- 2:05Speaker 2: are listening to the voice, come on dig me now,
- 2:09Speaker 2: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man
- 2:13Speaker 2: o man o man. Hey, you know today, I just
- 2:19Speaker 2: want to say something that I don't think I've ever
- 2:25Speaker 2: shared this way before. The The title is very simple,
- 2:35Speaker 2: and that is it's been worth it to me, you
- 2:41Speaker 2: know I I just I just kept thinking that this morning,
- 2:46Speaker 2: that it's all been worth it to me. And what
- 2:50Speaker 2: I mean by that is this relationship that I have
- 2:55Speaker 2: with my heavenly father, it's been worth it to me.
- 3:01Speaker 2: I can't even tell you the value that it has
- 3:06Speaker 2: had in my life. I can't tell you how it's
- 3:13Speaker 2: helped me to understand not only my purpose, but to
- 3:19Speaker 2: better understand my past. That's critical, man, because I'm grateful
- 3:28Speaker 2: for that, because so many people can't get beyond their
- 3:32Speaker 2: past and event a set of circumstances, some calamity that
- 3:38Speaker 2: besets them. Maybe it's been grief something, but it ties
- 3:42Speaker 2: so many people up. It's been so worth it to me.
- 3:48Speaker 2: It is, man, it's been worth having someone to go
- 3:56Speaker 2: to when no one else was there. Do you understand
- 4:02Speaker 2: what I'm saying? It has? It has given me a
- 4:06Speaker 2: place to go when no one else has been there. Oh,
- 4:13Speaker 2: hey man, we pulling for you. Hey man, hanging there,
- 4:17Speaker 2: Hey man, keep your head up. All of that. But
- 4:21Speaker 2: I gotta tell you, man, you get yourself in some
- 4:25Speaker 2: circumstances and situations in this thing called life, when no
- 4:28Speaker 2: one can help you but God, When the only person
- 4:32Speaker 2: that could possibly understand or know what you're feeling is God.
- 4:37Speaker 2: The only person that will sit there with you through
- 4:40Speaker 2: it all and understand everything about it has been God.
- 4:46Speaker 2: It's been worth it to me, Man, It's it's been
- 4:50Speaker 2: worth it to me. It's been the biggest improvement in
- 4:56Speaker 2: my life. I mean, man, as I look back over
- 5:00Speaker 2: my life, man, forming a strong bond with God has
- 5:05Speaker 2: been the most beneficial thing to me. You know, these
- 5:10Speaker 2: things you read in your in your in in writings
- 5:14Speaker 2: in the Bible or or whatever you're reading. You know,
- 5:17Speaker 2: when you when you read scriptures and things of that nature.
- 5:20Speaker 2: It it's it's been around a long time. It holds
- 5:27Speaker 2: so much truth to it. I mean, man, it's like,
- 5:31Speaker 2: how could this have been written so long ago and
- 5:36Speaker 2: still pertained directly to today? I mean that that's amazing.
- 5:42Speaker 2: That is amazing to me.
- 5:45Speaker 3: That.
- 5:46Speaker 2: I mean, that has to be God at work to
- 5:49Speaker 2: have written something so complete, so dead on point that
- 5:57Speaker 2: if you read it today it means exactly what pertains
- 6:03Speaker 2: to today. That's amazing, man. That's why my spiritual walk
- 6:12Speaker 2: it's just worth it to me. And I keep saying
- 6:14Speaker 2: it's worth it, because if you're sitting out there and
- 6:17Speaker 2: you tripping like I was tripping, deciding, nah, let me
- 6:21Speaker 2: do it. I got a few more things I want
- 6:23Speaker 2: to do. Couple more girls I want to holler at,
- 6:25Speaker 2: couple more things I want to get into. I got
- 6:27Speaker 2: a cup more deals I want to do. I got
- 6:29Speaker 2: a little bit more dirt. I want to roll up
- 6:31Speaker 2: on me a little bit. First. For a while, man,
- 6:33Speaker 2: I wish I had known, I really wish I had
- 6:37Speaker 2: understood exactly what forming a relationship with God would do
- 6:41Speaker 2: for me it's been at worth Every person who out
- 6:47Speaker 2: there who hate know me, that don't even know me,
- 6:51Speaker 2: it's because I have a relationship with him that I'm
- 6:54Speaker 2: fine with that. I don't care for it, but it
- 6:57Speaker 2: ain't gonna stop me though, See, because I know for
- 7:01Speaker 2: a fact that haters make you greater. I know for
- 7:06Speaker 2: a fact that haters validate your mere existence. I know
- 7:12Speaker 2: for a fact that half of them is out of
- 7:15Speaker 2: envy and jealousy because of something you're doing that they
- 7:19Speaker 2: wish they could do or they won't credit for, so
- 7:23Speaker 2: they just nah, I ain't anything all that bam, And
- 7:26Speaker 2: now you just all over the place with people. Man,
- 7:29Speaker 2: I'm so grateful for this relationship that it has not
- 7:34Speaker 2: allowed outside influences that do not have my best interest
- 7:39Speaker 2: at heart to throw me off course. It has just
- 7:44Speaker 2: been worth it. And if you're sitting out there and
- 7:47Speaker 2: you're wondering about the benefits of it, I can't even
- 7:51Speaker 2: tell you what it's like to know that when bad
- 7:55Speaker 2: things are happening to me, the calming peace that I
- 7:58Speaker 2: feel that I know that that's gonna be all right too,
- 8:03Speaker 2: that I know that this too shall pass, that I
- 8:07Speaker 2: know in my heart of hearts man, that there's got
- 8:10Speaker 2: to be a reason for this, and if I can
- 8:12Speaker 2: just hang on in there, he gonna unfold that from
- 8:15Speaker 2: me and he gonna let me see it. But the
- 8:17Speaker 2: number one thing I always know is I'm gonna survive
- 8:21Speaker 2: this one too, that this too shall pass. It has
- 8:24Speaker 2: been worth it to me, man, to have this thing
- 8:28Speaker 2: called faith, which is the belief in things that you
- 8:31Speaker 2: cannot see, and to know man along the way that,
- 8:34Speaker 2: oh my goodness, man, even though I don't know what's next,
- 8:38Speaker 2: or even I'm not really sure about the next step,
- 8:42Speaker 2: I do know for a fact that Samoa is coming.
- 8:45Speaker 2: I do know for a fact. It is a fact
- 8:50Speaker 2: that God will take care of me. It is a
- 8:53Speaker 2: fact that he will never ever leave me or desert me.
- 8:58Speaker 2: If I just stay here where I'm supposed to be.
- 9:01Speaker 2: He's coming. The Calvary's coming over the hill. He coming
- 9:05Speaker 2: over the hill. And when he come over that hill,
- 9:07Speaker 2: he gonna wipe out all this mess down here that's
- 9:10Speaker 2: trying to hurt me. That I don't have to worry
- 9:12Speaker 2: about my enemies anymore, that my enemies that are all
- 9:17Speaker 2: around you can surround me. You can shoot all the
- 9:21Speaker 2: arrows you want now it's not to say that none
- 9:24Speaker 2: of them ain't gonna come close. And I ain't gonna
- 9:27Speaker 2: say that, you know, I ain't gonna be a little
- 9:30Speaker 2: under some pressure, a little nervous about being shot at
- 9:33Speaker 2: so hard. But at the end of the day, I
- 9:35Speaker 2: know this for show. Ain't none of them gonna stick
- 9:37Speaker 2: in me. You can shoot them, but ain't none of
- 9:40Speaker 2: them gonna stick in me. No matter what you do,
- 9:44Speaker 2: no weapon formed against me. Nothing you can't. You can't
- 9:50Speaker 2: do nothing with me. Man, I'm so cool. It's been
- 9:54Speaker 2: worth it for me.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Man, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 12:52Speaker 1: Vegas and that was fabulous to you.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Talk about that. The Lord made me see my ways
- 13:02Speaker 2: a little bit better. He said, oh, you continue this,
- 13:08Speaker 2: you will not be going to heaven. And it didn't
- 13:12Speaker 2: take me long to figure that out.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Uh huh uh huh.
- 13:16Speaker 2: So yeah, I had to cut Vegas out. I don't

