- 0:02Speaker 1: Y'all know what time to y'all don't know, y'all have
- 0:10Speaker 1: a suit looking back to back down, giving them more
- 0:15Speaker 1: like the Millian buck things, and its cubbing me through
- 0:20Speaker 1: good it. Steve Hart listening to the movie to other
- 0:26Speaker 1: for stum, please, I don't join join me in doing me. Honey,
- 0:58Speaker 1: you gotta turn, you gotta turn to turn them out.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Turn you haven't got to turn them out. Then turn
- 1:46Speaker 1: the water the water go. Come come on your fad
- 2:01Speaker 1: uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody. You're listening
- 2:05Speaker 1: to the voice, come on, dig me down, want and
- 2:08Speaker 1: only Steve Harvey got a radio show, man on Man
- 2:13Speaker 1: on Man. I just I have to tell you this.
- 2:21Speaker 1: How good is the God I served? How amazing is he?
- 2:27Speaker 1: That's that's all, you know? And you know what, really, man,
- 2:30Speaker 1: when I try to explain um, how I feel about
- 2:35Speaker 1: what he does for me, really, the words that I
- 2:38Speaker 1: come up with that they just they inadequate. Man, They
- 2:40Speaker 1: don't they don't cut it. They really don't. You know.
- 2:43Speaker 1: I could say amazing. At one time I even just
- 2:47Speaker 1: got that. I tried something real ignorant. One time I
- 2:49Speaker 1: just said, you know, God is just super cadual fragilistic
- 2:52Speaker 1: as be alludocious. I just tried that to see how
- 2:55Speaker 1: that felt. That's that's all the change he is with me.
- 2:57Speaker 1: I just try to because see how that felt. But
- 2:59Speaker 1: then I ain't feel right saying that, the fact that
- 3:02Speaker 1: he's amazing and awesome and he's an awesome God. You
- 3:05Speaker 1: hear people say that as it's bigger than that too, man.
- 3:09Speaker 1: So you know, as as hard as I try, no
- 3:12Speaker 1: matter what I do every day, I'm gonna come up
- 3:14Speaker 1: short with trying to explain to you exactly how he
- 3:18Speaker 1: works and how he is for me. So I just
- 3:20Speaker 1: thank him every day ever a chance I get here.
- 3:24Speaker 1: It is it is your determination and your effort. Listen
- 3:31Speaker 1: to me carefully. It is your determination and your effort.
- 3:38Speaker 1: I think that the average person, and I'm not knocking you,
- 3:43Speaker 1: I just want you to hear me out. I think
- 3:45Speaker 1: what stops the average person from becoming successful is that
- 3:49Speaker 1: we don't realize the effort that it takes. That's just truth.
- 3:55Speaker 1: I found that to be so true in my life
- 3:58Speaker 1: and my talking to people and meeting people, and people
- 4:02Speaker 1: aren't asking me questions about it, and me trying to
- 4:04Speaker 1: figure out the way myself. I don't think that you
- 4:09Speaker 1: really can comprehend the effort that it takes to become successful.
- 4:15Speaker 1: This is the thing that you have to wrap your
- 4:17Speaker 1: mind around very quickly if you want to be successful
- 4:21Speaker 1: on any level, in any area. The dream is the beginning.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Good Lord, let me tell you something. The determination and
- 4:29Speaker 1: effort is massive. You cannot be overly concerned with sleep.
- 4:37Speaker 1: If you are a person who is always concerned about sleep,
- 4:42Speaker 1: get success out your mind. A fit to happen partner
- 4:45Speaker 1: is not fit to happen. You cannot be that concerned
- 4:49Speaker 1: about sleep. Now listen to me. You have to get
- 4:52Speaker 1: your rest. But this was my philosophy. I'm just sharing
- 4:57Speaker 1: you with what how I did it. My philosophy was
- 5:02Speaker 1: I stopped being concerned about sleep. I got my rest,
- 5:07Speaker 1: but I got just enough to get back to it,
- 5:13Speaker 1: and I got back on the grind to hop into hustle.
- 5:16Speaker 1: I got just enough rest so I could go and
- 5:20Speaker 1: put forth some more effort. But listen to me. You
- 5:24Speaker 1: cannot sleep a third of your life away and expect
- 5:28Speaker 1: to become successful if you're not already successful. If you
- 5:31Speaker 1: are asleep for eight hours, that is a third of
- 5:34Speaker 1: your day, you cannot be asleep a third of your
- 5:38Speaker 1: life and expect to get successful. Not after you get successful.
- 5:43Speaker 1: You know, you learn as you go to work smarter,
- 5:47Speaker 1: not harder. So as you get successful, you may have
- 5:51Speaker 1: eight hours available to you. But on the way up there,
- 5:54Speaker 1: I don't see how you can do it, I promise you.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I don't. Now I don't. Maybe somebody can come forward.
- 5:58Speaker 1: I did it. I yeah, probably lying, But okay, tell
- 6:02Speaker 1: your story, because everybody I know that's successful that I've
- 6:07Speaker 1: sat down ahead real talks with it wasn't concerned with sleeping.
- 6:13Speaker 1: You cannot be concerned with sleeping if you want to
- 6:17Speaker 1: be successful. How how can this happen for you? Listen
- 6:21Speaker 1: to me. The effort that it requires is massive. It's
- 6:24Speaker 1: an all out of salt on your dream. Now you
- 6:27Speaker 1: got to make an assault. It's requires and all out
- 6:31Speaker 1: of salt on it. And you can't be sleeping. Fight
- 6:34Speaker 1: at the same time. You can't fight when you sleep. Man.
- 6:37Speaker 1: I wish I could get y'all understand this right here.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Understand that the effort that is required to be successful
- 6:44Speaker 1: will take everything you have, and when you think you've
- 6:48Speaker 1: given your all, it's gonna require some more. The quality
- 6:53Speaker 1: of your chill is amazing. See that's okay listening. What
- 6:58Speaker 1: is sitting around having a bill every day? Fault? What? What?
- 7:02Speaker 1: But I'm sitting down smoking weed for every day fault?
- 7:05Speaker 1: Come on, man, for real, But if you took that beer,
- 7:10Speaker 1: drinking weed smoking chill time and apply it to progressing
- 7:14Speaker 1: yourself towards your dream when you do carve out a vacation,
- 7:19Speaker 1: guess where you be able to go. Guess what part
- 7:23Speaker 1: of the world you can go. See guess how you
- 7:24Speaker 1: can chill Now Now I'm instead of you just driving
- 7:27Speaker 1: every year your family to the family union, sit at
- 7:30Speaker 1: the same picnic table. Everybody pull their money in to
- 7:33Speaker 1: ten families. Don't never pull they money in. They down
- 7:36Speaker 1: there eating like y'all eating you got attitude because the
- 7:40Speaker 1: day or they side don't ever chip in, And no
- 7:42Speaker 1: they down they eating the extra potatoes that are making place.
- 7:45Speaker 1: You're not not arguing about this every year for real? Man,
- 7:48Speaker 1: they ain't got the T shirt money. You know they
- 7:51Speaker 1: got to say a T shirt, don't. They ain't put
- 7:53Speaker 1: in that, really, man, so so so so so you
- 7:56Speaker 1: want that to be it every year? Or do you
- 7:59Speaker 1: want this year I'm taking my family to New Orleans
- 8:04Speaker 1: or I'm taking my family see the Grand Canyon. I'm
- 8:06Speaker 1: taking my family down to the beach this year, and
- 8:09Speaker 1: me and my family gonna go sight see, We're gonna
- 8:12Speaker 1: go ride cover the river on Chicago. Me and my
- 8:14Speaker 1: family gonna go skiing this year, and me and my
- 8:16Speaker 1: family going out to La Man, we're gonna're gonna go
- 8:19Speaker 1: out there for the weekend. You know, you know it
- 8:22Speaker 1: can happen like that. But if you ain't working, listen
- 8:27Speaker 1: to me. Average effort gets average results. That's that's all
- 8:35Speaker 1: it is to it. See, ordinary effort gets ordinary results.
- 8:44Speaker 1: But if you put forth an extra effort. See, the
- 8:48Speaker 1: only difference between extraordinary and ordinary is one word, that's extra.
