- 0:00Speaker 1: I am here because Washington needs fighters, and Graham Platner
- 0:05Speaker 1: is the fighter we need. You. Bet, I said to myself,
- 0:13Speaker 1: that's my kind of man. That's my that's my that's
- 0:18Speaker 1: my kind of man. That's my that's my that's my
- 0:23Speaker 1: kind of man.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Because that is a man.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Who not only has the values, but a man believes
- 0:33Speaker 1: and accountability.
- 0:37Speaker 3: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Good Wednesday morning.
- 0:41Speaker 4: It's so nice to have you with us on the
- 0:43Speaker 4: forty seven Morning Update, and we've got two.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Very big stories for you.
- 0:46Speaker 4: First up, Grand Platner, Democrats turning on him, trying to
- 0:50Speaker 4: get him out of the race. But if you think
- 0:51Speaker 4: they've found their moral compass, we've got to tell you
- 0:54Speaker 4: about another candidate they're backing with everything they've got, plus
- 0:59Speaker 4: the president nights and it's America. He says he's had
- 1:02Speaker 4: enough of Iran's threats monstead of Oremus and now has
- 1:05Speaker 4: said sanctions are coming back on their oil and even
- 1:08Speaker 4: strikes against Iran. Now, before we get to both those stories,
- 1:12Speaker 4: I want to talk to you right now about how
- 1:14Speaker 4: the stakes could not be any higher. We finally have
- 1:17Speaker 4: a president and administration fighting hard for America first. But
- 1:21Speaker 4: if conservatives like you and I lose focus now, the
- 1:24Speaker 4: same people who created this mess are ready and waiting
- 1:27Speaker 4: to resume their destruction their progressive agenda. And protecting this
- 1:31Speaker 4: momentum takes more than votes. It takes every American like
- 1:35Speaker 4: you staying in the fight for our rights and freedoms.
- 1:38Speaker 4: And that's why more and more people I know are
- 1:42Speaker 4: switching to Patriot Mobile. It is America's only Christian conservative
- 1:46Speaker 4: wireless provider now, Patriot Mobile, which I use every day,
- 1:49Speaker 4: and they're amazing. They offer premium priority nationwide service on
- 1:54Speaker 4: all three major US networks, unlimited data plans, mobile hotspots,
- 1:58Speaker 4: international roaming. They've got it all and I love their
- 2:02Speaker 4: team because it's one hundred percent US based customer support.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Switching has never been easier.
- 2:07Speaker 4: You can do it in minutes while keeping your same
- 2:09Speaker 4: phone and the same phone number you've got right now. Now,
- 2:12Speaker 4: this is where the magic comes in. Unlike the other carriers,
- 2:15Speaker 4: Patriot Mobile they put their money towards causes that defend faith, family,
- 2:20Speaker 4: and freedom. They literally contribute millions of dollars each year
- 2:24Speaker 4: to organizations on the front lines fighting for our God
- 2:28Speaker 4: given rights, and that is why I.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Love Patriot Mobile.
- 2:32Speaker 4: So, whether you've got a small business or a bunch
- 2:34Speaker 4: of family lines, or just your phone number, switch it today.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Join the movement.
- 2:38Speaker 4: Go to Patriot Mobile dot com slash Ben forty seven,
- 2:43Speaker 4: Patriotmobile dot com slash Ben forty seven or nine to
- 2:46Speaker 4: seven to Patriot, and if you use the promo code
- 2:49Speaker 4: Ben forty seven, you're gonna get a free month of service.
- 2:52Speaker 4: That's Patriotmobile dot com slash Ben forty seven or nine
- 2:56Speaker 4: to seven to Patriot To make that switch today. It's
- 3:00Speaker 4: a forty seven morning update and it starts right now.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Story number one.
- 3:05Speaker 4: Democrats are turning quickly on Grand Platiner, not because of
- 3:09Speaker 4: the latest accuser, but because they realize he can't win.
- 3:14Speaker 4: The polling data is now showing that he is a
- 3:16Speaker 4: lame duck candidate. And now Democrats do what they do well,
- 3:21Speaker 4: They excommunicate you quickly. Even ms NOW, you know, formerly
- 3:26Speaker 4: of MSNBC. They are suggesting that Platner's latest accuser is
- 3:31Speaker 4: somehow quote more reliable because his other accuser, well, it
- 3:36Speaker 4: was associated with right wing politics.
- 3:39Speaker 2: That's their exact quote.
