- 0:17Speaker 1: things and it's not me true good Steve to mother Stey,
- 0:38Speaker 1: don't you join Jo. You gotta use that turn hur
- 1:24Speaker 1: you gotta turn to turn them out. Turn haven't got
- 1:44Speaker 1: to turn them out? Then turn the water the water go.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your back. Huh. I shall well a
- 2:03Speaker 1: good morning every about it. You'll listening to the voice.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Come on dignity now one it only Steve Harvey got
- 2:10Speaker 1: a radio show. Okay, I want to talk to you
- 2:17Speaker 1: today about success. But I want to talk to you
- 2:23Speaker 1: about it like I usually do in terms of a
- 2:27Speaker 1: principle of it, but I want to share something with
- 2:31Speaker 1: you about it. And I was talking to my daughter
- 2:34Speaker 1: about it. I've talked about my son in law about it,
- 2:38Speaker 1: talked about it with all my children, and I'm really
- 2:41Speaker 1: starting to express it to them now because I'm talking
- 2:44Speaker 1: to a wide range of people constantly. But I want
- 2:48Speaker 1: to share something with you. If you have any aspiration
- 2:52Speaker 1: of being successful, I want you to realize, starting right now,
- 2:58Speaker 1: the effort that is going to require. And that's why
- 3:01Speaker 1: I think it stops a lot of people. I think
- 3:03Speaker 1: a lot of people are never told or don't understand
- 3:08Speaker 1: the sheer effort that's that it takes to become successful
- 3:12Speaker 1: at anything, in any area of your life. If you
- 3:16Speaker 1: think that doing your best is enough, that I got
- 3:20Speaker 1: news for you. It's not. Well, Steve, what if you've
- 3:25Speaker 1: done your best, though, and your best ain't good enough? Well,
- 3:30Speaker 1: let me ask you that same question. Hold on. If
- 3:32Speaker 1: you want to be successful and you've done your best
- 3:35Speaker 1: and best isn't good enough, what you through? That's it?
- 3:39Speaker 1: But Steve, it was my best? No no, no, no.
- 3:43Speaker 1: It was the best you had at that time, in
- 3:45Speaker 1: that particular day. But tomorrow add something to it. You've
- 3:52Speaker 1: never done everything. There is no you can't go no more,
- 3:56Speaker 1: you can't add no more. I've seen marathon runners end
- 4:01Speaker 1: up crawling across the line. I've seen triath line people
- 4:04Speaker 1: man just staggering in the street and didn't want nobody
- 4:08Speaker 1: to help them because they knew that would disqualify them
- 4:11Speaker 1: from the race. You got more? Have you ever dipped
- 4:17Speaker 1: into your reserve tank? That's what we're talking about now.
- 4:21Speaker 1: See all of us have a reserve tank, you know,
- 4:24Speaker 1: I you know on my ranch. I like to ride
- 4:27Speaker 1: four wheelers. I have all terrain vehicles and all of
- 4:30Speaker 1: them have a gas tank on it and a gas
- 4:33Speaker 1: tank and most of mine, let me see all of them. Yeah,
- 4:36Speaker 1: all of them have gas tank needles on them, and
- 4:38Speaker 1: it lets me know when I get down towards eat
- 4:42Speaker 1: there's a little lane that's read that lets me know. Okay, Steve,
- 4:46Speaker 1: you're in the danger zone. Now you're riding into the
- 4:49Speaker 1: lowest part of your tank. But if I keep riding
- 4:52Speaker 1: and I forget to get some gas in there, guess
- 4:55Speaker 1: what when it runs out of gas. All of my
- 4:59Speaker 1: all terrain Vie hookles, all of them, Honda, Polaris, all
- 5:03Speaker 1: of them. Those are the makers. There's a button on
- 5:07Speaker 1: the gas tank itself that I can click and it
- 5:11Speaker 1: says reserve. That means they know that for the hardcore riders,
- 5:18Speaker 1: they're gonna ride somewhere and they're gonna get themselves into
- 5:21Speaker 1: situation and they're gonna run out of everything. They're gonna
- 5:25Speaker 1: run out of road, they're gonna run out of gas.
- 5:28Speaker 1: They've prepared because they know for the hardcore rider, every
- 5:31Speaker 1: hardcore rider needs a reserve tank. And so there's a
- 5:35Speaker 1: button that you can click on the gas tank, that
- 5:38Speaker 1: clicks it into a reserve, and it will give you
- 5:41Speaker 1: about fifty miles or twenty miles worth of gas in
- 5:46Speaker 1: that Now, guess what in that reserve That may be
- 5:49Speaker 1: all you need to get you the where you're going,
- 5:53Speaker 1: or get you back to safety so you can refuel.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Don't tell me you've done your best. When your best,
- 5:59Speaker 1: don't cut it. What you're gonna do. See when best
- 6:04Speaker 1: is possible, then good enough ain't enough. See that's good enough.
- 6:10Speaker 1: But if the best is possible, why would you not
- 6:12Speaker 1: shoot for that? And you you are all capable of
- 6:15Speaker 1: making it. But you've got to change your mindset and
- 6:19Speaker 1: realize the effort that has to be put forth in
- 6:22Speaker 1: becoming successful. You've got to do it relentlessly, over and
- 6:27Speaker 1: over and over and over and every day. I try
- 6:30Speaker 1: to do something to progress my life for the better.
- 6:34Speaker 1: I try to do something every day. I wake up
- 6:37Speaker 1: every day with the plan. Some phone calls, some meetings,
- 6:40Speaker 1: some some some interviews. Something man that's going to advance
- 6:45Speaker 1: and move the brand forward. Because here's what's gonna happen.
- 6:48Speaker 1: You are Let's say you reach your goal. Let's say
- 6:51Speaker 1: your goal is to make now one hundred thousand dollars. Well,
- 6:56Speaker 1: I got news for you. Listen to this. When you
- 6:59Speaker 1: make the one hundred thousand dollars, you can't go on
- 7:02Speaker 1: noway and go on vacation and put your hand behind
- 7:05Speaker 1: your head and say I made a hundred thousand dollars.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Guess what you got to do. You got to find
- 7:10Speaker 1: a way now to maintain that a hundred thousand, to
- 7:13Speaker 1: keep it coming in. So you can't just get there
- 7:17Speaker 1: and stop and rest and whoa. It is harder to
- 7:20Speaker 1: maintain your success than it is to get successful. See,
- 7:25Speaker 1: let's say, let me let me show you this. Supposed
- 7:28Speaker 1: it takes you five to eight years to find a
- 7:34Speaker 1: way to make fifty thousand dollars. Let's say it takes
- 7:37Speaker 1: you five to eight years to find a way to
- 7:40Speaker 1: make an extra fifty thousand dollars, and you finally, through
- 7:43Speaker 1: work and effort, you get to the fifty thousand dollars. More,
- 7:48Speaker 1: that's that's it's only just begun now, because guess what,
- 7:52Speaker 1: in order to keep the fifty coming in, you got
- 7:57Speaker 1: to duplicate what you did to get there. And then, oh,
- 8:01Speaker 1: here's what you're going to have the audacity being a
- 8:04Speaker 1: human being You're gonna want another fifty because you're a
- 8:08Speaker 1: human being, because you gotta have something else to shoot for.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Now you're gonna want another fifty. Well, now that guess
- 8:14Speaker 1: what you gotta do. Now, Now you gotta do what
- 8:16Speaker 1: you did before, plus you gotta come up with something else.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Then after that you're gonna have the audacity. Because you're humans,
- 8:24Speaker 1: you're gonna want another fifty. Says how this works? And
- 8:30Speaker 1: see that that's that that's the importance of your relationship
- 8:34Speaker 1: with God, because you're gonna constantly need it. And I
- 8:37Speaker 1: ain't have a point where you're gonna be through needing it.
- 8:39Speaker 1: But there ain't gonna become a point in your life
- 8:41Speaker 1: where you're gonna through. Won't through, be through, won't nothing
- 8:43Speaker 1: unless you don't just gave up. And if you don't
- 8:45Speaker 1: gave up, who wants that? Come on, y'all? This is
- 8:49Speaker 1: going to take quite a bit of effort, and if
- 8:54Speaker 1: you think it will come to you any other way,
- 8:56Speaker 1: you're sadly mistaken. Because of all the successful people I know,
- 9:00Speaker 1: I know that the effort they put out on a
- 9:02Speaker 1: daily basis is daunting, and I think that the average
- 9:05Speaker 1: person just doesn't understand the requirement of time and effort
- 9:09Speaker 1: that it takes to get that and willingness to put
- 9:12Speaker 1: it out. You gotta cut a lot of monkey business
- 9:15Speaker 1: out your life. All that hanging out, all that late
- 9:19Speaker 1: and all that club and all that drinking, all that.
- 9:22Speaker 1: You gotta cut a whole lot of monkey business out
- 9:24Speaker 1: to be successful. Man, if you're planning on being successful,
- 9:30Speaker 1: get up early, stay up late, work, try, think, meet, greet, smile, attract.
- 9:38Speaker 1: It takes a lot, let's go, but you can do it.
- 9:40Speaker 1: God is pressed to plassing out blessings all day long.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Why are you not in line for yours? I'm telling
- 9:46Speaker 1: you right now, I want everything God got for me,
- 9:49Speaker 1: because what he's shown me so far wool. If he
- 9:52Speaker 1: got some more man on, man, how good is God?
- 9:56Speaker 1: Huntre ladies and gentlemen. In the words of Marvin Gay,
- 10:05Speaker 1: Let's get it on, baby, Let's get it on, ladies
- 10:12Speaker 1: and gentlemen. This is a Steve Harvey Morning Show, a
- 10:15Speaker 1: miracle in the middle of a crisis. That's what we're

