- 0:06Speaker 1: he was alive. We've been hurt badly by this group
- 0:09Speaker 1: of people. He didn't want to do it all over
- 0:11Speaker 1: the place.
- 0:11Speaker 2: We'll get him out. We'll get him out.
- 0:15Speaker 3: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
- 0:19Speaker 4: Good Thursday morning. Ben Ferguson with you, and these are
- 0:22Speaker 4: the big stories we're covering today on the forty seven
- 0:24Speaker 4: Morning Update. First up, Donald Trump, When you thought things
- 0:28Speaker 4: couldn't get more epic, he comes out announces that the
- 0:31Speaker 4: illegal aliens in this country that the worst among us. Well,
- 0:35Speaker 4: they're going to be taking a little vacation to Guantanamo Bay.
- 0:39Speaker 4: That's right. Up to thirty thousand illegal aliens will be
- 0:42Speaker 4: transferred to gitt MO. Why is he doing it, I'll
- 0:45Speaker 4: explain in just a moment. And draining the swamp apparently
- 0:49Speaker 4: is a lot harder than some people thought it was
- 0:51Speaker 4: gonna be. As the USDA Inspector General refused to leave
- 0:55Speaker 4: her office, escorted out that's right, that's the only way
- 0:59Speaker 4: to get rid of her. After defying the White House's
- 1:02Speaker 4: order and Finally, Donald Trump decides to say, guess what
- 1:06Speaker 4: you want to teach critical race theory? Go ahead and
- 1:09Speaker 4: do it, but you're not gonna get any federal funds.
- 1:12Speaker 4: This shaking up the education world big time. It's the
- 1:17Speaker 4: forty seven Morning Update and it starts right now.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Story number one.
- 1:21Speaker 4: You just gotta love winning, and all of us should
- 1:23Speaker 4: just take a moment and enjoy the announcement that has
- 1:27Speaker 4: come from Donald Trump, where he said, guess what illegal
- 1:30Speaker 4: aliens you want to stick around in America? Well find
- 1:33Speaker 4: out what's going to happen to you. If we catch
- 1:35Speaker 4: you with a criminal record. There's a very good chance
- 1:38Speaker 4: that thirty thousand of you will end up in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
- 1:44Speaker 4: The President made the announcement at the White House today.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Today I'm also signing an executive order to instruct the
- 1:51Speaker 1: Departments of Defense and Homeland Security to begin preparing the
- 1:55Speaker 1: thirty thousand person migrant facility at Guantanamo Bay. Most people
- 1:59Speaker 1: don't even know about it. We have thirty thousand beds
- 2:03Speaker 1: in Guantanamo to detain the worst criminal illegal aliens threatening
- 2:08Speaker 1: the American people. Some of them are so bad we
- 2:10Speaker 1: don't even trust the countries to hold them because we
- 2:13Speaker 1: don't want them coming back, so we're going to send
- 2:14Speaker 1: them out to Guantanamo. This will double our capacity immediately,
- 2:19Speaker 1: right and tough. That's a tough that's a tough place
- 2:23Speaker 1: to get out of. Today's signings bring us one step
- 2:26Speaker 1: closer to eradicating the scorge of migrant crime in our
- 2:29Speaker 1: communities once and for all.
- 2:31Speaker 4: Now, Donald Trump clearly playing chess while others are playing checkers,
- 2:35Speaker 4: making it clear that this is a moment he wanted
- 2:38Speaker 4: the entire world, especially illegal immigrants, to think about and
- 2:43Speaker 4: to hear. He wanted us to spread among countries where
- 2:46Speaker 4: people are breaking into the US, letting them know now
- 2:50Speaker 4: that the steaks are much higher for being a criminal
- 2:52Speaker 4: legal immigrant in the US. You could end up in
- 2:55Speaker 4: Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Now, the White House also making it
- 3:00Speaker 4: clear that this is not just a one off. This
- 3:02Speaker 4: is part of their strategy to combat illegal immigrants in
- 3:06Speaker 4: this nation. In fact, the White House giving me this
- 3:09Speaker 4: information today quote locking up dangerous illegal alien criminals is
- 3:14Speaker 4: priority number one, and that is why Donald Trump signed
- 3:17Speaker 4: a memorandum to detain the most dangerous illegal criminal aliens
- 3:22Speaker 4: in Guantanamo Bay. It directs the Secretary of Defense and
- 3:26Speaker 4: the Secretary of Homeland Security to expand the Migrant Operation
- 3:31Speaker 4: Center at the Naval Station Guantanamo Bay to full capacity
- 3:36Speaker 4: to provide extra attention space for high priority criminal aliens
- 3:42Speaker 4: unlawfully present in the United States of America now. The
- 3:45Speaker 4: White House also wanted it to be made very clear
- 3:49Speaker 4: to all of you that listen into the rest of
- 3:51Speaker 4: the world that keeping America safe is their number one priority.
- 3:55Speaker 4: The memorandum builds on President Trump's previous executive actions to
- 3:59Speaker 4: halt the order invasion, dismantle criminal cartels, and restore national sovereignty.
