- 2:13Speaker 2: Business.
- 2:14Speaker 7: Got a radio show because God is in a forgiving business.
- 2:18Speaker 7: Got a radio show because God will let you turn
- 2:20Speaker 7: your life around.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Business.
- 2:22Speaker 7: Got a radio show because God know better than you know. Yeah,
- 2:27Speaker 7: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Didn't see it coming,
- 2:30Speaker 7: but he did. I'm gonna share with you today a
- 2:34Speaker 7: principle of success. You know, it's it's important that we
- 2:40Speaker 7: get our lives together. I mean it really really is.
- 2:43Speaker 7: You know, to hereafter is exactly what it says is
- 2:46Speaker 7: to hereafter, and hopefully for the majority of us, that's
- 2:51Speaker 7: quite a way He's off. So what about how you
- 2:54Speaker 7: living today? How about it now. You know, often talk
- 2:59Speaker 7: to you in the morning about your relationship with God
- 3:02Speaker 7: that can never change. That is at the forefront and
- 3:06Speaker 7: the best thought process that I can give you. And
- 3:11Speaker 7: I know who I'm talking to on the radio. I'm
- 3:14Speaker 7: talking to a lot of people, man, who out there
- 3:18Speaker 7: just not sure. And I'm talking to a lot of
- 3:20Speaker 7: people out there man that's trying to pull it together.
- 3:24Speaker 7: In other words, you know, I'm talking to a lot
- 3:26Speaker 7: of people like myself. There is a principle of success
- 3:31Speaker 7: that is out there that if more people understood one
- 3:34Speaker 7: of the base this is just one of one of
- 3:36Speaker 7: the basic principles of success, you would have more success
- 3:39Speaker 7: in your life. And that principle is this, the more
- 3:43Speaker 7: people you help become successful, the more successful you become. Well,
- 3:50Speaker 7: the more people you help become successful, the more successful
- 3:54Speaker 7: you become. Because you are practicing helping your and as
- 3:59Speaker 7: you do unto others, then it's done unto you. You
- 4:05Speaker 7: build relationships. When you do that, people forget and success
- 4:10Speaker 7: that has to be relationships. There is no one person
- 4:13Speaker 7: in this world who is just successful all on their own.
- 4:17Speaker 7: You are successful, and successful people form relationships, and you've
- 4:23Speaker 7: got to really coddle these relationships. You've got to nurture
- 4:27Speaker 7: these relationships.
- 4:29Speaker 2: They don't just happen. You don't just get cool with
- 4:33Speaker 2: people just cause you cool.
- 4:35Speaker 7: No, you've got to do some cool things to these
- 4:38Speaker 7: people and for these people, for these people to be
- 4:40Speaker 7: cool with you when you need some cool. I don't
- 4:43Speaker 7: know if I'm explaining that right, but that's the best
- 4:45Speaker 7: way I can tell it to you. I'm just regular,
- 4:48Speaker 7: you know. I just speak like that. This is an
- 4:51Speaker 7: important principle to put into your life. The more people you.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Help become successful, the more successful you become. You can look.
- 5:01Speaker 2: You have to say to people, hey, look I've done that.
- 5:04Speaker 7: This is what you got to do. You got to
- 5:06Speaker 7: take some time out to share. You have to share information, experiences, thoughts.
- 5:12Speaker 7: You got to take a minute man to uplift somebody,
- 5:16Speaker 7: give them some encouragement.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Hey man, you can do it. Don't give up. You
- 5:21Speaker 2: have no idea. You you you right now.
- 5:26Speaker 7: You have no idea how significant you are to someone else,
- 5:32Speaker 7: how your words of encouragement could be the difference maker.
- 5:35Speaker 7: Today I'm talking about it's a person looking at you
- 5:38Speaker 7: that you don't even really know you, or you don't
- 5:40Speaker 7: really know them and you see them struggling with something,
- 5:43Speaker 7: just say, hey, you know what, I've been watching you
- 5:45Speaker 7: from afar. You gonna be all right, man, I see
- 5:48Speaker 7: some menu. Keep doing the right thing, man, you gonna
- 5:51Speaker 7: be alright. I had a meeting with a young man
- 5:54Speaker 7: for the first time, and this young man came into
- 5:58Speaker 7: my office and never met him. He has an internet service,
- 6:03Speaker 7: which anybody can teach me something about the internet, because
- 6:06Speaker 7: I know little too close to nothing.
- 6:09Speaker 2: He was twenty seven.
- 6:10Speaker 7: Years old, and he was amazingly bright at this and
- 6:16Speaker 7: I guess, you know, that's not that hard to impress me.
- 6:19Speaker 7: But the fluid speech pattern that he had about this
- 6:25Speaker 7: very very difficult subject. He was tossing around the terms
- 6:28Speaker 7: I had heard, but he was actually putting him in
- 6:30Speaker 7: sentences word made since to me. It's very fluid, very
- 6:35Speaker 7: sure of himself. When he was talking about this little thing,
- 6:38Speaker 7: A young dude twenty seven years old. And when he
- 6:42Speaker 7: got through, the woman that had introduced me to him,
- 6:45Speaker 7: I was leaving my office and she was going to
- 6:47Speaker 7: escort him out, and I turned around and I said,
- 6:50Speaker 7: young man, I said, what.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Size pants are you?
- 6:54Speaker 7: And I guessed it because I've been dressing for long,
- 6:58Speaker 7: I've been all them sizes. I said, you about a
- 7:01Speaker 7: thirty ways? He said, yes, Sir. I said, what side
- 7:03Speaker 7: shoe you waisted nine and a half? I said, what
- 7:06Speaker 7: side shirt is? At a medium? He said, I really
- 7:09Speaker 7: like extra large. I said, well, that's too big for you.
- 7:12Speaker 7: You just want to look lousy and bagging. And so
- 7:16Speaker 7: I was talking to him. Man I said, Man, I'm
- 7:18Speaker 7: gonna help you out. I said, man, because let me
- 7:20Speaker 7: tell you something. You a sharp young dude. Man, you
- 7:24Speaker 7: are raisor sharp. I said, You've really really impressed me today.
- 7:28Speaker 7: I said, And you know what, young brother, I said,
- 7:30Speaker 7: You're gonna make a lot of money one day. Man,
- 7:33Speaker 7: I said, but I want you to get your image up.
- 7:36Speaker 7: I want you to I want you to look at
- 7:37Speaker 7: how you dress because you're coming into professional people's office
- 7:41Speaker 7: and you're talking about doing something for them, and it
- 7:44Speaker 7: takes money to make it happen. I got to give
- 7:46Speaker 7: you money to make this happen. What you cannot afford
- 7:49Speaker 7: to do is look like you need every dime of
- 7:51Speaker 7: this money. See you get when you go in there
- 7:54Speaker 7: and you talking about money with another person, the person
- 7:58Speaker 7: that's gonna give you this money, cannot you can't look
- 8:00Speaker 7: like you need every dime of this money, you know,
- 8:03Speaker 7: so you got to start presenting yourself. And that's all
- 8:06Speaker 7: I just said to him. I just said, man, but
- 8:08Speaker 7: you know what you shop, You're gonna make yourself some money.
- 8:11Speaker 7: I'm gonna help you out a little bit. I walked out.
- 8:13Speaker 7: I went on bout my business. Later on that afternoon,