- 11:12Speaker 1: The mayor is clear on where she stands. She pointed
- 11:17Speaker 1: that out. I saw her on Cuomo on CNN. Bottom. Oh,
- 11:22Speaker 1: but that that sister is clear on where she stands.
- 11:25Speaker 1: But the governor, the lost history rabbit ass man look
- 11:31Speaker 1: like a set up. Friday. Yeah, yeah, that's I'm just
- 11:38Speaker 1: hoping with everything in me that people use better side
- 11:44Speaker 1: of discretion, use their common sense. We've all gone through
- 11:50Speaker 1: a lot of stuff. If it sounds too good to
- 11:52Speaker 1: be true, it usually is usual. Better judgment in your
- 11:57Speaker 1: common sense. We are not going to volunteer the be
- 11:59Speaker 1: Guinea pig. You're not even tested on us. And see
- 12:02Speaker 1: how I go with us? No, no partner, and Steve right,
- 12:10Speaker 1: and let me know that right, and please let the
- 12:13Speaker 1: people know that we want to get back. We want
- 12:15Speaker 1: you to get back to work too, and we want
- 12:17Speaker 1: a normal life too, and all of that. We know
- 12:20Speaker 1: that people, everybody, We get that, we really really do,
- 12:23Speaker 1: but we want to do it safely and responsibly. This
- 12:28Speaker 1: thing can kiss you. Everybody is tired of the quarantine. Everybody,
- 12:35Speaker 1: most ninety nine point nine percent of the people that
- 12:39Speaker 1: I know want to get back to some sense of normality.
- 12:44Speaker 1: But it ain't time yet. And if we're not even
- 12:47Speaker 1: medical doctors, and we know every medical doctor, every frontline
- 12:52Speaker 1: worker is saying too early, too early, too early. What
- 12:55Speaker 1: made this governor decide that Georgia would be the test state?
- 13:01Speaker 1: You must be kidding me, man, Who is this guy?
- 13:05Speaker 1: What is his real motivation for doing it? We're gonna
- 13:08Speaker 1: talk about that today, because I think there's another motivation.
- 13:12Speaker 1: It ain't no, let's all get back to work. No,
- 13:15Speaker 1: I think it's deeper than that, y'all. Oh, let's get
- 13:18Speaker 1: to die in. Let's get to die in. It's Wednesday,
- 13:22Speaker 1: you know, we can talk about that. We can switch
- 13:25Speaker 1: it and come back to that if you like. But

- 16:43Speaker 1: push them? I got one. I got one for you.
- 16:48Speaker 1: What y'all been talking about on radio? No, just just
- 16:52Speaker 1: what you're talking about the quarantine. Uh, you know the

- 17:24Speaker 1: have any tattoos to stroll down? Nothing? Girl? No, I
- 17:27Speaker 1: don't have no tattoos. I ain't got time be laying
- 17:30Speaker 1: up on the old man, leaning on this style, trying
- 17:33Speaker 1: to draw on it. Wait, it didn't have to be
- 17:36Speaker 1: on the thigh. Well that's the only place I could
- 17:39Speaker 1: get one where I could have had it. Oh, I
- 17:43Speaker 1: ain't getting a tattoo. You don't mark your body. You
- 17:45Speaker 1: don't do that, not as Christian? Where a lot of

- 18:03Speaker 1: Oh okay, so what have you been doing quarantining? Have
- 18:09Speaker 1: you been watching watching any TV? You know, washing, cooking?
- 18:14Speaker 1: What you've been doing? Or I've been cooking cooking there
- 18:18Speaker 1: they did the online cooking coat you know, cooking cooking
- 18:22Speaker 1: or quantity foods. But that's good eating quantity greens, because greens,
- 18:27Speaker 1: you make a pot of greens, you just eat off
- 18:29Speaker 1: of skillet. Cone bread. I got that on flyes or
- 18:34Speaker 1: you know. Or I made a honey corn bread with
- 18:37Speaker 1: honey botter. Oh you know, case you don't feel like
- 18:40Speaker 1: making cake, eat that, you know, And then lost and
- 18:45Speaker 1: just everything. And then I stole the recipe off of
- 18:48Speaker 1: Timing because you know Timmy push food on the internet. Yes, man, man,
- 18:53Speaker 1: I been watching him. You know. He had a piece
- 18:55Speaker 1: of flounder one time. Gread big old flying head a
- 18:59Speaker 1: horle stick a butter it down there. I said, ain't
- 19:01Speaker 1: he trying to die? But I tried that. I you know,
- 19:08Speaker 1: I don't care for flying that that much. So I
- 19:10Speaker 1: took a catfish and opened it up and did the
- 19:12Speaker 1: same thing with it. Yeah, girl, And then I fried
- 19:17Speaker 1: it unt it did? I olden the catfish up? I
- 19:24Speaker 1: stuffed the stickle butter down and then I sold it
- 19:27Speaker 1: shut looking thread okay, and girl, when you cut into it,
- 19:37Speaker 1: butter Jes bus hopped it. My god, Jes said, juice, juice, juice, juice. Yeah,
- 19:48Speaker 1: I did that recipe. And then Tommy had another on
- 19:52Speaker 1: that way. It cooked a pot of gumbo. But he
- 19:54Speaker 1: had numbered hot dogs on the top of it. I
- 19:57Speaker 1: thought he thought. I didn't notice it just with Hey, Dewey, sausage,
- 20:04Speaker 1: you good day. He wants you to thank you do
- 20:06Speaker 1: it so I know doing sausage when I see it
- 20:08Speaker 1: called I knew Dowey. I knew Dewey, granddaddy. What was
- 20:11Speaker 1: his name, foolie, foolish sausage, granddaddy Foye. And it created
- 20:18Speaker 1: a sausage and named it after son Dewey whois sausage. Yes, no,
- 20:31Speaker 1: well he called with another prank that you harried yesterday.
- 20:35Speaker 1: It's called running that prank back that way. You call
- 20:38Speaker 1: it what you want to call it, called some repeat
- 20:40Speaker 1: all right after this, thank you, sister Dale. You're listening
- 20:44Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at the top
- 20:48Speaker 1: of the hour. Miss Anne is standing by with today's
- 20:51Speaker 1: national news. Also on Entertainment News, Jennifer Lopez and a
- 20:55Speaker 1: Rod are looking to buy the New York Mets. Have
- 20:58Speaker 1: you heard about that? ESPN's Michael Jordan's The Last Dance
- 21:02Speaker 1: Documentary Part one and two is ESPN's most viewed documentary
- 21:08Speaker 1: ever ever. Okay, yeah, yeah, we'll talk about these stories
- 21:14Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, but right now, the

