- 0:01Speaker 1: I wanted to end immediately, and I think if you
- 0:04Speaker 1: add a cease fire, it would be a ceasefire, real
- 0:06Speaker 1: one that would end it.
- 0:07Speaker 2: But he doesn't want to do that. That's fine. I
- 0:09Speaker 2: want it to end immediately.
- 0:11Speaker 1: I want to cease fire now, he says, oh, I
- 0:13Speaker 1: don't want to see spire.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Either we get to end it or let him fight
- 0:16Speaker 2: it out. And if he fights it out, it's not.
- 0:18Speaker 3: Going to be pretty.
- 0:20Speaker 4: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Good Monday morning. Ben Ferguson with you.
- 0:25Speaker 3: It's nice to have you here on the forty seven
- 0:27Speaker 3: Morning Update, and we've got a lot to cover this.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Morning, including number one.
- 0:31Speaker 3: Donald Trump kicks Zelensky out of the White House after
- 0:34Speaker 3: a disastrous meeting.
- 0:36Speaker 2: What happened to cause all this? Will break it down.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Also, the Senate is now pushing to make the Donald
- 0:42Speaker 3: Trump tax cuts permanent.
- 0:45Speaker 2: How much can it save you? I'll have the numbers
- 0:47Speaker 2: as well.
- 0:48Speaker 3: And finally, Zolensky is forced to run crying to Europe
- 0:52Speaker 3: begging for help in a big paycheck. It's the forty
- 0:55Speaker 3: seven Morning Update and it starts right now.
- 0:58Speaker 4: Story number one.
- 0:59Speaker 3: It will go down in history is one of the
- 1:01Speaker 3: most disastrous Oval Office meetings ever by a foreign leader.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Zelensky had one simple thing he had to do.
- 1:08Speaker 3: Walk into the White House, have a nice meeting with
- 1:11Speaker 3: the President in front of the cameras, talk about how
- 1:14Speaker 3: they were going to work together on a deal that
- 1:16Speaker 3: would actually give protection to Ukraine because of a joint
- 1:20Speaker 3: agreement on getting rare earth minerals out.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Of the country. This was easy.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Sign the agreement, say thank you to American taxpayers for
- 1:29Speaker 3: literally sending you hundreds of billions of dollars, and then
- 1:32Speaker 3: move towards a deal for.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Peace with Russia.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Instead, Zelensky decided to insult the President of the United
- 1:39Speaker 3: States of America, the Vice President of the United States
- 1:41Speaker 3: of America, our Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, and the
- 1:44Speaker 3: American people.
- 1:45Speaker 2: So what did it sound like, Well, here's the highlight.
- 1:48Speaker 2: I'm talking about.
- 1:49Speaker 5: The kind of diplomacy that's going to end the destruction
- 1:51Speaker 5: of your country gas. But if you President, with respect,
- 1:54Speaker 5: I think it's disrespectful for you to come to the
- 1:56Speaker 5: Oval Office to try to litigate this in front of
- 1:58Speaker 5: the American media. Right now, you guys are going around
- 2:00Speaker 5: and forcing conscripts to the front lines because you have
- 2:03Speaker 5: manpower problems. You should be thanking the president for anybody
- 2:06Speaker 5: to bring it into this country.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Been to Ukraine that you say, what problems we have?
- 2:11Speaker 2: I have been to come on.
- 2:12Speaker 5: I've actually I've actually watched and seen the stories, and
- 2:16Speaker 5: I know what happens is you bring people, you bring
- 2:18Speaker 5: them on a propaganda tour. Mister president, are do you
- 2:21Speaker 5: disagree that you've had problems bringing people in your military?
- 2:25Speaker 5: Do you think that I respect alarms succumb to the
- 2:27Speaker 5: Oval Office in the United States of America and attack
- 2:30Speaker 5: the administration that is trying to trying to prevent the
- 2:32Speaker 5: destruction of your country.
- 2:33Speaker 4: A lot of questions. Let's stuff from the beginning. Sure,
- 2:36Speaker 4: first of wall, during the war, everybody has problems, even you.
