- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a suit on giving them like
- 0:15Speaker 1: the million bucks things and its not good together for
- 0:27Speaker 1: st Please, I don't join jo. You gotta turn you're
- 1:10Speaker 1: going to do you gotta turn to turn them out.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Turn You haven't got to turn them out the turnout,
- 1:46Speaker 1: turn the water the water go. Come come on your back,
- 2:01Speaker 1: Uh huh. I shall well, Good morning everybody, y'all listening
- 2:06Speaker 1: to the voice, come on dig me now. One and
- 2:09Speaker 1: only Steve Arvey got a radio show. Man, Old Man.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Old Man symbolizes just one thing to me. Man, It's
- 2:16Speaker 1: just a constant remind of exactly how good God has
- 2:19Speaker 1: been to me over the years. And I'm thank him
- 2:21Speaker 1: for it too, because I realize every day that I
- 2:24Speaker 1: wake up that I would be nothing without him. That
- 2:27Speaker 1: everything I am that's any good in me, I owe
- 2:31Speaker 1: to him. Now. Have I made some mistakes along the way, yep, bunches,
- 2:37Speaker 1: bunches and bunches. And will I continue to make mistakes
- 2:41Speaker 1: along the way yep? Not as many, hopefully as I
- 2:46Speaker 1: have in the past, because a lot of stuff I
- 2:49Speaker 1: know better now. But you're still going to make mistakes. Now.
- 2:54Speaker 1: You know, hopefully I've limited the amount of intentional errors
- 3:00Speaker 1: in my life. I've wiped quite a few of those out.
- 3:03Speaker 1: But from time to time, because we're human, we're going
- 3:07Speaker 1: to make a mistake every now and then. The trick
- 3:09Speaker 1: what it is, y'all, it's not to let the devil
- 3:12Speaker 1: deceive you into thinking that once you make that mistake
- 3:15Speaker 1: that that's it. You can't do it. You're falling off
- 3:18Speaker 1: the wagon. You can't reboard it. That's the biggest trick
- 3:22Speaker 1: that he uses. He makes you think that if you
- 3:26Speaker 1: keep stumbling, that you can't run the race. It kind
- 3:33Speaker 1: of reminds me of a marathon runner. From time to
- 3:36Speaker 1: time I watch him on TV, and you'll see some
- 3:39Speaker 1: people who finish the race, you know, in a in
- 3:44Speaker 1: a nice pace. You see people finish the race sprinting
- 3:49Speaker 1: towards the finished line. But every now and then you'll
- 3:53Speaker 1: watch a marathon and you'll see a runner and the
- 3:57Speaker 1: runner is in really, really bad shape. The key is
- 4:04Speaker 1: they finish the race. See, you don't get disqualified in
- 4:10Speaker 1: the marathon because you stumble, You don't. They don't. They
- 4:14Speaker 1: don't take your opportunity to finish the race because you
- 4:19Speaker 1: keep falling, that's not the key. The key is finishing.
- 4:24Speaker 1: And a lot of times what the devil does is
- 4:27Speaker 1: he makes you think that because you keep stumbling, because
- 4:31Speaker 1: you're swaying from side to side, that you know you
- 4:35Speaker 1: out the race. Well, that's not the case. And see
- 4:39Speaker 1: and then this thing called life, let me help you
- 4:41Speaker 1: understand something. Everybody falls. Nobody sprints to the tape in
- 4:45Speaker 1: this one. Nobody just runs free and clear as some
- 4:49Speaker 1: people running faster than you and all like this. And
- 4:52Speaker 1: some people gonna get to the end before you let
- 4:54Speaker 1: them go ahead. And when the end come, the end come.
- 4:57Speaker 1: I ain't in the rush to get to the end,
- 4:59Speaker 1: but in the race, though, when you're stumbling and you're falling,
- 5:03Speaker 1: it's a part of it. No one gets through this
- 5:06Speaker 1: race without stumbling and falling, swaying from side to side.
- 5:10Speaker 1: So don't let the enemy deceive you into thinking that
- 5:15Speaker 1: it's over. I try to be encouraging to people because
- 5:19Speaker 1: I don't want people to get stuck on this thing,
- 5:22Speaker 1: you know. And my walk is very different from a
- 5:25Speaker 1: lot of people's walks. And then I know a lot
- 5:27Speaker 1: of people who walking in faith the way I'm walking
- 5:30Speaker 1: in faith. But my thing in the morning is just
- 5:32Speaker 1: to remind those that is not a perfect walk man,
- 5:36Speaker 1: that it's not something that's set up where you're gonna
- 5:40Speaker 1: be skipping through life scot free without any pitfalls. You know,
- 5:45Speaker 1: I keep saying it over and over and over again because,
- 5:47Speaker 1: like I said, when I was in DC, my boy
- 5:51Speaker 1: Hondo said this to me, and it just kind of
- 5:53Speaker 1: stuck with me that the road to construct, the road
- 5:56Speaker 1: to successes always under construction. You have to figure and
- 6:01Speaker 1: count on the setbacks and the pitfalls. But it's those
- 6:05Speaker 1: people that that that that fight through will be the
- 6:09Speaker 1: victors in the end. You cannot give up, man, Stop
- 6:13Speaker 1: going somewhere sitting down. Every time something goes down. It's
- 6:18Speaker 1: going to go down. It's a part of it. It's
- 6:22Speaker 1: going to happen. It's going to occur that are going
- 6:25Speaker 1: to be setbacks. If you go and sit down every
- 6:28Speaker 1: time there's a setback, that's not how this works. It
- 6:33Speaker 1: is designed that way. If success were easy, everybody would
- 6:38Speaker 1: be successful. But success is just reserved for those who
- 6:43Speaker 1: are willing to fight through, who refuse to settle for mediocrity,
- 6:48Speaker 1: who wants something more. Now, don't get me wrong. Success
- 6:52Speaker 1: is defined by each individual. So what I may consider
- 6:57Speaker 1: to be successful, you may not consider that. You know
- 7:00Speaker 1: what Bill Gates considers successful. I might not consider what
- 7:05Speaker 1: Michael Jordan considers successful. I might not consider what you
- 7:09Speaker 1: consider successful. Your boss might not consider. You have to
- 7:12Speaker 1: define what that is for yourself. It may not be
- 7:16Speaker 1: monetary at all. You know, your level of success could
- 7:20Speaker 1: be tied up in community service. It could be tied
- 7:23Speaker 1: up in family. It could be tied up into church.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Your level of success could be tied up into boys clubs.
- 7:30Speaker 1: It could be any number of things. Whatever your level
- 7:33Speaker 1: of success is, you have to determine what that is
- 7:37Speaker 1: you and the best way to determine that is to
- 7:40Speaker 1: get in touch with your maker, who created you, to
- 7:44Speaker 1: find out what your mission and your purpose is so
- 7:48Speaker 1: he can put you on track. I just had this
- 7:51Speaker 1: conversation with my son and we were talking about getting
- 7:55Speaker 1: on the path that God has set up for you.
- 7:59Speaker 1: So many times times we find ourselves fighting through life
- 8:02Speaker 1: because of so much uncertainty, because we have no idea
- 8:07Speaker 1: where we're headed. It's like one of my own sayings
- 8:13Speaker 1: that I have at my mentoring camp for boys is
- 8:16Speaker 1: is that a boy without a male role model is
- 8:20Speaker 1: like an explorer without a map. See if you don't
- 8:26Speaker 1: have a map laid out in front of you of
- 8:29Speaker 1: where you're going when you wake up every day, that
- 8:34Speaker 1: pretty much explains the feeling of confusion. The laxidaisical attitude,
- 8:41Speaker 1: the lack of purpose, to not understanding your mission because
- 8:47Speaker 1: you don't have not gotten in touch with your creator
- 8:51Speaker 1: to find out exactly what your path in life is.
- 8:55Speaker 1: What are you supposed to be doing? The moment you
- 8:58Speaker 1: can identify that it is the moment that you get
- 9:02Speaker 1: started waking up with purpose, with the sense of direction.
- 9:06Speaker 1: When you kill the sense of I don't know what's
- 9:09Speaker 1: next or what to do. Now, there's going to be
- 9:11Speaker 1: some confusing moments no matter what happened, it's going to
- 9:14Speaker 1: be some uncertainty, but at least you'll know where you're going.