- 23:15Speaker 1: like we kid just do like her, like her college

- 23:35Speaker 1: prom atmosphere, and we definitely want every student. Yeah, and

- 23:42Speaker 1: But you know, we haven't been able to go anywhere
- 23:45Speaker 1: her to do anything, so I would assume you're making
- 23:47Speaker 1: an exception for you know, anybody who doesn't have anything
- 23:50Speaker 1: like No, there are no exceptions, man, there are no exceptions.
- 23:53Speaker 1: You will have to have a gown. All the gentlemen

- 24:34Speaker 1: don't even know who'd be open to get a dress.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Why am I gonna spend money on a dress when
- 24:37Speaker 1: she's gonna use it in the house besides that? Okay,
- 24:40Speaker 1: you're trying to tell me, Wait a minute, wait, you're
- 24:42Speaker 1: trying to tell me that she can't graduate if she
- 24:45Speaker 1: doesn't have a prom dress for if she doesn't go
- 24:48Speaker 1: to this thing in a dress, that that Those are
- 24:52Speaker 1: the rules, man, those are the rules I work I
- 24:56Speaker 1: work for. I work for v proms, and the school

- 25:20Speaker 1: virtual crap, that she's not going to graduate. Well, you
- 25:23Speaker 1: need to take everything that I'm telling you and tell
- 25:25Speaker 1: the school that they can figure it out. Because she's
- 25:28Speaker 1: not going to be showing up and showing up what
- 25:30Speaker 1: am I? She's gonna be on the on the computer sitting.
- 25:32Speaker 1: No, no no, no, this isn't gonna happen, so you better

- 25:43Speaker 1: How convenient you run the problem, you run the dress
- 25:46Speaker 1: company and the dress is required that that just seems
- 25:50Speaker 1: like more than a coincidence. But okay, you know what,
- 25:53Speaker 1: Let no, Leslie can't go to the problem this year.
- 25:56Speaker 1: I guess she ain't graduating because you know what, I'm sure,

- 27:28Speaker 1: was dumb enough to get a dress, I would never
- 27:30Speaker 1: get it from you. I don't know who you are
- 27:33Speaker 1: talking to talking to me about my financials and what
- 27:35Speaker 1: I can afford in private school. You don't know who
- 27:38Speaker 1: the guy I am, so I don't know who you

- 30:16Speaker 1: three weeks ago in South Africa and in Ghana. The
- 30:21Speaker 1: first week in Ghana it was the number two show
- 30:26Speaker 1: on all of television. It is now the number one
- 30:31Speaker 1: show in all of television in Ghania. Family Feud South
- 30:38Speaker 1: Africa aired at number one and has built on it.
- 30:43Speaker 1: It is the highest grossing and highest view TV show
- 30:49Speaker 1: in the country. Congratulations, have you watched it? Ain't seen

