- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time. I
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a suit on the don giving
- 0:13Speaker 1: them like the million bucks things, and it's not good
- 0:20Speaker 1: at listen to mother, I don't join joining me. You
- 0:59Speaker 1: gotta use that turn you're going to do. You gotta
- 1:25Speaker 1: turn to turn them out. Turn. You got to turn
- 1:44Speaker 1: them out to turn the water the water go. Come
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your tha h huh, I sure will. Good morning, everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Are you are listening to the voice? Come on dig
- 2:08Speaker 1: me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Okay,
- 2:14Speaker 1: I got something for you today. I'm gonna have a
- 2:20Speaker 1: conversation this morning about my understanding of grace now that
- 2:25Speaker 1: I've gotten older and I've come in to a better
- 2:28Speaker 1: understanding of a lot of things I didn't know about
- 2:31Speaker 1: when I was younger. This is just my interpretation of grace.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Now once again, y'all listen to me. I ain't nobody's pastor,
- 2:42Speaker 1: I ain't nobody's minister. So you know, I'm pretty sure
- 2:45Speaker 1: you can go to church and get a far more
- 2:48Speaker 1: extensive definition of one I'm giving you. I'm just talking
- 2:51Speaker 1: to people. You know. Grace is this thing that that
- 2:55Speaker 1: God provides for us, and grace's just things that you
- 3:03Speaker 1: get that's really undeserving, you know. I mean, I look
- 3:07Speaker 1: at my life as it is today. You know. Look,
- 3:10Speaker 1: I work hard and I have faith in God that
- 3:12Speaker 1: I do so things are going to happen in my life.
- 3:16Speaker 1: But the way my life is now, I don't. I don't.
- 3:19Speaker 1: I don't deserve all of this. I don't don't. I
- 3:22Speaker 1: don't look at it that way. I have been the
- 3:25Speaker 1: beneficiary of God's grace. I have aligned myself in a
- 3:30Speaker 1: position to accept whatever grace God has for me, and
- 3:35Speaker 1: it will be far abundant and exceedingly in anything you
- 3:40Speaker 1: could think of. His grace supersedes anything you could possibly imagine.
- 3:46Speaker 1: You know, the goals that I set and the aspirations
- 3:49Speaker 1: that I shoot for, and the things that I have
- 3:51Speaker 1: on my dream board. I have the faith that God
- 3:53Speaker 1: will give it to me. But what He does with grace,
- 3:56Speaker 1: he gives you far more than that. He gives you
- 3:59Speaker 1: what He he has for you, not what you can see.
- 4:02Speaker 1: You can't see all He has for you. It's impossible.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Who are you? How can you possibly imagine what he
- 4:09Speaker 1: can imagine? How can you possibly think? How he can think?
- 4:12Speaker 1: How how can you possibly do what he can do?
- 4:14Speaker 1: How can it be that isn't a single mind living
- 4:18Speaker 1: or a collection of minds that could have thought of earth?
- 4:23Speaker 1: What in your wildest imagination could have made you think
- 4:26Speaker 1: of Earth? The stars, the heavens, the oceans, the galaxy,
- 4:32Speaker 1: the constellations. What in your mind? What in any man's mind?
- 4:37Speaker 1: We can point at it and analyze it, but we
- 4:39Speaker 1: show it couldn't have thought of it. So come on now,
- 4:43Speaker 1: I'm talking about lining yourself up with God's grace, which
- 4:48Speaker 1: he will give to you if you if you want
- 4:51Speaker 1: some of it now. But now his thing about grace,
- 4:54Speaker 1: it can't be bought. If it could, if it could
- 4:56Speaker 1: be bought, I'm telling you I would pull all all
- 5:00Speaker 1: the money I have and dump it into grace, because,
- 5:04Speaker 1: after discovering what it is, it's this goodness that God
- 5:09Speaker 1: shines on you simply as a reward of some type
- 5:15Speaker 1: for his love for you and for you attempting for you,
- 5:19Speaker 1: attempting to do right, not because you get it right.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Because if He judged us purely on how we are
- 5:26Speaker 1: the right and wrong of it, we would all be doomed,
- 5:29Speaker 1: all of us, every last one of us, would be
- 5:33Speaker 1: doomed because we all fall short, we all make mistakes,
- 5:38Speaker 1: we all sin, we all get it wrong from time
- 5:42Speaker 1: to time. Nobody's perfect man. Now I understand what my
- 5:46Speaker 1: mother was saying about cleaning the house. All I want
- 5:50Speaker 1: is a little more grace. All I need is a
- 5:53Speaker 1: little more grace when the last time you ask God
- 5:55Speaker 1: for some grace. No, I'm not talking to you like
- 5:58Speaker 1: I know everything. If you just benefit from His grace,
- 6:02Speaker 1: which you already have, but if you're not aware of it,
- 6:06Speaker 1: you don't know what's going on. Become aware of grace,
- 6:09Speaker 1: Get aware of the fact that God does things for
- 6:13Speaker 1: you simply because He loves you. He does things for
- 6:16Speaker 1: you that you don't even deserve. Somehow you just wonder
- 6:18Speaker 1: how you just got over when you didn't even do
- 6:22Speaker 1: the things to get over. Sometimes you don't even know
- 6:26Speaker 1: how you got that job you got when you ain't
- 6:28Speaker 1: even really do the things to get to job. How
- 6:31Speaker 1: you end up where you are, all this education you
- 6:33Speaker 1: thought you went and got and had, How you end
- 6:36Speaker 1: up where you are today in a much better position
- 6:38Speaker 1: than your education could have ever gotten you. That's grace.
- 6:43Speaker 1: How I get every place I am today. I didn't
- 6:46Speaker 1: plan this man. If I could have planned my life
- 6:48Speaker 1: the way it is, don't you know how to have
- 6:50Speaker 1: done it when I was living in that car? If
- 6:52Speaker 1: I knew how to do it. No, I benefited from
- 6:54Speaker 1: his grace. I'm just a beneficiary of his grace, of
- 7:01Speaker 1: his goodness and his mercy. God's goodness is better than
- 7:04Speaker 1: your goodness. God's goodness is better than your mother's goodness.
- 7:08Speaker 1: It's better than your wife's or your husband or your
- 7:11Speaker 1: booze goodness. God's goodness is different. His goodness Man covers
- 7:17Speaker 1: some stuff you can't even imagine. So why are you
- 7:21Speaker 1: trying to put your life together when the last time
- 7:24Speaker 1: you asked him for just a little bit of grace?
- 7:28Speaker 1: When have you thought of your life in terms of
- 7:31Speaker 1: the grace that it has already benefited from? Have you
- 7:34Speaker 1: ever done that? Man? Just thought about you know you
- 7:38Speaker 1: hear songs like my soul looked back and wonder how
- 7:40Speaker 1: I got over. That's grace, That's all I can call it. Now.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Like I said, you can go to church or somewhere
- 7:45Speaker 1: ever you want to, and ministers that the wind at
- 7:48Speaker 1: school to teach this thing way better than me. I'm
- 7:51Speaker 1: just giving you from a layman standpoint. Man, have you
- 7:53Speaker 1: thought about his grace? Would you not bewailed to be
- 7:57Speaker 1: a beneficiary of his grace? With not? Now, check this out.
- 8:02Speaker 1: The better you try to do, the more grace he'll
- 8:05Speaker 1: give to you. And that grace can't be bought. Like
- 8:09Speaker 1: I said, it's free. You can't purchase grace. But the
- 8:13Speaker 1: better you try to become the more the more grace
- 8:15Speaker 1: he gets to put your way. So man, just try
- 8:20Speaker 1: Why don't you just try to do better? Look, man,
- 8:23Speaker 1: quick tip, mind, I'm gonna start next week. I'm gonna
- 8:25Speaker 1: start at the new year. Now you now you do
- 8:28Speaker 1: that every year, you know the ems at the new year.
