a bad Democrat
- 16:52Speaker 4: delegate if you don't get snipped center.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Let me ask you two final questions.
- 16:56Speaker 2: One what do you expect from the PEE candidate this week?
- 17:02Speaker 2: Is that part of the campaign kind of gonna disappear?
- 17:05Speaker 2: I mean, we saw the excitement of the DNC and
- 17:08Speaker 2: all the Democrats had over at walls.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Now is he just kind of okay? Next? Number one?
- 17:14Speaker 2: Will that be an issue? And number two Harris is speech?
- 17:20Speaker 2: How important is this speech to her future?
- 17:24Speaker 3: Well?
- 17:24Speaker 4: Look, I think Tim Waltz. Tim Waltz will have a
- 17:26Speaker 4: major primetime speech and they're gonna do a lot to
- 17:31Speaker 4: tell the narrative of him as nice old grandpa, your
- 17:38Speaker 4: favorite teacher.
- 17:39Speaker 3: They're gonna call him coach a lot.
- 17:41Speaker 4: He's gonna be coach, coach, coach, and it's gonna be
- 17:45Speaker 4: I mean, think mister Hollins opus. It is gonna be
- 17:49Speaker 4: telling the narrative of a nice, you know, genial, affable
- 17:54Speaker 4: teacher who just mentored young people and he coached them
- 17:58Speaker 4: on the football team and and he's just They're gonna
- 18:02Speaker 4: do everything they can to make it sunshine and light
- 18:05Speaker 4: and joy. They will not, I predict, have him play
- 18:10Speaker 4: the typical role of attack dog that VP candidates often do.
- 18:16Speaker 4: They'll do a little bit of that, and it'll mostly
- 18:18Speaker 4: be attacking Trump and Trump and and Dvance. I think
- 18:23Speaker 4: you'll get some of He'll use his line that they're
- 18:26Speaker 4: weird because that kind of made his name. But I
- 18:31Speaker 4: think they will try to just pitch him as utterly harmless,
- 18:35Speaker 4: and they will talk nothing about the radical policies. You
- 18:39Speaker 4: will not hear about the snitch line he's set up
- 18:44Speaker 4: to report on your neighbors if they violated his draconian
- 18:47Speaker 4: stay at home order. You will not hear about his
- 18:50Speaker 4: order to put tampons in the boy's bathroom at school
- 18:53Speaker 4: because you know, boys really do need tampons. You won't
- 18:56Speaker 4: hear any of that. You will not hear when they
- 18:59Speaker 4: tell his life about the romantic honeymoon he enjoyed in
- 19:03Speaker 4: communist China. None of those extreme positions, none of the
- 19:07Speaker 4: weird aspects of his life will be highlighted. As for
- 19:11Speaker 4: her speech, Look, this speech is a big deal, and
- 19:15Speaker 4: I think she will give a good speech. I think
- 19:18Speaker 4: Republicans that are all eger o. She's going to fall
- 19:21Speaker 4: on her face. Listen at the convention. She's done a
- 19:24Speaker 4: pretty good job at at the rally. She reads from
- 19:27Speaker 4: the teleprompter just fine, and they'll write her a good speech.
- 19:31Speaker 4: They've got some amazing storytellers in the Democrat Party, and
- 19:35Speaker 4: it is going to be all None of it is
- 19:39Speaker 4: going to take responsibility for the disastrous and failed record
- 19:42Speaker 4: of the last four years. But it is all going
- 19:45Speaker 4: to be hope and change and joy. And you know,
- 19:50Speaker 4: I think she will deliver it just fine. She's at
- 19:54Speaker 4: much much greater risk when she's ad libbing, when she's
- 19:57Speaker 4: answering questions and being pressed. That will not happened this week,
- 20:01Speaker 4: So she'll read the speech just fine as before.
- 20:04Speaker 2: If you want to hear the rest of this conversation
- 20:06Speaker 2: on this topic, you can go back and down the
- 20:09Speaker 2: podcast from earlier this week to hear the entire thing.
