Latest / The Lila Rose Show / E216: Pentagon Releases UFO Evidence—Could Aliens Have Souls? w/Fr Spitzer | Lila Rose Show
Transcript
- 0:00The Pentagon just declassified 3 UFO videos taken by Navy pilots.
- 0:04Father Spitzer, do you think that the declassified sightings
- 0:08indicate intelligent life forms outside of our Galaxy that are
- 0:12visiting us? If they really are what we think
- 0:15we're seeing. If aliens exist, would they be
- 0:17made in the image of God? If they had interstellar travel
- 0:20technology, they could destroy us in a in a nanosecond.
- 0:23And they could of course do mental manipulation too.
- 0:25I mean. Could we be enslaved right now
- 0:27and we don't know it? Let's gain this out a little
- 0:29bit. So based on what you're saying,
- 0:31let's just theorize here. Is there scientific proof for
- 0:35aliens? If aliens are real, what does
- 0:37that mean for how we should interact with them?
- 0:39Are they among us? How do we know if they are?
- 0:42Do they have souls? If you're a Christian, should
- 0:45you try to convert an alien? And how would you even do that?
- 0:49We explore these questions and so many more with the brilliant
- 0:51Father Robert Spitzer on today's episode of the Lila Rose Show.
- 0:54Father Robert Spitzer is a philosopher and a physicist.
- 0:57He's the author of multiple books and the head of the Magic
- 0:59Center for Faith and Reason. He's also the former president
- 1:02of Gonzaga University. We also look at some of the
- 1:04footage that has been released from Navy pilots who are
- 1:09tracking unidentified foreign objects that cannot be explained
- 1:13by any natural cause. And we get Father Spitzer's
- 1:17analysis of whether these are actual alien craft or lasers.
- 1:22We have a bet going actually, throughout this episode, and
- 1:24you'll see where we land by the end of it.
- 1:25As always, don't forget to subscribe to the show wherever
- 1:28you listen to your podcast. And if you're here on YouTube,
- 1:30make sure you are subscribed and hit that notification bell.
- 1:33I hope you enjoy. Thanks so much for coming back,
- 1:35Father Spitzer. What do you mean no?
- 1:37This is great. It's always so good to see you.
- 1:39Thank you for being here. We were talking last time about
- 1:42consciousness, which was fascinating.
- 1:45We are talking today about UFOs, unidentified foreign objects,
- 1:51and there was this congressional hearing a few months ago about
- 1:56UFOs and experts testifying about seeing UFOs before the US
- 2:00Congress. We're going to take a listen and
- 2:02then hear your take on all these things because it's very
- 2:06fascinating. I also need to let people know
- 2:08Father Spitzer has actually given talks across the country
- 2:13on Catholicism, of course, but also UFO's and Catholicism,
- 2:17UFO's and the Christian faith. So how should Christians think
- 2:20about aliens? So we're going to get into that
- 2:23in today's episode. What got you interested Father
- 2:26Spitzer in UFO's? Well, you know, obviously, you
- 2:29know, when you're doing apologetics as I do in, in, in
- 2:33some fashion or another, you know, you, you read these, you
- 2:37know, sometimes these cases, well, you know, in this Bible,
- 2:40this, this explanation happened because of UFOs or this miracle
- 2:44happened by aliens or this thing happened, you know, and, and
- 2:48after a while you go, oh, you know, you know, this is just
- 2:53overwhelming. There's not a single bit of hard
- 2:56evidence. Now there is visual evidence,
- 3:00but you know what I mean, if I could just see some kind of an
- 3:03alloy that was unproducible, you know, on the earth, but somehow,
- 3:08you know, would show, you know, an alien intelligence.
- 3:12It would have to have, you know, a super AI to to discover this
- 3:16ally alloy and and build it. Or if I could just find some
- 3:20technology that could show me, you know, a way of avoiding, you
- 3:25know, the, the obvious catastrophes that would come
- 3:28from trying to, you know, drive it, you know, interstellar
- 3:32spaces and intergalactic spaces. You know, if I could just
- 3:35anything, you know, I, I'd be a believer, but I just never could
- 3:40find it. But of course, there is a lot of
- 3:41visual evidence. And that evidence is brought
- 3:44about by people who do claim, you know, that UFOs are doing
- 3:49things. But the problem is, a lot of the
- 3:51things the UFOs are doing may well be within the capacity of
- 3:56human technologies that we do not know of yet, and even
- 4:01experimental. Interesting.
- 4:03So I mean, I, I have to say, you know, for example, some of the
- 4:06movements, you know, that you see that that sometimes look
- 4:09like that's unduplicatable. Yes, it's an unduplicatable by a
- 4:14jet aircraft, for example. It couldn't do that because a
- 4:17jet aircraft has momentums. It doesn't have the ability to
- 4:21isolate into, you know, but if you could, you know, find a, a
- 4:24way of utilizing some forces, you know, including a
- 4:28gravitational force, you know, and, you know, finding ways of
- 4:33actually manipulating that, you might be able to pull off some
- 4:37of these unusual things, but there could be visitations and
- 4:40so. Let's take a look at what these
- 4:42you mentioned there been some visible signs of UFOs we haven't
- 4:46found sort of like materials that indicate otherworldly
- 4:50essentials of some kind. But this is actual experts
- 4:54testifying at a congressional hearing just a few months ago on
- 4:56UFOs. So let's take a listen and then
- 4:58I'm excited to hear your take on this.
- 5:01Again, we were, we have this very cool PowerPoint from Father
- 5:04Spitzer from these talks that he's given on UFOs and what that
- 5:08means for the soul, for Christianity, for people of good
- 5:12conscience. So a lot to unpack here, but
- 5:14let's start with this hearing from experts at at Congress.
- 5:19Here we go. It's a question a lot of folks
- 5:21have been asking for decades. Is there intelligent alien life?
- 5:26And if so, has the government been covering it up?
- 5:29Well, that was actually the hearing, a focus of a hearing
- 5:32yesterday by a House Oversight committee.
- 5:33AB CS Capitol Hill correspondent Ryan Nobles joins us from
- 5:37Washington with the latest on this ongoing debate.
- 5:40And there was some surprises in that hearing yesterday.
- 5:42Ryan Yeah, that's right. Craig Yesterday's hearing, ex
- 5:45government and military officials suggested it that may
- 5:48be the case that there are intelligent beings that live off
- 5:52off of the planet. Witnesses.
- 5:53Witness testimony included a range of stories related to UFOs
- 5:57and Uaps, which stands for unidentified anomalous
- 6:01phenomenon. One former Navy Admiral said
- 6:04that he had confirmation of them in 2015 when he remembers
- 6:08getting an e-mail from US Fleet Force Command.
- 6:11The video showed a flying object by a Navy aircraft doing
- 6:15exercises, noting that there were several mid near mid air
- 6:19collisions. The next day, he said the e-mail
- 6:22mysteriously disappeared from his and others accounts.
- 6:25No explanation was ever provided by from from another Defense
- 6:29Department official, and they claimed that the US and its
- 6:32adversaries were hiding away UAP Technologies.
- 6:36Take a listen to what he had to say.
- 6:39Let me be clear, UAP are real. Advanced technologies not made
- 6:44by our government or any other government are monitoring
- 6:46sensitive military installations around the globe.
- 6:49I believe we are in the midst of a multi decade secretive arms
- 6:52race, one funded by misallocated taxpayer dollars and hidden from
- 6:57our elected representatives and oversight.
- 6:59Bodies for many years. Now, this witness urged the new
- 7:02Trump administration to have more transparency, saying that
- 7:05he believes that Americans can handle the truth.
- 7:08We've reached out to the Pentagon for comment, but we've
- 7:10not heard back. Craig.
- 7:12So many questions. All right.
- 7:13Do you think, Father Spitzer, do you think we are in an
- 7:16unidentified secret, unidentified objects, secret
- 7:20arms race, potentially with other countries or aliens?
- 7:25Well, we're not in an arms race with the aliens.
- 7:27Believe me. If they have the capacity for
- 7:29interstellar travel, they are so far ahead of us.
- 7:33I mean, literally we're talking about a million years or more
- 7:37ahead of us in technology that, you know, interstellar travel
- 7:41right now just to get to our nearest star, Proxima Centauri
- 7:45or Alpha Centauri, one of those two stars right now it, you
- 7:49know, it would take us like it's, let's say it's about 20, 7
- 7:54trillion miles to that star. So that's a trillion is a
- 7:58million million. So if it's traveling in
- 8:001,000,000 miles an hour, you know, it would take us, you
- 8:04know, several years to get there.
- 8:07So I mean, if you wanted to, you know, travel a little less than
- 8:111,000,000 miles an hour, which of course, I, I think we, we
- 8:15probably would be more, less of a stretch, you know, that's
- 8:19going to take decades or or more to get here.