- 8:30Speaker 1: I'm eat better at the new year. I'm gonna I'm
- 8:32Speaker 1: gonna gonna get in here and the new year. If
- 8:34Speaker 1: you're gonna do it, you're gonna do it now. Man,
- 8:37Speaker 1: you're gonna do not stop trying do something, do it,
- 8:42Speaker 1: stop talking about it, do it now. The best way
- 8:45Speaker 1: to benefit from his grace is starting action now in
- 8:50Speaker 1: old w now right now today, what you're waiting on.
- 8:55Speaker 1: All you're doing is delaying his opportunity to bless you.
- 9:00Speaker 1: You know, man, you know, do you know how many
- 9:02Speaker 1: times we do that? We delay his opportunity to bless
- 9:05Speaker 1: us by not starting now. If you're gonna get healthy,
- 9:09Speaker 1: why don't you start now? Now you're gonna trip a
- 9:11Speaker 1: little bit called the holidays coming. But you ain't got
- 9:14Speaker 1: to eat bad all the time. You could start eating
- 9:16Speaker 1: correct today, you could. You could, and then guess what
- 9:21Speaker 1: that could be? Some grace on the end of that.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I'm just giving you a little cheap analogy. But do
- 9:26Speaker 1: you feel what I'm saying to you? Start thinking in
- 9:29Speaker 1: terms of grace, what He has done for you and
- 9:31Speaker 1: provided for you that you ain't even see coming that
- 9:34Speaker 1: you know, you keep calling them blessings and I got
- 9:36Speaker 1: that a lot of it, and us all it is.
- 9:38Speaker 1: But man, have you thought about the stuff that didn't
- 9:40Speaker 1: happen to you? You can't account for I. For me,
- 9:45Speaker 1: that's been grace and I'm beneficiary of it. And that's
- 9:48Speaker 1: available to everybody that wants sun. Next time you're talking
- 9:52Speaker 1: to him, just check in with grace. See what that is.
- 9:55Speaker 1: That's that's better than money. You're listening show, ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:03Speaker 1: here it is. It's the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Now.
- 10:05Speaker 1: I've been starting off with your songs that just out
- 10:09Speaker 1: of nowhere. That just meant something to me and all
- 10:14Speaker 1: I don't have one this ja ja, let me make
- 10:30Speaker 1: love to your loose Yes, yeah, I don't know where
- 10:40Speaker 1: that came from. I was talking to me, just blurted
- 10:45Speaker 1: out and Eddie Lavert came out. Man, I don't know
- 10:48Speaker 1: what it was. Just in me rolle my bike down
- 10:56Speaker 1: to Leo Casino when I was fifteen years old because
- 11:00Speaker 1: my brothers was going down there to see the old Jay's.
- 11:04Speaker 1: I rode my bike down now parked in on the
- 11:07Speaker 1: side by the tavern, crawled in the basement window, went
- 11:13Speaker 1: up the steps to watch the old Jay's body of security.
- 11:18Speaker 1: God grab me and say, what's your park hands doing
- 11:20Speaker 1: in hill? I just start holly because I was so
- 11:27Speaker 1: scared of this dude. Man, my little skinny he's I'm
- 11:30Speaker 1: gonna whip your hand. You come up in here and out.
- 11:33Speaker 1: But praise God, my brother saw it. My brother walked
- 11:37Speaker 1: over to him, his head. The hell you're doing in here? Boy?
- 11:41Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I don't feel the whoop his ass, brother,
- 11:43Speaker 1: hod man, you feel the whip who As a reprieve
- 11:48Speaker 1: from the governor the red phone, I was on death row.
- 11:52Speaker 1: This dude see to beat me. I got out, never
- 11:55Speaker 1: saw the old jay's never heard a note. Oh that's
- 12:01Speaker 1: only good thing happened when he put me back up
- 12:03Speaker 1: through that. When you're gonna take your little lass back
- 12:05Speaker 1: up that whend you came out of show me how
- 12:07Speaker 1: you got in here, took him downstairs, showed him. I
- 12:09Speaker 1: got to push my little lass back up and doing
- 12:10Speaker 1: the only good thing. Well, my bike was still there,
- 12:13Speaker 1: thank golf. And that rolled back from fifty fifth down
- 12:15Speaker 1: to one hundred and twelve. Went on in the house.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Ride your head from fifty fifth down to one twelve.
- 12:23Speaker 1: That's it. I used to ride downtown all the time,
- 12:27Speaker 1: Public Square on hundred and twelve blocks, ride down, Now,
- 12:32Speaker 1: that's a lot. You were in shape, weren't you. I didn't.
- 12:35Speaker 1: I didn't even know. It was a long ass ride.
- 12:39Speaker 1: It wasn't no other way to get out. I ain't
- 12:41Speaker 1: no money for no damn bus. Yeah, we know you
- 12:44Speaker 1: wouldn't take nobody with you. You know we've done well.
- 12:49Speaker 1: You do remember that time I tried to take you something.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Your little last kept falling off the handlebar. You didn't
- 12:59Speaker 1: want me at no high hold on. He couldn't touch
- 13:03Speaker 1: the nuts on the wheel in the front. So now
- 13:06Speaker 1: you just up there with your legs swinging. You didn't
- 13:09Speaker 1: fell off the damn handaball not to ran over your ass. Yeah, bro,
- 13:17Speaker 1: god damn you ran him old like he fell forward.
- 13:23Speaker 1: I was trying to pick you up. It was funny though.
- 13:31Speaker 1: All right, well, listen, we're all never apologize to you
- 13:35Speaker 1: about that either. Oh, now you gonna said I never apologize.
- 13:40Speaker 1: We'll be back. You're listening Morning show right now. It's
- 13:45Speaker 1: time for the nephew to run that brank back. Pump
- 13:48Speaker 1: your brakes, that's what we got. Cat down, pump your brakes.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Let's go. Hello. Hello, I'm trying to reach Natalie. Please, Yeah,
- 13:56Speaker 1: this is Natalie, Natalie. How you doing. My name is Darren.
- 13:59Speaker 1: I'm with the homeowners Association. Oh okay, hey, dare how
- 14:05Speaker 1: you doing? Listen? Um, we got a we got a
- 14:09Speaker 1: bit of a problem, if you don't mind me asking,
- 14:12Speaker 1: who's who who actually brings your kids home from school? Uh?
- 14:16Speaker 1: Each day? Oh, my mom gets my kids for me
- 14:20Speaker 1: and she dropped them off. Okay, okay, okay, Well we
- 14:26Speaker 1: have a we have a bit of a problem. The
- 14:28Speaker 1: kids are fine, there's there's no issue with the kids
- 14:30Speaker 1: at all. But you know, we've had a meeting here
- 14:34Speaker 1: at the HLA. We've been getting some complaints. Uh, it
- 14:37Speaker 1: seems like your mother is is uh really speeding down
- 14:42Speaker 1: the street real fast, and you know everyone's complaining about
- 14:47Speaker 1: it that you know, it's a lot of kids walking
- 14:49Speaker 1: home from school and it seems like your mom is
- 14:52Speaker 1: driving real fast when she's coming down the street to
- 14:55Speaker 1: drop your kids off. Did you know anything about this?
- 15:00Speaker 1: But no, not at all. That doesn't even sound like her. Okay,
- 15:04Speaker 1: what type of cards my mother? Uh, let me ask
- 15:08Speaker 1: you this, Natalie. We're we're we're from what I understand,
- 15:11Speaker 1: it is a what kind of car does your mom had?