- 8:53Speaker 1: If you do extra, you can take ordinary right on
- 8:57Speaker 1: over to extraordinary. Do you understand you have to have
- 9:00Speaker 1: a massive assault on your dreams? Quit sitting up in here, man,
- 9:04Speaker 1: trying to chill all the time. I'm sorry, man, I
- 9:06Speaker 1: wish I could tell you another way, but it ain't one.
- 9:09Speaker 1: I didn't talk to jay Z about this. I didn't
- 9:11Speaker 1: talk Samuel all about this. I didn't talked to said
- 9:14Speaker 1: about this. I didn't talk I have talked to the
- 9:17Speaker 1: President of the United States. I've had a conversation with
- 9:20Speaker 1: him about his effort. You look at this. You cannot
- 9:25Speaker 1: become successful with our effort. You cannot be concerned about sleep.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Here's what I did. Now, you can take it from me,
- 9:35Speaker 1: or you can try it your way. But when you
- 9:37Speaker 1: get through trying it, just what you're gonna have to do.
- 9:40Speaker 1: I wasn't concerned about how much sleep I got. I
- 9:44Speaker 1: just had to get my rest. And once I got
- 9:47Speaker 1: enough rest to get up and get the task done,
- 9:50Speaker 1: I got up. Somebody sent me a tweet the other day,
- 9:56Speaker 1: a partner of mine. He's someone to see if I
- 9:59Speaker 1: can pull it up while I'm talking to you. But
- 10:01Speaker 1: you just sent me a little sign. Just wasn't nothing,
- 10:04Speaker 1: just a little something to say, Hey man, I ran
- 10:06Speaker 1: across this, I thought about you, and I sent it
- 10:08Speaker 1: to you. It said no alarm clock needed, My passion
- 10:14Speaker 1: wakes me. It's in block print. He said, no alarm
- 10:20Speaker 1: clock needed, My passion wakes me. That's what you got
- 10:26Speaker 1: to be about. You gotta take that dream. You gotta
- 10:29Speaker 1: get passionate about it, and you gotta get awake, and
- 10:32Speaker 1: you got to get up and get at it, and
- 10:34Speaker 1: you got to put forth a massive assault on your dream.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Your effort has got to be extraordinary. If you put
- 10:39Speaker 1: forth extraordinary. If you put forth extra effort, you go
- 10:44Speaker 1: from ordinary to extraordinary. That's the deal. You think it's
- 10:47Speaker 1: another way, If you got another way, could you please
- 10:50Speaker 1: email it to me, Steve Harvey doctor, let me know
- 10:53Speaker 1: so I can slow down. So I don't know no
- 10:56Speaker 1: other way. All right, you're listening, ladies and gentlemen. This
- 11:04Speaker 1: is the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Again. We invite you

- 22:43Speaker 1: is you taking it through. You're gonna say, I will
- 22:47Speaker 1: just do it the way I was doing a home. No,
- 22:49Speaker 1: why didn't two means too much to you? We yield
- 22:53Speaker 1: with church complaints and here to deliver what the church
- 22:58Speaker 1: is complaining about. It's a number two you man at
- 23:00Speaker 1: the trip he welcome or death joy. Thank you so much, Pastor.
- 23:06Speaker 1: I we have an emergency prayer list right now, Pastor,
- 23:11Speaker 1: and I want you to take this the way you
- 23:14Speaker 1: want to. They want us to pray for all of
- 23:16Speaker 1: our white members who have worn black face in the past. Hi,
- 23:21Speaker 1: Governor raf North Amount of Virginia, George Baya, and mostly
- 23:25Speaker 1: everyone in Virginia. The governor is asking to moonwalk for
- 23:31Speaker 1: us at nine o'clock service next second. And I told
- 23:35Speaker 1: him I would speak to you, but he says he
- 23:37Speaker 1: wants to come in and moonwalk for the congregation. That's
- 23:41Speaker 1: up to you, passing, and if you do allow it,
- 23:44Speaker 1: I would refer refer you moon walk along with him.
- 23:49Speaker 1: I don't see him doing this by himself. Well, the
- 23:52Speaker 1: only prayer I wanted to say to all of them
- 23:56Speaker 1: members been in black faces. God, We're not about to
- 24:01Speaker 1: pray because you been out there player, because the only
- 24:07Speaker 1: thing is gonna be happening is we're gonna put our
- 24:11Speaker 1: hands on you and we're gonna call that layer a Pastor,
- 24:15Speaker 1: we have an issue here. We have an emergency prayer list.
- 24:19Speaker 1: That has been uh brought to my attention. We want
- 24:22Speaker 1: to pray for all of our white members who have
- 24:25Speaker 1: worn black face in the past. Governor North of Virginia,
- 24:32Speaker 1: George Bayer, and mostly actually everybody in Virginia. The Governor's
- 24:38Speaker 1: asking to come here to the Jack Potto Jerusal. He
- 24:41Speaker 1: wants the moonwalk for us at nine o'clock. Sarah's next sing, Yeah,
- 24:48Speaker 1: he wants the moonwalk instead of singing a song, he
- 24:51Speaker 1: wants the moonwalk. Well, we're not gonna pray because you
- 24:55Speaker 1: wants to play acting like you black. Come that us
- 25:00Speaker 1: with all that, We're not gonna have it. We're not
- 25:03Speaker 1: gonna He made a statement where he said reason he
- 25:10Speaker 1: knows he couldn't have put that shoe polish on his
- 25:13Speaker 1: face at the time was because we all know how
- 25:17Speaker 1: hard it is to get shoe polished off your face.
- 25:21Speaker 1: The hell we did that? I have no hand, No
- 25:24Speaker 1: hell when the last time you have something on you? Jay,
- 25:29Speaker 1: j Anthony Brown, call it, let's let's talk. No, well,
- 25:35Speaker 1: let's let's talk to the darker people, asked Jay, and
- 25:41Speaker 1: call end. I might be out of line I'm talking
- 25:46Speaker 1: about we all know, but we all man right now,
- 25:56Speaker 1: who ain't had no idea what it's like. Dog scared members,
- 26:01Speaker 1: please stands Robinson himself. Don't get bad if the joke
- 26:10Speaker 1: JA was a great one. I'm not I'm not mad.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Go ahead of all the people that wants to right fast.
- 26:19Speaker 1: I'm moving along, mister inappropriate. We have another issue here.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Donald Trump is asking for prayer, and I helped it
- 26:29Speaker 1: if possible. He wants to join the Jack Pott, join
- 26:31Speaker 1: up the rules and give us and he wants to
- 26:34Speaker 1: give us fifteen percent of his earnings, but only if
- 26:38Speaker 1: we build a wall around the church. He doesn't want
- 26:43Speaker 1: anybody praising in that that he hasn't approved, So he
- 26:45Speaker 1: wants to build a whall. But I think you should
- 26:47Speaker 1: think about it because the man didn't say fifteen percent. Man, well,
- 26:51Speaker 1: gonna be hard for us to determine what fifteen percent
- 26:54Speaker 1: is when we ain't see no tax return, so he
- 26:58Speaker 1: could be if he ain'tbody no tax we are you
- 27:00Speaker 1: gonna give a fifteen percent up? See right there? And
- 27:03Speaker 1: the ain't no wall going around this hit church. Point
- 27:10Speaker 1: percent of our congregation is Mexican. That's right now. You
- 27:15Speaker 1: come over here with the wall if you want to,
- 27:18Speaker 1: you m rug get your ass will, that's okay, you're
- 27:24Speaker 1: not service share like this is this is this is
- 27:27Speaker 1: A Mexican said, okay, well, if you build a wall
- 27:37Speaker 1: around here, you're gonna get your class. Whill. Here's another issue,
- 27:46Speaker 1: pass to the the cordage be praised. Dancers would like
- 27:50Speaker 1: to do the same routine she did last night at
- 27:53Speaker 1: the Grammage, and they would like to do that next
- 27:55Speaker 1: Sunday during the Love mcclock service. That's your call. Pass.
- 27:58Speaker 1: I didn't see it, but they're more than Lord pastor there.
