- 2:05Speaker 1: come on DIGNI one and only. Steve Harvey got a
- 2:08Speaker 1: radio show one more time, partner, Steve Harvey got a
- 2:12Speaker 1: radio show. Man. How amazing is that? How good has
- 2:20Speaker 1: God been to me? How good has He been to you?
- 2:25Speaker 1: Just check yourself sometimes, just sit up, Just let's run
- 2:29Speaker 1: a survey. Just look at your life where it's at.
- 2:32Speaker 1: It might not be where you wanted to be, but
- 2:34Speaker 1: that's probably some decisions you made. But really, though, in
- 2:37Speaker 1: spite of all the crazy mistakes out of made, I mean, man,
- 2:43Speaker 1: I I look back at some of the decisions I
- 2:46Speaker 1: didn't came up with and and and man, it's it's
- 2:48Speaker 1: it's just amazing he let me live. I mean it's
- 2:52Speaker 1: it's and and and to exist the way I exist,
- 2:55Speaker 1: that's nothing but grace, mercy, favor all that is. That's
- 2:59Speaker 1: what my mom a praying for me when I wasn't
- 3:01Speaker 1: praying for myself. That had to be it, because, man,
- 3:04Speaker 1: I can truly tell you I have made enough mistakes man,
- 3:09Speaker 1: stuff you would never even know about, and recovered from
- 3:12Speaker 1: them all you can too, and I don't care what
- 3:18Speaker 1: you've done. Marvin Sapp has a song out that says
- 3:21Speaker 1: he saw the best in me when everyone else around
- 3:25Speaker 1: me could only see the worst in me. You know
- 3:29Speaker 1: that that's an important song man, especially you know. I
- 3:33Speaker 1: want to talk to men today because man, being a
- 3:40Speaker 1: man is so so difficult. Please, no, it has been
- 3:46Speaker 1: my quest ever since I was a little boy. My
- 3:48Speaker 1: father had one ambition, son, I don't care what you do,
- 3:54Speaker 1: but when I get through raising you, you will be
- 3:57Speaker 1: a man. That's all I want you to be. And
- 3:59Speaker 1: he never cared what I did for a living, and
- 4:01Speaker 1: it never made a difference to him. You're going to
- 4:04Speaker 1: be a man. Manhood is difficult. Now, ladies, just listening
- 4:07Speaker 1: to this. I'm not saying womanhood ain't. I don't know
- 4:11Speaker 1: what it takes to be a woman, so you know,
- 4:13Speaker 1: I'm I'm but I do know exactly what it takes
- 4:16Speaker 1: to be a man. So you know, sometimes when you
- 4:19Speaker 1: talk to people on the radio, you have to preface
- 4:22Speaker 1: things because people are just go he trying to make
- 4:24Speaker 1: it look like womanhood ain't. No, That's not what I'm doing.
- 4:27Speaker 1: I'm just talking to men today to explain to them
- 4:30Speaker 1: to damn by the self and struggling trying to figure
- 4:33Speaker 1: this thing out, that you are not alone in your
- 4:36Speaker 1: quest for manhood. That is difficult, even though it's interesting. Yesterday,
- 4:40Speaker 1: the Dating Game guy, he said the reason I didn't
- 4:43Speaker 1: get to say this on the air, but I read
- 4:44Speaker 1: his profile. He said one of the reasons he was
- 4:47Speaker 1: still single because he was trying to find himself as
- 4:50Speaker 1: a man. He was forted too. But I'm i gotta
- 4:53Speaker 1: I go. I gotta tell you, man, um manhood is
- 4:57Speaker 1: that kind of difficult, and it becomes even more compounded
- 5:01Speaker 1: if a young boy does not have a male role model.
- 5:05Speaker 1: I've said it a thousand times. I'll say it again.
- 5:08Speaker 1: A young boy without a male role model is like
- 5:11Speaker 1: an explorer without a map. Well, I have a suggestion
- 5:15Speaker 1: for everybody that's struggling with manhood and all of the
- 5:18Speaker 1: men out there that are men. This messages for all
- 5:21Speaker 1: of us, and it's for me too. You know. I
- 5:24Speaker 1: was listening to Joyce Myers the other day and um,
- 5:28Speaker 1: she made a statement. She said, sometimes you gotta do
- 5:31Speaker 1: the right thing, even when it feels wrong. You know.
- 5:35Speaker 1: One of the difficulties of manhood is pure pressure and
- 5:42Speaker 1: the misguided principles of manhood. See what God wants us
- 5:47Speaker 1: to be as men and what we believe manhood, it
- 5:52Speaker 1: is sometimes two different things. Give you an example. I
- 5:56Speaker 1: wrote this book for women, right and I was telling
- 5:59Speaker 1: them that three ways that a man shows his love,
- 6:02Speaker 1: and I call him three p's. We profess, we protect,
- 6:06Speaker 1: and we provide. Every man who is a man, that's
- 6:10Speaker 1: how he exhibits love. We're not talkie talkie comforting, were
- 6:14Speaker 1: not great nurturers. But when it comes down to to it,
- 6:18Speaker 1: what we all want to do, what is in our
- 6:20Speaker 1: day DNA, is to profess our love for something you
- 6:24Speaker 1: as a woman, to protect you as a woman, and
- 6:26Speaker 1: to provide for you as a woman. That's in our DNA. Now.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Sometimes that gets messed up. And I'll give you an example.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Sometimes when a boy doesn't have the proper, real role
- 6:37Speaker 1: model in his life, he takes that principle of love
- 6:40Speaker 1: that we all possess in us every man, the professing part,
- 6:43Speaker 1: the protecting and the and the in a providing part,
- 6:46Speaker 1: and we misplay it. That's why gangs exist. Gangs exist
- 6:51Speaker 1: off those three principles. What's the first thing a gang
- 6:54Speaker 1: member do? He professed, He claimed the hood. That's the
- 6:58Speaker 1: first thing you do. This is my neighborhood. I'm deuce, tray,
- 7:01Speaker 1: I'm triple h, I'm due d dude, I'm purple, I'm
- 7:04Speaker 1: I'm red, I'm blue. The first thing they do is claim.
- 7:07Speaker 1: That's professing. That's how we show our love. But it's
- 7:10Speaker 1: misguided though. Now we're professing something that ain't even good
- 7:15Speaker 1: for us. Your hood, your game, your click. Now guess what.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Now we got to protect it. So now as a
- 7:24Speaker 1: protection part of our love, here we go. You come
- 7:27Speaker 1: down here, we're gonna do this to you. You go
- 7:30Speaker 1: over there, they're gonna do that to you. You protect
- 7:33Speaker 1: your hood. This is your turf, just all you got.
- 7:35Speaker 1: You ain't nobody coming down here with blue owned. Can
- 7:37Speaker 1: anybody come over here with red on? You can't come
- 7:39Speaker 1: over here with purple on. You can't come over here
- 7:41Speaker 1: with black and gold on. And we and we protect
- 7:44Speaker 1: that because that's in our DNA. And then what's the
- 7:47Speaker 1: third thing we provide? So guess what the gang need money?
- 7:50Speaker 1: Guess what we do. We're selling drugs, We're selling women,
- 7:55Speaker 1: we're selling guns. It go back to the same thing. Man.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I don't know how God gave it to me that
- 8:01Speaker 1: way when I was writing a book, but he showed
- 8:03Speaker 1: it to me along the way. That's how men love well.
- 8:06Speaker 1: When you don't have a role model in your life.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Guess what not that love is misplaced, is misguided, It's
