Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
• 0:05
Speaker 1: don't know y'all have a suit on the don giving
• 0:13
Speaker 1: them like the milling bus things and it's cos y'all.
• 0:21
Speaker 1: Steve listening to going together for stuy. I don't joy.
• 0:58
Speaker 1: You gotta gotta turn you. You gotta turn the turnout,
• 1:43
Speaker 1: got to turnmout. Then turn the water to the water. Come,
• 1:58
Speaker 1: come on your baby now. Uh huh, I shore will
• 2:04
Speaker 1: good marded everybody you're listening to the voice, come on
• 2:07
Speaker 1: dig me now, one and all, it's Steve Harvey, got
• 2:11
Speaker 1: a radio show. Well all right, I've learned something and
• 2:19
Speaker 1: it sharing time. And I am all ever appreciated. I
• 2:25
Speaker 1: do appreciate God for all that he allows me to
• 2:29
Speaker 1: learn in my life. One of the best lessons I've
• 2:34
Speaker 1: learned is that hardship teaches you some great lessons. Challenges
• 2:44
Speaker 1: brings about some of my best results. I think what
• 2:48
Speaker 1: I'm trying to say is in every challenge and hardship,
• 2:54
Speaker 1: every setback, I've learned something so so valuable. So here's
• 3:01
Speaker 1: what I've You know, I've known this, but I've just
• 3:05
Speaker 1: learned it at a different angle. Appreciation and gratitude is
• 3:11
Speaker 1: the key to having more. Now. I don't know how
• 3:17
Speaker 1: that sound to you, but I can't tell you how
• 3:22
Speaker 1: true it is. God being fair and just as he
• 3:26
Speaker 1: really is. He really is. He's a fair and a
• 3:29
Speaker 1: just God. What's most beneficial to us is he happens
• 3:33
Speaker 1: to be full of mercy and grace. And I'm telling
• 3:40
Speaker 1: you something, man, I've probably benefited from his grace and
• 3:47
Speaker 1: mercy more than anything else. I mean, really, man, if
• 3:52
Speaker 1: it wasn't for him just forgiving me, and then for
• 3:58
Speaker 1: him just touching my life the way he has, I mean,
• 4:03
Speaker 1: I'm I'm not hearing this position today. I'm just not.
• 4:07
Speaker 1: But a funny thing has happened along the way, even
• 4:11
Speaker 1: to you. If you look at it, is it your
• 4:14
Speaker 1: genuine appreciation and gratitude has been the key to you
• 4:20
Speaker 1: having more for your continued blessings and for making room
• 4:27
Speaker 1: for having to open up and pour out blessings that
• 4:29
Speaker 1: you don't have room enough to receive. If you look
• 4:32
Speaker 1: at it, see God being a fair and just God,
• 4:35
Speaker 1: which he is, why would he put more on you
• 4:41
Speaker 1: than you can bad? If you've noticed everything that's happened
• 4:46
Speaker 1: in your life, if you're still here, you've made it.
• 4:50
Speaker 1: You know, forget how rough it was, got that but
• 4:53
Speaker 1: you made it. Forget what it sent you through, and
• 4:57
Speaker 1: it hid made you feel you made it. Now, what
• 5:03
Speaker 1: makes people give up and you hear about people committing suicide,
• 5:06
Speaker 1: is they leave the God out of their life and
• 5:10
Speaker 1: they start allowing that other voice to control. And if
• 5:14
Speaker 1: it's really true that God never puts more on you
• 5:16
Speaker 1: than you can bear, as long as you stay connected
• 5:19
Speaker 1: to God, you can get through anything. But you lose
• 5:23
Speaker 1: that connection, you lose that communication, you lose that relationship
• 5:30
Speaker 1: with him. If you're not having a relationship with God,
• 5:33
Speaker 1: then who you're having a relationship with Now it ain't
• 5:39
Speaker 1: but two forces at work at all time. It's good
• 5:43
Speaker 1: and evil. It's positive and negative. It's God, it's Satan. Now,
• 5:51
Speaker 1: this is at work all the time. So if you're
• 5:56
Speaker 1: not being positive about everything, you leave room for negativity
• 6:00
Speaker 1: to step in. If you're not trying to be righteous
• 6:04
Speaker 1: in your way, then you allow evil to step in.
• 6:08
Speaker 1: If you don't work on your relationship with God, come on, now,
• 6:13
Speaker 1: look who you're letting step in. So now I'm asking
• 6:18
Speaker 1: you to understand that God never puts the more on
• 6:22
Speaker 1: you than you can bear. Okay, now that we got
• 6:24
Speaker 1: that clear. That's a fact. Okay. Now with that fact
• 6:27
Speaker 1: in mind, let's go over this right here. Why would God,
• 6:31
Speaker 1: being as just and merciful as he is, put more
• 6:35
Speaker 1: on you than you can bear? Example, if God has
• 6:40
Speaker 1: given you blessings and all you're doing is complaining about him,
• 6:45
Speaker 1: you're never showing any appreciation of gratitude about it. Why
• 6:49
Speaker 1: would he give you some most stuff to be ungrateful for?
• 6:52
Speaker 1: Why would he give you some more stuff to complain about?
• 6:55
Speaker 1: Why would he give you some more stuff that you
• 6:57
Speaker 1: would not show any more appreciation for? I mean, this
• 7:01
Speaker 1: thing is real simple, man, ain't it if you think
• 7:03
Speaker 1: about it? So? A lot of times, man, when I
• 7:06
Speaker 1: was going through my positions of not having it and
• 7:09
Speaker 1: wondering at all like here, I ended up checking myself
• 7:12
Speaker 1: and going, man, I'm not even showing any gratitude or
• 7:15
Speaker 1: appreciation for the things He has done for me. Start
• 7:18
Speaker 1: showing some appreciation and gratitude because it's the key to
• 7:21
Speaker 1: having more. It's the key to continued blessings. It's the
• 7:26
Speaker 1: key to the wonders of heaven opening up and pouring
• 7:28
Speaker 1: out a blessing that you won't have room enough to receive.
• 7:32
Speaker 1: It's the appreciation and gratitude of what you already have,
• 7:37
Speaker 1: as minimal as it may appear to be right now
• 7:41
Speaker 1: for you, it is still what you have. But if
• 7:45
Speaker 1: you've shown no gratual, no gratitude for the minimal, why
• 7:52
Speaker 1: would he give you the maximum. I mean, I'm just
• 7:56
Speaker 1: really just trying to put it real, real, simple, so
• 7:59
Speaker 1: I can keep understanding this thing right here. So let
• 8:02
Speaker 1: me give you an example. In my life, I had
• 8:05
Speaker 1: gotten so busy at one point that I had began
• 8:11
Speaker 1: to complain about how busy I was. This is true
• 8:16
Speaker 1: because I am busy, but it ain't the busy part
• 8:21
Speaker 1: because I asked to be busy, you know, I asked
• 8:23
Speaker 1: God to give me opportunities and to make a way
• 8:27
Speaker 1: for me. Well, in that you got to do something
• 8:30
Speaker 1: and you got to get busy. But I began to
• 8:34
Speaker 1: complain about the business and how busy I was, and
• 8:38
Speaker 1: I noticed that a couple of things slowed up for me.
• 8:42
Speaker 1: So I had got to the point where I wasn't
• 8:45
Speaker 1: showing real gratitude for it. Well, I looked up and
• 8:48
Speaker 1: a couple of things started slowing down, and then I
• 8:51
Speaker 1: had to catch myself and I went, wow, man, you
• 8:54
Speaker 1: have got to start embracing the fact that you are
• 8:57
Speaker 1: this busy, embraced the fact that what all comes along
• 9:02
Speaker 1: with it. Because to whom much is given, much is required.
• 9:05
Speaker 1: You got to start embracing the requirement part if you
• 9:09
Speaker 1: want to continue with the giving part. So I changed
• 9:12
Speaker 1: my attitude. I caught myself and I started thinking him
• 9:16
Speaker 1: and showing real gratitude for how busy I was, instead
• 9:18
Speaker 1: of complaining about how busy I was. And then guess what,
• 9:21
Speaker 1: It opened up the windows of heaven and some more
• 9:24
Speaker 1: blessings got poured out. It just works that way all
• 9:27
Speaker 1: the time, for everybody, for me, for you, for everybody.
• 9:31
Speaker 1: So listen, y'all again, your appreciation and gratitude is the
• 9:35
Speaker 1: key to having more. Your appreciation and gratitude is the
• 9:38
Speaker 1: key to continued blessings. And your appreciation and gratitude it's
• 9:43
Speaker 1: the only way that you can get those windows of
• 9:46
Speaker 1: heaven to open up and pour out these blessings that
• 9:48
Speaker 1: you won't have room enough to receive. You gotta act
• 9:51
Speaker 1: like you're glad for what you got in order to
• 9:53
Speaker 1: get more. You feel me, let's go show, ladies and gentlemen,
• 10:03
Speaker 1: boys and girls, let me have your attention. Please try Jesus,
• 10:12
Speaker 1: not me, because I throw hands. Try Jesus. Please don't
• 10:24
Speaker 1: try me because I fight ladies and gentlemen. Steve Harvey's
• 10:35
Speaker 1: three theme song Till the Year twenty twenty five. Really
• 10:42
Speaker 1: I'm twenty five. Yeah, that'd be last time I'm gonna
• 10:46
Speaker 1: throw hands A really, Yeah, I'm gonna retire from swinging
• 10:52
Speaker 1: and cussing people out. You think you think you got
• 10:55
Speaker 1: one more level and you know, throwing hands, you think
• 10:57
Speaker 1: you got one more I don't want to, but but
• 11:00
Speaker 1: if I had to. Yeah, But like the song, say
• 11:04
Speaker 1: me and mine, you know, really just mine. You can
• 11:09
  Speaker 1: talk about me and I ain't. I don't care. Don't
• 11:11
Speaker 1: bother mind though. Oh you can custom me out. I
• 11:13
Speaker 1: don't care. You can lie on me on any that.
• 11:15
Speaker 1: I don't care. But when you come from mind though. Now, No,
• 11:21
Speaker 1: I'm not gonna play with you. I'm not gonna play
• 11:23
Speaker 1: with you. I'm sorry, Lord forgive me. Thank God. I
• 11:28
Speaker 1: well I had to do. We were joking one day.
• 11:31
Speaker 1: One of my one of my son's friends, was over
• 11:33
Speaker 1: at your house and we were talking about fighting. He said,
• 11:36