- 15:08Speaker 7: This is for the praise dancers out there. Are you
- 15:10Speaker 7: praise dance? Let's come on, come on, here we go.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Cat down.
- 15:14Speaker 8: Hello, this is the day that the Lord has made.
- 15:16Speaker 8: Let us rejoice and be glad. And how you doing?
- 15:18Speaker 8: I'm looking for Uhia, so tia. This is brother Puller
- 15:23Speaker 8: from the church.
- 15:23Speaker 2: How are you?
- 15:24Speaker 9: Oh, I'm with my brother for how are you?
- 15:26Speaker 8: I'm good, I'm good. We wanted to give you a
- 15:29Speaker 8: call about the about the praise dancing that's at the church.
- 15:32Speaker 8: First of all, I wanted to really show you how
- 15:34Speaker 8: much you're doing a great job over there with the
- 15:36Speaker 8: praise dancers and you you definitely do a great job
- 15:38Speaker 8: on every third. Tell you that you guys actually perform.
- 15:41Speaker 8: Everybody seemed to really like it.
- 15:43Speaker 9: Well, thank you, thank you. What can I do for
- 15:45Speaker 9: you today?
- 15:45Speaker 8: There's a bit of a situation with you know, it's
- 15:48Speaker 8: been brought to our attention. We actually had a small gathering,
- 15:51Speaker 8: a little meeting about it and wanted to I've been
- 15:53Speaker 8: elected to actually give you a fall. I'm kid brother Puller,
- 15:59Speaker 8: uh huh and and who had a meeting uh some
- 16:02Speaker 8: of the brothers at the church and uh passed to
- 16:05Speaker 8: actually sat in for a moment on it. And I
- 16:07Speaker 8: was actually elected to actually just give you a call.
- 16:10Speaker 8: Nothing that I don't think we can't get rectified and
- 16:13Speaker 8: and you know, move on smoothly as.
- 16:15Speaker 3: We normally do.
- 16:16Speaker 8: But I just think it's we wanted to reach out
- 16:18Speaker 8: to you and kind of make you aware of it.
- 16:19Speaker 8: If it's if you don't mind, okay, And what.
- 16:23Speaker 10: Things are those?
- 16:24Speaker 8: Well, sister Tania, has any of the praise dancers before
- 16:29Speaker 8: they became praise dancers?
- 16:31Speaker 1: Was was?
- 16:33Speaker 8: Was any of them strippers?
- 16:35Speaker 9: I beg your pardon.
- 16:36Speaker 8: Was any of the praise dancers that at the church
- 16:39Speaker 8: that you have on the praise team right now? Was
- 16:43Speaker 8: any of them strippers in the past.
- 16:44Speaker 9: I'm sorry, sir, I don't I don't really know who
- 16:46Speaker 9: you are, and I don't really understand this line of questions.
- 16:50Speaker 8: Like I said, I'm brother full I don't think we've met.
- 16:53Speaker 8: But uh, like I said, I've been elected to give
- 16:55Speaker 8: you a call now. It seems what happened is this
- 16:58Speaker 8: past week when you all actually danced, it seemed like
- 17:02Speaker 8: a couple of the girls was actually gi rating doing
- 17:05Speaker 8: the praise routine.
- 17:06Speaker 9: Say what gyrating? Brother Phullow, I don't know who you
- 17:09Speaker 9: are and I don't know what you saw. None of
- 17:12Speaker 9: my girls with gy rating, they would dancing for the Lord.
- 17:15Speaker 9: And I think if you look through your Lord's eye,
- 17:18Speaker 9: perhaps you would see them better instead of maybe you
- 17:20Speaker 9: were looking through the girating eye. No, see a couple
- 17:23Speaker 9: of the girls. We can pull them out, a couple
- 17:24Speaker 9: of them half stript girl tendencies up and then because
- 17:29Speaker 9: some of them has been tristrimp girl's dydnancy. You know what, sir,
- 17:34Speaker 9: I think we need to complete this call. Perhaps I
- 17:36Speaker 9: need to call Bishop and speak to him myself, because
- 17:39Speaker 9: you know, I don't know what you do all day,
- 17:40Speaker 9: but I have a real job and I'm sitting here
- 17:42Speaker 9: holding a conversation in my office about gyrating strippers in
- 17:46Speaker 9: the church. Are you kidding me?
- 17:47Speaker 8: Well, listen, now here's a couple other things that they're
- 17:50Speaker 8: talking about. Some of the girls see or real ask
- 17:53Speaker 8: you when you all are performing and they want to
- 17:56Speaker 8: see it, maybe you can, you can? I don't know.
- 17:58Speaker 8: Maybe I don't know if y'all need to grip or
- 18:00Speaker 8: whatever that y'all don't. Y'all don't put lotion on it.
- 18:02Speaker 8: We're not sure what that is. As well as the
- 18:06Speaker 8: totnail pology. Everybody has three, four, five different designs and
- 18:10Speaker 8: everything is it? Anyway y'all can be in unison with
- 18:13Speaker 8: your toenail policy. But the most important thing heal the
- 18:16Speaker 8: ji rating doing the dance routine.
- 18:19Speaker 9: I don't know what your feet look like. I don't
- 18:21Speaker 9: need you calling me talking to me about my girls
- 18:23Speaker 9: their feet, their nail polished. Perhaps your mass should be
- 18:26Speaker 9: on Jesus instead of on them, how about that? Oh no,
- 18:30Speaker 9: from my mind, I don't have time. I don't have time.
- 18:33Speaker 9: Want some mind to be on Jesus. When somebody's shaking
- 18:36Speaker 9: the butt at the church, that's the problem. You know what. Look,
- 18:39Speaker 9: I'm at work now, I'm trying to keep a work tone.
- 18:42Speaker 9: You're gonna make me curse up here and let me
- 18:43Speaker 9: tell you something. Don't call me anymore. I will deal
- 18:46Speaker 9: with pastor. If he has something to say with me,
- 18:48Speaker 9: he can say it to me personally. But I'm done
- 18:50Speaker 9: with this conversation.
- 18:51Speaker 8: Are you gonna deal with the jy rating? Is what
- 18:53Speaker 8: we want to know?
- 18:54Speaker 9: Maybe you know what?
- 18:56Speaker 8: It just hit me.
- 18:57Speaker 9: Maybe you're one of the ones that's doing the gy rate. Look,
- 19:00Speaker 9: let me tell you something. My girls ain't doing no
- 19:02Speaker 9: jot rating, and neither am I. Now I am done
- 19:04Speaker 9: with this conversation. Do you understand you?
- 19:06Speaker 3: But listen I'm done.
- 19:07Speaker 9: Are you done with this rating? That's what we want
- 19:10Speaker 9: to stop so we can We can't praise the Lord
- 19:13Speaker 9: if the booty is a.
- 19:14Speaker 8: Shake, you know what? Shirt?
- 19:15Speaker 10: Look, I gotta go to work.
- 19:17Speaker 9: I gotta go now again. I don't know what your
- 19:20Speaker 9: issue is. It sounds to me like you have an
- 19:22Speaker 9: issue with joy rating booties. I I heard so much
- 19:24Speaker 9: joy rating booties on one conversation in my entire life.
- 19:27Speaker 9: Now my mind is set on Jesus. I don't know
- 19:29Speaker 9: what your mind is said on.
- 19:30Speaker 8: Well, sister, tell you before you was a praise dance
- 19:33Speaker 8: a ministry over the ministry, did you ever use to strip?
- 19:37Speaker 9: Yeah, I didn't do no stripping. Now that you want
- 19:39Speaker 9: to do any stripping, what did your mamma do any stripping?
- 19:43Speaker 9: You heard what I said?
- 19:45Speaker 10: How are you asking somebody call?
- 19:46Speaker 9: You would ask you if your mamma get some stripping?
- 19:48Speaker 4: How you like that?
- 19:50Speaker 8: You know what I want to know? When is the
- 19:51Speaker 8: next rehearsal? Then the way I can come and pick
- 19:53Speaker 8: out who it is that's doing this time.
- 19:56Speaker 9: You don't have you don't have any buses at my rehearsal.
- 19:58Speaker 9: I don't want to see you at my rehearsal.
- 19:59Speaker 2: I don't.
- 20:00Speaker 9: I don't want to see any part for you in
- 20:02Speaker 9: my orse if I said you near one of my girls.
- 20:03Speaker 9: That's why I'm coming after you myself. Do you understand me?
- 20:05Speaker 9: You need to find out who's doing that job.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Thing.
- 20:09Speaker 9: You need to say your buddy, y'all And I'm glad y'all.
- 20:12Speaker 9: Ain't dancing when the wait is being pass because ain't
- 20:14Speaker 9: no telling how you act with them ones coming through that,