- 8:23But nevertheless, think about that.
- 8:25Travelling at 1,000,000 mph. This is like, you know,
- 8:29exponentially higher rates of technology.
- 8:32If they came here, they'd have a technology.
- 8:34Honestly, they could destroy us. They could destroy.
- 8:37Us so yeah if they had interstellar travel technology
- 8:42they could destroy us in a in a nanosecond they they they would
- 8:46be so far advanced that they they would know literally not
- 8:49just how to manipulate gravity they would even have the
- 8:52capacity to go through maybe a black hole or do something of
- 8:55that nature that would put them at the capacity of actually they
- 9:00could destroy our solar system and the whole thing you know in
- 9:05a rather short period of time so that's the power of the
- 9:08technology they would have and no arms race we'll ever catch up
- 9:13with that I mean they'd be a million years out of it so.
- 9:16Just to just to kind of put a finer point on that, what you're
- 9:19saying, which is very fascinating is, you know, you're
- 9:21basically saying it sounds like if there are aliens, if these
- 9:24unidentified objects or phenomenon that is being
- 9:27perceived by even Navy Seal's, you know, it's maybe hidden, you
- 9:31know, government communications about this.
- 9:33If that's true, and if it is aliens and they somehow are from
- 9:37some other planet in another Galaxy or star or something,
- 9:41then they would have to be not hostile to us because you're
- 9:45saying they would have already blown us into smithereens if
- 9:47they wanted to destroy us. You know, they just take a
- 9:52series of force fields and literally enslave, manipulate
- 9:56us. And they could of course do
- 9:57mental manipulation too. I mean.
- 9:58Could we be enslaved right now and we don't know it?
- 10:00No, because, you know, it's pretty hard to have the illusion
- 10:03of freedom, you know, even in the sort called matrix scenario.
- 10:07Because as a matter of fact, we do have choices.
- 10:10And right this very minute, I'm choosing to be here and I don't
- 10:14have to be here and I don't, you know, there's nothing that.
- 10:17Sort of unless the aliens work for me and they've manipulated
- 10:20and to do your coming here father.
- 10:23So you have this presentation and so it starts with our alien
- 10:26life forms possible or even probable.
- 10:29And so we just heard some congressional testimony from
- 10:31someone saying, you know, basically this has been, you
- 10:36know, there have been federal, you know, officials who have
- 10:40seen, you know, military members who have seen this really
- 10:44inexplicable phenomenon or they've seen these unidentified
- 10:47objects and they've not been able to be cataloged as anything
- 10:50that they can explain. So they're in the UFO category.
- 10:54Do you think that those are some there there is some maybe
- 10:58spiritual explanation for them like they are seeing some sort
- 11:01of an Angel or you know, a demon even or could it be?
- 11:06What do you think it is Father Schweitzer?
- 11:07Life gets super busy and if you're not getting good sleep,
- 11:10it can be hard to show up for the people who matter the most.
- 11:13And there's nothing like smooth silky sheets or your comfiest
- 11:16pajamas to help you get the sleep that you need.
- 11:19That's why I love Cozy Earth. cozyearth.com has luxuriously
- 11:22soft temperature regulating bamboo sheets and pajamas that
- 11:26help you sleep comfortably and that actually last.

- 11:31comfortable. Cozy Earth even offers a 100
- 11:34night sleep try and a 10 year warranty on all their beddings.
- 11:39That means if you don't love it, you can get your money back.
- 11:42So get the sleep that you need to show up for the people that
- 11:44you love and get your sheets, pajamas and so much more from
- 11:47cozyearth.com. And right now you can get a full
- 11:4940% off your order using my exclusive code Lila.
- 11:53Go to cozyearth.com/lila. That's cozyearth.com/lila for
- 11:5940% off. What do you think it is?
- 12:02Well, if they're angelic, they certainly don't need to be in a
- 12:05spacecraft. So I mean, the idea of, you
- 12:07know, an angelic being coming into spacecraft is kind of
- 12:10ludicrous. Why would they slow themselves
- 12:13down when they already have telepathy capable of surpassing
- 12:16anything that, you know, one of our or one of an advanced
- 12:20civilization spacecraft could do?
- 12:22So the first thing is, is I, I would say a purely spiritual
- 12:25nature, no way would they need a spacecraft.
- 12:29Why slow yourself down? You know, so that that's the
- 12:32first thing. The second thing is, and do I
- 12:35think it, it could be an event, so it could be.
- 12:38But let's face facts, they would have to have 5 elements of human
- 12:43intelligence that go beyond physical processes and
- 12:46structures. So #1 they'd have to be
- 12:49self-conscious. In other words, aware of their
- 12:52awareness and if they, you know, had the capacity to get
- 12:55themselves getting themselves all at the same time with the
- 12:58same faculty, then they already, you know, have, you know,
- 13:04something that's totally beyond physical processes and
- 13:06structures, right? So they would, if they're like
- 13:08us in self consciousness, they've already got self
- 13:12self-conscious. They have a soul.
- 13:14You just cannot explain this with a physical organic system.
- 13:17Physical organic system is limited by the speed of light
- 13:20and a variety of other things that you cannot be with
- 13:23self-conscious. The second thing is the whole
- 13:25problem of abstract consciousness, the capacity to
- 13:29abstract groups, you know, or relationships or relationships
- 13:33among relationships, etcetera of these kinds of things like AI
- 13:38will never be able to duplicate this right a a physical process
- 13:41and structure will not be able to do it.
- 13:43AI will never know what a group is really like and be able to,
- 13:46you know, manipulate it in our way of doing mathematics or what
- 13:50we call trans algorithmic mathematics.
- 13:53As you know, Kurt Curdell that the the the big German
- 13:57mathematician would have already predicted.
- 14:01I mean ghetto has this incompleteness theorem that
- 14:03pretty much shows that AI will never be able to replicate what
- 14:08we do. Quantum computing is not the
- 14:10answer because at the end of the day, quantum computing will not
- 14:14get you to the point of being able to abstract something that
- 14:18can only be held in a spiritual entity, a group, a relationship,
- 14:22etc. Is not linked to a specific
- 14:25individual physical thing. And just to be clear, you're
- 14:28saying that these are aspects of what it would take for these to
- 14:32be actually intelligent creatures?
- 14:34They'd have to have a soul is what I'm saying.
- 14:36They'd have to have a soul because they'd be
- 14:38self-conscious. They'd have to have a soul
- 14:40because they'd have to be able to do mathematics like we do
- 14:44mathematics, not like AI judgment.
- 14:46So if that like spaceship type object you're saying yeah was
- 14:50real, let's say, not some visual illusion or some sort of human
- 14:55made technology that we don't know about, whatever, then it
- 14:58would have had to have been created by an intelligent being
- 15:01that has a soul, which would be an alien.
- 15:03Yeah, that's right. And I I would say too that that
- 15:06alien being has a conscience too.
- 15:08Because honestly, why wouldn't you enslave us?
- 15:12Why wouldn't you just take advantage of us?
- 15:15Why wouldn't you? Just for a pure amusement, you
- 15:18know, just kill us all, you know, because there's something
- 15:22in you that's saying it's wrong. There's something there where
- 15:27they are so unbelievably self restrained, their power
- 15:31advantage over us would be like I said, a million years worth.
- 15:35So, you know, when you're dealing with that, you'd have to
- 15:38say, well, they're not only restrained, but they're morally
- 15:43restrained. They're not just saving us for a
- 15:45better dinner later, You know, they're basically restrained
- 15:50because they're beneficent, you know, and, and so that that that
- 15:54occurs to me. And and finally, you know, I, I,
- 15:56I'm sure you know that, that they would also have to have our
- 16:00transcendental desires, perfect truth, love, goodness, beauty
- 16:04and home. So I think what you would
- 16:06probably find is that they would have, you know, they would
- 16:10desire, like we desire to have the complete set of correct
- 16:13answers to complete set of questions.
- 16:15Only with a genuinely curious being capable of abstractions
- 16:19and self consciousness can you actually have that pure
- 16:23unrestricted desire to know that we have, but that's precisely
- 16:27what's needed for what's called creativity.
- 16:29And we are creative. And they'd have to be
- 16:31exceedingly creative to do, you know, what is being claimed is
- 16:37being done. And then on top of all of that,
- 16:40you know, I, I think they would also have the unrestricted, the,
- 16:43the, the pure, unrestricted desire for what I call
- 16:46charitable love and the pure unrestricted desire for, you
- 16:50know, goodness and, and fairness and at the end for beauty too.
- 16:55So all of these things that they, they would, they would be
- 16:57like us. And I think, you know, that you
- 17:00look at the supposed symmetrical designs, you know, the
- 17:04spacecraft and so forth. I mean it, you know, it's truly
- 17:10remarkably beautiful, remarkably symmetrical, remarkably, you
- 17:15know, good in the sense of, you know, capable of doing something
- 17:18that that could be used for evil or for good.