Speaker 1: but Harve, you know you din't got older now, man.
• 11:38
Speaker 1: One of the young boys, Mike might whoop you up
• 11:40
Speaker 1: pretty good. I say, that's highly possible. That is highly possible.
• 11:46
Speaker 1: But let me ask you something though, a little man,
• 11:48
Speaker 1: Why are your friends whooping my ass? What is I'm
• 11:51
Speaker 1: gonna be doing? Hello? I want you to understand one thing.
• 11:56
Speaker 1: I don't have a lot left in me. But the
• 12:00
Speaker 1: fifteen twenty seconds I got you're not gonna believe it. Second, yeah,
• 12:07
Speaker 1: I'm gonna be winded after that. Year. A fight is
• 12:12
Speaker 1: over in eight or ten. It ain't long, so fifteen
• 12:16
Speaker 1: is a loan most Yeah, but I'm seconds. But I'm
• 12:22
Speaker 1: talking about if you're fighting like like I'm gonna be
• 12:26
Speaker 1: doing hard you know, baby finger in your nostrils, you know,
• 12:35
Speaker 1: like yeah, but but biting you in your hat on,
• 12:43
Speaker 1: I'm talking about the unexpected. I'm biting you on your
• 12:47
Speaker 1: nose where everybody else see you beenvid that's you're not
• 12:53
Speaker 1: gonna breathe the same. I'm talking about trying to stick
• 12:58
Speaker 1: my finger in your back hockey. Yeah, that type of fight.
• 13:05
Speaker 1: And I'm grabbing what you think I ain't gonna grab.
• 13:08
Speaker 1: I'm grabbing them. Whoa start to fight like that? I
• 13:12
Speaker 1: try to weaken the main well, Happy Friday, everyone fight.
• 13:20
Speaker 1: Y'all don't know what the old man fight. Look Hey, hey, hey,
• 13:24
Speaker 1: hey hey, if I think we fit in the fight,
• 13:26
Speaker 1: I just started kissing you, throw your in the all right,
• 13:32
Speaker 1: thank you guys. Can't wait to see these matchups coming
• 13:37
Speaker 1: up at thirty, asked the CLO. Right after this, you're
• 13:44
Speaker 1: listening to the string show coming up at the top
• 13:48
Speaker 1: of the hour. R and B singer and our friend
• 13:50
Speaker 1: Brandy will be our special guests. But right now, yes,
• 13:53
Speaker 1: can't wait for that new music out. Can't wait right now,
• 13:57
Speaker 1: though I don't know me hello rockaway being. I know
• 14:04
Speaker 1: y'all ain't, but I just wanted to say hello bye everybody.
• 14:13
Speaker 1: Y'all ain't invite me prop you know what I'm saying.
• 14:17
Speaker 1: You gonna have ready he let me pop, But I'm
• 14:20
Speaker 1: going thank you very enjoy all right, listen, right now
• 14:26
Speaker 1: it's time for ask the CLO and the chief love
• 14:30
Speaker 1: officers in the building. Steve, you ready, absolutely, here we go.
• 14:34
Speaker 1: This one's from Tawanda and Seattle. She said, I just
• 14:37
Speaker 1: read your book, Uncle Steve, so I need some clarification.
• 14:41
Speaker 1: I've been dating a man for two years. I'm twenty nine,
• 14:44
Speaker 1: and I want to be married. I started telling my
• 14:48
Speaker 1: man that I love him after a year of dating.
• 14:51
Speaker 1: He always says me too, or same here or ditto.
• 14:56
Speaker 1: One night he even told me he was very fond
• 14:58
Speaker 1: of me, and I'm white fee material. Maybe he does
• 15:02
Speaker 1: not love me, or he's not the mushy type. My
• 15:05
Speaker 1: grandma said some men aren't able to profess love. Is
• 15:09
Speaker 1: this true? Should I ask him why he doesn't profess
• 15:12
Speaker 1: his love for me? Well, you can ask him, but
• 15:16
Speaker 1: I want you to be ready for the answer. You've
• 15:20
Speaker 1: been with a man over a year and you haven't
• 15:22
Speaker 1: told him he loved you, and he says same hill, ditto,
• 15:28
Speaker 1: whoo hoo, be too back at you? My mom used
• 15:33
Speaker 1: to say, thank you, boomerang, yeah, stuff like that. You
• 15:41
Speaker 1: can go ahead and ask him if you really need clarity,
• 15:45
Speaker 1: and he's saying your wifey material. But I want you
• 15:48
Speaker 1: to listen to what he has not said. He has
• 15:52
Speaker 1: not said he loves you, and he has not said
• 15:57
Speaker 1: he wants you to be his wife. Those are two
• 16:00
Speaker 1: things that he hasn't said. So now you have every right, though,
• 16:05
Speaker 1: to ask for clarity by saying, when you say, when
• 16:08
Speaker 1: I say I love you and you say ditto, what
• 16:11
Speaker 1: does that mean? No? Tell me what that means. You
• 16:16
Speaker 1: know we've been dating a year. Tell me what that means.
• 16:18
Speaker 1: And then, secondly, when you say I'm wifey material, are
• 16:23
Speaker 1: you saying I'll make someone else a good wife or
• 16:26
Speaker 1: you think I would make you a good wife? You
• 16:28
Speaker 1: have every right to ask that question. You've been waiting
• 16:33
Speaker 1: for a year. Come on, now, two years. They've been
• 16:35
Speaker 1: together two years. To stop stop playing this game. You
• 16:38
Speaker 1: should know by now. Next question. All right, here we go,
• 16:42
Speaker 1: Lexus and Tampa says, I've been married for eleven years
• 16:46
Speaker 1: and I want a divorce. I've been trying to get
• 16:49
Speaker 1: one for the past four years, and my husband keeps
• 16:51
  Speaker 1: saying we can't afford a divorce. He says, I can't
• 16:54
Speaker 1: give money in our joint account for that. I'm trying
• 16:58
Speaker 1: to separate our money, but the majority of our income
• 17:00
Speaker 1: comes from him. He is fine with living in a
• 17:03
Speaker 1: dysfunctional marriage, but I'm not. I've met a man and
• 17:06
Speaker 1: I'm ready to start over with him, but I can't
• 17:09
Speaker 1: get a divorce. We don't have any assets, and he
• 17:12
Speaker 1: can have this raggedy house. I just want out. How
• 17:16
Speaker 1: can I drop the zero without it costing so much?
• 17:20
Speaker 1: Wait a minute, what are you talking about, right, What
• 17:24
Speaker 1: are you talking about? How can I drop this zero
• 17:27
Speaker 1: without it costing? What do you You don't have any assets.
• 17:33
Speaker 1: You've been married eleven years and he's telling you y'all
• 17:36
Speaker 1: can't afford to get no divorce and you can't take
• 17:40
Speaker 1: the money out to account to get no divorce. But
• 17:42
Speaker 1: you're in a dysfunctional relationship. You gotta be kidding me.
• 17:47
Speaker 1: You're not really trying to get divorced. People do it
• 17:51
Speaker 1: every day, unfortunately, but they system all the stuff you
• 17:54
Speaker 1: can do online. You can get out if you won't out. Yeah,
• 17:58
Speaker 1: come come on now, let's stop playing this little reindeer game.
• 18:01
Speaker 1: You got going four years you've been trying to get
• 18:04
Speaker 1: a divorce. So in the four years, what y'all been
• 18:07
Speaker 1: doing this this joint account that you all have that
• 18:11
Speaker 1: he puts the majority in money and you don't have
• 18:13
Speaker 1: access to it at all? Girl, Next question should Berry
• 18:20
Speaker 1: and Sumter? Moving on? Berry in Sumter, South Carolina, says,
• 18:23
Speaker 1: I'm thirty four and engaged to a woman that's not
• 18:26
Speaker 1: happy with me right now. It will be my second marriage,
• 18:30
Speaker 1: and I'm still on my ex wife's insurance policy because
• 18:33
Speaker 1: of the benefits and incentives that came with having our
• 18:36
Speaker 1: policies combined. She has paid her part of a premium
• 18:39
Speaker 1: and I paid my half. My fiance is aware that
• 18:43
Speaker 1: the policy is paid in full until February of twenty
• 18:46
Speaker 1: twenty one, but she wants me to cancel the policy
• 18:49
Speaker 1: and get a new one immediately. It's just auto insurance
• 18:53
Speaker 1: and no big deal to me. How should I handle it?
• 18:56
Speaker 1: Good question? Okay, excuse me, y'all? Can I ask y'all
• 18:59
Speaker 1: all the question? I don't know what he's talking about.
• 19:02
Speaker 1: There's an insurance policy paid in full till February, but
• 19:07
Speaker 1: it's just auto insurance. That's car insurance. It's just car insurance.
• 19:13
Speaker 1: And he's on with his ex wife. She wants him
• 19:16
Speaker 1: to cut ties with his ex wife. Okay, cut ties
• 19:19
Speaker 1: with your ex wife? What's wrong with you? If that'll
• 19:23
Speaker 1: make her happy, you gotta cut ties with it? What? What? What? You?
• 19:27
Speaker 1: You didn't pay the money? I mean? Do you see
• 19:31
Speaker 1: an accident happening any time? Get this? I don't, man,
• 19:38
Speaker 1: You're just unhappy in your house over car accident that
• 19:42
Speaker 1: ain't happened. Come on, man, you gotta be Joe. Come on,
• 19:47
Speaker 1: billy dog. You're trying to hang on to insurance policy.
• 19:56
Speaker 1: Did you debate. I'm sure it can't be that much exactly. Yeah,
• 20:00
  Speaker 1: let's say a couple hundred dollars. Let's just say it's
• 20:03
  Speaker 1: a couple hundred. Let's say it three hundred, it's a
• 20:07
Speaker 1: thousand dollars. Yeah, let's say that. Yeah, but let me
• 20:10
Speaker 1: ask you a question. Who prepays stay card showers? Don't nobody?
• 20:15
Speaker 1: Rich people don't nobody pre pay card showers. Why would
• 20:20
Speaker 1: you prepay for for something for an accident coverage that
• 20:24
Speaker 1: has not happened. That's the dumbest pre payment. You can
• 20:28
Speaker 1: pay in six months, or you can pay the whole year.
• 20:32
Speaker 1: You can it's paid, up the car and get out
• 20:37
Speaker 1: of him. Many thank you. Cello is always coming up next.
• 20:44
Speaker 1: Nephew Tommy would run that prank back right after this
• 20:48
Speaker 1: you're listening show coming up at the top of the hour.
• 20:54
Speaker 1: R and B singer Brandy will be a special guest.
• 20:57
Speaker 1: She's family for us, she really, yeah, yeah she is.
• 21:00
Speaker 1: But right now the nephew is here with running that
• 21:02