- 15:15Speaker 1: Is a board escape or something like that? Something a
- 15:19Speaker 1: little suv? Does that what your mom has? Yeah? She
- 15:22Speaker 1: has a little red stuv? Okay, all right? So the
- 15:29Speaker 1: problem is that that that's the same car. That's the
- 15:31Speaker 1: one we're talking about. And it seems like, you know,
- 15:34Speaker 1: your mother is is flying down the street and she
- 15:37Speaker 1: drops the kids off, and when she leaves, she's flying
- 15:40Speaker 1: back out of the neighborhood and a couple of times
- 15:43Speaker 1: some of the neighbors have told her to slow down.
- 15:44Speaker 1: And you know, I don't know if she's flicked them
- 15:48Speaker 1: off or set something out the window, you know. But
- 15:51Speaker 1: you know this is stuff that we just cannot tolerate.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Huh well it really doesn't sound like my mom. But
- 15:59Speaker 1: you know, okay, well listen, you know what, Natalie, what
- 16:01Speaker 1: what we're not gonna do is what you're not gonna
- 16:03Speaker 1: do is act like it's not your mamma. It's your
- 16:06Speaker 1: mother that's doing this. So what we need you to
- 16:08Speaker 1: do is tell your mama to slow up down so
- 16:11Speaker 1: we don't ask problem, all right, because I tried to
- 16:14Speaker 1: be nice with you at first. But if you're gonna
- 16:16Speaker 1: be a denial figure it's not your mamma, then we
- 16:18Speaker 1: got an issue. First of all, Darren from h O A,
- 16:24Speaker 1: I need you to watch your charls and who is
- 16:26Speaker 1: you're talking to? All right? I need you to climb
- 16:28Speaker 1: that all the way down all right. Times you need
- 16:33Speaker 1: to slow your damn mama down. That's what you need
- 16:35Speaker 1: to do. Slow your mama down the way she's driving.
- 16:38Speaker 1: What she to do is stand in the middle of
- 16:40Speaker 1: the street. Is she flying down and so hopefully she
- 16:43Speaker 1: can knock you out the way. Okay, don't talk to
- 16:45Speaker 1: me like that. You're being ruined disrespectful. I don't ask
- 16:48Speaker 1: her if it's time because I don't think it's time.
- 16:51Speaker 1: But you're not gonna talk to me like that. Okay,
- 16:53Speaker 1: So your mama can just drive down the street and
- 16:56Speaker 1: after damn you what you want to do. My mamma
- 16:59Speaker 1: could do whatever she want to do. She'll grow on
- 17:01Speaker 1: a doman. She can't do it in the neighborhood that
- 17:04Speaker 1: I'm a member of the h o an. She can't
- 17:06Speaker 1: do it there. Okay, I don't mind ever your mama
- 17:09Speaker 1: arrested with your kids in the car. If I got to,
- 17:13Speaker 1: I wish you would. I wish you would have my
- 17:16Speaker 1: mama arrested with my kids in the car. You're gonna
- 17:18Speaker 1: have more problems than you ever had. Okay, you bet,
- 17:22Speaker 1: And I have my mama arrested, You're gonna get arrested
- 17:25Speaker 1: and you're gonna be sent to the hospital. How about that? Okay,
- 17:29Speaker 1: let me tell yourself. Tell your mama so slow her
- 17:32Speaker 1: down in the streets. This the last one, and I'm
- 17:35Speaker 1: giving y'all this the last one. Well, you know what
- 17:38Speaker 1: I'm say. You ain't got to get no war, and
- 17:40Speaker 1: it's okay. We can have a real conversation about it.
- 17:43Speaker 1: We can meet and talk about it, because ain't gonna
- 17:45Speaker 1: talk to me like that, and you and I ain't
- 17:47Speaker 1: telling my mama nothing. I ain't telling out a slow
- 17:49Speaker 1: down for nothing. What you're gonna do? What's your mom do? There?
- 17:53Speaker 1: Not that? Let's meet about it. And I'm not bringing
- 17:55Speaker 1: my husband to say you got so much to stay?
- 17:58Speaker 1: You don't say. I don't want you to keep that
- 18:00Speaker 1: same energy, okay with my husband. I want you to
- 18:03Speaker 1: talk to him like you talking to me. I literly
- 18:06Speaker 1: tell you something. I ain't worry about your husband and
- 18:08Speaker 1: none of that. All right, I'm gonna say I'm gonna
- 18:11Speaker 1: say this right here. I'm gonna say this right here.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Tommy is the one that told us that your mama
- 18:15Speaker 1: was speaking down the street. Tommy One said it, Tommy
- 18:19Speaker 1: put it on returning. Tommy said, your mamma was the
- 18:24Speaker 1: one running up and down the street fast going part
- 18:27Speaker 1: of picking mile and out. Commedy one said that I
- 18:30Speaker 1: don't know who Timmy shot, but Tommy can kiss my.
- 18:33Speaker 1: You can kiss my. And then you got the neighbors
- 18:36Speaker 1: who got something to say about my mama can kiss my?
- 18:39Speaker 1: How about that? Gonna shoot it? Let me and shoot
- 18:42Speaker 1: this do you little Matthew Tommy from a Steve Harvey

- 28:39Speaker 1: mean it. There's no really way to say. I mean,
- 28:41Speaker 1: you say the gift and you gotta fix your face.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Oh wow, thank you for the college Daves. I didn't
- 28:45Speaker 1: even know you're listening. According to the New York Times,
- 28:54Speaker 1: Christmas tree sales are booming as pandemic weary Americans seek solace. So, guys,
- 29:01Speaker 1: I have to ask you. Are you decorating more for
- 29:03Speaker 1: the holidays or less? Hell? Yeah, I'm I'm lit up.
- 29:08Speaker 1: I'm up the tree up mine too. What what's your
- 29:15Speaker 1: favorite holiday tradition? Steve? Egg Na, fried Orshris and hot rolls?
- 29:24Speaker 1: Them three? Any question? Let me ask you a question, Tommy,
- 29:30Speaker 1: do you like egg Nah? I do I love? Okay? Okay,
- 29:34Speaker 1: let me ask you a question. Do you like hot rolls? Yeah?
- 29:37Speaker 1: Who don't? Okay? Let me ask you another question. Do
- 29:39Speaker 1: you like fried oysters? I really like them grilled, but
- 29:44Speaker 1: okay cool, I like them fried Now if I like
- 29:47Speaker 1: fried oyshos and I like hot rolls and I like
- 29:50Speaker 1: egg nah, how you can't see that together? But how
- 29:53Speaker 1: how did you bring all that together? One day? Though?
- 29:55Speaker 1: Because well, my father was living he had a tradition
- 30:02Speaker 1: with my brothers and I grew up. He just wanted
- 30:05Speaker 1: to see his sons all together on Christmas morning. So
- 30:09Speaker 1: we all went by his house on Christmas morning. Every
- 30:12Speaker 1: Christmas morning he fried oysters. Well, my mamma know I
- 30:14Speaker 1: love egg now, so she might. And then my mom
- 30:16Speaker 1: would make some hot rolls with it, and you put
- 30:19Speaker 1: them fried on she between that hot roll oh like
- 30:24Speaker 1: a minute. That's a minute poker, and then some eggna
- 30:31Speaker 1: with some nut man on it. So, as my sons
- 30:35Speaker 1: have gotten older and all live away from home, I
- 30:39Speaker 1: started to tradition years ago. So all my sons on
- 30:42Speaker 1: Christmas morning, no matter where they are, they fly home.