- 20:13Speaker 2: I want to get back to the big story number
- 20:15Speaker 2: three of the week you may have missed. It's interesting
- 20:18Speaker 2: that you said they need to lay at these facts
- 20:19Speaker 2: and the rapid response from the Trump campaign. I think
- 20:22Speaker 2: did a pretty damn good job during the Democratic Convention
- 20:25Speaker 2: laying some of this out, because right at the end
- 20:27Speaker 2: of her speech, they sent out a picture with Kamala
- 20:32Speaker 2: Harris next to Joe Biden and it said Biden Harris accomplishments,
- 20:36Speaker 2: and here it was the bullet points allowed fifteen million
- 20:39Speaker 2: unveted legals into the country, historic inflation crisis, record high
- 20:44Speaker 2: gas prices in all fifty states, record high consumer debt,
- 20:48Speaker 2: released terrorists into the country, Ukraine, Russia War, Israel, Humaswar disaster,
- 20:55Speaker 2: to withdrawal from Afghanistan, violent crime, skyrocketing, right to jail,
- 21:00Speaker 2: political rival in the name of democracy, lied to the
- 21:04Speaker 2: American public about Joe's decline, and I think we should
- 21:08Speaker 2: talk about that. In a second, center declared war on
- 21:11Speaker 2: American energy. Record low test scores in this country right
- 21:15Speaker 2: now for Kate through twelve students. And she was also
- 21:20Speaker 2: the most unpopular vice president in US history. Now there's
- 21:25Speaker 2: a trust factor here, and I'm not so sure that
- 21:29Speaker 2: the Trump campaign has done a good enough job of
- 21:32Speaker 2: talking about this issue, and I think they should actually
- 21:34Speaker 2: talk about it more, especially at the debate coming up.
- 21:37Speaker 2: Is how can we trust you when you clearly covered
- 21:41Speaker 2: up the cognitive decline of the president of the United
- 21:43Speaker 2: States of America. I think that would resonate with American voters.
- 21:47Speaker 2: Can I trust a woman that clearly lied to me
- 21:51Speaker 2: for three years?
- 21:52Speaker 4: Yeah, I guess I don't see it the same way
- 21:55Speaker 4: you do. I think most voters are cynical to politicians
- 21:59Speaker 4: across the board think they think all politicians are liars,
- 22:02Speaker 4: and so did Kamala Harris lie to the American people
- 22:06Speaker 4: for four years? Absolutely? Did she cover up Joe Biden's
- 22:09Speaker 4: mental decline? Absolutely, I'm not sure that changes a vote, though.
- 22:13Speaker 4: I think that's a little bit baked into the cake.
- 22:17Speaker 4: What I would like to see the conversation on. I
- 22:19Speaker 4: think every election turns on the most basic question, are
- 22:22Speaker 4: you better off.
- 22:23Speaker 3: Than you were four years ago?
- 22:25Speaker 1: A man?
- 22:25Speaker 4: And when the Trump campaign gets distracted by issues that
- 22:31Speaker 4: are not about how the American people's lives are worse
- 22:34Speaker 4: off today than they were when Trump was president. If
- 22:38Speaker 4: the campaign gets distracted, it's not making progress. I think
- 22:43Speaker 4: it needs to focus every day. And by the way,
- 22:45Speaker 4: look that set of bullet points that the campaign put
- 22:48Speaker 4: out last night. That was a good set of bullet points.
- 22:52Speaker 4: That needs to be very much what Donald Trump is
- 22:57Speaker 4: saying on the stump, what he's saying and interviews, what
- 23:00Speaker 4: their ads are saying. And one of the points in
- 23:02Speaker 4: there that has not gotten enough attention is the plummeting
- 23:06Speaker 4: test scores for kids, and especially African American kids and
- 23:10Speaker 4: Hispanic kids.
- 23:12Speaker 3: And you know, it was striking tonight at the convention.
- 23:14Speaker 4: Earlier in the convention, before Kamala spoke, they had Randy Weiningarten,
- 23:21Speaker 4: the leader of one of the big teachers unions, who
- 23:23Speaker 4: advocated for shutting down schools for over a year. Tens
- 23:28Speaker 4: of millions of school kids had their schools shut down
- 23:31Speaker 4: for over a year because of COVID. Kamala was a
- 23:34Speaker 4: vocal and vigorous advocate of that, and it will go
- 23:38Speaker 4: down I believe in history as one of the most
- 23:40Speaker 4: catastrophic policies ever implemented that hurt tens of millions of
- 23:45Speaker 4: children across this country. I think we need to make
- 23:48Speaker 4: that case that kids have been hurt by her radical policies.