• 31:41
Speaker 1: if you look at the world of music today, it
• 31:44
Speaker 1: is so difficult to see album number two or three.
• 31:49
Speaker 1: When you're talking to somebody who's releasing album numbers, these albums,
• 31:55

Speaker 1: and like, I don't know where I would be without
• 32:13
Speaker 1: my music. And I'm just I'm just so happy to
• 32:16
Speaker 1: be doing it again and um and and working with
• 32:19

• 37:46
Speaker 1: just just you ain't never did nothing right any cabinet
• 37:59
Speaker 1: carsons only not white tweeting dude while in the old
• 38:02
Speaker 1: whole room. It's coming. So just getting then in your
• 38:04
Speaker 1: hands up with a wickness of all your sickness. You're
• 38:07
Speaker 1: a liar, a victor. Minds countries over seeds really can't believe. Yeah,
• 38:12
Speaker 1: I'm be and that's me. Then you say, with a
• 38:15
Speaker 1: winning ticket, you know what I mean, come me and
• 38:17
Speaker 1: around here just picking on you. So would you leave?
• 38:19
Speaker 1: That's the Please just tick my pince say goodbye. Yeah,
• 38:33
  Speaker 1: we don't want you. Wow, I'm I'm convinced now, I'm
• 38:40
Speaker 1: totally convinced. What Man, Jay are the two geniuses on
• 38:45
Speaker 1: the show. I'm convinced that right there that that was greatness.
• 38:48
Speaker 1: I mean, Jay, great look around if you look around
• 38:51
Speaker 1: the show to blow your lip coming up in dirty
• 39:00
Speaker 1: running after the hold. I'm glad y'all too, trying to
• 39:03
Speaker 1: make y'all little ragged ass feel good. About yourself over.
• 39:07
Speaker 1: Steve Harvey will be right back. You're listening to Steve
• 39:13
Speaker 1: Harvey Mourning Show. According to the Black Information Network, hundreds
• 39:18
Speaker 1: of mourners gathered at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta
• 39:22
Speaker 1: to bid farewell to Congressman John Lewis. Three presidents spoke
• 39:26
Speaker 1: at the funeral of the late civil rights icon. Three presidents.
• 39:30
Speaker 1: We're talking, just three real presidents. Yes, President Clinton. President
• 39:37
Speaker 1: President Obama delivered the yes. Yes. He spoke about bloody
• 39:42
Speaker 1: Sunday when Congressman Lewis and other protesters were beaten by
• 39:46
Speaker 1: police in Selma fifty five years ago. President Obama also
• 39:50
Speaker 1: spoke about voter suppression. Take a listen. We may no
• 39:54
Speaker 1: longer have to guess the number of jelly means in
• 39:57
Speaker 1: the jar in order to cast a ballot. But even
• 40:03
Speaker 1: as we sit here, there are those in power who
• 40:07
Speaker 1: are doing their darnedest to discourage people from voting, by
• 40:14
Speaker 1: closing polling locations and targeting minorities and students with restrictive
• 40:20
Speaker 1: idea laws, and attacking our voting rights with surgical precision,
• 40:25
Speaker 1: even undermining the postal service in the run up to
• 40:30
Speaker 1: an election that's gonna be dependent on mail in ballots
• 40:34
Speaker 1: so people don't get sick. That's the president that a
• 40:40
Speaker 1: miss him. We do. President Jimmy Carter also sent his
• 40:44
Speaker 1: condolences and a proclamation. So it was just a beautiful
• 40:48
Speaker 1: service in everything. President Obama also reminded Americans to be villagent,
• 40:53
Speaker 1: vigilant against the dark occurrence of this country's history. I saw, Jennifer,
• 41:04
Speaker 1: if you don't if you don't vote, now, there's something
• 41:08
Speaker 1: seriously wrong with you. Really, it really is something. No, really, man,
• 41:12
  Speaker 1: that's that's a true statement. This we're we're we're at
• 41:16
Speaker 1: the critical juncture for our culture. See, this is critical
• 41:22
Speaker 1: juncture for our culture. Look at the Black Lives Matter movement.
• 41:28
Speaker 1: Look at the things that the people are saying who
• 41:30
Speaker 1: are against the movement. In Arkansas, man, this white person
• 41:35
Speaker 1: was out there holding the sign say black lives matter.
• 41:37
Speaker 1: They recorded how many whites drove by him, saying stuff
• 41:41
Speaker 1: like put that sign down, you're white, white women, white
• 41:46
Speaker 1: lives matter too. See, they've missed the whole point of
• 41:50
Speaker 1: what black lives matter is. So what we've got to
• 41:53
Speaker 1: do is we have to prove that black lives matter
• 41:58
Speaker 1: in a way that we've never shown him before or
• 42:00
Speaker 1: and that's at the polls. We got the vote many
• 42:04
Speaker 1: because we can do something about this that's happening to
• 42:07
Speaker 1: us from this president, this diverseed, this divisiveness that he's spewing,
• 42:14
Speaker 1: this talking about the suburbs saving us from the Fair
• 42:18
Speaker 1: Housing Act lawder he wants to resis in trying to
• 42:21
Speaker 1: get rid of Obamacare, trying to don't he don't care
• 42:24
Speaker 1: nothing about pre existing conditions. We have an opportunity to
• 42:31
Speaker 1: do something about this, and we have to get the
• 42:34
Speaker 1: job done. We have to vote. And like President Obama
• 42:38
Speaker 1: just said, they've closed so many polls in neighborhoods that
• 42:43
Speaker 1: serve black people and condense sixteen polling places into one.
• 42:49
Speaker 1: That's to discourage you as a voter. And now this
• 42:52
Speaker 1: president is talking about the mail and vote could open
• 42:55
Speaker 1: us our election up to fraud. No, it can't. You
• 42:59
Speaker 1: can still only vote once. Then he's talking about we
• 43:03
Speaker 1: should move the election back until people can vote safely.
• 43:07
Speaker 1: Hey man, do that? No? No, if he was a dictator, yes,
• 43:18
Speaker 1: they had an election in a civil war. And so
• 43:21
Speaker 1: you know every war, every yea, every situations, the election
• 43:27
Speaker 1: has gone on. But you know, pemic, right, if I
• 43:31
Speaker 1: knew an ass what was coming. I delay it. I
• 43:33
Speaker 1: really would it legalize black? You know what I mean.
• 43:43
Speaker 1: That's what it seemed like we're trying to do, like
• 43:45
Speaker 1: we're trying to legalize right drama. Well day, Steve ntil
• 43:52
Speaker 1: the November third election, So please go to when we
• 43:56
Speaker 1: all vote and register, get registered and let your voice
• 43:59
Speaker 1: be heard. Okay, Coming up next, we're gonna switch gears.
• 44:02