- 30:45Speaker 1: They sit with their daddy on Christmas morning, have fried oystris,
- 30:49Speaker 1: eggnog and hot rolls. They like it. Two of them
- 30:53Speaker 1: don't care for eggnog. But you have to drink it
- 30:55Speaker 1: though or else on christ you know. Oh you ain't, no, Harvey,
- 31:01Speaker 1: give me my damn name back, Okay, you know. Okay, okay,
- 31:05Speaker 1: so what you want to be you ain't nothing else.
- 31:07Speaker 1: So Steve tell us about the new tradition elf on
- 31:09Speaker 1: the shelf. All you know about that because we talked
- 31:13Speaker 1: about it. Tommy talked about it. Is Yeah, you thought
- 31:19Speaker 1: I would that our house, Marjorie does that. I'm against it.
- 31:24Speaker 1: But this year for the grandkids, it's living with us.
- 31:27Speaker 1: So and were talking about this elf on the shelf.
- 31:31Speaker 1: We're just talking about elf on the shelf. Are you're
- 31:33Speaker 1: gonna case some kids? I think it's up there with
- 31:36Speaker 1: fan Oh yeah, momis you? It ain't up there with
- 31:39Speaker 1: some Take it from me. The man ain't about a
- 31:44Speaker 1: damn thing. But I'm glad you brought that up. Tommy.
- 31:49Speaker 1: How conscientious of you? Yeah, man, Tommy? What country you
- 31:54Speaker 1: got this year? This year? Uh? You hear that? Y'all?
- 31:59Speaker 1: What you normally have more than one Christmas tree? Too?
- 32:08Speaker 1: And last it all boy not I'm girl, No, no,
- 32:14Speaker 1: I have two big windows. That's why it just putting
- 32:17Speaker 1: up one would be crazy. You want to balance it?
- 32:19Speaker 1: I like, yeah, you know, aesthetically, I'm all, we could
- 32:23Speaker 1: have falled with one tree. Well, we could have fad
- 32:26Speaker 1: with one tree. Timmy, ain't gotta put up two trees.
- 32:31Speaker 1: The tree so damn big, you can see it in
- 32:33Speaker 1: all the windows. There's so much pressure with the same
- 32:43Speaker 1: We started off with elfha the shelf. What happened? How
- 32:47Speaker 1: did it go? Left? Okay, wait to get some money. Man,
- 32:50Speaker 1: all right, Steve, let's get to the news. Ladies and gentlemen,
- 32:53Speaker 1: Miss Anne trip you guys, Okay, this is a trip
- 32:56Speaker 1: with the news. Well. President Biden went national yesterday out
- 33:00Speaker 1: line he has planned to deal with the fast spreading
- 33:02Speaker 1: omicron COVID variant. Almost everyone who has died from COVID
- 33:05Speaker 1: nineteen in the past many months has been unvaccinated unvaccinated.
- 33:11Speaker 1: But if you're among the majority of Americans who are
- 33:13Speaker 1: fully vaccinated, and especially if you've gotten the booster shot,
- 33:16Speaker 1: that third shot, you have much, much less reason to worry.
- 33:19Speaker 1: Mister Biden says the government is going to deliver five
- 33:22Speaker 1: hundred million free rapid test kits to Americans while also
- 33:26Speaker 1: increasing support for hospitals and expanding availability of vaccines. The
- 33:30Speaker 1: omicron variant has become the dominant strain of the virus
- 33:33Speaker 1: in less than a month, and the President says it's
- 33:35Speaker 1: americans patriotic duty now he says, to get vaccinated against
- 33:39Speaker 1: the coronavirus. Jurors are going to continue deliberating the manslaughter
- 33:42Speaker 1: case against former Minnesota policewoman Kim Potter today. Potter, who's white,
- 33:47Speaker 1: charged with last April shooting death of an unarmed young
- 33:49Speaker 1: black man named Dante Wright, and after deliberating for about
- 33:53Speaker 1: twelve hours yesterday, jurors submitted questions to the judge Regina Chew.
- 33:58Speaker 1: First question is if the mary cannot reach consensus, what
- 34:03Speaker 1: is the guidance around how long and what steps should
- 34:08Speaker 1: be taken? Well, Judge, you kept, responded after rereading, and
- 34:13Speaker 1: she read that, and then she reread part of the
- 34:15Speaker 1: jury instructions to respond to the question, which says that
- 34:18Speaker 1: they should not hesitate to re examine their views, but
- 34:21Speaker 1: shouldn't feel forced to surrender their honest opinions just to
- 34:25Speaker 1: reach a verdict. Judge also agreed to allow juris to
- 34:28Speaker 1: further examine Potter's unloaded gun. They wanted to be able
- 34:31Speaker 1: to actually talk to active, feel it, I guess, and
- 34:33Speaker 1: feel the weight of it. Stuff. It's been big news
- 34:36Speaker 1: this week that West Virginia Democratic Senator Joe Mansion announced
- 34:39Speaker 1: that he was definitely not signing on to President Biden's
- 34:42Speaker 1: social stimulus package. We talked about that. Everybody's can talk
- 34:45Speaker 1: about that. Well, there seems to be a big fly
- 34:47Speaker 1: in the ointment, and that fly is the United Mind
- 34:50Speaker 1: Workers Union, believe it or not. Apparently, besides Republicans in
- 34:53Speaker 1: Congress and dirty energy CEOs, a lot of people in
- 34:56Speaker 1: West Virginia were looking forward to the passage of the bill.
- 34:59Speaker 1: In a statement the whole work as you when you
- 35:00Speaker 1: were politely but firmly asked Senator Mansion to reconsider his
- 35:04Speaker 1: no position because of the benefits that would contain, like
- 35:07Speaker 1: health of mind. Work is suffering from black lung. A
- 35:09Speaker 1: lot of mine workers are dying from that every day. Finally,
- 35:13Speaker 1: sad news for soap opera fans. Jerry Douglas, the actor
- 35:18Speaker 1: who played the patriarch of the Abbot clan and The
- 35:22Speaker 1: Young and the Restless, has died. Jerry Douglas was always
- 35:25Speaker 1: the dapper you know, gray haired John Abbott. He was
- 35:29Speaker 1: a chairman of Jabbok Cosmetic fo with thirty years. Jerry
- 35:32Speaker 1: Douglas died after a brief illness, only three days before
- 35:34Speaker 1: his eighty ninth birthday. Now back to the Steve Harvey
- 35:37Speaker 1: Morning Show. You're listening to the String Show. Well, it's
- 35:42Speaker 1: time for steve favorite segment. It's called as the clo Now,
- 35:45Speaker 1: Steve you ready? Are you ready? Stay ready? All right,
- 35:49Speaker 1: here we go. This one's from tab A DC. Tab says,
- 35:53Speaker 1: I'm forty nine and I'm dating a man that's seventy four. Okay.
- 35:57Speaker 1: He looks like he's my age, and he's very athletic
- 36:00Speaker 1: and energetic. We have a big problem in the bedroom,
- 36:03Speaker 1: and it's not what you think. His problem is that
- 36:07Speaker 1: he doesn't know when to stop. The sex can go
- 36:09Speaker 1: on for an hour and I have to work, run
- 36:12Speaker 1: errands and do other stuff, so he needs to wrap
- 36:14Speaker 1: it up sooner. He admitted that he's on medication and
- 36:18Speaker 1: the side effect is increased a sexual desire. Desire. He's
- 36:22Speaker 1: called me a lightweight and said I'll have to find
- 36:25Speaker 1: someone else that is up to the challenge. I hate
- 36:27Speaker 1: it when he said stuff like that. Do you think
- 36:29Speaker 1: he's just joking. Well, let's go a couple things. First
- 36:35Speaker 1: of all. First of all, the seventy four and last
- 36:39Speaker 1: too long. In medication, he's lost feeling in certain areas,
- 36:44Speaker 1: so the lasting longest. Don't worry, he'd have lost a
- 36:47Speaker 1: lot of fear. He knew it. So don't worry about that.