- 8:12Speaker 1: off track. Ain't no man told you that. Really you're
- 8:14Speaker 1: supposed to take this love and give it to a woman.
- 8:17Speaker 1: You're really supposed to profess, protect and provide for a woman,
- 8:21Speaker 1: not your gang set. Now you're professing your hood, repping
- 8:25Speaker 1: a color, you're protecting your territory, shooting people driving by
- 8:29Speaker 1: coming over you on your street. And then you provide.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Now you are here selling drugs and guns. For the
- 8:33Speaker 1: same thing. When a board does not have a male
- 8:36Speaker 1: role model, he has a misguided way of looking at manhood.
- 8:42Speaker 1: The reason I'm saying is today is cause fellas, this
- 8:44Speaker 1: is what I'm saying. Co're tripping yourself out, man and
- 8:48Speaker 1: find out the type of man God wants you to be.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Here's the deal. See, God created all of us in
- 8:55Speaker 1: his image. That means He's put some of our DNA
- 8:59Speaker 1: in him. That's wise in your DNA to profess, protect
- 9:02Speaker 1: and provide, because guess what, that's what God do for us,
- 9:06Speaker 1: because we his children. God provides for us, He protects us,
- 9:12Speaker 1: and he professes his love for us. He claims us,
- 9:16Speaker 1: he died on the cross for us. He done all
- 9:18Speaker 1: that for us. I'm just talking to me, and right now,
- 9:22Speaker 1: you don't want to be in your house when the
- 9:23Speaker 1: when the cop knocking on the dope. You want to
- 9:26Speaker 1: be laying there pc when my doorbell rang and go
- 9:28Speaker 1: answer because thein't no police coming over here, cause I
- 9:31Speaker 1: ain't done nothing for them to come. You can't go
- 9:33Speaker 1: to your dough like that when you got weed in
- 9:35Speaker 1: the back, you got crack in the back, you got
- 9:37Speaker 1: cocaine in the back. You can't go answering your dough.
- 9:42Speaker 1: You hear that, you gotta start flushing tarnts and stuff. Man,
- 9:45Speaker 1: that's crazy. I'm just telling you, man, I had to
- 9:48Speaker 1: wake up about five years ago. I wasn't doing what
- 9:51Speaker 1: God wanted me to do, and then he shook me.
- 9:54Speaker 1: He said, Man, I'm gonna bring about some changes in
- 9:56Speaker 1: your life. I'm gonna cause some things to happen that's
- 10:00Speaker 1: gonna put you in a position. And this time you're
- 10:02Speaker 1: gonna listen to me, because if you don't, you're gonna
- 10:05Speaker 1: keep living in this pain you've been in. But you
- 10:07Speaker 1: put yourself in this pain. I owe no blame to
- 10:10Speaker 1: no one else but myself. Please know, I know that.
- 10:13Speaker 1: And that's how we really get to manhood. When you
- 10:16Speaker 1: figure out what you hadn't done wrong. You can't blame
- 10:19Speaker 1: this on none of your exes because you're a man.
- 10:21Speaker 1: You can't go my ex dear this. No, No, you're
- 10:23Speaker 1: a man. Partner. You gotta take responsibility for yours and
- 10:27Speaker 1: yours alone. If you got kids, you got to get
- 10:31Speaker 1: to him some kind of way. Write him a letter,
- 10:34Speaker 1: send them the money. If she won't let you see it,
- 10:36Speaker 1: for the money, whatever, send the money to a mama.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Do what you're supposed to do as a man. Do
- 10:41Speaker 1: what God wants you to do, man, because he's not
- 10:44Speaker 1: letting us off the hook for what we're supposed to
- 10:47Speaker 1: be just because you ain't doing it. And if you
- 10:50Speaker 1: do it, you turn your life around. Just holding that
- 10:53Speaker 1: the fellas today that saw sorry about that. You're listening, ladies, gentlemen,
- 11:02Speaker 1: boys and girls. This is the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 11:05Speaker 1: This is Winter Olympic Headquarters. I am watching Winter Olympics.
- 11:13Speaker 1: So congratulations. USA is on the board with some gold medals.
- 11:17Speaker 1: I mean some medals right now. Uh the medal count.
- 11:22Speaker 1: I don't know exactly. I just watch it, you know,
- 11:25Speaker 1: as a as a you know, just a conservative watcher.
- 11:31Speaker 1: I'm not a fanatic about it, but I do watch it.
- 11:34Speaker 1: I love all the Olympics. I watched Little Red when
- 11:38Speaker 1: in the first gold medal, seventeen years old. The little
- 11:40Speaker 1: boy wanted his gold medal. He didn't even really know
- 11:41Speaker 1: what hell going on. I didn't want to do seven team. Man,
- 11:47Speaker 1: he won this medal. He he don't even really know
- 11:50Speaker 1: what's really going on. Yeah, but he want to go. Uh.
- 11:56Speaker 1: They took off. I believe the ice skating team took
- 12:02Speaker 1: a silver medal in the team and that was good. Uh,
- 12:11Speaker 1: but I thought that the American dude got ripped off.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Good morning, y'all. I'm sorry, I'm just going on and
- 12:17Speaker 1: on about mom morning. I think we have four medals
- 12:22Speaker 1: right now, to gold, one silver, one bronze. How's our
- 12:26Speaker 1: speed skater doing? But no, um, I don't know the
- 12:32Speaker 1: mommy are you watching mommy? Curlin Steve, it ain't it
- 12:38Speaker 1: ain't really got underway good yet. But I watches that though,
- 12:45Speaker 1: watches that hang in the air like I wasn't confused.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Confused has nothing to do with confusion. Was understand when
- 12:59Speaker 1: he and he watches Donaldson, Hey, Julie, Well, the reason
- 13:06Speaker 1: why they want to get specific with the metal count,
- 13:08Speaker 1: it's because it could change. Yeah, you know every day.
- 13:11Speaker 1: That's true, because they had what is it a day, Yeah,
- 13:15Speaker 1: they're a day and a half or something ahead of other.
- 13:18Speaker 1: And then well we got a silver medal in delusion.
- 13:21Speaker 1: We've never medaled in louse before ever. I think it's
- 13:29Speaker 1: just that little slid, that little thing you made back
- 13:31Speaker 1: on first first and you come barreling down that. Yeah,
- 13:38Speaker 1: they got another one where you where you on your
- 13:40Speaker 1: stomach and your head first. I'm not doing that one.
- 13:43Speaker 1: I'm not doing either one of ankle off first or something.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Can't just tear my out. But I'm trying to get
- 13:55Speaker 1: the skater's name that they ripped off. Man, the little
- 13:58Speaker 1: dude from America? Is it Adam ripping? Oh? The first
- 14:05Speaker 1: openly gay couple at the Olympics. Is that what? Well,
- 14:08Speaker 1: I didn't know he was a couple. I don't dating
- 14:12Speaker 1: in a team. He skated his yeah he did, and
- 14:17Speaker 1: and uh and they gave this dude a tenth of
- 14:19Speaker 1: a point better than him. That was horrible, man, that
- 14:21Speaker 1: that dude really beat that dude. Oh so he got
- 14:23Speaker 1: snub Yeah, all right, listen, coming up something funny happy