Speaker 1: It is the Strawberry Letter, all right, nephew. It says
• 54:36
Speaker 1: I asked a married woman to marry me. That is
• 54:40
Speaker 1: the subject. I asked a married woman to marry me,
• 54:43
Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley. For the past ten years, I have
• 54:47
Speaker 1: lived with a really good female friend. Over the years,
• 54:50
Speaker 1: we've shared a bed at times, and we've had sex
• 54:53
Speaker 1: when it was convenient. Other than that, it was more
• 54:57
Speaker 1: of a room roommate type of arrangement. She dated other
• 55:01
Speaker 1: men and I dated other women. When we were at home,
• 55:05
Speaker 1: we were best friends that happened to sleep in the
• 55:07
Speaker 1: same bed sometimes. We never had our boyfriends or girlfriends
• 55:11
Speaker 1: sleep over. And I was thinking this is a perfect setup.
• 55:15
Speaker 1: But my roommate flipped the switch and got married last month.
• 55:19
Speaker 1: She told me that her husband lives in another country
• 55:22
Speaker 1: and she's been in a long distance relationship for a year.
• 55:26
Speaker 1: She told me that her husband can't get a visa renewed,
• 55:31
Speaker 1: so he cannot come back into the US right now.
• 55:34
Speaker 1: I was really hurt to find out that she'd gotten
• 55:36
Speaker 1: married on me, and she casually told me like it
• 55:39
Speaker 1: was no big deal. It broke my heart and made
• 55:42
Speaker 1: me realize that I'm in love with her. She's also
• 55:46
Speaker 1: been going through in vitro fertilization IVF to have a
• 55:50
Speaker 1: baby because she's forty and really wants a child. I
• 55:54
Speaker 1: was supportive of all of that, and last year I
• 55:57
Speaker 1: told her that i'd father her child. She brought that
• 56:00
Speaker 1: up and told me she wants to go ahead with
• 56:03
Speaker 1: her IVF and still have me donate sperm as the
• 56:06
Speaker 1: father since her husband is stuck in another country indefinitely.
• 56:11
Speaker 1: I want to be the father of the baby and
• 56:13
Speaker 1: her husband. So I made an impulsive move and I
• 56:16
Speaker 1: went and brought her a ring, bought her a ring,
• 56:19
Speaker 1: and I asked her to marry me. She said she
• 56:22
Speaker 1: does love me and she would think about it. My
• 56:25
Speaker 1: life will not be the same if she leaves me.
• 56:27
Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley, Am I wrong for doing this? Now? What
• 56:30
Speaker 1: if I'm just jealous and not in love? Wow? This
• 56:35
Speaker 1: relationship right here, it's really crazy? Okay her dumb? Can
• 56:40
Speaker 1: you get you're just in it for convenience anyway you said?
• 56:45
Speaker 1: I mean, you guys have been friends with benefits for
• 56:47
Speaker 1: ten years. Ten years. Let me put it this way,
• 56:51
Speaker 1: You've just been using each other's bodies, never even talked
• 56:54
Speaker 1: once about a future dating, moving out. Nothing. You guys
• 56:59
Speaker 1: are just there sleeping together when it's convenient. She's forty
• 57:02
Speaker 1: years old, still doing this, So what was she supposed
• 57:06
Speaker 1: to do? Just stay there and entertain you, sleep with
• 57:10
Speaker 1: you when it was convenient for another ten years. Listen,
• 57:13
Speaker 1: life goes on, people change all the time, and that's
• 57:16
Speaker 1: exactly what she did. She moved on, well sort of, okay,
• 57:23
Speaker 1: yes and no, she moved on because she did say
• 57:25
Speaker 1: she think about your proposal. Right, it just gets crazier
• 57:29
Speaker 1: and crazier, and she wants your sperm for her baby
• 57:33
Speaker 1: because her husband is out of the country indefinitely. What
• 57:40
Speaker 1: all right? I think you know, regarding the ring and everything,
• 57:44
Speaker 1: I think you got kind of scared because your normal
• 57:47
Speaker 1: is about to change. No more free, convenient sex for you,
• 57:50
Speaker 1: so you did get impulsive and go out and buy
• 57:54
Speaker 1: her a ring. I don't think this is gonna work
• 57:57
Speaker 1: for the simple fact that she's already married. That's a
• 58:01
Speaker 1: But then you know, you guys don't look at each
• 58:04
Speaker 1: other that way. I mean, it takes something drastic to
• 58:06
Speaker 1: happen like this for you to come to your senses.
• 58:08
Speaker 1: And you don't even know if that's really what's going on.
• 58:12
Speaker 1: You two people are confused. It's been convenient and like
• 58:15
Speaker 1: this for so long. You're confused. Now you don't know
• 58:18
Speaker 1: how to accept the change. So I don't know you
• 58:22
Speaker 1: know what's going to happen in the future because she
• 58:24
Speaker 1: is married. She didn't talk about divorce. She just said
• 58:26
Speaker 1: she's think about it. But the whole baby and sperm
• 58:29
Speaker 1: thing from you, this letter is crazy. That's all I
• 58:33
Speaker 1: gotta say. Steve, Wow, I don't know how to address
• 58:42
Speaker 1: this letter is to accept, to just honestly tell you all,
• 58:46
  Speaker 1: I don't believe this letter. I really don't. Oh, I
• 58:50
Speaker 1: believe he wrote it, but there's so many things in
• 58:54
Speaker 1: the letter that I don't think is really valid. Been
• 58:58
Speaker 1: dating this lady for tenue, you live with her. She's
• 59:03
Speaker 1: a good friend. Y'all share bed at times, y'all have
• 59:07
Speaker 1: sex when it's convenient. Other than that, it's more like
• 59:11
Speaker 1: a roommate type arrangement. And then you go right back
• 59:15
Speaker 1: and say she dated other men. I dated other women,
• 59:17
Speaker 1: but when we were home, we were best friends that
• 59:21
Speaker 1: happened to sleep in the same bed sometimes. We've never
• 59:26
Speaker 1: had boyfriends and girlfriends sleepover. I was thinking it's a
• 59:32
Speaker 1: perfect setup, so he said it was. She told me
• 59:37
Speaker 1: that her husband lives in another country. She's been a long,
• 59:39
Speaker 1: just relationship for a year. She told me that her
• 59:42
Speaker 1: husband can't get his visa renews, so he can't come
• 59:45
Speaker 1: back to the US. Right now, What where the hell
• 59:49
Speaker 1: did that come from? Our just right out the damn letter,
• 59:55
Speaker 1: you were just talking about how convenient it was, what
• 59:57
Speaker 1: it good, what it was, how y'all don't br your
• 1:00:00
Speaker 1: girlfriend boyfriends over, and you were thinking of perblack dinner.
• 1:00:03
Speaker 1: Then she told me her husband live in another country.
• 1:00:08
Speaker 1: Keep it right. It's a damn lie. We'll have part
• 1:00:13
Speaker 1: two of your response coming up at twenty three minutes
• 1:00:16
Speaker 1: after the hour. Today's Strawberry letter, subject I asked a