- 8:16Speaker 7: I had a meeting with the woman that bought him
- 8:17Speaker 7: in and she said, mister Harvey, you have no idea
- 8:20Speaker 7: what you just did.
- 8:21Speaker 2: He said, his eyes just teared up when you walked out.
- 8:24Speaker 7: He said, Wow, man, that man don't even know me,
- 8:28Speaker 7: and he just encouraged me. He said, man, I always
- 8:31Speaker 7: thought I might could make it, but he said I ain't.
- 8:33Speaker 7: Never had nobody like him tell me I could make it.
- 8:37Speaker 7: And just hearing it from him, man, that's all right.
- 8:40Speaker 7: I'm gonna get my clothes together. But you know, I've
- 8:44Speaker 7: been homeless. And then he started telling the woman that
- 8:47Speaker 7: he had been homeless, and so, you know, then she
- 8:50Speaker 7: telling me that now I'm fit to cry, because you know,
- 8:52Speaker 7: I've been in that hole before, and I just and
- 8:54Speaker 7: I'm just sharing that story with y'all just to say
- 8:57Speaker 7: you don't know.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Who you talking to.
- 9:01Speaker 7: But what does it hurt if you just extend your
- 9:03Speaker 7: hand to a person and give them a moment of encouragement.
- 9:08Speaker 7: See this young brother right here, he could come back
- 9:11Speaker 7: one day and be a major benefit to me because
- 9:14Speaker 7: he has a skill set that I don't have.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Oh.
- 9:18Speaker 7: I might be old, mister Steve Harvey, but hey, guess what,
- 9:21Speaker 7: I don't know nothing about what this young cat know.
- 9:24Speaker 7: And he'dne went off and educated himself. And just a
- 9:27Speaker 7: word of encouragement from somebody like yourself can make all
- 9:32Speaker 7: the difference in another person's life.
- 9:35Speaker 2: So remember on your way to the top.
- 9:38Speaker 7: The more people that you help become successful, the more
- 9:42Speaker 7: successful you become. It's a requirement of God that you
- 9:46Speaker 7: do that. That ain't Steve Harvey talking. If you read
- 9:49Speaker 7: your Bible. Somebody got a Bible verse that backed me up,
- 9:51Speaker 7: emailed it to me today. If you know what it is,
- 9:54Speaker 7: I don't know, but y'all do out.
- 9:55Speaker 1: There all right, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 14:49Speaker 9: you would Hello, I'm trying to reach you, y'all please.
- 14:54Speaker 9: My name is from the District Attorney's office. Yes, Hi,
- 14:58Speaker 9: How are you giving you a call today?
- 15:00Speaker 4: Man?
- 15:00Speaker 9: I'm trying to get some updates from you. Your husband, mister,
- 15:03Speaker 9: is he still not working at this point?
- 15:07Speaker 2: No, sir? Okay? How long has he been out of
- 15:10Speaker 2: work so far?
- 15:10Speaker 4: Ma'am?
- 15:11Speaker 2: Could you could you give me an update.
- 15:12Speaker 5: On this first of the year January?
- 15:15Speaker 9: Okay, all right, here's what we're having. The problems that
- 15:18Speaker 9: we're having. You have a son, I think it's his
- 15:22Speaker 9: name is as well, fourteen years old, am I right?
- 15:26Speaker 2: Okay?
- 15:26Speaker 9: The child support is not being paid from mister for
- 15:31Speaker 9: the for mister young and we're trying to get this
- 15:34Speaker 9: thing rectified.
- 15:35Speaker 4: Now.
- 15:35Speaker 9: The problem that we're going to have, and the reason
- 15:37Speaker 9: why we're giving you a call is considering that your
- 15:40Speaker 9: husband hasn't worked since the first of the year. And
- 15:42Speaker 9: I haven't done the research yet. I'm just I'm just
- 15:45Speaker 9: not pulling up your file. I haven't done the research
- 15:47Speaker 9: to see how many months in the rears he is
- 15:50Speaker 9: on child support?
- 15:52Speaker 5: Is this starting once he lost his giant?
- 15:55Speaker 2: Okay?
- 15:55Speaker 9: Well, the problem that we're going to have is they're
- 15:58Speaker 9: going to start taking uh child support actually, and I
- 16:03Speaker 9: hate to give you this news out of your check
- 16:05Speaker 9: until I don't.
- 16:06Speaker 5: Understand how that's because I have my own kids. I
- 16:09Speaker 5: don't understand that.
- 16:10Speaker 2: I understand, but they're gonna be garnishing your check, ma'am.
- 16:12Speaker 9: Uh until this until your husband can get this thing
- 16:15Speaker 9: back on his feet and get it rectified and get
- 16:17Speaker 9: him up to pars for of all the payments that
- 16:19Speaker 9: are hurt.
- 16:20Speaker 5: And when will this be taking place? Because if that's
- 16:22Speaker 5: the case, I'm not gonna be working because that's not
- 16:25Speaker 5: gonna happen. I have my own children, so I don't
- 16:27Speaker 5: understand how that's so. I don't have anything to do
- 16:30Speaker 5: with child for it or anything like that. And if
- 16:32Speaker 5: that's the case, I'm not gonna be working as right now.
- 16:35Speaker 9: The garnishing of the check is gonna come from you
- 16:36Speaker 9: and you are at the hospital. Correct, No, that's not
- 16:40Speaker 9: it's not where you work.
- 16:41Speaker 5: I don't. I'm not gonna be working as him right now.
- 16:44Speaker 5: That's what I just tell you. So y'all do whatever
- 16:46Speaker 5: you have to do, and I'll do whatever I have
- 16:47Speaker 5: to do on my nd.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Okay, well, hold on, you're willing to quit your job.
- 16:50Speaker 2: I'm not understanding this.
- 16:52Speaker 5: You're sure why because I'm not going to be taking
- 16:54Speaker 5: care of someone else's kids and not have my own.
- 16:56Speaker 5: So how that's right? So somebody else can take your
- 16:59Speaker 5: minds because I'm not going.
- 17:01Speaker 4: To be doing it.
- 17:01Speaker 5: You're so right?
- 17:02Speaker 2: All right?
- 17:03Speaker 9: Well, I mean, I'm just you know, don't I don't
- 17:04Speaker 9: want you to be upset with you. I don't want
- 17:06Speaker 9: you to be upset with me.
- 17:07Speaker 5: I can be able to contact you, Okay, now.
- 17:10Speaker 9: I'm gonna let I'm gonna let you know this is
- 17:12Speaker 9: a bit of information. You're still gonna if you're quitting
- 17:15Speaker 9: your job. Man, you guys are still going to be
- 17:18Speaker 9: liable for the child support.
- 17:20Speaker 5: Okay, well that's fade, not you guys, because it's not
- 17:22Speaker 5: my children, sir. Okay, it's not you guys. He will
- 17:27Speaker 5: be liable. Okay, okay, because I don't I mean, can
- 17:30Speaker 5: I step you hold on moment because I need to
- 17:32Speaker 5: step outside. If that's okay, or there's a number I
- 17:35Speaker 5: can contact you back.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Okay, are you able to step outside right now?
- 17:39Speaker 5: Yes, but I'm gonna get on the elevator and it's
- 17:41Speaker 5: gonna kind of so to call.
- 17:43Speaker 2: Let's do this.
- 17:44Speaker 9: Why don't you step outside and I wait for you
- 17:46Speaker 9: to call give me about forty five seconds, but I'm
- 17:48Speaker 9: going to give a call to my manager on this situation.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Okay, please do sir?
- 17:52Speaker 4: All right?
- 17:53Speaker 2: Thank you?
- 17:57Speaker 4: Hello?
- 17:57Speaker 9: Okay, miss yes, sir ah again from the District Attorney's office.
- 18:01Speaker 5: Okay, you can hear me now, yes, I can can