- 23:13Speaker 1: casket for for for my sister, and uh, I'm assuming
- 23:17Speaker 1: this is the same thing that you guys went through.
- 23:19Speaker 1: I called several of her, her children, but I wasn't
- 23:23Speaker 1: able to get in touch with anybody. But the funeral
- 23:25Speaker 1: home actually had your name on file as well, so
- 23:28Speaker 1: they gave me your number where I would be able
- 23:30Speaker 1: to talk to you. Is that is that? Okay? Yeah,
- 23:33Speaker 1: that's okay. You can speak to me, but you know,
- 23:36Speaker 1: let things be a problem. Well listen, uh we we
- 23:39Speaker 1: the the funeral is actually in two days and we
- 23:43Speaker 1: ordered one of those special caskets, but it doesn't look
- 23:47Speaker 1: like it's gonna be in for another week, so you know,
- 23:50Speaker 1: it's almost like we're gonna we're gonna we're not gonna
- 23:52Speaker 1: have a casket for her. Um, you know, for the funeral,
- 23:57Speaker 1: and you know that, like I said, the funeral home
- 23:59Speaker 1: told us about you know that, you guys were the
- 24:01Speaker 1: last ones that ordered a casket of that size, and
- 24:05Speaker 1: you know, me and the rest of the family has
- 24:07Speaker 1: been you know, we've been trying to figure out what
- 24:08Speaker 1: to do and what to do. Do you think it's
- 24:11Speaker 1: any way possible we can borrow the casket that your
- 24:16Speaker 1: ain't is in, and then when the casket comes in
- 24:20Speaker 1: and we ordered, we can put her in that casket
- 24:24Speaker 1: and put her back down to rest like she's always been.
- 24:27Speaker 1: Do you think that's? Excuse me? Hello, hello, you think
- 24:33Speaker 1: could you repeat yourself? What exactly are you asking me? Well,
- 24:37Speaker 1: what I'm saying is, do you think we can borrow
- 24:39Speaker 1: your ain't casket? Because you know, the funerals in two
- 24:43Speaker 1: days and the casket is not gonna be in in
- 24:46Speaker 1: order for us to be able to bury her in
- 24:48Speaker 1: a in a casket for you know, to accommodate her size.
- 24:51Speaker 1: That's what I'm asking. What kind of that you're talking about?
- 24:56Speaker 1: First of all, who is this? Okay? No, my name
- 24:59Speaker 1: is Larry, Like I say, my name is Larry. I
- 25:00Speaker 1: got you, I got you guys like I said, I
- 25:03Speaker 1: tried to call some of her kids, but nobody ever
- 25:05Speaker 1: picked up when I called yea her nieces number all
- 25:10Speaker 1: file to you. You are her niece, Vicky, right, Yes,
- 25:14Speaker 1: I am. Okay, that's what I'm saying. Do you think
- 25:17Speaker 1: that maybe you can talk to the children and see
- 25:20Speaker 1: if we can maybe used that particular casket? Okay, wait
- 25:24Speaker 1: a minute, what the talking about this? The First of all,
- 25:27Speaker 1: who who is this? You? You gotta be losing your
- 25:30Speaker 1: mind if you think I'm gonna let you dig up
- 25:33Speaker 1: my any just to bury yourself stuff. But I understand
- 25:36Speaker 1: where you come from. But what I'm trying to say
- 25:38Speaker 1: is that we don't have a casket big enough and
- 25:41Speaker 1: they were they they let us know that you guys
- 25:43Speaker 1: were the last ones that had a casket that you
- 25:46Speaker 1: know you're gonna do with us? Dash? You don't trying
- 25:49Speaker 1: stuff figuring out? Have you? No? No? Well? Okay, first
- 25:53Speaker 1: of all, what I'm trying to do is this. The
- 25:56Speaker 1: family been grieving pretty hard and I just wanted to
- 25:58Speaker 1: make sure that the funeral will be right, and it
- 26:00Speaker 1: ain't gonna be right. Don't bring my family gonna feel
- 26:04Speaker 1: dig in my any of you show they don't call
- 26:07Speaker 1: me with this. Who is the funeral home that gave
- 26:12Speaker 1: you my number to add me to use the cassket
- 26:15Speaker 1: so you can bury your sister. Who is the name
- 26:18Speaker 1: of that person? I can't remember, but it was it
- 26:20Speaker 1: was It was a guy. The funeral director let me
- 26:22Speaker 1: know that you guys had went through a situation where
- 26:25Speaker 1: you had to bury your your your your aunt. Like
- 26:27Speaker 1: I said, I tried to call what's your name again?
- 26:31Speaker 1: My name is Larry? Okay, Larry? This is this is
- 26:33Speaker 1: the stupid I don't know what give you my phone
- 26:36Speaker 1: number to call me asking you just done? Can you
- 26:39Speaker 1: believe they call her asking me to can dig up
- 26:44Speaker 1: they can bury that don't have a casset? Hello, No, no,
- 26:50Speaker 1: what what's your fault? No? I understand it's not your fault.
- 26:54Speaker 1: What I'm trying to say is what y'all show some
- 26:56Speaker 1: sympathy and some love for me and my family going
- 26:59Speaker 1: through because we're don't have a cask Like I say,
- 27:02Speaker 1: my sister, my souster wasn't was you know, if the
- 27:04Speaker 1: heaven was a heavinshep good. You know. My conduleces go
- 27:08Speaker 1: out to you and your family. You know, I'm trying
- 27:10Speaker 1: to be as reserve as I can with this whole situation.
- 27:14Speaker 1: But do you understand what kind of stupid you're asking
- 27:17Speaker 1: me right now to actually dig up my un Whose armed,
- 27:21Speaker 1: who's been? And what I'm for fun? Yes, because bury
- 27:24Speaker 1: your sister. Let me ask you this like this were you,
- 27:32Speaker 1: you ain't ain't gonna know she ain't don't know where
- 27:34Speaker 1: you for you to say to me like what I
- 27:40Speaker 1: don't you're smoking on you smoking crack? What I don't know?
- 27:47Speaker 1: First of all, you know what I First of all,
- 27:49Speaker 1: I appreciate you trying to work with me, but I
- 27:51Speaker 1: want to say this you you don't even have the
- 27:53Speaker 1: authority to make that decision if you give me one
- 27:56Speaker 1: of the numbers to one of your cousins. The couple.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Really trying to be nice and be calm, but guess what,
- 28:03Speaker 1: we're not doing this stupid. I'm trying to be nice
- 28:06Speaker 1: to you and tell and trying to help you out,
- 28:08Speaker 1: but no, you want me to get ignorant and ask
- 28:10Speaker 1: stupid with you. I was trying to be nice and sympathetic,
- 28:13Speaker 1: but we're not doing it. I'm not giving you another
- 28:16Speaker 1: I got the authority to tell you right now, we're
- 28:20Speaker 1: not digging up so you can bury yourselfs Okay, so
- 28:24Speaker 1: so so so so, that's just it. I can't talk
- 28:26Speaker 1: to now. That's it. Now you aren't talking to over,
- 28:29Speaker 1: You're talking to me. Okay, I got I got, I
- 28:31Speaker 1: got something else. I need to tell you though, I need,