- 9:17Speaker 1: So if you're tied a waking up feeling loss, abandoned, confused,
- 9:22Speaker 1: don't know what to do, don't know what you're supposed
- 9:25Speaker 1: to be doing, refer back to your makeup. Because when
- 9:31Speaker 1: he created you, he had a plan for you. When
- 9:34Speaker 1: he created you, he had a path for you. Now
- 9:38Speaker 1: we've made some decisions to get off of both of those.
- 9:41Speaker 1: The mission and the path. But God can get you
- 9:44Speaker 1: right back on track. Do that today, asking what you're
- 9:49Speaker 1: supposed to be doing, and listen. God has all the
- 9:54Speaker 1: answers if you form the relationship. Okay, you're listening, Ladies
- 10:02Speaker 1: and gentlemen, it is here to Steve Harvey Morny show
- 10:04Speaker 1: us about that time. Now, we're running a little shot
- 10:07Speaker 1: this morning. Ain't that ironic? I said, we're running a
- 10:12Speaker 1: little shot. And guess who missing the shot is? One
- 10:16Speaker 1: on this show. Were running a little shot this morning.
- 10:20Speaker 1: So ain't not known here but tall people. Yeah, Tommy
- 10:25Speaker 1: Carlile out and of course Jay is out. This is
- 10:28Speaker 1: one of his off days, one of his many, one
- 10:32Speaker 1: of his many. Will you hire him? So you are
- 10:37Speaker 1: the deal, Ladies and gentlemen. Shirley Strawberry, Good morning, Steve,
- 10:42Speaker 1: Happy Thursday. Yes it is ladies and gentlemen. Junior kill
- 10:46Speaker 1: Spakes morning off morning, Sherley, how y'all feeling fair? Yeah,
- 10:50Speaker 1: it's just us man, Sirley, Just how it used to be.
- 10:54Speaker 1: I know, in New York, in New York, in LA
- 10:57Speaker 1: We're in good New York, just Steve, just you and me, Steve,
- 11:01Speaker 1: the two of us. It was just just the two
- 11:04Speaker 1: of us. It was just us two man Dog Dog.
- 11:09Speaker 1: When we first started, it was just me and Shirley
- 11:12Speaker 1: and boy, let me tell you something. That was a
- 11:14Speaker 1: damn radio show. We have fun. That was a damn
- 11:18Speaker 1: radio show. But a lot of people came and went though.
- 11:22Speaker 1: I mean, you know, we had a lot of people
- 11:24Speaker 1: that came and went that were part of the show.
- 11:26Speaker 1: But uh, yeah, for the most part, it was Steve
- 11:29Speaker 1: and I for a long time. Yeah, and then at
- 11:32Speaker 1: the height of it, it was Harvey's Angels, Shirley Strawberry
- 11:38Speaker 1: not a Cade La Cruise, and Dominique. Uh. We went
- 11:46Speaker 1: on some show. We went on. I know we was
- 11:48Speaker 1: on the Monte Montell Show. Yeah, I went on Oprah
- 11:56Speaker 1: with some other comedians. I saw Harvey's Angel. I don't
- 12:00Speaker 1: want to tell you how old I was when I
- 12:01Speaker 1: saw that. Three ten eleven. We raised a lot of
- 12:12Speaker 1: people in La We did Junior. That was twenty twenty
- 12:18Speaker 1: one years ago. Man, crazy, that was twenty one years ago.
- 12:24Speaker 1: The Steve Harvey Morning Show was born. And let me
- 12:27Speaker 1: tell you something about Yeah, it went through some changes, man,
- 12:32Speaker 1: but it was a show. It was a show. Yeah.
- 12:37Speaker 1: We were number one for quite a while. The whole
- 12:40Speaker 1: time we were there all that. Yeah, yeah, we were
- 12:43Speaker 1: fount We were the largest single market radio show on
- 12:52Speaker 1: the planet for black radio. Nobody. And you know, Donnie
- 12:57Speaker 1: Simpson was huge back then. Donnie Simpson at dct wpch
- 13:02Speaker 1: that bad boy was a bad boy. That don't go
- 13:05Speaker 1: Donnie Simpson was no joke. Yeah it was fun man. Well, well,
- 13:12Speaker 1: before before we go to break, we gotta say, Steve
- 13:15Speaker 1: and Junior, today is National Nurses Day. Okay, so let's
- 13:19Speaker 1: shut out the nurses. All of the nurses on the
- 13:21Speaker 1: frontline working at them saved our lives through the correct
- 13:25Speaker 1: Thank you all. Oh yeah, your mom's a nurse. Junior,
- 13:29Speaker 1: that's right, Miss Alicia, your baby boy. But yeah, all right,
- 13:36Speaker 1: So coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour,
- 13:39Speaker 1: we'll do ask the CLO with the Chief Love Officer,
- 13:41Speaker 1: Steve Harvey. Right after this, you're listening to the Steve
- 13:46Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show all right time we're ask the CLO.
- 13:51Speaker 1: This one's from Militia in Kansas. Milicia writes, I'm in
- 13:54Speaker 1: my early thirties and my husband wants a divorce because
- 13:58Speaker 1: I went to my personal trainers house. I stopped by
- 14:01Speaker 1: my trainer's housewarming party to congratulate him and give him
- 14:05Speaker 1: a bottle of wine. It was quick and innocent. My
- 14:08Speaker 1: husband's co worker told him I was there. My husband said,
- 14:11Speaker 1: he's sick of me being naive and embarrassing him, and
- 14:15Speaker 1: he wants a divorce. He's got a habit of throwing
- 14:17Speaker 1: a divorce at me when he's mad. I'm sick of
- 14:21Speaker 1: him doing this. Is he looking for any reason to
- 14:23Speaker 1: end the marriage? Yeah? I mean what you said it,
- 14:31Speaker 1: you know, and he used divorce a lot. Yeah, so
- 14:35Speaker 1: I don't think you should play with that. That's nothing
- 14:37Speaker 1: to play with if you don't know. But just dude,
- 14:40Speaker 1: you know, it would have been a great idea though,
- 14:45Speaker 1: had you told him instead of him hearing about it
- 14:48Speaker 1: from a co worker, because now the co worker, Hey, man, yeah,
- 14:52Speaker 1: your wife was over there. My wife, Yeah, it was
- 14:55Speaker 1: over the personal trainer's house. You know that. You gotta admit, sister,
- 15:00Speaker 1: that ain't a good look. I don't think that's grounds
- 15:02Speaker 1: for divorce, but it definitely is not a good look. Now,
- 15:08Speaker 1: if he keeps throwing divorce up in your face, maybe
- 15:12Speaker 1: has he had some mold not so good looks. You
- 15:17Speaker 1: gotta kind of ask yourself because he ain't throwing up
- 15:20Speaker 1: divorce for no reason. But he said in this I'm
- 15:24Speaker 1: tired of you embarrassing me, and so maybe you've done it. Yeah, yeah,
- 15:32Speaker 1: you've done it repeatedly. I don't know. Is he trying
- 15:35Speaker 1: to get out something? Yeah, I know it's I know
- 15:38Speaker 1: that's what she's said. But if one of my dudes say, hey, man,
- 15:43Speaker 1: oh that's wild, man, I saw your wife yesterday over
- 15:47Speaker 1: the personal trainer's house. What yeah, yeah, yeah, she bought
- 15:55Speaker 1: some wine over every time I'm about wine over girls.
- 16:00Speaker 1: It was for her to drink and feel a certain
- 16:02Speaker 1: kind of way and the house swarming party. All right,
- 16:06Speaker 1: we're moving on. Erica and Carrolton. Georgia says. My husband
- 16:10Speaker 1: and I have two children and one on the way.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I'm twenty nine, he's thirty four. He wants one more
- 16:16Speaker 1: kid after this one, but I'm ready to shut the
- 16:19Speaker 1: baby factory down. I look forward to losing weight and
- 16:22Speaker 1: getting back in shape. I also plan to take birth
- 16:25Speaker 1: control medicine so I won't ever get pregnant again. He
- 16:29Speaker 1: is dead set against it. My mom said to listen
- 16:32Speaker 1: to my husband, but I don't agree with her. It's
- 16:35Speaker 1: my body, so does his opinion matter obviously not twenty
- 16:42Speaker 1: nine year old. Wait a minute, now, you got two kids,
- 16:46Speaker 1: one on the way, and you want to shut it down?
- 16:50Speaker 1: He say, absolutely not. His wife say listen to you,
- 16:53Speaker 1: while your mama say listen to your husband. Does your
- 16:56Speaker 1: opinion matters the most? Yeah, I mean where she's coming from,
- 17:01Speaker 1: y'all the only one making babies, y'all, the only one.