- 23:36Speaker 2: With my husband.
- 23:36Speaker 7: If you'd brought him over there and introduced your husband,
- 23:38Speaker 7: you just nix the whole thing. But you probably didn't
- 23:42Speaker 7: do that. Hey, my husband is here, Come and meet
- 23:46Speaker 7: my husband. Your husband would have felt better about it,
- 23:48Speaker 7: but you probably didn't do that. And then you just
- 23:51Speaker 7: walked back over there. Oh that was so, he said,
- 23:54Speaker 7: So who was that?
- 23:56Speaker 4: Oh?
- 23:56Speaker 2: That is her from my job?
- 23:58Speaker 1: Who is herwork?
- 24:00Speaker 2: My job? So what was you standing over there all
- 24:02Speaker 2: that time for you? Just sawing that work? Yeah, now

- 24:30Speaker 1: I feel like that's his problem, not mine.
- 24:33Speaker 3: What is so wrong about wanting my whole bed to

- 25:53Speaker 2: know what, I know.
- 25:53Speaker 3: It so uh so Christy and Richmond. She shouldn't feel
- 25:58Speaker 3: bad for wanting to have her bed or right.
- 26:01Speaker 2: That's what. Why don't she just tell the man that's
- 26:03Speaker 2: what I do. I don't want to spend the night.

- 26:49Speaker 1: why I care?
- 26:50Speaker 3: Is she trying to get back at me because I
- 26:52Speaker 3: use pass codes on my devices?
- 26:55Speaker 1: Or is she possibly talking to another man?
- 27:00Speaker 4: Well?

- 41:57Speaker 12: But you learned from your parents from my parents.
- 42:01Speaker 10: You talking about my parents. Yes, don't go talk to
- 42:07Speaker 10: the police. Don't say nothing to the police. Shut up,

- 42:16Speaker 8: That's the first lesson, live my senior.
- 42:25Speaker 9: All I asked you, son, is just give it, y'all.

- 43:24Speaker 10: he taught me how to be a great provider, just
- 43:27Speaker 10: how to provide.
- 43:28Speaker 2: I had learned that.
- 43:29Speaker 10: I can honestly say I never had to go without
- 43:31Speaker 10: a lot of things because my father went to work,
- 43:34Speaker 10: and he went to work every single day. He worked
- 43:36Speaker 10: twelve and sixteen hours. So I wasn't really allowed to
- 43:38Speaker 10: go mess up at school, even though I did, but
- 43:40Speaker 10: that would hurt him because you're not seeing what I'm doing.
- 43:43Speaker 8: I'm providing.
- 43:44Speaker 1: Okay, I like that.
- 43:45Speaker 4: I like it.
- 43:46Speaker 1: Yeah, tell my father.
- 43:48Speaker 2: Saw me how to work.
- 43:49Speaker 12: Man.

- 43:53Speaker 9: learning how to run a drill or song everything tracking yard.
- 43:59Speaker 2: I was doing all that.
- 44:00Speaker 9: There was nothing I could not do with my hands.
- 44:02Speaker 9: My daddy taught me how to work, and we worked, man.
- 44:05Speaker 9: We worked like I don't know if you ever seen them,
- 44:07Speaker 9: a little aluminum ten buildings that people used to have
- 44:10Speaker 9: in their backyard for storage.
- 44:12Speaker 2: We used to put them in all the yeah for
- 44:15Speaker 2: Montgomery Wards.

- 44:19Speaker 9: would leave me there, and by the time he come back,
- 44:21Speaker 9: I had I got the shed put together. And I'm
- 44:23Speaker 9: watch him pay my daddy about two hundred dollars for
- 44:25Speaker 9: putting it together.
- 44:26Speaker 2: And then here come my fifteen dollars. I said, I be,
- 44:31Speaker 2: this is what I got. I had to put the
- 44:33Speaker 2: whole shed together.
- 44:38Speaker 4: I know.
- 44:40Speaker 7: My father was my everything. Taught me everything I know
- 44:44Speaker 7: about manhood. Today, I am who I am because he
- 44:47Speaker 7: was who he was. Now your question was, how did
- 44:50Speaker 7: you How did your father affect your.
- 44:52Speaker 1: World view, your view of the world exactly.
- 44:55Speaker 2: I wasn't allowed to have no view of the world.
- 44:59Speaker 2: We just need this. See what I see, and that's all.
- 45:02Speaker 7: No worry about what they're doing over there in Spain
- 45:05Speaker 7: and all that. That ain't your biousness. You don't have
- 45:08Speaker 7: no worldview. You just see what I'm You just better
- 45:11Speaker 7: look at what I'm trying to show you, and all
- 45:13Speaker 7: this world view you get that later. Well, right now,
- 45:18Speaker 7: we're digging this hole, gonna put this post and make
- 45:20Speaker 7: these sense.
- 45:21Speaker 2: That's your view.
- 45:23Speaker 7: Look down in that hole, make sure it's deep enough.
- 45:25Speaker 7: That was I wasn't allowed to have a worldview.
- 45:32Speaker 12: There you have it. Yeah, all right, last one, guys,
- 45:37Speaker 12: we're asking these questions as we approach Father's Day or
- 45:41Speaker 12: talk about it. Who has been your most influential mentor
- 45:45Speaker 12: or role model.
- 45:46Speaker 2: In your career? Mister Steve.
- 46:00Speaker 7: Yeah, Steve has been the most drama for me in

- 46:39Speaker 2: Right there?
- 46:40Speaker 1: When you won't what like kiss?
- 46:41Speaker 12: And all right, we'll get into and find out what