- 28:03Speaker 1: They are more than welcome as long as you call
- 28:06Speaker 1: it praise dancing. We can't stop. Let the Lord use
- 28:10Speaker 1: you and letn't move you. Uh good God, I'm not it. Card.
- 28:19Speaker 1: I'm so I got care away when I think about it,
- 28:23Speaker 1: not past it. We have an issue. It is February
- 28:30Speaker 1: the leaven and the church still has Christmas lights up.
- 28:36Speaker 1: Somebody hit the round switch yesterday in Santa Claus and
- 28:39Speaker 1: then raindeers ran across the roof. We're gonna have to
- 28:41Speaker 1: do something about it. We actually gonna leave them lights up,
- 28:45Speaker 1: because oh we are. They stole two camels last year
- 28:52Speaker 1: from the Nativity scene and half the straw, and so
- 28:57Speaker 1: we was gonna leave up the Christmas lights just confused
- 29:00Speaker 1: people as they was going by. So little chrystals, little
- 29:05Speaker 1: East you know, born and died. Gonna just blend them together,
- 29:09Speaker 1: put it out together and make it work. For it all,
- 29:12Speaker 1: you know, because if you believe he died, you want
- 29:14Speaker 1: to believe he rolls again. And if he rolled again
- 29:17Speaker 1: and he had to have already had died, come on,
- 29:19Speaker 1: we're gonna come tie the two. He still crystals, gonna
- 29:23Speaker 1: be together for this you so little crystal lights and stayed,
- 29:26Speaker 1: or you can't believe in the rest of wreck. Let
- 29:28Speaker 1: you believe he died. Come on, come on, you can't.
- 29:33Speaker 1: You can't say you got up if you ain't ever
- 29:36Speaker 1: been dyed. Come on now, you can't save. You can squeal.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Let you been pushed, then come on here. You can't
- 29:45Speaker 1: say that. You can sing if you ain't saying nowhere
- 29:49Speaker 1: but at your mama's house. You can't know what you
- 29:56Speaker 1: don't know. You can't be. He's something you ain't never
- 30:01Speaker 1: try to be. Before left, people start calling out your name,
- 30:05Speaker 1: your black bath. You can be something. You can have
- 30:09Speaker 1: a daddy. If somebody can call your black bath, what mann?
- 30:15Speaker 1: Take man, hey man, man past were gonna have to
- 30:23Speaker 1: get to you the topta go ahead, Tyr brother Logan.
- 30:29Speaker 1: Just wait on Saint Patty's Day, He's gonna be the
- 30:31Speaker 1: left call. All right, guys, coming up at the top
- 30:35Speaker 1: of the hour entertainment news, and we'll have an update
- 30:38Speaker 1: on national news with miss Anne Trip. That's all coming
- 30:40Speaker 1: up right after this you're listening show. All right. This
- 30:47Speaker 1: has been trending guys on social media all weekend and
- 30:50Speaker 1: part of last week as well. We talked about it
- 30:52Speaker 1: on Friday. Remember, Gucci, the Gucci brand is in hot
- 30:56Speaker 1: water right now, and after it received the backlash over
- 30:59Speaker 1: a sweater that seemed to resemble black face. You know,
- 31:02Speaker 1: it was kind of a turtleneck sweater that went over
- 31:05Speaker 1: the mouth and part of the face. It was outlined
- 31:07Speaker 1: in the red lips. Yeah, and as we kept this
- 31:11Speaker 1: sort of thing is becoming an all too popular occurrence. Now,
- 31:14Speaker 1: Gucci has sensed, apologized and remove the sweater from its
- 31:17Speaker 1: stores and the website. It issued a statement, Gucci deeply
- 31:21Speaker 1: apologizes for the offense caused by the woold jumper. We
- 31:25Speaker 1: consider diversity to be a fundamental value to be fully upheld, respected,
- 31:29Speaker 1: and at the forefront of every decision we make. Really Okay,
- 31:34Speaker 1: They're certainly not the first clothing brand to create and
- 31:37Speaker 1: sell products that could be interpreted as racist. If you
- 31:41Speaker 1: remember back a year ago January of last year, to
- 31:44Speaker 1: be exact, H and M stores featured a black kid,
- 31:48Speaker 1: little black boy on its website wearing a sweatshirt with
- 31:51Speaker 1: the words coolest monkey in the Jungle. Haven't been in
- 31:54Speaker 1: that store since I remember that? Yeah, well, yeah, remember that? Okay.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Then just in December, Prada luxury line, Prada pulled out
- 32:05Speaker 1: a line of accessories that resembled a black Sambo character. Yeah,
- 32:10Speaker 1: they issued an apology. Yeah, that was blatant to me.
- 32:14Speaker 1: That sambo. Yeah, there used to be restaurants in that
- 32:18Speaker 1: lake called Sambo Sambos. Oh dog Dog all across the
- 32:22Speaker 1: South had a little black face on it too. Yeah yeah,
- 32:27Speaker 1: all right, So I mean, I don't know what's happening here. Well,
- 32:32Speaker 1: you know, I saw a Gucci sweater. I've seen it before,
- 32:35Speaker 1: and when I saw it, I didn't pay it no attention.
- 32:38Speaker 1: You know, when I saw it, I didn't pay it
- 32:40Speaker 1: any attention. But I guess when you see it now,
- 32:43Speaker 1: and if they say that it looks like that, you know,
- 32:46Speaker 1: I mean, I saw on Nick Cannon's Instagram he said
- 32:49Speaker 1: happy black Face History Month on the calendar. I mean
- 32:53Speaker 1: just in reference to all the stuff that's going on
- 32:55Speaker 1: now with black face. You know what is going on here,
- 32:58Speaker 1: and this is Black History Month, but it's still it's
- 33:01Speaker 1: still going on at the colleges and stuff like that.
- 33:03Speaker 1: And they've been doing this for long yeah, yeah, stuff. Yeah,
- 33:07Speaker 1: And that's not good enough for Tim. He took to
- 33:11Speaker 1: social media as well. He's demanding that African Americans boycott Gucci,
- 33:16Speaker 1: and he posted an apology. Is cool, but it's just
- 33:19Speaker 1: not enough. The disrespect will not be tolerated. That's what
- 33:22Speaker 1: um Ti put out on his Instagram. And now, according
- 33:25Speaker 1: to a Nielsen publication from September of last year, we
- 33:29Speaker 1: know what our buying power is as African Americans. We
- 33:33Speaker 1: know that we spend a lot of money on labels.
- 33:35Speaker 1: We love labels, We spend a lot of money on everything.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Our buying power is at one point three trillion, with
- 33:42Speaker 1: a tr trillion currently and is based on gains in population, income,
- 33:48Speaker 1: and education. It's estimated to rise to one point five
- 33:51Speaker 1: four trillion by the year twenty twenty two. So that's
- 33:55Speaker 1: a problem here. Well, here's what I'm going to say.
- 33:58Speaker 1: If if we are going to have a boycott, it
- 34:01Speaker 1: has to be a formulated boycott by a consistus of
- 34:05Speaker 1: quite a few people, because what ends up happening is,
- 34:10Speaker 1: you know, we have these things that everybody's supposed to
- 34:14Speaker 1: line up with, and everybody is not aware of it.
- 34:17Speaker 1: So if it's going to be a boycott, it has
- 34:19Speaker 1: to be a concerted effort by a massive number of
- 34:21Speaker 1: people for a boycott to be successful, because what happens
- 34:25Speaker 1: is one or two people cry for a boycott, then
- 34:27Speaker 1: they see you, then here they come slamming you, and
- 34:30Speaker 1: everybody don't know. So it has to be a general consensus.