• 1:00:20
Speaker 1: married woman to marry me. We'll get back into it
• 1:00:22
Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to show, all right, Steve,
• 1:00:27
Speaker 1: come on, let's recap if we can. Today's crazy Strawberry Letter.
• 1:00:31
Speaker 1: This subject I asked to marry a married woman to
• 1:00:34
Speaker 1: marry me. I asked a married woman to marry me.
• 1:00:38
Speaker 1: I think this letter a bunch of bullcrap. I really
• 1:00:41
Speaker 1: really do. Man, Either way, I don't I don't doubt that,
• 1:00:45
Speaker 1: he wrote the letter. I don't doubt nothing he said.
• 1:00:48
Speaker 1: He lived with it is what he thought was just
• 1:00:50
Speaker 1: a really good friend. They sleep together, share bad at times,
• 1:00:53
Speaker 1: never had their boyfriend girlfriends over. You know, we just
• 1:00:57
Speaker 1: roommates that type of arrangement. You know, she dated other
• 1:01:01
Speaker 1: me and I dated other women. You know, and huh,
• 1:01:03
Speaker 1: you know when we at home, were the best of
• 1:01:05
Speaker 1: friends to have him to sleep in the same bed.
• 1:01:08
Speaker 1: But my roommate flipped a switch and got married last month.
• 1:01:13
Speaker 1: She told me her husband lives in another country and
• 1:01:16
Speaker 1: she's been a long Just what now he got a
• 1:01:20
Speaker 1: stupid boy and can't get his visory nude so he
• 1:01:24
Speaker 1: cannot come back into the US right now? Definitely boy,
• 1:01:31
Speaker 1: Then here he go. I was really hurt to find
• 1:01:34
Speaker 1: out she got married on me, and she casually told
• 1:01:39
Speaker 1: me like it was no big deal. That's cause brother,
• 1:01:42
Speaker 1: you getting played. I think the whole marriage was a lot.
• 1:01:46
Speaker 1: It broke your heart, and it made me realize that
• 1:01:48
Speaker 1: I'm in love with her. What ten years, dude, ten years.
• 1:01:55
Speaker 1: It don't take no man ten years to know a
• 1:01:59
Speaker 1: damn It don't take no woman ten years to know nothing.
• 1:02:04
Speaker 1: It don't take a damn child. A child can learn
• 1:02:08
Speaker 1: how to walk in less than ten years. You can
• 1:02:12
Speaker 1: get potty trained in less than ten years. You can
• 1:02:15
Speaker 1: learn how to drive a car in less than ten years.
• 1:02:17
Speaker 1: You can find a boyfriend in less than ten years.
• 1:02:21
Speaker 1: You can boy you know, ten years. She's also been
• 1:02:25
Speaker 1: going through in vitro fertilization to have a baby because
• 1:02:31
Speaker 1: she really wants a child. She's forty. I was supported
• 1:02:34
Speaker 1: of all that. Last year. I told her I'd father
• 1:02:37
Speaker 1: her child. She bought that up and told me she
• 1:02:42
Speaker 1: ready to go ahead and have me donate to sperm
• 1:02:45
Speaker 1: as the father since her husband is still stuck in
• 1:02:50
Speaker 1: another country. Infinitely, I want to be the father of
• 1:02:54
Speaker 1: the baby and her husband. So I made an impulsive
• 1:02:57
Speaker 1: move and I went on and bought a ring, asked
• 1:02:59
Speaker 1: her to marry me. She said she does love me,
• 1:03:01
Speaker 1: and she would think about it. You can't be married
• 1:03:05
Speaker 1: and think about it. Dog, Listen to me. My life
• 1:03:12
Speaker 1: will never be the same as she leaves me. Stephen Shelley,
• 1:03:15
Speaker 1: I wrong for doing this now. And what if I'm
• 1:03:17
Speaker 1: jealous and not in love? Hey, stupid, listen to me.
• 1:03:21
Speaker 1: You in love and you are jealous, and you said it.
• 1:03:26
Speaker 1: What if I'm just jealous and not in love. See,
• 1:03:28
Speaker 1: let me tell you what's happened, y'all. He only want
• 1:03:31
Speaker 1: her now called somebody else got her? Or I think
• 1:03:35
Speaker 1: she's playing him and they really got no husband, and
• 1:03:38
Speaker 1: then got tired of that arrangement and then told him
• 1:03:41
Speaker 1: she had one, so now you want her, called somebody
• 1:03:44
Speaker 1: else want her? And then in the letter she turned
• 1:03:47
Speaker 1: around she only want you for your sperm. I don't
• 1:03:51
Speaker 1: really think she mard. I think she just told you
• 1:03:54
Speaker 1: that because when you said, will you married me, she said,
• 1:03:57
Speaker 1: I think about it. You can have a husband and
• 1:04:01
Speaker 1: think about this and this whole damn visa story and
• 1:04:07
Speaker 1: in vitro and you gonna volunteer the sperm. And look, man,
• 1:04:12
Speaker 1: she'd been wanting this baby the whole whole time. She's
• 1:04:15
Speaker 1: been wanting you to do it. She trying to play
• 1:04:17
Speaker 1: it off like she don't want to get married. That's
• 1:04:19
Speaker 1: why she casually said I have a husband now, and
• 1:04:22
Speaker 1: your dumb ass went, what now you went and bought
• 1:04:26
Speaker 1: the ring that she didn't thought about it. Now suppose
• 1:04:28
Speaker 1: she'd come back and tell you, you know what, I
• 1:04:31
Speaker 1: am gonna marry you. But the clicker is supposed she
• 1:04:35
Speaker 1: does this. I just told you, I was getting married
• 1:04:38
Speaker 1: to see what you was gonna do. I can't put
• 1:04:42
Speaker 1: it past her. That'll be good. Then he'll see if
• 1:04:45
Speaker 1: he's really in love with her or just jealous jealous? Right,
• 1:04:49
Speaker 1: whatever happens, dog, you got whatever coming to you. It's
• 1:04:54
Speaker 1: gonna come to you now. Why don't you just say, hey, look,
• 1:05:00
  Speaker 1: I love you. I've known it for a while. I'm
• 1:05:03
Speaker 1: too old to play these games. I don't want nobody else. Yeah,
• 1:05:06
Speaker 1: I want to marry you. Let's go. And if she
• 1:05:10
Speaker 1: go down to that courthouse and get married, then you
• 1:05:13
Speaker 1: know goodn't here? Well it wasn't nobody else. But do
• 1:05:15
Speaker 1: you really won't it anyway? Right? Or don't you? He's
• 1:05:19
Speaker 1: been pranked? Yeah? This is ugly. Dog, you got played.
• 1:05:25
Speaker 1: You got played with that, I got somebody. Well that's
• 1:05:30
Speaker 1: it man, you got played, pimp. Yeah, welcome to the ride.
• 1:05:37
Speaker 1: Ever been played? Ever been played? Junior? Yeah? Yeah? Ever
• 1:05:42
Speaker 1: been played? Tommy? Of course a hundred times. Ever been played? Jay?
• 1:05:54
Speaker 1: Why are you sing me? Bade me think about it?
• 1:06:03
Speaker 1: You were finely? Yeah? Who happened? That's how you learn
• 1:06:08
Speaker 1: from your mistakes? Was with me tonight before out with
• 1:06:13
Speaker 1: the other dude? Yeah? Really, Junior? Happened. Yeah, happened that, Junior.
• 1:06:20
Speaker 1: I didn't have that. Listen, dude, the other dude came
• 1:06:25
Speaker 1: to pick her up and she left. Okay, checkmate, Jay, Okay.