- 17:06Speaker 1: He ain't got a carry no baby. Now you got
- 17:10Speaker 1: three children, two and one on the way. Now, either,
- 17:17Speaker 1: I don't know if he is he looking for a boy.
- 17:20Speaker 1: I don't know what it is. I don't know three something.
- 17:24Speaker 1: It's a tiebreaker somewhere, unless y'all got all in the same. Yeah, wow,
- 17:30Speaker 1: he wants four and she's done with three. She's saying
- 17:33Speaker 1: three is enough. I mean, if you got three girls
- 17:37Speaker 1: and his dream is to have a boy one more time,
- 17:43Speaker 1: or if he's she's got three boys and he wants
- 17:45Speaker 1: a girl the same, well, you know he can quit wander.
- 17:48Speaker 1: I'm your girl. That's what you need to say, you know,
- 17:53Speaker 1: hold me and your mama. But I mean she's got
- 17:56Speaker 1: issues now. She she's planning to take birth control so
- 18:00Speaker 1: she'll never get pregnant again. So she's done pretty much.
- 18:04Speaker 1: This is gonna this is a problem right here. He
- 18:06Speaker 1: has to listen to his wife because she is the manufacturer.
- 18:11Speaker 1: She's the factory, she's the housing unit. She is the
- 18:17Speaker 1: only one that can produce this human life. And it
- 18:21Speaker 1: takes a toll on a woman's body. It takes a
- 18:24Speaker 1: toll on a woman. It's hard to do. You're just
- 18:27Speaker 1: sitting there. I want another baby, like you're just down
- 18:29Speaker 1: there ordering donuts. Man, I want to I want to
- 18:34Speaker 1: say something so bad to him. I want to cuss,
- 18:38Speaker 1: really I do, man, Come on, dog like y'all just
- 18:41Speaker 1: down there, make it doughnuts? Yeah, the light on, Chris mcreean,
- 18:46Speaker 1: the light on. They're both stubborn in this regard. You
- 18:49Speaker 1: gotta agree on something, though, all right, Royce and Charlotte says,
- 18:54Speaker 1: I'm engaged to a caring and loving man that is
- 18:57Speaker 1: friends with everyone, even his ex girlfriend. And he suggested
- 19:02Speaker 1: that we invite her to our wedding. She's married now
- 19:05Speaker 1: and he plays basketball with her husband at the gym.
- 19:08Speaker 1: I don't mind him hanging out with her husband, but
- 19:10Speaker 1: I told him it's inappropriate to invite the woman he
- 19:13Speaker 1: dated for ten years to our wedding. He says, I'm
- 19:17Speaker 1: being unreasonable and it's really no big deal. What do
- 19:19Speaker 1: you think, cel, Well, I mean if he played basketball
- 19:26Speaker 1: at the gym with her husband. Yeah, I mean if
- 19:32Speaker 1: they both come. Yeah, so you're inviting her husband and
- 19:36Speaker 1: not her. I mean, you know, but now here's a
- 19:40Speaker 1: deal on her wedding day in her gown. Yeah. When
- 19:46Speaker 1: they coming down the receiving line, here comes this healther,
- 19:49Speaker 1: that's been sleeping with my groom for ten years and
- 19:52Speaker 1: it's her day. Now, it's her wedding day, and just
- 19:58Speaker 1: don't send him an invitation to the wedding. Don't just
- 20:02Speaker 1: don't send her invitation to the wedd Yeah, well, I
- 20:06Speaker 1: guess they're not friends. They just go to the gym together.
- 20:09Speaker 1: A husband. Oh give it, damn, you're gonna pitch your
- 20:12Speaker 1: wife off over there. Don't end your marriage for a story. Boy, boy,
- 20:20Speaker 1: you dumb. Now. I don't know why it's so important
- 20:24Speaker 1: for you that she'd have because that's what your girls think.
- 20:27Speaker 1: That's what she you know, that's what she's thinking. Yeah,
- 20:30Speaker 1: she don't care. She is mad, but she yeah she
- 20:33Speaker 1: got him. Now was you at her wedding? Oh? Oh,
- 20:41Speaker 1: she doesn't want her there, So I guess that's all
- 20:43Speaker 1: that matters, all right, Cello, thank you great advice as usual,
- 20:50Speaker 1: Thank you so much. Coming up, we're gonna run that
- 20:53Speaker 1: prank back. Junior's in for the nephew. Right after this,
- 20:57Speaker 1: you're listening Harpy Morning Show. Coming up. At the top
- 21:01Speaker 1: of the hour, Miss Anne will be here with national
- 21:03Speaker 1: news and entertainment news. Snoop Dogg is asking for our
- 21:07Speaker 1: prayers for him and his family, and Steve Joe Exotics
- 21:12Speaker 1: ex husband has some breaking news for us about his
- 21:15Speaker 1: marriage to Joe Exotic and that other guy will tell
- 21:19Speaker 1: you all about it at the top of the hour.
- 21:22Speaker 1: But right now, Junior is in for the nephew, and
- 21:25Speaker 1: it's time to run that prank back. What you got
- 21:27Speaker 1: for us, Junior? Well, Charlotte, Today's run that prank back
- 21:31Speaker 1: is high school reunion. I almost forgot it. High school
- 21:37Speaker 1: reunion running cat. Hello. Hello, I'm trying to reach Sylvia. Please,
- 21:42Speaker 1: she's unavailable. This is her husband. I'm driven to help you.
- 21:45Speaker 1: How are you doing? Man? My name is Ken, I'm
- 21:47Speaker 1: I graduated with Sylvia. We're having a big twenty five
- 21:50Speaker 1: year class reunion this year. Okay for nineteen eighty five.
- 21:54Speaker 1: We should be homesome. I don't know, man, she had
- 21:57Speaker 1: shopping right now? Okay, okay, cool, um and listen, that's
- 22:01Speaker 1: you heard about. Does she know about the reunion or
- 22:03Speaker 1: or do you know anything about that? Uh? Not? To
- 22:06Speaker 1: my knowledge. That's the first I've heard about a reunion. Okay,
- 22:09Speaker 1: well there was a reunion. Man, she's actually I think
- 22:12Speaker 1: signed up for it. I'm not sure that's why I
- 22:13Speaker 1: asked you, but I think I saw her name was
- 22:16Speaker 1: that she was signed up to. Come. Let me ask
- 22:19Speaker 1: you when? When? When exactly did you graduate? I graduated
- 22:22Speaker 1: in eighty two, okay, and eighty two, okay, you a
- 22:25Speaker 1: little bit before us? Then all right, we'll listen. Um,
- 22:28Speaker 1: let let me let me go ahead and say this
- 22:30Speaker 1: out and drink. Uh. Actually, in high school, man, Sylvia
- 22:34Speaker 1: was mine, you know, my high school sweetheart, and we
- 22:38Speaker 1: you know, we dated from ninth grade to freshman year
- 22:41Speaker 1: in college. And I wanted to see if, you know,
- 22:43Speaker 1: if if it was cool with you, you know, if
- 22:46Speaker 1: you didn't mind me escorting her to the twenty five
- 22:48Speaker 1: year class reunion. Doing well, let me say that again,
- 22:53Speaker 1: Like I say, man, my name is Ken. I got
- 22:57Speaker 1: that part. I'm trying to make sure I heard right
- 22:58Speaker 1: what you said. Yeah, I said that I Sylvia and
- 23:01Speaker 1: I were high school sweethearts. Man, I was you know,
- 23:04Speaker 1: from ninth grade all the way to freshman year in college.
- 23:06Speaker 1: We dated each other. Okay, yeah, yeah, I got I
- 23:09Speaker 1: got that. But what did you ask me? I asked
- 23:11Speaker 1: you if if it was all right for you, if
- 23:13Speaker 1: you didn't mind if I escorted her to the twenty
- 23:16Speaker 1: five year class for you union. Are you related to her? No?