- 34:33Speaker 1: I feel for it to be a boycott, we'll get
- 34:36Speaker 1: the word he wants to hit him in the pocket
- 34:37Speaker 1: because we spend so much money it too. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 34:43Speaker 1: all right, all right, so there you have it, all right, Steve,
- 34:47Speaker 1: it's time to go to news. Now, ladies and gentlemen,
- 34:49Speaker 1: Miss Anne Tripp and good morning everybody. Here we are
- 34:54Speaker 1: this is a trip with the news. Well, Governor Ralph Northam,
- 34:57Speaker 1: Attorney General Marca. This is of course the Governor of
- 35:00Speaker 1: New Jersey. Governor Ralph Northam, Attorney General Mark Harrying, both
- 35:05Speaker 1: accused of dressing up in blackface, as you know. Meanwhile,
- 35:07Speaker 1: Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax continues to deny accusations by now
- 35:11Speaker 1: two women of sexual assault. Virginia Delicate. Patrick Hope says
- 35:15Speaker 1: he intends to follow resolution today listing the reasons he
- 35:19Speaker 1: feels that the Lieutenant Governor's alleged conduct Larrant's impeachment. The
- 35:23Speaker 1: resolution would be the first step the impeachment process begins
- 35:26Speaker 1: in the state House, and if it passes with a
- 35:28Speaker 1: majority voted, then moves to the Virginia Senate, where a
- 35:31Speaker 1: trial would be held to determine if Fairfax will be removed. Now,
- 35:34Speaker 1: the Lieutenant Governor thinks this is all a setup. He
- 35:37Speaker 1: thinks it's really convenient now that he might actually become
- 35:39Speaker 1: the governor of Virginia, so he wants the FBI to
- 35:42Speaker 1: actually investigate and see what's going on here. Meanwhile, all
- 35:45Speaker 1: three leaders of the state of Virginia staying pat right now,
- 35:48Speaker 1: refusing to resign their positions despite being embroiled in blackface
- 35:53Speaker 1: and in sex scandals which I just told you about.
- 35:56Speaker 1: One more Democrat is announced the presidential run, this time
- 36:00Speaker 1: Minnesota Senator Amy Clobcher. We are tired of the shutdowns,
- 36:04Speaker 1: in the showdowns, of the gridlock, and the grand standing.
- 36:09Speaker 1: Today we say enough is enough. Santa Clobchure becomes the
- 36:15Speaker 1: fifth Democratic Senator to throw her hat into the ring.
- 36:18Speaker 1: The fifty eight year old moderate Democrat was elected as
- 36:20Speaker 1: her state's first female senator in two thousand and six,
- 36:23Speaker 1: the very first one, and she's been easily reelected ever since.
- 36:27Speaker 1: The New week starting out not so good news. Negotiations
- 36:30Speaker 1: to stave off another government shutdown said to have stalled,
- 36:33Speaker 1: at least for now. And yes, the issue was born
- 36:35Speaker 1: to security and how the US should handle people who
- 36:39Speaker 1: want to enter this country. If no deal is reached
- 36:41Speaker 1: by midnight Friday this Friday, the government could shut down again,
- 36:45Speaker 1: only three weeks after the longest US governments shut down
- 36:48Speaker 1: in history, and apparently the White House says it is
- 36:50Speaker 1: not ruling that out. Get this. An investigation to southern
- 36:54Speaker 1: Baptist churches, especially in Texas and elsewhere across the country,
- 36:59Speaker 1: has apparently turned up widespread sexual abuse. Reporters from Houston
- 37:03Speaker 1: Chronicle and the San Antonio Express News say they found
- 37:06Speaker 1: over the last twenty years, some three hundred and seventy
- 37:09Speaker 1: people who either worked or volunteered at Southern Baptist churches
- 37:13Speaker 1: have faced credible allegations of sexual misconduct. Those accused included
- 37:18Speaker 1: Sunday school teachers, youth passengers at pastors rather and ministers,
- 37:23Speaker 1: and the adjoint prove also found there had been about
- 37:26Speaker 1: seven hundred alleged victims and that Texas had more cases
- 37:29Speaker 1: than any other state. At the weekend box office, the
- 37:31Speaker 1: big one was the Lego movie number two, and of
- 37:34Speaker 1: course Tarativ Henson's came in second. This has been an trip.
- 37:37Speaker 1: Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening
- 37:40Speaker 1: to the String Show. Our Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts
- 37:45Speaker 1: formally announced she then, guys, she formally announced her twenty
- 37:50Speaker 1: twenty presidential bid on Saturday. She's calling for fundamental change
- 37:54Speaker 1: on behalf of working people and arguing that President Trump
- 37:57Speaker 1: is just the latest and most extreme symptom of what's
- 38:01Speaker 1: gone wrong in America. Well, it didn't take Trump long.
- 38:05Speaker 1: It didn't take him long. You know how he is
- 38:07Speaker 1: with Twitter, right with his tweets. It didn't take him
- 38:10Speaker 1: long to strike back at Elizabeth Warren. Following her announcement.
- 38:14Speaker 1: President Trump tweeted today, Elizabeth Warren, sometimes referred to by
- 38:18Speaker 1: me as pocahannas, joined the race for president. Will she
- 38:22Speaker 1: run as our first Native American presidential candidate? Or has
- 38:26Speaker 1: she decided that after thirty two years, this is not
- 38:29Speaker 1: playing so well anymore? See you on the campaign trail, Liz, Wow,
- 38:34Speaker 1: I told you you said that as soon as I
- 38:40Speaker 1: just want the Democrats to pick the two candidates that
- 38:45Speaker 1: they think had the greatest chance of winning, and let's go.
- 38:49Speaker 1: Because all these people getting in, I'm just telling you
- 38:51Speaker 1: flat out, it's some mistake. It's going to create a
- 38:54Speaker 1: lot of confusion the hour primaries and all these primaries
- 38:58Speaker 1: will start weeding people out because won't get money and votes.
- 39:01Speaker 1: But it's it's already too crowded and sad to say
- 39:06Speaker 1: Elizabeth Warren is a casualty already. Well, I mean, yeah,
- 39:10Speaker 1: it's they're gonna ride her out to Jim Nay. I'm
- 39:14Speaker 1: just gonna be ready, They're gonna ride her out to
- 39:16Speaker 1: out there. Yeah, they're gonna show the video of her
- 39:19Speaker 1: drinking the bill, how crazy it had a little well,
- 39:23Speaker 1: let's see, let's see, let's just see, sir, h Yes,
- 39:27Speaker 1: I'm not but one vote, and my job is to
- 39:30Speaker 1: get everybody to the polls to vote. But when you
- 39:33Speaker 1: take your one vote, we won't out vote to count. Well,
- 39:37Speaker 1: it's not even time to vote. It's not looking like yourself.
- 39:42Speaker 1: I'm I'm already and educated. And stop saying your Native
- 39:45Speaker 1: American and you ain't you about that, always trying to
- 39:51Speaker 1: get something that you ain't. You know, you ain't want to.
- 39:54Speaker 1: You ain't lived today as a Native American at all.
- 39:58Speaker 1: That's like that lady that was at Black panth and
- 40:00Speaker 1: all that wan't to be black. You ain't been a
- 40:02Speaker 1: day black. Rachel. Yeah, I don't know how hard this is, man,
- 40:05Speaker 1: You playing with this this crazy? Yeah? Well, I mean
- 40:08Speaker 1: you're right though. The race is crowded. It's very crowded.
- 40:11Speaker 1: Corey Booker, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, so many people, Um,
- 40:16Speaker 1: Julian Castro. Yeah, it's crowded right now. It might get
- 40:21Speaker 1: even more crowded. So there are some people that are
- 40:23Speaker 1: still considering a bid for the presidency, and they're all
- 40:27Speaker 1: within their rights. But it'll start weeding out as we,
- 40:30Speaker 1: you know, move towards the primaries and stuff. Steve for sure,
- 40:34Speaker 1: what we need to do it now Russians America. Everybody.
- 40:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you who ain't gonna win in there? Who?
- 40:44Speaker 1: That other lady ain't gonna win either. I don't even
- 40:46Speaker 1: know how, No, Kirsten, all right, look we gotta um,
- 40:49Speaker 1: we gotta go. Coming up at thirty four after the hour,
- 40:51Speaker 1: Ja Anthony Brown is here. We're gonna play a little
- 40:53Speaker 1: comedy roulette. So get ready, Steve. We'll do it right
- 40:56Speaker 1: after this. You're listening show, all right, Jay, please, it's
- 41:04Speaker 1: time for comedy Roulette. Set it up for us quickly, please,
- 41:08Speaker 1: very simple, very simple, very simple. Since we have four
- 41:11Speaker 1: comedians on the show for very great, outstanding comedians who
- 41:16Speaker 1: can go out by themselves, make money, do stand up
- 41:19Speaker 1: in front of a live audience and kill it, kill
- 41:22Speaker 1: the game, because that's what they do, kill it. Kill
- 41:25Speaker 1: comedians to okay, subject comedian folk great comedian, I say
- 41:35Speaker 1: we got folk commedian too, great, Well, I plan on
- 41:38Speaker 1: being great. That's your ass up, Jay, fight no one joke.