- 2:40Speaker 4: But you have nice solution and don't feel now, but
- 2:43Speaker 4: you will feel it in the future.
- 2:46Speaker 2: God bless you, God bless You're God blessed.
- 2:48Speaker 5: You don't know.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Don't tell us what we're going to feel. We're trying
- 2:51Speaker 1: to solve a problem. Don't tell us what we're going
- 2:54Speaker 1: to feel. I'm not telling you because you're in no
- 2:55Speaker 1: position to dictate that. Remember this, you're in no position
- 2:59Speaker 1: to dictate what we're going to feel.
- 3:02Speaker 2: We're going to feel very good, feel influenced.
- 3:04Speaker 1: We're going to feel very good and very strongluence. You're
- 3:07Speaker 1: right now, not in a very good position. You've allowed
- 3:10Speaker 1: you to be in a word beginning that he's happened
- 3:12Speaker 1: to be right about from the word beginning of the war.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Not in a good position.
- 3:16Speaker 1: You don't have the cards right now with us you
- 3:19Speaker 1: start having right now, you don't wear You're gambling with
- 3:24Speaker 1: the lives of millions of people.
- 3:26Speaker 2: You're gambling with world War three. You're gambling with World
- 3:30Speaker 2: War three.
- 3:31Speaker 1: And what you're doing is very disrespectful to the country,
- 3:35Speaker 1: this country. Far more than a lot of people said
- 3:40Speaker 1: they should have.
- 3:40Speaker 5: Have you said thank you a lot of times you
- 3:44Speaker 5: said you went to Pennsylvania and campaigned for the opposition
- 3:48Speaker 5: in October.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Offer some words of appreciation from the.
- 3:51Speaker 5: United States of America and the president who's trying to
- 3:54Speaker 5: save your country.
- 3:56Speaker 3: Now, maybe the most honest reaction to the disaster that
- 3:59Speaker 3: you just heard was the Ukrainian ambassador putting her head
- 4:04Speaker 3: in her hands in total disbelief of what she was witnessing.
- 4:07Speaker 3: The world saw it, and now Zelensky has walked out
- 4:10Speaker 3: of that White House well early because the President asked
- 4:13Speaker 3: him to leave, saying it's very clear you're not here
- 4:16Speaker 3: for peace now. The President also put out a tweet
- 4:19Speaker 3: and made it clear that he's more than happy for
- 4:21Speaker 3: Zlenzki to come back to the White House when he's
- 4:23Speaker 3: ready to actually have peace between his country and Russia.
- 4:28Speaker 3: As for the money that Zelensky apparently was hoping to get,
- 4:32Speaker 3: not a dime. The meaning not only may cost him
- 4:34Speaker 3: his job in Ukraine, but it also may have saved
- 4:37Speaker 3: you and I as taxpayers, hundreds of billions of dollars.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Now story number two, top Senate.
