- 2:02Speaker 1: I shall will a good morning everybody. You're listening to
- 2:06Speaker 1: the voice, Come on, come on, y'all dig me now.
- 2:10Speaker 1: One and only Steve Harvey got a radio show man.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Is God good to me? Unbelievable? Yeah? It is, and
- 2:18Speaker 1: and I can only attribute it to one thing. It's
- 2:21Speaker 1: just been a turnaround in my life. It's it's been
- 2:24Speaker 1: me finally making a decision to see what all God
- 2:28Speaker 1: has for me, but at the same time trying to
- 2:31Speaker 1: be more God wants me to be instead of more
- 2:34Speaker 1: of what I want to be. That's the trade off.
- 2:36Speaker 1: You know, you gotta do something now, you know you
- 2:38Speaker 1: know you want God's blessings. You gotta be willing to
- 2:41Speaker 1: do something on his behalf. No, I'm not saying I
- 2:44Speaker 1: got it right right now, because I'm just being real
- 2:48Speaker 1: with you, I don't. I don't have it all together
- 2:51Speaker 1: by any stretch of imagination of I'm trying to get
- 2:54Speaker 1: better in several areas. I'm praying about it, I'm working
- 2:58Speaker 1: on it, but you know it's and I've I've grown
- 3:02Speaker 1: to accept the process. But I'm improving in a lot
- 3:05Speaker 1: of areas from day to day. But I'll tell you what, man,
- 3:08Speaker 1: my success all is going on with me I can
- 3:11Speaker 1: only attribute to this turnaround. And the turnaround was simple.
- 3:15Speaker 1: I turned around and started looking at God. That was
- 3:20Speaker 1: a simple move, man. I just turned around and started
- 3:23Speaker 1: looking at him, and I was going, Okay, I get it. Now,
- 3:26Speaker 1: you created me. You're the creator. You have a purpose
- 3:30Speaker 1: for me. I understand that. Now. Now let me just
- 3:34Speaker 1: walk in that purpose and let me get to doing
- 3:37Speaker 1: that purpose. Now, my purpose and your purpose and their
- 3:41Speaker 1: purpose and anybody's perfect purpose could be different, and the
- 3:45Speaker 1: way you go about the purpose can be different. And
- 3:49Speaker 1: that's the part that I've really grown up to. I've
- 3:52Speaker 1: opened up my mind to understanding that everybody's different, nobody's
- 3:57Speaker 1: quite the same, and that is not my right or
- 4:00Speaker 1: position to judge, but to be of a forgiving spirit
- 4:04Speaker 1: and understand and forgive those as I ask God to
- 4:07Speaker 1: forgive me. See that's the key. That's the key, y'all.
- 4:11Speaker 1: So when you out here and you stuck on this unforgiveness,
- 4:15Speaker 1: understand in the large prayer as a segment that says,
- 4:20Speaker 1: forgive us our trust passes as we forgive those who
- 4:24Speaker 1: trust pass against us. There's another version says forgive us
- 4:27Speaker 1: our debts as we forgive our debt us. It's two
- 4:29Speaker 1: different versions, but either one it means the exact same thing.
- 4:35Speaker 1: It means simply this that you are asking God to
- 4:40Speaker 1: forgive yours like you forgive others. Forgive us our trust
- 4:45Speaker 1: passes as we forgive those who trust pass against us.
- 4:48Speaker 1: When I crossed the line with you, God handle me
- 4:52Speaker 1: the way I handle people when they cross the line
- 4:55Speaker 1: with me. You feel what I'm saying to you. See
- 4:58Speaker 1: you understand that. That's the breakdown on it. Best way
- 5:01Speaker 1: I can give it to you. Forgive us our trust
- 5:04Speaker 1: passes as we forgive those who trust pass against us.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Forgive me God for stepping over the line, like I
- 5:11Speaker 1: forgive those that step over the line on me. That's
- 5:14Speaker 1: the hard part. Man, that's the part man, I've really
- 5:17Speaker 1: been working on. I've been really trying to get that together.
- 5:20Speaker 1: And so I've learned forgiveness a lot better over the
- 5:24Speaker 1: past five years than I have before. And it's paid off.
- 5:28Speaker 1: I can't tell you how it was paid off, because
- 5:31Speaker 1: now God's mercy and grace is all over me because
- 5:36Speaker 1: I've learned to become more graceful. Now I ain't graceful
- 5:41Speaker 1: like him, I ain't merciful like him, but I've learned
- 5:45Speaker 1: to become more more graceful, more merciful, because man, I
- 5:50Speaker 1: can't live my life like that. I just got sick
- 5:52Speaker 1: of me. Man, you're mad at me now, I'm mad
- 5:54Speaker 1: at you. You hating on me. Now I'm gonna hate
- 5:57Speaker 1: on you. I ain't got time for that. Man, I've
- 6:00Speaker 1: got you. Look here, you got somewhere to go. But
- 6:03Speaker 1: hate take up time. It's time consuming, and hating trying
- 6:08Speaker 1: to seek revenge it's time consuming, take up way too
- 6:13Speaker 1: much of your time to seek revenge when vengeance ain't
- 6:15Speaker 1: really yours. That's another one. Vengeance is mine, say if
- 6:20Speaker 1: the Lord it ain't yours. So now when you go
- 6:23Speaker 1: to seek it to take it out, guess what you're doing.
- 6:26Speaker 1: You're doing something now. Man, Now you off into area
- 6:30Speaker 1: that you got no business being in, and instead of
- 6:32Speaker 1: steady climbing your ladder like you're supposed to, you didn't
- 6:35Speaker 1: take out time for vengeance to hate. I'm a hater.