- 31:14Speaker 1: But the clips are starting to be released. Lord have mercy.
- 31:17Speaker 1: When I started telling y'all about it, it's but because
- 31:25Speaker 1: the accents I was going to ask you, did you
- 31:28Speaker 1: have a problem with that that I have a problem with?
- 31:31Speaker 1: Shouldn't I have a problem with readily English English? So boy,
- 31:36Speaker 1: they was laughing so hard at me. Steve, Why are you?
- 31:41Speaker 1: Why are you not understanding man, Me and this dude
- 31:46Speaker 1: got an argument so bad. It's really really some funny stuff.
- 31:51Speaker 1: I'll tell y'all how to find the clips tomorrow, all right,
- 31:56Speaker 1: all right? Um. Also, did you guys check out the
- 31:58Speaker 1: Grammy tribute to Prince Yes, ye, yes, Steve. It was
- 32:04Speaker 1: really good Earthwin and Fire Philip Bailey singing Shore. Oh
- 32:10Speaker 1: my ass missed that too, but we told you about Yeah, yeah, hey, hey,
- 32:18Speaker 1: you got to remind me his own. It was really
- 32:23Speaker 1: good though, a very fitting tribute. And other entertainment news,
- 32:29Speaker 1: Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are rumored to be buying
- 32:33Speaker 1: the New York Mets. A Rod and j Loo are
- 32:36Speaker 1: putting up a small percentage of the cash necessary to
- 32:39Speaker 1: make a deal, and they're looking for other big investors.
- 32:42Speaker 1: Multiple news outlets report that the Mets are worth around
- 32:45Speaker 1: two point four billion with a bat dollars. Met superfan
- 32:50Speaker 1: comedian Jerry Seinfeld says he's not interested in buying the Mets.
- 32:54Speaker 1: He said, it's too much work. There you go, all right,
- 32:59Speaker 1: time to move on. Yeah. I feel the same way too,
- 33:04Speaker 1: but it ain't caused it too much work. It's much
- 33:07Speaker 1: damn money. Yeah, all right, Steve time you get caught
- 33:10Speaker 1: up on ladies and gentlemen, Miss Ann Tripp. Thanks guys,
- 33:14Speaker 1: this is a tripp. And here we go with the news.
- 33:16Speaker 1: President Trump says that the Congress has agreed on yet
- 33:19Speaker 1: another Corona related stimulus bill, this one adding about a
- 33:23Speaker 1: half a trillion dollars an additional COVID nineteen eight. And
- 33:26Speaker 1: that's on top of the two point two tree in
- 33:28Speaker 1: bucks the authorized by last month's money measures. So this
- 33:31Speaker 1: is additional money. In fact, most of this dough is
- 33:34Speaker 1: to replenish the dollars a lot of for small business
- 33:37Speaker 1: loans programs, to send it past the Paycheck Protection Program
- 33:40Speaker 1: and Healthcare Enhancement Act, with additional funding for the Paycheck
- 33:45Speaker 1: Protection Program, hospitals and testing. A lot of money for
- 33:50Speaker 1: all of them, especially for our workers and our small businesses.
- 33:54Speaker 1: And yes, Trump says he supports this new bill and
- 33:56Speaker 1: we'll sign it into law. By the way, the measure
- 33:58Speaker 1: not only includes more small business loan money, but additional
- 34:01Speaker 1: funds to support hospitals twenty five billion for testing a loan.
- 34:05Speaker 1: The new bill was passed by the Senate now goes
- 34:07Speaker 1: to the House of Representatives. They may vote on it
- 34:09Speaker 1: today and then to the desk of the President and yes,
- 34:11Speaker 1: he says he will sign it. Georgia's Republican Governor, Bryant Kemp,
- 34:15Speaker 1: has announced a partial reopening of his state's business community.
- 34:18Speaker 1: Kemp says a hair salons, bowling alleys, tattoo parlors and
- 34:22Speaker 1: alike and reopen for business on Friday. Kemp says some
- 34:25Speaker 1: restaurants can reopen for in house dining this coming Monday.
- 34:28Speaker 1: But get this. While Trump points out that Georgia and
- 34:31Speaker 1: some other nineteen other US states are moving toward reopening
- 34:34Speaker 1: parts of their economies this week and next, national polls
- 34:37Speaker 1: show that most Americans are in favor of keeping stay
- 34:40Speaker 1: at home in social distancing rules in place, at least
- 34:43Speaker 1: for now until they feel more comfortable. Believe it or not.
- 34:45Speaker 1: A report issue by the Republican dominated Senate Intelligence Committee.
- 34:48Speaker 1: You heard me say, Republican dominated. They're backing the findings
- 34:52Speaker 1: by the US Intelligence Committee that found that Russia did,
- 34:55Speaker 1: in fact try to help Donald Trump win the presidential election,
- 34:58Speaker 1: thereby undercutting Trump's claim that it was all fake news.
- 35:01Speaker 1: The Senate Committee sound that members of the FBI and
- 35:04Speaker 1: CIA were not biased against Trump, but rather use quote
- 35:08Speaker 1: sound analytical judgment and arriving at their conclusion. And by
- 35:11Speaker 1: the way, that vote was unanimous. Here's something looks like
- 35:14Speaker 1: the Food and Drug Administration giving and the nod to
- 35:16Speaker 1: the first home kit designed to take a sample for
- 35:18Speaker 1: coronavirus testing. The new tests still require a doctor's note.
- 35:22Speaker 1: Quote to a recent poll by the Anti Defamation League,
- 35:24Speaker 1: about two thirds of Jews in this country feel less
- 35:27Speaker 1: safe now than they did ten years ago. Fifty percent
- 35:30Speaker 1: say they've experienced a witness an incident that they felt
- 35:32Speaker 1: was anti Semitism. Looks like some people trying to trying
- 35:36Speaker 1: to clean their their masks by microwaving them. That's not
- 35:39Speaker 1: doing anything, that's closing fires. And finally, today's International Earth Day,
- 35:44Speaker 1: So enjoy the Earth if you can. Now back to
- 35:47Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning shows you're listening to show the
- 35:52Speaker 1: Senate path to four hundred and eighty dollars billion dollars
- 35:55Speaker 1: package for small business stimulus and also gave aid to
- 35:58Speaker 1: hospitals at the federal government tries to rebuild the economy
- 36:02Speaker 1: caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Also, states in the South
- 36:06Speaker 1: like Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee are moving along to
- 36:11Speaker 1: reopen despite hotspots that are emerging in these areas. And Georgia, barbershops,
- 36:17Speaker 1: beauty salons, bowling alleys will be open Friday and on
- 36:20Speaker 1: May first, most businesses in Tennessee will reopen. In South Carolina,
- 36:25Speaker 1: some businesses will reopen, but we'll have to follow social
- 36:29Speaker 1: distancing guidelines. These governors want to also help ease their
- 36:34Speaker 1: state's economic strain from the pandemic, all right, so they're
- 36:38Speaker 1: opening up. That's the that's the outside truth. One of
- 36:43Speaker 1: the hidden measures in all of these guys is this.
- 36:47Speaker 1: The government's unemployment fund is being depleted because of the
- 36:52Speaker 1: record number of people filing for unemployment. So as you
- 36:58Speaker 1: open up these states, little by little, these people have
- 37:02Speaker 1: to come off unemployment, right. You see, it's a trick,
- 37:07Speaker 1: move the game. It's just a game. But they're doing
- 37:10Speaker 1: it in places with large metropolis areas occupied by guess who, oh,
