- 0:00Speaker 1: Well, I can announce all of them now. I could
- 0:02Speaker 1: announce fifty to one hundred deals right now, because you know,
- 0:06Speaker 1: I'm the shopkeeper and I keep the store. You know,
- 0:08Speaker 1: I know what countries are looking for, and I know
- 0:10Speaker 1: what we're looking for, and I can just set those
- 0:12Speaker 1: terms and they can go shopping, or they don't have
- 0:15Speaker 1: to go shopping, because everybody wants to shop.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Here, you're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with
- 0:21Speaker 2: Ben Ferguson.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Good Saturday morning to you, Ben Ferguson with you, and
- 0:25Speaker 3: these are some of the stories that you may have
- 0:27Speaker 3: missed that we talked about this week on the forty
- 0:30Speaker 3: seven Morning Update. First up, Donald Trump has a big
- 0:33Speaker 3: week at the White House, meeting with Canada as well
- 0:36Speaker 3: as talking with China on trade negotiations.
- 0:40Speaker 4: Up next, in.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Another massive win, the cinelo At cartel was behind the
- 0:45Speaker 3: largest veetnyl seizure in US history, and the Trump administration
- 0:50Speaker 3: is letting Americans know to be careful of the pills
- 0:54Speaker 3: on the black market as the cinelo At cartel is
- 0:58Speaker 3: flooding America at record rates with drugs that are killing Americans.
- 1:03Speaker 4: And finally, Tom Homan making.
- 1:05Speaker 3: It very clear after police officers were attacked by illegal
- 1:09Speaker 3: immigrants in New York, that we are going to flood
- 1:13Speaker 3: sanctuary cities with ICE agents and we will go after
- 1:18Speaker 3: illegal immigrants at their places of work. How big of
- 1:22Speaker 3: an impact we us have. You'll hear from Tom Homan
- 1:25Speaker 3: in just a moment. It's the forty seven Morning Update
- 1:28Speaker 3: and it starts right now.
- 1:30Speaker 4: Story number one.
- 1:31Speaker 3: President Donald Trump is fresh office, hundred days in office,
- 1:34Speaker 3: and now we are getting worried that his administration has
- 1:38Speaker 3: no plan to slow down in the coming weeks, months,
- 1:41Speaker 3: or even years. This week, we're celebrating the most successful
- 1:45Speaker 3: first one hundred days of any presidential administration in the
- 1:49Speaker 3: history of our country. Is what Trump had to say
- 1:51Speaker 3: is he was addressing the University of Alabama on Thursday
- 1:55Speaker 3: at his commencement speech. Fast forward to week sixteen, back
- 1:59Speaker 3: in the oldfe and we now know what's happening when
- 2:03Speaker 3: it comes to the issue of trade with The President
- 2:06Speaker 3: is meeting with Canada's new leader and having ongoing talks
- 2:10Speaker 3: as well between Russia and Ukraine, and trade negotiations with
- 2:16Speaker 3: foreign nations are also expected to continue heating up.
- 2:19Speaker 4: At the White House today now.
- 2:21Speaker 3: The Canadian Prime Minister to visit the White House, and
- 2:24Speaker 3: a major point that they will be speaking about will
- 2:28Speaker 3: be how they can work on their trade deal. Now,
- 2:32Speaker 3: Carney's Liberal party emerged victorious in the nation's federal elections
- 2:37Speaker 3: last week, and now they will discuss the twenty five
- 2:40Speaker 3: percent tariff imposed on goods from the nation sent to
- 2:43Speaker 3: the US, and Trump's repeated urging that the US northern
- 2:47Speaker 3: neighbor become the fifty first state. Yes, it's still kind
- 2:51Speaker 3: of a joke. We are meeting as heads of our government,
- 2:55Speaker 3: Carney said Friday of the upcoming meeting. And I'm not
- 2:58Speaker 3: pretending that those discussions will be easy, he said.
- 3:01Speaker 4: Now.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Trump added during his Cabinet meeting with members on Thursday
- 3:06Speaker 3: that he said it was important that America get a
- 3:08Speaker 3: fair trade deal with Carney after Canada's elections, and predicted
- 3:13Speaker 3: they would have a quote great working relationship, saying He's
- 3:17Speaker 3: going to come to the White House very shortly, within
- 3:19Speaker 3: the next week or less, and everything will be on
- 3:22Speaker 3: the table. We also are finding out there's some movement
- 3:25Speaker 3: with China, as Beijing is evaluating trade negotiation offer as well.