- 6:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna be a blogger. I'm a blog about so
- 6:44Speaker 1: and so. When you're blogging about somebody, and most of
- 6:48Speaker 1: these people you don't even know when you're blogging about somebody,
- 6:51Speaker 1: what you're doing, what you're hating. It takes time to hate. Man.
- 6:57Speaker 1: I just decided, Man, I gotta take all my time
- 7:02Speaker 1: and instead of have doing time and being active, I
- 7:06Speaker 1: got to be proactive. See some people get that confused
- 7:10Speaker 1: being active and being proactive. Pro is positive. Pro means
- 7:16Speaker 1: to move forward. You know, if you put pro in
- 7:19Speaker 1: front of most words, it's a positive influence. You know,
- 7:22Speaker 1: does the pros and the cons. The pros is the
- 7:26Speaker 1: good side, the cons is what can go wrong the
- 7:29Speaker 1: bad side. You know, if you're active, that's one thing,
- 7:32Speaker 1: But if you're pro active, you're going forward in a
- 7:35Speaker 1: positive direction. When you become a pro that means you
- 7:40Speaker 1: the best of the best at whatever it is you
- 7:42Speaker 1: chosen to be. I'm a pro so somehow, and I
- 7:47Speaker 1: know English teacher grammatical God, the word pro a lot
- 7:52Speaker 1: of times when you put it in front of something
- 7:55Speaker 1: means positiveness. So now a lot of people think that
- 7:59Speaker 1: if you just active something all to happen. Well, I'm
- 8:02Speaker 1: doing something, and that's what happens. Man, We just find
- 8:05Speaker 1: ourselves doing a lot of busy work that really ain't
- 8:08Speaker 1: bout nothing. It ain't going the way. It ain't got
- 8:09Speaker 1: no direction or no purpose because we haven't tried to
- 8:13Speaker 1: find out the direction of a purpose. So you wake
- 8:15Speaker 1: up and you and your wheels are spinning. You a
- 8:18Speaker 1: hamster on a tread meal. You're running real fast, but
- 8:21Speaker 1: you're just going in the same spot. You understand that's
- 8:24Speaker 1: because you're just out here being active instead of proactive.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Why don't you get God in your life. Why don't
- 8:29Speaker 1: you turn and face your creative and find out how
- 8:32Speaker 1: to become more proactive so you can do things to
- 8:36Speaker 1: move yourself forward. How you can get your life off
- 8:39Speaker 1: the ground and get off the tread meal and really
- 8:42Speaker 1: get it rolling in the direction that it need to
- 8:44Speaker 1: be going. Man, I'm telling you God can make that
- 8:48Speaker 1: change for you if he see you making the change
- 8:51Speaker 1: for him. See the whole key man, the whole kids.
- 8:55Speaker 1: You got to be willing to do something. You got
- 8:58Speaker 1: to give God something to less bless me God. And
- 9:02Speaker 1: then you go sit on your couch and you ain't trying. Okay,
- 9:05Speaker 1: bless me God with what? What? What? What are you
- 9:09Speaker 1: working with? He can't have the people hire you if
- 9:12Speaker 1: you ain't put the app in. Come on, man, the
- 9:15Speaker 1: blessing comes when you make a proactive step, when you
- 9:19Speaker 1: try to do something on the positive side. Look, man,
- 9:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna quit messing around with all these people. I'm
- 9:25Speaker 1: gonna start going home. I'm gonna leave these women loan
- 9:27Speaker 1: out here. You got to say, all right, man, I
- 9:30Speaker 1: ain't going over that at night. I just ain't gonna
- 9:32Speaker 1: get Then God can work with you. God help me
- 9:36Speaker 1: stop seeing all these women. But you steady going over
- 9:39Speaker 1: there calling them setting up stuff. Can't nobody help you
- 9:44Speaker 1: because once you get over there, you already know. See,
- 9:47Speaker 1: you gotta get proactive. You gotta do something yourself. You
- 9:51Speaker 1: make one step, he'll make two. That that's the key man.
- 9:55Speaker 1: So come on, y'all you're listening show. Ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:03Speaker 1: man have your attention. Please, Uh, it's Monday morning. It's
- 10:06Speaker 1: the beginning of a new week, but it's the same
- 10:09Speaker 1: damn thing up in the hill. We fing to turn
- 10:11Speaker 1: up this volume, create this ignance and be botty Bounty

- 10:36Speaker 1: We didn't live that fun. That was fun. It's young
- 10:40Speaker 1: people listening to this show going, uh, we live, and
- 10:46Speaker 1: they probably ain't even saying that no more. They say
- 10:50Speaker 1: still saying we live. I'm scared to use modern day slang.
- 10:56Speaker 1: I'm still going I'm still doing you know, what's happening
- 11:00Speaker 1: for the whole playoff? You know that way? I know,
- 11:03Speaker 1: I know it's out of style and all my talk
- 11:06Speaker 1: is out of style. We let calla for real. What's happening?
- 11:12Speaker 1: We about that life? What's going on? Junior? You got one?
- 11:18Speaker 1: I'm just gonna say more than one. Tell me you
- 11:22Speaker 1: got one? Lit? Light lit? I'm living my bath life. Man. Yeah,
- 11:28Speaker 1: now dude, this one still work turned up. Yeah, that
- 11:31Speaker 1: was still work on. What it is is what it is? Good?
- 11:40Speaker 1: Good everybody? Cool man, my man, slapping five. You did that,
- 11:54Speaker 1: you may as well throw it right on in their stick.