- 37:17Speaker 1: let me think you we George letting me say, the
- 37:22Speaker 1: state of Georgia is Atlanta. Don't don't, don't get it twisted.
- 37:27Speaker 1: It's it's the state of Georgia is Atlanta. If you
- 37:30Speaker 1: take Atlanta out of here, you got a rural farm land.
- 37:35Speaker 1: And that's really the truth that's hearts feel the busiest
- 37:38Speaker 1: airport in the country. That like, you're talking about something
- 37:43Speaker 1: major here. So once you start doing this, man, you've
- 37:46Speaker 1: got to understand what's happening. We cannot be guinea pigs
- 37:49Speaker 1: for this man's trial run. This man is showing no
- 37:52Speaker 1: regard for human life versus profit. And it's gonna clean
- 37:57Speaker 1: up the books, it's gonna easiest. And then the stimulus
- 38:01Speaker 1: check that y'all fitting to get that everybody fitting to
- 38:03Speaker 1: be real happy to get. You know what you're gonna do.
- 38:05Speaker 1: You're gonna take this to the stove and you're gonna
- 38:08Speaker 1: spend it and give it right back. And guess what
- 38:10Speaker 1: you're gonna pay on that money. You're gonna get their
- 38:12Speaker 1: sales tax and guess what, they're gonna get some of
- 38:14Speaker 1: that money back. And you're gonna get sick while you're
- 38:17Speaker 1: doing all that. And this money that you think they're
- 38:22Speaker 1: giving you is your money. It's taxes where you think
- 38:26Speaker 1: they get it from. Man, they're not giving you. They're
- 38:30Speaker 1: not giving you anything. They're letting you hold some of yours.
- 38:35Speaker 1: And if you think that them Republicans ain't gonna let
- 38:39Speaker 1: take this back out of Medicare and Social Security programs
- 38:43Speaker 1: and any other handouts they can nail this thing on.
- 38:46Speaker 1: You better believe that they don't give you money without
- 38:49Speaker 1: getting it back. That's not the Republican way. Come on,
- 38:52Speaker 1: all right, real talk pandemic. All right, Steve, thank you
- 39:00Speaker 1: for that. Coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour,
- 39:02Speaker 1: we're going to switch gears. Time to ask the CLO.
- 39:06Speaker 1: The Chief Love Officer is in the building right after this.
- 39:09Speaker 1: You're listening to show Time now for ask the CLO
- 39:15Speaker 1: the Chief Love Officer. Please submit your questions at Steve
- 39:18Speaker 1: HARVEYFM dot com. CLO Steve. This is from anonymous in Maryland.
- 39:23Speaker 1: She says, I'm a forty seven year old woman and
- 39:27Speaker 1: I married a man that's eleven years older than me.
- 39:30Speaker 1: We've only been married nine months, and after we got married,
- 39:33Speaker 1: I found out he has diabetes and diverticulitis and that
- 39:39Speaker 1: causes erectile dysfunctions. I waited until we got married to
- 39:44Speaker 1: have sex, and well I'm still waiting. Do you think
- 39:48Speaker 1: it's selfish of me to leave him because he's sick
- 39:51Speaker 1: and didn't tell me. I took vows for better or
- 39:54Speaker 1: for worse, but I did not vow to live the
- 39:56Speaker 1: rest of my life without sex. What should I do? Well,
- 40:01Speaker 1: he can get some medical attention to help him with
- 40:04Speaker 1: this problem here. He's obviously a great guy. He convinced
- 40:08Speaker 1: you not to hell sex, probably because y'all used or religion,
- 40:12Speaker 1: or but he respects you, or he wants to treat
- 40:15Speaker 1: you with respect, and then it turn out to find
- 40:18Speaker 1: out he can't do it no way. Diabetes causes e
- 40:22Speaker 1: ED and I don't know what it is, she says,
- 40:25Speaker 1: she got a divers participilitis of I don't know what
- 40:30Speaker 1: that is. I ain't making fun of nobody with it.
- 40:32Speaker 1: But first of all, you've got to get the diabetes addressed.
- 40:41Speaker 1: There are things you can do to help him along
- 40:44Speaker 1: the way. He can go to the doctor and get
- 40:46Speaker 1: all of this stuff fixed, but he gonna have to
- 40:49Speaker 1: change his diet first. If you can get him to
- 40:52Speaker 1: change his diet and go to the doctor, they got
- 40:56Speaker 1: some stuff for dudes that's having them problems even with diabetes.
- 41:00Speaker 1: Now to diabetes ain't help me. I don't know what
- 41:02Speaker 1: this other thing is it got, but you can get
- 41:04Speaker 1: some help with medical, but you got to change the
- 41:06Speaker 1: diet first. If somebody told me I could change my
- 41:09Speaker 1: diet and fix an ed problem by just eating corn.
- 41:14Speaker 1: Then I just be eating corn. I don't give it right,
- 41:21Speaker 1: you know, he could say, you know, off the husk,
- 41:24Speaker 1: you ain't even have to cook it. I eat it
- 41:27Speaker 1: raw off the stalk, just to make sure I get
- 41:31Speaker 1: all the nutrits. You're not cooking a damn thing out
- 41:34Speaker 1: of my corn. Next question, surely Carmen in South Carolina says,
- 41:40Speaker 1: my boyfriend and I are in our mid twenties and
- 41:42Speaker 1: we've been dating for two years. He treats me like
- 41:44Speaker 1: a queen, but he is not motivated to finish college
- 41:47Speaker 1: or get a better job. He is content working at
- 41:50Speaker 1: the local factory doing hard labor. He works third shift,
- 41:54Speaker 1: and when he's coming home, I'm going to work. I'm
- 41:57Speaker 1: ready to buy my own home. But he says he
- 41:59Speaker 1: wants to marry me and we can buy a home together.
- 42:01Speaker 1: My friends say that we're not equally yoked and I
- 42:05Speaker 1: should break up with him. What do you think? First
- 42:08Speaker 1: of all, skip your friends. Friends don't always give the
- 42:12Speaker 1: best advice if you're in your mid twenties. I'm assuming
- 42:14Speaker 1: that your friends are somewhere in they mid twenties. What
- 42:17Speaker 1: do they know about sticking it out and hanging in
- 42:20Speaker 1: there and riding and building a life together. You're in
- 42:23Speaker 1: your mid twenties. You got a chance to build. I
- 42:26Speaker 1: think what you should do is just slow it down
- 42:27Speaker 1: a little bit. Talk to him about future and what's
- 42:31Speaker 1: his plans for growth? And now if he has no
- 42:35Speaker 1: growth plans, see here's a deal. Every woman should find
- 42:39Speaker 1: out what a man's plan is, because if you can't
- 42:43Speaker 1: see yourself fitting into that man's plans, then go on
- 42:47Speaker 1: with your life, you know, just move on if he
- 42:51Speaker 1: has no plans of improving. But he's happy with third
- 42:54Speaker 1: shift and he's happy with twenty I don't know what
- 42:57Speaker 1: they make hour, twenty some dollars hour. He cool with that,
- 43:01Speaker 1: and he ain't got no problem living his life like that.
- 43:04Speaker 1: But you want more and he don't. We have a problem. Yeah,
- 43:08Speaker 1: And in that regard you, you're not only not equally yoke,
- 43:12Speaker 1: you're not going anywhere. If he doesn't describe a future
- 43:15Speaker 1: that you like, why would you join in with that future?
- 43:18Speaker 1: And you're right, Steve, don't let your friends tell you
- 43:20Speaker 1: what to do. Anita and Baton Rouge. Louisiana says, I've
- 43:24Speaker 1: been dating a married man since January, so it's fairly new.
- 43:28Speaker 1: He said he is separated and living with his aunt,