- 49:14Speaker 5: who're you.
- 49:14Speaker 13: Trying to reach?
- 49:15Speaker 4: I'm trying to reach Angela? This Angela?
- 49:17Speaker 2: Oh yeah?
- 49:18Speaker 4: This yee Hi Angela. This is Chip Chip. I'm the
- 49:21Speaker 4: new camp director for the cheerleading camp for the summer.
- 49:24Speaker 4: Oh hi, Chip, what can I do for you? Just
- 49:26Speaker 4: want to give you a courtesy call your daughter. You've
- 49:28Speaker 4: got her signed up for four weeks with the camp,
- 49:31Speaker 4: right yeah. Yeah, this is you guys, third year being
- 49:35Speaker 4: a part of the camp, yep.
- 49:36Speaker 13: And she's really excited. She lives coming to the camp
- 49:39Speaker 13: and we think it's a great thing for how to
- 49:41Speaker 13: be involved in what's up.
- 49:42Speaker 4: Okay, you guys just finished the whole cheerleading season too,
- 49:45Speaker 4: am I right? The competition season?
- 49:47Speaker 13: Yes, just coming off of that right right?
- 49:50Speaker 4: Okay, Well we're getting ready for the summer and everybody's
- 49:52Speaker 4: excited about coming out and being a part of what's
- 49:55Speaker 4: going on. So here's what I wanted to give you
- 49:57Speaker 4: a little bit. Like I said, I'm the new camp director.
- 49:59Speaker 4: I was uh just starting this job. I got a
- 50:02Speaker 4: few notes that that were given to me about about
- 50:07Speaker 4: so I wanted to give you a call and see
- 50:09Speaker 4: if I could talk to you about it.
- 50:10Speaker 13: A few notes giving to you about it.
- 50:12Speaker 4: Yeah, just a couple of notes. I don't think it's
- 50:13Speaker 4: anything that we can make sure is okay?
- 50:15Speaker 13: What kind of notes?
- 50:16Speaker 4: Well, it's been brought to my attention that some of
- 50:18Speaker 4: the parents whose daughters are out there as well, there's
- 50:21Speaker 4: going to be there this summer a little concerned about
- 50:24Speaker 4: her being on top of the pyramid, that she's uh
- 50:29Speaker 4: is a little heavy? Should sheat uh?
- 50:33Speaker 3: Right?
- 50:33Speaker 13: Way, wait, wait, liber way, hold home. You calling me
- 50:37Speaker 13: about some some other parents and saying about how big
- 50:42Speaker 13: my child is or how much my child? Ways?
- 50:45Speaker 4: Is that? What I wanted to let you know is
- 50:47Speaker 4: is we're going to put together a base.
- 50:52Speaker 13: Oh no, you ain't gonna put no bab I don't
- 50:54Speaker 13: know already take my money? And what you say? Your
- 50:56Speaker 13: name is Chip? And how long have you been to
- 50:59Speaker 13: the because I was just up there two weeks ago
- 51:02Speaker 13: and they told me that she was gonna be the
- 51:04Speaker 13: same position that she was last year.
- 51:07Speaker 5: Because that is what worked.
- 51:08Speaker 13: That's the formation that works.
- 51:09Speaker 4: So I don't even know what we Supposedly that some
- 51:12Speaker 4: of the girls are complaining that she's too heavy to
- 51:14Speaker 4: hold up. So that's what seems to be the problem
- 51:17Speaker 4: in there. They're not getting a strong enough PERMD And I'm.
- 51:19Speaker 13: Going now, wait a minute, wait a minute. I know, well,
- 51:23Speaker 13: she ain't the biggest one I felt. Have you been?
- 51:25Speaker 12: I fail?
- 51:26Speaker 13: My child is not the biggest child I feel when
- 51:28Speaker 13: you because obviously you have not saved these cheerleaders. It's
- 51:31Speaker 13: somebody so old I felt.
- 51:33Speaker 4: Okay, hang on, say Angela, I want you to calm
- 51:35Speaker 4: down a bit.
- 51:36Speaker 13: No, I ain't nobody gonna calm down because I'm not
- 51:38Speaker 13: already paid my money. And this that I be talking
- 51:40Speaker 13: about what parents? What Parson said?
- 51:43Speaker 5: Something is it?
- 51:44Speaker 4: Is it Carrie, ma'am, I'm not. I'm not gonna state
- 51:46Speaker 4: who it is, but let's just say it was several Paris.
- 51:50Speaker 13: Has got something to say about my child and her
- 51:53Speaker 13: position on the cheerleading squad.
- 51:55Speaker 5: Because if you.
- 51:55Speaker 13: Ain't gonna park up no name, then I'm gonna say
- 51:57Speaker 13: what you're calling me about. I'll tell you one thing
- 52:00Speaker 13: when she gets outsel I done paid my money. She
- 52:02Speaker 13: better not be on no base. She better be in
- 52:05Speaker 13: the air. I guarantee you that. Right now I've been
- 52:08Speaker 13: hanging with you, ain't nobody said nothing to me about
- 52:12Speaker 13: and wait and all this.
- 52:14Speaker 4: Okay, Angela, can you hear me? I just wanted you
- 52:16Speaker 4: to hear me clearly. I haven't seen these young ladies yet.
- 52:19Speaker 4: Once I see them, I will critique what I think.
- 52:22Speaker 13: You don't even need to be calling me because you
- 52:24Speaker 13: ain't even seen nothing. So you calling me with some
- 52:26Speaker 13: he says she's from some other parents that's been skinned
- 52:29Speaker 13: and grinted in my face, and they now wanted it
- 52:31Speaker 13: saying nothing to me. They have been in my house,
- 52:33Speaker 13: we have parties, always giving this competition every week, in
- 52:36Speaker 13: every other day, and they couldn't say nothing to me
- 52:38Speaker 13: about my baby. I tell you what, why don't you
- 52:41Speaker 13: call your girls on the three way? Miss the chill?
- 52:44Speaker 13: If you can't call him on the three now I
- 52:46Speaker 13: got the normals, I call him on the three way.
- 52:48Speaker 4: Different Okay, okay man. All I wanted to do was
- 52:52Speaker 4: make you aware of the possibility that she may be
- 52:55Speaker 4: a god.