- 41:52Speaker 1: They couldn't wait this night. Now you're working on off
- 41:57Speaker 1: great year, Joe. Yeah, all right, guys, let's go come on,
- 42:04Speaker 1: come on, all right, Uh you're ready. Here's a list
- 42:07Speaker 1: of what's happened to me, he say, I know, Tommy,
- 42:09Speaker 1: don't say anything almost the rockhead you and you holler,

- 42:32Speaker 1: Number three, Number three, Yeah, things you say when you

- 42:59Speaker 1: you don't get a Valentine's gift. Boom, let's go, Jake, Okay,
- 43:05Speaker 1: here we go. He must be working and got and forgot.
- 43:10Speaker 1: That's what it is. He Oh oh, so this is
- 43:14Speaker 1: the woman making excuses for him. Man oh I see,
- 43:21Speaker 1: Oh that's it. That's it, the beginning of something. All right,
- 43:29Speaker 1: all right, come on, tell me things you say when
- 43:31Speaker 1: you don't get a Valentine's gift. You know what, my religion,
- 43:34Speaker 1: we don't celebrate Valentine. That's the only reason why he
- 43:37Speaker 1: didn't get me. That's the only reason. It's just Tier
- 43:46Speaker 1: forty five. It's still Valentine. Okay, Then you say, when
- 43:53Speaker 1: you don't get a Valentine, get what it is. He
- 43:56Speaker 1: did a real good Christmas for me, so I ain't
- 43:58Speaker 1: got He can't win it on Christmas, so I'm good. Well,
- 44:08Speaker 1: uh huh. I spoke to my doctor. Yeah, my eyes
- 44:12Speaker 1: report came back. I'm allergic to chocolate. I can't believe. Yeah,
- 44:23Speaker 1: what you got? What you got? Now, let's just say
- 44:26Speaker 1: he won't be seeing me naked for the next six months.
- 44:29Speaker 1: Let's just go on and say that. Things you say
- 44:34Speaker 1: when you don't get a Valentine's Day gift, Steve, I'm
- 44:37Speaker 1: an aka were all like red d right now? Yeah,
- 44:47Speaker 1: I think you saying you don't get it? Do you
- 44:50Speaker 1: know them big teddy bears scare me? So I don't
- 44:53Speaker 1: want one. I'll tell you why I don't have valatized
- 44:59Speaker 1: day yere right now, his kids come first, Okay, this
- 45:03Speaker 1: kid's got to get then me. You know what it is?
- 45:10Speaker 1: You know what it is what we had. What it
- 45:14Speaker 1: is is the flywers we had at the funeral. He
- 45:18Speaker 1: know I don't want to see no more flowers right now.
- 45:20Speaker 1: He knows that's the reason why he ain't. Yeh, close
- 45:30Speaker 1: it out, Steve. Things you say when you don't get
- 45:32Speaker 1: a Valentine's kid, Well, you know all the wars he got.
- 45:36Speaker 1: He got his days mixed up. All right, we're gonna
- 45:50Speaker 1: switch gears here and go to the nephew's prank phone
- 45:52Speaker 1: call that's coming up right after this. You're listening to
- 45:56Speaker 1: show coming up in the town. But the hour, guys,
- 46:01Speaker 1: well about four minutes after anyway, it's today's Strawberry Letters.
- 46:04Speaker 1: Subject listen, if you lost your underwear, please call me.
- 46:08Speaker 1: That is the sub. If you lost your underwear, please
- 46:12Speaker 1: call me. But I've been that night. I ain't gonna
- 46:15Speaker 1: I've been. But did you want to say that? Though?
- 46:21Speaker 1: Right now? Backwards? Um, see what happened? But have you
- 46:25Speaker 1: ever came home? Though? But just one league in your
- 46:28Speaker 1: draw was piled up in your zipple. You didn't know
- 46:33Speaker 1: how he explain you just got one leg and why
- 46:37Speaker 1: you got pennies in your pocket? See, you ain't believe

- 46:45Speaker 1: is here with the prank phone call for today. Let's
- 46:47Speaker 1: go nap. What you got brand spanking news Shirley, tell
- 46:51Speaker 1: you mama to pump up breaks. What hey, your mama,
- 46:56Speaker 1: the pump up breaks Mama? Yeah, yeah, here your mama.
- 47:01Speaker 1: I'm a pump up breaks. Hello. Hello, I'm trying to
- 47:07Speaker 1: reach Natalie. Please yeah us Natalie, Natalie. How you doing?
- 47:12Speaker 1: My name is Darren. I'm with the Homeowners Association. Oh okay, hey,
- 47:17Speaker 1: dare how you doing? Listen? Um, we got a we
- 47:22Speaker 1: got a bit of a problem, if you don't mind
- 47:24Speaker 1: me asking, who's who who actually brings your kids home
- 47:28Speaker 1: from school? Uh? Each day? Oh, my mom gets my
- 47:33Speaker 1: kids for me and she drops them off. Okay, okay, okay,
- 47:38Speaker 1: Well we have a we have a bit of a problem.
- 47:41Speaker 1: The kids are fine. There's there's no issue with the
- 47:43Speaker 1: kids at all. But you know, we've had a meeting
- 47:46Speaker 1: here at the HLA. We've been getting some complaints. Uh
- 47:50Speaker 1: it seems like your mother is is uh really speeding
- 47:55Speaker 1: down the street real fast, and you know everyone's complaining
- 48:00Speaker 1: around it that you know, it's a lot of kids
- 48:02Speaker 1: walking home from school. And it seems like your mom
- 48:04Speaker 1: is driving real fast when she's coming down the street
- 48:08Speaker 1: to drop your kids off. If you know anything about this,
- 48:12Speaker 1: uh no, not at all. That doesn't even sound like her. Okay,
- 48:17Speaker 1: what type of card? Uh let me ask you this, Natalie,
- 48:22Speaker 1: We're we're we From what I understand, it is a
- 48:26Speaker 1: what kind of car does your mom had? Is a
- 48:29Speaker 1: board escape or something like that? From a little suv?
- 48:32Speaker 1: Does that what your mom has? Yeah? She has a
- 48:35Speaker 1: little red stuv. Okay, all right, So the problem is
- 48:42Speaker 1: that that that's the same car. That's the one we're
- 48:44Speaker 1: talking about. And it seems like, you know, your mother
- 48:47Speaker 1: is is flying down the street and she drops the
- 48:50Speaker 1: kids off, and when she leaves, she's flying back out
- 48:52Speaker 1: of the neighborhood. And a couple of times some of
- 48:55Speaker 1: the neighbors have told her to slow down, and you know,
- 48:58Speaker 1: I don't know if she's played them all for set
- 49:00Speaker 1: something out the window, you know, but you know, this
- 49:03Speaker 1: is stuff that we just cannot tolerate. Huh. Well, it
- 49:09Speaker 1: really doesn't sound like my mom. But you know, okay,
- 49:12Speaker 1: you know what, Natalie, what we're not gonna do is
- 49:15Speaker 1: what you're not gonna do is act like, it's not
- 49:16Speaker 1: your mamma. It's your mother that's doing this. So what
- 49:19Speaker 1: we need you to do is tell your mama to
- 49:21Speaker 1: slow up down so we don't ask problem, all right,
- 49:25Speaker 1: because I tried to be nice with you at first.