- 11:56Speaker 1: I still say, right on. I still you'll say, hey, man.
- 12:00Speaker 1: When I talk to my older brother, it's it's it's
- 12:03Speaker 1: like talking to Marvin Gay. Seriously, man, I'm talking to them, Hey,
- 12:10Speaker 1: what's up? Drunk's handed with youth? Man? Give me some
- 12:14Speaker 1: of that skin? Man, your skin that's five on the
- 12:18Speaker 1: black hand, keeping like that. It's all right, man, right on?
- 12:22Speaker 1: What's been going on with your player? You still doing it?
- 12:25Speaker 1: Ain't you? You know, people ain't easy, but somebody ain't
- 12:28Speaker 1: gonta doing it? Might be to me, Hey, dog, yah,
- 12:34Speaker 1: what's up? What's up? Timmy? One of my little girls,
- 12:37Speaker 1: one of the friends of the I say, mister, Timmy,
- 12:39Speaker 1: you lit, I said, baby, I said, baby, I don't.
- 12:41Speaker 1: I don't. I don't smoke. I don't know what you're
- 12:43Speaker 1: talking about. She said, what that could be a drunk
- 12:50Speaker 1: reference either way. I wasn't there. I don't know. I
- 12:54Speaker 1: don't know what Lit meant. Yeah, especially in front of
- 12:57Speaker 1: your kids, know what, you gotta stay fresh and him, Tommy,
- 13:01Speaker 1: we got younger kids too, you know. Hey, hey, hey,
- 13:04Speaker 1: let me tell you what I did. One day in Atlanta.
- 13:07Speaker 1: I came out my office with my shirt open, and
- 13:10Speaker 1: my kids friends was in the house. When you say, Dad,
- 13:13Speaker 1: your shirt is open, I say, I live here. Tell
- 13:17Speaker 1: all your little flat stomach ass from turn around and
- 13:20Speaker 1: quit looking over here. But it's so funny, Steve, You're
- 13:23Speaker 1: right because we're at an age now where everything we
- 13:26Speaker 1: do embarrasses our kids. There's nothing that we can do
- 13:30Speaker 1: that where our kids think we're cool. Nothing. All right, listen,
- 13:34Speaker 1: coming up in thirty two, after the hour, we'll have
- 13:36Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Shop. Right after this.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Let we let turn up. You're listening to this Day
- 13:45Speaker 1: Morning Show. Listen. Taking a week or even a few
- 13:49Speaker 1: days out of the office for a vacation can certainly
- 13:52Speaker 1: put anyone in a good mood, right. We all love
- 13:54Speaker 1: to take our vacation time. But it turns out, yeah,
- 13:57Speaker 1: but it turns out that all those positive facts of
- 14:00Speaker 1: a few days without work, they don't actually last long. Okay.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Unfortunately for quite a few people, those positive effects are fleeting.
- 14:09Speaker 1: In fact, the poll finds that twenty four percent of
- 14:12Speaker 1: workers say the positive effects disappear as soon as they
- 14:16Speaker 1: return to work, right exactly, while forty percent say they
- 14:23Speaker 1: only last a few days. Now. Of course, not everyone
- 14:27Speaker 1: returns from vacation, relax and rejuvenated, because people tend to
- 14:30Speaker 1: work on vacation more than they planned. So Steve, I
- 14:34Speaker 1: got to ask you. Would you say you return to
- 14:37Speaker 1: work after vacation with a better attitude? Are you more
- 14:40Speaker 1: motivated and productive? Do you have a hard time? Oh?
- 14:44Speaker 1: You are okay because you take a long vacation. Yeah,
- 14:48Speaker 1: you're ready to come back, and he sounds rested when
- 14:50Speaker 1: he can. I don't, Well, you're not ready to come
- 14:54Speaker 1: back to vacation with pay permanently? Yeah, I would do
- 15:00Speaker 1: it in a heart. Oh well yeah I wouldn't. Yeah,
- 15:04Speaker 1: but do you have a hard time relaxing, you know,
- 15:06Speaker 1: coming down when you first get on vacation, I know
- 15:08Speaker 1: I do. It takes me a minute. Do you miss us? No? Never, Yeah,
- 15:14Speaker 1: it takes me four days to disconnect, Yeah, to get
- 15:18Speaker 1: into to really get it. It used to take me
- 15:20Speaker 1: a week, but now I've gotten better. It's only gonna
- 15:23Speaker 1: take me two days this year because I've already started
- 15:27Speaker 1: leaving him. Yeah, you're gone. You're not even here right now?
- 15:32Speaker 1: You go right, I've already just left here. Yeah, you're
- 15:35Speaker 1: on vacation, so you'll be relaxing no time. As soon
- 15:40Speaker 1: as I get there. Where are you going this year?
- 15:42Speaker 1: Same place I go every year? Show? Okay, gonna go
- 15:46Speaker 1: see some of the things. We have friends in places
- 15:48Speaker 1: now that live there, and we come oh really okay, okay,
- 15:55Speaker 1: rich friends always rich friends. Yeah, that's they flocked together.
- 15:59Speaker 1: They go yeah, rich, yeah, yeah, yeah, you know my
- 16:02Speaker 1: friends at the mall and the food court. I love
- 16:09Speaker 1: when Jay had a Rose Royce, but he didn't have
- 16:13Speaker 1: a Rose roys life side. He was if you see
- 16:18Speaker 1: Rose roy parked in front of the stove and not
- 16:21Speaker 1: at the gas Where were you going? Jay? Seven and
- 16:27Speaker 1: eleven chicken? And I'm a dollar store? Dollar store? Okay.