- 56:49Speaker 1: Thank you, nephew. Subject.
- 56:50Speaker 12: I don't think we're really cousins. Dear Stephen Shirley. In
- 56:54Speaker 12: high school, I liked a girl and she liked me.
- 56:57Speaker 12: We talked on the phone and hung out together all
- 57:00Speaker 12: all the time, and her mom and my mom were
- 57:02Speaker 12: close too, so she always was at my house or
- 57:06Speaker 12: I was at hers. By the time we graduated from
- 57:09Speaker 12: high school, we were even closer, and I told her
- 57:12Speaker 12: that I wanted her to be more than my friend.
- 57:14Speaker 12: She's always been really close to her mom and tells
- 57:17Speaker 12: her everything, so she told her mom that she and
- 57:20Speaker 12: I were dating. Her mom told her that I was
- 57:22Speaker 12: her cousin. When she told me we were related, I
- 57:26Speaker 12: felt strange because we had kissed a few times. We
- 57:30Speaker 12: never questioned it. Though we stopped dating and remained very
- 57:33Speaker 12: close cousins. We still did everything together and told each
- 57:37Speaker 12: other everything, and by the time we were in our
- 57:39Speaker 12: mid twenties, we had both had a bunch of bad
- 57:43Speaker 12: relationships and always ended up back together. I realized that
- 57:47Speaker 12: I loved my quote unquote cousin and she's a perfect
- 57:51Speaker 12: woman for me. So I finally asked my mom if
- 57:54Speaker 12: we were really related. My mom said, we're related somewhere
- 57:57Speaker 12: down the line, but there is no way for us
- 57:59Speaker 12: to find out now because all of the older relatives
- 58:03Speaker 12: are deceased. I told my mom that I'm in love
- 58:05Speaker 12: with her and I want to be with her. My
- 58:07Speaker 12: mom told me to follow my heart. I couldn't wait
- 58:10Speaker 12: to tell my cousin how I really felt, and I
- 58:12Speaker 12: was relieved when she told me she's been in love
- 58:15Speaker 12: with me forever. Since then, we've made love a few times,
- 58:19Speaker 12: and I asked her to marry me. She wants to
- 58:21Speaker 12: do a search of our family tree first. I don't
- 58:24Speaker 12: think we're cousins, and this is only postponing our happiness.
- 58:28Speaker 12: Should we search for answers or not? Hmm, Well, I'm
- 58:32Speaker 12: with you on this one.
- 58:34Speaker 1: I don't know. I just don't believe your guys are cousins.
- 58:37Speaker 1: I don't believe.
- 58:37Speaker 12: I think maybe you know her mom told her that
- 58:40Speaker 12: because she didn't want you guys dating for whatever reason.
- 58:43Speaker 12: And you know, I don't want you guys, not because
- 58:46Speaker 12: I don't want it to be true or anything. I
- 58:49Speaker 12: just don't believe your mom. Both of them are telling
- 58:52Speaker 12: the truth. Even your mom said you were related somewhere
- 58:55Speaker 12: down the line, she didn't even know, and she said,
- 58:58Speaker 12: there's no one in your family realidated. But I mean,
- 59:01Speaker 12: there are ways you can search to find out. It's
- 59:04Speaker 12: just I don't know, suspicious the way they handled everything
- 59:08Speaker 12: and the way they told you, And for that very reason, Yes,
- 59:11Speaker 12: I think you should find out if you're related. I
- 59:15Speaker 12: think you should do the search. I mean, knowledge is power.
- 59:17Speaker 12: The truth will set you free. What if you want
- 59:19Speaker 12: to have children down the line, you know, this is
- 59:23Speaker 12: something you should know, whether or not you're related.
- 59:26Speaker 1: There's a lot to consider.
- 59:27Speaker 12: You need the fact so you can make an informed,
- 59:30Speaker 12: a clear headed, right decision, and nothing just based on
- 59:33Speaker 12: your emotions.
- 59:34Speaker 1: Like your mom told you, just to follow your heart.
- 59:37Speaker 12: It sounds like you don't care though, if your cousins
- 59:40Speaker 12: are not, and your mom certainly doesn't care. But your
- 59:44Speaker 12: girl wants to know and it's important to her, so
- 59:47Speaker 12: I think you should do the search, and you know,
- 59:50Speaker 12: whatever you guys find out, let the chips fall, you
- 59:53Speaker 12: know where they may. I don't think you're really cousins.
- 59:57Speaker 12: I don't know then, and if you find out that
- 59:59Speaker 12: you're not, then you can move forward.
- 1:00:01Speaker 7: Steve, Well, this is a short response for me, because
- 1:00:05Speaker 7: I don't even understand. There's no advice to give in
- 1:00:08Speaker 7: this letter, Like you don't know, I'm to have sections
- 1:00:12Speaker 7: why I break down what somebody said and what the
- 1:00:14Speaker 7: other person said.
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: Is none of that in him?
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: And he just wants to know should they search? That's
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: his quest.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: Well, anyway, it ain't about that to me.
- 1:00:25Speaker 7: If if your mother, if the woman that she's really
- 1:00:29Speaker 7: close to, and y'all been over each other's house, if
- 1:00:33Speaker 7: that ain't your mother's sister, and and that woman that's
- 1:00:38Speaker 7: not you the sister this girl that you're dating, and okay,
- 1:00:43Speaker 7: let me let me put you the woman and your
- 1:00:45Speaker 7: mama are not sisters.
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: And then her daughter is the woman you love, that
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: ain't your cousin. So now that's.
- 1:00:57Speaker 7: Established right there now, mis y'all cousin somewhere down the line,
- 1:01:04Speaker 7: black people.
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: Know what's happening. How far you'll get lamb.
- 1:01:08Speaker 7: If all of them is dead, black people know what's
- 1:01:12Speaker 7: happening now. What didn't happen is one of the men
- 1:01:17Speaker 7: in the family and strayed off somewhere, had a child
- 1:01:23Speaker 7: out of wedlocked and one of your aunts or mama's
- 1:01:27Speaker 7: is them now?
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: Everybody dead? Stuff?
- 1:01:31Speaker 7: Y'all got bibles, Open up them with old bibles and
- 1:01:34Speaker 7: read who who?
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: You ain't gonna see your name in there.
- 1:01:40Speaker 7: Now once you don't see your name, This open and shutcase.
- 1:01:44Speaker 7: You know all the old people dead? Well, hot man,
- 1:01:49Speaker 7: So what are we.
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: Talking about here?
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: So?
- 1:01:50Speaker 7: I don't really think it's a case of if you
- 1:01:53Speaker 7: do the search, what you're gonna find, you're not gonna
- 1:01:57Speaker 7: find anything.
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: Then you read you in love with the girl. She
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: in love with the girl? I mean she in love
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: with you? I mean what, y'all what if.
- 1:02:08Speaker 12: They want kids? They're too far down the line for
- 1:02:11Speaker 12: that to affect anything you're saying.
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: I think they're way way down.
- 1:02:18Speaker 12: Removed.
- 1:02:19Speaker 7: Let me tell you something. It was something dangerous. The
- 1:02:21Speaker 7: boy's mother would not have said follow your heart.
- 1:02:25Speaker 12: But the other mother was the one that said their cousins.
- 1:02:29Speaker 12: I think she said it because she didn't want them
- 1:02:30Speaker 12: to date.
- 1:02:31Speaker 7: She just said that, Well, okay, tell her mama asked
- 1:02:34Speaker 7: or ask her mama how. But she didn't even tell
- 1:02:39Speaker 7: how these She can't even tell how these other two
- 1:02:44Speaker 7: is related. The two women wants their relationship.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: They're just they're just really close.
- 1:02:51Speaker 7: Cousin.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: Yeah, but they did it.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: Right, yea, they said the letter, the letter.
- 1:03:01Speaker 12: We'll have you card two of Stevenment coming up at