- 3:41Speaker 4: So because they say that she's now this woman is
- 3:44Speaker 4: a liberal. I guess you can believe her so much
- 3:47Speaker 4: for a party that said literally believe all women, well
- 3:51Speaker 4: apparently unless you're a Republican, you got it.
- 3:53Speaker 2: This actually happened on MSNBC.
- 3:57Speaker 5: To that comment about the sort of post me to
- 3:59Speaker 5: Eras and the debate that sort of happened to the
- 4:01Speaker 5: Democratic Party after the series of allegations around Graham Plattner.
- 4:06Speaker 5: Part of I think what made it complicated for some
- 4:08Speaker 5: Democrats to fully believe the woman who's at the center
- 4:12Speaker 5: of the last round was that she was associated with
- 4:14Speaker 5: right wing politics. But this woman, she I want to
- 4:18Speaker 5: read part of what's out here. One of the reasons,
- 4:20Speaker 5: she says to Politico, I didn't come forward sooner was
- 4:23Speaker 5: the huge moral conflict that I had between supporting his politics.
- 4:26Speaker 5: So she is saying, I actually agree with Graham Platner,
- 4:29Speaker 5: his positions, his politics. She's clearly more on the left,
- 4:31Speaker 5: but not supporting him as a person. I just want
- 4:34Speaker 5: the truth out there. I just want people to have
- 4:36Speaker 5: a whole scope of who he is as a person.
- 4:40Speaker 4: So to be clear, the only women that Democrats will
- 4:43Speaker 4: actually believe are radical lefties, and only when they've gotten
- 4:47Speaker 4: their marching orders to come out and accuse of candidate
- 4:50Speaker 4: that they believe is going to lose of something. This
- 4:52Speaker 4: is very much like Eric Swallwell in California, and then
- 4:56Speaker 4: we will say, okay, fine, you must drop out. Fetterman
- 5:00Speaker 4: the only Democrat out there who actually is calling out
- 5:03Speaker 4: Democrats for their hypocrisy. He said this on Fox News
- 5:07Speaker 4: Channel about Bernie Sanders.
- 5:09Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, I refuse to overlook that, but honestly,
- 5:13Speaker 6: I would really call Bernie Sanders to apologize for pushing
- 5:19Speaker 6: this kind of predator more than anyone. He helped him
- 5:23Speaker 6: elect and now apologize to the victims, especially the woman
- 5:27Speaker 6: that she claimed that he raped her. So, I don't
- 5:31Speaker 6: know why you want to keep pushing these kinds of people.
- 5:34Speaker 6: Maybe he should consider set a few out and stop
- 5:37Speaker 6: pushing these kind of communists and people and now people
- 5:41Speaker 6: you know like p Hustle. Now he has been incredibly
- 5:45Speaker 6: accused of rape and that's fairly recent too, that was
- 5:49Speaker 6: only less than five years ago.
- 5:52Speaker 5: Well, he said that allegations are untrue, but that he's
- 5:56Speaker 5: basically reviewing his options obviously gonna drop out.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Correct.
- 6:02Speaker 4: Now you listen to that from Fetterman, and what you
- 6:05Speaker 4: learn is this the Democratic Party is not doing the
- 6:08Speaker 4: right thing here. They're just trying to win a seat.
- 6:10Speaker 4: Their moral compass is literally only what the polling data shows.
- 6:16Speaker 4: And if you don't believe me, let me give you
- 6:18Speaker 4: this fact. New audio has surfaced in another race. It
- 6:22Speaker 4: is now audio that contradicts Abdul l Shaide's claim that
- 6:27Speaker 4: he never backed the radical identity politics of defunding the police. Yes,
- 6:33Speaker 4: that far left Muslim Michigan Senate candidate is now facing
- 6:36Speaker 4: renewed scrutiny after this new audio showed him explicitly supporting
- 6:41Speaker 4: efforts to defund the police departments completely. Now, in his
- 6:45Speaker 4: previous interviews, Alseaeid had denied ever calling to defund the police,
- 6:51Speaker 4: arguing that his old social media posts work just misrepresented
- 6:55Speaker 4: after of course being taken out of context. But now
- 6:59Speaker 4: a recording from just twenty twenty tells a very different story.
- 7:03Speaker 4: In one interview from June twenty twenty, al Sayed said
- 7:06Speaker 4: he believed police funding should be reduced while more taxpayer
- 7:10Speaker 4: dollars should be directed towards schools, mental health services, and
- 7:13Speaker 4: of course anti poverty programs, because remember, this is how
- 7:18Speaker 4: you justify defunding the police. Alseeed said this as well.