- 22:29Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour.
- 22:30Speaker 6: In entertainment news, celebrities paid tribute online to legendary music
- 22:35Speaker 6: mogul Clive Davis, who passed away at age ninety four.
- 22:40Speaker 6: Jay Z received backlash from his new business deal with Target,
- 22:44Speaker 6: but many say it's selective outrage.
- 22:46Speaker 1: We'll get into that.
- 22:47Speaker 6: Also, Pbobryson's private homegoing homegoing service was Monday in Atlanta.
- 22:53Speaker 6: That is all coming up at the top of the hour,
- 22:55Speaker 6: But right now it is time to ask the CLO
- 22:59Speaker 6: our chief life officer, Steve Harvey. All right, this run's
- 23:02Speaker 6: from Kelly and New Haven. Kelly writes, my girlfriends and
- 23:06Speaker 6: I are going on a cruise. One of the girls
- 23:09Speaker 6: can't afford a cabin by herself, so she asked if
- 23:12Speaker 6: I'd room with her. I said absolutely not, and now
- 23:16Speaker 6: she's mad. Why do broke people try to make you
- 23:19Speaker 6: feel guilty when they can't use you?
- 23:23Speaker 1: Well, see out there.
- 23:26Speaker 2: Well, first of all, the line that you said, why
- 23:29Speaker 2: do broke people feel as though make you feel guilty
- 23:34Speaker 2: or true, and never want to let him use you.
- 23:36Speaker 2: I didn't really care for that line because I think
- 23:39Speaker 2: we've all been in the position where we were unable
- 23:41Speaker 2: to do something. Now, look, y'all got a group of rights.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Everybody's not equally. Y'all decided y'all wanted to take a cruise.
- 23:51Speaker 2: When they started looking at the cruise. First you say, hey,
- 23:53Speaker 2: let's all take the cruise. Then y'all say, well, how
- 23:55Speaker 2: much is it? Then somebody come back and say everybody
- 23:58Speaker 2: can get it in this and then the other. Then
- 24:00Speaker 2: the girl come back and says, wow, I really can't
- 24:02Speaker 2: afford to do that by myself. Could I room with you?
- 24:06Speaker 2: And we split a room? And you said absolutely not,
- 24:10Speaker 2: which I understand, yeah, as a grown person, because you know,
- 24:14Speaker 2: I don't nobody want to share room, share a bathroom.
- 24:17Speaker 2: The crew's bathrooms ain't big. Now, cabins ain't big. I
- 24:22Speaker 2: don't know. I don't care. Why. How the picture is
- 24:25Speaker 2: they show you online with a paneloramic lens. Okay, Oh,
- 24:35Speaker 2: it's got that couch over there, and got that wall
- 24:39Speaker 2: over there, that balcony out there. No, all of us
- 24:45Speaker 2: in the same place, that wall, balcony and couch is
- 24:51Speaker 2: all in the same spot, So I understand.
- 24:58Speaker 1: You saying no, Yeah, she got kind of mean with it.
- 25:03Speaker 7: Share a cabin and don't they want to be able
- 25:06Speaker 7: to I mean, somebody might be coming back to the
- 25:09Speaker 7: cabin in the evening.
- 25:10Speaker 2: You never know. They want to know a privacy. We
- 25:14Speaker 2: hadn't put that in there yet. But let's just talk
- 25:17Speaker 2: about bath just.
- 25:20Speaker 5: Now.
- 25:21Speaker 6: He takes in someplace else, you know this state. All right,
- 25:25Speaker 6: we're moving on here.
- 25:28Speaker 2: You know, try to remember that you ain't always been
- 25:31Speaker 2: as fortune as yourself. Now that doesn't mean you have
- 25:34Speaker 2: to room with her. Yeah, she might just make all
- 25:38Speaker 2: of y'all chip in and you know, and give her
- 25:42Speaker 2: enough that what she's short and help her get over
- 25:45Speaker 2: Yeah you can. You can't go, That's all that is?
- 25:49Speaker 1: Okay, what.
- 25:54Speaker 3: All right?
- 25:55Speaker 4: Don't call.
- 25:57Speaker 1: We're moving on to Carter, Greensboro.
- 26:01Speaker 6: Carter writes, My wife made pasta Sunday, and before we ate,
- 26:05Speaker 6: she puts some aside. She told me if it was
- 26:08Speaker 6: a welcome gift for our new neighbor. The man is
- 26:11Speaker 6: single and fairly decent looking, so she's not going over there.
- 26:16Speaker 6: Why is she trying to welcome him? Because my wife
- 26:20Speaker 6: a neighbor, and he's kind of cute.
- 26:24Speaker 2: It's the welcome dish. Take him since forget.
- 26:29Speaker 1: She puts some of my dinner though aside for him.
- 26:33Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, for not not bad. Look at dudes. So
- 26:37Speaker 2: you know he's probably hungry and everything. Okay, so you
- 26:41Speaker 2: if he ain't hungry, she should want to find out.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Okay, So yeah, you have no problem with this. Then
- 26:49Speaker 1: it sounds like I got yellow problem.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Okay, Well, nothing over it. He ain't bought nothing over here.
- 26:54Speaker 1: You agree with her husband?
- 26:57Speaker 2: Yeah, Hey, don't you the one knew in the neighborhood
- 26:59Speaker 2: what you got for?
- 27:01Speaker 1: That's not how it works.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Yeah, if you want us to watch your house as
- 27:05Speaker 2: a part of the neighborhood, watch what you got.
- 27:10Speaker 5: Yeah, you're supposed to welcome the new neighbor. Not that
- 27:13Speaker 5: new neighbor welcome?
- 27:14Speaker 2: Why is it her?
- 27:17Speaker 1: Where are the other neighbors?
- 27:18Speaker 2: Put a neighbor on the other side of the house.
- 27:23Speaker 1: All right, we get your point.
- 27:26Speaker 6: Moving on to Jamison in Detroit, Jamison writes, when my
- 27:29Speaker 6: girlfriend and I met, she was in an open marriage.
- 27:34Speaker 6: She's divorced now, and her ex husband accuses me of
- 27:38Speaker 6: ruining their marriage. Isn't that how open marriage works. They
- 27:43Speaker 6: were both having sex with others. So now, how is
- 27:45Speaker 6: it my fault? How is that my fault?
- 27:48Speaker 2: Hey, bru, listen to mean man. If y'all participate in
- 27:52Speaker 2: this stuff once again this year, I'm not gonna do it.
- 27:57Speaker 2: What stop writing us with these abnormals situation acting like
- 28:02Speaker 2: is normal and want us to give you an immediate response.
- 28:05Speaker 2: We don't know how you supposed to act. We ain't
- 28:09Speaker 2: in no open marriage. We ain't sleep with nobody that's
- 28:13Speaker 2: in an open marriage though that ain't really post to go. Now,
- 28:19Speaker 2: if this man decides he's gonna whoop your about his
- 28:23Speaker 2: wife again, there's nothing we can do, nor do I care.
- 28:27Speaker 2: I think you got one coming if you ask me. Okay,
- 28:32Speaker 2: all these women in this world, man, you do not
- 28:36Speaker 2: have to sleep with a married oneman. You don't have
- 28:40Speaker 2: to though, this is true. Now, if she offers it
- 28:44Speaker 2: to you and you want to go that route, then
- 28:48Speaker 2: this will come with it.
- 28:49Speaker 6: Now, Okay, excess and things, okay, all right, all right,
- 28:54Speaker 6: thank you, celo. Last one, last one Jewel and Youngstown
- 29:01Speaker 6: Jewel Rights. I saw my sister's husband hugged up with
- 29:04Speaker 6: another woman, and I waved so he'd know I saw him.
- 29:09Speaker 6: I called my sister and she said she doesn't believe
- 29:13Speaker 6: me and stopped speaking to me. Why does she allow
- 29:16Speaker 6: her husband to openly cheat on her?
- 29:18Speaker 4: Wow?
- 29:19Speaker 2: Wow?
- 29:20Speaker 7: Bro?
- 29:22Speaker 2: I mean, why does she allow her husband to openly
- 29:25Speaker 2: cheat on her? Okay, first of all, I don't know.
- 29:30Speaker 2: Number two, she said she don't. She don't believe you.
- 29:36Speaker 2: You know, it's some people that live their life with
- 29:38Speaker 2: their head in the same It's some people right here
- 29:40Speaker 2: believe what they want to believe so they can so
- 29:43Speaker 2: they can think what they want to think and have
- 29:45Speaker 2: what they think they want to have. You got to
- 29:47Speaker 2: leave people alone like that. Yeah, you called your sister.
- 29:51Speaker 2: I understand it. It's your sister. I understand that's your sister.
- 29:55Speaker 2: So you called her. She didn't believe it.
- 29:58Speaker 1: She stopped, she didn't.
- 29:59Speaker 2: Stop speaking you, and I'd have told you ain't nothing
- 30:03Speaker 2: wrong with us. You saw him hugged up with somebody else.
- 30:07Speaker 2: I didn't, and I don't believe you. Yeah, because your
- 30:12Speaker 2: sister wants to have a healthy, loving marriage and she
- 30:16Speaker 2: ain't gonna let nothing, including you, mess that up.
- 30:20Speaker 1: You're right, thank you. Clo.
- 30:22Speaker 6: Oh well, uh, coming up at the top of the hour,
- 30:26Speaker 6: we will have some entertainment news for you.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening to the Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 30:36Speaker 6: Legendary music industry mobile Clive Davis died on Monday. Davis
- 30:41Speaker 6: reportedly passed away peacefully at his home in Manhattan following
- 30:45Speaker 6: a recent hospitalization for upper respiratory issues. He was ninety
- 30:50Speaker 6: four years old. Clive Davis leaves an incredible indelible mark
- 30:55Speaker 6: on the industry the music industry with a career spanning
- 30:58Speaker 6: over fifty years, and he was known as quote the
- 31:01Speaker 6: man with the Golden ears. He served as president of
- 31:04Speaker 6: Columbia Records before going on to found Arista Records and
- 31:09Speaker 6: Jay Records. While shaving the careers of generations of superstars,
- 31:13Speaker 6: he discovered, signed, and mentored iconic stars like Whitney Houston,
- 31:18Speaker 6: Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin, and Alicia Keys. Celebrities and artists
- 31:23Speaker 6: shared heartfelt tributes to Clive Davis, celebrating his vision, kindness,
- 31:28Speaker 6: and unmatched ear for timeless songs. Steve, had you ever
- 31:33Speaker 6: met Clive Davis?
- 31:34Speaker 2: But I don't think I have no remember. Of course
- 31:37Speaker 2: I would have known if I did.
- 31:39Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah music icon Yeah, I pee yep, switching
- 31:45Speaker 6: gears Now, jay Z.
- 31:48Speaker 1: I don't know if you guys have seen this.
- 31:49Speaker 6: Jay Z is receiving backlash across social media and in
- 31:53Speaker 6: the black community after announcing that he has partnered with
- 31:57Speaker 6: Target to release an exclusive titious annivers revinyl of his
- 32:02Speaker 6: debut album Reasonable Doubt, right in the middle of an active,
- 32:06Speaker 6: widespread Black consumer boycott of Target.
- 32:10Speaker 1: Why Yeah Yeah.
- 32:12Speaker 6: Critics feel that by using his massive cultural leverage to
- 32:15Speaker 6: drive traffic into Target stores, jay Z is undermining a
- 32:20Speaker 6: collective community action and prioritizing a corporate paycheck over social solidarity.
- 32:26Speaker 6: Many people express disappointment in the collaboration and compared it
- 32:30Speaker 6: to jay Z's past partnership with the NFL during Colin
- 32:34Speaker 6: Kaepernick's protests. On the other hand, some commenters came to
- 32:38Speaker 6: Jay's defense, pointing out that other major artists have engaged
- 32:41Speaker 6: in similar deals and argue that the backlash is a
- 32:44Speaker 6: case of selective outrage for jay Z.
- 32:47Speaker 1: What do you think about it, Steve.
- 32:50Speaker 2: I don't know. This is the first I'm understanding what
- 32:53Speaker 2: the deal was. I've heard he had struck a deal
- 32:55Speaker 2: with Target. This is the first time I've heard it. Okay,
- 33:00Speaker 2: I ask you all the question because I don't know.
- 33:02Speaker 2: The boycott of Target is still going on. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 33:08Speaker 2: uh huh yeah. First of all, let me say this,
- 33:12Speaker 2: the deal with the NFL was not to undercut the
- 33:15Speaker 2: Colin Kaepernick deal. The deal with the NFL has actually
- 33:19Speaker 2: been a good deal for us as a culture. Super
- 33:24Speaker 2: Bowl halftime has never been this way, ever, ever, until
- 33:29Speaker 2: jay Z took over, It's never looked this way. But
- 33:33Speaker 2: you know, once again, for those who love you, no
- 33:36Speaker 2: explanation necessary. For those that's gonna hate you, no explanation acceptable.
- 33:42Speaker 2: I don't know. This is the first I'm hearing of
- 33:44Speaker 2: the Target deal. Oh, I don't know. And it really
- 33:48Speaker 2: don't seem like that big a deal that you're releasing
- 33:50Speaker 2: your album on vinyl and now I don't care.
- 33:54Speaker 1: Well yeah, again, that's not the point.
- 33:57Speaker 6: That's the point, the fact that he did it at
- 33:59Speaker 6: Target with the boycott's still going on.
- 34:02Speaker 1: You know, he struck a deal with Target.
- 34:03Speaker 6: They say it's just for to get a check, and
- 34:06Speaker 6: you know, he's ignoring the boycott and what the black
- 34:09Speaker 6: community is doing.
- 34:10Speaker 2: That's basically I mean, that's not good in terms of
- 34:14Speaker 2: for us, especially celebrities. Man, we've got to just gotta
- 34:18Speaker 2: stay mindful. We have to stay mindful. And now if
- 34:24Speaker 2: a white person did this, it wouldn't be nothing. No,
- 34:27Speaker 2: it wouldn't be nothing. But we are held accountable by
- 34:32Speaker 2: each other, to each other, even when we ain't accountable
- 34:36Speaker 2: by each other or to each other. Do you understand
- 34:38Speaker 2: what I'm saying. We are the most harsh critics of ourselves.
- 34:45Speaker 2: But then once so oftentimes some people as criticizing ain't
- 34:49Speaker 2: doing nothing. Ain't doing nothing. So as a celebrity, you
- 34:52Speaker 2: have to be mindful that we are responsible for the
- 34:57Speaker 2: actions of one another as black people, and they are
- 35:01Speaker 2: going to They are going to watch your every move
- 35:04Speaker 2: and hold you accountable to their standard even if they
- 35:08Speaker 2: don't have it. Ain't that Chus's crazy, Uh huh.
- 35:12Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 35:13Speaker 6: But so we'll see how this, how this goes, how
- 35:16Speaker 6: his album sells, you know, on the thirtieth anniversary at Target,
- 35:19Speaker 6: because there is you know, like we said, an active
- 35:22Speaker 6: boycott still going on, and yes it is is still See.
- 35:25Speaker 2: I didn't know I thought Jamal Bryant had called a
- 35:27Speaker 2: boycott off.
- 35:29Speaker 6: I thought, well, I think he did, but then you know,
- 35:33Speaker 6: he got criticized for that and then it's back on.
- 35:36Speaker 6: Now I remember there was some there was some issue
- 35:40Speaker 6: about you know, he came and said it was over.
- 35:43Speaker 6: That was earlier this show.
- 35:44Speaker 2: Okay, okay, cool, all right, y'all tell me this right now.
- 35:46Speaker 2: So I'm going to wear what all are we boycotting.
- 35:52Speaker 1: Target?
- 35:53Speaker 2: Family? Dollar Target? For sure, I'm not going now.
- 35:57Speaker 1: I think it's Dollar General it was.
- 35:59Speaker 2: I ain't going now. Oh really, no, I'm not crossing
- 36:05Speaker 2: that pickey line baby.
- 36:08Speaker 1: Dollar General in particular, dollar store.
- 36:11Speaker 2: Dollar, stick, dollar worth, dollar, a half dollar, a quarter.
- 36:14Speaker 2: I'm not going in now. One of them are staying
- 36:17Speaker 2: with y'all.
- 36:18Speaker 1: You need a list, what you're saying, You need a
- 36:20Speaker 1: list so you'll know where to go. Because I get
- 36:23Speaker 1: the balloons for the birthday.
- 36:25Speaker 2: Bo let me know when y'all listen, let me know
- 36:30Speaker 2: when y'all boy Cotton waffle House. That's I'm waiting on
- 36:34Speaker 2: that one right there. And here's another big one. Let
- 36:38Speaker 2: me know when y'all boy Cotton BUCkies. No, because I
- 36:45Speaker 2: just went there. If you really want to prove something
- 36:49Speaker 2: to me, let me know when your boy cotton Amazon.
- 36:54Speaker 5: That app Now, we ain't gonna hold that line that
- 37:00Speaker 5: got cross that pickle.