Speaker 1: So some players had the words peace, equality, say their
• 1:07:27
Speaker 1: names freedom on the back of a jerseys Love Man.
• 1:07:32
Speaker 1: Is that was nice? I mean the Utah Jazz, the
• 1:07:35
Speaker 1: New Orleans Pelicans, Lakers, Clippers, coaches, referees. They knelt in
• 1:07:39
Speaker 1: solidarity during the national anthem that that the anthem was playing,

• 1:07:51
Speaker 1: you know he is. He gonna have to say something
• 1:07:53
Speaker 1: that I do have one complaint. Yeah, that's that, James.
• 1:08:01
Speaker 1: It's gonna be genius. Go ahead, all happy that day
• 1:08:03

• 1:08:20
Speaker 1: the players take your part in various protests, and then

Speaker 1: am here to utilize my voice. She said that she
• 1:10:48
Speaker 1: counts on most to be. What she counts on most
• 1:10:51
Speaker 1: is to be a good mother, a good daughter, and
• 1:10:54
Speaker 1: a good partner and a good sister. Yeah. So yeah,
• 1:10:58
Speaker 1: greatness A really nice person man. Yeah, she's really a
• 1:11:07
Speaker 1: nice person, man, Really, one on one, she is really
• 1:11:10
Speaker 1: really a nice person. She's twitty, she's got great personality.
• 1:11:14
Speaker 1: You know, I hate that people. I feel for anybody
• 1:11:19
Speaker 1: that lets Satan rob them of their destiny. That's his
• 1:11:24
Speaker 1: only mission. Yeah, he's the ultimate evil one. I'm just
• 1:11:29
Speaker 1: glad she got back towards the light because she's really
• 1:11:32
Speaker 1: really a cool person man. Yeah, definitely sure. And she
• 1:11:37
Speaker 1: thanked everyone for their prayers and their well wishes. Yeah
• 1:11:41
Speaker 1: she did. Um And In other news, this is sad
• 1:11:45
Speaker 1: former presidential hopeful and Trump supporter Herman Kaine has passed
• 1:11:50
Speaker 1: away from COVID nineteen. Herman Kane had been hospitalized for
• 1:11:55
Speaker 1: more than a month with a coronavirus after attending the
• 1:11:57
Speaker 1: president's ill faded Tulsa a rally without a mask. Uh.
• 1:12:03
Speaker 1: Mister Kane, who made his fortune in the restaurant business,

Speaker 1: sought the Republican nomination for the twenty and twelve election.
• 1:12:09
Speaker 1: Room we all remember that, but suspended his kid name right, yeah,
• 1:12:14
Speaker 1: over allegations of sexual misconduct, which he strongly denied. He's