- 49:27Speaker 1: But if you're gonna be a denial figured it's not
- 49:29Speaker 1: your mamma, then we got issue. First of all, daring
- 49:34Speaker 1: from h O A. I need you to watch your
- 49:37Speaker 1: charls and who you're talking to, all right. I need
- 49:40Speaker 1: you to climb that all the way down. All right,
- 49:44Speaker 1: you need to slow your damn mama down. That's what
- 49:47Speaker 1: you need to do. Slow your mama down. The way
- 49:49Speaker 1: she's driving. To do is standing in the middle of
- 49:52Speaker 1: the street. Is she flying down and so hopefully she
- 49:54Speaker 1: can knock you out the way. Okay, don't talk to
- 49:57Speaker 1: me like that. You're being ruined, disrespectful. I don't ask
- 50:00Speaker 1: her if this her because I don't think it's her.
- 50:02Speaker 1: But you're not gonna talk to me like that, Okay,
- 50:05Speaker 1: So your mama can just drive down the streets and
- 50:07Speaker 1: after damn what you want to do. My IAmA could
- 50:10Speaker 1: do whatever she wanted to do. She'll grow on as drum.
- 50:13Speaker 1: She can't do it. In the neighborhood that I'm a
- 50:15Speaker 1: member of the h O and she can't do it there. Okay,
- 50:19Speaker 1: I don't mind ever your mama arrested with your kids
- 50:22Speaker 1: in the car. If I got to, I wish you would.
- 50:25Speaker 1: I wish you would have my mama arrested with my
- 50:28Speaker 1: kids in the car. You're gonna have more problems than
- 50:30Speaker 1: you ever had. Okay, you bet not have my mama arrested.
- 50:35Speaker 1: You're gonna get arrested and you're gonna be sent to
- 50:37Speaker 1: the hospital. How about that. Okay, let me tell yourself.
- 50:41Speaker 1: Tell your mama so slow her down in the streets.
- 50:44Speaker 1: This the last one, and I'm giving y'all this the
- 50:47Speaker 1: last one. Well, you know what I'm say. You ain't
- 50:50Speaker 1: got to get no one. It's okay. We can have
- 50:52Speaker 1: a real conversation about it. We can meet and talk
- 50:55Speaker 1: about it, because she ain't gonna talk to me like that,
- 50:57Speaker 1: and you and I ain't telling my mama nothing. I
- 50:59Speaker 1: ain't tell that a small own thing about that. What
- 51:01Speaker 1: you're gonna do? What's your mom do there? Not that?
- 51:04Speaker 1: Let's meet about it. I'm not bringing my husband too.
- 51:07Speaker 1: Says you got so much to say, you don't say
- 51:09Speaker 1: that I don't want you to kiss that same energy. Okay,
- 51:12Speaker 1: with my husband, I want you to talk to him
- 51:14Speaker 1: like you talking to me. I literally tell you something.
- 51:17Speaker 1: I don't worry about your husband and none of that.
- 51:20Speaker 1: All right, I'm gonna say I'm gonna say this right here.
- 51:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna say this right here. Tommy is the one
- 51:25Speaker 1: that told us that your mama was speaking down the street.
- 51:27Speaker 1: Commedy one said it, Tommy put it on every Timmy.
- 51:32Speaker 1: Tommy said your mamma was the one running up and
- 51:36Speaker 1: down the street fast, going far to pick the mile
- 51:38Speaker 1: and out. Commedy one said that, I don't know who
- 51:41Speaker 1: Tommy shoes, but Tommy can kiss my. You can kiss my,
- 51:45Speaker 1: and any other neighbors who got something to say about
- 51:48Speaker 1: my mama can kiss my. Not about that. You gonna
- 51:51Speaker 1: shoot it? Let me and shoot it, do you? Little

- 55:35Speaker 1: the house just on one leg, but below my leaf
- 55:40Speaker 1: and all the draws was in one past league. All right,
- 55:46Speaker 1: there's Steven Shirley. Here we go. I am a married
- 55:49Speaker 1: man that drives part time as a lift Flash Uber
- 55:52Speaker 1: driver for extra income for my No you ain't, no, no,
- 55:56Speaker 1: you ain't both now wait, yeah, that's what you can do. Well,
- 56:04Speaker 1: he's both okay. Anyway, he's he part time drives for
- 56:11Speaker 1: Lifting Uber for extra income for his family. So last
- 56:14Speaker 1: week he got on late. I'll get Uber and I
- 56:16Speaker 1: don't like my drive and I call lifting. Hear his
- 56:18Speaker 1: ass come back around the corner. Would you get let
- 56:22Speaker 1: me kiss through this letter? Honey? All right? Last week
- 56:26Speaker 1: I got home late one evening after working my part
- 56:29Speaker 1: time job, and I decided to take my wife and
- 56:31Speaker 1: two year old out to dinner. As my wife was
- 56:34Speaker 1: securing our child in the car seat, she yelled out,
- 56:38Speaker 1: what the heck is this? I immediately what the hell
- 56:43Speaker 1: is this? That's what it says. I immediately turned around
- 56:47Speaker 1: in my seat and I see my wife pinching a
- 56:49Speaker 1: huge pair of Ladies panties by the corners. Not only
- 56:54Speaker 1: were there some random panties on my back seat, there
- 56:57Speaker 1: were several sizes larger than what my wife wears. My
- 57:01Speaker 1: wife was yelling and screaming, accusing me of messing around
- 57:04Speaker 1: with a big girl in the back seat of our car.
- 57:07Speaker 1: First off, let me say that I don't have anything
- 57:10Speaker 1: against full figured women, but that's not my thing. And secondly,
- 57:13Speaker 1: by the size of those panties, there is no way
- 57:17Speaker 1: I could have been getting it on in the back
- 57:19Speaker 1: seat of my compact car with a girl that size.
- 57:22Speaker 1: My wife refuses to believe that a random overlift passenger
- 57:26Speaker 1: would mistakenly leave her panties behind in my car. And now,
- 57:31Speaker 1: whenever I'm out working as a driver, my wife keeps
- 57:36Speaker 1: close tabs on me, and it's wearing me down. If
- 57:39Speaker 1: there is a big girl missing some panties, please come
- 57:42Speaker 1: forth so my wife can get off my back. What
- 57:44Speaker 1: should I do? How can I get my wife to chill?
- 57:47Speaker 1: Please help? Well, first of all, if someone left their
- 57:50Speaker 1: panties in your back seat, they're not gonna call you.
- 57:52Speaker 1: They're not gonna do any of that, especially you know,
- 57:57Speaker 1: to get you out of trouble. If anything, they left
- 57:59Speaker 1: them to get you in some trouble, all right, but
- 58:02Speaker 1: not to get you out of trouble. And how do
- 58:04Speaker 1: you get your wife to chill? Well, that's a big one.
- 58:06Speaker 1: Please help, you say, I just got to ask you,
- 58:09Speaker 1: are you for real? With this letter? I can't even
- 58:11Speaker 1: believe that this really happened. And as a wife myself,
- 58:14Speaker 1: do you honestly know how hard this is for a
- 58:17Speaker 1: wife to believe she finds some panties on your back seat. Yes,
- 58:20Speaker 1: she's going to react just like your wife did, Just
- 58:24Speaker 1: like your wife did, yelling, screaming, going in all of
- 58:26Speaker 1: that hollering everything. Forget taking them out to dinner, because
- 58:31Speaker 1: she's probably not gonna want to go now she's so mad.
- 58:34Speaker 1: Panties in the back seat. It's just too hard to believe,
- 58:37Speaker 1: you know, It's just wrong on so many levels. So
- 58:42Speaker 1: from now on. You have to check your seat every
- 58:45Speaker 1: time a passenger gets out. That's for the future, but
- 58:48Speaker 1: you're in it now. You're gonna have to bank on
- 58:51Speaker 1: every good and wonderful thing you've ever ever done for
- 58:55Speaker 1: your wife as a husband. I mean, you know the
- 58:58Speaker 1: fact that you're a good dad. You've got to win
- 59:01Speaker 1: her over again. You've got to make her believe that
- 59:03Speaker 1: you're telling the truth. How are you gonna do that,
- 59:06Speaker 1: I don't know, but she has to know that there's
- 59:09Speaker 1: some good in you, or else she wouldn't still be
- 59:11Speaker 1: married to you, and and you wouldn't be you know,
- 59:13Speaker 1: you got to tell her, for instance, that remind her
- 59:16Speaker 1: that she's that you're a good man, that she's married
- 59:18Speaker 1: to a good man. You're holding down two jobs, all right,
- 59:21Speaker 1: so you can take care of your wife and child.