- 43:30Speaker 1: but I don't know if it's true or not. He's
- 43:33Speaker 1: been coming by to check on me and love on
- 43:36Speaker 1: me while I'm stuck at home, and we do everything
- 43:38Speaker 1: besides having sex. He says he won't have sex with
- 43:43Speaker 1: me until his divorce is final. He has spent the
- 43:45Speaker 1: night at my house and my child knows him as
- 43:48Speaker 1: my new boyfriend. Do you think I should tell him
- 43:50Speaker 1: to stop coming over until he's divorced. You ain't stopped
- 43:54Speaker 1: him this far. I'll finished it when we come back. Well,
- 43:57Speaker 1: it's so crazy. Coming up next, we are gonna switch
- 44:01Speaker 1: gearson go to the prank phone call, and Steve will
- 44:03Speaker 1: finish up his CLO question right after this You're listening
- 44:08Speaker 1: show coming up at the top of the hour, right
- 44:11Speaker 1: about four minutes after. It's my Strawberry letter for today's subject,
- 44:14Speaker 1: she will not take my man from me. Also, we're
- 44:18Speaker 1: getting into the prank phone call. But first before we
- 44:21Speaker 1: did that, Steve, you wanted to answer your CLLO question
- 44:24Speaker 1: the young lady Anita from Baton Rouge. The question a
- 44:27Speaker 1: married man. She's dating a married man and she wants
- 44:30Speaker 1: to know should she tell him to stop coming over
- 44:33Speaker 1: here until after he's divorced. Did she say how old
- 44:36Speaker 1: she was? No, she did not. First of all, not
- 44:40Speaker 1: having sex. He comes over there, not having sex, he's
- 44:44Speaker 1: spending the night, Your child knows him as your new boyfriend.
- 44:48Speaker 1: He tells you he's in the process of the divorce,
- 44:50Speaker 1: he won't have sex till he's unmarried, and he's living
- 44:53Speaker 1: with his aunt. First of all, you need to just
- 44:56Speaker 1: check a couple of things out. It's easy to find
- 44:59Speaker 1: out if he's really living with his aunt. You need
- 45:03Speaker 1: to find that out because if that's a lie, a
- 45:06Speaker 1: couple of other things could be lies. So just find
- 45:09Speaker 1: out if he's really living with his aunt, and then
- 45:12Speaker 1: find out what what stage the divorces in, and find
- 45:15Speaker 1: out if that's true. If you're not having sex, you
- 45:18Speaker 1: obviously made a decision about it in some regard. But
- 45:21Speaker 1: I don't know what to tell you whether you should
- 45:23Speaker 1: stop letting him come by now y'all ain't doing nothing,
- 45:26Speaker 1: so I don't know what to tell you about that. Congratulations,
- 45:30Speaker 1: All right, All right, here we go, y'all brands making
- 45:38Speaker 1: new your barbecue, ain't right? Oh, it's a lot of
- 45:43Speaker 1: men that's at home, and all they want to do
- 45:46Speaker 1: is fight it, find it, pit up, and you know
- 45:50Speaker 1: everybody don't know what they're doing. So hidios take a listen,
- 45:54Speaker 1: let's go again. Trying to reach Gerald. Who's calling many Gerald? This?
- 46:01Speaker 1: This is Calvin Man. You um you live a couple
- 46:04Speaker 1: of blocks over for me. Man, I've been, I've been.
- 46:06Speaker 1: I just want to reach out to you. One of
- 46:07Speaker 1: the neighbors gaming your number, man, and uh, I just
- 46:10Speaker 1: want to tell you I don't want to know. I'm sorry.
- 46:13Speaker 1: I don't want the subscriptions and nothing. Brother, I might
- 46:15Speaker 1: as would cut you off right now. Oh whatnot subscriptions?
- 46:18Speaker 1: You're calling my subscriptions something? No, no, no, no, I'm
- 46:22Speaker 1: a neighbor, my man, I'm I'm I'm just a couple
- 46:24Speaker 1: of blocks over from you. No. I got your number
- 46:26Speaker 1: from one of the neighbors I was. I was calling
- 46:28Speaker 1: to let you know I've been smelling you. I've been
- 46:30Speaker 1: smelling your barbecue, man, That's what I was calling about.
- 46:33Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, man, you you've been grilling every day.
- 46:36Speaker 1: Seemed like over there. I've been smelling the smoke in
- 46:38Speaker 1: the Are you you you over there putting it down? Huh?
- 46:41Speaker 1: I mean, I think thank you for the compliment. But um, yeah,
- 46:45Speaker 1: I mean now you said, I mean I had nothing
- 46:47Speaker 1: else to do but cook, you know in these times,
- 46:49Speaker 1: I mean I might as well. I'm good at you
- 46:52Speaker 1: know who who gave you my number? Though? Uh it's
- 46:56Speaker 1: a gown on your street. Uh. Last name Edwards. I
- 47:00Speaker 1: can't remember to do first now I call him Edwards.
- 47:02Speaker 1: I think he lives on your street. I'm not sure.
- 47:05Speaker 1: So you when you cooking smoke? Man, I could I
- 47:08Speaker 1: burned a little bit at you know. That's and that's
- 47:09Speaker 1: why I call it like like you know, from one
- 47:11Speaker 1: barbecue brother to another. I was just reaching out, I said, man,
- 47:13Speaker 1: it's burning over there, so you're putting it in? Man?
- 47:16Speaker 1: What what are you been cooking since? Since since we've
- 47:19Speaker 1: been locked down? I mean, you know, I kind of been,
- 47:21Speaker 1: you know, experimenting a little. I've been doing some uh
- 47:24Speaker 1: you know, doing some two different woods, uh, cherry, you know,
- 47:28Speaker 1: I kind of nix it in a little bit of hickory,
- 47:30Speaker 1: you know, kind of pills are when I'm cooking, whether
- 47:32Speaker 1: it's some fish just you know, chicken, I mix it
- 47:34Speaker 1: up every now and then, and sometimes I have legally
- 47:36Speaker 1: been experimented with this mesquite yeah, I mean the sleeve
- 47:39Speaker 1: that just fall off the boat every day about after
- 47:43Speaker 1: four or three. Yeah, that's that's what I've been smelling.
- 47:45Speaker 1: The smoke because you'll smoke. You're smoke coming to my yard.
- 47:49Speaker 1: You know, I'm I'm two blocks old when you're smoke
- 47:52Speaker 1: carrying a good distance man. But yeah, but that's all right,
- 47:55Speaker 1: doos all right. But I've been soaking my chips and
- 47:58Speaker 1: all that stuff. I mean, you know, I've been just
- 48:00Speaker 1: trying some new technique. You know, crazy, Yeah, let me crazy. No,
- 48:07Speaker 1: it ain't got me going crazy, to be completely honest
- 48:10Speaker 1: with you, it's kind of got me up you and
- 48:12Speaker 1: your meet up, so damn bad dog that I'm sitting
- 48:15Speaker 1: this smelling this shoe and I'm trying to figure out
- 48:18Speaker 1: what are you doing? You know you you soaking this?
- 48:20Speaker 1: You using cherry. Hey, man, if you ain't putting no
- 48:23Speaker 1: no pecan or no oaking there, it's no You're you're
- 48:27Speaker 1: a dude on the grill that don't know what you're doing.
- 48:30Speaker 1: And that's my why ain't got cuts at me, because
- 48:33Speaker 1: do you you you from a real barbecue man. You
- 48:36Speaker 1: don't know what the you're doing. And that's that's the
- 48:38Speaker 1: whole I am. I've been in competitions talking about a
- 48:42Speaker 1: real barbecue, ain't it. I mean I didn't. Ain't no
- 48:44Speaker 1: way You've been in no damn competition for no barbecue dog,
- 48:49Speaker 1: not with the I'm smelling. Man. Look, I talked to
- 48:52Speaker 1: you because I'm bored, and you just gonna start cutting