Speaker 1: been a supporter of President Trump for a while, and
• 1:12:23
Speaker 1: he's been a strong supporter. Trump said he loved Herman
• 1:12:27
Speaker 1: Kane and he was his friend. You got my condolence, Yeah,
• 1:12:31
  Speaker 1: I mean yeah, I don't. I don't wish I don't
• 1:12:33
Speaker 1: wish death on nobody, nobody. I don't kill what you do. Yeah, exactly,
• 1:12:39
Speaker 1: that's the same. I mean, you know, he got family,
• 1:12:41
Speaker 1: he got kids, grandkids, you know, yeah, I don't. I
• 1:12:44
Speaker 1: don't care if you look man. You're not my enemy
• 1:12:48
Speaker 1: because you're a Republican or conservative. Absolutely no. You know,
• 1:12:53
Speaker 1: you become my enemy when you do something directed at me. Yeah,
• 1:12:57
Speaker 1: when you're yeah, you know, but if you got different
• 1:13:01
Speaker 1: belief or policy than me, you're not my enemy. I mean,
• 1:13:05
Speaker 1: you know, like I always say, Look though, the golden
• 1:13:08
Speaker 1: Eagle is the symbol of America. In order for an
• 1:13:10
Speaker 1: eagle to fly properly, it needs a right wing and
• 1:13:13
Speaker 1: a left wing. Right it don't fly with one wing partner.
• 1:13:19
  Speaker 1: So I don't mind a person having a different way
• 1:13:24
Speaker 1: of going about it than me. You know. You know,
• 1:13:26
Speaker 1: if you don't have values, that's one thing. But now
• 1:13:30
Speaker 1: you can't enforce all of your values on me, no
• 1:13:32
Speaker 1: more than I can force all of mine on you.
• 1:13:36
Speaker 1: That's kind of what President George W. Bush said at
• 1:13:39
Speaker 1: John Lewis's memorial Congressman John Lewis's memorial. He said that
• 1:13:44
Speaker 1: he and John Lewis didn't always see eye to eye
• 1:13:48
Speaker 1: on things. He said, but we're Americans, and that's why
• 1:13:51
Speaker 1: we live in this country because we can agree to disagree. Y. Yeah, yeah,
• 1:13:57
Speaker 1: we can be on the wrong, you know, on different sides,
• 1:13:59
Speaker 1: but it will come together, you know. So that's basically
• 1:14:03
Speaker 1: what you're saying as well. Stud And see Donald Trump
• 1:14:05
Speaker 1: is the direct opposite you either on his side or
• 1:14:10
Speaker 1: guess just it or your enemy that Yeah, yeah, exactly.
• 1:14:14
Speaker 1: There was no reaching across the aisle with this guy.
• 1:14:18
Speaker 1: That's why, once again we have a say soul in this.
• 1:14:23
Speaker 1: The only reason your vote, the only way your vote
• 1:14:26
Speaker 1: doesn't count, is if you don't cast it. Cast your
• 1:14:30
Speaker 1: vote this November to go to when we all vote
• 1:14:35
Speaker 1: dot org. If you're not a registered voter, go to
• 1:14:37
Speaker 1: when we all vote dot org and registered who didn't
• 1:14:41

• 1:14:44
Speaker 1: you did. Huh huh. That's how it works, man. We
• 1:14:52
Speaker 1: gotta vote. We have to vote, all right. Coming up,
• 1:14:55

• 1:15:05
Speaker 1: So remember when we used to go to like slumber
• 1:15:09
Speaker 1: parties and stuff. How much fun we used to have
• 1:15:11
Speaker 1: go to parties with our friends, get together girls as
• 1:15:15
Speaker 1: the house. Yes, yes, go ahead, if we stay all

• 1:15:25
Speaker 1: just a blast. Yeah. Well, a group of professional women
• 1:15:29
Speaker 1: called Sister Diamonds has put together a fabulous event. It's

Speaker 1: called the International Slumber Party, and it happens tomorrow, August first.
• 1:15:38
Speaker 1: It is the first annual International Slumber Party. It happens tomorrow.

• 1:16:07
Speaker 1: virtually yeah, yeah, empowerment panels, a live DJ, a DJ
• 1:16:14
Speaker 1: you know for the breaks and everything, and it's all

Speaker 1: going to be I love this Part two in the

Speaker 1: comfort of your own home. They'll have giveaways, virtual swag bags.
• 1:16:23
Speaker 1: It's going to be nothing like you've ever experienced before.
• 1:16:27
Speaker 1: It's for women all over the world. You do not
• 1:16:29
Speaker 1: want to miss it. Please go to International slumber Party
• 1:16:33
Speaker 1: dot com International slumber Party dot com to register today,
• 1:16:38

• 1:16:42
Speaker 1: We'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning
• 1:16:44
Speaker 1: Show right after this. You're listening to show. According to
• 1:16:50
Speaker 1: the Black Information Network, hundreds of mourners gathered at the
• 1:16:54
Speaker 1: Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta to bid farewell to Congressman
• 1:16:58
Speaker 1: John Lewis. Three President spoke at the funeral of the
• 1:17:02
Speaker 1: late civil rights icon. Three presidents. We're talking three real presidents, Yes,
• 1:17:08
Speaker 1: President Clinton, President President Obama delivered. Yes. Yes. He spoke
• 1:17:15
Speaker 1: about bloody Sunday when Congressman Lewis and other protesters were
• 1:17:20
Speaker 1: beaten by police in Selma fifty five years ago. President
• 1:17:23
Speaker 1: Obama also spoke about voter suppression. Take a listen. We
• 1:17:28
Speaker 1: may no longer have to guess the number of jelly
• 1:17:31
Speaker 1: beans in the jar in order to cast a ballot.
• 1:17:37
Speaker 1: But even as we sit here, there are those in
• 1:17:41
Speaker 1: power who are doing their darndest to discourage people from voting,
• 1:17:48
Speaker 1: by closing polling locations and targeting minorities and students with
• 1:17:53
Speaker 1: restrictive idea laws, and attacking our voting rights with surgical precision,
• 1:18:00
Speaker 1: even undermining the postal service in the run up to
• 1:18:04
Speaker 1: an election that's gonna be dependent on mail in ballots
• 1:18:09
Speaker 1: so people don't get sick. Woh, that's a president now
• 1:18:12
Speaker 1: they miss him, we do. President Jimmy Carter also sent
• 1:18:17
Speaker 1: his condolences and a proclamation, so it was just a
• 1:18:20
Speaker 1: beautiful service and everything. President Obama also reminded Americans to
• 1:18:25
Speaker 1: be villigent, vigilant against the dark occurrence of this country's history.
• 1:18:30
Speaker 1: And I saw the beginning. I saw Jennifer J. Jay.
• 1:18:37
Speaker 1: If you don't if you don't vote, now, there's something
• 1:18:41
Speaker 1: seriously wrong with you. Really, that's that's a true statement. Well,
• 1:18:46
Speaker 1: we are at a critical juncture for our culture. See,
• 1:18:51
Speaker 1: this is critical juncture for our culture. Look at the
• 1:18:56
Speaker 1: Black Lives Matter movement. Look at the things that the
• 1:18:59
Speaker 1: people are saying who are against a movement. In Arkansas. Man,
• 1:19:04
Speaker 1: this white person was out there holding the sign say
• 1:19:06
Speaker 1: black lives matter. They recorded how many whites drove by him,
• 1:19:11
Speaker 1: saying stuff like put that sign down, you're white, white women,
• 1:19:16
Speaker 1: white lives matter too. See, they've missed the whole point
• 1:19:20
Speaker 1: of what black lives matter is. So what we've got
• 1:19:23
Speaker 1: to do is we have to prove that black lives
• 1:19:27
Speaker 1: matter in a way that we've never shown him before.
• 1:19:30
Speaker 1: And that's at the polls, because we can do something
• 1:19:34
Speaker 1: about this that's happening to us from this president coming up.
• 1:19:39
Speaker 1: It's our last break of the day. Ain't gonna be
• 1:19:42
Speaker 1: no tip, Okay, there's no tip. Lead him chickaways and
• 1:19:45
Speaker 1: drink at the dough. Okay, there's no there's no tip,
• 1:19:51
Speaker 1: all right. Also coming up closing remarks from the one
• 1:19:54
Speaker 1: and only, our fearless leader, Steve Harvey. That is coming
• 1:19:58
Speaker 1: up at forty nine minutes after right after to this
• 1:20:00
Speaker 1: you're listening show. All right, Here we are our last
• 1:20:05
Speaker 1: break of the day of the week on this Friday. Wow,
• 1:20:10
Speaker 1: a lot of things going on this week, but we
• 1:20:12
Speaker 1: got we got going. Yes, I have a very important announcement.
• 1:20:19