- 7:23Speaker 4: We are in a moment when a lot of our
- 7:25Speaker 4: public conversation gets chewed down into two hundred eighty characters
- 7:29Speaker 4: or less, and that is not the best way to
- 7:31Speaker 4: talk about anything. So you'll note I didn't say defund
- 7:35Speaker 4: the police. I just described what needed to be done.
- 7:38Speaker 4: And I do think we need to be really focused
- 7:40Speaker 4: on describing or explaining rather than sort of hedging on
- 7:44Speaker 4: one side or the other behind a quote hashtag. He
- 7:48Speaker 4: then said, defunding the police is disinvesting in the means
- 7:52Speaker 4: of incarcerating someone or killing them on the streets, and
- 7:56Speaker 4: investing more in the means of educating and empowering and
- 7:59Speaker 4: in gauging communities with the means of being able to
- 8:03Speaker 4: take on systemic poverty that we've allowed to fester in
- 8:06Speaker 4: too many communities. Now again, these comments originally came out
- 8:11Speaker 4: in twenty twenty, right as the quote defund the police
- 8:15Speaker 4: movement was picking up major steam after the death of
- 8:17Speaker 4: George Floyd. Alseed's campaign now has to admit and they
- 8:22Speaker 4: have admitted that his views have quote changed since then.
- 8:27Speaker 4: So instead of just straight applying to you saying I
- 8:29Speaker 4: never said it, they're now saying, well, maybe he did
- 8:32Speaker 4: say it, but well he didn't really mean it. Now
- 8:35Speaker 4: the issue is coming up again because Elseed is currently
- 8:37Speaker 4: leading the Democratic primary for Michigan's top US Senate seat.
- 8:42Speaker 4: The new polls that have come out earlier this May
- 8:45Speaker 4: showed him out in a twenty eight point lead. Yeah
- 8:48Speaker 4: that's big, so Alseed, Well, now he's getting people that
- 8:53Speaker 4: are actually looking at what he believes in and he
- 8:55Speaker 4: is another radical communists. Now this is again the Democratic park.
- 9:00Speaker 4: This is the candidates they keep choosing. It doesn't matter
- 9:03Speaker 4: if they lie to your face. It doesn't matter. If
- 9:06Speaker 4: they've abused women. It doesn't matter if they lie about
- 9:09Speaker 4: anything in their past. As long as they think they
- 9:13Speaker 4: can win. It doesn't matter if you've abused women, hit them,
- 9:16Speaker 4: rape them, it doesn't matter. This is the Democratic Party.
- 9:20Speaker 4: Win it all costs. But if the polling data changes,
- 9:24Speaker 4: well they'll excommunicate you as fast as they did Eric
- 9:27Speaker 4: Swalwell and now Grand Platner.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Next story Number two.
- 9:31Speaker 4: President Donald Trump twenty four hours ago issued a stark
- 9:35Speaker 4: warning to Iran, declaring the US is prepared to completely
- 9:39Speaker 4: dismantle the country's infrastructure in a small part of an
- 9:43Speaker 4: afternoon if a diplomatic deal cannot be reached.
- 9:47Speaker 2: The President saying this from the Oval Office. Look, we're
- 9:51Speaker 2: gonna win one way or the other.
- 9:52Speaker 7: We're either going to make a deal. We're going to
- 9:54Speaker 7: finish the job, okay, And it won't be tough to
- 9:57Speaker 7: finish your job. I'd rather make a deal because I
- 10:01Speaker 7: don't want to affect ninety one million people. We can
- 10:03Speaker 7: knock down their bridges in one hour. We can knock
- 10:07Speaker 7: out their energy supply. All of those big plants that
- 10:11Speaker 7: they built, big beautiful modern plants, had a lot of money.
- 10:14Speaker 7: They don't have any money now.
- 10:16Speaker 2: We haven't given them any money.
- 10:18Speaker 7: But we can knock out their electricity and power generating plants.
- 10:23Speaker 7: And I would say a small part of an afternoon,
- 10:28Speaker 7: every plant will be gone.
- 10:30Speaker 4: And they know that, the President saying that from the
- 10:32Speaker 4: Oval Office. Well, just twenty four hours after that, President
- 10:36Speaker 4: Trump has ordered a new round of US military strikes
- 10:39Speaker 4: against Iran. Why because Iranian forces, well, they decided to
- 10:44Speaker 4: go after shipping commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz,
- 10:48Speaker 4: one of the most strategic and important waterways on the planet. Now,
- 10:52Speaker 4: at the same time, the Trump administration is also reversed
- 10:55Speaker 4: course on sanctions relief. They have instantly reimposed restrictions on
- 11:00Speaker 4: Iranian oil exports and what officials described as a direct
- 11:04Speaker 4: response to Tehran's actions. Now, the strait is the world's
- 11:09Speaker 4: most critical oil choke point, and it's extremely important to Iran.