- 4:43Speaker 3: Republicans, including Majority Leader John fun are determined to make
- 4:48Speaker 3: permanent the tax cuts due to expire at the end
- 4:51Speaker 3: of the year. Now, the Senate Republicans understand just how
- 4:54Speaker 3: important these tax cuts are to you. This all started
- 4:57Speaker 3: back in twenty seventeen, and it's vitally important to the
- 5:01Speaker 3: American economy, into businesses, and to families that these tax
- 5:05Speaker 3: cuts become permanent.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Now.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Why, Well, it's real simple. The Senate Majority Leader John
- 5:10Speaker 3: Thune emphasized that making these tax cuts permanent would protect
- 5:14Speaker 3: hard working families from uncertainty and ensure they can keep
- 5:18Speaker 3: more money in their pockets. He also highlighted that this
- 5:21Speaker 3: move could result in significant long term economic benefits, including
- 5:26Speaker 3: the creation of an additional one point two million jobs
- 5:29Speaker 3: annually and a substantial increase in gross domestic product. As
- 5:34Speaker 3: you know, the House of Representatives recently passed a budget
- 5:37Speaker 3: resolution to advance a comprehensive reconciliation bill that aims to
- 5:41Speaker 3: deliver tax relief to working families. Now, this resolution included
- 5:45Speaker 3: the permanent extension of the twenty seventeen tax cuts, which
- 5:49Speaker 3: is projected to fuel significant economic growth and prosperity. Notably,
- 5:54Speaker 3: making the twenty percent small business deduction permanent is expected
- 5:58Speaker 3: to create one million new jobs and generate one hundred
- 6:01Speaker 3: and fifty billion in economic growth. Additionally, American manufacturers could
- 6:06Speaker 3: see two hundred and eighty four billion in new economic growth,
- 6:11Speaker 3: and there could be fifty billion in new investment in
- 6:14Speaker 3: opportunity zones, which represent some of the poorest neighborhoods and
- 6:17Speaker 3: communities in the United States of America. Now, let me
- 6:20Speaker 3: explain to you exactly what the Republicans are proposing. It
- 6:23Speaker 3: is a simple strategy that would make a four trillion
- 6:26Speaker 3: dollar tax cut over a decade appear cost free using
- 6:31Speaker 3: what is known as the current policy baseline. Now, this
- 6:34Speaker 3: approach would make extending expiring tax cuts look like they
- 6:37Speaker 3: have no associated costs and can help make President Trump's
- 6:41Speaker 3: tax cuts permanent by bypassing standard budget deficit limitations. GOP
- 6:46Speaker 3: centers are pushing this initiative, believing it would be easier
- 6:50Speaker 3: to sell to both lawmakers and voters while simplifying the
- 6:54Speaker 3: budget reconciliation process. Now, doing this on the backs of
- 6:58Speaker 3: DOGE cuts could all also make for a huge positive
- 7:02Speaker 3: economic impact for all Americans. Now, let me also warn
- 7:05Speaker 3: you you are going to see a lot of negative news.
- 7:09Speaker 3: Why because there's many that do not want these tax
- 7:12Speaker 3: cuts to become permanent. They want the government to have
- 7:14Speaker 3: a lot more of your money. Some of the headlines
- 7:17Speaker 3: are as simple as this, GOP wants four trillion tax
- 7:20Speaker 3: cut to look like nothing, and they're putting businesses ahead
- 7:24Speaker 3: of our deficit. Now, the reality is the American people
- 7:27Speaker 3: want to keep more of their money, and Donald Trump
- 7:30Speaker 3: and DOGE are doing exactly that by cutting waste, fraud,
- 7:33Speaker 3: and abuse. But they also believe that you deserve these
- 7:36Speaker 3: tax cuts and they should be permanent. So, in summary,
- 7:39Speaker 3: the Republican effort to make the twenty seventeen tax cuts
- 7:43Speaker 3: permanent are focused on providing sustained tax relief, stimulating job
- 7:47Speaker 3: creation which is good for Americans, and promoting economic growth
- 7:51Speaker 3: across various sectors. So do not buy in to what
- 7:54Speaker 3: you're going to hear from the liberal media and the left.
- 7:57Speaker 3: They're going to tell you this is irresponsible. Well, giving
- 8:00Speaker 3: back Americans their own money may be one of the
- 8:02Speaker 3: most responsible moves that government has ever made.
- 8:05Speaker 4: And finally, story number three.
- 8:07Speaker 3: After Zolensky's disastrous meeting at the White House, he had
- 8:10Speaker 3: to do what many referred to as massive damage control,
- 8:14Speaker 3: going on Brett Bher's show on Fox News Channel and
- 8:17Speaker 3: trying to immediately say he was quasi sorry for what happened,
- 8:21Speaker 3: and we have a great relationship with the United States
- 8:24Speaker 3: of America. Well, the one reality that came out of
- 8:26Speaker 3: this meeting is is not another dime of funding is
- 8:29Speaker 3: going to the Ukraine war effort. And that meant that
- 8:32Speaker 3: Zolensky had to run to Europe and cry and beg
- 8:36Speaker 3: for new funding. Now it looks like many in Europe
- 8:39Speaker 3: are willing to give him cash with different conditions. We're
- 8:44Speaker 3: also seeing once the US's tax dollars dried up for
- 8:48Speaker 3: Ukraine that now Europe is starting to get a little
- 8:51Speaker 3: bit more creative about the money they're willing to give him.