- 16:44Speaker 1: The other day, huh. My wife and I were going
- 16:46Speaker 1: on our anniversary trip. So when we got through taping
- 16:52Speaker 1: Family Feud Friday night, the anniversary was Sunday, so I
- 16:56Speaker 1: took away for a couple of days. Cliff picks us up,
- 17:00Speaker 1: our driver, picks go to the house, gets Marjorie comes
- 17:04Speaker 1: to the set and picked me up. When I get through,
- 17:06Speaker 1: take the makeup off, I get in the car. We're
- 17:10Speaker 1: in the wrong car. We decided to celebrate starts celebrating
- 17:15Speaker 1: our anniversary. We're gonna stop at fat Burger. Oh, Okay,
- 17:22Speaker 1: we pull up in the parking lot. There's no drive through.
- 17:26Speaker 1: We pull up in the parking lot and we're trying
- 17:28Speaker 1: to park. The eyes that was on us. They can't
- 17:35Speaker 1: see him a car, but people are gonna People in
- 17:38Speaker 1: the subway was looking out. Who the hell trying to
- 17:41Speaker 1: back in this spot? We pull up, Cliff get out
- 17:47Speaker 1: to go inside to get the fat burger. He called
- 17:49Speaker 1: a head so they can start order. We're sitting there,
- 17:53Speaker 1: people just walking by, just looking at the car. We wrong,
- 17:59Speaker 1: like two lay sitting up in here. Marjorie said, Steve,
- 18:03Speaker 1: I don't think this was a good idea. I said,
- 18:05Speaker 1: we're here now when you want me to tell Cliff
- 18:07Speaker 1: forget it, let's go, She said, Now I want the
- 18:09Speaker 1: fat burger because she hadn't never handed fat burger before.
- 18:15Speaker 1: It was her first fat burger. Oh wow, So we
- 18:19Speaker 1: in a Rose Royce in fat Burger in the parking
- 18:23Speaker 1: lot of the fat Burger with a laundry matt next
- 18:26Speaker 1: dough or subway right now? M though, wasn't it? That
- 18:35Speaker 1: burger was good? Though? Wasn't Boy? Did Marjorie like it?
- 18:39Speaker 1: She said, Steve, I never she stopped driven by it,
- 18:42Speaker 1: but it sounded like it wasn't good. It was called
- 18:45Speaker 1: fat burger, fat burger good. Yeah, but that oh yeah,
- 18:56Speaker 1: I agree with that especially now. Yeah, I agree with
- 18:59Speaker 1: that especially now whatever. Well, I don't know, since we've
- 19:04Speaker 1: been gone and been back and In and Out Burger's
- 19:06Speaker 1: tastes different to me now. I knew In and Out
- 19:08Speaker 1: Burger wasn't good when I saw all skeinny people coming out,
- 19:14Speaker 1: But I don't care where you go. It's always a
- 19:16Speaker 1: line around the block to In and Out Burger. But
- 19:19Speaker 1: they're a little different to me now than they were.
- 19:22Speaker 1: I don't like guys. Oh, I like five guys. I
- 19:27Speaker 1: like five guys. Yeah. Yeah, they make a burger and
- 19:30Speaker 1: I like their fries. I like five guys, five guys.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Yeah everywhere I ain't seen it. Oh yeah, they're they
- 19:39Speaker 1: have Yeah yeah, maybe you should take the rolls out
- 19:44Speaker 1: again and you know, try to find it. Where do
- 19:47Speaker 1: you go? You go see a five guys? Where do
- 19:52Speaker 1: you turn and see a five guy? All right, we'll
- 20:00Speaker 1: be back with Marvin the Steave Harvey Morning Show right
- 20:03Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to morning show. Researchers have discovered
- 20:08Speaker 1: that Americans are having less sex than they were twenty
- 20:12Speaker 1: years ago. Oh I know I am twenty years ago. Yeah, Jack,
- 20:28Speaker 1: you were bringing it stead repeated. I'm talking about Jack
- 20:38Speaker 1: j R. S Everything, whel boy, you should have seen it.
- 20:48Speaker 1: You should have seen well. To be exact, they say
- 20:54Speaker 1: about nine fewer times per year than they were in
- 20:57Speaker 1: the nineteen nineties. Yeah, that's what they're thing twenty years ago,
- 21:01Speaker 1: nine fewer times a week per year, but you were
- 21:07Speaker 1: per week boy. Oh man, I'm talking about performances that
- 21:17Speaker 1: that had no meaning. No, what is it a performance
- 21:21Speaker 1: to put on a show? What would you say? Wasn't
- 21:25Speaker 1: in love? Which before you you're just you're not on stage.
- 21:32Speaker 1: I will stage rabbit, gentleman, rabbits sunshine come bouncing out
- 21:45Speaker 1: the bath room with a with a white tail rabbit, Yeah,
- 21:53Speaker 1: coming through the smoke lights, lights ago and a cottontail
- 21:59Speaker 1: On't I didn't kick the energy as of funny, I
- 22:05Speaker 1: have to wait. I was. I had a drum at love,
- 22:12Speaker 1: drum been and muscular, hard ass looking rapid. They got frog,
- 22:24Speaker 1: nothing but veins, muscle and skins, six pack ass, muscles,
- 22:31Speaker 1: HARDI ham strange, everything but veins, skin man, just some massive.
- 22:40Speaker 1: I ain't never had no real guns. But you just
- 22:44Speaker 1: saw vain. Okay, man, I'd like to do yours. Nobody fat.
- 22:50Speaker 1: You had to bring him up. They had to bring
- 22:53Speaker 1: them out. Ladies and gentlemen coming to the room right now.