- 1:03:05Speaker 12: twenty three minutes to have to be our subject. I
- 1:03:08Speaker 12: don't think we're really cousins. We'll get back into it
- 1:03:10Speaker 12: right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: Do you think astronauts fight over elbow room?
- 1:03:22Speaker 7: Probably because advanced tech doesn't always mean more space. Until now,
- 1:03:27Speaker 7: introduce it the Hondai Ionic nine, a three row electric
- 1:03:32Speaker 7: suv with over three hundred miles of range, ultra fast
- 1:03:36Speaker 7: charging capability, and lots of space.
- 1:03:38Speaker 9: The all new Hondai Ionic nine face in an EV
- 1:03:41Speaker 9: Visit Hondai USA dot com for more details. EPA estimated
- 1:03:45Speaker 9: rings for Owing nine based on fully charged batteries for
- 1:03:47Speaker 9: comparison purpose only. Actual rings will vary based on several factors.
- 1:03:51Speaker 12: All right, come on, Steve, Let's recap today's interesting strawberry
- 1:03:55Speaker 12: letters subject, I don't think we're really cousins, all right,
- 1:03:59Speaker 12: This guy.
- 1:03:59Speaker 7: Was in high school. He liked the girl, and then
- 1:04:02Speaker 7: she liked him. They talked on the phone, hung out
- 1:04:05Speaker 7: together all the time. Her mom and my mom were
- 1:04:08Speaker 7: close too, so she was always at my house. Never
- 1:04:13Speaker 7: once in this letter does it say her mom and
- 1:04:16Speaker 7: his mom was related. By the time they graduated high school,
- 1:04:22Speaker 7: we were even closer. I told her he want to
- 1:04:25Speaker 7: be more than friends. She's always been really close to
- 1:04:28Speaker 7: her mom and tells everything. So she told her mom
- 1:04:31Speaker 7: she and I were dating. Her mom told her I
- 1:04:34Speaker 7: was her cousin. But your mama ain't related to the boys.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: Mama, they're just clumbed.
- 1:04:44Speaker 7: So now where that come from? Well, she told me
- 1:04:47Speaker 7: we related. I felt strange because I had kissed a
- 1:04:50Speaker 7: few times. We never questioned it. Told we stopped dating
- 1:04:54Speaker 7: and remained close everything together. Then they went through a
- 1:04:59Speaker 7: bunch your bad relationships and always ended up back together.
- 1:05:04Speaker 7: And then he said, I realized I loved my cousin
- 1:05:08Speaker 7: and she's a perfect woman for me. So this dude
- 1:05:11Speaker 7: go and ask his momy if they really related. The
- 1:05:14Speaker 7: mother said, y'all related somewhere down the line, But ain't
- 1:05:19Speaker 7: no way to find out because.
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: All the older relatives are dead. I did, well, okay,
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: when's we talking about this folk?
- 1:05:28Speaker 7: I told my mom that I'm in love with her
- 1:05:31Speaker 7: and I want to be with her. My mom told
- 1:05:33Speaker 7: me follow my heart. So then he ran and told
- 1:05:37Speaker 7: the girl who is he thinks his cousin, how it
- 1:05:39Speaker 7: really felt. And he was relieved when she told me
- 1:05:42Speaker 7: she been in.
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: Love with me forever.
- 1:05:44Speaker 7: Well, then since then they'd have made love a few times,
- 1:05:48Speaker 7: and I asked her to marry me. She wants to
- 1:05:51Speaker 7: do a search of our family tree first because she
- 1:05:54Speaker 7: don't want to come up get in bad. You know,
- 1:05:56Speaker 7: then half these people you think it's dead, gonna show
- 1:05:59Speaker 7: up at the wedd Well, it ain't this strange, you know.
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: I'm Virtue's least.
- 1:06:09Speaker 4: You know.
- 1:06:10Speaker 7: Frederick was your uncle, great great great great uncle, Frederick
- 1:06:14Speaker 7: Frederick Douglas.
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: Boy, you gotta afro just like you be. So she
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: wants to do a search and to think.
- 1:06:24Speaker 7: And he said, I don't think we cousins, and this
- 1:06:27Speaker 7: is only postponing our happiness.
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: Should we search for answers or not? Okay, let me
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: explain something to you, son.
- 1:06:35Speaker 7: When you get through searching, it ain't gonna change one
- 1:06:39Speaker 7: thing you feel about this girl. Come on, boy, when
- 1:06:43Speaker 7: you get through searching, it ain't gonna erase the fact
- 1:06:46Speaker 7: that y'all in love with each other and y'all being together.
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: It ain't gonna erase nothing, no matter what the search say.
- 1:06:55Speaker 7: And if you find out you somewhere way down the line,
- 1:06:59Speaker 7: how far do on the line is it?
- 1:07:01Speaker 4: Now?
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: How many people got to die?
- 1:07:04Speaker 4: See?
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: Well, are you ever did? Is dead?
- 1:07:11Speaker 4: Down?
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: The line is deep? But your mother and her mother
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: ain't even related, So what are y'all talking about?
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: See?
- 1:07:21Speaker 12: I think her mother didn't want them to date because
- 1:07:24Speaker 12: immediately when she told him that, they stopped dating.
- 1:07:29Speaker 7: If there's no relation between the two friends, well that
- 1:07:36Speaker 7: could be happening because maybe they just friends and the
- 1:07:39Speaker 7: two kids and other families.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, yeah, that's a possibility.
- 1:07:45Speaker 4: You know.
- 1:07:45Speaker 12: That's why I don't think their cousins. I don't think
- 1:07:48Speaker 12: it will hurt anything to do the search because.
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: What see the problem with that is we're talking about
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: two mothers. Though. See, once you have mothers involved and
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: ain't no, you ain't in the family.
- 1:08:00Speaker 7: Mean, this woman is the mother of the boy. Your
- 1:08:07Speaker 7: heart is the mother of the girl. Right, So, how
- 1:08:12Speaker 7: are these two kids related? How am I missing something?
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: It could be through Could it be through marriage? I
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: don't know.
- 1:08:24Speaker 7: Two women were married to the same brothers. Are some
- 1:08:28Speaker 7: friends that could happen.
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: But now, yeah, I don't think they're I just don't
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: think they're related.
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: What that test you take? If you had that test
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: one time? What is the name of that thing? Ancestry doctor?
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: That's it right there?
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: I just did one. I just did a test.
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: I just did it. I've had people do mind for me.
- 1:08:54Speaker 12: So that's what I'm saying. You don't have to have
- 1:08:56Speaker 12: living relatives, you know. So his mom said, everybody's dead
- 1:09:00Speaker 12: to prove whether or not there, I.
- 1:09:01Speaker 7: Can find stuff on my mother's side, but it goes
- 1:09:04Speaker 7: back to my father and it stops. So if down
- 1:09:09Speaker 7: the line ain't here, you can still find out.
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: We're going he love it though, Yeah, yeah.
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: She loves him. She wants She's the one that wants
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: to know. I mean you do have to consider. Yeah,
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: you have the smaller children and everything. You know, are
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: you out, Steve, You're done well?