- 33:09Speaker 1: You know what NB should have did. They should have
- 33:11Speaker 1: cut a deal. But I don't want to live in
- 33:13Speaker 1: New York. You don't have enough job so that I
- 33:17Speaker 1: leave something though, I have to cut something loose. But
- 33:20Speaker 1: if they you know, i'd go up there and do
- 33:21Speaker 1: to Today Today Show. I don't know. They probably think
- 33:24Speaker 1: I don't talk up. You'd have to cut something loose?
- 33:28Speaker 1: What would Yeah? I want to hear that. I know
- 33:31Speaker 1: you've been I say that radio show, I know you've

- 33:52Speaker 1: going to New York with him. You're gonna be a writer.
- 33:58Speaker 1: I'm I'm gonna go anyway. I don't know. I don't.
- 34:05Speaker 1: I wouldn't know. I don't think that really has an
- 34:08Speaker 1: appeal to me. That's not the format that I would
- 34:11Speaker 1: excel in. You gotta get up real early, Steve, that
- 34:14Speaker 1: I don't bother me. You're the one is somebody talking

- 34:43Speaker 1: stuff happening. Thank you really for staking up for me,
- 34:47Speaker 1: making excuses for him. Sure, you always do that. You
- 34:50Speaker 1: always make excuses for people. Stuff happened. Steve Is here's
- 34:55Speaker 1: good people with more of today's headlines. All right, you
- 35:00Speaker 1: gotta introduce her. Steve, Well, you just did it. Lazy
- 35:03Speaker 1: gym and ms and is here with more today's headline
- 35:05Speaker 1: go aheads. Okay, thank you, everybody. This is entered for
- 35:09Speaker 1: the news. President Trump unveiled to his twenty nineteen budget
- 35:13Speaker 1: proposals yesterday. It calls for increased spending on the military.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Military was totally depleted, and we will have a military
- 35:21Speaker 1: like we've never had before. Also money for border security
- 35:24Speaker 1: and the opioid crisis. However, most of the document already
- 35:27Speaker 1: basically null and void, since the Congress passed its own
- 35:30Speaker 1: spending bill last night last week you may remember calling
- 35:32Speaker 1: for many of the same things. However, there would be
- 35:34Speaker 1: some changes. The presidents long awaited one and a half
- 35:37Speaker 1: a trillion dollar plan would upgrade the nation's roads and rails,
- 35:41Speaker 1: but it would change the formula for the funding. For instance,
- 35:44Speaker 1: while some highway projects are funded like eight twenty, with
- 35:48Speaker 1: the fits playing the lion share of that money, the
- 35:51Speaker 1: White House's proposal would flip that, with the financial burden
- 35:55Speaker 1: onto the states and local governments of the states and
- 35:57Speaker 1: governments would have to pay eight percent of what they need,
- 36:00Speaker 1: and the government went on the federal govern would only pay.
- 36:03Speaker 1: The Democrats say that kind of bill would be dead
- 36:04Speaker 1: on arrival in the Congress because states and local governments
- 36:07Speaker 1: don't have any money. The Trump administration also seeking to
- 36:10Speaker 1: make changes in the current food stamp program, changes that
- 36:13Speaker 1: would see the people who received that aid given far
- 36:15Speaker 1: less control over the food they can choose to buy.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Two more Baltimore cops convicted of corruption charges and prosecutors
- 36:23Speaker 1: say they were members of a rogue firearms police unit
- 36:25Speaker 1: that prosecutors say robbed drug dealers, conducted the illegal searches,
- 36:29Speaker 1: covered up their crimes, and claimed unearned overtime. Puerto Rico's
- 36:33Speaker 1: efforts to rebuild its power grids suffered a set back
- 36:36Speaker 1: this week, now five months after her came a rear
- 36:38Speaker 1: raped over the island, a fire broke out in the
- 36:40Speaker 1: substation early this early Monday morning, actually Sunday night, early morning,
- 36:44Speaker 1: knocking out power to a number of homes and businesses.
- 36:46Speaker 1: Local officials say, though a lot of that power has
- 36:48Speaker 1: been restored. Sad news, singer Victimone has died. Victimon made
- 36:52Speaker 1: thousands of recordings over the years, and he provided a
- 36:54Speaker 1: lot of the background music in the movie Good Fellas,
- 36:57Speaker 1: if you remember hearing this in the back as they're
- 36:58Speaker 1: talking about killing people. Victimone, born in Brooklyn, died on
- 37:03Speaker 1: Sunday in Miami Beach at age nine. And finally, portraits
- 37:08Speaker 1: of former President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama now
- 37:11Speaker 1: hanging inside the National Portrait Gallery. Each was painted by
- 37:14Speaker 1: a different artist, but both were black, and Mr Obama
- 37:17Speaker 1: joked about how he tried to get the artists who
- 37:19Speaker 1: painted him to make some changes. I tried to negotiate
- 37:22Speaker 1: less gray hair, and is artistic integrity would not allow
- 37:30Speaker 1: him to do what I asked. I tried to negotiate
- 37:34Speaker 1: smaller ears and that didn't either. They're on my Facebook page.
- 37:38Speaker 1: We'll be back with more entertainment in today's trending topics
- 37:40Speaker 1: at twenty seconds after on the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 37:43Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Show. As we mentioned today,
- 37:48Speaker 1: is Marty Gray. It's that Tuesday and tomorrow is Valentine's Day.
- 37:54Speaker 1: Balantine's I've said it once and I've said it again. Balantine.
- 38:00Speaker 1: The guys listen up. Yeah, Steve recently broke down some
- 38:04Speaker 1: Valentine's Day dudes and don't well, can I just say
- 38:09Speaker 1: that I'm I'm set for tomorrow. Yeah, I'd have made