- 49:02Speaker 1: and noe and know what's right or what's wrong, smell good?
- 49:04Speaker 1: And did you just come out of nowhere custing? I mean,

- 49:36Speaker 1: You don't know what you're doing. Don't put nothing else
- 49:38Speaker 1: on that pit for at least another money. I don't
- 49:41Speaker 1: know what to tell you. If I put some rotten
- 49:44Speaker 1: tomatoes on there and I want to smoke, you're gonna
- 49:46Speaker 1: smell it. How about that now? Okay? Man, No, no, no, no, no,
- 49:51Speaker 1: I'm bored out of my mind. You calling me talking
- 49:55Speaker 1: because because you got the smoke in the ad to
- 49:57Speaker 1: smell like you don't know what you're doing it. I
- 50:00Speaker 1: do know what I'm doing. Have you tasted it? I
- 50:04Speaker 1: don't want to taste it. I don't want my sut

- 50:31Speaker 1: job right now, you're telling me what to do. I
- 50:32Speaker 1: ain't got the house and you're just gonna tell me
- 50:35Speaker 1: what to do if your food is tight while you
- 50:39Speaker 1: wasting it on the bottom. Brother, just quick, no, no,
- 50:43Speaker 1: I'm trying to figure out how to stop your ass

- 53:51Speaker 1: We got it for you. Here it is, baby letter,
- 53:54Speaker 1: Thank you nephew. Subject she will not take my man
- 53:57Speaker 1: from me. Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm a twenty nine year
- 54:01Speaker 1: old workaholic and I don't have time to date. So
- 54:03Speaker 1: I met my boyfriend on tender We met two years
- 54:07Speaker 1: ago and we're good friends until New Year's Eve, when
- 54:10Speaker 1: he asked me to be his girlfriend. We hung out
- 54:13Speaker 1: early in the evening, but he brought in the New
- 54:16Speaker 1: Year with his friends that were in town for the holidays.
- 54:20Speaker 1: I felt neglected because he didn't ask me to hang
- 54:23Speaker 1: out with him and his friends, but I was happy
- 54:25Speaker 1: that we were finally in a monogamous relationship. Around mid January,
- 54:30Speaker 1: I felt like he was being shady and still messaging
- 54:33Speaker 1: other girls because he had not deleted his tender account.
- 54:38Speaker 1: I started checking his phone when he left it around me,
- 54:41Speaker 1: and I found out he was texting girls daily, and
- 54:44Speaker 1: one girl stood out because she was the ex girlfriend
- 54:48Speaker 1: that he told me had broken his heart. By the
- 54:51Speaker 1: end of January, I saw messages about how much fun
- 54:54Speaker 1: they had on New Year's Eve, and she told him
- 54:57Speaker 1: she couldn't wait to be back in town with him.
- 55:01Speaker 1: He did tell her he was in a relationship and
- 55:03Speaker 1: he was crazy about me, but he kept texting her.
- 55:07Speaker 1: She told him she was looking forward to moving back
- 55:09Speaker 1: to town, and he told her that she was more
- 55:12Speaker 1: than welcome to stay with him until she found an apartment.
- 55:16Speaker 1: This broke my heart. He has being the best boyfriend
- 55:19Speaker 1: to me, so how can he be planning to move
- 55:22Speaker 1: his ex girlfriend in with him. He never flirts with
- 55:26Speaker 1: her in the messages, but he's always concerned with how
- 55:30Speaker 1: she's doing and if she's getting enough rest and eating properly.
- 55:34Speaker 1: This is the stuff that he should only be asking me.
- 55:37Speaker 1: I can't say anything to him because I've been snooping.
- 55:40Speaker 1: Should I wait around to see if he dumps me?
- 55:42Speaker 1: Or should I call the girl and tell her to
- 55:44Speaker 1: back off? Please advise? Well, I don't think you should
- 55:48Speaker 1: call a girl. I think this is an issue strictly
- 55:51Speaker 1: between you and You're a guy. I guess you can
- 55:55Speaker 1: call him that. This is a guy who likes to
- 55:58Speaker 1: have his cake and eat it too. That's how I
- 56:00Speaker 1: see him. That should be a problem for you. I
- 56:03Speaker 1: hope it is because he has not made you a
- 56:05Speaker 1: priority in his life, starting with how he played you
- 56:08Speaker 1: for New Year's Eve. He lied and told you you
- 56:12Speaker 1: know that he was gonna be with his boys, with
- 56:14Speaker 1: his friends, he said, with his friends. He left you
- 56:16Speaker 1: alone on New Year's Eve. And he's been with you
- 56:19Speaker 1: for two years, but he's still on tender. I mean,
- 56:22Speaker 1: what's he still on tender for? If he if he
- 56:26Speaker 1: asked you to be his girlfriend and all that, you
- 56:28Speaker 1: felt he was being shady, So you did some snooping
- 56:31Speaker 1: and you got to the truth. He is in a
- 56:34Speaker 1: relationship with you, but he's inviting his ex to live
- 56:39Speaker 1: with him until she finds something. This is his AXT.
- 56:42Speaker 1: You know what that can only lead to? Okay, I
- 56:45Speaker 1: just don't understand how that's making any sense to anyone,
- 56:49Speaker 1: and especially you. I just think he's a piece of work.
- 56:54Speaker 1: I think he's not respecting what you guys supposedly have together.
- 56:58Speaker 1: I don't think he's respecting that at all. And I
- 57:01Speaker 1: don't think you should continue to let him break your heart.
- 57:04Speaker 1: He needs to be off tender. He needs to be
- 57:06Speaker 1: away from his ex. He needs not to invite her
- 57:09Speaker 1: to live with him. He needs to show you more respect. No,
- 57:12Speaker 1: you can't wait around and and wait for him to
- 57:16Speaker 1: dump you. Uh you know he need you need to
- 57:19Speaker 1: do the dumping. If it's any dumping gonna be going on,
- 57:22Speaker 1: and I think it probably will because he doesn't know
- 57:25Speaker 1: how to treat you. He doesn't deserve you, Steve, this
- 57:31Speaker 1: is stupid. Yes, but you're twenty nine, so I'm gonna
- 57:36Speaker 1: try to help you out. You're twenty nine year old workaholic.
- 57:40Speaker 1: You ain't got time to date. This is just too much.
- 57:44Speaker 1: There's too many lines in here. Make no damn, says me.
- 57:47Speaker 1: I don't have time to date. So I met my
- 57:49Speaker 1: boyfriend on tender. Is that that's the swipe wright swipe
- 57:53Speaker 1: level exactly. We met two years ago and we're good
- 57:58Speaker 1: friends until New Year's Eve when he asked me to
- 58:03Speaker 1: be his girlfriend. On New Year's Eve, he asked you
- 58:06Speaker 1: that we hung out early in the evening. Now, what
- 58:10Speaker 1: did y'all do that early in the eedy? Because after
- 58:15Speaker 1: I asked you to be my girlfriend, I got to
- 58:17Speaker 1: ask you to be my girlfriend for a weezer something
- 58:20Speaker 1: happened because that old y'all was just good friend. Y'all
- 58:24Speaker 1: have him sex somewhere, But then he bought in a
- 58:28Speaker 1: New Year with his friends that were in town for
- 58:31Speaker 1: the holidays, or all his friends in time. Then I
- 58:36Speaker 1: felt neglected because he didn't ask me to hang out
- 58:38Speaker 1: with him and his friends. But I was happy that
- 58:41Speaker 1: we were finally in a monogamous relationship. Let me ask
- 58:45Speaker 1: you something, what in this letter or what happened over
- 58:49Speaker 1: the two years or that night New Year's evil made
- 58:53Speaker 1: you think you were in a monogamous relationship. But I
- 58:58Speaker 1: was happy that we were finally in him and his relationship.
- 59:01Speaker 1: Round mid January, I felt like he was being shady.
- 59:04Speaker 1: Not mid January, like fifteen days after New Year, So
- 59:09Speaker 1: just two weeks after that, you thought he was being shady,
- 59:13Speaker 1: but you didn't. But just the same behavior he'd been
- 59:16Speaker 1: having for two years. It's just you wasn't his girlfriend,
- 59:19Speaker 1: so you ain't paying no attention to it. You thought
- 59:23Speaker 1: he was messaging other girls, and he ain't deleted his
- 59:25Speaker 1: tender account. I started checking his phone when he left
- 59:28Speaker 1: it round and finally he was texting girls all day
- 59:31Speaker 1: and one of them stood out because he was his
- 59:32Speaker 1: ex girlfriend. Told broke his heart then that. Then January,
- 59:36Speaker 1: you saw a message about how much fun they had
- 59:38Speaker 1: New Year's Eve. That's why you wasn't damned. He told
- 59:42Speaker 1: you his friends is in time, and she told him
- 59:47Speaker 1: she couldn't wait to get back in time with him.
- 59:50Speaker 1: He did tell her though, he was in a new
- 59:52Speaker 1: relationship and he was crazy about me. Wow, you just
- 59:57Speaker 1: be trying to find something. You're just looking for something
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: to hang one, he told me then the new relationship,
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: he was crazy about me, but he kept on texting.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: All right, we'll have part two of your response coming
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: up at twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: Letters subject she will not take my man from me.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this you're listening
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: show all right, Steve, Come on, Let's recap today's Strawberry letters.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: She will not take My Man from me is the subject.
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: Twenty nine year old girl met a boyfriend on Tender.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: They've been good friends for two years to New Year's
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: Eve when he asked her to be his girlfriend. They
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: hung out early in the evening, probably had sex and something,
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: but he bought he Knew Year with his friends who
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: were in town for the holidays. I felt neglected because
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: he ain't asked me to hang out with his friend.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: But we find out later in the letter that he
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: his ex was in town with his friends. And but
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: she was happy though, because they was finally in a
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: monogamous relationship, even though I think over the two years
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: or New Year's Eve said they were in a monogamous relationship.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: Then in mid January dressed two weeks later, she felt
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: like she was he was being shady and he was
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: messaging all these other girls, and he didn't delete his
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: Tender account. You started checking his phone when he left
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: in a rhyme and found out he was texting girls
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: every day and one of them was his ex that
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: he said broke his heart. Then by the end of January,
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: she taught his message about how much fun they had
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: on New Year's Even. She told him she couldn't wait
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: to get back in time with it. He did tell
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: her though, now y'all, he was in a new relationship
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: and he was crazy about me, but he kept texting.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: Then she told him that she was looking forward to
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: moving back to town, and he told her that she
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: was more than welcome to stay with him until she
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: found an apartment. This broke my heart. But let me
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: tell you why I broke her heart. He is being
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: the best boyfriend to me. So how can he be
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: planning to move his ex girlfriend in? Because you don't
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: know the definition of best boyfriend right, See, if he
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: was being the best boyfriend to you, why is his
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: tender accounts still over? Why does he text all these
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: girls every day? Why would he dit you New Year's Eve?
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: After he just became his girlfriend, and he just became
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: your boyfriend that very night he did you for all
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: his friends and her, And then this best boyfriend of
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: yours just told his ex that they can come stay
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: in his apartment until she find a place. So all
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: your knights going over that that's out? So how can
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: he be planning to move his ex girlfriend in with him.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: Then this was she said, this is po girl. He
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: never flirts with her in the messages. That's because they're talking.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: I read the damn text that ain't got anything. It's
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: called delete make a sexual connotation. You deleted? But he
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: and then here or the other part did just get worse.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: He's always concerned about how she's doing and if she's
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: getting enough rest and eating. Probably what? Of course, who
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: who in this show has ever called an X to
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: make sure they're getting enough rest and make sure that
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: they eat? You? Probably? I don't give a damn you
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: choking on chicken bone? Him? I calling you making sure
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: you're getting enough rest. All the sleeping of last night
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: you'll ass gave me. I hope you ass up at
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: night too. I'm sorry personal personal y. This is the
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: stuff that he should only be asking me, but he don't.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: He don't ask you what you to neat? I can't
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: say anything to him because I've been snoopupid. Here's the
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: dumbest line in the letter. Should I wait around and
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: see if he dumps me? Sister? How does that sound
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: to you? Should I wait around and see if he
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: dumps me when you already. First of all, you are dumped.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: He's not the best boyfriend. You can do better, and
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: you should. Next stupid line, should I call her and
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: tell her to bad call? How about call him tell
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: him to bad call. But he's not listen to me, sister.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: He's been doing this for two years. That's why y'all
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: was just good friends and to New Year's Eve. Then
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: on New Year's Eve, just so he could get you,
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: he said, let's be boyfriend and girlfriend in y'all hand sex.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: And he got up and went out that night with
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: his friends, and you felt neglected. That was just the beginning.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: That's how your twenty twenty started. You didn't had a
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: rough twenty twenty nine. Asses in quarantine. Yeah, the man