- 23:20Speaker 1: I mean no, I'm not related to I just told
- 23:22Speaker 1: y'a was a high school sweetheart. No, man, I'm saying,
- 23:25Speaker 1: nobody gonna be askechool my wife nowhere I put the
- 23:27Speaker 1: ring on my finger. You said you was you was
- 23:29Speaker 1: a high school sweetheart. Yeah, I mean we was together
- 23:31Speaker 1: from you know, ninth grade, all the way to month
- 23:33Speaker 1: to freshman year in college. You know, so that was
- 23:36Speaker 1: in the past. But hood, I'm sorry to let you
- 23:38Speaker 1: know that, but that was in the past. I'm the president,
- 23:41Speaker 1: so I don't eve much think she's gonna be interested
- 23:42Speaker 1: in trying to go know where was you anyway? Hey man,
- 23:45Speaker 1: what I'm trying to explain to you there's something innocent though. Man,
- 23:47Speaker 1: this is just me taking her to you know. You know,
- 23:49Speaker 1: I thought she might get a kick out of us
- 23:51Speaker 1: going together. You know, I don't know what's wrong with you.
- 23:54Speaker 1: I had have told you if it's not going to
- 23:55Speaker 1: one ear, put the phone on the other one. She
- 23:57Speaker 1: ain't going nowhere? What you do? I need to break
- 23:59Speaker 1: it down anymore? Hey man, you ain't gotta You ain't
- 24:01Speaker 1: gonna talk to me and disrespect me like this? Man, Now,
- 24:04Speaker 1: all I try to do is on you. I'm disrespecting you.
- 24:07Speaker 1: You're gonna call my I wanna tell me I'm disrespecting you.
- 24:11Speaker 1: You asking me, can you take my wife to the
- 24:13Speaker 1: damn class reunion? And expect me to be okay with that?
- 24:16Speaker 1: What kind of damned food that to call somebody ask
- 24:19Speaker 1: can you take the wife to a class reunion? Hey man?
- 24:21Speaker 1: That was my high school sweetheart? All right, we had
- 24:24Speaker 1: we asked something. I was off first, Okay, I was
- 24:27Speaker 1: off first, dog if you was the first thing, I'm
- 24:29Speaker 1: the last and I'm the only one. So we're gonna
- 24:31Speaker 1: leave it at that. How about that partner? It's whatever, man?
- 24:35Speaker 1: You know what, Man, I try to call you and
- 24:37Speaker 1: talk to you like a man. But you know what
- 24:38Speaker 1: I should have did? I should have a man talk
- 24:40Speaker 1: to me like that. You're doing a little stuff. Man,
- 24:42Speaker 1: I should have called Sylvia in the first I should
- 24:44Speaker 1: have never called. A matter of fact, you know what,
- 24:46Speaker 1: I apologize for calling. Let me get all the phone
- 24:49Speaker 1: and just called Sylvia. Set head and do that. You
- 24:53Speaker 1: go right on the head and call them. Well, that's
- 24:56Speaker 1: what I'm gonna do. Because Sylvia can make a decision
- 24:58Speaker 1: on what Sylvia want to do. I can tell or
- 25:00Speaker 1: what thing Sylvia do, what Sylvia want to do. But Sylvia,
- 25:02Speaker 1: it ain't interested in you. Man. This is not about
- 25:05Speaker 1: being interested in me. Man. This is innocent. This is
- 25:08Speaker 1: just me and her going to the damn class reunion together. Man.
- 25:11Speaker 1: And it ain't like we're gonna go do something together. Man,
- 25:15Speaker 1: on a physical level. We're just going to have phone
- 25:19Speaker 1: my clue. I'm trying to tell you that I've already
- 25:22Speaker 1: told you know, Okay, if you can't get no, I
- 25:25Speaker 1: don't know what you can't get. But you ain't getting Sylvia.
- 25:28Speaker 1: I tell you that much. She's not going to no reunion.
- 25:30Speaker 1: You know what, Man, I'm through talking to you. I'm
- 25:33Speaker 1: just gonna call Sylvia because that's what I should have
- 25:35Speaker 1: done in the first place. I told you, bother you
- 25:37Speaker 1: ain't gonna call nobody. You bet not doubt my righte
- 25:40Speaker 1: nother man. I'm telling you this right now. I'll be
- 25:43Speaker 1: at that pass for unit. I've been looking for your can,
- 25:45Speaker 1: whatever your name is. I'm gonna mind out who you are.
- 25:48Speaker 1: I ain't playing no like asn't told you you are
- 25:51Speaker 1: disrespectful in the first place. I didn't told Joe, don't
- 25:56Speaker 1: call my wife. She ain't going to don't. But you
- 25:59Speaker 1: mental you that's not called her phone. I've been mable
- 26:02Speaker 1: to going on you. You say no want to go,
- 26:04Speaker 1: I walk up and knit my situation now and told
- 26:07Speaker 1: you I will come to this class reunion, and I
- 26:09Speaker 1: will your man, because you look like you're playing with
- 26:12Speaker 1: me and acting stupid or something. You ain't taking my
- 26:14Speaker 1: wife to no class reunion. You understand what I'm saying.
- 26:16Speaker 1: Your wife don't gonna want to go to the reunion
- 26:18Speaker 1: with me. How do you know that you ain't going
- 26:20Speaker 1: nowhere with you? I'd have told you, man, don't get
- 26:22Speaker 1: me at the quasy up in here. I'd have told
- 26:24Speaker 1: you now. I said first I was gonna come to
- 26:25Speaker 1: the class when you but I will come to that
- 26:27Speaker 1: just to make you knock your lights out. Don't be
- 26:30Speaker 1: acting stupid like I can't found they got all kind
- 26:33Speaker 1: of ain't filed or some of it, But I'll find
- 26:35Speaker 1: Yours is innocent, man, Me and her going to the
- 26:38Speaker 1: reunion is innocent. And she want to be able to
- 26:39Speaker 1: decide if she want to go with me or not.
- 26:41Speaker 1: I ain't about to your sounds twice in any way
- 26:44Speaker 1: calling somebody talking about a class reunion. Ain't even much
- 26:47Speaker 1: heard about it. I don't give I'll tell you what
- 26:49Speaker 1: you know what I'm gonna get our phone calls ship
- 26:52Speaker 1: respect the ring. You understand what I'm saying to you.
- 26:55Speaker 1: I didn't fo shit, man, But I don't understand what
- 26:58Speaker 1: you can understand about that? What's spad ring? And Man,
- 27:02Speaker 1: I got one more things I need to say to you.
- 27:03Speaker 1: Mant to say to me? Man, you ain't got a
- 27:06Speaker 1: saying to say to me except to hit this clicking
- 27:08Speaker 1: your heel. I got one more damn thing to say
- 27:10Speaker 1: to you, and then I'm gonna get off the phone.
- 27:12Speaker 1: I'm gonna be stu with it. Man, I'm gonna got
- 27:13Speaker 1: to say to me what what's you gotta say to me?
- 27:17Speaker 1: So I hang up? I got this to say to you.
- 27:19Speaker 1: This is nephew Tommy from the Steve Harbin Morning Show.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Your wife Silvia got me to prank phone call you serious, man,
- 27:37Speaker 1: Oh man, I'm over here winning and everything. Man, just man,
- 27:42Speaker 1: this is a joke girl. You right, I'm gonna be
- 27:46Speaker 1: out right about an hour to That's that's okay, that's cool,
- 27:52Speaker 1: all right, all right, y'all got me, y'all got me?
- 27:54Speaker 1: Well I go. This is a good time to tell you.
- 27:57Speaker 1: The class reunion is coming up, and I just ain't
- 28:04Speaker 1: you need to get rid of because you're going. Yeah,
- 28:07Speaker 1: I'll be making sure if Yeah. You know, sometimes you
- 28:11Speaker 1: know you want to, you know you want to, you know,
- 28:13Speaker 1: you want to take your high school sweetheart back to
- 28:15Speaker 1: the high school union. You don't care what her husband thank.
- 28:18Speaker 1: You know, that's something to give, you would say. You know,
- 28:22Speaker 1: I don't see how he don't understand. I mean, he
- 28:25Speaker 1: he wasn't there with us when we went the first time.
- 28:27Speaker 1: You know, I don't really understand what the problem is.
- 28:30Speaker 1: You know, you think calling Hill asking my wife to
- 28:36Speaker 1: escort you thought that was cool what he said. I
- 28:43Speaker 1: only said I ain't trying to hear that either. Take
- 28:45Speaker 1: the phone and put it on your other end, said
- 28:48Speaker 1: you don't know if she wants to go with me
- 28:49Speaker 1: or not. What I'm telling you right now, she ain't
- 28:53Speaker 1: going with you. I'm calling her myself in the car.
- 28:59Speaker 1: But all right, well, coming up at the top of
- 29:03Speaker 1: the hour, we're gonna have some entertainment and national news
- 29:07Speaker 1: with miss Anne Trip. We'll be back right after this.