- 38:14Speaker 1: the plans. I tell you about it, But she might
- 38:18Speaker 1: be listening and it'll blow the surprise. But it ain't really,
- 38:21Speaker 1: But huh what doing? I'm gonna do something nice, man,
- 38:27Speaker 1: not really nothing expensive, just really nice and thoughtful. What what?
- 38:31Speaker 1: What bothers me calling? When he says, I'm not gonna
- 38:33Speaker 1: really spend no money, I'm just gonna do something night.
- 38:35Speaker 1: But when he say that, that's still seven eight thousand.
- 38:38Speaker 1: Now it's reality. I'm not hating on it. I'm just
- 38:43Speaker 1: saying that what we're telling us, you just doing some night,
- 38:50Speaker 1: something nice and some flowers and a car. That's something okay,
- 38:53Speaker 1: that can't happen that, you know, I'm gonna get flowers.
- 38:58Speaker 1: Flowers dot com thing cut everyone, she gonna sheep plugging. Yeah,
- 39:05Speaker 1: she don't get flowers. Ain't no doubt about that in
- 39:08Speaker 1: several places. Ain't no doubt about Now that's so romantic, Steve,
- 39:12Speaker 1: Now that I like, what's wrong with the flowers? Wait,
- 39:17Speaker 1: wait a minute, in several places. I gotta fix that's
- 39:24Speaker 1: very romantic. I gotta fixed up. Yeah, man yourself. So
- 39:28Speaker 1: how many different rooms is flowers? He dog? First of
- 39:32Speaker 1: all the house. The house is gonna be dubbed with
- 39:35Speaker 1: her flavor favorite flowers. Okay. So if I put flowers
- 39:38Speaker 1: in the kitchen and she to the first one, let
- 39:43Speaker 1: me playing something. Don't bring your little flowers over here. No,
- 39:47Speaker 1: I'm just asked. Go ahead. If I buy my wife
- 39:50Speaker 1: some flowers and I put him in the in the
- 39:52Speaker 1: big family room, I got some flowers. Now when she
- 39:55Speaker 1: goes to the bathroom, Kate, I just moved and flying
- 39:57Speaker 1: to the bathroom. You make a big moves whenever she go,
- 40:02Speaker 1: would she go? I get tired. I tell my son, well,
- 40:07Speaker 1: your mama go take these flowers over you showed. And
- 40:14Speaker 1: do you know that Jay is single, be doing nothing
- 40:19Speaker 1: this Valentine's Day? So keep on listening to Team Tommy.
- 40:25Speaker 1: Yet you can take a picture of those flowers and
- 40:28Speaker 1: spread them over the house. Tommy being cheap and just
- 40:36Speaker 1: put flowers in her bathroom, in her bedroom, in the kitchen,
- 40:42Speaker 1: in the family room, and whatever room she frequents. Okay,
- 40:45Speaker 1: so if I got a dozen, do I just break

- 51:16Speaker 1: it is? All right? Man? Come on now you're not

- 51:36Speaker 1: you ain't been doing nothing. What I didn't even notice?
- 51:46Speaker 1: What did I do with him? I had him on
- 51:50Speaker 1: when I left at the time at home. You can

- 52:05Speaker 1: don't tell me when you put one out, do you
- 52:07Speaker 1: immediately start working on the next one. Is that how
- 52:09Speaker 1: that goes? I'm trying. I always try to put a
- 52:11Speaker 1: theme together on what the next one would be, like
- 52:13Speaker 1: like I've been thinking about I've been thinking about like
- 52:15Speaker 1: school teachers, you know, and you're saying theme, You're talking
- 52:18Speaker 1: about the brank CD, the prank CD, like I think
- 52:25Speaker 1: you should do other stupid people like prank comedians because
- 52:30Speaker 1: they can't take a joke. Why is that, Well, because
- 52:34Speaker 1: we're so used to joking that come at us. We're sensitive,
- 52:40Speaker 1: sive and Steve Harvey cannot Oh my god, Steve present
- 52:45Speaker 1: coming not included what you'll do. Yeah, but like for instance,
- 52:51Speaker 1: he's just what you tell. You tell you text us
- 52:57Speaker 1: all the time. You expect us to get right back
- 53:00Speaker 1: to you immediately, immediately. So the other day you text
- 53:04Speaker 1: Monica and she texted you back. Can't talk right now.
- 53:08Speaker 1: I'll let you threaten. What are you talking about, Jay,
- 53:16Speaker 1: he can't take a joke. I quit. I quit texting
- 53:20Speaker 1: because I feel a certain kind of way when you
- 53:22Speaker 1: don't hit me back, and he don't hit you back
- 53:25Speaker 1: soon as soon as you expect me not to get
- 53:29Speaker 1: upset and please doing convenience hearing the joke telling bsiness,
- 53:33Speaker 1: not in the joke taking. Let's be clear, let's do
- 53:39Speaker 1: you know Yeah, that's right. Take your little joke over
- 53:41Speaker 1: there with somebody who you know up falling. Yeah, we
- 53:45Speaker 1: don't so we don't want to hit jokes. I don't
- 53:48Speaker 1: understand that to me, I'll tell you, okay, is the
- 53:56Speaker 1: first thing Junior is like that though, I'm what you
- 54:02Speaker 1: can't like that? Why would you do that? You know
- 54:09Speaker 1: other people, Suley, There's plenty of people out there. Did
- 54:13Speaker 1: we write jokes about and fault? It's way more than
- 54:19Speaker 1: why are you over here with your specialist? Who he
- 54:22Speaker 1: got time for your little antics? Seeing? Plus what you
- 54:25Speaker 1: think funny ain't really funny because it's telling you. That's
- 54:29Speaker 1: why it's not funny. It's funny how he came up with, Suley,
- 54:35Speaker 1: it ain't you don't never be heavy, It ain't well
- 54:38Speaker 1: thought out, it ain't nothing. It's just be a little
- 54:40Speaker 1: simple as how dare you judge joke? I can't judge
- 54:47Speaker 1: because I write them for a living god, girl, you're
- 54:54Speaker 1: not able to laugh at yourself sometimes all the time.
- 54:59Speaker 1: Listen coming for what coming up At the top of
- 55:01Speaker 1: the hour, we have today's Strawberry letter and it's one
- 55:04Speaker 1: of course you don't want to miss. We'll be right back.