• 1:20:23

• 1:20:35
Speaker 1: some business. Watch out there now, what is it fulfilming house? Okay,
• 1:20:42
Speaker 1: what is that? Fulfilming houses where you tell us no,
• 1:20:46
Speaker 1: fulfilming houses where you send your merchandise and they send
• 1:20:49
Speaker 1: it out for you. You know, like right now, my
• 1:20:51
Speaker 1: fulfilming house is fulfilled by Amazon. I'm using Amazon, but
• 1:20:55
Speaker 1: you know, I'm starting to a lot of orders, so
• 1:20:56
Speaker 1: I'm looking for a privately owned fulfilming house. You know,
• 1:20:59
Speaker 1: not that Amazon is not working good, because it really is.
• 1:21:01
Speaker 1: But I'd like to throw some business to a privately
• 1:21:04
Speaker 1: owned fulfilming house. So if you're privately owned fulfilming house,
• 1:21:08
Speaker 1: hit me up at hotter than a mophone dot com.
• 1:21:11
Speaker 1: I'm trying to put some money in your pocket. All right, Steve,
• 1:21:16
Speaker 1: you got some wisdom? Gets on you? Now? Yeah? What
• 1:21:25
Speaker 1: you got some wisdom somewhere? That's very close to an
• 1:21:28
Speaker 1: idea I'll come up with Jay soon. Maybe you guys
• 1:21:32
Speaker 1: couldn't do some business together. I have an interesting idea
• 1:21:37
Speaker 1: that I was going to do. So anyway, Um, yeah,
• 1:21:41
Speaker 1: we'll have that talk. Listen. Um, this this election that's
• 1:21:48
Speaker 1: coming that we're faced with. I don't want anybody to
• 1:21:52
Speaker 1: sleep on the importance of what has to happen in November.
• 1:21:59
Speaker 1: This is this is serious, y'all. This is serious. Don't
• 1:22:04
Speaker 1: let the distractions get in the way. President Obama, when
• 1:22:09
Speaker 1: he was speaking at Congressman Lewis's funeral, he talked about
• 1:22:16
Speaker 1: how voter supe voter suppression is in full effect right now,
• 1:22:21
Speaker 1: how they are closing polling places in neighborhoods of color
• 1:22:26
Speaker 1: and condensing them down to one that's creating these long lines.
• 1:22:31
Speaker 1: They are going to be some long lines this November,
• 1:22:34
Speaker 1: make no mistake about it. But you can early vote,
• 1:22:40
Speaker 1: which is just as important. You can earlier vote, and
• 1:22:45
Speaker 1: then the people who cannot early vote when they go there,
• 1:22:48
Speaker 1: they will be standing in regular lines. We've got to
• 1:22:51
Speaker 1: be considered of those people. If you can early vote,
• 1:22:54
Speaker 1: we have to early vote. But in order to early vote,
• 1:22:59
Speaker 1: you have to be registered. But really, man, you have
• 1:23:04
Speaker 1: to understand the significance of this. Stop saying that your
• 1:23:11
Speaker 1: vote doesn't count, because it does. Every vote counts. The
• 1:23:16
Speaker 1: only way your vote don't count is if you don't
• 1:23:19
Speaker 1: cast it. Every vote counts, yours included. We need you
• 1:23:25
Speaker 1: to vote. We need everybody to vote this year because
• 1:23:33
Speaker 1: I just have to tell you, man, you're not going
• 1:23:38
Speaker 1: to like another four years of this. You're just not. Look,
• 1:23:43
Speaker 1: look what's happened has already been so many. First, we
• 1:23:48
Speaker 1: have a president that tweets. We have a president that
• 1:23:54
Speaker 1: doesn't care about the people he's leading. We have a
• 1:23:57
Speaker 1: president who makes false state after false statement after false statement.
• 1:24:03
Speaker 1: We have a president who's divisive. We have a president
• 1:24:07
Speaker 1: in office where a white supremist group in hate groups
• 1:24:10
Speaker 1: think they have a friend in the White House. We
• 1:24:15
Speaker 1: have a president that does not care about the oppressed.
• 1:24:20
Speaker 1: We have a president. Every time he takes up a cause,
• 1:24:24
Speaker 1: if you notice carefully, it's got something to do with
• 1:24:27
Speaker 1: people of color, Immigration, the kneeling, the Black Lives Matter,
• 1:24:35
Speaker 1: all of this, Docta everything, every issue he takes up,
• 1:24:40
Speaker 1: the ban on Muslims, every issue he takes up has
• 1:24:44
Speaker 1: something to do with people of color. Why would you
• 1:24:49
Speaker 1: not pay attention to this? Now? If you are non
• 1:24:55
Speaker 1: African American and you are hearing me, I can't tell
• 1:24:58
Speaker 1: you how gratifying it is is to see those of
• 1:25:01
Speaker 1: you who are supporting the Black Lives Matter in protest,
• 1:25:06
  Speaker 1: whether it's silent, it's just making a donation, it's standing
• 1:25:09
Speaker 1: out there with a sign. I can't tell you how
• 1:25:11
Speaker 1: important that is. But I know this for a fact, man,
• 1:25:16
Speaker 1: I know a lot of non African Americans that's sick
• 1:25:19
Speaker 1: of this mess. Man, sick of this mess. Right here,
• 1:25:24
Speaker 1: we cannot we cannot allow this to happen again. For
• 1:25:30
Speaker 1: four years, he has done everything in his power to
• 1:25:34
Speaker 1: divide us. And I'm telling you, in November, you have
• 1:25:38
Speaker 1: a chance to do something about that. All you got
• 1:25:42
Speaker 1: to do is vote, show everyone that black lives matter everywhere,
• 1:25:51
Speaker 1: not just when it comes to police activity towards people
• 1:25:55
Speaker 1: of color, not just when it comes to fair housing,
• 1:25:59
Speaker 1: but when it comes to voting. We can help determine
• 1:26:03
Speaker 1: who's in that White House in November. When we all
• 1:26:08
Speaker 1: vote dot org. It's what you have to go to
• 1:26:12
Speaker 1: to make sure you're registered. And then y'all get smart.
• 1:26:16
Speaker 1: Get smart when you know that it's time that you
• 1:26:19
Speaker 1: can early vote in your community, Tell your friends and relatives,
• 1:26:23
Speaker 1: when you know it's time that that that you can
• 1:26:27
Speaker 1: sign up. When you learn things about it, share that information.
• 1:26:32
Speaker 1: We got some business to take care of this November. Y'all.
• 1:26:35
Speaker 1: Do not sleep this election. This is a very very
• 1:26:39
Speaker 1: important one. Are you not hearing what Barack Obama is saying?
• 1:26:44