- 29:10Speaker 1: You're listening to show, all right. So we're praying for
- 29:16Speaker 1: Snoop Dogg right now, we really are. On a post
- 29:19Speaker 1: on Instagram, um, Snoop asked for our prayers for him
- 29:23Speaker 1: and for his family. He said, gotta stay strong, gotta
- 29:26Speaker 1: keep pushing on. They say, God ain't gonna put nothing
- 29:30Speaker 1: on your shoulders you can't handle. I'm being tested right now, y'all.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Make sure you pray for me and my family now.
- 29:38Speaker 1: He didn't say exactly what he was going through, Steve,
- 29:41Speaker 1: But of course we love you, Snoop and we are
- 29:44Speaker 1: praying for you. He had posted earlier a picture of
- 29:47Speaker 1: his mom, seventy year old Miss Beverly Tate. She was
- 29:52Speaker 1: in a picture that Snoop posted earlier on the GRAM.
- 29:55Speaker 1: So you know, we just have to extend our prayers
- 29:58Speaker 1: to him, you know, I guess wh he's ready to
- 30:01Speaker 1: say what it is he will. Yeah. I mean we
- 30:04Speaker 1: all know this one right here. So oh you know,
- 30:07Speaker 1: you know when is your mother, if it's anybody you
- 30:10Speaker 1: care about period mother, that's that's the tough one. It is,
- 30:16Speaker 1: but her prayers going up to snoop you and your family,
- 30:19Speaker 1: boss lady, everybody moving along. We all saw the Tiger
- 30:24Speaker 1: King reality show because we were talking about it. Before
- 30:26Speaker 1: you do this story. Let me just say I don't
- 30:29Speaker 1: gil oh damn. Now go ahead, all right, I'm glad.
- 30:35Speaker 1: I'm glad you cleared that up. I want that out
- 30:38Speaker 1: there before I attempt at care. All right, even sound
- 30:42Speaker 1: like you care a right? Yeah, I don't want to
- 30:44Speaker 1: buy tell about Steve you know what, sound like you
- 30:46Speaker 1: care about that story? Go ahead, Shelley, all right. It
- 30:49Speaker 1: was on Netflix. We were all remember that one of
- 30:52Speaker 1: Joe Exotic's ex husbands, You remember the snaggletooth one, this
- 30:57Speaker 1: snagging and mouth spoken head. Yeah, all right. His name
- 31:03Speaker 1: was John Finley. Well, he claims that his marriage to
- 31:06Speaker 1: Joe Exotic and the other guy that was fake and
- 31:09Speaker 1: they did it for ratings for the show. He said
- 31:13Speaker 1: he's now married to a woman and He says he
- 31:15Speaker 1: was young and dumb and he didn't know a nail
- 31:18Speaker 1: from a hole in the wall back then. He's thirty
- 31:21Speaker 1: seven now and he's got his teeth fixed. Okay, so
- 31:25Speaker 1: that's some good news. And he said he's totally cut
- 31:28Speaker 1: off all contact with his ex husband Joe Exotic, and
- 31:31Speaker 1: Finley says that he plans to get his tattoos covered
- 31:34Speaker 1: up so he can forget his past now. One of
- 31:37Speaker 1: his tattoos says privately owned by Joe Exotic. It's it's
- 31:41Speaker 1: above the growing area. This is fake. Yeah, he said
- 31:46Speaker 1: the marriages were fake for the show. Yeah. Yeah, but
- 31:50Speaker 1: the tattoo real. The tattoo is real. Yeah, the tattoo
- 31:53Speaker 1: is very real. Yeah we did. I say at the beginning,
- 31:57Speaker 1: I don't give a damn about this. Yea, but god
- 32:00Speaker 1: him to say it again. Yeah. Another tattoo says Joe
- 32:04Speaker 1: on the right side of his chest, and then another
- 32:06Speaker 1: one says for my husband Joe on his arm. Uh.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Finlay says, married him here, we're here to part. I
- 32:15Speaker 1: need to get a woman married him with all this
- 32:19Speaker 1: writing on his adet you married your man, but all
- 32:26Speaker 1: is writing to another man only that's what you did yeah,
- 32:30Speaker 1: so that's what I was going to ask you. That
- 32:32Speaker 1: brings me to the question. I'm glad you brought that
- 32:34Speaker 1: out up. Would you marry someone with an ex's name
- 32:38Speaker 1: tatted on them? Would you do that? It doesn't have
- 32:41Speaker 1: to be a man. In your case, it would be
- 32:43Speaker 1: a woman. But would you if another woman had her
- 32:46Speaker 1: ex's name tattooed somewhere in her body? Would you do it? No?
- 32:51Speaker 1: Look at this every day? Yeah, every time, we every
- 32:54Speaker 1: time we gotta make look Craig in him ain't no
- 32:59Speaker 1: where in the world. I'm here here, Roman Rome, you're back. Yeah,
- 33:08Speaker 1: I'm back here. All right, guys, thank you, Andrew, Okay,
- 33:15Speaker 1: thank you very much. Good morning everyone. President Biden says
- 33:18Speaker 1: of the supply of COVID vaccine in this country now
- 33:21Speaker 1: exceeds the demand. So he says he wants to have
- 33:23Speaker 1: some seventy percent of the US population inoculated by July fourth.
- 33:27Speaker 1: As you would expect, the idea of that suits Doctor
- 33:29Speaker 1: Anthony Fauci. Just fine. You will see guarantee the level
- 33:33Speaker 1: of infection go very low. You can start looking at
- 33:36Speaker 1: things that you were restricted from doing. That. Gradually you
- 33:39Speaker 1: will see the CDC lifting the restrictions That would be
- 33:43Speaker 1: anything from indoor dining to the workplace, to sports arenas,
- 33:49Speaker 1: to theaters, and practically everywhere else. Facebook turn thumbs down
- 33:52Speaker 1: yesterday on Donald Trump. Facebook board decide that Facebook was
- 33:56Speaker 1: justified in suspending Trump after the insurrection back in January sixth,
- 34:00Speaker 1: So the panel says Facebook does not have to allow
- 34:02Speaker 1: the ex president access to either Facebook or Instagram. The
- 34:05Speaker 1: board did say, though, that the company was wrong to
- 34:08Speaker 1: impose an indefinite ban on Trump. So Facebook now has
- 34:12Speaker 1: six months to either restore Trump's account, make his suspension permanent,
- 34:16Speaker 1: or suspend the ex commander in chief for a specific
- 34:19Speaker 1: amount of time. As I told you yesterday, the attorney
- 34:22Speaker 1: for George Floyd's murderer, xcop Derek Chauvin, had filed emotion
- 34:25Speaker 1: asking for a new trial alleging prosecutorial and juror misconduct. Well, now,
- 34:29Speaker 1: the argument about the juror sanders on a guy named
- 34:32Speaker 1: Brandon Mitchell and a photo of Mitchell apparently at a
- 34:35Speaker 1: rally wearing a T shirt that read get your knee
- 34:38Speaker 1: off our necks. However, Mitchell says that the demonstration was
- 34:41Speaker 1: not that narrowly focused either way. I was going to
- 34:43Speaker 1: DC for this event, even if George Floyd was alive.
- 34:47Speaker 1: That march was focused on voter registration and things like
- 34:50Speaker 1: that during an election year. And Chauvin's lawyer also wants
- 34:52Speaker 1: certain juror's question to see if they only convicted Chauvin
- 34:55Speaker 1: because they were afraid of causing riots, you know, like
- 34:58Speaker 1: they never sold a video. I suppose police sent a
- 35:00Speaker 1: place called Banning, California to say the two Hispanic felons
- 35:04Speaker 1: have been formally charged with the twenty fifteen murder of
- 35:06Speaker 1: a fifty one year old black man whom they shot
- 35:09Speaker 1: to death simply because he was black. Cops say that
- 35:12Speaker 1: William Almandaris and Samuel Vasquez I saw mister Charles Nesser
- 35:15Speaker 1: walking home from work that night, got out of their car,
- 35:18Speaker 1: shot him to death right there on the street. Now,
- 35:21Speaker 1: Vasquez is awaiting trial for the attempted murder of several
- 35:24Speaker 1: other African Americans. Oh get this, looks like Stacy Abrams
- 35:27Speaker 1: became a brilliant political activist. We know that, But before
- 35:31Speaker 1: all of that, she was a romance novelist. Yes, yes,
- 35:35Speaker 1: so Now the publishing house Berkeley says it's acquired the
- 35:38Speaker 1: rights to three of Stacy Abrams out of print books
- 35:42Speaker 1: books written under her pen name, which was Selena Montgomery,
- 35:45Speaker 1: and am going to be republishing and releasing them next year.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Who now a romance novelist Stacy Abrams. All right, now
- 35:52Speaker 1: back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to show.