- 36:50Speaker 1: That all that hours and all that. Yeah, you know,
- 36:53Speaker 1: you know you need gonna pay you a lightweight. I
- 36:54Speaker 1: need to get somebody help. And the other thing you
- 36:57Speaker 1: said was you forty nine and he's seventy and he
- 37:00Speaker 1: looked your age. Not hold up, you're not going forward.
- 37:05Speaker 1: He's athletic and energetic. She says, he's seventy four, and
- 37:09Speaker 1: he looked your age. Ah, he's seventy four, and you
- 37:16Speaker 1: look his age. I didn't think about that. Just say that. Well,
- 37:23Speaker 1: I looked at all of it. When you ask me something,
- 37:25Speaker 1: we're in here problems because he might not be all
- 37:28Speaker 1: that athletic and energetic. Just your ass is older than
- 37:31Speaker 1: forty nine physically, and maybe that's what the problem is.
- 37:37Speaker 1: Maybe you thinking he more than he really is because
- 37:41Speaker 1: you ain't what you're saying you are. Let the church say, man,
- 37:44Speaker 1: let men, sometimes the answer is in your own damn question.
- 37:49Speaker 1: I believe her. Maybe she ain't an athletic. She ought
- 37:54Speaker 1: to get athletics. She would be more like forty nine,
- 37:56Speaker 1: most forty yin your women still got it, So she
- 38:00Speaker 1: ain't well. Well, he sat in the forward. Well, you
- 38:05Speaker 1: got medication that increases his that's viagl. That's what it is.
- 38:11Speaker 1: It increases what else? What it taking? Once again, if
- 38:16Speaker 1: you have something else, sir, please write into this show.
- 38:21Speaker 1: This became another secy yesterday some dude took a shot. Yeah,
- 38:27Speaker 1: a strawberry letter. Yeah, a shot, and he wasn't going
- 38:30Speaker 1: through that pain no more. Okay, all right, we'll come
- 38:34Speaker 1: right back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 38:37Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening Steve Morning Show. All right, guys,
- 38:43Speaker 1: it is time for comedy Roulette. Please, Jay set this
- 38:46Speaker 1: one up for us. Tell us. And it's so important
- 38:48Speaker 1: to explain this because we get new listeners every day
- 38:53Speaker 1: and we're doing a different segment that people are not
- 38:56Speaker 1: aware of. So that's why I take the time to explain.
- 39:02Speaker 1: And it's very simple. You take subjects and you put
- 39:08Speaker 1: them on a wheel, and you take them on the wheel,
- 39:12Speaker 1: You spun the wheel and which stop. We can do
- 39:18Speaker 1: the damn thing because we'se comedians were good? All right,
- 39:25Speaker 1: here we go. These are the subjects for today. Things
- 39:30Speaker 1: you can do to get people to leave your house,
- 39:34Speaker 1: things you say to people who've overdecorated for the holiday, yeah,
- 39:41Speaker 1: things you say to people who have underdecorated for the holidays.
- 39:47Speaker 1: And here's the last one. Things you say when you
- 39:50Speaker 1: didn't get what you wanted for Christmas? Okay, yeah, yeah,
- 39:56Speaker 1: you gotta. Yeah, let's let's spind the wheel. I'm my
- 40:04Speaker 1: own old but death of way. Yeah oh oh. I
- 40:09Speaker 1: thought it was gonna stop on over decorating, but now
- 40:12Speaker 1: it stopped on things you say when you didn't get
- 40:15Speaker 1: what you wanted for just the same as Steve's bad
- 40:17Speaker 1: acting theater. No, no, that's no, no, no, not at all.
- 40:22Speaker 1: I don't even know how you got that out of that.
- 40:24Speaker 1: But these are things you say when you didn't get
- 40:30Speaker 1: what you want for Christian Yeah, let's go the things
- 40:33Speaker 1: you say you didn't give what you say? Who come on?
- 40:37Speaker 1: Oooh this is nice and this one lights up? What
- 40:40Speaker 1: is it with that attitude? That's how you say it,
- 40:45Speaker 1: that's what you say and how you say it. Yeah,
- 40:50Speaker 1: j I'll tell you what. This is something I actually
- 40:52Speaker 1: said as a kid, but I didn't get what I
- 40:53Speaker 1: want on huh for Christmas? And they were standing there
- 40:56Speaker 1: by parents, but I was about ten. I said, you
- 41:02Speaker 1: said the actual words. Yeah, you know, when you open
- 41:05Speaker 1: that box of it ain't what you're supposed to get. Oh,
- 41:12Speaker 1: thank you, I'll I put this in the drawer with
- 41:15Speaker 1: that racket ass time you about like I ain't grateful. Well,
- 41:21Speaker 1: you didn't get what you want this one. This is
- 41:25Speaker 1: what you say at work. I knew when he pulled
- 41:27Speaker 1: my name it wasn't gonna be worth for damn I
- 41:31Speaker 1: can't exchange. I knew what pulled thing you save and
- 41:40Speaker 1: you didn't get you Yeah a pound cake? Huh? Thanks
- 41:46Speaker 1: a lot? Yeah to a diabetic Things you say when
- 41:55Speaker 1: you don't get what you want for Christmas? What happened?
- 41:58Speaker 1: Check short again? Take again? Come on? Why? Why? Why?
- 42:07Speaker 1: In the hill? What I wanted to kill? I don't

- 43:30Speaker 1: I'm next. It is the nephew with a praying phone
- 43:32Speaker 1: call that's coming up right after you're listening to show
- 43:39Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 43:41Speaker 1: four minutes after. It's my strawberry letter for today's subject,
- 43:44Speaker 1: my husband's supportive secretary. All right, right now, the nephew
- 43:48Speaker 1: in the building with today's praying phone call. What you

- 51:51Speaker 1: All right, thank you. Subject my husband's supportive secretary. Dear
- 51:55Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley. I've been married for fourteen years and we
- 51:58Speaker 1: have two sons. My hus is a middle school principle
- 52:02Speaker 1: and I work full time in an office. Excuse me.
- 52:05Speaker 1: My husband and I have a great social life, and
- 52:08Speaker 1: we used to focus on keeping the romance alive in
- 52:11Speaker 1: our marriage, but my boys are very active in sports now,
- 52:14Speaker 1: so it's hard to find time to hang out together.
- 52:16Speaker 1: It has not affected my husband's social life at all,
- 52:19Speaker 1: though he still hangs out after work and I have
- 52:23Speaker 1: a big issue with who he chooses to spend his
- 52:26Speaker 1: time with. He has been going out with his secretary
- 52:29Speaker 1: to have a quick dinner or just to grab a drink,
- 52:32Speaker 1: as he says. His secretary is married too, but her
- 52:35Speaker 1: kids are grown so she doesn't have to rush home
- 52:38Speaker 1: after work. After the first couple of times the two
- 52:41Speaker 1: of them went out, I went up to the school
- 52:43Speaker 1: and had a talk with both of them. She told
- 52:46Speaker 1: me that they are merely co workers and good friend
- 52:49Speaker 1: that tell each other everything. He told me that I
- 52:52Speaker 1: should not have come up there and that there was
- 52:54Speaker 1: nothing going on. Later, when he got home, he was
- 52:57Speaker 1: angry with me and told me that I don't support
- 53:00Speaker 1: who he is as a black man, and the secretary
- 53:04Speaker 1: is easy to talk to. She listens to him. I
- 53:07Speaker 1: was furious and humiliated. Meanwhile, he's hanging out after work.