- 17:21And, and it's being used for good apparently because of the
- 17:24restraint shown. So I, I think, yeah, they'd be
- 17:27like us. I don't think, I think they
- 17:29absolutely have to have a soul. Absolutely.
- 17:32So let's look at this is a Pentagon, the Pentagon's three
- 17:37declassified USOUFO videos taken by U.S.
- 17:41Navy pilot. So let's take a look at this and
- 17:43then I want to ask your thoughts on what these videos in your
- 17:46view prove, if anything, about the existence of aliens.
- 17:49So let's take a look at look at this says the Pentagon just
- 17:56declassified 3 UFO videos taken by Navy pilots.
- 18:00There's a whole fleet of them. Look on the ASA.
- 18:03Oh. My.
- 18:04Gosh. They're all going.
- 18:08Against the wind, The wind's 120 out the West.
- 18:11OK all thing dude. Says the footage shows
- 18:16unidentified objects flying at high speeds through the Earth's
- 18:20atmosphere. The mysterious flying objects
- 18:23remain unidentified to this day. The declassification is meant to
- 18:30clear up any misconceptions by the public.
- 18:35One video was taken in 2004 and the other two in 2015.
- 18:41The videos were taken during training flights and leaked to
- 18:44the New York Times in 2017. the US Navy formalized a reporting
- 18:50process in 2019 for pilots to report incidents at of UFO
- 18:54sightings. This is taken from CNCS report.
- 18:59Father Spitzer, do you think that the, and I know you're
- 19:03familiar with this, do you think that the declassified sightings
- 19:08by these Navy pilots indicate intelligent life forms outside
- 19:13of our Galaxy that are visiting us?
- 19:15If they really are what we think we're seeing and they are not
- 19:21some form of a projected image or something of that nature, you
- 19:27know, in other words, you, you could do something rather, you
- 19:31know, interesting in in producing some kinds of
- 19:35three-dimensional imaging with light that could, you know, look
- 19:40like that, but not have the mechanical apparatus.
- 19:45So as long as we could disprove that they are not, you know, a
- 19:51light projection of some kind, you know, that it wouldn't be
- 19:56produced by, you know, a highly, you know, a fairly sophisticated
- 20:00technology, it would have to be that.
- 20:01But we certainly have the capacity to produce 3
- 20:04dimensional light images into the sky doing all kinds of
- 20:09things. If we can rule that out, then
- 20:13that's probably an unidentified flying object that was probably
- 20:18built or crafted by an intelligence that was a much
- 20:22greater than our own. And, and I again would hasten to
- 20:27add that it's a beneficent intelligence because it it would
- 20:32be quite beyond this if it, if it really did come from another
- 20:35star or another planet, Like I said, their capacity for space
- 20:41travel would be amazing. Did you know that every year
- 20:45200,000 families go bankrupt from medical bills?
- 20:49Even with health insurance? For many people, insurance is
- 20:52simply not working for them. That's why I'm excited to share
- 20:55with you about Crowd Health, which is an alternative model
- 20:58for paying for your healthcare. Crowd Health takes your bills
- 21:01personally, negotiates them on your behalf, and then sends out
- 21:04a request to the community to help cover your bills.
- 21:07The Crowd Health community has fully funded more than 5000
- 21:10medical bills over the last two years.
- 21:12This includes accidents like a young woman in Tennessee who
- 21:15lost her fingers in a boating accident to NICU babies and
- 21:18cancer cases. Keep in mind, Crowd Health is
- 21:21not the same thing as insurance, but it is an alternative model
- 21:24to help pay medical bills and keep your monthly costs low.
- 21:26So go to join Crowd Health today.
- 21:29Use the code Lila at checkout to get your first three months for
- 21:32only $99.00. That's join Crowd health.com and
- 21:36use the code Lila at checkout out to get your first three
- 21:38months for only $99. Join crowd health.com.
- 21:43But can we rule out that it is these?
- 21:45I mean, what's your view on this?
- 21:46Can we rule out that it's not some sort of, you know,
- 21:49intricate, sophisticated light play that human beings are, for
- 21:53whatever reason, doing? And the Navy pilots saw it,
- 21:55whether accidentally or otherwise.
- 21:58It could be some you can do with lasers today.
- 22:01You can project some mighty sophisticated imaging right into
- 22:06the sky. And the fact that this is going
- 22:11on in broad daylight would mean that this would be have to be a
- 22:15high capacity laser capacity laser techniques.
- 22:19And so I, I would say that, you know, there's just much odds of
- 22:24it being, as I'd say right now, I think we just need to rule
- 22:30that out because there is a chance it could be that, but
- 22:34there might be a greater chance that it could be a, a
- 22:37technology. I mean, we couldn't in those
- 22:40films which you see images and you can see very powerful
- 22:47images, you know, in laser like technology that are projections
- 22:54and you know, and so I just don't want to say it's not them
- 23:00until I can find just one little piece of evidence that there is
- 23:04a material substance involved here.
- 23:07It doesn't have to be a fancy alloy.
- 23:09It it could be something else, but you know that, you know,
- 23:12it's constructed and using, you know, some, you know, alloy that
- 23:17we don't know of, but might be within our grass.
- 23:19But the main thing I would say is I just like to rule out any
- 23:24kind of, you know, light projecting, laser projecting
- 23:28technology. And you could have some really
- 23:31high performance lasers. It could do some really fancy
- 23:34imaging. And I just don't want to get
- 23:36bamboozled, you know, because, you know, visual images, you
- 23:42know, they can be deceiving. And we do have those
- 23:46technologies, right? Now, so if it's not, let's just
- 23:48say let's rule it out. Let's say it's not the lasers,
- 23:50right? And let's say that it is.
- 23:53Could it then also be the sort of, you know, this other idea of
- 23:58there's some arms race, secret arms race, not with the aliens,
- 24:02secret arms race with say, China, that's not about lasers.
- 24:07There's maybe maybe it involves lasers, but there's some other
- 24:09technology. And we're kind of running these
- 24:10experiments. There's a secret US program and
- 24:13a secret Chinese program. And so that the these Navy
- 24:16pilots are kind of running into these, you know, demonstrations
- 24:21basically. Well, again, you know, that's
- 24:22the second thing that needs to be ruled out.
- 24:25That was probably less likely because some of the things you
- 24:30know, of where the, the spacecraft so-called is, you
- 24:34know, going, you know, and it's, it's making these really super
- 24:38fast movements and shifting momentum that seems to be way
- 24:44beyond our kind of technology. Maybe we have advanced to, you
- 24:48know, that much and maybe there are some that can do a reversal
- 24:52of momentum on the spot without any kind of residual inertial
- 24:56motion. If that really did happen, well,
- 25:00you know, well, I'd be fooled, but I, I don't think that one's
- 25:03as, as likely. But it's possible that we could
- 25:07have come this far technologically.
- 25:10But it seems right now, given the way we have been
- 25:14manipulating, you know, our physical laws to or not
- 25:19manipulating, but using our physical laws and very creative
- 25:22ways to create a very quick starting moment.
- 25:26I don't think this technology is within our capacity right now
- 25:30and I've seen no indication of it like in research magazines.
- 25:34So is your money on the aliens, Father Spitzer, that these these
- 25:39videos we just watched? This is not lasers.
- 25:41This is not a secret arms race between humans.
- 25:43This is aliens. I think it's really about you.
- 25:47Were a betting man. Oh boy, I'm really 5050 on the
- 25:52lasers versus the aliens, but I guess I might give the aliens a
- 25:57a slight edge. 100 bucks on the alien.
- 26:02Maybe $0.50 Fifty. Cents.
- 26:04OK, well, we'll go with $0.50. So if they are So from a
- 26:08Christian viewpoint, there's no issue with the idea.
- 26:12Theologically speaking, it doesn't contradictory Scripture,
- 26:15it doesn't contradict Christian natural law.
- 26:18This idea that there could be other intelligent life forms
- 26:21besides human persons. Oh no.
- 26:23And besides angels? No, as a matter of fact, if God
- 26:26gave them a soul, and I mean as I said, if they think like us,
- 26:30if they have self consciousness like us, if they have
- 26:33transcendental ideas like us, if they have a conscience like us,
- 26:37which all leads to if they have free will like us, then to be
- 26:41honest with you, they have a soul.