- 56:47Speaker 1: take that from they got. They got Mardy Gral and
- 56:51Speaker 1: they got that building on Airport Boulevard with the sign
- 56:56Speaker 1: that go round and the label on the top that
- 56:59Speaker 1: they played in that damn battleship out there. You try
- 57:02Speaker 1: to take one of them three things where your best
- 57:06Speaker 1: friend is from. Steve's from Montgomery, not Mobile. No, no, yeah,
- 57:15Speaker 1: that is definitely morself. Yeah, so we just want to
- 57:20Speaker 1: say happy, I have some friends down there. All Uh,
- 57:24Speaker 1: that's the first time we ever saw all black audience.
- 57:26Speaker 1: Steve was in Mobile, That's right. I started that. I
- 57:30Speaker 1: was first wanted to start a radio night down there, BLX.
- 57:37Speaker 1: I started a radio audience down there. I was the
- 57:40Speaker 1: first walk. Really it had all black audiences. We just
- 57:44Speaker 1: do all white clubs. I mean all white audiences. I
- 57:46Speaker 1: meant to say, and that was the only that was
- 57:48Speaker 1: the first place in people to start it. Were you
- 57:51Speaker 1: something all black on Tuesday night? Then y'all can thank
- 57:54Speaker 1: Steve Harvey YouTube pioneers. We appreciate an until I started
- 58:04Speaker 1: black radio night down in Mobile nine b LX. What'ston
- 58:09Speaker 1: boys name? Skip Cheating was down there, Grig Street was
- 58:14Speaker 1: down now Tony Brown I think, yeah, yeah, he was
- 58:21Speaker 1: down there, and then it was a sales dude name
- 58:23Speaker 1: and I'm looking at his face. Great, great, look at us, man,
- 58:31Speaker 1: were on the front, poor dolphin stret you should be
- 58:36Speaker 1: on dolphin streets. All right, let's get to the letter.
- 58:41Speaker 1: We'll think of it. I still don't know who started Monty,
- 58:44Speaker 1: but okay we when we're nothing to help you, don't
- 58:48Speaker 1: go to mobile anytime soon. That year A strawberry A
- 58:57Speaker 1: subject needing Big Daddy's opinion. Getting morning, Steve Harvey and Crew.
- 59:01Speaker 1: I'm writing this letter because I'm a thirty year old
- 59:03Speaker 1: single mother of one who finally decided to be in
- 59:05Speaker 1: a committed relationship after being married before divorced and then
- 59:09Speaker 1: the dating game for a few years, so I've had
- 59:12Speaker 1: a little time to free myself. The man I am
- 59:15Speaker 1: seeing is also thirty years old, and we've been seeing
- 59:18Speaker 1: each other for five months. He's sweet, patient, well mannered, giving,
- 59:23Speaker 1: hard worker, willing to compromise, very affectionate, and is a
- 59:27Speaker 1: Tony the Tiger great lover. The only thing is that
- 59:31Speaker 1: he has five kids by four different women, ranging from eleven, five, four,
- 59:37Speaker 1: three years of age and seven months. Don't get me wrong,
- 59:41Speaker 1: I knew all kids and parents at the very beginning,
- 59:45Speaker 1: but now I have strong feelings for this man. He
- 59:48Speaker 1: explained to me that he had all those kids with
- 59:50Speaker 1: that many women by circumstance in relationship, in relationships with
- 59:55Speaker 1: some and flings with others. He also states he has
- 59:58Speaker 1: never found a woman worth settling down with prior to
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: meeting me. He is definitely a man I've seen with
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: my own eyes that he takes care of all his
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: kids and spends time with all. My issue is, I
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: wonder could there really be a future with this man.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: I haven't had any baby mama drama just yet, and
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: I hope I never will. He and I communicate about
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: that as well, and he says he has it all
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: under control. I care for this man and want to
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: have a future one day with him and his small
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: football team, But is it possible with a man with
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: so many kids? Thanks so much, sincerely, needing Big Daddy's opinion. Okay,
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: to you, I say, slow your role, hold up just
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: a little bit. Okay, five months, five months. You know
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: you've only known brother man with the five kids by
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: four different women for five months, and five months is
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: not a long time for you to get to know
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: a person, but it is enough time for you to
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: know what he wants you to know, you said, He
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: explained to you that he had all these kids with
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: so many women circumstance. Okay, what does that mean? I
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: really really don't know what that means. And here's my
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: question to all of that. Hello, Mr Tony the Tiger
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: great lover, why are you Why weren't you using protection? Why?
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: Eleven five four three? And then you have won seven
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: months old and you've just been in a relationship with
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: her for five months. I'm saying to you, young lady,
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: take your time. Watch what he does, not what he says.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: He might claim to have everything under control in that
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: statement right there, bothers me because usually when they say that,
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: they don't. But with all he's got going on, plus
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: adding you and your child in the mix, things could
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: very well start to unravel at some point. So you
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: just need more time. Okay. He might be a good
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: man and he may have changed his weights, but five
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: months I don't think you can tell that, especially, you know,
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: with all these kids and stuff. Just hold on, Steve,
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: big dog, I have something for you. Started right, because
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: I only got a minute. Your third eye is working, huh,
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: simple though. Let me tell the people this though. If
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: you want to comment on the Strawberry letter, it is
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: posted right now. All you have to do is go
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey dot com, click on the Strawberry letter
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: and just get to type in Okay, Just like that,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: we'll be back with Steve Harvey's and you can go
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: on the website and read everybody's response to Yeah mine,
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: you will heal. You can't read, you can't type what
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: I'm fitous? Be not you? Oh just saying on the website,
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: you know does she said need and big daddy is opinion.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: That's what I said from you? What I what is?
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: Be that down? Soon as I can't say it again.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: Be that down as soon as I can't there to
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: pfing the tag up. Right after this, you're listening to
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, come on,
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: let's go. Let's get to this part two of your
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: response to today's I do we do subject needing Big
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: Daddy's Opinion. Good morning, Steve Harvey and crew. I'm writing
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: this letter because I'm a thirty year old single mother
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: of one who finally decided to be in a committed
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: relationship after being married before divorced and in the dating
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: game for a few years. So I have had a
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: little time to free myself. The man that I'm seeing
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: is also thirty years old and we have been seeing
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: each other for five months. He's sweet, patient, well manned, giving,
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: a hard worker, willing to compromise, very affectionate, and is
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: the Tony the Tiger great level. The only thing is
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: that he has five kids by four different women, ranging
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: from eleven, five, four three years of age, and seven more.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: Don't get me wrong, I knew all the kids and
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: parents at the very beginning, but now I have strong
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: feelings for this man. He explained to me that he
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: had all those kids with that many women by circumstances
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: in relationships and some and flings with others. He also
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: states that he's never found a woman worth settling down