- 59:24Speaker 1: You're making time for them even after your second job.
- 59:27Speaker 1: You're taking them out to dinner, not just your wife
- 59:30Speaker 1: but your child. You're a family man. You got to
- 59:32Speaker 1: remind her of all that stuff and hopefully, maybe I
- 59:35Speaker 1: don't know, that'll explain away or win some of the
- 59:39Speaker 1: trust back for those big panties that were left in
- 59:42Speaker 1: your back seat. But good luck, though, good luck because
- 59:45Speaker 1: I don't know. It's gonna take a lot. It's gonna
- 59:47Speaker 1: take a lot. This is hard, and this is not
- 59:49Speaker 1: even your fault. You're a victim of circumstance. Here I
- 59:52Speaker 1: feel for you, my brother Steve. I don't know how
- 59:56Speaker 1: to approach this letter. Poe guy lift uber drivel, trying
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: to hustle up extra money for his family, got in
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: late one evening from your job and you're gonna take
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: your wife in your two year old out to dinner.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: And your wife is back there putting the baby in
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: the car seat. She shared, what the hell is this
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: and what happened? I immediately turned around in my seat
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: and see my wife pinchion a huge pair of Ladies
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: panties by the corners, not only wearing some random panties
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: in my back seat, they were several sizes larger than
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: what my wife wear. All right, now we got a problem.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: So now she's accusing you of messing around with somebody
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: in the back seat. Now he wants to clearify that
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: he don't have nothing against four figured women, but that's
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: not my thing. And secondly, by the size of them draws,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: there's no way I could have been getting it on
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: in the back seat of a compact car with a
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: girl outside. Let's talk about the draws for a minute,
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: because this could be out. See the thing that got
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: you in, it's the same thing that can get you out.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: Oh see, you let her bring a false accusation against
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: you that you had something to do with them draws.

- 1:20:41Speaker 1: she was on Love and hip Hop. Oh yeah, yep,
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: that's where she came from. And uh yeah, she put
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: out that song, Bodak Yellow, and the album after that,
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: had the Baby, got married or got married, had the baby?
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: All of that, I mean, just a phenomenal year for her.
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: Congratulates Cardi B. I don't know anything. I think I'm
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: doing it right. And then they had Little John Too
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: saying yeah, yeah, okay, yeah you almost money, Little John
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: saying that I've been saying, yeah, my whole life ain't produced. Yeah,
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: it's the way he says it. Yeah, and we first
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: heard him say it, and what us your song? Right? Yeah, Yeah,
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: I like that big hat. Um what's your name? Halo? That? Yeah,
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: that had you at the church and nobody behind you
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: get saying. I think I can't say nothing because they
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: were Yeah, that's like a first lady hat. It really is. Yeah,
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: it was beautiful. She looked great. All right, Anything else
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: you guys want to talk about? Yea Cardi B that's
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: all you're gonna say. You're trying to get a commercial
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: to im working. Call call Pepsi. PEPSI call him? Is yeah,
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: cheaper than his y know, it is a lot cheaper.
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: What are you doing, Steve? You're so quiet right now.
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: I'm just listening to these foods. Yeah, you sounds more
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: like that was for you. Yeah, it sounds more like
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: I don't do Little John. I do love you know,
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: just Junior, can you do me real quick? Lord? And
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: maybe maybe PEPSI will call you, Steve. I want you
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: to do Junior Tommy than me. I think he should
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: let Junior do Tommy. No Tommy, he doesn't get Timmy
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: to Yeah, let me let me see mommy body perfect, nailed, nailed,
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: top top top of the morning, y'all. Okay, that was good.
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: Is not gonna know where clothes. Mine is not gonna
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: be nowhere close. Everybody that you do, their voices and
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: higher than yours. Have you noticed that? Yeah? What they
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: are you know uses hide in yours. Yeah though, huh
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: what he No, No, y'all didn't fight for one sec
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: the nephew. This is what I do right here? This
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: is right? He all like, no, pranking is me? I'm
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: is pranking. I don't know what that is is. Hey, man,
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: can I ask y'all the question about the Grammy's last night? Huh?
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: Who was the dude with the tattoos on his first malone?
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: That's that's post malone, Steve. He's a rapper. He's a
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: really good rapper. He's a singer. He's he's a talented artist.
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: That's post He's a singer and he plays a folk
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: good time. Huh, that's post malone. He is tattoos all
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: over his face. He's his face is all tatted up,
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: like we always say when he gets at some point,
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: did tattoo? Man goes, Okay, I can't. I can't not
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: if they're paying. But yeah, he's big in the music business.
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: Right now, we got coming up more Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: Right after this you're listening to show. All right, Steve,
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: here's a crazy, weird, crazy story for you. This is
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: true though. We all know that many New Orleans Saints
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: fans are still upset. They're still angry about the controversial
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: call at the conference championship game against the Rams. So
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: they did everything they could to avoid watching the Super Bowl.
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: Remember they were it was a blackout, they were, they
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: were boycotting everything in New Orleans. Well, one sixty five
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: year old Saints fan went so far as to die
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: so that he wouldn't have to watch the game. Uh yeah, yeah,
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: his name is Henry A. Uh he passed. He passed
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: away about five hours before kickoff. Yes, he died on
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: Super Bowl Sunday. So when his family released his obituary
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: in the New Orleans Advocate, it read, um Henry A Senior,
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: age sixty five, passed away on Sunday, February third, two
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: thy nineteen at one o'clock PM. Determined not to watch
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: Super Bowl fifty three. Fan, I'm not killing myself. Just
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: turn it off. I don't care Donald Trump and the
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: White House administration playing against the clan in the dam
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: Super Bowl. I bet I don't keep myself. I'll give wall.
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: He wasn't very much. Yeah, that was a bit much
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: that he just died. But his family took that to
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: mean that he didn't want to watch the super Bowl.
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: That's how much of a Saints fan he was. Yeah, yeah, Okay,
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: you're gonna hold your breath that alone. Okay, Okay, See
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: what if it were the Browns and they made it
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: to the super Bowl. I know you won't kill yourself.
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: They made it to the super Bowl, but something happened,
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: a bad call, a wrong call, and they lost, and
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: you were mad. What would you do. We're just gonna
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: be a lot of stuff. I'd be mad. I'll because
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: I'll cuss on the radio and do it. I I've
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: sent three hundred thousand to the FCC and the paid
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: it fine. But I'm coming on the radio to cup. Yeah,
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: I'm gonna do that. I'm coming on the radio. I'm
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: gonna sending the fine in before I get up that morning.
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: I'm gonna mail it in three hundred thousand. I'm gonna
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna do some heavy customs. I just want that
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: to be known, and then after that I wear about
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: it from now, You're gonna kill yourself? What the Browns
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: or I was killing myself over the Browns, I'd have
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: been dead years ago. Boy, before making Mayfields. Mayfield, I've
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: been back there with Bryan Site and did a bunch
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: of times dead, Brian wil Mike Pruit dead, Ernest Byner dead,
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: le Kelly dead, nws Man, damn Brown. I'm not killing
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: myself open, no game. I don't give a damn if
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: I played on the team and you know what stuff
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: I had lost, I'm not I'm not doing it, man,
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: I'm not doing it. I've lost a bunch of times,
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: and the majority of times I lost people didn't even
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: know it. The majority of my losses in life, nobody
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: even knew. Then I got the public losses. Oh yeah,
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: Oh you know, man, when people come for you in
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: a tacky run, dag got a few more coming. We're
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: gonna be just fun winning. You're still winning. You're still winning.
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: Keep you keep moving. Well, that's just how life is, though.
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: I mean, life is full of ups and downs. If
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: peaks and valleys. Man, if you don't understand that, you
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: in a world of trouble, ain't gonna be just peaks.
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: All right, We'll be back with more of the Steve
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show right after this, you're listening to show.