- 53:13Speaker 1: I am running around with our boys, making sure there
- 53:15Speaker 1: at all of their practices and games. But I'm not supportive.
- 53:19Speaker 1: I really need some good advice before I ring his neck.
- 53:23Speaker 1: Please help, go ahead and ring his neck? Go ahead,
- 53:27Speaker 1: because he is wrong. I mean, your husband's out of order.
- 53:31Speaker 1: He's ignoring everything you're telling him and just doing whatever
- 53:34Speaker 1: he wants to do with his so called best friend
- 53:38Speaker 1: and very supportive secretary. I think your husband's disrespectful and
- 53:42Speaker 1: he knows. Should you have gone up to his job? No, no,
- 53:46Speaker 1: you shouldn't have gone up to his job because you
- 53:48Speaker 1: know that could cause him to get fired or whatever,
- 53:50Speaker 1: depending on what happened after that. But he didn't, So
- 53:54Speaker 1: that's okay. If you guys can't work this stuff out
- 53:56Speaker 1: at home, there is something really serious going on. A
- 54:00Speaker 1: telling line in the letter, he said, a couple of
- 54:03Speaker 1: them I don't think that you don't support who he
- 54:05Speaker 1: is as a black man. What does that have to
- 54:07Speaker 1: do with anything? What does that have to do with anything? Right?
- 54:13Speaker 1: But yeah, he tried her, didn't he try her? Yeah,
- 54:16Speaker 1: he tried it. And and but this is a real
- 54:19Speaker 1: telling line. The secretary is easy to talk to. She
- 54:23Speaker 1: listens to him. Yeah, that was a very telling line.
- 54:27Speaker 1: And you had every right to be furious and humiliated.
- 54:30Speaker 1: He's not listening to you. She listens to him. But
- 54:34Speaker 1: he's not listening to you at all. And where he
- 54:36Speaker 1: wants your support? Where's his support? You're the one running
- 54:39Speaker 1: around with the boys making sure they're at all of
- 54:41Speaker 1: their practices and games. Isn't that something that usually the
- 54:46Speaker 1: dad does or you guys do together? You both support
- 54:49Speaker 1: your children. Meanwhile he's at the club, hanging out, doing
- 54:53Speaker 1: his thing with his secretary. No, this is wrong, and
- 54:55Speaker 1: your and your husband is wrong. He's not supporting you
- 54:58Speaker 1: as a black woman, as a black wife, as a mother,
- 55:01Speaker 1: as a lover, all of these things. Okay, he's wrong.
- 55:05Speaker 1: He needs to get it together, and I'm all for
- 55:07Speaker 1: you ringing his next Steve, Well, let's start with this.
- 55:10Speaker 1: Ringing his neck ain't gonna do it. Damn good. All
- 55:16Speaker 1: he gonna do is go over there and get his
- 55:18Speaker 1: neck rubbed. Now, you already ain't listening to him, so
- 55:22Speaker 1: he sayd she easy to talk to because she listens.
- 55:30Speaker 1: Here you is ringing next. Now I got to go
- 55:34Speaker 1: over him and get my neck rubbed out by the
- 55:38Speaker 1: same hellel that's talking to me and listening, pushing me.
- 55:44Speaker 1: You're just making it easy for the clean up woman
- 55:51Speaker 1: to get your man's love. Oh no, that song was
- 55:57Speaker 1: written for you. Now let me walk you through it. Steve,
- 56:02Speaker 1: you wrong on this one. Whatever, it's a letter the
- 56:07Speaker 1: people wrong for that. You and your husband have a
- 56:15Speaker 1: great social life. We used to focus on keeping romance
- 56:18Speaker 1: alive in our marriage. Well you ain't gonna do that
- 56:19Speaker 1: no more. See you don't have to focus on keeping
- 56:22Speaker 1: it alive no more. Oh his ear is his live here,
- 56:28Speaker 1: dinner out, drinking, his social life. He's live. But your
- 56:34Speaker 1: boys is active in sports. Who it's hard to find
- 56:36Speaker 1: time to hang out together. Uh, it ain't affected my
- 56:40Speaker 1: husband's social life. I told you that he still hang
- 56:43Speaker 1: out out to work, and I got a big issue
- 56:45Speaker 1: with who he's spending this time with. He going out
- 56:47Speaker 1: with his secretary to have a quick dinner or just
- 56:50Speaker 1: grab a drink. I don't know who you are. I
- 56:54Speaker 1: can't call my wife and go baby, I ain't coming home.
- 56:58Speaker 1: I'm going to grab some dinner a quick drink with
- 57:01Speaker 1: this girl. Dog. Say that out loud, act like you're
- 57:10Speaker 1: on the phone. Baby, it's me. Hey, how you doing? Hey, listen,
- 57:14Speaker 1: I'm gonna go grab some dinner and we're gonna stop
- 57:18Speaker 1: and ask some drinking. I'm gonna be a little day,
- 57:20Speaker 1: all right, take it easy. And how does that sound crazy?
- 57:26Speaker 1: So after they did it a couple of times, the
- 57:30Speaker 1: first couple of times the two them went out, you
- 57:33Speaker 1: went up to the school and had a talk with
- 57:37Speaker 1: both of them. When we come back, what happened when
- 57:43Speaker 1: you went up to the school to talk with both
- 57:47Speaker 1: of them? Well, I tell you what happens. It ain't
- 57:52Speaker 1: go like your thought, did it. We come back, we're
- 57:56Speaker 1: gonna go over what God said to your faith, what
- 58:01Speaker 1: you miss that didn't get said to your face. Let
- 58:05Speaker 1: the chests say amen, Amen, all right? Coming out Part
- 58:09Speaker 1: two of Steve's response to my husband's supportive secretary at
- 58:13Speaker 1: twenty three after the hour, right after this, you're listening,
- 58:20Speaker 1: all right, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letters subject my
- 58:23Speaker 1: husband's supportive secretary. They used to have a social life,
- 58:28Speaker 1: they worked on in everything. But they got these two boys.
- 58:31Speaker 1: They had sports, so you relegated yourself to taking them
- 58:34Speaker 1: to all the sporting events and have practices and everything.
- 58:37Speaker 1: The husband his social life good because he going out
- 58:41Speaker 1: after work then a drinks and you don't like who
- 58:44Speaker 1: he's going out with because he told you. Now, I
- 58:47Speaker 1: don't know who this stupid as a husband is you
- 58:49Speaker 1: as you're married. But it ain't no where in the world.
- 58:52Speaker 1: I'd have told you about no woman I was going out. Yeah,
- 58:54Speaker 1: I would have been with some boys and anything. You'd
- 58:57Speaker 1: have been driving no place. It wouldn't have been nobody
- 58:59Speaker 1: in there but me, And I'd have told you me
- 59:01Speaker 1: and my boys and were down at the sports club
- 59:05Speaker 1: or the sports bars. Ain't the way in the world.
- 59:08Speaker 1: I'd have told you that I go to have dinner
- 59:10Speaker 1: with my secretary and we grab a drink. Now his
- 59:13Speaker 1: secretary is married too, but her kids has grown them
- 59:17Speaker 1: so she ain't got to rush home after work. Now
- 59:19Speaker 1: they went out together a couple of times. Then you
- 59:22Speaker 1: went up to the school to have a talk with
- 59:25Speaker 1: both of them. Now, this is what she told the
- 59:28Speaker 1: lady when she got up to the school. We are
- 59:31Speaker 1: merely co workers and good friends that can tell each
- 59:35Speaker 1: other anything. This woman had the audacity to tell you,
- 59:42Speaker 1: the wife of this guy. We go out, we have lunch.