- 37:07Speaker 6: twenty minute.
- 37:07Speaker 1: We'll get you that list.

- 37:12Speaker 6: Bryson's homegoing celebration was held on Monday, we'll talk about

- 37:20Speaker 6: Morning Show. Hey, listeners, A leave has a question for you.

- 37:53Speaker 6: directed for minor aches and pains. On Monday, late legendary
- 37:58Speaker 6: singer Peebo Bryson was given a private, invitation only homegoing
- 38:02Speaker 6: service by his family at Annio Baptist Church in Atlanta,
- 38:06Speaker 6: and the service was live streamed worldwide for Peboat's fans.
- 38:11Speaker 6: Ruben Studdard, who frequently toured with Peebo, honored him by
- 38:15Speaker 6: singing a rendition of Donny Hathaway's classics, Someday We'll all
- 38:18Speaker 6: be free Regina Bell and BB Winings gave musical tributes
- 38:22Speaker 6: to Pebo as well. Pebo Brison passed away earlier this
- 38:26Speaker 6: month following a stroke. Sadly, he was seventy five years old. Now, Steve,
- 38:31Speaker 6: I wanted to ask you, do you remember the last
- 38:33Speaker 6: time we saw Peebo? He was in our studio in

- 38:59Speaker 1: great boy.
- 39:00Speaker 2: The doctor j of ron B.
- 39:05Speaker 1: Explain that to people who don't know.
- 39:08Speaker 2: Doctor j back in the day was the highlight reel
- 39:13Speaker 2: of the ABA NBA. Doctor Julius Irvin was a highlight reel.
- 39:18Speaker 2: And I've heard Peobo Bryson say, I'm the doctor j
- 39:21Speaker 2: of n B. He's a highlight real.
- 39:25Speaker 1: His voice was incredible, beautiful.