- 26:44You cannot explain those, those five operations with physical
- 26:48processes and structures alone. So because of that, I would say,
- 26:53oh, you know, they have a soul. And so we just have to
- 26:57acknowledge that, right? It's we're not talking about how
- 27:00many exoplanets are there out there so that you can have a
- 27:03bacterial life form or a complex vegetative life form in the
- 27:07universe. I mean, that's certainly
- 27:09possible. So are aliens made in the image
- 27:12of God then? If aliens exist, would they be
- 27:14made in the image of God? They would have a soul just like
- 27:16us. They would be made in the image
- 27:17and likeness of God. So who's more in the image of
- 27:20God, humans or aliens? Well, I mean, we'd both equally
- 27:24be there. The difference would not be in
- 27:27terms of, you know, do we have greater or lesser power?
- 27:32We have it's, it's a matter of I think a million years of
- 27:36evolution and a million years of knowledge accumulation
- 27:41differential. So I mean, our, our Galaxy, you
- 27:45know, is a pretty old Galaxy by any standard.
- 27:50So, you know, it's about 13.57 billion years old.
- 27:55Our universe is only 13.8 billion years old.
- 27:58So, you know, but hey, you're right in there, you know, you've
- 28:03got 10s of millions of years to play with, but.
- 28:06Do you so are you of the view, because I know we haven't had
- 28:09this debate on the show, evolution versus creationism or,
- 28:12you know, of evolutionary creationism, like God uses
- 28:15evolution to create. And certainly there's elements
- 28:18of evolution that are obvious, right?
- 28:19The micro evolution, I think they call it.
- 28:21And then there's macro evolution if I'm using the correct terms
- 28:23here. I am curious though.
- 28:26So you're saying, it sounds like, it sounds like you're
- 28:28saying given enough physical time, yeah, there is this sort
- 28:34of intelligence development that happens in creation naturally by
- 28:39God's design. And you and you would argue that
- 28:42over maybe a million years, if, if time went on for a million
- 28:44years on planet Earth, would the human person, how do you think
- 28:49that the human person would develop more than we already
- 28:52have? Yeah, I would say that, you
- 28:54know, there would be techniques for probably allowing us to
- 28:56morph our forms. I think that's coming, but you
- 29:00cannot, for example, do the to turn, you know, a human being
- 29:05into energy trick the transporter and Star Trek,
- 29:08right? I mean, if you did that honestly
- 29:10you you would create the equivalent of of enough atomic
- 29:15power to to fuel a city for a year.
- 29:19But sorry to interrupt but just so I'm tracking here, are you
- 29:21saying it's less It's less that the human brain develops
- 29:24superpowers and it's more that we develop technology because
- 29:28the cumulative knowledge of humans over a period of time
- 29:30develops a technology that then gives U.S. special powers?
- 29:34Yeah, our brain is is pretty much our brain.
- 29:37Obviously neural links and things like that will enhance
- 29:40our brain, but the, the, the five functions which our souls
- 29:44perform, that's not going to be enhanced by neural link.
- 29:47It's not going to be enhanced by, you know, having even a
- 29:53million more years of development.
- 29:55Yes, of course our memory capacity can be super amplified,
- 29:59right? And you could do the neural
- 30:02links plus, you know, all kinds of, you know, advantaging
- 30:06children through terrible, you know, the gene manipulation to
- 30:10make sure that the the best, you know, kids with the best memory,
- 30:14you know, come out and they get the best neural links and so
- 30:17forth and so on. And all these things that are
- 30:19put together so that you kind of have a super basis of material
- 30:26basis for memory. That's true.
- 30:29But will you get a true genius from all that technology?
- 30:33No, you will not. Yep.
- 30:35The genius is a property of the soul and you know, all of the,
- 30:40you know, those elements of genius.
- 30:42So I mean, you know, I'm sorry to say it's not Einsteins brain.
- 30:45You know, you can look at Einsteins brain, you can examine
- 30:47Einsteins brain and all I can tell you is it's not going to be
- 30:51a brain that that is, you know, through transfers, cuts, all
- 30:54kinds of things that you can look at it, you can say, well,
- 30:56is this brain special brain that that look like it's a really
- 31:00special brain. Oh, well, maybe it's protein
- 31:01cell synthesis. No, no, it's not really any
- 31:04quicker protein. Well, well, maybe there's all
- 31:06kinds of refinement of tissue. Well, it's tissue, not that much
- 31:09more refined. What is it?
- 31:11I mean, there's something in the soul of that person in my mind
- 31:15that's, you know, what I would call a super creative and and
- 31:19you know, it's not just IQ, that immeasurable IQ, it's the
- 31:24creative imagination, which and I think all trans algorithmic
- 31:29mathematics has to be done by a soul.
- 31:32I think, by the way, I would get confirmation from Kurt Kettle
- 31:35himself. You know, that has, you know,
- 31:37that this has to be the case because, you know, he certainly
- 31:42believed that this could not be carried out by physical
- 31:44processes. He actually believed in an
- 31:47immortal soul because of this very factor, the way we do math,
- 31:51the way we do language. And by the way, I would hasten
- 31:54to add the way we do music and, and you've just got these people
- 31:59who are super creatives and you go, was your brain different?
- 32:03Not really. Well.
- 32:05You know, it's the soul and. And that's.
- 32:08Yeah. Everylife.com is America's

- 33:02The product is amazing. I have already started to use
- 33:04it. That's everylife.com/join.
- 33:07Use the code Lila. I was reading on, sorry to
- 33:10interrupt, but it makes me think of Alexander Havard.
- 33:12Who's this great. You may have heard of him, but
- 33:14he's kind of this, we could call him a personal development
- 33:16expert, but he really writes these spiritual works.
- 33:18And he was, I was reading something he wrote on
- 33:20magnanimity and the openness of the soul to the inspirations of
- 33:24God, really. And he had this comment about
- 33:27the importance of not comparing oneself to other people because
- 33:31that can stunt creativity. And if you try to kind of sort
- 33:35of mimic the even intellectual activities of others, you are,
- 33:42you know, limiting what you might naturally be able to
- 33:44contribute if you allowed your soul to just reach its own
- 33:47heights and not think about other souls and the heights that
- 33:49they're trying to reach. All of us have our set of gifts
- 33:54and you certainly do. And you know, and I have a set
- 33:59of gifts and, and if we just allow our particular gifts to
- 34:03soar, you know, other people are going to have other gifts, but
- 34:06they, they weren't, they won't have your gifts and they, and
- 34:09they won't have unnecessarily my gifts.
- 34:11And, and so comparisons are always very bad news.
- 34:16And I think they're bad news also because they, they get us
- 34:19into a whole way of looking at our lives that success depends
- 34:23upon the accumulation of some kinds of accumulatable things.
- 34:28And so I, I, I think that that is, you know, nonsense.
- 34:33But I do think, yes, you're going to reach a limit because
- 34:38like I said, AI, you say, oh, AI is going to take over the whole
- 34:40world. No, AI can take over certain
- 34:43kinds of functions. It can do certain kinds of
- 34:45things. And it really is amazing.
- 34:48AI is not creative it can be given programs to run and assess
- 34:54huge databases very quickly. So I could give a set of
- 34:58instructions to AI to make me a whole 1000 new alloys that are
- 35:04possible allies alloys. It would take me forever to do
- 35:08that by you know, you know, calculation and so forth and so
- 35:11on. AI does it in a few seconds.
- 35:13You go, oh man, that's, that's fantastic, you know?
- 35:17But at the end of the day, it really doesn't amount to a hill
- 35:22of beans in terms of creativity itself.
- 35:25And by the way, AI will never have empathy either, and it will
- 35:29never have a conscience either. And it will never have self
- 35:33consciousness either an awareness of itself or even an
- 35:36awareness of being aware of itself.
- 35:38He'll never have any of that stuff.
- 35:40I have this theory that AI, I've never really, we've not
- 35:43discussed this on the show yet, but that AI will actually force
- 35:48is a strong word, but it can help at anyways.
- 35:52It could help human beings actually tap into what makes
- 35:55them the most human and make them less of the machines.
- 35:59It's sort of like what the industrial era did to the
- 36:01industrial revolution. Like now it's taking over these
- 36:03functions like, you know, bricklaying or whatever.
- 36:06There's no machinery that lays the bricks.
- 36:08So you can do spend more time on being.
- 36:10Human more time on doing art, quite frankly and so.
- 36:13More time on empathy. More.
- 36:14Time on empathy so instead of seeing this revolution taking
- 36:18place with technology as so it's replacing, you know blue collar
- 36:22jobs or it's replacing even white collar jobs like being a
- 36:25lawyer. So much of lawyerly work can
- 36:26maybe be done by AI. So much of you know financial
- 36:29projection work can be done by AI potentially all of this other
- 36:32stuff. But the good news is that can
- 36:34create more jobs that are more human in terms of art, spirit,
- 36:38the spiritual world, in terms of caretaking for other souls.