- 22:59Speaker 1: The only rabbit that makes bugs, but it's not that funny.

- 38:26Speaker 1: about something besides food, the conversation inevitably goes back to
- 38:31Speaker 1: him being a great chef. The email goes on to say,
- 38:35Speaker 1: I have a friend working for candidate running for office,
- 38:38Speaker 1: and every conversation in which she protects inevitably turns into politics. So, Steve,

- 39:06Speaker 1: meet a shelf, you're gonna have questions because everybody loves
- 39:10Speaker 1: inside information. A guy in politics, you want to get

- 50:00Speaker 1: You are shot never You know your roommate does not

- 50:45Speaker 1: All right, here it is. It's that time, Shirley Strawberry
- 50:49Speaker 1: with our Strawberry let subject. Four years later, I'm still
- 50:55Speaker 1: his girlfriend. Yeah, Junior's on one today. You're Stephen, Shirley,
- 51:01Speaker 1: I'm stuck. I've read your book, Steve, and I've been
- 51:05Speaker 1: with my boyfriend for four years. In the four years,
- 51:09Speaker 1: we've bought a home and had lots of beautiful vacations together.
- 51:13Speaker 1: We're under thirty years old, and we have a solid relationship.
- 51:17Speaker 1: He provides, protects and professes his love for me. So
- 51:21Speaker 1: why after four years, I still don't have an engagement ring.
- 51:26Speaker 1: I haven't given him my all yet because there are
- 51:28Speaker 1: certain benefits that only a wife can give to her husband.
- 51:33Speaker 1: He's not my husband. I never feel bad for reminding
- 51:36Speaker 1: him when he complains about me holding back. When I
- 51:39Speaker 1: drop hints about us moving to the next step in
- 51:41Speaker 1: our relationship, he says that I'm going to have to
- 51:44Speaker 1: be patient, and pressuring him is not good. I was
- 51:48Speaker 1: furious this summer when he went out and bought a
- 51:50Speaker 1: jet ski for over two thousand dollars. That was money
- 51:53Speaker 1: he could have used on my diamond ring. I get
- 51:56Speaker 1: with my girlfriends and they make me feel even worse
- 51:59Speaker 1: and put even more pressure on me for not having
- 52:02Speaker 1: a ring yet. Our wedding colors are picked out, we
- 52:05Speaker 1: have a church and reception place in mind, we have
- 52:08Speaker 1: talked about who we'd want in our bridal power party,
- 52:11Speaker 1: and we picked out a beautiful honeymoon location. Am I
- 52:15Speaker 1: overthinking this and stressing myself for no reason? Should I
- 52:18Speaker 1: just give it time and or leave him now and
- 52:23Speaker 1: stop putting my life on hold? He should know by
- 52:25Speaker 1: now what he wants. Please help me? Well, I mean
- 52:29Speaker 1: apparently he doesn't know right now, or he's not ready
- 52:32Speaker 1: right now, or if he was ready right now, he
- 52:34Speaker 1: would have done it. I mean, you guys live together.
- 52:36Speaker 1: You've made purchases together, major purchases like a house. That's
- 52:40Speaker 1: what married people do. You guys go on vacation together.
- 52:44Speaker 1: You all may as well be married. I mean, you
- 52:46Speaker 1: do all the things that married people do without the benefits,
- 52:52Speaker 1: meaning the ring and the mrs and all of that
- 52:54Speaker 1: that you desperately want. What I'm saying is, why are
- 52:58Speaker 1: you doing all this and you're not his wife? Why?
- 53:00Speaker 1: I mean, where is his incentive to marry you right now?
- 53:04Speaker 1: He's still young. You guys are both still under thirty
- 53:06Speaker 1: years old. You're saying, you say you have a solid relationship,
- 53:09Speaker 1: but you're not getting what you want. You say, he provides,
- 53:12Speaker 1: he professes and protects, like Steve says in the book.
- 53:15Speaker 1: But you guys have bought a home together. So you're
- 53:18Speaker 1: feeling like the next step is marriage. You're already like
- 53:22Speaker 1: a wife to him. Um, you're gonna have to pull
- 53:25Speaker 1: up a little bit um or or maybe in his case,
- 53:29Speaker 1: put out a little bit. I don't know. You're saying
- 53:31Speaker 1: you're holding back. You didn't, you weren't specific. But by
- 53:34Speaker 1: holding back, do you mean you're not having sex with him?
- 53:36Speaker 1: But you guys have bought a house together. Ain't nobody
- 53:39Speaker 1: bought this? This is not making sense to me. I
- 53:43Speaker 1: was just gonna say that, Steve, this is not making
- 53:45Speaker 1: sense to me. Uh, he's definitely not ready. You guys
- 53:50Speaker 1: are young, under thirty. He still has some more fun
- 53:54Speaker 1: to have with his over two thousand dollars jet Ski.
- 53:58Speaker 1: You know he wants to play on that some or
- 54:02Speaker 1: you didn't say it, but the holding back part that
- 54:04Speaker 1: that is a big puzzle in here. You've left a
- 54:07Speaker 1: lot out. So if you're ready now, and he's not.
- 54:11Speaker 1: You guys, you are stuck because you bought a major
- 54:14Speaker 1: purchase with him, so you know, to get him to
- 54:16Speaker 1: marry you, it is going to be a struggle now.
- 54:20Speaker 1: I mean, you know, take your equity out and move on.
- 54:23Speaker 1: You know, that's one option that you have. But I
- 54:26Speaker 1: don't think you want to do that. I think you
- 54:28Speaker 1: want what you want, but the timing is just not right. Steve.