- 3:30Speaker 3: In fact, China's Commerce ministry is now said publicly that
- 3:34Speaker 3: they are in negotiations with the US, and that officials
- 3:38Speaker 3: are quote evaluating an offer from the Trump administration to
- 3:42Speaker 3: hold trade talks on the one hundred and forty five
- 3:45Speaker 3: percent US tariffs on Chinese goods. This is signaling it
- 3:49Speaker 3: could be a very busy week of discussions if China
- 3:52Speaker 3: accepts the offer.
- 3:54Speaker 4: Quote.
- 3:54Speaker 3: The US has recently taken the initiative on many occasions
- 3:57Speaker 3: to convey information in China through relevant partys, saying it
- 4:01Speaker 3: hopes to talk with China. That coming from a new
- 4:05Speaker 3: report from Reuters. So what is the President doing, Well,
- 4:08Speaker 3: it's the art of the deal. He's attempting to use
- 4:11Speaker 3: the talks to get a better deal for American taxpayers
- 4:14Speaker 3: and also so that the world can go back to
- 4:17Speaker 3: more of a normal trading capacity. Back and forth, Trump
- 4:21Speaker 3: and the administration made it clear we're not going to
- 4:24Speaker 3: be taken advantage of, and neither will American workers. But
- 4:27Speaker 3: we're willing to hold trade negotiation with China, including the
- 4:31Speaker 3: President saying on April to eighth that we are waiting
- 4:33Speaker 3: for their call.
- 4:34Speaker 4: It will happen now.
- 4:36Speaker 3: The President said on NBC News Is Meet the Press
- 4:39Speaker 3: on Sunday that he will not drop the tariffs to
- 4:41Speaker 3: bring China to the negotiating table. He said that is
- 4:45Speaker 3: a non starter. So the President still holding firm but
- 4:49Speaker 3: saying we're more than ready to have a real talk
- 4:51Speaker 3: about changing the way that America has been taken advantage of.
- 4:56Speaker 4: Next story number two.
- 4:57Speaker 3: The Trump administration has announced a significant escalation immigration enforcement
- 5:03Speaker 3: targeting sanctuary cities, Tom Homan stating that if local jurisdictions
- 5:08Speaker 3: continue to resist cooperation with federal immigration authorities, the federal
- 5:13Speaker 3: government will respond by increasing the presence of ICE agents
- 5:17Speaker 3: in these areas. Homan emphasized that sanctuary cities are quote
- 5:22Speaker 3: going to get exactly what they don't want, more agents
- 5:26Speaker 3: in their community, and warned that ICE is prepared to
- 5:30Speaker 3: double the man force if we have to to carry out.
- 5:33Speaker 4: The enforcement actions now.
- 5:35Speaker 3: This intensified approach includes a focus on work site enforcement,
- 5:40Speaker 3: the White House, says. Homan indicated that if ICE agents
- 5:43Speaker 3: are unable to make arrests in jails or on the
- 5:46Speaker 3: streets due to local non cooperation with law enforcement in
- 5:50Speaker 3: the court systems, then they will increase operations at workplaces.
- 5:55Speaker 3: He stated, if we can't do it in the streets,
- 5:57Speaker 3: we're going to increase work side and enforcement operations. In
- 6:01Speaker 3: those sanctuary cities, and we're going to flood work site
- 6:04Speaker 3: enforcement operations. Now, these statements have sparked quote controversy, the
- 6:09Speaker 3: media claims and immigration advocacy groups are fighting back, arguing
- 6:14Speaker 3: that such aggressive enforcement tactics could quote strain community relations
- 6:19Speaker 3: and lead to the targeting of non criminal undocumented immigrants.
- 6:25Speaker 3: Now this comes as the media also freaked out saying
- 6:28Speaker 3: that Donald Trump took all of the fun out of
- 6:31Speaker 3: Cinco de Mayo. Why because many cities canceled or downplayed
- 6:35Speaker 3: their Singo Demyo events for fear of ice raids and deportations.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Chicago residents and the president of their local community group
- 6:44Speaker 3: said that people in the Hispanic community are quote very
- 6:48Speaker 3: scared of gathering in public, with some even considering going
- 6:51Speaker 3: back to Mexico on their own. By the way, that
- 6:54Speaker 3: is absolutely what the Trump administration is saying they want
- 6:58Speaker 3: to happen. Quote our people of very scared. Honestly, they're
- 7:01Speaker 3: saying they don't want to go to work. They have
- 7:03Speaker 3: to go to work because they have to feed their families.