- 1:10:26Speaker 6: remember that sometimes the things that you go through are
- 1:10:29Speaker 6: not necessarily for you, there for somebody else. I'm so
- 1:10:32Speaker 6: thankful to God and Saint Jude and all the Andrews
- 1:10:35Speaker 6: that work here. They took all the worry away.

- 1:10:43Speaker 10: In Hope today by texting shms to seven eight five
- 1:10:46Speaker 10: eight three three.
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: It is time now for Junior and Sports Talk. What
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: you got Junior?
- 1:10:52Speaker 10: All right, Charley, say, let me talk to people down
- 1:10:54Speaker 10: in Monroe, Louisiana. Here I come this weekend Friday and
- 1:10:57Speaker 10: Saturday at Billiage Arena. Go ahead, get your ticket, man, Monroe, Louisiana.
- 1:11:01Speaker 10: I ain't been there in some years. Last time I
- 1:11:03Speaker 10: was there, I did Monroe, Louisiana in a high school.
- 1:11:06Speaker 10: That's the last time I was down there. They put
- 1:11:09Speaker 10: us sitting there auditorium at the high school. Now we
- 1:11:12Speaker 10: had Billion's Arena, So go ahead and get your tickets.
- 1:11:14Speaker 10: I see y'all this Friday and Saturday. Okay, let's get
- 1:11:16Speaker 10: to it. Can we just talk about this?
- 1:11:18Speaker 8: Can we just say congratulations to co Co Golf?
- 1:11:21Speaker 13: Please?
- 1:11:22Speaker 10: Can we please give her shine right now? This girl
- 1:11:26Speaker 10: that won the French Open. And I don't I don't
- 1:11:30Speaker 10: like the fact that her opponent, Ernest Sabolenka was sitting
- 1:11:34Speaker 10: there talking like Coco had nothing to do with the
- 1:11:36Speaker 10: victory because she said she lost because she didn't play.
- 1:11:40Speaker 8: Her best Uh what's her name, Junior Arnold?
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: Sobolenka arena take your al, baby, Yeah, just take all
- 1:11:49Speaker 3: al and be quiet because Coke.
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: She would not beat that back.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: She would not be quiet.
- 1:11:55Speaker 10: She said she lost because she didn't play her best game. Well,
- 1:11:59Speaker 10: let me go over the scores for you for the sets.
- 1:12:01Speaker 10: I don't know a lot about golf, I mean not
- 1:12:04Speaker 10: by tennis, but I do know this. I know some
- 1:12:06Speaker 10: numbers are bigger than others, because see you lost in
- 1:12:09Speaker 10: three cents.
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: That's what I do that.
- 1:12:10Speaker 10: Okay, you won one set and then you lost the
- 1:12:13Speaker 10: other two and it was you on seventy six.
- 1:12:16Speaker 8: Okay, she won seven six, then you lost.
- 1:12:19Speaker 10: Now this is this is where you get mad. This
- 1:12:20Speaker 10: is where you lost it at This is where you lost.
- 1:12:22Speaker 10: French Trope at southlinka Coco Golf spanked you six.
- 1:12:25Speaker 8: To two because six is bigger than two. I know
- 1:12:28Speaker 8: that much that that's how you lost.
- 1:12:31Speaker 10: And then in the third set you lost six to four,
- 1:12:35Speaker 10: and that's the match that's done. That's nothing, nothing to
- 1:12:39Speaker 10: do with how you played, because six two you can't
- 1:12:41Speaker 10: explain that. In the finals, I don't know how you
- 1:12:43Speaker 10: games playing six to two, and you can't explain six four.
- 1:12:46Speaker 8: So therefore we ain't care. You can get mad if
- 1:12:49Speaker 8: you want to, but here's my part.
- 1:12:50Speaker 10: I saw how that girl was stunting on her and
- 1:12:54Speaker 10: when she won, she was on that plane and showed
- 1:12:56Speaker 10: them people that trophy where she said Hey, listen, that's
- 1:13:00Speaker 10: not the real trophy. When Coco was sitting up there
- 1:13:02Speaker 10: on her on the private jet going home as at
- 1:13:05Speaker 10: a champion, she said, Hey, let me show y'all something.
- 1:13:08Speaker 10: This is the real trophy we take home. The one
- 1:13:10Speaker 10: you saw me with yesterday. That wasn't the real trophy.
- 1:13:13Speaker 10: So congratulations of Cocoke.
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: Go off.
- 1:13:14Speaker 10: She is the future of tennis and that ain't gonna
- 1:13:16Speaker 10: be her last time winning South Lincoln.
- 1:13:18Speaker 8: So you may well get used to this.
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: This is how it is.
- 1:13:22Speaker 8: She's seen this before. I just want to say I'm
- 1:13:25Speaker 8: proud of her.
- 1:13:26Speaker 4: Man.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: She she had had this so much watched and we've
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: been watching her journey.
- 1:13:35Speaker 10: She had great examples like Serena Williams and Venus Williams.
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: She had now she got next, she got next. Let's
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: go coched next.
- 1:13:42Speaker 8: One, next one up, So go mer Thank you, Mercy.
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: All right, thank you.
- 1:13:50Speaker 4: Junior.
- 1:13:51Speaker 12: Coming up at the top of the hour, a father
- 1:13:53Speaker 12: on social media needs some advice. He says he's missing
- 1:13:56Speaker 12: his kids to be a good provider. We'll get into
- 1:13:59Speaker 12: it after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:06Speaker 12: All right, Steve, this is from Trey and Steve Harvey FM,
- 1:14:09Speaker 12: Trey says, I've been working long hours trying to land
- 1:14:12Speaker 12: a promotion that would really help us financially and lead
- 1:14:15Speaker 12: to better school options, more family vacations, less stress overall.
- 1:14:20Speaker 12: But in chasing that goal, I've barely seen my kids
- 1:14:24Speaker 12: the last few months. My son just turned eleven, and
- 1:14:27Speaker 12: when I asked what he wanted to do for his birthday,
- 1:14:29Speaker 12: he said nothing, Maybe we can go to dinner. I
- 1:14:32Speaker 12: know you're busy. It gutted me. I want to give
- 1:14:36Speaker 12: them everything, but not at the cost of actually knowing them.
- 1:14:40Speaker 12: How do I find the balance between being a good
- 1:14:43Speaker 12: provider and being a present father when it feels like
- 1:14:46Speaker 12: doing both well is impossible?
- 1:14:49Speaker 7: Perfect It is impossible because listen to me, Bishop Jake's
- 1:14:53Speaker 7: put it best. If you are trying to be a
- 1:14:57Speaker 7: good father and a good husband, it is impossible because
- 1:15:01Speaker 7: guess what. In in order to provide for them, you
- 1:15:06Speaker 7: have to go and be about the business. You have
- 1:15:09Speaker 7: to miss recitals, you have to be away from them,
- 1:15:12Speaker 7: You have to go to grind and the hustle is real.
- 1:15:15Speaker 7: It will call on you many times when you don't
- 1:15:17Speaker 7: feel like going. If you spend all your time with them,
- 1:15:21Speaker 7: Now you can't get out there and provide them to
- 1:15:23Speaker 7: things that they want, need, deserve and love to have.
- 1:15:26Speaker 7: So all that better education you're talking about providing for them,
- 1:15:30Speaker 7: all those wonderful vacations, you're talking about providing for them
- 1:15:34Speaker 7: that will not happen. It will not happen. And that