- 4:06Speaker 4: Since taking office, President Trump has already declared a national
- 4:09Speaker 4: emergency at the southern border, deployed additional personnel to the border,
- 4:13Speaker 4: including members of the Armed Forces and the National Guard,
- 4:17Speaker 4: restarted border wall construction, designated international cartels and other criminal
- 4:24Speaker 4: organizations such as MS thirteen and other groups as foreign
- 4:29Speaker 4: terrorist organizations specifically designated as global terrorists, which allows them
- 4:35Speaker 4: to have many more tools at their disposal to go
- 4:38Speaker 4: after them around the world. Trump has also suspended the
- 4:41Speaker 4: entry of aliens into the US and called for enhanced
- 4:45Speaker 4: vetting and screening of aliens. Required the identification of countries
- 4:50Speaker 4: that warrant a partial or full suspension on the admission
- 4:55Speaker 4: of nationals, and Donald Trump has restarted the detention and
- 4:58Speaker 4: removal of aliens who are in violation of federal law.
- 5:03Speaker 4: This while he also resumed the Migrant Protection Protocols also
- 5:07Speaker 4: known as the Remain in Mexico Order, and the end
- 5:10Speaker 4: of the use of the CBP one app. This is
- 5:14Speaker 4: just some of what Donald Trump has done on border security,
- 5:18Speaker 4: but now making it very clear, in a very blunt
- 5:20Speaker 4: pr move that if you are an a legal immigrant
- 5:23Speaker 4: and you are a criminal, if you want to play
- 5:25Speaker 4: that game of chicken with Donald Trump's administration, he's letting
- 5:29Speaker 4: you know there's a very good chance you're going to lose.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Now. Story number two, Draining.
- 5:34Speaker 4: The swamp can be pretty difficult, especially when the people
- 5:38Speaker 4: that you're firing refuse to leave their jobs. Well, enter
- 5:43Speaker 4: Phyllis Fong, the former Inspector General of the US Department
- 5:46Speaker 4: of Agriculture, known as the USDA. She was dismissed by
- 5:50Speaker 4: the Trump administration on Friday, January the twenty fourth. Well
- 5:54Speaker 4: guess what she said, I ain't leaving. That's right. The
- 5:57Speaker 4: crazies in Washington, they'll do anything to keep their power.
- 6:01Speaker 4: And despite her termination, Fong decided to inform her colleagues
- 6:06Speaker 4: of her intention to continue working, citing concerns over the
- 6:09Speaker 4: legality of the abrupt dismissal. She referenced the Counsel of
- 6:14Speaker 4: the Inspector Generals on Integrity and Efficiency stance that such
- 6:18Speaker 4: a termination notice did not comply with legal requirements and
- 6:21Speaker 4: were therefore ineffective. Fast forward to Monday, reports emerged that
- 6:26Speaker 4: Fong was escorted out of her office by security officials
- 6:31Speaker 4: after refusing to comply with her termination. Now you may
- 6:35Speaker 4: ask yourself, well, why was she let go? Well, Fong
- 6:38Speaker 4: had served as the USDA's Inspector General for twenty two years.
- 6:42Speaker 4: She was appointed by President George W. Bush and her
- 6:44Speaker 4: role encompass overseeing audits, investigations, and other oversight activities related
- 6:51Speaker 4: to the USDA's programs and operations. Well, the Senate figured
- 6:56Speaker 4: it out in fact center erst during a confirmation here,
- 7:00Speaker 4: he brought up the important point that at the USDA, well,
- 7:04Speaker 4: no one has been showing up for work at all.
- 7:07Speaker 4: Take a listen to this.
- 7:08Speaker 5: I know that we must address some of the work
- 7:11Speaker 5: policies for federal employees at the Department of Agriculture as
- 7:15Speaker 5: you know, the GAO reported USDA's headquarters has a space
- 7:19Speaker 5: utilization rate at just eleven percent. Eleven percent. I've even
- 7:25Speaker 5: received whistle blower letters from employees describing the building as
- 7:30Speaker 5: a ghost town. So last year I addressed this exact
- 7:34Speaker 5: issue with the Secretary, Tom Vilsack, and was met with
- 7:39Speaker 5: very strong opposition. Rather than provide any evidence to dispute
- 7:43Speaker 5: the GAO's numbers, and even after repeatedly following up with
- 7:48Speaker 5: his staff, he refused to give me specific in office
- 7:52Speaker 5: numbers or building utilization data. In start contrast, President Trump
- 7:57Speaker 5: acted immediately to get our federal workforce back to actually
- 8:03Speaker 5: working for the American people.
- 8:06Speaker 4: Eleven percent, that's it of the USDA's headquarter space is
- 8:11Speaker 4: in use. It is a ghost town. And as you
- 8:14Speaker 4: could hear, they are the center saying we got to
- 8:16Speaker 4: get rid of the people that aren't doing their jobs.