- 41:02Speaker 2: That's all I got for you.
- 41:04Speaker 1: Coming up, okay, coming up.
- 41:06Speaker 6: In thirty four minutes after the hour, women tried to
- 41:09Speaker 6: sell her boyfriend's designer shoes and found out they were fake.
- 41:14Speaker 6: We'll find out what happened right after this. You're listening
- 41:18Speaker 6: Steve Harvey Morning Show. This is a case of what
- 41:26Speaker 6: would you do in this situation?
- 41:27Speaker 1: Okay? This was on Reddit guys.
- 41:29Speaker 6: A Marylynd couple have been dating for eight months, and
- 41:32Speaker 6: they're known for being a cute and trendy couple that
- 41:35Speaker 6: wear nothing but designer clothes and shoes. They moved in
- 41:40Speaker 6: with each other last month, and to make room for
- 41:43Speaker 6: all of his girlfriend's shoes, the boyfriend offered to donate
- 41:46Speaker 6: seven pairs of his shoes to a local charity, but
- 41:49Speaker 6: the girlfriend didn't take the shoes to a charity. She
- 41:52Speaker 6: decided to take the shoes to a consignment store instead,
- 41:56Speaker 6: thinking they would be worth some money. She was very
- 42:00Speaker 6: prized to find out that all of the shoes are
- 42:02Speaker 6: designer fakes. She considers this a deal breaker, and what
- 42:06Speaker 6: would you do in this situation?
- 42:08Speaker 1: So they broke up. She that was a deal breaker
- 42:11Speaker 1: for her.
- 42:11Speaker 2: Well, that's because she's what's the word of materialistic, and
- 42:18Speaker 2: that's how she is. She's basing everything on materialist, what
- 42:21Speaker 2: you have, you know, how we are, what we appeared
- 42:24Speaker 2: to be and all like that. And so I say,
- 42:26Speaker 2: it's good riddance.
- 42:29Speaker 1: So she thought they were designer shoes until then. She
- 42:33Speaker 1: she didn't know.
- 42:34Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, he probably he might have wanted her for
- 42:37Speaker 2: the same reason.
- 42:39Speaker 1: For her her gear. Wow, very very.
- 42:45Speaker 2: Uh fragile existence like that shallow. Yeah, that's just so
- 42:53Speaker 2: crazy to me, man, But that's what they do. I say,
- 42:58Speaker 2: good Riddings though, Homie, you got you you you dodge
- 43:02Speaker 2: your bullet.
- 43:03Speaker 6: So what would you have done though in this situation?
- 43:06Speaker 6: I mean, she should have taken him to charity, like
- 43:08Speaker 6: you said.
- 43:09Speaker 1: She didn't do that. She was trying to get some
- 43:11Speaker 1: money out of the deal. What would you have done?
- 43:13Speaker 2: I'm gonna take up the Canal Street with me and
- 43:15Speaker 2: show her how to say something. She buying that cardia
- 43:26Speaker 2: for and you can get a Carterior.
- 43:29Speaker 1: It's a silver lining.
- 43:32Speaker 2: Relax, I said about this brightening when you could just
- 43:36Speaker 2: get a lean bright.
- 43:39Speaker 1: Watch.
- 43:43Speaker 2: I like to see. Yeah, And like Tommy said, you
- 43:45Speaker 2: got fake it till you make it. Man, you ain't
- 43:48Speaker 2: there yet, you know.
- 43:51Speaker 1: So there's nothing wrong with rock and knockoffs.
- 43:53Speaker 2: Right, I mean, but he should have been honest with her.
- 43:58Speaker 6: Well, I mean they've been dating for a months. Yeah,
- 44:01Speaker 6: it seems like it would have come up at some point,
- 44:03Speaker 6: but maybe not.
- 44:04Speaker 2: Well he said, hey, look, I'm gonna make room for
- 44:05Speaker 2: your clothes, Gonna take these shoes down here to the
- 44:08Speaker 2: thrift store. She trying to make money, gonna take it
- 44:12Speaker 2: to a consignment store.
- 44:13Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, but that was a nice gesture in
- 44:17Speaker 6: and of itself for him making room for her in
- 44:19Speaker 6: his life, you know, with this, with this.
- 44:23Speaker 2: He had been honest, Tell me where that come from?
- 44:27Speaker 1: You're mad that?
- 44:28Speaker 7: And for what?
- 44:33Speaker 2: What are we talking about? These shoes for an already
- 44:35Speaker 2: bought literally from the Dollar General. But why but why
- 44:41Speaker 2: do you have to? Okay?
- 44:42Speaker 5: So honesty is also well it's kind of withholding information
- 44:49Speaker 5: to right.
- 44:50Speaker 1: So yeah, yeah, yeah, yes, So why why are you mad?
- 44:57Speaker 2: I'm confused?
- 44:58Speaker 5: Act mad as me for saying that he could have
- 45:02Speaker 5: told her, because that's you know, just giving information, you
- 45:05Speaker 5: know where it comes from from?
- 45:06Speaker 7: Him?
- 45:06Speaker 1: What this food?
- 45:10Speaker 2: Where did that come from? He on this radio show.
- 45:13Speaker 2: He's gonna have to decide, is he nephew? Thommy?
- 45:17Speaker 3: Was he?
- 45:17Speaker 2: Thomas Miles? We didn't have toast, We did not hide
- 45:23Speaker 2: Thomas min Aga. Thomas Miles gets on your nerves. Directive delivererate.
- 45:32Speaker 1: How did he say it, Steve? How did he say it?
- 45:34Speaker 2: Wait a minute, man, why couldn't she have been honest?
- 45:42Speaker 1: What crazy?
- 45:47Speaker 2: SA's no time for honesty.
- 45:49Speaker 1: He was already lying about the designers?
- 45:54Speaker 2: Or didn't say it?
- 45:55Speaker 10: Here?
- 45:55Speaker 1: Baby, take these shoes down.
- 45:57Speaker 2: They're not real?
- 45:58Speaker 1: God almost to take them down to the thrift show Wow.
- 46:02Speaker 6: All right, well, coming up next, it is a prank
- 46:06Speaker 6: phone call with the very honest, all of a sudden
- 46:09Speaker 6: nephew Tommy or is it Thomas Miles.
- 46:11Speaker 1: We'll find out right after this.
- 46:13Speaker 2: They're not Gucci's, they're gouty.
- 46:17Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up
- 46:24Speaker 1: at the top of the hour.
- 46:26Speaker 6: It is my Strawberry letter for today and the subject
- 46:28Speaker 6: is put your money where your mouth is. Okay, we'll
- 46:32Speaker 6: get into that, find out what that's all about, and