- 59:46Speaker 1: We good friends that can tell each other anything. So
- 59:52Speaker 1: I guess the part about him being married to his
- 59:55Speaker 1: best friend. I guess that going out the bar, that's
- 59:58Speaker 1: just going out the winter because he's got an new
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: friends were good friends that could tell each other anything.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: And then he told me I should not have come
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: up there, and that that was nothing. Go you shouldn't
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: have came up hill talking to both of us, right,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: chew up hill fault. Ain't nothing going on now. Later,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: when he got home, he came in the dough mad
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: with you, like he posted, because what I hadn't told you. Ladies,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: the best defense is a good office. You're gonna just
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: come up to the school, yeah, or you come up
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: to the school like you crazy? Not crazy? You look,
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: you know what the people saying when you walked out
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: of there. Yea rolling one role in the back of
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: your head. You forgot to take out. Then you're all
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: up at the school coat open. You don't toew it
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: getting out the car, sitting up in here, lipstick all
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: over all over your TeV. You don't got mad, tried
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: to put it on in the car. Stoplights just up
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: in here and bassing me. Shouldn't have came up in here.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: Ain't got nothing going on. Now I'm home now, and
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: I got news for you. He told her that I
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: don't support who he is as a black man. Now
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: you're going to dinner with your second time having drinks
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: and dinner. Really ain't got nothing to do with you
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: being a black man. I appreciate that. Really white man,
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: Filipino man, Chinese man, Latino man, any of us that
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: go to dinner and without secondary it ain't got nothing
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: to do with being a good, strong Latin. It has
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: nothing to do but a wonderfully strong Asian. It ain't
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: got nothing to do with that. So quit tripping. He lying.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: But then he said, and the secretary easy to talk to.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: She listens to me, she said. I was furious and humility.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: She didn't be really hurt, but it made him mad
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: that he had the gall to say it, because he's crazy.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: I don't I don't know who you mad too, And
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: it's stupid behind. He wanted them over educated dudes. He's
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: so damn he's so damn smart. He dumb. I'm going
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: out to dinner with this woman. We haven't dinner and drinks.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: Then you come up down talk about I talked to
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: about what she said. We talked about it. They yeah,
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: it could because she listens to me. Meanwhile, he's hanging
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: out after work. I'm running around with our boys making shore.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: They at all they practices and games, but I'm not supported.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: I really need some good advice before I ring his neck.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: First of all, what you're gonna when you say ring
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: his neck with that man? It ain't gonna stop nothing.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: You already mad. You came up to the school, they're
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: still going out after here's your only hope, and this
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: is what you're gonna do. And I know you didn't
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: already thought it, because if you don't wrote the letter
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: women think of everything. I know you're gonna call her
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: huss already. Oh he get married? Do you think that
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: I already notice what she gonna do? Dog, shedn't love
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: this lot of sheepings in there and stuff about her
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: damn sulf. Oh everybody didn't know about this dog. I
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: don't see, I ain't seen. Nobody won't do that. Oh
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: did your husband know y'all going out to eat and drinks?
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: Of course he doesn't. He understands as part of my work,
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: I'm telling you what husband is gonna agree to that?
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: Nor husband is going to be good? And what wife
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: is going to agree with this? Right? No, So that's
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: why she gonna tell the lady's husband. Now the lady's
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: husband gonna come up and sucker punch the priustle bam,
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: which is her husband fighting at the school. Yeah, then
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: he gonna end up doing some time because he wanted
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: real educated dude. We're squas dude. He came in and
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: punched me. I wasn't looking. I'm they're educating children at
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: all of them. This barbaric man comes up and goes
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: asked me, was I Howard? Of course I couldn't lie.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: I said yes, mister Howard, and plat owl right in
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: the eye. So plat Owl heard my nephew say that, well, aunt,
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: when he was talking to Steve Harvey on his radio show,
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: and he just said plat owl right in my mind.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: It hurt like all heck, And I'm pressing charges. We
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: gotta go email us instam not even if she looks
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: like you've described her, all right, email us or Instagram.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: She looked like me, I'm no good here. Well, he
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: don't want to Today's Strawberry letter at Steve Harvey f M.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: You're listening to stow. Here's a quick question for you, guys, um,
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: do you have a memory or vivid recollection of the
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: first time you met Santa Claus. First time I met
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: Santa Far No, I've seen the pitching, but I don't
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: remember the man. You ain't met the mall. But he
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: never came to my house. I never saw him. My
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: mom would always tell me he had been there, though,
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: and they sat out and talked for a minute. Oh
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: really always Yeah, Steve, you remember meeting Santa Claus when
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: I first met him? Yeah, but I already knew who
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: he was. What happened. I had been told by my
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: brothers and stuff. You didn't go down his white man
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: if it nothing house, So when I met him, it
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: didn't have the joy that you think you would have
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: as a child. But still I liked Santa Claus. I
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: always liked him. I thought his intentions were well. Plus
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: I'm a big Christmas guy, So and why is that?
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: I just I just think it's the dopest holiday of
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: all time. I loved Christmas from day one, the gifts,
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: the giving. You know, see my father, mother face man.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: When they opened up this little worthless ass gift out
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: of bottom, you know, I knew to give wasn't worth
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: for damn. But the way they faked it and act
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: like they kid it meant a lot to me, you know.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: And so I became a big giver of Christmas guilts.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: I've always kind of like that, you know, nice gifts
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: and stuff. But then as I grew older, I realized
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: what Christmas was really about. So it wasn't about the
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: gift giving, no moment, and so it just became I
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: just want to treat. That's all I want. It's a treat,
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: you know, I know, I know the real meaning of Christmas.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Right looking for to getting home so I can see
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: my treat. Haven't seen it? No, haven't seen it from again,
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: I'm not sure where this one came in from. I
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: haven I have a disgusted chet with my wife, but
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: this coming in from somewhere. It ain't didn't get it
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: at wall? Are you mad? From a lot to treat. Yeah,
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: where your treat called frontier names you name excuse what?
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: Excuse me? The markets name market as in predecorated, Yeah, predecorated,
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: Julian Yeah, yeah, wow, all right, all right, well, uh,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: Merry Christmas, everybody. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: According to new research, one in five Americans are planning
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: on giving someone a take the hint gift this year.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: A new survey of two thousand Americans found that hint
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: gifts are pretty common practice, with one in three response
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: and saying, uh, they've given at least one in the
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: past year or so or in the past period. And
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: who is the person in our life most likely to
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: give us one of these hint gifts? Well, research shows
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: it's our own partner. So when Gil Tasha running God,
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: he asks for running shows. But you know what they'll
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: call it. I think it's cool though, because dudes, we different.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: You know, if that's what we want, then I think
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: it's cool. Yeah. I mean, Tasha's real cool. You know,
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: he's real laid back. He's not bagging some running shoes
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: and you know, getting here and do your wifely duties.
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: He'll say something like, yeah, well, I mean, yeah, with
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: some heels on the shoes. Your shoes r you'll not
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: like like in the hood when you see them shoes
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: hanging over them over the telephone. Yeah, and I didn't
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: want to Nessa did ask for the dinner jacket, but
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: I didn't know that it was attached to dinner. Like
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: Junior said off the air, he didn't at least he
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: know he was going to eat. It was strategic. He
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: put that jack. He starts smiling. He really did. He
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: take a picture of him in every today decent he did? Okay,
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: take it. He might get some running shoes too. Okay.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: The most popular most popular hint gift Americans gift is deodorant,
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: what or you do? Cologne? Yeah, self help book? I
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: got your yeah, yes, more than take a hand. The
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: most popular most popular gift is self help books. They
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: scored real high. Also on the list were cookbooks. No,
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: I did not don't get one issue, exercise equipment, Carla,
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: exercise equipment, I know, razors, toothpages, cleaning supplies, and even
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: breath mints. Yeah, well I just bought. I just bought
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: my wife the pelotike. Okay, so she she asked for
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: the bike though she wasn't offended by you getting it? Right?