- 1:10:46Speaker 1: Lady Michelle Obama. They were revealed yesterday. They were revealed yesterday,
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: the National Portrait Gallery that's where they're going to hang
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: in Washington, d C. As two new editions to its
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: collection of presidential portraits, former President Barack and First Lady Michelle.

- 1:11:09Speaker 1: only complete complete collection of portraits of presidents outside the
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: White House. The portrait of President Obama was by artist
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: Kahnde Wiley. It featured Obama sitting in a chair with
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: his arms folded with like this lush green background. You
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: guys see that right flowers? Who artist? His name is? What?

- 1:12:00Speaker 1: then Michelle Obama's portrait, by artist Amy sherrold Uh features
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: the former First Lady in a seated position, wearing like
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: a geometric pattern dress and against a light blue background.
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: Why because this artist was saying, that's how she paints
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: people of color. She paints you know, she paints them gray.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: I guess because of what the color gray represents. She's
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: an African American artist. Yeah, she paints she plaints mostly
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: African American people. And she didn't say, well, I mean
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: that's the artist's vision. That's the artist vision. Yeah, that's
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: that's the artist's vision. He said that he wanted the
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: president was saying, the artists wanted to paint him, you know,
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: kind of like a king high above uh everything in
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: a throne or mounted on a horse or something in
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: President Obama said, I have enough political problems right now.
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: I don't need anything you bring it down, bring it down. Yeah.
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: So anyway, so they'll be hanging the two new portraits
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: in the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, d C. There
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: you go, I mean these is these is the photos.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: Ain't no votes or nothing. Oh you mean are people
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: voting on the photos? Means just the photos? Yeah, these
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: are yeah. Yeah, these are the photos that will be hanging. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: that's what they're going with it. I'm all for Yeah,
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: it's it's yeah, okay, so what the artist says it
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: looks like and so you can't argue with that. Alright.
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: So now back to Black Panther. Guys. Uh and like
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: you were saying, Steve, all of America is anticipating Black Panther. Yeah,
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: opens in theaters Friday. It's only it's only sci fi
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: move I've ever wanted to see. Yeah, I mean, is

- 1:14:28Speaker 1: from buzz Rey BuzzFeed wrote, director Ryan Coogler has harnessed
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: the superhero movie and a really fun one to explore
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: profound ideas and create vivid images of black excellence that
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: so rarely ever make it to a giant Hollywood movie.
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: Check uh and Steve, I know we can't wait to
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: see this Black Panther movie. And Chadwick Boseman, we love him.

- 1:21:53Speaker 1: one more time. You're gonna get some of this right here.
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: He said, Well, all right, then the funeral director, don't
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: you think sometimes you know, well, um, she wouldn't have wanted,
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: you know, the deceased person. She wouldn't have wanted you
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: guys to act like this at her funeral, and all
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: probably wasn't sure. She probably wouldn't have wanted that, But
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: she kind of quiet though, and she don't know s.
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: I know that, but I'm just saying, you have to
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: govern yourselves accordingly. Yeah, that's what I would work. And
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: then the mama came out there. She was, this ain't
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: the place for that. Stop. And then that's when they stopped.
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: The mama made mama, mama getting it here and this

- 1:22:58Speaker 1: but I'm not gonna do a stand out in his hallway.
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: Then she said, didn't not say get in here. You
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: didn't want to get run on that with miss Wallace
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: right in there, didn't and somebody holding you. That's when
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: you get hit. When I'm in when someone won't stop it,
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: that's what I like. You see him. I told him,
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: just gonna get in your car, I'm in here trying
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: to play. Hey man, I'm dusing that sound a little wrong.
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: Why don't you just go head on? Well, I hope
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: that changed him as a man, if he was mistreating
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: her or whatever. Like the brothers said, I hope that
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: changed him for future relationship. I knew the relationship. It
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: wasn't abusive, you know what I mean? They just broke up. Okay,
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: Oh no, man, he wasn't beating that girl or nothing.
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: He never here. You come to that funeral, but they
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: were so grief stricken that you broke up. You know,
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: Sarah Jessica trying to show up at the funeral. I
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: don't know if she's trying to show up at the funeral.
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: I think she was just offering her condolences. I don't
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: think it would be a good idea if you want it.
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: You really know she knew. Well she's not a funerals too,
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: because I've been to one of them. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: Doc from walth West, Virginia. Fight everywhere, all right, look,
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: we'll be after this everywhere. You're listening to Steve Harvey
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: Morning Show. Alright, Steve, you were saying that you saw
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: a fight. What was this? Now an country yeah, country
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: people have very similar ways of settling stuff that I
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: think is very similar to the urban community. Well like,
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: for example, our performing to this place called Buckets. I
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: told you about this place. Headed pool table in the
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: middle of the room and they set fold away chairs
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: around it, and he had a stage. He it was
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: a card table. So just take a card table and
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: be in your closet that you flip the legs he
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: folded and under and put crystal lights on and said,
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: that's the stage. I'm saying, I'll be there but two
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: inches on the ground and then if you step off
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: of get back up on the stage. I got that visual.
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: I have that visual. Okay. It was a trailer park
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: up the street. Now I ain't saying that where they stayed,
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: but when all of them came to the club, they
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: all came from that direction. I don't know. I can't
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: safe for show. But it was a lot of houses
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: up there. It wasn't tied down on wheel and with
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: hitches on it. And most everybody came was in a
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: pickup truck, wait overalls and a lot of stuff. Said John, deal,
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: that's all I'm saying that. That's what it was. So
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: I finished perform and got my little money. I go
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: to hotel. The next morning. I'm leaving and I'm passing
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: by buckets and I see the club on the outside sweeping,
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: just a regular whish broom sweeping, not a push broom.
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: And it was a truck, one pickup truck in front
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: of it. So I stopped to thank the guy for
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: having me that night, just being nice. He's a maaze
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: nice guy, made one funniest people. Everything come out that
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: I wish you well, and I really do, thanks for coming.
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: And he looked over and he saw the pickup truck.
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: He's saying he was sweeping. He said, I got sweep
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: right here. Let me get this fill out of his truck.
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: So he took the broom and he knocked on the window.
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: I want. The dude was sleep and he knocked again,
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: and so he said, I don't know, I on my
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: window again with that broom. Well that that right there
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: to somebody stay up the street. Now I'm just assuming
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: he staying up the street in them you know places
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: with the hitches on them. That's like an invite. He said,
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: don't knock on my wind again. So he took that
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: broom and a pap right on it again. Now he
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: rose and wander down and they have an exchange the words.
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: He said, I just need you to move up because
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: I'm trying to squeet. So the dude said, didn't I
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: tell you nothing? Knock on my wonder, He said, I
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: just dead come on. So then he opens the door
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: and puts his foot out the truck sack right across
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: the head with that damn and broke, and then stepped
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: back with the remainder of the broom like I got
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: more for you if you keep walking. He said, what
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: next time I see you swing at swing at swing
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: at broom at mcgid. Next time I see you, I'm
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: gonna show you something. But he got on back in
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: that truck though, Yeah, yeah, and I stared Dan Bucky
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: said it son, mm hmmm, And I just went, let
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: me just get my black ass in this car so
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: I don't have to fill out my police report I
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: get arrested. Yeah, and I just drove off and never
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: been back there. All right, More of the Steve Harvey
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: Morning Show and Winter Olympics coverage right after this. It
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: was in the trailer park up the streets. You're listening