- 56:37Speaker 1: It could be yours.
- 56:39Speaker 2: It could be yours. Buckle up and hold on time.
- 56:41Speaker 2: We got it for you here. It is Strawberry Letter,
- 56:44Speaker 2: all right.
- 56:45Speaker 6: If you thank you? Subject put your money where your
- 56:48Speaker 6: mouth is. Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a thirty two year
- 56:52Speaker 6: old engaged female and I got into a heated argument
- 56:55Speaker 6: with my fiance's mom and told her to put up
- 56:59Speaker 6: or shut I told her to put her money where
- 57:02Speaker 6: her mouth is or stop talking down to me. I've
- 57:06Speaker 6: tried to fit in with his family, but I'm ready
- 57:08Speaker 6: to give up. I was raised by my aunt, and
- 57:12Speaker 6: I have worked since I was fifteen years old. I
- 57:15Speaker 6: put myself through cosmetology school and I opened a salon
- 57:18Speaker 6: with my best friend. And it's in the hood that
- 57:21Speaker 6: I grew up in. I'm doing lovely now, but my
- 57:24Speaker 6: fiance's mom won't let me forget where I came from.
- 57:28Speaker 6: The funny thing is she's from the same area of
- 57:31Speaker 6: town and she was a teen mom. She got a
- 57:34Speaker 6: scholarship to a community college and was blessed to get
- 57:37Speaker 6: a good job and a great husband. It's fine for
- 57:40Speaker 6: her to change her life around, but she keeps beating
- 57:43Speaker 6: me down because my process is slower than hers was.
- 57:46Speaker 6: I have asked my fiance repeatedly to tell his mom
- 57:50Speaker 6: to stop messing with me, but he thinks it's not
- 57:52Speaker 6: that bad. I teach cosmetology class, I do nails on
- 57:57Speaker 6: the side, and i'm a notary all to for my wedding.
- 58:01Speaker 6: I told her if my side hustles are embarrassing to
- 58:04Speaker 6: her family, then maybe she could help pay for the
- 58:06Speaker 6: wedding and I'll quit one of my side jobs.
- 58:09Speaker 1: My fiance said I.
- 58:10Speaker 6: Should ignore his mom, but I can't when all she
- 58:14Speaker 6: does is make me feel like the little girl that
- 58:16Speaker 6: went to school without nice clothes like the other kids.
- 58:20Speaker 6: If she's so concerned, why won't she pay one of
- 58:23Speaker 6: her bougie party planners to help me out?
- 58:25Speaker 1: I am so stressed out? Why does he allow his
- 58:28Speaker 1: mom to do this to me?
- 58:30Speaker 6: Well, yeah, you are right. Your man should check his
- 58:34Speaker 6: mom for speaking to you like that. And you can't
- 58:36Speaker 6: let her disrespect you either. You lashed out at her,
- 58:40Speaker 6: but had your man stepped up on your behalf, you
- 58:43Speaker 6: wouldn't have to tell her to shut up or put
- 58:46Speaker 6: her money where her mouth is. You got to set
- 58:48Speaker 6: boundaries respectfully with her. Maybe she needs to be reminded
- 58:52Speaker 6: that her background and your background are very similar.
- 58:56Speaker 1: She made it out and did.
- 58:57Speaker 6: Well for herself, so why can't she give you that
- 59:00Speaker 6: same grace while you're grinding and figuring things out. Yeah,
- 59:04Speaker 6: your process may be taking longer, but you're still doing what.
- 59:07Speaker 10: You have to do.
- 59:08Speaker 6: The other thing is to try not to let what
- 59:11Speaker 6: she says and her little digs and all of that.
- 59:13Speaker 6: Try not to let that get under your skin because
- 59:16Speaker 6: what you've done is phenomenal.
- 59:18Speaker 1: You've gone to.
- 59:18Speaker 6: School, you have a salon, you do your side hustles
- 59:23Speaker 6: you have nothing to be ashamed of.
- 59:25Speaker 1: You're a hard worker, You've got three jobs.
- 59:28Speaker 6: What you need is support from your man and his
- 59:30Speaker 6: family instead of the putdowns from his mom. So I
- 59:34Speaker 6: say that if he doesn't pick aside and let his
- 59:36Speaker 6: mom know that she's out of order respectfully, then you
- 59:40Speaker 6: need to reevaluate your relationship.
- 59:42Speaker 1: Is he really the man for you?
- 59:45Speaker 5: Steve?
- 59:46Speaker 2: This is a prime example of a person who has
- 59:50Speaker 2: reached what they think is a level of success and
- 59:54Speaker 2: in order to feel successful, have to mock and put
- 59:58Speaker 2: down others who are not as successful. See that as
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: some people who absolutely think that by blowing out your
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: candle it makes theirs brighter. There are people who exist
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: like that. Your mother in law is one of them.
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: The sad part of it is your future mother in
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: law's one of them. Is your fiance keeps telling you
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: to ignore it. It's okay, handle it. No, it's not,
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: And you too, better get on the same page quickly,
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: because in marriage, when you get married, when you get married,
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: your wife becomes number one, your husband becomes number one.
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: It's I know a lot of people who are married
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: that said, no, my wife ain't in front of my mama.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: I'm sorry, bro, but that's how I go. That's how
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: it's supposed to go, because in order for you to
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: have a successful family, you have got to make this
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: woman feel some type of security, to trust in you
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: that you will lead her in the family in the
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: right direction, that you will protect them at all costs.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: But in the practice period, if you're not being protected, ladies,
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: what makes you think when you get married you're going
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: to be protected. Look, I'm just talking off the letter
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: right now. A big part of women's choosing a man.
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: Oftentimes it's not only for love, but women want to
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: feel safe and secure. Women want that, and fellas, it
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: ain't no need of you getting mad because that's what
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: she wants. Because a lot of women would love to
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: have a man that makes them feel safe and protected
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: because man, so they ain't got to do that too.
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: Oh okay, I got to sleep with you, I gotta
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: help you pay these bills, I gotta have his baby,
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: I gotta raise his kids. And now all I want
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: you to do is at least make me feel safe
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: and protected. And when a woman don't get that, man,
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: I mean dog, come on, because that's one of the
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: main things that men do. If you don't do nothing
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: else as a man. Protection and provision is key factor.
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: Key factor, protection and provision. It's like a lion's pride. Yeah,
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: the women do a lot of work and a lot
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: of the hunting and raising of the cubs, but that
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: male line protects the territory and protects them from other lions.
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: That's their job. They ain't the most of the food,
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: can get all in the way, and they want sex
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: when you don't want to, but they're over there. The
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: rest of it is they do in their job. All right,
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: that's in a lion's pride. I got that, but I
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: ain't through.
- 1:02:57Speaker 6: Hang on, we'll have part two of your response coming
- 1:03:00Speaker 6: up at twenty three minutes after the hour Today Strawberry
- 1:03:03Speaker 6: letter subject is put your money where your mouth is.
- 1:03:06Speaker 6: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
- 1:03:10Speaker 6: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Your favorite beet series are now

- 1:03:31Speaker 6: a woman works to free herself from a religious cult.

- 1:03:38Speaker 6: Iva Marcil returns as Madam, a woman who fights to
- 1:03:42Speaker 6: retain control of her exotic male dancers in the final
- 1:03:46Speaker 6: season of All the Queen's Men, now streaming at to
- 1:03:49Speaker 6: Paramount plus dot com. To get started, All right, come on, Steve.
- 1:03:54Speaker 6: Let's recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject is put your
- 1:03:57Speaker 6: money where your mouth is.
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: The letters about this thirty two year old young lady
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: who has a fiance, but the problem is his mother
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: is always talking down to her, criticizing everything she do,
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: where she live, where she stay, what she do when
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: his mother is from the same side of town. Now,
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: this girl was raised by her aunt. She's been working
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: since she was fifteen. She didn't get to wear nice
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: clothes at school. She done set up here and self
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: educated herself. She owns a salon with her best friend
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: in the neighborhood that they grew up in. She teaches
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: cosmetology class, she does nails on the side, and she's
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: a notary. She's doing all of this to pay for
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: the wedding that she really wants. Now, the boy's mama
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: ain't putting in no money on the wedding, but steady
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: criticizing everything she do. She has gone to the boy
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: to ask her, hey, can you tell your mama? He say,
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: ignore her. Then she go to him again. He say
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: it ain't that bad. Say wait a minute, man, hold up, home,
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: up home, hold on. So Shirley said something in the
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: letter that maybe you need to do. You want to
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: know if you'll get along with this family and it's
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: not working for you with being out with this family,
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: maybe you should consider your relationship. And I think you
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: have to because one of the key components that a
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: woman would love to have in a man, a woman
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: would love to feel safe and protected. And we've gone
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: over this man, because if a woman got to do
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: all this, if a woman got to go to work,
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: if a woman got to cook, if a woman's chipping
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: in with your bills, if a woman got to have
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: these babies and raise these babies, could you not at
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: least make me feel safe and protected? How that's asking
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: too much? I don't think so. When the two factors
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: that a man must do is protect and provide. If
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: you're not doing that, fellas, what are you here for?
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: I'm sorry, man, I just finished up a Minerry camp
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: with two hundred and fifty boys.
- 1:05:58Speaker 8: Man.
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: When we first talked talking and I told the man
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: that you're supposed to pay for the first date, boy,
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: some of them little boys flipped out, Hell, no, we
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: go Dutch, mister Harvey. I'm not paying for no girl
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: eating no food with me?
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: What?
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: Wow, hey, man, what where y'all getting this from? So
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: we spend an hour an hour talking about the responsibilities
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: of just being a young boy. Why you pay for
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: a girl's time in her presence? Why is your job
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: to protect and provide? Well, I go through this with
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: fifteen seventeen year old boys. The problem is some of
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: these fifteen seventy year old boys, mister Steve Harvey manriying camp.
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: Now they thirty three, and you finna marry one ONEm
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: and ain't nobody told him that's his job. Well, I
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: feel sorry for you, sister, but let me first of
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: all commend you. You are doing a great job. You
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: have done an amazing job. You have educated yourself, you
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: own a business with your best friend, you are to
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: become a notary, You do nails on the side, you
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: teach a college mythology class. I mean you're doing great.
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: Her mama tripping his mama tripping because she looking at
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: you because she remember when she was in that position.
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: But then guess what, she want to keep talking down
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: to you so she could feel better about herself. There
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: are people in this world like that now that if
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: you go on to your man twice and he ain't
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: gave you no help or relief, when y'all get married,
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: when is to help in relief coming. Maybe he's incapable
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: of the help and relief. Now it seems like you're
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: gonna marry him anyway, because you hustling real hard to
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: pay for this web. What is he doing? What do
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: I ain't heard you say we saving our money for
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: the wind. You're trying to save the money to pay
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: for this wedding that you won't What is he doing?
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: I'm about to give up. If I were you, I
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: would go to him. This is a solution for this. Say, hey, listen,
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: I've come you several times about you helping me with
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: your mom. You're telling me to ignore it, and you're
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: telling me it ain't that bad. So here's what I
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: want to do. I'm starting to have second thoughts about
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: moving forward. I say, let's put this whole wedding on
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: pause and let's put this relationship on pause because I
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: need a break because I'm under a lot of stress
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: right now. And then start crying.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: Tears, work boy.
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: Start crying. Every man that's got a woman when she
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: sheds tears, we know we got to do something. And
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: you start finding out who you got. And maybe it's
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: time for you to find out who you have because
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: he may not be who you think it is. Let
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: me tell you some ladies. If you cried in your
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: man and he don't give it, if you cry in
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: front of your man and he don't give it you,
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: I'm telling you right now, you either in some mess
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: or you about to get in some mess. And all
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: the men out there, ye, man, I don't mean nothing.
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: My girl cry all the time. I'm not fitting to
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: react to that. Wow, you have to fix it, thog.
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: That's how I check. So that's why I'm with it. Man. Lady,
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: I didn't really go over the letter too much because
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: I think it's worthless because she is who she is
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: and she not gonna change. But you don't have to
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: marry her boy who obviously for some reason allows his
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: mother to get in everything. If you think she in it,
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: now wait till you get married. She gonna be in
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: the same circle, because y'all supposed to have a two
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: handed circle. It's gonna be three of y'all hold in hand,
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: and he gonna be doing whatever she say do. You
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: might not be marrying or Mama's boy. I'm just saying.