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: Do you save that for Christmas? Christmas? Oh? This is
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: your stand? He can't get off. But she asked save
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: the Peloton bike for Christmas? Okay, well never mind. Yeah,
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: different incomes, different bracket is different. All right. So Stephen
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: and Junior and Timmy, if you guys had to give
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: someone to take a hint gift, who would it be
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: and what would it be against my sister getting every
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: job application pamphlet I can find since she can't talk
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: about they can't find in the world. I see that
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: high every day. Well, I think we just saw the
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: best take a hit gift. If I pick you up
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: to go shopping and I put your ass in the
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: back seat because my I got another fine chicken the front,
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: that's about a bigger hit gift you can get. What
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: about you? Now, my auntie? Is she listening? I don't
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: think a nice perm box a nice permit Damn. Let
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: this sit for at least twenty minutes. All right, Look,
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: everybody can't win, nowt your hell. Everybody can't do that.
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: I'm sorry, more ignorant more Shenanigan's coming up at twenty
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: minutes after the hour on the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 1:13:52Speaker 1: Thank you you got to help the holiday to the sea.
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Showing Number one show. If you under radio,
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: come in from you need a Harry and Lawrence Filermo.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: You're listening to show. Well, it's time for Steve's favorite segment.
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: It's called ass the CLLO. Now, Steve, you're ready? Are
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: you ready? Stay ready? All right? Here we go. This
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: one is from Tab at DC. Tab says, I'm forty
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: nine and I'm dating a man that's seventy four. Okay,
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: he looks like he's my age and he's very athletic
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: and energetic. We have a big problem in the bedroom,
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: and it's not what you think. His problem is that
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: he doesn't know when to stop. The sex can go
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: on for an hour and I have to work, run
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: errands and do other stuff, so he needs to wrap
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: it up sooner. He admitted that he's on medication and
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: a side effect is increased sexual desire. Desire. He's called
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: me a lightweight and said I'll have to find someone
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: else that is up to the challenge. I hate it
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: when he says stuff like that. Do you think he's
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: just joking. Well, let's go for that. First of all.
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: First of all, the seventy four and last too long
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: in medication, he's lost feeling in certain areas, so the
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: lasting longest, don't worry. He'd have lost a lot of
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: feel he knew, so don't worry about that. That all
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: that hours and all that. Yeah, you know, you know
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: you need to pick up pay you a lightweight. I
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: need to get somebody else. And the other thing you
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: said was you forty nine and he's seventy four, and
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: he looked your age. Not hold up, You're not going forward.
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: He's athletic and energetic. She says, he's seventy four, and
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: he looked your age. Ah, he's seventy four, and you
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: look his age. I didn't think about that. Well, I
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: looked at all of it when you asked me something.
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: We're in here problems because he might not be all
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: that athletic and energetic. Just your ass is older than
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: forty nine physically, and maybe that's what the problem is.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: Maybe you thinking he more thing he really is because
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: you ain't what you're saying you are. Let the church say, man,
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: let me sometimes the answer is in your own damn question.
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: I believe her. Maybe she ain't athletic. She ought to
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: get athletics, she would be more like forty nine, most
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: forty yin your women still got it. So she ain't well. Well,
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: he sat in the forward. He got medication that increases
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: his that's viagral. That's what that is. You know what
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: it increases? What else? What it taking? Once again, if
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: you have something else, sir, please right in this show.
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: This became another second man. Yesterday, some dude took a shot,
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: Yeah a strawberry letter, Yeah, a shot, and he wasn't
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: going through that pain, no mold, Okay, all right, coming
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: up into her last break of the day. It's last,
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: I mean the absolute last break. It is damn day.
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: That's right. And some closing remarks we will have from
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: the one and only Steve Harvey at forty nine minute
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: closing right after this. So I like that you're listening to.
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: All right, here we are our last break of the day.
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: It's been a good day. It's been Yeah, it's been
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: a really good day. We got through it has some
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: fun um and yeah up day. That used to be
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: Steve's favorite commercial right there, that camel. All right, Steve,
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: it's time for you to take us home with some
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: of your closing remarks. As always in my closing remarks,
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: I try to mix it up. Yesterday I talked about
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: all comfort and convenience. How in order to build a
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: life of convenience, convenience is built through inconvenience and to
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: build a life or comfortable. To build a life of comfort,
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: you have to be you have to get comfortable with
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: being uncomfortable. And these are just true statements. Now here
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: is something else I want to share with This is
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: a little bit more direct. This is a little bit
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: more This is everybody. People oftentimes ask me Steve, why
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: do you talk about faith? This is just from my
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: own experience. I have no other way to explain how
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: I've gotten to where I am today. Had it not
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: been for my faith, had it not been for my mother,
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: who was a Sunday school teacher, who taught me about God,
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: who taught me about prayer, taught me about faith, who
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: taught me about having a relationship with God. Had it
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: not been for that teaching right there, I wouldn't be
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: here today. Now. There are people who will tell you
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: that they have become successful without a relationship with God,
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: and that can happen. Will it last? No, but it
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: can happen. But the reason it won't last is because
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: there will come a point in time in your life
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: where you will have to know God. And if you
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: don't know him, there will come a point in time
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: in your life where you will wish you did. That
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: will become a point in time in your life where
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: you will call His name as you've never called it before.
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: It happens to us all. It will happen before you
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: leave here. You will acknowledge the fact that He exists
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: now here. The upside, because God is not a god
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: that he wants us to have this life for fear,
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: and oh, my God, if I don't do this, I
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: ain't gonna get this God. That God is really not
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: that way. God comes to give you life and give
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: you life more abundantly. Here's a reason I enjoy my faith.
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: Here's the reason I enjoy having a relationship with God.
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: See so many people I don't want to go to
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: hell and I want. Oh, let's let's let's talk about
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: the positivity of it. That's some good reasons for having faith.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: That's some great reasons for have relationship with God. This
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: relationship with God I have. I feel safe. I don't
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: feel things. I'm not afraid of what somebody can do
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: to me. I'm not. I'm not I'm not afraid of
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: a decision that a company can make about me. I'm not.
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: I'm not fretful of what anybody may think about my income.
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: I feel safe. I'm also I'm reassured that when something
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: goes contrary to what I thought was gonna happen, guess what,
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: I'm reassured because of my faith in my relationship with God,
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: that that too go work out on my behalf. Also,
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: I enjoyed this relationship because I have a constant guide.
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: I constantly can ask God for guidance and he'll give
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: it to me. My guide happens to be a king.
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: But this king is also my best friend, this relationship
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: that I have with him, he is my best friend
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: and my king. Man, don't you know it's kind of
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: cool having a king is your best friend? Who can
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: make decisions? Man, who can help you out, who've got answers,
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: who got resources, who has a way out, who can
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: be with you through everything you're going through and never
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: leave you. My king is my best friend. I enjoyed
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: because of my faith in my relationship. I enjoyed having
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: his companionship, a place that I can go to get
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: real answers, somebody I can talk to about anything I'm
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: talking about. Man, I hadn't been in some trouble, I
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: haven't been sick, I haven't been counted out. But because
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: he's my companion, I can talk to him about anything.
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: And you know what I really love about my relationship
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: and my faith. He got answers. He got real answers. Man,
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: he got real I don't care what your situation is,
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: he got answers. There's scriptures written about everything you're going through.
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: There's actually prayers about everything you're going through. You ain't
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: running across nothing new. I don't care nothing about technology
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: and none of that. You're running into nothing new. The