- 54:34Speaker 1: If you've been with a man for four years and
- 54:36Speaker 1: you live with him and you alten bought a house,
- 54:39Speaker 1: there's a thing called common law marriage, so you're entitled
- 54:44Speaker 1: to everything that a wife is entitled to at this point,
- 54:48Speaker 1: now you're asking this letter. In four years, we bought
- 54:53Speaker 1: a home, had lots of beautiful vacations together, we're under
- 54:56Speaker 1: thirty years old, got a slim related. He provides, protects
- 55:00Speaker 1: and professes his love with me. So why after four
- 55:03Speaker 1: years do I still not have an an engagement ring.
- 55:06Speaker 1: You're missing? He hasn't professed it fully. He protects for you,
- 55:11Speaker 1: he provides for you. But the professing part is you
- 55:15Speaker 1: thought in the book I said he that That means
- 55:20Speaker 1: that a man says he loves you. No, I explain
- 55:24Speaker 1: to you. How we lay claim to women, How we
- 55:28Speaker 1: claim you all as hours, not in terms of property.
- 55:32Speaker 1: But I'm just saying how we make you mind. We
- 55:35Speaker 1: make you my hours with titles. Now you don't have
- 55:41Speaker 1: the title you want. Now you want to know, if
- 55:43Speaker 1: you want to know, if you're overthinking this. No, you're
- 55:45Speaker 1: overthinking this. But you all, ladies, you keep making the
- 55:49Speaker 1: same mistake over and over and over. See, y'all keep
- 55:57Speaker 1: doing married duties without having the man purchased them all
- 56:07Speaker 1: pay for them. You're doing all the wifely duties, but
- 56:12Speaker 1: he ain't got to do nothing to get them. All
- 56:15Speaker 1: he got to do is move in with you, sleep
- 56:18Speaker 1: with you. It's gotta be more to that. See, here's
- 56:21Speaker 1: why you all keep stuck. Why after four years don't
- 56:24Speaker 1: I have engagement ring. I haven't given him my all
- 56:27Speaker 1: yet because they have certain benefits that only a wife
- 56:30Speaker 1: can give to a husband. He's not my husband. I
- 56:33Speaker 1: don't even know why you put that in there. You
- 56:35Speaker 1: all in y'all sleeping together. All right, When we come back,
- 56:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you what's wrong. Then I have the answer,
- 56:44Speaker 1: and we'll be back at twenty three after you're listening show,
- 56:50Speaker 1: all right, let's recap today's strawberry letter, Steve. Subject, four
- 56:54Speaker 1: years later, I'm still his girlfriend. Let's get part two
- 56:57Speaker 1: of your response. All right, four years later, this girl
- 57:00Speaker 1: man because she's still a dude's boyfriend. They've been together
- 57:02Speaker 1: four years. They don't bought a house together. Excuse me,
- 57:05Speaker 1: girlfriend bought a house together. Beautiful vacations day under thirty,
- 57:10Speaker 1: She says, he provides protecting, professes his love for me.
- 57:14Speaker 1: When a man professes his love with you is not
- 57:16Speaker 1: just I love you. It comes with titles. It's like promotions.
- 57:21Speaker 1: So why after four years don't I still have an
- 57:23Speaker 1: engagement ring? Because you haven't required one yet. You have
- 57:27Speaker 1: not required an engagement for these actions to occur. Now,
- 57:33Speaker 1: see the mistake Like I told you that y'all keep doing,
- 57:36Speaker 1: is y'all keep doing all these married duties without him
- 57:40Speaker 1: having to purchase the married duties. Now, whatever it is
- 57:44Speaker 1: you're talking about you holding back in this letter, it
- 57:47Speaker 1: obviously it ain't enough to make him marry you. So
- 57:51Speaker 1: whatever you're holding back, he good. I just thought i'd
- 57:55Speaker 1: bring that up. You're already given plenty, So why don't
- 58:00Speaker 1: I have an engagement ring yet? You're ready? Because he
- 58:05Speaker 1: has everything he wants all ready. He don't need to
- 58:10Speaker 1: give you a ring. Can we be okay with that?
- 58:15Speaker 1: I mean, this is an open and shut case to me. Now,
- 58:18Speaker 1: your problem is when I drop hints about moving to
- 58:22Speaker 1: the next step in our relationship, he says that I'm
- 58:24Speaker 1: gonna have to be patient and pressuring him is not good.
- 58:28Speaker 1: It's not good for him, So don't pressure him. See, ladies,
- 58:34Speaker 1: you can get a lot more what you want by
- 58:36Speaker 1: just pressuring yourself. You don't have to pressure man. If
- 58:40Speaker 1: a man ain't good with it, just say, hey, look,
- 58:44Speaker 1: let me step to the side until you decide what
- 58:47Speaker 1: you really want to do. Because I'm not playing house
- 58:50Speaker 1: with you anymore. So now I ain't pressuring you. You
- 58:54Speaker 1: can you can stay here in this house I'm gonna need.
- 58:57Speaker 1: I'm not paying them more money on this thing I'm
- 59:01Speaker 1: and I won't and I want to sell it because
- 59:03Speaker 1: I want my half back out. And you're not sleeping
- 59:07Speaker 1: with me no more in that bed right there, and
- 59:09Speaker 1: I'm not cooking no more food. It ain't no problem.
- 59:12Speaker 1: I'm not pressuring you. You don't have to ask me
- 59:15Speaker 1: to marry you. But I'm gonna stop sitting up in
- 59:18Speaker 1: here acting like we're married, and then you never give
- 59:20Speaker 1: me what I want. I'm going to my mama's house.