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: All right, this has been trending guys on social media
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: all weekend and part of last week as well. We
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: talked about it on Friday. Remember, Gucci, the Gucci brand
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: is in hot water right now, and after it received
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: the backlash over a sweater that seemed to resemble black face.
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: You know, it was kind of a turtleneck sweater that
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: went over the mouth and part of the face, and
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: it was outlined in the red lips. Yeah. Uh, and
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: it's become this sort of thing is becoming an all
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: too popular occurrence. Now, Gucci has sensed, apologized, and removed
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: the sweater from its storys and the website. It issued
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: a statement, Gucci deeply apologizes for the offense caused by
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: the world jumper. We consider diversity to be a fundamental
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: value to be fully upheld, respected, and at the forefront
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: of every decision we make. Really okay, They're certainly not
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: the first clothing brand to create and sell products that
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: could be interpreted as racist. If you remember back a
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: year ago January of last year, to be exact, H
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: and M stores featured a black kid, Little black Boy
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: on its website wearing a sweatshirt with the words coolest
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: Monkey in the Jungle. Haven't been in that store since
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: I remember that? Yeah, well, yeah, yeah remember that. Okay. Then,
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: just in December, Prada luxury line Prada pulled out a
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: line of accessories that resembled a black Sambo character. Yeah,
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: they issued an apology. Yeah, that was blatant to me,
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: Sam really Yeah, there used to be a restaurant in
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: that lake called Sambo Samboles. Yeah. Oh, dog across the
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: South had a little black face on it too. Yeah,
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: all right, So, I mean, I don't know what's happening here. Well,
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: you know, I saw a Gucci sweater. I've seen it before,
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: and when I saw it, I didn't pay it no attention.
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: You know, when I saw it, I didn't pay it
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: any attention. But I guess when you see it now,
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: and if they say that it looks like that, you know.
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: I mean, I saw on Nick Cannon's Instagram he said
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: Happy black Face History Month on the calendar. I mean,
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: just in reference to all the stuff that's going on
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: now with black face. You know, what is going on
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: here and this is Black History Month, but it's still
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: it's still going on at the colleges and stuff like that.
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: They've been doing this for long. Yeah, yeah, yeah, and
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: that's not good enough for Tim. He took the social
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: media as well. He's demanding that African Americans boycott Gucci,
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: and he posted an apology. Is cool, but it's just
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: not enough. The disrespect will not be tolerated. That's what
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: Ti put out on his Instagram. And now, according to
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: a Nielsen publication from September of last year, we know
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: what our buying power is as African Americans. We know
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: that we spend a lot of money on labels. We
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: love labels, We spend a lot of money on everything.
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: Our buying power is at one point three trillion, with
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: a tr trillion currently, and it's based on gains in population,
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: income and education. It's estimated to rise to one point
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: five four trillion by the year twenty twenty two. So
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: that's a problem. He's well, here's what I'm going to say.
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: If we are going to have a boycott, it has
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: to be a formulated boycott by consistus of quite a
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: few people, because what ends up happening is, you know,
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: we have these things that everybody's supposed to line up with,
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: and everybody is not aware of it. So if it's
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: going to be a boy how it has to be
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: a concerted effort by a massive number of people for
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: the boycott to be successful. Because what happens is one
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: or two people cry for a boycott, then they see you, then'
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: here they come slamming you, and everybody don't know. So
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: it has to be a general consensus. I feel for
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: it to be a boycott. All right, Steve, coming up
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: closing remark right after this you're listening to all right, Steve,
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: it's time for your closing remarks. Okay, today I thought
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: a good subject to talk about was about I think
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: mentors being mentored, how to attract the right mentor. I
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: don't care what you're thinking of doing in your life.
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: I don't care what decisions you've made. Somebody's already done it, attempted,
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: it gone down that role made the attempt. Maybe not
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: your ideas specifically, but the route to get there has
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: already been traveled for the most part. If you want
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: to be successful, there are successful people. If you want
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: to be a star athlete, there's a star. You know
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: what I'm saying. I'm saying to you that whatever it is,
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: you're trying to accomplish. Somebody has already taken the path. Now,
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: finding these people is really really not that difficult. Now,
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: getting in front of them is where you're gonna find
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: the difficulty. So let me give you a couple of suggestions.
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: What is the best way to approach a mentor? What
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: is the best way to approach a mentor of means
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: and a mentor with means, because that's that's two different people.
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: You know, Martin Luther King was a mentor of means.
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: He wasn't a wealthy man, but Lord have mercy man
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: the knowledge that he could have given you about struggling
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: and overcoming and sticktuitiveness, those lessons he could have taught
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: you would have been invaluable. So you have two different
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: types of mentors. You have mentors of means and mentors
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: with means. Now, if you can find the two combined,
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: that's even more special. But you're getting into more of
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: a rare territory. Now. It's harder to find mentors of
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: means and with means combined, because how do you get
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: to that person? How do you get to the Oprah
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: Winter flees When you find someone in your life or
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: you meet someone, or you hear someone, you put them
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: on your vision board. I want to meet this person
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: one day. I would love to have a conversation with
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: this person. You have to understand something. Most people with
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: means of any kind, like Bishop Jake's, he has a
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: lot of means man. He does well financial, but he
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: is also just a man of wealth of knowledge. How
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: do you get to these people? Well, it's several ways
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: to do it. But if you can somehow find that way,
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: because there's no specific way. Right when you get in
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: front of this person, I want you to understand something.
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: When you're facing them, they don't mind teaching and sharing,
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: because most people of means are great sharers and great teachers.
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: A Bishop Jake's, a Joe Oldstein, that brother that has
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: the app out, the hip hop preacher Eric Thomas. Brothers
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: like that too, and I listened to him man a
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: lot of times. But getting in front of them, taking
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: their course or whatever you might do. When you get
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: in front of them, they don't mind teaching and sharing.
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: They will mind giving you money. See, most people want
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: to meet them mentor so they can present an idea
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: to them and get some financial help. That's the quickest
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: way to run them off because everybody is used to that.
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: Do you have any idea how many times in a
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: week I'm asked for money? It's sickening. But if you
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: come to me and say, man, could you just give
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: me a piece of advice? I usually don't have no
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: problem with that. I got time for most Anybody that
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: wants them advice wants me to share a wealth a
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: piece of knowledge. That's okay. So when you get to
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: these people, have a plan to be taught something. Ask
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: them to teach you to fish, not to give you
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: a fish sandwich. Ask them to teach you to fish.
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: They don't have a problem with that. Now, that several
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: ways to get in front of them. But when you
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: do get that, when you finally do meet them, and
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: meeting them ain as difficult as you think. Now, if
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: you live in you know, New York, and your mentor
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: lives in LA, You're gonna have to find a way
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: to get to La, or you gotta find out when
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: you come to newall you got to do some research.
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: But you have mentors closer than that. You have somebody
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: who's a really well mentally balanced person that you need
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: information from. You have a person who seems to be
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: doing really well with a wife and their children. You
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: need information from because it's all a balancing act. You
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: can't be successful in your business and why your family
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: sitting over the struggling and in ruins is not going
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: to work. Once you learn the traits of success, it
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: filters over into every other aspect of life. So you
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: got to have a balance. You can find these people
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: right here. Don't ask them for money. People want to
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: share and teach and give you information. Everybody needs a mentor.
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: You cannot make it without mentorship. You know, there's an
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: incredible saying, and we ain't got to get into why
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: so incredible. But friendship is essential to the soul. You
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: know why friend ship is so essential to the soul.
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: I've lost my mother, my father, I've lost my brother,
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: I've lost my best friend. Before you can live your
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: life without your mother, you may have to eventually one day.
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: You can live your life without your father. You may
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: eventually have to do that. One day. You can live
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: your life without your uncles and your relatives. But you
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: know what, it's very very difficult to live your life
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: without a friend. It is very very difficult to live
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: in this world with no friendship nowhere. You can't pick
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: up it's man you got. Friendship is essential to the soul.
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: Do not avoid mentoring. Don't try to do it all
- 1:38:45Speaker 1: by yourself, because nobody gets to the top by yourself.
- 1:38:48Speaker 1: There's no such thing as a self made man. You've
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: got to have a mentor. For all Steve I re contests,