- 11:14Speaker 4: Roughly one fifth of the global traded oil moves through
- 11:17Speaker 4: the narrow stretch of water, and when Iran threatens or
- 11:20Speaker 4: attacks ships there, it's not simply a regional issue. It
- 11:23Speaker 4: has the potential and does in fact affect energy markets,
- 11:27Speaker 4: gasoline prices, inflation, and the global economy. Now, according to
- 11:32Speaker 4: US officials, Iranian forces attacked multiple commercial vessels, including oil
- 11:38Speaker 4: and liquid natural gas tankers, using projectiles near the Strait
- 11:43Speaker 4: of Hormuz, and in response, the President went back to
- 11:47Speaker 4: maximum pressure strategy. He authorized a significantly expanded military operation.
- 11:54Speaker 4: US forces reportedly struck more than eighty Iranian military targets,
- 11:58Speaker 4: including missile launch sites, command and control facilities, surveillance systems,
- 12:04Speaker 4: and dozens of fast attack boats believed to have been
- 12:07Speaker 4: involved in threatening the shipping channel. Now, the administration says
- 12:11Speaker 4: these were defensive strikes designed to restore freedom of navigation
- 12:15Speaker 4: and deter traditional attacks, not the beginning of a broader war.
- 12:20Speaker 4: US officials have continued to say they remain open to
- 12:23Speaker 4: negotiations even while responding militarily, because again, this is peace
- 12:28Speaker 4: through strength. Now, the second major move may have just
- 12:32Speaker 4: as much long term significance as well, the Trump administration
- 12:36Speaker 4: revoking the temporary authorization that it allowed Iran to legally
- 12:40Speaker 4: sell oil under the recent diplomatic understanding between Washington and Tehran.
- 12:47Speaker 4: Treasury officials say Iran's attacks on commercial shipping made continuation
- 12:52Speaker 4: of those waivers unacceptable. The wine down period for Ranian
- 12:56Speaker 4: oil sales has been dramatically shortened, as well, off the
- 13:00Speaker 4: key source of revenue for the Iranian government that they
- 13:03Speaker 4: desperately need, and that is significant because oil exports are
- 13:07Speaker 4: the financial lifeblood of Iran's economy. The administration's message appears
- 13:13Speaker 4: to be well yet again straightforward. If Iran attacks international shipping,
- 13:19Speaker 4: it will not simultaneously receive economic relief from the United
- 13:22Speaker 4: States of America. Iran, meanwhile, is also doing what they
- 13:26Speaker 4: do well as a terrorist country, accusing Washington of violating
- 13:30Speaker 4: them recent memory of understanding that had temporarily reduced tensions.
- 13:35Speaker 4: Iranian officials argued the US strikes and renewed sanctions represent
- 13:39Speaker 4: breaches to that agreement. Now US officials contend it was
- 13:43Speaker 4: I Ran that first violated the understanding by literally attacking
- 13:47Speaker 4: commercial vessels and actually giving warnings on the radio to
- 13:52Speaker 4: multiple ships that you either stop and turn around or
- 13:55Speaker 4: you will be attacked. Now, the financial markets, they're also
- 13:59Speaker 4: reacting immediately. Oil prices have jumped more than five percent
- 14:04Speaker 4: as traders worried about additional instability in the Persian Gulf,
- 14:07Speaker 4: and investors understand that any prolonged disruption in the Strait
- 14:11Speaker 4: could also have worldwide consequences for energy markets and energy supplies.
- 14:17Speaker 4: The broader question now is whether this has become another
- 14:20Speaker 4: short lived military exchange or the beginning of another dangerous
- 14:24Speaker 4: cycle of retaliation. Iran has already come out at this
- 14:28Speaker 4: hour condemning the strikes and warned of major consequences. The
- 14:32Speaker 4: United States says it remains prepared to defend American forces
- 14:37Speaker 4: and international shipping if additional attacks occur. So that's where
- 14:41Speaker 4: we are right now. President Trump has responded to the
- 14:44Speaker 4: attacks on commercial shipping with both military force and renewed
- 14:48Speaker 4: economic pressure. The President clearly saying exactly what he said
- 14:53Speaker 4: days in advance and actually sticking to those words, showing
- 14:57Speaker 4: peace but also military strength when he needs to.