- 36:42I mean, think about how we, you know, give daycare jobs or the
- 36:47elderly, we put them in homes. But these are human souls that
- 36:50don't just have physical needs that maybe could be cared for by
- 36:53a, you know, machine, but they have spiritual needs that you
- 36:55need another spirit to attend to.
- 36:58So it's just a theory, but. All of those things are right
- 37:01did to make progress in faith. And oh, just for that matter,
- 37:04you're not going to make any progress in mathematics, pure
- 37:07mathematics, by giving it to AI. You're going to have to have a
- 37:11human being do that. Then you can turn around,
- 37:14program it into the AI to use it.
- 37:17That that's certainly possible. But I mean, the actual coming up
- 37:21with the OR the whole new mathematics, like, you know,
- 37:24you, you, you look at, you know, Einstein and Hilbert, you know,
- 37:28coming up with a whole new mathematics called, you know,
- 37:32the tensor that's not based on really anything that we had been
- 37:38using previously. It's sort of like I'm going to
- 37:40stop doing mathematics up to this point.
- 37:42I'm going to reinvent mathematics in a whole new
- 37:44prolific basis and so forth and so on.
- 37:47I'm just going to, you know, kind of invent a whole new way
- 37:50of doing things. What so happened that that
- 37:52mathematics was very useful for the general theory of
- 37:55relativity, But I can tell you this right now, AI wouldn't have
- 37:57come up with that. And by the way, it's not just
- 38:00artistic creativity, it's tons and tons of areas of
- 38:03intellectual creativity. And then where you are blending,
- 38:06for example, empathy with intelligence or a beauty,
- 38:11artistic capacity with intelligence or conscience or
- 38:15moral reasoning with intelligence or spiritual, you
- 38:18know, you know, capacity with intelligence.
- 38:21All those things are way beyond AI.
- 38:24AI has no sense of of God, no sense of a relationship with
- 38:27God, no sense of empathy, no sense of self sacrificial
- 38:31empathy. What we would call a love has no
- 38:34sense of morality or conscience, no sense of felt nobility or
- 38:38felt guilt, no sense. You know, you can combine these
- 38:42all with, you know, our super creative capacities, which AI is
- 38:46not a super creative. It can do permutations on old
- 38:51creativity and they could do like tons of good permutations
- 38:55and old creativity, but it's not going to come up with one single
- 38:59new like mathematical system or scientific system, etcetera.
- 39:05If we're going to defy, you know, you'll get around the
- 39:08problem of gravity. Or if we're going to approach a
- 39:11black hole so that maybe if there is a wormhole at the end
- 39:14of it, we're going to get through it.
- 39:16We're not going to do it because AI pumped a bunch of stuff
- 39:19through old technology. We're going to have to come up
- 39:22with something that's abstractly and conceptually new.
- 39:28I love that new challenges, new opportunities for creativity
- 39:32instead of having to do the old things again and again and
- 39:34again. Oh yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 39:36Exciting. Yeah.
- 39:37So back to our alien friends who are, you know.
- 39:41But they do. I would say they'd have one of
- 39:43those souls. Oh yeah, I mean, it makes a lot
- 39:45of sense. So going back to going back to
- 39:48Christianity and, and our belief, belief and, and the
- 39:51truth of, you know, God being made in God's image.
- 39:54And you were saying, well, then certainly they would have to be
- 39:57aliens would have to be made in God's image too.
- 39:59What does that mean for salvation history?
- 40:01Because if they are these made in God image beings, souls, then
- 40:07they would have free will. Then they would have the choice
- 40:08to serve or to not serve God. Jesus Christ is true man and
- 40:12true God. So he chose human form.
- 40:14He didn't choose alien form. Jesus chose human form.
- 40:18And So what does that mean for this theory of the potential
- 40:21existence of aliens? Are they saved by Jesus Christ
- 40:25too? Have they made a decision once
- 40:27for all to serve and to not serve like the angels, and
- 40:29they're locked in? What do you think?
- 40:32So first, if if God's going to create a soul so that these
- 40:37aliens can be self-conscious and creative and have abstract
- 40:41intelligence, etcetera, he's not going to deprive them of a
- 40:44conscience. That would be counter to God's,
- 40:47you know, you know, he, he wants them to be good.
- 40:50So he's got, he's going to create a conscience in those
- 40:53beings. He's going to give them
- 40:54transcendental desires for perfect truth, love, goodness,
- 40:56meeting home. He's going to give him a, a
- 40:58numinous sense, an interior numinous sense of himself so
- 41:01that they're going to interrelate with him.
- 41:04He's not going to deprive them of any of the things that he has
- 41:07given to us spiritually, morally, you know,
- 41:10aesthetically, etcetera. So the first thing is, is, is
- 41:14God's going to give him the whole soul?
- 41:17You know, it'd be ridiculous for God to create a being that
- 41:20didn't have a soul that was, you know, capable of intellectual
- 41:22creativity and self consciousness.
- 41:24And then, you know, I'd not give them all the necessities they
- 41:27need for free will of it. So I first of all, God created a
- 41:30soul. He's going to create free will
- 41:31along with it. So if the alien is like us and
- 41:35intellect is going to be like us in conscience, he's going to be
- 41:37like us and transcendental desires, he's going to be like
- 41:40us in the interior religious experience.
- 41:43So all those things will be present.
- 41:44So what's going to happen? Well, the minute that alien is
- 41:47there, I don't care if it's on a planet, you know, in a Galaxy
- 41:51far, far away, right? I mean, the, the, the, the thing
- 41:55that it will be of relevance is will the evil spirit who doesn't
- 41:59have to worry about space-time travel, right?
- 42:01Will the evil spirit be at that alien's elbow?
- 42:05The minute that self-conscious, free willed, you know, with a
- 42:10conscience, transcendental desire and experience of God
- 42:14within him is is, you know, is, is the evil spirit going to be
- 42:18there along with God? Absolutely.
- 42:20You know he's going to be. Angels too.
- 42:22And the angels too, absolutely. You're so sorry to interrupt
- 42:25you, but you're saying so if the aliens have any material essence
- 42:29at whatsoever, then the angels and the demons would have access
- 42:32to them from the beginning of from the beginning of time?
- 42:35Yeah, if they have a soul, then the evil spirit and the angels
- 42:40are going to have access to them.
- 42:42And so I think right there, the minute that alien the baby.
- 42:47Alien. The baby alien, Yeah, that's
- 42:49right. I think right at the elbow of
- 42:51that baby alien, you're going to have the evil spirit.
- 42:54And I mean, that's the whole, I don't know if you ever heard
- 42:56Paralandra by Chess Lewis. That's the whole, you know,
- 43:00thesis is maybe there's a civilization out there that
- 43:02didn't commit an original sin. But my thought would be this,
- 43:07you know, it's, you know, the evil spirit is very crafty.
- 43:11Certainly we committed the original sin If there was
- 43:14another civilization out there. I just have this suspicion the
- 43:18evil spirit is going to say the same thing.
- 43:19Hey, you're not God. You could be God.
- 43:23All you got to do is the following things.
- 43:25You don't have to really obey his commands.
- 43:27I know you know it in your interior.
- 43:29That's all, you know, kind of malarkey.
- 43:31All he wants to do is prevent you from becoming as great as he
- 43:34is. It's all a matter of pride.
- 43:36Just go ahead. I mean that that's going to be
- 43:38very typical, right? That's that's going to happen.
- 43:42OK, let's suppose it, I'm going to, I'm going to say there's a
- 43:4590% chance at that alien. And I have no reason for saying
- 43:4990%, but there's, there's a good chance of that alien, even
- 43:53though they have the same vision of God that we had before our
- 43:57fall, which is an incredibly clear transparent vision of God
- 44:03that really connects us closely with him.
- 44:05You know, you know that temptation.
- 44:08I want to be God to that. First of all, temptations to
- 44:12self, idolatry, which of course brings on all the rest of it.
- 44:16You know, the temptation toward pride and power.
- 44:18I want to dominate rather than serve.
- 44:22It's going to be put to that alien.
- 44:25Now let's suppose the alien does fall.
- 44:29I'm there. I think that God's going to do
- 44:31the same thing with them as he did with us.
- 44:33He's not going to let him fall all the way, you know, as
- 44:37Catholic doctrine says, right? I know Calvinists believe, you
- 44:40know, you have a complete fall, but we Catholics don't believe
- 44:44that we're at least 51% good after the fall.
- 44:47So we've got, and then, you know, there's a foundation for
- 44:50Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ redemption to build on.
- 44:54So I'm going to say, you know, my speculation would be in
- 44:56again, I'm just operating out of theory.
- 44:58And, and sorry to interrupt really quick, but that doctrine,
- 45:01which is so beautiful. I love this, this idea of a
- 45:03concupiscence, but that we were made good.
- 45:06We were made good. It's because if you're made in
- 45:08the image of God, you can't totally destroy that.