- 8:54Speaker 3: A perfect example on this is the fact that once
- 8:58Speaker 3: Ukraine said that they could no longer count on military
- 9:01Speaker 3: or political support from the US after Trump declared himself
- 9:04Speaker 3: neutral in negotiations, Europe said, We're gonna step in and
- 9:09Speaker 3: we may release as much as two hundred billion euros
- 9:12Speaker 3: or two hundred and seven billion dollars in US terms
- 9:16Speaker 3: in seized Russian assets to help fund the war effort
- 9:21Speaker 3: in Ukraine.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Quote, the immediate goal.
- 9:24Speaker 3: Of the meeting in London must be to keep Ukraine
- 9:26Speaker 3: in the fight so it can negotiate from a maximum
- 9:29Speaker 3: position of strength. And European leaders are now pledging to
- 9:33Speaker 3: increase military spending as well. Once American tax dollars were
- 9:37Speaker 3: taken off the table by Donald Trump, The UK Prime
- 9:40Speaker 3: Minister pledged this week taboost military spending to two point
- 9:44Speaker 3: five percent of gross domestic product by twenty twenty seven.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Other European nations are following suit. The Chez Prime Minister
- 9:52Speaker 3: said Saturday that Europe faces a historic test and has
- 9:56Speaker 3: to look after itself. He said European countries have to
- 9:59Speaker 3: increase their own arm spinning to reach at least three
- 10:01Speaker 3: percent of GDP, saying if we don't increase our effort
- 10:05Speaker 3: fast enough and let the aggressor dictate its conditions, we
- 10:09Speaker 3: won't end up well. Even French Prime Minister Macrone said
- 10:14Speaker 3: it was legitimate for the US to shift its focus
- 10:17Speaker 3: to dealing with China and Asia. Also called for more
- 10:20Speaker 3: defense spinning as he called for unity among his neighboring
- 10:23Speaker 3: European countries. So as Donald Trump made good on a promise,
- 10:28Speaker 3: an important promise to get us out of these never
- 10:31Speaker 3: ending wars and your tax dollars staying at home, UK
- 10:35Speaker 3: France and Ukraine are now agreeing to work on a
- 10:38Speaker 3: ceasefire plan for Russia's war in Ukraine. In fact, Britain
- 10:43Speaker 3: and France and Ukraine after a meeting, said that they
- 10:46Speaker 3: will then quote present the plan to the United States.
- 10:50Speaker 3: The British Prime Minister said that he is prepared to
- 10:53Speaker 3: host the summit with European leaders discuss ending the war
- 10:57Speaker 3: and then get a stamp of approval from the United
- 10:59Speaker 3: State dates of America. Now, the best part is all
- 11:02Speaker 3: of this is happening because we pulled money instead of
- 11:06Speaker 3: giving money to Zelenski, and the President stood up to
- 11:09Speaker 3: Zelensky and now he's forced to go beg for money
- 11:12Speaker 3: from other parts of the world. Now, as America also
- 11:15Speaker 3: says we're done, the summit has now expanded in Europe
- 11:19Speaker 3: to deal with the issue with Ukraine and Russia. Who
- 11:23Speaker 3: is going to be at the summit France, Germany, Denmark, Italy,
- 11:28Speaker 3: the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Canada, Finland, Sweden, Chez Republic
- 11:34Speaker 3: and Romania. The Turkish Foreign Minister, NATO Security General and
- 11:40Speaker 3: the President of the European Commission and European Council will
- 11:43Speaker 3: also attend. And they're all there to now start writing
- 11:47Speaker 3: checks since America under Donald Trump's leadership said no more
- 11:51Speaker 3: free ride from US.
