State Releases First Phase of Glenham Mills Plan
Remediation of small parcel finalized at former Texaco site After asking for feedback during a public meeting in January, the state Department of Environmental Conservation estimates it will cost the property owner $115,000 to decontaminate a 0.67-acre parcel at the former Texaco Research Center site outside of Beacon. The DEC released plans on Wednesday (July 22) to remediate OU-3, the smallest of nine parcels, or "operable units," that make up the 153-acre, Chevron-owned site, now known as Glenham Mills.