- 45:12Even the the fact that the devil exists, that his very existence
- 45:16is allowed by God, there's nothing because good is the like
- 45:20evil is the absence of good. It's the complete absence of
- 45:22good. So you probably have a more
- 45:24eloquent way to say that. Oh, no.
- 45:25But it's it's very. Just to respond to the Calvinist
- 45:27and they're this idea that we're completely filthy, like rags.
- 45:30There's no good enough. Yeah, that would be absolutely
- 45:33impossible. By the way, it would also
- 45:35eradicate your free will. Yeah, You know, and, and why
- 45:38Calvin didn't figure that out, I, I do not know because it's
- 45:40perfectly obvious to me. If you have a really no sense of
- 45:44good whatsoever, you fall all the way so that you're not at
- 45:48least 51% good and your, your predisposition is at least 51%
- 45:52toward good. Even if it's 49% in the other
- 45:54direction, you know, it is still, you would not be free.
- 45:59And so I just don't think Calvin's, you know, epistemology
- 46:03and, and certainly not as bad as you could stand up to this.
- 46:06But the long and the short of it is, though, I think the aliens
- 46:09would, if they fell, they're going to need a Redeemer to
- 46:13answer your question. And could Jesus's redemption do
- 46:16the job? Yes.
- 46:17Jesus's redemption is an infinite act of love.
- 46:21Therefore, it's going to redeem any, you know, sin, any fall,
- 46:27right, of any civilization. So, you know, when our
- 46:30missionaries went off initially, you know, in the, in the 1400s
- 46:34and the 1500s, discovered the New World and so forth and so
- 46:37on, they thought they were going to bring Jesus Christ to these
- 46:40other worlds. Now, today we look at other
- 46:43worlds in a slightly different way, like outer space.
- 46:47But I think we should treat it just as the old missionaries
- 46:49did. You know, instead of going
- 46:51across the ocean, we're going across, you know, huge, vast
- 46:55expanses of space. So you look at that and go,
- 46:57whoa, okay, you know, what would Jesus, would we bring the word
- 47:02of Jesus Christ to these other civilizations?
- 47:04Absolutely, we should. Number one, you can be sure that
- 47:08being already is aware of their fallen nature, that there's
- 47:12something sinful that they feel guilty, they've violated their
- 47:15conscience. They're going to be just like us
- 47:17before we ever heard about Jesus Christ, right?
- 47:20So they're going to feel all the the same things that we felt all
- 47:25that time between Adam and Eve and of course the coming of
- 47:28Jesus Christ. You know, there, you know,
- 47:30there's something wrong here. But at the same time, I'm still
- 47:34free. I still, you know, you know, I
- 47:36can act on the law or not act on the law.
- 47:39You know, I have opportunity to do something I want.
- 47:43And at the same time I am resisting that for the sake of
- 47:47my love of God, etcetera. That kind of thing is going to
- 47:51be present in that alien civilization if it's a fallen
- 47:54civilization. So I'm presuming it's not going
- 47:57to be Paralandra, it's going to be a fallen civilization.
- 48:00But just like in Paralandra, there's going to be a devil
- 48:03figure there, right? And that evil figure is going to
- 48:06try and get the innocence to, to fall to go all the way.
- 48:11But God didn't, you know, leave us bereft, right?
- 48:13He gave, he gives us Jesus Christ, which is such a
- 48:16phenomenal solution, a phenomenal overcoming of the
- 48:20fall of original sin that you look at it and you go, oh, gosh,
- 48:25God sort of, oh, happy fault, as we say in Easter Vigil, right,
- 48:31that gave us through the sin of Adam, such a savior as the Son
- 48:35of God. So you look at that and you go,
- 48:38wow, that's true. God would do that.
- 48:41So what's my responsibility if I find an alien and it looks like
- 48:46he says, you know, I, I certainly believe in God.
- 48:48I really have an interior experience of a being that's
- 48:51higher than me. I certainly have experienced
- 48:53evil angelic entities and I've experienced good angelic
- 48:58deities. And I know just what you're
- 48:59talking about. And I think he would or she
- 49:03would absolutely no right away. You know what I'm talking about.
- 49:08I don't think it would be any mystery like, huh, what?
- 49:11And then even if they had original sin.
- 49:13So I'd I'd catechize them and I I'd baptize them.
- 49:16Well, so do you think though it's possible if these aliens do
- 49:20exist, if these like UFO sightings are aliens and they're
- 49:23super intelligent, obviously because they have technology
- 49:25that far supasusars like you explained earlier, so
- 49:29powerfully, surely they're observing us.
- 49:32They clearly are. And they they know, they know
- 49:35about Jesus because they hear us.
- 49:36They see us, they see our mass, they see our Christian belief.
- 49:40They, they, they've seen maybe even human history.
- 49:42They understand Jesus came into the world.
- 49:45Maybe they witnessed all of it. So maybe they already are
- 49:47catechized and they already are maybe even baptized.
- 49:51How does that work though? Because.
- 49:52Yeah, if they're visiting, that's I was more doing the
- 49:55missionary deal. But if they're visiting us, oh,
- 49:59I think they have witnessed a million Catholic Masses.
- 50:02Absolutely they have a capacity to.
- 50:04Can you? Baptize yourself if you're an
- 50:07alien because you would need to be.
- 50:10How does that well? I don't know if you could.
- 50:13So that would be an issue. Then they would need to be
- 50:15baptized someone. There'd have to be 1 human to
- 50:18baptize at least one alien, and then that alien could go baptize
- 50:21others. That's correct.
- 50:23And then Apostolic succession, they can't do sacraments,
- 50:26certain sacraments anyways, yeah.
- 50:27Oh no, they, they couldn't imitate our our sacraments.
- 50:30They they would need human intervention to do that.
- 50:33So it could be they're kind of hanging out, like, give me the
- 50:35goods. Well, maybe they could be doing
- 50:39that. Or I mean, for example, I would,
- 50:41you know, if I were an alien and I was looking, you know, at the
- 50:44cat. I know I were looking at a
- 50:46Catholic. You're.
- 50:48Very smart. You might be an alien.
- 50:52But you know, I'm looking at the whole scene, right?
- 50:54And I, I'd be thinking to myself that Eucharist makes sense to
- 50:58me, a complete gift of self that's made present, you know,
- 51:03in the, in the, in the, in the body and blood of Christ.
- 51:07I would say that that's something very interesting
- 51:09indeed. Maybe that Eucharistic miracles
- 51:11themselves would be of interest to an alien culture that would
- 51:15just get a sign that there was a transcendent deity.
- 51:19But no, I don't think the aliens, if they have the
- 51:22technology they have, I don't think they'd be trying to play
- 51:25God or fool us into, you know, thinking that they're, you know,
- 51:30you know, that they're gods or something like that.
- 51:33Let's gain this out a little bit.
- 51:34So based on what you're saying, let's just theorize here if they
- 51:38are these beneficent, beneficent beings that are material and
- 51:43soul. So they have souls, they're
- 51:45spirit and material and, and they have a body of some kind.
- 51:49So all these things and they have been to the United States
- 51:52or sorry, they've been to the US and certainly the world.
- 51:54I mean, these UFO sightings were on US soil, I believe.
- 51:57But anyways, they've been all around the globe.
- 51:59Let's say they, they visited us, right?
- 52:02And they have observed our faith because they would have have had
- 52:06to observe our faith. But they haven't made direct
- 52:08contact with us except outside of the movie ET.
- 52:12But they haven't made direct contact with us.
- 52:13So they're not baptized yet? They're not.
- 52:16They've not received any sacraments yet, right?
- 52:19But maybe they've made a profession of faith in their
- 52:21souls. Wouldn't they have?
- 52:23Wouldn't they want to get the sacraments?
- 52:26And wouldn't they then try to communicate with human beings to
- 52:29get the sacraments? Yeah, my my answer to that is
- 52:33yes. And yes, I do think they would
- 52:35want to to get in contact with human beings to get those
- 52:39sacraments. Now, do you know, do I credit,
- 52:44you know, aliens with being present, you know, to to a human
- 52:48being? I think the way that they would
- 52:50do that honestly, is they would try to not look like aliens.
- 52:56They would try to look like us. And I would say that they would
- 53:00try. Yeah.
- 53:01I think they would basically come along and try to become
- 53:08part of a church. They'd look like, you know, you
- 53:11or me and and they they try to go to church, they try to
- 53:14befriend people. They get to know their pastor.
- 53:17They get baptized looking like a human.
- 53:20You know, how could we possibly? Or they would go to seminary and
- 53:24become a priest. And they would become a priest.
- 53:26They could. So would that be a valid sorry
- 53:28to interrupt, but that would so so but even though then they
- 53:31then they're also an alien and then they would maybe die as a
- 53:34human and then go back to their alien planet and then they would
- 53:38go and share line of Apostolic succession and sacraments on
- 53:41their. Alien.