- 23:52Speaker 4: And you overlay that by her radical immigration policies that
- 23:56Speaker 4: are releasing violent criminals that are threatening kids. You overlay
- 23:59Speaker 4: that with their radical policies supporting defunding the police that
- 24:03Speaker 4: are releasing violent criminals that are threatening our kids. Look,
- 24:08Speaker 4: much of this election is going to come down to
- 24:12Speaker 4: suburban voters and suburban women who historically have voted Republican
- 24:20Speaker 4: and in recent years have moved left. And suburban women
- 24:26Speaker 4: in recent elections have not been fans of Trump personally
- 24:30Speaker 4: of his style. However, you look at the number one
- 24:35Speaker 4: issue with suburban women. It is illegal immigration and it
- 24:40Speaker 4: is crime. Those two together and it goes fundamentally to
- 24:44Speaker 4: the safety of their families, the safety of their kids.
- 24:47Speaker 4: And I think litigating that case, making the case that
- 24:51Speaker 4: Kamala Harris has endangered your family and your children, is
- 24:57Speaker 4: really important. I also mention on the disconnected from reality.
- 25:02Speaker 4: You know, Kamala went through this whole litany that Trump
- 25:05Speaker 4: is going to lock up his opponents and wage war
- 25:09Speaker 4: on you and send American troops against the American people,
- 25:15Speaker 4: and it really was a dystopian Mad Max picture of
- 25:19Speaker 4: Trump as a deranged dictator. And listen, that's the kind
- 25:23Speaker 4: of rhetoric that sells well with left wing Democrats, but
- 25:28Speaker 4: it ignores the fact that we had four years with
- 25:32Speaker 4: Donald Trump as president. He didn't do any of that.
- 25:36Speaker 4: For that matter, the party that has done much of
- 25:39Speaker 4: that has been Joe Biden and Kamala Harris that have
- 25:42Speaker 4: used the Department of Justice and the FBI to attack
- 25:45Speaker 4: their political opponents over and over and over again, especially
- 25:49Speaker 4: Donald Trump, but also pro life activists, also individual conservatives
- 25:53Speaker 4: engaged in free speech. That they've engaged in the most
- 25:56Speaker 4: massive effort of censorship in bed with big tech and
- 26:02Speaker 4: making that case that, look, we know what a Trump
- 26:05Speaker 4: presidency is like, We've been through it, and in almost
- 26:10Speaker 4: every circumstance, the lives of Americans were better when Trump
- 26:15Speaker 4: was president than they are now. That contrast, every day
- 26:19Speaker 4: between now an election day needs to be front.
- 26:21Speaker 2: And center center. I got two questions I want to
- 26:23Speaker 2: ask you. One of them goes back to are the
- 26:27Speaker 2: American people dumb enough? Or are they going to be
- 26:29Speaker 2: offended by one of the things that Kamala Harris said.
- 26:33Speaker 1: She said she accepted.
- 26:34Speaker 2: The Democrats nomination on behalf of the people. No one
- 26:39Speaker 2: voted for this woman, No one.
- 26:42Speaker 6: Be clear. My entire career, I've only had one client,
- 26:47Speaker 6: the people, and so on.
- 26:54Speaker 3: Behalf of the people.
- 26:58Speaker 2: On.
- 26:58Speaker 6: Behalf of every American, regardless of party, race, gender, or
- 27:06Speaker 6: the language of grandmother speaks.
- 27:10Speaker 1: On.
- 27:10Speaker 6: Behalf of my mother and everyone who has ever set
- 27:15Speaker 6: out on their own unlikely journey.
- 27:21Speaker 4: On.
- 27:21Speaker 6: Behalf of Americans, like the people I grew up with,
- 27:26Speaker 6: people who work hard, chase their dreams, and look out
- 27:31Speaker 6: for one another. On. Behalf of everyone whose story could
- 27:37Speaker 6: only be written in the greatest nation on Earth. I
- 27:44Speaker 6: accept your nomination to be president in the United States.
- 27:51Speaker 1: Senator.
- 27:51Speaker 2: Great story, great words, great speech writing, thoes this one problem,
- 27:56Speaker 2: no one voted for her.
- 27:59Speaker 4: You know, I got to say again, I don't think
- 28:01Speaker 4: that's an issue that actually is going to move a
- 28:04Speaker 4: single vote today.
- 28:05Speaker 3: So the people that.