- 59:24Speaker 1: Call me when you want to go to the next
- 59:25Speaker 1: level now that most women are not gonna do because
- 59:29Speaker 1: they're afraid of losing them. Man, but you ain't. You
- 59:32Speaker 1: don't have them one. You won't right now. And it's
- 59:34Speaker 1: so terrible because they have this major purchase together. They
- 59:38Speaker 1: have a house together. Yeah right, but you can get
- 59:41Speaker 1: out of that. No, that's yours. I'm telling you the
- 59:44Speaker 1: woman gonna win and that you ain't cheated on the dude.
- 59:46Speaker 1: Nothing like that. Oh he gonna lose. He gotta get
- 59:48Speaker 1: the house up. Now that's your house and he'll be
- 59:51Speaker 1: paying for Oh my god. Preachers. Yeah you woke up, jay, Yeah, yeah,
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: he hit out. He preached one hundred, one hundred and one.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: What do you know about this, Jake. I've lost some houses.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: She stopped a small community with the houses I've locked.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: She mad because this food and went out bought a
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: jet ski for over two thousand dollars, and she talked
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: about that money he could have used on my diamond ring.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: I get with my girlfriends. They make me feel even worse,
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: putting more pressure on me for not having a ring.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: Our wedding colors are picked out. He hadn't done at all.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: He let you pick out the wedding colors. He't let
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: you talk about the church reception place in mind. You
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: don't talked about brider party. You didn't picked out a
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: honeymoon location. Are you talking about this all you want?
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: Quit pressure me? You want to planet planet where you
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: want to go? We're going you her girlfriend? Pick out
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: your play? So, baby, what you're gonna do about flowers?
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: Though they're gonna have nice? Just a reenactment your role?
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: It would be doing are we reenacting this? You want
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: to get married? Hey? Baby? Aw? You doing? What's going on?
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: I got got some wedding books. I need you to
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: look at you like, yeah, what about this color out here?
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: I love? Future? Like yeah, yeah, yeah, that's cool. Future cool. Yeah?
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: And how about how about we're gonna work on our
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: dance because you know my daddy at the reception, me
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: and my daddy gonna do a little dance and then
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: you and I do a first dance, So you want
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: to work on that later on the night to dance?
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: I could you know how old are you? You know
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: your daddy might not that. What now that was about
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: to dance lessons? What's happening? Oh you're daddy, damn yeah,
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: you gotta shaping that up because if you don't, I
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: can call it wedding off. Now what don't make me?

- 1:04:30Speaker 1: pro people I got to be nice to a head
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: on Steven. We treat him like he ain't worth nothing.
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: This man, he could change our generation. We treat him regularly,
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: treat him like I don't want to treat him record,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: I love you Now if you see me him, I'll
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: tell you what. He worked more than a hundred me.
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: Did you know that? Did you know he was the
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: highest paid what I wanted saying that I was winning
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: when he was worked one hundred dollars to get that
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: him through it. I knew him when he wasn't worth nothing.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: But but but now he didn't pass everybody else. You're
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: not tripping on you. You don't want to. So I
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: didn't know he was just rich? Ye oh my god,
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: do you need to shoe because you know you're gonna
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: be on TV. We know you're not. You're not. We're
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: not doing this for him. We're not listen and make
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: it work. Forget that. Regular folks got thirty dollars hour
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: that reglar folk? All right? That this okay, y'all quit this.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: Regular folk, seventeen regular people. I may I take yourr
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: that re people. Okay, two hundred million, Yeah, okay, it's
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: a little different. But let me tell you something. People
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: with two hundred men, you still have to tell you,
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: tell to see something that you do this regular time.

- 1:06:12Speaker 1: say it, you can say it. What How did I
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: get calls up into this? All right, we gotta go.

- 1:06:33Speaker 1: Happy Monday everyone? Whow and what a great Monday. Hopefully
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: it will be and it can be if we wanted
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: to be, right, Steve, Uh, it's all on what you expect.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: When you control your attitude, you control your altitude. Since
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: we're talking about being positive this morning, why don't you
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: give some advice to Jay Anthony Brown bitter man about
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: how turning that negative too into positive? Yeah, thirty thirty
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: year friend, thirty five year friend. If I would Jay
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: Anthony Brown, go ahead, I would realize that where I
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: am today, I've exactly thought myself to that exact position,
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: that he's in a good position. Yeah, he just doesn't
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: look at how far he's come from where he started.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: And if he wouldn't do that, well I know why
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: he bit m because you know he don't take rejection. Well,
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: Ce Jade's like this, you know, if he in a relationship,
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: and he loves the honeymoon phase, the beginning of the relationship,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: but as soon as it turned into what did you say,
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: that's the beginning of the are you saying? They can't
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: even ask a question? Girl? He said, okay, here, let
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: me give you an example. Ask me some questions, Sherlett,
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: I'm okay, Well, you said you wanted to have dinner tonight.
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: What time time? Uh? Are you gonna pick me up?
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: So damn you just gonna bother me a by what time? Now?
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: I just need to know. Yeah, I just need to
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: know so I'll know when to be ready. I'll be
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: there when I get there. Okay, Well, baby, well should
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: I wear? Going? Are we going to a fancy restaurant?