- 53:41They could certainly do all of it.
- 53:44So you could be an alien is what you're saying?
- 53:46Yes, you could, because you could.
- 53:47Be. I mean, that's what you know.
- 53:51We don't know. We don't know.
- 53:52Yeah, yeah. You never know.
- 53:54They'd probably look pretty close because I'll tell you, I
- 53:57bet you they could. They could make a perfectly good
- 53:59replication of a human being. Very transmorphism.
- 54:03Well, I mean, it's deceptive on one thing, but it's deceptive
- 54:06for a good purpose. They they want to be catechized
- 54:09and they won't want to be baptized and they want to be
- 54:12admitted into the church and they want to go to seminary and
- 54:16they're all good purposes. And do I think that the aliens
- 54:20who are here could have such a beneficent purpose?
- 54:24Yes, I do. I I really do.
- 54:26I like I said, I find it amazing.
- 54:28If they really have interstellar travel, why don't they do
- 54:33something really evil for their own purposes?
- 54:37Why haven't their? Why hasn't self idolatry turned
- 54:40them into dominators, A veritable Hitler on an
- 54:44exponentially greater scale? Why?
- 54:48Because they're listening to their conscience.
- 54:51Yes, that's true. They do have an interior
- 54:55relationship with the numinous, with God.
- 54:57Yes, I really think that's true. But I also think they're also
- 55:03learning from Christianity. Or either that, or they've had
- 55:08their own savior on their own planet, wherever it may be.
- 55:13There. So you're saying the incarnation
- 55:16because you're saying earlier the incarnation is enough,
- 55:18right? Oh, it's enough.
- 55:19It's one tracker. So what do you mean by their own
- 55:21savior? Well, let's let's suppose God.
- 55:23I couldn't read God's mind, right?
- 55:25And so let's suppose he did send another savior to another
- 55:28planet. Well, I I couldn't rule it out.
- 55:31But when you say another savior, you don't mean a savior like
- 55:34Jesus, you mean not God, a not God savior like an Angel.
- 55:37I would say so. A non.
- 55:39Yeah. Well, unless he took on a
- 55:41separate incarnation. And so it's Jesus who comes to
- 55:45another the same Son of God just coming to another civil.
- 55:49But he wouldn't have had to be crucified twice.
- 55:51No, he would not have to be. So he's more just going as Jesus
- 55:55to the other planet to preach the good news.
- 55:57He could, because. The one sacrifice on Calvary
- 55:59wasn't. Actually, that's pretty much on
- 56:03the marker. You're right on the marker.
- 56:06Hey, you're you got it. So that's that's.
- 56:10We figured it out, Father, right here, right now.
- 56:14You're right on the marker. Like the theory that they're
- 56:17here and we don't they they've camouflaged themselves because
- 56:20they don't want to create disruption.
- 56:21They know that if they made themselves known in some any
- 56:25kind of diplomatic way, human mankind would just freak out.
- 56:29And so they're not doing that because they don't want to
- 56:31create drama, basically. And so they're here, they're
- 56:35undercover to receive the sacraments, baptism, and then
- 56:39they're kind of quietly going home.
- 56:41Now under that theory, you can make an argument that if they
- 56:44have the power to do that, wouldn't they also, because
- 56:47they're super life forms, you know, super intelligent, all
- 56:49this stuff, wouldn't they have the power to solve a lot of our
- 56:52human ailments? Well, the the one thing is they
- 56:55don't want to, you know, kill our freedom off right?
- 56:58They can't do it for us. So, you know, if the alien comes
- 57:02and says, you know, I'm going to help you out, but basically says
- 57:06I'm going to give you the solution to this problem, you
- 57:09know, and, and they give us a solution to a problem where we
- 57:14don't have to, you know, get our own creativity and morality, you
- 57:19know, aligned toward coming to that solution ourselves.
- 57:23They're going to really undermine our free will.
- 57:26I mean, why doesn't God perform a miracle every two seconds?
- 57:29Lila has a problem, you know but.
- 57:32He arguably you could say there are miracles being performed
- 57:34every. 20, yes. For those that ask and believe.
- 57:37Yes, the. God's Providence so.
- 57:39Why wouldn't it be like exponentially larger, you know,
- 57:43where you could just say, OK, especially going to be blind,
- 57:47you know, and you know, you know, and just, you know, do it.
- 57:51Because of course there's something about being in an
- 57:54imperfect world that is very important to our getting to our
- 57:58salvation. There's something about being
- 58:01deprived, being in an imperfect condition, suffering even from
- 58:05the imperfect condition, that's really important to the
- 58:08purification of our love so that we can get to the point of
- 58:12egoless love, right. And then, you know, inherit, as
- 58:16it were, the Kingdom of heaven. There's something in it.
- 58:18And so the aliens not going to take away something that we need
- 58:23right now, you know, in order. But don't worry, if an alien
- 58:28exists, he has his own imperfections and his own ghosts
- 58:31that he's going to have to wrestle with, right?
- 58:33He's going to have his own, you know, demons as they say that
- 58:37that, you know, nobody gets off the hook.
- 58:40You know, maybe they've mastered ways of getting around
- 58:43earthquakes and so forth, but they're not going to master ways
- 58:46of getting around spiritual battles.
- 58:48Because if those aliens are like us, and they may well be, though
- 58:53they may be, you know, hundreds of thousands of years ahead of
- 58:56us in technology, they're still going to have to fight the
- 58:59spiritual battles, the challenges.
- 59:02I mean, the devil is there, you know, he's going to equal
- 59:06opportunity employer, right? He's going to want to definitely
- 59:10get the the aliens, I mean, you know, tempted, disobedient, you
- 59:17know, a self idolatrous, vain, whatever domineering, you know,
- 59:22and then they're going to have to face these demons.
- 59:24And so nobody gets off the hook. So just because you have an
- 59:28advancement in technology, you're still going to have to
- 59:31fight that urge. And so we all have the, the
- 59:34imperfections. But you know, you know,
- 59:37theoretically though, you're right.
- 59:38I mean, it's a, it's a good question.
- 59:40But if they have superpowers effectively because of
- 59:42technological advancement, and the very fact, like you're
- 59:45saying, they're in our Galaxy and in our planet, is because of
- 59:48these superpowers, which you explained earlier is
- 59:50technologically in advance beyond what we can even imagine.
- 59:54We can hardly imagine, I should say anyways.
- 59:56Then it would theoretically take just one bad day, one bad alien.
- 1:00:03One bad decision to destroy everything.
- 1:00:06Well, to destroy everything on planet Earth because they're so,
- 1:00:09so like, I think about like when like petty criminals in our
- 1:00:14world, right? So there's a human, they're a
- 1:00:16petty criminal. Thankfully, petty criminals
- 1:00:18don't have access to the nuclear codes, right, thankfully.
- 1:00:21And there's a lot of concern about who has access to nuclear
- 1:00:24weapons, right? If you give it to a maniac
- 1:00:26maniac or you give it to a petty criminal who has nothing to lose
- 1:00:30or whatever against, not all petty criminals are, you know,
- 1:00:32bad to the core. But anyways, we would see a lot
- 1:00:35more nuclear weaponry thrown around and every we'd all blow
- 1:00:38each other up. Thankfully that hasn't happened
- 1:00:40yet on planet Earth. But if aliens have the ability
- 1:00:43effectively to blow us all up in a second, the technology is just
- 1:00:46right there at their fingertips. And theoretically, it's at the
- 1:00:48fingertips of virtually every alien because the technology,
- 1:00:51like the nuclear codes to an alien is like the iPhone to a
- 1:00:54human. Yeah, except for one thing,
- 1:00:56though every alien may not have access to that because aliens
- 1:01:00can build in their own resistant technologies to prevent, you
- 1:01:05know, malignant aliens from getting a hold of it and
- 1:01:08utilizing it. So you could actually, you know,
- 1:01:12you hope that the good guys went out, right.
- 1:01:14But you're going to have some good, yeah, you're going to have
- 1:01:16some good guys and some bad guys.
- 1:01:18And so, you know, they can, they can be very preventative.
- 1:01:21But I do think that if you do have mostly beneficent aliens
- 1:01:26with the kind of technological apparatus they can restrain
- 1:01:29others from, from building things, you can actually, you
- 1:01:32know, prevent them from utilizing various powers,
- 1:01:36especially things that have to be, you know, materially
- 1:01:38aligned. But make no mistake about it,
- 1:01:42you know, those aliens for sure, you know, could get a bad actor.
- 1:01:48They could. And maybe they just, you know,
- 1:01:51didn't see it coming. They could have, you know,
- 1:01:52resisted them, but they didn't. Yeah, we could.