- 28:06Speaker 4: Would be mad that no one voted for are the
- 28:09Speaker 4: Democrats who voted for Joe Biden and other than Joseph
- 28:14Speaker 4: Robinette Biden Jr. Jill Biden, and Hunter Biden. I don't
- 28:19Speaker 4: know that there is a fourth Democrat in America that
- 28:22Speaker 4: is mad right now. Every one of them is thrilled
- 28:26Speaker 4: and relieved that they don't have what they perceived as
- 28:30Speaker 4: the millstone around their neck that was Joe Biden bringing
- 28:33Speaker 4: them to a certain loss, and they all believe they
- 28:36Speaker 4: now have a real chance at victory in November. So
- 28:40Speaker 4: there's not a single voter on the Democrats side of
- 28:43Speaker 4: the aisle who is angry that they are disenfranchised, and
- 28:47Speaker 4: I think anybody else, frankly doesn't care. So that riff,
- 28:53Speaker 4: To be honest, I thought that riff was pretty effective.
- 28:56Speaker 4: I thought it was well written. She did a good
- 28:58Speaker 4: job of leaning into to her record as Attorney general.
- 29:02Speaker 4: You notice, by the way, there was essentially not a
- 29:04Speaker 4: word about her time as senator. I served with her
- 29:06Speaker 4: in the US Senate for man.
- 29:08Speaker 1: I mean, there was nothing there was I was going
- 29:10Speaker 1: to ask you about that.
- 29:12Speaker 4: She was the most liberal senator in the entire US Senate.
- 29:15Speaker 4: She voted to the left of Bernie Sanders and to
- 29:19Speaker 4: the left of Elizabeth Warren. That is hard to do.
- 29:23Speaker 4: I served with Bernie and Elizabeth. They're both really whacked
- 29:27Speaker 4: out on the far left, and Kamala was further left.
- 29:30Speaker 4: Remember Kamala as a senator. In one hearing, she compared
- 29:33Speaker 4: ice are our immigration agents with to the KKK, which
- 29:38Speaker 4: was grotesque and offensive, and all of that she just erased. Instead,
- 29:43Speaker 4: she leaned into her time and by the way, she
- 29:46Speaker 4: she largely erased her time as DA as well, because
- 29:49Speaker 4: her time as DA was a train wreck. She basically
- 29:52Speaker 4: leaned into her time as Attorney general. And I got
- 29:55Speaker 4: to tell you, state attorneys general, it is a great
- 29:58Speaker 4: job because a state ag le you bring cases that
- 30:01Speaker 4: are really politically popular that you could lean in on.
- 30:04Speaker 4: So she could say I fought on behalf of the elderly,
- 30:07Speaker 4: on behalf of veterans. Anyone who's been an AG could
- 30:10Speaker 4: give that same litany, but it's a pretty effective litany
- 30:13Speaker 4: and saying you know, she described going to court and saying,
- 30:16Speaker 4: Kamala Harris for the people. I got to say, having
- 30:19Speaker 4: spent five and a half years as Solicitor General of Texas,
- 30:23Speaker 4: any time I was in court and and and and
- 30:26Speaker 4: and say ted Cruz for the state of Texas. Look,
- 30:30Speaker 4: that would send send a chill down your spine. I
- 30:34Speaker 4: understood what she was saying when she was saying that,
- 30:36Speaker 4: and I thought rhetorically that was effective. Now the response
- 30:42Speaker 4: goes back to what we said before. The response is, well,
- 30:46Speaker 4: what have her policies done for the people? And they
- 30:49Speaker 4: have hurt the people over and over and over again.
- 30:54Speaker 4: Her record as Senator and her record as as Vice
- 30:58Speaker 4: President has been Kamala harre Us for the criminals, Kamala
- 31:03Speaker 4: Harris for the drug cartels, Kamala Harris for the human traffickers,
- 31:07Speaker 4: Kamala Harris for the Ayatola, Kamala Harris for Hamas and Hesbela.
- 31:13Speaker 4: Because the money she sent to the Ayatola went to
- 31:15Speaker 4: Amas and Hesbela. Kamala Harris for communist China. There was
- 31:19Speaker 4: virtually not a word about China. And this entire speech
- 31:22Speaker 4: because this administration's been in bed with China from day one.
- 31:26Speaker 4: Her record has consistently been siding with everybody except the
- 31:32Speaker 4: American people. But in order for that point to be made,
- 31:36Speaker 4: its incumbent on the Trump campaign to make that point
- 31:39Speaker 4: because the media, sure as heck isn't as always.