- 35:57Speaker 1: I hate this story. Here we go again. One of
- 36:00Speaker 1: the Atlanta officers that was fired and charged and the
- 36:03Speaker 1: shooting death of Ray Schard Brooks. Remember this happened a
- 36:06Speaker 1: couple of months after George Floyd died. Well anyway, one
- 36:12Speaker 1: of the officers has been reinstated by the Atlanta Civil
- 36:16Speaker 1: Service Board. His name is Garrett rolf and the board
- 36:20Speaker 1: issued this statement due to the city's failure to comply
- 36:22Speaker 1: with several provisions of the code and the information received
- 36:26Speaker 1: during witnesses testimony. The board concludes the appellant, that is
- 36:31Speaker 1: Garrett Rolfe was not afforded his right to do process
- 36:35Speaker 1: because remember he was fired immediately after that. Like I said, Therefore,
- 36:39Speaker 1: the board grants the appeal of Garrett rolf and revokes
- 36:43Speaker 1: his dismissal as an employee of the Atlanta Police Department.
- 36:48Speaker 1: And rolf still faces now murder charges in the death
- 36:52Speaker 1: of Ray Shard Brooks. But he's back on the streets
- 36:55Speaker 1: now with a gun and all of that. Okay, you
- 37:00Speaker 1: still got these charges. You know you can get your
- 37:03Speaker 1: little legal team and find this loophole in the law.
- 37:06Speaker 1: I got that, you know, I got that, but we
- 37:09Speaker 1: were still gonna put you on trial. He was not
- 37:13Speaker 1: afforded his right to do process. I'm just telling you,
- 37:16Speaker 1: if a black police officer kills a white kid, all
- 37:20Speaker 1: this due process you're talking about fit to go straight
- 37:22Speaker 1: about the window. It won't even be considered. This is
- 37:27Speaker 1: this is this only keeps happening. I'm just I hate
- 37:30Speaker 1: to tell you this, but this only keeps happening because
- 37:33Speaker 1: it only keeps happening to us. There's the only reason
- 37:36Speaker 1: it keeps happening. The moment it happens to one other
- 37:39Speaker 1: child that is not of color, you're gonna have the
- 37:42Speaker 1: uproar that you're looking for. And it's just as simple
- 37:46Speaker 1: as that one of these lawmakers child has to be
- 37:50Speaker 1: involved in something like that. Oh, then you're gonna hear
- 37:52Speaker 1: about that. You let one of these senators kids get
- 37:54Speaker 1: pulled over by a copy and then they lose their life.
- 37:57Speaker 1: Watch these laws get changed. Then, Yeah, they don't care
- 38:00Speaker 1: about the NRA and nobody, Oh not gonna give a
- 38:03Speaker 1: damn that mother gonna lose her child, give a damn
- 38:07Speaker 1: about the NI and none of these funds. You let
- 38:10Speaker 1: this get away, and we lost our baby because it
- 38:12Speaker 1: is right here. That's that's sad. But that's the only
- 38:18Speaker 1: way I don't know. Man. Now, his his attorney. Roth's
- 38:22Speaker 1: Attorney's name is Lance LaRusso. He said, this is his statement.
- 38:27Speaker 1: We are very pleased at this action and consider it
- 38:30Speaker 1: the first step in the total vindication of Officer Garrett Roth.
- 38:35Speaker 1: The total vindication. Okay, you can say that. That's cool.
- 38:40Speaker 1: Shoulder's lawyer said the same thing. Yeah, there's a tide turney.
- 38:49Speaker 1: You know, I was listening to that motivational speaker, Eric Thomas.
- 38:54Speaker 1: He's my favorite dude. Man, he's my favorite dude because
- 39:00Speaker 1: I love his intensity. He said, we enter in that phase.
- 39:05Speaker 1: All right. That's right, bad boy, Yeah, that's bad boy.
- 39:10Speaker 1: He he no joke. All right, We'll have more of
- 39:14Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at thirty four
- 39:16Speaker 1: minutes after the hour. Right after this. You're listening to
- 39:20Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, So if you
- 39:24Speaker 1: own a peloton treadmill. Treadmill, it's been recalled. Now I
- 39:31Speaker 1: got a bike, Okay, that hasn't been recalled. There is
- 39:34Speaker 1: a recall on the treadmill, though Peloton has agreed to
- 39:38Speaker 1: recall all of its tread and tread Plus machines after
- 39:41Speaker 1: an accident. This is really sad. An accident killed a
- 39:44Speaker 1: six year old boy, a six year old child. There
- 39:47Speaker 1: have been seventy two reports of people, pets or objects
- 39:50Speaker 1: being pulled under the rear of the treadmill, with twenty
- 39:54Speaker 1: nine injuries. Peloton CEO apologize for the company's initial resistance
- 40:00Speaker 1: to the government's request for the recall. He said, Peloton
- 40:03Speaker 1: made a mistake in our initial response to the Consumer
- 40:06Speaker 1: Product Safety Commission's request that we recall the tread Plus.
- 40:10Speaker 1: We should have had. We should have engaged more productively
- 40:13Speaker 1: with them from the outset. Peloton says it is working
- 40:16Speaker 1: on a fix, but in some cases a full refund
- 40:20Speaker 1: will be offered. This is the treadmill. A lot of
- 40:24Speaker 1: people have the bike, but this is the treadmill. We
- 40:26Speaker 1: just want to clarify that I've been on that Peloton Biking.
- 40:30Speaker 1: Wanted to send it back or ain't nothing wrong with it?
- 40:34Speaker 1: Great product, just when I was tired of it. Yeah,
- 40:39Speaker 1: you know this is the first first. I took my
- 40:41Speaker 1: first class last week. Your first class. Well, this week,
- 40:45Speaker 1: when I came back from Africa, I took my first class.
- 40:47Speaker 1: I normally just ride. Oh yeah, you know they got
- 40:53Speaker 1: classes where you can take I can't. I try to
- 40:56Speaker 1: take the class, but I thought the woman was talking
- 40:58Speaker 1: to me the whole time, so I was embarrassed. Turned
- 41:02Speaker 1: up the intensity, Get up out of the center. I'm tired, baby,
- 41:05Speaker 1: what is all this? What is this pressure? Ass ride?
- 41:09Speaker 1: I want to get about to sell I'm tired. Course,
- 41:12Speaker 1: get the cades up. Look at your cadence. Come on.
- 41:14Speaker 1: Then you know she's say nam and you know Steve,
- 41:19Speaker 1: you know name. He ain't getting that by too many people.
- 41:23Speaker 1: Come on, Steve, what what got your attention? Yeah? She
- 41:29Speaker 1: wasn't even talking to me, and I just felt some
- 41:32Speaker 1: kind of way about it. But I took my first
- 41:35Speaker 1: class last week, and I just took the beginner of course,
- 41:38Speaker 1: just to see what the class was like. It was
- 41:40Speaker 1: it was. It was a twenty minute ride. Black dude
- 41:44Speaker 1: did it. It It was pretty cool. Next thing I knew
- 41:46Speaker 1: the twenty minutes was up because you got to raise
- 41:49Speaker 1: up the resistance, let it down, get your cadens up
- 41:51Speaker 1: to a certain thing. They got a little barred at
- 41:53Speaker 1: the bottom to tell you what what what cadence he
- 41:56Speaker 1: wants you at, And then he got what your resistance
- 41:58Speaker 1: should be between, and they give your rain us to
- 42:00Speaker 1: play with. I stayed on the high end of the range,
- 42:02Speaker 1: just even though I'm a beginner, because I always I
- 42:05Speaker 1: challenged myself like that. You're sixty four years old, fly,
- 42:08Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. Just up and this penoton rag.
- 42:10Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. You know, I got got
- 42:14Speaker 1: through with that twenty minutes. Man, ain't been back on
- 42:15Speaker 1: that damn place. Your so appreciate all this, yeo yo.
- 42:24Speaker 1: But but I bought me a bike today. I bought it.
- 42:28Speaker 1: I bought me yesterday. I bought a bike yesterday. What
- 42:31Speaker 1: kind of bike? Just a regular I bought one of
- 42:34Speaker 1: those peddal assisted bikes. Oh you know where if you
- 42:38Speaker 1: get in trouble, because like where I leave a lot
- 42:42Speaker 1: of heels, like it's just too hard. Yeah, the bike
- 42:47Speaker 1: help you get up. Yeah, you know it's peddal assisted.