- 8:19Speaker 4: Maybe that's the reason why this woman was fired in
- 8:21Speaker 4: the first place. And let this be a lesson everybody
- 8:24Speaker 4: else in Washington. Show up for your job. The American
- 8:27Speaker 4: people are paying your salaries, and President Trump demands you
- 8:31Speaker 4: do your work in an office.
- 8:33Speaker 3: And lastly, story number three.
- 8:35Speaker 4: Another major campaign promise from Donald Trump was that he
- 8:38Speaker 4: was going to get our education system back to the
- 8:41Speaker 4: basics and out of the hands of the radicals. Well,
- 8:44Speaker 4: President Donald Trump is going scorched earth on the radical
- 8:47Speaker 4: lefts grip over education and lawlessness, whether it is elementary, middle,
- 8:53Speaker 4: high school, or the college level. He did so today
- 8:56Speaker 4: through an executive order. School choices also getting prior defunding
- 9:00Speaker 4: for the first time ever, and schools that are pushing
- 9:04Speaker 4: CRT and gender ideology will no longer be receiving federal funds. Also,
- 9:10Speaker 4: Prohama students VISA holders, well you can expect deportations for them.
- 9:16Speaker 4: The message is clear. America's future will not be shaped
- 9:20Speaker 4: by radical indoctrination or foreign agitators. And Donald Trump is
- 9:26Speaker 4: paying off on this clearly now. This executive order to
- 9:29Speaker 4: defund schools that teach gender ideology and critical race theory
- 9:34Speaker 4: was one that was well thought out. Now the order
- 9:36Speaker 4: will give the Department of Education ninety days to create
- 9:40Speaker 4: a plan about how to weed out CRT, critical race theory,
- 9:44Speaker 4: and radical gender ideology instruction in K through twelve schools now,
- 9:49Speaker 4: according to White House memo, Trump notably promised on the
- 9:53Speaker 4: campaign trail to sign an order defunding schools that teach
- 9:57Speaker 4: critical race theory, transgender inc sanity, and other inappropriate, radical,
- 10:03Speaker 4: sexual or political content quote unquote. The White House memo
- 10:07Speaker 4: also states that the order will direct the Attorney General
- 10:11Speaker 4: to work with state attorney generals and district attorneys to
- 10:14Speaker 4: quote file actions against teachers and school officials who sexually
- 10:19Speaker 4: exploit minors or practice medicine without a license. Through social
- 10:25Speaker 4: transition practices, something the left has been teaching. Now, critical
- 10:30Speaker 4: race theory has now been pretty incredible if you look
- 10:34Speaker 4: how the left has implemented it. They put it into
- 10:37Speaker 4: virtually all of our institutions, our government, our economy, our culture,
- 10:42Speaker 4: and they're all based on a radical hierarchy with wide
- 10:46Speaker 4: individuals on top and black individuals at the bottom. Even
- 10:50Speaker 4: things that look race neutral are on closer inspection racists.
- 10:54Speaker 4: According to this doctrine, CRT was the invention of a
- 10:58Speaker 4: group of radical lefts wing intellectuals known as the Frankfurt School.
- 11:03Speaker 4: They developed it to achieve what they saw as a
- 11:07Speaker 4: cultural change, a change that looks a lot like well,
- 11:11Speaker 4: what Marxism is and what it could not achieve politically. Now,
- 11:16Speaker 4: if you will move to gender ideology, what is that well,
- 11:20Speaker 4: simply put, is the false belief that one can become
- 11:23Speaker 4: a different sex than what they were born. And colleges
- 11:27Speaker 4: and high schools and elementary schools are indoctrinating anyone who
- 11:32Speaker 4: will listen. President Trump says he will sign the Executive
- 11:36Speaker 4: Order to create a National Commission to promote Patriotic Education
- 11:42Speaker 4: instead of the radical lefts CRT.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Today.
- 11:45Speaker 2: I'm also pleased to announce that I will soon sign
- 11:48Speaker 2: an executive order establishing a National Commission to promote Patriotic Education.
- 11:54Speaker 2: It will be called the seventeen seventy six Commission.
- 12:00Speaker 6: It will encourage our educators to teach our children about
- 12:04Speaker 6: the miracle of American history and make plans to honor
- 12:07Speaker 6: the two hundred and fiftieth anniversary of our founding.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Think of that two hundred and fifty years.
- 12:15Speaker 4: It's amazing the difference between the Democratic Party and what
- 12:18Speaker 4: they were doing with our kids' minds and what Donald
- 12:21Speaker 4: Trump is doing right now. God bless Trump for doing this,
- 12:24Speaker 4: signing this executive order. And finally, some sad news, plane
- 12:29Speaker 4: is crashed into the Potomac River near Reagan Airport in Washington,
- 12:33Speaker 4: d C. What we know at this moment is we're
- 12:35Speaker 4: recording this that it was a regional jet flying from Wichita, Kansas.
- 12:40Speaker 4: It crashed into a military helicopter. We have also been
- 12:45Speaker 4: told that this was an American Airlines flight carrying at
- 12:48Speaker 4: least sixty passengers and there are many casualties. We will
- 12:53Speaker 4: keep you up to date on this story as well.