- 7:06Speaker 3: So if they both were working. Now one person is
- 7:09Speaker 3: working as to why they canceled the Singo Demio parade
- 7:12Speaker 3: in Chicago's Little Village, which attracts up to three hundred
- 7:16Speaker 3: thousand people annually. Escobar said that too many people are
- 7:20Speaker 3: just afraid. How about the parade, how about the festivities?
- 7:24Speaker 3: And they say, well, if we're scared to go to work,
- 7:26Speaker 3: I don't think it's nothing to celebrate. So that took
- 7:29Speaker 3: us to the decision over money. We all see this
- 7:32Speaker 3: country as picking up people with no criminal records, he claims,
- 7:36Speaker 3: which is actually not true. If you come to the
- 7:39Speaker 3: United States of America illegally, you are a criminal. Back
- 7:42Speaker 3: to the statement, and honestly, it's a horrible way we
- 7:45Speaker 3: have seen in my last forty five years I've been
- 7:48Speaker 3: living here in the US, nothing like it.
- 7:51Speaker 4: And so let's just be clear.
- 7:52Speaker 3: This is exactly what the President of the United States
- 7:55Speaker 3: of America wanted. He wanted illegal immigrants to not feel
- 7:58Speaker 3: safe staying in the US. He wanted them to be
- 8:01Speaker 3: looking over his shoulder, and is hoping that many will
- 8:04Speaker 3: be deporting themselves, whether it's Chicago or Philadelphia, many other cities,
- 8:09Speaker 3: even in Oregon. The Latino Fests was also canceled there
- 8:14Speaker 3: as the executive director of the Latino Community Association said
- 8:17Speaker 3: there's just too much fear among illegal immigrants, or has
- 8:20Speaker 3: he described them migrants of being identified or detained simply
- 8:24Speaker 3: for participating in our cultural celebrations of Cinco de Mayo.
- 8:29Speaker 3: Democrats are also blaming Donald Trump for the quote economic impact,
- 8:33Speaker 3: saying the cancelations have had significant economic repercussions. In Chicago,
- 8:39Speaker 3: the Chamber of Commerce put out a statement estimating a
- 8:42Speaker 3: loss of approximately one point five million in direct income
- 8:46Speaker 3: for the city, in between five and six million for
- 8:49Speaker 3: local businesses due to the parades cancelation on Cinco de Mayo. Now,
- 8:53Speaker 3: all of this complaining comes at a time whether a
- 8:56Speaker 3: shocking video has come out showing illegal immigrants at hacking
- 9:00Speaker 3: police officers in New York. Tom Homan sitting down with
- 9:04Speaker 3: Laura Ingram on Fox talking about this attack on these
- 9:08Speaker 3: police officers and his plan to flood ice workforce in
- 9:13Speaker 3: sanctuary cities.
- 9:14Speaker 4: Take a listen, Jame's over.
- 9:16Speaker 5: We're going to look for these public safety threats and
- 9:18Speaker 5: we're going to take them off the streets in New
- 9:20Speaker 5: York and every other sanctuary city. A matter of fact,
- 9:22Speaker 5: every sanctuary theority city. We're going to triple the workforce.
- 9:26Speaker 5: We're gonna flood the zone with officers, and we can't
- 9:28Speaker 5: wrestle in the jail, we'll ar wrestling in the community.
- 9:30Speaker 5: If we can't arrestle in the community or arrest at
- 9:33Speaker 5: their work site, We're going to triple work side enforcement operations.
- 9:36Speaker 4: We're going to flood the zone.
- 9:37Speaker 5: We're going to take these public safety threats off the streets.
- 9:40Speaker 5: With your help or without your help.
- 9:42Speaker 3: One thanks for sure, law and order is back, and
- 9:45Speaker 3: the President United States of America is encouraging all of
- 9:48Speaker 3: those impositions of power around him to do the will
- 9:51Speaker 3: of the people, which is to get rid of illegal
- 9:53Speaker 3: immigrants in this country.
- 9:55Speaker 4: And finally, story number three.
- 9:56Speaker 3: The White House has made it very clear that when
- 9:59Speaker 3: it comes to law order, they are a full court
- 10:02Speaker 3: press and a team that is working together, whether it's
- 10:05Speaker 3: the Attorney General's Office, the FBI, and local law enforcement.