- 42:53Speaker 1: It's a little bit of money, but it's mostly heels.
- 42:56Speaker 1: Where I stayed. So if I want to get out
- 42:58Speaker 1: there and getting the fresh air, because I gonna tie him.
- 43:01Speaker 1: You know, I I gotta really really get in shape
- 43:03Speaker 1: this year. Man. Yeah, I can't wait to be You
- 43:06Speaker 1: aren't getting assisted bike off the story. I gotta get
- 43:12Speaker 1: off the bike. You I gotta get off my bike
- 43:16Speaker 1: and walking up this damn here he get assistance? Whoa Julia?
- 43:21Speaker 1: Get this money, Junior? If I got to get off
- 43:24Speaker 1: my bike, I'm making a phone call. Somebody's hanging down
- 43:30Speaker 1: here to give I got enough people working for me.
- 43:32Speaker 1: Somebody gonna brain the head down here? Are you wearing
- 43:36Speaker 1: a helmet, Steve or you? Just? Yeah? I bought a helmet, now,
- 43:40Speaker 1: ain't okay? That's good safety first. Oh no, get a helmet. No,
- 43:46Speaker 1: I ain't. I ain't busting my head. Yeah, they'd be
- 43:49Speaker 1: talking about hot Keep your brain still in your helmet.
- 43:52Speaker 1: I'm going, what what und my whole life as a kid.
- 43:56Speaker 1: Ain't never had no helmet, I ain't ever you know?
- 44:01Speaker 1: All right? Coming up next prank phone call from Junior
- 44:05Speaker 1: in for the nephew. Right after this again, you're listening
- 44:11Speaker 1: to Dave Harvey Morning Show coming up at the top
- 44:15Speaker 1: of the hour, right about four minutes after. It's my
- 44:17Speaker 1: strawberry letter for today, the subject I'm tired of sneaking
- 44:21Speaker 1: around with her. All right, we'll get into that in
- 44:24Speaker 1: just a little bit, but right now it's time for
- 44:27Speaker 1: the prank phone call. Junior is in for the nephew.

- 48:39Speaker 1: she was gonna save it for me and give me
- 48:41Speaker 1: to me. I signed my things. She didn't give it
- 48:43Speaker 1: to me. If you wouldn't have been so drunk, you
- 48:44Speaker 1: wouldn't you want to have have left your card at the
- 48:46Speaker 1: club when the body. Man, I had two tricks, But

- 53:51Speaker 1: for the Strawberry Letter. Put your hands together for my girl,
- 53:53Speaker 1: Shirley Strawberry. All right, subject, thank you, Junior objected. I'm
- 54:00Speaker 1: tired of sneaking around with her. Just Stephen, Shirley. I'm
- 54:04Speaker 1: a twenty seven year old single man, and I would
- 54:06Speaker 1: love to stop sneaking around with the love of my life.
- 54:09Speaker 1: I've been friends with my secret lover for twenty years,
- 54:13Speaker 1: and our parents are best friends. Our families did everything
- 54:16Speaker 1: together for over twenty years, but they have no idea
- 54:20Speaker 1: about our secret romance. She and I have been best
- 54:23Speaker 1: friends since we were seven. By the time we turned thirteen,
- 54:27Speaker 1: she was blossoming into a woman, and I liked it.
- 54:31Speaker 1: She was curious about my body and I enjoyed caressing hers.
- 54:35Speaker 1: When she let me on her seventeenth birthday, she told
- 54:38Speaker 1: me she was ready to have sex and she wanted
- 54:41Speaker 1: me to be her first. That was the moment I
- 54:44Speaker 1: had been waiting for, so we both had sex for
- 54:47Speaker 1: the first time. I fell in love with her by
- 54:50Speaker 1: the time I was eighteen. We continued to secretly have
- 54:54Speaker 1: sex throughout college, and now that we're grown, she still
- 54:58Speaker 1: likes to sneak around with me. I've dated other girls,
- 55:01Speaker 1: but no other woman compares to her. I have asked
- 55:05Speaker 1: her to be my girlfriend so many times, but she
- 55:08Speaker 1: is afraid of what her parents will think. She's been
- 55:11Speaker 1: dating a guy for almost two years and we still
- 55:14Speaker 1: have sex often. But we still have sex often. She's
- 55:17Speaker 1: told me that she's not had sex with him, and
- 55:20Speaker 1: I believed her until recently, when she told me that
- 55:23Speaker 1: he's talking about marriage. My heart started beating fast and
- 55:27Speaker 1: I panicked and poured out all of my feelings to
- 55:29Speaker 1: her and said I wanted to be with her and
- 55:32Speaker 1: marry her. She said we could never be together because
- 55:36Speaker 1: although we are not blood relatives, our families are linked
- 55:40Speaker 1: so closely it's like we're related. I yelled at her
- 55:44Speaker 1: that I don't make love to my relatives. Why won't
- 55:48Speaker 1: she give us a chance. I don't want to lose
- 55:51Speaker 1: her for good, so what should I do? Wow, you
- 55:55Speaker 1: don't want to lose her for good. Well she's gone.
- 55:58Speaker 1: I mean, you've already lost her. She never wanted you
- 56:03Speaker 1: for anything more than a side piece anyway. Everything was
- 56:07Speaker 1: always in secret. Okay, she's never given you any reason
- 56:10Speaker 1: to think otherwise. All you have to do is listen
- 56:13Speaker 1: to her and read between her lines. You are her
- 56:15Speaker 1: side piece, her jump off, her plaything, and that's it.
- 56:20Speaker 1: I mean, there are clues throughout the letter. You say.
- 56:24Speaker 1: Now that we're grown, she still likes to sneak around
- 56:26Speaker 1: with you. Yeah, she wants to keep you a secret.
- 56:28Speaker 1: She won't date you because she's afraid of what her
- 56:31Speaker 1: parents might think. Really, but she's grown. You just said
- 56:37Speaker 1: you guys are grown. You've told her you want to
- 56:40Speaker 1: be with her and you want to marry her. Still
- 56:43Speaker 1: nothing from her, nothing. She's thinking about marrying some other guy.
- 56:47Speaker 1: She said, you guys could never be together because your relatives.
- 56:51Speaker 1: Excuse after excuse after excuse. With this one. She knows
- 56:56Speaker 1: you're not related, but she's using that so she can
- 57:00Speaker 1: keep things as they are, so you can be her
- 57:02Speaker 1: little secret. Okay, you know she just wants you for sex.
- 57:08Speaker 1: I hope you know that. And because you're in love
- 57:11Speaker 1: with her, you just keep giving her what you want,
- 57:14Speaker 1: what she wants whenever she wants it, which means she
- 57:18Speaker 1: gets to have you and her fiance. She gets her
- 57:20Speaker 1: cake and she can eat it too. Who is this woman?
- 57:25Speaker 1: I mean, what is this hold on you she has?
- 57:28Speaker 1: You got to move on from her, you do. I
- 57:31Speaker 1: know you've dated other women, but you can't stop comparing
- 57:34Speaker 1: them to her. You got to stop that. That's the
- 57:36Speaker 1: way you move on. I mean you got to step
- 57:38Speaker 1: back and take a look at what's really what's really
- 57:41Speaker 1: going on here? I just say, wake up, stay awoke.
- 57:44Speaker 1: After you wake up from this dream you're in about her,
- 57:48Speaker 1: then maybe hopefully you'll stop being her little you know, secret,
- 57:52Speaker 1: her little guinea pig, her little plaything, and you can
- 57:55Speaker 1: move on from there. Steve One sit completely disagree. Yell boy,

- 1:00:45Speaker 1: for the both of y'all. You fell in love with her.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: By eighteen, y'all had sex all throughout college, secretly without
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: your parents knowing. I don't know how cool these damn
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: parents he is. Why they wouldn't be all right with
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: their babies linking up together. I don't know what this
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: damn relationship is. Y'all parents got but it's too big.

- 1:02:47Speaker 1: day we wrote songs about situations, and this boy says
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: nothing compassed, nothing compassed to you. That boy meant this man.