- 1:01:55It could really extinguish us. But right now it looks like, you
- 1:02:00know, the majority of the aliens that are here, if indeed they
- 1:02:04are here. Like I said, I need to get the
- 1:02:07the lasers rolled out first. But but let's say that, you
- 1:02:10know, if they, if they really are here, they seem to be truly
- 1:02:13beneficent and they certainly seem to have pushed out the
- 1:02:17possibility of bad actors, the bad actors.
- 1:02:20You know Hey if Lucifer can be a head Angel and he can fall, then
- 1:02:26alien can you know with much considerably reduced power can
- 1:02:31can fall too. Can choose non sarvium and
- 1:02:35basically say I want to dominate instead and make self idolatry
- 1:02:39the the the the name of the game.
- 1:02:41After this conversation, I'm leaning more into the camp of
- 1:02:44the lasers just 'cause I, I, if the aliens are real and all of
- 1:02:50these things seem logically to follow in terms of their
- 1:02:54intelligence, their abilities, their openness to potentially
- 1:02:57Christianity, Whether Jesus shows up for them on their
- 1:03:00planet or they learn about him over here, or Jesus sends an
- 1:03:03Angel or whatever God chooses to do, right?
- 1:03:06I think this idea that we wouldn't know that it would be
- 1:03:09some big secret that they kept from humanity, but they are at
- 1:03:13the same time beneficent and at the same time they have free
- 1:03:17will. So there could be bad actors,
- 1:03:18but the bad actors haven't in any way injured us, You know, it
- 1:03:21just seems a lot of. Yeah, there's a lot of
- 1:03:24assumptions there, but it, it, it could, that scenario could be
- 1:03:29true too. So, but you know, so I, I, you
- 1:03:32can't rule it all out, but I do think we do have to rule out the
- 1:03:36lasers and. We do think we should rule out
- 1:03:38the lasers. Well, no.
- 1:03:39I I think if we're going to prove that these are really
- 1:03:42aliens, we have to rule out lasers.
- 1:03:45And the lasers could produce images that really look like
- 1:03:50aliens. Well, that's why I'm saying I
- 1:03:51think it's lasers. I'm in the laser camp.
- 1:03:53I don't think it's aliens. It's fun to theorize about
- 1:03:56aliens, but it's fun to think you might be an alien because
- 1:03:59you're. But I don't know that that's
- 1:04:01true. No, probably not.
- 1:04:04And he too was pretty cute, you know?
- 1:04:06But it just seems. Is there something, do you think
- 1:04:10that I know you were betting earlier, 51% it's alien, so
- 1:04:14you're on that, you're on that bandwagon.
- 1:04:16Is there any other evidence that you've seen Father Spitzer?
- 1:04:19I know we watched the UFO videos earlier.
- 1:04:21That you think indicates that I. Think that the visual reports
- 1:04:25from, you know, naval pilots and so forth, Navy pilots and so
- 1:04:29forth, probably they, they do have a little bit of of suasion
- 1:04:35to them. But like I said, there's a
- 1:04:36perfectly other good explanation that could be out there
- 1:04:41producible only by human technology.
- 1:04:44So I just don't want to leap into the alien thing.
- 1:04:47The other thing is, is, you know, all these supposed places
- 1:04:50where an alien craft craft has crashed and so forth and yet
- 1:04:53never do we find a single remnant of an alley.
- 1:04:57Now, maybe our government is hiding all this from us, but you
- 1:05:00know, why is it that somebody did not ingeniously sneak out 1
- 1:05:06little teeny piece of whatever, you know, you know, that that,
- 1:05:11that you know, should be available, You know, and it just
- 1:05:14like, OK, if you really had an alien crash site, you know, I, I
- 1:05:19want to see that something. Don't tell me there was one.
- 1:05:23And but we don't have any, you know, remnant of it or our
- 1:05:27government has ingeniously hidden everything.
- 1:05:30It just doesn't make any sense to me.
- 1:05:33But then again, like I said, you know, I, I can be persuaded that
- 1:05:38that you do have, you know, some kind of a visitation that might
- 1:05:43be there. But there's a lot of things that
- 1:05:45have to be rolled out first before I can be positive that
- 1:05:49that they're there. And you know, by the way, you
- 1:05:51know, that the Drake equation pretty much says in our whole
- 1:05:55Galaxy there are probably only 30 civilizations that could
- 1:06:00probably, you know, give rise to life.
- 1:06:03They could. That's a lot, though.
- 1:06:05Yeah, but it's over vast distances that would take
- 1:06:10millions upon millions of years, even at 1,000,000 mph, you know,
- 1:06:16to, to, to get, you know, here to the earth and start
- 1:06:19manifesting themselves. But like I said, you could have
- 1:06:22technological equivalents, you know, I mean, they, they, they
- 1:06:26might have some ability, some super technology that could do
- 1:06:30it. But again, that I need to be
- 1:06:33persuaded. I mean, I, you know, the
- 1:06:35millions upon millions upon millions of travel and everybody
- 1:06:38says, well, I was going to be done by a wormhole.
- 1:06:40No way. I mean, the wormhole won't work
- 1:06:43if because you got to 1st go through the black hole to get to
- 1:06:46the wormhole, but if you go through a black hole, you get
- 1:06:49squished to 10 to the -22 centimeters, which is really
- 1:06:53unhealthy. I mean, basically, you know how
- 1:06:56you got to get out of this problem and your whole
- 1:06:58spacecraft will be squished to 10 to the -22cm.
- 1:07:02So I mean, I, you know, it's not, you know, just saying, oh,
- 1:07:05we're going through a wormhole. You know, this is, you know,
- 1:07:08logically crazy. You'd have to have a technology
- 1:07:11that was just as great as travelling millions of mph and
- 1:07:15still it would take thousands upon thousands of years to get
- 1:07:17here. It is wild to think that God
- 1:07:19created the Galaxy as big as it is and the galaxies and that
- 1:07:23there is this much time and space.
- 1:07:25It's just it's it's mind bending to think about.
- 1:07:27Oh yeah. And and also to imagine that,
- 1:07:29OK, maybe there is only one civilization and it's ours, and
- 1:07:33he created all of that vast time and space and material for and
- 1:07:38we don't even get to see it, but it's all he still wanted to
- 1:07:41create it. And here we are, a little tiny
- 1:07:43planet Earth. Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 1:07:44I mean, Andromeda is our closest Galaxy.
- 1:07:47Take us billions of years, aliens, billions of years.
- 1:07:50It's super fast speeds to get here, you know, again, you know,
- 1:07:54the whole idea of intergalactic travel.
- 1:07:57So you know, you know, it's still up for grabs.
- 1:08:00To be honest with you, maybe I shouldn't have said 51%.
- 1:08:04Maybe I should have just said 5050.
- 1:08:06So I'm not he's down a percentage after this chat.
- 1:08:10No, I mean, there's just so much to consider, you know?
- 1:08:13And like I said, you have to get over.
- 1:08:15Yeah, I need some proof. It's not lasers, you know?
- 1:08:18I really want some. You got to get the proof in here
- 1:08:20Father. Thank you for enlightening us on
- 1:08:23this topic of aliens and for letting us explore the galaxies
- 1:08:30potential extraterrestrial life forms.
- 1:08:33Well, no, thank you Lila for the.
- 1:08:35Opportunity for a little reading assignment for people listening.
- 1:08:38What would you recommend of your work that people can study or
- 1:08:43read or or? Purchase.
- 1:08:45On this topic. Yeah, I have a PowerPoint, you
- 1:08:48know, on the topic that goes into, you know, pretty explicit
- 1:08:51detail about various kinds of things.
- 1:08:53I also have a book called Science at the Doorstep to God.
- 1:08:58And there I have a, a, you know, an explanation of why our soul,
- 1:09:06you know, has those five operations that I talked about
- 1:09:08that require trans physical processes.
- 1:09:11And then in my book, Christ, Science and Reason, in appendix
- 1:09:14#2 of that book, I basically have a whole consideration of
- 1:09:18aliens in light of, you know, the transphysical technology.
- 1:09:23Fascinating, fascinating stuff. Thank you so much, Father
- 1:09:26Spitzer. Always a delight to have you on.
- 1:09:29And thank you for this conversation.
- 1:09:31Gives me a lot to imagine, to think about.
- 1:09:33Thank you. Thanks so much for listening to
- 1:09:36this episode of the Lila Rose Podcast.
- 1:09:38Let me know what you guys think. Is Father Robert Spitzer an
- 1:09:41alien? He's very bright.
- 1:09:42He just might be. Am I an alien?
- 1:09:44Are you an alien? I don't know.
- 1:09:46But regardless of whether we're aliens or humans, we are created
- 1:09:49by a God who loves us and that should give us all a lot of
- 1:09:51peace. And a huge thank you to EWTN