- 10:09Speaker 3: And now we have the largest fetanyl seizure in US
- 10:14Speaker 3: history tied to the Cineloa drug cartel. The Attorney General
- 10:19Speaker 3: coming out and sang a sell of the Cineloa cartel
- 10:22Speaker 3: operated in four major US cities. The cartel conducted a
- 10:26Speaker 3: large scale drug distribution operation throughout the western part of
- 10:30Speaker 3: the country that led federal authorities to the largest fetanyl
- 10:34Speaker 3: seizure ever. There was an illegal alien from Mexico that
- 10:38Speaker 3: led the group in the US, and the group ran
- 10:40Speaker 3: one of the largest fetanyl and drug distribution networks the
- 10:44Speaker 3: country has ever seen. Documents from the US Department of
- 10:47Speaker 3: Justice are now revealing the Cineloa cartel boss running this
- 10:51Speaker 3: fetanl empire. As it was described today from Oregon that
- 10:56Speaker 3: she tells you everything you need to know. Oregon sanction
- 11:00Speaker 3: wary policies kept this man safe. Pambondi making it clear
- 11:05Speaker 3: in her statements that this is a problem and it's
- 11:08Speaker 3: taking the lives of countless Americans. The number one killer
- 11:12Speaker 3: of fetanyl in this country is those between the ages
- 11:15Speaker 3: of eighteen and thirty four. And she had a warning
- 11:19Speaker 3: for the American people to tell your kids and your
- 11:22Speaker 3: grandkids about fake pills that are hitting the markets at
- 11:26Speaker 3: record pace.
- 11:27Speaker 6: The DEA seized eleven point five kilos of fentanyl, including
- 11:34Speaker 6: an astounding approximately three million fentanyl pills, the largest seizure
- 11:41Speaker 6: in our nation's history. These are the pills in the
- 11:45Speaker 6: valves right there the main bottom right.
- 11:48Speaker 4: The head of.
- 11:49Speaker 6: This organization, Sinaloa organization here in the country illegally. Six
- 11:54Speaker 6: of these guys and women here in the country illegally.
- 11:58Speaker 6: His name is Uberto Salazar Amaya. He is the leader
- 12:02Speaker 6: and he was living in Salem, Oregon. With him. They
- 12:06Speaker 6: got millions of dollars cash, cars, but the drugs were
- 12:11Speaker 6: in Albuquerque, Phoenix, and Utah. That's how insulated these drug
- 12:17Speaker 6: dealer cartel leaders make themselves. This was an incredible operation
- 12:23Speaker 6: and that's why I wanted all of you here behind me.
- 12:26Speaker 6: It took months and months of work, investigation leading up
- 12:31Speaker 6: to smaller buys, smaller cases to get this massive amount
- 12:36Speaker 6: of drugs and guns off our streets. Five million dollars
- 12:41Speaker 6: approximately in cash, thirty five kilos of metha amphetamine, thirty
- 12:46Speaker 6: five kilos of meth seven point five kilos of cocaine,
- 12:51Speaker 6: four point five kilos of heroin, forty nine rifles and pistols,
- 12:56Speaker 6: all shown in the pictures. And then of course the
- 12:59Speaker 6: three million pills. These pills were stamped as oxy codone.
- 13:05Speaker 6: Let that sink in three million pills going on our streets.
- 13:11Speaker 6: Three million pills the streets of our country laced with
- 13:14Speaker 6: fentanyl labeled as oxycodone, and they were in all different
- 13:19Speaker 6: strengths of fentanyl within them. This operation was made possible
- 13:24Speaker 6: by over fifty five thousand hours of law enforcement investigation.
- 13:31Speaker 6: And this is a really dangerous job that these DEA
- 13:35Speaker 6: agents face every day, but they are getting very dangerous
- 13:39Speaker 6: drugs off of our streets each day.
- 13:42Speaker 3: As Pambondi said, this is historic drug seizure led by
- 13:46Speaker 3: the DEA is a significant blow against the Cineloa cartel
- 13:50Speaker 3: that removes poison from our streets and protects American citizens
- 13:55Speaker 3: from the scourge of fetanyl. The Attorney General also making
- 13:59Speaker 3: it clear that he has the Trump administration behind her,
- 14:03Speaker 3: saying that we must continue to fight these cartels that
- 14:06Speaker 3: have been declared by Donald Trump a terrorist organization, a
- 14:10Speaker 3: designation it should have been done years ago by the
- 14:13Speaker 3: Biden administration, but instead Democrats are giving them sanctuary in
- 14:19Speaker 3: their city.