- 1:05:19Speaker 1: on him, just getting mouth full of corona. Steve. Now
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: they need to hear this. Sitting up in here bowling,
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: dumb ass gonna be with them, same stupid ass people
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: bowling this weekend in Atlanta, bowling and some dude cutting
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: your hair, coughing on the back of your neck. You
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: getting corona from the dude cutting your hair, and the
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: barber getting corona from the dude sitting there. I'm sorry,
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: just some phases going on right now. I got too

- 1:17:33Speaker 1: yourself at all. Let me, let me, let me make
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: this announcement. Family Feud Africa started airing three weeks ago
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: in South Africa and in Ghana. The first week in Ghana,
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: it was the number two show on all of television
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: ahead it is now the number one show in all
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: of television in Ghana. Family Feud South Africa air at
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: number one and has built on it. It is the
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: highest grossing and highest view TV show in the country. Congratulations,
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: you ain't seen an episode now. My staff over here
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: they have watch parties. They watch it together on zoom
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: and comment, you know, while they at their house. But
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: they don't they watch it on the computer because you
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: can only get it online. But the clips are starting
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: to be released. Lord have mercy. When I started telling
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: y'all about it, it's but because the accents that was
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: going to ask you, did you have a problem with
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: that that I have a problem with? Shouldn't I have
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: a problem with? Readily English? English? Boy? They was laughing
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: so hard at me, Steve, Why are you? Why are
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: you not understanding? Man? Me and this dude got an
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: argument so bad. It's really really some funny stuff. I'll
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: tell y'all how to find the clips tomorrow. Yeah, oh,
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: all right, coming up, it's our last break of the day.
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: It's a break. I was actually waiting on Jay to
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: do it, and we'll have some closing remarks from the
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey coming up at forty nine
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: minutes after Right after this, you're listening to show here
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: we are the last break of the day. Steve, it's
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: been a good day. Huh yeah, Yeah, it's been a
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: great day, and it's gonna be an even greater one.
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: That's right. That's how you have to look at it.
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: That's definitely a better month if you stand your ass
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: at home. Come on, weight on, god, man, you know,
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: I just I just don't understand. These are my closing
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: remarks too. I just don't understand this rush to urgency
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: to reopen this state in Georgia. I actually love Georgia, man,
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: I love Atlanta. It's such a centralized location. It's got
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: a great heartbeat to it. It's so soulful, man, it's
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: so soulful. But yet it's a down home place. It
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: got a lot of great places you can raise your
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: kids and grandkids, and got a lot of great parks
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: and lakes and fishing and a lot of stuff things
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: I like to do. You know, the trees are just
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: amazing here. Um, Atlanta has this problems just as does
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: every major city, just does this country. You know, we've
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: got drugs, we've got crime, we've got everything that every
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: other metropolis area has. But overall, man, it's it's a
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: great place to live. This Governor Kemp, who has decided
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: to be the first. This is a major state. Georgia
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: is a major state. This ain't Wyoming opening up, or
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: or Montana opening up, or Alaska opening back up. This
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: is a major, major state with a top ten major
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: city at it, you know, And so to rush to
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: open this, I'm just really curious as to the real
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: motivation behind this, and I just can't find the good
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: in it. I'm sorry, I can't. When I think of Atlanta,
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: I think of all these people of a different complexion.
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: That's a great non African American here too. But when
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: I think of all these African Americans, and when I
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: think of the places that he chose to open, barber shop's,
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: beauty shops, salons, tattoo parlor's, bowling alleys, and then we're
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: gonna slowly open restaurants and movie theaters this weekend. In
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: restaurants on Monday, I was really curious, man, are we
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: attempting an experiment here? And Atlanta is going to be
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: the epic center to see how it works? If there's
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: not enough cases, this governor said from his own mouth,
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: I know when I open this up that we're going
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: to get more cases of corona. Excuse me, you said
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: this with your own mouth that if we open this state,
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: we're going to get more cases of corona. Okay, cool,
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: got you, Pardner. So why are we opening it up? Well,
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: they're opening it up because they're gonna test to see
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: if they know how to get a veil on this
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: thing after the spike happens again, and they're gonna use Atlanta.
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: That can be the only reason. Now, the stimulus check
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: that everybody is excited about getting soon, stop being excited
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: about getting your own money back. Whatever check they don't give,
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: whatever check they're gonna give you, I promise you you
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: have paid it in taxes. All they're doing is letting
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: you have some of your money back temporarily. But then
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: you know what, they're gonna give it to you at
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: a time where you so far behind the eight ball
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: you're gonna have to damn they're spend it all immediately.
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: And when you spend it, guess what they're gonna do.
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: They're gonna tax you on it. So guess what's gonna
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: happen to the taxes. You're gonna give it right back.
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: But we're gonna be in a bad position. And now
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: the funds for that they hold in escrow or the
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: funds that set aside for unemployment has been taxing strained
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: so bad that they're predicting that they will be out
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: of those funds shortly because of the millions of people
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: who've had to apply for unemployment. But if you go
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: back to work and open up your shops and all
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: this here, guess where you don't get unemployment no more.
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: So they're gonna get that back, and they just gonna
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: see how it goes. But they're gonna see how I
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: go at the expense of us. Now, I don't think so.
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: I don't think man, that we're that gullible that we're
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: gonna run out this door against our better judgment, because
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: we all know better. We all know that if it
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: sounds too good to be true, it probably is. How
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: to hell, of all the places in this world, Georgia
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: opens up? Are you kidding me? Georgia is Atlanta partner.
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: Don't get this thing twisted. We ain't famous for nothing
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: else but Atlanta. And so now you're gonna take this
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: and use this as an experiment, just like I heard
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: my boy Ricky Smiley say, I remember the Tuskegee experiment.
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: I remember it old so well. I remember the experiments
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: that they've done over the years using us. Hell, don't
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: you remember the experimental slavery That was a four hundred
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: year experiment. Who did that work out for? Who benefited
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: from that? Now they're gonna send all of these poor
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: people back out in these streets who already it's gonna
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: be suffering. Now, let me explain something else to you
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: that I think it's gonna happen here. You think that
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: the Republican that's set up in this country is gonna
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: give you a stimulus check and not find a way
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: to get it back. You don't think that when this
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: passes over, you don't think that they got to now
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: get their stimulus checks back. So all these set aside
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: programs that they've they've been letting go by, they're gonna
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: get that money back from somewhere. They gonna get it back. Man,
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: they don't give us nothing. The government gives us nothing.
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: They're gonna get all this money back. They're gonna but
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: other programs out. You think your school lunch programmers in trouble,
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: Now watch what happened. You think these schools are depleted
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: and the teachers are underpaid right now and staffed. And
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: you think we don't have computers and enough facilities, watch
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: what's gonna happen. Don't fall for this, Okay, doke man,
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: y'all stay home, stay home, stay safe, protect yourself, protect
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: your family, protect your love ones. If he wants to
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: go out Monday and have a dinner, let him take
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: his ass out and go eat. We stayed at home.
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: Our food better than that. End for all. Steve Every contests,