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: Or is it going to be casual? I just said,
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: why we always got to go somewhere fancy? You know,
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: why can't we just go somewhere like regular peak? So
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: we're just gonna spend all the money eating? What should
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: I wear? What? What do you think I should? Close? To? Hell? You? Well,
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: I mean, okay, so are we driving or are we
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: going to take a car? Because sometimes we go in
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: a car? Well, I know that, but sometimes you know,
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: we may have a couple of cocktails or something. And oh,
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: so now you're gonna drink a lot too. I'm just
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: saying I don't want you to drive if you've been drinking,
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: that's all I drive, But we I don't drive at
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: got all this stuff legalize that you still want to drink?
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: So is that? Is that what you're gonna wear? Oh?
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: You don't like what I got on. I just asked
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: if you were gonna wear that. If you're wearing a suit,
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: then maybe I'll put on a contail dress. You know?
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: So what this ain't gonna work? Can we at least
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: get to dinner? I don't see how this could possibly
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: that because I was gonna say, if we went to dinner,
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: I was gonna let you order for me. You pick it.
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: Now you want me to order your food? So you
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: be mad? And what I don't know? Don'tbody know what
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: you want to eat? Okay, Well, you don't even know
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: where we go? How I will pick? Well, that's why
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: I asked, Well, okay, well I gotta ask you this.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: I have to ask you this now. Will you be upset?
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: Is it? Okay? If I order a dessert? Wow? So
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: you're gonna just sit up there you don't care how
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: you gonna look in ten years. Huh, judge, So we
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: just got the dessert. Honey, I was being considerate because
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: I know you have diabetes, but you're gonna order dessert
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: while I'm sitting over here just looking, which is why.
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: That's why I got diabetes causing you. Well, if if
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: we go to the restaurant out by the by the
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: water is it okay? What are we driving all way
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: down there by the waterfall? Well? I thought it would
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: be nice, you know, romantic walk after dinner maybe, you know,
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: romantic walking out cold and be on that beach at night. Damn,
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: how you want to eat? Get the flu? Now? You
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: see you take off work. Now I got to come
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: by and bring super you know I got. All right,

- 1:12:05Speaker 1: you know you're not making this up. No, you know

- 1:12:44Speaker 1: this this base they make so they can go and
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: keep the meat moist. Yeah, he just went out there
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: with a whole Italian dress and it just sprayed it.

- 1:17:01Speaker 1: we are last break of the day on this Monday.
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: It's been a good day. We've had some fun today.
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: Thank you, and now it's time for you to take
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: us home, get back to work. With some closing remarks.
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: You know something, as I get older and I go
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: through things in my life, one of the things I've
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: become really comfortable with is sharing my own personal experiences
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: with people and hope that they can learn from some
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: of the experiences I've had, some of the mistakes I've made,
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: and so, you know, one of the things I wanted
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: to help people with out there, because everybody has their
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: share of haters out there, and so I just want
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: to talk to you for just a second about the
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: people that you surround yourself with. It's important that you
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: take constant inventory in your life to make sure that
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: you don't have dead weight attached to you. It's important
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: that you don't have people or who are in a
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: relationship with you that's just one sided. It's important that
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: you know that everybody in your life is important to
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: you and would be there for you in the moment
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: of the rest. Now, if these people don't fit that bill,
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: then I'm sorry. You got to do something else. But
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: you got to watch people. You got to constantly monitor
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: people because people change, especially as you elevate in life.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: As you elevate in life, people have a different perception
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: of you. Seeing what I found in getting more and
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: more and more successful, it is not that you change
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: as you becomes more and more successful. It's that people's
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: perception of you changes. So now it becomes all Now
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: they think they all are. Now they think they is
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: because of that, when an actuality, you can very well
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: be the same paid person, you just at a different level.
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: But it's amazing, man, when you get to this other level.
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: In order for people to throw rocks at you. It
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: ain't level no more. They got to throw their rocks
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: up at you. And it kind of disheartens you from
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: time to time as you just minding your business and
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: going through your life and doing what you do to
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: get people throwing rocks up at you. And now a
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: lot of people out there that can relate to what
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: I'm saying. It's not that you think you better than somebody,
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: but it's just that you've gotten yourself in another level.
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: You've just leveled up. And when you leveled up, you
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: can't be concerned with the people that ain't up there
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: with you, because a lot of people ain't up there
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: with you because they wouldn't even fit up there with you,
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: know how. The majority of people ain't up there with you,
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: because if God wanted them to be up there, he
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: to put them up there, but he didn't. He put
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: you up there. And it's okay, that's just what it is.
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: You up there. It's not for everybody, this place that
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: you've reached. I'm just sorry, man, It's just not for everybody.
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: And you gotta understand that and don't get disheardened. Man,
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: When when when when you get up at the top
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: and it starts to feel lonely. I was talking with
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: somebody the other day. You know, the problem with being
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: at the top is like being on the pyramid. It's
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: a sharp point at the top of that pyramid. Ain't
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: a lot of friends up there, ain't a lot of
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: company up there because guess what, it just ain't a
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: lot of room up there most people. And then now
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: when you do have friends, they write up under that pyramid.
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: They there and you know what they do. They to
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: support system for you. And you find that in people
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: all the time. But man, if you're not careful, if
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: you're not really really careful, and you're not monitoring people
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: along the way, it's not you. The changes, they change,
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: their perception of you changes. So once their perception of
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: you changes, they attitude towards you changes. I can't count
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: the people, man, I can't count the people in my life,
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: man who for one reason or another felt like it
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: should have been them, or for one reason another they
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: just got jealousy you because of what you had. I
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: was talking to Jamie Fox at this party the other night,
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: and Jamie Fox I showed him something that he had
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: posted on Instagram. He said, Wow, man, I'm glad that
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: meant something to you. And what he posted was some
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: people only hate you because of the way other people
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: love you. Y'all remember that some people only hate you