- 1:15:39Speaker 7: and that you're trying to do it without stress, that's
- 1:15:42Speaker 7: not gonna happen. So brother, welcome to manhood. If you
- 1:15:47Speaker 7: are trying to be a father and a husband, you
- 1:15:49Speaker 7: will never get at one hundred. That's why it is
- 1:15:51Speaker 7: one of the most thankless jobs in the world. Being
- 1:15:55Speaker 7: a real dad and being a real husband is a
- 1:15:59Speaker 7: very thankless position because it is going to cost you
- 1:16:03Speaker 7: so many moments to be able to do the one
- 1:16:06Speaker 7: thing that is required of you in the art of provision.
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: So welcome to the club, brother.
- 1:16:12Speaker 12: Questions, Now you can go to the questions. I have
- 1:16:15Speaker 12: a question because you know women do that too. They
- 1:16:18Speaker 12: they they're not considered the providers. But if they have
- 1:16:21Speaker 12: to go to work, have children, you know, do it all.
- 1:16:24Speaker 12: They want it all and everything. But many women are
- 1:16:27Speaker 12: but wait, wait, wait, this is my question. Women suffer
- 1:16:30Speaker 12: from guilt because of their mothers. Do men have guilt?
- 1:16:34Speaker 12: Do men that guilt all the time?
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: I mean he just said it, gutted it.
- 1:16:38Speaker 7: Man Winton often tells his story about the time they
- 1:16:41Speaker 7: dad they had painted this big chair of gold because
- 1:16:44Speaker 7: I was supposed to come that day and they was
- 1:16:46Speaker 7: finally gonna Wintam was gonna finally be able to prove
- 1:16:49Speaker 7: to him that Steve Harvey my daddy.
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: I couldn't go. I got called and to this day
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: he brings that up, you know, and it makes you feel.
- 1:16:59Speaker 7: Yeah, it was another six months before they believe with
- 1:17:02Speaker 7: my daddy to you came up there?
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: Wow, you know gilt written?
- 1:17:07Speaker 12: Yeah, great advice though we have time for another one.
- 1:17:10Speaker 12: This is from Herb on Steve Harvey FM. Herb says,
- 1:17:13Speaker 12: my wife's been on a serious health kick the last
- 1:17:16Speaker 12: six months, working out every day, eating clean and looking
- 1:17:19Speaker 12: better than ever. I'm proud of her, and she's tried
- 1:17:23Speaker 12: to get me involved too, but I haven't managed to
- 1:17:26Speaker 12: stick with it. I've actually gained a little weight lately.
- 1:17:29Speaker 12: I've started to wonder if she's doing all this just
- 1:17:33Speaker 12: for herself, or if there's someone else she wants to
- 1:17:35Speaker 12: look good for.
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: I hate that.
- 1:17:37Speaker 12: My brain goes there, but I can't shake the feeling.
- 1:17:40Speaker 12: Am I just being insecure? Or is it possible my
- 1:17:43Speaker 12: instincts are right?
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: Your fan, Yeah, that's what it is. No, one more time, Tommy.
- 1:17:51Speaker 2: It's your fan and the gym a quick complace.
- 1:17:53Speaker 7: Yeah, no, man, now, because you weak in the discipline department.
- 1:17:58Speaker 7: Now you won't dump it home her. No, I ain't
- 1:18:01Speaker 7: got nothing to do with her dog this year. She's
- 1:18:03Speaker 7: she looks better than she's ever looked, and you're gaining weight. Well,
- 1:18:08Speaker 7: fat boy, let's look at it this way.
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: We've told you about fat shaming on this show, sir,
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: and he.
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: Need to get shamed.
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: He need to get shamed doing a movie role like
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: bow Wow.
- 1:18:20Speaker 7: Fat shaming is for women. Here, men can't get fast shamed.
- 1:18:24Speaker 7: Get your big chubby down in that gym before somebody
- 1:18:29Speaker 7: she at the gym. Boy, I'm gonna tell you right now,
- 1:18:32Speaker 7: I hate that My mind goes there. She probably gonna
- 1:18:37Speaker 7: hate the fact that you're weak. Oh see, this is
- 1:18:41Speaker 7: the conversations men have.
- 1:18:44Speaker 12: All right, all right, we'll have more of the Steve
- 1:18:46Speaker 12: Harvey Morning Show coming up right after this.
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:18:55Speaker 12: With budgets tight, people are traveling and spending less this summer.
- 1:19:00Speaker 12: According to a bank Rate report, only forty six percent
- 1:19:03Speaker 12: of Americans plan to travel this summer, while ten percent
- 1:19:07Speaker 12: are opting for a staycation instead. Now, staycations sound good
- 1:19:12Speaker 12: in theory. You're going to take time off from work
- 1:19:14Speaker 12: and just hang around the house and relax, maybe do
- 1:19:17Speaker 12: some day trips close to home. But does this really work?
- 1:19:21Speaker 12: Is a staycation really a vacation or is it just
- 1:19:25Speaker 12: time to Is it just time off to do stuff
- 1:19:29Speaker 12: around the house that you never have time to do.
- 1:19:31Speaker 12: So what do you think staycation? Just stay around the house,
- 1:19:36Speaker 12: you know, do stuff around the house. That's not really
- 1:19:38Speaker 12: a vacation, is it.
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: That's not a vacation.
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: But people are.
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: That's well, that's who you voted for. You wanted to.
- 1:19:48Speaker 7: Yay trumps WI all my prices is high target pimping.
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: Y'all because you're saying we don't have enough money to
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: do the family vacation like we used to.
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: I mean, that's what they're saying. I'm not you know,
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: I mean, no, of course not you No. No, I'm
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: not saying I'm not feeling it. I'm just saying I'm
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: not Look how do you know all this? How do
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: you know all these people ain't going on Vaca?

- 1:21:54Speaker 12: Would you rather have hands that keep growing as you
- 1:21:57Speaker 12: got older or would you rather have feet that keep
- 1:21:59Speaker 12: growing as you get older?
- 1:22:01Speaker 7: Well, these two ain't got neither one, So just ass deep, boy,

- 1:24:10Speaker 2: All right, all right?
- 1:24:12Speaker 12: Would you rather give up profanity for two years or
- 1:24:14Speaker 12: would you rather give up ice cream for two years?
- 1:24:17Speaker 4: Oh?
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: I heard that ice cream and a heartbeat we got.
- 1:24:22Speaker 2: I'm a cush out of your time. I see that
- 1:24:23Speaker 2: ice cream.
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: That's today's round him. Would you rather thank you?
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: Yea, I'm gonna let that ice cream go so fast it's.
- 1:24:30Speaker 12: No way coming up next to our last break of