- 1:10:56Speaker 2: Hey, so listen, I was preparing some sports but I ain't.
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: I ain't gotten Tommy take it away. All right, let's
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: talk about it. You know, it's summertime.
- 1:11:08Speaker 7: So what we what we like to look at is,
- 1:11:10Speaker 7: you know, we're waiting on the basketball just finished and
- 1:11:12Speaker 7: football is coming.
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: But this is that drought. This is that drought.
- 1:11:16Speaker 7: Fortunately we got World Cup going on, so we're a
- 1:11:18Speaker 7: little enthused about that. But I got another one for you,
- 1:11:21Speaker 7: uncle that I don't really understand this sport. Maybe you
- 1:11:24Speaker 7: can shed some light on it.
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: And I don't know how. I'm pulling up to see
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: how much they make power was slapping.
- 1:11:31Speaker 7: Yeah, they just standing there just slapping the cowboys sugar
- 1:11:36Speaker 7: honey ice out.
- 1:11:37Speaker 4: Of each other.
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: I know, you really scared me with that one.
- 1:11:45Speaker 7: They just stand there in front of each other, theay
- 1:11:47Speaker 7: three three hundred pound men.
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: Well, I'm sorry, women do it too. Yeah. And then
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: they got weight classes they yeah, and they have a
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: men's division and a women's division. Some of the women
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: don't need to be in it because they can't slap
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: it all. But it's some women in there who were
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: that will knock yo.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: Okay, what what is the trick to it? What is
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: the what do you have to do to win it?
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: I think what it is? You fairly you slap somebody
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: m h.
- 1:12:18Speaker 7: And they if they fall, they got they got so
- 1:12:21Speaker 7: much time to get back up and stand back up
- 1:12:24Speaker 7: and be ready. Now if you can't get back up,
- 1:12:27Speaker 7: then of course you're.
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: Out right flap out.
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: You have to continue. Last man standing wins around. Sometimes
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: they slap and and nobody falls.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: What are the rules?
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: Like they have judges too. It was it a good
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: slap like you can like if you try to bounce
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: on your toes or your foot, that's a flaw. That's
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: a fault that don't count. But you've already been slapped now,
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: so you know he stood on his toe and knocked
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: that you and flavor Sometimes like when some people get hit,
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: you can see like fried chicken in the air. That's
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: when you done got the taste slapped out. Okay, so
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: you can see it. You see a chicken and just
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: get again.
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: Did it reach way back or way tother side. But
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: oh oh the way okay, and.
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: They have they have mouthpiece in their mouth, great.
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: Slap their teeth out.
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: And for very little moneymine winter they get knocked us.
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: Oh yeah, somebody gonna fall cause when you fight the
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: big dude to be playing, when you get up in
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: there with him, you're going down.
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: All right, Well, thank you? H What is it called
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: power slapping?
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: All right?
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: Uh? Now that's a crash.
- 1:13:47Speaker 6: Coming coming up. At the top of the hour, a
- 1:13:50Speaker 6: man is avoiding his wife after she hurt his feelings.
- 1:13:54Speaker 6: He needs some advice. Right after this, you're listening to
- 1:13:57Speaker 6: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. So this is from Freddie
- 1:14:04Speaker 6: and Alexandria. Freddie says, I had a disagreement with my
- 1:14:09Speaker 6: wife on the way to church, and she told me
- 1:14:12Speaker 6: that she didn't need me, I needed her. I didn't
- 1:14:15Speaker 6: sit with her that day, and I caught a ride
- 1:14:18Speaker 6: home with a neighbor. I haven't cooked for a solid week,
- 1:14:22Speaker 6: and I've let the grass grow tall in the front yard.
- 1:14:25Speaker 6: I didn't run to her the other day when she
- 1:14:27Speaker 6: yelled about seeing a spider in the kitchen, and I
- 1:14:30Speaker 6: definitely haven't participated when she tried to have sex I'm
- 1:14:34Speaker 6: still not over it, but I'm going to have to
- 1:14:36Speaker 6: cut the front yard at some point. How do I
- 1:14:39Speaker 6: get my wife to respect me more.
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: Terrible when a man don't cut a yard, you may
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: when a man don't have sex.
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: Yeah, just because she said he needed a man for real?
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: Yeah, he is. Well, let me say this, man, I
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: think you need to sit down and go listen to me.
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: And because this is what people don't understand. Words have power,
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: and you got to watch how you talk to your
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: mate because you can't get the words back and you
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: can forever damage a person. Man, I don't need you,
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: you need me?
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: What?
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: So he said, all right, cool, I'm gonna show you
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: you don't need me, okay, and he just started doing
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: some stuff that she needs.
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: On the way to church, they had this argument.
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: But I think you all need to sit down and
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: have a conversation and say this is what's happening here.
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: I just feel completely disrespected. How can you talk to
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: me that way and expect me to be the same.
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: You're tearing away at the fire of who I am. Now,
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: this can be built back, but we're gonna have to
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: We're gonna have to go from here. Now, let me
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: ask you something. What doing this argument? Did you say
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: to her? See? So when y'all sit down, make sure
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: you let her tell you what she heard, and then
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: you tell her what you heard, because oftentimes I hear
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: what you say, but I heard something different, and that
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: could be the case right here. So you're gonna have
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: to sit down and talk it out though.
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: Yeah, and it can't go on too much farther because
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: this is crazy.
- 1:16:26Speaker 7: Right.
- 1:16:26Speaker 2: He didn't care des quite a bit. Huh. I'll tell
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: you get care.
- 1:16:30Speaker 6: Yeah, all right, all right, we have time for another one, Steve.
- 1:16:34Speaker 6: This is from Anita and Juliette. Anita says, I was
- 1:16:37Speaker 6: on a date and it was so hot outside that
- 1:16:40Speaker 6: I kept wiping sweat from my forehead. Apparently I rubbed
- 1:16:45Speaker 6: so hard that I shifted my wig and didn't realize it.
- 1:16:49Speaker 6: An old black lady walked by and motioned for me
- 1:16:53Speaker 6: to come over to her. She pulled my wig around
- 1:16:56Speaker 6: and told me I needed some powder because I was
- 1:16:58Speaker 6: looking oily. My date saw it and heard her, and
- 1:17:02Speaker 6: he said the woman was out of line. I took
- 1:17:05Speaker 6: it as a grandmotherly gesture. Was Granny being shady or sweet?
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: No, she was being sweet. She know you're sitting up
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: there looking like a food wig off. You'd have wiped
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: all the base off your head.
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: You ain't the same color.
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: Your forehead ain't the same color now you now your
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: side burn that was on your wig is now I
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: got the little quelque in the front. You set up
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: there looking like Michael Jackson.
- 1:17:28Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: Yeah, the old lady was being very healthful. Yes, but
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: yeah we know that little curl coming down in forehead.
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: That's cause you done wiped your wig, your side burn
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: in the front of your head. Now, yeah, man, and
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: the dude he told me that. Now the dude is
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: just trying to you know, trying to make it like
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: it okay, you know any baby, she just she out
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: a line talking to you like that. Now it's just
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: an old black lady going be coming here.
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: Yeah, let me let me help you.
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: Here getting his bathroom and spread it and make up
- 1:18:07Speaker 2: our so you the say and color, Yeah.
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: That's all that was.
- 1:18:11Speaker 5: It was uh huh wow.
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: How is the way this world not work out? People?
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: Just take your pitch and post it. Look at this
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: food I saw at the restaurant.
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, but make sure I'm glad that the
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: grandmother was there.
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: So she could do this. Thank you.
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: She sure she deserves gratitude.
- 1:18:36Speaker 6: Coming up in twenty minutes after, we'll have more of
- 1:18:39Speaker 6: the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: Take it hot, It was hot. You're listening to the
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:18:52Speaker 6: All right, So Steve, today is you and Marjorie's twentieth
- 1:18:56Speaker 6: wedding anniversary. Yeah, congratulations, congratulations, congratulations. This is a massive achievement,

- 1:19:46Speaker 2: her father with her mother. I had to cancel all
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: the plans and stuff. Let them stay together because right
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: now her mother don't want her to leave because you know,
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: it was just the three of them. It was her mother,
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: her brother, and Marjorie. That's it, and so you know
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: it's gonna be a little bit different today. But I
- 1:20:06Speaker 2: do have a surprise for her, but I can't tell
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: you because we're on the radio, right okay, and we own.