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: I just wanted to drop that in the middle of
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: the letter. Anyway, I've asked her to be my girlfriend
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: so many times, but she's afraid of what her parents
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: would think. She's been dating the guy for two years,
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: but we still have sex often. She told me she
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: ain't having sex with him. I believed her until recently
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: when she told me he's talking about marriage. Here would go.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: My heart started beating fast. I panicked. I poured all
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: my feelings to us, and I said I wanted to
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: be with her. I want to marry her. She said
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: we could never be together because although we are not
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: blood relatives, our families are linked together so closely it's
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: like we related. I yelled at her, I don't make
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: love to my relatives. Why won't she give us a chance?
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: I don't want to lose her for good? So what

- 1:14:53Speaker 1: I at least pick somebody outbeat. I wouldn't gobody who
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: knocked down. It's really really hard, yeah, but still really
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: really still no, no, no, no, they all it's just
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: slower to get to you and they don't take one.
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: But I would pick somebody out beat before. You know,
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: I wouldn't just go get Lenny. I mean, come on that.
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: I mean Tyson just want to fight at this point.
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: He tried with holy Field, but you know, yeah, I
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: don't know why him and only Field won't fight. It'll
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: make the most mother, right, Yeah, it was like twenty
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: five million at this age. I'm fighting Mike for twenty five.
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: I know what to do with this twenty But what
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: about what about the reef a cushions? After the fight?
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: I ain't gonna be none. I'm gonna go to sleep
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: so fast. You think went down in the olive fight. Yeah,
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: all that punch got to do is go by and
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: then you're out. As soon as soon as he hit me,
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: I'm gonna just I'm gonna run across the ring and
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: just jump into his arms, and as soon as he
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: hit me, I'm gonna fall straight out. All right, guys,
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: we'll have more of the Sea coming up a thirty
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: three minute after. Right after this, you're listening show time
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: for Ask the clo. This one's from Militia in Kansas.
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: Militia writes, I'm in my early thirties and my husband
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: wants a divorce because I went to my personal trainer's house.
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: I stopped by my trainer's housewarming party to congratulate him
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: and give him a bottle of wine. It was quick
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: and innocent. My husband's co worker told him I was there.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: My husband said, he's sick of me being naive and
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: embarrassing him, and he wants a divorce. He's got a
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: habit of throwing a divorce at me when he's mad.
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: I'm sick of him doing this. Is he looking for
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: any reason to end the marriage? Yeah? I mean what
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: you said it, you know, and he used divorce a lot. Yeah,
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: so I don't think you should play with that. That's
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: nothing to play with if you don't know. But just dude,
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: you know, it would have been a great idea though,
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: had you told him instead of him hearing about it
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: from a co worker, because now the co worker, Hey man, yeah,
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: your wife was over there. My wife, Yeah, I was
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: over the personal trainer's house. You know that. You gotta admit, sister,
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: that ain't a good look. I don't think that's grounds
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: for divorce, but it definitely is not a good look. Now,
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: if he keeps throwing divorce up in your face, maybe
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: has he had some mold not so good looks. You
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: gotta kind of ask yourself, because he ain't throwing up
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: divorce for no reason. But he said in this I'm
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: tired of you embarrassing me, and so maybe you've done it. Yeah,
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: maybe you've done it repeatedly. I don't know. Is he
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: trying to get out something? Yeah? I know it's I
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: notice what she said. But if one of my dudes saying,
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: hey man, oh that's wild, man, I saw your wife
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: yesterday over the personal trainer's house. What rey like? What? Yeah? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: she bought some wine over every time out about wine
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: over girl's house. It was for her to drink and
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: feel a certain kind of way and housewarming party. All right,
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: we're moving on Erica and Carrolton. Georgia says, my husband
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: and I have two children and one on the way.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: I'm twenty nine, he's thirty four. He wants one more
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: kid after this one, but I'm ready to shut the
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: baby factory down. I look forward to losing weight and
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: getting back in shape. I also plan to take birth
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: control medicine so I won't ever get pregnant again. He
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: is dead set against it. My mom said to listen
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: to my husband, but I don't agree with her. It's
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: my body, So does his opinion matter? Obviously not? Twenty
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: nine year old. Wait a minute, now, you got two kids,
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: one on the way, and you want to shut it down?
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: He say, absolutely not. His wife say listen to you,
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: while your mama say, listen to your husband. Does his
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: your opinion matters the most? Coming up, it is our
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: last break of the day, and of course we'll have
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: some closing remarks from the one and only Steve Harvey

- 1:19:57Speaker 1: did say that. You did say that. I said that. Okay,
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: you did that, all right, and listen. Before we get
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: out of here and get to Steve, we gotta say
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: one more time, guys, Happy Nurses Day. Nurses means so
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: much to us, and uh they work tirelessly there on
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: the front lines. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Enjoy
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: your day, nurses. Thank you absolutely. Yeah, all right, Steve.
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: I don't know, you know, I was just thinking about
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: positivity and the impact that it can have on a
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: person's life. I don't really know if if if we
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: could start focusing on our thought process, it changes everything.
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: I cannot tell you what you can attract to yourself
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: by professing the right words out of your mouth. You know, um,
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: it's a very simple thing. The law of attraction works. Okay,
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: let me let me show you this. If you go
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: home today after you get off work, or if you
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: go in the house and you pick up your remote
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: control and you pointed at the TV and you press
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: the on button, what do you expect to happen? Well,
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: what you expect to happen happens. You expect the TV
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: to come on. The TV comes on. Let's say your
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: favorite channel is Let's take for example of let's say
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: it's Sports Center. A Sports centers on channel eight forty six.
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: When you press eight four six and you press select,
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: you expect for your TV to tune in to Sports Center.
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: You don't wonder about it, You just you know that's
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: what's going to happen. Guess what appears on your TV
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: Sports Center. If you want to watch a movie on
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: HBO on HBO channel four fifty, and you press four
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: or five or and you press select, without even consciously
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: thinking about it, you just look at your TV expecting
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: to see HBO. Guess what shows up on your TV? HBO.
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: What I'm saying is the human mind operates off the
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: law of attraction. These little things that we have in
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: our hand called remotes and bluetooth was built off the
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: principle of the mental power of the human mind because
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: God created us that way that what we project out
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: of our mind is the thing that will come back
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: to our reality. All remotes are built on the principle
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: that a man is as he thinketh so as you think,
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: so shall you be. So when you point something out
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: a TV and you expect that's what to happened, that's
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: what happens. The law of attraction is real. That's how
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: your mental capacity works. The greatest remote in this world
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: is not the one that controls your TV. It's the
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: one that operates between your two ears. Your brain is
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: the greatest remote control ever created. And God created you
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: because He created you in his image. Do you remember
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: the Bible when God said let there be light? He
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: said it before that was light. There was no light
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: until he said let there be light. And then guess
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: what that was light? When he said peace be still,
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: then the waters calmed down. He spoke everything stand up
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: and walk, and the light art up and walk. He spoken,
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: he said he would do it first. That's how the
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: mental mind works, y'all. Everything that comes out of your
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: mouth is projecting something to come back to you. So
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: if you monitor your thoughts, if you monitor your words,
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: if you constantly place something like I said yesterday, if
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: you practice power thoughts and I got that from Joel Oldstein,
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: if you practice power thoughts, do you understand what happens
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: to you? You all? It really does work this way.
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: I've seen it work in my life over and over
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: and over and over and over and over and over.
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: But you've seen it work in your life too. But
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: you just have to turn it into a practice, a practice,
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: make a concerted effort when you wake up to project
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: out of your mouth and out of your remote control
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: in your mind the things that you want to come back.
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: You don't have to be rich to be successful. I
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: know people who get everything they want out of and
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: they're not rich. I'm telling you they're successful because they've
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: taken this God given gift and they're living in their
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: fullest because they projected that out and that's the thing
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: to come back to me. A friend of mine, doctor
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: Steve Perry, it's one of my greatest examples. Man, I
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: just admire this brother man that he's taking this gift
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: to teach and motivate and molded so many young people
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: and sent them off to college. And he's changed so
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: many lives. He's not filthy rich, but he's one of
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: the most well off people that I know. And I
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: admire him so and I sent him a text the
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: other day and told him just that, Man, it's one
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: of the most gifted dudes I've ever met, doctor Steve Perry,
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: because he's living in his gift. He's one of the
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: most successful people I know. Living your gift, but he prochecks,
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: he projects positivity and he gets it back from them children.
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: He's taught it to them. What you put out is
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: what's going to come back. Monitor your thoughts and change
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: your life. Those are my clothes remarks. I have a
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: great day. We'll see y'all tomorrow. Okay today, practice positive thoughts.