- 1:30:53Speaker 1: Love her team they have. I just I'm on NBC.
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: NBC should have took me, you know, we should have did.
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: They should have cut a deal. But I don't want
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: to live in New York. You don't have enough jobs,
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: so that leave something though. I have to cut something loose.
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: But if they, you know, i'd go up there and
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: do Today Today Show. I don't know. They probably think
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: I don't talk up. You'd have to cut something loose,
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: would Yeah, I want to hear that. I know you've been.
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: I say that radio show, I know you've been. Well,
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: that's the thing that's in direct conflict with you today,
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: in direct conflict from come on at six, and what
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: is that's gonna do? I'm going to New York with him.
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: You're gonna be a writer. I'm gonna I'm gonna go anyway.
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't I wouldn't know. I don't
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: think that really has an appeal to me. That's not
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: the format that I would exhale in. You gotta get
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: up real early, Steve. But that is somebody talking about
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: problems getting up that had trouble with my mike. What's that?
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: I'm I'm saying it and I'm sticking with it. He
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: was here for two hours. It might trouble, but we

- 1:33:20Speaker 1: of that. I did everything that happens. Then it's me. No,
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: Neil is my my manager comes up with a lot
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: of good stuff. Oh she's very yes, yes, y Kevin
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: Hart soon one day. What's your day? You said? Thank big?
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: Steve always says, think big. That's what I'm doing. He's

- 1:33:59Speaker 1: they would never know you was in there. You show up.
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: We're talking about thinking big. Jay, damn Kevin Hard. I
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: got Steve. He's bigger in the stand up world right now.
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: He's not bigger standing up. He would shout out to
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: Kevin Hart him, But did check comes from here? Okay.
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: Today's closing remark is another level of inspiration. I tried
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: to all I've been trying to in part this year.
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: I want to talk to you about one of the
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: keys to success. I want you to listen to this
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: carefully because this can apply to a lot of people,
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: because a lot of people get stuck. A lot of
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: people are stuck in their plan because they've committed themselves
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: to the plan, and the plan has to work no
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: matter what. So I'm gonna keep working the plan. I
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: want to remind you of something though, that as life changes,
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: plans change. I'm not saying that the goal has to change,
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: but I am saying that the plan to get to
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: the goal has variations to it. Look, you still may
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: have the goal of becoming rich or famous, or you're
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: becoming successful or owning the business or owning a company,
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: or moving up the corporate ladder, or completing your education
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: or getting the degree, or or finding your relationship or
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: getting a family and getting your family back in order.
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: Whatever your goal goal is, the goal can be the same.
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: The plan has to have variables to it because life moves, you. Know.
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: The thing about nature is nature. I've noticed one thing
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: in nature. There are no straight lines in nature that
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: are know, the most beautiful things I've ever seen are
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: in nature. But I don't recall seeing any straight lines
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: in nature. All rivers being and turn all mountains elevate
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: with curves and plateaus. Even the world is on the
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: curvature everything, every wave pattern is different, every beach is different.
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: There is no smooth land. It all has slight variables
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: in it that are no straight lines in nature. But
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: that's what makes it beautiful, the variations, the variations, the
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: movement of the earth and of nature, and of water
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: and of land and of air, of sea, of mountains,
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: of desert, terrain, it's all moving. It changes, it remains beautiful.
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: The desert is the desert, but it changes. So One
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: of the keys to success is reinvention. Never be afraid
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: to reinvent yourself. Reinvention is one of the keys to success.
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: I don't know too many people are success who are
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: stuck on the route they've chosen to take and will
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: not deviate because they just so hell bent and determine
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: it on doing it this one set way. Well, that's good,
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: that's great determination to have. But you need to take
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: that determination and apply it to reinvention because you can
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: reinvent yourself with the same amount of determination still get
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: to where you're going, just take a different route. Never
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: be afraid to reinvent yourself. I've done it. In my career,
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: time and time and time again. I'm always looking for
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: the variables in my life. When I'm trying to get
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: it one way and I don't see that it's happening,
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: and I've done everything I can do, maybe it's time
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: to start looking at another way to take it. Because
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: I gotta keep telling you, man, the definition of insanity
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: is to keep doing the exact same thing and expecting
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: a different result. That's insane. You cannot keep doing it
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: the same way and expect a different result. You just can't.
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: Reinvention is one of the keys to success. Open your
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: mind and your heart to another route, in another way.
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: Once again. You don't have to change the goal. You
- 1:39:03Speaker 1: don't have to change the objective, but you may have
- 1:39:06Speaker 1: to change the route. You may have to change the
- 1:39:10Speaker 1: course of action. It's called reinvention, y'all. Reinvention is the
- 1:39:14Speaker 1: key to success. All right, y'all have a good with me.
- 1:39:16Speaker 1: I hope you enjoyed that. Hope that helps somebody out
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: there to day. Closing, thank you, yeah for all. Steve