- 1:20:18Speaker 2: been together for a while and you don't done everything,

- 1:22:39Speaker 1: you get done?
- 1:22:39Speaker 7: Now?
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: I can't get this. It's too late, it's too late.
- 1:22:43Speaker 2: We we.
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: Just work with what you have.

- 1:23:29Speaker 2: Yea have changed.
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: Because because he needed the ice cream to sue him?
- 1:23:34Speaker 9: All right?
- 1:23:35Speaker 6: Would you rather live in a mansion with a hoarder
- 1:23:40Speaker 6: or would you rather live in an apartment alone?
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: You know what a hoarder horder?
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: Okay, stuff everywhere. You just kind of barely can get
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: through the house.
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: But it's a mansion, though, Yeah, but you don't.
- 1:23:53Speaker 2: Hold it all over it though, you didn't all over
- 1:24:00Speaker 2: I live with a partial hoarder anyway.
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: What's a partial hoarder?
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: All leap shoes and bags in here? I know, gonn
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: here will We can't wear all these.
- 1:24:09Speaker 6: So I really lope we hoard now, No bags of
- 1:24:13Speaker 6: shoes do not count as hoarding, all right?
- 1:24:15Speaker 2: Oh, yes you do? They do?

- 1:25:28Speaker 6: All right, guys, here we are our last break on
- 1:25:30Speaker 6: the day, our last break of the day and on
- 1:25:33Speaker 6: the day, I guess for this show anyway, thank.
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: You for listening. As always, Steve, you have some closing
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: to take us out.
- 1:25:39Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, I was talking to carl off Ed.
- 1:25:42Speaker 2: We were talking about, oh something like I'll give you
- 1:25:47Speaker 2: an example. Early in the day, we were talking about
- 1:25:51Speaker 2: it's my anniversary and they said it was your twentieth anniversion.
- 1:25:56Speaker 2: I said, yeah, I remember this my nineteenth. But you know,
- 1:26:01Speaker 2: whatever I say, it don't matter, because the people who
- 1:26:05Speaker 2: want to troll are going to say what they want
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: to say, regardless he lying about his anniversary day. I
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: don't think they together anyway, because he got the number
- 1:26:14Speaker 2: on blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. So Carlo
- 1:26:17Speaker 2: was asking me and she said, Steve, does that ever
- 1:26:19Speaker 2: really bother you? And now, let's be honest. I'm a
- 1:26:23Speaker 2: human being, so of course when you hear lies about
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: you that's on the internet. Yeah, it bothers you because
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: you're a human being. But do I take time to
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: address it one percent? Absolutely not? Does it bother me?
- 1:26:39Speaker 2: I'm a human being because it does trouble you sometime.
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: Go man, where they get that from? Why would they
- 1:26:46Speaker 2: say that? Why don't take care of what happened to us? Well,
- 1:26:52Speaker 2: we stop pulling for each other. Do you know how
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: hard it is to be successful as a person? Now
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: throw in the added factor that you happen to be black.
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: Throw that on top of it. Do you know how
- 1:27:08Speaker 2: hard it is to be successful just for anybody? I
- 1:27:11Speaker 2: don't care what color you are. Then throw in the
- 1:27:14Speaker 2: added factor. Now throw in the other added factor that
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: along your way, that your biggest haters are contributed to
- 1:27:22Speaker 2: your downfall or pulling on the willingness to bring you down.
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: Are the people that's the same color as you. That's
- 1:27:30Speaker 2: crazy to me, That is absolutely crazy to me. We
- 1:27:36Speaker 2: are the last people on earth that need another roadblock.
- 1:27:42Speaker 2: We the last one that needs another deterrent. How much
- 1:27:47Speaker 2: we got to do, man, and we have got to
- 1:27:51Speaker 2: do better as a people. We really do for one another.
- 1:27:56Speaker 2: You know. Look, somebody asked me the opinion about Kevin
- 1:28:00Speaker 2: Hart's roast and all this here. I've done one roast
- 1:28:04Speaker 2: in my career. I've been asked to do a lot.
- 1:28:06Speaker 2: I wasn't asked to do Kevin's roast. I'm not saying that,
- 1:28:09Speaker 2: but I've been asked to do a lot of roasts
- 1:28:11Speaker 2: Shaquille O'Neill's all this a lot of people, and I
- 1:28:14Speaker 2: just don't do them because I don't like that. I
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: don't like that genre of comedy where we just sit
- 1:28:23Speaker 2: up and just tag at each other like ravenous dogs,
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: and then it's supposed to be funny and then you
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: got to sit there in a chair and just take it.
- 1:28:38Speaker 2: I just don't see that. And you know, man, I
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: just always try to use my platform in a positive way.
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: I try to use this four hours on this radio
- 1:28:49Speaker 2: show to uplift, to be spiritual, to be a reminder,
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: to be kind.
- 1:28:54Speaker 4: Now.
- 1:28:54Speaker 2: You know, we say some crazy stuff on this show
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: from time to time, but it's either done in light
- 1:28:59Speaker 2: of humor or something like that. And do we cross
- 1:29:02Speaker 2: the line. I think to some people we do, but
- 1:29:06Speaker 2: we're not intentionally trying to be jacked up. I really
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: really want you to just laugh and have a good time.
- 1:29:13Speaker 8: Now.
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: Is that oftentimes at the expense of someone, Yeah, because
- 1:29:17Speaker 2: that's what comedy is.
- 1:29:18Speaker 3: Man.
- 1:29:18Speaker 2: Comedy sometimes would be an ective expense. But if you're
- 1:29:21Speaker 2: not trying to be mean spirited. You can still do it.
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: But I just think man, that we as a people,
- 1:29:27Speaker 2: we've done enough, We've gone through enough. What else we
- 1:29:30Speaker 2: got to prove? So we got an administration now that
- 1:29:34Speaker 2: has destroyed DEI in this country. So in my mentoring camp,
- 1:29:39Speaker 2: they used to see in the twenty five soldiers and
- 1:29:42Speaker 2: a little check. Donald Trump became president and hired Elin
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: Musk to come through with DOGE. He cut our ALLDI program.
- 1:29:52Speaker 2: So they looked at my program and considered it a
- 1:29:54Speaker 2: DEI program because it's mostly black kids. So they removed
- 1:29:59Speaker 2: the sol and they removed the funding. But let me
- 1:30:03Speaker 2: tell you how effective this program is. The twenty soldiers
- 1:30:08Speaker 2: that normally come, that have been coming for years, and
- 1:30:10Speaker 2: the new ones that wanted to volunteer, they got together
- 1:30:14Speaker 2: and they took their leave of absence during the same
- 1:30:18Speaker 2: week as my mentoring camp and they came down there volunteered.
- 1:30:22Speaker 2: Now we lost the money, but we didn't lose the
- 1:30:25Speaker 2: men because they cared. White soldiers, black soldiers, because they cared.
- 1:30:32Speaker 2: Did you hear me? I said, white soldiers and black
- 1:30:36Speaker 2: soldiers because they cared. Now I'm gonna get out of
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: here and help Steve Harvey Ott. I heard about that
- 1:30:40Speaker 2: program is Great White and Black. So if we as
- 1:30:46Speaker 2: black people are going to be successful and are going
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: to become the best that we can be, it would
- 1:30:55Speaker 2: behoove us to be a bit more supportive of one another.
- 1:31:01Speaker 2: I got you trying to get clicks because you need
- 1:31:04Speaker 2: some money. But when you make money at the expense
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: of other people, you're going to suffer with that money.
- 1:31:11Speaker 2: I promise you you will that, ain't Steve Harvey. That's
- 1:31:15Speaker 2: the Lord, God Almighty. Do unto others as you would
- 1:31:18Speaker 2: have them do unto you. Forgive us our trustpasses as
- 1:31:22Speaker 2: you would forgive those who trustpass against you. If you
- 1:31:25Speaker 2: ain't got no forgiveness in your conversation, if you ain't
- 1:31:28Speaker 2: got no encouragement in your game, ain't none come in
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: your way. I wish we would do better.
- 1:31:34Speaker 8: Man.
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: That's something for us to think about, because I'm not
- 1:31:38Speaker 2: gonna tell nobody down on my show over and over
- 1:31:41Speaker 2: and over. I'm just not gonna do it. Y'all have
- 1:31:44Speaker 2: a great day to day.
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: Talk to God.
- 1:31:47Speaker 2: He would absolutely love to hear from you.
